Youtube daily report Jan 6 2019

Did you know that some of the most famous attractions

in London are not really located in London?

Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey

They're all in Westminster, which is actually a different city. Most of the Royal London is actually in Westminster

So in this video I'll walk around Westminster

to show you some of the top attractions here

Let's get started with London's most famous attraction

If you come here until 2022

This is how you find the Big Ben

You really can't see anything

Big Ben is the name of the bell inside the tower and

as the name suggests, Big Ben is big, heavy,

so the refurbishment is to upgrade the entire structure

that holds the bell. But when you come to this area, there are many other things to see

This building right here is the Palace of Westminster, which is the seat of the U.K. government

That's the meeting place of the two houses of the Parliament of the UK:

The Lower House, House of Commons, those elected by the people

And the Upper House, the House of the Lords,

those that are appointed by the Monarchy or who have hereditary titles like some Viscounts, some Earls, Lords

It's a beautiful building, just a shame that it's under a refurbishment now, too

But you can visit inside, there are guided tours

Or you can go for free if you want to see a debate

Now let me show you how close Westminster Abbey is

The church is already this one

But the best view is from here

This place represents the origins of Westminster, where everything started around here

But why is this so important?

All coronations for almost 1000 years have been taking place right here

Imagine! Kings and queens since the Middle Ages got their crowns right here

Also royal weddings and burials happen here

Not only royalty. Some important figures historically are buried here like Isaac Newton,

Charles Darwin and more recently Stephen Hawking

But why am I telling you all this instead of actually showing inside?

Because pictures are not allowed, sorry

But it is a very beautiful place, very impressive

Worth a visit

Now we're crossing St. James's Park to arrive at Buckingham Palace,

where the most famous ceremony in London takes place: the change of the guards

St. James's Park is a former hunting ground

Today, it's a really nice park

Feel like getting a suntan today?

Oh, he's so focused

Buckingham Palace...that way

Oh, my God!

Look at the amount of people

Except during summer, the change of the guard here doesn't happen everyday

So check online before coming here

Most of the ceremony happens inside the gates

So unless you're right there by the gates

You're just gonna see them coming in and then getting out. For the rest of the time you just wait

[Guard] March!

Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and the residence of Her Majesty The Queen

Actually, it's one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today

You can go for a visit, but out of the 700 rooms

Only 19 are open to the public

See the flag?

That indicates the Queen is not home

That's the U.K. flag

If she was home, there would be the Royal Standard of the United Kingdom

But this concept of the flag is relatively new

Once I was on a guided tour here and the guide explained that it all started in 1997, when Lady Di died

Because people started coming here and they expected to see a flag at half-mast and there was no flag at all

That's because the Queen was not home

There's a palace right here behind these trees and this is where Prince Charles lives

Very close to mom. That's Buckingham

St. James's Palace is one of the oldest palaces in England. It's from the 1500's

It once was the official residence of the monarchs

And to this day it is still the official address of the Queen

Not where she lives, but if you want to send her a letter,

this is her mailing address

To this date, some official events still happen here, like

receptions to foreign heads of state

One thing very interesting about this palace is that it has lots of chimneys

Look at that, how many

It's really all over! And centuries ago there were taxes on chimneys. I guess the more chimneys you had,

the more money you had, maybe?

And this palace belonged to a king, Henry VIII

Who obviously didn't need to pay taxes

Baby, just eat

Just eat. Is that what you want?

He doesn't get it!

Ah, from this side you can see the clock!

Here you can also catch the boat for a river cruise

We took a quick break. You may recognize this place, we're not in Westminster anymore

This is the Southbank

The day so beautiful today that I really wanted to come to this side and take some photographs

And I wanted to come here today also

to show you how close it is

Do you see?

Big Ben is right there, the Parliament is right there

So the day you come to visit these attractions you can take advantage and also go to the London Eye

This line for the ferris wheel is gigantic! Lots of turns here

Where are you guys from?

[Tourists] Germany

Germany! Deutschland! (Germany)

Two fish and chips, please

Fish and chips: can't get any more British than that

Quick escape from Westminster

Gordon, shall we?

