Youtube daily report w Apr 18 2018

This is the second show in our new series that discusses the safety of countries.

Our first destination was Russia, and if you saw that, episode, you'll know that we focused

not only on safety in terms of people visiting the country as tourists, but also how safe

you might be if you intended to go and live in the country.

Again, we'll state that general safety is not always easy to understand, mainly because

it often depends on where you intend to stay and what you intend to do there.

We will, however, look at crime statistics, government advice, recent news reports and

what the people living there tell us.

It's by no means an exact science, but we should get some idea about the dangers that

exist.

So, welcome to this episode of the Infographics Show, Is It Safe: To Live in Mexico?

Mexico is a fairly large country in the southern part of North America, with the USA standing

above it and Central America down below.

At time of writing, Worldometers states the live population of Mexico is 130,333,770,

making it one of the most populous nations on Earth.

So, you're thinking about living there, perhaps going to one of those beautiful beaches

in the Yucatan, or chilling to the sound of mariachis in one of the country's many colorful

cities.

But there's one thing that bothers you, and that's all the news reports you keep

seeing about gang violence that looks more like war than drug-related crime.

You'd have to be living under a stone not to have seen any of the countless TV series

and documentaries showing us that Mexico has some really mean streets.

So, let's start with that, gangs and crime and murders.

If you check out a report called "Global Violent Deaths 2017," it lists countries

that have been war-torn, but also areas where the violence is mainly due to what we might

call non-armed-conflict violent crime.

The 5 countries highest on the list were: Syria, El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras and

Afghanistan.

Searching on the web, you can find statistics from the United Nations Office on Drugs and

Crime, but some of these reports are a few years old.

Most lists you'll find contain the countries we just mentioned, but you can also add Mexico's

neighbors to the top ten or even top five list, which are the countries of Belize and

Guatemala.

The latest reports we can find put the Honduras murder rate at 42.8 murders per every 100,000,

and Mexico at 22.7.

Another source tells us it is 16.35 per 100,000 or 20,762 intentional homicides in total.

The same source puts the USA tally at 4.88 per 100,000 or 15,696 in total.

For 2018, the website Numbeo puts Venezuela at the top of its overall crime index, giving

it a very poor safety rating.

It puts Mexico in 32nd place.

Other countries popular with tourists are rated more dangerous, such as Brazil, South

Africa, Jamaica, Malaysia, Argentina, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Something called the Social Progress Index also gives Mexico an average rating for safety.

In terms of how dangerous Mexico is, we have to look at certain areas of the country.

Despite those statistics we just mentioned, CNN cited Mexican government statistics that

told us there was a massive hike in the murder rate of late, and in 2017, it says 25,339

people were murdered.

It said these were largely gang-related murders, and the murder hotspots were Guerrero, Jalisco,

Sinaloa and Baja California Sur.

Now, perhaps one problem regarding foreign visitors is that two of Mexico's very popular

tourist cities are first and third ranked in terms of global murders per city.

Number one is Los Cabos at 111 murders per 100,000, and number three is Acapulco at 106

murders per 100,000.

According to U.S. news reports, this hasn't stopped Americans from flocking there.

The question is, how likely are you, as a visitor or as an expat, to get caught-up in

this violence?

Well, in 2018 the U.S. State Department issued a security alert after a bomb explosion on

a ferry in the popular resort town of Playa del Carmen.

However, the same department only gives Mexico a level two grade for danger overall.

This means you should exercise caution when you are there.

The report states that gang-related crime should not affect visitors to the country,

but "Bystanders have been injured or killed in shooting incidents."

At the same time, the U.S. government gives some areas a level three rating, which means

you probably should not go there, and that travelling from city to city in these areas

can be dangerous due to gangs sometimes blocking the roads.

It gives some areas a level 4 rating, which means DO NOT VISIT for any reason.

In these areas, you might be taken hostage or find yourself in the middle of a gun battle,

according to the report.

It also says that in these areas there's a high risk of "murder, armed robbery, carjacking,

kidnapping, extortion, and sexual assault."

So, at all costs, we are told, stay away from the states of Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán,

Sinaloa and Tamaulipas.

These all get the level 4 rating.

To give you an idea of safety, Forbes ran a story in 2018 that stated, "More Americans

were reported killed by homicide in Mexico than the combined total of Americans killed

by homicide in every other country abroad."

We should understand, though, that Mexico is full of American expats and tourists.

The same article cites Australian government warnings, telling people to be aware that

violent crime and robbery against visitors is common in some parts of Mexico.

It goes on to say that pick-pocketing is also common, as are crooked Mexican cops taking

advantage of outsiders.

What does the British government say?

It says remain vigilant even if on one of those wonderful beaches, and mentions the

"bad states" the US government tells us are no-go areas.

Even in Mexico City be vigilant, says the UK government, but it also adds this: "Over

513,800 British nationals visited Mexico in 2016.

Most visits are trouble-free."

Nonetheless, after hearing what we've just told you, you could be thinking that sipping

a Pina Colada in Tora Bora would be safer than singing along to "La Cucaracha" in

a shady Mexican town square.

Well, the British government says it's just a matter of research and knowing where you

shouldn't go.

"The violence is concentrated in specific areas, and some regions are almost completely

spared," is the UK official line.

If you are hanging out in Merida or Mexico City, your chance of being subjected to violence

or robbery should not be high.

But should you settle down in Sinaloa, the former stomping ground of the notorious Joaquín

'El Chapo' Guzmán, things might be different.

We checked out an expat forum where that question was asked, and fortunately some American expats

living in Sinaloa were there to answer.

One person wrote, "Sinaloa is not nearly as hostile and life-threatening as often portrayed

by the U.S. media, but it certainly is not as safe, unblemished, and invulnerable as

a travel agent might suggest."

Stay off the back-roads, said the person, and stay out of what he called the "hinterlands."

In fact, you can find many expat stories about how great life is in the Sinaloan resort town

of Mazatlán.

Some expats talk about the friendly and welcoming people, and while they don't deny there

is violence, some say American cities such as Chicago and Baltimore are also quite dangerous.

Another Mazatlan-based expat wrote, "It seems like the press and the US government

are going out of their way to discourage people from vacationing in Mexico.

Those of us who live here – who love it here, wonder why."

He added, "I take common sense precautions and keep my eyes open.

But…you know, I do that wherever I am."

Some expats also pointed out – and we can verify that they are correct – that the

rape and assault rate in Mexico is much lower than in the U.S.

As the Huffington Post reports, in spite of Mexico having some startling murder statistics,

"What you don't get from most reports in the US is statistical evidence that Americans

are less likely to face violence in Mexico than at home."

Ok, so this offers a counter view.

Let's now see what Mexicans think about how safe their country is.

We looked at Quora where this question was posed and Mexicans and non-Mexicans all said

the same thing.

