Previously on The Traveling Together Journal.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at a trailer park in Cancun.

Matt surfed the Caribbean Sea for the first time and we

had a logistics adventure trying to order a new camera in Mexico

We've arrived in Puerto Morelos for the second time for Matt and I.

We had seen this sweet alleyway when we came here before and checked it out. We were like I can't think

we can camp here. So we told our new friends that we met at the RV park in

cancun about this sweet alleyway and they came and saw whether or not they

could fit their huge 5th wheel. There's plenty of room.

This was great advice.

So we are all gonna camp in this alleyway in this

beautiful resort town Puerto Morales.

It's a beautiful morning in our little alleyway.

So I've got to use the restroom

and I really need a cup of coffee so I'm gonna go see if I can score one in the resort.

Bathrooms right there.

Alright, I have success two hot cups of coffee. And I was able to pee next to the pool.

not in the pool though, not like like really next to the pool but there are always bathrooms next to the pool.

Matt and I are thoroughly enjoying our all-inclusive hotel experience.

We left our sweet little place by the resorts and we're headed into Puerto Morelos the actual town to go look for a catamaran for us to go sailing.

we're feeling pretty confident that it's gonna be too expensive but we're gonna try and

see if we can find it anyways our friends that we've been hanging out with

said that they were willing to maybe split it with us if it wasn't too expensive.

Alright so we just got some good Intel from one of the guys who sells snorkel

trips and fishing trips. Couple let downs. One they don't rent the Hobie's at all

here because it is a protected reef and it's a federal offense for us to go

sailing or fishing so we can't do any spearfishing all fishing has to be on

the other side of the reef which is like 500 yards. You think that's a good guess? 500 yards?

500 yards from the shore is where the reef starts.

so yeah our hopes of

going spearfishing and then also renting the Hobie Cat got let down but at least we found out.

We've arrived in a place called Akumal. It's supposed to be known for swimming with giant turtles.

So we're gonna go try to swim with giant turtles.

We just had like a huge letdown we're pretty bummed we went to go snorkeling with the

turtles here at Akumal and multiple people were like you can't go with fins

We were like well okay, that's cool, that's fine. I get it. Protection of the turtles

No fins we can snorkel without fins no problem. They also insist and it's it's

the law that you have to wear a life vest. Well we don't have life vest so not

only is it super lame that we'd have to wear life vests and not have fins

because you're not gonna go anywhere if you're trying to kick with a life vest

on but you have since we don't own our own we'd have to rent them so it's like

we just paid 50 pesos to park here and now we have to rent a life vest.

So we're just pretty like annoyed and then you have to go if you want to go outside of

the buoyed area you also have to have a guide so we would have to pay for a

guide and snorkelling is like easy and it should be a free activity and it

shouldn't have to wear life vests so like I get why they have to make

protections especially in such a crowded area but we just don't really need to

see turtles that badly we've seen Turtles before and we're likely to just

be able to go down a little bit and find some more turtles.

We are headed down to Punta Allen and it seems like it a somewhat of a national park kind of area.

We will have to pay like a small Park entrance fee and there's lots of wild

camping along the narrow landmass.

So we already have plenty of food really for

the next few days but after reading all the reviews of Punta Allen and then also

the wild camping options in-between Tulum and Punta Allen we've decided to

stock up even more. Even more water which we almost never do.

So we are feeling pretty optimisitic we're really gonna

love this place like everybody else who went there and will be there maybe like 4, 5, maybe a week.

well we are having one of those travel days where things just don't seem to be going very well for us.

We just drove all the way through this little hippy beach community of Tulum to get to the national park and we get to the gate

where we're supposed to pay for camping and he sees our dog and says absolutely no.

You can't even go to Punta Allen which is a town and there's all these

camping places like established camping places and they all say the dogs are

okay we like looked and so we don't know this must be some new rule just like the

life vests at the Turtle Beach a new rule so it's just yeah this is a really

disappointing afternoon and we're now getting into that hour where we need to

figure out where we're gonna camp.

