Youtube daily report w Mar 16 2018

Nothing's more relaxing than a long soak in warm water following a tough day at the

office.

Foam up some bubble bath, select a favorite playlist, and simply let the hot water massage

away all those fears and woes.

But what would happen if we simply stayed put right there in the bathtub and didn't

budge?

Is there a period of time when winding down gets dangerous?

How long is too long when it comes to taking a bath?

Today we'll find out, in this episode of Infographics show, What Would Happen to Your

Body if You Lived in the Bathtub?

First up, let's note with caution that heat and water aren't always our best bed fellows.

In 2010, at the world Sauna Championships (yes such a tournament does exist), one of

the finalists, Vladimir Ladyzhensiy died tragically of burns while competing with veteran rival

Timo Kaukonen.

"The temperature and the duration aren't the worst parts; it's the humidity with

0.5 litres of water tossed on the hot stones every 30 seconds," said fellow Finnish sauna

champion competitor after the event.

While no record seems to exist for length of time inside a bathtub, we do know that

staying in the tub for more than a day would certainly make you wrinkly.

Most people think that this wrinkly condition is because the body is simply absorbing too

much water.

But this is not really the case - the wrinkly skin phenomenon is actually our body trying

to find a way to improve a grip in these new slippery aquatic conditions.

In 2002, Tim Yarrow spent 10 days submerged in a small tank of water in a Johannesburg

shopping mall.

Yarrow beat a previous world record set in 1986 and had to sleep, eat and even use the

bathroom all underwater.

After the ordeal Yarrow had hands that looked like they belonged to a 200 year old, and

images of his wrinkly record-breaking hands subsequently went viral on the internet.

Jerry Hall from Tennessee set the world record for the longest scuba dive, spending more

than six days living on a platform 15 feet below the surface of South Holston Lake.

He clocked up a total of 145 hours underwater and when he finally surfaced, his hands and

feet were extremely shriveled.

"I got cold and I don't like to be cold," Hall said when back ashore.

"I'm hungry too.

I'm ready to eat," he added.

Hall wasn't short for entertainment as he had an underwater TV where he watched his

favorite movies including "Planet of the Apes," "True Grit", and "Fast and

Furious."

He also listened to music and played checkers with visiting divers.

In China, the government has been accused of taking political prisoners and leaving

them submerged in water in a practice known as Chinese water torture.

This Chinese water torture renders the victims unable to stand or have use of their limbs

after immersion in water for a period of just a few days - suggesting once again that spending

too much time in the bathtub might not be an altogether great idea.

But just what do we know of the science behind the dangers of staying in the bathtub long

after the cows have come home?

Dr. Fromowitz spoke with the Digg editorial team in an article on the subject.

"In essence, prolonged immersion in water supersaturates the skin and leads to skin

breakdown," he said, "you will literally, waste away hanging out in the tub."

But this would all take a little time.

You would have, to be fair, about two days in the bathtub before you'd form vesicles

– that's bubbles between the layers of skin - and following the onset of vesicles,

your skin would slowly begin to separate until it began to actually peel away from itself

like that of a banana.

While the skin is peeling away, you would become subject to infection not just from

that two-day-old water that by this point would have become a tepid stew of your own

porous excretions, but also from the air around.

After maybe a week, you'd be in a state of infection, peeling, bleeding, and you might

be dead - if not from the infections and sores brought on by the inevitable exposure - then

from blood clots that have built up and are preventing oxygen from flowing through the

body, leaving you in no wonder as to why the Chinese use this method for torture.

So be careful while you bathe, and try to cut that me time down to an hour at the most,

as it is certainly true in this case that one can have too much of a good thing when

it comes to laying in the tub.

So, what's the longest you've ever spent in the bathtub?

Let us know in the comments.

With 1888 HP, the Rimac C Two Puts Croatia on the Supercar Map - Duration: 4:56.

Let's get the big digits out of the way: Rimac claims

the C_Two, the follow-up to the Concept_One supercar, will have 1888 horsepower, 1696

lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 258 mph.

We're told it also can bolt from zero to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds, cover a quarter-mile

in 9.1 seconds, and can travel 404 miles on a charge (on the New European Driving Cycle).

The most recent Concept_One boasted 1207 horsepower, 1180 lb-ft of torque, a 221-mph top speed,

a zero-to-60-mph time of 2.4 seconds, and 205 miles of range.

