Youtube daily report Apr 16 2018

hey folks welcome to Ask Liebs, I'm Lieberman and today we have an email

from a Lieberfriend. a big thank you to everybody who's commented, who sent me

emails, who's reached out and said hey thank you for bringing the show back. now

we do have seven episodes left of Ask Liebs Mondays and Thursdays at noon

pacific standard time. let's jump right into that email. it's short but sweet but

there's a lot of meat on this bone. can I say bone? I can say bone. Dear Matt how do you

achieve your dream slash passion and make time for it because it's hard to

balance out life? well Lieberfriend you are absolutely right. it is very very

difficult to balance out life. now without any kind of additional context

about what your dream or passion is, it's a little difficult for me to give you

specialized advice but I do think that I have a lot to say about balance and

about achievement. different roads, different avenues, different passions

require different levels of commitment. if your dream is particularly hard to

pull off you're going to have to give that much more of your life to it to

achieve it. if you aren't able to support that,

then it may be something that isn't quite achievable and you have to revisit

often to see where is my level of commitment at? how much can I offer to

myself? if your dream is to achieve something that requires a large high

level of commitment like becoming a lawyer becoming a doctor becoming a

professor becoming an actor or a director or some sort of specialized

skill, you're going to need to offer a lot of commitment to that dream. it's the

reason why it's a cliche that when someone goes to law school or medical

school. it's just completely swallows up their life, because that's

what's needed to pull it off. you need to pull off hours and hours of research and

training to get a degree. same thing to become an actor or a director or

comedian. any skill requires a great deal of time dedicated to it to grow and

become halfway decent at. like even me, right? even before my earliest videos,

even if you go back before I was doing podcasts, I was doing

stand up, and terribly I might add, at age eighteen. I was doing stand-up and

sucking at it for years but that training of getting up in front of

people and trying to entertain them and coming up with material and when you

don't have material just talking to people in the audience, those hours and

hours of work eventually paid off and now I can sit down in front of a camera

and I know to have a certain level of energy. I know to have a certain level of

presentation. I know to enunciate when I speak. I know what's entertaining and

what's not. all of that came from the level of commitment I was able to put

into my dream back when I was younger. now that I'm a bit older, it's a little

different right? like I'm trying to achieve my dreams professionally so I do

need to contribute a great deal of time to it. as much time as someone would

contribute to their full-time job, that's the amount of time that I'm spending on

getting more clients for my consulting business, on training in voiceover so that

when my auditions come in I'm able to do a great job. when those auditions come in

kicking ass at those. and then the rest of my time

is honestly spent taking care of my family and my home and my animals. I

feel that since I left SourceFed I have been able to achieve a level of balance

that I wasn't able to when I had a full-time job. I'm lucky enough that

myself and my partner are able to make enough money doing the things that we

love to do to support our family. like we are in a unique position and it's

because we put a high level of commitment into achieving our goals,

becoming very good at our skills. the first thing you got to take care of is

make sure you have enough money to pay the bills to clothe yourself, feed

yourself, have a roof over your head. that's just pragmatism. then beyond that,

how much time are you able to give over to the thing you want to do? to learn? to

train, to try, to practice, to create. that's your big question. if it

matters enough to you you will be willing to shift the balance in the

direction of your dream and away from having a work-life balance. it's easier I

think when you're younger to be able to do that just because you have more

energy and you have less responsibilities. the older I get, the

more responsibilities I have, the more animals I have, the more

responsibilities I have so it's a little harder. and then also I want to be able

to enjoy my life now that I have a partner. back when I was single

it was a lot easier to just spend hours and hours editing videos cuz I had

nothing better to do. yeah I could go out with friends or you know I could go to

karaoke or I could go see movies or I could stream stuff on Netflix but I

wanted something more than I wanted those things. now having said that you

speak of achieving a passion or a dream. achievement and participation are two

different things. if you want to achieve, if you want to be able to make a living

off of that dream, or you want to become a notable figure in that world, or you

want to simply become a a masterful artisan at whatever that dream or

passion is, that's different from I just want to be able to do the thing. like I

don't need to be the world's greatest comedian I just want to do comedy. I

don't need to be the world's most respected actor, I just want to have the

opportunity to act. I don't want to become a licensed surgeon but I do want to

learn everything that I can about the practice because I'm fascinated with it.

these are two things two very different things and to participate versus to

achieve requires a very different level. now if you just love a thing or love a

world, love a field, love a skill, you can participate in it and still have a very

full balanced life. to achieve it requires more commitment. your life

shouldn't just be about the work or about achievement, you should be able to

make room in your life to make memories and to have fun. to celebrate things. I

think that you have to make your job your dream or your passion your priority

until you get some momentum, but like I have you need to find that time

to like ease off the gas and put the brake on so that you can have more going

on in your life than just the thing. just because my background is in comedy its

easiest to go to comedy...when people do a lot of improv and all they do is

improv, their scenes just become about nothing because they have no life

experience. they're not going out and doing things and experiencing the world

and meeting people, which is what informs their art! you shouldn't just be doing

the thing, but it should be your priority until you feel like you're in a position

to let some of it go. where you're ahead maybe you've got that the green. if

you've got that job and you've got that second job or that promotion you don't

have to work quite as hard. so in conclusion only you can decide

what is the right balance for you and and how much life you need to balance

out that work and only you can figure out whether or not you are able to

handle the commitment that your dream your passion requires for it to be an

achievement, versus something you participate in, because if you cannot

offer that level of commitment it's never going to be your job. it's going to

be at most a hobby. now I don't think that hobby is a dirty word or a bad word.

people who have very full lives have really cool hobbies. but it's not going

to be the key factor in your lifestyle because you're not able to contribute

enough energy and commitment and time into it for it to grow into that thing.

and I would also argue that it's an easier and and sometimes more

better like for your dreams to be hobbies instead of achievements.

participation instead of work. it's a really hard, extreme life to commit all

of your time to a thing. to master it and become great. people just want to enjoy

their life and that's cool. I think if you're writing this email it's because

you want something a little harder than that and hey I applaud you for it but

you have to decide what you're willing to put up with and no one else can make

that decision for you. I hope that helps. so folks that's it for today I hope that

you got a lot out of this video. let me know down in the comments below what you

thought or if you have any other thoughts or advice for this Lieberfriend.

