" E-X-P-L-O-S-I-O-N TUTORIAL " TUTO MAGIE - CARD TRICK REVEALED - CARD TRICK EXPLAINED - MAGIC TRICK - Duration: 6:36.

Hey and Ellis here good to see you I'm back this is a production called

explosion

Hey here is the explanation for the production called explosion I use the

Kings because they have a lot of color and body to them and since you're

setting it up I could all relate then you got a King of Diamonds face down

I've got the king of clubs face up to the matter clubs of spades then the King

of Hearts face down then the King of Spades face up like the back now

you're in a position to either ribbon spread in your hands or on the table or

do a fan you're not really doing it to prove that everything's face down I just

like doing gestures like that it creates an atmosphere of fairness it's the best

way I can explain all right so I rip it spread my hands like that let's see

who's in the mood to do something somewhere back up now you're gonna get a

double lift on these two cards you can't spread them in any way and get a double

lift because you'll see the face-up one I'm using a pinkie count I'll give you

another option on that I do this coaxing motion just as a theatrical thing it's

up to you but you're gonna get a pink account if you do it one two cards will

be pinkie counted like this the other option that I would suggest would be a

thumb pick up but not the crab claw that's horrible don't do that if you're

gonna do the subtle thumb pick up make sure that your thumb is long this edge

of the cards and it's lifting this way as opposed to picking up that's a tip

that I learned from my Co a more like 30 years ago

all right and graze the deck up a little bit as you're doing the thumb pick up it

dissipates from the pickup but anyway here's what it is like that and then

you'll have two cards ready to go all right

or the pinkie count now you're going to take half the pack in dealers position

you're just going to swivel these two off like this they land on here then

you're going to pitch the rest of the deck back on there when you do that

you're holding a big break here the idea is that the sound of those leading edge

is contacting each other gives a feeling of completion nobody would suspect did

you've got a break there and the attitude is that you're just throwing

them down like you don't care definitely something to think about sound using

that okay you got this big break now I'm going to throw everything above the

break into this hand like that you're left with this here and this here

now comes the production I'll go with this in detail the second but what

you're doing is pushing these off then you do my fingertip production and here

comes the explanation for that okay here's the explanation to my fingertip

production it can be used in a lot of different ways in this case we've got a

card face to face and I'll just use one hand for right now you're going to do

the exact same thing in both hands to do the explosion production here's what

you're doing okay watch essentially that's what you're doing here's how you

do the production these are face to face

the thumb starts to push the top card forward as this finger is pushing the

rest of the deck backwards that allows us to clear the goal is to get the

middle finger about the center of the car and then you'll spring it forward

fully extended the idea is to get all the extension that you can okay watch

will pitch I do sometimes but at first move it forward this finger

is going to kick out and so without that you've got to

practice like this

and that's a production that you'll do with both hands and that's it now um

after I pitch everything above the break okay into this hand there is a second

that it takes to get into this position to just stay right here and get into it

and then do this I really want to suggest that what I do is pitches to

hear these hands kind of come on top of each other is I'm getting the move ready

and then it whens into is I'm coming back the production that makes

everything look a lot smoother and it doesn't look like you're doing anything

before the production thanks man

Premios Camus 2018 SPOT - Duration: 1:39.

Remembering those magical days in Sant Lluís, in Menorca ...

a desire for continuity emerged.

An urge to resume that path,

that return to Ithaca -as we said in the first gathering-,

every year.

The Trobades Albert Camus Award has several categories.

One of them is obviously literature.

Also, journalism, whose facet we know belongs really to the person of Albert Camus,

but we also open it to the plastic arts, visual arts, music and thought.

The work of an international jury

composed of five people of great trajectory.

This prize is intended for creators and thinkers

who deserve the qualification of Camusians,

who deserve the consideration of being creative witnesses of their time

and who intervene in their time.

Art, culture, artistic creation...

have to remain an essential element

in shaping the future of the Mediterranean.

Winner will be announced on April 28 in Sant Lluís, Menorca.

I think my dad has two families. Please make my dad stop! [Hello Counselor Sub : ENG,THA/2018.03.19] - Duration: 27:16.

This is titled "Two Families."

Hello.

I'm a man in my 20s from Busan.

I worry about my family every day.

I think my dad has two families.

(Two families?)

"Dad! Are you going there again?"

"Yes! I'm so excited!"

The place that my dad goes to every day

is the billiards hall.

He stabs the air with his pool cue

as he falls asleep at night.

This is a bigger problem. Ring!

"Son! Where are you?"

"I'm on a date with my girlfriend.

What is it?"

"I have to play pool.

Can you go to work for me instead?"

He even makes me do his job

so that he can play pool.

Please make my dad stop.

Do you like to play pool, Seunghyeon?

Jaewoo and I played pool together

a lot since we were young.

He's the long shot player of Nokbeon-dong.

Nokbeon-dong long shot player.

Long shots.

- Shooting long. / - He's good at that.

Dongyeob, you're the best player among comedians.

No, that's not true.

You're the god of billiards!

I played a lot decades ago.

Now I play only 1-2 times a year.

When you get really into it,

even the ceiling looks like a pool table.

- Sure. When you get into it. / - At first.

I think this man has been playing for years.

If he's playing billiards in thin air

he has a serious problem.

Please bring him out. Come on out, please.

(Who's concerned about his father?)

(Yu Seungbin)

(Welcome!)

25 years old.

How addicted is your father to billiards?

He got into it about 6 years ago.

For 6 years now.

He's crazy about billiards.

It's a major part of his life now.

He goes out at 8 to 9 a.m.

If he's home by midnight, he's home early.

That's more than 10 hours a day.

He usually comes home at 2 a.m.

He leaves a plastic bottle on the table

and practices his shots.

I once saw my dad sleeping on the sofa.

He was practicing in thin air with his cue stick.

He was sleeping with his cue stick.

- While he was asleep? / - Yes.

- He was holding it in his sleep? / - Yes.

He holds his stick when he sleeps on the couch.

(Sleeping with his cue stick)

Wow.

Is he practicing to become a professional?

Your score is about 500, right?

- He's at about 500. / - He used to be.

I think my dad is a little over 300.

He's good.

- Do you know how to play? / - Yes.

I'm sure you've seen your dad play.

WJSN members aren't understanding at all.

If your score is 300, it's pretty good.

How should I explain this?

What's the best score?

Oh! Let's compare it to a 100-meter sprint.

A professional athlete runs it in 9 or 10 seconds.

But the best sprinter among amateurs run

100 meters in about 11 or 12 seconds.

I would say his dad runs it in about 14 seconds.

He's pretty good.

He's very good for his age.

(Easy to understand)

It's good to have a hobby.

Why do you think it's a concern?

He makes me do his job.

What does he do?

How can you do his job instead of him?

Renting out equipment for events.

I skipped school for a month last semester.

That must've hurt your grades.

You wouldn't get grades then.

Yes, that's right.

I usually get good grades.

You're quite detailed.

I would've gotten a 4.1 or 4.2 GPA if I wasn't

absent, but it has dropped to 3.5.

So it isn't helping me at all.

Seeing how you're bragging about yourself,

you don't have any friends, right?

I do have friends.

You should talk to your dad then.

Tell him to only play on his days off.

Right.

He refused.

He said he would lose his skills if he rests.

He said that he must practice every day.

Let's meet his father.

Hello, sir.

Hello.

Do you understand your son's concern?

People tell me I play too much.

But I don't drink.

You don't drink. Most people who sit there...

Why don't you drink instead?

You should drink instead.

Do you really play pool every day?

I've been a regular at this place for a while,

so they gave me a key. So I go in the morning.

The owner isn't there?

The owner and I

are quite close now.

I'm like the manager there.

You play by yourself?

I practice.

It's not fun if you play by yourself.

I think it's more fun to practice by myself.

Then he is really into the sport.

People usually enjoy playing games with others.

Making bets.

But you practice by yourself starting in the morning?

Let's say I see someone do a play on TV.

Then that move is in my head.

I can't sleep.

I must go practice the move in the morning.

I have a practice cue stick in my office.

I have a cue stick at home, too.

(Oh my)

But you're not a professional.

Why do you practice so much?

Depending on the ball placement,

there's what we call a fluke.

Fluke?

