Transitioning from Working Mom to Stay at Home Mom | 5 Questions to ask Yourself - Duration: 12:41.

You may or may not know that I recently quit my church ministry job at the beginning of

January of this year. It is 2018 and I have transitioned into becoming a

stay-at-home mom. Here are some things that you don't know about what led me to

that decision. Coming up. Hi! Shawn here. This is one of my more serious videos. I

hope that if some of you are struggling to leave your full-time day job and

transition into being a stay-at-home mom then I hope this video will help you in

making that decision. If you're sitting on the fence and wondering what to do.

I thought I would share with you the process that I went through of deciding

what was best for my family in making that transition. I don't even like the

title of my own video because it insinuates that stay-at-home moms don't

work which we all know, if you're a stay at home mom, is a joke.

We work. We just don't get paid a huge salary or a salary at all. We get paid in

other rewards. We get paid in smiles and seeing our child's first moments and

poopy diapers. We get paid in poopy diapers if I'm real and serious about it.

I wrote down some words of the feelings that I was feeling when I

was going through the process of deciding whether or not to leave my full-time job,

which I loved. It was an emotional time. It was stressful. It was confusing. I had

anxiety. It was a difficult decision to make because I am a person who loves to

be working hence why I'm still doing YouTube videos. For those of you who

don't know, I was working as a children and youth- director of children and youth- so

basically a children and youth minister to a local church for about a year

and a half. I have been in children's ministry for 13 years now and it's

something I absolutely love and I absolutely have a passion for. But after

my maternity leave, when I came back, I was really struggling- not just with the

baby but with some relationships that I had with my leadership. So here are the

concerns that you may have and that I had. I'm going to walk you through the

process- my thought process- from transitioning that I hope will help you

if you were sitting on the fence about whether or not to stay at home. Alright

so the first thing to ask yourself is: why do you want to stay home? You need

to figure out what you want personally. For me, I had to figure out what I

want because my heart was pulled in two different directions. I love doing

children's ministry and working with the youth at my church but I also felt like

I needed to stay with my baby because she wasn't taking a bottle. I was

trying to bring her to work with me and my church was trying to be on board

with that but there were some things that were not

working. They thought they were being supportive- and they were the extent that

they could have been supportive. I know I'm being kind of unclear here but some

things were working and some things not working. I was struggling with bringing

her to work with me and I knew that that was not a long-term solution even if my

church had been on board with bringing her, you know, forever. It was not a

long-term solution for me because I wasn't as focused as I wanted to be on

my job because you guys know how it is having a baby. You've got to change diapers and

you've got to feed them. While that was working short-term, it wasn't a

long-term solution. I had to come to terms with, grips you know with, that.

Do I want to stick her into a daycare situation knowing that she's not taking

a bottle and just wait? You know, work an eight-hour day and then, you know, knowing

that she wasn't going to eat? For me that was a hard choice to make but I

knew that that wasn't for me. Alright so if you want to hear more about my story

about how my baby won't and take a bottle, I have a video on that and I'll post

that in the YouTube card above. That's the first thing you need to get straight

is how do you feel about transitioning from working mom...

I hate that term "working" to staying home? Second: how does your spouse feel about it?

How does your spouse feel about you leaving your 9 to 5 job to stay home? so this

was also difficult for me. When I first started thinking about this I

brought it up to my husband and he was against it because- with you know

with reasonable concern. How are we going to go from a two salary income

household where I brought in half the salary to just his income? Would we be

able to survive on that? Also he knows that I love, that I love, to work

and that I love to be active in the church. I love being in ministry.

So he had concerns about that. and so it took a couple months for him to get on

on board. But once he was on board that made all the difference for me in

assuring me that I had the support of my husband. So having the support of your

partner is of utmost importance when you are making this transition. if you

are a husband and wife team. Alright so then concern number three is: is

God leading you in this direction? I felt that God was kind of nudging me in this

direction. I mean everything was pointing that way. My baby won't take a bottle. I

returned to work struggling. People, even though they were trying to be

understanding I felt that people weren't as understanding as they wanted to be,

in the leadership- in the leadership of the church. And there were

just little things that were happening. Let me get her. There were just little

things that God was telling me. I dove into scripture more. I was praying

constantly about what God wanted me to do. It's important to make sure that

when you make such a big life decision that God is a part of that because you

don't want to just- I wanted Gpd to be okay- because I know that God had called

me to the church that I was working for. I'donly been there a year and a half and my

goal- when I go to a church it's always five years- I always have a five

year goal that I want to stay at a church. I wanted to make sure that

God was telling me "it's okay to end your time at this church even if the church

isn't going to understand." "it's okay because I have other plans for you." and I

really felt like especially the last month before I quit my job that God was

showing me new opportunities through this YouTube channel. I was having

conversations with some of you about things that were going on your

life and the encouragement that you were receiving from this channel.

so there were signs like this. I am one of those Christians that

believes in signs. I tend to have to be hit over the head with obvious signs

too. So make sure God is on board with your decision I guess is what I am

saying and spend lots of time in prayer and scripture to discern that

possibility. And take time so you don't have to make a quick decision. Take your

time and figure out what God wants for you.