[Gordon] Shall we?

Shall we?

That's my husband's name

Gordon, shall we?

Do you recognize the view from Admiralty Arch?

We're back at The Mall, which is the name of this road here. And over there, Buckingham Palace

Now here, on the other side of Admiralty Arch,

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is a central square for the entire London area

This is where people traditionally

demonstrate and celebrate

This square actually commemorates a very important battle in history for the British

When British defeated the French. When Napoleon wanted to conquer the world

So this is something very meaningful here

If you go that way, you arrive at Buckingham Palace

and if you go this way here,

you arrive at Big Ben and the Parliament

Now, the place I saved for last is probably where you find one of the best nightlives in the entire London area

This is Covent Garden

It's famous for the theatres, high-end shops. Here, you also have lots of pubs and restaurants

It's really great to come in the evening

And this is the famous Piazza in Covent Garden, it's where everything happens

Most people have no idea that all this that I show today

except for the Southbank is actually in Westminster

And London has yet another peculiarity

It's another city called City of London,

which is different from just London

And that's the topic of my next video

If you like this one, please subscribe to the channel

So that you don't miss the next

You're trying my pie before me?

[Gordon] Yeah

Is it good?

Imagine! Kings and queens

So imagine! Imagine!

[Gordon] Imagine

That's a song by Lennon

[Gordon ]Did you hear what he said? [Renata] No

[Gordon] I love you, man

No, I love you!

I love you more!

Ah, that's a good one

Hello!

[Gordon] Hello

Miami Beach!

Hello from Miami Beach

Hello, Miami Beach

Capítulo 2 - La Respiración en Buceo a través de las Neurociencias- ES English Subtitles FULL HD - Duration: 10:11.

Hello and welcome to TOP DIVE Today we are going to continue the series

of videos dedicated to the breathing regulation in diving.

In this second chapter we will see the part

that the instinctive brain and automatic brain play in this regulation.

If you haven't already done it, I advise you to watch the first chapter.

You just need to click on the link that will appear on the upper right hand part of the video.

If you already watched it we can just plunge back into the working of our brain …

The Instinctive brain is very little involved in the breathing regulation in diving

To simplify, we are just going to say that it only activates after loss of consciousness

thus, following such a problem, when the « machine » restarts our instinctive brain

takes the control of our breathing and triggers an instinctive inhalation without consulting the other brains.

Thus, in case of a dizzy spell generating the loss of consciousness of a diver or a free diver, it is essential to

rapidly put his airway out of contact with the water prior to the instinctive respiration being triggered,

otherwise the water would go directly into the lungs…

Let's climb up to find the automatic brain, its role is to enable us to adapt to our environment,

and it's going to regulate our breathing while resting…

when you are making an effort, like right now when you are watching this video, well generally,

underwater. It is this brain which controls the breathing 99.9% of the time.

Just like a software, this brain has a program and a data base.

The program and the reference values of its data base are the product of

the evolution of our species for millions of years and its adjustment to an essentially earthly lifestyle.

That way, it recovers live information from the sensitive sensors .

It compares the values with the ones of its data base and according to the results,

it executes the program by sending a contraction order

to the respiratory muscles without asking for the advice of the other centers…

this allows to adapt the ventilation in each moment without wasting useless energy by asking,

for example, our conscious brain, if this is okay.

We can call this : automatic or natural breathing.

The earthly automatic breathing comprises 2 phases :

An active phase in which the automatic brain sends an order of contraction to the ventilatory muscles.

This generates the opening of the ribcage and lets the air flow into the lungs by a simple pressure difference.

Then, a passive phase, in which the automatic brain is simply going to stop the order of contraction.

The muscles then go back to their place and the ribcage gets its initial volume back rejecting the air naturally.

Thus, we can say that the exhalation is simply a muscle relaxation between two orders of contraction.

While diving, exhalation becomes active because,

to compensate the opposition of the regulator, the simple relaxation isn't sufficient …

you're going to have to help your muscles go back to their place.

