(Singing) I know my God has made the way for
me. I know my God has made the way for me.
ANNOUNCER: God's will is that you walk in
health and healing. Join Kenneth Copeland on the
Believer's Voice of Victory as he teaches you how to receive
healing from Jesus as you stand on His
Word. Now with today's message, here is Kenneth.
KENNETH: Hello, everybody. I'm Kenneth Copeland. This
is the Believer's Voice of Victory broadcast.
Father, we do thank You and worship You today. My,
how exciting that message and broadcast--thank You for what
you dropped in my heart yesterday. We had such a good
time. And today we'll have even a stronger and better time as we
watch You heal the people. And we thank You for it in Jesus'
name. Amen. We are studying the healings of Jesus. Now, Matthew,
Mark, Luke, and John, of course, there were--John said, "If
the--if we told everything that He did, the books wouldn't hold
it. The world wouldn't hold the books." There are 19 specific
healings that the Holy Spirit, on purpose, put in the New
Testament to teach us and show us how to receive from Jesus.
Amen. And you will notice, in most of them, faith is
specifically mentioned. And where faith isn't specifically
mentioned, it is inferred. Now, there are--there are several
more, of course, in the book of Acts. But for right now, we're
looking at the healings of Jesus. And however the Spirit of
God leads us, that's what we'll do concerning the book of Acts.
We'll go there sometime, but I haven't heard from heaven yet,
so I don't know whether we're going there in this particular
study or not. Let's go to the book of Hebrews, Chapter 13,
please. In the 8th verse, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday,
today, and forever." One of the--well, I would say, in my
experience, and the things that I've learned through other very
knowledgeable men like Kenneth Hagin and Keith Moore, who spent
17 years in healing school there at Rhema with Brother Hagin, and
men like Creflo Dollar and Jerry Savelle and Jesse Duplantis
and--and others that I know personally and well and--and
discussions that have come forth over the years, one of
the--maybe the--the major reason for people failing to receive
healing--I mean, getting--get in one healing line right after
another, good people lay hands and they walk off sick. Why?
"Well--" Now, here it comes. Here it comes, "I guess it just
wasn't God's will to heal me." That is a lie. I don't mind
telling you it's not the truth. If that was so, you would find
it in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts. You would find it in the
ministry and writings of the Apostle Paul. You would find it
somewhere in the New Testament. You don't even find it in the
Old Testament. Why? It isn't there. Jesus Christ, the
same--say it, "He is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
Turn with me to the book of James. It's just one book to the
right, there. Let's--Verse 13 of the 1st chapter, "Let no man say
when he is tempted--" Now, who is James? Let's clear up
something here. Who is James? He's the half-brother of Jesus.
He was raised in the household with Jesus. Jesus and James had
the same mother. Joseph was James' father, and God was
Jesus' father. All right? "Let no man say when he is tempted--"
the word "tempted" there is "test," or "tried." "I am tested
or tried of God: God cannot be tested or tried with evil,
neither tempts, tests or tries he any man," with evil, "But
every man is tempted and tested and tried, when he is drawn away
of his own lust, and enticed." Now, look at the 16th and 17th
verses. "Do not err, my beloved." Oh, listen, be sure--I
told you yesterday, make sure you get these notes. It is so
vitally important because you study them, receive your own
healing. Study them, get your family healed, get the family
around and learn these things. Teach a Sunday school class.
Pastors, teach and preach from them. Praise God. "Don't err--"
don't get into error "--my beloved brethren. Every good
gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from
the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither
shadow of turning." What does that mean in Texas talk? He
ain't about to change. You know why? He can't change. He is
love. "I just don't understand how come a loving God allows all
this." Oh, shut up. I'm tired of hearing that, and you're tired
of hearing it, and you're probably tired of saying it. The
fact is, you don't understand. You just answered your own
question, so get in the Bible. The Bible has the answers in it.
Now, notice that He's not changing. Jesus is not changing.
