Youtube daily report Jan 28 2019

Do I have separation anxiety? - Duration: 6:51.

I think I might have separation anxiety.

Last year I made a video about becoming a parent and the anxiety I had about about that.

And that decision I want to make a follow up since it's been a year and let you know

where where we've been the past year has been full yes sweetie the past year has been full

of lots of awesome moments of discovery.

There's so many more things that my daughter could do now like walk and seeing her walk

for the first time was pretty amazing.

She loves books are so many things that she's learned how to do and I love all those moments.

But what has been really hard for me is how much my experience of anxiety has changed

specifically how much I worry like right now where is she going.

Was she doing when people talk about separation anxiety they often focus on the child side.

It's hard for kids to separate from their caregivers.

It's hard for them to be away from them.

They start to worry about what's happening to their parent if everything is going to

be OK.

They want to check in.

They can't do sleepovers.

Yeah it's a tribble

You got the tribble sweetie they have a hard time with sleep overs with going to camp with

anything that's overnight in a way stuff like that or starting school.

But what no one talks about is the parent side of separation anxiety.

It's something I've learned so much about this year.

It's not so much that it's hard for me to be away from her as much it is that when I

think of something new of going someplace yeah Lion sweetie and you have Ya Ya.

Ya Ya is her octopus I don't know why she calls it Ya Ya.

When we think about OK let's just walk the camera but not not not mess it up.

OK.

When when I think about going someone somewhere new doing something we haven't done before.

My head gets full of everything that could possibly go wrong.

And I get this gut urge to not go there.

Like just a few weeks ago we were going to a holiday party that my friend was throwing

and we hadn't done that done that trip before.

We hadn't been in her home with my daughter before.

And I started to think like how are we going to get there.

We're gonna have to use this new car seat because she's outgrown the old car seat.

What if something goes bad.

Now she's pointing to the screen saying dada's there.

Yes sweetie hi.

Hi dada is making a video.

And you I was thinking like we're going to be at her home.

There's going to be like a glass coffee table.

What if she runs into that and then she gets hurt and something bad happens.

You got the tribble.

And I immediately had this urge to not go.

And that's what happens to me all the time now.

Anything we're doing for the first time.

I don't want to do it.

The other things sweetie you want to come here you want to come here sweetie.

No you want to sit on your spot.

You can sit in your spot.

Can dada come with you and sit on your spot.

The other thing that happens is not only does she like being closer to me when she's struggling

but when she is sad and crying it feels so good to me to be able to soothe her to hold

her to calm her.

And that's the other part of separation anxiety people don't talk about is how good it feels

to comfort your child and how much better that is than the anxiety of letting them go

and do something where there is uncertainty and danger and uncertainty is just what fuels

anxiety.

And I've been feeling so much of that this past year as we do so many new things.

This is the thing about anxiety.

People always talk about anxiety as if you have it and you don't.

And that is completely false.

Anxiety is an emotion we all have.

It's a constant.

It's a it's always going to be there.

And for me this past year has been about learning to stay vigilant in the face of anxiety.

When when I feel that urge to avoid come up to push back against it and I don't want to

make a series of decisions that not only make my world smaller but make her world smaller.

And that's what I've had to learn this year is to push back against that and it's really

hard and it's stressful and I get tense and I am full of worries.

And it's really difficult for me and when I'm able to do it and when I'm able to talk

to my wife and get her help it's not that it gets any easier that time.

But it does the next time.

And that's what I've learned and that's what I'm trying to do.

Have you ever experienced separation anxiety with your children with your pets with a friend

with your parents.

Let me know in the comments below if you like this video give it a thumbs up if you want

Sweetie do you want to blow them a kiss?

bye bye You can say bye bye sweetie.

Do You want to blow them a kiss.

OK.

You're Kind of saying bye bye to me but the camera is over there.

bye bye bye.

Ok.

We'll do a Backwards Bye Bye Bye everyone.

Find out what life is like as a Councillor - Duration: 2:25.

I've always been involved in local democracy, I've been involved with many

Groups and Associations over the years in my business and also in general life.

I've always been known for having an opinion on most things and never being

afraid of talking and saying what I believe should happen.

It's an absolute honour to

be a councillor and I'm the councillor here for Kings Walk [ward] in Mansfield.

What I like most about being a councillor?

Solving problems! As a businessman what

I've always found that often its profitable to solve problems but when

you're a councillor, you get the pleasure of solving the problems for people who

perhaps feel that they're not getting their voices heard.

And when you have a

resident calling you at 11:30 at night saying "there's travellers on the park,

I want it solved immediately" you also have to then liaise with the resident,

explain the procedures, how it all works

but of course reassure them that everything that can be done will be done

My background's in youth work so I think most my career has been focused on

making a difference so it made sense to try and do that through being a councillor really.

It's being out there and meeting people really, finding out what

they want and working alongside them to try and affect change.

My role as a councillor is very, very rewarding.

Helping others, supporting people, residents in my own ward

is particularly rewarding. I like to give them advice, I like to help them

I like to support them where I can.

I felt that particularly in my own ward that we needed more investment,

that we needed more funding, that we needed to work more on improving the

quality of people's homes and housing and the local environment so there are

all factors that motivated me.

Would I recommend being a councillor to anyone? It's

one of the most amazing, rewarding, incredible jobs that anyone can do.

You encounter everyone across the community.

I became a councillor because I think we all

get frustrated with things that happen and things that we think could be better

and it's it's easy to stay frustrated but actually sometimes I think have to

really get involved and try and make a difference

Podcasting: Eight Steps to Getting Started - Duration: 4:07.

Hi there.

I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.

Today I am going to talk about the eight steps involved with creating a podcast.

I am going to go through them quickly.

There are a lot of great resources online, so do your homework ahead of time.

Step one, set goals for the entire podcast.

Know why you want to create one and who your intended audience is.

Set measurable goals for your efforts.

Create a plan and timeline.

Get everything lined up before you write and record your official first show.

Of course, you will need a great podcast name.

Make it engaging.

Same with episode names.

Be provocative or fun; don't just use labels.

Also consider whether you will producing and creating it all yourself, or if you will engage

with a media partner to help with the important steps.

Two, decide on a topic and a format.

The more specific your topic, the better.

Some podcasts are broad, but I recommend a niche approach to your content for a niche

audience.

As for formats, some podcasts are interviews, others long form discussions or examinations

of a topic.

Listen to a lot of podcasts inside and outside your specialty and choose what is right for

your organization and the personality of the host or hosts.

Also, you will need to decide on frequency.

Once you determine how often you will publish shows, stick to it.

Don't be erratic.

People like predictable.

Three, write or outline five shows.

This will help you work through various issues about length, format, depth.

This may seem unnecessary, but this will prove beneficial in the long run.

It will help develop your intro and closing.

Even if your format is interviews, you can develop the questions and the direction each

will take you.

Fourth, research the tools you will need.

You will need a medium quality microphone or better, as well as a mixer or mixing software,

or someone that will do this on a freelance basis.

If the budget allows, don't skimp, as people will judge the podcast by many intangibles

including sound.

Fifth, record a sample show as a test.

Focus on the style, the authenticity, the speed of the conversation.

Make sure it all seems easy and approachable.

Engaging is the key.

People like to listen to stories.

They like practical.

And they like positive.

Sixth, edit the sample show.

Hold the show to high standard for background noise and buzzes, but don't beat yourself

up over stumbles in your wording or conversation.

Natural is better.

Someone will need to dive into the decisions you will have to make for your audio file:

format such mp3?

Stereo or mono?

Bit rate, and more.

You will also need artwork for the show and a logo to submit with your eventual launch.

Remember to also supply quality show notes.

Seventh, think through how your listeners will download your podcast and where they

will find it.

There are lots of decisions about this, including delivery on such platforms as iTunes and Google

Play.

Will listeners be able to engage with your podcast at your website?

Assign someone to dive into these more technical details before any recording is done.

Last for not least, develop a marketing and promotional plan for the show.

How will you reach your readers, customers, and listeners?

Have a fully fleshed out plan that details your social media plan, custom email campaign,

and promotional efforts.

Don't just expect organic or word-of-mouth growth.

Also, connect with other podcasts for cross promotional value,

Plan out the first 6 months of shows and when you are ready, proceed with your exciting

new venture with enthusiasm.

Well that's it.

I am a publishing consultant and work with associations, publishers, and individuals

on a host of content related challenges.

Man Utd in Transfer Battle With Liverpool Over Birmingham Prospect Romello Mitchell - Duration: 2:12.

