Youtube daily report w Nov 30 2018

As you probably know, a wiki is a website which consists of collaborations of people

modifying content.

The most popular of these sites is none other than Wikipedia.

It was launched on January 15, 2001, by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger.

The former once said, "Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is

given free access to the sum of all human knowledge.

That's what we're doing."

And they did a good job.

You can find 301 languages on Wikipedia, but the English language version is easily the

biggest.

Right now, in English you can find 5.7 million articles, and 46 million pages, which have

been edited 860 million times and looked at by 1,203 admins.

It's not surprising then, that there's some weird stuff you can find on Wikipedia.

And that's what we'll look at today, in this episode of the Infographics Show, the

Scariest Wikipedia articles.

10.

Ultimate fate of the universe We'll start with this merry page that deals

with destruction- the destruction of everything.

It tells us that some cosmologists believe the universe will just keep expanding forever.

The concept of infinity is hard to get our heads around, but so is the concept of absolute-nothing.

Nonetheless, there are theories regarding the end of the universe and none of them sound

very nice.

We have something called "The Big Rip".

This is when dark energy gets stronger and gradually starts to pull everything apart.

Galaxies move away from each other, space gets bigger, star systems get pulled apart,

and you end up with a universe with nothing in it.

Then you have "The Big Crunch", which is space collapsing into a dimensionless singularity.

In this scenario the big bang happens and then it's followed by the big crunch and

the cycle continues infinitely.

Then you have the "Big Bounce" theory, which basically means that the Big Bang was

the result of a previous universe collapsing, and so this one will collapse so another can

be born.

In any case, it's likely that the universe won't disappear during your lifetime, so

you don't have to worry.

That said, some of things you're about to hear you probably should be worried about.

9.

Project MKUltra Americans might feel a pang of fear if they

head to this page, which tells us about their government conducting very unethical mind

experiments on their own people.

In the 50s, 60s and 70s the CIA engaged in activities, often totally illegal, which used

human guinea pigs to test if people's minds could be controlled.

They gave some of these people LSD and other chemical concoctions, which was scary enough,

but other times they just mentally and physically tortured people, isolated them or tried to

get into their heads using hypnosis.

Sometimes these experiments happened in prisons, but they also took place in colleges, universities

and hospitals.

It's quite unbelievable what they would try and make test subjects do, after say a

large dose of drugs or days of brainwashing tied to a chair.

They'd try and make subjects age faster or slower; make them go out in public and

disgrace themselves; cause them memory loss or brain damage; make them totally dependent

on another person; mess up their eyesight and hearing; or even give them substances

to physically disable them.

This shocking page tells us consent protocols were not followed and if subjects' heads

weren't just messed up forever more, sometimes they died.

But as it was top secret, we may never know the full extent of the damage.

8.

Lizzie Borden This case is unsolved and so makes for some

interesting reading.

The story goes that on August 4, 1892, Lizzie's father and stepmother were found at their

home in Massachusetts dead, both savagely hacked to death with an axe.

Could it really have been this gentle-looking girl?

Some people thought so, mainly because right after the murders she burned the dress she'd

been wearing that day.

It was suspected she did that because it was covered in blood.

Whoever hacked the bodies really put some effort into it, say the reports.

But she was never found guilty of the crime and it remained a mystery.

The case of the axe murders has become one of America's great unsolved crimes.

If that's not scary enough, listen to this.

7.

June and Jennifer Gibbons These were two identical twins that were born

in 1963 and grew up in Wales.

They took their closeness to heart and decided that they would not communicate with anyone

but themselves.

That's why they became known as "The Silent Twins."

Their parents were from the Caribbean and so the twins spoke Bajan Creole, which was

very hard to understand for anyone living in Wales.

Also, they were the only black kids in town and this led to bullying.

This is why the kids decided they wouldn't speak to anyone else.

When they did speak they spoke in a language only they could understand.

There is actually a word for twins creating their very own language and that is "cryptophasia."

Crypto means secret and phasia means speech.

Therapists would try and get them to speak to others, but they simply refused to do so.

Then the therapists decided to put them in different boarding schools when the twins

were 14, but after that both of them fell catatonic.

They were reunited and stayed most of the time in their bedroom together making plays

with dolls.

They then both started writing novels about what Wikipedia tells us were people who "exhibit

strange and often criminal behavior."

After that they got into crime themselves and were eventually committed to Broadmoor

mental health hospital.

They spent 12 years in there and were often given overly strong antipsychotic medications.

This bizarre tale gets more bizarre.

The twins made a pact that the only way that one of them could start speaking to other

people was if the other gave up her life.

And so, one of the twins called Jennifer suddenly got very sick and died.

It's a mystery how she died, but it's thought she killed herself.

The other twin then started speaking to people.

She once said, "I'm free at last, liberated, and at last Jennifer has given up her life

for me."