So it's obvious the Croatian company has been hard at work, but there's a much smaller

number with just as much importance: 150, which is the number of cars Rimac hopes to

build for actual customers.

If the Concept_One was just a demo, the C_Two is the debut single.

The C_Two made its debut at the Geneva auto show.

The car was built from the ground up just outside Zagreb, Croatia.

The design, which also was done in house, takes an evolutionary approach but has a new

level of polish that makes it seem like a new car.

It maintains the concept's key distinguishing features, such as the body-length side pocket

and the shape of the headlights (which now have 58 LEDs), but also adds new elements

such as dihedral doors, an advanced rear wing, and aerodynamic wheels that one might expect

to see on a hybrid.Rimac bills the C_Two as a grand-touring hypercar that is meant to

blend track capability with comfortable road manners.

Part of this dual personality is the ability to shift the car's aerodynamic profile to

enhance handling or efficiency.

In Low-Drag mode, the C_Two has a claimed drag coefficient of 0.28.

There are active aero flaps in the hood, the front splitter, and the rear diffuser; the

articulating rear wing can act as an active air brake; and the car's underside is completely

smooth and flat.

Structurally, the C_Two utilizes a carbon-fiber tub with a rear substructure and roof, both

of carbon fiber, bonded to it.

Its body is 100 percent carbon fiber, too.

The 120.0-kWh battery pack, which is a stressed element of the structure, has 6960 liquid-cooled

lithium-ion cells.

That pack feeds four permanent-magnet, oil-cooled electric motors, one for each wheel.

The front wheels are driven by independent direct-drive gearboxes, while the rears employ

two-speed boxes, required no doubt to achieve the Vmax that Rimac claims.

Independent motors for each wheel grant the C_Two all-wheel torque vectoring (R-AWTV),

and a dial inside the cabin can control the torque bias in 10 percent increments. The R-AWTV

is just one of numerous advanced systems aboard the C_Two.

The car also has facial recognition instead of a key, a laptop- or smartphone-accessible

machine-to-machine (M2M) system that can beam 500 channels of telementry to a laptop or

smartphone, a driving-coach feature that can instruct how to drive on different tracks,

and semi-autonomous safety features delivering autonomy up to Level 4.

The C_Two is equipped with eight cameras, lidar, six radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors.Inside,

much of this tech is displayed via one of six screens, with three of those being high-definition

TFT displays.

Three are integrated into dials (all switchgear is made of billet aluminum), while another

in front of the passenger displays information such as speed, drive mode, and range.

As indicated in the name, the C_Two drops the concept feel of the company's first

supercar and offers a much more complete package—and a monster one at that.

The company claims the car can be sold globally; we'll see whether Rimac can make the next

leap, from concept car to production ready to actual sales.

crustaceans as lobsters and a great variety of other underwater species.

in another section we see the ponds where they rehabilitate the turtles, and a sign of the

name they put, the species and the problem they present, these ponds allow

Don't Shame Your Users Into Converting - Duration: 3:43.

[Kim] Hello, I'm Kim Flaherty, [Kate] And I'm Kate Meyer.

We're UX specialists at Nielsen Norman Group.

[Kim] We've seen some problematic trends gaining popularity on the web lately.

Designers are mistakenly bullying or harassing their users in the hopes of influencing their behavior.

[Kate] There are two of these patterns in particular that we're concerned about.

We're calling them "manipulinks" and "please-don't-go pop-ups."

[Kim] A manipulink usually appears in a modal overlay-- for example, a pop-up-- asking the user to sign up

for the site's newsletter. The acceptance link, "show me the deals,"

for example, is generally bigger, brighter, and more noticeable.

Then, the rejection link which is the manipulink, is some variety of

undesirable statement about the user's personality or priorities. For example,

"No thanks, I don't like deals."

[Kate] This manipulative link is meant to bully users into selecting the option that benefits the company.

The pattern is problematic because designers are intentionally trying to connect a users

rejection of their offer to a negative self-image.

So imagine if people did this face-to-face. Here's what it might look like.

[Cashier Kate] Hi, did you find everything you were looking for today?

[Customer Kim] I did, thank you. [Cashier Kate] Will this be it for you?

