Why is touching somebody on the head in Thailand taboo?

Why can't you chew gum in Singapore?

And just why can't you order a white coffee in Italy in the afternoon?

Every country and region around the world has their own individual set of cultural rules

that help society run smoothly.

As a tourist, we can sometimes break those rules unknowingly and find ourselves embarrassed

or even in serious legal trouble.

So it is usually best to read up on the cultural norms, and if in doubt, look around and observe

how the locals behave, and do likewise.

Today we'll take a closer look at some of these dos and don'ts, in this episode of the

Infographics Show, Things You Should Never Do in Other Countries.

Smiling at people in Russia might get you into trouble.

In Russia, smiling is considered an intimate gesture, so to crack a smile without knowing

someone first would be considered overstepping personal boundaries.

Never ever present someone with an even number of flowers, as this is reserved for memorials

and will be taken as a gesture of impending doom.

So if you fall in love in Russia, and decide to make your first move with a bouquet of

flowers, make sure you're not smiling and the flowers are an odd number or else you

won't be receiving much love from Russia.

In India, you should definitely not shake somebody's hand, handle money, or handle

food at the market using your left hand, as this hand is the unclean one of the pair,

and the one used for wiping in the bathroom.

Also while in India, refrain from any signs of physical affection of the opposite sex

in public, as there are strict rules against kissing and touching in public, which is kinda

strange coming from the country who introduced the Kama Sutra to the world.

Also, don't be offended by the lack of lining up in public places, as the concept of standing

in line and waiting patiently is typically a Western construct.

Japan surely has the best sushi in the world, but if you leave a tip at your favorite restaurant

in Tokyo, the service staff may see it as degrading, almost like an implication that

you think they're poor.

And if you happen to be in a restaurant in China, leave a little food on the plate as

a compliment to the chef, otherwise he'll think he hasn't provided enough food for

you to eat.

Over in Italy, never order a cappuccino at a restaurant after 11am, as this is considered

a major break of etiquette.

Italians are obsessed with digestion, and consuming milk after a meal, according to

Italian logic, will mess up your digestion, so make sure you drink all the milk you want

at breakfast and not after.

Unless that is, you are in a super touristy area where milk after breakfast is acceptable.

In Singapore, it is illegal to feed birds in public.

How can feeding the pigeons be a bad thing?

Well, Singaporeans are proud of the cleanliness of their city, and if the birds are able to

survive in the city they are welcome, but constant feeding will cause numbers to skyrocket,

and with pigeons come pigeon poop, and that takes some cleaning to remove from buildings.

It is also illegal to throw litter on the street in Singapore and chewing gum has been

banned from entering the country since 2004, so if you are planning a trip, leave the Juicy

Fruit at home.

In most Southeast Asian countries, it is very rude to touch somebody on the head, as this

is the most sacred part of the body, according to Buddhist belief.

It follows that the feet are the dirtiest part, so never sit with your feet up and/or

pointing at somebody.

In Thailand, any conversation about the royal family is usually off limits, and you should

never touch a monk, especially if you happen to be a woman.

In south East Asia, it is very bad form to shout, be rude, or put any local in a situation

where they may lose face.

Keep in mind, in Thailand alone, there are 14 different types of smiles, and only a handful

of those smiles indicate the person is happy or comfortable with the current situation.

In Turkey, the Ok sign using the thumb and forefinger is seen as an obscene gesture,

and in Thailand, the reverse victory finger gesture, thought of as a rude gesture in the

UK, is considered fine, and used to express the number two.

Also in Thailand, the three finger Hunger Games hand signal was made illegal in public

after student protesters used the hand signal to voice their opposition to military rule.

In Germany, using a Nazi hand gesture is a crime, and those doing it will be punished

accordingly.

In Malaysia, you should point using only your thumbs, and refrain from pounding one fist

into the other open palm – both finger pointing and fist pounding are considered rude.

And in Italy, if you make the universal rock out sign with your pointer and pinky fingers

extended, it means that you think the person you're directing it at is unfaithful and

cheating on their partner.

So be careful while traveling around the world, as one gesture could very well land you in

hot water.

Book lovers may have some problems that other people cannot understand.