She is still alive.

6.

Dyatlov Pass incident Now for more strangeness, this time in Russia.

The story is about nine ski-hikers that went on a trip to the Ural Mountains in February

1959 and never came back.

They were all experienced outdoors people, and all studied at the same university.

All we know is that on one bitterly cold night something made them rush out from their tents,

not dressed for such cold temperatures.

Later Soviet authorities found them, and they were all dead.

One of them had a fractured skull, others had fractured ribs, and one person was missing

her tongue and eyes.

Wiki tells us, "Six of the group members died of hypothermia and three of fatal injuries."

But to this day no one knows what happened to those nine young people.

Was it an attack from local indigenous people?

Some people thought aliens did it as flying spheres had been seen in the sky.

Was it an avalanche?

Was it a secret military exercise or was it a Russian yeti?

The truth is out there, perhaps.

5.

Joyce Vincent This one is just downright sad, but also strange.

Joyce was a British woman who died in 2003 in her small flat in London.

The sad thing is, is that she wasn't found until 2006 when all that remained of her were

her bones.

It's said that even though her family life wasn't bad, she distanced herself from her

parents.

She had jobs and had a relationship, but it's said her partner beat her and so she left

and didn't want to be found.

She died of unknown causes, but it seems no one said anything about her disappearing.

As she lied on her sofa dead, the TV played and played, while half of her rent was being

paid for by the Metropolitan Housing Trust.

It was only when the bills stacked up that housing officials went around to see what

was going on.

When they arrived, they found letters sent to her from her family.

The TV was still playing, and the heating was turned on.

They discovered her skeletal remains next to shopping bags and Christmas gifts she had

wrapped, that we expect she was about to send.

A movie was made about her called, "Dreams of a Life."

4.

Benjaman Kyle This is the tale of an American man who had

a very bad case of dissociative amnesia, which is memory loss that can go back years.

His name wasn't actually Benjaman, but when he was found outside a fast-food restaurant

in Georgia in 2004 he didn't know who he was so that is the name he was given as he

believed that could have been his name.

When authorities found him and took him to hospital the guy was quite surprised to learn

he was 20 years older than he thought he was.

He spent much of the ensuing years either homeless or working odd jobs, but in 2016

he got a break when DNA samples revealed who he was.

His name in fact was William Burgess Powell.

3.

Kelly–Hopkinsville encounter Do you believe in Gremlins?

We doubt it.

But in Kentucky in 1955 a bunch of people did, or at least they believed they were attacked

by little green things.

This case is one of the most famous UFO/alien sightings in history, only because it all

sounds so real.

On August 21, 1955, five adults and seven children went to the local police station

all saying that their farmhouse had come under attack by aliens and they'd being fending

them off for about four hours.

It's true that many gunshots had been fired as bullet holes were found everywhere.

The cops went to look for these 12 to 15 creatures, but they weren't there.

The family went back to the farmhouse but then apparently packed their bags and left

when the creatures returned again in the middle of the early morning.

Experts have since said that the family wasn't making it up, but they weren't shooting

at Gremlins but probably Great Horned Owls.

2.

Euthanasia Coaster This has been called a rollercoaster that

"sends out 24 people and they all come back dead."

Hence the euthanasia coaster, but it would also have worked as an execution roller-coaster.

The concept and scale-model were created by Julijonas Urbonas when he was doing his PhD

at the Royal College of Art in London.

Urbonas, who had once worked at an Amusement Park, said it was a way to die "with elegance

and euphoria."

24 people would be taken in cars up a steep incline of 1,670 feet (510-metres).

When they got to the top they had the choice of getting off.

If the answer was no, they would be sent at a speed of 110 mph (180 kph) hurtling down

a track towards a series of clothoid inversions (spirals) that would get smaller and smaller.

This crazy ride would kill its passengers by way of cerebral hypoxia (lack of oxygen

getting to the brain).

Going around those inversions with the g-force would eventually lead to black-out and then

death.

Wiki writes, "Subsequent inversions would serve as insurance against unintentional survival

of particularly robust passengers."

At the end there is a place for the corpses to be dropped off and then it can reload for

the new passengers waiting for the last ride of their lives.

The ride not surprisingly has never been put to the test, but it's still a freaky thing

in itself.

1.

Michael Taylor (demoniac) This story takes place in Ossett, West Yorkshire,

England, in 1974.

30-year old Taylor was a butcher, but it also seems he was known for his very erratic behavior.

So much so, that it was decided that he might have the devil in him and he should be exorcised.

That was performed by an Anglican priest and a Methodist clergyman.

They believed that during the exorcism they "cast out at least forty demons, including

those of incest, bestiality, blasphemy, and lewdness."

Unfortunately, the two men of the cloth were utterly exhausted at the end of it and said

three demons remained in Michael.

Those were the demons of insanity, murder, and violence.