Yes, it's safe to travel in the country.

Juan Ramirez said use caution in some areas, but generally, he said, "Most places you

hear about that people go to are just as safe as any travel destination in the USA, Western

Europe, or Australia."

There is another big danger in some countries, and that is dying while driving.

For traffic fatalities, Mexico falls under the world average of 17.4 deaths per 100,000

at just over 12.

Most bloggers we can find writing about driving in Mexico say that it is generally safe.

Other annoyances in Mexico could include getting malaria or dengue fever, which is possible

in certain areas of the country, according to the CDC, although you shouldn't be too

concerned.

As for other critters to watch out for, besides the dreaded mosquito, Mexico has lots of them:

scorpions, spiders, and you might just meet a venomous snake when walking in the Maya

jungle.

Again, it's not something you should be overly concerned about.

You should probably be more concerned about becoming that drunk person that eats the worm

in the cheapest bottle of mezcal you could find...and then decides to go out and party

some more.

So, in conclusion.

Government websites are quite sure you should stay away from some areas, but some expats

disagree.

Gang violence is likely not going to come your way, but exercise some caution as you

would anywhere.

Walking around drunk at night in cities, or wandering into territory where gangs are known

to frequent, is probably not a good idea.

For the most part people are friendly and hospitable, and tourists, statistically, should

be safe.

But there have been some incidences of tourists getting hurt, and with all that gang violence

we must accept we could just be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

For this reason, we will put Mexico higher than Russia on the danger scale.

If you are Mexican, or have been to mexico, please share your thoughts on the subject

in the comments.

THIS GUY WILL DO SOMETHING EPIC [ENGLISH SUBTITLES] - Duration: 10:43.

I keep it fixed

for when I pull ahead or move

I'm the second pilot

You drive too? Of course

here is the house, the bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom

3, 2, 1, go

Hello everyone, today I'm here with Luca

a young man who'll do something incredible and sensational

and today we'll tell you all about his adventure

but how did it all start?

one day I receive a message on the facebook page from Luca

actually, he wrote to me from another profile

yeah from the crazy guy's profile

we'll get there

So I get this message where Luca tells me his story and what he's about to do

and I have to read it again 'cause I'm pretty sure I didn't get it

once I finally read it again and I understood his plan

I called my agency, Heroes Valley

to show them Luca's project

we took this project to heart, we presented it to Due Ruote

which took it to heart as well

and today we are here

to present you Luca's project.

So, Luca. Tell us about you.

I'm Luca

long story short

in 2015

I'm in an accident - because no matter how careful you are shit happens -

this guy on the phone runs me over and leaves me there

I wake up 3 months later

without an arm

with various fractures etc

I get back on the bike as a disabled pilot

By the way the "disabled" one you might already remember thanks to an other video

I did at the Mugello, to show you what they do

they're all crazy

and it is thanks to them I got back on track (literally)

they said "you are not ready to go back on the road", let's hit the track

and

and they helped me with the first laps, and things went well

In less than a year I won their championship

you went fast? I did, do.. depends

anyways

I grew tired of riding in circles all the time

I've riding my bike for 15 years

and that's 15 years of wind on your face, a turn, a fall

I wanted to back on the road

I'm stubborn, and after 11 months

of physical and bureaucratic efforts

I got my licence, without limitations

wow. yeah, wow.

I thought I was gonna end my career on a TMAX.

not that I have anything against it

but you know... gear change, turns

so I got the licence

at the Verona trade show

I started looking at the European map

connecting the dots

and I came up with an European tour of 22 countries, 25000 km

so today you're leaving to start a 25000km-long journey

in a bit

crazy, and I assume

from home too, that this is your bike

yes, that's her. my #1 travel companion

What bike is it? 1290 super duke R

perfect for this

Yeah R is for tour

Ok so usually we accelerates with the right hand

usually is the right

but since we don't need the right,

we'll go with the left

here is the clutch, lower for ease when leaving it

there's no need to modulate too much

since it's a 3000

diesel, as soon as you let go it starts

this is the brake, ready at hand

and then here

my genius mechanical friend

put this sort of support to have all the

commands available without having to take the hand off the wheel

these are all your bags?

here is the house, the bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom

What did you pack?

the tent with mattresses, pillows,

everything we might need

A bit of technology to be able to be connected to the world

all the tools for any eventuality

and here all the rainproof stuff

food, 'cause sometimes I have to eat too

electric camping oven, and that's it

I see two helmets, something tells me you're not alone in this

No. Do you remember "Manu Ciao"?

The account you wrote me from?

Yeah, that's her.

She's Manu Ciao. Hi

Hello. Hello. So you'll be dead weight of this journey

not at all. no?

25000 km while doing nothing is not an option

I'm the second pilot. You're driving?

of course

How can you drive with the left?

You have to reset your brain, there's a button right here

which is the same one you press when going on the track

great

The first times I changed two tire sets because...

so this basically you block it

I keep it fixed for when I pull ahead or move

the wheel

look at this, according to the type of path

If I unscrew once

while twice

I can bend more

based on the tortuosity

first of all congrats

on how you set up the bike

so that you could drive it

but most of all I'm surprised it all fits

yes, so much stuff fits: curtains, mats etc

because we want to go on an adventure

not the typical trip, it's not a vacation

my question is: once you got back on the bike

one might say

I'm back on the bike, I'll just stick to hitting the road once in a while

you decided to to a 25000 km-long journey?

Like I said

I looked at the most beautiful European roads,

those I've always dream of

and while connecting the dots I told myself: why not demonstrate

that it is possible?

most people

they lose a job, a girlfriend,

they look at the negative things

while I want to send a different message

"If you want, you can. The legs are still there, you just gotta learn to use them

You just have to believe in it

be motivated by all the right reasons

and drive". It's possible

And I want to prove it.

