Dealing With Death: Sudden Death - Duration: 4:55.

The phone rang at church.

And it was a, a frantic,

hurting father,

with his wife

in the vehicle next to him,

flying down the road.

It was one of my members,

frantically asking me to have prayer,

prayer that morning.

It was right before church

because their son was in a

horrible car accident.

He was clinging to life

and they knew he was going to die.

And they're trying to get to him.

I asked him how fast he was driving.

He wouldn't tell me.

I said, "If God wants you to get there,

"and to hold your

"son's hand while he's still alive

"and say your good bye,

"he will let you even if you

"drive a safe speed.

"Please slow down."

God gave him that blessing of

saying good-bye

to his son.

After church, I went there,

joined him at the hospital.

And eventually his son,

just 24 years of age,

brilliant life,

joy, just joy pouring out of this guy,

and he died.

Very suddenly.

How do you deal with that?

How do you deal

when a death is sudden,

and it's harsh and it hits you?

If you're dealing with death

of a suicide,

go to our website,

go to yourtimeofgrace.org,

keyword search "suicide."

I put a devotion series out there on that.

It can give you extra peace.

But if you're dealing with death

because of an accident,

or disease or something that happens,

what do you do?

First of all,

get that person who's hurting or yourself

talking.

We have to get

the reality of what happened

into our minds.

Because suddenly we're in shock

and we, we stay there.

When we're at that hospital,

that father and mother,

as more family members came,

they told a story.

As friends of their son came,

they told a story.

And every time they talked,

they moved from shock

into reality.

And in reality, when our minds are clear,

we can hear then so much more.

The peace of what God's word

says to us about God's incredible love,

forgiveness and mercy.

Because God wants us to move

our perspective,

from loss

to thankfulness for what we had.

We see that with Job.

Job says that, in

chapter 1 of his book,

I worked in my counseling

with that husband and wife

to, to move them in that perspective

of thankfulness

for what God has given.

And I shared in the funeral

a story that comforted their heart.

And I want to give you this illustration

so that you can share it with someone else.

At that funeral,

I talked about another funeral that happened.

A pastor

with a child that was 8 years old

that died.

And that pastor looked at the parents

and said, "If God had come to you,

"before this child was born, and told you,

"you can have a child, a son

"and you're going to love him

"and he's going to be the light of your life.

"But you're only going to have him for

"eight years,

"would you have said 'No?'

"Or would you have wanted that child?"

And all of a sudden the parents realized that

eight years was a gift,

it was a blessing from God.

And then he turned to the older brother

of the 8-year-old that died

and said, "If God had come to you

"and said that you can have

"a younger brother but he's

"only going to be here eight years,

"you're going to play, you're going to have fun.

But then he's going to go home to Jesus

"and you'll see him soon one day,

"would you have said 'No' or would you

"have wanted that brother?"

And the brother knew that that was a gift,

those eight years

were a gift from God.

And he turned to the grandparents

and aunts and uncles and

everyone that was there and said the

same thing individually

to each one of them and they all

came to that perspective

that that eight years was a gift.

And then I looked at that husband and wife

in front of me and I said, "If God had come to you,

"and said,

"You can have a son.

"You're blessed with a gift of a son

"but you'll have him for,

"for 24 years.

"Lots of joy. Lots of blessings.

"Would you have said 'No.'?"

And they said,

"We wanted him.

"Thank God for that blessing."

Their perspective changed.

And I looked at his other two brothers

and said, "If God came to you and

asked you would you want this

brother but just for 24 years,

would you have wanted him?"

They said, "Yes.

"How gracious, how good, how blessed,

how giving our God is."

I looked at his fiance,

and said,

"Would you

"have said 'no' to God

"if you would know what true love is

"and have it for just a time with

"this incredible man?"

And she said, "Yes,

what a gift God has given."

God gives gifts.

But we're here

for a time.

But God gives the greatest gift,

the gift of Christ.