They still allowed the young man to go home.

When he got home he attacked his wife, tearing out her eyes, her tongue, most of her face

in fact, and beating her so bad she died.

He did this with his bare hands.

He then strangled the family poodle.

Police found him in the streets covered in blood.

The courts said he was insane and sent him to Broadmoor mental facility.

He did get out, but years later committed more crimes and once again started to look

dangerous.

He was sent back into psychiatric care and that's where he remains today.

I Read My FAVORITE BOOKTUBER'S FAVORITE BOOKS♡ /#Lalathon - Duration: 11:09.

Hi friends! My name is Gaby and welcome to my channel.

Today's video is definitely different

Let me tell you..

When November started, my favorite booktuber, Kayla from Booksandlala

hosted a reading marathon about rereading her favorite books

I am going to leave her channel name on screen

or down in the description box, so you can check her channel out

I think this readathon started as a joke

on her instagram stories, but it actually became a thing

I decided to participate in the readathon

It took place at the start of November, and it was ten days long

But I only managed to read one book during the readathon

So naturally, I decided to keep reading Lala's favorite books all throughout November

This readathon focuses on reading

Kayla's favorite books, as she rereads some of these

She has around 150 favorite books

So there was a lot to choose from!

I didn't want to buy any new books for the readathon

because I have around 60+ unread books on my shelves

She made a video about all her favorite reads, and going off of that

I selected the ones that I currently have on my bookshelf.

I focused on reading only those titles

during these past three weeks.

In this video, I will share which of Kayla's favorite books I read

during #Lalathon and I will tell you if I loved them too or not

First, I will talk about the books that I started reading

but for some reason was unable to finish

and then I'll move on to the books I did finish

This book is about a young king named Khalid

Like the singer

He's one of my favorites

He is the Caliph of Khorasan

He is known to kill his wives

His wives end up dead the next day after the wedding

The story's main female character is named Shahrzad

She willingly marries the Caliph

The reason Shahrzad willingly risks her life is because she seeks vengeance

for the death of her friend, who previously died at the hands of Khalid

Shahrzad has made a plan to avenge her friend's death and succeeds to live the first night.

That is all I know about this book

I did not read much further than that

Out of all the books I own, and were on Kayla's list of favorites

there were others that peaked my interest more.

I do want to give this a chance at a later time.

I just didn't want to focus on this one during November.

I didn't want to read this feeling rushed

As you can see, it is not a short book

I want to dedicate the time to really get into the story

The next one on the list is Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado

I bought this book specifically because Kayla talked about this in a video

or maybe several videos.

It sounded very interesting. It has a strong feminist feel

It's made up of different stories, and are all centered around women.

It's in the sci-fi, horror, suspense genre

Ever since she mentioned it, I wanted to read it.

When I saw it on her readathon favorites list, I decided it would be a good time to tackle it.

I was truly excited to read this

but I ended up DNFing it

Unlike The Wrath and the Dawn, I don't see myself picking this up later

As I've said in other videos, I am not a huge sci fi,

horror fan. Even though horror is a genre that I do delve into from time to time

and I can enjoy it.

But this one was just, so strange.

I really wasn't enjoying myself at all with this one

I tried listening to the audiobook to make it go by faster

but even that didn't help at all.

I tried, and I think it'll just be a DNF.

The next book on the list is Donna Tartt's, The Goldfinch.

I have yet to finish reading this one. I am on page 140.

As you can see, it is a chunker of a book

It is very dense.

I started reading The Goldfinch prior to the readathon starting

I decided to hold off on this one for now.

I knew that if I attempted the read in November, it would have been the only book I would've read in the month

I really wanted to read more than one of Kayla's favorite books during the readathon so..

This is definitely not an easy read

It requires more time and attention

So far the book has been pretty good.

This book centers on a boy named Theo Decker

When he is 13 years old, his mom is victim to a terrorist attack in a New York museum.

He has to go live with a friend of his

His friend's family is very wealthy.

He is like a fish out of water, in a new and very different world than what he is used to

He and his mom lived a very normal, modest life

And now he is surrounded by society type people.

He missed his mom a lot.

As I've said, I'm only on page 140. There's not a whole lot I know about the story yet

This is a 700 page book, so I am far from finishing

I definitely want to continue on with this one

Once I finish it, I'll check in again

to let you know if I liked it or not.

The next book is If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

I gave this book a 3.75 rating on Goodreads

Do you guys also give half ratings?

Like a 3.5 or a 3.75

I tend to give a book a half rating when I'm not sure if I want to give it 3 or 4 stars

So I play it safe somewhere in the middle

But if I enjoyed it a little more than a half rating

that's when the .75 comes in

Anyway, this story centers on a tight knit friend group

that are theater majors in a school in..

I'm not sure where exactly, but it's in the U.S.