As we made our way back through Tulum Amie searched the area and found a spot called Playa Parisio that sparked our

interest so we have set our course in that direction but it wasn't smooth sailing yet.

This officer pulled us over for speeding despite the fact that we

were in congested traffic while passing through his small town.

It was 4:30 so when he said that the police station was closed

It was actually believable, but since he was going to take our license which is what they do

when they actually write you a ticket we asked him where we could camp and

then I chimed in and said you can camp at the police station which is what you

can do and then I busted out the camera and I got a footage of him so I think

you might have seen that as I was putting it away

and he just never really got around to asking for an actual bribe

so I just think that we must have said the right things and understood just enough Spanish. He let us go. but

But I was definitely sitting there going like seriously what else is going to go wrong today

like why why this day but we got let off. We're on our way to Playa Parisio

and the reviews from ioverlander make it sound pretty sweet.

So hopefully all in all the day ends well we have a beautiful place to find home for a week or so

It was a long day. Few disappointments and a little bit of stress with the police and stuff,

but it feels really nice to be on a beach and not currently feeling like

we're surrounded by huge resorts and tons of people and stuff. Not really my thing.

And it's beautiful night hardly any clouds lots of stars and it just feels

nice to be out here sea breeze. It's good.

Early this morning we had to move the kitchen because it's so windy on shore I

probably wasted so much gas trying to make my coffee this morning. So we are just going to rotate the truck.

yeah it looks good.

Alright, it's been three nights so far at Playa Parisio on the Caribbean coast of Mexico and the

Austrian guy here is so nice. He took our trash that we had picked up yesterday

evening and said he would take it to the facility for us since he goes there

regularly to take the stuff that he cleans up he cleans up the beach for

like maybe an hour every morning I've noticed.

And last night he hooked us up

with these awesome homemade coconut drinks.

Tastes like coconut and alcohol

well we talked to some locals and they said this is the normal weather for this

time of year so I don't think there's much point in waiting for the glassy day

doesn't really sound like it happens that often.

So I'm going to go snorkeling

figured we're out here might as well get in the water check it out

maybe the visibility is a little better than it looks out there.

Guys I'm pretty worried about Matt so this storm just whipped in. Like it was

raining it's a little bit and now it's just sort of pouring and tons of wind

and Matt is out there spearfishing and I don't see his buoy

That was truly truly terrifying. I've never been so afraid of losing someone I love.

So I was running down the beach because the wind was blowing in that

direction so I figured if Matt, because he's smart he's a good swimmer he was

getting blown in that direction he would swim in that direction but he would swim towards Shore

So I just started running and this

fisherman I tried to say something to them hoping that would maybe I don't

know maybe take me on the boat to go looking for him and they waved me away

and I didn't want to go push it because the Austrian guy had said that at night

people scanned the beach looking for like cocaine and stuff like drugs

because this is the direction of the wind it all gets blown here that's why

there was so much trash here I don't want to push it they told me go away

away away so I just kept running down the beach and then the guy actually came

running towards me I think he realized that I just needed help and I was able

to tell them what happened my husband is out there spearfishing and he had a buoy

and they said okay yeah we've seen him like he's way out there so they started

to get the boat ready and I said like do you know where it's at like I can't I

can't see it they kept pointing in there I'm like so you can see it and they're

like yeah so eventually I saw it and Matt was swimming directly in shore

So those are the fishermen that were gonna help me out

And there's Matt.

So you were worried?