Thanks to the high adjustment capacity of our nervous system,

we integrate underwater breathing, with those 2 active phases quite easily.

This way we don't have to think about our exhalation with the regulator or the snorkel.

However, automatic ventilation doesn't mean « breathing right » because our brain

is still programmed

to inhale deeper and faster

so as to bring more oxygen in case of effort.

Let's see in more detail the way our automatic brain handles our breathing in a diving situation.

When gearing up, simply putting on the air tank activates our muscles sensors,

the main computer then gets back the information and

after comparing it with the reference values,

sends an order of contraction to the respiratory muscles and to the heart…

The bigger the gap between the values that are sent by the sensors,

and the reference values,

the stronger and more frequent the order will be…

tiredness, age and physical condition will also have an influence on this gap.

A good shape and a specific training so as to have an efficient technique

when gearing up, regardless of the circumstances

will help diminish the gap and thus the power of the cardiorespiratory activation.

Something else to keep in mind about automatic breathing,

is that it stops when we focus

too much on another task,

thus it isn't unusual to see divers stopping to breathe while gearing up.

Those two factors will trigger an augmentation of our CO2 level…

quickly overpassing our reference values and generating

an automatic acceleration of the frequency and power of the order of contraction, and also

an acceleration of our cardiac rhythm

Breathing with the regulator out of the water activates

our respiratory muscles sensors and adds up to the previous orders.

Indeed, there, our reference values are quite low and

the activation of the power of the order of contraction is strong enough.

You just need to listen to the breathing of divers out of the water to understand this.

When going into water, contact with cold water activates the temperature sensors, and the bigger

the gap between the temperature will be, the more powerful the order of contraction will get.

The change of environment also activates the proprioceptive sensors which handle the balance,

of the earthly reference values, which will trigger a program in case of a fall to catch up.

This will send orders to the legs and arms muscles to catch up

by augmenting one more the cardio-respiratory rhythm.

Thus, in the beginning of the dive, we can already have high cardio-respiratory and neurologic activities.

Let's remember that an overload of our automatic neurologic system will limit our capacity to use

the conscious brain and this increases the risk of activation of our emotional brain.

To finish with, let's see an example of automatic breathing in diving.

Bring up the volume and listen carefully…

This is how to recognize automatic breathing underwater:

short, deep, uncontrolled and noisy inhalation.

They translate the power of the order of contraction coming from the automatic brain.

This is a sign that the values of a lot of our respiratory regulation sensors exceed the reference values.

Short, uncontrolled and uneven exhalation.

Random and variable breath-holding appear especially when we focus our attention

on a task, like controlling our instruments or getting out the parachute.

And all of this happens without the diver being conscious of it,

except after video-analyzing the breathing after the dive.

To sum it all up, the long and controlled exhalation that we need to have is not part of our automatic program,

and from a physiological point of view we could also say that it will never be part of it too…

except if a new homo subaquatic species were to be born.

But for that we would need to spend more time

breathing underwater than out of it, and this for many generations.

Like I already said, the solution to have an optimal and suitable breathing in all diving situations

is to learn how to use our conscious brain and, but that part is not that simple, because

our natural tendency to breathe automatically and unconsciously

will add up to there elements, like the intervention of our emotional brain.

We will see how in the next video.

The second chapter ends here.

I hope it will have enabled you to get a better understanding of the part and the specificities

of our two brains, but also the implications it has in regulating our breathing.

In the third and final chapter, we will see the fight, that can sometimes occur

between our emotional and our conscious brains to keep control of the breathing.

If you enjoyed the video, don't hesitate to share it

with your friends on social media, and if you haven't done it already,

remember to subscribe to my channel and

activate the notifications to keep informed on the future video releases.

So this video is over now, you can go on with you life while waiting for the video.

I wish you a lot of TOP dives ans will see you soon for the next episode of TOP PLONGEE.

내가 '패션평가'를 안하는 이유? 말해줄게요 [ENG SUB] Why I don't evaluate fashion? - Duration: 2:42.

