Youtube daily report w Mar 21 2018

Hello, I'm here today with author and attorney Mark Halligan from Fisher Broyles

and he's going to talk a little bit about his books today mark. How are you doing very good?

Thanks for being on the show. Thank you

Thanks to fighting me so uh you were approached about

Writing a book a while back on the defend trade secrets act can you tell everyone a little bit about?

What your book covers and why it's relevant?

well the defend trade secrets Act of

2016 is a watershed event in intellectual property law and it's the culmination of

You know years of work on my part to?

Emphasize the need for a federal civil cause of action in most cases the victims are corporations

And they should have access to the federal courts

In what cases would the defense trade secret Act apply?

Well in any case involving

the

Alleged misappropriation are the actual misappropriation or threatened misappropriation of trade secrets

You now have access to bring a private civil cause of action that is subject matter jurisdiction in the federal courts

nationwide

So now you've you've written a second book more recently the trade secret asset management

2018 book can you tell people a little bit about what that's about

well that that's the that's the next phase in in trade secrets law that is the

internal act of management by companies of their trade secret assets which involves identification

classification protection and valuation and

in order to

Be able to use the defend trade secrets Act and be able to allow

This intellectual property right to thrive and grow now with federal protection in the courts you have to have internal systems in place for

These trade secret ounces

So do clients sometimes contact you

Before employees leave and take things to proactively try to make sure their their stuffs in order well

Unfortunately companies wait until the horses out of the barn, and then they scramble to retain outside counsel

And then I scramble around to determine what the trade secrets are and what the evidence of misappropriation is and we've seen this play out

In major cases now

most recently the the way mol case out in California where

You're where everybody is running around trying to determine. What's that issue in the case?

So it's better to do that ahead of time with internal management said

Clients that are proactive and they get an assessment of what their assets are beforehand

Do they tend to spend less money when they become embroiled with litigation to figure on that yes?

Yes, absolutely if you have internal active trade secret management

You are able to identify within a matter of seconds literally

The trade secrets that are at issue and the evidence that the employee had access to those trade secrets or the former employee now you

Have some proprietary program. You develop the deals with that correct

I do uh the name of the program is the trade secret examiner?

And it was introduced commercially deployed

version I believe version four or version five last August and

Malucia nary new platform to assist companies in the identification

classification protection evaluation of trade secret assets

So if someone is watching this video

At night and their executive of a company, and they just lost their head of sales of marketing

What steps should they take immediately?

To help protect their company and their client base

Well if they have if they have been engaged in internal trade secret asset management

Then I would expect they have a trade secret incident response plan that could be activated immediately and a SWAT team

Which is essentially outside Council ready to go to the courthouse?

you know

And if they do not have those

procedures and mechanisms in place then they call me and I head out to the company with a yellow pad and a pen and

Start to interview witnesses to see if I can determine what the trade secrets are and what the oven and submissive

Corporation is so once you have reason to believe that some of your clients data. Was you know propria taken and misappropriated

What what do you do?

First to get ready for Court after after you've taken those notes. What do you prepare have to do to prepare for your TR?

Oh well again from a forensic standpoint

The first thing you need to do is cordon off the area where the defendant worked or had computers

And you get encase images of of the computer to preserve the evidence

you certainly don't want to have the IT department flailing around inside the computer because

You know that that will change the the the evidence

You know it was an interesting market of one of my colleagues alex Gessen had done some research and what he realized is that?

Companies that use tools such as ftk imager when you capture the forensic image of a harddrive device

It records a serial number for that device that is not

Detected when you do forensic analysis to see if devices were plugged in in actuality

There's two serial numbers on the harddrive and only one of the two serial numbers is the one reported and they're not always consistently

Detected so we we agree with you on that using n case to make the forensic image and case actually

At the time of imaging n case will capture the serial number that can be detected in the registry

So what we've discovered is that people who haven't used any case they later on do this analysis to see

Was the thumb drive plugged into the other computer, and they could actually have a false negative because they didn't

Appropriately image the media issue well

That's fascinating and that shows you how critical it is to do the forensics correctly at the very beginning of the case?

Could be case determinative so you've done the forensics in your going into court

What are you hoping to prove when you've done computer forensics? What are?

What type of things are you hoping to be able to express in the form of an affidavit or support for your motion?

well a trade secret misappropriation case involves the

Actual or threatened misappropriation of trade secrets so your what you're trying to do is protect these fragile assets

I mean a trade secret once lost is lost forever

So you are attempting to stop the bleeding plug the dike get an order that there is to be a preservation of evidence?

Also stop the continuing misappropriation activity or if it has not occurred yet through injunctive relief

set up son a wall can prevent the misappropriation of trade secrets and

To the extent possible prevent its dissemination other computers in the United States or to other parts of the world

Mark can you tell me any war stories about your use of computer forensics and what happened went into court well, I think

What I have seen in several occasions

And I represented a major company and in a case involving very serious acts of trade secret misappropriation

and alleged foreign economic

espionage

You know the federal courts want to protect the privacy rights of individuals

With like chronically stored information, so there's always this tension between

you know the plaintiff seeking to prove up its trade secret case or a

misappropriation of trade secrets with the defendants interest in protecting the privacy of

Files and things that are on the computer

So oftentimes the court requires search terms and you start off the case by looking

At whether or not these search terms pop up on the computers

and

In in a case when I was involved with when those search terms were plugged in we found

That a file destruction software program had been run oh there and and that the clock said and that the clock had been

Changed and with that kind of evidence before the judge we were then given access to the entire commuter no computer no more

Search terms and when we got access to the entire

Computer we found out other third parties that were involved and of course the case

expanded to a involve other defendants other

entities but it all happened with the finding on the initial search terms of indicia of a

Destructured software doing what well thanks a lot for being on the show today mark this was great stuff

And thank you people need to reach you that they can see the link to your website. Thank you much

Thank you very much. Take care

New Jurassic World Triceratops Roarivores Unboxing T-Rex Vs Fallen Kingdom Mattel Vs Hasbro WD Toys - Duration: 16:05.

