Youtube daily report w Apr 7 2018

Hello.

My name is Emma, and in today's video we are going to talk about mistakes and why we should

make them, and: What should we do when we make them?

Okay?

So, I hope you're making mistakes; very, very important when you're learning anything.

Whether it's math, science, English, French, Spanish, Chinese - you want to make mistakes.

Okay?

I cannot say that enough.

If you're not making mistakes, then you're doing something wrong because if you're making

mistakes it means you're actually using the language or, you know, you're actually...

It's very important in the learning process to make mistakes.

So, in this video I'm going to teach you six ways or six steps on how to improve with mistakes.

Okay?

So, before I get started, I just wanted to again say: Please, please, please make mistakes,

especially when you're learning a language because mistakes equal good learning.

Okay?

So, I...

You know, I know a lot of students when they go out and they're talking to a native speaker,

they feel so embarrassed.

"Oh my goodness, I just...

I can't believe I just said that.

I made a mistake with the present perfect.

Oh my god", it's not a big deal, you should be making these mistakes.

So, the first step on how to learn from your mistakes is: Give yourself permission to make

mistakes.

Okay?

You want to tell yourself it's okay, and I can't stress this enough.

Tell yourself: "I need to make mistakes.

Today I'm going to try make mistakes.", "Another mistake?

Yay me.

Woo!

Very good."

Okay?

So give yourself permission.

Don't look at mistakes as a bad thing because they are not a bad thing.

Mistakes, when learning a language, are actually a good thing.

So, step two: Once you give yourself permission to make mistakes, you should start to know

your mistakes.

Okay?

What are the mistakes you're making?

So one way you can find out what mistakes you're making is you can ask your teacher,

or your friend, or, you know, somebody you're close to, maybe your classmate.

You can ask them: "What's my biggest mistake?

When I speak English, what's my biggest mistake?

In my writing, what's my biggest mistake?"

Okay?

So a lot of the times other people can help and tell you what your biggest mistake is.

Another thing you should be asking: "Why is it a mistake?

What is the problem with this?

Why is it a mistake?"

Okay?

A lot of the times with students I've found, and I'm also guilty of this, I remember in

university I would write an essay and I would get all these comments on my essay and I'd

also get a mark or a grade, you know, like A+, B, whatever.

And I remember always looking just at the percent I got or the grade, and not looking

at the comments.

Those comments that your teachers write actually tell you a lot about the mistakes you're making,

so please, please, please see that, read it, focus on it, and think about it.

Okay?

Whatever your teacher writes on your essay, on your test, take a moment to really think

about that mistake.

Also, another way to know what mistakes you're making is you can think about what mistakes

are common for people speaking your language.

So, for example, if a Spanish person is learning English, maybe they say: "I am agree", which

is fine in Spanish, but in English it's a mistake; or maybe if you're Brazilian, you

want to say the word "red" but you say the word "head" because the R sound and the H

sound, I think, you know, with Brazilian students this is often a pronunciation mistake.

So think about: What mistakes are common for your culture?

We have a lot of resources on this on engVid actually, where you can actually see common

mistakes for your language.

Okay.

I'm going to get into this in a moment with the next step, but I'll just say it right

now because I really want you to think about this: When you ask somebody: "What is my biggest

mistake?", try to focus on one mistake.

The issue a lot of students have is they go up to their teacher and they tell their teacher:

"Please, tell me all my mistakes.

I want to know every mistake I'm making."

That is a problem.

You don't want to focus on every mistake; it's too difficult.

Focus on one or two mistakes.

Okay?

You don't need to focus on all your mistakes at the same time; start small.

Okay, so now let's look at steps three, four, five, and six.

Okay, so, again, you're going to be making lots of mistakes and that's good.

When you're correcting your mistakes, you don't want to focus on fixing all of them,

because if you do that it's going to be really difficult and tiring for you, you're not going

to be that successful because it's too much work, and also if every sentence you're saying

you're fixing your English, it's going to be difficult for the listener to understand you.

So, what I recommend is: Choose a mistake you want to work on.

Prioritize the mistakes.

Which are the most important mistakes to fix, and which mistakes can you fix later; they're

not so important right now?

Okay, so for example, one mistake I think is the most important to fix is any mistakes

that are very embarrassing.

Okay?

So these are the mistakes where when you say them, people laugh, they think you said a

bad word or, you know, it's something very embarrassing.

So, for example, if you make pronunciation mistakes where you want to say: "I'm going

to the beach today", but you accidentally say this bad word in English, then this is...