Hi guys, and My Ryunas

It's Kyung-Ah from Ryu's Penna (Fashion Youtuber traveling life)

I started the video today with a camera test. But, I hope you like this video.

What do I want to talk about today?

There's content that a lot of people are asking for.

There are a lot of people who want us to evaluate the fashion of one of them.

But I want to tell you why I don't do it, so I want to take this opportunity to tell you.

The reason why I'm not evaluating fashion is that I don't think it's a little bit of a fashion assessment.

Because,

There are many people who like my fashion.

Some people think, 'Oh, you're too thick, you're too mean, are you wearing well?'

So I think, frankly, Everyone has different tastes.

If I do that kind of fashion assessment, I'll evaluate it on a subject basis.

I don't want to say, 'This fashion is not good, this one's good.' So I don't want to say anything like fashion assessment.

Honestly, I don't think I'll do it on my channel anymore.

I don't know if I'm going to be a guest on another BJ or Creator channel, but I don't think I'll ever do that on my broadcast.

That's what values are all about!

And I want to talk about this.

There are comments on my channel that say, "I don't know why he's a fashion YouTube player." And there are comments that say, "He's too thick when he looks at his style."

But honestly, I hope those people don't watch my video.

There are a lot of people who upload fashion videos on YouTube who upload them in a normal style.

If you want to see normal shopping mall style, you can watch those channels.

It's obvious that I like unique things, but if you come and hate my channel, it's really bad.

So those people just want to watch the creators who wear the shopping mall style on their channel.

I don't really like to judge others, but I don't like to be judged.

Besides, I hate it if it's not a compliment but a rebuke!

It's my style, but I don't want to be criticized.

I don't mean to demean or demean the fashion house BJ, creators.

I think it's just not in line with my values.

Hi. Today we will show you how to make hand with photo.

Detailed list of all needed items is in the description of this video.

Mix 1 cup of salt with 1 cup of flour and 0.5 cup of water.

Pour the water gradually.

Mix until obtaining a proper plastic consistency.

Roll the dough. It should be about 0.5cm thick.

Copy a hand...

...and cut the copy.

Cut a hole in the middle.

We also made a flower.

Smooth the edges by using wet paintbrush.

Dry the dough for a couple of days on a radiator...

...or in the oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours set to 90 degrees Celsius.

After that, paint every side of the hand.

Cut a proper shape from the photo.

Glue the photo to the back of hand.

I glued the second photo to the flower.

Finally, decorate the hand by using paint.

And it's done.

This hand will be a lovely gift for grandmother and grandfather.

Of course you can make other shapes in the same way.

Please give a like to this video and subscribe to my channel.

Thanks for watching. Bye bye.

And that's what I'm gonna try to do this year

And this year I'm gonna have a big topic

Okay, so if you do not understand my accent in this video, it's fine. You can click on these English subtitles

I might have translated this video

So you understand it better because my accent is kind of rubbish

Sometimes even I don't understand what I'm trying to say and

it's pretty interesting to say the least and

Yeah, but this year this I decided to do a big topic

because I'm gonna make a

Few more videos about this, at least five more. That's my plan, at least 5 more videos about

This topic and that is artificial intelligence. In this video

We're just gonna pretty much look at what exactly is artificial intelligence

So let's get right into it so

What is AI?

Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that is designed to perform narrow task

What narrow task means, it means that it is designed to do one exact task.

It could be anything. I'll give you examples a little bit later

It has become an essential part of the technology industry

Research associated with artificial intelligence is highly technical and specialized

Andreas Markus Kaplan has defined A.I. as a systems ability to correctly interpret

External data to learn from such data and to use those learnings to achieve

specific goals and tasks through flexible adaptation.

So let me give you some examples of the A.I. we use today

Because we use A.I. in our lives as well

if you didn't know, that it's called artificial intelligence and let me just give you some examples

where A.I. is used in our daily lives in

smart home devices

They use AI to learn on behavior so that they can adjust the settings for our better experience

also

navigation and travel

That's like when we use

Google or Apple maps for navigating or calling an uber or even booking a flight ticket

we are using A.I.