Fourth concern was money- of course money. Like I've said, I brought in about

half our salary. Thankfully my insurance, our family insurance was, is all my

husband's, is in his salary package. But I brought in half the income and it was

good income. The most income that I have seen in my career and had

retirement benefits which I don't think that I will ever see that again.

Am I staying at this church just for the

benefits or or can we survive off of just my husband's income? Now we

have a mountain of debt and that's hard if I'm me to say to everybody you know

you don't want to admit when you have debt. But I believe in being transparent

with this. We have a lot of debt, not just student loan debt, but some debt from

when our first son was born. We didn't manage our money as well as we should

have. So me having an income then, my income was basically going towards

paying our debt. Some some things happened that

God said "hey you know you may not see exactly how you're going to get by without

two salaries but I've got you. I've got you in this." I felt like God was saying "hey

you know you don't know what all you need but I know what you need." If that

makes any sense. so knowing what you are spending and where you're spending money

at will help you get your finances in order when you transition to becoming a

stay-at-home parent. Then the last concern that you should have is for

future working options. What are your future work plans? you know and for me

when thinking about this I thought you know if I become a stay home mom is is

actually harder for me to find a job later down the road because I'll have

taken time off and that is always a concern. But I felt like

through my youtube channel, which is becoming a growing ministry for me, I

don't you know that I'm not seeing what God has completely in plan for me yet.

That right now God's plan for me is not to work in a church it is to stay home

with baby girl and to grow this prayer lights community into something that I

can't see right now but I know God has big plans for. I have faith that God has

big plans for. God has shown me some stuff through talking with other people

that this PrayerLights community is going to be something big. That's

exciting. I don't know exactly what it looks like yet but I know God's

hand is in it. So think about what your future work plans are. So being a stay-at-home

mom you don't have to be a stay-at-home mom forever you know. It can just be a

short time thing and God may reveal something different for your life

or something bigger or better to come along.

So don't let -if you have like a secure job- don't let that stop you from,

if your heart is really set on being a stay-at-home mom- don't let your

future plans prevent you from enjoying the present with your child. In the

end ,you have to decide what is best for your family when you're transitioning

from being in a nine-to-five

job to staying at home with your child. You have to decide what is best

for your family. You know you can listen to other family members and your friends

talk but in the end listen to your partner and listen to what your

heart says and listen to what God is revealing to you. Use all of that. Use

your motherly instincts and everything will turn out fine. I am loving staying

home with baby girl here but she IS the last baby we are going to have. Oh that

came out weird. I don't know why. I love you baby girl

but you're it! I think she's tired and ready for a nap so we are going to say

When Hope Can Destroy You - Duration: 3:20.

Hi my love! Are you all right? We're going to talk about hope today. Hope

is the last to die, the hopeful die before. How horrible.

This sentence is horrible, but it will have some sense here in what we are going

to talk about. Hope is the most beautiful thing there is. Hope is something wonderful, it

moves us, it sustains us, it keeps us many times. What you need to understand

is when hope keeps you in a bad place, harmful as an excuse not to leave

the place. When it happens? When your

partner or partner leaves, and you stay in the trio of hope that

you can change, that you can return, than you can ...

People, power can, in some cases, even can. Just waiting, this

will destroy you and you need to understand. Can the other come back? You can. And

you waiting will change that? No. Understand this.

So go live your life. Why the other may not come back? You can. And will

you wait for his return?

That's what I came to tell you today. What I'm saying to you today is not

easy. What I'm saying to you today sucks, sucks, you know? It hurts like hell. Because

as long as you delude yourself and stay there, "no, he can come back, he can

come back," you are throwing energy into it and your life does not walk, it stands still,

It's coming along! TG Headquarters March update - Duration: 6:08.

What's up guys and gals, welcome back to Tidal Gardens.

It has occurred to me that there are more updates on my building project on other people's

channels than on my own so I feel a little guilty not having my own done.

So before I get into this, a quick shoutout to DC Reefer, CJ, Rico, and Matt from Jayoe

Nation for coming over and introducing my little corner of the reef world to your audiences.

I really appreciate it.

Right now what is going on is the plumbing inside the walls and electric.

Once they are all done, we can insulate the walls and put up the wall panels.

Here you can see a rough in for the bathroom downstairs.

The bathrooms so far were probably the most challenging part of this build.

It is because we needed to install a separate septic system for this building.

This entire area does not have a central city sewer system so every property is on septic,

BUT… they are all grandfathered in.

Because the ground is very clay-like new septic systems don't ever get approved, thus requiring

much more expensive surface discharge systems designed by the EPA.

We lucked out that we found a small area on the property that was suitable for a septic

system and got all that approved.

I get asked all the time what my plans for the tanks are and right now it's still up

in the air.

If I've learned any lesson from the greenhouse, it's that work areas and walkways are really

really important.