Former State Lawmaker Drops Bombshell On Liberal California. It's Not The Future - Duration: 5:02.

Former State Lawmaker Drops Bombshell On Liberal California.

It's Not The Future.

State legislator Chuck DeVore dropped a bombshell on super-liberal California.

Calling out the state's corrupt and dishonest leadership, he made a stunning declaration

about the Golden State.

It has liberals foaming at the mouth.

Of all the liberal-controlled states in the Union, none are worse than California.

Illinois and New York give it a run for its money, but only California represents the

very worst in liberal leadership.

Their toxic politics have taken the once proud state and reduced it to a laughing stock.

California's governor, Jerry Brown, and his Democratic-controlled legislator have

declared war on the federal government.

Their decisions are based solely on opposing the President of the United States.

They welcome illegal aliens into their state, while they neglect their own citizens.

Billions of dollars are wasted on needless spending.

At the same time, their cities are flooded with homeless and their infrastructure crumbles.

What does Jerry Brown want to do next?

Spend billions on a high-speed rail, just to make the labor unions happy.

How about fixing all the damage from the recent wildfires and mudslides, Jerry?

That seems like a bigger priority.

Plus, you have droughts on the way.

Maybe you should have built those extra reservoirs when Republicans told you to.

Despite the massive failure of California Democrats, liberal elitists still claim the

rest of the country should follow in their footsteps.

They want the rest of America taking the same, terrible steps that led to California's

rapid demise.

Chuck DeVore, a former California legislator, lived in the state all of his adult life.

He watched it fall apart under liberal leadership.

He had no choice but to leave.

In writing for Fox News, he declared this one thing about CA: it's not the future,

not by a long shot.

California isn't the future, rather, it's what America's 2016 election of Donald Trump

saved the nation from becoming.

It's not a harbinger of things to come, but it will soon be an example of the fate

we narrowly avoided.

[Source: Fox News]

DeVore discusses how the once great state crumbled under its own corruption, and poor

leadership.

Starting with "Republican" Arnold Schwarzenegger's very liberal governorship, the state took

a terrible turn.

To summarize: Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected in 2003 as a populist, governed as a conservative

for a year and then veered to the left to preserve his political hide, massively boosting

spending and signing the Global Warming Solutions Act.

Democrats then started winning elections.

Conveniently left out of their narrative was Schwarzenegger's championing of the largest

state tax increase in U.S. history, and a terrible national electoral climate in the

2006 midterms, due, in part, to war weariness, and the 2008 election blowout coinciding with

the onset of the Great Recession.

[Source: Fox News]

We all know what happens when liberals get into power.

They promise the world to voters during elections.

But once in office, they do little to help out the working and middle classes.

In fact, most of their policies hurt everyone.

California's high taxes drove out wealthy business owners.

That led to a drastic drop in jobs and opportunity.

Poverty has soared in the Golden State.

Couple that with a toxic housing market, you have a state where honest people can't afford

to live.

There are 39 percent more people living in poverty in California than in Texas, another

high-population (but conservative) state.

Housing is 55 percent more expensive in California over Texas.

And that's just for starters.

Things were looking so much better in Texas, that after living all this life in California,

DeVore had no choice but to leave.

In 2011, after spending my adult life in California, working in the once-thriving aerospace industry

there, serving 19 years in the state's National Guard and six years in the legislature, I

picked up my family and moved to Texas.

[Source: Fox News]

He's not the only one.

Around 100,000 people a year are leaving California.

They have become so sick of conditions, they've decided to go to states with lower taxes,

more opportunity, and less government overreach.

DeVore's not wrong about California landing in the garbage pail of our history.

With so many people leaving the state, it is on track to lose Congressional seats in

coming years.

The toxic liberal leadership is quickly killing the state.

It is resulting in California losing greater influence over our government and country.

What do you think about this?

Teaching with Technology: Kate Hartman - Duration: 6:34.

My name is Kate Hartman, I'm an Associate Professor at OCAD, and also the director of

the Social Body Lab.

So, Historically my creative practice within the last 10 years has dealt a lot with wearables,

body centred technologies.

Recently since my sabbatical I've been working to integrate rapid prototyping and digital

fabrication into my practice as well, moving beyond just working with textiles and electronics.

So, when I was away on my sabbatical, I was able to do a four month residency at Autodesk's

Pier 9 facility and I'm back here for the summer for 4 more weeks to complete a project.

Previously in my residency, one of the things I learned how to do was CAM, so how to learn

how to toolpath on existing models so that they can be milled with a particular machine.

So the last time I was here, I was able to do different bunch of tests, so I was working

with something called the Haas Vertical Mill, so it's a 3-axis mill, so it can go in 3 different

directions, and it's pretty amazing, because it operates really really fast... it's a big

professional machine, and I was using it to mill aluminum.

And so my workflow, was that I was, working mostly with body parts, 3D scanning body parts,

looking at the files, manipulating them, uh ah, cropping them in such a way so that they

would work with the stock of material I had, and then doing tool pathing for them, and

then bringing them into the machine, and then seeing how the machine interpreted those files,

and then coming out with whole aluminum body parts, or body part surfaces.

It was pretty exciting.

So, this all took a lot of learning, and it was hard for me, because I'm new to 3D, I've

never done it before.

And so, the reason I came back was I got through a lot of different experiments the last time

I was here, which was really exciting, but I couldn't get to the point where I could

make more polished work.

What I'm hoping for in the next couple of weeks, is to revisit that project I was working

on, and come out with some work that is a little more refined, more exhibition ready.

This was the last project I was working on, and so you can see it's overlayed on the persons

hand that was scanned initially, and so, the hand went through all these different digital

processes, and the physical process, and this bar here is the result.

Ah, and it's done on a 1-to-1 scale.

So, as if it were the hand itself.

And so yeah, this Instructable details my whole process, going through the 3D scanning,

ah, all the 3D work that needs to go into it, and figuring out through the simulation

how the toolpathing... this image is the one time I broke the mill.

Ahh (laughs), which is a good learning experience, you know something you shouldn't do repeatedly,

but ah, I ended up not looking quite close enough at the simulation and the tool took

a little bit too deep a plunge, and snapped.

Ah, so that was a good time to learn.

