Youtube daily report w Apr 16 2018

These COMP Cams XE-R Stage III Camshafts are for '96 to '04 Cobras and Mach 1s or '07 to

'12 GT500s that have superchargers or nitrous.

The stage three cams are for the guys out there that are doing it big with their builds.

These cams give a large power gain with the support of a larger throttle body, mass air

injectors, and exhaust upgrades, and of course, a tune.

And COMP really does say that these require a lower gear and specific valve springs, which

will add to the overall price of these.

Install will get a three out of three wrenches on the overall scale of difficulty and I'll

have a little bit more on that later in the video.

Before we really get into these cams and talk more about them, I really have to get home

the fact that these are stage three cams.

So you get power gains and that coveted rough idle.

But these really are specifically for supercharged or nitrous builds.

A lot of technical things come into play when you're looking at cams and specs.

So if you add these without a blower or nitrous, you're gonna end up with a car that doesn't

run right and doesn't make the power that it should.

So, disclaimer out of the way, let's take a look at these things.

One of the first things to say about these cams is that they have a huge power band.

You're looking at an RPM range of 2,000 to 6,400, which means that these things make

the most power right in that RPM range.

That's great news for the types of builds that these cams are for, superchargers, and

nitrous.

And in those upper RPMs, where the cams aren't as efficient, you have your power adders making

that big power for you.

And the fact that these give you gains in the lower RPMs too means that you don't have

to rev the car to the moon and back to have the benefits of the cams.

That makes these a good option for cars that see street time, too.

So it's a pretty functional, all-around cam for those blower and nitrous cars for the

street or track time.

So, how are cams beneficial?

Like I said, it can get pretty technical.

But in the most basic sense of things, the camshaft lobes on a performance cam are shaped

differently and that actually helps the engine to be more powerful.

What it does is change the valve lift or the valve timing.

Changing lift lets more air into the valve and changing timing changes when the valves

open and close, which has an impact on the effect of compression ratio and the power

output.

What all of this means at the end of the day is that you're optimizing airflow with the

camshafts and that it's very important to get the right camshaft for your build.

If you don't, you can actually hurt performance instead of help it.

You wanna consider specs like the lift and the duration of the camshafts since that's

what's gonna tell you how your valves will be opening and closing.

COMP tells us that the specs for these cams are as follows: 116 degrees of lobe separation,

a 238 and 240 duration at 50 degrees of lift, and an intake lift of 0.0475 and exhaust lift

of 0.045.

So you have a bigger lift than the stock cams, which will allow more air into the cylinders

and more duration, too, which means more power.

And because you are changing so much with your lift and duration, COMP does say that

you will need to upgrade to their Beehive spring to support the added lift.

And if you're thinking of not doing this, the only thing I'll say is that you've already

gone so far with your build.

You're already doing the cams, and you already have your supporting mods, so why not do it

right?

It would stink to do all of this work and then have issues with your valve springs down

the road, and worse case, drop a valve and lose the engine.

Now, when it comes to power numbers, those are gonna be difficult to nail down specifically

because of the difference in mods, power adders, boost levels, and your supporting mods.

Differences in tunes will also cause changes in power between cars, so it's really hard

to say specifically.

The other thing that comes into play here besides power gains is that wonderful sound

of cams.

Everyone loves that big, lopey idle and these cams certainly deliver on that.

COMP cams calls out a rough idle as one of the big features here, so you won't be disappointed

there.

When it comes to price, you can expect to pay close to $1,300 for this setup.

Now, keep in mind that these are stage three cams and they require other modifications

to work properly, like those valve springs and retainers and other supporting mods, too,

like a tune, for instance.

These cams are serious and they're gonna come with big benefits with the right setup.

That being said, serious parts usually cost serious cash and that's the same thing here.

When it comes to the install, you guys might be able to imagine, a cam swap is gonna be

a fair amount of work.

Gonna call it a three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.

You can plan on spending anywhere from half a day to a full day in the garage, depending

on your expertise and experience.

Let's just say that you need your whole toolbox for this one and I would get some new cam

bolts for the install, so think about those.

If you're planning on doing this one yourself, a manual with the torque specs would be a

great place to start.

You'll need to remove the intake manifold, valve covers, crank pulley, front engine cover,

and timing chains, just to name a few things before getting started with the actual swap.

If this is something that you're not up to speed on, you might wanna leave this one up

to your local shop.

And don't forget about those other supporting mods that you're gonna need to install with

these cams.

That's gonna wrap things up for the COMP Cams XE-R Supercharged/Nitrous Stage III Camshafts

for the '96 to '04 Cobra and Mach 1, and the '07 to '12 GT500.

But as always, you can check them out more online, right here at americanmuscle.com.

What You Should Do To Survive In The Wilderness - Duration: 7:37.

There's one simple response to the question we are asking today, and that is, "It aint

easy."

We used to do it all the time, survive in the wild.

When we were hunter/gatherers of course, for many thousands of years.

Yet these days most of us would be pretty useless if dropped off in the jungles of South

East Asia or if expected to survive alone in a huge forest.

We might recall the movie "Into the Wild", in which one young man attempts to leave the

city and live in nature.

He doesn't last very long.

