R. Kelly's Sex Tape Trial: Recap of Kelly's Child Pornography Case | Heavy.com

R Kelly, the 51-year-old R&B artist and producer, has recently come back under renewed fire after Lifetime aired a new six-part docu-series called Surviving R.

Kelly, which documents alleged abuse to several of Kelly's ex-girlfriends and romantic partners.

The series focuses heavily on Kelly's scandals, abuse accusations and child pornography charges over the years, and many of the women featured in the documentary highlight the abuse they claim to have endured at the hands of the R&B singer.

Kelly has faced numerous other allegations of being involved with underage girls throughout his long career, the biggest involving a sex tape scandal.

In 2002, a sex tape emerged showing Kelly engaging in sexual intercourse and urinating on an underage girl.

Shortly after the tape leaked, police raided his home in Davenport, Florida and found 12 images on a digital camera depicting Kelly "involved in sexual conduct with the female minor.".

Stephanie "Sparkle" Edwards, an a former backup singer for Kelly and the aunt of the unnamed underage girl in the sex tape, introduced Kelly to the alleged victim, a meeting that still "haunts" her, according to an emotional clip from the documentary.

"I should never have introduced her to him," she says in the clip, adding of the sex tape, "I'd hear things but to see it visually, and she was so young, it f–ked me up.".

Sparkle had introduced her niece to Kelly when she was 12-years-old, and the alleged sex tape was recorded two years later, when her niece was 14.

She said she began to fear that the relationship was getting out of control once she found out her niece was going to his home and studio alone. Once the tape surfaced in 2002, Sparkle didn't hesitate to go to the police and name both Kelly and her niece in the video.

Kelly DocumentarySparkle is one of many who spoke about their relationship with R.

Kelly in the Liftetime documentary "Surviving R.

Kelly.".

To this day, the young girl in the tape has not been identified publicly, although the girl's best friend from childhood, Simha Jamison, did testify against Kelly during his trial, who recognized her friend in the tapes and identified Kelly as the man in the video.

According to a 2008 article by CBS News, Jamison was put on the stand to testify. She said she and the alleged victim were best friends for about 10 years, until their junior year in high school, and that she recognizes her friend as the one in the tape.

When prosecutors asked Jamison if she recognized the man in the tape, she pointed to Kelly.

She told the jury that she and the victim visited Kelly several times at his recording studio and a basketball court when they were just 12-years-old.

According to CBS, the victim first introduced Jamison to Kelly as her "godfather," and claimed Kelly used to give her friend cash gifts of "no less than $100 and no more than $500.".

She said the two also visited the home where authorities say the sex tape was filmed between Jan.

1, 1998, and Nov. 1, 2000.

Jamison said her friend never mentioned a sexual relationship with the star, although Jamison still identified her as the young girl on the tape.

Kelly arrives at the Cook County courthouse in 2008.

During the trial, the 27-minute long sex tape was played for the jurors.

The homemade video shows a man, believed to be Kelly, having sex with a young female, who is naked for most of the recording except for a necklace with a cross dangling from it, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

At the very beginning of the video, the man hands the young girl money, and she mouths the words "thank you." She then dances to songs from the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls, before the two begin to have sex, with the girl calling the man "daddy," a name that Kelly has reportedly been having all of his girlfriends call him for decades.

Although the man in the video walks up to adjust the camera several times, his face is often obscured.

Kelly was facing 15 years if convicted on the child pornography charges.

Kelly's defense attorney Sam Adam Jr.

argued that the man in the video was not his client, and that somebody could have easily tampered with the tape to superimpose his head on another man's body.

He accused Jamison of colluding with somebody in the girl's family, claiming a family member wanted to extort money from Kelly, and also claims that the girl in the video must have been a "professional prostitute" because the man pays her immediately when the video starts.

Kelly was eventually found "not guilty" on all charges.