Yeah, and then just getting it into the mill... machining it is pretty exciting.

I have some nice video footage of this as well that I can pass on to you if you want.

And then some other projects I did there, this was one when I was first learning Fusion

360, and so it's called the Pink Linker.

And so these were these kind of... generated objects that were 3D printed that were meant

to link the pinky fingers of different people together.

And so, I did it by measuring the pinky size, the ring size of different people in my cohort

of residents here at Pier 9, based off of that number and survey results of how well

they knew each other, I used the user parameters in Fusion 360 to generate these spacer devices,

and how close or far they should be positioned from each other in terms of their comfort

and proximity.

And so both people's feelings about their relationships are taken into consideration

in the design of the object.

And so it's cool, cuz when you plug in the user parameters, you can just change them

very easily, and based off of my survey results I could just update it and print a new object.

And these were printed on a Fortus 3D Printer, so very big professional one.

Ah, FDM so fairly still accessible material wise.

This was an early project I did, where I was making super cheap wearables, and you know

I spent a lot of time in the Social Body lab making wearables that are very highly designed,

expensive parts, and I was like "I want to make wearables for everybody".

So I thought, what's the simplest most basic material I can use.

And well, cardboard is great, because it's cheap and also recyclable, if you want to

get rid of them at the end, and so I deal a lot with the experience of embodiment, and

what it means to put technology on our body.

And sometimes I do that through electronics, but sometimes I deal with the physicality

of adding on to our body form.

So I made this design for a laser cut porcupine wearable.

And I ended up making a set of materials for thirty of them.

And while I was here at Pier 9, had a porcupine workshop slash cocktail party, which was a

30 minute workshop followed by a 1 hour cocktail hour, and a bunch of the various people here,

showed up... some of my fellow artists, some of the shop staff, some of the Autodesk employees,

and they came and put together these porcupine outfits, and then wore them for an hour while

they drink some lovely cocktails.

In my work one of the things I'm really interested in is ubiquity: even if it's just local ubiquities,

so, when something goes from being weird to normal.

If everybody is wearing something, it normalizes quite quickly.

So I've done this with thirty people, and I did this last month in New York with fifty

people, and at the end of this month, I'm going to do this in Detroit with one hundred

people, so that will be an adventure.

I Look at Vegetarianism - Duration: 7:47.

should I cook vegetarian hi this is true well I picked up this vegetarian diet a

couple of examples of them right here and my doctor's office and I wanted to

go over some of these items on these menus as to pro to prototype menus here

you can pick from out of many and just talk about a few of these a few these

things overall it sounds like it's kind of hard to find some of these items and

kind of expensive to to buy them and more time-consuming to prepare them and

a lot of them are just things that really don't stick to your bones like me

I'm a small person to start with I'm underweight which is the exact problem

of most of the people on the developed countries I would just starve to death I

think if I had to live on this and I'm a carnivore I love dead burned animal

flesh and that's what it is occasionally a steak or a slab of barbecue ribs with

a little bit of sauce on it maybe like once a month and I usually divide it

with some body in fact I always divide it with somebody but here's a few items

on here I'm just going to give her them kind of quickly and see if they're

things that you know I can work with for breakfast

oatmeal pancakes with applesauce topping well I thought pancakes is basically

made of bread so you can put all that syrup on the top of it

calcium fortified orange juice I've had that before I have to get extra calcium

because my bones are are so bad but I know that that kind of orange juice with

calcium in it it tastes like dishwater another

breakfast suggestion is oatmeal with cinnamon and raisins

I don't like oatmeal very much I don't know many people that do I guess if you

put enough cinnamon and raisins on it might be okay

fortified soy milk no kiss best to come from a cow I guess it's come from a

soybean and it's fortified fortified with what

toast with almond butter on it I tried one sip of almond milk I didn't like it

at all and now I'm supposed to put it up put butter on toast this is almond

butter no it needs real butter on it or maybe that kind of healthier kind of

margarine or whatever they call it I buy that but I've heard even that's bad for

you so really everything is bad for you and finally for breakfast a half a

grapefruit I take though the least amount of

cholesterol medicine that you can take and it says clearly clearly on the

bottle do not take it with grapefruit juice or with any form of grapefruit so

I would I guess I could have a real bad outcome so that sounds like a

non-starter for me or people that take that take cholesterol medicine some

lunch suggestions bean burrito black beans tortilla talked with lettuce and

all that is good spinach salad with tahini lemon dressing

is tahini a misprint is it's best to beat Tahiti where do you buy it

spinach salad I don't know also for lunch Peter with houmous I don't know

what houmous is I thought it was something that grew on the on the bark

of a tree don't know much about that where do you buy it what does it cost

take tomatoes lettuce got that mostly watery type stuff I'm not gonna gain any

weight on that and carrot sticks for lunch nothing like some good ol

nutritious healthy carrot sticks so we don't pick me up ur a real go-getter

that's not gonna put any meat on my bones I keep what I do have and then for

dinner dinner suggestions Chinese stir-fry with brown rice that's doable

tofu chunks I don't know what tofu is uh I thought that stuff that hipsters and

you know professionals the wealthy people had at cocktail parties and then

it's in chunks broccoli just broccoli there again I guess if you took some

butter or some some cheese and melted it over the broccoli that would be pretty

good pea pods what about the peas where do you get the pods water chestnuts I

have no idea Chinese cabbage or what could be bought

bok choy I suppose cantaloupe chunks there again is that chunk thing these

diets seem to be really big on chunks oh

but you get to drizzle it with fresh lime juice a lot of calories on that

right unless people don't need the calories I understand that but I do I'm

more Dennis suggestions baked beans that's good baked sweet potato that's

fine but a bunch of cinnamon on it and some butter oh yeah we can deal with

that steamed collard greens it's just not the

same as good old fried squash or fried okra baked apple that sounds like that

sounds kind of time-consuming where do they bake apples do people bake this at

home how much work is that can you just buy it at the grocery and then for

snacks one is dried figs dried figs there's no desserts on here that just

calls snacks now boy honey there's a really great dried figs can I have

another helping another snack bananas soy milk shake bananas soy milk shake

well I guess that's a again an air Zots kind of shake it's from soybeans right

there boy mommy can I have another bananas soy milk shake it's delicious

stuff I understand some of this is a good thing these are good things to do

all oven but I can't sustain myself like that I'm never gonna give up an

occasional barbecue sandwich maybe once every month or two with a very light

sauce on it an occasional half of a steak

Sumeet love and what about fish I tried it fish two or three times a week but

I've read in here this digit Aryan information information that even that

even fish is bad for you and all I have is salmon someone supposed to be the

healthiest so I don't know what else to do about all this

but I know that I can improve my eating somewhat I even though I'm a better than

most of the people that I know I don't deserve any awards for it and this is

good for most people you will if we lose weight we all except for me if we the

rest of you lose weight you look better feel better and it's less of a burden on

the health care system so it's worth considering anyway

don't try to incorporate some of it we'll have to see what I do I always

tell people don't don't tell me what you're going to do tell me what you did

in other words prove it so we'll check it out this is trip good day

Mystery eBay PC hides SURPRISE | Nostalgia Nerd - Duration: 12:06.