Could celebrity survivalist Bear Grylls even survive, if the TV cameras, nurses, and other

staff weren't on hand to help?

Well, today we'll see how best we might cope alone out there, in this episode of the

Infographics Show, How to Survive in The Wilderness?

Ok, let's first look at the word wilderness, because it has many meanings.

It could mean a wasteland, or even the open sea, but what we are really asking today is

how to survive in what one dictionary calls, "A wild and uncultivated region, uninhabited

or inhabited only by wild animals."

This definition could include forests and deserts, but as most of us don't live in

deserts, today we will focus on forests.

After all, it's likely many of us have walked through forests and some of us may have even

been lost in one of them.

The first thing is, did you tell anyone where you were going?

If you didn't, you might be one of the least smart people on the planet.

You should always tell someone where you plan to go, especially if you go alone.

Remember that guy from the movie "127 Hours", the one that had to hack off his own arm with

a dull blade?

He didn't tell anyone where he was going.

We think you get the picture.

But let's say this trip of yours was a personal pilgrimage, something meaningful and private

and so you didn't tell anyone.

You didn't even take your phone because you wanted total detachment from the world.

So, you are lost, and you are well aware that you are far, far away from any communities.

According to some experts, the first thing you should do is not panic.

Panicking will lead to mistakes and you need to conserve your energy.

So, you are calm, and you know that the first thing you need to find is a water source,

as our bodies are 60 percent water, and even the strongest among us can only go a week

without it.

For most people, it's three or four days.

One expert told Fox News, "You can go 100 hours without drinking at an average temperature

outdoors.

If it's cooler, you can go a little longer.

If you are exposed to direct sunlight, it's less."

Obviously if you are walking and sweating, things get worse.

So, you look at your water situation.

You have some water of course, but how long will it last you?

This is actually called "survival hydration", but it's not an exact science.

One survival site we found says you need to replace less than you lose, through sweating,

breathing and urinating, and it came to the conclusion that the minimum to survive for

a 154 pound person (74 kg) is about one liter (or a little over 4 cups) of water a day.

This is to stay tip-top at least.

It's important to note that the site says do not take little sips all day, wait 4 or

6 hours and have a big gulp so the body knows the drought is over.

If you've got salt, dissolve some of that in your mouth first as it will act as an electrolyte.

It's also important that it's a tiny bit of salt for each big gulp, about 1/16th of

a teaspoon.

Ok, so you know how best to ration your water.

What next?

Well, look around you?

What kind of food do you have?

You can go weeks without food; some people fast for 5-10 days and don't keel over.

But if you are on the move, you will want to ration your food.

Obviously, you should eat anything that will perish soon, first.

Ideally a man needs at least 1,700 calories a day to have a good amount of energy, so

look at your food and try to work out how many calories you have.

You don't want to eat all the calorific food on the first day.

You'll have to do some math, even if you're hoping to get out of your predicament before

your food runs out.

If you don't have much food, or even any food, if you happen to know what plants and

berries to eat, then have some, but be careful, because picking the wrong thing could kill

you or at least make you sick.

In the wild, some things are your best buddies, in terms of eating, and they are bugs, eggs,

fruit, and edible leaves.

The backpacker Yossi Ghinsberg who survived in the Amazon for several weeks ate tons of

eggs, especially ant eggs.

Yummy.

As Bear Grylls says, this is not a time to be squeamish, eat all the insects and animals

you can if you are hungry.

You could set traps for bigger animals, but that's not as easy as it looks.

If you have a gun, of course that will help.

The simplest trap is a stick barely holding up some kind of hood you have fashioned.

Put some food in there and hopefully when you wake up something got in and the hood

fell on it.

If you are next to water, you can also make a spear, which is easy enough if you have

a knife, and try to spear some fish.

You should cook them as they contain bacteria, viruses and parasites, but if that's not

possible and you are starving to death, try to eat only the meat on the fish.

That said, you'd be better off looking for birds' eggs.

So, you know how much food and water you have, and roughly how long you can last.

What else do you have?

Did you bring matches or a lighter?

You better make sure you keep them dry.

If you have anything you absolutely don't need and it's heavy, say you brought a framed

picture of your dog, dump it.

But be careful what you throw away.

For example, don't dump any heavy books, because you could use the pages to get a fire

going.

If you have no matches or lighter, you can take two pieces of dry wood, one a sharpened

stick and the other a larger piece of wood.

Put wispy kindling next to where you will drill, using a rub motion with the stick,

and you should get a spark.

Make sure you have your book, or small pieces of dry wood nearby.

Now you are ready.

If you remember seeing a water source, then head there, but don't build a home there,

as it could flood.

It depends on the season of course, so if it's scorching hot, build higher than the

river by quite a bit, but also in the shade.

You should be an easy walking distance to your water source, which will likely be either

a stream, river, or lake.

Springs and streams have the cleanest and safest water to drink.

You might even be in a muddy area, where you can dig a hole about one foot deep so that

water collects in it.

It's not pleasant to drink, but you can strain it through a cloth.

With rivers or lakes, you should use purification tablets if you have them, and if not, boil

the water.

Even solar power works to kill nasty things, so if you have time, you could leave your

collected water out in the sun.

