On May 30, 1788, Voltaire died 230 years ago.

author of the monumental "Essai sur l'histoire generale et sur les moeurs et l'esprit des nations...".

Finally, he wrote journalistic works,

he co-created encyclopedias and dictionaries.

In his era he was extremely popular - admired or fought - he became the personification

attitudes of the worldview and politics that combine affirmation of reason with philosophical skepticism

and a spirit of tolerance with criticism religious worldview,

Today I'm at the dacha and want

to introduce you to my new acquisition.

My dacha is located in the village at a distance of 50 kilometers from the TV tower,

so for receiving television channels, I use a decimetric wave antenna purchased

at a local store.

In principle, it is enough. I mentioned it in one of my videos.

The technical parameters of this antenna

are quite acceptable for receiving television channels in good digital quality.

In several of my previous videos, I've already introduced my viewers

to these digital TV receivers.

It is the reception of digital terrestrial television from the company "BBK".

The model is now in front of you on the screen.

This receiver is a plastic box with a photodetector on its front panel,

and an indicator of standby mode is an LED,

and a usb port for recording on flash memory

of television programs, as well as reading some

video or audio content from it, well, and also static images.

The interface here is simple,

but quite complete, there is an analog output

via RCA connectors and HDMI, and also an antenna input.

Here is attached such a remote.

Somewhat earlier this device was purchased on eBay in 2013

such a tuner, integrated with a Scart connector.

Basically, there is no more interface here only Scart.

This is my first decoder

My dacha is located in the village at a distance of 50 kilometers from the TV tower,

so for receiving television channels, I use a decimetric wave antenna purchased

at a local store.

The technical parameters of this antenna

are quite acceptable for receiving television channels in good digital quality.

to these digital TV receivers.

It is the reception of digital terrestrial television from the company "BBK".

The model is now in front of you on the screen.

This receiver is a plastic box with a photodetector on its front panel,

and an indicator of standby mode is an LED,

and a usb port for recording on flash memory

of television programs, as well as reading some

video or audio content from it, well, and also static images.

The interface here is simple,

via RCA connectors and HDMI, and also an antenna input.

Fox News Hosts Rush To Roseanne's Defense After Cancellation - Duration: 4:03.

On Tuesday, not long after sending out a highly racist tweet, Roseanne Barr's show on ABC

was canceled.

And almost immediately, the folks over at Fox News rushed in to defend Roseanne.

Take a look.

So let's stay on topic here Jessica, because what this also is, and while I hear what you're

saying, I don't understand it to be anything other than free speech.

She's saying, and it is extremely offensive, but it is just that.

And she says in one of her tweets, there were three rapid fire today, where she said well,

it was a joke, it was a miscalculated joke.

And she is a comedian, she does have a very wicked twisted sense of humor, everybody knows

her to be a little raunchy, a little rough.

So, you know, while I do agree it is freedom of speech, she should take in consideration

that she has lit a fuse and she knows what she's doing.

Once you enter in people, you know, like Valerie Jarrett, somebody from the left, even somebody

from the right, [crosstalk 00:00:58].

It's just not right.

Okay, so there's a lot to unpack here, but let's start with the most obviously one.

Let's go with the first amendment.

First and foremost the first amendment protects your right to say almost anything that you

want to say.

It does not however guarantee you that there are not going to be consequences from saying

stupid or racist things like Roseanne did.

The government did not step in and silence her, so this is not a first amendment issue

whatsoever, this is a private company, ABC Disney, that decided to terminate their relationship

with her because her viewpoints, or the things she was saying publicly were not in line with

the company's values, and it offended at least half the country if not a little more than

that.

And then, we have the comparisons that are being made between Roseanne being fired, and

the NFL, because the same people that think NFL players should have to stand for the national

anthem are the ones who think that Roseanne Barr just had her first amendment rights violated.

What I'm going to say to that is no, these are not similar things.

One is a group of people who are exercising their first amendment rights to bring national

attention to a very important social issue of our time.