[Customer Kim] That's it today. [Cashier Kate] Okay, did you want to sign up for a

newsletter so you can stay up to date on our sales? Or do you hate saving money?

[Customer Kim] Well, I like to save money but I just don't need your newsletter, thank you.

[Kim] Manipulinks are just blatant attempts to bully users into doing what the company wants them to do,

regardless if it's what the user wants.

Another related pattern is the "please-don't-go pop-up." [Kate] These are often also called exit intent pop-ups.

When a user moves their cursor towards the top of a browser on a desktop site,

a pop-up is triggered. They often have messages like "Before you go,"

or, "Don't miss!"

[Kim] The idea behind this pattern is that if the user moves their mouse to the top of the page,

it means that they're going to leave the site or close the tab and go to a competitor's site.

But the problem with that assumption is that ignores the fact that many users

often open several tabs at once and move between them.

[Kate] So a please-don't-go pop-up can't actually tell if a user is really leaving the site, or they're just moving

to another tab, but then they're planning to come back. And sometimes these pop-ups get triggered when

an engaged user is simply moving up to the navigation or the utility menu.

[Kim] Again, this is behavior that would not be acceptable in face-to-face interactions.

[Cashier Kate] Okay, here you go! [Customer Kim] Thank you!

[Cashier Kate] Wait! Before you go... have you seen our new boots?

[Kate] We refer to manipulinks and please-don't-go pop-ups as needy patterns,

because they're obvious desperate attempts to get a user's attention or to push them towards conversion.

Proponents of these patterns say that they work because those people see higher newsletter signups,

or things like longer average time on a page in their analytics data.

[Kim] But who cares if you've got a few extra newsletter signups

if you had to bully or goad people into signing up, and they didn't really want to.

These approaches might give you some short-term gains in increased micro-conversions,

but that's happening at the expense of long-term losses: degrading your relationship with your users

isn't worth a few extra clicks.

[Kate] As we've demonstrated here, the real-world equivalents of these patterns are awkward

and unacceptable. Remember that every interface is the medium of

a conversation that you're having with your users. If it would be rude to say it in person,

it's rude to say it in copy.

Don't be literal - Duration: 1:01.

It's not just about listening and drawing exactly what you're hearing. People don't

want to read just the same things someone is saying. Someone is talking

about "people" and you draw people, a group is discussing about "globalization"

and you draw a globe, someone is talking about "growth" and you draw an arrow going up?

No. They are expecting you to do much more than that. It's not just drawing a

simple icon that represents the same word of the topic they are discussing.

That's why you should master "visual metaphors" and buy metaphors I don't mean

classic cliché: "lightbulb", "globe", "arrow", "magnifier", " hourglass". Your maps should

create an impact in the minds of your audience. So don't be literal when you're

drawing. Play. Great metaphors come from your capacity to be foolish.

Ariana Grande Didn't Always Look Like This - Duration: 4:17.

A performer since birth, Ariana Grande has always had a serious passion for singing.

And at just 24 years old, the Billboard chart-topping, Grammy-nominated artist has already solidified

her place in music history.

From Nickelodeon, to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, we're looking back at just how

Grande transformed from tiny baby, to megawatt super star.

"Should I just do it?

Should I just jump right in?

Alright."

Baby steps

Grande was born in Boca Raton, Florida on June 26, 1993 — and did what any little

sister might do: she copied her brother.

Grande told The Telegraph,

"I adored and worshipped my brother, Frankie [...] everything he did was cool…

He's 10 years older than me…

Once Frankie got into acting in musical theatre and dancing, I was like, OK, I guess that's

the cool thing now."

The sibs can still be found palling around, and jet-setting around the globe.

The acting bug bites

Following in her brother's footsteps, Grande joined her local community theater and at

the age of 8 won the lead in Annie.

Grande's mom wanted to be there with her daughter at rehearsals, but parents were only allowed

to be in the room if they were in the show.

Grande told The Telegraph her mom auditioned for a part, saying,

"My mom is a CEO, she has her own companies, her own full schedule […] She was Daddy

Warbucks' maid […] She was like, 'I have no idea what I'm doing right now […] but

anything for my daughter.'"

"To be able to participate in the show, as Ariana's mother, the time that I've spent

with her… you can never imagine how wonderful it's been."

Grande later went on to land a role in Nickelodeon's Victorious in 2010.