(What does that mean?)

When you hit the ball wrong but it worked out.

When I finally make it after practicing

I can't put into words of how I feel then.

I feel so proud of myself.

I practice by myself and feel satisfaction.

So you started to play 6 years ago?

I played when I was young.

But I never thought it was fun.

You didn't understand why people enjoyed it.

I didn't understand.

But in a way

people with intelligence are good at billiards.

What I mean is...

Subtract this from that. Multiply this...

This mathematical system is embedded

in playing billiards.

The angle.

They are talking among themselves.

You're trying to explain it to them, right?

Let me explain it this way.

He never considered a 100-meter sprint fun.

He never understood the fun in it.

But when he learned the techniques

he ran a second faster.

So he realized how fun a sprint can be.

Since then, he's practicing to improve more.

- He found out the formula. / - He felt that joy.

I want to see how it's done.

You do?

I'm sure you've all been wondering what this is.

We have a pool table here.

God of billiards, Shin Dongyeob.

(To test dad's skills)

Shin Dongyeob will play against the father.

Please come on down.

Shall we move?

- The god of billiards. / - Move it up here.

I'm amazed. It's a pool table.

(For the big game)

(we've placed a 700-kg pool table)

(Set up perfectly!)

(Today's game is a 3-cushion billiards!)

You play with 3 balls? The three-cushion.

Let me explain how it's played.

(Wow!)

(Anxious)

You hit your own ball into

one of the other balls.

And you must hit the wall 3 times

before hitting the last ball.

(Rules of 3-cushion: Hit the wall 3 or more times)

(Before hitting the target ball)

(I see)

Do you have any tricks?

Acrobatic pool.

Practice first.

(Rub rub rub)

Good players usually make noise when doing that.

No, you shouldn't do it that way.

- That's for amateurs. / - I'm an amateur.

(I'm sorry I'm not good)

Good players put chalk on softly.

When we were young,

we would do it using our foot.

(Who uses hands to put chalk on?)

Go ahead.

He practices 10 or more hours a day.

(His eyes have changed)

There are many ways to do it.

He must hit the ball, then hit the wall 3 times

before hitting the target ball.

His posture is good.

(The right path)

One, two, three, then the ball.

(A success)

One more time, sir.

He did it.

One more time. One more time.

(Hahahaha)

- He's so excited. / - 1 point!

I think we're making him more addicted.

(One more time)

What's going on here?

(If he's placing it this way...)

After hitting the ball, that's one cushion.

Then two cushion here.

Three, four. Hitting the wall 4 times.

(Is this what you intended?)

You're definitely 500!

(I'm impressed!)

Is this hard to do?

- It's very hard. / - It's a trick.

If we compare it to a 100-meter sprint...

Why are you running this sprint so often?

An amateur runs it in 12 seconds.

He could be competing in the nationals.

Challenge accepted!

If he can't make it,

you try the same move, Dongyeob.

I haven't played much since high school.

(He confidently makes the shot!)

(Will he make it?)

(The right path)

One!

(A big failure)

It didn't work.

- I don't know if I can do it. / - Again!

Let me try it this time.

(Here comes the god of billiards)

(He lost his chance)

If he makes it, he's indeed the god of billiards.

I'm nervous.

(Please fail...)

(3 cushion)

(Just a little more!)

(The right path)

Yes!

(He made it exactly)

(He's indeed the god of billiards)

I'm nervous.

This is it.

(Ah... Mixed emotions)

- That was great. / - One, two, three.

(Let me relax now)

The god of billiards! The god of billiards!

Let's do another difficult one.

Make him try once, too.

(His shoulders could hit the sky)

(That was nothing)

Let's do a difficult one.

(I will do whatever you want me to do)

Give him a hard one to try.

The mic.

His shoulders...

Try a hard one.

This one's really hard.

You could try it yourself

and look like you're as good as he is.

Challenge yourself.

Don't talk to him right now.

He can't hear you at all.

He's aggravated.

He doesn't look so happy right now.

(Today is the day!)

Would that work?

(The expected path)

(It's more difficult than before)

(Will he make it this time?)

That was too fast.

He only hit the wall twice.

(Bitter)

It was supposed to go this way.

(That's enough for warming up!)

Let's play a game this time.

Sir!

The person who gets 5 points first wins.

The loser will grant the winner's wish.

What happens if I win?

If you win, I will introduce you

to a great instructor who could teach you

to improve your skills quickly.

I'm serious.

(I'm not going to cheer for you)

Let's do it right.

Round girls. Let's go!

(Yeongja and WJSN)

(Like a mother bird and her babies)

You look like a mother bird and baby birds.

All right! KBS Billiards Sports Competition.

(KBS Billiards Sports Competition)

(-Yeouido KBS-)

We have Shin Dongyeob and the father here

to play the match today.

(Shin Dongyeob, the legendary 500 player)

(Father who is in love with billiards)

(Who will win today?)

- The first one to get 5 points. / - I'll move.

If one fails to make it, the other player goes.

(Let's focus)

(I may have failed the difficult ones)

(But I will win this match!)

- One. / - Two.

(Will he win a point?)

Three!

Nice.

Let's cheer for him. Yeah!

(Yeah!)

1 point.

(He got his smile back)

Hold this up.

We must cheer to get noodles later.

The first shot was good.

Second shot.

Oh, that.

(It's moving towards the red ball)

(Failure)

It's Dongyeob's turn now.

Dongyeob is up now.

Why am I so nervous about this?

(High hopes)

(No more smiling)

(Figuring out the path)

(I found it!)

I normally don't explain.

(Is it a long shot?)

One, two, three.

Four.

Last one.

(He got a point with five cushions)

(He is still the 500-point legend)

He won a point.

Wow.

(He's really good)

That was really good, right?

There are many ways to do this.

I can hit the ball after 3 cushions.

Or I can go with five cushions.

Go long!

A long shot!

He's doing a long shot.

(Will he win another point?)

One, two, three.

It looks good.

(He makes another five cushion?)

It looks good.

Four, five.

(He wins another point)

(My wish is drifting away from me...)

That was another five-cushion.

2 points.

Shin Dongyeob is winning 2 to 1.

This is too narrow to target it.

- I think you can do it. / - It'd be tough.

- One, two, three. / - That was weak.

(Will he continue to win points?)

It's coming in.

I don't think he'll make it.

There wasn't enough power.

It's father's turn now.

The current score is 2:1.

We're running out of time, so 3 points total.

The first one to get 3 points will win.

- You can do it! / - 3 points.

You must be cautious.

If you make 2 points in a row, you win.

(Please be prudent...)

He was too nervous.

(He was too nervous!)

A mismatch?

(It's Dongyeob's turn again)

- That's an easy one. / - It is.

It's easy, but...

It's easy to miss the easy ones.

There's a high chance of a kiss.

"Kiss"?

The ball might block the other ball.

(Dongyeob wins if he makes it)

(Will dad be given another chance?)

- One more point. / - There!

(Please let the ball be blocked)

(Failure)

So that was a kiss.

It would've been over if he got this.

I wanted to show you this move, too.

Sir, you're losing.

(Just as he practiced every day)

(Don't be nervous)

Two.

There we go.

Two points.

- Nice! / - 2 to 2.

It's a tie.

This could end the game.

(With 6 years of practice)

(I want to defeat the god of billiards!)

Your son is watching you, sir.

Your son is watching you, sir.

(Will his wish come true?)

Two.

Kiss.

It was another kiss.

Did you just watch people play pool?

Will Dongyeob end the game here?

It's been a long time since I've played.

I've never seen Dongyeob's eyes, mouth

and nose focus at the center like this.

(They are about to become one)

You can't help it when you stare at a ball.

His eyes are coming together as one.

Empty cushion. It's hard. Two, three.

(Hitting the walls first!)

(If it goes in this direction...)

- Nice! / - There we go!

(Will it hit the red ball?)

Empty cushion. It's hard. Two, three.

- Nice! / - There we go!

(He scores)

Unbelievable!

(Dongyeob wins)

Shin Dongyeob wins!

The god of billiards!

(You're the true god of billiards)

(Goodbye, my wish...)

What did you think of the game?

He's very good.

He's acknowledging it.

When he missed his shot

I looked at his eyes.

He's really into this.