The gift of his forgiveness.

And for all

who believe in him,

for all who trust in him,

that sudden death

brings life.

Life in heaven.

A reunion is waiting for you.

Thank God,

change your perspective,

thank God

for the blessing of the time

that he gave,

and the blessing

of heaven

waiting for you.

Incredible Phrasal Verbs to Easily Talk about Clothing - Duration: 7:56.

Welcome. Welcome. Welcome.

Today I have a really cool lesson.

We are talking about phrasal verbs related to clothing.

Before we begin, I just want to make sure that

you really pay attention to these.

Phrasal verbs are both easy and difficult.

What makes them easy is that you just have a verb and a preposition.

And all you have to do is memorize them.

But the problem is that many times we forget which preposition goes with which verb.

And that is when we mess up the meaning.

And this can be actually very confusing.

One of the best ways to learn phrasal verbs is to learn them by category.

And a very important category is clothing

because we use these phrasal verbs very, very often in English.

Whether we are putting clothes on or taking clothes off,

we want to make sure that we are using these phrasal verbs correctly.

So let's get to it.

Let's learn some phrasal verbs about clothing.

Number one is PUT ON.

And "to put on" means to start wearing something.

Simple as that.

So for example, if I'm cold, I might want to put on a jacket.

Or if I'm going to a nice event I might want to put on a nice dress.

Or I might want to put on my nice boots.

Put on.

Number two is the opposite of put on and it is TAKE OFF.

And "take off" means to remove clothing.

I've heard many learners of English use this incorrectly.

Many say put off.

Please don't mix these up. They're very important.

We use them a lot. We talk about them in our routine.

You put something on.

But then when you get warm, you take it off.

Put on. Take off.

Put on. Take off.

There you go. Now you are masters at this.

Are you ready for the next one.

Number three...BREAK IN.

And this means to wear something new to make it a little bit more comfortable.

We can break in and new clothes or new shoes.

For example, many times when we buy new shoes

they're a little tight here and there, so we want to wear

them so they can kind of fit to our feet.

We are breaking them in.

Number four...TRY ON.

And "try on" means to put something on if you want

to see how it fits and how it looks.

For example, when we go shopping

many times we will try on some clothes to see how they look.

This will give us an idea whether they look good or maybe not so good.

Many times something looks amazing on the hanger.

And then you try it on and maybe it doesn't look so amazing.

We try them on. We try on the clothes.

Number five...THROW ON.

Now to "throw on" means to put something on very quickly.

You just put it on very quickly.

Like Superman.

Wait...

Is Superman very quick? Who's quick?

Spiderman?

The Flash?

Yes. You are putting on an outfit like the Flash.

So you have to be very, very quick about it.

You throw it on.

Sometimes, maybe if the alarm rings and you just

keep hitting snooze, and then you eventually wake up.

And you realize you're late.

You might have to throw on some clothes because you have to get to work on time.

Number six...BUTTON UP.

Now to "button up" means to fasten something with buttons.

So if you're wearing something that has buttons like a sweater.

No, sweaters don't. Like a cardigan.

Or like a button-up shirt, or anything that has buttons.

When you close those buttons you say you button up.

Number seven is DRESS UP.

This verb has two different meanings.

The first one is to put on clothes that are a little bit

more formal than the clothes you usually wear.

For example, we might want to dress up for somebody's wedding.

Or we dress up for a job interview.

Or maybe we'll dress up for some kind of formal event.

The other meaning of dress up is to put on clothes

that make you look like someone else.

And we do this for fun.

For example, many, many children dress up for Halloween.

We like to put on a costume, and we dress up.

Number eight is DRESS DOWN.

Now this is the opposite of dress up.

So if you dress down, you wear clothes that are less formal than the clothes you usually wear.

I hope now that you have a really good understanding of these phrasal verbs.

And I hope that you can use them correctly

when you put your clothes on in the morning.

