007 IN BRAZIL - Duration: 4:26.

Draco! Drop your weapon!

It's the end of the line for you.

No, please, wait.

Freeze! Freeze!

What's going on here? Put the weapon down, motherfucker!

Officers, my name is Bond. James Bond.

I'm a British Service agent.

Do you understand what this guy is saying?

He's French. I don't speak French.

He says he's gonna kill me and then you.

He hates all Brazilians.

Shut the fuck up 'cause you must've

pissed the fuck out of him

since I've never since a head waiter this angry before.

Fuck! What did you do? Did you leave without paying?

Guys, Darko is an international terrorist.

Do you speak "Brazilian"?

AD1, go back to nest. Situation under control here.

I've gotta kill him

of the Queen of England's safety.

Queen of what? Where do you think you are?

This is no beehive for you to work for a queen.

No one is dying here today.

I've got a license to kill.

What? What do you mean?

I'm 007. I've got a license to kill.

The only license to kill here is my double .38 caliber here

and I'll double shoot you

on your double balls if you don't keep your cool.

Can we all stay calm, please?

I really do have a license to kill.

Really? Show it to me?

-What do you mean? -You claim you have it.

Show it to me. Where is it?

It's a document signed by the Queen

and by the Prime-Minister.

It's not worth shit!

It needs to be approved by Rio's City Hall, dude.

-What do you mean? -Do you have Rio's stamp?

-Rio's stamp? -Rio's stamp of approval!

To be valid here,

it needs to be signed by our Highness, out Mister Bishop,

Pastor Crivella, okay?

My license has the stamp of the Crown.

That Crown might approve of you but his king here

wants to see a fucking stamp of approval of the City Hall.

I want to see your passport

to see if you have a work visa.

-What's your Social Security Number? -Social? I don't have one.

Guys, I have all my papers with me.

It's all up to date. SSN, ID, so if I can get going...

Cyclope, keep your cool and we'll deal with the foreigner here.

Without a Social Security Number, things are not gonna look good for you.

What happened? Did you lose your wallet?

Have you filed a report?

If you haven't,

you'll need to provide a proof of address,

a military discharge certificate,

a 3x4 photo, and a background check.

If I do all that, Drako is going to run away, right?

That's right, man.

I'm here with you but I could be taking the bus that would take me straight hoke

but that is a runner, right?

We all have problems.

-Sir... -Get it. Go.

I'm sorry but I need to get your gun.

Hold on, officer. This is my work tool.

Fuck, Mesquita! I told you not to hit anyone!

Shit's gonna hit the fan, man!

-You slapped him, man. -You can't do that.

You do that and then what?

Someone can film that and sell it to a TV show.

"Police officers assault tourist."

Foreigners are so white. You can see the marks of your fingers.

I'm sorry, Sir. It wasn't supposed to be like this.

You come here and unassumingly use the taser on him.

That's how you do it.

That's why the City bought these things for.

-That's how we use them! -That's how you do it.

-Okay then. -It's way more civilized.

It's not messy, it's clean. See. He just pissed himself.

-He's fucked. -His mouth is foaming.

-I think he's dead. -Holy shit!

Mesquita, that's too much for me!

I really can't do it like this, Mesquita.

Pecanha, I didn't think this guy was coming from behind me.

He came so quietly

and scared the shit out of me, so I shot him!

-Muscle memory. -That's harsh!

Now what? What do we do, boss?

Now get this fucking gun and place it in the tourist's hand.

He has a license to kill, so fuck it.

Find some hookers and put them next to him.

He'll wake up and think he was just partying or some shit.

What about us, boss? What do we do?

We head out.

But before we get his watch. Looks nice as hell.

You can probably trade it for two used cars.

And cut the pirate's arm.

He must have stickers for the World Cup album in his briefcase.

They're paying $ 5 each.

These sticker packs are so hard to open!

Pecanha! This Frenchman's watch is weird.

There are so many buttons!

Keep pressing them. They must be for alarms, timers and these things.

Magnetic blast.

Holy shit!

What the fuck? Was that the Frenchman's watch?

Are you crazy, man! We are in Alcatraz, man!

It's 110F outside! Things just explode naturally!

Also, bad administration.

The other day this happened to my washer.

It even burned a cat and shit.

Oh okay. The watch is still intact.

The Real Reason We Don't Hear From Meredith Vieira Anymore - Duration: 3:52.

Meredith Vieira is undoubtedly one of the most respected journalists and television

personalities in America.

From her work on Today to her long-running co-hosting gig at The View, there are few

professional milestones she hasn't reached.

Unfortunately for Vieira's most dedicated fans, she's receded from public view in recent

years.

So, what gives?

In November 2017, a video surfaced of Matt Lauer making an inappropriate comment to Vieira

on the set of the Today show in 2006.

"Pretty sweater.

Keep bending over like that.

It's a nice view."

The video leaked the day Lauer was fired from Today for alleged sexual misconduct, according

to NBC News.

The tape must have embarrassed Vieira, because she has never spoken out about it and she

has yet to release an official statement on the matter to the press, as of the making

of this video.

In fact, she has not publicly commented on any of Lauer's scandals, including the allegations

that he harassed several of his co-workers at Today.

Post-election escape

After the presidential election in November 2016, Vieira revealed that she was suffering

from political anxiety that has discouraged her from appearing on television.

When asked if the election inspired her to return to reporting, Vieira told Variety "No.":

"This has been a very difficult election cycle for me, and I'm not talking about because

Donald Trump won.

There was such ugliness that came out.

… What happened to me is I developed anxiety.

I never binge watch stuff, and I started binge watching things.

I think I was trying to escape it."

Vieira wasn't kidding around: As of the making of this video, she hasn't given an interview

about a political issue or controversy since the election.

Post-mortem

When her daytime talk show, The Meredith Vieira Show, was cancelled in 2016, she likely needed

to take a break from the spotlight to recover.

Although Vieira put a lot of effort into what was clearly a deeply personal project, with

a set actually modeled on her own living room, the show's ratings were a bit of a disaster.

In fact, Nielsen determined that Vieira's program was "the second least-popular of the

15 current syndicated talk shows on the air" during its second and final season.

"Cheers, darling!

The best is yet to come."

Family first

Vieira's husband of more than 30 years, fellow journalist Richard Cohen, was diagnosed with

multiple sclerosis in 1973.

Vieira has been vocal about Cohen's difficult illness and how it has affected their marriage.

Understandably, Vieira says she wants to take advantage of Cohen's relatively good health

before his chronic disease progresses even further.

Vieira admitted that she left her high-profile job at Today in 2011 so she could enjoy life

with Cohen before things took a turn for the worse.

She told Good Housekeeping:

"I was more leaving because he's healthy.

So why not while we are able to enjoy life?"

So, if you're wondering why Vieira hasn't appeared on TV in a while, there's a good

chance she's savoring her time with Cohen and the rest of her family at her home in

Cape Cod.

"I think we've learned that illness is a family affair."

Good deeds

In recent years, Vieira has focused the bulk of her attention on charity work.

In fact, her low-key Twitter presence mostly centers around the causes she supports, such

as Project Sunshine, an organization that meets the "non-medical, social-emotional needs

of children dealing with illness," according to the charity's website.

Behind the camera

In 2016, Vieira executive produced Tower, a documentary about the first mass school

shooting in the United States.

Vieira opted for a behind-the-scenes role that took her out of the public eye.

Instead of narrating the doc, Vieira chose to give other people involved with the project

a chance to shine.

In May 2017, Deadline reported that Vieira would executive produce Paramour, a movie

inspired by the true story Susanne Klatten, the wealthy and reclusive BMW heiress, played

by Kristin Scott Thomas.

Filming is expected to start in 2018, so it's likely that the movie will be released in

late 2018 or early 2019.

Considering Paramour is a more high-profile project compared to Tower, it's likely Vieira

will do a lot of promotion for the film.

And who knows?

Maybe she'll even grace a red carpet or two in the future.

Why Hollywood Won't Cast Sacha Baron Cohen Anymore - Duration: 5:49.

English actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer and notorious prankster Sacha Baron Cohen

is known for pushing the envelope with his original characters.

From British suburban rapper Ali G to Kazakhstani journalist Borat, Cohen's antics have established

him as a household name.

But we haven't heard much from the controversial actor lately, which makes us wonder: why won't

Hollywood cast Sacha Baron Cohen anymore?

