hi everyone welcome to Hedgehog Hollow today I wanted to share with you my top

5 Misti tips now let's talk about the Misti for a second so it's an absolutely

fabulous tool now you will know that I used to love my tim holtz platform but

we can only get those here in the States and I just love working on the stand

platform I've tried out the we r memory keepers option I tried out the Stamper

artists and I've come back to my original Misti now I have a mini Misti

and I have the original I would like to get a memory Misti but it is a big

investment so I'm hoping I find a sale on it over the holidays but for now

we're gonna stick with that original Misti and I'm gonna give you my top 5

tips and my favorite things that I like to use inside my Misti so first of all

let's talk about magnets so you get some magnets that come in it and they do have

a habit of cracking so the first thing I say is you want to cover them in tape

now this here is duct tape pretty pretty pink spotty duct tape that I put over

these so if these were to crack on me and when they crack they can be really

sharp I did cut my fingers on with some to start with so hence I covered them in

duct tape it also means what I put them down I

have something to pick them up with it makes it much much easier and the same

on the bar magnet now I didn't cover my entire bar magnet this is the official

Misti one it's got the my sweet petunia on this side but I do put a little bit

of pretty Tim Holtz washi tape on it so again rather than having to like get my

nail underneath which can be a little bit tricky and it really does go down

securely I can just easily pick these up so I can use any thickness of card stock

this is watercolor cardstock so it's probably about the thickest I'm going to

use this is gonna hold it down and nice and firmly so it's not gonna move around

they could put my stamp on here and I'm gonna move it around so my first top tip

is as soon as you get your Misti or any stunt platform for that matter cover

your magnets in some tape and I recommend using duct tape and if you

have a bar I recommend putting some washi tape around it so you have this

little tab on it now the next thing is misty corners so there's two tips here

with misty corners now might have snap together so the first thing that is

saying is if your magnets snap together don't price them apart slide them apart

so there's another tip in there for you but these men these corners are

fantastic so now only are they great for lining things up but I like popping them

here in this corner like this so then I can pop my cardstock in here and I may

well pop a magnet on here as well just to hold it in place or alternatively I

can pop my other one you get two of these corners in here a nice strong

right angle so they're really gonna hold your cardstock firmly in place but

they're what reason I like them is they hold it you can see here I have a black

gap between my Misti and sorry the edge of my Misti and the edge of my cardstock

which means I can stamp off the edge of the paper

so here where I put my stamp on here you can see that right here my snowflake

this is a pink fresh I think snowflake that I've chosen

I can stand off the edge of my paper and I still got it held in here nice and

firmly so I really like that and the other thing is of course I can still do

that stamping over and over because all I would do is take out my piece of

cardstock and then I would put my next piece of cardstock in here and again

it's gonna stamp in the same place over and over again and they work perfectly I

can still close my lid so I can pop this wherever I want it to stamp off the page