Well just cuz I woulda cut my head in the water so I

didn't see this wall coming and then all of a sudden the visibility went from

like 20 to 25 feet down like 10 feet and like I was out all the way on the reef

and I was like trying to follow these snapper on kind of like a shallower

section and all of a sudden the waves started breaking over the top of the

other you so then I I couldn't see like float anymore so I like pop my head up

and I could see like the wind waves it started like it pulled the weight along

the bottom like it got loose from its spot where I put it

so I think that is scary anyways I was really worried you were

gone a really long time I hadn't seen your buoy a long swim I barely got to

like start fishing and then that swell came in it's like just when I started

finding some like piece of fish

well I'm glad you're okay me too we've been having lots of squalls come

in and Matt and I have retreated to inside the camper I'm just working on

some videos and see Matt is studying a little Spanish working on it so

experience another little flash storm I'm gonna been here for over a week I'm

running out of water now getting some water

the next day the weather cleared and some other campers showed up then some

more campers and before we knew it we were having an overlander party at one

point the fellows were all playing pit crew helping James rotate the tires on

his delica I shot a couple of fish and him you made everyone a great ceviche

Christa showed us how she makes bread and a camper without an oven and we all

sat around talking story and goofing off into the night

meeting other travelers is great we generally make quick friends over our

common interests but it is bittersweet as we are all on our own journey and it

was only a day or two before I tried disbanded and we each set out in our own

direction not knowing if we would cross paths again we just left

quiet powdery steel and we were there for nine days because

it definitely was paradise at least it was for us and we really wanted to relax

and enjoy Mexico just a few more days longer before we go to a more costly

police on today's agenda we have got to take

Jagger in for a vet visit and it's mellow we just got to get a health

certificate so we're going to head into the city of Chet small get of that visit

hopefully go to Walmart and stock up on all our dried goods since police is

known to be more expensive and we're hoping to end the evening back

at Lake Bach alarm and will stay there probably two nights resting and cleaning

and getting ready for the big order date all right bribed at a place called happy

doggy and this is gonna be our first attempt at trying to get Jagger and help

certificate well we got his health certificate it took a lot of explaining

cuz she it was just like a letter it wasn't like an official form and they

didn't say anything about his rabies vaccinations so we would have spent like

300 pesos for nothing and then they add all the stuff all the

vaccinations to the sheet and then she prints it off and the signature part is

on a second piece of paper you're like that's not gonna cut it either so she

then has to do it again we were total pains but for a piece of paper they got

a lot of money out of us all right we're back at Lake baccala for a second time

you know it's Friday it's still pretty tranquilo here I think tomorrow it

should be busier but they have some new improvements they have a swing set in

the water next to these like precious stone things they don't want anybody to

play on I don't know what they're trying to build oh they were there maybe it was

another swing set

we were going to head to beliefs tomorrow but we ended up just kind of

getting distracted working on another episode and then we hadn't actually

researched beliefs hardly at all so we kind of tried to put a hard day's work

really hard day of looking into the kind of things that we want to do and I think

we've got a pretty good game plan but yet we know that every day brings new

ideas and changed minds so with that idea we are setting off on Monday and we

really do need to leave on Monday I think like the last possible day that we

can leave is technically Tuesday so we want to have an extra day just in case

anything were to go wrong some of our new friends from Playa Paraiso happened

to show up at the same campsite as us and we all decided to walk into town for

some dinner and to check out the local craft shops we had heard about while

walking on the street window shopping we noticed a commotion in the tree above us

and realize it was full of bats enjoying the plentiful flowers

we got everything out of the back of the truck and we are getting ready to try to

smuggle some dog food a little bit of fear it's very classy boxes of wine

anything to save a few dollars and that's back there cleaning out the

details of the truck

exciting times this morning we are on day 179 meaning we have to leave Mexico

by tomorrow we are headed to the police border right now we've got two quick

stops we're going fill up our propane bottle

and get some gasoline and be in Belize in a few hours

feeling pretty good about this propane refill station it's been 13 days since

they've had an accident way to go guys

we currently just scrounged up our last bit of pesos and we are hoping to get it

all into the gas tank and if there is anything left over I'm gonna go buy our

favorite cookies Matt and I just went on a oXXO shopping spree we got some

electrolyte drinks some cookies and four things of ice cream and we spent all the

way down to three pesos left I don't think there's anything in that store we

could buy it for three pesos so now we're ready to go to the border next

time on the traveling together journal we cross the border into beliefs where

we are met with some heavy weather and a new mode of transportation as Matt lends

a hand on this human-powered ferry

Good morning, today we want to recommend this dish: Sushi Potatoes - Made In Daiyiro

It is a different Sushi, it is about replacing the fish with Grilled Chicken Breast and Rice with Mashed Potato, accompanying it with a piece of Natural Tomato.