Retired characters

Aside from a promotional appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2015, Borat hasn't shown up

much since 2008.

Austrian fashion reporter Brüno and Admiral General Aladeen have all but disappeared as

well.

The humor of Cohen's films came from fooling unsuspecting victims, which is almost impossible

to accomplish these days.

"And then we all laugh, high five."

(laughs)

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Cohen explained:

"Every new person who sees the movie is one less person I can be Borat or Bruno with again,

so finishing a movie means having to say goodbye."

Ali G still shows up every so often, though.

Most recently, he was a presenter at the 2016 Academy Awards.

Cohen explained that the Academy wanted him to present as himself, so he had to sneak

his costume in.

"But my thing was I knew that they would be trying to see if I would smuggle anything

in, so my wife very kindly smuggled the beard in her underwear."

Too risky

Cohen's brand of humor is, admittedly, not for everyone.

For an episode of Da Ali G Show, he dressed up as Borat and lead an antisemitic sing-along

in a bar in Arizona.

Cohen received a number of complaints about the incident.

The Anti-Defamation League even wrote to him, saying:

"We are concerned that the irony may have been lost on some of your audience.

[…] In attempting to expose bigotry and prejudice you also bear a responsibility to

be sensitive."

But society has changed since Borat hit theaters in 2006.

"We support your war of terror."

In an interview with The Telegraph, Cohen admitted that he didn't think his films would

get made if he pitched them today, as studios would rather make a profit than take a risk.

Disruptive and destructive

In September 2008, Cohen, as flamboyant fashion reporter Brüno, crashed Milan fashion week.

He used fake passes to get backstage at an Agatha Ruiz de la Prada show, and wore a suit

made entirely of velcro.

He even managed to get onto the catwalk, which he strutted down with a variety of costumes

stuck to his body.

Eventually, the lights went out, he was removed by security, and had to explain himself to

the Italian police.

A spokeswoman for the National Chamber of Italian Fashion told The Telegraph that while

Cohen's stunt gave her a good laugh,

"Some people were very angry and annoyed."

However, many of Cohen's victims have moved past anger and into lawsuits.

In an interview with Today, Cohen joked that he thinks he holds the Guinness World Record

for most sued actor in history.

The executive director of Desert Valley Charities tried to sue the Bruno crew, claiming that

one of Cohen's pranks left her confined to a wheelchair.

A Palestinian grocer who was portrayed in Bruno as a terrorist settled a slander suit

against both Cohen and David Letterman for defamation of character.

Two South Carolina college students, a Baltimore driving instructor, a Macedonian singer and

the Romanian village of Glod have all tried to sue the man behind Borat.

"Mmmm…"

Borat also ended up offending the entire country of Kazakhstan with its backwards and bigoted

portrayal.

But former deputy foreign minister Rakhat Aliyev seems to have realized that all publicity

is good publicity, as he invited Cohen to Kazakhstan, saying that he wanted to show

Borat that:

"Women drive cars, wine is made of grapes, and Jews are free to go to synagogues."

Too offensive

While one might assume Cohen isn't concerned with political correctness, that's far from

the truth.

"This is our Mexican chair people.

Demi Moore have two of them in her house.

Sit here."

If you can even believe it, plenty of his jokes have ended up on the cutting room floor.

"9-11, it's the best."

(speaking foreign language)

Cohen told The Telegraph that he and his writers will always stop to discuss whether they're

going too far with any of their jokes, saying:

"There are a lot of jokes that I would not make.

[…] I am continually filtering stuff that is too much."

But today, as society has become more inclined to speak out against the offensive and the

insensitive, Cohen's job has only become more difficult.

He says:

"Comedy is a weird thing that's hard to analyse.

I work very hard to make these films.

[...] I want the movie to be as good as possible.

[…] Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't."

He bailed on Queen

In 2013, Cohen was set to play Freddie Mercury in an official bio-pic sanctioned by the surviving

members of the band Queen.

But when creative differences arose, Cohen called it quits.

In an interview with Howard Stern, Cohen talked about Queen's lead guitarist, who was also

the lead producer of the film, saying:

"Brian May is an amazing musician, but he's not a great movie producer."

"They are a band.

They want to protect their legacy as a band.

They wanted it to be about Queen, and I fully understand."

In an interview of own, May was less polite, saying:

"We had some nice times with Sacha kicking around ideas, but he went off and told untruths

about what happened.

[...] It's obvious that it wasn't going to work, him playing Freddie.

It wouldn't suspend your disbelief."

Diminishing returns

Since Cohen's breakout hit, Borat, each of his subsequent films made less money than

the one before.

His latest film, The Brothers Grimsby, was a flop, with an opening weekend gross of only

$3.2 million.

Sony's former distribution chief Rory Bruer told Variety:

"We certainly wanted more.

Sacha is amazing and we love him, and we tried to crack the code on it, but it just didn't

happen for us."

However, Cohen is still developing his own films.

In 2016, he was attached to an American remake of Klown, a Danish comedy, as well as a film

adaptation of the classic comic strip Mandrake the Magician.

Will he really be able to work his magic and get back in the spotlight?

Time will tell.

Why Trump's "limited strike" on Syria probably won't work - Duration: 5:36.

"My fellow Americans"

"At 7 o'clock this evening, eastern time,"

"I ordered our forces to launch a cruise missile attack"

"We targeted tanks, military assets that had been choking off towns and cities"

"It is a part of a strategy."

This is the first time President Trump authorized a "limited strike" on Syria.

"Tonight I ordered a targeted, military strike on the airfield in Syria,

from where the chemical attack was launched."

And this, almost exactly a year later, is the second time.

Both in Syria, both in response to chemical attacks.

"Precision strikes on targets associated

with the chemical weapons capabilities

of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad."

A limited strike can really be whatever the President wants it to be, could be an airstrike,

a plane flies over, hits a building, they could use ships and shoot missiles,

again at buildings or other kinds of targets.

It could be simply just dropping a bomb, one big bomb,

on one target like we did in Afghanistan

last year.

If big option is go to war, the small option is do nothing, there's a lot of space in between.

A limited strike is a fairly

good in-between option,

if a President wants to send a message but not commit vast resources.

It's low-cost, and relatively low-risk to american troops and

limited strikes are also relatively low risk politically: a President can get credit for

taking action, even if that action fails.

Which is likely why the past six U.S. Presidents

have all taken actions that could be defined as limited strikes.

In 1986, Ronald Reagan ordered a one night bombing raid in Libya

"Launched a series of strikes against the headquarters, terrorist facilities

and military assets that support Moammar Gaddafi's subversive activities."

To punish Moammar Gaddafi for an attack in Germany.

In 1993, George H.W. Bush destroyed an Iraqi industrial complex to compel Saddam Hussein

to cooperate with UN weapons inspectors.

"It was quick, it was decisive, and in the words of White House spokesman Marlin Fitzwater,

it was a "mission accomplished."

In 1995, Clinton used the limited strike option, in the hopes that airstrikes in Bosnia would

compel the Serbians to negotiate the end of the war.

"American pilots will continue to take to the skies over Bosnia."

And it ended later that year.

The presidents of Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia, have reached a peace agreement.

And In 2001, George W. Bush destroyed Iraqi air defenses to deter them from targeting

US planes.

Trump's first limited strike in April 2017 was intended

"to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons."

And his second use of a limited strike, in April 2018 was to

"establish a strong deterrent against the production, spread, and use of chemical weapons."

So, the first strike… didn't really work.

And the data confirms this.

After the 2017 strike, Assad continued to use chemical weapons.

Trump's limited strike failed to achieve its publicly stated goal.

So, how often do limited strikes even work?

A study by expert Micah Zenko looked at 36 instances of limited strikes, between 1991

and 2009.

He found that only 16 achieved their military goals; meaning the intended targets were destroyed.

And furthermore, he judged that 25 achieved "mixed-success" for their political goals

while only 2 were out-right successful on all counts.

That's only 6%.

In these instances; the strike had a clear, defined and measurable goal.

My fellow Americans

Take Clinton's strike in 1993 for example:

Where the goal was to punish the Iraqi government for attempting to kill George H.W. Bush.

There is compelling evidence that there was, in fact, a plot to assassinate former President Bush.

It was deemed a success because, well, they never tried it again.

Trump's first limited strike, on the other hand, damaged an airfield, but not Assad's

ability to use chemical weapons.