I can lift down pick up my stamp and you can see it's not gonna affect my

stamping quality they're the perfect depth to still be able to stamp inside

you misty you don't have to take these away it's nice and flush against that so

I'm just going straight across if I lift this up you can probably just see

there's no extra level at all it's just nice and flush across there so that is

tip number 2 so these are those wonderful right angles you've got three

magnets in there so they're going to hold really really nice

and straight so if I hold it here maybe that's a better way for you to see

you've got three strong magnets in each of those corners so that's tip number

three that's tip number two rather the out tip number three are the things that

I keep inside of my Misti so this is the foam that comes with it and then you

have when you buy your Misti you get a little pad of paper now the first thing

I did with my powder paper was I laminated it and then I just trimmed it

down so when I pop this in here and then I've got this in here and I start

stamping when I stamp on this piece here I don't ruin a piece of paper because I

can then just take my tidy towel which I'll bring in here my ink gets on here I

just take my tidy towel wipe it clean because it's a laminated surface and off

I go now the other thing I sometimes put in here is one of the Teflon mats so

again I've cut a Teflon mat down to fit perfectly inside of here now you could

do the same with an easy clean mat which is my plan to do over the holidays I

bought a new one to cut down in here this one's looking a little bit the

worse for wear but it's probably been in here about two years so I mean that's

worn pretty well that also means that I can throw lots of mediums at it I've

sprayed in here I occasionally apply a little bit of heat which is not

recommended by Misti but I do kind of take that risk sometimes um I put pens

on it I've inked on it I put archival ink down all sorts of things and this

just teflon sheet it's one of the Ranger ink sensual sheet okay just cut it with

my guillotine and off I went now the other thing I made for my Misti was this

turnabout grid so if you've seen the Concord a night to turn about stamps

you'll know what this is all about you put a cross on your stamp and then you

put a cross on a piece of paper you line it up and you just keep rotating your

step now they recommend you make a template each time well I decided again

to laminate my template so I made my 6x6 grid

it fits perfectly in my Misti I also cut just a small border all the way around

to give yourself a little bit of extra wiggle room so there's just a tiny tiny

border I think it's about eighths of an inch order from memory I

do have a download on the blog I'll link that in that top right hand corner right

now you'll see something pop in that's my link to all about tone about scents

and how that this template works and I also have my arrows and things on that

but we'll make sure that's on there you can see little bit of residue from some

temporary tape but again I can just take my tidy towel and I can just remove any

marks that are on there really really easily as well so that's another option

and that's my tip number three so that's my next one on there for you now tip

number four is another part of the Misti corners which is this right angle so you