Manchester United are set to face competition from rivals Liverpool over Birmingham City starlet Romello Mitchell

The 16-year-old has been in terrific form for the Midland side's academy teams, and impressed again for Birmingham's Under-16s despite the side falling to a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday

The Daily Mirror report that Mitchell's performances in front of watching scouts this season has made it difficult for the Championship side to keep a hold of their young prospect

The striker, who only turned 16 this month, scored a memorable brace against Liverpool in the U16s Blades Cup final as Birmingham beat the Reds 8-4 last year, having already starred in the semi-final against United

The report adds that Blues boss Garry Monk is understood to be braced for offers for the talented forward, with a clutch of Premier League and Championship sides said to be interested

#LFC scouts have watched Birmingham's teenage striker Romello Mitchell recently vs Sheffield Wednesday and it wasn't the first time as I recall he was scouted last year as well

Big upside. pic.twitter.com/70eouxnDZg— LFC Scout Watch (@Mobyhaque1) 27 January 2019  Despite his age, Mitchell has been a regular for Birmingham's U18s and has scored on numerous occasions this campaign for the club's higher age groups

With Mitchell still too young to sign a professional contract, any potential departure from St Andrews would see Birmingham only being entitled to receiving a small fee in compensation

Monk's side currently find themselves in 13th in the Championship, and return to league action on Tuesday evening as they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium

Do I have separation anxiety? - Duration: 6:51.

Last year I made a video about becoming a parent and the anxiety I had about about that.

Create a custom made Ring with Rhino 3D Part I (2019): Jewelry CAD Design Tutorial #58 - Duration: 10:38.

In this video we are going to look into how to prepare a 3D model for this stone,

and furthermore, I would like to make it into a ring with the 3D printing and

casting, and set the stone for the whole process. Are you ready? Let's get started!

First, let's find out the size for this stone. I want to measure the width, length

and the height. It's coming in to 13.29, 18.33 and 7.79

with the digital caliper. Let's go to the top view and we

are going to use the "Oval" command and from the Center. we're gonna hit zero to

Center it. The first number we're gonna put it in there is 13.29 divided

by 2, since we only use half of it. The second number, we're gonna put a here is

18.33 divided by 2, so that gives us the base for our curve.

Let's going to the front view. We're gonna use the "Line" command right here, and

going up for 7.79

alright so that is how high it is going to be. To creating this surface, I'm going

to use the curve tool, coming at the front view. I will like to snapping into

the end point and quadrant, starting from the end point and coming down roughly

about here. We want to make sure that SmartTrack is on, and we're going to

come into the top and snapping into the quadrant, so this is the curve that we

have over here. You can also use the other way to get a smoother line by

putting a little tab here, and also another tab here. So instead of drawing a

line, I will use the blend tool to blend from this point to this point.

So that way you will get really smooth line over there. The command we're gonna

use next to creating the stone. It's called "Rail Revolve". We're gonna pick up

the curve, and then we're gonna pick up the rail and tell the Rhino where's

the axis. And that's how we get this one. Using the "Cap" command will make this

surface into the solid, and then this is well be our stone. It may not exactly the same

with your stone on the profile, but it's for rendering purpose. The key

component is the curve, that we have on the bottom. Coming to the front view,

Let's make a ring shank. I'm going to make its diameter 16 millimeter,

and move my stone up roughly about here. For the high definitely you need to

consider the thickness on the bottom for the better casting. Now we have

everything in the position, I do want to have this curve offset a little bit

bigger. It's really depends on the shrinkage of your wax and your casting.

If you know what is the certain shrinkage, you might want to go by the

shrinkage. For the demonstration purpose I'm just gonna go 0.2 mm.

They're slightly bigger for this stone, so that way, when my model shrink a little

bit, it will fit. Let me offset this guy, and this time the offset will be

the thickness, so I'm going to make it one millimeter. And that will be the

thickness of my metal over here. I'm going to rebuild this curve. Currently it

has 50 point is because it's coming from offset. I'm going to change it to 12 of

them, so I have the curve look like this. Let's make a copy first, and pick up one

of it. We want to pick up those control point like every other control point.

so holding your SHIFT (key) then click and let's move the Gumball up ,so we have

the basic shape over there. Let's go ahead to create the other shape. We are

going to use this command right here for the "Ellipsoid", and we are going to use

the diameter. Let's click on the first quadrant, second quadrant, and the third

one. For the height, I wanted to go over a little bit and so that will giving a

nice taper looking . Actually to cut this, we are not able to trim it, unless

this curve is attached to the surface. So we're going to use the command call "Pull".

we are going to pull this curve back to this surface. Now you see the curve is hopping

on this surface. With that curve is selected, let's go ahead to trim the top

off. That's how we get our first shell there. Due to the shrinkage, I would like

to this surface follow that 0.2 guideline that I have there. So let's go

ahead to offset this surface. Let's pick up this surface, and we want to offset

for 0.2 millimeter. We don't want it to be solid. Just that surface right

there, and we are going to pull it back one more time. This time pull this curve

back to this surface. Okay and you may notice that you have something like this.

It is because we have a seam over there. It's really simple to solve. We just need

to pull one more time, because every time you pull, you can only pull into a single

surface, so we are going to pull and we're gonna pull from there to this

surface. So now we have those two curves. Let's go ahead to join them, and use them

to trim off the surface over there. okay that's using the surface from

planar curve, and that's pick up this curve and creating this surface right

there. Let's join this one and this one

together. Second things we need to do is we want to creating the surface over

there. Let's using the blend surface tool and make sure that the chain edge is

yes, so we want to pick up this edge and pick up this edge. You can adjust the

bump if you like to, and once we have everything we just need to go ahead to

join everything. Double check that if this is a solid. Right here on my

property showing close solid poly surface. Now we have done that we need to

creating the ring shank. I'm going to use the conic corners rectangle tool, and

snapping in the center to the quadrant, and let's take a look on the right view.

and lets move it down, so you get something look like squarely oval.

Let's use the move tool to move from the quadrant to the quadrant, so it's not

cutting inside of a ring shank. Second things I wanted to do is to mirror that

to the top. I'm going to use the 3D scale from here to here, and moving up a little

bit like whatever size that is suitable. We're going to the surface with the

"Sweep 1 Rail" this is gonna be the rail, cross section, and cross section. Make

sure they are aligned, and I personally like them to be aligned in the inside of

a ring shank. So that's moving to inside of the ring shank, and make sure all the

arrow is aligned to the same direction. It's gonna do only half of them it's

because we need to close the sweep on the option here. So that's how we get

this one, we're going to have a "Boolean Split" this one out of the shell that we

pick, and let's delete everything inside.

Now let's go ahead to Boolean Unit together. Double-check that it is still

close solid polysurface. Once we have done

that, I do like it to look very nice and round on everywhere. So I'm gonna giving

a little bit fillet. So let's go to the "Fillet Edge" command, and let's do try one

and see how this go. Alright look really nice and we're gonna try that again.

Alright so now I have this nice and round. We need to cut off anything it

shouldn't be inside of a ring shank. Go to the solid "Extruded Planar Curves- Straight"

and let's use the "Boolean Difference" This out of this one.

Sometimes your difference will fail. it's because all the seams are currently

perfectly aligned right now. What I like to do is actually I want to make

them just slightly bigger roughly about that. It's really hard to tell by the eye

but it does make the bowling job much easier. it's going to Boolean Difference

this one out of this one. Now we have everything ready.

Let's double check this is still closed polysurface, and we are ready

to 3D print and cast this one. Don't forget to check the video on the

Thursday I'll show you my printing result casting result and how I set this

Stone. See you next!

-Some of my Weavings; RISD Textiles- - Duration: 15:21.

Hey there, it's Annabelle.

I promised that I would talk about my weavings a bit,

and also about my other projects, but I thought I would start on

my weaving samples, cus I have them all here in a bag.

Just to give a brief, on those who don't understand what I study,

or don't know my major, I'm doing Textile Design,

and the curriculum could be weaving,

screen printing, digital embroidery,

within that, there are different levels,

so you have 1, 2, and then eventually the industrial level,

which I have yet to take.

in our final year, is when we do our own degree project,

kind of pursue what ever we want, and kick off our art practice.

so everything here is from the class where we start weaving on dobby looms.

and it's no longer completely hand operated- like the jack looms.

so we draft on the computer,

depending on what kind of draft- but the gist of it is...

you're looking at a graph paper.

the filled in square means the intersection of warp and weft.

it could be different depending on what structure it is,

finally, designing on the computer,

makes it a lot faster,

imagine, filling in a square with your pencil, versus just clicking once.

in general, you're still designing the entire structure yourself,

and the only reason we use a computer is because

we have so many harnesses, that when we press the one pedal,

the computer connects our draft, translates it to the loom,

and tells it which harness to pick up.

one of the first week's,

was this.

last year we started out with every student having their own loom,

but for this class, there aren't enough for all 12 of us,

so we have to share. every loom is fixed up with different colored yarn,

so that way we can really vary our samples,

you can see, these 2..

it was made on one, because, the warp

is the same turquoise color.