If you cannot do either of those things, it's better to risk dirty water than dying.

If you are not near a water source and it rains, collect the stuff, put out containers

if you have some, or spread a piece of plastic between trees.

Now you can build a shelter, which could be a simple lean-to, just a T-frame with branches

and leaves laid over it.

You might also consider not building on an ant's nest.

Getting bitten all over could be a nightmare.

So, what if you've built a shelter, have some water, but want to get on the move the

next day?

If you can find a trail that someone has already traversed, get on that.

If you can't, and you don't have a compass, you might have to use the stars or the sun,

or just follow the river if there is one.

By the way, if you see no river, head downwards, as that's where they are.

You must keep walking, stay near water if you can, and keep replenishing your food stock.

When you light a fire, hopefully someone will see the smoke.

Fires at night also keep you warm, scare away animals, and repel bugs.

You can also use a fire to know how the weather is, or will be.

If there is low pressure, the smoke will stir about or fall, meaning rain could be on the

way.

If it just rises-up, then that means high pressure, and you should have a clear day.

Now that you know how to survive, the rest is about getting out.

As we said, make lots of smoke, and if you move on, look for trails, people on the river,

or any signs humans have been near.

Follow those signs, and if possible leave signs that you've been around.

The fire should suffice.

So, if you were forced to survive in the wilderness, what measures would you take to keep yourself

alive, that we haven't already mentioned?

The History of Easter Traditions | What is the origin of the Easter bunny and Easter eggs? - Duration: 2:47.

Today's Question is: "What is the origin of the Easter bunny and Easter eggs?"

In this video I'll answer that question from a historical and biblical perspective.

Afterwards, I'll share some helpful resources, so stick around until the end.

---It is commonly thought that the word Easter comes from a pagan figure called Eastre who

was celebrated as the goddess of spring by the Saxons of Northern Europe.

The only problem with this theory is that it has no basis in history.

The existence of a goddess named Eastre or a spring festival in her honor is based on

pure conjecture.

The same is true of the origin of the Easter bunny and Easter eggs—no one knows for sure

how these things became a part of Easter observances.

The most we can say is that the word Easter is probably related to the word east (ost

in German) and that the Saxons had a month they called eosturmononath.

---The legend of the Easter bunny bringing eggs appears to have been brought to the United

States by settlers from Germany.

The German tradition of the Easter bunny (or Oschter Haws) migrated to America in the 1700s,

accompanying German immigrants, many of whom settled in Pennsylvania.

Over the past 200 years, the Easter bunny has become the most commercially recognized

symbol of Easter in the United States.

Other countries use other animals as the symbol of Easter, such as the cuckoo in Switzerland.

---In legend, the Easter bunny, also called the Easter hare and the spring bunny, brings

baskets filled with colored eggs, candy, and sometimes toys to the homes of children on

the night before Easter, in much the same way as Santa Claus is said to deliver presents

on Christmas Eve.

The Easter Bunny will either put the baskets in a designated place or hide them somewhere

in the house or garden for the children to find when they wake up in the morning, giving

rise to the tradition of the Easter egg hunt.

Obviously, none of this comes from the Bible.

---Should Christian parents allow their children to participate in traditional activities that

refer to the Easter bunny?

This is a question both parents and church leaders struggle with.

There is nothing essentially evil about the Easter bunny.

What is important is our focus.

If our focus is on Christ and not the Easter bunny, our children will understand that,

like Santa Claus, the Easter bunny is merely a symbol.

Easter should be a time to reflect upon and celebrate the resurrection of Christ.