This is a Mystery PC. I say mystery for 2 reasons. The first is that I found it on eBay

and I don't know what's on it.

- don't ask me exactly why I bought it, but there was something incredibly nostalgic about

that case. It'd been sitting in my basket for months, and despite the fairly high price

tag, I needed to re-home it, and do something with that dormant hardware.

The second is because it's a mish-mash of parts. This case, that CD-ROM drive, the turbo

button. It doesn't fit. The mystery deepens when you realise that an AMD K5 100MHz lies

at the core of this beast. It's clear that this PC has a story. Like many PCs, it's evolved

with the owner. That yellowing isn't discolouration by the hands of UV radiation... it's a part

of this machine's life. Those cracks around the plastic, isn't brittle plastic yielding

to the unforgiving metal frame... it's an intertwining, an evolution of the case. That

dirt in the corner of the floppy drive and around the buttons isn't everyday filth...

it's... yeah, ok it probably is, and that broken plastic is actually a result of the

absolutely inadequate packaging used to send this thing from Hungary to the UK. Because

that's where this metal creation hails from. You can see the badge says "Ready Computers,

1054 Budapest", which is of course the nation's capital city. Why it has a cheese sticker

on the side, I have no idea. But there's no denying that this thing looks the epitome

of 90s retro. All of the 90s in one box.

Opening her up, reveals the timeless circuitry, ready to fire up once more. I mean, there's

also a loose speaker knocking about, but you can see from where it fell. For now I'll just

disconnect it. Here's the AMD K5, secured under a small heat sink and fan. Connecting

it to the outside world is an Intel PCIset chipset and a 1995 Award BIOS. The PCI and

ISA expansion slots are mostly bare, save for a faithful Trident TVGA9000i video card.

An incredibly common range of cards on base PCs, and actually the very first video card

I had myself. Housed in the top expansion bay is that mighty 52X LG CD-ROM drive, interestingly

both the CD-ROM and 270MB Conner Hard Drive underneath are setup as Primary and secondary

IDE master devices, no slaves here. Incidentally, Conner Peripherals were acquired by Seagate

in 1996. All of this splendour is powered by a JNC Power Supply, packing a beefy 200W

of pure POWER.

Ok, we'll need a monitor to find out what secrets lie within. This Dell Trinitron will

do nicely, as will this IBM keyboard. There are no PS/2 or USB ports here, just a good

old fashion DIN connector for the keyboard, and serial connections for whatever else takes

your fancy.

With everything ready, the first problem I encountered was the power switch. It's obviously

taken a hefty knock in transport, which has moved the switch away from the plastic housing.

Pressing it delivers no response and no feedback. Still I can undo this screw and then click

the switch from here.... and there we have, the sweet, sweet sounds of a 90s PC, booting.

Listen to that hard drive spin up, the sounds of the floppy drive. Obviously there's no

BIOS beep as I disconnected the speaker, but it matters not, for all is well.

64MB of RAM means the triple memory check takes a worthy amount of time, but then, we're

in. Well, actually, Windows '95 didn't seem to like the Turbo button being deactivated.

But a click and a reboot and we're good to go. Now, the turbo button was actually designed

to slow faster machines down to run older DOS games... you know, ones without decent

speed compensation, but it would be incredibly rare to find one on a Pentium era machine.

They were generally found on 386 hardware, possibly the odd 486, which tells me that

this machine has almost certainly been expanded past its years.

Actually, before we get back to it, let's have a look at the BIOS.... ohhhh yes. Look

at all these legacy options. I remember spending hours playing around in this exact BIOS, with

these settings. The options fill me with excitement and possibility just looking at them. This

was the early days of Plug & Play and you still had to set aside your options for legacy

cards. Amazing stuff.

Anyway back to Windows loading.

I don't know who set this Windows '95 colour scheme, but he's a masochist, whoever it was.

My first problem is that I think all my mice/mouses are PS/2 or USB... so I thought this might

have been game over (for the time being). But then I remembered that hideous Star Trek

mouse from a few weeks back, and we're good to go. Rather appropriate screen saver for

this device.

Obviously we're booting into a different language as well. We can change some region stuff in

the settings, but to change the OS base language, we'd have to do a re-install. Still, it matters

not, we can muddle our way around.

In terms of resolution, we're operating at good old 640x480 in 256 colours. We can up

it, but, I dunno, this resolution feels kinda homely.

So time to nose about. Immediately in the root direct a SIMSON image, turns out it's

a guy on a motorcycle. Oh christ, look, before I continue I have to change these colours,

it's like being stuck in a sh*t pie. Apparently media files are outside the scope of this

thing. Probably an unsupported format, or missing codec. Anyway, we've got all the usual

Windows programs here... Paint, Wordpad... WOLFENSTEIN 3D.... Now we're talking. Actually

it's a Spear of Destiny demo... the sequel to Wolfenstein. Completely devoid of sound

given both the PC speaker is disconnected and there is no sound card what-so-ever.

I was having troubles with the controls, and it turns out I wasn't joking when I said this

guy was a Masochist. The bloody fire key is set to "M". Who even does that? Anyway, the

game runs fine. It's Spear of Destiny. This would run fine on a 386.

At this point, it seemed better to exit to DOS, as finding things under Windows 95 can

be a pain. Of course, the main problem here is the keyboard is setup for a different country.