"One time when I seven I was at the beach, and I made a sand castle and I called it Cat's

castle.

True story."

And from that, she spun-off her character, Cat Valentine, on Sam & Cat.

But in 2014 when the show wrapped, Grande was ready for something new.

"Yeah, I definitely started on Nickelodeon being very, very silly."

At the time, the 21-year-old posted to Facebook,

"I want to thank (series creator) Dan Schneider for allowing me to play such a special, beautiful

character...I will always hold Cat near and dear to my heart and appreciate her help in

my personal growth from teenager to adult."

Passion for fashion

Grande is known not only for her pipes, but for her style as well.

And her signature look is inspired by two very important people in her life…sort of.

She told Byrdie,

"I remember being like, 'I wanna look like a mix of my mom and Scary Spice.'

I remember saying those words when I was a little girl — that was the goal, when I

was, like, 4."

While most fans are familiar with Scary Spice, Grande described her mom's style, saying,

"My mom is fly […] My whole life, she's always worn custom-made, black, tailored outfits...And

she adds a pop of color on her lip.

She has this blue lipstick I was really stoked on."

Trying to be herself

One common critique of Grande's music is that her content can be appear mature beyond her

age.

The pop star defended herself, telling Cosmo in 2017,

"I've taken baby steps in expressing my sexuality in my imagery [...] I don't think that makes

me any less of a role model.

I think that it makes me honest!"

She also addressed the stereotype and its negative effects, telling the mag,

"I'm a good person—and I have a cute booty [...] I feel bad for girls who go to school

with a short skirt and are told that they're asking for it just because they like [to show]

their legs."

Shoutout to her fans

As Grande slays stage after stage, she continues to discover more about herself and to honor

her true passions.

"It took me a while to come into my own.

To be unafraid to be myself."

And this is advice she wants her fans to follow too.

The singer told Byrdie,

"Being yourself is one of the coolest things that you can do.

As hard as it may be to get there, once you find that comfort, run with it."

And not only does she talk the talk, she walks the walk, saying,

"S---, you don't like my ponytail?

I'm gonna have it two times bigger tomorrow, and higher, tighter, more hair in there too!

[…]S---, I'll crimp it!

You ain't seen a crimp like this in 20 years!"

But for Grande, it always comes back to her fans, who she truly hopes to inspire through

her music, and her life.

She said,

"My fans, I just really want them to feel empowered by who they are, and to not be afraid

of it…

Embrace it — then run with it."

Staffers Describe White House As "Most Toxic Working Environment On The Planet" - Duration: 3:23.

According to a recent report in Axios, White House staffers are longing for the days when

things in the White House were just bad because apparently now things in the White House are

absolutely unbearable. Between the resignations, the firings and of course the ongoing investigations

into the administration, White House staffers have now described the atmosphere inside of

the White House as the most toxic working environment on the planet. Working in Trump's

White House, according to the people who work there, is more toxic both physically, emotionally

than any other working environment that they could imagine.

Some of the staffers told Axios that usually tough times like they're going through right

now bring people together, and they band together and work through it. But in this particular

instance with the Trump White House, they say that instead it's ripping everybody apart.

Nobody is getting along with anybody else. Everybody is fighting. Trump is super pissed

all the time. John Kelly is pissed all the time and clearly wants out. H. R. McMaster,

the National Security Advisor, may be trying to get out or may be fired or he may quit.

They don't know. It's basically just a big ball of tension and everybody is super pissed

at one another because nobody has any idea what's going on.

Now, a lot of people could probably say that sounds exactly like everybody predicted it

would be when you take some yokel off the street like Donald Trump and suddenly make

him president even though he knows nothing about West Wing politics here in the United

States.

I want to have a little sympathy for these staffers but, again, we could have all completely

predicted this. In fact, I think most of us did. Not to mention the fact that these White

House staffers could simply leave. If it's that bad, if it's that toxic, take the hit

and quit. According to recent reports, a lot of these staffers are already trying to find

other jobs but they're unable to because nobody wants to hire anybody that worked in Donald

Trump's administration. Working in there is basically akin to having a Scarlet Letter

tattooed on you, a big T, saying that you worked for Trump and now nobody wants anything

to do with you.