As the verdicts were being read on the final day of the trial, the singer started crying and whispering "Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus," over and over again, according to his lawyers.  Due to the fact that the victim in the video never pressed charges, identified herself, or testified in court, the case was left with a significant handicap.

Although Kelly was found not guilty of all charges in his child pornography trial, he has been accused by several young women of continuing to have sex with minors long after the charges were dropped.

Following its two-episode premiere Thursday night, the six-part Surviving R.

Kelly documentary resumes Saturday night with the final two episodes of the series – All the Missing Girls" and "Black Girls Matter." Check out the conclusion of the documentary tonight at 8 p.m.

Lifetime - Surviving R.

Kelly Dominique Gardner cried after her mother, Michelle Kramer, was finally able to locate her.

The emotional reunion took place on Friday's episode of "Surviving R.

Kelly.".

Dominique Gardner, the daughter of Michelle Kramer, a woman who was desperately trying to locate her daughter on a segment of the Lifetime documentary Surviving R.

Kelly, said Gardner cried when she was finally able to speak to her mother again.

Gardner was involved with R&B singer R.

Kelly for nine years, and her mother Kramer is one of dozens of people who came forward to discuss their relationships with Kelly and the impact he had on their lives throughout his long career in Lifetime's docu-series titled Surviving R.

Kelly.

In a clip from Friday's episode of Surviving R.

Kelly, Kramer and her husband claim that Kelly kept their daughter from seeing her family for years, and they were devastated.

In the clip below, an emotional Kramer tries desperately to find her daughter, Dominique Gardner, after she lost contact with her family following nine years of being involved with the R&B singer.

Kramer blames Kelly for keeping her family apart, saying that "any man that don't let a mother see they child, or a child see they mother and she's still living? He ain't got no heart.

An emotional Kramer can be seen frantically trying to locate Gardner, eventually tracking her down at a hotel and trying to bring her home.

She says that her daughter was with Kelly for nine years, lived with him for more than four, and inevitably went "missing" from her family, losing all contact with her parents for some time.

During Friday's episode, Michelle Kramer recounts how her daughter Dominique Gardner, then working as a dental assistant in Chicago, fell into Kelly's circle, with the singer eventually asking that she move to Atlanta.

"At this point, she was 21, 22.

What could I do? I had to make the hardest choice," Kramer said.

"All I could do is pray and hope that just one day she would wake up and come home.".

Kramer hadn't seen Gardner in over a year, and had finally had enough.

She decided to track down Gardner to try to convince her to come home.

In the TMZ video seen above, Gardner was spotted with another of Kelly's girlfriends Joycelyn Savage after TMZ posted the video following several articles questioning the welfare of the women in Kelly's alleged "sex cult.".

The TMZ video showed Savage and Gardner shopping in Beverly Hills.

Kramer descended on the Los Angeles district and located her daughter staying in a nearby hotel, and tried to reach out to her.

As Kramer is leaving the hotel, a hotel manager tells her her daughter is on the line at a front desk phone.

"She cried like a little girl just hurting for her mommy," Kramer said of the short reunion with her daughter on the phone.

"I said, 'Baby, can I come back please?' And she said, 'Yes momma, come back at 6.'".

John Legend Condemns R. Kelly In New Docuseries | Heavy.com

John Legend was the only musician who agreed to be interviewed for the documentary series Surviving R.

Kelly.

What drew Legend to the series, where fellow artists like Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, and Questlove declined, was that he wanted to take the necessary steps to condemn Kelly's actions.

"To everyone telling me how courageous I am for appearing in the doc, it didn't feel risky at all," he wrote on Twitter.

"I believe these women and don't give a f*ck about protecting a serial child rapist.

Easy decision.". John Legend Called R.

Kelly 'A Serial Child Rapist' On Twitter After Filming His Interview.

To everyone telling me how courageous I am for appearing in the doc, it didn't feel risky at all.

I believe these women and don't give a fuck about protecting a serial child rapist.

Easy decision.

— John Legend (@johnlegend) January 4, 2019    .

This is not the first time that Legend has spoken out against R.

