Hi, I'm Chiccodb00

in this video I will teach you how to install Java 9

and how to configure Eclipse.

If you want to know more about Java 9,

click on the upper right corner!

Before starting, I want to point out that

when this video was recorded

the JDK installation is available only

on 64 bit Windows.

For downloading Java 9, we search on Google "jdk 9 download"

and select the link that is titled

"Java SE Development Kit 9 – Downloads – Oracle"

we accept the license terms by clicking on

"Accept License Agreement"

and then we click on "jdk-9_windows-x64_bin.exe"

and wait until the end of the download.

When the download is finished, we execute the file we just downloaded

if we are asked to "allow the application to apply the changes on the system"

we confirm and in the next window we click

on the "Next >" button at the right bottom

then again "Next>" and wait for the installation files to be decompressed.

Once decompression is complete

it should show us a screen that asks us to enter the Java installation folder

we click on "Next" and wait for the end of the installation

good morning everybody how's everybody doing today

I hope you guys had a great night last night I did and I'm happy to say that I

did I had a good night last night the kids went to bed at a decent time and

they woke up this morning with no problems today was great okay

this morning was so great they will cut our your body was ready to go to school

got their breakfast done on time they ate their breakfast this morning

nobody left anything I made to make I made Hungry Jacks

funfetti complete pancakes and it looked good and looked like cake it looks like

cake for breakfast which probably wasn't a good idea but um they enjoyed it they

liked it um they got their backpacks they got their lunchboxes I didn't have

to yell who don't have those shoes on where's your backpack wish a hairband

I don't have to do any of that this morning and I was great so this morning

was a bunch of positivity throughout the house everybody was just like yeah we going

to school and I said yeah y'all are going to school I want them to go into school

with positive energy with positive thoughts and I'm I'm pretty sure that

happened today you know some mornings are really rough they're dragging their

feet they don't want to get out of bed and this morning was excellent because

some mornings can be hectic and I know mom's like we don't want to be yelling at

our kids early in the morning we want to send them to school with positive

thoughts and positive vibes so yeah that's what happened this morning and

I'm thankful for that so I'm here in the beautiful park and

I'm here because I'm always here you know I go for my morning my morning

walks and I'm during this walk this morning I was just in my thoughts and I

thought let me come and sit down and just meditate so I came and sat down and

meditated and after I meditated I thought let me just come and say hi to

you guys so this is why we're here and um I just thought that meditation is so

important meditation is a necessity because when you're just in your

thoughts all the time may becomes overwhelming becomes stressful it

becomes everything like absolutely everything it becomes like it just

invades all the space in your mind and

yeah yeah that's what it yeah so when you um meditate you're able to release

all those energies out of your mind and you're able to embrace positive thoughts

and embrace positive energies so this is why I'm here I'm sitting right here and

I'm enjoying nature I know a lot of moms you know we don't have time to really be

to ourselves only because you know there's so many things to do our lives

are really hectic especially if you're a mom of more than one child so um it's

good to just sit down and it take time for yourself

it doesn't have to be in the park it can be anywhere it can be on your porch it

could be in your bathroom it could be on your bed you know as long as you're

taking time out for yourself to enjoy yourself to just be free of thoughts to

just free of any negativity take your time

take the time out of your life to do that it is so important you you'll see

the difference in your life in your day in fact you'll see Wow

you know like this meditation thing is not bad you know some people meditation

with meditate with music some people meditate with nothing at all

some people do though and that's fine too but I like to hear the birds chirp I

like to hear the squirrels dropping their acorns you know how I like to

meditate so if you haven't meditated today take the time to it's so important

for you so important for your life it's so important for the minutes of ahead or

the hours I had or you know the days I had it's just it's good to just be to

yourself so that you could understand what your self needs for yourself means

what you need for yourself meditation is great meditation is

powerful meditation is soothing meditation delivers answers

just as but just pray or does you know I was really good suggest take time to be

to yourself to be with yourself

How to paint realistic luscious leaves in watercolour with Anna Mason - Duration: 4:50.

Hi it's Anna Mason, and in this watercolour tip video I wanted to show you my glazing

method for painting leaves.

This works especially well for painting any deciduous type leaf which contains lots and

lots of veins to it.

Like these apple leaves.

You may have found these overwhelming to try to paint and get them looking realistic if you've tried them before.

Either you attempt to ignore the little micro veins in them altogether and you end up with smooth,

more stylised leaves, or you can get obsessed adding too much veiny detail and they don't

look right either.

So here's my method for getting the balance right.

I started with a drawing where I marked in the most prominent of the veins - the central

one and the ones coming off of that.