can see it comes down here and it goes across here now I'm gonna put duck in my

Teflon sheet it's a little bit easier for you to see but this tall is amazing

I don't just use it with stamps either I recently used it with dyes if you check

out the lawn fawn video again check out that top right hand corner you'll see

that things keep popping in I used it with dyes but what it does is it lines

up along these edges you can see it moves up and down along here like this

you can also move it along like this and what it's kind of ours to do is line

things up perfectly now whether you're lining up an image or maybe we want to

line up a sentiment so let me grab my stamp set here and I'm gonna grab a

sentiment this one says deserve to celebrate so what I'm gonna do is I'm

just going to very gently it's very hard with my nails so I like to use tweezers

I'm just going to gently pop my sentiment against my Misti owl a bracket

and I'm going to kind of bring this a little bit closer so you can see so what

I've done is I've just touched it up against that L bracket again this is the

perfect height that you do not have to move it remove it in order to pick up

your staff so again I'm just gonna close my lid I'm gonna open it up these are

photo polymers so sometimes it picks up your paper but now my sentiment is going

to be perfectly straight on my grid and then when I stamp it out on my paper

again I just put my paper back in the corner and I know my paper is gonna be

exactly where it was before and of course I can use this any way I like it

also has a straight edge here so if I didn't have room for this thick piece so

say I wanted my sentiment to be all the way over here all I have to do is pop

this piece on here I've got this up against there and again I can make it

nice and straight so again this is a really really useful tool whether it's

for stamps whether it's for dyes I use this all the time in my craft room for

all sorts of things so that is tip number four now tip number five if you

watch hedgehog Hollow videos you're gonna have heard this a lot and already

Greg is rolling his eyes at me because he's had this tip so many times you say

oh my god you're not getting more stiffly grips out again are you I said

oh yes I am because I love this and they might not have seen this so I found out

about these this is the misty mouse mat so this in its own and I'm gonna peel

this off for a second and then I'm going to show you the magic of this one so

this is the my sweet petunia mouse mat so it has the foam back which is the

same thickness as the foam that came in your miss teen and then it has an

acrylic surface so it's a bit like laminating your top here and you can buy

this as an add-on to your Misti and of course it fits in here perfectly so I

bought the mouse mat and then I found out about these Sizzix sticky grades now

these are currently sold up and that I had flip I did find a couple of places

that had them in stock and we'll make sure that we link up anywhere that does

have them in stock also I'm going to link up Ellen Hudson a scrapper come

because they haven't in stock notification that you can add so that

you can make sure you find out when these come back in stock because these

things are amazing I have them on my Gemini plates I have them on here I've

used them on my Tim Holtz mat I've cut them down to smaller pieces because they

hold my cardstock and my stencils in place when I'm doing things like that I

barely ever use masking tape anymore because I just used these and why are

these two magical you're gonna say Alex why do I need

well so I'm gonna pop my cardstock down and I'm gonna press it down now if I

lift up my sticky grid see and my cardstock doesn't go anywhere so yes you

could use a magnet as well and the magnet still works through the mouse mat

but I don't need a magnet so all of a sudden all those magnets that used to

break on me I don't need to worry about them anymore

so you can see it stuck perfectly my mouse map fits really nice and snug so I

know my card stops always gonna be in that correct position the other really

nice thing that I found so this is a brand new photo polymer this is one of

those snow this is a snowflake set from pink fresh so again I'm gonna just pop

it down on my surface I'm gonna pick it up on my lid and I'm gonna pick it up

now you saw when this was down over here it picked up my paper and took it with

it which is normal with a brand new big photo paulette it didn't do it with a

sticky grid and i think that is pretty amazing so I love these sticky grits you

can also get them in different sizes you can get them to go in your sidekick

you can get them to go in your regular Big Shot and I'm sure they are also

doing them in big to go in like the Big Shot place and all that kind of stuff as

well so they are my top 5 Misti tips so I hope you have maybe picked up a couple

of tips using your Misti maybe you're gonna grab that Misti you could also use

all of these tips in your Stamper artists you can use them in your we are

if you had a stunt perfect before they were discontinued if you have at impulse

platform you can totally use those sticky grids in there you can also use

your magnet tips in there the misty corners also work in your Tim Holtz

platform because I used to use them in there as well all of these tips the

laminating that works in there and the turnabout laminate that works in there

and the EZ clean mat that works in there too so all of these tips that I've shown

you today working all stamp platforms because I've tried them out to make sure

Large Meteor Over New Zealand was Russian Military Satellite - Duration: 1:56.

remains of a Russian military satellite a University of Auckland physics

professor says the soaring light was visible for several minutes around 9:00

over New Zealand at the time and had been predicted to re-enter Earth's

in fact the re-entry into Earth's atmosphere of cosmos 2430 a Russian

i just wear whatever the hell I like

so I'm actually looking for the answer to that one too..

but if you look at fashion instagrams.. it could help

is Japan or America colder?

america is pretty big...

and ya'll have okinawa and hokkaido(hot and cold place) so i really don't know

but i feel like I've been so cold since I've come to America

well, since coming back to america, i didn't really have the chance

to talk to anybody, or leave the house

and i don't think it was the typical experience... so I don't know how to answer that

but I'd think that if you're living in Japan for a long time

and you come back to america... it's typically a bit dificult

i have a horrible memory. it's embarrassing

i wish i could change that.

I get ittttt

But I'd say not to focus on the outside as much as the inside

do things like meditate, read, or just focus on being kind

and by making your mind beautiful

you'll become a lot more confident

don't you think you'll be happy if you come back to Japan?

no matter where you are, if you're struggling on the inside

and living in Japan alone

HOW TO EDIT LIKE BRANDON WOELFEL IN SNAPSEED - Duration: 6:08.

Today I am going to show you how to edit like Brendan Woelfel

Aloha Simpletons!

I know there's a lot of tutorials on YouTube and how to edit like him or

how to colorgrade like him in Lightroom but I wanted to show you how to achieve

a similar look in Snapseed. I am in no way encouraging you to edit exactly like

him, I am just showing you how to get those cotton candy hues within your

edits similar to what he has on his feed. There's a lot of teals, pinks and purple hues

so if you're like me and you're constantly inspired by his photos we're

going to try to recreate the similar tones in this photo today. I'm going to

take you through the same steps that I use to edit every photo and it's very

similar to my first Snapseed tutorial so here we go! The first thing we're gonna

do is Tune Image. We're gonna go to tools, Tune Image and increase the brightness by

a little bit because it's quite dark and this was taken at night and we're gonna

up the contrast by a little bit as well and add a little bit of ambience but not

too much because you don't want the picture to be overly structured and then

we're gonna up the highlights and we're also gonna up the shadows. Alright done!