You know, this might be a bit embarrassing for you.

It's the same with the words "sheet" and "shit".

There're tons of them, actually.

Another example of an embarrassing mistake, I remember when I was in Quebec learning French,

I made this mistake and I was embarrassed.

I wanted to say: "I'm bored", which means, you know: "I'm feeling bored.

[Yawns].

I'm bored right now."

But instead...

Instead I said: "I'm boring", which makes it look like I'm a boring person, so I insulted

myself by mistake and everybody laughed.

So look for when people laugh at what you say.

Anything embarrassing, those are the mistakes you really want to fix.

Another type of mistake that you can prioritize or choose are the mistakes that are very easy to fix.

Okay?

The nice thing about fixing these mistakes is you feel really good about it.

You know, sometimes when you're learning a language you start to feel bad because you

think: "Ah, I'm always making mistakes."

Choosing an easy mistake to fix can give you more confidence.

Okay?

So it's good to fix the easy mistakes.

An example of this is pronunciation.

With the numbers, a lot of students have trouble pronouncing numbers.

They try to say: "13" when they really mean "30" or vice versa, and people who are listening

don't really hear what they're saying.

We have a lot of videos on how to pronunciation numbers.

Very easy thing to do, very quick thing to fix.

So, you know, we'll post a link for these types of mistakes after.

Another thing that you can also prioritize or focus on is mistakes that cause a lot of

confusion.

So, you can focus on mistakes that when you speak the other person has no idea what you're

talking about.

Okay?

So, I'll give you an example.

If you say to somebody: "Oh, I listening."

Even though you made a grammar mistake, they understand what you said; there is no communication issues.

They understand you.

Yes, you made a grammar mistake, but they understand your meaning, so that's okay.

These are the mistakes you can correct a bit later.

Now, if you compare this to, for example, a common Brazilian mistake...

And I'm not picking on Brazil today, it's just the mistake I was thinking about earlier,

like I said, Brazilians often make mistakes with the pronunciation of R and H. If you

say: "I like head", but you really, really mean to say: "I like red", then that's going

to cause a huge confusion for the person who's listening to you.

Okay?

So, focusing on the mistakes that cause confusion are good mistakes to focus on.

You can also think about choosing mistakes that you make a lot.

You know, maybe, for example, you're always making mistakes with "ed" and "ing", and every

time you write something, your teacher writes back: "Oh, another mistake with 'ing'.

You need to fix this."

If you keep seeing the same mistakes, maybe try to work on those, too.

So you can use this as a way to prioritize.

Again, don't fix everything at once; pick a couple of mistakes to work on and just focus

on those.

All right, now let's look at some more steps on how to fix our mistakes.

Okay, so step four is when you actually fix the mistake.

Okay?

So once you know what mistakes you're making and which ones you really want to focus on,

then you fix it.

So, how can you fix your mistake?

Well, first of all, you can get feedback from a teacher, a classmate, a friend, a native

speaker, you know, just anyone you know who speaks the language or is learning the language.

And what you can do is you can ask them: "Please correct me when I make this mistake.

I don't know when I make it in conversation.

I want to fix it, so please tell me when I make a mistake with this word."

Or: "Tell me when I forget, you know...

Forget 'the' in the sentence."

That one probably isn't a good one because you'll probably be doing that a lot, but ask

your teacher to focus on that one mistake with you, or your friend, because that way...

Your teacher is not going to want to correct every single mistake because they're going

to worry about overwhelming you with mistakes and discouraging you.

So your teachers actually like to focus on mistakes, so if you ask them for a specific

mistake to help you with, they'll probably be very happy to do that.

Another thing you can do is you can look at our website at www.engvid.com.

We have a lot of resources there for mistakes, common mistakes people make, how to fix them.

So, check out our website for a lot of examples and, you know, for more practice.

There are also a lot of other online resources, you know, there's a lot of blogs, a lot of

different websites you can go to where you can actually check and double check how to

fix the mistake.

If it's a speaking mistake, a good idea is to actually tape record yourself speaking.

I have students who make the same mistakes a lot, and they don't hear themselves making

the mistake.

So when they speak, they say: "Oh, no, no, that's what I said.

No, no, no problem.

That's what I said."

But when they actually record themselves and listen to themselves speak, they're surprised

because they can actually hear: "Oh my goodness, I actually didn't say that."

or "Oh, I forgot, you know, the article", or: "Oh, I didn't actually use the present

perfect here."

Okay?