And that airfield was back up and running the following day.

Zenko found that in the cases that did not achieve full political success; the level

of force used was often incorrectly drawn up or insufficient to achieve the political

intent.

It's not that damaging an airfield had no effect at all on Assad's regime, it's

that it didn't produce the intended effect.

If you're interested in the bigger goal, that the Assad regime should stop using chemical weapons,

then the strikes last year did not work.

The April 2018 strike doubled the force and did focus on chemical weapons facilities,

But it's unclear what the long term results will be.

Politically, for Trump to use these strikes, because he

looks tough. He has done something, right?

There is an impulse in the United States to "do something",

anytime something bad happens

around the world.

That's what limited strikes ultimately are:

a way for the President to do... something.

Even if that something is only successful 6% of the time.

Day Trading LEVEL 2 EXPLAINED! SIMPLE! - Duration: 6:39.

what is level 2 and how can you use it when you're day trading talking about

level 2 order book and how it works breaking it down in the most simplest

easiest to understand terms in this video so stay tuned what's going on guys

so I'm getting a lot of questions people asking about level 2 it ok can you

explain level 2 I don't understand level 2 how do you read level 2 it's very

simple for me and it's hard sometimes really kind of think about like oh maybe

somebody doesn't understand what level 2 is what it means to read level 2 now one

thing I want you guys understand is level 2 can't be your friend and level 2

can also be your enemy level 2 can be highly manipulated the

level 2 order book can show orders that really don't exist so you need to be

careful you need to understand that sometimes people are manipulating the

price by using level 2 and what they do is they'll help flash a large sell order

or they'll flash a large bid and then take that bit away and crash the price

and I see this happen a lot a lot of times in the small caps people will do

this with level 2 they'll manipulate the price and they'll try to move the price

around by flashing these fake orders so right now we're looking here at BDR

you can see this chart over here you can see the time and sales and you can see

the level 2 here now when I say level 2 basically it's showing me the order book

there's a level 1 level 1 is basically showing the bid and the ask and you can

see here level 1 it's showing 125 is the bid and 126 is the ask the bid is what

somebody is willing to pay the ask is what somebody is wanting to be paid for

to sell their shares right now you can see it's showing arca and then the edge

network and these are gonna be different routes for different brokers and stuff

like that people will use different brokers and different routes so you'll

see the different routes here on the side is gonna be these four letters

they're showing 121 it's showing one there that one is showing the amount of

shares they're willing to pay for that price now let's say I don't want to show

my size let's say I want to sell and I want to sell it 123 but I only want to

show that I'm only selling 100 but I'm actually selling 1000 I can adjust that

in my montage so that only shows that I

have 100 shares for sale when someone's trying to buy they're gonna be like

something's weird here I'm trying to buy and it's not moving people will use

level 2 to move the price up and down I've seen it happen over and over where

someone's flashing a big bid on the buy side so let's say someone's putting a

big order out there for 120 and what happens is then people jump above that

big buyer trying to get in front of them trying to front run them and then you

start to get the price movement because people are trying to push the price up

because they're trying to buy in because they see that big buyer sitting then

they think oh there's a big buyer so that must mean the price is gonna go

higher and now the same thing happens on the sell side let's say somebody wants

manipulate the price they might flash a big sell order they're at 128 and what

happens Oh everybody who's trying to sell starts to move their price down

because they see that big sell order that doesn't mean that the actual sell

order is gonna go through doesn't even mean that's a real sell order it's just

somebody spoofing the price and just trying to manipulate the price by using

level 2 and we see this happen all the time so you need to be careful it's not

always gonna be exact if you see ok there's somebody selling 100 shares

they're at 124 that doesn't actually mean there's only 100 shares sitting

there a lot of times people like I said will hide their size so you can see

right now level 2 is showing that there's only 100 shares there well

people are buying the ask and it's not moving the amount of shares so again

it's very simple on the left side is gonna be the buyers on the right side is

gonna be the sellers when you put your order out there with a limit order you

will be on the left side now if you want to buy with a market order that means

you're gonna get filled on the ask so right now if I want to get a fill out a

thousand shares boom I would buy there with a market order and that would fill

me at a dollar 24 it would not show my order I'm basically just buying the

market the markets gonna be the ask to sell at 124 and someone's willing to buy

at 124 that's the market and so I'm gonna get filled at now if I want to get

filled at 122 I need to use a limit order because that means I don't want to

pay the market price which is gonna be 124 I don't want to pay that so I need

to put a limit order out there at 122 right below that trying to get filled on

a little bit of a dip or a little bit of a pullback because I don't want to pay

the full market price and you right now okay 120 is showing a lot of

selling pressure someone's buying there okay it gets eaten out now we're going

down again you're seeing level 2 then you're seeing the time of sales as this

is crashing you can see people removing their orders and then adjusting the

price there and doing stuff with the price as it was pulling down he saw that

big buyer sitting there at 118 well then all of a sudden he was gone again now

you see 122 we have a lot of selling pressure they're showing you know 3,000

shares for sale they're at $1 22 and that's pushing the price down because

people are sitting there $1 21 and that's kind of just like right in the

middle there battling okay who's gonna jump above this 121 and buy those shares

at $1 22 level 2 is just showing the orders that are out there limit orders

that are on the market on the order book right now on $1.00 21 someone's trying

to sell at $1 22 it's that simple and that easy

there's really nothing more to it but there is like I said a lot of little

weird things going on with level 2 we can see this a lot so you need to

understand that just because the level 2 looks like there's not much selling

pressure doesn't mean there's not a hidden seller doesn't mean that there's

not gonna be a big or just pop up out of nowhere

you got to remember everybody else is also looking at level 2 and people are

basing their trades off of that and they're also trying to manipulate the

price and you know they're trying to sell or trying to get out I'm trying to

show their size if someone's trying to push the price up they might be showing

more size and they're actually willing to buy so you need to understand that

this isn't always correct there's gonna be some weird things going on level 2

it's an art form there's people that are really really good at reading level 2

they're very fast to interpret what's going on and also over time you'll start

to realize hey this guy is not a real seller he's just trying to spoof he's

trying to move the price down or the same thing vice versa if there's a big

bid popping up it's kind of just sitting there large size if it's not really

moving that's someone trying to manipulate the price there it is level

to make sure you're using it you need to see what's going on level to the order

book and see kind of what is going on with the market and where people are

buying or people are selling out there it is

Oh

The Call of Faith to Be Made Whole - Duration: 23:32.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: The Bible tells us how faith calls things that be

not as though they were. What is your faith calling to you?

Today, Kenneth Copeland shares Bible examples of people who

sought after Jesus and received their miracles by faith.

KENNETH: Now remember, Capernaum is-- AUDIENCE: Home.

KENNETH: --home. Jesus left home, preached--had a

great home meeting, went across the lake to deliver

this man, and equipped him with the message of love. And

it is the message of love that casts out fear. (Audience

Agrees) Amen. I mean, Jesus just messed up the devil's whole

playground over there, man. Well, the other side of that

lake needed cleaning up. (Audience Agrees) Amen. Well,

wonder why He didn't go over there a month before that?

Wonder why He didn't--wonder how this man got that far along.

Wonder how they--hey, the Lord didn't lead Him over there.

AUDIENCE: That's right. KENNETH: "Well, why didn't He?" I don't

know. Ask Him. (Laughter) He'll talk to you about it just as

good as He would me. In fact, I never did ask Him. I don't

really care. (Laughter) He knows what He's doing. I'm following

Him. He's not following me. Aren't you glad of that? Glory

to God. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Oh, yeah. Thank You, Jesus. Now,

we're following Him, right? AUDIENCE: Amen. Yes. KENNETH:

Now, He goes back-- "when Jesus was passed over again by ship

unto the other side--" which was? AUDIENCE: Home. KENNETH:

Home. Amen? (Audience "Amens") He went over there and took care

of business that morning and went back across the way. He's

going home. After all, He was up most of the night messing around

out there in that--in that storm. He didn't get much sleep

trying to sleep in the back of that rocking boat. So He's going

back home. "And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the

synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, fell at his

feet--" Now, this man is ruler of the synagogue in Jesus'

hometown. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: Huh? They knew one

another very, very well. He ran up there. Something happened to

his daughter while Jesus is gone. So he's--he said, "Hey,

I know how to fix this." But you will notice this as

we track through these things--ha-ha-ha--I'll tell you

what, there was a crowd waiting on Him every time He came home.