Step two is Details. We're gonna add a little bit of structure just a teensy

bit and sharpen the photo a little bit as well. Third step, we're gonna use HDR

Scape. I love this tool but we're only gonna add a little bit. If we add too much

picture's gonna look a little bit cartoony. There we go! Now we're gonna go

into Grainy Film which is my absolutely favorite feature within Snapseed. I

always toggle about between X03 X04. In this case I'm gonna start

with X04. You can see that it's a little bit too grainy because grain is

at 25 - we're actually gonna lower that to 0 because Brandon's photos don't have a

lot of grain. Style strength I'm going to lower it, we're not gonna add too much.

Maybe about 32 and then we're done with that. We're gonna go back into Grainy Film

and add a little bit of X03 because I always like to add a little

bit of both - about 23. There we go! Okay now that we're done with Grainy Film

we're going to go into Curves. I know curves can be a little bit

overwhelming I'm gonna do a more detailed Curves tutorial in a separate

video but for this case I am just going to do as I always do which is trial and

error. I really kind of follow the same steps for

Curves for every photo just so I can keep it consistent. Gonna up this a

little right here and brighten this as well and I'm going to the go to the red

curve. Because there's a lot of pink and red hues in Brandon's photos I'm going to

increase this slightly more than I would have on a regular basis we don't want to

look to red I don't want to look sunburnt so I'm gonna lower that a

little teensy bit here and do the same as well down here. Now we're going to go to

the green curve. There's a lot of blue and teal hues within Brandon's

photos so I'm not going to add too much green. Now we're going to use the blue

curve, you'll notice that if I increase it up here there's a lot more pink but

the blue gets a lot more blue whereas if I go down here the blue gets more teal

but then I tend to be more yellow so we're just gonna play a little balancing

act and find what works but I do like the pink and blue hues up here so

that's what I am going to stick with. And the last curve we're gonna do is the

RGB curve which combines all of the colors within one curve so I'm going to

darken that here, brighten that up here and brighten that up there as well.

Alright now that we're done with Curves we are gonna go into White Balance. White

Balance just adjust the overall white balance of the photo if it's looking a

little too yellow then we can adjust that here I'm gonna decrease temperature

by only negative 1 'cause I only want to slightly adjust the warmth of the photo and

I do want to increase the pink hues of this photo so I'm going to increase the

tint about +4 but not too much because we don't want to overly saturate the

photo with pinks. And I'm done with that so if I check in and do before-and-after

there's already more cotton candy tones in this photo than there was before. I

always end off my editing process with Brush. I use it to adjust any specific

areas of the photo. I'm noticing that the blue is a little bit too blue and I kind

of want the blue to be more on the teal side. How I'm gonna cheat that without using

Lightroom is using the temperature tool within Brush. I'm going to zoom out so I

can grab more of the surface area in the sky and color it over until I get more

of a teal going on. The blue is more teal now versus what it was before but I can

see that it's kind of bleeding into the building which isn't too big of a deal

but my perfectionist side is forcing me to fix that. if you click on the eye icon

you'll see which area of the photo that you highlighted with the Brush tool. I'm

going to erase any areas that I don't want affected with the warmth. All right

I think we're done with the shot, so let's do a final before and after so

before, the photo was really dark and really flat and lacking a lot of color

and now we have our teal and pink tones, photo's more vibrant and it's similar to

edit is using Curves and White Balance. Those are going to be the game changer

Discover cash back! Now Discover card actually offers you the ability to earn

a lot of cash back if you use the discover it card. So in this video I'm

gonna talk to you and show you proof of the cashback that I've gotten so far

with my Discover card in this month this particular month or the last month

statement cycles. So that's what we're gonna talk about in this video but

before we get started I have a quick message.