Kelly. In April 2018, the singer shared his support of the #MuteRKelly movement when he retweeted an open letter that called on the music industry to cut ties with Kelly.

"I stand with the women of #timesup #muterkelly," he wrote.

Legend also singled out Dream Hampton, the executive producer of Surviving R.

Kelly, for her "necessary work" in bringing Kelly's sordid past to light.

"These survivors deserved to be lifted up and heard," he wrote in a separate tweet.

"I hope it gets them closer to some kind of justice.".

Legend Was the Only Musician to Appear In the Doc After Mary J.

Blige, Jay-Z , Erykah Badu & Countless Others Turned It Down.

       .

Hampton has spoken at length about the difficult of getting musicians to appear in the series. "John Legend was the only one," Hampton told Shadow and Act. "I asked Jay-Z, I asked Mary J.

Blige, I asked Lil Kim, Erykah Badu, Dave Chappelle… But they all said no.

I mean, most people just don't want to touch it.

I remember Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson was like, 'I would do anything for you but I can't do this.'".

It's not because they support him, it's because it's so messy and muddy," Hampton explained.

"It's that turning away that has allowed this to go on. That makes John Legend even more of a hero for me.".

Executive Producer Dream Hampton Says That Legend Is a 'Hero' for Speaking Out.

Hampton also spoke about the responsibility that people like her and Legend have to the future generation.

Kelly is someone that we, my generation, should have dealt with a long time ago," she admitted.

"I remember when Ferguson was happening and this young protester tweeted out to me or someone from Generation X, and they were like, 'Why didn't y'all stop this?' I'm like, 'Yeah, that's not how it works.' It's not like there weren't attempts.".

"At one point in the film, someone asked, 'Where was the outrage [at the height of his fame, in the '90s]?' and that's just because a lot of this [outrage] was pre-digital, but it did exist," she added.

"We did push back in the moment, but we didn't organize to shut him down, so there was this feeling of responsibility.".

TIME Vocabulary & Phrases in English: recently, outdated, of late, nowadays... - Duration: 23:37.

I've been lonely, so lonely I could die.

Oh, sorry, that's Elvis.

E's crying because he's been very lonely lately.

He said very lonely lately.

Very lonely...

E, what do you mean: "You've been very lonely lately"?

Hi. James from engVid.

A lot of times we, in English, use time...

When I say time words, I'm not talking about: "when" or "while", or "after" and "before",

which indicate what is happening in time; if it's coming this way or that way.

But we have time words and time phrases, which is to give us more information than "before"

or "after" because they can be used more generally.

Example: I can say: "Before I did this video, I had dinner."

But if I say: "I recently had it", you know it's in memory; in the period of time in my

memory that's very close.

It's a little deeper, a little bit more knowledge or a little bit more information.

So, when we're looking here, I'm going to give you some phrases and some words that

do the same thing as "recently" does, which is more information than "before" or "after".

Cool?

Let's go to the board, and we'll find out why E is so lonely he could die.

[Laughs] Anyway.

Just as time flows, I'm going to start in the natural progression of time.

Past happens before, then the present is now, and the future.

And I'm going to try to give you a few words with each that you will find that native speakers

use on a regular basis to give you an idea or an impression about what kind of time they're

talking about.

And some of these things-and E gave me a really good one with "this Wednesday" and "next Wednesday"-are

so common that we use it that, you know, foreign speakers get confused, because they're like:

"What do you mean there's only one way to say?

Why be so specific?"

It's like: No, we're actually giving you more information.

So, let's go to the board and we'll start out with "old-fashioned".

This one's kind of easy, because we're talking about the past, here, because you know "old"

is before.

But you're going to say: "Old-fashioned, why?"

Well, when somebody says something is old-fashioned, they usually mean it's not in style anymore.

All right?

It's not modern.

So you can say: "This is an old-fashioned donut."

It doesn't mean it's bad.

It just means it's...

You know, it's from an older style or a generation prior to.