Would you consider yourself to be a smart shopper would you like to work for

an employer who not only helps the community but also pays you for it. If

you answered yes to these questions you should consider working for the company

Shipt

I in an interest in becoming a shipt shopper I went online looking for

reviews on what it would be like working for shipt I had questions about how

you got hired how much you got paid how it all worked but I could never find a

really clear answer then I joined shipt now I'd like to outline for you

that you're at least 18 years old and for some reason ask you if you work at

now don't get

discouraged but the first email you received from shipt is them telling

you they don't need you right now I don't know how long it's gonna be but

for me it was four more days congratulations you've been selected

this is when the emails start coming in first you'll need to fill out a w-9 form

for your taxes then you'll need to sign a shipt shopper agreement you'll need

to agree to a background check send them proof of auto insurance and

then you're all set next you'll need to do a 45-minute

shipt shopper orientation course and find yourself a comfortable spot for

morning within 10 minutes I had already had a customer tomorrow morning I'm

going to deliver my first shipt delivery. Now if there's anybody from

Shipt to watch it I love the logo let me ask your question does it have to be

green

The first order I did went better than expected the app worked flawlessly and

easily outlined the product I was searching for with detailed description

and a picture all you need to do is scan the UPC code in the app tells you if

you've got the right product

if you grabbed the wrong size or flavor or

brand the app will tell you the product is instantly put into your cart and

you're ready to move on to your next item

shipt outlines how much time you'll need to get your delivery there on time

shopping sending images is also an option which is very handy when it comes

to substituting items

you'll want to take care of your canned goods your dry items and your personal

hygiene products before you head on over to your produce, you're fish your

meats your dairy products and then end with your frozen foods

when I got to the deli products it was as easy as reading it right off on my

phone

everyone at the store was very helpful they seemed like they really wanted to

help me out

now here's the question I really wanted answered how much was I going to make

for this delivery I spent a little over an hour doing this delivery and that's

because I gave myself a little bit of extra time I bought a hundred and thirty

four dollars worth of groceries for this customer I got paid fifteen dollars and

five cents for that order on top of that I got another five dollar tip this was

pretty good money for this order considering now that I know what I'm

doing I could do this in less than an hour I really enjoyed my first

experience working with shipt so much so that I continue to do orders for them I

would compare shipt to a scavenger hunt you get paid for I would also say it's

like playing let's make a deal you get to choose the runs you go on. Some you

lose and some you win

in two days I did six runs I made a hundred and fifty nine dollars fifty

dollars of that was from tips. So here's my suggestion to you if you're good at

customer service and you like to go shopping then shipt might be a great

opportunity for you

first day. first day?

I mean, I do consider myself a normal person

depending on what you consider normal

I mean, I go to school

I take care of my cat

I have a job

In my heart I'm a fighter

So this is The Yard. This is where all the magic happens.

I love it here because it's gritty - It's open gym style so people just come in, they work hard

Um... get bloody

This girl is tough!

The first time I ever saw here fight I was like "Yo! This chick is bad a**!"

A the end of the day I love fighting. It's what I love to do

She's got the most important ingredient, she's not afraid of danger

Coach and I decided it was time to go pro. In a year and a half we had about 5 fights that all fell through

So that was kind of a nightmare

When I was unable to fight - It's very difficult emotionally. It's, for example,

If you're a painter and you cannot paint

Even though I still love the sport I love to just practice

sometimes you want a goal, you need something to work towards

Thailand was a really tough experience for me

I was away from my husband, we had just gotten married

I did enjoy that fact that I could just train

I didn't have anything else to stress out about. I just trained, I slept, I ate - That was it

There are many things that I love about Muay Thai

I think that it challenges me as a person to be stronger

Everyday I get up, sometimes I don't feel like going to the gym - Just as much as anybody else!

But I get up and I do it because I want to be better

My kicks are bad, so I'm working on my kicks

My punches suck - So then I work on my punches, and then my kicks get bad again

So I'm just - It's a constant balance and juggling process of progression

I think hard work trumps talent. Hard work trumps pretty much anything

So I think if you work hard you will be successful

1996-2012 Mustang Cobra, Mach 1 & GT500 Comp Cams XE-R Supercharged Nitro Stage III Camshafts Review - Duration: 5:22.

Easter should be a time to reflect upon and celebrate the resurrection of Christ.

an employer who not only helps the community but also pays you for it. If

you answered yes to these questions you should consider working for the company

Shipt

I in an interest in becoming a shipt shopper I went online looking for

reviews on what it would be like working for shipt I had questions about how

now don't get

discouraged but the first email you received from shipt is them telling

you they don't need you right now I don't know how long it's gonna be but

for me it was four more days congratulations you've been selected

this is when the emails start coming in first you'll need to fill out a w-9 form

for your taxes then you'll need to sign a shipt shopper agreement you'll need

to agree to a background check send them proof of auto insurance and

then you're all set next you'll need to do a 45-minute

shipt shopper orientation course and find yourself a comfortable spot for

morning within 10 minutes I had already had a customer tomorrow morning I'm

going to deliver my first shipt delivery. Now if there's anybody from

Shipt to watch it I love the logo let me ask your question does it have to be

green

The first order I did went better than expected the app worked flawlessly and

easily outlined the product I was searching for with detailed description

and a picture all you need to do is scan the UPC code in the app tells you if

you've got the right product

if you grabbed the wrong size or flavor or

brand the app will tell you the product is instantly put into your cart and

you're ready to move on to your next item

shipt outlines how much time you'll need to get your delivery there on time

communication with the client is easy as you can text back and forth while you're

shopping sending images is also an option which is very handy when it comes

to substituting items

you'll want to take care of your canned goods your dry items and your personal

hygiene products before you head on over to your produce, you're fish your

meats your dairy products and then end with your frozen foods

when I got to the deli products it was as easy as reading it right off on my

phone

everyone at the store was very helpful they seemed like they really wanted to

help me out

now here's the question I really wanted answered how much was I going to make

for this delivery I spent a little over an hour doing this delivery and that's

because I gave myself a little bit of extra time I bought a hundred and thirty

four dollars worth of groceries for this customer I got paid fifteen dollars and

five cents for that order on top of that I got another five dollar tip this was

pretty good money for this order considering now that I know what I'm

doing I could do this in less than an hour I really enjoyed my first

experience working with shipt so much so that I continue to do orders for them I

would compare shipt to a scavenger hunt you get paid for I would also say it's

like playing let's make a deal you get to choose the runs you go on. Some you

lose and some you win

in two days I did six runs I made a hundred and fifty nine dollars fifty

dollars of that was from tips. So here's my suggestion to you if you're good at

customer service and you like to go shopping then shipt might be a great

opportunity for you

first day. first day?