So tape recording yourself and listening for that mistake is a great way to become self-aware.

Another piece of advice is: Choose an appropriate time to correct your mistakes.

Okay?

If you're doing a presentation, maybe you're going to feel a lot of pressure and stress,

and maybe that's not a good time to focus on fixing your mistakes.

Maybe that's a good time to focus on just communicating in general, or maybe, you know,

you're in a meeting and you have a lot of information around you, you're trying to listen,

you're trying to do so many different things that maybe that's not a good time to focus

on fixing your mistakes either.

It's good to focus on fixing your mistakes in the classroom, during your free time, if

you go to a restaurant or a bar or something with a bunch of friends - these are great

times to focus on fixing your mistakes.

Another thing you can do is...

This is something you can do at home on your own.

Visualization where you imagine something in your head is actually really, really powerful.

It...

You know, there's a lot of research into this on how just imagining something actually can

do so many different things to your brain.

So, when you're learning a language, visualizing is actually very important; it can really,

really help with learning languages.

So, one thing you can do is you can imagine yourself, you know, making the mistake and

then correcting it.

Or you can imagine yourself saying, you know, the sentence perfectly, and really think about

it, and keep imagining it.

The more frequently you do this, the stronger your brain gets at recognizing these mistakes

and, you know, the more likely your brain will prevent you from making these mistakes.

So, visualization is very, very good to do.

Okay, great.

So now we're going to look at some more things you should do when you make a mistake.

Okay, the next step is: I think it's very important to keep a journal, or a diary, or

some sort of written record about the mistakes you're making, so that way you can go back

and you can check, and you can see: "Wow, look at how much I've improved."

You know: "I used to make this mistake all the time.

Now I only make it, you know, every so often, but not...

Not that often."

So, you know, it's a great thing to do to keep track of your mistakes.

So, keep a journal.

You can write: "This is a mistake I want to fix: When I speak English I always make a

mistake with the present perfect.

I always, you know, forget 'have'", or, you know: "I always confuse the past simple and

the present perfect."

So whatever your mistake, you can write it down.

You can also write down some things that you did right.

Okay?

When you're learning a language, you're so focused on the mistakes you're making and

you're so focused on: "Oh no, I made another mistake.

Oh no, I did this, I did that."

But a lot of the times people forget their accomplishments and the things they're actually

doing well.

So, I think it's really good to think about those things.

So, for example, maybe you, you know, made a mistake with "does", but you spelt the word

"dog" right at least, okay?

So you can write that down.

"Today I forgot 'the', but, you know, I wrote this word correctly or I used a really good

word today."

So remember: Keep track of your accomplishments, too.

You can also keep track of how often you're making the mistake, because this can actually

show improvement.

You know, maybe at the beginning I made the mistake 15 times today, and then after working

on it: "Wow, okay, I only made the mistake twice today.

I feel really, really good about that."

Okay?

It's okay to make the mistakes, it's just, you know, looking at how to improve and just

having some kind of measure can really help you feel good about yourself and really encourage

you in your English journey.

Okay, my next step, step six, again: Remind yourself it's good to make mistakes, and also,

you have to understand people who know the language are always making mistakes as well.

English speakers, people who are born with English as their first language in English

countries make mistakes all the time.

You may not realize it, but, you know, if you ever ask an English speaker: "Oh, 'lay'

versus 'lie'", or if you ask them: "How do I use 'whom' versus 'who'?"

most English speakers are not going to know because they do make a lot of mistakes in

a language.

Everybody makes mistakes, and so it's okay if you make mistakes, too.

It's something that you should be doing when you learn a language.

Okay?

So, I hope you've enjoyed this video.

I'd like to invite you to subscribe to my channel; I have a lot of great resources there

on all sorts of different topics, from mistakes to pronunciation, to grammar, and vocabulary,

just so many different resources.

I'd also like to invite you to visit our website at www.engvid.com; there, you can find a lot

more resources on, again, all sorts of different things.

And you can also take our quiz.

I'm going to put up a quiz about this video.

Just make sure that you understood everything and to practice some of these ideas in this video.

Finally, I'm also going to put some links in our description on some videos I think

that might be useful for you, especially videos to do with mistakes.

So, until next time, take care and thanks for watching.

Hello! Nice this clutch bag is not it? you can make it easy too by recycling one

a pair of jeans let's find out how ... Hello!