I do feel for the staffers on that particular side because they can't find work anywhere

else. But if that's the case, leave DC. Get out of politics. Clearly you've had enough

of it anyway and it's not going to get any better than it is right now so maybe it's

time to find a new career. I'm not saying that to be mean to these people. I'm actually

saying it to try to help. It's time to leave this toxic relationship that you have found

yourself in. Gather the strength and get the hell out of there and then sit back like the

rest of the country and watch as it implodes except you won't be watching from the inside,

you'll be watching with the rest of us.

Versace Bids Farewell to Fur: "I Don't Want to Kill Animals to Make Fashion" - Duration: 1:25.

Versace Bids Farewell to Fur: "I Don't Want to Kill Animals to Make Fashion"

At Versace, fur has reached its finale.  The 40-year-old Italian luxury brand revealed it is ditching fur designs—a longtime element of the brands aesthetic—for good in the name of people and the planet. Fur? I am out of that, Artistic Director Donatella Versace told The Economist. I dont want to kill animals to make fashion. According to the companys announcement, this decision was spurred by a broader plan for Versace to take a more sustainable, conscious and environment-savvy approach moving forward.

As an example, this plan is reflected in a new London boutique that is LEED certified; upcoming stores in Miami and Munich will be the same.

Sustainability is a core part of the brands journey into the future and Versace is constantly looking at all aspects of its business model to serve customers in an innovative, disruptive and responsible way, a statement read.

This includes paying close attention to the provenance and conditions under which all its products are produced and sourced to ensure adherence to the highest standards. The change will be reflected in the 2019 collections and onward.

Versace follows fellow Italian brands like Giorgio Armani and Gucci who have also made the decision as of late to ban fur in the future.  Fur products already represent a minor part of the Versaces product line, CEO Jonathan Akeroyd said in a statement. .

This commitment is part of a broader, sustainable innovation program the Company is pursuing, that includes not only a strong commitment to work across our entire supply chain, but also a strong and deep cultural shift that will benefit all employees.

Top 10 Alternate Black Panther Suits - Duration: 5:21.

Hey guys!

Welcome back to Top 10 Nerd, I'm Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey.

Kelly did a video on the Alternate Versions of Black Panther a few days back.

We'll link it here if you haven't seen it already.

But today I'll focus solely on T'Chala from good ol' Earth 616, and go over some

of the different costumes he's had over the years.

Have they changed a ton?

Not really.

But if you're looking to delve deeply into the world of Black Panther, this video will

help get you up to date.

If you finish this and want more, check out Kelly's video on the Top 10 Superhero Techs

next!

It's a winner.

But first, get ready, it's time for the Top 10 Alternate Black Panther Suits!

Number 10: The First Planned Design.

Originally, the plan was to give T'Challa a half mask.

Well, originally he was supposed to be coal tiger, but you all know that if you watched

Kelly's Alternate Versions video.

But his original Black Panther design had him with his mouth showing, being more similar

to other heroes at the time.

However, Stan Lee made a last minute decision to fully cover his face, and I am totally

behind that decision.

This look did eventually make it into the comics, but you'll have to stay tuned to

number 7 for more on that!

Number 9: The Original Design.

This is the design that they ended up going with when he was first revealed in Fantastic

Four #52 in 1966.

It was an all black bodysuit not unlike batman's, even with a billowing black cape, but with

the aforementioned covered mouth.

Covering the mouth was a great call, it really gave him more originality, and made him look

a lot more intimidating and… pantherish.

Number 8: Classic Design.

The next time we saw Black Panther after his two issue debut was in Fantastic 4 Annual

#5 in 1967, and it seems Edna Mode managed to make him see reason, because the cape was

gone.

This sleek, capeless design would remain for decades, only changing for a very short time

when he joined the Avengers.

Speaking of which…

Number 7: The Avenger Look.

At the start of Black Panther's time in The Avengers in 1968, it seems artist John

Buscema (bew-semma) missed the meeting where they decided the half mask looked dumb, because

the first 4 issues saw a half-masked Black Panther.

However, he got the memo pretty quickly and changed it back, and Black Panther returned

to the classic look, which he would keep right up until the end of the 20th century.

He kinda saw a drop in popularity for a while… and then Marvel Knights came along…

Number 6: Marvel Knights.

Marvel Knights was huge for Black Panther, and a part of the resurgence in popularity

was the awesome change to his looks.