Welcome to another video if you're new here my name is Duane with how to build

credit TV and on this channel we talk about everything you need to know about

credit, credit cards and how to make money using credit cards. So if this

it comes to discover cashback there's a lot of success that I've been able to

get personally using my Discover card. So the purpose of these videos is

just to kind of show you what's possible and it's not about boasting it's just

about showing you hey if you use your Discover card and you maximize the

categories you're able to make a lot of cash back from the Discover card. As a

matter of fact I was able to make over $1,700 using my Discover card in 13

months. I made a lot of videos talking about that I'll be sure to link one of

the videos at the top right of this video or at the end of the video so you

can look at that if you'd like. But when it comes to discover cashback, the

discover card allows you the ability to earn a lot of cash back especially

during the first year of membership. So what I'm gonna do right now is just kind

of show you the cashback that I've been able to accumulate in the last month

that I've used my Discover card. So I'm gonna continue to make videos just like

this that will show you my monthly progress when it comes to making

cashback or earning cash back using my Discover card. So give me one second and

I'm gonna jump on over to my laptop and login to my Discover account and show

you the cashback that I've been able to accumulate for this particular month

which was actually last month from I think November 7th to December 7th. So

it's actually this video is kind of late but that's okay I want to go ahead and

document my journey just so I can show you what's possible if you use your

Discover card and you can earn a lot of cash back with the Discover card. So

give me one second I'll see you over on my laptop. Okay so as you can see here we

have to discover a website because I want to talk to you about discover

cashback. So I'm gonna log in to my account here and so we can have a look

at the cashback that I've earned so far this last month or this last statement

cycle. So here we are I'm looking at well I have two accounts here as you can see

I have to discover It cards. The first party at the top was a Discover secured

card and they upgraded me to the regular discovered it card so that's pretty

cool. Credit limit on that is $2,500 because I

ended up depositing $2,500 and so they promoted me to the unsecured card and my

credit limit is still the same because I haven't used this card in a while

because I applied for a new Discover card which is right here card number

ending in three six seven four. And that's the account that I'm gonna be

sharing with you my experience with discover cashback. So I'll go ahead and

click on that account here at the bottom and it's gonna open my account. Alright

I'm going to click right here at the top where it says activity and payments. I'm

gonna click on that then I'll click on activity and statements. So you can pull

up my statement alright let me go ahead and pull up here I'll click this and

I'll show the current statement from November 7th to December 6th I'll click

that. And here we go so I have that selected there as you can see. I'm going

to show you guys here on the right hand side I'll show you the

cash back that I was able to accumulate in just one month. So from November 7th

to December 6 and 2018 I was able to earn cash back wise $59.91 now so you

can see the cash back that I earned in that one statement was a lot because of

course it has to do the category and the fact that I was using my Discover Card

and trying to maximize getting 5% cash back by spending within that category

because clearly I get 5% cash back. And it's easy to accumulate a lot of points

are a lot of cash back if I spend within that 5% category. So as you can see my

total cash back at the moment is a hundred and fifty dollars and 55 cents.

Now I believe I've had this card for three months I think, we'll check in just

one second. But real quickly here on the right side one thing that I like to

bring to your attention is the fact that yes so far I've gotten $150 in cash back

from Discover Card or I've earned $150 in cash back from Discover Card. But I

want to show you that there are no fees, there's no fees here when it comes to

fees charge, there's no fees or I haven't paid anything in regards to Cash advance

cash balances and the most important one to me personally is the interest

charge. As you can see I think I've had this card for three months or so we'll

check in just one second but there has been no interest charge so I've been

able to accumulate one hundred and fifty dollars and I have not paid any interest.

And the reason why I haven't is because I pay my credit card bill off as soon as

possible. Maybe like once a week just so I don't have to worry about you

know paying all of it at one time when the bill is due so I want to be sure

that I'm not paying any interest because I want to be a good example to you guys

and more importantly I also want to save money right. I don't need to pay interest

on something because I use my credit card all the time and I have money in

the bank before I use it so that's what I wanted to bring to your attention.