I Overspent at Costco – Real Life with Rachel - Duration: 2:13.

I know life happens, right?

It's kind of crazy. It's like you get up,

you're trying to like, get kids out the door,

you're trying to get to work, or you're just trying

to get kids where they're supposed to be

and get home and cook dinner, all of it.

Like, it's just nuts, and so, I feel like the thing

that takes the hit the most is the grocery budget.

The grocery ClickList thing, for real, do it

because it's going to help you.

Because when you don't do it,

you're going to be like me two months ago at Costco.

(soft jazzy piano music)

Mhmm, that's right, I went in to buy water.

They have like water that's like 80,000 bottles,

but it's like, $2 or something crazy,

so we always stack up on Costco water.

So we ran out of bottles of water,

so I was like, "Oh, I'll run into Costco."

Yeah, you can't just like, run into Costco

because you end up like, buying all this stuff

and that's what I did, especially the first part

with all the things right when you walk in,

I was like, "Yeah, I need a huge bean bag, yes I do."

Right, I'm like, "Oh my gosh there's all these things

I just feel like I need to buy."

And I walked out and I spent $142.

(cash register dinging)

I was supposed to buy water, but I bought a charcuterie plate

or, charcuterie. If you don't know what that is,

it's basically a bunch of meat,

and I don't even really like meat,

but I bought this huge thing of meat

that can feed like, a small country,

and it has so much preservatives that it like,

didn't expire until like, 2021.

And I had to like, jam it in my fridge when I got home.

I mean, it was just really bad, you guys.

Like, it was so bad, but I bought dog food,

so my dog's alive because of that trip.

That's what I told Winston, I was like,

"Don't worry, Nala has food, that's why I went."

So, it's just really bad when you walk in,

especially to places like Costco, so you have to . . .

I feel like I'm bashing Costco, love you Costco, love ya.

Just make sure you make a list when you walk in,

for real, it's so easy to overspend.

And that moment just reminded me,

gosh, we think that we need things in the moment,

I was like, "I need all this meat." (laughs)

But I don't.

So the 14-pack of Sonicare toothbrush heads,

or the year's worth of ramen noodles,

I know it sounds like a great idea,

but if it's not on the list, don't buy it.

But I know I'm not the only one

'cause I hear from you guys all the time

that you overspend on food too.

So, one of the habits that I've gotten into

that saves me money is meal planning.

Nurse Thinks Mom Hasn't Noticed Her, But Mom Can't Stay Silent About What She's Seen Her Do - Duration: 5:19.

Nurse Thinks Mom Hasn't Noticed Her, But Mom Can't Stay Silent About What She's

Seen Her Do

Shelby and Jonathan have a daughter named Sophie who is currently fighting for her life.

When the sweet little two-year-old wasn't feeling well, Shelby thought it was just allergies.

A follow-up appointment with the doctor didn't uncover anything concerning and she was diagnosed

with asthma.

Shelby scheduled Sophie for allergy testing but one night, Sophie stopped breathing.

The Skiles family followed her in the ambulance to the hospital and that's where their world

changed forever.

Doctors discovered a softball-sized mass in tiny Sophie's chest.

The toddler was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma and has spent months enduring terribly aggressive

chemotherapy treatments.

Even though Sophie's body fought hard, her cancer still spread.

The chemotherapy has impacted her ability to walk, talk, use her hands and eat.

She's currently undergoing therapy to prepare her weakened body for a stem cell transplant.

Sometimes the days run together and Shelby forgets to take care of herself, since she's

so busy looking out for Sophie.

To keep family and friends informed of Sophie's progress and to have some semblance of contact

with the world outside the hospital room, Shelby set up a Facebook page called Sophie

the Brave.

It was one particular post Shelby shared that has since gone viral.

Moms with sick ones everywhere have rallied behind Shelby for what she's said about the

nurses.

"I see you.

I sit on this couch all day long and I see you.

You try so hard to be unnoticed by me and my child.

I see your face drop a little when she sees you and cries.

You try so many ways to ease her fears and win her over.

I see you hesitate to stick her or pull Band-Aids off.

You say 'No owies' and 'I'm sorry' more times in one day than most people say 'thank

you.'"

Shelby shared that she watches the nurses carry armloads of medicine and supplies into

one ill child's room while their phones are ringing for help in another room.

She sees them sorting piles of beads for patients so they can add to their milestone necklaces.

"I see all of those rubber bracelets on your arms and wrapped around your stethoscope,

each one for a child that you've cared for and loved ... I see you stroke her little

bald head and tuck her covers around her tightly.

I see you holding the crying mom that got bad news.

I see you trying to chart on the computer while holding the baby whose mom can't-or

won't be at the hospital with her."

Shelby credited the nurses who pop by and visit her daughter even if she isn't their

patient and for sitting with parents facing the unknown when their own on-the-job to-do

list never stops growing.

Their phones are used as templates when painting cartoon characters on patient's windows; they

are cheerleaders for the kids taking cautious laps around the nurses station.

"I see you with that Nerf gun hiding from the kid around the corner.

I see you hold tiny hands, change dirty sheets, translate medical talk for parents and wipe

your eyes coming out of a particularly hard room.