He gets really excited and then

he's really depressed.

His emotions were on a rollercoaster.

He's not just enjoying this sport.

He's addicted.

Your mother must be most concerned.

Since he's addicted to playing pool

my mom got lonely

so she moved to Vietnam

about 2-3 years ago.

What are you talking about?

Even if she did hate him playing pool so much,

she left?

You mean she emigrated to Vietnam?

She used to be

a well-known casino dealer in Busan.

Wow.

When he got into playing pool,

she got sick of seeing it

and went to Vietnam to work.

I don't think

she left because of me.

Then why?

So it's not because of you?

Since she has so much experience

she went to other countries.

She wanted to do her work. She's a guide now.

He doesn't know his problem, so it's frustrating.

Mom comes to Korea twice a year

for about 2 weeks at a time.

He eats breakfast with her only on the day she arrives

and then goes straight to the billiard room.

Since he feels guilty playing pool,

he keeps asking her.

"When are you leaving?"

She said she left because of him?

She said that if he quits playing and

shows that he cares

she's willing to come back home.

But he won't tell her to come back.

His mother isn't here,

but she's listening to our conversation.

She is on the phone with us.

You better be clear, sir.

You said it isn't your fault, right?

Hello, ma'am.

Hello.

- Hello. / - Nice to meet you.

Your husband said you left the country

because you wanted to follow your career.

When he comes home, he falls asleep

in the living room while watching billiard games.

I think he sleeps in his bed once every 10 days.

Even when I'm home on vacation.

That must've been upsetting.

I'm always lonely.

Sure. You have a husband, but...

If he promises to play less and focus

more on the family, are you willing to come back?

Yes.

I'm sure it won't happen,

but if he keeps his promise, I'll go back.

- Right away? / - Yes.

This is the first time I heard her say that

she'll come back if I quit playing pool.

Would she really?

Don't be shy and talk to us.

(Dad, this is a serious matter!)

You must miss your mom a lot, too.

Yes. She's a great cook.

Then you must really miss her cooking.

I miss talking to her about school life.

I miss having conversations with her.

I got hurt at work and

my right leg was paralyzed.

I couldn't move my right leg.

My dad came and left on the day

I was hospitalized.

My aunt's family came to the hospital every day.

You must've missed your mom a lot.

She called crying and asked me

if she should come home.

He's about to cry.

I'm crying right now.

Your son is crying, too.

Me too.

The family is apart because of billiards.

What on earth is going on?

As for my sister and me,

once we get married

we would leave and

start our own families.

Our parents have the rest of their lives.

But dad is spending all his time playing pool

and his work isn't going so well.

Your son is so considerate.

He is here to amend your ties with your wife.

This is your chance.

I do feel bad but

billiard halls aren't as bad as they used to be.

They are not filled with gangs.

I don't tell my kids that I go to a billiard hall.

I tell them that I go to a sports center.

(That's not the problem)

We know that.

But you spend your entire day there.

It's not about where you go.

What do you want from your dad the most?

I want him to play pool only 1-2 hours a day

and find a hobby that

he can enjoy with us as a family.

When I signed up for this program

he didn't come here to change his ways,

but he wanted to be on television to

be able to learn from the professionals.

(Let's press the button!)

We've heard this much so far.

Sir! How would you feel if your son got into

billiards and played 12 hours a day?

Would you encourage him?

You don't know how people look at

those who play pool all day long, right?

They think those people are pathetic.

You are over 50 years old now.

I hope you realize how others look at you and

how your son feels watching you waste your days.

Please understand how your family feels.

I always thought I was doing everything I could

and was playing pool, too.

Since my son and wife are both saying that,

I will play only 5 hours a week.

(Amazing!)

Amazing! Amazing!

Call mom! Call mom!

Tell her to come back to Korea!

It's hard to reduce that much so fast.

(Please keep your promise!)

That's great, sir.

He has changed his way of thinking.

You want your wife to come back, right?

Of course.

Then all you need to do is change.

Right.

Everyone is waiting for you to change.

Let's vote now.

He looks more optimistic now.

Also, Dongyeob won the match earlier.

Please grant his wish.

I don't think it's a concern.

- It's not? / - It's not.

Since billiards drove the family apart,

- it's a concern for the son. / - Yes.

I think this problem will be resolved soon

so I don't think it's a concern.

I don't think it's a concern either.

Press the button if you think it's a concern.

(What does the audience think?)

5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Please stop.

Let's see how many votes they got.

"Two Families."

The last digit is 9.

- Did they get at least 100 votes? / - 99.

Please keep your promise, sir.

I'm here today to report a missing person!!!!! [Hello Counselor Sub : ENG,THA / 2018.03.19] - Duration: 31:12.

It's titled "Mom, Where Are You Going?"

Hello. I'm a 21-year-old college student.

I'm here today to report a missing person.

It's because of my mother

who disappears every night.

Ding dong! "Mom, where are you?"

Ding dong! "Why aren't you home yet?"

Ding dong! "Mom! It's 3 a.m.!"

Ding dong. "Mom, I'm worried. Please text me.

At least send me a text."

My mom stays out overnight

once every two days.

Once it was really bad

and she stayed out all week long.

Is she busy?

When I finally get ahold of her,

"Mom! Where are you? What's going on?

Are you in trouble?"

"Stop calling me!

I told you not to bother me when I'm having fun!"

Oh, she's busy having fun?

I don't know what she does

that she doesn't come home to sleep.

- She really knows how to have fun. / - Right.

My whole life, whenever I was happy or sad

I never had my mom by me.

"Mom! It's my birthday.

Spend the day with me.

"No! I have to go out and have fun."

(Is she really a mother?)

"Mom. I'm worried about my future career."

"Talk to your teacher about that."

Does she not love me?

She's busy having fun all the time.

Please make her stay at home.

She sent her concern to us.

She is busy having fun.

A daughter wrote to us because she couldn't

get ahold of her mother.

Please come on out.

(Who's concerned about her mother?)

(Going to greet the daughter)

(Seunghyeon works the hardest today)

You wrote to us that

she doesn't come home every other day?

Yes. She doesn't come home every other day.

(Really?)

She owns a clothing store.

She never comes straight home after work.

She goes out and comes home at 3 or 4 a.m.

Or when it's bad, she stays out all week

and I never saw my mom during that time.

(Such a serious concern)

What does she do?

She just says she's with her friends.

She never tells me anything in detail.

Does she enjoy drinking?

She can't drink all that much.

- Really? / - She can't drink.

Can you drink more than she can?

We're just about the same.

(No slang)

Just about the same.

Right. Just about the same.

You're quick.

Does she go traveling?

Even when she goes on a trip

she tells me after she returns.

Have you ever tried to talk to her

about your concerns seriously?

She just answers evasively and brushes me off.

Does she do that now that you're all grown up?

Or has she been doing this for a while?

Ever since I was in elementary school.

My birthday is a day after my mom's.

She was born on the 5th and I was born on the 6th.

She goes out with friends on her birthday

and I never get to see her on my birthday.

All I get is the cake she got on her birthday.

That's so upsetting.

You must've been upset when discussing your future.

"Figure it out yourself. Don't ask me.

I don't know either." That's what she said.

Considering that, you're quite cheerful.

Do you think there's a reason

why your mom goes out so much?

She had me when she was 20 years old,

- so she's 40 now. / - She's young.

(In a similar situation)

She has the energy to go out.

We don't understand though.

This sounds more like your dad's concern.

My dad passed away of a disease

when I was in fourth grade.

So after my dad died

she started to go out even more.

Since my dad passed away

my mom hasn't cooked for me once.

I know it was upsetting when you were young,

but you're all grown up now.

Can't you be a little more understanding now?

You're grown up and she's still young.

Yes, I try to be understanding, but once

she goes out, I can't reach her at all.

On time, we were supposed to go to a party,

but she never called and stayed out all night.

I wasn't sure if I should report her missing.

Then around 9 p.m. she texted me that

she went out with her friends instead.

When I was in middle and high school,

I called her until she answered.

When she answered, she said,

"Stop calling me."

Subin! Are you watching this?

Learn from her.

My daughter doesn't want me to call.

She tells me to stop calling and

- it's enough that she's alive. / - Oh my.

Girls can be tricky.

Did you try lying to

get her to come home?