I cut a piece from the leg of a pair of jeans of jeans 13 cm wide then I did a

embroidery with the magic needle now I will go ironing the fabric

folding it in half. the two seams will have to overlap

now I turn the fabric backwards

stop the layers with pins

and I make two stitches backwards about 3 mm from the edge

I ran the two seams

on one side and on the other I left

3-4 cm not sewn so you can turn the work upside down.

before turning it over

but cut the corners being careful do not cut the seam

now we stretch the seams by opening them

at this point the work with delicacy

to avoid breaking the seams

let's do the stitching hidden away

with the hidden point the points

they will be just hidden inside of the folds of the fabric

now I'm going to take a slightly longer zipper than where I'm going to sew it

and sew the stitch backwards making the seam about 1-2 millimeters from the edge of the jeans

now I fix the zipper and fix it making sure the sides are

perfectly aligned

now we fold the fabric perfectly in half and fix it

let the zipper re-enter and then sew the clutch bag hidden

I will do this seam with the resistant thread that is usually used

to attach the buttons or to do the slots

once we get to the bottom we do the hidden point but taking the part

external of the cloth

if we have a personalized label Let's fix it on the opposite side

then as we have already done before let's get the zipper back

we hold everything with a pin and make the seams hidden

first in the inner folds and then in the outer folds

we bend the end parts to 45 degrees of the zipper and fix it

we cut the excess

we can equip our clutch bag also a keyring ring

here it is! our clutch bag is ready

Why you should make mistakes, and how to learn from them - Duration: 19:05.

Okay?

A lot of the times with students I've found, and I'm also guilty of this, I remember in

also get a mark or a grade, you know, like A+, B, whatever.

Why you should make mistakes, and how to learn from them - Duration: 19:05.

FBI Agent Goes Rogue – Stuns Nation With Major Announcement

A longtime veteran of the FBI just spoke out to reveal the truth behind the 13 indictments

White House Special Counsel Robert Mueller handed down last Friday.

Last week, Mueller's office announced that a grand jury indicted 13 Russian nationals,

along with 3 Russian entities, accused of "supporting the presidential campaign of

then-candidate Donald J. Trump … and disparaging Hillary Clinton."

The Gateway Pundit reported that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein admitted that no American

had knowledge they were interacting with Russians who were posing as Americans; the outcome

of the election wasn't impacted.

This means that Trump's campaign never did collude with Russia, just as the president

has said all along.

Now, reporter Paul Sperry has come forward to say that a veteran FBI agent told him that

the 13 indictments by Mueller are moot and it was done for show to solely justify the

Special Counsel's existence and salary.

Sperry tweeted, "BREAKING: This just in from a veteran FBI C.I. official: 'The 13

indictments by Mueller are moot.

These subjects are all in Russia and will never be arrested or incarcerated.

This is solely to justify his existence and salary.

This is a 'show' indictment for public relations.'"

This comes after it was announced that Mueller has reportedly just expanded his investigation

into Kushner's business dealings with foreign investors during the presidential transition

period.

Bizpac Review reported that Mueller's team has asked witnesses in interviews as recently

as this month about Kushner's negotiations for financing for

a

New York City office building owned by his family's company, Kushner Companies.

These new inquiries indicate that Mueller's interest in Kushner has grown beyond any contacts

he had with Russians during the 2016 campaign.

Mueller is especially interested in Kushner's meetings just after the election with the

chairman of Anbang Insurance, a Chinese company that purchased a stake in the Kushner Companies

property at 666 Fifth Avenue

in Manhattan.

Trump Just Sent HUGE Message To Dems With How He Lit Up The White House Last Night! - Duration: 4:42.

President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania have just sent a huge message to the Democrats

about how they lit up the White House.

It was a message to millions of people around the world to let them know they were important

and everyone cares for them.

It was a message to Democrats that the people in charge of the White House have a much bigger

message to Americans and that they are not what the mainstream media portrays them to

be.

So many people have turned the White House into a building filled with monsters, but

the real monsters are the people who fail to see the positive aspects and doings of

the sitting president.

The country needed change and they voted it in.

The White House was there, shining in glory, with a fine shade of blue.

This was for World Autism Day, which was celebrated on Monday, April 2, 2018.

This year marked a special time in American history as the white house was lit up and

sending a message to all who care, and even those who don't care.

It was a wonderful symbol that showed compassion and kindness.

Many people criticize President Trump and label him numerous different things.

Some say he's horrible, he's a tyrant, he's this and that.

However, the truth is the opposite.

He's none of those subjective opinions and he and Melania certainly do care about the

well-being of the American people.