When we look at the photo I'm working from, we can see that these veins are a pale yellow

colour and, because they're pale, I want to paint them first.

And when you zoom right in and look super closely you can see that this colour is also

present in the tiny little veins that come off of the secondary veins and the even smaller

ones that come off of them.

But as we're painting at this size, we don't actually need to paint all of those tiny veins.

If we were painting the leaf at twice the size - or even

more, then we'd need to add

more of these veins in to achieve a realistic level of detail.

But when we're painting at this sort of size we just need to create the impression of these

smaller veins as we paint.

And in addition, those tiny veins are so thin that they actually appear a shade darker than

the wider veins when we're viewing at this scale.

So what we're going to do now is to focus on painting the widest of the veins which

are highlighted here and they're easier to see against a white background.

Being widest these veins stand out more strongly against the darker leaf colour around them

so it's these that we're going to paint with the yellow mix.

I apply the watery yellow colour to the main veins, not worrying if I paint over the pencil

boundary as I'll be working with darker colours around the veins to define them later.

Next I paint the watery blue-green shiny highlights to the leaves to make sure that I had those

in the right places, before going on to paint a watery pale version of the main green of

the leaves everywhere else, using a small brush and taking care to work around the yellow

of the veins.

With that dry I go in with the very darkest tones within the leaf next.

Using a thick dark green mix, I apply with a small brush, making sure to leave lots of

gaps to create the impression of some of the tinier veins in the leaves.

This is something that you can get quick at with practice but it's important not to get too

formulaic and uniform in your application.

It does take a while but it's so important for creating realistic looking leaves.

Next I water down the mix a little to work on the darker midtone parts of the leaves

too.

The leaf is now looking really disjointed with all those gaps I've left standing out

way too much.

So it's time to unify them a bit by applying a glaze over them.

For this I use a mix that's not as watery as the first ones I used, but more watery

than the ones I've just been using.

I work gently with my brush so that I don't disturb the little markings I'd made before.

I then use this same consistency mix to create smaller shapes into the lighter parts of the

leaf, just as I did with the thicker mixes in the darker parts.

With that layer dry I'm into the adjustment phase where I darken the veins again to bring

them back in balance, then the darkest tones again to get them looking right and the lighter

midtones again to get them in balance too, before I apply another glaze over the lighter

tones within the leaves to darken those micro veins some more.

After I add a few more adjustments and details the leaves are finished.

Hello Callum.

Do you like going on business trips?

Well I do quite like the idea of them but they're definitely no holiday.

And what's the longest one you've been on?

About a week.

About a week!

Well today we're going to be finding out about what may perhaps be the longest business

trip ever but a trip that doesn't actually go anywhere.

In this trip six men are going to spend 500 days locked in a warehouse in Moscow.

Have you heard about this?

Yes, I've heard vaguely about it.

It's some kind of psychological experiment to see how long people can stay in the same

place for.

That's just about right.

Yes, this is the story that six men are going to be locked in an imitation spacecraft for

500 days.

And that's about the length of time it would take to travel to the planet Mars and back.

And the idea is to see if people can cope with the challenge of such a journey.

And the planet Mars is the subject of this week's question.

Is the planet Mars: a: bigger than the Earth?

b: smaller than the Earth?

c: about the same size as the Earth?

Well I'm no planetary expert but I've always thought that Mars was bigger than the Earth.

But I'm not entirely sure so I'm going to go for c: about the same size as the Earth.

We'll find out if you're right later on.

So, there are six people in a warehouse in Moscow – pretending to go to Mars.

What are they going to be doing?

Here's Richard Galpin, who reports for the BBC from Moscow.

He describes what they'll be doing for the first 250 days.

Listen out for that information.

The pretend astronauts will spend the first 250 days carrying out routine maintenance

and scientific experiments as if they were actually on the ultra-long-haul flight to

Mars.

Kate, what are the 'pretend astronauts' going to be doing for the first 250 days?

Well he mentioned routine maintenance – which means everyday tasks in the 'spaceship' – and

scientific experiments.

These are the kind of things astronauts would be doing if they were on the real journey.

Yes, he said they would be doing those things 'as if they were actually on the ultra-long-haul

flight to Mars.'

Could you explain the phrase 'ultra-long-haul flight'?

Well a 'long-haul flight' is phrase we use for a long distance journey by plane, for

example flying from London to Australia is a long-haul flight.

And 'ultra' is a prefix which means 'extremely'.

So an ultra-long-haul flight is a really long journey, which of course, a trip to Mars would

be.

Let's listen again.

The pretend astronauts will spend the first 250 days carrying out routine maintenance

and scientific experiments as if they were actually on the ultra long-haul flight to

Mars.