New Jurassic World Triceratops Roarivores Unboxing T-Rex Vs Fallen Kingdom Mattel Vs Hasbro WD Toys

Triceratops from Mattel we're gonna go ahead and compare it to different

Triceratops toys from Hasbro Jurassic world and from Jurassic Park so let's

get started okay guys great to see you again super excited today today we are

going to open up another Jurassic world fallen Kingdom dinosaur toy this is one

of the roars and this is Triceratops and behind them in the Jurassic Park cage we

have our super colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex waiting for battle hmm

we will have to wait okay guys I'm gonna be scanning this into the app on this

episode too and I will take a picture so you guys could actually pause the screen

and scan it into your own app so you could have this guy in your app even

without owning it so that is a lot of fun anyways with these guys total

awesome movement on the end this guy sounds cool

and you control the movement just like the other ones I mean if you want to

just move them a little if you want to Bob his head back and forth if you want

to go up and down fast so that's one thing I love and you can

see how the head moves like all the way around it it's moving sideways and

everything just like a would in real life like it's on a ball-bearing or

something so that's real cool and then let's go ahead take a look at the back

here you can see it says push button for sound and head ramming action and then

here's three other ones you could buy which I will be reviewing all of those

this week and then there it's showing you could scan it into the app so let's

go ahead free this guy add them to the app and have some fun okay so just cut

the straps pull this guy right out of the package you can see part of his tail

is missing which is in the package I'm gonna go and get that okay guys another

cool thing Mattel even made these packages accessible you could pull stuff

out of here without destroying anything in the packaging so you could keep the

packaging and mint condition if it's something you're interested in there you

can see the exploding volcano and the background here is this guy's tail let's

go ahead pop it on and then

the only problem is that's a one time pop on the old guys so you're not

fitting this guy back into the package with his tail on so that's a little

disappointing but anyways here is the instruction book that comes in the

packet see their attitude app this is how to put is tail on and there is the

battery so it does use cell batteries okay well anyways let's get to the main

event let's go ahead check this guy out because he is awesome let's just so

Breck see there doesn't decide to eat him while we're not paying attention so

uh quick look at the guy he's awesome I'm in the detail is really cool well

we're gonna focus here on his head I mean they did such a great job I mean

look at the the eye painting is perfect I mean they color the mouth part the

horns are perfect there's no overrun here the detail on it is really cool the

head movement is very realistic you could see the plate on his head here too

I mean they just did an astounding job all around looking right there's a tiny

bit of white but you know for less expensive toy I mean that is to be

expected and then like I said that head here sort of on a ball bearing you can

see there it turns all the way around really nice and smoothly so when you

move this if you have this thing like leaning it'll actually move to like

different sides so that is very cool and realistic looking like I said you can

move it just a little or you can move it faster all the way up and down to attack

charge really cool movement wise on the leg

you actually have pretty good movement there the rear leg you have really great

movement I mean look at this 360-degree movement on a figure like this and it

locks into different positions right there and well okay that's the only

place - well it locks up so I guess that doesn't make too much sense but you can

see the leg how it moves around there I mean it's it's really cool how they do

the technology it's like almost like it's on a ball-bearing or something the

tail comes down to there ah here is where you have the action button if

you're looking at it from here I mean you don't even see that action button so

they did a great job hiding that so look wise playability wise it is all there

and then checking out the other side you can see here you've got some fading from