I once texted her,

"Help! Help me!"

I even made mistakes on purpose. "Plea...."

I misspelled on purpose.

But she never cares.

- You were pretending? / - Yes.

But she never responded?

She didn't even text me to ask if I'm okay.

She's quite determined.

Since you are both females,

I think she knows what you're up to.

There was once a mother who pretended to be sick

because her daughter was causing trouble.

How dare you!

When she collapsed, the daughter said, "Get up."

Then she'd just get up while cussing.

They just know.

But it must've been tough for the daughter.

She must've missed her mom.

Let me blatantly ask you.

Did you ever consider living your own life

and not caring about hers?

I should be the grownup if my mom isn't.

(So touching and sad)

She's so mature.

Your mom made you become independent.

Does she give you allowance?

No, I don't get allowance from her.

I know that she doesn't have any money

so I work part-time and give her an allowance.

You're such a good daughter.

You give money to your mom?

Yes, I do.

Does she pay for your tuition?

No, she's never done that.

I pay tuition with the money

I've saved up since elementary school.

Wow.

You're an angel.

I'm sure she has her reasons, too.

Let's meet her mother. Hello.

Hello.

Mother.

Please say hello to your daughter.

How long has it been?

Two days?

Is everything she said true?

Yes, it's true.

- How upsetting. / - The tuition, too?

Do you understand her concern?

No.

Why not?

It's not like I'm doing something bad.

What's considered bad in your definition?

Drinking and ending up at the police station.

I just have fun sober.

Do you have a boyfriend that

you never told your daughter about?

No, not at all.

- No boyfriend? / - No.

You don't drink.

You don't drink. You don't have a boyfriend.

What do you that you stay out all night?

What do you do?

Do you play patty cake?

What do you do?

I like to have fun.

To be honest, I go to nightclubs.

Oh, nightclubs.

You like to dance?

I just go to relieve stress and

waiters treat us so well

that I feel like a princess.

They usually set you up with single men.

No, we don't do that.

Do you tell the waiters that you won't do that?

We always go to the same place, so they know.

Even at a new place, we tell them we don't do it.

At least she has rules about not meeting men.

I'd like to ask you this.

When your husband was alive

I assume that you didn't party so much then.

I had fun then, too.

- Even then? / - Wow.

It's not easy to go clubbing for 20 years.

How often do you go clubbing?

I sometimes go every day of the week.

At least 5 times a week.

I go at around 10 p.m. and leave at around 4 a.m.

You leave when the closing song comes on?

I leave just before the song comes on.

Clubs close around 3 or 4 a.m.

What do you do when you don't come home

all week long? You pack all your clothes?

We go to Seoul or Cheonan.

We go to other clubs if we hear

they have good DJs or good music.

I'm sure you had an inkling that

she went to nightclubs, right?

Yes, I did kind of hear about it.

But I didn't know she went every day.

- Are you surprised? / - Yes, I am.

- But she doesn't have a boyfriend. / - Right.

Are you relieved or disappointed?

She wouldn't care, probably.

Why can't she meet men at nightclubs?

Oh, you don't understand that, huh?

So the daughter is wondering

why her mom would go to nightclubs.

Why go if she's not going to meet men?

Since I deal with people at work

I get stressed out.

So when I go to clubs and watch people

I get to relieve stress.

I don't really care about men.

When you say you watch people,

I'm sure there are many types of people there.

What makes you relieve stress?

I watch people get drunk and stumble over.

I like to watch people get into fights.

- You're a spectator. / - Right.

Have you ever been

to a nightclub yourself?

I became an adult last year

and went to a club out of curiosity.

It was so loud and crowded.

So I just came right out.

I wondered why my mom likes to go to

loud clubs when she doesn't dance well.

She's a spectator.

How do you know she doesn't dance well?

At home... Oh gee.

She dances when she gets excited.

I wish I didn't see that.

Ma'am! Is it okay for her to go to clubs?

- No way. / - Why not?

She's too young and naive.

I once went to a club in Daejeon and

girls were half-naked and

boys were walking around drunk.

She must never go.

How old were you when you first went to a club?

(Flustered)

How old were you?

She's so nice though.

She can't lie.

Your husband passed away years ago

and your daughter is all grown up now.

We understand that you want to relieve stress.

But why won't you call? She's worried.

I don't check my phone when I'm having fun.

Even when I see that she's calling

I know she'll just nag at me to come

back early, so I don't answer it.

She said she texted you that she was sick.

Why didn't you text her back?

I knew she was pretending.

See? They know.

How did you know?

She's not the type to get sick.

You're very healthy, huh?

How can you be so sure though?

She could really be sick one day.

She hasn't gotten sick and my mom is with her.

If it was really urgent, my mom would call.

Why don't you think of it this way?

What if your daughter went out

and you couldn't reach her?

That would start a war.

That would start a war?

That's how your daughter feels, ma'am.

She would get angry and call until I answer.

Really?

Why do you do that?

She won't answer, so I call until she does.

Because I'm worried about her.

She's doing the same thing to you.

I am older and have experience.

But she's still too young.

So from what age is it okay to go out?

I would say 25 years old.

So after she turns 25

she can go to clubs every day like you?

- No, she can't. / - That's absurd.

You're saying that because you know it's wrong.

You know that she could be in danger.

But you're saying that it's safe for you to go out.

That's ridiculous.

That's right. You shouldn't think you're safe.

I am safe.

(Frustrated!)

Have you ever suggested to go

with your mom when she goes out?

She won't let me go with her.

- She won't? / - She won't.

Why won't you let her go with you?

Families aren't supposed to have fun together.

Then what do families do?

Families watch television at home.

(Absurd)

But what we don't understand is...

Your daughter says she pays her own tuition

with the money she's saved up since she was a child.

Where do you spend your money?

She said she gives you allowance, too.

I give myself a gift once a month.

What kind of gift?

I like shoes, accessories and beauty products.

So I buy myself those things.

What about your daughter?

- I don't get anything for her. / - Why not?

She buys her own things.

This is ridiculous.

When I watched this program on TV it wasn't so bad,

but being here, this is just ridiculous.

- To hear it in person. / - Frustrating, right?

Your lips are trembling as you speak.

Have you ever gotten a present from your mom?

Never.

- Not once? / - Think hard.

Not even a birthday gift?

I never got a birthday gift either.

I didn't get her a gift, but I gave her a card.

Did you ever cook seaweed soup for her birthday?

You mean you wrote a card, right?

I never made seaweed soup.

She never made seaweed soup either.

Credit card.

I'm not good at cooking.

Did you ever cook seaweed soup for your mom?

She's never home.

She isn't?

She's never home on her birthday.

I never got to congratulate her in person.

Since my mom and I have similar birthdays

my grandmother cooks seaweed soup for me.

If your birthdays are only a day apart

you must've gone into labor on your birthday.

I was with my friends for my birthday party

and I went to labor.

I went to the hospital and had her in 10 minutes.

That's why our birthdays are only a day apart.

You were partying until you gave birth?

- Right up until then. / - Wow.

Since you're here, let's be honest here.

You buy yourself a gift every month.

You must spend quite a bit of money.

She also goes to nightclubs.

She has no money for her daughter.

I spend as little as $3,000 a month

to $5,000 max.

On buying things? Not at nightclubs?

I don't spend much at nightclubs.

I just buy gifts for myself.

Can you afford to spend that much?

You must earn quite a bit.

At first, I couldn't afford it

so I would borrow money from people.

I even asked my mom to get a loan.

But now I can afford it.

Why are you so confident?

We are speechless.

I didn't do anything wrong.

Your daughter has a part-time job.

When you see that, don't you feel like

you should save up some money

for you daughter for when she gets married?

I haven't thought about that yet.

I can see the daughter is here today.

She can't talk to her mom.

No one can get through to the mom.

Did you pay back the money you borrowed from your mom?

- How much did you borrow? / - I haven't yet.

- You haven't? / - No.

- How much was the loan? / - $30,000.

You haven't paid her back yet?

No.

- You're not planning to ever? / - Right.

- Why not? / - Because it's your mom's money?

Yes. We're family.

- I'm so frustrated. / - Do you give her money?

I'm sure she gives money for living expenses.

No, I don't.

So everything you earn is for yourself?

Only for myself.