They had--don't you know they had--they had people on--on

every road, every way into that--into the city of Capernaum

just looking for Him. They've got scouts out watching for when

Jesus comes home. Glory to God. Hallelujah. (Audience

"Hallelujahs") Now, he "besought him greatly, saying, My little

daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay

your hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live."

Jesus went with him. Ha-ha-ha. Jesus went with him. (Audience

"Amens") I said, "Jesus went with him." (Audience "Amens")

The call of faith. He went with him. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH:

"--and much people followed him, and thronged him. And a certain

woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had

suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all

that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

when she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched

his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I

shall be whole." Faith. "I will be." What did Jairus say? "She

will live." Faith is speaking here. Yeah, okay, Lord. Yeah,

I'll do that. Now, you would agree with me that that word

"whole" right there, "I shall be whole," is talking about her

physical body? It's not talk--it's not--it's not being

used to draw attention to her spirit at all. It is talking

about the healing of her physical body. AUDIENCE: Amen.

KENNETH: Amen? (Audience "Amens") I want you to look with

me--hold your place there. We're coming right back. This is just

a little--little side journey here. Romans 10:9, "If thou

shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in

thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be

saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;

with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Would you

agree with me that that's not talking about the healing of the

physical body? That's talking about the new birth and

recreation of the human spirit. (Audience Agrees) Amen? Did you

know both--the same word was translated "whole," talking

about the woman's body, is translated "whole," speaking

about the rebirth of the human spirit. (Audience Agrees) Hey,

you--hey, you should have shouted right then. (Cheers)

That means God was just as interested in--at Calvary--on

your body as He was your spirit. (Cheers) Amen! (Audience

"Amens") And it--and it also includes your financial

wholeness. (Audience "Amens") Because that word "sozo" covers

the whole spectrum of human condition. (Audience Agrees) Oh,

I tell you, this is good news. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: And you

can see it. You can see what Jesus said to that woman after

she told her story, that--let's go ahead and--Jesus said--

"Straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt

in her body that she was healed of that plague." She didn't feel

it then believe it. She believed it then felt it. (Audience

Agrees) Amen? (Audience "Amens") "Jesus, immediately knowing in

himself that virtue," or dunamis had--power, power, healing power

in this case "--had gone out of him, turned him about in the

press, and said, Who touched my clothes? His disciples said to

him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou,

Who touched me? And he looked around about to see her that had

done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing

what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told

him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith

hath made thee--" AUDIENCE: Whole. KENNETH: "--whole." Now

whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold it. Back up. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH:

She had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent

all that she had. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: Now she's financially

wiped out. All that she had is gone. Jesus said, "Daughter,

your faith made you whole." AUDIENCE: Amen! Amen. KENNETH:

Amen. (Audience "Amens") See, "sozo" covered that. (Audience

Agrees) Sound, complete. Ha-ha-ha. Hallelujah. Oh, I tell

you, that just-- I don't know, that shoots a thrill through me.

Praise God. That's just absolutely wonderful. Now then,

"Thy faith hath made thee whole." "Well, now, wait a

minute, Brother Copeland. He said, 'Knowing that power had

gone out of him.'" "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with

the Holy Ghost and power," same word, "dunamis," "who went about

healing all oppressed of the devil" and so forth. "Yeah, but

Brother Copeland, it was that power that did it." Well, now,

was it? AUDIENCE: Faith. KENNETH: Jesus didn't say,

"Daughter, my anointing has made you whole." Let me give you--let

me give you a--just a little, simple concept. Here is a large

piece of steel, and here is a magnet. Now, the magnet is

headed toward that steel. It wasn't the steel that did the

work. It was the magnet. (Audience Agrees) And the

smallest little ole' magnet there is-- AUDIENCE: Yes, sir.

That's right. KENNETH: --will stick. It doesn't take a great

big one. AUDIENCE: No. KENNETH: It doesn't take this huge--ooh,

this gigantic faith. No, it don't. It takes a grain of

mustard seed. AUDIENCE: Hallelujah. That's good. That's

real good. Wow. KENNETH: Hallelujah! (Audience

"Hallelujahs") I thought you'd like that. Glory to God. I liked

that myself. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH: Thank You, Lord Jesus.

Praise God. Amen. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, thank You, Lord

Jesus. "While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the

synagogue's house certain which said, Your daughter's dead: why

troublest thou the Master any further? As soon as Jesus heard

the word that was spoken, he saith to the ruler of the

synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe." Now, in Luke, Chapter

8, in Dr. Luke's account, he said that Jesus said this: "Fear

not," or "Stop the fear," "believe only--" AUDIENCE: Yes.

KENNETH: "--and she shall be made--" AUDIENCE: Whole.

KENNETH: "--whole." AUDIENCE: Amen! KENNETH: There it is

again. "She shall be made whole." Hey, that is a spiritual

law. Stop the fear. Believe only, and you will be made

whole. (Audience Agrees) Amen. (Audience "Amens") Thank You,

Lord. Ha-ha-ha-ha. Thank You, Lord Jesus. So now, "He suffered

no man to follow him except Peter, and James, John the

brother of James. He cometh to the house of the ruler of the

synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed

greatly. And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make

ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but

sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put

them all out, he taketh the ruler--taketh the father and the

mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth

in where the damsel was lying. Took her by the hand, and said

unto her, Talitha, cumi; which is, being interpreted--" Now,

listen to this. He's using His faith. "Oh, Brother Copeland,

this is Jesus." I know it. And the Bible said, "He perfectly

pleased the Father." You can't please God without faith.

(Audience Agrees) God does nothing apart from a seed. He

does nothing apart from His Word. He does nothing apart from

faith. And He does everything because He loves you. (Audience

"Amens") Hallelujah. (Audience "Hallelujahs") Thank You, Jesus.

Now then--ha-ha--He used His words, saying, "Daughter, I say

unto you, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked;

she was the age of 12 years. And they were astonished with a

great astonishment." Now then, let's pick up in the 9th chapter

of Matthew. We know where we are, Matthew 9, Verse 24,

"Give place: for the maid is not dead...They laughed him to

scorn." And Verse 27, "Jesus departed there." I wanted you to

see this now. "When the people were put forth, he went in...and

the maid arose." Now Verse 27, "When Jesus departed there, two

blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David--"

Now, what did they say to Him when they called Him "Son of

David?" AUDIENCE: Messiah. KENNETH: Messiah. Notice that.

Make note of that. Anytime you see anybody reaching to Jesus

and called him "Son of David," you know they believed He was

the anointed One. They believed He was Messiah. So now, they

said, "Son of David, have mercy on us." Are you ready? Look at

Verse 28. "And when he was come into the house--" (Indistinct

Responses) He's-- AUDIENCE: Home. KENNETH: --home. He's

right there next door to Jairus. Are you loving this or what?

(Audience Agrees) (Laughs) Hallelujah! (Audience

"Hallelujahs") He's in the house. The blind man came in to

Him. I mean, they just came right on in His house. Praise

God. Amen. Oh. And Jesus said, "Believe you I'm able to do

this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. He touched their eyes

saying, According to your faith be it done unto you." AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: "According to your--" AUDIENCE: Faith.

KENNETH: "--faith be it done unto you." Now--ha--how much

time is left? Yeah, I got time enough right here to introduce

this to you. Look in John, Chapter 6, please. "After these

things, Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of

Tiberias. And a great multitude followed him, because they saw

the miracles which he did on them that were diseased. Jesus

went into a--up into a mountain, and...and then he said to

Philip, Where are we going to get the bread," money to feed

the--"bread to feed these people?" He said, "I don't

know." And then they went on down and they brought the lad in

there, and they made the men sit down, and Jesus--Jesus gave

thanks, and then they fed everybody. I mean, this is a

long day, right? (Laughter) So then--and then they were all

filled, and they gathered up the fragments. And before they

gathered them--(Mumbling) (Laughter) The men had seen the

miracle that He did and said, "This is of a truth that prophet

that should come into the world. When Jesus therefore perceived

that they would come and take him by force, make him a king,

departed again into a mountain himself alone. And when evening

was now come--" long day. AUDIENCE: Long day. KENNETH:

"--evening was now come, his disciples went unto the sea, and

entered into a ship, and went over the sea towards Capernaum."