like the orange brownish to like a yellowish behind the legs here very

equal coloring on both sides same great movement on this leg in the back and a

lock into two different positions and same movement on this leg in the front

this leg in the front is really cool too oh that moves around and then on the

bottom is where you have all the electronics so here you have the speaker

here you've got the batteries here you've got where you're gonna scan it

into the app so I say let's go ahead and do that right now

I finally got the app working on my tablet so it's gonna look and sounds a

lot better than my phone

here's a close-up video of the scan tags so if the picture didn't work go ahead

and try this a little blurry but try that okay so here I'm just gonna go

ahead and scan them in okay there's our Triceratops one thing guys I have a

really hard time scanning this thing for my tablet what I have to do is take a

picture upload it to my computer and scan the picture so I'll put like I said

I'll put the picture for you guys on there so you could do it but here is the

Triceratops well you could make him angry by poking him so these are just

like Jurassic world the game oops I guess I've poked them too much okay so

I've got them back there okay let's get some info on this guy so now we got some

new info Triceratops is about 26 feet long and nine and a half feet tall

there's little evidence Triceratops live in herds the name

Triceratops means three-horned face okay so I believe that's about all we could

do but we could see our collection here here I went ahead and I put the

Allosaurus in there yesterday

and then they have a dyno of the week which is another oh okay the other one

was MetroCenter soros say not paying attention at all so this one was the

metric an thesaurus so I went ahead and added that one yesterday so anyways that

is awesome let's go ahead and continue checking this guy out

so we've seen the Jurassic world the Mattel Triceratops here is Jurassic Park

Triceratops this is actually the biggest one they

have this one is all rubber cool action feature if you push here he lifts his

head so this one is very realistic looking

this one is jpoa and this one might actually be a challenger for our big

t-rex in the back so I do have full reviews on that one if you wanted to see

that and all some battles and then I'll let's jump into some Jurassic world ones

from Hasbro as you can see scruples everywhere I mean I'm sorry but they

just won't achieve I don't think Jurassic world even made a

regular Triceratops unless I couldn't find it in my collection so this is stag

asaro tops it's a hybrid between the Stegosaurus and the Triceratops so this

one's action feature was bumped his head off looks like you know compare these

two it's like same with this one this one's pretty

much identical to that one just a different color so basically this guy's

gonna go okay now here is one that's a little bit better this was actually made

I believe by Kenner this is from on Jurassic Park action feature if you push

pull his on leg back here he lifts his head now this one did not have son this

one is JP 44 from me okay and then I have another little Jurassic Park

Triceratops here he doesn't have any action features and I have a coupe

hatching egg from Jurassic Park this is a triceratops you pop off the front of

the egg and this cute little baby Triceratops pops off with real glass eye

this guy is so let's go ahead and put it back in the egg okay and then we have

this one that's almost a mix this is from Jurassic world Hasbro this is

almost a mix between like

plush and the action one so he does walk he lowers his horns he charges he makes

a roaring noise so there he's trying to baby and here he is attacking so these

guys could have a battle and bam Johnny so could any of these guys stand up

against our massive t-rex let's see this niggas terror top she's charging and

there he goes right down the throat here comes the other one and same thing right

down the throat the poor baby here comes the mom to rescue him

oh no hate the mom - Wow guys a pig okay it's gonna come down to our new tracer

time oh the t-rex has him quick can somebody rescue him oh look it's our big

dress and world Triceratops he's attacking ah he's poking him a neck not

doing anything though Down Goes the t-rex wow he's falling down quick he's

gonna rescue his buddy they gotta get out of here okay guys

that was a lot of fun I will be making like more realistic battles and

everything it's just this week it's mainly gonna be unboxing and comparing

them to the Jurassic Park Jurassic world ones so you can see how much better job

Mattel did that was awesome I really want to thank you guys for all the

comments you guys have been awesome I could tell you guys love this Jurassic

world line as just me and I really appreciate you guys

R. Mark Halligan ESQ on Defend Trade Secret Act of 2016 - Duration: 9:39.

Mattel did that was awesome I really want to thank you guys for all the

comments you guys have been awesome I could tell you guys love this Jurassic

world line as just me and I really appreciate you guys

watching and commenting and subscribing you guys are totally awesome and I do

get over a thousand videos guys the majority are Jurassic world

My Secret Weapon For Making Aluminum Look Amazing! - Duration: 17:58.

hey guys lately I've been doing a lot of sanding and grinding on aluminum as you

can tell but this time around I came across a secret weapon that I'm gonna

bust out and this should make a world of difference so what I'm referring to is a

rubber sanding drum that goes on a bench grinder I've had this around the shop

for a few years but never really have the right sandpaper nor a reason to use

it I've got a few aluminum parts here that

I'm gonna try out with that sanding drum a lot of this stuff has casting marks on

it such as this triple clamp I've got a casting line and all the casting texture

see what I can do with that the linkage has casting line on as well I think

they'll look pretty cool if that was smoothed out and then I've got the

smooth arm this one is gonna be a ton of fun to stand out all right the drum just

slips onto the shaft like so so kind of how this works is the sandpaper belt the

slips onto here and you can see it's kind of a loose fit but as soon as the

wheel is spinning the rubber expands and holds that sandpaper into place I didn't