I've been on Hello Counselor for many years now

and I've never met anyone like her.

I've heard so many concerns here,

but I feel like I'm talking to a wall.

We've been doing this for 8 years, too.

Let's meet one of her friends.

I think she's one of the members.

She's a former member. Not a current one.

Former member.

(Are they a girl group or something?)

We worked together 10 years ago at a department store.

I went to nightclubs with her until last year.

Now I don't.

Why don't you go anymore?

I don't have enough energy anymore.

No more energy.

As her friend, can you understand her?

To be honest, no.

There isn't a mother like this in the world.

Right?

What did you do at nightclubs?

Did you really just watch people?

We only danced.

When upbeat music was on

we danced like crazy in front of the speakers.

When slow songs came on, we just watched people.

Since you say you can dance well sober,

can you show us?

I don't dance well.

You're sober now.

Mom, too.

It'd be embarrassing to dance alone,

so everyone in the front row, stand up and dance.

Stand up.

Help them out.

(Bursting with spirit right as the music starts)

WJSN, dance with them!

So they're dancing.

They're dancing.

They're dancing.

(A male customer shows up)

Here comes a man. What do you do?

You do dance with men.

(Defending her friend)

She's defending her friend.

Are you here alone?

I came with a friend. What about you?

I'm here with a friend, too.

(Hello! I'm a long-shot pool player from Nokbeon)

- Have fun. / - Okay.

Thank you, everybody.

So it's true that nothing happens.

Let's applaud to those who were forced to dance.

Thank you.

So the friend blocked Seunghyeon from coming.

Did you normally do that?

Yes, we protect each other.

Do you have children?

Yes. I have a son in middle school.

So he knew that you went to nightclubs?

He doesn't know. It's okay.

He's in his second year of middle school?

- He should know. / - He doesn't know about clubs.

He pretends not to know to his mom.

I did the same thing.

Your friend has a daughter.

Did you ever tell your friend that she should

go home to her daughter and mother?

Every day.

But she never listened?

She just said, "I'll just sleep away from home."

It must be upsetting that she never comes home.

Yes. She doesn't do anything at home.

She leaves all her clothes on the floor.

She never does the laundry or the dishes.

Then why do you give your mom

the money you earned by working?

Because she's my mom.

Since my father passed away

I want to fill in that gap for her.

Their roles have reversed.

Look. I think she's earning enough money.

You're just letting her spend more money.

Did you work many part-time jobs

to give her money?

Yes, I've worked many jobs.

I worked from 6-12 hours.

What kind of jobs?

I worked as a waitress in a restaurant.

As you can tell already,

she matured at an early age.

She could be upset or frustrated but

she controls her emotions perfectly

so that she doesn't hurt her mom's feelings.

She's trying hard not to get hurt, too.

That's even more heartbreaking.

Were you ever hurt by your mom?

My mom sometimes has a temper.

One time she cussed at me and

hit me with the remote control for no reason.

I can't remember why she did that.

Do you remember, ma'am?

- No, I don't. / - You don't remember?

How did she cuss at you?

"You b... Are you retar..."

You're pretty good.

(She turns her pain into laughter)

Is your mom on good terms with grandma?

No, they're on terrible terms.

My mom can't control her temper

so she yelled at grandma.

I saw grandmother crying a few times.

How can she do that to her own mother?

My grandma works for a moving company.

- She works? / - Yes.

She hurt her wrist and arm,

so she got surgery and went through rehab.

She said she can't do house chores anymore,

but my mom never cared.

She is your own mother.

Why did you treat her that way?

Even if I don't help out,

my daughter helps my mom out,

so I never cared.

Is this why?

You had your daughter at a young age

and you were hurt.

Are you acting this way because you feel

like you never got to enjoy your life?

Compensation mentality!

That's part of it.

After I gave birth so young,

I saw my friends go out and have fun.

I had to stay at home.

I got depressed for 2-3 years

and never left the house.

My husband gave me money so that

I could go out and have fun.

He took care of our daughter for me.

I guess that became a habit.

Your husband passed away so soon.

Are you still in shock from his death?

I was shocked and couldn't do anything.

My daughter was in fourth grade.

She put her arm around me and

said, "Cheer up, mom. You got me."

I realized then that I need to get a grip,

but I couldn't give up on having fun.

It's like having a game addiction.

She knows it's wrong,

but she can't give it up.

You know that you're overdoing it, right?

- Me? / - Going out to have fun.

No.

Staying out all week isn't overdoing it?

I should have fun while I can.

I couldn't do this for many more years.

I think you could do it for 15 years more.

To sum up how your daughter has lived,

I think this is how she might feel.

"Am I somebody she doesn't need in her life?

Am I being loved?"

How do you feel? I'm so curious.

When I was young

I thought I was adopted.

But I found my birth certificate.

She had one,

so I knew I wasn't adopted.

Maybe this is how you feel.

Are you giving money to your mom

so that she will care for you?

Are you giving her money so that

she'll show some interest in you?

Yes.

Imagine a little kid feeling this way.

She was neglected for too many years.

My daughter is older now,

so I try to talk to her about our concerns.

Have you ever tried doing that?

Even if I talk to her about my concerns,

she wouldn't be able to solve them for me.

She should be having fun with her friends.

Why should she talk to me?

(All she can do is smile)

I feel like I'm seeing my older sister.

My nieces were 3 years old and 3 months old

when her husband passed away from kidney failure.

My sister really enjoyed going to clubs, too.

I guess she couldn't handle his death.

But she didn't go clubbing for that long.

But my niece always got worried

when her mom went out.

"What if that cab driver kidnaps my mom?"

She was afraid that her mom would disappear.

That is why I can understand how she feels.

It's okay to do it temporarily but

you've been doing this for more than 10 years.

You must live the way you think

but you think the way you live.

That's why we think you should end this.

Don't be stressed out anymore.

Acknowledge your mom's way of life

and just live your own life. Can't you do that?

That's what I thought, too.

But recently, I went to see my dad.

I looked at the visitors' log.

I didn't know, but mom visited

my dad's grave quite often.

She wrote, "Honey, it's hard.

Our daughter is growing up well.

Show up in my dream and listen to me."

When I read that, I realized that

my dad was the only one she could rely on.

Now that my dad isn't here

I want to share that burden with her.

Did you love your husband very much?

You relied on him a lot?

Yes, I did.

Sure. It's tough and lonely.

Why did you go see your husband?

I go whenever I miss him or when things are hard.

You want to rely on him, right?

Were you lonely often, too?

I get lonely quite easily.

Since many years have passed,

you could find another man

who could love you.

She doesn't want that.

- You don't want that? / - Not yet.

No.

You are grateful to your daughter, right?

Yes, of course.

Without her,

I could've ended up worse.

I'm always grateful to her

but I don't normally show that.

She doesn't express her feelings.

Why don't you tell her now?

Look at that.

(No no)

Why not?

You may not be able to be with her often,

but when your daughter really wants it

look her in her eyes and listen to her.

Even if you don't have anything to say

just listening to what she has to say

could be a big help to your daughter.

I know it feels awkward,

but try to express how you feel

to your daughter for the first time.

I know you're shy, but please try.

Just briefly. Look her in the eyes.

You came to Seoul today.

If you can't do it here, you'll never do it.

Think about it.

Just briefly. Look at her.

(She finally holds the mic up)

Yeojin.

Oh, this is awkward.

I can't promise that I won't go to clubs,

but I'll try to go less.

Please understand me going about 3 times a week.

I will try hard to talk to you more.

She was holding back well until now.

Not just your promise but

tell her how grateful you are, too.

How you really feel inside.

Why won't you tell her?

How Gerard Piqué's Move From Barcelona to Manchester United Shaped Him - Duration: 7:10.

From an early age I was a member of FC Barcelona.

From when I was born my grandfather made me a member.

So ...

I've had a very special bond with this club since I was very little.

It feels like my home, my family.

However, there came a day when I chose to leave the club ...

a decision I made because I believe that

in the end ...

you can be of FC Barcelona your whole life, but in that specific moment

first and foremost, I had to be a footballer.

It wasn't easy at all.

The first six months in Manchester were very difficult.

I cried many nights.

However, I think that time was …

was crucial in helping me become what I am today.