AUDIENCE: Home. KENNETH: They're going home. AUDIENCE: (Claps)

KENNETH: They've been out there all day. AUDIENCE: Yes. KENNETH:

Ha-ha-ha. "Jesus was not come to them. And the sea arose by

reason of a great wind that blew. And when they had rowed

about five and twenty, or thirty furlongs--" three miles, three

miles "--they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh

unto the ship: and they were afraid. But he said unto them,

It is I; be not afraid. Then they willingly received him into

the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land where they

went." Now, where are they going? AUDIENCE: Home. KENNETH:

The man wanted to get home and get in his own bed. (Laughter)

Well, you tell me. It couldn't be because He's trying to prove

something to say nobody saw it. It was in the middle of

the night. (Audience Agrees) AUDIENCE: That's right, that's

right. Amen. KENNETH: "I don't want to sit out here and have to

sleep in this boat again tonight!" Ha-ha-ha-ha. Well,

they rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed. These

people are tired. "I'm tired. I'm going home." Kkkk! Man.

(Laughter) "Let's get this thing out of here." Glory to God. I

know how He feels. (Laughter) I've been there, brother. I just

never could get my boat to go that fast. (Laughter) I thought

I really had something when I was flying my little 180

mile-an-hour airplane going home at night. It took half of the

night, but I was in my bed. Glory to God. AUDIENCE: Yes.

KENNETH: Amen. And then got blessed with a jet. Think of--

AUDIENCE: Amen. (Cheers & Applause) KENNETH: And that jet

was twice as fast as that other airplane. But it's still slow.

So the Lord finally blessed us with a Citation X, the fastest

jet in the country. And it's still way slower than that.

Ha-ha-ha-ha! Amen. Now, I'd have to be coming in the 10 from

Dallas to Fort Worth to be anywhere close to that fact, and

still wouldn't make it. This gives me and blesses me--

AUDIENCE: Amen. Hallelujah. Praise God. KENNETH: --into an

intimate place with Jesus. AUDIENCE: Hallelujah.

Hallelujah. KENNETH: Amen. (Audience "Amens") I see Him,

and I--I tap into His--His feelings. AUDIENCE: That's

great. KENNETH: And--and I know then He knows how I feel.

AUDIENCE: Praise God. KENNETH: He knows how you feel. AUDIENCE:

Amen. KENNETH: And if you'll give Him a chance--thank You,

Lord. If you'll let Him in the boat, He'll get you there quick.

(Audience Agrees) (Cheers & Applause) Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!

Glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory, glory. Come on,

let's praise God here. Let's just praise Him for a few

moments and just worship Him. Glory to God. Thank You, Lord.

Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Lord, for revealing these things

to us. And--and we know that on His heart and on His mind was

not Himself that night. Of course, He wanted to get home.

But these guys had worked night and day, and they--they did any

and everything He said to the very best they knew how to do

it. And He needed to get them home and get them in their--with

their families. AUDIENCE: Amen. KENNETH: Amen. (Audience

"Amens") Instead of being out there in the middle of the

night. Because--you know, I never had thought about this

before. He was not the one that had to row that boat. They did.

That's Jesus. Come on, just bless Him and--oh,

thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord.

Understanding Limits and L'Hospital's Rule - Duration: 9:12.

It's Professor Dave, let's discuss L'Hospital's Rule.

Over the past few tutorials we've learned all about differentiation and its applications.

With differential calculus more or less wrapped up, it is just about time to move on to integral

calculus, but before that, let's revisit limits for a moment.

When examining these, we saw that we ran into problems when trying to evaluate limits for

functions where both the numerator and denominator approached zero.

This limit is indeterminate, meaning we just don't know what it's doing.

Zero over anything is zero, but anything over zero is undefined, so we just can't interpret

this result.

Luckily there is a rule we can apply in such a case.

This is called L'Hospital's rule.

This rule works as follows.

Say we have some expression in the form of f of x over g of x, and we are interested

in the limit as x approaches some value, A. If both of these functions are differentiable,

and both of them approach zero as x approaches A, this indeterminate form can be evaluated

if we take the derivative of each function.

In other words, the limit of f of x over g of x as x approaches A is equal to the limit

of f prime of x over g prime of x as x approaches A.

Let's apply this to one of the functions we looked at when we first learned about limits.

If we look at sine of x over x, and we want to know what happens as x approaches zero,

it seems impossible, as both sine of x and x approach zero as x approaches zero.

But using this rule, let's just take the derivative of the top and bottom.

Sine x becomes cosine x, and x becomes one.

Now let's just find the limit of cosine x as x approaches zero.

The cosine of zero is one, so this limit equals one.

We got this answer previously, by plugging values into the function and seeing what happened

as we got closer and closer to one, but I think everyone would agree that using L'Hospital's

rule got us to the answer much faster.

Let's try a couple more for practice.

How about the limit of e to the x over x cubed, as x approaches infinity?

Now this one doesn't give us zero over zero, it gives us infinity over infinity, which

is still an indeterminate form, so let's use L'Hospital's rule.

Taking the derivative of the top, this will remain e to the x.

Taking the derivative of the bottom we get three x squared.

This is still infinity over infinity unfortunately.

But here's a great thing about this rule, why not just take the derivative again?

If the limit of the quotient of the functions is the same as the limit of the quotient of

the derivatives, then this truth will hold no matter how many times we take the derivative.

We go again, and e to the x stays as it is again, while on the bottom we get six x.

This is still infinity over infinity, so let's go one more time.

We get e to the x over six, and finally we can see that this will simply be infinity.

Remember, this rule only applies to limits of indeterminate form, so zero over zero,

or some kind of infinity over some kind of infinity.

If either the numerator or denominator is not one of these, we can't use the rule,

so always check for that first.

For example, take something like x plus sine x over x plus cosine x.

We could be tempted to use the rule, but we must note that while the numerator goes to

zero, since sine of zero is zero, the denominator actually goes to one, because cosine of zero is one.

That means zero over one, which is zero, and we did not have to use L'Hospital's rule

to get there.

In fact, if we were to use the rule here, we would actually get an incorrect answer,

as we must have an indeterminate form for the rule to work.

Lastly let's look at some slightly different forms of the rule.

Say we have an indeterminate product, or the limit of a product of functions where one

goes to zero and the other goes to positive or negative infinity.

Again, we can't directly determine what is going on here.

In such a case, we can rewrite FG as either F over (one over G) or G over (one over F).

Now we have a form for which we can apply the rule that we already know.

For example, take x times the natural log of x, as x approaches zero from the positive direction.

Naturally, x approaches zero, but the natural log of x will approach negative infinity.

Well let's write this as one function over the reciprocal of the other.

How about natural log of x over (one over x).

Now we can take the derivatives.

Natural log of x becomes one over x, and x to the negative one becomes negative x to

the negative two.

Let's multiply the numerator by the reciprocal of the denominator, and we simply get negative

x, so the limit must equal zero.

We can do something similar with indeterminate differences.

If the limit of a difference of functions gives infinity minus infinity, it is impossible

to know which infinity wins, to give infinity or zero as a result.

But depending on the functions, we can do algebra to convert this into a quotient, whether

by trigonometric identities or by getting a common denominator, so that we can apply

L'Hospital.

Lastly, we can also have indeterminate powers.

That's when a function is raised to the power of another function, and we end up with

something difficult to interpret.

This includes zero to the zero, infinity to the zero, or one to the infinity.

In such cases, we can set the expression equal to y and take the natural log of both sides,

so that natural log of y equals natural log of this expression.

This allows us to bring the exponent down here to the front.

Then, so that we have just y instead of LN y, let's realize that by the definition

of logs, y must equal e to the power of all this.

When we take the limit of this, we may now be able to evaluate it.

For example, how about x to the x power as x approaches zero from the positive direction.

This would give us zero to the zero, which is no good.

But if we do the steps outlined a moment ago, we end up with e raised to the power of the

quantity (x times natural log of x).

In the previous example, we showed that x times the natural log of x goes to zero as

x approaches zero from the positive direction, so this limit becomes e to the zero, which is one.

So with that, we now understand L'Hospital's rule, and we have come full circle with limits

and differentiation.

We are now truly ready to move on to the other side of the calculus coin, which is integration,

but first, let's check comprehension.

G-Force, Jerk, and Passing Out In A Centrifuge - Duration: 4:49.

- This is the Royal Air Force training centrifuge at Farnborough.