The main events in the book take place in the year 1997

That was a quick selling point for me.I love reading about the 90's

The main events in the story occur in 1997

and it is during this time in the story that the main character, Oliver Marks

ends up arrested and going to jail.

The book begins as Oliver is being released from jai

ten years later in 2007.

He is about to tell his story to the cop who was in charge of the investigation

ten years before.

We don't know if Oliver really was guilty

or he was covering for someone else

or what exactly happened in this friend group

that caused one of them to spend ten years in jail.

The premise quickly caught my attention

I ended up giving this book a 3.75 because

as I said before, the book is about a group of theater students

They are studying Shakespeare plays, and much of the dialogue in this book is right out of his plays

Pretty much everything that happens in these kids' lives

is in some way related to one of his plays

I am not that familiar with his work to fully enjoy a book that is heavily based on his plays

If you are a true fan of Shakespeare, and have read his work

then you will enjoy this book tremendously

That was the main reason this didn't wow me

I also was not a huge fan of the ending and how certain things wrapped up

It's one of those books where I cannot say more

or we will be going into spoiler territory

Let's talk about the second book I finished during the readathon

It is one of my new favorites

I have a review of this book up on my channel

I am going to link it here or down below in the description box

If you want to check that out

This is the book! It's called Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

There's not a lot I can say about this book that I didn't already say in the review

I fangirled pretty hard over this one

It's a great book, 5 star read

I totally agree with Kayla on this one

Such a wonderful read!

The third book I read is The Wife by Meg Wolitzer

Unlike some of the books I've shown you today, this one is pretty short

Even though it's on the short side, it did take me a week to finish it

Honestly, there were days I didn't have time or I simply didn't feel like reading

It doesn't have to do with the content, because the book is quite good

I also gave this 5 stars on Goodreads

Another great recommendation I get from watching Booksandlala

I actually don't own this book; I borrowed it from the library

I saw this was New In, and I felt like picking it up

I knew this title was on Kayla's favorite books so it worked out well

This book is about a woman named Joan Castleman

When the book begins, we are introduced to Joan who is around 60+ years old

She is on her way to Helsinki in Finnland

with her husband Joe Castleman, who is being awarded a literature prize

On this long flight, she decides to leave her husband upon their return to New York

after more than 40 years of marriage.

Through Joan's remembrance we get to glimpse her life

Important events that shaped who she is in the present

What her life with Joe has been like

She met Joe in the 50's when she was a literature student at Smith University

The main theme here is feminism

At the time Joan marries Joe, things for women were very different

She decides to put her dreams of being a writer aside

She was a very talented writer

In fact, Joe was her teacher at Uni, and that's how they met

Joe always told her she was a gifted writer

But she quits her dream, and dedicates herself to her husband

she dedicates herself to her children instead of worrying about her own needs as a woman

That is why at 60 something, she decides she wants another shot at life

Things for women have changed, somewhat at least from when she was young

In the first chapters, it is evident Joan is somewhat envious of her husband's literary success

He made it big with his books, while the only accolade she received was being a great wife

It is a great book, and so short.

That is all for today's video

I read my favorite booktuber's favorite books

I will leave my social media links in the description box below

I have a bookstagram, twitter, goodreads

If you want to go say Hi

I will also link my second channel. I talk about beauty, life advice

Don't forget to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it

Subscribe to this channel, and press the bell icon

so you don't miss a video!

I will be uploading new videos every Tuesday

As always, thank you for watching

Sending you loads of positive vibes

See you in the next one!

Who the new Star Wars Episode 9 characters including Matt Smith may be - Breaking News 247 - Duration: 5:26.

Star Wars has found a new generation of fans with its sequel trilogy, but now we are awaiting the final installment in the Skywalker saga

The new film will see the return of our heroes Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), along with those of villains Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and General Hux (Domnhall Gleeson)

Original trilogy icon Billy Dee Williams will also reprise his role as Lando Calrissian, alongside Mark Hamill as his late character Luke Skywalker and a posthumous appearance from the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, courtesy of unused footage from the two preceding films

Promoted Stories  But with all these returns comes the arrival of some new characters with some very interesting castings, which fans already have some ideas about

So, we have gathered what we know about the five new arrivals. Who are Star Wars episode 9 new cast members?  The Americans star Russell was the first new addition to be cast in the closing chapter of the sequel trilogy, in a role that has been described as taking part in action sequences, so we know the character will be physically capable

Some have theorised that Russell is in fact playing Rey's mysterious mother, despite Kylo Ren's assertions in The Last Jedi that her parents were of little consequence

Others think she could be playing one of Ren's acolytes, the Knights of Ren, which would certainly allow her to show off some physical prowess

Fans of the Star Wars Expanded Universe novels and graphic novels are hopeful for the film debut of character Mara Jade, who uses the force and wound up marrying Luke Skywalker, despite the chronology of those stories now not being canon