They're being told that they cannot do that, a new rule has been instituted that limits

their freedom of expression.

Roseanne said something racist, the network got mad and fired her.

Big difference between those two, and if you can't see the difference, then there's no

bother even talking logic to you.

And then, later on in the day though, let's talk about what happened to Fox News later.

Shaun Hannity and several other hosts actually came out and attacked Roseanne for this.

They went after her.

They did not agree with the previous host's comments defending Roseanne.

And then, as a result of that, Fox News viewers got mad at people like Sean Hannity and Shepherd

Smith for not defending Roseanne.

And now the Fox News viewers are accusing those Fox hosts of caving to political correctness.

Let's get something straight here, this is not Roseanne's first time being hugely racist

on Twitter or social media.

I mean let's all remember the time that she dressed up as H*****, pulling a tray of what

she called burnt **** out of the oven.

I mean I would think that that picture alone would pretty much give ABC a warning sign

that hey, maybe we shouldn't go back and put this woman on the air.

They knew what they were getting into, they knew the kind of controversy she could stir

up, and they thought, at least at first, that it was going to be good for business.

But Roseanne's going to be Roseanne, and Roseanne is always going to be raunchy and horrible,

just like she always has been.

And, as we saw on Tuesday, that's what eventually led to her being fired.

Trump women have a 17-year low unemployment rate that's extraordinary

wages are going up for women making it easier for mothers and families to

afford college for their kids we fight for unborn women women who are

presidency for women and folks like Jim Carrey and Michelle wolf and in the

In life, timing is everything.

Understandably, the decisions we make when we reach a fork in the road might be different

when we are in our 40s as opposed to when we were 20.

This fork in the road scenario is where Bruce Hollywood, 57, found himself after recovering

from a heart attack.

Suddenly, he felt the time was right to do something that he had never felt the desire

to do.

Bruce was born in Japan during the 1960s but was given up for adoption.

Happily, an American couple who was stationed with the U.S. military decided to adopt him

and take him back to America.

Even though Bruce's adoptive parents were always open to him meeting his biological

mother, it was something he rarely thought about.

He had always been fine with being adopted and even turned down his parent's offer

to fly him out to Japan to meet her.

Then all of that changed when he suffered a heart attack at the age of 44.

Meeting his birth mother suddenly shifted to the top of the list.

First, Bruce contacted the Japanese Embassy, then the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, but didn't

have any luck.

He also hired a private investigator but still, nothing turned up.

Finally, after several months, he got a call from the Japanese Embassy.

They had good news; his mother, Nobue Ouchi, had been located.

Bruce called her that very day and they were able to speak for the first time through an

interpreter.

The interpreter informed Bruce that the following day was his mother's 65th birthday and all

she had ever wished for was his return.

She also explained why Nobue had never married, "because she said in her heart there was

only room for one man.

And it was you, and she knew you would be back."

Bruce also discovered that his birth mother owned a restaurant which she had named after

him.

Prior to returning to America, his adoptive parents took Nobue a baby photo and told her

they'd named him Bruce.

"And I thought, 'This is either the most incredible story I've ever heard or this

woman is crazy, and these things aren't true'," he recalled.

Ten days later, Bruce was on an airplane to Japan to meet his biological mother face to

face.

Everything she had told him about his adoption and the restaurant turned out to be true.

His father was a U.S. military man who had intended to marry Nobue but never completed

the paperwork.

He returned home to South Carolina unaware that she was expecting his child.

Now, when Bruce looks back at his decision to meet his birth mother, he believes it changed

his life for the better.

They became very good friends and traveled back and forth regularly to visit each other.

When Nobue passed away three years later, the only regret Bruce felt was that he hadn't

met her sooner.

Donald Trump is losing support from some of his most ardent defenders or at least allies

in the United States Congress.

Last week, we had Mitch McConnell come out and say, "You know what?

I was at that meeting.

I saw the evidence and I have to disagree with Donald Trump's spygate claims because

what the FBI did was fully justified."

On Sunday, another US senator from the Republican Party joined McConnell and said that you know

what?

