on your leadership journey,

what you believed it was necessary to focus on getting better at -

name a skill (s) you needed to work on while

in this entrepreneurship path?

Rafael's voice: In this kind of work I do

with entrepreneurship projects,

international projects, and foreign trade businesses

I always have to work with many people;

all kinds of people (stakeholders);

so, this skill of know how to work with different type of people

(flexibility on dealing with different types of people):

work on your active listening, learn from them, exchange experiences with them,

and work on empathy too,

understanding their side as well, always.

It is crucial to understand that each one of us work

on different ways, with diverse motivators,

so it is important to identify - from the beginning - how we can work

better together. It is such a crucial skill that has been helping me a lot

in my career until now.

I also always make sure to send out a positive energy

to my colleagues. And this has been of great help to be able to

maintain my team in action (focused),

showing always great enthusiasm

has been helping me in dealing successful with team projects.

And I could add another skill here:

when jumping into a new project,

or when a new work comes in,

I focus on working with different behavior profiles,

with diverse skills than mine.

Having a good team handy,

with profiles that complement each other,

is something that I see as a good move in business, and

this has been helping me in my current projects.

we must do our part too in this process: to prepare, organize,

and implement our projects and its related processes.

And things flow easily from there! And I get less anxious too!

(smiles)... and again, working with different profiles,

we have to know how to adjust it all well

and team up well too, in a one strategic direction!

Also

I am always eager to take extra courses

to learn more, be it here in Brazil, abroad,

or even online. This is to specialize myself

(getting deep in knowledge in my business field).

This way I will feel more prepared to execute

the projects I am involved with.

STARGATE ORIGINS Ending and Movie Set-up Explained - Duration: 6:28.

Ever since MGM announced that it was making Stargate Origins as a 10-part Web series about

a young Catherine Langford, long-time fans of the TV and film franchise have wondered:

How could this story possibly fit into canon?

After all, when we first met her as an old woman Catherine didn't know how to open the

Stargate -- and had certainly never been through it.

So, what gives?

My name is Darren, you're watching GateWorld, and today we're talking about how Stargate

Origins ends ... and how it still manages to fit in with the movie.

So we're obviously going to spoil the end of Stargate Origins here.

So if you haven't watched it yet, this is your warning -- Turn back now!

Stargate Origins debuted online at Stargate Command in February of 2018.

And it was clear from the first frame that the story would have to thread a very fine

needle.

How could Catherine Langford even see the Stargate opened, let alone go through it,

if she needed Daniel Jackson's help in the 1994 Stargate feature film?

Not only that but fans of the TV series will also remember that Catherine turned up in

the first season of Stargate SG-1.

In the episode "The Torment of Tantalus" Daniel learns that experiments done on the gate in

1945 resulted in it being activated.

This was just dumb luck by randomly dialing without an address.

Catherine's fiance at the time, Ernest Littlefield, went through the gate and was lost.

In this episode Catherine doesn't know about this event until Daniel tells her.

When Daniel and Jack take her through the gate to find Ernest, it's pretty obvious from

her reactions that she's never been through the Stargate -- or so she thinks.

Here's where the writers of Stargate Origins come in.

They decided to tell the story of an adventure that Catherine had when she was younger, years

before the 1945 incident.

But, here's the key -- it's one that she doesn't remember.

There really are only a couple of ways to tell a story like this if you don't want to

violate Stargate's established continuity.

Either the older Catherine is lying in the movie and in SG-1 and deliberately manipulating

everyone around her, or she's going to have to forget about the entire event.

Origins goes for the latter, with the Goa'uld Aset using her hand device to wipe the memories

of Catherine, Professor Langford, and Kasuf.

Aset even plants suggestions in their subconscious minds.

She instructs Kasuf to the Abydonian city of Nagada and become the future leader of

his people -- just like he is in the movie.

She tells Catherine to return to Earth and organize a future rebellion against Ra -- subconsciously.

She even plants the idea of sending back an emissary who's wearing her amulet with the

Eye of Ra symbol on it, probably knowing the sway that symbol will have over the people

of Abydos.