Thanks to artist Mark Texeira, his new suit in 1998's Black Panther Volume 3 brought

back the cape, and added a bunch of gold to the outfit.

They literally pimped him out, and it worked.

The whole series written by Christopher Priest, the first black writer hired to Marvel or

DC, was super well-received.

Probably the most important part of this costume change was that it was the first suit to have

the vibranium woven into the fibres, something that has since become a staple.

Nice.

Number 5: Post-Knight Suits.

When Marvel Knights Black Panther transitioned into the main Marvel Universe, new artist

Sal Velluto made a few changes to T'Challa's suit.

He made the gold markings toothier, something that I personally think looks really cool.

The series alternated between a caped version of the suit, and a version with no cape.

As time went on, the no-cape look became more and more prevalent, until it became the norm.

But then he joined the Avengers again, and things changed once again.

Number 4: Avenger Once Again.

When T'Challa rejoined the Avengers in Avengers #66 from 2003, he saw yet another costume

change.

The gold stylings remained, still looking pretty toothie with subtle alterations, he

again had the striped gloves and boots, and most importantly, the cape was back.

Cue the Incredibles reference…

Although to be fair, the cape was a lot shorter than it used to be.

I think the short cape looks lame, but that's just my opinion.

Other than the cape, this is probably my favourite of his suits.

Number 3: Man Without Fear.

While Daredevil was possessed by the Beast of the Hand in the Shadowland story arc, he

did a bunch of stuff he didn't like, that led him to pass the Daredevil mantle onto

T'Challa.

Artist Francesco Francavilla reimagined his costume with more of a SWAT look, similar

to Daredevil's costume in the Netflix series.

Not my favourite, but it was a cool change!

Number 2: Marvel NOW.

Daredevil did eventually come back, which saw Black Panther return to a classic mantle,

with a more classic look.

The suit was made to look much more simple, with just a stylized necklace for decoration,

but the colour changed from gold to silver which made a surprisingly large difference.

And, of course, this version had no cape.

NO!

Stop it.

Sometimes capes are okay.

I'm tired of you.

Number 1: The Black Panther Movie.

The live action films saw a pretty wicked version of Black Panther.

Civil War saw him with a very sleek costume with silver accessories, and by far the coolest

mask he's ever had.

Then in his own movie, his suit was upgraded by Shuri, with slightly simplified add-ons

and textures, and a more feline-looking mask.

I'm not sure which I prefer, but I kinda like the Civil War version a bit better.

Just a bit.

That's it for today!

Hope you guys enjoyed, if you did please smack that thumbs up button and subscribe to Top

10 Nerd for more videos!

Let me know which outfit is your favourite in the comment section down below!

And use #cape or #nocape so we can figure out what the nerd squad prefers!

I'm completely on the fence with it, the cape looks awesome but he looks so much more

sleek and pantherish without it.

out our Top 10 Alternate Versions playlist on the channel!

Deployed Sailor Can't Wait To See Family, Then He Notices A Strange 'Bump' - Duration: 3:14.

Deployed Sailor Can't Wait To See Family, Then He Notices A Strange 'Bump'

When you're pregnant, usually one of the first things you want to do is tell your husband

or partner and rejoice in the good news together!

Lots of moms come up with cute and creative ways to break the big news to make the announcement

even more special.

But when Temecula, California, mom Natasha Daugherty learned she was expecting again,

she decided to keep her pregnancy a secret…from her husband!

You see, Natasha and her husband, Chris Daugherty, met when they were both in the Navy together

and have been married for six years.

Chris still has to go out on fairly regular deployments, which can be difficult for the

family, but it has just become a part of their lives.

Chris had only been on his most recent deployment for one week when Natasha found out she was

pregnant with their fourth child.

She couldn't wait to tell him, but she wanted to do it in a special way and not just over

email.

"When I found out I was pregnant I knew he would be so incredibly excited and I wanted

my reveal to him to be memorable and exciting," she said.

That's when she came up with an idea that some people might find a little crazy – she

decided to keep her pregnancy a secret and surprise Chris when he returned home.

Keeping the big news from Chris wasn't easy!

When Natasha sent him pictures of the family she would come up with clever ways to hide

her belly so as not to give it away.

Natasha also worried about something happening to Chris and him never knowing about his child.

When the Navy extended Chris' deployment by a month so his ship could anchor the carrier

strike group that was being used to show a massive show of force off the coast of North

Korea, Natasha debated breaking the news to him.