For navigation it would be the data points that are being received to give you a real-time traffic data. Also for video games

AI is used a lot, for example, generating random levels for people to play or the characters that are in the game and sometimes

Even their decisions are made by A.I.

Also for music and media streaming services, such as Spotify

Netflix and YouTube. A.I. is what makes the decisions to what content to suggest to a certain user to match their interests.

For Spotify it would be the playlists it suggests

The daily mixes it makes for you

It is made by A.I. Netflix, the films they suggest, they recommend for you.

Those decisions made by artificial intelligence or A.I.

On YouTube recommended videos. Okay based on what you watch them is still generated by , guess what, - artificial intelligence.

But at last I'll mention smart cars and drones. By the way

Tesla cars are a prime example of how AI is impacting our daily life.

Did you know that all the Tesla cars are connected and that the things that your car learns is shared across all the Tesla cars?

That means if you had to take

an anticipated hard left on the crossroad all the Tesla cars will know how to maneuver that turn after they're updated and

Amazon and Walmart are already investigating into drones because they are planning to implement a drone delivery program.

But that's not it

These were examples of the narrow AI or weak AI

What is happening in the world right now

What those researchers are trying to make

Those narrow A.I.'s that we know there's

Specificated for one specific task, each one. Now imagine an A.I.

With a lot a lot more tasks more than one with a lot more tasks like every task that is

imaginable imagine this A.I.

human like A.I.

But even better. The general AI so that's exactly what researchers are trying to make and it is called general A.I.

A.G.I. or strong A.I.

So if narrow A.I. are able to beat human mind in only

Specific task, the strong AI would outperform humans at nearly every cognitive task.

Do you know what does this mean? This means

that in this universe when strong A.I.'s are made, they will be smarter than humans.

This is a topic for another video but who run this world, who are the main species, who run this world,

who live in this world, who control this world over animals?

Humans, it is us, that are smartest species on earth,

because our brain are developed better than animals brain because imagine

so

Animal Minds we we can trap animals

We can trap animals for zoo's for example, we know how to trap animals because we are smarter than them. We know that

Fish will take a bait, but imagine there is something

Like a strong A.I. that is smarter than a human

That be the end of us.

Encouraging news in the quest for a cure - Duration: 4:48.

I belong to a private Facebook group for people with mild cognitive impairment, and here's

something that somebody posted the other day, that people really responded to.

It got way more likes than usual, and personally I find that encouraging.

What I've noticed in the past year or so, is a welcome change in the storyline around

research.

It seems like we're hearing a lot less of that drumbeat of constant negativity and pessimism

and failure that's been around for the past decade or so.

That's quieting down.

What we're starting to see is more welcome news like this.

Scientists are making progress and they're zeroing in on potential treatments.

And what people with MCI can take from this is encouragement and dare I say it -- hope.

Hi, I'm Tony Dearing of GoCogno.com, the website for people with mild cognitive impairment.

I get a chance to talk a lot with people that are doing research in cognitive impairment

and prevention and treatment of dementia, and these days they're being really careful

with the words they choose.

They are excited.

They really are.

But they really want to be careful about how they express that out of respect for the people

who are counting on them to deliver breakthroughs.

Because yes, they feel treatments are coming soon, but they're also keenly aware that soon

cannot be soon enough.

We need treatment now.

And they are urgently working toward those.

They're encouraged by the progress they're making, and if they're encouraged, you're

allowed to be encouraged, too.

I hope you are.

Like, take this news that got posted the day.

If you're encouraged by this, you're not encouraged enough.

The thing is, there's better news than this out there right now.

You're not necessarily hearing about it, but there are promising treatments out there that

are much further ahead than this and much closer to becoming reality.

Now, hope is a tricky thing.

People with mild cognitive impairment face hard truths, and it would be a disservice

to give them false hope.

But as Dale Carnegie once said: "The most important things in the world have been accomplished

by people who kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope."

In this case, and there is hope.

As I said in that Facebook group the other day, treatments are coming.