That's the same amulet, of course, that will be worn by Daniel Jackson in the movie, the

first time he goes to Abydos.

So what Stargate Origins gives us is a reset button -- and unabashedly so.

So much so that the show actually cuts from this scene to a close-up shot of a giant button

being pushed as Beal is dialing the D.H.D.!

Now, make what you will of the way the story ends.

Some fans may not find a memory wipe all that satisfying.

Why does any of the story matter, right?

Why did I just watch it if everyone is either going to die or forget about what happened?

The surviving characters don't seem to grow or learn in any meaningful ways.

On the other hand, once the writers decided to tell this story, it kind of couldn't have

ended any other way.

It was a fun adventure along the way before that button got pushed.

It's important to note too that there is very little evidence of the incident left behind

on Earth.

Every character who went through the gate dies, with the exception of the mind-wiped

Langfords.

Kasuf retains no conscious memory of his meeting with offworlders, and Brucke's journal is

lost on Abydos after Beal's death at the threshold of the Stargate.

Back on Earth the only evidence that any of this ever happened is the fact that there's

a dead Nazi laying in front of the Stargate.

(I wonder how they explained that one!)

Now, what about Ra?

According to Origins, by the time the feature film rolls around he knew that the Tau'ri

had already opened the gate and come though to Abydos more than 50 years earlier.

But he evidently didn't do anything about it, like send a bomb to Earth or invade.

That's because, as far as he could tell, humans still weren't advanced enough to pose any

threat to him.

He just didn't care.

In the movie he's specifically concerned about the fact that, by then -- by the 1990s -- Earth

has learned to harness the power of the atom in its weaponry.

That's why he cares.

That's why he decides to send a bomb back through the Stargate.

So that's how Stargate Origins ends.

Ra rains fire down on Aset's temple.

He orders the Stargate moved, and Aset and her child are in the temple when it's destroyed

-- it's an execution.

The Harcesis is a forbidden child; they're not supposed to exist.

Now no longer will one of his underlings rule the planet in his absence.

The board is set for the events of the feature film.

From here Professor Langford would go on to study the gate as a mysterious piece of technology

rather than a mere artifact of antiquity.

When the U.S. military took over the project, Catherine would be pushed out -- although

in later decades it was up to her to keep the dream alive.

When Daniel Jackson solved the puzzle and opened the gate again, Aset's mental conditioning

kicked in -- prompting Catherine to encourage General West's plan to send an armed recon

team through the gate with weapons capable of standing up to the Supreme System Lord

... and with a familiar amulet to lead their way.