And the team here are going to push me

as far as they're allowed to push a civilian.

- The centrifuge has been here since 1955.

The device was originally installed for research purposes,

although these days it's used for training as much as it is for research.

What it does is recreate the forces that you feel in an aircraft.

For our routine pilot training, the first time pilots go on the centrifuge,

we expect them to get up to 5g without a g-suit,

and then up to 7g with an anti-g-suit.

- Now I'm not taking a significant risk here.

I'm healthy, I've pulled a few gs before.

And the human body can take this.

And the reason we know that is because in the 1950s,

the US Air Force used rocket sleds to push volunteers to incredible speeds.

But that rocket-powered acceleration wasn't the dangerous,

or even the really high-g part of the test.

See, high-g acceleration takes a lot of incredibly expensive rockets

or a big ol' centrifuge like this.

But high-g deceleration?

All you need for that is a wall.

Or for something less destructive, like the rocket sleds,

you use scoops dropped down into a water trough.

USAF flight surgeon John Stapp,

aboard the rocket sled Sonic Wind Number One,

holds the record for the highest sustained g-force

anyone has ever voluntarily endured,

25g for 1.1 seconds, with a brief peak over 46g.

And he was badly injured, but he survived

and he recovered and he lived to the age of 89.

The human body is an incredible thing

particularly because we didn't evolve for this.

- G-tolerance is something that's innate in all of us.

Some of us have high G-tolerance. Some of us have low G-tolerance.

Over the years, people's g-tolerance doesn't really adapt.

Any shortfall in g-tolerance has really got to be made up

by physical exertion and the g-straining manoeuvre.

- What this centrifuge doesn't have is much jerk.

And jerk is a technical term.

In the same way that acceleration is the rate of change of speed,

jerk is the rate of change of acceleration.

And because it takes time to spin up and spin down...

Oh, here we go! Even though the acceleration is high,

the jerk here is relatively low, about 1g per second.

Jerk is the difference between a rocket to space

which might take a couple of minutes to reach peak acceleration

and a fighter jet, where manoeuvres might change the G force acting on you

in a fraction of a second.

And it can go further than that.

You can measure the rate of change of jerk which is called snap or jounce.

The two derivatives after that are called crackle and pop but

they're not all that useful in the real world.

- As we increase the G that Tom is exposed to,

the blood's going to be pushed down into his feet,

and he's going to have to work really hard to push that blood back up

to feed oxygen to his brain to keep him conscious.

And in real life, we would be expecting that person to be flying an aircraft whilst doing that.

- I'm getting a little bit of grey-out.

I can't quite see. Agh.

- We teach the anti-g straining manoeuvre which composes of two separate parts.

First of all, muscle tensing,

so both the buttocks and legs squeezing the blood vessels

to try and get the blood back up into the chest and the head.

But also the second part is a breathing manoeuvre

which increases the strain in the chest

directly increasing the blood pressure to the great vessels in the chest

and keeping him conscious.

And when you lose blood pressure to your head,

you could even lose consciousness.

And we term that g-induced loss of consciousness or G-LOC.

[gasping]

- Blimey!

I lost everything there.

Wow.

- G-LOC in itself is not dangerous.

But the real point is when you G-LOC you're flying an aircraft.

So if you're not able to fly that aircraft,

I'm sure you can appreciate that that is a real problem.

- Because of John Stapp and all the volunteers like him

that rode the rocket sleds,

there is a lot of research

into acceleration on the human body.

How many gs can be withstood for minutes at a time?

How many gs can be withstood for brief moments?

And how many can be withstood with training that I clearly don't have.

Rocket scientists and roller coaster designers use that data.

But there's not much research into jerk

because how do you test it without also testing acceleration?

Over on the Starrship channel, I am not passing out

pulling gs with the Blades aerobatic team(!)

And as for this video, thank you so much

to all the team at the RAF Centre of Aviation Medicine,

to the team at Qinetiq, and to the team at Starrship.

Why is Yawning Contagious ? - Duration: 2:35.

You weren't feeling so sleepy until you looked across a crowded chemistry class and

saw one of your studious peers yawning.

Before you know it, you're doing the same thing.

This ancient autonomic response, as neuroscientists would describe it, is hardwired into us – but

why?

Yawning can be triggered by boredom, sleepiness, and even temperature.

Due to the mirror neurons we have in our brains, a yawn can also be triggered just be watching

someone else do it.

Some people with autism or schizophrenia don't exhibit a yawn-contagion response, but that

is likely because their emotional responses don't trigger as most of ours do.

The brain's mirror neuron system is one of empathy.

When someone else yawns, we may just be yawning along with them to cue social compassion.

Other research suggests that our brains yawn when we are preparing for "fight or flight."

A yawn may be an evolutionary shortcut to ready our brains for action.

More likely, though, just like laughter, contagious yawning may have developed as an evolutionary

trait because it makes us feel good.

The action of opening your jaws and sucking in a big gulp of air relaxes the body and

floods the brain with extra oxygen, but it does more than that.

Yawning when other people yawn may signal unselfconsciousness, and a relaxed state,

the same way that laughing at someone's joke makes them feel loved and included.

So – are you yawning because you're bored, tired, or gearing up for a stressful event,

OR, are you yawning to let your peers know that yea, this chemistry class is a bore,

but hey, we can all meet up later for a brew, and everything will be just fine.

Your yawn might simply be an evolutionary form of body language signaling that all is

right with the world.

So yawn away!

Can Cars Be Art? | WheelHouse - Duration: 6:15.

cars and art have a complicated relationship art inspires automotive

design and in turn these designs inspire art the two worlds are intertwined but

that begs the question can cars be art? I'll be the first to admit I don't know

a lot about art it's intimidating you can find yourself way out of your depth

if you don't know the context in which the piece was made and that's not

exclusive to fine art that's music, film, sculpting, writing, high fashion and

episodes of up to speed defining art is something people have been trying to

do for centuries and depending on when you're from you're gonna have a

different idea of what it is until around the 18th century artists were

striving to represent what was real and to do it in the most realistic way

possible they kind of perfected that and the expressionist movement that followed

was about expressing feelings stuff that doesn't have a tangible representation I

bring that up because the expressionists felt art was anything created with the

intent to make you feel an idea a lot of people have is that art can't be

practical that it can't serve any other purpose other than itself and since cars

have a function transportation then it can be argued that they can't be art

because of that art and design were considered two separate fields but that

all changed at this place the Bauhaus school of functional design back in 1919

Germany the Bauhaus believed in uniting art design and technology they wanted

creativity to go hand in hand with manufacturing Bauhaus artists were

afraid of art losing its place in society and sought to bring it back by

making things you see every day beautiful take the ordinary wooden chair

kind of boring right well the Bauhaus students thought so too

the wooden chair wasn't artful, it took craftsmanship to build sure but the end

result existed just to be sat on, so the Bauhaus came up with the cantilever and

vasiliy chairs you can sit on these too but the design evoke a sense of

modernity and progress the Bauhaus made the chair say something

but this isn't about chairs, it's about cars the first cars were not

great-looking but as the car got more popular and became a status symbol they

needed to look good and that's when the artistry came in just look at this 1932

Alfa Romeo six see it's got utilitarian fenders headlights and running boards

that all serve a purpose like the cars of the 1900s but they're done in such a way

where you think damn that's a good-looking car you can feel the

passion put in to building it, almost as if it was done by about how its artists it