It has also been rumoured that Russell shares dramatic scenes with Adam Driver, so perhaps she is vital to Rey or even the Skywalker dynasty as a whole

We doubt Russell will be given nothing to do, so regardless expect a big role. Naomi Ackie  The British star of Lady Macbeth has been cast in a role that set photos have confirmed her to be a resistance member, so she is one of the good guys - we hope

A Reddit user has recently claimed that she is more than just any old resistance member - she is the daughter of iconic original trilogy character Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams)

Her name is also apparently Veranda (Vera) Calrissian, according to Reddit user Temirblagg1, who let slip a number of plot details in a post

The British thespian star of My Beautiful Launderette has been cast in the film too

Initially fans speculated that Grant will play another Expanded Universe character, Grand Admiral Thrawn, who is now canon again thanks to series Star Wars: Rebels

Grant seemed to troll fans liking a tweet saying as much, but has since denied this to Radio Times

We have no information on who Grant is playing, but if he plays to type he will likely be a villain

Grant would make an ideal First Order officer or some crook on a delapidated world

Or even more importantly, could he be Rey's father? He has those lovely British tones to go with Daisy Ridley's oddly well-spoken Rey

The Lord of the Rings and Lost star Monaghan was announced a bit later into production, but the same Reddit leaker seems to have offered a little bit of information on Dominic's character

According to Temirblagg1, Dominic's character is a member of the Resistance abd Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) "confronts Dom's character and Dom laughs

He is a complex character it would seem, he may have lost a friend or something in this skirmish"

Sounds like we will be delving into some morally grey territory on the natures of war

We should hope so, it is Star Wars after all!  Monaghan and Abrams have worked together before, as evidenced by Monaghan's role as Charlie Pace in Lost

The former Doctor Who lead and The Crown star has been cast in an undisclosed role, but theories already abound as to who the actor will play

A large number of fans have predicted that Smith is playing a young version of Emperor Palpatine, the evil Sith leader of the Galactic Empire, played by thespian Ian McDiarmid in previous films

How this would come about would remain to be seen. Would he be a force ghost, a clone, a recording, a vision, or a flashback?  Either way, it's another casting with serious acting chops, and if he is Palpatine then it's a another iconic sci-fi character for Smith to play

As with most of the other castings, some have speculated a relation to Rey too. Read More Star Wars Episode IX  Star Wars: Episode IX is released in cinemas on December 19, 2019

Disturbing Wikipedia Pages - Duration: 12:29.

Respected Scientists Who Were Actually Terrible People - Duration: 5:32.

Scientists are way smarter than most people, but sometimes they change the world for the

worse.

We hear about the discoveries of some of the world's most famous scientists, but we don't

hear about the terrible stuff.

Here are respected scientists who were terrible people.

Erwin Schrodinger is most famous for a thought experiment about putting a cat in a sealed

box and rigging it up with a device that has a fifty-fifty chance of killing the cat.

As he argues, until you open the box and check for yourself, the cat exists in an uncertain

state where it is both alive and dead at the same time.

It turns out that's a pretty fitting legacy for this guy, since he proved you could be

a brilliant physicist, and also a complete scumbag.

Saying he had numerous affairs is putting it lightly.

According to his biographer, Schrodinger kept a series of "little black books" to record

the names of the women he had affairs with and to rate each of them.

At least three of his mistresses gave him children, and one provided him with the "inspiration"

to develop his famous wave equation.

They were all adults, and that's fine, but it gets much worse.

Schrodinger also did some tutoring, with students that included 14-year-old twins that he was

prone to fondling while they worked on their math lessons.

One of them, Ithi Junger, became pregnant three years later, and Schrodinger quickly

moved on.

Brothers John and William Hunter aren't household names, but they're credited with major discoveries

about human anatomy and the interactions between organs.

Unfortunately, they developed all of those discoveries through literal grave-robbing.

Both anatomists were connected to a shady assistant who "procured" cadavers for

them to dissect.

William's personal Igor was his unfortunately named assistant William Smellie, and some

historians believe the two were linked to a series of London murders between 1749 and

1755, which would likely make them responsible for the deaths of 40 pregnant women.

By the time the brothers were done, they had dissected more than 2,000 bodies gathered

up through straight up Frankenstein tactics.

Oh, and John?

He also pioneered the idea of taking teeth from the poor and giving them to the rich

as transplants.

Robin Hood, he was not.

James D. Watson turned his love of bird-watching into a career in research and genetics, and

then won a Nobel Prize for discovering the shape of DNA.

Unfortunately, there are more than a few people who believe he took credit for the work of

another scientist, Rosalind Franklin.

That's just the tip of this terrible iceberg, though.

Watson has gone on record as saying genetic engineering should be used to "make all girls

pretty," and he's spoken freely on his beliefs that there's a connection between race and

intelligence.