I use cut up fabric here, to make clown fish.

I thought it would be fun and also- this fabric was left over from my final last year.

I really like to reuse and save all of my scraps

here I was inspired by peacock colors,

mainly because I came across

some yarn at michael's that ..

just made sense for me to mimic that feather-like chevron,

so sometimes, the back is nicer than the front. or they're equally interesting.

but this one is not too different,

the 2nd week, I didn't love this, because I was working on the other looms,

and the tie up was completely different, which means that

I can in no way do this structure when the tie up of all the yarns

are in the block tie up.

I just wanted to see what it would be like to mix some matte yarns, with metallic,

rayon- but.. not too...

..special.

I don't like this color at all.

the loom I signed up for was grey, and I hate this color combination,

but I tried to make the best of it,

I wove in some of that holographic cardstock,

and then the other ones we glance over- but it's not super remarkable, so I don't have much to say about them

this one's also from week 1,

and it's the cut fabric. so you can see the edge of the satin is a little bit frayed,

and gives it that fuzzy look, and this was inspired by goldfish.

by also using different materials that are the same color,

it looks like a little gradient, and i wanted to get that sort of fish gill texture.

it just overall looks like stripes.

you can kind of make out....

that in this sample, it's prairie.

but I didn't want it to have a very very familiar, typical, cat shape, so..

I know she's very slender, and kind of weird looking,

and that's why..

this shape,

on my crew neck was inspired by her.

it was just a funny little weaving,

but you can see why it's a little bit more rectangular because,

I had to cut it short since it's really easy to make mistakes.

there's a really big margin for error,

you just miss ONE thread, and it's really obvious,

and it's more obvious in the back.

when..

certain ones, carry through.

and it's not supposed to. right here..

or right here, there's an error.

um, right here...

but...

it's just really difficult sometimes, because especially when you're sharing machines,

the tensions are off, so when you hand operate it,

even though the computer helps you lift the harness,

you're still actually physically weaving it.

it still lifts, and you're still putting yarn through as you saw in my vlogs.

something that was really fun was when we got to double sided weave structures.

and this one,

is on the block draw, which

is why it has to be geometric, I can't really make..

curves, or anything organic.

I found this stretchy spandex fabric, with metallic, and it shimmers.

and on the back, it's the negative, basically.

so you can tell what I was going for, it's like

city at night,

and then city in the day, kind of.

except..

these are clouds,

and then now I don't know.. what that is.

kind of a boring pattern of just strawberries.

I tried to make them more interesting by having them confronted instead of all facing one direction,

and staggered,

but it still looks pretty basic.

kind of more interesting on the back, because you see the negative and then,

a bigger stripe

pattern..

I wove with

super metallic yarn,

and then.. matte black .

just to see what the double weave was like.

this one was from a photo of a forest fire.

you could see i really lost the over all pattern,

and it recedes into just a basic stripe,

like the texture's interesting, just because I chose to weave with a fuzzy material.

but you really don't get much more, and that's not always bad,

but I think..

because it was my intention to do more,

that's what happened.

so here I found,

really thick, bright cord.

and then, we had some chenille, it was like..

really bright green, and fuzzy,

so of course, the complimentary- it reminds me of some sort of trident gum,

it is a double weave,

you really can't tell though, because it looks the same just cus of the pattern.

but..

this is pink,

but then on this side, it's green.

this one's also double,

I just really like experimenting with materials I think-

this one was

tulle- you know, what you see in formal dresses, or tutus,

yeah, I cut that up- it had some paint on it,

and then glitter, so then when I wove it,

with this pattern, I wanted to get...

the essence of coral, because I saw a photo of very pink coral

and then the dark negative space,

here are a couple that I don't really like at all.

just because..

i was getting the hang of it,

this one is okay- this took way too long.

cus I was using tapestry method, meaning I would hand place every single one of these color changes,

and then cut them behind here.

having fun with shiny yarn.

and..it didn't amount to anything.

but sometimes, it doesn't!

and sometimes it does.

this one as well-

I was having a bad, frustrating night. not.. not really

going through with anything I planned,

even if you work at a draft and it's perfectly

structurally sound,

when you finally weave it out,

either the color doesn't work, the yarn, or the material doesn't work,

or it looks not like you expected,

or it's too smooshed, because..

the thickness of the yarn also effects how your image will come out.

you can tell there are some mistakes though-

I'm not gonna actively point them out,

but if you see them, you seen them.

and this one of pickles?

this one was double weave,

pickles is one of Tyler's favorite things,

so he was super excited about the idea of me weaving something about pickles.

so I kinda came out with this pop-arty

random pickles weave.

I'm not sure which side I like better,

this one's kinda typical, this one's kinda more interesting..

and when my professor saw it, she's like "I can't stand pickles"

then we moved onto another weave structure,

matelasse, it's a different kind of tie up, and

when I first practiced with them,

again- you really have to get the hang of it,

just because you operate something successfully, doesn't mean that anything you make might be effective.

these tiny little things that just..gray out,

from afar,

if you look up close, they're intricate,

this one was inspired by art deco,

and this one was inspired by windows,

when I went to *palacio de cristal,

in spain,

and that is not a good pronunciation-

I cannot pronounce.. spanish words

but I redid this one in the end.

so some of the tie ups are mirrored, which is why you see

so this one is a mirrored one,

but

it is a second rendition of this one

because it completely gets lost in how complicated and tiny it is,

as I start to turn it, it turns blue because you see the tiny warp coming through

I went to europe with my mom late summer last year,

these were inspired by the architecture that we went to see,

by gaudi. directly inspired by the sculptures on the roof top,

I think this was meant to go this way, so you can tell I was trying to get that shadow to light

with the curves,

we are already near the end..

and for our final collection, we had to pick one idea

during the festivals or whatnot, we always watched the chinese opera,

and things like that

and there was an act called "bian-lian"

which is "changing faces",

and the concept of the whole act is

distraction, so that's why the helmets are very ornate,

and we have really big winged sleeves,

with fans

I love how vibrant they are, and they inspired my color palette,

as well as

the motifs that I came up with,

so I really like this one because of how playful it is,

I used pipe cleaner,

you can see the back here- it's not as interesting because,

the

yarn I used here,

is metallic, and then this one is not.

with this one, I was trying to get the idea of

the mask,

being concealed,

and you look closely,

there are eyes here,

& originally I wanted to go back with some foil,

like gold leaf, that sort of thing-

I didn't get the time to, but I still can. still free to do what ever I want to this.

this one is similar, and the same concept,

of kind of..

'now you see me, now you don't'

over here you can see the eyes, the nose, and then I meant to have them basically overlapping,

but then,

it kind of..

merges into one..

one mask.

the back looks pretty interesting as well,

just really fun,

this one was the last thing I did, and it's so silly.

I wanted to use this photo, with all of the masks hanging up,

turns out to look like frkn sesame street,

and..

I would've gone longer if I had the time,

but this one already took me..4 hours? maybe longer? I can't really remember.

so I was using tapestry, putting in materials like pipe cleaner again,

and using different sorts of yarns,

this one was focusing on details, on the robe, I believe.

and it was done on the royal blue warp,

which shows up over here,

and I did tapestry with loose, red-dyed fiber.

if I just put it all the way across, then it would pop through in between

but I wanted to define the circles- kind of looks like

when I was little, I would design birthday cakes for fun,

I would draw them, and I always made this sort of crazy thing.

like swirly frosting, and then fruits,

looks like that, but the color doesn't go.

and... the last thing I haven't shown,

this was in a vlog, where I was talking about drying this,

it just made my other metallic yarns loose and wanna fall out,

so it looks a bit sloppy.

but I'm glad that I tried,

to do some finishing techniques

no- this is actually the last one. It looks super short,

and I'll explain why,

but it's my favorite one. you can see a dragon mask,

over here,

and then you have this weird

mickey mouse looking thing,

I was meant to cut this.

cut this part, to reveal a U-shape.

but I enjoy the size variation,

so the back looks like this,

I used a lot more tapestry techniques,

like this triangle,

if I didn't do that, then it would continue all the way

another thing my professor pointed out is that the top

is a little bit longer, just a tiny bit longer.

when I was operating the loom, I was using the beater,

which is the comb that presses all the yarns back,

with every row, I was beating it harder,

and then in the last row, I was a little looser, cus I was realizing how squooshed it was becoming,

that was a mistake, because if you want continuity,

you don't just change it halfway through, you either have them all loose, or all squooshed,

but when it came off the tension,

it also kind of shrunk up, so it's a little bit shorter than I'd want it to be.