Because everyone's good at talking

so I also want to do it

In the meantime, this is the path he'll take

which will be the most important stops?

first of all, the first night (tonight) we stop at the col de turini to sleep

Il monte carlo rally

from there we will make the Napoleonic route to get to the Spanish coast

From the Spanish coast to Gibraltar then straight to Portugal, l'East Ocean Drive

then again Basque circuit, pamplona, bilbao, and if I tell you everything we it's gonna be awhile

great, so

those who want to follow his adventure

you'll find in the description

his instagram profile and facebook page

where they will post updates and pictures of the locations

Luca we have something for you,

that we have prepared, a couple of little things to give you

that you might need, but hopefully you wont' need all of them

ok, I'm worried now

but we have prepared a series of gadgets to give you for this trip

cool, thanks

so the first one is this action camera

awesome

so you can capture the whole adventure

this is the one I used in the video

at the Motorbike expo

it's a small action camera which fits everywhere

the audio is great

so even if want to record something

it has a case

where you can place the camera and the microphone is exposed

this is one of those gadgets I hope you'll never use

but it might come save your life in certain situations

we're talking about

moto airbag

This is a jacket with a built-in airbag

But this is the one that inflates in the back

yes this is basically

worn on top of the jacket

so on top of what you'll wear

there's a hook that is attached to another hook on the bike

and

it has an analogical operation, so if some where to happen

it comes off and immediately inflates

there's an airbag on the back

which impacts the abdomen

it inflates also at the front

I won't be using it, but I'll wear it

I won't be needing it

I want to do something now

you put the jacket on and we'll try it outside

ok so here you are with the jacket

and we'll try the airbag

I can't wait

there's also an intruder here

Niccolò from Motor Passion

we're ready for this test

I won't be in the recording

I'll do the slow motion

so

turn

3, 2, 1, go

can you feel this?

it's awesome

Now

you're probably wondering how you can leave without the airbag

I can go like this

no! we have the refills

they are canisers

after I'll show you how they work because this system is rechargeable

oh it's reusable? yes with this things you can charge it again

so now it's getting late

it's time for you to hit the road, I assume

can you deflate me?

Enjoy your trip!

Is It Safe To Live In Mexico? - Duration: 9:35.

Anderson Cooper STUNNED After Lawmaker Says Trump Never Lies - Duration: 3:33.

During an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, Republican Representative Jim Jordan from

Ohio admitted that he has never heard Donald Trump tell a single lie.

This leads us to wonder, one, maybe Jim Jordan is suffering from some kind of undiagnosed

deafness, or two, Jim Jordan might just be an idiot.

Take a look at the clip and see Jim Jordan kind of squirm when Anderson Cooper kind of

presses him on the issue of whether or not Trump has ever lied.

Come on, you got to admit, this president has said things which are just demonstrably

not true time and time again.

The list is a very long one, almost on a daily basis.

I think Andrew McCabe has said things that aren't true and the Inspector General didn't

make an investigation ...

Does that make it right?

And was fired because of that.

Right, so you're very bold in calling out Andrew McCabe, not so bold on the President

of the United States.

It wasn't me calling Andrew McCabe, it was his colleagues.

I mean, it was the Inspector General of the Office of Congressional ...

Okay, so you never heard the president lie?

You haven't heard the president lie?

I've not heard the president, has always been square with me, that's for darn sure.

Well, what about the American people?

The American people elected him President of the United States.

Right, okay, but have you ever heard the president lie?

That's what I'm asking you.

I have not, and the American people feel like what the treatment he has received from the

top people at the FBI ...

Okay, A, I don't think you can talk about all of the American people, but I'm asking

you just yourself, have you ever heard the president lie?

I have not.

Really?

When The Washington Post counts hundreds and hundreds of times, none of those are believable

to you?

I have not seen what The Washington Post reported.

You're asking has the president communicated something that wasn't accurate to me?

I'm not ...

No, not to you.

Has the president publicly said anything that is a lie?

Well, I mean, look, I don't know of it.

Nothing comes to mind.

Look, people who talk as much as you and I do, my guess is probably Anderson, you may

have said something at some point ...

Listen, Representative Jordan, if you're having a little trouble coming up with any lies that

Donald Trump has told, let's just go back to the very beginning in the first days of

his presidency when he lied about the crowd size at his inauguration.

He then lied about three to five million illegal voters in the 2016 election.

He lied about other crowd sizes.

He lies damn near every day.

Hell, just this morning he lied about why he fired James Comey on Twitter, completely

contradicting what he said last year.

Yeah, if you need an example of a time that Donald Trump lied, the easiest thing to do

is just go to his Twitter feed and read the most recent tweet.

Donald Trump has a problem admitting to reality.

He lies about his poll number, lies about his favorability ratings, lies about jobs

coming back to America and companies coming back to America and middle class workers getting

a tax cut.

Those are all lies that the president has told in the last 24 hours.

Yeah, go ahead and tell Anderson Cooper that you can't think of a single one, because that's

what a good loyal little Republican does for Donald Trump.

Young Surrogate Carries Couple's Child, Then They Look Closer At The Scan And Freeze - Duration: 2:59.

Young Surrogate Carries Couple's Child, Then They Look Closer At The Scan And Freeze

Creating your own little family is, for many people, the greatest goal in life.

But even if you've met the love of your life, things don't always work out the the

way we imagine – and finding out that you can't have children is heartbreaking.

So when Shaniece Sturdy turned on a television documentary one day about surrogate mothers,

she knew that she wanted to do everything she possibly could to help couples become

parents.

The years passed, and after the birth of her first son, Shaniece decided once and for all

– she was going to apply to become a surrogate mother.

It was a decision that would change her – and several others' – lives forever…

Shaniece Sturdy was only 21 at that point – but she wasn't interested in drinking

or partying.

"I wanted to help another couple fulfill their family dream and raise Rylee properly,"

Shaniece tells The Daily Mail.

However, Shaniece was aware that she might not be accepted as a surrogate mother

That's why she decided to keep her plans secret.

Soon, the young and determined woman began to do all the neccessary research.

She completed the process with no help at all.

And as soon as she met Joanna and Steve, a couple who wanted nothing more than to become

parents, Shaniece knew that she wanted to help them.

It was only then that the 21 year old shared the news with her nearest and dearest.

Then she flew to a specialist clinic in Los Angeles to implant Joanna and Steve's embryo.

Everything went according to plan, and Shaniece fell pregnant.

The plan was for her to deliver "just" one son or daughter for the couple, but she

soon noticed that her bump was quickly growing bigger and bigger.

Soon it was time for the ultrasound.

Parents Joanna and Steve were there by Shaniece's side… and they were soon in for a huge shock.

All of a sudden, the midwife revealed that they were expecting twins!

It was joyous news for the couple, who felt like they were on cloud nine following the

news.

But that wasn't all…

10 weeks later, the doctors made the next incredible discovery.

It turns out that Shaniece was carrying triplets!

A few months later Shaniece, Joanna and Steve finally welcomed Willow, Harrison and Daisy

into the world.

Shaniece has kept in contact with the happy parents and visits the triplets every year

for their birthday.

And she doesn't regret a second.

"Even though I was only 21 and it was a huge responsibility carrying their babies,

it was one of the best experiences of my life," Shaniece tells The Daily Mail and continues:

"The whole pregnancy flew by, and with the support of Joanna and Steve, it was amazing

and I would recommend it to anyone."

What an incredibly strong woman Shaniece is.

Share her incredible story with your friends if you agree!

If You Experience Any of These 15 Signs, You're Just An Option, NOT A Priority - Duration: 4:42.

If You Experience Any of These 15 Signs, You're Just An Option, NOT A Priority

In other videos, we have described how people who love you will react when they fall in

love with you.