I see you put on gloves, masks and a gown then pause before you hang en IV bag of poison

chemo for my kid."

Absolutely no amount of snack baskets or cards will ever communicate just how appreciative

she is for what the nurses have done for her daughter and all other ill children Shelby's

met along Sophie's journey.

The nurses are the backbone of the peds floor.

"You are Jesus to us every single day.

Our children wouldn't get what they need without you.

Moms like me wouldn't feel sane or heard without you.

You save our babies and we couldn't do this without you."

So far, Shelby's post has been shared more than 25,000 times and garnered more than 48,000

reactions.

Nurses everywhere are touched by Shelby's heartfelt sentiment and emotional outpouring

of support and gratitude for their profession.

Pediatric nurses in particular not only have sick patients, but they have tiny sick patients

who should be running and playing, jumping and giggling, smiling and healthy.

Pediatric nurses are among the most stoic individuals with an unimaginably difficult

job to carry out.

Shelby noted that nurses not only care about their pint-sized patients, but they also look

out for the family members, too.

She herself has been the recipient of love and concern from Sophie's nurses.

"You put aside what's happening in your life for 12 hours straight to care for very sick

and something's dying children.

You go into each room with a smile no matter what's happening in there.

You see Sophie's name on the schedule and come to check on us even when she isn't your

patient.

You call the doctor, blood bank and pharmacy as many times as necessary to get my child

what she needs in a timely manner.

You check on me as often as you check on her.

Newt Gingrich Comes Forward & Exposes The Tragic Thing Mueller Is Doing To The Constitution. - Duration: 2:15.

Newt Gingrich Comes Forward & Exposes The Tragic Thing Mueller Is Doing To The Constitution

As New York City was bustling early this morning, the radio airwaves were burning with sound

of Newt Gingrich calling the Mueller investigation "a 'breakdown' of the U.S. Constitution."

"In an interview with AM 970 in New York, the staunch supporter of President Trump pointed

to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's email investigation as evidence of a double

standard that Gingrich said Americans are sick of seeing" reports The Hill.

Former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich speaks out on the Bill of Rights.

Newt is discussing the raiding of Michael Cohen's homes.

Cohen is a personal attorney for the President of the United States.

What this means for ordinary American's like you and me is truly tragic.

It's frightening to think that our 4th Amendment rights are being impeded by coercion from

the FBI.

Newt begins by saying, "What's really striking to me is, you have Hillary Clinton

erase 33,000 emails.

You have her staff deeply involved.

Do any of them get visited at 3 in the morning?

Do any of them lose their lawyer-client privilege?

No.

It is so one-sided."

Then he continues, "This is why we have a Bill of Rights.

I think what we're watching is a breakdown of the whole concept of constitutional rule

of law.

I think it's really very sobering, and a real threat to every American."

In ending, it as if the FBI is wiggling around the room inside the law.

How a Judge signed off on the raid is concerning.

They are not suppose to be able to coerce anyone to testify against someone else.

It is like America has regressed back to the J. Edgar Hoover days, when the FBI acted on

their own.

What is next?

McCarthyism, when all you have to do is make the allegation with no proof?

In closing, do you want the FBI to enforce the law or make the law?

What do you think about this?

#inclusiveIBM - Duration: 3:08.

All of the problems of the world could be settled easily

if we were only willing to think.

Sixty five years ago, a decade before the civil rights act,

our founder wrote Policy Letter #4.

The first corporate mandate on equal employment in history.

And every generation of IBMers is asked:

"how can we in our own time

expand our understanding of inclusion?"

You can't be what you can't see.

I think inclusion is being able to incorporate

lots of different view points.

I read recently that IBM has more then 360,000 employees.

My job is to make sure that none of their voices get lost.

IBM's not defined by a product,

it's really defined by IBMers.

I co-chair the IBM Women's Council,

which is the executive team that really sponsors

women's initiatives as well as progressing

women talent across multiple leadership roles

both in technology and business.

This is an important moment in time to really be able

to show our next generation of young leaders

what it is to be a women in tech,

a senior women in tech,

a business executive in tech.

To me, this is about first visible role models.

Because when we can see ourselves in technology,

we can all build our future in it.

We have literally hundreds of programs around the world.

That are focused on a truly global approach

to diversity and inclusion.

We have these online communities,

that have connected with trans people all over the globe.

They face different cultural challenges

depending on what country they're in.

But one constant is IBM is going to be the inclusive part.

At IBM we have what we call Business Resource Groups,

I'm part of the Hispanic one

and I'm part of the Women's one that we have in Austin.

In technology, everything is moving so fast,

having the inclusion, it makes a company more competitive.

Diversity creates innovation.

You have the leeway and the permission to be

whoever you want to be within a company.

You can actually give your perspective

and know that it's valued.

The more work we do to make sure we are inclusive

and we are diverse and we are the mirror of the world,

the more generations of girls to come will look up

and feel like they can achieve everything they want to achieve.

If you really want truly ethical, unbiased technology,

we need to make sure that everyone has equal opportunity

to participate in its creation.

You can't be what you can't see.

You can't be what you can't see.

You can't be what you can't see.