Trump may not be the most "presidential" President in the sense that he's not a politician,

but he's certainly more caring than many people believe.

He's all about America and that's something critics can't take away from him.

This statement was posted on the White House website regarding World Autism Day: "World

Autism Awareness Day is an opportunity to recognize and support all children and adults

with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Today, millions of adults and an estimated 1 out of every 68 children in the United States

have been diagnosed with some form of ASD.

Notwithstanding these diagnoses, Americans with ASD make exceptional contributions across

our Nation and around the world.

On this day, we honor their accomplishments and recommit to ensuring that they enjoy the

same opportunities to fulfill their potential that all Americans deserve.

To maximize the quality of life across the entire autism spectrum, we must ensure that

ASD is accurately identified and diagnosed in both children and adults.

We must also support access to effective care, critical resources, and support services.

To further these important goals, I was pleased to sign into law the Recognize, Assist, Include,

Support, and Engage (RAISE) Family Caregivers Act, which will provide a national framework

to support families as they care for loved ones with ASD and other similar conditions.

My Administration also continues to focus on young adults with ASD.

The Department of Health and Human Services, in accordance with the Autism CARES Act of

2014 and in coordination with other executive departments and agencies, has released a report

that details services available for young people with ASD as they leave secondary education

to help them transition to adulthood.

In addition, the Department's Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee ensures robust

engagement with people with ASD and their families to help inform policies and priorities.

My Administration remains focused on this critical work and committed to advancing initiatives

that improve the lives of those living with ASD.

The country needed change and they voted it in.

those with Autism.

blue lights glistened over D.C.

Kimmel Trashes Melania's Accent Hannity Blasts Jimmy So Hard He Freaks On Live TV