However, today, we will look at the different end of the spectrum.

We all know that not all people like us.

Some of them just try to be friendly, and it is what happens.

If you love someone and you want to know that he truly makes you a priority, you can check

these signs.

#1 - No plans

Since you are not a priority, there is no need to plan things with you.

He prefer does things without plan, and you need to be ready no matter what.

If you aren't, then there will be no meeting.

It is as simple as that.

#2 - You compromise

It is important to understand that a romantic relationship is two-way connection.

It requires balance between parties.

However, if you are the one who always compromise, there is something wrong.

#3 - You wait while he doesn't

The next thing to know is that he only wants to be with you when he has time.

That's not the other way around.

Otherwise, there will be no meeting at all.

You are not priority, and he does not bother.

#4 - They make it clear

A clear sign that you are not priority is that when he leaves if there are some friends

calling him.

You are really not his priority, and that's why he can leave you anytime he wants.

#5 - No going out

One of the best way to establish and develop a relationship is through physical meeting.

However, he just always stays away from such meeting.

It is another clear sign that you are not his priority, and he probably even does not

like you.

#6 - They talk when they need you

If you are not his priority, he just wants you to be in his side, and that's it.

Sometimes, you are mad, and he tries to calm you down.

However, after several days, he returns back to his original behavior.

#7 - You don't get answer

We all know that communication nowadays is so much easier.

However, that won't happen if you are not his priority.

Everything will just be left without response.

#8 - You feel you are being used

You make a lot of sacrifices, but he does not seem to change.

He even does not even want to reply you.

It is like dealing with narcissists, and it is what really happens if you are not a priority.

#9 - More Excuses

If you are not in his priority list, you will not get anything.

Every request you pass will be ignored.

However, if he asks something, you need to provide it as soon as possible.

There is always excuses overtime you ask something, and it is just fair.

#10 - He is not interested

Unlike the first meeting, he is no longer interested in you.

He does not really care anymore about how well you are doing.

#11 - He lies

Another thing that puts you down from priority list is lie.

It is usually a lie that makes you feel better, but it is pretty obvious.

It is completely different from white lies as this one really hurts.

#12 - He is bored

If you observe it, he does not pay too much attention once you have the meeting you are

forced to come.

#13 - He's hiding something

You can clearly see it.

The reason is because there is dramatic change that happens in him, but he keeps denying

it.

#14 - He does not know anything about you

He forget things.

Someone who does not put you in priority could care less about what you do, and he really

wants to erase details about you.

#15 - This person hurts you a lot

Lastly, someone who's not in your priority list will hurt you instead of love you.

He is usually not abusive, but his words, gestures, and facial expression signify hatred

and disgust to you.

Well, that's all of the 15 signs that indicate you might be just an option, not a priority.

So, really cool information isn't it?

I didn't know that would happen.

At 29, walking away from Data Processing

I was terrified

10 years in a place without heat

6 years at a job I felt stuck in.

Maybe I was afraid of change.

Raise the rest of your life to meet you.

Don't search for defining moments,

Because they will never come.

The moments that define you have already happened.

And they will already happen again.

You just get a bit derailed.

But soon, something starts to happen.

Trust me!

The rhythm sets in.

Just try not to wait until, like me, you're 29 before you find it.

And if you are, that's fine too.

Some of us will never find it.

But you will.

I promise you.

You are already here.

That's just an enormous step on its own.

You'll find you rhythm or continue the one you have already found

The world might say you are not allowed to yet.

I waited a long time out in the world

before I gave myself permission to fail.

Please,

Don't even bother asking...

Don't bother telling the world you are ready.

Show it.

Do it.

What did Beckett say?

Ever tried

Ever failed

No matter

Try again!

Fail again!

Fail better.

The world is yours.

Treat everyone kindly.

And light up the night.

Thank you so much for having me here.

Mom Finds 3-Week-Old Baby Unconscious After Car Ride – Sounds Urgent Warning To All

Parents

There can be few things worse than watching your baby fighting for his or her life.

That was the unfortunate circumstance that befell Scottish mother Kirsti Clark, 28, and

husband Christopher Clark, 29, on April 4 this year.

The pair had decided to spend a day out with their daughters, three-year-old Malena and

three-week-old Harper, but the trip would spiral into a nightmare.

They had a long journey home due to rush-hour traffic, and after laying Harper down on her

play mat when they got in, they instantly realised something was wrong.

Harper's lips had turned blue, her jaw was clenched shut and white foam was frothing

from her mouth and nose.

Kirsti now has a warning for every parent …

April 4 should have been an idealistic family outing for Kirsti and Christopher; the pair

set out at 2:30 for an afternoon of shopping with their two young daughters.

At around 6:30 they set off for the drive home.

The journey took 1 hour and 45 minutes, with Harper strapped into her car seat as usual.

When they got in, the three-week-old spent another 15 minutes in her seat as Kirsti and

Christopher put Malena to bed.

When the couple took Harper from her car seat, they spotted the terrifying symptoms and immediately

raced her to hospital.

"When we got home it was way past Malena's bedtime so brought Harper in in her car seat

and she stayed in there for 15 minutes as we got Malena into bed," Kirsti said, as

per the Daily Record.

"My husband got Harper out and put her on his knee but she looked like she couldn't

get comfy so he laid her down on her mat and she was kicking about.

"I told him her lips looked blue and then he pointed out how red her cheeks were.

He picked her up and I could tell straight away from his face that something was wrong."

Despite Kirsti's fears that she would lose her baby, medics at the hospital were able

to resuscitate Harper.

They warned the parents that babies that spend more than an hour in a car seat are at risk

of suffering from oxygen deprivation.

It turned out Harper had suffered a seizure as a result of her oxygen levels plummeting.

When the baby had been laid upon the floor, the sudden increase of oxygen caused her to

fit.

Now, Kirsti is doing her best to warn other parents over what she believes to be a relatively

hidden danger: "When the consultant told us it was the car seat I couldn't believe

it.

I thought 'there's no way'.

I couldn't understand why nobody had ever told us.

"We had obviously heard about not keeping babies in car seats overnight because it causes

curvature of the spine but not about anything like this.

"When my wee girl was a baby we did four-hour drives down to visit family in Cornwall and

we had never had any problems at all.

"The doctors did tell us in hospital that it is usually a concern with premature babies

but Harper is a big girl.

She was 8lb 5oz when she was born and she's 8lb 9oz now.

"After we got my head around that being the reason, Christopher and I felt so angry

at ourselves – we felt like we did this to our baby.

It was horrendous.

"But we've spoken to so many people and they had never heard about it either and then

some people have conflicting opinions on the time.

"That's why we knew we had to share what happened to Harper because parents need to

know.

Just two hours in a car seat and we could have lost her, it's terrifying.