Now here's how I want you to practice these verbs.

When you get ready in the morning, say what you

are doing using the correct phrasal verb.

Whether you're putting on a shirt, or trying on

some new jeans, or breaking in your new pair of shoes.

If you've enjoyed this lesson and feel like you've learned something new,

don't forget to share it with your friends and anyone who's trying to learn English.

Thank you for watching, and I'll see you next time.

Brother Waheed : one of the reasons that Muslims don't eat pork - English subtitles - Duration: 1:07.

imagine folks ! what do Muslim scholars teach Muslims concerning eating the pork ?

'' They teach Muslims that eating the pork takes away a husband's jealousy for his wife ! ''

so , you Muslim scholars want to make pork forbidden and you don't find any reason for forbidding it therefore , you just make up any random reasons to make it forbidden !

so , I followed up the reason for making eating the pork forbidden , and it's common among our beloved Muslim brothers ! but , it has a religious cultural concept in Islam

so , I went to Islamweb in the '' fatwa center '' and I found out that some Muslim guy asking '' What is the impact of eating the pork in taking away a man's jealousy ? '' meaning his jealousy for his wife ''

and that Muslim demand the legal evidences which prove that eating the pork takes away a man's jealousy for his wife ! '' and he is a smart Muslim '' !

so , the islamic fatwa responded to him by saying '' it was mentioned by Abu Hayyan Al-Andalusi in '' Al-bahr al-muhit fi tafsir al-Quran '' the reasons for making the pork forbidden

and one of them is that it takes away a man's jealousy for his wife and it removes a man's sense of honor so it makes it easy for people to procure the defilement of women and allow the adultery ''

Conversational Marketing: How Automation and Real Conversations Are The New Measure of Success - Duration: 4:27.

- Bots are everywhere, ah!

- Automation, AI, Bots.

It's so hot right now and everybody seems to be

talking about it but what are the repercussions of this.

And how does one win in a world infested by bots?

- Did you just referred to yourself as one? (laughs)

Americans are gonna think we all speak like Downton Abbey.

How does one wear this?

- You approved this script. (laughs)

- There's a big shift coming

and we want one to be ahead of the curve.

(both laugh)

Didn't quite work, did it? - No.

- There's a big shift come in

and we want you to be ahead of the curve.

(bell dings)

- We've recently just got back

from sunny San Diego, California where we attended

Digital Marketers Traffic and Conversion Summit.

Also we were speaking

at the Social Media Marketing World Conference.

A big trend that we took away from this conference is

is that everybody's going really hard

on AI, bots, and automation.

- But actually there's a much bigger message here

because in a world full of automation,

people are just getting sick to death

of being treated like another number.

Often times actually, they just wanna speak to a human.

- (laughs) But here's the thing, bots and automation,

it's good, right, it's actually good

because they allow our business to scale

and people don't actually want to talk to sales people.

That's the actually prove this, people prefer talking

to a bot where they can get all the answers

just automated right there at their fingertips.

(laughs)

- And that's all well and good.

But if people do want extra help,

then they also want the ability to speak to a human, too.

And this is where the bigger take-away is

and we want you to remember this phrase:

Conversations are the new leads.

- And this is what we call conversational marketing.

Here's the definition by Drift:

Conversational marketing is the process

of having real-time, one-to-one conversations in order to

capture, qualify, and connect with your best leads.

But what does that actually mean?

- Well that actually means our chat bots are there

for filtering and qualifying prospects

but not for closing the sale.

They are there to start conversations with the right people

not to replace and automate conversations altogether.

- Here's a graph done by Drift showing how the rise

of chat bots has been used more and more to filter out

the people to talk to leaving just the qualified ones left

thus enabling businesses to scale

the one-to-one interactions much more efficiently.

- Bret also said thus.

(both laugh)

- One should always say thus and whom and spiffing.

- In fact, Ryan Deiss co-founder of Digital Marketer

said that to him every single conversation

that he has is worth $100.