But when somebody says: "You have old-fashioned manners or old-fashioned language", they're

saying: "You know what?

People don't kind of use this anymore.

That's an old-fashioned idea."

Right?

It's kind of not being used, so we have that to the past.

It's usually associated with things in the past or things that are gone or should be

gone.

"Out-dated".

"That out-dated mode of thinking they use on a regular basis - PC talk (politically

correct talk)."

It means it's no longer used or no longer useful.

So, you might have this idea or you might have, I don't know.

My cellphone is like an S4 from Samsung.

I'm mentioning it for two reasons.

Samsung, I need a new cellphone; it's an S4.

And you people out there, please give me a new cellphone.

I'm joking.

I want Samsung to give me a cellphone.

Advertising for ya.

But my phone's basically out-dated.

It's so out-dated that they use it to...

Oh, I don't even have a good joke - it's that out-dated.

It's no longer used or useful.

Most new systems are at an S8 or what have you, so somethings I can't use.

I don't care.

I like my phone, to be honest.

Now, "out-dated" means it's just kind of, like, not being used; no longer used or useful.

Operative word or the word that's important is not...

"Not useful" means it's not as convenient as something that would be new.

The word you don't want to hear someone say to you is "obsolete".

All right?

If this is obsolete, it is no longer used.

Yes.

Old credit cards.

You know, you don't pay it?

It becomes obsolete; you can't use it no more.

Bad example.

Obsolete - dinosaurs.

Ever seen one?

Mm-mm - you don't.

Birds is as close as we got to them; they gone.

They're obsolete.

That technology or that biological technology is no longer used, people.

We are the new ones.

Being the...

So, now time to move to the present.

What present...?

Present day forms do we use to explain what's going on in the present?

A lot of you guys will know: "now" or "present", because these are the two words you've been

taught.

Have you ever been confused when someone says to you: "Nowadays, the kids wear their jeans

down by their butts"?

You're like: "What?

What do you mean, 'nowadays'?

You mean today?"

Like: "No.

Nowadays."

It means at the present and it is different from the past.

When anyone says to you: "nowadays", they're literally saying the days today are different

than the days before.

Right?

You know.

"I know it's old-fashioned that a man should pull up his pants and wear a belt.

Right?

Should pull the pants up.

Nowadays, the children have the pants down their ass."

You know, it's like: What?

It's like: "Well, today is different than the past.

Nowadays".

And it's not a day; it's a period of time.

So they're saying in recent memory from, you know, two, three, four years, or two...

Yeah, two, three, four years, or two/three months.

But usually it's a longer period of time in the present and it's not one point; it's a

bubble you could say.

All right?

So, bridges the past and the present; saying there's a difference between the past and

the present and it goes over a period of time.

"Lately".

Haven't seen you around here lately.

E, where you been lately?

And this is the one he used here.

And this one means not long ago.

I haven't seen E lately.

It means maybe in the last hour or two.

With "nowadays" we're talking maybe a year or two, maybe even at 10 years; "lately" means

recently.

Right?

Not too long ago.

You know?

I haven't...

I haven't had a Starbucks lately.

That could in a week or two or a month.

You're not talking years.

All right?

So, watch these.

You can use these for different things, so you have a greater expression of present time

and more of a recent expression of present time.

Now, here's one of my favourite: Notice how these are "lately" and "latest"?

Seems similar; very different.

"Latest" means most recent.

It means the newest thing.

The latest Apple computer can make coffee for you.

The latest Apple computer; not the lately one.

The latest.

It means newest.

It's like a superlative.

Right?

"Newest", "most", "best", "biggest", "latest".

It is the newest thing out there.

So, when talking the present, we can say: "The latest thing.

Have you heard the latest news?"

It means the newest news.

"Lately the news hasn't been very good" - in recent memory.

"The news nowadays", it means maybe this year or the last four years.

Very different periods of time.

So, we go from now, a bit more than now, to longer periods and we're still talking about

now.