But a few lines in the config.sys and autoexec.bat straighten that out. We've still got the wrong

installation language, but at least the keyboard works as it should. To be honest, the only

obvious DOS program I found, simply entitled.. SEGA... tried to run at a resolution too low

for this monitor, so let's go back to Windows. I'm presuming it's probably Sea Quest. I thought

I'd try it in a window, within Windows, but '95 was having none of it, but then I noticed

this folder within the SEA directory.

O M

G

Have we just stumbled across some 90s objectivity right here? Within the suspect directory we

have a Pictures folder, then Decadens, then _ko_, and then we find the folders of truth.

I don't know if this guy was trying to hide this stuff as deep in the directory tree as

possible, but if he was, WHY CALL THE FIRST FOLDER..... THIS? Kinda gives the game away

chum.

So, these are all JPG images. This machine won't open them, and Paint can only deal in

Bitmap or PCX formats, so time to copy some files across to floppy. Just to be fair, I

thought I'd take an array of files. Some of that... oooo, yeah, some that too. Great.

and after loading them up on my PC. I CAN INDEED CONFIRM. FILTH. Oooooo, oh hello. Wow.

Yep, it's what we thought chaps. Of course it is. But I'm not going to display any here

or indeed mention it by name, because this is Youtube and THIS ISN'T THE TIME OR THE

PLACE.

I don't think we're going to top that, but it did

make me want to search deeper, for other suspect directories. All I really found was Doom,

disguised as Toca Touring Car Championship for whatever reason. Maybe Tibi was happy

to keep his explicit photo collection for all to see, but wanted to cover up he was

playing a game with demons. WHO CAN POSSIBLY TELL. Doom runs fine, even under windows,

although why it's hidden in this bizarre directory is beyond me. There didn't seem to be anything

else of value in there.

There were a few more interesting program on here. Daytona didn't work, but we've got

Windows Commander, which was always a handy file navigation utility. In the recent documents

folder there were some documents, in a language I don't understand. I presume that these are

all the work of our friend Tibi. Who could tell, or possibly know. To be honest, at this

point I was bored. We'd peaked with the hidden folder

and now it was time to shut this beauty back down.

I have plans for it. Great plans. All of which I will share with you all in due course.

In the mean time, thank you for joining me on this Mystery PC investigation. It's been

a blast.

7-Minute Review: Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, PS4 - Duration: 7:37.

Spoiler warning: I'm going to talk about some storyline elements here.

If you don't want to hear them, here's my summation: a good game, missing the soul

of the original.

You can go now.

The rest of you, let us continue...

I wanted to believe Ni No Kuni II was intentionally showing me a world through the eyes of a child;

highlighting both the hopeful nature of youth as yet untouched by cynicism, as well as the

painful naivety of approaching life with eyes so wide.

Turns out I was the one being naive.

See, Ni No Kuni II is a good game - great, at times - but it's also a painfully dumb

one, and adorable little usurped king Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum just turned into nature's

greatest irritant after not very long at all.

How can I be so negative - indeed, so cynical - about such a bright game littered with so

very much joy?

Well that's easy, I'm a curmudgeon.

Beyond that, though, there are reasons.

Well, there's a reason: there's zero subtlety to the game, at all.

This impacts on things with me personally, because I was a big fan of the first game

- I don't like to talk about the previous entry to a series so early on in any review,

but then my incredible rules can be bent every now and then and this really is a special

occasion.

That being, Studio Ghibli was involved in the original.

The story for the game was already written by the time the legendary animation studio

came on board, but - and I'm going off second-hand reports here - it was still involved in a

lot of story tweaks and rewrites, possibly including major changes to the original ending.

What I'm getting at is that Ghibli had its fingerprints all over the game, and it shone

through.

Level 5 made a superb JRPG, and Ghibli came and elevated both its presentation and story

to levels we're still not used to seeing in games as a whole, never mind just in the

specific genre.

The main way I feel Ghibli had such an impact on the first Ni No Kuni was through liberal

use of what we call 'subtlety'.

There was a knowing nod to the playing audience that what you were playing and watching was

a daft little fairytale, but it was respectful enough of said audience that some things were

left unsaid, some things were approached in a decidedly adult fashion, some core plot

concepts - a grieving child, say - were treated in a surprisingly gentle, affecting way.

And it's because of all that that my first reaction on thinking about Ni No Kuni II is

a pang of sadness.

Ghibli wasn't involved this time around, and aside from the obvious point of missing

animated cutscenes, it shows.

It's paper thin, it offers no intrigue or even real heart beyond very base level, Saturday

Morning Cartoon-level interactions.

Oh, the president of this corporate city-nation has been corrupted, but showing him five recordings

of his past when he was nicer will immediately cure him!

The party thinks of that plan almost immediately - so surely when it comes to pass, this simplistic,

childish plan won't work?

Surely there's something more to it than that?

No, of course not.

It works perfectly.

First time.

Not a hitch.

Which is why I'm so readily bringing up the original game, thus going back on all

of my own personal rules.

I'd be so much more open to a lack of complexity in the game's storytelling were it not for

the fact it's a sequel, and I think it's fair to expect on some level more of the same.

Ni No Kuni II doesn't offer that.

It offers a wafer thin fairytale with the odd obvious twist thrown in for good measure,

a complete lack of real heart comparatively speaking, and a general air of cheapness about

the whole project, what with the aforementioned animated cutscenes going bye-bye and voiceovers

that only seem to cover a quarter of the game's actual dialogue - honestly, if I hear 'blimey'

one more time I'm liable to… ahem...

And yet…

I really like Ni No Kuni II.

Like I said earlier: it's good, sometimes great.

The story, the presentation of that narrative, it being thin ice over a shallow lake - I

can ignore it all in the most part, because the meat (substitute) on the (fake) bones

is so good for the most part.

I can't think of anything specifically it does that's unique, as I can trace most

of the game's systems and microfeatures directly back to JRPG luminaries like the

Tales and Suikoden series', is that how you pronounce it.

It's just one of those cases where the derived elements are handled with such exceptional

skill, in the most part, that you don't mind you're playing a best-of hits collection

for the genre.

Your JRPG skellington is there and in good nick - a party of three, drawn from six potential

members, with your main selected peeps levelling up a bit faster than those on the sidelines

and a nice mix of weapons and special powers jumbled up between them all.