And in fact he's actually invested more money

into hiring people to man the charts

rather than ploughing away more and more money into ads.

So to sum this all up,

here is another phrase that we want you to remember:

Automations shouldn't be replacing human interactions,

automations should be starting human interactions with...

- [Both] The right people.

- Now if you want to know

how to build your very own chat bot,

you should check out the Atomic Show, Build Your Bot Month.

You can get Episode One for free which will show you

exactly how to set up your very own bot.

All you have to do is go to

andrewandpete.com/build-your-bot-month

with hyphens in between.

Or if you want, why not go to m.me/andrewandpete

all one word and you can have a chat with us.

We'll send you the link there, see if it's right for you.

And the link for that is also below, too.

- That's all for this video.

Hope you have found it interesting.

If you have, please leave a comment in the comments

to let us know if you are either using bots

or planning to start using bots.

- Also make sure you hit

that big shiny red subscribe button.

We are gonna smash it this year on YouTube

so every subscriber helps, every shout out helps,

every comment helps.

- I've been Andrew. - I've been Pete.

- See you next time. - See ya.

Cha-kow. (laughs)

Pow, pow, pow, pow. - Shoot those bots.

The Hardest Money I've Ever Earned - I Quit House Cleaning - Duration: 10:35.

The hardest money I ever earned.

I'm going to tell you about that today.

Hi there, I'm Angela Brown, and this is Ask a House Cleaner.

This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question,

and I get to help you find an answer.

Now, today's show is brought to us by MyCleaningConnection.com

And if you have a day where you absolutely hate your job, and you hate what you're doing,

you're going to want to head on over to MyCleaningConnection.com

And in the resource section, I have books and podcasts that will re-motivate you to

the reasons why you picked house cleaning as a business.

Okay, MyCleaningConnection.com

It's a resource and a hub for really cool cleaning stuff.

Okay, onto today's show, which comes from a house cleaner who wrote in the other day,

and she was having a really bad day.

And she wanted to quit and get out of the business because it just was not the business

she thought she signed up for.

Now, my suggestion to her was yes, get out of the business.

Hang up your towel, call it a day, call it quits, you're done.

Fire yourself, get out of the business.

And go to bed tonight and you will sleep like a baby.

And when you wake up in the morning, your head will be clear, you will be refreshed,

and then you can start a new house cleaning business.

Now, you know what you now know, and you can do things differently or you can do things

the same, but you have a choice.

Here's where it comes from.

It comes from years of experience of me firing myself.

Now, if you are in the business long enough, you're going to have days where they're just

crap days, and you hate your job and you hate the people that you work for and you might

even hate yourself.

And you say to yourself, "Why am I doing this to myself?

This is a stupid job for me.

I don't even know why I'm cleaning houses."

In the back of your mind, you do know.

You do know it's either because it's paying the bills for your family, it's an honest

way to make a living, it's a good way to make a living if you have limited education or

if you have an amazing education but you've decided this is a better way to earn a living

than the previous job that you had.

It might even be that you love seeing completion, where you see something really dirty and you

know with your magical powers you can turn it into something amazing.

I'm now going to tell you about the hardest money I ever earned.

There was one particular day I was just having a crap day and I decided,

"This is not for me!

I have no idea what I'm doing here.

Why am I in this business?"

And I fired myself.

I was so pleased.

I fired myself, I'm working all these hours, there's all these problems, I have employee

challenges, it's just a crap business.

I'm out.

And I'm going to go get me a 9:00 to 5:00 job.

So, I marched into an office where they do recruiting.

And somebody pays you and they send you out on a job, and then when you get there, you

learn the job or you use the skills that you have, and then at the end of the day or the

end of the week, they cut you a check and they just provide these jobs for you until

you find a good fit.

So I was like, "Okay, I will do that.

I will go find a job that's right for me."

So I went into the recruiter's office and we had this little meeting.