In an obvious attempt to clear his already muddied name, James Comey confirmed that his

decision to announce that the FBI was going to once again look into the Hillary Clinton

email investigation just days before the election was influenced by his belief that she would

beat Donald Trump and his biased desire to make sure that the election results were viewed

as legitimate.

In an interview, Comey told ABC News's George Stephapoluslos, "I don't remember consciously

thinking about that, but it must have been because I was operating in a world where Hillary

Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump, and so I'm sure that it was a factor."

He later went on to add, "I don't remember spelling it out, but it had to have been,

that she's going to be elected president and if I hide this from the American people,

she'll be illegitimate the moment she's elected, the moment this comes out.

Here is the full text of the letter Comey wrote to Congress:

"Dear Messrs. Chairmen:

I write to supplement my October 28, 2016 letter that notified you the FBI would be

taking additional investigative steps with respect to former Secretary of State Clinton's

use of a personal email server.

Since my letter, the FBI investigative team has been working around the clock to process

and review a large volume of emails from a device obtained in connection with an unrelated

criminal investigation.

During that process, we reviewed all of the communications that were to or from Hillary

Hillary Clinton during her constant blame game as to who was at fault for her losing

the 2016 Presidential Election has said she thinks the letter Cmey sent to Congress on

October 28, 2016, which read that the FBI would be once again looking at the email investigation

killed her chances of winning.

Clinton even went as far as saying Comey had "Shivved" her in her book "What Happened.

Comey did also go on to state in the interview that part of the reason he chose to write

a book about what went on during the 2016 campaign season is to explain his side of

the story, And to maybe help readers realize that he wasn't trying to hurt or help any

candidate.

He was just trying to do the right thing.

"Former FBI Director James Comey decided to go public with the bureau's 2016 investigation

into Hillary Clinton's email, in part because he wanted to prevent the former Secretary

of State from being perceived as "illegitimate" if she prevailed in the general election,

Comey told ABC News in an interview.

In a partial transcript of Comey's eagerly anticipated interview with the network, the

former FBI chief explained to ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos that he was "operating in

a world where Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump, and so I'm sure that

it was a factor."

He added: "I don't remember spelling it out, but it had to have been, that she's

going to be elected president and if I hide this from the American people, she'll be

illegitimate the moment she's elected, the moment this comes out," according to ABC

's transcript.

Conventional wisdom had Clinton winning the hotly contested general election.

The Democrat led most national polls for months, only to lose the Electoral College vote to

Trump in a shocking November defeat.

The former Secretary of State and her supporters have blamed Comey's 11th hour disclosure

of the investigation for her loss.

Comey, however, couldn't say definitively whether his letter to Congress actually killed

her chances, but said he would do it again, even if he knew it would help Trump.

When asked about if the letter had hurt Clinton, Comey told ABC: "I hope not.

I don't know.

I honestly don't know.

I sure hope not."

The interview is tied to the release of Comey's book, "A Highly Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and

Leadership," scheduled to be released on Tuesday.

In recent days, a war of words has erupted between Comey and his former boss, President

Donald Trump.

The president has heaped much of the blame for his ongoing legal troubles on the FBI,

and just Friday blasted Comey as an "untruthful slime ball."

Since his abrupt firing last year, Comey has taken to social media to make cryptic and

subliminal digs at his former boss.

Yet ahead of the publication of his book, he issued an uncharacteristically blunt response

to Trump, vowing last month that the public would hear his side of the story "very soon."

A Higher Loyalty, Truth, Lies, And Leadership by James Comey comes out on Tuesday, April

17th.