mention this in the previous sanding videos but it should be pretty obvious

you'll definitely want to use a good respirator and goggles whenever you're

sanding any type of metal especially aluminum all right let's get to work

one last thing before I get started with sanding I'm gonna try using this grease

thick on the belt and I'm hoping that helps with the cutting action and also

prevents the material from building up on the sandpaper

what the fuck is up so far the sanding drum is working amazing on these more

open areas but in the tighter spots can't really get in there so I'm gonna

swap out the drum for the coarse scotch-brite wheel so I was able to get

the rest of the casting line out with a scotch-brite wheel now I've got the drum

back on and I'm gonna finish her off all right

so I've got most of the linkage sanded down so far and it is looking super

smooth really impressed with how well that sanding drum is working but it's

easy to go over the top and remove too much material as you can see right here

I kind of made some gouges but I'm gonna clean that up with a cartridge roll and

then getting these tighter areas as well

we don't gotta be on the road maybe that's super super happy with the finish

I ended up with here on the outside looks incredible now for the inside I'm

gonna touch that up with a little wire wheel on a drill

man this piece turned out prime and I should be able to get the connecting arm

looking just as good that's what we'll be working on next

all I can say is holy crap looks like these parts just rolled off

of a CNC machine absolutely stunning now my hope is to get the swingarm

looking just as good that is going to be a

one thing to keep in mind if you're gonna be standing the sides of a

swinging arm they are anodized and sanding that

anodizing off could be really dangerous if you're not wearing a respirator so

the reason I'm standing down on the sides and the top is to remove the

anodizing and also just to get it to a clean

smooth finish again as you can see on this side I haven't touched it yet and

there's some scratches here and all that will come out with sanding so basically

what I'm gonna do here is knock down what I can with the sanding drum and

then attack the rest of the swingarm with the coarse scotch brite wheel

at this stage I've done everything I can do with the sanding drum and now with

the cartridge rolls I'm gonna knock down some of these other markings and then

finish it off with the scotch brite wheel

this thing is starting to take shape let's see what the coarse scotch brite

wheel can do now

all right here is what she's looking like right now scotch-brite wheel

definitely did some work on the bottom side here wasn't too picky about it but

got looking pretty good so now I've just got the inside right here and back here

as well so I'm gonna knock down these casting lines with a sandpaper roll

since I can't get into the inside of the swingarm with the buffing machine I've

got a scotch-brite wheel on a drill see what kind of damage I can do with this

I've got the swing I'm looking pretty good but it still got that rough finish

to it so far most of the work has been done

with a rough scotch-brite wheel and now I'm gonna put the finishing touches on

the swing arm with a finer grade scotch-brite wheel both of these wheels

are available over on my website by the way and they are absolutely necessary if

you're going to be doing any type of finishing work on aluminum I'll put the

links down in the description

so she is looking sweet after that last buff but as you can see the finish is

somewhat inconsistent and that's usually how it is buffing such a large part on a

machine I'm gonna finish it off by hand with the scotch brite pad and that

should give it a lot more consistent look the key here is gonna be the buff

in the same direction the whole time on this part I'll be buffing in the

length of the swingarm so I'll be moving in this direction here and that'll give

it a really consistent feel if I go across the grain like that it'll have

crosshatch marks and that won't turn out very good

well guys here is the finished product I am pretty stoked with the outcome but I

have way too much time into this thing though

so my favorite thing about this type of finish especially on a swing arm is when

it gets dirty stained scuffed up all only to do is grab the scotch brite pad

give a little buff and she'll be looking as good as ever with the swing arm

finished up let's take a little halftime break and pick the winner from the

giveaway a few videos back once again I'll be using a random comment picker so

this is gonna pick a complete random comment from a few videos back as soon

as I click start here it is gonna pick the random comment who will it be all

right we've got hunter green up and he says prime so hunter green up shoot me a

message here on YouTube and this prime MX hat will be yours for the rest of you

you could pick up your own prime of X hat at prime and XCOM and now for the

rest of the parts pretty much gonna be the same exact process starting with a

sanding drum and then moving on to the two different grades of scotch-brite

wheels

these top triple clamps are always a ton of fun to sand since they look super

cool all smoothed out so I'm done with the sanding drum I'm gonna move on to

the scotch brite wheel and that will take care of all these tighter areas

alright guys these parts are now finally done what a fun project this was I

learned a ton throughout the process of refinishing this stuff

well that is it for today if you guys enjoyed the video give it a big thumbs

up and don't forget to go grab yourself a scotch-brite wheel over on prime MX

comm if you're going to be doing any sort of metal refinishing these come in

super handy and as far as the sanding drum goes if you're gonna buy one of

those use the link down in the description alright guys I will see you

around take care

I mean come on, Johnny Depp, I mean the first one was cool,

but after that it was just to waste everybody's time, man.

But anyway, nuclear weapons have been around

for more than 70 years.

And despite numerous negotiations and treaties

to get rid of them, they're not going away anytime soon.

(upbeat music)

If you follow the news to hopped on Twitter recently,

you really can't escape the feeling that nuclear war

might be on the horizon.

In a New Year's Day speech, North Korean leader,

Kim Jong Un, boasted that and I quote,

The entire mainland of the US is within range

of our nuclear weapons and the nuclear button

is always on the desk of my office.

President Trump Tweeted a response that he too,

had a nuclear button at his desk, that much bigger.

Then less than two weeks later,

people in Hawaii received this emergency alert

on their cell phones.

(siren wailing)

It turned out to be a false alarm,

but worries about a nuclear armed North Korea are no joke.

In September 2017, the country successfully detonated

the largest nuclear bomb it had ever tested.

The international community's no fan

of North Korea having nukes.

They'd prefer they didn't have them at all.

In fact, North Korea's one of only nine countries

that has nuclear weapons.

So how did we get here?

Why do some countries have nuclear weapons,

while others don't?

Before we dive in, let's hear from Joe Hanson

over at It's Okay to Be Smart,

about why nukes are so dangerous.

- Nuclear weapons can unleash a level of destruction

that's pretty much unmatched.

Conventional bombs rely on chemistry to create explosions.

The ingredients inside a conventional bomb

transform one set of chemicals into another,

releasing energy along the way.

Nuclear weapons however, derive their destructive power

from altering the atoms themselves.

These nuclear reactions can take two forms.

With fission, one atom is split into two new atoms.

The two bombs the US dropped on Japan on World War II,

were fission bombs.

They killed more than 200,000 people.

Fusion on the other hand, combines two atoms into one.

These hydrogen, or thermonuclear bombs,

have the potential to be a thousand times more powerful

than fission bombs.

In 1961, Russia detonated a fusion bomb

that was 10 times more powerful

than all the conventional weapons used in World War II.

But with nukes, the massive explosion,

vaporizing heat blasts and immense shock wave,

are only part of the damage.

All that fusioning and fissioning

also releases huge amounts of radiation.

This mutates DNA, kills cells,

and if it doesn't poison you immediately,

may eventually lead to cancer.