"I would tell every parent to just really carefully watch their babies and if they don't

absolutely need to be in the car seat take them out because it is not worth what we had

to go through.

"Watch your baby and know your baby.

If something doesn't seem quite right take them straight to hospital."

Fortunately, Harper was able to make a full recovery and is perfectly healthy, but the

situation could have been so much worse had things played out differently.

Thankfully, Kirsti and Christopher acted quickly as soon as they realised something was wrong,

and the medics at the hospital were able to save the day.

Did you know about the danger to babies from staying in a car seat for too long?

Share this story and spread the word to family and friends.

It could save a young life!

Dr. Michael Brown's Amazing Testimony (ASKDrBrown) - Duration: 26:00.

Sid: Dr. Michael Brown discovered that the foundations of rabbinical Judaism were faulty,

next on this edition of It's Supernatural.

[music] Centuries have come and gone offering wisdom

and understanding throughout the ages.

Today there should be nothing beyond one's power to discover.

But yet the strange, unusual and mysterious world of the supernatural defies understanding.

Stay tuned for a unique and powerful investigation into a curious undiscovered universe only

on It's Supernatural.

Sid: Hello.

I'm Sid Roth your investigative reporter and I'm here with a friend of mine, Dr. Michael

Brown.

And Dr. Brown, you got what we Jewish call chutzpah, to say the foundations of rabbinical

Judaism are faulty.

Take me back to kind of the beginning when you began to even investigate, even think

that Jesus could be the Jewish Messiah.

Michael: Sid, the way I was raised on Long Island, nice Jewish home, my dad was a senior

lawyer on the New York Supreme Court, I never thought about Jesus at all.

He was for the gentiles just like Mohammed was for the gentiles.

Sid: Were you Bar Mitzvahed?

Michael: I was Bar Mitzvahed.

Sid: Were both your parents Jewish?

Michael: Both my parents were Jewish.

The fact is though it was Long Island conservative Judaism, kind of wishy-washy.

So that's what I thought Judaism was.

I didn't got to synagogue unless it was the high holy days.

So my dad would show up some weeks.

He'd get a call in the morning that they're short one man and he needed to the synagogue

because you needed at least ten people for the prayer group and so on.

So I didn't grow up religiously.

But I was religious enough to know Jesus is for the gentiles.

I used to ask the question, because I learned somewhere that he was actually Jewish.

I used to ask the question, when did he become Catholic, after he rose from the dead or something?

Because it was just nonsense to me.

Well when I was eight years old I started playing drums.

By the time I was Bar Mitzvahed, 13 years old, I was a pretty good drummer.

And it was just then, the late '60s, the whole rise in rock music and Woodstock, and the

Age of Aquarius, and do your own thing, well I started to get into rock music, and I started

to get interested in the whole drug culture associated with it.

Those were my heroes.

They were growing their hair long.

They were doing whatever they wanted.

They were getting high.

So I got introduced to drugs at the age of 14 and just for the fun of it, started to

get high.

I wasn't searching.

I wasn't looking for some philosophical meaning of life.

I was just a teenager.

I enjoyed getting high.

It became part of my identity.

By the time I was 15, I started shooting heroin just for fun.

And I could use these large quantities of drugs, larger than any of my friends and survive,

so now it was a source of pride for me.

Sid: Now did your parents have a clue as to what was going on?

Michael: They knew some of what was going on.

Their ideas were a little liberal and if they knew that I was smoking pot they would have

been a little bit concerned, but my dad wouldn't have thought it was that bad.

When they found out some of the stuff I was doing, they really panicked.

And then I convinced them, no I'm off of that.

I'm not doing anything bad.

And you know, they wanted to believe the best about me.

Sid: You lied.

Michael: Of course I lied.

I had to cover the whole thing up.

They knew something was up, but no clue to the extent of it.

My two best friends who played in the band with me, gentiles, started going to this little

church.

They went to the church because they liked two girls who were in the church.

The girls went to the church because their uncle was the pastor and their dad was praying

for them.

And this was a church that talked about the miraculous, people having demons in them,

demons leaving, wild stuff.

With our drug background, this was, we thought, wow, cool, speaking in tongues, miracles,

demons being driven out of people.

Wow.

They started to go just kind of out of fascination.

God started to deal with them and change them little by little, by little.

I thought I didn't like it.

I went to this church to pull them out in the summer of 1971.

But the people were so nice, about 50 people.

They were mainly older people.

They were so nice I thought, well okay, you have your religion, I have mine.

I'll do my own thing.

And Sid, I did all the drugs, I did, I even stole money from my parents and I never felt

guilty, not a single time.

But they must have been praying for me because I started to be uncomfortable.

I couldn't sleep at night when I would get high.

I started to look at my life how I cheated friends, how I stole from my parents.

I started to feel guilty.

I didn't realize it was the Holy Spirit dealing with me.

I had no clue.

I went back to the church just because I was feeling guilty about being so mean to my friends,

November 12, 1971, and at the end of the service, they said, "If you believe that Jesus died

for your sins, come forward, you can accept him."

And I thought, silly little thing.

But you know, all these old people, they think I'm this wicked, wicked person.

But when I went there the first time one of the girls wrote in her diary, "Antichrist

comes to church."

So I thought, you know, if I go up there with my long hairÖ

Sid: Right.

Michael: Öthey'll really think this is a neat thing.

So I went up just not even meaning it.

As I started to say these words out loud with the pastor, "I believe Jesus died for me,"

something started to go off in me.

I said, I somehow believe this is true.

I'm not willing to change.

I'm not willing to give up my sins.

I loved what I was doing.

So I prayed this stupid prayer.

I was just 16.

I prayed a stupid prayer.

Sid: What was that?

Michael: God, you know when I go home tonight I'm gonna to shoot cocaine.

I had just gotten a large quantity of cocaine.

You know when I get home I'm gonna shot it.

If you don't want me to do this, when I put the needle in my arms, don't let it have any

effect.

Stupid prayer.

I wasn't even saved yet.

I'm just starting to open my heart to God.

So I went home.

I smoked some powerful drugs then I got the cocaine ready, shot up my arm, my heart started

to pound and then everything stopped.

No high.

Sid: Stop?

Michael: Zero.

Sid: Had that ever happened before?

Michael: No.

Sid: That can't happen.

Michael: Well I did a lot of it, too.

And my body began to respond and then stopped.

Zero.

So I realized, okay, something is up here.

About five weeks went by and I was in turmoil.

Should I do the will of God?

And I knew that meant believing in Jesus and giving up my sins that meant no more being

a rock star.

I played on an album already at the age of 15 and I was pretty good.

All my dreams are going to have go down the tubes.

I'm going to have to live for God or am I going to keep following my sin.

And I went to a service in December, December 17, and it was just they're singing these

hymns that was culturally different from me.