Not tomorrow.

Probably not in 2019.

But realistically, sometime in the next three to five years, we can expect to start seeing

breakthroughs.

The research community is working feverishly to make that happen.

And as as for you, what can you do?

Well, if you have the opportunity to take part in a clinical trial and you're willing

to, go for it.

If you're in a position to donate to research, that can help.

Or join a fund-raiser walk if you can, or write a letter to your congressman or congresswoman

urging them to fund this research.

And of course, the other thing you want do is embrace health behaviors that can potentially

help slow or perhaps even halt cognitive decline.

As researchers race toward a cure, you want to do everything you can to protect your cognition

and meet them at the finish line.

That's the hope, anyway.

And it's a hope worth holding onto.

In the notes accompanying this video, I'm including a link that you can use to find

more information about clinical trials, and then another link that shows you how you can

find and contact your representative in Congress to advocate for greater funding for research.

I'll see you next week.

Until then, as always, be kind to your mind.

Hello everyone I am Anja van Aswegen. This is me when I was a baby...

This is me on my first day of school... and this is me now. I was born in a country

called South Africa and so was the rest of my family. This is my mum and dad.

My mum's name is Christa and my dad's name is Daniel. My mom grew up on a farm in

South Africa and my dad grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. I also have two

wonderful sisters: I have an older sister Susanna and a younger sister Christina.

My older sister Susanna is a filmmaker

and my little sister Christina in high school.

My family has two pet dogs

Patty and Lola.

This is Patty...

and this is Lola.

We also have an adorable cat named Kitty.

When I was six years old my family decided to move to Australia.

That's where I live now - I live on the Gold Coast.

This is the house that we've been living in for 13 years.

The Gold Coast is a city that is known for its beaches and sunny days.

Here everyone loves to go to the beach and play outside on a hot day .

You could also find beautiful and unique animals that are only found in Australia.

I'm studying at Griffith University and am planning to become a primary school teacher.

I love animals and the environment and I love to spend all my time with them

I even love animals so much I became Vegan!

This means that I only eat plants.

Because of this I found a new love for cooking creative and healthy meals

I have also always been a music lover.

I like to sing and play guitar. When I was at school I was in a band.

I also did other performances like join the school musical.

- so I'm always happy to have some fun and dance around with you.

I'm so excited to come teach at your school and I can't wait to meet you all.

See you soon!

City of Westminster - LONDON walking tour - Duration: 13:32.

Did you know that some of the most famous attractions

in London are not really located in London?

Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey

They're all in Westminster, which is actually a different city. Most of the Royal London is actually in Westminster

So in this video I'll walk around Westminster

to show you some of the top attractions here

Let's get started with London's most famous attraction

If you come here until 2022

This is how you find the Big Ben

You really can't see anything

Big Ben is the name of the bell inside the tower and

as the name suggests, Big Ben is big, heavy,

so the refurbishment is to upgrade the entire structure

that holds the bell. But when you come to this area, there are many other things to see

This building right here is the Palace of Westminster, which is the seat of the U.K. government

That's the meeting place of the two houses of the Parliament of the UK:

The Lower House, House of Commons, those elected by the people

And the Upper House, the House of the Lords,

those that are appointed by the Monarchy or who have hereditary titles like some Viscounts, some Earls, Lords

It's a beautiful building, just a shame that it's under a refurbishment now, too

But you can visit inside, there are guided tours

Or you can go for free if you want to see a debate

Now let me show you how close Westminster Abbey is

The church is already this one

But the best view is from here

This place represents the origins of Westminster, where everything started around here

But why is this so important?

All coronations for almost 1000 years have been taking place right here

Imagine! Kings and queens since the Middle Ages got their crowns right here

Also royal weddings and burials happen here

Not only royalty. Some important figures historically are buried here like Isaac Newton,

Charles Darwin and more recently Stephen Hawking

But why am I telling you all this instead of actually showing inside?