Storm of Steel - Author And Officer Ernst Jünger I WHO DID WHAT IN WW1? - Duration: 9:21.

For this episode, viewer discretion is advised.

There are several books - memoirs - written by soldiers about their experiences in the

First World War, but a couple really stand out.

One such book is "Storm of Steel" by Ernst Jünger.

I'm Indy Neidell; welcome to a Great War special episode about Ernst Jünger.

He was born March 29, 1895 in Heidelberg.

His father was a chemist, and young Ernst enjoyed botany and zoology, especially the

lives of insects, and was also an avid reader, reading adventurous travelogues long into

the nights about the African deserts and jungles.

However, in school, he was a terrible student, scoring the worst marks in the entire school,

and even being expelled.

So in 1913, he took his school money, bought a revolver, and went to Verdun where he joined

the French Foreign Legion.

While he's en route to Algeria, his father is talking to the German Foreign Office to

try and get him back, since it was actually illegal for him to enter the Legion, and Dad

thought it would destroy Ernst's future.

By the time the Foreign Office got him back to Germany, Ernst had served time in a military

prison, since he himself had already tried to flee the Legion.

And so he returned to his life of scholarly failure.

Then the war broke out and joining the army seemed like salvation.

On August 6, 1914, Ernst Jünger was accepted into the Hanoverian Fusilier Regiment number

73.

This was known as an elite infantry regiment, but while it was storming Namur and Luttich,

Ernst was drilling and training.

He actively joined the regiment in January 1915, and as he was heading toward Champagne

to do so, he wrote his first diary entry into his little notebook.

He would fill many notebooks.

Writing would become very important to him, mostly as escapism, but also as a means of

self-assertion in a world where the individual was swallowed by the collective.

As his company rests in a French village, shells begin to fall, and soldiers and civilians

alike begin to die.

But while all around him was shock and confusion, Jünger felt a thrilling curiosity toward

the violence that came from a still hidden enemy.

He is not a model soldier, and has issues with discipline and authority.

He follows his father's advice and applies for the officers' course, so he can not

only move up in rank and make a name for himself, but also escape life in the winter trenches.

As an officer candidate, he returns to the front to fight at Les Eparges in late April.

As he walks over the bombed out battlefield, he feels a morbid fascination for the mutilated

dead.

While others shy away from fear or self-preservation, Jünger remains and writes down his observations.

"Then the warning call of death slid through the ranks, "Medics to the front!"...

Right and left, the shells stomped the soft ground...

We moved into the battle-ridden empire of the infantry... a young man lays in a shell

hole, the yellowish color of death on his cheeks.

Our starring seemed uncomfortable to him, and with indifference, he moved his coat over

his head and fell silent."

Jünger's writing style is without pathos, and is quite prosaic and authentic.

He notes his own absence of disgust as he walks among the mutilated dead.

He watches with fascination as a German officer walks upright through a rain of fire while

the cowering soldier beside the officer is killed by shrapnel.

Jünger is astonished by the fortunes of war and his writing is mercilessly realistic.

"From all sides the wounded poured toward the trench.

The passage was horribly blocked by the seriously wounded and the dying.

And always new impacts.

I want to confess that my nerves failed me completely.

I was simply scared, pale and senseless.

Later, I would often look back on those moments and shake my head."

Jünger became Leutnant in November and realized that now, as an officer, he could never shy

away from danger without losing his men's respect.

He describes not only how he changes as a man, but how the whole army changes over the

course of the war, as death and killing become routine, especially for the assault teams,

and Jünger steels himself in an armor of indifference to pain and death.

However, his entries from his leave time away from the front show another side of Ernst

Jünger.

He laments the devastation of France, and the wall of blood and grief that would stand

between France and Germany in future.

He also writes about his liaison with a French woman named Jeanne, his confrontations with

his superiors, and even his fear of infections from brothels.

These sort of personal memories from his diaries would not be included in their actual publication.

In the summer of 1916, his regiment is fighting the British at the Somme.

By this time, Jünger has made a name for himself as a daredevil, leading combat patrols

into enemy trenches.

He writes that with a pistol in his left hand, a grenade in his right, and a knife clenched

between his teeth, he yearns for the fever of the hunt.

Adrenalin and the rush of battle drive him again and again into danger.

"Either I will be richer of another invaluable experience, or I will be dead."

The absence of fear during the rush of battle is the very essence of freedom to Jünger.

His diary entries from the Somme are full of gruesome details.

The reality of battle is the sweetish smell of rotting flesh in the summer heat, of broken

bodies frozen in their final moments, of the screams of the dying in the cellars of the

medical corps.

Jünger himself was seriously wounded six times, and then we see his veneer of invulnerability

crack and he panics, for he is still just a man.

You can read of his excitement watching the Red Baron's squadron at the Battle of Arras,

of close combat with Canadian shock troops, of how he won regimental honors by withstanding

a huge British attack with only 24 men.

At the Third Battle of Ypres he saved his brother's life after randomly coming across

him lying wounded in a trench; only his officer's status got the brother to the medics in time.

His diaries will become the adventurous literature for a whole new generation of would be soldiers.

"Now an indescribable annihilation began.

Hand grenades flew like snowballs through the air... shouts of fear and anger mingled.