Glory to God. Say it again, "He is my Lord." Say it, "He is love
and He never changes. He loves me and I love Him. He's my
Savior and He's my healer." And I might just add right here,
just as a little raspberry on top. Hey, this ain't plastic,
either, you know what? And it's organic. Oh, oh, oh boy, that's
good, a little bit sour, but it's good. Amen. Don't you wish
you had one? Now, this just--that Greek word translated
"save," "thou shalt be saved--" "Believe in your heart that God
raised Jesus from the dead," confess Him as Lord, "thou shalt
be saved." The Greek word is "sozo." It means saved, healed,
delivered and set free, equally. Amen. Oh, glory to God. Now
then--mm, mm, mm. Let's go over to Matthew the 8th chapter. And
we'll begin reading with the 2nd verse. We're going to settle
this "will" business. "Is it God's will to heal? If so, is it
His will to heal me?" The answer is, "Yes and yes." Yeah, thank
You, Lord. Isaiah 53, "Surely he hath borne our griefs--" Isaiah
53:4. That word translated "grief" means sickness. But
don't throw away the word "grief" because it actually
means that He bore our griefs. You don't need to be grieving
about anything. "He bore our griefs, and sicknesses, and our
sorrows." Sorrow is pain from toiling in the curse. It also
means pain and weakness. So He has borne our griefs, our
sicknesses, carried our weaknesses and our pains. "We
did esteem him stricken, and smitten of God." Listen, "He was
wounded for our transgressions." There's sin, right? He was
wounded for our transgression. Let's turn over there. I quote
it every day. Every morning when I get up, I look in the mirror
and I talk to myself from these verses. But I--you go to it. I
want you to see it. 53rd chapter of Isaiah. Verse 4, "Surely--"
this is a sure thing "--he hath borne our griefs, our
sicknesses, and carried our sorrows, our weaknesses and
pains: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and
afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was
bruised--" Now see, what is "transgression"? That's sin.
Glory to God. He bore our sins. "The chastisement of our peace
was upon him." Sweetheart, there goes your worried, sick mind.
"And with his stripes we are healed." So the healing is just
as prominent. Let me ask you. Is salvation, deliverance from sin,
and going to heaven--is that for everybody? Well, yeah. Jesus--
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have
everlasting life." Of course, the whole world--Jesus is God's
gift to the whole world. Well, on the same day, for the whole
world, He bore our sicknesses, diseases, and weaknesses and
pains. And if you find out about it and study the curse of the
law, you find out He bore our poverty. Glory to God.
Hallelujah. Ah, heh, hallelujah. Whoa. I done preached myself
plum happy today. Amen. You ought to be, too. Some of you
are getting healed right now. Tuberculosis--I just heard the
Lord. Tuberculosis was healed right then. Someone that--glory
to God. Just take a deep breath and shout, "Hallelujah." There's
your healing, right there. Now then, the will of God, "When he
was come down from--" Matthew 8. "When he was come down from the
mountain, great multitudes followed him. Behold, there came
a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if you will, thou
can make me clean." Now, what was his problem? He believed He
could. He believed He had the power and he--hey, he witnessed
it. He knew it. But now, see, this man, he's an outcast. Man,
can't nobody touch him. And Luke's account of this had said
he was full of leprosy. He's stage four, brother. He's about
to die. He stinks to high heaven. He--nobody can have
anything to do with him. Now, get it. "He came and worshipped
him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean." Now, the
first thing Jesus did--oh, come on. Come on, come on, come on.
The first thing He did--see, look--look, he came--he came and
worshipped him. One of the other accounts said he fell at His
feet. Oh. The first thing Jesus did is something nobody had done
for who knows how long. These old nasty running sores, stinky,
filthy old rags he's clothed with, and Jesus just got down
there with him and He touched him. Compassion is at it again.
Ha-ha! And He's the same today. Listen to what He said. "I
will." Dear heart, that's why He came to this earth. That's why
He was here. And the scripture said, "He is the perfect will of
the Father in action." "I came not to do my own will," He said,
"but the will of him that sent me." So it's God's will. Not one
time did Jesus say, "No, no, no, no, no. God doesn't want to heal
you." Not one time did He say, "Wait." Not one--no, He just
said, "I will." And He did for anybody that would believe Him.
The only ones that didn't get it were the ones that didn't
believe what He said. So one--another translation, it
says, "Well, certainly, I will." "Of course, I will," He said.