hi guys it's Mary welcome back to the channel today we're gonna do a one brand

get ready with me using essence cosmetics actually that's sort of a lie

because the eyeshadow that I'm wearing today is not essence because as most of

you know I'm in a bet and cannot buy eyeshadow in 2018 and since I don't own

essence i shadow z' i couldn't buy any so this is our urban decay but the rest

of it is all essence and I'm going to go through this and at the end give you my

opinions on which things you should or shouldn't pay attention to bye

and hopefully you will find all of this useful because this is a very affordable

brand I will not be able to answer comments all right that is because my

daughter's coming home from Virginia to visit and I will be with her and my

grandchildren I understand she wants to film a video with me so yeah I don't

know what it's gonna be yet but if you didn't see the videos from the last time

that she was here I'll put those below there they're all they're pretty funny I

think what do I know though I just want you to know that in case you wonder hey

how come Mary's disappeared or how come Mary isn't answering comments and stuff

that's why all right I still love you guys so but just as far we're gonna

start off with this primer it's called I love stain it comes in a container that

has a Chao foot this one is nude

next I'm going to go in with the fresh and fit awakening primer or awake primer

this I think has a luminosity to it that you'll see in just a few minutes but it

would it compared to something like Becca backlight it definitely has

luminosity to it I think it does a really good job of giving you a healthy

glow next I'm gonna use their camouflage and come just Pat right here just

cancelling out a little bit of the darkness that's under here this is the

essence brush and fit awake makeup it's a healthy glow I would agree that it is

a luminous glow very lightweight foundation and I'm gonna tell you a

story about this just shake it up here you tell you a

story about this Lulu had to point this out to me because of something that

happened at the altar I did not realize there's I think four shades of this

foundation and they're all some variation of this kind of white so

really sure what's up with that and that's a crying because I think that

it's not a bad foundation what I'm gonna do is take my Mac 190 foundation brush

which I use a lot for masks painting masks on my face lately I have been

spreading on my foundation on with this and so I'm just gonna start here and

then I go in with my Beauty Blender as you can see this is a very good shade

for me don't understand the shade range but if it hadn't been for Lulu I would

have never even known that anyway I'm in the Ulta and I go in to get the bad gal

lash the bag out bang and I pick out a small one so I ended up

getting a big one too because they said if you buy the big when you get the

little one free but my mind is on the trial deluxe size so when I got to the

Isle where they had this makeup and none of it had been used it was all brand new

so I'm thinking that these little bottles I see but a little more on

because this stuff is really really sure so I go over there I mean it's brand new

display for this stuff so I see these little bottles and I think that you know

I'll give him a try so I get these little bottles and this woman mind you

is following me all around the store I think she might be fritzy family and

she's just just too shy to say something to me or maybe she's trying to figure

out if it's me but she paused me all over the store later

Trish pointed out to me that she was probably like security because I get up

to the cash register and I said because I got these little bottles of this

foundation so you know it's about you know half this size I got these little

containers of this foundation and so the squeeze tube and I said how much are

these because there's no price tag on them and the girl goes they're not for

sale they're the testers it says right on it tester so I run back I'm in a

hurry okay because now I'm embarrassed that's so I run over there and put them

back and grab what shade looked like my shade and that's why I didn't even

notice that they only have this one shade is cuz I was trying to hurry up

and get out of it later Lulu says and I can't remember where maybe on Instagram

I'm not sure she tells me you know even the lightest or even the darkest shade

is too light for her and so then I investigate it and I'm like oh great

yeah there's four shades of this foundation

what are they thinking so at that point I'm like does anyone even really want to

see this if you ain't my color this is the brighten up it's a

banana powder I've never used a banana powder prior to this and I'm gonna come

underneath my eyes with this to brighten it up a little bit and I'm just gonna

Pat under here and set my concealer and since I'm there

let's just set up here too now I'm gonna come in with the matte powder this is

all about matte this powder does remind me an awful lot of my two-faced primed

and portlets and the way I like to use that is to take the Beauty Blender it's

not wet it's just you know slightly damp and I

always do this bring it on just Beauty Blender and then I just Pat that in to

my face and pores begone however you guys know I'm not real fond to this

matte look so we will go back in with a setting spray that will give me backs

and luminosity now I'm gonna come into their luminous matte bronzer I kind of

don't understand lines that cater to one shade of a person okay as you can see

that there's subtly building up bronzer on my face warming my face up a little

bit

I think this is light enough that we can contour with it I'm gonna take their

eyeshadow brush this is a blender and just use that on my nose picked up two

of their blushes this one is satin coral and this is satin love I think we're

going to use that in love today but as you can see it's got this pretty little

print on the front and I'm just going to go ahead and take that same brush and

swirl around in here and this is a really pretty flush this is called be my

highlight so I'm just gonna crisp it right over the top of this highlight and

I'm gonna come up here and right here at the top of my cheek I'm just gonna swirl

that right there next I'm going to use this now I really don't want to use this

because I'm gonna mess it up everything so I'm gonna have to fix it but I wanted

to show you the effect of it now this the rig this is called make me brow

instead of gimme brow by benefit um and it is significantly less expensive same

principle tiny little brush okay here's the thing this is the wrong shade for me

so it's not going to seem like that to you though on camera it does not look

that bad but in person it's just more for I think somebody who has more black

hair but I'm gonna go ahead and use it for you know demonstration purposes and

because I can now I have hair but these products work by filling your hair with

these like colored fibers so I'm just gonna lightly go in and

this across the hair and it makes them show up see this hair right here at the

front would ordinarily not even show up but now it does very subtle I'm not

putting a lot of this product in because I'm gonna change its color with

something else but I wanted to show you that I do like this product I just have

the wrong shade it's more helpful to me to use this product after a pencil but

then you couldn't see it the form so this stuff will work really well if you

have even more Brown than me I will be using the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani

palette I'm going to come into the crease with their crease brush which

isn't doing too bad of a job it's kind of pinched and fluffy so it gets right

in the crease synthetic I think it was maybe a dollar

it wasn't very much at all and I thought well I can't buy their eyeshadow but I

can buy their creases they're blending brush

it would have been nice to try their shadows if you have please sound off

below I mean judging by everything else I got I have no reason to think they

wouldn't perform decent obviously this is not about this palette so I'm just

gonna zoom through I only have one essence eyeliner and is this turquoise

blue so we're really gonna switch this off and I'm gonna bring it right here

but I am gonna tell you it won't stay all day not in the water line rarely

have I seen an eyeliner that does though but you know I think this was meant more

to come underneath not in your waterline but

let's put on some lipstick it is matte but it's creamy too I don't think they

should have called this Matt Matt Matt I think they should have called this

creamy smooth Matt okay my favorite part it's the mascara isn't this such a cute

tube I love it I love this I appreciate this

it feels like puffy paint I think most people are using the purple one but I've

got the green one this is what the brush looks like I like those kinds of wands

because you know you can get into the inner corner real easy with the tip on

it well all right I will be back as soon as I do my hair and put on my clothes

okay guys I'm back and this is the first look I added some earrings and a

necklace and I am ready to go out but I want to do a quick summary on my

favourites and tell you about those makeup that I've been wearing for over a

week let's start with where we began love this eye primer I use it almost

every day it's replaced my urban decay stuff looks good that's right

I see me buying this over and over again the primer for the face I love the

luminosity that this gives me it works the same under other foundations so I

don't see any reason why I wouldn't rebuy this the foundation I really don't

like there's only four shades of this all of them work for me what does that

say I mean they could have at least looked like they were trying right at

but the foundation does hold up for probably a good solid four hours it

doesn't start looking awful on me but I notice when I use a makeup wipe at the

end of the night it kind of fades to nothing I found nothing wrong with

either of these two powders this one here I rather like it I think performs

as good as my Too Faced primed and poreless I will buy this again

I don't know I mean maybe if I had no other powders I might buy this that I've

got a ton of powder so it probably won't buy this I don't know

I'll might use it the same way I use my Rimmel stay matte and that is to go over

my eyes so but this one here I can see me going through this and purchasing it

again and again this can see alert this camouflage concealer I don't think it

does a bad job but I don't know if I would revise this though guys I quite

like the the bronzer if you are looking for something that is relatively light I

think that this may work for you you could also use it as eyeshadow I think

that this is a really good product I probably wouldn't buy it again once it's

over with though because I have other bronzers I'm not better I don't think

there's anything wrong with these blushes at all they have held up on me

all day long so I don't have a problem with these and

I will use them and highly recommend this highlighter especially for us

mature gals speaking as a mature woman I think most of us are looking for a

highlight that gives us a luminous look that doesn't look like we're highlighted

so I think that this does a really good job and it just doesn't cost very much

at all I do like their eyeliners I would if I want to pick up fun colors and they

don't want to pay what I pay for my other eyeliners then I would certainly

step into an essence eyeliner I think that it gave a nice pop of blue color

here and I really like this eyeliner this I do like this product an awful lot

but I need a different shade in it I would recommend the make me brow over

give me brow the lipstick I really like it has a fruity smell to it its pleasant

it's not overwhelming I think it lasts a pretty good long time on my mouth and of

course it's not bite so you know it's I'm sure got things in it that aren't

safe to ingest but it doesn't give a bad taste if you lick your lips as you saw I

did not use any eyeshadows but I did just use this one little blending brush

if you're on a budget or you just need to pick up something to use while you're

out of town or whatever you saw I did my whole eye look with this brush so I

don't think that it's a bad little synthetic brush no that I love mascara

so yes I give a stamp of approval to this mascara alright that wraps up the

essence one brand I wish I could have done eyeshadow for you but you can go

blame Sean after that no I'm sure the eyeshadows match the rest of the product

line so you just let me know below if I'm wrong I would have no way of knowing

Read Harder Challenge: Read a Celebrity Memoir - Duration: 10:15.