Because pictures are not allowed, sorry

But it is a very beautiful place, very impressive

Worth a visit

Now we're crossing St. James's Park to arrive at Buckingham Palace,

where the most famous ceremony in London takes place: the change of the guards

St. James's Park is a former hunting ground

Today, it's a really nice park

Feel like getting a suntan today?

Oh, he's so focused

Buckingham Palace...that way

Oh, my God!

Look at the amount of people

Except during summer, the change of the guard here doesn't happen everyday

So check online before coming here

Most of the ceremony happens inside the gates

So unless you're right there by the gates

You're just gonna see them coming in and then getting out. For the rest of the time you just wait

[Guard] March!

Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and the residence of Her Majesty The Queen

Actually, it's one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today

You can go for a visit, but out of the 700 rooms

Only 19 are open to the public

See the flag?

That indicates the Queen is not home

That's the U.K. flag

If she was home, there would be the Royal Standard of the United Kingdom

But this concept of the flag is relatively new

Once I was on a guided tour here and the guide explained that it all started in 1997, when Lady Di died

Because people started coming here and they expected to see a flag at half-mast and there was no flag at all

That's because the Queen was not home

There's a palace right here behind these trees and this is where Prince Charles lives

Very close to mom. That's Buckingham

St. James's Palace is one of the oldest palaces in England. It's from the 1500's

It once was the official residence of the monarchs

And to this day it is still the official address of the Queen

Not where she lives, but if you want to send her a letter,

this is her mailing address

To this date, some official events still happen here, like

receptions to foreign heads of state

One thing very interesting about this palace is that it has lots of chimneys

Look at that, how many

It's really all over! And centuries ago there were taxes on chimneys. I guess the more chimneys you had,

the more money you had, maybe?

And this palace belonged to a king, Henry VIII

Who obviously didn't need to pay taxes

Baby, just eat

Just eat. Is that what you want?

He doesn't get it!

Ah, from this side you can see the clock!

Here you can also catch the boat for a river cruise

We took a quick break. You may recognize this place, we're not in Westminster anymore

This is the Southbank

The day so beautiful today that I really wanted to come to this side and take some photographs

And I wanted to come here today also

to show you how close it is

Do you see?

Big Ben is right there, the Parliament is right there

So the day you come to visit these attractions you can take advantage and also go to the London Eye

This line for the ferris wheel is gigantic! Lots of turns here

Where are you guys from?

[Tourists] Germany

Germany! Deutschland! (Germany)

Two fish and chips, please

Fish and chips: can't get any more British than that

Quick escape from Westminster

Gordon, shall we?

[Gordon] Shall we?

Shall we?

That's my husband's name

Gordon, shall we?

Do you recognize the view from Admiralty Arch?

We're back at The Mall, which is the name of this road here. And over there, Buckingham Palace

Now here, on the other side of Admiralty Arch,

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is a central square for the entire London area

This is where people traditionally

demonstrate and celebrate

This square actually commemorates a very important battle in history for the British

When British defeated the French. When Napoleon wanted to conquer the world

So this is something very meaningful here

If you go that way, you arrive at Buckingham Palace

and if you go this way here,

you arrive at Big Ben and the Parliament

Now, the place I saved for last is probably where you find one of the best nightlives in the entire London area

This is Covent Garden

It's famous for the theatres, high-end shops. Here, you also have lots of pubs and restaurants

It's really great to come in the evening

And this is the famous Piazza in Covent Garden, it's where everything happens

Most people have no idea that all this that I show today

except for the Southbank is actually in Westminster

And London has yet another peculiarity

It's another city called City of London,

which is different from just London

And that's the topic of my next video

If you like this one, please subscribe to the channel

So that you don't miss the next

You're trying my pie before me?

[Gordon] Yeah

Is it good?

Imagine! Kings and queens

So imagine! Imagine!

[Gordon] Imagine

That's a song by Lennon

[Gordon ]Did you hear what he said? [Renata] No

[Gordon] I love you, man

No, I love you!

I love you more!

Ah, that's a good one

Hello!

[Gordon] Hello

Miami Beach!

Hello from Miami Beach

Hello, Miami Beach