oh look at this over 15 million people Tony in maybe sex violence and Jennifer

Aniston falling in and out of love doesn't there's other things to do take

a look well people parent differently than they did in your day turns out a

lot of what you did did not work and some of it was against the law

yeah it's against the law because your generation made everything so PC instead

of spanking them you tell them to go over there and think about what they did

wrong you know what they're thinking I can't believe this loser isn't spanking

me you know Roseanne's reading success it could be a wake-up call for the

liberal media and Hollywood but something tells me they're too arrogant

they're too obsessed with hating Donald Trump now take a look at this latest

cover from New York magazine that depicts the President as a pig and by

the way doesn't stop there on Monday night this is brutal

liberal Jimmy Kimmel making fun of the First Lady of the United States and her

involvement in the White House Easter Egg Roll even her accents Jimmy you're a

despicable disgrace take a look I want to really thank the First Lady Melania

who has done an incredible job she works so hard on this event and so I want to

thank you not a chance she did one thing that

helped set that she didn't die aged he didn't feel bad

only thing she's been working on as an escape tunnel no White House Easter

celebration would be complete without story time from our first lady never

stop exploring cuz life would be boring the clever and curious just like a cat

asked lots of questions about this and bad about decent that hero you realize

what this means you could be First Lady of the United

assclown Kimmel now I gotta tell you something what a disgrace hey mr. Kimmel

that's her fifth language how many do you speak joining us now the hills Joe

conscious a nationally syndicated radio talk shows Larry elder Larry smiling

Joe's smiling I don't know who's smiling more I'll be honest leave the women and

children alone and they'd never Ivanka Barron Milania stop at some point

there's got to be an end to this first lady's rarely get attacked whether it be

Michelle Obama whether it be a Bush whether it be Obama when she said for

the first time in my adult life I'm proud of my country she interjected

herself into politics and that statement was outrageous that's true but overall

look the favorability rating of Melania Trump is a 54% in Gallup you want to

attack her roll the dice and take your chances but there's no upside to this

whatsoever III just find this part insulting I mean

especially she is an extraordinarily bright woman she's reading a children's

book it's something that first ladies do Michelle Obama did it as well and if

you're not injecting yourself into politics Larry why what's the point

well I consider the Trump's to be pretty tough people in Melania to be pretty

tough as well and as you pointed out she speaks five languages I'm pretty sure

whatever Jimmy Kimmel said she's going to shine it on but your bigger question

is whether or not the Roseann success is going to cause Hollywood to rethink his

assumptions towards conservatism and towards Donald Trump hardly 90% of

Hollywood's political money goes to the left and you look at people like Steve

Colbert Sean his numbers go up when you started attacking Donald Trump well I

don't care what they say he's the president fair game

you know but if you're going really low and petty like that I just I don't know

I what do you think I I think that this is nothing new and I think that actually

what we're seeing now is Donald Trump the president and Melania Trump they're

being made to be sympathetic figures and then I look at the RCP average of polls

right that's that's all that all the Real Clear Politics right Real Clear

Politics people don't know what our CP is your

jargon right they take a pulse right and since this our CP all right enough

it's since December the president is up five points in that poll and considering

how polarizes countries and considering how overwhelming the media coverage is

to jump five points over all those polls that's pretty big what do you think of

Roseann success Larry elder well it shows you that there's a market for

people that don't get their point of view insulted there's a whole market for

people who want to turn on the television set I just kick back eat some

popcorn drink a beer and not have their views insulted and that's what this this

show is showing and Sean the principal one of the principal writers of this

show is Wanda Sykes who's enough right basher

right so I'm not even sure that the show is all that conservative it's

conservative ish that all people want just don't insult me that's all I want

don't don't demean me that's all I need yeah you know I so I did this one movie

project which I'm really proud of let there be light it didn't extraordinarily

well we had no support of any studio I can only imagine was a hit when that

movie just came out the movie Paul just came out though it's like there's a

there's an opening here an untapped audience a niche audience called half

the country yeah yeah the numbers around Roseanne are are remarkable to me first

of all this the second week it's done 15 million all right when you compare that

to the Emmy Awards and that one-trick pony that hosted it in second Colbert it

only did 12 so it's doing better than the Emmys it almost as many as the

Oscars in week 1 now listen to this so this is where it gets really good all

right in Tulsa Cincinnati in Kansas City those are the top three cities for

Roseanne's opening week in New York it didn't even finish in the top 20 Los

Angeles not even the top 30 that you want to talk about a divided and one

incest market something mm-hmm go to those markets in San Diego and San Diego

all places of all places you guys are amazing

good job no good to see you good to see you Larry as always thank you sir thank

you god bless you and God bless america

you

4 MUST KNOW SUICIDE WARNING SIGNS (and how to help) - Duration: 7:36.

each year nearly 45,000 people die by way of suicide so that's why in this

video we're gonna talk about the four main warning signs of suicide so you

might be able to help somebody that you know so stay tuned what's up everybody

this is Chris from the rewired soul where we talk about the problem but

focus on the solution and first and foremost if you are watching this video

and you're someone who is severely depressed or suicidal please please

please stop this video go check out the description there is a ton of resources

go get help right away there is hope but I do not

want you to watch this whole video because sometimes these can be

triggering and just make things worse so please check out the description and

find some help in this video we're gonna talk about the four major warning signs

of suicide and this is an extremely preventable type of death

so please do me a favor do other people a favor do yourself a favor please share

this video so we can increase awareness so other people might be able to know

what the warning signs are so they can potentially help somebody that they know

to currently in the United States suicide is the tenth leading cause of

death in the entire country and for every single suicide 25 people attempt

suicide that means every year over 1.1 million people attempt suicide but one

of the main reasons I'm making this video is because every single year here

in Las Vegas as well as all other parts of the country the American Foundation

for Suicide Prevention does something called the out of the darkness walk so

myself and my son this is our third year going to it we're gonna be going to it

tomorrow Saturday April 7th and this is a very important subject to me and I'm

glad that my son gets to come out my girlfriend I'll be there too but it's

amazing seeing hundreds and hundreds of people out there walking for suicide

prevention as well as awareness the reason why this hits so close to home

for me is if you've watched my channel you know a little bit about me five and

a half years ago I was extremely suicidal I was trying to kill myself

via drugs as well as alcohol so I get it I've been there I felt hopeless like

there was no way out now not only do I do things like this

and make these YouTube videos to try to help you work on your mental health so

you don't get to that point but I get involved with things that happen in my

community to try to help prevent and spread awareness so if you want like I

said there will be a bunch of resources down below you can check and see how you

might be able to get involved in your own city and state so let's get started

and let's talk about warning sign number one so the first warning sign is talk

about feeling hopeless or having no reason to live and one of the reasons

this is is because one of the symptoms of depression like severe depression

that takes somebody at this point people with severe depression are incapable of

seeing the future when they look into the future they do not see themselves in

it or they can't see any kind of world where things are better part of the

reasons depression is so powerful is that when we're feeling an emotion or

we're feeling hopeless the brain gets this sort of amnesia so

we can't even remember even if yesterday we were feeling a little bit better

warning sign number two talking about being a burden to others so when

somebody reaches this point they feel like the world would be better off

without them because they think that they are just draining you know their

friends their family members Society you know the world so they feel like they're