Hey guys. It's book riot associate editor sharifah and today I am

recommending celebrity memoirs for the 12th task of the 2018 read harder

challenge, which is presented by Libby. Now if you don't know what Libby is,

it's a one tap reading app from overdrive. And basically this is your resource for

borrowing library books without actually having to go to the library. You can

check out ebooks and audiobooks in all sorts of genres. You can definitely find

some celebrity memoirs through Libby. Libby is compatible with Kindle, it's

available on Apple and Android. And all you need is a library card but you can

of course sample any book from the collection on the Libby app. So if you

want to learn more about Libby, all you have to do is go to meet.libbyapp.com.

And with that said, let's talk about some celebrity memoirs. So I was looking

around for some copies of the celebrity memoirs I'm going to talk about today

and I realized that I exclusively listen to celebrity memoirs and they have all

been audiobooks. So I just wanted to give you a side note that every book I'm

gonna talk about right now is excellent in audiobook format. I have not stopped

hearing about this book since it came out. I am talking about born a crime by

Trevor Noah who is the host of The Daily Show by the way. Born a crime is a

collection of personal essays and it covers Noah's early childhood through

his teens into his early adulthood, I believe. And a lot of the stories talk

about his relationship with his family and particularly his mother who is a

larger-than-life character in his childhood and in his memories. And a lot

of these stories, while dealing with some really dark topics, like apartheid is a

very dark topic and it's very complicated and complex thing to

approach, this book also has a lot of humor in it as you might imagine.

Trevor Noah is a comedian by profession. And I thought that one of the great things

about this book and about Trevor Noah talking about this

period in South African history is that, as part of his daily work, he has to

approach really difficult stories that come from the news and he has to put a

humorous twist on them. Like that is the daily show and also be really insightful

and intelligent about it. And I thought that he really brought that to his own story.

It's a very difficult story to tell and I was worried going into it

that it would be very depressing, that I would have to put it down a lot and stop

and start it, which by its format as a personal essay collection that wouldn't

be a difficult thing to do. But he just brings a lot of insight and a lot of

humor and a lot of intelligence to his story. And this is where I really learned

that he is an exceptional storyteller. That was Trevor Noah's born a crime.

My next pick is another celebrity memoir coming from somebody I did not know that

much about. It's this is just my face: try not to stare by Gabourey Sidibe.

Gabourey Sidibe rose to fame through her role, particular role as precious.

And while this is a story about her celebrity status, it's also a story about

her childhood and growing up with her family and her fraught relationship with

her father who is a cab driver and about her larger than life -- this is another,

there are a lot of larger-than-life moms in these celebrity memoirs I've been reading.

But her larger-than-life mother who was a, or is a special education teacher

and she turned into a street performer. And they had a very difficult

financial situation. Gabi did not have a lot of money growing up. She was growing

up in Brooklyn and then in Harlem. And it, she goes into that. She goes into it in a

lot of detail and she's very honest and raw about her experiences with her

family and what it looked like to grow up with no money. And then she talks

about you know trying to find her way in the world

when she gets out of school. And she's trying to do things that will help

her avoid the sort of financial difficulties her family faced when she

was growing up. So there's this really phenomenal trajectory of going from

a life in poverty and low income to suddenly being a celebrity. This book is

funny positive, it's humorous, it is so clever and I think that you'll learn a

lot about just the human experience from reading about Gaby's story. So again that

was this is just my face try: not to stare by Gabourey Sidibe. Scrappy little

nobody by Anna Kendrick probably goes more into what it is like to be a

celebrity than any of my other picks. And I think maybe it's just because she, in

her childhood, she sort of was on that trajectory to becoming an actor. She is a

Tony nominated actress. She has been in Broadway productions and she has been in

the Twilight adaptations for instance as well as up in the air and pitch perfect.