I think I have left out random little things,

and there's always these,

you know, practice sample rows, where you throw together different materials,

to see how it works with the color,

this is just what I showed you,

took me maybe..

2 hours to figure out how to weave, or get it exactly how I like,

I think a lot of people wonder, 'how does this apply to the industry?'

so basically, not only is it in apparel,

you know, woven fabrics in apparel, are in furniture,

interior or exterior textiles, but-

in science, for smart textiles, like inventing fire retardant blankets,

space suits,

seat belts- they're woven,

if you're asking me why I wanted to do textile design,

I was choosing between apparel and textiles,

and,

I enjoy the texture, and surface, pattern and color,

a lot more than the...

3D composition and construction of a garment,

so that's why I didn't do apparel.

but how that affects me as a designer, for example,

if I were to graduate and want to start a clothing line,

then, I think I put a lot more emphasis on

exactly what materials I am knitting with- like I am not gonna use acrylic,

um, a lot of plastics,

that's that, I hope it was interesting,

informational, if you have any more questions, I'll try my best to answer them,

and now I'm gonna have to rush off,

I wanted to make it to the post office, but

it's closed, again. and it's storming,

cars rushing by outside- I'm sure that you heard.

prairie is here with me right now!

she was sleeping on all of my weaving samples,

because she just loves to get on top of things,

that you normally wouldn't sleep on.

I would buy her a bed,

but she would choose that instead.

oh! that rhymed.

so we're gonna sign off together,

and if you were interested in this crewneck, I believe it's still on sale until the end of the month,

because I had that flash sale last year,

and a lot of people ended up missing out and then emailing to get on the waitlist.

so I did activate it again,

so the campaign is still going on, but I haven't been actively advertising or

trying to promote it, just because, my favorite thing is just to talk to you

in the comments, and to have this community,

you don't have to feel bad if you can't afford it, or you just don't like it,

it's not..

I don't take it the wrong way, AT ALL, if you just don't want it.

I made it for those who do want it!

it's prairie,

and..just me I guess

this one is me, that's her glaring at me.

sending you my love,

the sun set behind me!

while I was talking

thank you for being here.

bye!

as you can see,

prairie loves me a lot more than she did before,

I've been reading a lot,

and she would just cuddle up on my chest for the whole 2 hours.

she seems..kind of indifferent about being here.

I'm gonna let you go.

How Do YOU Define Wealth? A Discussion About How We View Money - Duration: 7:16.

How do we define and measure wealth for ourselves and for others?

Is it merely through the number of dollars we have accumulated throughout our lifetimes?

Does it have anything to do with the amount of possessions we have, the size of our house

or how prestigious our cars are?

Or do we measure wealth through some other means entirely?

In today's video, I'm going to be going over 3 commons ways I see wealth defined as

well as how I personally choose to define it for myself.

Audible and 2 free audiobooks of your choice as well as a list of some books on money I'd

recommend checking out, or you can share this video with a friend, and leave a comment below

letting me know what topics you'd like me to cover in future videos.

So the 3 commons ways I'm going to be talking about in today's video is wealth as measured

by dollar value (or whatever currency you happen to use), wealth as measured by the

duration for which you can sustain your lifestyle without continuing to earn an income, and

wealth as measured through the "Wealth Trinity" as discussed in MJ DeMarco's book "The

Millionaire Fastlane."

So the first way that we often define wealth is through sheer raw numbers.

If you have $10 million in your bank account we could pretty safely assume you would be

considered wealthy by a large portion of the population, but with only $10 to your name

maybe not so much.

For the longest time having a net worth of $1 million dollars was considered to be wealthy

and was for many a goal to strive for, and still is to a certain extent.

However, the downside to viewing wealth purely through the lens of raw dollar values is that

depending on the lifestyle of the individual in question $1 million may be an extraordinary

amount of money that can fund their lifestyle and then some for many, many years to come,

but for others it might not be able to last them a decade under their current lifestyle.

Location also plays a large role, I mean $1 million dollars living in New York City or

Los Angeles isn't going to get you quite as far as that same $1 million will in Minneapolis.

So while using a raw dollar value approach can give us a general idea of someone's

wealth, it can also be misleading unless we also have more information to go along with

it.

The second way that we often define wealth is by figuring out how long that money can

last us if we weren't able to or just chose not to continue generating an income.

This is often the approach you see when retired people or their early retiree counterparts

are discussing how they managed to retire in the 30's or 40's.

They figured out that they would be able to live off their savings for however many years

they figured they'd need in the case of the retired person (or just for as long as

they live in the case of the early retiree).

This approach of basically asking yourself "how many days forward can I expect to live

this lifestyle on this amount of money" solves the primary issue I was talking about

with the raw dollar value approach because it allows us to adjust for differing levels

of lifestyle and come to a more uniform number.

Someone living in New York and spending say $100,000 a year with $1 million in savings

would have accumulated 10 roughly years' worth of wealth for themselves.

Whereas someone living in a lower cost of living area such as Minneapolis may only be

spending $50,000 a year.

Meaning, assuming their savings were the same of course, they would've accumulated roughly

20 years' worth of wealth for themselves unless you want to consider things like inflation,

and rate of return if they invested that money somewhere (which of course we would in reality,

but I'm just trying to focus on the pros and cons associated with the definitions today).

The point is this approach gives us a more uniform way of analyzing the wealth of ourselves

and others than just looking at the net worth figures of each individual does.

However, what this approach fails to do is take into account things other than money.

Some may disagree with me here and that's fine, but I personally feel that a person's

wealth incorporates more than just the amount of green pieces of paper they have accumulated

or even how long they can make those pieces of paper last.

While that is an important part of the equation it is not the entire equation, which brings

me to the third way that we often define wealth.

The third way we often define wealth is through what MJ DeMarco calls the "Wealth Trinity"

in his book "The Millionaire Fastlane."

In the wealth trinity one's wealth is measured, not necessarily by how much money they have

(at least not directly), but by how strong your relationships are with friends, family,

and your community.

How healthy and vibrant you are as an individual.

And how much freedom you have in life.

In the book, these are referred to as the three F's: Family, Fitness, and Freedom.

And I personally like this definition of wealth the most out of the three.

When I look back at the richest moments of my life, the memories and moments I cherish

the most, none of them have much to do with money (again not directly at least).

They usually have to do with late game nights at a friend's house, or those rare trips

with my family growing up, or going out west and visiting a bunch of national parks for

the first time in my life.

Certainly I couldn't have done much of that stuff without money since, at the very least

food, gas and some form of lodging would've been needed at some point during all of those

experiences, but my life wouldn't have been as rich, and I wouldn't have been as wealthy,

had I just left all that money in my bank account.

Now that's not to say that saving money isn't a good idea or that it's unimportant,

because of course, it's very important, just not for the mere sake of saving.

It's important so that you can develop a passive cash flow that gives you the freedom

to choose what you want to do with your life.

It gives you the choice to be able to retire or maybe go to part-time (if you are following

the coasting financial independence path to retirement).

It gives you the choice to maybe take some extra days off beyond the vacation that your

company may give you so that you can go on an extended vacation with your family.

You get the point, savings gives you that freedom of choice to fill in the blank here.

And it's those freedoms of choice, time, and location that, when used properly, allows

you to best strengthen those other aspects of the wealth trinity and become a truly wealthy

person, both with money and beyond it.

And I think that's a much more comprehensive and accurate definition for wealth and it's

the one that I use… at least until I find a better one to replace it with.

Which leads me to my question of the day.

How do you define wealth?

I know that there are dozens of definitions that I didn't cover in this video, and for

all I know one of them that's even better than any of these three has escaped my attention.

Let me know in the comments section below, I'm really interested to see how others

view this question.

STARTING on a doll head | How to sculpt a base (shape neck&chest) | Epoxy clay | Mims Victims - Duration: 7:43.

Hi everyone.

In this video I will show and explain how I go about making a base for my doll heads

with epoxy clay.

Specifically, Apoxie Sculpt.

I will also talk a little about what I've changed over the past 3 years and why.

For my first few dolls I did not even make a base and just started on the head right away.

It was not impossible to add the neck afterwards, but it made my life a lot harder.

And for me personally it was a waste of time and energy.