But there was this joy that came over me.

And I realized God loves me.

God loves me enough that he sent Jesus to die in my place for all the wicked things

that I did and he's washed me clean, and he's invited me into his family.

And I said, how in the world can I be doing what I'm doing.

And right then on the spot, no coercion, no one talking to me, no one saying a word, I

said, God, I will never put a needle in my arms again.

Sid, that wasó Sid: Did you?

Michael: Never did it, from that moment on, not a single time.

That was a huge mountain for me, Sid.

Psychologically, mentally, physically, I had to do drugs.

If it wasn't a physical addiction, it was a mental addiction.

It was an addiction to the needle.

It was emotional.

I'd do the most, I broke into houses, I broke into a doctor's office just for drugs.

Sid: There is something called withdrawal.

To just stop cold turkey, the body, the mind developsó

Michael: I was set free.

I was instantlyó Sid: No rebellion.

Michael: Instantly free, physically, emotionally, psychology.

Two days after that, I said, God, I will never get high again in any way.

I got tempted one time to almost get high, to smoke some stuff, two weeks later, put

it down, ran from it, never touched another thing from that point on.

Sid: Listen, if I was your parents, especially an attorney with the State Supreme Court I'd

trot you out to my local rabbi.

Michael: Sid, that's what my dad did.

He was thrilled.

He said, "Michael, you're not doing," they saw the change.

They knew it was real now on every level.

They said, "Okay, great.

Now what you need to do is come back to our traditions.

You need to, I mean, it's good you're off drugs, but we're Jews."

He called the rabbi and panicked, "What do I do?

My son is getting baptized.

What do I do?"

Sid: You think.

Michael: The rabbi said, "Don't worry about it.

He'll just be a baptized Jew.

Don't worry about him."

So I started dialoging with the local rabbi.

And you know what happened?

Sid: What?

Michael: This guy was a graduate from the Jewish Theological Seminar, brilliant young

man, ten years older than me.

He said, "Listen, you are more spiritual than I am, Mike.

If we were both Buddhists, you would be a more religious Buddhist than I am."

He said, "It's just your nature to be more religious than me now that you've found religion."

He said, "But yours is a misguided spirituality."

He said, "I'm not spiritual enough to help you because I'm just a conservative rabbi

and conservative is really not deep enough for you.

You need to meet the orthodox.

You need to go with me to the Chasidim, to the ultra-orthodox, because they are just

as spiritual as you are, but they're right."

So we began a friendship.

Sid: That does sound fair.

Michael: Sounds fair.

He brought me to Brooklyn, New York and I met some rabbis in the Lubavitch Chasidic

group.

Many people know them as some of the most zealous around the world.

They have missionaries.

They would have these things called mitzvah tanks, these big vans that would be in the

streets of Manhattan.

They'd tell Jews, come on, you're Jewish, come on, come on, come in.

Put on filling, say the prayers.

Do this, do that, you know.

Sid: So they're very great at proselytizing.

Michael: They are missionaries to the Jews, Jewish missionaries to the Jews.

Sid: You would think Jews don't proselytize, but that's not true.

Michael: For the most part, it's not customary and they're not reaching out gentiles.

They're reaching out to Jews just like me to bring me back.

So 1973, I'm just 18 years old, I've been reading the Bible day and night, I've memorized

thousands of verses.

Anybody that comes to come to talk to me, Sid, any person from a cult, a Mormon, Jehovah's

Witness, whoever they are, I mow them down with my knowledge of Scripture.

I answer their arguments.

I get them to leave what they believe and come believe what I believe.

I'm going to do the same with these rabbis, Sid.

I'm gonna go in.

I'm gonna mow them down with my knowledge of scripture.

I'm going to show them Jesus is the Messiah.

It's going to be great.

Sid: So?

Michael: Well first thing I get there and the rabbi has me stick my head in the synagogue

there.

See, the synagogue I went to, you walk in and there as a little box with yarmulkes,

the head covering.

Sid: Right.

Michael: And you'd put one on, because you didn't wear it all the time.

I walked in.

He made sure my head was covered.

He said, "Mike, they don't have a little box with yarmulkes here because they're all religious

Jews.

They wear the yarmulkes day and night."

Well I look in and they look more Jewish than I did.

I mean, when I saw them with their long beards and the shawls over their heads praying, I

thought, that's the way I kind of pictured Moses and Old Testament people.

Well I go to sit with these guys and I pull out my King James Bible and I've got all the

answers.

Sid: Ready for bed.

Michael: Well they pull out their Hebrew Bibles and said, "Can you read Hebrew?"

I remembered a little from my Bar Mitzvah.

I hadn't started college yet and I promised this rabbi friend that I would start studying

Hebrew in college.

I had figured out the letters, but I couldn't even read it.

They said, "Sit here, we'll explain it."

They said, "You can't rely on those English translations."

I'd read something and they'd go, "That's terrible."

They said, "That's not what it says."

I'd say, "Okay, what about that?"

He answered.

"This, what's your answer to this this?"

And they'd pull out these commentaries.

Then they'd read, they said, "There's your answer."

Everything I hit them with, they had an answer.

Nobody every answered my questions before.

Nobody had ever responded to me like that.

Sid: So what does Dr. Michael Brown do?

He's up against someone that knows more than him.

What does he do?

Stay tuned.

We'll be right back.

We'll return with Sid Roth and It's Supernatural right after this.

Sid: Hello.

I'm Sid Roth your investigative reporter.

How would you like to be 18 years old, Jewish, father an attorney for the New York Supreme

Court, good home.

You come to the conclusion that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah.

You memorize thousands of scriptures.

You're good.

And then you come against a Lubavitch rabbi that has devoted most of his life studying

to prove that Jesus is not the Messiah.

Mike Brown, what happened next?

Michael: Well Sid, these guys were specialist.

They weren't just learned rabbis.

They were specialists in dealing with young people, old people just like me, compassionate,

nice guys.

In fact, when we met this guy on the street, my rabbi friend said to him, "How are you

doing, Baruch HaShem," which is praise the Lord.

He said, "Thank God, thank God."

And I thought.

Sid: Godly.

Michael: I thought we were the only ones that said stuff like, praise the Lord and thank

God, and these guys knew that they really didn't know God.

They were just going through the motions.

No, they were very religious, very kindly, reached out to me.

They said, "You're a real mensch, you're all right."

They were complimentary to me.

But everything I threw at them, they had an answer.

Now some of the answers I have to admit seemed a little silly to me.

But whatever I'd hit them with, no reaction.

When I'd finally hit them with one, I said, "You won't have any answer to this.

This comes straight from the New Testament."

And they said, "Normally people don't come from that angle."

They pull out the commentaries, they give me an explanation.

It took the wind out of me, and I thought, these guys are Jews.