wasn't but you get the idea if you have to have these features you might as well

make them look good fine art is a great comparison to the world of collector

cars people like Ralph Lauren and Jay Leno collect cars the same way people

collect Monet or Goya paintings these super valuable cars are highly

collectible because like those paintings these cars are exceedingly rare take

ralph lauren's bugatti type 57s sea atlantic a car he calls the most

beautiful thing in the world only three or four of these things were ever built

depending on who you ask and if Mr. Lauren ever decided to sell it

the Bugatti would probably go for around fifty million dollars but the Bugatti

and other collector cars don't sell for millions just because they're rare or

especially pretty that's a big part of it of course but like the paintings it's

about who built the car and why that makes him so special cars like the 1962

Ferrari 250 GTO it was designed to beat rivals like the Jaguar e-type and Aston

Martin DP two 12, to do that it's designer sculpted the body panels by hand and

tested the shapes in a windtunnel the car was built like craftsman with an

expressed purpose to win and it did a bunch the 250 GTO won its class at Le Mans

twice in a row and racked up victories all over the world it's a badass Ferrari

built at the height of Ferraris Ferrari Ness it's basically their David

this particular 250 GTO set an auction record

selling for over 38 million proving that like paintings people will pay a

high price for car with a serious heritage 38 million doesn't remotely

compare to the most expensive painting ever sold, Da Vinci's Salvator Mundi

this masterwork sold for over 450 million dollars last year will we ever

see a Ferrari go for that much it's possible I'd give it a few hundred years

south door Mundi was painted over five centuries ago but just because something

is rare and expensive doesn't make it art does it mm not really

collectors might treat their cars like frescoes but that's not a good enough

justification that called cars art not yet so if the ideas of functional art

and collectability let the car flirt with artistry, then there's one aspect

about them that I think really pushes the car into real art territory and

that's emotion art has always been about conveying the human experience and

expressing it through different mediums the first art drawn in caves was an

expression of what early man was experiencing I think that in an

expressionist sense cars might be the ultimate art piece yeah they're

functional but like Bauhaus taught us function can and should have form just

look at your favorite car what do you feel when you see it is it a Ferrari

hell is it red that evokes an emotion it might be lust might be love maybe it's

something else that's indescribable and in Ferraris case that's exactly what

they want you to feel when you see one of their cars

oh but Nolan a Ferrari can't be art because a company made it there's no

single artist bullshit tons of artists had assistants that help them produce

their work Andy Warhol did it and that pretty much makes it okay so the

expressionist thought that art is anything that makes you feel and the

Bauhaus guys believe that things that did a job could also be part that's a

car remember to hit that subscribe button

the more subscribers we get the more cool stuff we get to make with you

you're the reason we do this and sincerely thank you for the support so

what do you think our cars art what do you think is the most beautiful car in

the world I like the Alfa Romeo stardoll a 33 and

Ferrari 330 p4 those a lot cars pretty sweet if you want to know more about

Smart Casual Dress Code Explained - What To Wear With Style For Men & What Not - Gentleman' Gazette - Duration: 11:01.

Welcome back to the gentleman's Gazette and our series about dress codes.

Today, we discuss smart casual, what it means, what the dos are, what the don'ts are, so

you don't show up in a hoodie with a dress shirt.

Even 20 years ago, dress codes were much more defined and people clearly understood what

they meant, however, in recent years, fashion and clothes have become more casualized and

because of that, new dress codes have evolved.

The term casual today can be anything from gym clothes or athleisure, all the way up

to something that's office appropriate such as a dress shirt and chinos.

Now obviously, there is a big disconnect and just having the casual dress code is no longer

enough.

So if you get an invitation with a dress code smart casual, I hear your pain.

You really don't know exactly what to wear so we'll help you out, we will define what

smart casual is, what it's not, the historic background, as well as the do's and don'ts.

So what exactly is smart casual?

Historically, the term was coined because people showed up overly casual and the smart

implied that you can't show up with joggers and trainers.

If you look at the urban dictionary, it defines smart casual as a nonsensical dress code that

people slap on to events, parties, and workplaces.

Completely down to interpretation, this always causes confusion and often spectacular results.

The mixture between smart and casual should not be taken literally.

So while it's hilarious, sadly, it's not very helpful.

So here is our definition of smart casual.

First, the urban dictionary got it right by saying don't take it literally.

That means, don't wear tennis shoes with a dress shirt, or combine sweatpants with a

blazer.

So in a nutshell, smart casual is not about mixing different pieces of clothing from different

degrees of formality but rather to pick something that is in between a very casual outfit and

a formal or businesslike outfit.

A hoodie would be too casual and pleated wool dress pants would be too formal, instead,

if you go with chinos, they are less formal, as well as a polo shirt, you hit that perfect

sweet spot of smart casual.

Personally, I like the idea of a smart casual dress code because it allows you to use lots

of colors and to combine different things that you may not have combined otherwise.

Ideally, you always want to avoid looks at the extreme end of the spectrum, that means

no jeans, no trainers, no hoodies, or no sweatpants.

At the same time, it also means no neckwear, no suits, no pleated pants, and no black dress

shoes.

So where do you usually encounter the smart casual dress code?

It's not at the office because there are different terms such as business casual and to learn

more about that, you can check out our video here

You can usually find smart casual dress codes in a social environment such as cruise ships,

restaurants, or resorts.

The whole idea is to look neat and presentable without being overly stuffy.

So let's say you work in a white-collar office and you have an invitation to a smart casual

event afterwards and you usually wear dress shirts, ties, and pinstripe suits, you definitely

want to bring a change of clothes.

If you're a bit more flexible at the office, you can get away with wearing a blazer and

chinos for example, as well as a tie, but when you go to the smart casual party, I suggest

to take off the tie, add a bold pocket square, maybe a boutonniere, have some bolder socks

and shoes and brown tones or more colors such as dark red, dark green, or navy, and it just

creates a more fun outfit that is not as boring or stuffy formal as you would usually know

from an office environment.

So if you're unsure whether you should dress up a little more or dress down, I suggest

you always dress up because that way, you don't embarrass yourself.

Of course, always stay within that smart casual range which means below business wear.

Now that we defined the broad range of smart casual, let's talk about specific items you

can wear.

On the formal side would be an odd jacket or a blazer.

Odd jacket meaning it has a bolder pattern, another color, and it doesn't match the pants.

You don't want to wear a suit, a combination at most.

Also, that means, don't wear orphaned suit jackets from your pinstripe suit with a Nantucket

red pair of pants because it's simply odd and doesn't work together.

Of course, if you want to be more casual with your jacket choice, you can absolutely do

that.

You could go with a Harrington jacket in cotton, maybe a linen jacket such as this green one,

I would even argue you could wear a bomber jacket or maybe a leather jacket if that suits

the overall outfit.

When it comes to shirts, you should definitely stay clear of t-shirts but you can wear dress

shirts.

That being said, I suggest not to wear plain white or solid light blue dress shirts because

they're true business formal.

Instead, go with checked shirts maybe in a collar such as the green one I'm wearing here

right now.

You can also go with other checks and other colors may be bolder checks, smaller checks

may be a small houndstooth or a bold stripe.

It all works, just make sure there's some contrast, there's some color, and it's not

too stiff.

If you live in a warmer climate, linen shirts are perfectly fine.

Personally, I would always stay clear of short-sleeved dress shirts and instead go with polo shirts

because it's more natural and works better.

To learn more about polo shirts, how to wear them, what not to do, please check out this

in-depth guide series here.

When it comes to pants or slacks, don't wear jeans and don't wear pleated pants made out

of worsted wool because that's office wear and both of them are too extreme.

Instead, go with chinos, may be corduroys in the winter, seersucker or linen in the

summer, or something with a bit more texture that's interesting and it could also have

a pattern such as a small houndstooth for example.

When it comes to accessories, color is your friend.

You can be much bolder than at the office and you can experiment and simply have fun.

I suggest you skip bowties and regular neckties.

if you want to have something around your neck, maybe an ascot can be the perfect item.

To learn more how to tie it properly so you look perfect in smart casual, please check

out this video here.

If you decide to wear a blazer or an odd jacket, I strongly recommend you wear a bold pocket

square or maybe a boutonniere that is just contrasting, it's a pop of color, it's different,

and it's fun.

Definitely, avoid the white linen pocket square in TV fold, that's fine for a job interview

or the office but not for smart casual.

Another way I like to spice up smart casual outfits is to use colorful socks.

You could be bolder, you can experiment, you can go really out there, or you can be a little

more subdued.

Personally, I want a subdued side and for a full range of colorful socks that are tasteful

as well as pocket squares and boutonnieres please head over to our shop and check it

out there.

Iff it's cold outside and you need some gloves, I suggest to go with fun colors such as dark

green, maybe a light tan, blue, or red, and stay clear of the traditional black gloves,

or just boring Brown gloves.

That being said, if you want to stick with those colors, make sure you get two-toned

gloves such as these black and red gloves by Fort Belvedere or the brown and blue gloves

which are definitely not your Grandpa's gloves.

When it comes to shoes, I suggest you stay with leather shoes.

They can have a leather sole or a rubber sole but they must not be black because that's

too formal.

Instead, go with brown tones or tans but you can also venture into green, maybe off-white,

or dark burgundy red.

All these colors are acceptable but I urge you to choose a style that is more casual

with more casual details.