So, I strongly suggest you to make a base.

I usually make multiple at once, so that when I feel a strong urge to sculpt, I can go right at it.

Then what I did for a while was this..

I would start with a bracket shape made of metal wire

and wrap aluminium foil around it like so.

I did this to save as much clay as possible, for one.

It's also generally important to try and keep the head light, since too much clay can

get heavy, and that means the doll can topple over more easily.

But there are 3 downsides to this shape and method.

First of all, with this shape, I could only give the dolls a high neck shirt.

Secondly, I started disliking the shape of it after a while, particularly from the side.

If you have a quick look at your own chest, you'll notice that this is not a natural

shape.

Really, it should be much flatter.

And lastly, I overestimated the strength of the epoxy clay.

From my experience, it needs to be at least 4 mm thick to be strong, but preferably more.

Strong as in, it can survive a fall.

So, filling up the neck mostly with aluminium foil, does not make it very strong.

As I said, I know from experience...

So even if you still prefer this shape, make sure to use enough clay to keep it sturdy.

And so, we move on to my current method.

And really, I don't know why I did not do it this way from the start.

I have actually made dolls a long time ago with more chest showing and I don't know

why I didn't stick to it, honestly.

We start with making our desired shape out of wire.

I use 1.3 mm gardening wire, but really it doesn't matter what you use for this, as

long as it's not too flimsy that it'll lose its shape while handling it.

The neck should be positioned a little more to the back.

I make a ball of aluminium foil for the head separately.

Then I use simple office tape on both sides to fill in the gaps.

If you are not using epoxy clay, you might want to use something else or skip this step

all together, as it might not be strong enough with tape in between.

Epoxy clay is known for its glue-like qualities, so it actually adheres to the tape.

Unlike other air-drying clays that might separate.

Now it's time to add some clay.

I add a layer to the ball of foil, but leave room for where the front of the face will be.

I sometimes already add the eyes and set them in place.

I leave it open if I don't know what it's going to be yet.

Then I add clay to the base all around, usually starting with the bottom.

At this point it will look far from perfect and it does not need to be.

But make sure there is enough clay around the neck at least.

Then I stick the metal wire into the ball of foil

and mush the clay together where the neck meets the head.

I place the head base on a piece of paper so it does not stick to my desk.

It doesn't matter if some paper will not come off the clay, since I'll be adding

another layer when it has fully hardened.

That is also the point where I add details like collarbones if I want to.

Even if the doll gets a shirt with a high neck, I prefer to make this larger base compared

to the smaller one I showed earlier.

It looks better under clothing and the head is much more secure on the body.

You could make the front of the base much larger if you'd like

and even sculpt cleavage for your doll.

Or make the top of it wider to show more shoulder.

In that case, just be aware that it can affect their movement a little.

Remember that there is not really a right or wrong way to make art,

but in the case of dolls, just make sure they don't break their neck.

I hope that this has helped someone in their doll making journey or just scratched a curious itch.

If this has helped you, feel free to leave a little donation through the Paypal button

on my website.

Or support me by buying a doll from my Etsy shop.

Thanks for watching.

Bye!

First Impressions: Everyday Habits - Duration: 8:16.

So guys here we are with every day and every day is a habit tracker

I do like to explore my habit trackers recently. You may have seen their bit

If I review I am also planning to do a habit trackers of 2019 feature

So do stay tuned for that one and do subscribe if you're brand new to this channel

So here we are everyday habit tracker is very simple. This is the web version

It's also available on iOS and Android and it does have browser extensions now just to give you a bit of a background I first

explored this one on product hunt

I then looked into it downloaded it got started and

it's really a very visual habit tracker allowing you to very simply and

Like a habit and keep track of them. Like there's not really much to it. But what's quite nice about it?

what makes it special is that you can actually view it in this sort of plot out mode so you can actually

see like a running tally of which ones you've done in the whole month behind and

Obviously you can look ahead you can also keep track with some really simple progress bars

And there are a couple of other things as well that you can do with this application. So we'll be looking into this

We'll be looking at the web version just to give you an outline of what's available so you can manage it for the web version

anytime

You can have add and manage your habits on the go using the iOS

Which has an iPhone and iPad as well as an Android application now it is a way

Available at bay available on browser, too

so you can see there's browser extensions and you can download a for Chrome and Firefox and

Merely merely what that does is you can create when you open a new tab. It appears automatically here

so if you're looking for something that

Allows you to keep track of it and and or like to be able to see it every single day without fail

Then this sort of tab extension is going to be really easy and it obviously appears in the top right hand corner

So it's it's very early days. The vet developers are indie developers from Barcelona

You can see their contact details down here and you can actually reach answer them if you have any

problems to start with it gives you a 30-day free trial and then it's

$12 a year

Which I don't think is breaking the bank habit tracker, especially if you get on with this type of visual

Habit, so here we go. Let's have a look at what actually can do so you can see here

I've put in two I've put in go for a run five kilometers and

Weekly review which doesn't necessarily mean that it's gonna be a weekly one

This is more. I would say designed for daily habit. So let's go ahead and create a new habit

Let's say I want to a journal every morning, which I have been trying to do a lot more recently

I can go to the Advanced Options and actually have a break habit. So for example, the color scale will be descending

When you break the habit and no weekends so you can actually set this up

to appear on weekends

So I'm actually gonna journal when we can so I'm gonna click ant habit

Now you can see here that the weekend option is now available on the previous ones

I actually set the weekend to be off. So it does have the ability to have that so very simply

You can start adding them. So for example, I actually got my journal last Friday

Finally came in the post. So I'm gonna take that one

You can see here that it appears as a green a lovely green here and you can naturally ticket them off

I didn't do Sunday, but I did Monday so you can start to see that

I've got this nice indication as I'm going through so if I press skip

He actually comes half unmarked. So I actually have the ability to skip a day as well

but if I want to tally it as one I can do so it's got sort of like skip days and also

non skipped days

So you can backtrack if you want you can go back to any days and actually find them so down here as well

So for example, let's say on Tuesday actually didn't do buy journals that day. You can see I did a 5 comma to run and

a

Journal entry so I get two markers here so you can see that on bloody

Synonym application you can see here that today's highlighted but over here

You've got this quite nice way of seeing your what your streaks working on. So for example your current streak in each area

For example, this is the streak of two and the total counts so far one, two, three four

Is there now the magic is you can sort of twelve?

This slightly forward and you can see the wheat count the month count and the year count

So if you're able to keep this going across a year

Then you could be able to see that really nicely

So as you can see here, you can also scroll along and actually see as a percentage of how much you've completed

So it gives you a really good indication of how well you're doing now in terms of our progress tracking as well

You've got up here. You can see a total

Market account of of how you see stuff which is very cool. So what would quite like about this application?

I'd say it's killer future is definitely the ability to

see

for example you want to

Visualize all of your habits in one place and actually get a nice progress bar

Of how are you doing in terms of streaks getting that information all down?

Imagine if you had like 10 or 15 of them down here, it would be really good. Now. There are some customizable areas

So for example in settings if I go over to my account, I can obviously have email reminders

So if I want to turn on a daily reminder I can and that will nudge me to ant in my future

My habit I've got a weekly reminder as well

I can turn that off actually have them one on and and also a don't skip twice reminder

So for example if I receive an email

I don't add a habit two days in a row in the continuous you can backtrack so as you can see here are a few

the the

Micro editions you can actually add a color to it and they've got a few color ranges at the moment

You can go back in and edit

and also if you want to scroll back

some of the previous days you can and even

Modify those so it's a good way in being able to keep track of all of your habits

prior as well

if you want to be able to

Backlog some of the ones you've already done and the great thing is you've got this nice indication up here

To see how well you're doing in terms of total marked habits

So guys that all-in-all is the application a few of my final thoughts on this one

It is very simple, but it's a great application

if you're someone that really relies on a visual habit tracker and if you're looking for one that sticks to you like

Every single day in terms of the new tab on Chrome, it's going to work well for you now

I think it lacks the progress insight necessarily that the likes of habit of I and strides

Cludes in the habit trunk. The pricing is fairly acceptable $12 per year is pretty reasonable

and again

You're supporting a independent developer - and what I quite like about it is chances are they're going to be adding a lot more

abilities to this soon now just to give me an idea of other pricing that Strides is free for up to seven habits you have

It's $5 per month after that

So if you want to add more than that if you want to use a bit fie, it's three habits, and then you're stuck

Whereas when you pay the $12 per year, you're accessing unlimited habits, which is very useful

So guys let me know in the comments what you think of this one? Just before we go

I'd like to thank SaneBox for sponsoring this video. You can check out same box. Same box is an email management solution

I use it every single day as a way to manage my inbox and it really does help to reduce clutter

So you can check that one out get $25 discount. Please do check out this is one of the recommended resources

It's january sponsor and I really do appreciate them coming on and supporting the keep productive youtube channel

Anyway guys if you're brand new here do hit subscribe if you would like to learn more all about our courses

Feel free to go to our youtube page and find everything there. Anyway guys, thank you so much

Let me know what you think of every day and I will see you guys in another video Cheers

One in two Koreans say people in their late-60s should not be considered senior citizens - Duration: 2:36.