Let's see how long I've had this particular account with Discover Card.

I'll just click on this here okay so yeah three months right so I have three

statements here I have from September the 7th to October the 6th. I have from

October 7th to November the 6th and then currently from November 7th to December

6th. So once again I wanted to show you guys this the purpose of showing you

guys is just to show you proof that yes you can get a lot of cash back with

Discover card and you could get all the cash back without paying any interest if

you take care of your business and pay your bills off. You know it's pretty

simple and straightforward. So once the guys want to show you real quickly that

I have accumulated within three months $150 cash back and the reason why that

happened is because I use the credit card as much as I can and I try to spend

in that category at the time to give me 5% cash back. So if you're interested in

A little ribbon pour I did today - Duration: 4:29.

A new painting today.

i used the colors white

green

turquoise

and black

Pardon me while i stick my hand in wet paint

Christmas cups i got on clearance!! YAY!!

Lets start with white on the bottom

then add green

add some black

some turquoise

more white

then repeat until all the paint is in the cup

this is a mixture of paint and flotrol

It helps to prime the canvas to help the paint slide around

This technique is called a Ribbon Pour

add heat to get out any air bubbles

and now I tilt and whirl the canvas around until I like what i see

MESSY!!! but FUN!!!!

I got some cool cells!!!

Fairytale Cottage Haul ♔ - Duration: 6:27.

Once upon at a time in a land far far away there was an enchanted kingdom that blossome

with flowers and magic all year round. Deep in the rosy woods ancient treetops kiss heavens

above there was a dreamy cottage surrounded by woodland angels, falling rose petals

and fairy wren's sweet never ending melodies. And on this very special day the Kings

and Queens of the forest gathered for a royal welcome of the Rose Princess.

Lula my dear, you want to play in the garden? Oh well I guess we'll save this story for another time.

Hi I'm Liana Rose and welcome to The Land of Lavish.

If you told me five years ago that I'd be sitting here in my home sweet home in the forest I would not believe you

but I'm here and I'm very excited to share some dreamy home decor with you today.

Where shall we start?

I'll first begin with this ethereal vintage birdcage that I'll store any precious letters and wishes inside.

And I think it will look heavenly adorned with flowers too.

Next is probably my favourite piece. Let me get it.

It is this beautiful peace sign by Shabby Chic by Rachel Ashwell

And it's the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning. Aw it has doves on it.

From an online boutique Beholden I found many royally beautiful pieces like this fairytale mirror for my vanity.

It looks like it belongs in a fairytale. I'll treasure it dearly.

Also this baroque mirrored tray to display little trinkets, jewels or perfume.

And lastly these little petite hanging vases for blossoms. Aren't they so pretty? I just picked these today from my garden.

My dream for this cottage is to make it feel like an airy, fairy, princess angel haven in the clouds.

I think a home should be a place where your soul can be at ease and where magic can be found at every twist and turn.

With that being said my heart danced when I stumbled upon this ginormous print featuring words by Roald Dahl.

And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you

because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.

Those who don't believe in magic will never find it. Isn't it wonderful. Oh my goodness.

So bunny decor melts my heart and it was meant to be when I found these whimsical watercolored pillows

by a brand called Craftberrybush.

On top of a mountain here there's this little hill where wild bunnies frolic and this reminds me of them.

Next was a present from someone dear to me and it's what angel dreams are made of.

Look at this little vase. And she has wings and a rose. Aw it's just so pretty.

It's by an Australian brand called Maribra

At a village store nearby I found this joyful and sweet Peter Rabbit tea towel.

Enjoy the little things in life. One day you'll look back and realise they were big things.

For some glamour I got these crystal perfume bottles from Bed, Bath & Table.

Oh how beautiful.

And lastly for this dreamy fairytale show and tell I have these pretty dreamcatchers for the sweetest of dreams.

These are from Minihaha.

This is for me and this is for Lula Rose.

That was all fairytale bits and bobs that I wanna share with you today

I really enjoyed watching and I'd love to hear if you have any decor obsessions