One of the problems they usually encounter are related to how many books they have read.

#1 - Too many books

This is the first problem that only book lovers understand.

When they are asked about how many books listed as favorite, you may mention dozens of book

instead of just one.

You cannot help it, and you will mention everything in quick pace, making the other person confused.

#2 - Books all over places

You have books lying everywhere.

Your bedroom is full of books.

Your shelves are full of books.

Your office or desk are full of books.

Your kitchen may be full of books as well.

Sometimes, you also leave your book in weird places as decorative objects because there

are so many books in your living space.

#3 - People think you are antisocial

Since you spend your time on a lot of book instead of people, many people think that

you don't like interacting to other human being.

However, books are just too addicting to them, and it is like drugs.

It is like inseparable part of their life.

#4 - Insomnia is a common side effect

While other people cannot sleep because of deprivation, book lovers cannot sleep because

of book addiction.

They just cannot sleep because they want to continue the story.

They don't like hanging story, and that is why they are trying to finish the book

as soon as possible even though it means sacrificing their sleeping time.

#5 - You enjoy buying books

You are female and your friends prefer going to the malls for buying bags, clothes, dresses,

jewelries, and many other fancy things.

However, you don't see them interesting.

You pick book as your primary treasure and your eyes are glistering looking at new books

in the display.

#6 - You buy the same books more than once

That really sounds selfish and a waste.

However, you really like books more than anything especially its cover.

You appreciate books with different cover even though the content is perfectly similar.

You really like putting them on your shelves, and they just look adorable with those colorful

covers.

#7 - You envy others

You cannot stop it.

you are so jealous when you see someone holding the same book you are about to read, but you

still do not have a chance to read it.

Your feeling changes especially if the guy in front of you is your friend.

Somehow you do not want to be rivaled because you love your book so much, but others start

reading them first.

#8 - Feeling terrible to what happened to the book

Several things can make your books damaged, and that will make you regret.

Even if it is only a spot of your plain water, it makes you feel devastated.

That can be worse though.

However, the level of depression is absolutely higher when you see your book has made a contact

with something different from your hand.

Yes, that's true.

You also feel terrible, worry, and anxious when you hand your book to other people.

Well, at least that's some of the problems only book lovers understand.

I STARTED READING A LOT OF DIFFERENT BIOGRAPHIES ON

DIFFERENT SPORTS ACTIVISTS.

AND I MEAN, I READ THE STORY ABOUT BOB GIBSON,

I READ THE BOOK.

IT WAS ABOUT NICKY CRUZ, THIS GUY THAT WAS A GANG

BANGER IN HARLEM, NEW YORK,

AND HOW HE BECAME THIS THING CALLED,

I WAS A JEW, A MESHUGANAH, I CALLED IT A BORN-AGAIN

I WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE.

I don't even care what philosophy you follow, what Guru you follow, what religion you belong

to, including Atheism.

Atheism to me is also a position.

It is also fanatical like any other religion is.

So you have to evaluate.

You should not say.

"I am just ignorant.

How can I evaluate?

What is the scale?"

The scale is — if that philosophy or Guru talks about enriching your life, enriching

the life, the material life, enriching the spiritual life, glorifying the body, and not

running away from reality.

these are some of the parameters that are useful for you to look at.

And if you just get to the bottom line.

The bottom line — you are the Spirit which has manifested itself in the Body.

So then if you understand, then you'll know the Spirit is much more powerful than your

atoms, than your particles.

Then it can help you to transcend everything.

Italian Vocabulary: Food - Duration: 8:24.

Hey it's Professor Dave, let's discuss everyone's favorite thing about Italy, the food.

If you're looking for some reasons to visit Italy, you really just need one, the food.

I may be a little biased, but I think it's the best food in the world, so let's learn

the names of common Italian foods now, since it just might inspire you to learn more Italian.

The first meal of the day is colazione.

In Italy, breakfast is a very light meal, they don't eat a lot like Americans do.

It's just some coffee, a little bread with butter or jam, maybe a biscuit or pastry.

Here's what you need to know for breakfast.

Italians don't eat eggs for breakfast, but you can sometimes find them in a touristy place.