As more and more Koreans live longer and healthier than ever before,... there's an ongoing debate

on whether the official age that defines the start of the twilight years should be raised

to 70 from the current 65.

Experts say it isn't just a matter of bumping up the number as it would lead to various

social and economic complexities.

Oh Soo-young delves deeper into this topic.

One in two Koreans believe people in their late-sixties should not be categorized as

senior citizens.

A poll conducted by Realmeter found that 55-point-nine percent of some 504 respondents were in favour

of raising the "senior citizen age" to seventy, from the current threshold of 65,... while

41 percent said the age should stay the same.

The survey also noted that there has been a general shift of perception towards older

people in the country, as life expectancy continues to increase.

Korea is also grappling with chronic demographic issues including low birthrate and a rapidly

ageing population, which puts increasing stress on the younger generation and on the pension

system.

Those in favour of raising the age range believe it could help reduce various social burdens,

according to the pollster.

"Contrary to past conceptions, I think those who are 65 years old are still young and productive.

My parents want to continue working, and I think if the senior citizen age increases,

there will be various benefits economically, socially and on a national level."

Meanwhile, others cited concerns that poverty rates among the elderly could worsen if those

aged over 65 cannot find jobs and lose their welfare benefits.

"I am nearing that age range right now, and I think there would be benefits if we keep

the current standard.

If there is social concensus for the age limit to be raised, there would have to be opportunities

for older people like us to maintain our income and find other work."

In Korea, the official retirement age is currently set at sixty,... and basic pension payouts

are available from the age of 65.

"The good news is that raising the age range will allow more people to remain economically

active but the bad news is it would mean pensions recieve it at a later time.

It would also affect the younger generation, employment and social welfare for senior citizens

so this is not just a simple matter."

Professor Oh says there should be an indepth analysis on the impact of an upward shift

in the senior citizen age,... which should also be shared with the public before policy

changes are considered.

Oh Soo-young, Arirang News.

five-day blast to be able to take a cell and have it biopsied for

genetic testing. We are having genetic testing done, if you are new to this channel, because

we have had two chromosomally abnormal pregnancies in 2018 and I was just not

comfortable moving forward with hybrid cycles without genetic testing or IVF

without genetic testing. I just knew I didn't have it in me emotionally to go

through another chromosome abnormal pregnancy. Evidently my body does not

really get the memo on that and so I stayed pregnant with those for

a while. Anyway so I've been anxious all day at work and one of my buddies who

was on the same cycle as me IM'd me and said that she had gotten her report and

she got 11 and that is awesome! A hour crept by and they hadn't called me.

I had to get on a work meeting and thankfully it was ending soon and

it was like, "okay anybbody have any questions?" then my phone started ringing I was

like, "okay okay no questions? I'll send an email. Bye!" and just hung up really

really fast so I could catch the call and not have to listen to a message.

It was our wonderful embryologist Ashley and she went over the whole cycle with

me and she's like, "Hey you had 33 eggs, 29 of which were mature and then 19 of

which fertilized normally. Yesterday on day five we looked and

there were three that could be biopsied." and they waited till day five and a half

so this morning and said there was one more they could get for a total of four.

I could just cry like from 19 to 4 which is lower than even the bottom of

my calculations. Let alone starting at the high end with 19. Then ending up with

4 is just a little bit devastating and I know a bunch of you will say, "It only

takes one" but the genetic testing is literally the part that I had the most

anxiety about since we have a track record of bad genetics. Obviously

this kind of coincides with that. That big of a drop-off. Something's wrong

and I know it doesn't mean it for sure but it certainly feels

like it is right in line with our track record. So now

best-case results two of those are normal. Worst case none. I was just

starting to think in my mind, "We'll have plenty for us and maybe we'll even

get to donate some wouldn't that be so fun to be able to give some embryos

to other people?" I know not to lose hope yet or anything but it was just a

really big blow and it certainly brings back in the possibility of having to do

another cycle which is a lot considering I'm still feeling subpar from the

retrieval from this cycle. So I drove home after that. I was sitting

luckily enough luckily I was in a phone room and not just out of my desk. I was in a

phone room so I could take that call. I just packed up my stuff and left. It was

only like 2:40 but just like eff it. But this is the reality of it. You get a

phone call and that's all it is. Anyway anyway oh my gosh ok pulling

myself together cuz I need to call The Husband

and let him know. It's mostly frustrating because I wanted this done and in my

mind it was checked off done. We either have enough embryos for us or we have

enough embryos for us and someone else. We've gotten this far I hadn't really

thought that failure could be an option and it totally is now. It is not unheard

of for four embryos to be genetically abnormal. I mean that's nothing.

Now another two-week wait starts.

The Husband - Hello. Alright lay it on me

We got four.

The Husband - At least there's that many.

The Husband - I wonder why it is so low. Alrighty baby.

Bye honey. The Husband - bye.

So obviously I was a smidge upset. Going from

19 to 4 was just devastating. I have a spreadsheet which I will link a

read-only copy of below that shows the normal ranges of I guess degradation

from how many follicles you have to how many eggs are retrieved all the way down

to how many babies you can expect. How many positive transfers you can expect

to get. That is based on literally the latest and greatest research I could

find. I show you the best case and the worst case range just to give you a

realistic expectation. Like I said, I'll link it down below so you can have a

copy, but you will see that based on my original number of 33 eggs

I should have landed somewhere between 6 and 14. I should have been on the

upper end of that because I had such a good count going into it. Well this is

what it is. We have two weeks now to wait before we get genetic results and we can

actually put a plan of action in place. If you've been following along on my

journey, you know I don't really do the waiting game or the not having a

plan game, so we're probably going to lay out a plan for if we get 0 embryos,

and literally just if we get 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 come back normal What we're gonna do.

Obviously if we get 4 then that's great that's what I wanted from the beginning.

I wanted 4 or 5. That was kind of my end goal target to have on ice. If we get 4,

they're all magically genetically normal, then great we'll just freeze them and

progress as we play them 2019 being adoption year and 2020 probably being

the earliest transfer. Then on the flipside if we get 0 we seriously have

to talk about doing IVF again this year and timing is questionable. For reasons

I'll get into in a later video, February and March are kind of off limits as far

as doing IVF. Like I said that situation is developing so I don't want to say

anything and then I have it turn out to be nothing.

So from kind of mid February through mid March

I would prefer not to be on stems or meds or anything so the

earliest would be after that. Then in between zero and four I'm kind of "meh" I

don't know. I don't know what we would do at that point that is something the

husband and I still need to decide on. I don't super know. Honestly

I think we would do another retrieval cycle if we got one. It's just not enough with a

50% success rate of transfer. It's just not awesome. Doing genetic testing

greatly reduces the chance of miscarriage but it does not eliminate it

by any means, which is something that I don't think a lot of people know either.

Transferring in good embryo and it sticks you're home free? No.

There's still a chance that that's going to end in a miscarriage for a different

reason. Point is I am doing okay. I kind of had

my little emotional breakdown yesterday, went got a cheeseburger, got a cookie

butter concrete. If you don't know what cookie butter is oh my gosh, I feel like

there should be a PSA: wonderful new invention. Go eat it! I chose to have

mine mixed in to frozen custard because we were breaking out the big guns

yesterday. Then luckily by pure happenstance I had my infertility

support group that meets once a month and so I was able to go there and it

really helps to get perspective and just be with other people that have been

through this. I don't know. I just I feel like benchmarking against

people in infertility support group sometimes brings it down a notch

because if you start benchmarking against your Instagram feed you will be like

cute babe, a cute baby, a baby bump, baby bump, oh cute little announcement of

child holding a sign that says she's gonna be a big sister like then

you get a little upset. Hi I know the lighting is like really questionable

right here, but I wanted to get this recorded because I need to go work and

not on this puzzle in the background. My office is over there. Yes it's

devastating. No we're not out of the game yet. This still might be a salvageable

banking cycle but understanding that we're not planning on transferring

these right away means that we were using this as like a security blanket

and kind of it check off our list to like have those to use later. Since it

is going to be a year or two before I want to transfer them, so if we were just

transferring them I'd say we take whatever we get, we transfer them,

roll into a new IVF cycle. I would like to take advantage of my young eggs

while I can. Obviously I'm going to dig in with a doctor on what the hell

happened. Again is it a statistical fluke? I'm feeling not so much. You ladies

can tell me whether or not you think it is a fluke or whether or not

you think there might be something underlying. I haven't really done enough

research to figure out that we have two miscarriages and

now we have such a bad embryo batch if there's a connection. If there's

something genetically with sperm or eggs that isn't up to par. Anyway I need

to do a little more research on that as well as consulting my doctor. I'm gonna

wait for the final PGs results before I sit down with her.