I think I would have been a very different person if I hadn't gone through that …

that period of four years — three at Manchester United and one on loan in Zaragoza —

because ...

I went there when I was a kid and I think came back to Barca being a man.

There were …

many days when I questioned why I was there, because I was alone

I only played a little bit, because

I was young and because there was a pair of center-backs who were very, very good.

Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

So the opportunities were few ...

the weather was bad and the food wasn't the best.

I was 17 the first year I got there, and I lived with a family

which wasn't the easiest thing because well ...

obviously the culture is very different.

I remember the first day that I got a warm lemon cake for dessert.

I hate cakes, and even more if it's lemon, and more so if it's warm.

But you eat it because it's the first time, and it's new.

I remember that I felt like throwing it up ...

but I forced myself to eat it and ...

and it made you realize that you aren't at home.

Even if the parents in that family try to help you out as much as possible and to make you feel at home, well ...

it's not the same.

It's a very complicated situation of taking the leap to the first team.

Because you're very young, you want to prove that you can be there

but at the same time you're very inhibited.

You're very, not nervous, but ...

you try to go unnoticed because you don't want ...

to be the center of attention. Obviously you're surrounded by stars, and you're just getting started.

So it's a complicated feeling to start training with them.

A defender has to go after 50-50 balls and has to go in very hard.

At the same time, damn, if you injure Giggs or Cristiano Ronaldo or Ruud van Nistelrooy....

I always remember a game at Bolton with Manchester United ...

that we lost 1–0, and …

and it was my mistake.

It was a long ball in the air that I timed poorly.

I was about to head it, but I missed it.

And I remember Anelka, who played for Bolton, controlled the ball inside the area and scored.

And the team lost 1-0

It was during a time when the manager was giving me a lot of minutes on the pitch ...

and from there on that trust, well...

which is what tends to happen with young players ...

who try to get minutes and ...

If you make a mistake, normally the manager starts doubting.

And he stopped believing in me in that moment.

Obviously it was very hard because like I mentioned

being in a place that's not your home ...

and seeing a manager you were building trust with lose it.

It was not easy. But eventually, as time passes ...

you realize that with that mistake I was able to come to Barca, and I was able to win all these title I've won.

It was my agent, Arturo Canales, who came and told me there could be an opportunity to go to Barca.

At first I found myself a little surprised, because I wasn't playing at Manchester United.

So why would they want a center-back who's not playing?

Then he said, "No, it's because they know you ...

You were there for many years. You have the characteristics they're looking for, the way you play.

And obviously you're not going there as a starter, but they do want you as a ...

as a center-back who can do well if any of the starters get injured."

So I said I'll go straight. I don't care.

It's my home, and it's a playing style that perhaps fits me better than the Premier League.

And I know that I will get my opportunity.

So from the very first moment I didn't doubt it, come on, I mean….

The difficult part was convincing Sir Alex Ferguson ...

to let me go, because in England there aren't buyout clauses.

So they could set whatever price they wanted to.

The last year I was at United ...

Sir Alex told me that I would play about 25 games

and I think I played about 13 or 14, so about half.

He hadn't fulfilled his promise, so I went

and told him, "Sir Alex, I feel like you haven't fulfilled

your part of the deal, your promise. You have to understand that

Barca is interested. That's my home, and I want to go there."

And truth is, it was a conversation.

It was very difficult, because like I said I wasn't playing and it was very hard.

I always had a phenomenal relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson.

I always say he was like a father to me. From the first day, he took great care of me.

And …

well, having this kind of conversation is always difficult because in the end I was 21 and ...

he had helped me a lot.

But at the same time, I felt like I had lost his belief in me with that mistake.

So the conversation went really well, and the deal was closed relatively quickly.

But right as it was being finalized ...

the Champions League semi-finals began, and Manchester United was playing against Barcelona.

And well, whether you like it or not …

even though you already know you're about to leave for Barca, at the same time

you obviously want to fight for Manchester United because it's in your interest in that moment.

And the first game we played in Camp Nou

and Vidic, who was one of the two center-backs, got injured.

He had stomach problems I think and couldn't play.

I was the third center-back, so in theory I had to play at Camp Nou.

So I was feeling really nervous, and ...

during the siesta, when we had two of hours to rest before the game

the manager came to my room, which is something he never used to do. He tells me "Gerard ...

I regret to inform you that because of your situation …

because I know that the deal is almost done and that you are leaving for Barca …

I won't put you in. Because if you happen to have a bad game ...

they could say that it's because you are about to leave for Barca.

So I want you to know that I won't put you in today."

Truth is, it was a tough hit for me, because I expected to play ...

and was very excited because it was at Camp Nou.

But at the same time I saw that ...

his taking that step meant that the deal would close, which in the end was the most important thing for me

because that's where I wanted to go.

We ended up eliminating Barca and winning the Champions League.

So I left in the best way possible, winning the Premier League and the Champions League.

Spring Monochrome Makeup Using One Lipstick - Duration: 4:33.

Hi everyone.

It's Anh here.

Today I want to share with you a monochrome look that I create with only one lipstick.

Let's get started.

I start with a pore-filling primer in the center of my face.

Today I'm only focusing the coverage on where I really need it,

which is my jawline

and my little red friend right here.

I press the foundation on with my fingers, and blend with a dampened sponge where I want

to look more skin-like.

I blur my lip line as well.

I use a fluffy brush to cover my dark circle,

and a precise brush for blemishes.

I then set my whole face, except for my cheeks and chin.

I fill in my brows while my eye primer is drying.

Then with almost no powder on the sponge, I set my eye lids.

This lipstick is the only color I'm wearing today.

I start with applying it on my cheeks.

Because it goes a bit too far, I blend the edges with my fluffy concealer blush.

Moving in to eyeshadow,

I literally just put the same lipstick on my lid, blend it out

with my finger and the same fluffy brush.

Isn't it easy?

For my lip makeup,

I apply the color only in the center of my lips,

then blend it outwards with my finger.

Then I add some blush on my chin and my cheeks.

You can stop here for a soft every day makeup look, but I want to glow.

Then I wet my brush for more intense highlight on my cheek bones,

and on my eye lids.

I put most of the product on the inner corner and blend it outwards.

It will create some dimension and a glossy look for the eye makeup.

I run a brow gel through my brows to make them fluffier.

Then more highlighter on my cupid's bow,

and the bottom of my lips.

Moving on to lashes.

I curl them as usual.

Then I apply several layers of mascara.

I use a clean mascara wand between layers to make sure that my lashes are not clumpy

but still voluminous without false lashes.

And this is the final look.

Thank you so much for watching.

And good bye!

Harbor Freight Solar Panel Review and DIY - Episode 2 - Duration: 11:34.

Welcome to honest Jeff reviews where in the paraphrased words of Abraham Lincoln, "I'm

not gonna lie to ya" Hi today is part two of the Harbor Freight solar panel

DIY project I'm working on. Today I'm gonna be unboxing everything and showing

you what's in the box, what the protection is around what's in the box.

keep in mind I haven't opened this stuff up yet so I'm not sure being returned

items to Harbor Freight, if it's gonna have all the protection around it or not,

but we'll see. Then I'm gonna take one of the solar panel kits and I'm gonna put

it all together and do a quick test, just to make sure everything is working

correctly. Again these were returns to Harbor Freight that I got at a discount,

so I want to make sure that it's all working. I'm gonna test each of the four

panels to make sure that it's putting out voltage, then I'm gonna test the

charge controller and make sure it's working properly as well. So let's get

started. So opening up the box here... has packing tape over the original packing

tape because they were returned items. And then I'm getting ready to slice

through right there, and "as is no return" sticker. And each of the pieces of

cardboard surrounding the panel's also has that same sticker on it.

So there are four panels, each one is a 25 watt panel. They seem to be pretty

well boxed up given it's a return.