She sits down and she says, "What are your skills?"

I said, "Actually, I'm very talented.

I can do a lot of things.

I would like your highest paying job and I will match my skills to that highest paying

job that you have."

And she said, "Well, what do you know?"

I said, "I'm very strong, very multi-tasked, I can do all kind of handyman chores, I can

do physical lifting, I can do cleaning, I can do this, I can do that.

Whatever.

I'm really good on a variety of things, I've got good people skills, you name it.

I want your highest paying job."

She said, "Great.

How soon can you start?"

And I said, "Right now."

And she said, "I have a job for you first thing tomorrow morning."

And I said, "Great, what do I wear?"

And she said, "Comfortable clothes."

Okay, so comfortable clothes for me, it's a house cleaning uniform.

This is what I've been wearing every day for 25 years, this is comfortable for me.

I showed up the next day and I was grossly overdressed.

I get there and there's a room full of people, and we all look like we're homeless people

and she says, "Okay, the bus is about to leave."

I'm like, "What do you mean the bus is about to leave?"

"You're going to get on a bus and they're going to take you to the job."

I was like, "Okay, well I have my own car."

She's like, "No, no, no, your own car's not allowed.

You have to ride the bus with everyone else and go and come on the same bus, otherwise

you don't get paid at the end of the day."

And I was like, "Whoa, I just lost some of my independence."

But all right, so I get on the bus.

Turns out that we're heading to a thrift store.

When we get to the thrift store, the manager comes out and he says, "Okay, our job for

the day is I have three tractor-trailers that are full of big bundles of clothes."

And the clothes were about 200 pounds in each bundle, and they were wrapped together with

wire wrapping.

And so they were stacked, 16 in a stack, all the way across this tractor-trailer.

And so I was like, "Holy crap, what is this?"

These are all the clothes and all the donations that people had sent to this thrift store.

And now we were going to be pulling off these big bundles of clothes and we were going to

be cutting off the wire wrapping that bundled them together, and then we were going to be

sorting the clothes into piles, like shirts, pants, socks, shoes, whatever it was, the

bundles of stuff, we were going to be separating them and then determining whether this gets

chunked, whether it goes to the dry cleaners, what the different possibilities for these

items were.

And I looked at these three tractor truckloads of clothing, and then I looked over at the

team, and I was like, "Oh boy, we have our work cut out for us."

And I start trying to do the math in my mind.

If we're only here for eight hours today and we have those three tractor truckloads, how

many hours are we able to spend on each tractor-trailer load and we are going to have to work as hard

and as fast as we possibly can in order to get this job done.

So, I start looking around at the team that we have and I start trying to analyze in my

mind, who am I going to buddy up with that looks like they can help me get this job done.

And so, I started picking out, just in my head, picking out my favorite people, like

I got to go make friends with this perfect stranger now and

he has to help me on this job.

Anyway, I buckled down, I can do this, this is fine, I'm sure we're going to make a boatload

of money for this.

And I got to work.

And I've never worked harder, I've never worked faster in my life.

I was just sweating profusely.

And it's not all the clothes are at this level, okay?

They're all big bundles on the floor and so there's a lot of bending and reaching and

lifting and sorting and moving, and it's a lot of physical movement.

And by the end of the day, my back, my neck, my shoulders, everything just hurt.

All right?

So it was about two hours before the end of the day, and the manager pulls me off the

job, and he takes me down a hall into a little private sitting room, and he offers me a job.

He says, "Okay, listen.

I've seen you work, I don't know where you came from, I have no idea what your story

is, but I would like to hire you as a manager for my store."

And he said, "We can even cut out this temp agency that you came from so that I can pay

you more money and I don't have to pay them a commission."

And my first thought was, "Oh my goodness.

You're offering me a job and these are your ethics?

You're going to cut out the person that found me and brought me to your store.

Wait a second, let me think.

Yeah, that's not the kind of guy that I want to work for."