So maintenance and experiments are the tasks for the first 250 days, but what happens then.

Here's Richard Galpin again.

On day 251, three lucky members of the crew will be able to move out into what looks like

a large enclosed sand-pit.

It's meant to be the Martian landscape.

So Kate, what happens after 250 days, on day 251, as Richard said?

Well three of the crew will be able to leave the 'spaceship' and go into a place where

there is a lot of sand – described as a sand-pit.

This area is supposed to simulate the surface of the planet Mars, or as it's described,

the Martian landscape.

Let's listen again.

On day two hundred and fifty one, three lucky members of the crew will be able to move out

into what looks like a large enclosed sand-pit.

It's meant to be the Martian landscape.

I'd have to say that after 250 days I think I'd be desperate to be one of those allowed

out!

Oh me too.

I think I'd be going a bit crazy if I was stuck in that place for 250 days.

So, 250 days together, a little time in a sand-pit for three of them and then another

250 days all together again before they can come out.

I don't think I could do that, could you?

Oh no, it sounds like hell to me.

I really don't think I could do it.

It would be so claustrophobic and boring and being stuck with the same people for all that

amount of time.

So boredom and claustrophobia are certainly going to be an issue for the people in the

experiment.

Iraq's Kurds have voted to create an independent state in a referendum that has angered the

Baghdad government and regional powers Turkey and Iran.

Reuters Emily Wither has the story.

Iraq's Kurds have voted overwhelmingly in favor of creating an independent state.

The electoral commission on Wednesday announcing that more than 90 percent want to break away

from Iraq.

The Kurdish president, Masoud Barzani, warning citizens they might face hardships but remain

united.

Down in Irbil's main market, people are defiant and nervous.

Kurds have an old saying -- they have "no friends but the mountains."

As pressure mounts around them to abandon this bid, they may be hoping for a fried to

step in.

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis traveled to Afghanistan.

VOA's Bill Gallo is traveling with the Pentagon chief and filed this report.

Just hours after Defense Secretary Jim Mattis arrived in the Afghan capital, a reminder

of the instability that plagues the country, the Taliban claimed responsibility for an

attack in which several rockets were fired toward the Kabul international airport.

Mattis's visit was meant to highlight unity in the face of the continued unrest.

Coalition leaders were upbeat, saying President Donald Trump's new strategy is already having

positive effects.

The U.S. is sending 3,000 more troops to Afghanistan, bringing the total number of U.S. forces here

to over 14,000.

Trump says they won't come home until conditions on the ground warrant it.

High Commissioner for Refugees warns of a high risk of terrorism in Myanmar and the

region if Rohingya crisis remains unresolved.

Lisa Schlein reports from UNHCR headquarters in Geneva.

The U.N.'s refugee chief, Filippo Grandi, has just returned from a visit to Cox's Bazar

in Bangladesh, which now is home to some 800,000 Rohingya refugees.

They include some 450,000 refugees who recently fled violence and persecution in Myanmar.

He says most of the refugees are women and children, and that many are deeply traumatized.

Grandi says he spoke to women who had been raped and children who had seen their families

and friends killed.

The U.N. official says he was struck by how little the refugees had and how vulnerable

they were to multiple risks.

Kenya's electoral commission remains in the hot seat as the country heads to a re-run

of the presidential poll on October 26.

Jill Craig reports from Nairobi.

Kenya's opposition says it will boycott the re-run of the presidential election if officials

from the electoral commission, or IEBC, are not replaced.

"IEBC cannot begin the process of ensuring an honest election, as long as those responsible

for the irregularities and illegalities are still lurking in its corridors."

Confidence in the IEBC hit a new low with the nullification of the August 8th presidential

election results.

Meanwhile, President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken aim at the Supreme Court justices, calling

them "thugs" and accusing them of a judicial coup after it annulled his win.

Yet he is still pledging to comply with the judgment.

In that ruling, the Supreme Court highlighted the IEBC's refusal of a court order to open

its computer servers.

The leader of Catalonia has accused the European Union on Wednesday of "turning its back" on

the Spanish region in its conflict with the central government over a disputed independence

vote planned for Sunday that Spanish authorities have vowed to prevent.

He told the AP he intends to make the divisive matter of Catalonia's independence into a

European affair rather than just a domestic issue.

The Central African Republic's president said he has no doubt about what must be done to

create a better peaceful future for his country.

President Touadéra says those who have caused the death of more than 4,000 people and displacement

of hundreds of thousands since a conflict erupted in 2013 must be punished.

He says the grave human rights situation in his country has weakened the authority of

the state and the independence of the judiciary.