You've a world map to explore - and yes, you get an airship later on, making Ni No

Kuni II the closest to a PSone-era Final Fantasy we've had in almost 20 years - and a smattering

of diverse, interesting towns and areas of interest to bundle your way through while

thwocking creatures on the head and picking up all the shinies encountered along the way.

It's a carefully balanced system, expertly made by people who know what they're doing

and set up in that oh-so-gamey positive feedback loop that keeps you playing 'just to the

next town', then 'just to the next level', then 'just to the next dungeon'.

Then Ni No Kuni II goes beyond all that, and throws in plenty of extra systems and mini-games

to keep your interest even more than the main bit that's already keeping your interest.

You've got a city to build, and sure it's not the Settlers level of systemic interaction

going on, but it's captivating and fun in a way only management games can be.

Yes, it's shallow and really just involves waiting until you have enough money to build

a new thing or upgrade an existing one, but - and this is because it's not the main

draw - it's a great distraction.

Ditto the endless… well, almost endless journey to recruit new citizens for your city-state,

which takes the form of a hell of a lot of side quests after which you're rewarded

with someone who can do one or two things really well.

I struggle to describe it in any greater detail because it is so, frankly, basic - but it's

satisfying, and that matters.

You get into little RTS-lite battles - which make me chuckle with the whole theme of the

game being about building a united nation where conflict doesn't exist, but I've

laboured enough already on the story… anyway, these skirmishes are probably the worst of

the added extra bits, with the simplicity not translating to that much fun.

It's rock-paper-scissors, the deck's often stacked against you, and the strategy… well,

isn't.

Still though, it's not the headline attraction, you don't have to do most of it if you don't

want to, so it doesn't have a negative impact.

It's fun in short bursts, and you only have to do short bursts if you so choose.

I can't be mad at that.

Cooking and levelling up Higgledies - your little sprite helper friends - isn't as

much fun as the mini-Pokemon game we saw in the last game, but it's still a rewarding

experience.

Mainly because the stronger your chums are, the more they help in fights and the easier

the main game gets.

Again, simple, but good.

I like the vast majority of Ni No Kuni II, thinking about it.

It's colourful and optimistic, rather than grey and cynical like the inside of my head.

It brings zero new newness, but what it does is handled with enough care and attention

to make it feel fresh.

It's not a bar-raiser, it could never realistically be described as 'unique', and Drippy is

the far better Welsh fairy when compared to Lofty.

Despite all that, it's a good JRPG.

Not great, not one to go down in the annals of history, but good.

And that's enough for me.

Overall… six out of ten.

Please like, share, subscribe, love me, adore me, worship me... or ignore everything I say.

It's all good.

Quickly, as this is overrunning the rough seven-minute window: I have a Patreon, if

DAY 97 OF MYJUICE FAST/HOW MUCH DID I LOSE THIS WEEK❓❓❓MY WEIGH-IN VIDEO-JUICE FASTING-WEIGHT LOSS - Duration: 7:32.