HOW TO MAKE CHURROS - EGG FREE with Chocolate - Duration: 6:37.

A huge welcome to Steve's kitchen in Perth. We've only been here a few days

and I fancied getting my eye in and doing some cooking in the kitchen. Now we

haven't got many ingredients, I do actually have a bag of chocolate so

that's a good start but apart from that we've only really got flour, water, a

little bit of sugar. So keeping with that sort of

Mexican theme I'm actually going to go for churros but not the traditional

churros or the traditional churros that we have today with the egg and the

butter and we're going for churros from the old traditions of the Spanish and

Portuguese. We're just going to be doing this egg and butter free, which is flour,

water and a little bit of seasoning but trust me even though this sounds simple

they're going to taste so so good. Come on let's make traditional churros.

Now make a note the beauty of this recipe is we're using equal quantities of

water by flour. So I've got a cup of flour here and a cup of water, the same

size. For those of you that care, the boring statistics, this is 200 grams of flour

and this is about 300 milliliters of water and I think that's about 7 ounces

just a little bit over and a cup and a third. First things first, we want to take

our water and heat it up on the stove. Now we're just going to get the water to

come up to a rolling boil like that and then going to turn the heat off. I'm

going to add in a couple of tablespoons of olive oil, we're going to season the

water with about half a teaspoon of salt. Now we're going to add our flour into the

water and I'm going to mix the flour and the water together but we don't want to

over mix. Don't worry if there's lumps in there and bits of flour. Now our dough at

the moment is going to be piping hot so I'm going to leave it for no longer than five

minutes to cool down. Which is the perfect amount of time for us to make a

delicious chocolate dipping sauce. I've got my chocolate melts, just nip the top

off. We want about a cup of melts into a microwave-safe bowl, into that we're

going to add about half a cup of whipping cream. Just pour it over the

chocolate, now we're back with the Mexican influences. I'm going to add a

little bit of chilli flakes in with the chocolate and cinnamon, cinnamon and

chocolate go really well together. Probably about a quarter of a teaspoon

in, then the whole bowl goes into the microwave for about 30 seconds to 60

seconds. The creams going to heat up and melt the chocolate, we're going to have a

lovely sauce. Now it looks as if those chocolate melts haven't melted but if I

get the whisk in there and give it a good stir through you'll see it'll all

come together into a beautiful thick and rich

chocolate cream. In those few moments the dough has cooled down. I'm just going to

take some olive oil, put it onto my counter top, maybe about a tablespoon. I'm

then going to turn that raggy dough out onto the counter, a little more olive oil

over the top and we're just going to pull this dough into the center,

push it down, a couple of folds over, doesn't need any more than that. It

doesn't matter that it's still a little bit raggy,

you see what we're doing is minimal handling of the flour and the dough so

that we don't get too much gluten. We want this churro batter to be nice and

light and flaky. Now I'm using a piping bag and I think about a 3/4 of an inch

star nozzle, pop that into the bag but also because this is a pretty solid

batter I'm actually going to double bag this, it'll just stop the bag from

splitting. If you have a stronger piping bag you won't have to worry about this

but I suggest if you're using zip locks or piping, make it double the thickness.

I'm going to get my dough up together, form it into a little bit of a cone, I'll

drop it into the bag, give it a little shake down. Now bear in mind that this is

still warm but you can see the batter is going to come out beautifully. On the

stovetop I've got a pan of hot oil, it's about 350 degrees Fahrenheit, 175 degrees

Celsius. Now I'm just going to squeeze the churro mix into the hot oil and cut it

off with a pair of scissors, maybe about three or four inches in length. I'm going

to do four to five churros. Now with the heat of the oil they seem as if they're

going to stick but as they go a little bit golden brown you'll find you can

disconnect them with a slotted spoon or a pair of tongs and do be careful with

the hot oil. You may need to turn them once or twice but when they're golden

brown we're just going to lift them out of the oil and pop them onto a paper

towel to drain. Now it smells delicious in here, they've come out really beautiful,

there's no sugar in this batter so they don't go Brown too quickly, which is

absolutely perfect for what we want. Now I want to coat these over in a lovely

cinnamon and sugar, three or four tablespoons of castor sugar or superfine

sugar into a bowl, about half a teaspoon of powdered cinnamon, give that a little

mix through so we've got a lovely cinnamon sugar.