What the FBI did was fully justified.

They did not, as the president said, put a spy in his campaign.

They did what they were supposed to do.

The man who said that was Marco Rubio and then on Tuesday, Rep. Trey Gowdy, the guy

who started the whole Benghazi craze trying to take down Hillary Clinton and the Democrats

admitted that the FBI was fully justified in their actions.

They were not spying on the Trump campaign.

This was not for political purposes.

They did what every American citizen should be wanting them to do which is to double check

some of the people on Trump's campaign who really had shady histories that were already

on the FBI's radar and needed a little extra, I guess, not surveillance, but just keep tabs

on those people.

You got Gowdy, hardcore Republican guy, Rubio, same with him, and Mitch McConnell, the Senate

Majority Leader.

All three of them in the last week have come out and said that Donald Trump is blatantly

lying about this entire spygate thing happening.

How did Donald Trump respond to that?

Well, he spent Wednesday morning actually attacking Jeff Sessions, Attorney General,

for recusing himself from the entire probe.

Donald Trump is on his last leg at this point.

He's losing allies left and right in the House and the Senate.

Fox News Shep Smith yesterday actually even talked about the fact that there is no evidence

whatsoever to support any of the claims that Donald Trump has made about the so-called

spygate.

It is a made up thing by Donald Trump, which Rudy Giuliani actually accidentally admitted

to this past Sunday in interviews that it's strictly for PR purposes.

They're trying to erode the public's trust in these intelligence agencies so that when

the final Mueller report comes out nobody is going to believe it.

Well, guess what?

It's not working.

The more Republicans come out against this thing, the less likely people in this country

will be to believe a word that Donald Trump says about it.

But three isn't enough.

Five isn't enough.

We need more Republicans, every Republican who attended that meeting last week to go

over with the intelligence agencies, this entire spygate thing.

They need to come forward and say that Donald Trump is being dishonest with the American

public about this issue because if they don't, they're going to look like pretty big fools

if we find out that there was some kind of obstruction or collusion at the end of all

of these investigations.

Even Devin Nunes who was present at that meeting did not immediately come out and say, "You

know what?

The whole thing was fake.

Trump was right."

No, he kept his mouth shut and didn't say a word.

His silence tells us a lot more than the words of these three men who have basically called

Donald Trump a liar.

Little Girl Found With Wads Of Cash Has Explanation That Moves Internet To Tears

When Julie Bryan gave birth to her daughter, Addie, she had no idea her little girl would

be spending most of her young life at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Addie was born with Larsen syndrome, which is a rare condition that causes abnormal development

of the bones.

Unfortunately, little Addie was born with her legs "backwards."

At just 5 days old, she was outfitted with her first cast, but it wouldn't be the last.

In the coming years, the young girl would go through what mom estimates to be around

60 or 70 casts, with an additional four surgeries on top of that.

But, it wasn't until Addie stood on a street corner as she neared her 8th birthday that

people were left speechless at the sight of the "girl with the backwards knees."

What she did that day stunned everyone.

Although Addie can't bend her knees, she was actually much worse off right after she was

born.

The family couldn't afford the expensive medical treatments that she needed, and things would

have been very bleak were it not for the free care Addie received at the Texas Scottish

Rite Hospital.

Mom Julie told WFAA:

"When she was born, her knees were backward, her legs were all the way up to her head,

she had hip dysplasia, and a club foot.

We didn't know if she would ever walk, if she would ever run."

Thanks to doctors and other miracle workers at the hospital, Addie can now walk, run,

jump, and do so much more!

She's living life as a normal kid who just happens to have a slightly abnormal medical

condition.

However, a mediocre life wasn't enough for her.

Addie wouldn't be satisfied with anything less than getting exactly what she wanted,

especially for her birthday.

In 2015 when Addie was about to turn 8, she had a big whopper of a birthday gift in mind

- but, it wasn't for her.

Addie was intent on raising $8,000 for the hospital that helped make her legs do a happy

dance!