hey guys today is day 97 of my juice fast and it's also my weigh-in video and

it's also my treat day this is probably why you haven't seen me yet with the

weigh-in because on my treat day I tend to do me I don't rush to upload my

videos I stop prepping what I'm gonna eat for the day because for the last

couple of weeks I've been adding one meal after weigh-in that I eat and then

I go back on Tuesday to my um juice fasting juice feast juice fasting

whatever you want to call it we don't want to study in debates but today is my

weigh-in but I want to let you know something before I give you the numbers

once I get off of this juice piece I will be incorporating the intimating

fats with the 4 or 5 hours to eat window in 19 to 20 hours so fast I was doing

the intermittent fast one meal a day 23 hour fast starting April 2017 until I

started my juice fast which was January 11 2018 once I saw that the juice feasts

juice fast I no longer eat solid foods and I wasn't on that 23 hour fast period

with the one hour window to eat so for me to incorporate juicing and it being a

form of fasting even though juice feasting is a way of eating your food

without basically it being a solid it's um you're still eating but it's in a

liquid form juice fasting is we just call it juice fasting that's just what

we call it but it's really juice feasting because you feast off of plenty

of fruits and vegetables to keep yourself say she ate it

satisfied so that you're not hungry which in a couple of days you're not

hungry anyways those hunger pains go away that's why it's possible for me to

be on day ninety-seven of my juice fast because I'm not hungry

um like with all weight loss it slows down but I'm a warrior and I'm not going

to stop my juice fast until I reach the total pounds that I need to lose when I

started this journey ninety seven days ago I was at eighty eight pounds

overweight last week when I got to the 90-day mark I was hoping that I was at

sixty pounds lost and I was only at fifty eight pounds I was two pounds away

from the goal of sixty pounds in 90 days this is a week later and this is

Monday's weigh-in as of today I weighed myself and I am down a hundred and

eighty eight pounds I lost two pounds this week I'm starting to notice that my

weight loss is slowing down I know that it'll pick up again just like when you

start any type of a regiment you lose tons away at the beginning and then as

time goes on your weight slows down if you stay consistent on this juice

journey like I'm doing your weight will pick up again once your body adjusted to

the quick weight loss like my body is right now as we speak

sixty pounds total fat loss in ninety seven days but if I stay consistent and

not get discouraged because for the last three weeks I was losing three pounds

three pounds three pounds and I was complaining about just losing three

pounds compared to weeks before I was losing four to five seven pounds you

know crazy amounts I may have lost like three pounds in a day and then maybe it

would stall for a couple of days and I lose

to pound and then closed away in another pound um but I'm doing great I'm at the

60 pound weight loss it took me 97 days I didn't reach it in

90 days but I got there the two pounds down to make it 60 pounds I have 28

pounds more to lose at this point it's not even a challenge it's only 28 pounds

I've already lost 60 of the 88 pounds in 97 days so this is a cakewalk for me so

I'm going to do another video because I've been hearing a lot of people who

are on weight loss journeys like myself talking about being constipated because

they're eating solid foods and not on the juice fast like myself and they

getting constipated and I want to do a separate video letting you know what is

very effective that I have been using for ninety seven days I have not missed

a day if I have something to do early mornings I will do this before I even

eat foods because you have to do this salt water flush on an empty stomach in

order for it to effectively work and flesh out your colon from the beginning

to the end and all it consists of is pink colon salts and purified water you

don't even need to buy any spring water if you have a purifier at home then the

water is free it's a it's a cost-effective way to cleanse the body

naturally and you can do it once a day to remove any fecal matter and Candida

want any foods that your body has processed broke down and has eliminated

that hasn't quite came out of your arm system yet because to be honest with you

within that day when you consume or drink any liquids if that foo from that

day is not in a 24-hour period removing itself on a daily basis you

must take action that morning is that's as left as far as you should go I

wouldn't go 48 to 72 hours with fecal matter in your intestines because the

gut is with all the diseases and all the chaos stops and all the health and

ailments that you might have at this current time so yes today as of today 97

days I lost two pounds I'm hoping for this week to lose at least another 3

pounds maybe more but like I said weight loss is is weight loss and if I lost a

pound I'd still be happy because I can see it you know when I look in the

mirror now I'm starting to see so worn again we're 97 days ago I didn't even

know what I was looking at in the mirror so with all that being said please

subscribe to the channel like and share this video and make it a favorite and

I'll see you on day 98

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Tweets Out Fake Photo To Fool The Public - Duration: 4:52.

This past weekend, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted out a photo

that, according to her tweet, happened during the Syrian missile strikes that Donald Trump

launched Friday evening.

Now, she didn't specifically say that the photo was taken during that time, but she

referenced the missile strikes on Friday evening and she said, "Here's a photo."

Well, people on Twitter were very quick to point out the fact that Mike Pence was in

that photo very near Donald Trump, and yet when the missile strikes actually happened,

Mike Pence, vice president, was actually in Peru, so there was no way that that photo

could have been taken during the missile strike as Huckabee Sanders implied with her tweet.

Here's what happened.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders was looking for a win.

She wanted this administration to be known for something great, so what she tried to

do with this tweet was recreate the photo of Obama, and Biden, and Hillary Clinton,

and everybody else sitting in the Situation Room during the bin Laden raid.

That photo really kind of captured the mood at the time.

It was widely shared.

Everybody recognizes that photo, so Huckabee Sanders thought it would be a good idea to

tweet out this photo and maybe have their own bin Laden moment possibly to make up for

Donald Trump's previous mission accomplished moment, but it backfired spectacularly.

Why?

Because this woman is incapable of telling the truth.

She is incapable of just being straightforward and honest with the American public.

She has a very real problem.

I firmly believe that there is something wrong with her, with the fact that she is incapable

of telling the truth to anyone at any given time for any given reason.

There was no reason to even put that picture out there.

She did this to herself, because she wanted her administration to look serious, look like

we were actually working.

Everybody's sitting around and all it did was one, people called her out for the lie,

because they knew Pence wasn't supposed to be there because he was in Peru, and two,

it made people wonder why in the hell the press secretary was even there to begin with.

She's not involved in policy.

She has nothing to do with military strategy, so why was she even in the room when that

photo was taken when they were allegedly discussing what to do with Syria.

The picture was apparently taken on Thursday evening.

What are we left with, right?

I mean, that's the big question now.

Is this photo actually of the administration talking about Syria missile strikes for the

next day?

If so, why is Sarah Huckabee Sanders there?

Is she more than just the press secretary in this administration?

Is she helping to call the shots?

If this was a discussion about the Syrian situation and whether or not we're going to

send millions of dollars in missiles to bomb empty buildings and kill children, why weren't

there more people in that room?

Why were there only just a few?

Nothing about what Sarah Huckabee Sanders has described about this photo makes any sense,

nor does it hold up to any kind of scrutiny.

If this was the honest discussion that they had the day before to discuss what to do,

I would hope to God that they had more intelligent people that could have been in that room,

but instead you got Huckabee Sanders, you got Mike Pence, you got Trump, and you got

a handful of other people, certainly not the brains that you would want discussing military

strategy when it comes to life or death for people in a country that's been plagued by

civil war for a decade now.

I don't think anybody wants Sarah Huckabee Sanders crafting military policy for us.

In fact, I don't think anybody in this country even wants Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeting

us pictures of this administration, but she wanted them to look good.

She wanted everybody to look like they were working, and she really needed a win for this

administration, but as is always the case, she tweeted a picture out and made things

so much worse for herself and for her boss.

Hello.

Let me put my earphones on.

I like them. Old-school style.

10 minutes of silence. That's the plan.

OK. I'm ready.

You can check if you wish.

By the way, I decided to make this video after watching one minute of the 11 minutes of silence by Good Mythical Morning.

But not only.

My video might be a "funny" version of Marina Abramović's work: "The Artist is Present".

I look at you.

Let's breath.

Some ASMR sounds.

SMILE.

That was a kiss. Or not. Just a mouth moving.

Beard scratching.

Fabric sound.

Relax relax.

I remember, in a distant past.

Very distant. Wait, I need to brush my beautiful eyebrows.

(A bit tired, but smile)

Who's the boss? Not me, don't worry.

Look at that beard.

Closer.

Are you still watching?

No, I wasn't doing something weird, what are you thinking?

Scratching the beard again. Am I bored?

No way. That's so much fun.

Is the camera alive? She looks so beautiful.

Hey, camera, look at my muscle!

Impressed, aren't you?

Don't lie to me.

I know you are fond of me, Camera.

We have been spending so much time together.

Just you and me.

What's that?

Sure enough.

This was the shoulder trigger.

They are breaking my silence attempt.

(-)

I'm doomed.

Don't feel sad.

Everything's gonna be alright.

---

It can't rain all the time.

Damn noisy.

Not yet.

Yeah, breath.

Finally!

Still some tapping.

Let's wait and smile.

Smile.

And scratch our head.

Eye.

Eyebrows.

Fine.

Stretch.

That's not a fart!

That's the sound of hungriness.

So hungry.

Bearing it for you!

Cuty Beardy.

With or without beard.

Smile.

(no idea)

Staring at you.

Stretch

Your body.

Stretch your wrists.

That is not a fart, I said! You are a bit stubborn.

Stretch.

Again and again and over again.

OK, that's enough for the subtitles.

Just because I'm tired for now.

And I need to make subs for other languages.

You may not know it but making subtitles is a hard work.

Oh, by the way,

If you make it until here

thanks a lot for watching!