They're reading in Hebrew.

They've studied all their lives.

A lifestyle of studying prayer really appeals to them.

They're telling me to come back to our traditions.

Now they didn't try to call me in right then and there.

It was a matter of nice talking, let's get together again.

And I left there, and the rabbi I was with didn't realize how many questions I had, because

he knew how deep my faith was.

So we just kind of small talked on the way home.

And I thought, God, what do I do here.

I've got some genuine questions and I was determined, there's only one thing.

Because I'd go to my Christian books and Christian commentaries, and I'd come back to the rabbi,

and I'd say, "Well Rabbi, I've studied this," and he'd say, "Forget it, Mike, it's nonsense.

They don't even know Hebrew."

Now these guys did know Hebrew.

They were good scholars.

But he used to tell me, "They don't even know Hebrew."

I told them, "Look I got this in the Concordance, in the back of the Concordance."

There's a Hebrew dictionary.

So while I'm looking up words in the Bible, he said, "Forget it, Mike, it's nonsense.

You need to learn it on your own."

So I started college as a music major.

I went back to some texts in English, and I said, okay, whatever the rabbi said, now

that I'm out of that presence, it almost put a spell on me, now that I'm out of that

presence thinking clearly, okay, these passages, they really didn't answer.

But I don't know Hebrew.

How can I tell them they're wrong?

What gives me the right?

So I started studying Hebrew in college, ended up becoming a Hebrew major.

That led to interest in ancient near eastern languages and I thought, if I'm going to learn

this, I got to learn it right, so I can look in the eyes of any rabbi in the world and

say, I differ with you, not because of what a dictionary tells me, not because of what

a commentary tells me, because I studied it on my own.

Because they kept telling me, "If you knew more you wouldn't be a follower of Jesus.

You wouldn't be some kind of Christian.

You'd be doing what we're doing."

And in the midst of this Sid: Were you, let me ask you a question,

were you studying all of these near eastern languages, because your faith was threatened

or because you wanted to really understand it?

Why were you?

Michael: I wanted to really understand.

The aspect of my faith being threatened, honestly Sid, was a momentary kind of thing.

It was in the midst of the arguments being thrown at me and the emotion, and the appeal.

Look, you're a Jew, come back to our people.

Sid: Why did you study all of those languages?

I mean, I could see Hebrew.

Why did you study, you speak, read or write some 12 different eastern, near eastern languages

today.

Why?

Michael: Honestly, if you're really going to learn biblical Hebrew right, it's one language

from the ancient dialects.

To really learn it right, you've got to learn the other dialects.

You've got to be able to compare.

You've got to see where the words came from, how they're used.

Because the Hebrew Bible is not that big a book and that's the main resource we have

for the biblical language.

So I really dove in.

But there was an incident that happened along the way that's important.

They kept telling me, as I'm learning Hebrew I started learning Arabic, I started studying

Yiddish and German, and Greek, and Latin, these other languages in college so I could

read all the relative literature.

They said, "Look, you've spent Shabbat with us.

You've never had a Sabbath experience with us."

I said, "Well I go to church on Friday night.

I'll drive."

They said, "No you can't because then we're making and breaking the law."

So I finally agree, one Yom Kippur, one Day of Atonement, I would go.

It was 1975.

I was going to be getting married the next year.

I would go and spend Yom Kippur with them, and fast and pray with them the whole day.

And I began to see God earnestly.

I said, "God, I'm a Jew.

I'm going to follow you no matter what.

If following you meant renouncing Jesus and leaving everything behind, I'll do it because

I love you and I want to please you.

But if following you means doing what I believe and know to be true in following Jesus even

if the whole community comes against me and I have to suffer the disgrace for you, I'll

do it."

And I'll tell you, being with these dear, sincere people praying, they said, "Okay,

now you beat your chest and now you pray these prayers."

Any religious Jew, secular Jew that goes to temple that prays these endless prayers, confesses

every kind of sin, you leave the same way you came in, no assurance or forgiveness.

And I would talk with them in between prayer times, and I would talk with the guys in the

synagogue, and talk with the family I was staying with, and I was shocked.

None of them had the relationship with God that I had.

None of them knew God the way I did.

None of them, yeah, they may have revered him and feel that if they do bad, bad things

will happen, if they do good, it will go well.

They were doing what their fathers did, their grandfathers, their great-grandfathers.

They said, "It's pretty good, good enough for my father, good enough for my kids."

I said, "What about knowing God?

What about walking with God?"

They said, "Well, there's one commentary that suggests that sometimes when you pray."

I said, "What about your own experience with God?"

Sid: Hold that thought right now.

I want to find out some of the specific arguments that these learned rabbis had as to why Jesus

is not the Messiah.

We'll be right back.

Sid: Hello.

I'm Sid Roth your investigative reporter.

I'm speaking to Dr. Michael Brown.

He is, has a Ph.D. from New York University in eastern languages and literatures.

And he's, as a young man, got together with rabbis, not just rabbis, specialists from

the Lubavitcher movement, that have spent a lifetime almost trying to prove Jesus is

not the Messiah, to rescue Jews like Dr. Michael Brown.

Michael, tell me one argument that they posed to you and perhaps what your response is.

Michael: Well one of the most common arguments is if Jesus is really the Messiah, why isn't

there peace on Earth?

Sid: Right.

Michael: Since two thousand years ago, why have things gotten worse and worse, and worse,

and worse?

And the simple answer, see, the funny thing is the more I study, the more I learn.

The stronger that my faith became, the more answers there were.

Sid: It should be that way.

People should not be afraid to study and think for themselves.

Michael: No.

The Bible never tells us to turn off our minds.

When Jesus said that we're to love God, he said that we're to love God with our hearts,

soul, mind and strength.

That's what Yeshua was saying.

So there's a simple answer.

When you look at the Hebrew Scriptures, the Messiah had to come before the Temple was

destroyed.

He had to come, he had to make atonement for sins.

There are three clear prophecies that indicate that Messiah had to come before the second

temple was destroyed.

Sid: Which was in 70 A.D.

Michael: 70.

A.D., which is over 1900 years ago.

And not only so, there are traditions in the Talmud that say the last 40 years before the

Temple was destroyed, God no longer accepted the sacrifices on the Day of Atonement.

Sid: Why didn't God accept it?

Michael: Jesus the Messiah died as a sacrificial lamb 40 years before the Temple was destroyed.

And according to something I had never read, nobody ever told me about this, Jewish tradition

as recorded in the Talmud, it says, "The death of the righteous makes atonement."

So the perfectly righteous one, the Messiah, offered his blood on our behalf, died, we

didn't need the other sacrifices.

But people said, "But wait, wasn't he supposed to bring peace?"

They don't realize the Talmud says, "If we are righteous, the Messiah will come with

the clouds in Heaven," because that's what Daniel said.