How will you have them?

In the early afternoon we have pranzo.

This can sometimes be a very big meal, and most lunch foods can also be eaten for dinner,

or cena, which Italians have somewhat on the later side.

What will we have for lunch and dinner?

Pay attention to this one, and please never say brooshetta.

One more time with me, bruschetta.

But what kind?

Zuppa di pomodoro, perhaps.

For creamy soups, it's la crema di asparagi.

After the appetizers it's time for il primo piatto.

This is usually pasta of some kind, like gli spaghetti.

There are literally hundreds of pastas so we won't go through them all.

There are also pastas that are filled, or ripieni.

These are all words you probably already know from Italian restaurants.

Then it's time for il secondo piatto.

If you eat meat, or carne, that comes here.

How will these meats be served?

For steak, or la bistecca, we may want to order it to our liking.

If you're a fan of seafood, you may be interested in the following.

Perhaps you're more into vegetables, or verdure.

Even better than vegetables, there's fruit, or frutta.

Last but not least, who doesn't love a good Italian dessert?

These are called dolci.

And every region of Italy has its own specialty desserts.

This is quite the feast we've layed out for ourselves, wouldn't you say?

Republicans Suffer Embarrassing Defeat In Pennsylvania Special Election - Duration: 3:35.

The Republican Party and Donald Trump were dealt a huge blow Tuesday when it appeared

the Democrat Conor Lamb was going to be the winner of the special congressional election

that took place in Pennsylvania against his Republican challenger Rick Saccone.

Here's the thing about this particular election; Rick Saccone, the Republican candidate, was

favored to win.

This was a district that Donald Trump carried in the 2016 election by 20 points.

Before that, Mitt Romney carried it by 16 points and McCain carried it by double digits

in the election before that.

Not only that but in the last election that took place in this district for Congress the

Democrats didn't even bother running an opposition candidate because they knew they

couldn't win.

And now even though some of the votes are still coming in, there's only a few hundred

vote difference between Lamb and Saccone, it appears that Lamb is going to be the next

Congressman from this district carrying the Democratic banner.

So why is this a big deal for Republicans?

Well, first of all, Donald Trump, Mike Pence and Donald Trump Junior all showed up in this

district to campaign for Rick Saccone and he lost.

Republicans pumped $10 million into this particular race and they lost.

And the reason they were even having this special election is because the Republican

Tim Murphy who held the district had to resign from office in disgrace after it was revealed

that he tried to convince his mistress to have an abortion after campaigning his entire

life on being the antiabortion candidate.

So that's where we're at right now, and this spells doom for Republicans in this coming

midterm election in November.

If they can't hold onto a district that has been solidly Republican for well over

a decade, a district that Donald Trump carried by 20 points, they have no hope.

There's virtually no chance of Republicans maintaining control of the House of Representatives

at this point.

This last little special election was the test.

Yes, you could say Alabama Doug Jones versus Roy Moore was a test, but Roy Moore had so

many skeletons in his closet that it would've been shocking for him to beat anybody at that

point.

The fact that Lamb won shows that Republicans are incredibly vulnerable, even in Republican

controlled districts.

That's what the message was that was sent on Tuesday.

Now Fox News Wednesday morning decided to downplay it the only way they know how by

saying it was actually a victory for Donald Trump.

That Saccone would've lost by even larger numbers had Donald Trump not shown up in that

district.

They tried to play it off and say that Lamb was favored to win by like eight points or

six points or something like that, even though the race was always a statistical dead heat.

They're absolutely lying their butts off right now because they don't know how to

handle the fact that Republicans are in for a very rough 2018.

A recent discovery in a McCarran Airport bathroom is bringing to light the tragic ways domestic

violence affects pets.

According to NEWS3LV, a 3-month-old puppy was found abandoned in one of the Las Vegas

airport's bathrooms over the weekend.

A handwritten note was left behind with the pup, which contained the devastating reason

the tiny Chihuahua was abandoned.

"Hi!

I'm Chewy!

My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn't afford me to get on the flight,"

reads the heartbreaking confession.

"She didn't want to leave me with all her heart, but she has no other option.