"I got emotional about it and I was wondering, 'Should I tell him?

Would I feel guilty if something happens and he doesn't know?'" she recalled.

Ultimately, though, she decided to keep the baby a surprise, and all of the secrecy paid

off when she and her family went to welcome Chris home.

As Chris hugged and kissed their kids, Natasha stood back holding a sign in front of her

that read, "Welcome home baby daddy."

When Chris walked toward her, Natasha asked him, "Do you like my sign?" and then whipped

it away to reveal her large baby bump.

It took a minute for Chris to wrap his mind around what was going on.

"Is that real?" he asked his wife as he hesitantly poked her stomach.

"I actually poked her belly because I wasn't sure if she was playing a trick on me or not,"

Chris laughed later.

"Clearly, she was not."

Chris can't believe Natasha managed to keep the baby a secret from him for so long, but

he is overjoyed at the new addition to their family.

The baby – a little girl – is due in August.

Thankfully Chris doesn't deploy again until January, so he will get to be there for the

birth and soak up some precious time with his new daughter before he has to leave.

Did you love Natasha's big surprise for Chris as much as we did?

Officer Tells Woman To Open Trunk Because Lights Are Out, Doesn't Realize She's Recording

His Actions

Chy-Niece was on her way to a job interview when the unthinkable happened!

She was on a busy roadway, then out nowhere came the red and blue flashing lights.

She wasn't speeding and signaled for every turn - what could this be about?

After gathering her documents, Chy-Niece rolled down her window to speak with the officer.

What he said next is going viral for all of the right reasons...

Instead of snapping at her, Officer Jenkins politely informed Chy-Niece that both taillights

were out.

The last thing she needed was a hefty fine on top of having to fix the broken lights.

That's when Officer Jenkins did something that blew Chy-Niece away.

She shared what happened next on her Facebook page:

"So this happened just now.

I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled [over].

Both brake lights decided to go out this time.

As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said..."

"'Don't worry about pulling anything out.

I just want you to know that your brake lights are out.'

So I'm immediately upset because I just got them replaced like last month.

So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the

wiring of the car.

He looked at me like [he knew it was crazy] and told me to pop the trunk.

He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on.

So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check

the other one.

He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role

and into a mechanic role to make sure I was [good to go].

The Most Scandalous Tell Alls Ever Released - Duration: 5:33.

Getting a peek behind the veil of some of pop culture's most fascinating circles is

always intriguing.

But there are some tell-all stories that prove to be so controversial it changes everything

we know about the rich and famous.

Here are a few tell-all books, that were so scandalous that they completely altered the

way people thought about their subjects.

Confessions of a Video Vixen

Anyone who lived through the '90s knows how big the hip-hop scene was.

It wasn't just about the music; it was also about the lifestyle.

The world couldn't get enough, and when dancer Karrine "Superhead" Steffans wrote her behind-the-scenes

tell-all, the world couldn't get enough of that, either.

But Confessions of a Video Vixen wasn't entirely what people were expecting.

Sure, there were all kinds of juicy bits involving some of hip-hop's biggest names, including

Jay-Z and Dr. Dre, but it went to some dark places, too.

Her book — and her follow-up books — have focused not on the R-rated fun, but on the

industry's abusive atmosphere.

When she talked to the Huffington Post in 2015, she said the cycle of abuse in her life

started in her childhood and spiraled out of control.

She talked openly about self-harm, the cult of celebrity, manipulation, coercion, and

what she learned about relationships.

That revelation branded her one of the most controversial authors on the New York Times

bestseller list, but Steffans has no regrets.

Diana: Her True Story in Her Own Words

The British are obsessed with their royals, but there was something about Princess Diana

that captured the attentions of the entire world.

The book Diana: Her True Story in Her Own Words promised a lot in its title, and it

delivered.

Author Andrew Morton knew Diana but did his research in secret.

They used an intermediary who asked her questions, then passed her recorded responses on to Morton.

"Well there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded."

When the book hit the shelves, it wasn't glamorous.

It was a story of loneliness, thoughts of self-harm, and a woman heartbroken over her

husband's affair.

There was paranoia, too, and Morton wrote that Diana was constantly worried about "the

men in gray," shady figures linked to British security agencies.