I'll probably do an adoption update after this video or in two weeks so be

on the lookout for that. That will feature our profile book which is

adorable! Just so many hours put to that but I'll save that for a future video.

Other than that ladies you know the deal until next time keep on fighting!

PADRINO - Duration: 4:02.

Pastor Elias, pastor Elias...

Pastor Elias,

I've noticed this week's cut is a little...

-lighter. -Yes, well,

there was a Flamengo game, right?

The church was empty.

Leviticus! Leviticus!

Who does pastor Elias think he's talking to?

With archangel Gabriel, or Saint George?

You're talking to God, minister.

What're you gonna do to fix that?

You don't want to pay your tribute?

Of course! I always charge vig.

10% of the congregation's salary every month.

The times have changed, pastor Elias.

10% doesn't fill the whole in my tooth

or the crease in my butthole.

I want you to take everything from them.

House, car, wages.

But, sir, these people have nothing. I...

I can't do that, they trust me

-like a spiritual guide... -I agree with Jesus,

I think you're underestimating God's power.

No, no... I'm not.

Is he, Jesus?

I think so too, Dad.

I think he's getting a big head.

Not at all, guys, please!

I fear God and Jesus and all your beautiful family.

Pastor Elias,

I could break all your ribs with a snap of my fingers.

Ouch! Not that, please!

Please don't do that! Don't put that here!

-Healed. -I feel better.

Minister, I once drowned all of humanity

'cause I woke up with a stiff neck.

-So I just felt like it. -I heard about that.

I know where your wife, mother and daughter are.

Lord, please don't do anything to them.

-They're my family. -I'm not... Stop it, Leviticus!

Don't give me any ideas!

Stop that! I should kill who?

I'm not doing that! Enough!

He just keeps going on!

Of course not. I'm God, I'm good.

I'm good to those who are good to me.

Mutual back scratching. I want my weekly cut.

Lord, what can I do to take their money?

I've tried everything.

Do what you've always done.

They want salvation, they gotta pay.

-That's the business. -Okay. I'll try harder.

By the way, minister!

-A bike...? -I shouldn't, but I'll help you.

Here. It's blessed. Do your magic.

Great! Thank you, Lord.

And now the Church and the Holy Ghost call you

to test your faith

by buying this dishcloth!

Blessed, only R$ 59,90! Amen, folks!

-Amen! -There, there, there!

We cool, minister?

I want you to become mayor in Rio!

Why, God,

thank you so much for the invite.

But I don't like mixing things, I don't want to be in politics.

I think politics

should be separate.

The people need education, healthcare,

sanitation, not churches!

Are you going against the will of God, minister?

No, no! It's...

it's no problem!

I promise I'll take care of the people.

I'll do my best for the city of Rio.

I don't think you understand, minister.

I don't want you to be a good mayor.

I want you to be a nonentity.

Don't do a thing, don't show up, live in Orlando for all I care.

But, but...

but when people vote for me, they expect me to...

Jesus, I don't know if I'm speaking Portuguese with the pastor.

It's just that I speak in so many tongues!

You've said it loud and clear, Dad.

Understood?

Lord!

Don't worry, I won't even show up in public.

One more thing:

enough about this Carnival shit.

Let's go to Galilee.

Liverpool star Sadio Mane responds to Real Madrid transfer speculation - Duration: 4:15.

Sadio Mane says he never had any intention of leaving Liverpool despite rumours linking him with Real Madrid

Fans were anxious he was on his way out of Anfield due to lengthy contract negotiations last year

But he put an end to months of speculation when he agreed a new deal in November extending his stay at the club until 2023

Mane now believes Jurgen Klopp's Premier League leaders can get even better during the run-in

Last summer Real Madrid were said to be interested in signing him after he scored against the Spaniards in Liverpool's Champions League final defeat last May in Kiev

Read More Pep Guardiola demands more from Man City despite astonishing 29-0 run    But Mane said was only ever one thought in his mind, the Liverpool Echo reports

"Speculation is part of football," said the Liverpool forward. "You just learn to live with it and not to take it too seriously

"All I can say is that my only concern is Liverpool. Mo, Bobby. it seemed like everyone was signing contracts and they were saying: 'Hey Sadio, when are you going to sign?'

I said to each of them: 'Don't worry bro, I will sign'.  "And what did I do? I signed

so they are pleased now! Read More Liverpool's Alisson insists Man City are title-race favourites, not his leaders    "I'm very happy here and I think people are happy with me too

We want to write our names alongside the many great ones in the story of this club

Hopefully it's the beginning of something special."  Mane has been an integral part of a Liverpool side that stands four points clear of champions Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table having taken 60 points from their first 23 games – a club record

The 26-year-old, who arrived for an initial £30million from Southampton in 2016, recently celebrated his 100 appearance for the Reds, and scored his 10th goal of the season in the 4-3 win over Crystal Palace

And,  speaking to World Soccer,  Mane said: "I can't wait to lift a trophy with Liverpool

I know the fans are desperate for us to win the Premier League.  "It would be an amazing moment for the club

It has been far too long for a team the size of Liverpool.  "We believe we are heading in the right direction, but there are some very tough rivals – City were unbelievable last season and very strong again – but why not?"  Despite Liverpool's strong start to the season, questions were asked of their forward line after initial struggles following the World Cup

"We heard what some of the media were saying about us not starting off by playing as fast and exciting as last year, and we felt we weren't at our best ourselves at times," said Mane

"The results have been there but we know we could have done more with some of our performances

"We are very competitive but know there is even more to come, for sure. In many ways, the team is stronger and we have produced some very mature performances

"Hopefully we will hit our top form when it matters most."

Hi guys

Today on Coquamus, it's breakfast.

Waffles.

This is not a simple breakfast for weekdays

And so we need coffee!

Yay!

The ingredients are:

Flour, Corn flour, and Teff flour.

Bing!

Intermission about Teff

Teff is a grain grown in Africa

Here - in Ethiopia

These Africans are gathering the grain

whose seeds are very small.

#IlPOLIMIrisponde - Com'è possibile che reti definite "sicure" vengano violate? - Duration: 2:31.

It is actually not correct to say that the Facebook and Google networks

were violated: that did not happen, and it is unlikely to happen

in the future, at least on a macro level. This is because technology giants

like Facebook, Google and Amazon, the big companies that

we routinely trust with our data

are so large that they can dedicate resources to information security

that other smaller companies don't have.

What did happen, particularly in the case of

Cambridge Analytics which was linked to the US elections

but has also happened in other situations, was so-called Data Leaks

i.e. loss of data linked to the use of systems like Facebook

Google and other companies by so-called third parties

who accessed the data lawfully to carry our certain activities

and then used this data to carry out other activities.

Therefore, rather than an information security issue in the strictest sense

i.e. violating systems to illegally steal data

this is a privacy issue, in other words how the data is used

for what reasons and the contracts that often regulate transfer

of this data. Therefore, in a way, in the events that took place

particularly those involving Facebook, on the one hand Facebook itself

was deceived by third parties, but on the other it had obviously not

taken care of the data we entrusted to it. The question becomes:

is it sensible, reasonable of us as individual citizens and for society

as a whole to convey such a large amount of data to so few companies?

This is a sensible question to ask: on the one hand, as we said, obviously

very large companies can dedicate a lot of resources to protecting our personal data

on the other hand, such big companies with such a large concentration of data

become very big targets, and very big targets attract

very well prepared and motivated attackers.

I'm never alone.

I'm among the animals, I'm into the nature, I'm among childrenÖ

Children are the most motivational things for me, for real.

Because they ask me: "Sir, what are you doing?"

And I tell them: "You know what I'm doing? I really don't know. If I knew, I'd not do it."

So do it just like I do, don't worry about a thing.