So you have probably seen her around on the big screen. She's very witty and

very funny as she talks about trying to be an actress and trying to be a

successful actress moreover. And it's a funny thing even when you come at it

from the very young age. There's still a journey that happens to actually get to

a place of success and she talks about stuff like, you know, making money as an

actress and how it is not exactly what you expect it to be. You do not

immediately start paying your bills even when you get really big roles. She has

had to take jobs, you know, the usual things, the waitressing and stuff like that.

And she's very honest about what celebrity status looks like and

what interactions with other celebrities look like. If you're looking for a celebrity

memoir that is really just pure fun, this is a great one.

I would definitely recommend it. It does feel like you're hanging out with the

bestie and she's telling you all about her life and all of the ridiculous

things she's encountered and all of the awkward experiences she's had. I would

definitely pick up scrappy little nobody by Anna Kendrick. And finally I want to

talk about my probably so far all-time favorite celebrity memoir, you can't

touch my hair by Phoebe Robinson. This is the celebrity memoir that got me

into memoirs and personal essay collections because I was rolling the

entire time I was listening to this one. Robinson is a comedian. You can tell that

I have a certain liking for comedic celebrity memoirs. And she's the

co-creator and co-host of two dope queens with Jessica Williams. She's an actress.

I say this every time I talk about this book but it bears mentioning

that Jessica Williams' forward is so hilarious and was a great introduction

to this book. They're both just hilarious people. And Phoebe Robinson was a child

of the 90s, like some of us. Her personal essays touch on trying to become an

adult in a bustling, busy large city and trying to find her footing as an actor.

And it also goes a lot more into observations about pop culture. And if

you couldn't tell from the title of this her memoir and her essays are also a lot

about being black and what that looked like as a nerdy child growing up in the

suburbs of Ohio. What was great about this memoir and what made me really want

everybody to read it was that it gave you a different look at what it means to

be black. Because sometimes when we have those conversations, there's some

stereotyping even when it comes from a well-meaning place. There's a lot of

lumping people into one sort of story. And Robinson's story kind of gives you

something different. That it's about somebody who grew up black and nerdy in

the suburbs is different from a lot of stories

I personally read. So I really appreciated that it was a different side

of the coin. This memoir was hilarious from start to finish. It was also very

touching. There's a letter at the end of the memoir or the collection of essays

that is really touching and heartfelt and still funny. So if you're looking for

a really well-rounded celebrity memoir that not only touches on the life of the

celebrity but also on pop culture and nostalgia, then I would absolutely

recommend you can't touch my hair by Phoebe Robinson. Those are all my picks I

have for you. There are so many fantastic celebrity memoirs out there to choose

from and some of them have come out just this year. So I hope that you feel

inspired to explore the world of celebrity memoir and that you find

something fun. And again I highly recommend reading, especially if they're

read by the author, reading them on audiobook. It's just a great way to take

care of this particular task of the read harder challenge.

Now let me talk about my driving experience.The first thing that you will notice about this

car is the gearbox.its so smooth.In the normal mode u just can't feel when the gear is changing.even

when u suddenly push the accelerator the car changes gear so easily that it's just amazing

to drive a car with this kind of gearbox.Now u know that the gearbx is amazing but that's

not all we have to two more modes.one is sports where if u want the engine to rev more that

change faeer at a higher rpm you can use this mode but that's not all there's a manual mode

too where you can change gears manually.Just move the gear up and down to change gears

without worrying about clutch.

And the best thing is suppose you are slowing and don't change gears the car won't stall

it will just automatically gear down aMazing right!.

It also has the crawl feature where if you dont press on the acrekarator and put the

car in drive mode the the car starts moving slowly a good feature for driving in number

to number traffic.

Moving on from the gearbox the car felt almost similar to the regular polo interms of handling

and suspension.

I could not test the acceleration well because there was too much traffic but I know that

driving this car is going to be fun on both highways as well as the city.