He ultimately retired in 2007 after giving an interview where he stated he was "inherently

gloomy about the prospect of Africa" because he disagreed with the premise that "their

intelligence is the same as ours."

This is the same guy who spoke out in 1997 in favor of allowing genetic testing to determine

whether a baby was going to be gay, adding that homosexuality should be a reason for

abortion.

In 2014, he also became the first person to sell his Nobel medallion, because he didn't

like the way the scientific community shunned him after his racist remarks.

Without Jack Parsons, or, to use his original and staggeringly awesome name, Marvel Whiteside

Parsons, there would be no space shuttle, not to mention the military applications of

his developments in rocketry.

He was an aeronautic genius... and he also believed he had summoned Satan when he was

13 years old.

Parsons was a huge devotee of occultist Aleister Crowley, and did a lot of dancing naked by

the moonlight.

That's not particularly terrible, but his attempts to summon the Antichrist through

weird sex-magick rituals he performed with the help of L. Ron Hubbard aren't exactly

good, either.

Without going into too much detail, the basics are that Parsons and Hubbard performed a series

of rituals to incarnate a goddess named Babalon.

Babalon would be the mother of the Antichrist, and they absolutely believed they had summoned

her in the body of Marjorie Cameron.

Cameron joined in all the bedroom fun, and while she did become pregnant, we'll never

know if it was really the Antichrist since she had an abortion.

You probably recognize John Harvey Kellogg's name, even if you don't know who he is.

He's the cereal guy, and he was also a surgeon and a pioneer in the field of nutrition who

promoted healthy foods like peanut butter, yogurt, and soy milk, making him pretty much

responsible for everything on your breakfast table.

If you've ever been disappointed by the lack of flavor in a bowl of cornflakes, there's

a reason for that.

Kellogg believed that tasty food led to rampant fornication, and told people that soy milk

was the only thing they should be thirsty for.

He even went as far as suggesting the use of spiked tools and acid burns to discourage

masturbation, and corn flakes?

He invented those to be so bland they couldn't possibly arouse any kind of desire in anyone.

He did most of his research into the relationship between nutrition and the soul at the Battle

Creek Sanitarium, where he also became one of the founding members of the Race Betterment

Foundation.

Through that, he started a eugenics registry that helped to push the supposed superiority

of anyone of a Nordic background.

So maybe just go ahead and stick to pancakes from now on.

William Buckland was a 19th-century geologist at Oxford University, and he documented geological

phenomenon, wrote papers on fossils and the dinosaurs, and made major strides in mineralogy.

He also made it part of his life's work to eat anything and everything.

And we do mean everything.

He ate moles, crocodiles, hedgehogs, and, worst of all, he was even known to have cooked

up some puppies.

He never said why he felt it necessary to eat puppies, but we do know he passed his

weird obsession on to his son, Francis.

When the boy was a child, his father encouraged him to ride and then eat a turtle that he

was allowed to behead for the cook "as a treat".

Much later, of course, that experience would lead Francis to grow up and found the evil

ninjas of the Foot Clan.

Why Some Men Can't Grow Beards - Duration: 3:10.

Narrator: Look at that beard.

The density. The thickness.

It's what a beard is supposed to be!

Not this.

This is my beard, if you even want to call it a beard.

This footage was taken after I let it grow for two weeks.

Two weeks!

It's thin, patchy,

and in some spots there's no hair at all.

Sad.

But let's look at this one again.

This is Kevin.

We're around the same age,

both Caucasian males of Irish descent.

You could say we have a lot in common,

except in the facial hair department.

So, I asked a dermatologist

about why he's able to grow a beard and I'm not.

Dr. Chwalek: It's based on genetics as well as hormones.

Some men, you know, have more hair follicles,

so they can grow denser, coarser beards than others.

Testosterone gets converted in the hair follicle

to a more potent form called dihydrotestosterone.

Some hair follicles have receptors

on them that are very sensitive

to this higher form of testosterone, dihydrotestosterone,

and that will stimulate hair growth.

Graham: How would you characterize my facial hair?

Dr. Chwalek: I'd say it's like, sparse,

and you have light-colored hair,

so it doesn't show up quite as much.

Graham: I can't really grow a great beard.

It's been a problem.

I want one. I wanna look like my colleague, Kevin.

I mean, look at that beard.

It is just glorious.

Why can't I grow a beard like Kevin?

Dr. Chwalek: Well, Kevin has some good hair genes,

so because of that, the hair follicles

on his face are more sensitive

to the effects of a form of testosterone

called dihydrotestosterone which can help

to stimulate thicker, coarser, longer hair growth

in some areas of the body like the beard area.

Narrator: Beards and facial hair

have long been associated with masculinity and virility.

I began to wonder if my inability

to grow thick facial hair like Kevin

makes me less of a man.