There's the box that has all the cables and the charge controller in it and our

handy dandy owner's manual. Now I'm gonna open up the small box that has the

cables and the charge controller in it. I was originally going to cut the tape but

I decided just in case there was items inside that were defective, or didn't

work, I'd just peel the "as-is" tape off so I can return it. I know it says "as is",

but Harbor Freight did tell me I have five days to return the items if I did

not want them. The first item on the left is a DC battery cable clamp. The next

item is a cord that plugs into the charge controller. This is a daisy chain

that plugs into all four of the solar panels and then converts down into one

signal. This is the mounting hardware that mounts all the panels together, then

the charge controller itself. It's a 30 amp charge controller, two LED light

bulbs, long cables on them. Those plug directly into the charge controller. And

then lastly the owner's manual Showing you unpackaging the solar panels

themselves. Again just peeling back the tape in case something goes wrong with

them, I could put it all back together and return it. They're not in a box, it's

just a trifold piece of cardboard, but it is more than ample to protect it. I was

happy to see that they had bubble wrap surrounding it to protect during

shipping. And here I'm pointing out the charge light indicator, even in my garage

with a fluorescent light it was acknowledging there was enough light to

activate the panel.

here I'm standing behind the panel. We're gonna show you how the hardware is set

up. Easy to pull out, little more difficult to lock the braces in place,

they're pretty stiff, but I guess that's a good thing in case it encounters some

wind. They're not just gonna fall down. I

didn't measure the angle in which they sit once the stand is set up, but it

appears to be roughly around 30 degrees. And here are all four panels side by

side. I don't have the brackets all attached so that each panel still is

loose. Here's a show of what the bracket looks like as well as the hardware for

it. So you take the bolts, you put them into the top hole that's there, you put

the bracket on the back side, and then there are wing nuts that tighten it all

up. And then the same thing on the bottom. Here's a look from the back side. I did

not unwind all the cords just for sake of

not making a big mess. I wanted to show you how the daisy chain works. Each plug

has a male and female connection so that the male from one plug, plugs into the

female in the other and vice versa. It does take a little bit of wiggling and

pushing to get it in, but again that's a good thing so that they won't

accidentally come out. So you hook it into each one and in the end it comes

down into one signal that also has the male and female plug on the end of it.

There's a small cord that has the same style plug on the end of it, that

comes out of the daisy chain. You plug that in and then the other end of it is

a different style plug that plugs directly into the charge controller.

Here I'm a bit confused because I've got everything hooked up but I have nothing

on the LCD display. I tried pressing some of the buttons to

see if maybe they operated as a power button, but they did not, so I took the

panels and I set them outside so that they were in direct sunlight. And again

nothing on the LCD display and pressing buttons does nothing, so I'm pretty

frustrated at this point and I feel like maybe the charge controller is bad, so

I'm gonna test all of the inputs, make sure that I am getting power to the

charge controller. So I first I'm checking the daisy chain that comes off

of the panel's and you can see there I'm getting twenty four point five volts.

Next I checked the small conversion wire that plugs directly into the charge

controller

and again, twenty four point five volts. The last step is to check the charge

controller itself. So it has several outputs on it. I checked the first output,

I'm getting twenty four point three volts so that makes sense.

Checked another port only getting point seven volts and then check the battery

port, the outputs to the battery and it was getting two point four volts.

I was so frustrated at this point I pulled out the manual and started doing

some reading and it says, "NOTICE: Controller must be connected to a charged

twelve volt lead acid battery to power the display", if I had only read the

manual first. Well I don't have a spare twelve volt battery just laying around

so I decided I'm going to try my car battery. So I'm taking the connectors

here for the cable that has the clamps on the end of it that connect onto the

battery terminals and all you do is you unscrew the screw, you push in the

connectors, and then you screw it back down. So I'm showing you I've got the

wire coming up to my car battery, the cable comes out of the charge controller,

goes into the battery,

hooked up to my terminals, thirteen point one volts...OH...and by the way, did you

see the display? It works! I did find it humorous that both the charge controller

and the multimeter are Harbor Freight and they're reading a little bit

different, but I guess point one isn't too bad of a variance. Now I'm showing

you that I can power up the light bulb. There it is, the light bulb works and

take notice that when I turn the light bulb on the charge controller went

down to twelve point nine volts and when I turn it off it goes back to

thirteen. As a wrap-up summary I guess the most important thing I learned today,

besides that everything is working correctly, is to check the owner's manual

first. I know sometimes we as guys have a problem with that, but it does pay at

times to read through the owner's manual before you do your setup. So the good

news is all six sets seem to be working correctly so all the solar panels, I

checked them all. I know it's not on video but I did check them all and I did

check all the charge controllers as well. I didn't check all the light bulbs,

that's not something that I'm probably gonna be using in the project and I

didn't check the USB ports because that's also something I'm not too

worried about. It's not for my specific application but if that's something

you're worried about then I would suggest checking the light bulbs in the

USB ports just to confirm if they're working, especially if you picked it up

like I did at a sidewalk sale. If you liked this video be sure to click like,

DIY Oscar de la Renta inspired waterfall tassel earrings || Shania DIY - Duration: 5:51.

hey you guys it's me Shania and i'm back again with another video now

today's video is gonna be special because i'm gonna be collaborating with

another youtube creator and her name is Tariro I hope I said it right I'm

sorry if I didn't and she has her own YouTube channel where she basically

specializes in like jewelry and accessories and even some like room

decor things so you guys should definitely head over to her channel

so just check the link in the description box and go check her out

because she's pretty cool in this spring/summer season

2018 something that was really popular on the runway was long statement

earrings like these ones so today I'm gonna be showing you how to make long

tassel statement earrings inspired by Oscar de la Renta so yeah

let's get into it first thing you want to do is you want to draw four

rectangles each rectangle should be 1.75 inches wide and three quarters of an

inch long and then you want to trace a dime and you obviously want four circles

and then just cut out the shapes and you should have this now you're gonna take

some glue I highly recommend this felt glue because it dries really well and

it's super strong then you want to start beading your pieces of felt so it looks

like this since I wasn't able to find a string of white beads I just created my

own string of beads by using needle and thread and putting the beads on the

thread with the help of the needle now you want to put some glue on the

rectangle shape and then just spread it out with a stick and then just apply

your string of beads and I use the sort of zigzag back and forth kind of pattern

to get nice clean rows of the beads

and then you just want to repeat this with all four rectangles so it should

look like this and then you're going to take your two circles and you're going

to do the same thing so just glue down the circle and then apply your string of

beads in a circular pattern and you're only going to do this with two of the

circles so in total you should have six beaded pieces like this so now you're

gonna line up your fringe along the width of your rectangle and you're going

to fold it in half and then you're gonna cut it so you should basically have a

tassel that is the width of the rectangle times two and you'll need two

pieces put aside one of those tassels you're gonna take the beaded rectangle

apply some glue to it then you're gonna take one of those tassels and fold it in

half and glue it to the back of the beaded rectangle then you're gonna apply

some glue to the top layer of the tassel now if you want you can put glue on all

layers of the tassel like right here in between just to get extra support but

you're good if you just put it on the top and then you're just gonna take the

other beaded rectangle and sandwich it on top when you're done you should have

two pieces that look like this just set them aside and give them some time to

dry and once you've let them dry you're just going to hand stitch a sort of back

and forth of zigzag between all layers of the rectangles and the tassels to

make sure that everything is neatly in place and securely in place

then you're gonna take your circle beaded felt and you're gonna flip it

over and you're gonna glue an earring post to it you can use a regular post or

clip-on as you wish and then you're just going to put the clip-on piece on to the

back of the earring then you're gonna take your other circle that's not beaded

and you're gonna sandwich it on top of the metal piece let it dry and then just

sew it all around the circle and you want to make sure that you really get

between each layer when you're sewing so that you know for sure it's gonna be

secure and you're just going to continue this all around the circle until it's

nice and secure so the final step is to connect the circle to the top of the

rectangle the best way to do that is take your needle and stick it through

the center of the rectangle and then through the back of the circle on one

side of the earring post and then again through the front of the circle on the

other side of the earring post and then through the back of the rectangle but in

the center and then you're just going to keep repeating this so again the steps

are once you have your needle in the center of the rectangle you're gonna

stick it through the back of the circle on one side of the post and then you're

going to bring it through the front of the circle on the other side of the post

and then you're going to stick the needle through the back of the rectangle

but in the center alright and just keep going until you feel like it's nice and

secure and when you finish it should look like this

thank you guys so much for watching this video I hope you enjoyed it and remember

to check out Tariro's video on her statement earrings as well okay and show

her some love and tell her that I sent you alright

so until next time I'll see you guys in the next one Ciao!