a burden that's why I suicide seems like it might be an option warning sign

number three talking about it talking about wanting to kill themselves talking

about suicide so if they're even talking about this this is a very very very

clear warning sign and warning sign number four is doing behaviors in which

it might make it easier for them to commit suicide so one of them is doing

online searches another one might be buying a gun you know so if you're

starting to notice these warning signs and the person is doing certain

behaviors that is getting them closer to that point it needs to be taken very

very seriously so real quick side note when we're talking about the warning

signs we're talking about doing online searches like let me

this this is something that I need to do way more videos on but if you are a

parent and you are worried about your child potentially being at this point

the more withdrawn they're depress they have some of these other warning signs

like check check their google history check their history okay so many parents

are worried about this invasion of privacy but I have met far too many

people who wish they would have invaded that privacy like let's get real for a

second teenagers don't think their parents trust them anyways so if you're

doing that you're not really breaking anything that you already have so now

you might be asking what what do you do what do you do to help alright the first

thing the first thing I need to make very very clear every single time there

is a warning sign like this or a threat of suicide it needs to be taken 100%

seriously all right I will do other videos about people who make suicidal

threats and how to kind of distinguish the difference between suicidal threats

and actually thinking about really committing suicide I will do more videos

on that but from my experience working with a lot of people with mental illness

you need to take every single threat seriously okay so here are some of the

do's and don'ts of how to help somebody who is potentially suicidal and this

comes from the national suicide prevention hotline be direct talk openly

and matter-of-factly about suicide be willing to listen allow expressions of

feelings accept the feelings be non-judgmental don't debate whether

suicide is right or wrong or whether feelings are good or bad don't lecture

on the value of life get involved become available show interest and support

don't dare him or her to do it don't act shocked this will put distance between

you don't be sworn to secrecy seek support offer hope that alternatives are

available but do not offer glib reassurance take action remove means

like weapons or pills get help from people or agencies

specializing in crisis intervention and suicide prevention all right so I hope

you found this video helpful and if you have questions please leave them down in

the comments below but again I I really can't stress this enough please please

please share this video so people know what the main warning signs are as well

as some solutions on how to actually help somebody who might be suicidal so

please share this video on social media so we could increase awareness and

potentially save some more lives and if you think that someone might be suicidal

or you want to educate yourself some more or see how you can get involved or

get help please make sure you check out the description down below I will have a

ton of resources down there alright but thank you so much for watching if you

like this video please give it a thumbs up and if you're new here I always make

videos about mental health that's what my whole channel is about so make sure

you click the little round subscribe button right below this little box and

if you want to check out some other videos you can click the top right there

alright thanks so much for watching never lose hope and I'll see you next

time

Planned Parenthood CAUGHT IN MAJOR SCANDAL, Now We Know What They Did During The Election - Duration: 4:47.

A political arm of Planned Parenthood is in trouble for what they hid during the election.

It raises other questions about this nefarious organization.

Everyone needs to know about this.

Millions of Americans detest Planned Parenthood.

Yet the group still thrives like a cancer in our society.

This organization specializes in the deaths of unborn children.

They claim to provide health care to low-income women.

That's true if you define "health care" as "millions of abortions."

The act of abortion is considered an outdated and barbaric practice by many in the United

States.

Somehow, though, Planned Parenthood continues their work.

Perhaps it's because Congress refuses to defund the evil organization.

Every year, they get huge checks from the government, checks that further the destruction

of human life.

We know why, of course.

Planned Parenthood conducts a mafia-like scheme between themselves and the Democrats.

They funnel millions of dollars into candidates' campaigns.

Once elected, these liberals happily funnel hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars into

Planned Parenthood's coffers.

They keep this scheme going year after year, draining money from the American people, all

to keep both parties happy and well-funded.

It looks like one Planned Parenthood group took a misstep, though.

During the 2016 elections, the Wisconsin branch dumped over $100,000 into liberal campaigns.

The only problem?

They didn't disclose it to the FEC.

Oops!

Planned Parenthood's political arm in Wisconsin has been fined for failing to appropriately

report nearly $120,000 in independent expenditures allocated in support of Democratic candidates

Hillary Clinton and Russ Feingold during 2016 elections.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) found discrepancies in Planned Parenthood Advocates

of Wisconsin's October 2016 report that claimed over $133,000 worth of expenditures

on political candidates, an FEC report said.