I am going for a minimum of 4' between tanks.

Minimum of 6' in the main aisles.

There's going to be plenty of space for the tanks in a building of this size so I'm

not going to even worry about it until much later.

Again, I think people design spaces too much with tanks in mind.

They just want to cram as many tanks as possible into a space and not give consideration to

actually working on those tanks.

Obviously to each their own, but learning what I have from the greenhouse setup, I longed

more for work space and larger aisles than I did for tank space.

One of the architectural features of this building is that it has three large cutouts

in the second floor.

I love them because it makes the space that much more airy and less claustrophobic overall.

I don't know if anyone has ever done this, but I think it would be cool to have a giant

mangrove growing that extends to the second floor.

It's probably impossible, but I thought it would be cool.

Up top here is going to be my studio.

Here is a quick look at the upstairs.

Again you can see those second floor cutouts.

It's hard to get a feel for the size, but this second floor is roughly 4000 sq ft.

There won't be any tanks up here but in addition to the studio there is going to be

a bathroom and laundry.

We decided to put the laundry upstairs to save some floor space downstairs for tanks.

I don't expect to use the laundry that much here, just to wash towels every couple of

days.

On the other side of this bathroom is going to be a kitchen so when it is time for a lunch

break there is a break room right here for everyone.

The rest of this second floor is going to be open concept.

I can see down the line some space for desks and maybe a couple cubicles for interns.

This stud wall you see here is where the kitchen island is going to go.

It looks small, but it's going to be 10 feet long and should comfortably seat 4 to

My design philosophy with this building is to have everything be as open and flexible

as possible.

The greenhouse next door has undergone major changes every year since it was built and

it's not possible to predict everything you might need down the line.

A perfect example is back in 2002 when we were building it, never once did I think,

"you know what would be great in this greenhouse?

A recording studio to do live shows on youtube."

But… here we are.

So anyway, there is a reason why there are plenty of unallocated spaces here that we

can grow into.

Episode 167: How to Trade Moving Averages Crossover - Trading Strategy - Duration: 6:22.

welcome to episode 167 after 10000 trade show where we are mastering trading and

creating excellence through the deliberate practice and analysis of

10,000 traits in this episode we'll take a look at moving average crossover

moving averages are a good tool to help us identify the trend and also it shows

us how to enter a trade in the trending market so let's go on to the charts and

take a look at what does the crossover look like and when do we enter a trade

once we see that crossover

we're looking at how to trade using moving averages this is dollar cad one

our chart where we use moving averages there are two different ways to enter a

trade one is by looking at for a crossover moving average crossover like

we have here so we would normally have two moving averages a one would be a

slower moving average which is our blue one here which is the 50 moving average

and then we have the 13 moving average which is the faster moving average when

we look for a crossover we're looking for the faster moving average to

actually cross the slower moving moving average so in this case we have the 13

moving average that crosses the 50 moving average to the downside when the

faster moving average crosses the slower moving average to the downside that

means the price is likely to move lower now so one thing to remember about

moving averages is that this is a lagging indicator so we would normally

see price action move first and then the moving averages will catch up so just

keep that in mind but moving averages could be a good tool if you want a

confirmation that price is actually going to move in the direction that

you're thinking of moving so from a reprise section perspective we see that

we have a double top here and then we have a lower high which means that price

is likely to move lower so once we get a moving average crossover that is just

added confirmation that you are thinking in the right direction so if you are not

comfortable just with the price action this can be a tool that you can use but

do keep in mind that this is lagging too so price action will show you the entry

first and then we will see the entry in the moving average crossover so once we

see that the moving averages have crossover to the downside in this case

we're looking for price to drop so on the close of this candle here that's a

good place to enter the trade short our stop would go above the high here so we

want to make sure we give the price enough room to breathe just in case

price goes and test this level once again so we enter the trade short and we

stay with the trade till the price comes back into this moving average so there

are two ways to exit the trade one would be you look for price to cross over to

the other side of the moving average so as we can see from price section

perspective as well price is not able to break the low here and starts to pull

back and our price goes to the other side of the moving average so this is

one way to exit the trade or you can look for the crossover in the opposite

direction so those both of those are good ways to exit the trade when you're

using moving averages so in this case we can just exit the trade once price

closes on the other side of this moving average which generally means that price

is likely to pull up higher or it's going to go sideways so a good time to

exit the trade so just to recap here in this case we are using moving averages

crossover for confirmation of our trade so from price action perspective we

already see that price is making lower highs here we have a double top and then

a lower height surprises moving lower so if you were looking for an entry you can

wait for prices for moving averages to crossover and once we see that the price

has moved lower and our moving averages have crossed over we can enter our trade

short when they cross to the downside we're looking for price to move lower

our entry would be the close of this candle here and our stop would go above

the high and we wait for the price to close on the other side of this faster

moving moving average here once price crosses over we can exit the trade from

entry to exit here we get 73 pips in the trade so our profit is 73 pips or 730

dollars if trading one standard lot if you'd like to learn more profitable