Dapchi resident claims soldiers fled when Boko Haram insurgents returned schoolgirls - Duration: 3:50.

A resident of Dapchi in Yobe state, Abubakar Mohammed, has said that soldiers at a checkpoint in the town fled when Boko Haram insurgents returned the kidnapped schoolgirls on the morning of Wednesday, March 21, The Cable reports.

we notes that Mohammed accused the military of harassment, saying that after the girls were released residents faced harassment in the hands of the military.

According to him, the soldiers at Dapchi General Hospital where the schoolgirls were taken to, claimed responsibility for their release.

He said: "When Boko Haram came to Dapchi this morning, the military at the checkpoint ran away. They came in nine vehicles Hilux and TATA bus.

The Boko Haram people dropped the girls and spoke to some villagers that they are not terrorists, but that they are preaching Islam. They said they are the only true believers and all Nigerians are unbelievers.

"But now the military are molesting the parents and relatives of the girls who went to visit their wards in the hospital. They are beating some of them claiming they are the ones who rescued the girls.

But the military has no hand in their rescue. The people of Dapchi have lost faith in the military now because they are molesting us. The youths are protesting in Dapchi right now against the military.

"Some of the girls said that Boko Haram did not molest or rape them. They only preached Islam to them, gave them the Hadith. They gave us our food to cook by ourselves.".

Goni Ibrahim, son of the district head of Dapchi, also gave details of the return of the schoolgirls. He said: "Around 12 midnight the people of Gumsa (40 kilometres from Dapchi) called us to say Boko Haram dropped two of their daughters.

"They told us they were coming to Dapchi this morning. So around 7 o'clock this morning, we saw nine vehicles.

Many people were running saying Boko Haram is coming to Dapchi but the vehicles dropped the girls and left. The girls came into the village many weak because of hunger. They said they were in transit in the bush for many days.

"Many of them are now in the General Hospital Dapchi where they are receiving treatment. They are sick because of hunger.

More than 200 soldiers have surrounded the hospital and not allowing anybody in. They are saying they will take some of them to Damaturu or Abuja for treatment because the hospital cannot contain the girls.".

Meanwhile, we previously reported that The Nigerian Army on Wednesday, March 21, handed over 106 abductees to federal government. Those handed over comprised of 104 Daphi schoolgirls, one other girl and a boy who were freed by Boko Haram insurgents.

Maj.-Gen. Rogers Nicholas, the Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, presented the released girls to the minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, at the 105 Air Force Composite Command, Maiduguri.

Book Review | All Systems Red - Duration: 6:41.

Hey! What's up, you guys? It's Connor, and today I'm going to be doing a book review for

All Systems Red by Martha Wells. If you guys don't know, All Systems Read is a

science fiction novella that takes place in a future human civilization where

humans have started to colonize different worlds. Each world is colonized

by a different group, so humans have not come together to colonize. And this takes

place on a planet that doesn't have any colonizing humans on it currently, but it

does have groups of teams that have gone to check out the world and see if it's

something that they would like to bid on to colonize. The main character of

this story is a construct which means that the being is created from organic

and inorganic material. Not a cyborg because I feel like a cyborg is a human

that then collects a lot of inorganic body parts, and it's not an AI system

because an AI system is just a computer. This is some type of organic inorganic

hybrid, but it's its own entity. It's not a mixture of the two. It's not

like it's half human-half robot. It's just a construct. This construct is

called a SecUnit, but this SecUnit is just for security measures. Its job is to

make sure that the team that it's assigned to doesn't die and kill itself.

What's special about this SecUnit in particular is that it hacked its own

governor module. It's able to act on its own volition. It doesn't have to follow

orders if it doesn't want to. This SecUnit refers to itself as Murderbot, and

Murderbot does not care about the people that it's supposed to be

protecting. It mainly just wants to hang out and watch reality TV shows. As usual with

my book reviews, I'm gonna go through my pros, go through my cons, give you my

rating, and be done. My first pro for this book is Murderbot. I loved Murderbot!

I could not help but root for it. It is so funny and so lovable, and I just

could relate to Murderbot so much because I just want to hang out and

consume stories and [because] I don't want to have to deal with people. However, I didn't

really buy Murderbot's I don't care attitude. You can tell that Murderbot

has a lot more depth to it than just "I don't care about humans. I'm watching

these TV shows." It's a little more complicated than that, and I definitely

could relate to Murderbot's social aversion practices though. Anytime that

someone tries to address it, it turns away. It doesn't want people to look at

it. It doesn't want a lot of attention, and I can definitely understand that

because that is basically how I act in law school all the time. I never make eye

contact with my teachers because I don't want them to cold-call on me because

then if I don't answer, I'll look stupid and yeah. So I just keep my head down, and

I write my notes. And I definitely can relate to that aspect of Murderbot. I

really, really enjoyed the team that Murderbot is paired with. I really liked

pretty much every single character. I thought that they were all pretty

interesting and realistic. I thought it was cool that these people had not

interacted with a SecUnit before. Their interactions with Murderbot are a lot

different than what Murderbot has experienced in the past. I just really

enjoyed all the characters. That's actually true for all of Martha Wells's

books that I've read. I've read the Books of Raksua trilogy plus the two short

story collections which are over there, and I've also read Wheel of the infinite.

And I enjoy did the characters in all of those books, so she's very good at making

me care about the character she wants me to care about. I think that the

world-building that we got was really interesting. In this future, humans

have abandoned the concept of monogamy, so there's a lot of polyamorous

relationships - a lot of polyamorous marriages. I think one of the characters

is in a four-way marriage or something like that. We get some bare bones about

what this world is like, and because it's a novella there's not really that much

space for her to have really concretely built the world-building. Like you do get

a little bit of the political setup of this world and how people view AI

systems differently depending on what planet they're from and everything like

that. So we get little tastes of some technology, some political setup, some

social constructs, so I really liked that. I think the potential for the series is

extraordinary. There are four more <text: three more*> novellas that I think are set to come

out throughout the course of 2018. I'm so pumped because this story could go

anywhere. She could take this story anywhere she wanted to, and I would be

just as excited to read that story. The story of this world could really be

taken in any direction as I've said like three times in different ways, so I'm

pumped for it. My last book for this novella which kind of relates to the one

I just talked about is that I absolutely loved

ending of this novella. I thought it made perfect sense. I thought all the

characters acted extremely true to their characterizations. I don't want to go

into details more than that, but I did think that the characterization was very

consistent. And the ending made perfect sense. I definitely recommend this

science fiction mystery adventure story. One neutral is that it took me a lot

longer to read this novella than I expected it to take me. It took me a

couple of days to read it which... It's only 140 pages, and I'd usually be able

to knock that out in like - I don't know - a couple of hours in one sitting. But this

story benefitted from me reading it slowly, and I think that that's the way

to do it. Know going in that it's gonna take you maybe a little bit longer, and

that's okay. Now I'm going to talk about a couple of

cons that I had. I guess it's really one con that has a couple of little twigs

off of it, but the world-building was very incomplete as I said before. It

makes sense because it's not a full novel, but I did want more world-building

in this. I think that you could also blame the lack of specific world

building on the main character not caring to be very observant of the

things around it. But even though Murderbot doesn't care about the things around

it, that doesn't mean that I don't care to know about the things around it. So I

still want to know what things look like. I want to know the science of this world.

I want to know how different groups of people interact with each other outside

of this one group of people that Murderbot is attached to, but you don't really

get a lot of those answers. And I think you'll probably get them in the future

of the series, but I want them now. And that whole world building thing bleeds

into a lot of different areas. Like, I want to know why people are still

speaking the way that they are. I want to know more about this colonization

process and how that all works. I kept having all these questions, but

there were no answers. Overall, I really really enjoyed this novella. I ended up

giving it four stars. I absolutely recommend it. It was so much fun. I think

that the fun factor of this novella just brings it up a notch.

Check out All Systems Red by Martha Wells, and then check out the Books of

Raksura. So that's gonna be my review of All Systems Red by Martha Wells. If

you liked it, please give it a big thumbs up and comment down below if you've read

this novella before. Are you interested in reading it now? If you've read

anything similar that you'd recommend, leave that down in the comments, and I

will to you guys next time. Bye! <finger gun and clicking noise>