Now those lovely crisp churros are going to go into a bowl, I'll sprinkle that

sugar over the churros. Now it's best to do this while they're still hot and I'm

going to get my hands in there and give them a good coat over. So I'll just take

some churros, put them on to a little serving plate

here. I think I'm going to have four of them. Now I've got that delicious chocolate

sauce, a little bit of Chili and spice in it. Now I can't wait to get tucked in, so

here goes, such few ingredients but such delicious smelling. Let's see how it

tastes, oh yeah holy guacamole.

can see, we've only been here a few days and I've been able to make something that

Michele and I are going to really enjoy. So I'm going to finish the video here, give

Since pregnancy essentially means a mother is eating for two, it is important to pay

attention to how eating habits have changed since before pregnancy began.

It may be difficult to reduce calorie intake to non-pregnancy level, but this will doubtless

help reduce a pregnancy belly.

Start diet alteration by replacing unhealthy foods with healthy ones, then begin to work

on calorie reduction.

Consult a doctor about maintaining proper nutrition after pregnancy, especially if breastfeeding.

The final major factor to losing a pregnancy belly is exercise.

Due to the expansion in the midsection, abdominal muscles will have loosened and stretched,

giving the belly a flabby look.

Although it may seem like a thousand ab crunches a day is the only answer, don't panic.

Consider adding a Pilates or yoga routine to exercise regime.

David Buckel: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

A lawyer known for being a champion of LGBT rights died early Saturday morning after setting himself on fire in Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

"I am David Buckel and I just killed myself by fire as a protest suicide," said a hand-written note on the grass near the remains, according to the New York Daily News.

"I apologize to you for the mess.".

The remains of David S.

Buckel, 60, were found near Prospect Park West near a popular trail used by joggers and bikers.

Police told the Associated Press he was pronounced dead at about 6:30 a.m.

While it appeared he burned himself to death, the NYPD said the cause of death is still under investigation.

Buckel left a suicide note in a shopping cart not far from his body and also emailed it to several news media outlets, according to The New York Times.

The note urged people to lead less selfish lives in a way to protect the planet, and said that he hoped his death was "honorable" and "might serve others.".

Here's what you need to know:.

Buckel Set Himself on Fire to Protest Fossil Fuels and Bring Awareness to the Environmental Impact Humans are Having on the Earth.

In the note Buckel sent to The Times at 5:55 a.

, he discussed the difficulty of improving the world "even for those who make vigorous efforts to do so.

Privilege, he said, was derived from the suffering of others, according to the Times.

"Many who drive their own lives to help others often realize that they do not change what causes the need for their help," Buckel wrote, adding that donating to organizations was not enough to make a real difference.

Buckel said he wanted his death to lead to increased action.

"Honorable purpose in life invites honorable purpose in death," he wrote, according to his note.

Buckel also wrote in his letter to the Times that "most humans on the planet now breathe air made unhealthy by fossil fuels, and many die early deaths as a result – my early death by fossil fuel reflects what we are doing to ourselves.

A Lead Attorney in Several High-Profile LGBT Cases, Buckel was a Considered a Champion of Gay Rights.

Buckel was the lead attorney in Brandon v.

County of Richardson in Nebraska, in which a county sheriff was found liable for failing to protect Brandon Teena, a transgender man who was murdered in Falls City, Neb.

The movie "Boys Don't Cry," won an Academy Award for Hilary Swank's portrayal of Teena in the film.

While serving as marriage project director and senior counsel at Lambda Legal, a national organization that fights for the civil rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, Mr Buckel was the strategist behind important same-sex marriage cases in New Jersey and Iowa, according to the Times.