And I decided in that moment, this is not a good fit for me personally.

This is not a good job for me, but I will finish out the day because I promised that

I would, and I will give you 100% of my efforts.

Again, I went back to work and I worked and I worked and I worked, and almost blood, sweat,

and tears.

At the end of the day, we had three tractor-trailers completely emptied, completely sorted, and

I was literally managing this team of people, like, "Hey, I need this, I need that," and

we were having fun and we were friends at the end of the day.

Thank goodness we made it work, we did the job, we met the task, we met the requirements.

We get back on the bus, we're feeling' like a million bucks, and we go back to the station

where they write our checks.

And this is one of the days where they pay you at the end of the day.

So we get back to the little station and the lady has this little window, and you stand

in line and you go up to the window.

And we'd already filled out paperwork and 1099s or W-2s or whatever it was.

It was actually a W-2 because they took the taxes out.

So I get up to the counter and the lady takes my name, she looks at my paperwork, and then

she takes her own sweet time and she writes me a check and she hands me back the check.

And I look at the check, and I look at the lady, and I look back at the check, and I

look at the lady, and I busted up laughing.

She says, "Is there a problem?"

And I said, "Yeah, how much did we get paid for today?"

And she says, "You get paid minimum wage, and then we took the taxes out."

And I'm holding a check in my hand for $14.63.

I have never laughed so hard in my life because

I've never worked so hard for such little money.

And I looked at that check and I said, "You know what?

I'm not even going to cash this check.

I'm going to frame it and I'm going to remind myself on days where I feel like I'm going

to get out of the business and I'm going to fire myself, I'm going to remind myself that

there are people out there that are willing to work for a whole lot less money and do

much, much, much harder tasks."

Because on my worst days in the house cleaning business, I have never worked that hard.

And I went racing back to the house cleaning business.

I'm like, "Hey, wait a second.

This is where I belong.

I was wrong.

I got out of the business for 24 hours, I just checked, I'm back again.

I belong in the house cleaning business."

So if you have a day where everything goes to crap, that's okay.

You're human, it happens to all of us.

It happens to me.

It happens to me now.

There are days ... Just a couple weeks ago, I'm like, "Why am I doing this?"

It's a crazy business.

It is a crazy business.

We can deal with crazy people.

That's how life works.

And that's how we pay our bills.

So if you have a really bad day, you're not alone.

It's okay.

You're not alone.

Fire yourself for the day, get out of the business, wash your hands of it, and then

come back tomorrow with a better attitude and do things differently than you did the

first time.

Because every time you fire yourself and every time you bring yourself back, it will renew

your reasons why, and it will renew your enthusiasm for being your own boss, and for making your

own hours, and for balancing out the workload so that you're not doing the hardest work

of your life for the littlest amount of money.

All righty.

That's my two cents for today, and until we meet again,

leave the world a cleaner place than when you found it.

【初音ミク・鏡音レン】 on the rocks 【VOCALOIDカバー】Hatsune Miku ・ Kagamine Len cover - Duration: 3:11.

Suddenly unable to move at the street corner,

I look up at the stifling sky

I'm about to choke from all this school work.

As if this back alley in which I've lost my way is reflected fascinatingly,

this stimulating situation lies deep within everyday life.

At this place where our heated desires intersect,

our feverish gazes intertwine;

it's just like a cocktail of emotions.

Tonight, I throw away my uptight self

and then I'll relax a bit.

The world seen beyond the glass gets far more daring than usual...

What an irritating gesture, you say, "The night is still young..."

And after taking a nice slow stare,

I want to hold you close.

In this room where our heated desires intersect,

I want to forget time and indulge with you.

We mix together like a cocktail.

Throw away your fear and just love me.

Today I'm with you, as opposed to being alone;

from today, I want to stay with you.

Moved by the affection of this mood,

the heartbeat of this love accelerates

On this stimulating, hot night...

Len (Miku), you're wonderful.