The destructive power of atomic weapons

is so great, the clouds of ash and dust they throw

to the sky may even block enough sunlight

to create a so-called nuclear winter.

Contributing to the destruction of whole ecosystems.

You can see why these are looked at as cruel bombs.

- It may seem crazy that we created

these insanely destructive weapons at all.

But when they were first being developed,

it was a crazy time.

Let me set the scene for you.

Late 1938, just nine months

before the start of World War II,

scientists in Nazi Germany accidentally

discovered nuclear fission.

Physicists had known for about 40 years that an immense

amount of energy was locked inside the atom.

But here, finally, was a way to unlock it.

As news of the discovery spread and World War II began,

every major industrial nation raced

to build their own atomic bombs.

The US got there first.

In 1945, on a summer night in the desert of New Mexico,

they tested the world's first atomic bomb.

It took some of the brightest scientists of the day

and over 22 billion dollars in today's money

to make it happen.

Because these bombs cost so much to develop

and require such advanced technology,

only the richest and most powerful countries

were able to make them.

By the mid 1960s that was a small club.

Only the US, the Soviet Union, Great Britain,

France, and China had nuclear weapons.

But then, the Cuban Missile crisis happened.

In 1962 it looked like nuclear war might just happen.

It was discovered that the Soviets had nuclear weapons

in Cuba that were pointed directly at the US.

War never happened, but the 12 day crisis

that freaked out the world

eventually led to the landmark

Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons in 1968.

The core of the treaty states that had nuclear weapons

would take steps to get rid of them,

and countries without nuclear weapons won't try to get them.

In the decades that followed,

nearly every country ended up signing the treaty,

With few notable exceptions.

India, Pakistan and Israel.

North Korea did sign, but withdrew in 2003.

All four of these countries went on to develop

their own nuclear weapons.

Today it's estimated that there are approximately

15,000 nuclear weapons in existence.

Now that may sound like an insanely large number,

but it's actually down from a peak of 70,000

in the late 80s.

Russia and the US own about 93% of all nukes.

The remaining 7% is owned by just seven other countries,

China, France, the UK, India, Pakistan,

Israel, and North Korea.

Many countries without nuclear weapons don't want them.

They might be allies with countries that do have nukes,

or maybe they're not interested in spending

a bunch of money developing and maintaining them.

But for countries with nukes,

it doesn't mean that they're itching

to start a nuclear war any time soon.

The goal isn't to use them.

Instead, it's part of a larger strategy

to discourage other countries from attacking them.

It's called the Deterrence Theory.

And has been a heated topic of debate for decades.

To illustrate how it works,

let's look at the ultimate nuclear rivalry.

The US verses Russia.

Basically, a nuclear attack is so destructive

that Russia would never directly attack the US,

because the US could respond with an attack of their own.

But for this to prevent war,

Russia would also need nuclear weapons

so the US couldn't attack them.

Since neither country could attack the other,

both will be forced to use diplomacy

to solve any disagreements.

You know, they basically just have to talk it out.

In his 2008 State of the Union Address,

President Trump singled out deterrents as a key reason

why the US should keep its nuclear weapons.

- We must modernize and rebuild our nuclear arsenal

hopefully never having to use it,

but making it so strong and so powerful,

it will deter any acts of aggression.

- Supporters of the Deterrence Theory,

argue that it has kept the world safe.

In the nearly 70 years that countries have had

nuclear weapons, there's been no nuclear attacks.

However, more and more think that the theory

doesn't hold up in the modern world.

The risk of an accidental launch or a terrorist group

getting its hands on a nuke is way too high.

Think about it.

If a suicide bomber were able to get a nuclear weapon

would they really be deterred

by another country that had them?

If we're ever really going to be safe,

these critics thing we need to get rid

of all nuclear weapons.

Okay guys, so this is more than just another history lesson.

Right now, as you're watching this video,

the US is planning on spending over one trillion dollars,

trillion with a T.

Over the next 30 years to modernize their nukes

and stay ahead of the game.

What do you guys think about that?

As always, let us know in the comments below

10 Mistakes That Were So Expensive You Can't Forgive Them - Duration: 7:48.

10 Most Expensive Mistakes Ever Made

Humans are so full of errors that we often overlook some of them, we mean the MINOR ones.

You'd understand this better when we tell you about certain mistakes that could not

be forgiven, no matter how hard we tried!

Well, we aren't talking about criminal activities here, OBVIOUSLY!

The focus here is on money matters, after all money MATTERS!

So would you be able to forgive someone who spoilt a project you invested millions in?

If you think you can sit through a video replete with many such instances without cringing,

here you go!

Number 10.

The sale of Alaska Some of you might not know that Alaska once

belonged to Russia and it was only in 1867 that the property changed hands or should

we say changed countries!

Alexander II of Russia regarded Alaska only as an ice-covered land and the fast becoming

critical situation played an important reason for the sale of Alaska to US.

The deal was signed at $7.2 million which might have been an okay deal back then but

looking at the current scenario, it isn't so.

Within 50 years, US had earned back 100 times over due to the vast natural resources of

the area.

We clearly know who was benefiting!

Number 9.

Skyscraper that melts cars Nicknamed 'The Walkie-Talkie' because of its

distinctive shape, this 34-storey skyscraper is the sixth-tallest building in the City

of London and the 12th tallest in London.

Architect Rafael Viñoly designed the building a highly distinctive top-heavy form which

appears to burst upward and outward.