The Times also reports that Susan Sommer, a former attorney for Lambda Legal, said Buckel was "one of the architects of the freedom to marry and marriage equality movement.

"He deserves tremendous thanks for recognizing this was in many ways at the heart of what it meant to be gay for many Americans and making it a priority," she said.

"I learned so much from him about the emotional center of what it means for a gay person not to be able to have all the protections for the person they love and that it's worth fighting for.".

The Times reports that one of the cases Buckel spearheaded, Nabozny v.

Podlesny, was the first time a federal court ruled that schools have an obligation to prevent the bullying of gay students, said Camilla Taylor, acting legal director at Lambda Legal.

Buckel's Suicide Letter States that Pollution "Ravages our Planet," Making it Inhabitable.

Buckel went to great lengths to make sure that first responders knew who he was and why he took his own life.

According to the Daily News, he stapled his business card to the hand-written note that was found near his body, and neatly typed a second, longer note that detailed his explanation for his suicide.

The envelope containing both notes were inside a garbage bag, placed in a shopping cart near the charred remains of his body, according to the Daily News.

"Pollution ravages our planet, oozing inhabitability via air, soil, water and weather," he wrote.

"Our present grows more desperate, our future needs more than what we are doing.".

Buckel was an Avid Gardener, Known to Neighbors as a Quiet, Serious Man.

Catherine Varous, a neighbor of Buckel's, said he was very active in gardening, and together they worked on the Greenest Block in Brooklyn competition, the Times reports.

Varous said she often saw Buckel and his partner at the Park Slope Food Co-op and a farmer's market.

"He was the quieter of the two," she told the Times.

"He was definitely more serious.".

Early morning joggers and bicyclists spotted the burning body as smoke wafted through the air on the first warm spring morning in Brooklyn.

Bicyclist Rahmin Pavlovic, 43, claims Buckel's choice spot for his death was no coincidence.

"It's definitely some kind of statement," Pavlovic told the Daily News.

"He did it out in the open, right near the main entrance.

Not in some tucked-away part of the park.".

Another bystander who was out jogging stumbled across the body before it was covered with up with a tarp.

"We were a little freaked out," the jogger told the Daily News.

Twitter Users Expressed Sympathy and Sadness at Buckel's Death, Called his Death an "Incomprehensible Loss".

Twitter was flooded with pain and grief over Buckel's death, with many expressing how deeply Buckel touched their lives.

While I was hanging up the laundry, the phone rang.

When I picked up the receiver, a thin voice said, "Hello?".

He continued, "Is now a good time?"

I thought this might be that "Hey, it's me" scam I heard on the news, so I raised my guard.

But then the voice said, "It's been a while. It's Rei."

Hello.

The owner of the voice was a boy who had lived in my home up until a few years later.

Long time no see, Tarou. How have you been?

Tarou's become an old man, huh?

Lately all he does is sleep there.

Is that right, Tarou?

How is Ayumu doing?

And Kyouko, too.

Ayumu is going to a prep school, and I guess you'd say Kyouko is a temp worker.

She works here and there.

As I answered him, I was relieved that he came to visit when I was alone.

If Kyouko and Ayumu were here, this living room would have become cold in an instant.

Just like it did back then.

Um, these are sweets from a shop run by a family that's been helping me a lot lately.

So please.

That's right. These days, in this house, no one speaks his name anymore.

I apologize for not being able to visit in a long time.

"I was worried about you since you never came by."

I was going to say that, but stopped myself.

This boy understood everything

and did us a favor by staying away.

As I awkwardly sat with him, unable to look him in the eyes,

he still sat across from me.

He seems much more mellow now.

He'd become an adult.

Is he the same age as Ayumu? I can't believe it.

My son hasn't even changed, and he's still a child.

I realized my children were no match for him at a fairly early stage.

It was a simple situation.

Anyone could see that the amount of practice he did was unbelievable.

But if they didn't want to lose to him, they would have to practice even more than he did.