Nearly $120,000 spent in August on Clinton and Democrat Feingold — who tried but failed

to unseat Republican Sen. Ron Johnson in 2016 — were never shown in any previous 48-hour

filing up until the October report, two months later when it was required.

The Planned Parenthood group reportedly spent $58,449.04 in support for Clinton and as much

in support of Feingold.

[Source: Fox News] Why didn't the Wisconsin PP disclose this

amount?

We know, nationwide, Planned Parenthood shelled out millions to help Hillary Clinton.

They used the millions of dollars they got from the government.

That's your tax dollars being spent to get a crook elected.

We shouldn't be too surprised who they were spending the money on.

Hillary Clinton and her cronies love Planned Parenthood.

They are proud of a woman's "right to choose" — that choice being to abort their

unborn child.

Clinton would have promised to protect Planned Parenthood had she been elected.

In fact, she would probably have increased the amount of cash they get every year.

Other Democrats are known for their open support of the group.

Democrats proudly declare they defend a woman's right to kill their unborn child.

Imagine being that disturbed, that you're proud of killing your child, but that is the

DNC today.

The office is claiming it was all a misunderstanding.

Their staff — which should have been trained — didn't know to file the contributions

earlier.

Sure.

Or maybe this group is used to keeping things from the government and the American people,

like the fact that it routinely sells aborted baby parts to labs, even though it's against

the law.

Or the fact that they claim to provide comprehensive health care to women in need.

But when women go to Planned Parenthood for help, they are only offered abortions.

Even basic procedures are only offered, if in the pursuit of getting an abortion.

The real crime is that this massive group is getting slapped on the wrist for this "mistake."

The group will have to pay a $5,850 fine for the wrongdoing, the Washington Free Beacon

reported.

[Source: Fox News]

Really?

That's nothing for a group that gets hundreds of millions of dollars from the government.

This group should be under investigation for its horrendous practices and deceptive tactics.

It should be defunded and kicked to the curb.

Instead, it gets millions of dollars from the government and is hardly held accountable

when they break the law.

The only way Planned Parenthood would be brought to justice is if we elected people who refuse

to support it.

Penguins Passport, Shirts Off Our Backs highlight Fan Appreciation Night - Duration: 2:30.

Penguins Passport, Shirts Off Our Backs highlight Fan Appreciation Night

Following the Penguins 4-0 win overthe Ottawa Senators in their final game of the 2017-18 regular season at PPG Paints Arena, the team ended Fan Appreciation night with the annual Shirts Off Our Backs ceremony.

But before they handed out game-worn jerseys to 23 lucky fans, one incredibly fortunate fan was the recipient of the first-ever Penguins Passport.

The season-long promotion consisted of winning tickets to every Penguins game at home and on the road during the 2018-19 season. In addition to the tickets, the Penguins Passport also included Delta airfare vouchers and $100,000 in spending money.

Mark Azzarello of Moon Township was the winner of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As a Pittsburgh native, Azzarello has supported the Pens for as long as he can remember. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Ive been a fan my whole life, he said.

Azzarello was one of five finalists, and after unlocking the box that awarded him the Passport, a wave of emotions overcame Azzarello that he couldnt even put into words.

I dont even know, to be honest, Azzarello said when asked of what he was thinking after realizing he had won. Im not a lucky person so I wasnt expecting to win.

Its going to take some time to comprehend. Not only was Azzarello not expecting to win - he didnt even know he was eligible for the contest at one point.

I actually didnt even know I was entered until they called me for the top-five, Azzarello said.

So that was a fun surprise. Other promotions throughout the evening included all fans in attendance receiving a free scratch card after having their tickets scanned upon entry.

The scratch cards made fans eligible to win numerous prizes, including the chance to win a Shirt Off Our Back. During the post-game jersey presentation, fans took home sweaters from the evenings game autographed by the players.

Plum resident Gary Ireland was thrilled to receive a Kris Letang jersey. Its great, said Ireland.

I was really excited when we won the jerseys, my grandkids are very excited about it too at home. Shelby Hawkins was able to take home the jersey of captain Sidney Crosby.

It was awesome, said Hawkins, a resident of Scottdale, PA. It was great to be picked to get a Sidney Crosby jersey. Tyler Iser introduced Penguins hockey to his friend and was rewarded for it with Evgeni Malkins jersey.

So surreal, it was crazy, Iser said of the atmosphere in PPG Paints Arena. I brought my friend to his first game and he actually scratched his card off and gave it to me.

Its been really exciting, its been a crazy night, (Malkin) is my favorite player..