As such, spectators work.

You can go with woven leather, or maybe a linen insert, suede is also good.

Just get something that's more casual than a traditional business shoe.

That being said, Derbies are more appropriate than Oxfords but there are oxfords that would

be just fine for smart casual as long as they are not too dark and they have maybe a full

brogue pattern.

Apart from that, I think two tone tassel loafers are great or maybe just regular penny loafers,

some people even like driving moccs even though I think they wear very quickly if you wear

them on a daily basis but they work from a concept point of view.

On a very casual end, I suggest shoes go with boat shoes because they are still leather

and they're still relaxed and you can even wear them barefoot.

While it's clear that tennis shoes and trainers are too casual, a lot of people like designer

sneakers or leather sneakers and in my opinion, they're in a gray area personally, I wouldn't

wear it because I find it too casual but I know other people who would probably find

a sneaker still appropriate.

At the end of the day, it's your call.

Personally, I'd always urge you to get a little bit more formal within the smart casual dress

code because that way, you always look dapper and properly attired.

No one will turn you down, everyone will respect you, and they will know that you understood

the smart casual dress code.

series.

In any case, give us a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel so videos like this come right

In today's video, I am wearing a smart casual outfit that I could wear during the colder

days of the year.

It consists of a heavy knit cardigan however it's a lighter color which is about off white

or beige I paired with a green long-sleeved dress shirt that is checked with white which

breaks up the monotony of the solid cardigan I'm pairing it with navy corduroy pants and

contrasting chukka boots that go well with my cardigan that way the overall outfit is

tied together for my socks I opted for green and brown shadow striped socks so the green

pick up the color of my shirt and the brown pick up the color of the shoe sole thus tying

everything in my outfit well together if it was colder outside I'd wear this green duffle

coat but because it's so bright I would opt for more muted colors for my gloves such as

a petrol blue and maybe a dark red and dark blue double sided scarf from Fort Belvedere

booked in a Casket Match against Rusev.

Those Saudis are getting to see everyone wrestle!

Unless you're a woman.

But then, the following day, Rusev was pulled from the Undertaker match and replaced with

Y2J.

This came after a TMZ interview where Rusev said the Deadman's time had passed, which

Taker's real-life wife Michelle McCool took offence to, and then revealed her taking offence

was all a work, brother.

Rusev then sadly tweeted about being replaced in the match, and removed all references to

WWE from his Twitter bio.

This, of course, sparked speculation that Rusev had fallen out with the promotion, following

PWInsider's uncorroborated rumor that he asked for his release at the start of March.

Bryan Alvarez has now revealed, though, that it is all a work, brother:

"There is no scandal involving Rusev, it is all storyline.

Rusev is no longer in the match with The Undertaker.

He's been replaced by Chris Jericho.

They ran some goofy stuff on social media to get people talking – which they did.

Rusev, I believe, is going to be in The Greatest Royal Rumble, so he's still on the show.

The point is that Rusev is not quitting.

He's not leaving.

He's not getting fired.

Nothing like that.

They just decided Jericho vs Undertaker would be a better match even though they announced

Rusev vs Undertaker before they figured that out."

But there's still a chance for Rusev to have a big-time featured singles match on

the show if WWE take 90s child actor star Macaulay Culkin up on his offer:

BREAKING NEWS: I am officially challenging @RusevBUL to a 'Lawrence of Arabia Basket

Match'.

Come at me, bro!

Rusev is seemingly still shooting that work, brother, on social media, though, cryptically

posting on an Instagram post from his Rusev Day singer Aiden English: "gonna miss you

bud!"

This could be in relation to Rusev pretending that he's leaving WWE, but it's also prompted

speculation the two could be split up in tonight's Superstar Shake-Up.

And they wouldn't be the only couple to get broken up...

John Cena & Nikki Bella Break Up ...as John Cena and Nikki Bella have drafted

themselves to separate, romantically single brands.

I'm saying they've broken up.

Just over a year after Cena proposed to Nikki at WrestleMania 33, John posted the short

Walt Whitman poem "we were together.

I forget the rest."

on his Instagram page, and then the couple revealed their split in a statement to Us

Weekly: "While this decision was a difficult one,

we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another.

We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives."

A statement that Nikki has also posted on her Instagram, confirming the news.

This better not be a work too, brother...and sister.

Nikki and John have been together since 2012, marking the end of a six year relationship.

U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley Just Sent Warning To Assad We're Not Done - Duration: 5:17.

U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley Just Sent Warning To Assad We're Not Done.

The missile strikes against Syria undertaken by the United States, France, and Great Britain

have been dominating world headlines.

As a result, the United Nations Security Council called for an emergency meeting at the request

of Russia.

President Trump, Secretary Mattis, and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley made it very

clear after this that they are not playing around.

Fox News reported,

"U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, on Sunday defended President Trump's

declaration of "mission accomplished" in the Syria missile strikes, saying the president

was talking in military terms about a singular task, not about foreign policy, while reinforcing

that the "United States' work in Syria is not done."

"We all know our work in Syria is not done," she told Fox News' "Fox News Sunday."

"I can assure you that the president is watching."

Haley also repeated her comment Saturday, at an emergency meeting of the United Nations

Security Council, that the U.S. remains "locked and loaded."

She spoke after the U.S. led an air-and-sea missile attack overnight Friday on the regime

of Syrian President Bashar Assad, in response to his purported March 7 chemical attack on

civilians, in the country's years-long civil war.

Assad "now dictates his own life," Haley said.

She also acknowledged Sunday that relations between the U.S. and Russia, an Assad supporter,

are "very strained."

Trump has, since winning 2016 presidential campaign, suggested that if elected he would

try to improve such diplomatic relations.

But a series of events including Russia's involvement in neighboring Ukraine, and the

recent poisoning of an ex-spy in Great Britain has strained the relationship, amid a federal

investigation into Russia meddling in the 2016 White House race.

"This is something we are not going to tolerate," Haley also said Sunday.

Russia doesn't have "very good friends."

She also suggested that Russia wasn't helpful in pursuing international diplomatic responses

to the chemical attack, saying the 105 missiles launched by the U.S., France and the United

Kingdom at three Syrian sites connected to the making, and storing of chemical weapons

"didn't have to happen."

"I think (the relationship) has been changing over time," she said.

"This is a very strained time.

While the coordinated attack against Syria is an attack against Syria it too in a sense

is an attack against Russia, who has made it clear they are closely allied with Syria.

And the air-missile strikes are just the beginning.

President Trump has made it clear that the mission was accomplished, while United Nations

Ambassador Nikki Haley has made it clear this is just the beginning.

On Sunday she announced that the United States will continue to place more sanctions, on

Russia in response to their support for Syria's chemical weapons program, which led to hundreds

of innocent civilians deaths.

She made those comments on CBS News's "Face the Nation" program where she was interviewed.

The Washington Post reported,

"Haley said the sanctions are imminent, targeting Russian companies that have helped

the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad make, and deploy chemical weapons

like those that spurred the United States, and its allies to launch more than 100 missiles

at Syria over the weekend."You will see that Russian sanctions will be coming down,"

Haley said.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin "will be announcing those Monday, if he hasn't

already," she added.

"And they will go directly to any sort of companies, that were dealing with equipment

related to Assad and chemical weapons use.

I think everyone is going to feel it at this point.

I think everyone knows that we sent a strong message, and our hope is that they listen

to it."

Haley has been one of the strongest voices accusing Russia of enabling the Syrian government

in its use of chemical weapons in the civil war, that is now in its seventh year.

Russia has vetoed at least six resolutions in the U.N. Security Council regarding chemical

weapons.

The Russian vetoes have been one of the main irritants in strained relations between Washington

and Moscow, with Western diplomats accusing Russia of trying to protect the Assad government.

The Trump administration has placed sanctions on Russian individuals and entities, including

penalties last month targeting Russian oligarchs who are close to President Vladimir Putin.

But the roll-out of new sanctions is usually closely guarded, in part to prevent people

subjected to them from quickly moving their money around.

There was no immediate comment from the Treasury Department.

Meanwhile, on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Congressional Democrats are calling for the President to receive Congressional approval

prior to any more comprehensive attacks.

Many are calling the President's air strikes illegal.

Regardless, numerous Congressional Republicans have thrown their support behind him for his

attack, while calling for him to seek Congressional guidance on any further strategic planning.

What do you think about this?