"But if we're wicked, he'll come riding on a donkey," because that's what Zachariah said.

It's not either, or.

It's both, and.

He came riding on a donkey to a sinful generation and died for our sins.

He'll come in the clouds of Heaven when we welcome him back as a people.

One Messiah bringing redemption to the whole world and then when we Jews welcome him back,

he'll come and establish his kingdom here.

It's a simple answer.

It makes sense biblical.

It even makes sense according to Jewish tradition.

Sid: Okay.

I've got the most important question.

The beginning of this telecast, we stated that you believe that the literal foundations

of Rabbinic Judaism are faulty.

What are their foundations?

Why do you say they are faulty?

Michael: We call it Rabbinic Judaism because it's the Judaism passed on by the rabbis.

Traditional Judaism, it's the Judaism passed on by tradition.

It says, I learned it from my father who learned it from his, back, back, back, back all the

way to the rabbis of the Talmud, all the way back to the prophets, all the way back to

Moses.

Sid: It's like my father said, do it because I said do it.

Michael: Right.

And that's the way I learned it, by tradition.

Now here's the whole thing.

This is the view.

We cannot understand the Torah by ourselves.

We cannot understand the Hebrew Bible by ourselves.

Someone has to explain what it means.

Jews believe there was an oral law that God gave, this is the traditional view, God gave

Mt. Sinai to Moses, a written law and an oral law, and the oral law explains the written.

And now it's passed down, passed down, passed down to every generation that expanded, and

so on.

If you look at the Five Books of Moses, pretty small, just a couple hundred pages maybe.

And then you look at Jewish tradition, look at the Talmud.

Look at what's added on.

Do you know on the Sabbath, according to traditional Jewish law, you can only brush your hair with

a soft brush because with a hard brush it might actually be considered work.

Sid, where did that come from?

It supposedly came from the oral tradition.

The problem is in many cases, the oral tradition contradicts the written.

Sid: How could oral contradict the written, which we know came from Moses?

Michael: That's one of the faulty foundations.

See, if I believe that when the Bible says in Exodus 23, "Do not follow the majority,

follow God," and the rabbis tell me that it actually means, follow the majority, do what

we tell you.

You know, there's Jewish tradition that says, if the sages, the rabbinical leaders tell

you that the right hand is the left hand, believe them, because the spirit that used

to be on the prophets is now on the sages.

The bottom line is that many, many times our traditions make void the Word of God.

God said, "If you sin, I'll destroy the Temple.

I won't receive your sacrifices or your prayers."

The Temple is destroyed.

What do the rabbis say?

Prayer has now taken the place of sacrifice.

Instead of saying, God was wrong, we don't have a Temple, we don't atonement, prayer

has not taken the place of sacrifice.

Sid: What you're saying is absolutely outrageous.

It's wrong and any fair-minded Jew that understands what you just said would agree.

Why don't the Jewish people agree?

Michael: First thing is a lot of them never really study it out.

If you ask your average Jew, how come you're not a Buddhist?

Well who's ever thought about it?

If you ask your average Christian, how come you're not a Muslim, no one has thought about.

They haven't been presented with the issue.

They have learned from the very first day, a traditional Jew studying Torah, to believe

the explanation given.

It doesn't matter how twisted.

It doesn't matter how illogical.

It's like a chess game.

If you carry it out long enough, see, we'll prove our point.

One of the strongest proofs to me that I should not be a traditional Jew was traditional Judaism.

The more I talked with the rabbis, the more I studied, the more I found out how Scripture

was interpreted.

They used to tell me, when you understand what commentary says, then you read the commentary

on the commentary, you find that you didn't even understand the commentary, 300 times

the Talmud has a legal discussion and it comes to a conclusion, let it stand, we have no

conclusion, we don't have an answer.

Sid: Wait a second.

We have no answer?

They've got so many books your library can't even hold it.

Here's the answer.

Ask God.

Be honest before God.

You remember Dr. Michael Brown prayed a prayer, he didn't even totally believe it.

Pray this prayer right now out loud: Dear God, I'm a sinner.

I'm so sorry because it's against you that I've sinned.

I turn from my sins.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins and by his blood my sins are washed away.

I make Jesus my Messiah and Lord.

Amen.

For those of you that said that prayer or could not, just say, God, show me the truth

about Jesus.

That's all he's waiting for.

Whether you're Jewish or gentile, God loves you.

God has a plan for your life, a purpose, a destiny.

Remember what Mike said, joy, joy.

Not even contingent on circumstances.

Just God.

Just God.

The Golden Soul Of An Empath And A Deal With The Devil - Duration: 3:51.

The Golden Soul Of An Empath And A Deal With The Devil

By Sara Blaylock

Empath The compromise I made with my creator.

Allow me to feel everything, allow me to feel fully alive.

Yet, to do so, you must feel the pain of every other being that comes before you.

Some days I feel as though Ive made a deal with the devil. But only some days. The rest

come with a sacred responsibility and a choice, to either be consumed or empowered.

The thing is, this world needs us. We are the ones that notice. We see what others cant

see and we feel when others dont.

My previous partner would probably describe my empathic ways as neurotic. I could see,

feel and hear his pain and was forcing him to heal. At the time, I didnt realize it

wasnt my place, it wasnt my pain and I invaded his darkness when he wasnt ready.

Theres a line I crossed and the hardest thing was walking away knowing there was nothing

I could do. Its a painful thing to accept when I have this inflated sense of responsibility

etched into my bones. I think that is where we struggle, boundaries can be non-existent,

we want to crack you open and watch you heal.

Just a simple I am okay doesnt get past us and we cant help but dive into

your pain with you and keep you afloat until you figure out how to swim on your own again.

It is an instinctual devotion to healing the world life by life. We exist to get lost with

you, grieve with you and rejoice with you.

Sometimes we are still lost even when youre found because we forget it is not our pain.

Then a fellow empath will lead us home. Its a domino effect of guidance and stubborn souls.

If youre in love with an empath the journey will be intense. Youll walk in a constant

truth alongside us because we physically cant hide our emotions. You will always be in the

know. Youll never be alone and therell never be an issue that cant be discussed.

We have caressed pain so well and learnt its dimensions for years. Theres no place for

us to fear anyone elses but our own. Ours is secondary and we know this can be harmful

to us yet we know no other way. The world can become an extremely dark place at times

and this can require a great deal of alone time. This is the time we take to differentiate

our own pain and the pain of others we carry.

It hurts. It f*****g hurts. But what are we to do if we made a promise to the land.

Andrew Boyd said it well.

Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for

everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others.

You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong

enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst

horrors.

? Andrew Boyd

So let us celebrate these wonders that bless the earth and allow them to hold you within

their wings until you discover that strength inside you once again.