After spending over £200 million on its construction, it was awarded the 2015 Carbuncle Cup for

the worst new building in the UK in the previous 12 months!

Why?

The design of the building made it act like a giant mirror that reflected of a beam of

light up to six times brighter than direct sunlight shining onto the streets beneath

and damaging parked vehicles.

In fact people tried cooking eggs in a pan on the street because temperatures rose to

196 °F!

Number 8.

Antique guitar destroyed for a movie scene If you have seen The Hateful Eight by Quentin

Tarantino, then you know about the scene where Kurt Russell snatches a guitar from Jennifer

Jason Leigh and broke it.

Well, it was a mistake!

The guitar was a real 150-year-old rarity, rented from the Martin Guitar Museum which

was to be replaced with a cheaper version right before the breaking shot.

So what happened?

Well, Russell wasn't told this switch and he broke the original one in the flow.

The good thing is that Jennifer's reaction of shock was real but it cost them a priceless

guitar!

Number 7.

An expensive bridge that wobbled A very dramatic story is attached to the Millennium

Bridge in London.

It is a steel suspension bridge for pedestrians crossing the river Thames linking Bankside

with the City of London.

So far so good, then where is the drama?

Patience people, opened in June 2000 the bridge was closed on the same day and after 2 days

of limited access, it was closed for almost two years.

Sounds funny right?

Well, the bridge unexpected swaying motion when pedestrians crossed it in large numbers.

The condition worsened when the people synced their steps, hence it was named the "Wobbly

Bridge".

The bridged that cost £18.2 million originally, increased by another £5 million to carry

out reconstruction!

Number 6.

Wide wagons on narrow platforms This happened in 2014 when the SNCF railway

company decided to modernize the transport network.

What a good thought but it didn't came out so well because of uhmm, mistakes in measurements!

For the 2,000 new trains ordered for €15 billion, they were given measurements for

stations designed in the last 30 years, and many platforms were older and a little narrower.

You guessed it right, there was an urgent need to widen those platforms if they didn't

want the trains to go waste.

And this cost them an additional €50 million, just a small price!

Number 5.

Loss of Mars Climate Orbiter NASA developed the Mars Climate Orbiter to

study the climate on Mars.

A good step towards knowledge and discovery but nothing went as planned.

Contact with the ship was lost while it was in space but the most shocking thing is the

reason behind it!

One NASA crew used imperial units and another used metric.

For that reason, information failed to transfer between the Mars Climate Orbiter spacecraft

team at Lockheed Martin in Colorado and the mission navigation team in California.

As a result, the orbiter entered the atmosphere of Mars too low and collapsed.

Nobody expected human error to cost a whole orbiter!

Number 4.

Typo loses shares worth millions 2005 was a bad year for the Japanese company,

Mizuho Securities Co. and we wonder who they blame for it!

Well the company wanted to sell one share for ¥610,000 (about $5,000) on the Tokyo

Stock Exchange.

What could go wrong with this?

It seems a stockbroker hadn't had enough sleep and made a little mistake when entering

the data.

He put up for sale 610,000 shares for only ¥1 each.

We can see horror in your eyes.

Though the company protested against it, the order was processed, costing the company a

loss of 27 billion Yen or $225 million!

Who has a heart to bear it?

Number 3.

Vasa, the sunken ship Vasa, built by the king's order, was to

become the flagship of the 17th-century Swedish navy.

It would have been a symbol of glory, sadly it sank right after leaving the shipyard.

What an irony!

Well, the design of the ship was very unstable with its top being heavy but nobody dared

say this to the King who was getting impatient to see his ship.

The result as you already know, was a disaster!

Isn't this the ideal example of "better late than never"?

Number 2.

Hard drive worth millions thrown into trash Englishman James Howell collected 7,500 bitcoins

back in 2009 when they were easy enough to earn.

He could have easily turned into a millionaire years later when digital currency became popular

but that did not happen.

The man had kept the hard drive for years in a drawer but while having a clearout of

his old IT equipment, it was thrown in the bin!

You can well imagine what the man must have gone through after realizing what he had done.

James went to the landfill site in south Wales which was the size of a football field so

there wasn't a lot he could do.

Man, you have our sympathy!

Number 1.

10% Apple shares In a universe where things worked out a bit

differently, Ronald Wayne would be a billionaire.

Few people know that along with Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, Wayne was one of the partners

with 10 percent stake in the company.

But just 12 days after the birth of the company, he sold his shares for just $800!

We could call Ronald Wayne as the man who won the lottery but lost the ticket!

Aged 80, he lives on his Social Security checks and money made selling rare coins and stamps

over the Internet.

Well, he does not regret his decision but we look things in a different light!

Which of these mistakes would you have forgiven?

More Trump Admin Thievery – Scott Pruitt Takes $120,000 Trip To Italy - Duration: 3:53.

The travel expense scandals kind of taking place in the White House right now only seem

to be getting worse.

This week it was reported that EPA Director Scott Pruitt took a trip to Italy at the expense

of US taxpayers to the tune of $120,000 for one guy to go to Italy for God knows what

reason on the government's dime.

$30,000, according to reports, was for the security detail that had to follow Pruitt

around as if he's some kind of hugely important figure.

$30,000 to protect this jack ass.

But, $90,000 was spend on flights, hotels, and food.

$90,000 just for him, for his travel not including security detail.