My ex-boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head.

He probably needs a vet.

I love Chewy sooo much – please love and take care of him."

Chewy was found by a traveler shortly after his owner was forced to flee.

The small pup was safely transported to a local dog rescue called Connor & Millie's

Dog Rescue.

The shelter is keeping Chewy's rapidly growing fanbase updated on his journey through Facebook.

"There has been tremendous interest in little Chewy!!!

We are compiling all the interest forms and will be going through them all.

CMDR would like to say thank you for all the offers of a loving home," the rescue wrote

in a recent post.

"However, there is but 1 Chewy and he can go but to 1 home.

Please consider the hundreds if not thousands of 'Chewys' loaded with love that are

desperately seeking homes in shelters which are at max capacity, rescues are full!"

The number of applications to adopt Chewy, a local news superstar, are so numerous that

the shelter has put a hold on any more applications, but is continuing to encourage those interested

in Chewy to adopt another adorable shelter pet, who is just as needy as he is.

While the note the Chihuahua was left with mentions a possible injury, Chewy appears

to be healthy and happy.

Unfortunately, the circumstances that led to him being left in an airport bathroom are

not unique.

POPGOES Reprinted - Ostateczna wersja sequela POPGOESa anulowana [PL/ENG] - Duration: 9:23.

POPGOES 2 has been officially cancelled. It was the fifth attempt to create a sequel of POPGOES after "Silent Night", "Encore", "POPGOES 2 (2016)" and... well, the first version of POPGOES 2: The Dead Forest.

POPGOES fangame is extremely cursed. The first game alone had a lot of problems to be actually released, and the sequels...

Well, the team has officially given up on trying, so we probably won't get a real, official POPGOES 2 ever.

Given that curse, we may not get any unofficial sequel either. POPGOES Arcade 2 is the only "second game" in the series that was released, and that will be probably all.

As explained in the post that has announced the cancellation of the game, the hybrid project that was made soon before the cancellation is POPGOES Reprinted.

This project would include two different games. "POPGOES 1: The Blackrabbit", a remake of the original POPGOES, as well as POPGOES 2: The Dead Forest - a slimmed-down version of the original version of the second game.

The Blackrabbit was supposed to be a highly remade version of the original game, we don't have all the information yet, but for example, I can show a couple of already rendered renders, rooms from a new pizzeria,

The Diner and our Station were unfinished.

It's a significantly darker atmosphere than in the original POPGOES, the design is more individual in each room,

the chess-like floor appears rarely, the rooms are more creepy and everything, it looks very nice.

3D printers are also coloured, each in the colour of the room in which they are.

A new version of the phone was made, which was released in a playable demo. It had a refreshed design and it looks pretty nice.

The colour of one of the rooms was changed compared to the original game, which affected the colour of one of the printers.

The game was supposed to have much more voice acting, with each character having its own voice.

When it comes to jumpscare, there was a trick here, the more Strings, the nightguard was frightened,

the more screen was getting darker so that at the last moment it was so dark that jumpscare could come totally out of the dark and every animatronic could appear from each side.

[The jumpscare scream I've used is from POPGOES made for Popgoes the Weasel, not an official sound for The Blackrabbit]

Obviously, The Blackrabbit has been using the Optimized models of POPGOES animatronics, the same ones that would later appear in the pair as Heartless.

We also know that the minigames between the nights weren't supposed to be in the typical 2D as always, but in 3D, based on the PS1-like mechanics, or something like that.

There was a small demo in which you could test how it would look like.

We also know that "Nox Animatronics" were supposed to appear there, as the counterparts to Luxes.

The minigames were supposed to be more or less the same as in the original, but Noxes were supposed to stop us from changing into Luxes.

I think that's everything from The Blackrabbit that has been made public so far, if more details appear, it will probably be found on my twitter because I retweet everything about POPGOES what has been published.

When it comes to POPGOES 2, quite a lot has been shown at this moment, and the "POPGOES Memories" project is currently being run, which reveals and describes all 24 characters from Reprinted.