All this sweet girl wanted to do was pay it forward to a new generation of kids who needed

the same kind of help.

That's when the young lady made a homemade sign and stood on a busy street corner near

her home in Rockwell, Texas.

Addie began to collect donations so that other children at the hospital could get prosthetic

devices or casts, which would help them get well fast!

Her perseverance and hard work paid off after news media coverage of her story spread around

the world.

Her campaign of hope and kindness raised an astounding $19,500.

But, the sweet generosity didn't stop there!

An anonymous philanthropist heard about Addie's story, and wrote a letter to the hospital.

They were moved by the pictures of Addie as a small baby who would have faced insurmountable

odds had the hospital not stepped in and done a good deed.

A check for $50,000 was included with the letter on Addie's behalf, bringing her grand

total raised to just shy of $70K.

For a hospital that relies on charitable gifts, that was a lot of casts!

Addie says that this story was never about her, but about the place of healing that became

her second home.

She's certainly making this hospital a lot more cheerful for all the other kids who call

it their second home, too.

Awww, what Addie did for the hospital is so amazing, and she's such a spirited young lady!

The world could certainly learn a few lessons from this beautiful soul.

The actor started shouting "Fuck you, Donald Trump," then called him a "mother fucker"

and a "lowlife."

He continued:

"Then, like a man possessed, he let loose on Trump, as the audience sat in stunned silence.

It's a horror with this motherfucker [as president]."

The "Good Fellas" actor also described the President as a "low life", who is

"debasing the presidency."

In one video he made for Hillary Clinton's campaign, De Niro ranted about Trump, saying

that "he's stupid, he's a dog, he's a pig, a con, a bullshit artist, a mutt, doesn't

pay his taxes, he's an idiot, and I'd like to punch him in the face."

But now just like in the case of most of these low-class celebrities, it seems karma is about

to give De Niro a flying kick to the gut after one of the waitresses from his restaurant

chain just came out and revealed the "sick, dirty thing" he did.

A waitress, Jade Bukowski, went on to confirm that De Niro, who owns several restaurants,

one of which is called Tribeca Grill where she worked from July 2016 to January 2017

has now revealed that the angry actor was acting, as a pimp by providing the Hollywood

sexual predator Harvey Weinstein after-hours access to the Tribeca Grill.

She also added that Weinstein used the Tribeca Grill as the place where he would lure young

actresses looking to make it big in Hollywood.

But once there he would force them to do sex acts in exchange for promises of fame and

fortune.

And the sickest part is De Niro knew very well about what he was doing in the restaurant,

and sometimes he was even present during the scenes.

rendezvous was very firm.

disturbed.

The pair would sit close, whispering and touching each other suggestively.

After dining, Weinstein and the woman would often disappear for a while, exiting the restaurant

through a side door."

"When a girl arrived waiting for Harvey, we all knew what was in store for her.

After a little small talk and a sip of champagne, there would be an office tour usually well

past working hours, after which the girl would return looking worse for wear and barely able

to finish the glass," a fellow server told Bukowski.

She added that these young women would leave with Weinstein, and then come back in the

morning looking traumatized, and De Niro knew exactly what was happening.

Not only was he there a few times with Weinstein, it was happening right in his restaurant a

few times a week.

In fact, De Niro and Weinstein were using the Tribeca Grill for "secret meetings,"

all the time.

According to Page Six in August 2017, "Robert De Niro and Harvey Weinstein had a top-secret

meeting on Thursday, sources said, with Phil Murphy the Democratic favorite to succeed

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

The trio was said to be meeting in Tribeca at the Greenwich Street offices that house

De Niro and Weinstein's film companies."

Yet, De Niro has been bashing Trump as a "pig" and a "sick bastard," when all the while

he was acting as a pimp for Harvey Weinstein's sexual predatory exploits.

De Niro is laying low, since this story just broke.

How will he explain allowing Weinstein to use his restaurant after hours as his personal

lair, where he lured young women who were just trying to get started in acting?

Robert De Niro once was a great actor.