Graham: Does the fact that I can't grow a beard,

does it make mean that I have low testosterone?

Dr. Chwalek: No. Men who can't grow a beard

or have patchy beards

usually have normal testosterone levels.

It isn't a reflection of having low testosterone

or being deficient in testosterone.

Graham: So, you can still be virile -

Dr. Chwalek: Right.

Graham: And grow a crappy beard like this?

Dr. Chwalek: Yes.

Graham: Okay, good.

Narrator: And in fact, there are some ways

to increase the chances of growing facial hair,

but shaving more often isn't one of them.

Dr. Chwalek: So, the idea that shaving

can impact hair growth is actually a myth.

When you're shaving, you're just cutting the hair off

at the surface of the skin,

and what's controlling the hair growth

is really occurring deeper in the skin.

So, it shouldn't have any impact

on how quickly the hair grows, or how dense the hair grows.

People have tried topical Rogaine or Minoxidil.

These things may stimulate a little hair growth,

but assuming it's due to genetics,

then you're kind of stuck with what you have.

Graham: It's all about the sensitivity of the hair follicles

and how they interact with this -

Dr. Chwalek: Dihydrotestosterone or androgens in the blood.

Graham: So, you're saying that,

that his hair follicles are "sensitive."

Dr. Chwalek: Yes.

Graham: See, mine aren't.

Dr. Chwalek: Right.

Graham: They aren't sensitive. They're like rocks.

They have no sensitivity at all.

Okay, so I win that!

Dr. Chwalek: Right.

You'll NEVER Use A McDonald's Touch Screen Again After Hearing This - Duration: 5:02.

Traces of poo has been found on every McDonalds touchscreen thats ever been tested

Welcome to Inform Overload, Im your host Johnny Rogers and if youre new to the channel, we

tell you about the most interesting news stories we find on the internet, and we make them

more entertaining Those touchscreen stations have become insanely

popular due to their convenience and for when you want to order a lot of food, but dont

want another human being to judge you in the process.

However after learning what Im about to tell you it may make you think twice about using

a McDonalds touch screen ever again.

Research tests were done by a UK news source called The Metro and on every screen that

they tested, faecal matter was found.

Dr. Paul Matawele from the London Metropolitan University microbiology department had this

to say - We were all surprised how much gut and faecal bacteria there was on the touchscreen

machines.

These cause the kind of infections that people pick up in hospitals.

We all knew McDonalds isnt the place you go to be healthy, but who knew you could be contracting

an illness just by entering the fast food establishment.

Now joking aside this can result in some serious repercussions.

One of the bacteria in particular can cause things like Toxic Shock Syndrome and blood

poisoning.

Possible signs of having toxic shock syndrome include a sudden high fever, vomiting, a rash

thats much like a sunburn on your palms, and even seizures.

Dr. Matawele also urges just how problematic this bacteria can be because of how contagious

is can become.

He said - it starts around peoples noses, if they touch their nose with their fingers

and then transfer it to the touchscreen someone else will get it, and if they have an open

cut which it gets into, then it can be dangerous.

Great so McDonalds now serves up poo and bugger based touchscreens.

Even more troublesome is that the bacteria is becoming resistant to antibiotics.

But guess what folks, it doesnt stop there.

They also discovered traces of listeria bacteria which can cause stillbirth and miscarriages

in pregnant women.

I know what youre thinking now, first ew gross and second what did Ronald McDonald have to

say when hearing this.

Well unfortunately the red headed clown was busy smearing his poo on the screens so a

spokesman for the company said - Our self-order screens are cleaned frequently throughout

the day.

All of our restaurants also provide facilities for customers to wash their hands before eating.

Awe how cute McDonalds lives in a world where they think everyone washes their hands the

moment they walk in.

The problem isnt that people arent washing their hands before they eat, the problem is

that people are walking in off the street after touching god knows what and then using

your machines.

They would be better off putting antibacterial soap next to each station and or limiting

the orders to the McDonalds app or ordering from a cashier.

At least that way these nose picking, poo covered hand people can just get germs on

their own phone.

My advice is to just order the old fashioned way, well my advice really is to just not

eat McDonalds, but if youre going to do it at least be safe about it.

Also if youre hell bent on using the machines please please please I urge you, clean your

hands before touching your face, before touching your phone and definitely before you eat.

I want to turn a question over to you people though, does this make you not want to use

the touch screens any more or does convenience make you want to take your chances on catching

something.

Let us know in the comments below With that I want to move on to some featured

comments Diva Quintanilla says - I enjoy Johnny can

we keep him Charlotte -What am I a dog.

You can keep me, but you have to feed me, take me for walks and clean up after me when

I poo on McDonalds touch screens.

Oh yeah it was animal and human feces found on the machines by the way

Miss B says - I think we need to be nice.