At first, it was assumed the source of these personal details was various friends, family,

and other insiders.

It was only after Diana's tragic death that Morton decided to re-issue the book, along

with transcripts of the tapes she'd sent him, which shocked the world again.

Morton had been called a liar of the worst kind, been vilified and resented, and subjected

to some serious hate.

It wasn't until the tapes came out that everyone realized that these really were her own, heartbreaking

words.

Going Clear

Scientologists are free to be as weird as they want to, since they fall under religious

freedom protections.

But in 2013, Lawrence Wright kicked open the doors and published Going Clear, a tell-all

book about the organization that went on to be adapted into an HBO documentary.

He hit on everything, from the group's billion-year contracts and the fundamental writings of

L. Ron Hubbard to David Miscavige 's continuing work.

The book's influence meant all kinds of fingers were being pointed at Tom Cruise and John

Travolta because, as Scientology figureheads, their silence about the abuses coming to light

was unacceptable.

"If I was to join your cult, would I get…"

"We are not a cult.

We are a church."

"Same thing."

Cruise and Travolta didn't immediately jump ship, of course, but Going Clear did help

lead the way in exposing every oddity going on behind the closed doors in Scientology.

Then, Leah Remini piled on with her own tell-all series, further exposing Scientology for its

shady practices.

If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer

If you want to talk about an ill-advised tell-all, look no further than OJ Simpson's If I Did

It: Confessions of the Killer.

Canceled in 2006 and finally published in 2007, the book was met with national furor,

more than a decade after Simpson's acquittal for the brutal slayings of Nicole Brown Simpson

and Ron Goldman.

It described exactly what you'd expect from the title.

If he'd done it … this was why, and what "happened."

The book describes a nightmarish relationship and cast OJ Simpson as the victim.

He even wrote how, when an imaginary friend named Charlie spilled the beans about a hard-partying

Nicole, Simpson gloved up and went over to the house with only one thing on his mind.

Is it any wonder that this one was one of the most controversial, scandalous books to

hit the shelves in the 2000s?

Reviewers largely agreed that there was essentially no way someone could walk away from this one

thinking he was innocent, and even if he was, why revisit such a macabre incident at all?

What's the point?

Perhaps he just wanted to be back in the spotlight again.

LaToya: Growing Up in the Jackson Family

The Jackson family has always fascinated the public, from the earliest days of the Jackson

5.

But it wasn't until LaToya Jackson released LaToya: Growing Up in the Jackson Family that

the world realized the full extent of the damage done by success and a father who relentlessly

drove his children in the direction he wanted them to go.

In the book, she writes about how abusive he was, physically and emotionally.

She told the Chicago Tribune that her parents' refusal to meet with her and her siblings

and discuss what happened ultimately pushed her to write the book, as her way of moving

on and starting to repair the damage that was done.

"I wish that my heart could speak to your heart, if hearts could speak to each other

without us verbally speaking."

Since the shocking allegations in the first book, she's written several more, including

Starting Over.

That one shocked, too, as she detailed her escape from one abusive situation and her

involvement in another, with manager and ex-husband Jack Gordon.

Before these stories were released, it might've seemed like a turn of fortune to grow up Jackson,

but now the world knows otherwise.

Chrxstal - Broken Wing - Duration: 3:39.

My friends want to know how I've been

How's life? How are things going?

Well, I've been tending to this broken wing

I'm stuck I can't get going

Are you gonna be forever blue?

Oh dear, I fear we're getting sick of you

I said I can't go on without a meaning

My heartbeat's bringing, it's weighing me down

Weighing me down

Weighing me down

It's weighing me down

Weighing me down

Honey, you're a bad ass bitch

Girl you better get this money

I said, "Baby don't you know I know it"

All this talk is so damn funny

Meanwhile we're all drowning Small talk and awkward silence

I wish you'd let me handle your heart

I don't mind the blood on the floor

It's pretty, adds color, around it here it can get really dark

I'll patch up your broken wing

Sweetheart, let me see the fracture

I've always had a weak spot for broken things

But if I do you, you gotta do me after

Don't let it weigh me down

Don't let it weigh me down

Don't let it weigh me down

Promise we'll fly

Promise we'll fly

Don't let it weigh me down (promise we'll fly)

Don't let it weigh me down (promise we'll fly)

Don't let it weigh me down