It's still hard to say what are those characters, but you could guess that we're going to have a normal set - so five animatronics,

Epitomes - five, Heartless - five, Blackrabbit, Strings, Gem/Grave Stone, Simon, probably Cameo Animatronics from POPGOES Arcade 2 - Lillie, Owen and Cody, Luxes,

and probably some animatronics that we don't know about yet, have not been made public.

The "Classics" and Epitomes were already released, Heartless are being made now.

In POPGOES, we knew the fact that Fritz had his office but nothing else, and as it turned out in POPGOES 2, it is much bigger than we could've expected.

Originally, it could've been just a tiny room, but now, we have the entire underground part - The Warehouse.

There were supposed to be 11 different cameras that we could use. The room from POPGOES Arcade 2 final cutscene is North Office, and we would be in the South Office, more or less in the middle of the map.

I mean, we would appear here in the original, first POPGOES 2, this part of the game in POPGOES Reprinted looked different.

The warehouse had two offices, a storage room, boiler room, rooms for printing parts and creating mechanisms, chargers for all the POPGOES animatronics,

as well as two corridors where one of them was shown on the Heartless Blake teaser.

In this story, after Simon killed Fritz and freed himself, he destroyed Strings, stole his parts, his two hands, two small nubs, and the so-called "wings" and also the Curiosity Module that he would use later.

He has also destroyed the main set of animatronics and took their Hearts, devices that worked as their personality and the connection with WeaselWare, needed to create the Epitome Animatronics, which he will be able to directly control and program.

When the Epitomes were shown, their complete models were not visible, because some parts of the body were always hidden.

For Popgoes it was the left hand, for Blake right... But after the game was cancelled, these parts were revealed - they belonged to Strings.

Popgoes and Blake got his hands, Sara and Saffron got his small nubs implanted in their spines, and Stone got his wings.

Simon has created these animatronics, the design is extremely similar to each other. The reason why he used parts of Strings was partly to destroy Fritz's legacy, and partly because he thought that Strings' parts were lucky.

In addition to Hearts, Heartless Animatronics also had Mind modules, that were responsible for their survival instincts, and when the Hearts were taken away - they became very dangerous.

Simon's goal is to evolve, his Evolution Module forces him to do so, and he will never be satisfied with his development.

The main purpose of the Epitomes is, as it was said in Memories and probably somewhere earlier in the comments which I don't quite remember - to kidnap people and get information from them about the world, torture them, etc.

Robot Simon took a lot from his original but in a different way. In fact, there is a mass of similarities between them.

POPGOES Arcade 2 already showed us how much Simon Fitzgerald was devoid of feelings and the only people he cared for was himself and his family.

He killed children for his own purposes, just as Simon robot planned to do with adult humans.

Both from the shadows, hiding places. Both from the pizzeria with animatronics.

In fact, they've both contributed to the severe damage of Fritz, the murders were one of the reasons for The Bite of '87, and Simon the robot printed Blackrabbit, who later killed Fritz.

In both cases, using an animatronic similar to Toy Bonnie.

They both unintentionally made innocent animatronics into a dangerous ones that could harm or even kill others.

And if Simon robot finished his goal and start his action with Epitomes, he would become an urban legend just like the original Simon.

They both pretended to be someone else to gain the trust of others. There are a lot of connections and it's possible that I haven't found them all, but I really like the idea. More can come when all the information about the game will be made public.

In each version of this P2, we would play as so-called "Frayed Strings", the destroyed version of Strings.

Without the Curiosity module, without a lot of parts, just a simple animatronic.

If I had to guess, then Strings is just obedient now, without any bigger thoughts, he doesn't think, he just works. He fulfils the instructions of a character who has already been suggested by the hints from the source code, who is probably Fritz?

Sounds like Fritz. Something with Fritz will be there for sure since one of the Blueprints is showing a mechanism implanted into his brain and it will soon be explained in a tweet.

So far, every day around 8 PM (UTC-0 time zone) and later, new things are being revealed on Kane's twitter, so I would recommend to follow him for any future news.

When the whole story is revealed, I'm going to do a final episode that will explain what has happened since the beginning to the end,

maybe a single one, maybe a couple of them, maybe one about the story and the other about mechanics, but for now, there will be at least one episode, so keep waiting.