With fire in our eyes, we jumped screaming over the edge of the trench."

In the spring of 1918, most of his company is killed by a British shell and he unleashes

his stormtroops in retaliation.

"Forwards.

No mercy.

Anger.

Shots from the trenches, hand grenades in!

Howling.

Grab one by the neck.

Hands up!

Explosion, jumping in...

Behind me a man falls; I shoot the gunner in the eye...

Others fall.

Two men are running back.

Headshot.

Stomach shot.

I'm grim; Englishmen flee from the barracks, one falls.

Direct hit.

Loss.

Forward!"

Jünger was shot the day after writing that, and would learn of the failure of the spring

offensives from his father's home.

He returned to the front for the final time in July, his company now down to just 15 men,

but still they are sent out on assault missions.

Jünger is shot twice in the chest one day, but manages to fight his way back close to

German lines.

The two men who carry him to the medic are shot.

Jünger survives, but his war is over.

He leaves the war with the Pour le Merite, Germany's highest award for bravery.

Many soldiers of the war would write their memoirs and in fact, during the 20s there

was a craze for authentic frontline experiences.

Jünger highly edited, shortened, and commented on his diaries, and only a fraction of the

material made its way into the first edition of "In Stahlgewittern" - "Storm of Steel"

in English, but it became one of the most important books on the war ever written.

Today it is often seen as the anti-Remarque, and as war mongering.

Back in the 20s though, it was seen by many as soft and unpatriotic, because of the descriptions

of fear and failure.

It is a personal account, with no literary ambition, and open to interpretation.

In terms of life in postwar Germany, Jünger had no sympathy with the German Revolution,

nor the Weimar Republic or pacifism.

He also strongly rejected Nazi ideology.

Ernst Jünger is perhaps Germany's most discussed and most controversial 20th century

author still to this day.

He died in 1998, nearly 103 years old.

Storm of Steel is quite provocative, but since the original diaries became available, we

can now know even more about his time in

the war.

Courts Strike Down Trump's Latest Transgender Military Ban - Duration: 3:18.

On Friday a federal judge in Seattle struck down Donald Trump's latest trans-gender troop

ban for the United States military saying that first of all, the ban really doesn't

stand up to any kind of legal muster.

But more importantly Donald Trump's rationale for putting this ban in place makes absolutely

no sense whatsoever.

See, originally the Trump administration when it came out with their first trans-gender

troop ban said they that were doing it because the cost of medical care for these troops

was just too high.

We're spending too much money on them, so we're just going to ban them from ever being

able to serve in the military.

And then after that got struck down they kind of tweaked it a little bit, used the same

reasoning and then tried to pass it off as if it were something new.

They judge in this case said, yeah, there's really no distinction between the two trans-gender

bans and therefore neither of them are constitutional.

"You can not do this", the judge said.

So here's what we're looking at, at this point.

First of all, let's address the cost issue that Donald Trump was talking about, the whole

reason for this allegedly.

While as it turns out Donald Trump's travel and vacation time for the last year is actually

more expensive than what the United States military spends in a year on trans-gender

troops.

So if it was really a cost issue, Donald Trump wouldn't be traveling all over the country

to go play golf whenever the hell he feels like it so he can pocket the profits off of

that from the federal government.

Yeah, that doesn't work, especially considering the fact that didn't we just increase the

military's budget by 70 or $80 billion on top of the hundreds of billions of dollars

they already got?

If there's one government agency or government division, department, whatever we want to

call it, that has enough money to cover stuff, it's the military.

Under no circumstances does Donald Trump's reasoning hold up to reality.

That actually seems to be the case with most everything Donald Trump does, but in this

specific case, this trans-gender troop ban had nothing to do with money and everything

to do with bigotry.

That's what this was.

That's why he did this.

I guarantee you and in fact we do know that Mike Pence had a hand in crafting this trans-gender

military ban.

This is all about the religious right trying to make a statement that they do not like

people who are different from them.

They do not accept people who are different from them and they're going to do whatever

they can to sneak that hatred and that bigotry into United States policy and that is exactly

what this trans-gender military ban is all about.

And this judge in Seattle saw right through what this administration was trying to do

and struck it down.

Paul Merson makes a huge Arsene Wenger prediction ● News Now ● #AFC - Duration: 1:38.

Arsene Wenger will manage again once he leaves Arsenal - and he could come back and haunt

the Gunners.

That is the opinion of Arsenal hero turned pundit Paul Merson.

Wenger is under huge pressure to leave the Emirates this summer after yet another season

of disappointment.

Arsenal are sixth in the Premier League table, have lost their last five away games, and

see their only chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season by winning the

Europa League.

Wenger has always seen him at his club, so the club may have to remove him from duty

a year before his current deal expires.

Merson believes it is time Wenger left Arsenal but reckons he could have more success elsewhere.

"I think he'll be manager somewhere else," Merson told talkSPORT.

"He'll get a job in two minutes when he leaves Arsenal, he'll want to manage again.

"I look at Arsene Wenger and football is his life.

He will manage again.

"That is the problem for Arsenal; when he does, he could come and haunt them.

"Wherever he goes he can go and do something special like he did at Arsenal."