So let them think we're crazy

BadarÛss, because he was a guyÖ He was a garbage punk, you know? He was found in the garbage

It was given by a prostitute, a bitch who used crack just like him as well

Then, everything he used to see in the streets and all what he caught there, he used to transform in "BadarÛss". She also used to say that he turned into BadarÛss

That's the reason why the name BadarÛss, and BadarÛss was foundÖ He was recognized in the middle of Cracol‚ncia

I used to paint things like pain, worriesÖ Most of the time it was stuffs like these, staring at other people and the suffering.

I used to paint open places the most, and they mean people hurted by sidewalks and by society's prejudice.

So have you thought about what I told you?

So, the public edict's issue. This year's edict is much more competitive.

Yep. There's a lot of people in this business, people trying to win this thinking of art. It's complicated. I don't know what to do about this.

That's the reason why we gotta understand exactly what kind of movie this year's edict want to, you know?

What if we'd do a project totally linked and done to the edict. That's the way we can earn some money, got it?

Think with me: instead of this one, let's do the easiest one

We could send this edict itself to the Culture Fund of your city

You're friend of the Secretary of Culture. It's a big deal!

No, no no! There's almost no money there, the guy just wanna do political thingsÖ It's election year, so this asshole is gonna fuck us up.

It's gonna be a pain in the ass and I don't give a fuck for that! It's election year. What if he's not gonna be re-elected?

What if the opposition party wins and we get screwed? What about us? No! No! No!

Let's wait the election ends. Then we think about this

Let's check the edict again, so. Think about this.

I've done a deep research. Well, it was superficial, but deep.

Think with me. I've taken a look at this city's gentrification trend in opposition to the people's right about the city.

An urban garden here, a little bike lane there, "There's no love in SP", in Guarulhos or somewhere elseÖ It's a thing.

If you turn the TV on, what will you see? Cracol‚ndia! Or it's something against or for it, but there's always something there

Let's work with this. If we think about the human rights, or about the city's right to have a festival

Tell me: what festival is gona refuse a project like this one? No one!

Think about a character who is a crack addicted or a "crack guy". He gotta be someone who stays there, someone who is in that atmosphere.

A "crack guy" related to something in the cityÖ LikeÖ

Property speculation!

Great! We're together now! Property speculation is perfect! We put together the "crack guy", the city and people's right about it. What d'you think?

No! No! No! Cracol‚ndia... The closest I've gone there was at Pinacoteca.

I don't even know Cracol‚ndia.

But you don't even need to know what to talk about that, my friend. If we have money to do this shit, we do what we want to

Money speaks any language! Any fucking language! Think about it.

I'm thinking about an article I've read in the internet once. I think we gotta a good character for our project

No fanfic bullshit! Its reality! REALITY!

What d'you think about it? A reality movie!

On demand and live! Cheers to our movie and to to the festival! It's perfect!

Have you done a copy-past on Glauber Rocha's article 'Aesthetic of hunger'?

I don't wanna be arrogant, but our project is awesome!

Fuck! A crack addicted who paints expressionist paintings? Perfect!

A criticism to society

A nowadays thing!

Liquid one!

Post-modern! Structuralist! Constructivist!

It's justified and inside the territory

Image progress! That's it! Inside, interÖ Interlanguage!

Multiplicity

-On underground! -Plurality! To the border!

-Social space -Gentrification

-OccupationÖ -Occupation by the "crack guy"!

-Occupation of the public places. -Give to public places a new meaning! That's it!

-How are we gonna give public places a new meaning? A counterpart! A course! -A workshop!

-On Cracol‚ndia. Masterclass! - A show class!

We just do something like that filmmaker, Fernando Meirelles, did! Like the great filmmakers!

That's it! Cac·! Cac·!

-We do an exchangeÖ -We put some crack guys to do this course

-I think it's a great idea! We do a brazilian exchangeÖ Worldwide, BrazilÖ A connection. -Connections!

Let's make a warm-up with music. Who knows what we do on wednesdaysÖ Today it's street "sarau" day

Hello, hello, community! Hello, hello, flow's people! Hello, hello, citizens! Hello, hello, young people! We're doing today the "sarau"

Indian BadarÛss is already here painting on the floor. We're right now waiting for people who wanna join us.

Due we make this "sarau" a thing.

That's how the poet says:

"A man with a pain

Is much more elegant

A man with a pain is much more elegant

Walk by side this way

As if was getting late on places

As if walked ahead

Carries the weight of the pain

As if carried medals

A crown, a million dollars

Or something like these

Opium, edens, analgesicsÖ

Don't tell me about pain.

Opium, edens, analgesics

Don't tell me about this pain

She's all I got

She's all I got.

Suffering is gonna be my last job"

Paulo Leminski

-Cheers to the "sarau"! - Following the list!

Lil' Southern Zone! Come on here! What's up?

I'll tell you what: we need to reproduce all his home into the studio

In order we can have total control of light and plan, got it?

Total control of the movie's aesthetic potential

I've thought about this: check it out, in black and white

We begin in a camera rolling in a dolly, doing travelling

We're in the street where BadarÛss lives in

With a lot of elements, recyclable resources, politicians ads, let me see what elseÖ BadarÛss' paintings, religious materialsÖ

Just a messÖ Polluted, but organized, highly stylized, and in the middle off all that there'll beÖ

BadarÛss!

A cam comes, gets closer of him, gets focused on BadarÛss' eyes, it cuts to the b/w and we can hear the sounds of the city

Are you sleeping? Wake up! What?

Turn your Mac on! Wake up for life! It's on Official Daily! How come it's not open? Wake up for life!

Dude, we won the edict! The whole thing is ours now! I knew we'd win it all with this project

We'll win it all, a lot of prizes, a lot of festivalsÖ How come you don't believe this? Turn this shit on! "It's us", dude!

We won this edict and your project is awesome! Our project! BadarÛss will be a worldwide success now!

Holy fuck! It's real cinema, bro! It's fuckin' real cinema!

Holy shit! This set is fuckin' great! Fuck!

-Stop it all! He's here! -Who is here?

-The great artist! -BadarÛss! The great artist!

-The giant's meeting! - The Basquiat of Cracol‚ndia! Awesome!

-Come over here! Check this out! -What is this?

-Nothing. -It's real cinema! He's ready! Come on, people!

Silence!

Go, camera! Go, travelling! Action!

I'm checking the raw footageÖ Can you hear me?

I'm checking it and I don't think this part about the cops is good. You know, they were cool with us and allowed us to film in their placeÖ

I'm cutting this part here nowÖ "Take the cops off - it causes trouble"... OK, check this out as well

YesÖ Let's pause here about the raw footage, 'cause IÖ

-I need to take a shit. It's a fuck! Are you gonna stay here or... -I'm gonna downstairs to smoke a joint.

17,8% for you, 17,8% for meÖ This is the fee, let's check it this hereÖ Raw, this is the raw

Let me put this on the spreadsheet due we can know how much we needÖ OK, discount our costs and we make the film with the other part

There's the discount. I'll just put a bit more for us due the due we don't have to handle with the discount

They wrote a lot of articles about me, interviewing me, made documentaries, moviesÖ

And magazineÖ And everything, speculation, but no one gave me nothing ever since

It was just like an illusion in my mind.

There are only the paints left for me. They've used my image around the world for a lot of things

Nowadays they don't talk to me. They don't even come to say "hello" to me

I think it was like they invaded my mind, my soul and my spirit

It became a confusion and a mess in my mind. I live with no direction, no route and no document

Once I don't know where to go, I can't stop painting. How many times I've destroyed my own paintings?

It was because of the mess they've done with me, the cheating, the lie

I almost got crazy. They even showed me on TV just to deceive me, but they didn't. They've deceived themselves

Because they weren't honest with me. I guess they think this way

"It's good to drive this guy crazy, because we can earn money with his paintings"

Where to begin? I don't know

But I know that without my friend, my family and without the brazilian artists, I couldn't make it

Of course, I can't forget the Support Law of Federal Government, State Governments and mayorship

This movie was only possible because of you! We need laws to change the national culture!

For we change the whole culture!

This award is ours! It's of national cinema! And mr. producer, thanks a lot! You were great! You were fuckin' awesome!

Thanks to everyone!

I almost forgot. Finally, my great friend

I'm so sorry. It's a bit hard to meÖ IÖ I just can say BadarÛss

BA DA R"SS

He's a brazilian people's representant. This award is for the culture and for brazilian people!

Thanks a lot!

It's art! It's cinema!

This country was built by black people's and indian's blood,

When you came, the indians were already here. Indians and caboclos own these lands.

Every corner and every piece of this floor you can see here

There's spilled blood of caboclos, indians and black people here

They're the heirs of these lands and you'll never kill them all.

"THIS IS NOT A PIPE"