This actually comes at a time when the federal government, the Republicans and the Trump

administration, want to slash the EPA's budget so badly that the agency cannot do its job,

but apparently those budget cuts are going to affect Scott Pruitt's travel budget in

the least.

This is an egregious abuse of power happening in the United States, and it's not just Pruitt,

it's all of them.

It's Kellyanne Conway, it's Steve Mnuchin, it's Ben Carson, it's Betsy DeVos.

They are all involved in these spending scandals, and it has to come to an end.

You know, whatever happened to Republicans being super pissed off, at least the Republican

voters in this country, about government spending?

You know, they railed endlessly when Obama would go play golf and talk about, "Oh, the

cost of that."

Yeah, well guess what?

Trump's played golf more than Obama did in eight years, in one year.

Now we have all of these spending scandals where our tax dollars are going towards these

people to just travel the globe on the government's dime, not doing any real work, certainly not

doing any real work when they're sitting in Washington, DC.

This is an all expenses paid luxury vacation for most of these people.

Let's be honest here, most of these people; Pruitt, Mnuchin, DeVos, Carson, they're already

rich.

They're already in the top 1% in the United States.

They don't need to be spending our money, money that could be going to teachers or police

officers or any kind of infrastructure improvements, but they're spending that instead on food

and flights and travel and vacations and all kinds of crazy stuff, like to sit on the roof

of Fort Knox to watch an eclipse.

These people are stealing from the American taxpayers, and every single one of them should

be immediately removed from office and thrown in prison, and at the very least, forced to

repay every single cent that they have taken from American taxpayers.

They should be barred from serving in the federal government because they are nothing

more than common thieves, just like Donald Trump himself.

It's no surprise that that is what he's packed his cabinet with.

People who've made tons of money throughout their lifetime, but that's still not enough

for them.

They could be millionaires and billionaires, but they still want to steal money from my

pocket, from your pocket, and from the pockets of every single American citizen, because

God forbid they have to pay their own way in life.

Melania Trump Again Shows She's A Massive Hypocrite On Cyber Bullying Issue - Duration: 3:11.

On Tuesday, First Lady Melania Trump held a round table with tech executives from around

the country to discuss the issue of cyberbullying, and during this she mentioned, because the

cameras were rolling, that a lot of people in this country are skeptical that she's going

to be able to tackle this issue, and they don't necessarily trust her with it, but she's

going to push on anyway.

Well you know what?

Good for you.

This is a very important issue.

Cyberbullying is a massive problem in the United States.

We've seen too many kids and young adults in this country commit suicide after begin

cyberbullied, so I applaud Melania Trump for taking on this noble cause.

And at the same time, I have to say that Melania Trump is probably the biggest hypocrite on

the planet for taking up this cause.

Melania Trump knows, she knows ... and that's why she made that little statement ... that

one of the biggest cyberbullies in the United States today is the man that she lays down

next to every night before she goes to bed, her husband, Donald Trump.

He gets on Twitter on a near-daily basis, making fun of the way people look, making

fun of the way they talk, making fun of their failures in life, joyously celebrating when

he strips them of their pension after they've spent more than two decades working for the

federal government.

That is all cyberbullying, and she has not done a damn thing about that.

And yeah, there's lot of other cyberbullies in this country, but not a single one of them

has as much exposure, reach, and influence as her husband does, and that's why he's the

worst.

Think about that.

We have the President of the United States, arguably the most powerful human being on

the planet, who engages in this kind of infantile behavior, making fun of people's appearances

in tweets.

That is something that none of us would accept from our children, and yet we're supposed

to accept it from a President of the United States while his wife is out there talking

about the dangers of cyberbullying?

No, I don't buy it.

I'm not going to buy it.

I don't believe it.

I don't believe that she's serious about this issue, because if she was, she would start

with Donald Trump, and if she can't make him change his ways, then she could leave him.

If she truly cared about cyberbullying, if she thought it was a big enough problem that

deserved her attention, she would not be with someone who regularly cyberbullies American

citizens, private citizens in many instances, but she is.

I don't take her seriously on this issue, and nobody else should either, because if

she wanted to solve the problem, she'd start with her husband.

7 Things EVERY Man Should Do in the Morning | The ULTIMATE Morning Routine to Be More Productive - Duration: 7:10.

#1 Do something positive to kick start your day.

I like to start off my day by IMMEDIATELY doing something that makes me happy.

This can be anything you like, from cuddling with your girlfriend in bed, to having sex

with your anime body pillow, to visualizing yourself achieving your goals, or even reading

a few jokes from a joke book.

This is a great way to ensure you start EVERY DAY feeling great.

#2 Skip coffee.

Now I know this is controversial because so many people SWEAR by coffee and drink it first

thing in the morning, every morning.

But by accustoming your body to wake up and be active naturally, without having to drink

coffee, over time you'll get used to functioning in the morning without it and you'll feel

like you have a lot more energy naturally.

If you're gonna drink coffee, I suggest waiting at least 2-3 hours until after you

wake up so your body doesn't get into the habit of needing coffee the second you wake

up.

I almost never drink coffee, but when I do, I only drink one cup a day, and I'll sip

on it over a period of 1-3 hours so I'm getting a consistent jolt of energy throughout

my work session and I avoid a huge crash.

#3 Keep your phone off.

For the first 30 minutes to an hour after waking up I've found it incredibly helpful

to keep my phone off or on airplane mode to make sure I'm not waking up to a storm of

text notifications, emails, instagrams, snapchats, and all that shit.