So be nice! -Great message keep up the good work Miss

B Just Red says - Johnny is better then Charlotte

How To Nose Press With Magnus Granér - Duration: 1:45.

Hello Mr. SkiManGuy.

Hey, hello, welcome back to SkiManGuy, Ski Addiction tutorial.

Today we do Nose Press! Come on, come on, I'll show you

We're doing the nose press and basically you need a lot of power like you need to

lean forward a lot on the nose press and the first step is to just rail and then

go out to Nose Press.

So you go onto the rail regularly and push all your weight

forward onto the noses and hold it. You need slight extra pop

when you're trying to land on the Nose Press the ideal goal is just land

in the nose press with the right weight right away you just want to pop a little

extra hard, get all your weight forward on your noses and land somewhere where

your bindings are. So you pop, lean your body forward over the rail so you've got all the

pressure on the noses and land in the Nose Press like this coming up onto the

noses with the leaning body press on the noses, flick it. Once you're locked

into the Nose Press, you can start to do the pop - you come in and then you pop

out of the Nose Press

Okay. In, smash! Like this, dropping in SkiManGuy, slow motion.

Lean forward, land on the bindings, noses, press, keep pressing, flick boom!

Make sure to tune into the Ski Addiction Tutorials

Seeing Sphinx | Chasing Hidden Creatures, Part 4 - Duration: 6:30.

What am I doing in Africa?

I am on the hunt for very elusive hidden mythological creatures, and I've already found Bigfoot,

a fairy, a unicorn, a kraken, a hippocamp, and a mermaid!

But after those epic discoveries, I've suddenly been taken across the ocean into a hot, sticky,

bug-infested African jungle.

I guess all I can do is work my way north towards my next destination - Egypt.

Hot on the trail of a Sphinx.

Alright, I made it.

I'm in Africa.

South Africa to be exact.

And oh man, this is like a big jungle!

It's hot, it's humid and sticky, and I'm being swarmed by mosquitos--

But oh look, there's a butterfly!

Oh man, this is going to be quite a trek.

This is going to be interesting!

Okay, it's already getting to be pretty unbearable, so I'm putting on the jacket.

You can't walk 5 feet without slapping.

Oh, look at them all.

Man!

Hopefully they won't get through this jacket.

How far am I?

Picked up a travel buddy!

90 meters from the first target, on my way to Egypt.

Taking a turn to the right - I think there's going to be some bushwacking!

Over there!

Oh boy.

Really?

There's got to be some other way.

Yeah, this is a little side trail.

Nice.

50 meters.

Okay, I'm at GZ.

And finally, bingo!

That was one more find on the trail to meet the Sphinx.

But Africa was taking its toll.

Why am I even doing this?

What if these creatures want to stay hidden?

What am I trying to accomplish here?

I'm now heading to North Africa.

Is there even a trail here?

Oh yeah, there is.

In here?

I think

Ah!

Hey, hello!

Perfect.

Well I guess I can scratch Africa off my bucket list.

I wonder if there are any hidden creatures in the Sahara?

--No, I've got to get out of this place before it eats me alive.

Augh!

I got hit!

This place is incorrigible.

Alright, I have traversed Africa and am now on my way to Egypt.

I really hope to see a Sphinx.

I wonder how hidden it is?

Well, I have arrived in Egypt, and - you know, they farm in Egypt.

I haven't found the cache yet.

I don't know if there's a Sphinx around.

Well I guess we'll find out once I find the cache if the Sphinx shows up.

Alright I'm heading in to a little bush thicket.

What have we got here?

Oh hello!

And we have a cache.

Whoah, what the...?

Egypt has Fiber One bars.

Chewy bars.

Oats and chocolate.

I'm a little nervous right now.

I just found the cache I needed to discover the Sphinx.

Am I ready for this?

Does the Sphinx know I'm coming?

Perfect!

Oh boy!

Oh, you've got to see this.

Oh look at that!

Not so hidden any more are you?

Yes!

Okay, so, almost done.

It's off to find a gryphon!

What an amazing journey this has been so far!

I mean, I'm finding geocaches that are taking me to fantastical monsters and beasts,

creatures of the night and the day, from near and far,

creatures that live and hide away in secret places.

Under water, in caves, deep if forests and mountains...

Am I doing this for the right reasons?

I'm earning souvenirs for finding them, but what's happening to them once I find them?

I just sort of head off into the sunset, leaving them to their fate.

Will someone else find them?

Or, have they been freed?

What are they even hiding from?

Well, I've found 7 so far, and there are 6 to go, but such a long way to travel.

Who knows what sorts of adventures and discoveries await down the line

as I seek these hidden creatures.

Maybe they'll hold the answers to these questions.

But for now, I must rest.

A long day awaits as I turn next to the skies in search of creatures of flight - a fearsome

gryphon, and a bird born of flame and ashes - a Phoenix!