It was a simple answer.

However, could they do it? No, they couldn't.

He silently embodied sound reasoning and in his presence,

my children's own weakness made them lose their equilibrium

and they collapsed into pieces.

When my own children turned against me, I was lost,

and my husband silently watched it all unfold.

"People who need other people to motivate them will eventually come up against a brick wall."

That was his view.

Unable to look at their weak selves,

they became caught up in enjoyments within their reach.

One day, Ayumu declared, "Being able to make an effort is a talent too!"

To those words, my husband just chuckled, "Haha."

I think that was the moment he gave up on Ayumu becoming a professional shogi player.

Being around that boy, they realized that people who wanted to reach a certain place

had to pursue it to that extent.

I always thought "only a small handful of people can become what they want to be."

and I never thought about what you have to do to become something.

And so that boy's situation was a dreary weight on my chest.

And then one day, I finally came to a realization.

That my husband had a similar childhood as that boy.

I thought I understood, but I really didn't.

Looking past shogi, out of all the people in the house,

the person my husband related to the most wasn't a family member, but that boy.

He was wholeheartedly dedicated to shogi,

silently studied and did homework,

and even helped out around the house.

He really was a good boy.

But that made my children suffer all the more.

Why is he such a good boy?

Why didn't my children turn out like that?

What were the differences between the way his mother raised him and how I raised my kids?

Did I fail in raising my children?

Or is he just playing the role of a "good boy" as best he can since he's a freeloader?

Maybe he's laughing at us behind our backs.

No…

That's wrong.

He was…

Rei really was…

just a really good boy.

My children understood that, and so did I.

We took advantage of him.

We took advantage, pushed him away, treated him shoddily,

and didn't give him a place to belong.

And so he felt like…

"The longer I'm around, the more strained everyone's relations will become."

But he didn't even say that.

He just quietly left the house.

When the five o'clock bell rang out, Rei got up from his chair.

He said, "Well…" and skipped any other closing remarks,

apart from, "I'll come again."

"Yes, come again", I answered.

After all, what else could I say?

After Rei left, I started preparing dinner in the kitchen.

As always.

Even if no one calls me, I stand here every day.

I make dinner and wait for everyone.

That night, I had a dream.

In the dream, Rei was really my son.

Now that he was my son,

Rei was sprawled out in the living room, eating junk food, watching TV,

and when I told him to go to bed, he retorted, "Oh, be quiet!"

I thought to myself, "Well! He's the same as Ayumu and Kyouko."

I was disappointed and yet also…

profoundly relieved.

February 3rd, I went bowling with my, then, host family.

For a student fund or something like that.

It was before the Superbowl, so the BOWLing event was called the super BOWL

('cause it was bowling).

I think most of us had a good time.

Three days after going bowling, eh, on Tuesday, I moved out of their house.

I can't exactly tell you why, but I'll narrow it down to a misunderstanding.

But that's all in the past now, SO WHATEVER.

I lived with my local coordinator, her husband, and pets for the rest of the week.

I'm still sorry that they had to endure the emotional wreck I was after, well, going through

an emotional situation.

On Saturday, the tenth of febuary, our happy little group of exchange students went to see the Kwahadi

Dancers winter show.

It was an interesting compilation of Native American dances as well as a clown group.

I found it quite intriguing to watch.

Afterward, we, Vince, Fanni, Dominik, Marinne, our local coordinator and I got some ice cream

at Braum's.

The very next day, I met my new host family.

We talked for about two hours and they decided they want to host me.

*YAAAY*

So, I got all of my stuff, and moved in.

On Valentine's day, Erik, Alex, Andrew and I wanted to go to the mall.

We ended up going on the Friday after, which was the 16th.

I also finally saw Justice League and OMG Aqua Man, Viking, please marry me.

We, my host family and I also went bowling on the 24th.

As you can see, I like to go bowling.

So, I guess that's all for this months episode.

*indistinct chatter in the background*

"Oh.."