Hallelujah. And He touched him. "Be thou clean. And immediately
the leprosy was cleansed." The same yesterday, today, and
forever. Let me tell you something, love did that. Love
did that. Now, you know--if you've read the Bible at all,
you know, particularly in I John--John is called the Apostle
of Love. He's the only one that died--of the apostles that died
a natural death and he died an old man because the devil
couldn't kill him. They tried. One of their big deals was to
boil a prisoner in oil and put in a grappling hook and pull the
bones out of there, and throw them away. They threw him in
that vat of boiling oil and pulled him up, and he just
wasn't--he--it didn't hurt him, just like the Hebrew children in
the fiery furnace. Don't you know that shook
everybody's--whoa. Ha-ha-ha-ha. So they just tried to throw him
away. They put him out on the isle of Patmos to get rid of him
and he wrote the book of Revelation. Man, what are you
going to do with a guy like this? Well, I tell you what you
do. You probably pretty well let him alone. That's what you do
with a guy like that. Amen. Now then, Mark 1. Don't you love it?
Yes, I do because I love Him. And the 40th verse, "There came
a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and
saying unto him, If you will, you can make me clean." Here it
is again. Are you listening? "Jesus, moved with compassion,
put forth his hand, touched him, and said unto him, I will; be
thou clean." I'm telling you, the healing power of God's
moving all over this audience right now. Ribs, broken ribs,
missing ribs, something about ribs. Go on, all over. Praise
God. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Lord. Worship Him. Praise
Him and worship Him. Just bless the name of Jesus. "And
immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed."
When? Like that. Jesus can heal you just like that. He delivered
that madman of Gadara just like that. And I don't care if you're
a cutter. He was a cutter. He cut himself. I don't care if
you're a cutter. I don't care what you've done. I don't care
where you are. I want you to know that Jesus can change you
just like that. Whoo, immediately the leprosy
departed. Well, sure, the leprosy's got more sense than
just hanging around here. It's gone! And He bore your sins and
He bore your sickness. Don't go around saying, "Brother
Copeland, would you pray for my arthritis?" No. I'll pray for
you. But see, don't possess that. Jesus bore yours. Say, "He
bore my sickness." Say it. "He bore my disease." And the Word
says, in the 23rd chapter of Exodus, He's taken sickness from
the midst of me. And the length of my days He'll fulfill. Amen.
You ought to be talking these things to yourself every day.
"Yeah, but Brother Copeland, I don't know anything about the
Bible." Well, get you one and read it. Ha-ha-ha-ha. And just
be looking for it. Hey, we'll help you. Get online, kcm.org. I
mean, we'll--we'll send you stuff, you know? Amen. God loves
you as much as He does Jesus. Jesus prayed that in the 17th
chapter of John, the 23rd verse. "Show them that you love them,
as you do me." I mean, I remember the first time I ever
read that. I was a student at Oral Roberts University. And
when I came there, I was born again, baptized in the Holy
Ghost, but I was scripturally illiterate. I didn't know
anything about the Bible. And I--and I read that. I was full
of religious ideas and all of that, you know, that I'm just so
unworthy and all of that. No, no, no. The Word of God says,
"Anyone that's in Christ is a new creature: old things passed
away...and all things are of God--" and "all things are new."
Now, He didn't create--make--recreate a person
into something that wasn't worthy. No. They weren't worthy
when they started, but He--when they came to Him, He recreated
you in the very likeness of Jesus. And you're not worthy on
account of you, you're worthy on account of Jesus. You've been
made the righteousness of God. He loves you, and you ought to
be well. And you ought to have money enough to pay your bills
and do the works of God. You ought to have the freedom of
God. And you'll know the truth, the scripture, and revelation of
it, and it'll make you free. Glory to God. But faith is
involved, and "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word
of God." That's the only way it comes. It doesn't come by
praying for it. It doesn't come by asking for it. It doesn't
come through some traumatic situation. If--you know, if you
didn't have any faith when you went in there and you don't get
in the Word, you won't have any faith when you get--hey, man,
get out of it. But, "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing
by the Word of God." And that's the way you have victory over
traumatic situations. Hallelujah. Did you get anything
out of this today? I sure did. I'll be back in just a moment.
ANNOUNCER: We hope you enjoyed today's teaching from Kenneth
Copeland Ministries. And remember Jesus is Lord.