Also, thanks a lot for subscribing to this channel.

I wanted to make several special videos for 100k subs,

but didn't have enough energy.

Thank

you

always.

Good night!

APRIL BOXYCHARM UNBOXING - Duration: 7:17.

hey guys Annika welcome to my channel

my camera is extra far away today

and I'm not really sure that I like it

Oh

today we're gonna be doing a boxycharm

oh my gosh I haven't done one of these

in like three months but it's just because

I always get it and then I open it

and then I'm like now I don't need a filming video

and I always regret it. So . . .

This is April boxycharm

us some really Belfast things and here's

thing is that all your ramp pores no more

vacuum cleaner or purifying mask

I use this I gotta try it

it says apply a thin layer

on your areas of concerns so Michael f-ing face

it got to be strategic about this you know

oh it's clear I thought it was good

but there are little blue beads

and I've never laid it on until it is dry

because I don't give me some time to charge my camera

because it's almost I

do some on my nose I don't really know like how much

I don't know so I'm just gonna do this

you leave this on for five to ten minutes

I'm gonna charge my camera

we're gonna be guys better than ever

so yeah

I'm back okay so a little review on that

on my face definitely feels thousand times softer

holy sh-- I really like that

we got a My Little Pony palette so excited about that

it's so cool that we got something colorpop

in this month's box

I'm scared to be honest

because I have somewhere to go

and I don't know how hard I should f-- with this

alright we're gonna do this

we're just gonna go full f-ing force

size I'm so jealous that I'm not at Coachella

but like at the same time

I don't think I would have been able to go anyway

because it started yesterday on Friday

and I have school

also it's in the middle of the f-ing desert

and I live embossed it and that's like really far away

but like I just see all these pictures

of James Charles and Emma Chamberlain

and they're all having fun and I'm like

I think first I'm gonna take this peachy shade

called Applejack

I used to f-- with my little pony so hard

oh my gosh but not to like so

what that was like fetch of his magic

and we're just gonna do this all over

as our transition shade

really really pretty peachy

and this and saying you know

there are only one two three formats in here

and they're all it kind of satin

so

I don't know you guys know how I feel about that

I don't understand why you would make something

more shimmering than that

because

what are you gonna do with it

cameras so high up oh my gosh

oof

okay I'm gonna take the shade flutterby

wasn't it fluttershy

was out her name in the OG that's an ugly name

I don't like that

whether by dark purple

I'm gonna put that honestly I don't even know

I don't even know where I'm going with this look

I'm gonna go with the outer corners

and the inner corners that's my move

oh really intense really fast

Blend that out with a clean brush

okay that's pretty I've always loved the way

that fog pop eyeshadows blend

I feel like no matter what color it is

you can always make it look good

I'm gonna take a more dopest outer corner brush

and I'm gonna take the shade sky dancer

oh my god me not on a very very outer corner

boo I cannot wear this to fricken to go out

and what do I want to do or my lid

do I wanna do that color is wicked pretty

what was that one

which one do you thank you guys

I think I want to do the orange or

maybe I'll do the orange on the lid

and then the silver like the blue silver on my inner corner

I just want to try and use as many colors as possible

it's get a flat brush

I like just woke up though

so sorry if I look so crusty

that's a shame blossom bTW

I have so many palettes that

I liked it I really need another one

I'm gonna put that in the center of the lid

oh that is so pretty

boo sister

I'm gonna make it kind of go in a triangle shape

you open one that a little bit cuz no one looks like

an actual fucking triangle oh it's so much more intense with your finger and

blend a little bit with the shade flutterby I don't wow it's fucking awful

no fucks give it I'm going to do the rest of my face just like up until what

we need so these lashes are so fucking big these are the Camilla watches by

Huta beauty I finally got them from that

kathleenlights makeup tutorial I did I didn't have the exact lashes that she is

but I wanted them so I got them next we're gonna move on oh no we're gonna do

the inner corner first because I promised you guys no and do that so

we're gonna take the shade Firefly thank God it's not snuffle corner oh my gosh

okay next in the box we have the TARDIS rogue glow liquid highlighter in the

shade stunner I think I might have this in which case I'll probably like to put

this in a giveaway BC yeah I have this but I have a mini size and I don't need

like a full-size highlighter because I already have so many highlighter so I'm

gonna put that in my upcoming giveaway and I'm gonna use my side of it teeny

tiny one and the shade stunner as well right yeah I haven't actually tried this

really normally I don't really fuck with liquid highlighters because they're such

a pain in the ass so I use a beauty blender do it I mean about it hey yeah

you know it's pretty but it's just like I don't understand liquid highlighters

like it's just so much extra work that doesn't need to be in and also very hard

to get it in this specific place that you want it but it's okay I can fuck

with it you know you know we have a brow gel by Tanja crooks on the brow go uh-oh

it's just an alarm don't feel like turning my alarms off so then they just

bug me throughout the entire day now gouge into brow gel with microfiber oh

it's very small I don't really want microfiber xylocaine just wanna make

sure that everything is stuck in place but actually this is my first time using

a brow gel with microfibers and it totally fills in your brows a lot more

than they were before which I actually do appreciate I kind of like this I feel

like I might use this maybe I'll also put another brow gel on top of it and

just be a fucking hacker yeah I'll do that I feel like I can feel and then the

very last product that we have in the April 2018 boxycharm I mean that way

more dramatic than it needs to is the a DES New York High Definition liquid

lipstick in shade doesn't say oh and the box is

taped so we're just gonna rip it oh that's hard to rip open ooh this is a

thick one Hackett genius does it even have a freaking shade I don't think it

has a shade it looks like that this bad ass lipstick tube okay I think we're

just gonna freehand this wait it feels like a gloss yes this is long wearing so

I'm really hoping it's not wood club bitch that's a lip gloss Oh what the

hell this is not a liquid lipstick I feel cheated I got really excited it's a

really pretty shade you get a lot of product fucking lip gloss I don't wear a

dark lip glosses you're just like so messy okay yeah that is everything that

I got in my April boxycharm I promise I'm gonna get like back on track with

lots of charms and start doing them monthly you know I look super fucking

wack right now um this is okay thank you guys so much for watching please comment

subscribe suck my dick and keep on Black Sea

Charming