Waking up to all that is a really easy way to overwhelm your mind right when you wake

up and put you in a rushed and cluttered mindset before you even start your day.

It's also better to get your sun exposure and meditate before all the technological

chatter clouds your mind and puts you in a frantic mindset where you're wearing about

all the things you need to get done before you've properly prepared yourself for the

day.

This way, you can turn your phone on ONLY after you've properly prepared yourself

for the day ahead and are ready to make sure your day is BASED, just like mine.

#4 Wash your face.

Washing your face in the morning makes you feel a lot more refreshed and ready to take

on the day because your face is the first thing that most people see when they look

at you, and once it feels clean and refreshed it'll help boost your mood and confidence

throughout the day.

The face wash and skincare routine I've been using is from our partner Tiege Hanley.

I prefer it to the regular drug store face washes and creams because it's simple and

uncomplicated, and only adds an extra 2 minutes to my morning routine.

I have their level 3 kit so right after I brush my teeth, I wash my face with their

face wash, and depending on the day I'll also use the exfoliating face scrub to really

get the grime and dirt buildup out of my pores.

Then I go ahead and follow up with their anti-aging serum to maintain my godly glowing skin and

make sure it's firm, and after that I go ahead and use their eye cream which has caffeine

in it to make the skin under your eyes firmer and prevent lines, wrinkles, and aging.

It's also perfect for getting rid of puffy dark circles.

From there, I go ahead and finish off with an AM moisturizer that has an SPF of 20 to

prevent damage from harmful UV rays and make sure my skin is soft and smooth.

Trust me, having a dedicated skin routine that's consistent every morning is perfect

for your confidence because it just makes you feel refreshed and cleaner, and it helps

make sure your face looks and feels good, all the time.

This stuff is SUPER affordable and I'll be sure to have a link and discount code for

you guys if you want to check out Tiege Hanley below.

#5 Sun exposure

Within the first 20 minutes of waking up, it's important to get some sunlight, not

just because it's good to get some (emphasize this) Vitamin D [zoom in on Zeus's face

and have him wink] but also because it helps boost your mood throughout the day and helps

regulate your circadian rhythm which is basically your body's natural clock.

So by getting sunlight for a few minutes at the start of your day, you'll feel more

energetic in the morning and you'll also feel ready for sleep at night because your

circadian rhythm will be balanced.

This is especially good for people with insomnia and trouble sleeping.

If you have a balcony, a front porch, back porch, or even if you wanna just go for a

quick walk, getting sun exposure has been one of the newer things I've started doing

and it's a huge help for me and it's made me feel a lot more mellowed out and positive

early in the day.

Or if you live somewhere where you absolutely cannot get sun, like it's really dark all

the time or you're a vampire or something, you can pick up a Vitamin D supplement.

Make sure you get D3, not D2, and you should start with about 2000 I.U. and then go from

there depending on how you like it.

Another good thing about washing your face before getting some sun exposure is that you'll

already have a moisturizer in that has an SPF so you'll be protected from the sun.

#6 Drink a smoothie.

Every morning, no matter what, I always make time to make a smoothie for myself to ensure

I get my electrolytes and vitamins in.

It's also a really good way to make sure you're getting your servings of fruit in

and are getting a head start on all the nutrients you need for the day.

I like to make mine with mixed berries, like raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries,

and a whole banana.

I also add a slice of ginger in there to level out the acidity of the berries and I'll

occasionally include protein as well.

The protein brand I like the best is called Vega but you can use whatever you like.

I like having a smoothie every morning because it serves as a good dietary base to make sure

I get some nutrients in me so even if my diet isn't as good as it usually is during the

day, I still started off with a healthy base.

#7 Journal for 5 minutes.

If you don't like meditation, journaling for just 5-10 minutes a day can make a HUGE

difference for you as well.

Getting all your thoughts out of your head and on paper is a really good way to feel

less overwhelmed throughout the day and get rid of some of that excess mental chatter

that can distract you and be a source of anxiety throughout the day.

It's a perfect way to empty your mind, and not to sound like Confucius or some shit but

on days when you're feeling really stressed, journaling can really help you feel like your

emptying that stress out onto the paper and help your mental state A LOT more.

Try it out for a few days and see if it works for you.

Some people prefer this over meditation, some people prefer to do both or alternate.

Just experiment and find what works best for you.

#8 Meditate.

20 minutes a day as soon as you wake up is ideal but even only 10 minutes can make all

the difference for you, in terms of mood, mental clarity, and your ability to take on

all your tasks for the day.

I like to use the app Headspace to help guide my meditation in the morning but I've heard

good things about the app Calm as well.

It's just personal preference, try 'em both out and see which one works for you.

Or if you don't want to do all that, just sit there and do it without a guide.

Do your best to clear your mind and just relax, don't think about other stuff.

I meditate EVERY DAY and if you guys would like me to do a video with meditation tips

then leave a comment below and let me know.

I like it a lot.

[pause]

Lastly, I also like to play a brain training game on my phone, something like Peak or Lumosity,

and I recommend doing this on the way to work, or to school, to jumpstart your brain, but

instead of doing it in a cluttered way, you're doing it in an organized way and boosting

some of your skills in the process.

I don't play to get high scores, I just do it to activate my brain and get in the zone,

and it's a really great way to do that.

If you guys want more of my morning habits and routines be sure to comment below and

don't forget to check out Tiege Hanley which I'll have linked in the description to make

sure your face is always ready to take on the day.