Cool.

Now you've expanded your vocabulary, let's move to the future.

Now, the future has a couple of constructions that are really difficult, and I understand

it's difficult for students to get because when we learn these phrases, it's just part

of something we watch and see; we don't think too much about it.

And the constructions of the sentences make it actually hard for people to get.

So, I'm going to start with a point here.

These two here and then go up to this one.

Bear with me and I'll get there for you.

Okay.

So, when you have one and two...

Okay?

Number two is next to one, so it's the next one.

When we say: "The next day", we mean not day number one, but day number two.

So it's one extra day.

"I'll do it the next day or the day...

Next..."

Sorry.

I'll do it the next day.

"A week from now" is similar to that.

Now, I know you know "now", so let's take this one and write "now".

Okay?

Now, when we do: "a week from now", that's going to be one week is here, so the difference

is one week from whenever that period of time is.

"Now" is...

Let's say today is Friday.

Now it's Friday.

So, one week from now will be next Friday; a one-week difference.

One plus.

Cool?

So, in this case, when we talk about these two: "a week from now", we're talking about

adding one week to the day we're talking about.

When we say: "the next day" we mean literally the next day, and we can follow the one, two

example.

Not today; that day here.

From here, this day is Friday - one week from now will be the next Friday.

We're good with that?

Good, because now is when it gets complicated.

Well, actually, not really.

We're going to start with this one.

Actually let's start with this one to make it easy.

We'll start with "tomorrow".

Okay?

So let's go back up here.

And you know what "tomorrow" means, right?

It's not today, but tomorrow.

So when you have "tomorrow"...

I'm going to write "tom." for short for "tomorrow".

This one says: "The day after tomorrow".

Well, here's today.

Okay?

And remember we talked about this is one and this is two?

This is tomorrow.

What would be after tomorrow?

Three.

All right?

And this is after tomorrow, so we're going to hear "after".

So, the day after tomorrow is really two days from now.

Today...

Not today, but tomorrow.

And after tomorrow is the third day, which means two days from now.

English people usually say that.

They'll go: "You know, the day after tomorrow we'll do it."

Two days from now.

Now you understand that, we're going to go to the next one which seems even harder: "The

week after next".

It's the exact same thing, except we're talking about weeks as opposed to days.

Let's go back to the board.

Okay?

So, we're going to say: "after".

Okay?

So we're talking about a week, which was number one.

Right?

After that would be two, and then we have this funny word: "next", which would be three.

Well, we know three minus one equals what?

Two.

So, not this week; it's after that by a week, and then it's next.

So we're talking about two weeks from now.

And you're going to go: "James, hold on a second.

That's exactly the same as 'the day after tomorrow'."

Like, yeah, except: "The day after tomorrow" is talking about days; "the week after next"

is talking about weeks.

A longer time period, but the concept or idea is the same.

There is a difference...

There is a difference of two.

Why we use it - I don't know, because it's just as easy to say: "two weeks from now",

"two days from now".

But it's not why we use it that's important.

What's important is that you understand it when someone sends you a business note or

an invitation.

You know: "The party will be the week after next", you have to know what it means.

And right now I think you do.

So we've done these ones, and that's why we started here and worked backwards.

And now we're going to go to the easy one: "two weeks from now."

Hmm.

What is "two weeks from now"?

Well, if you got these, this is kind of evident.

Right?

From this point in time, two weeks from now.

What I wanted to explain about all of these things that they all have in common is it's

a period of time from this day.

Okay?

So, really, it's a period of time, so we're illustrating a period of time without saying...

Getting exact about it by saying, you know: "The week after next".

It's a period of time; it's 14 days.

But no one is going to say: "14 days".

They say that with the understanding that you know what it is.

And this is two days, and they understand that you know that's what it is.

But it's not even that it's a period of time; it's a period of time in the future - not

happening now.

Cool?

All right.

Now, here's a fun one: "this Wednesday".

What the hell does that mean?

"This Wednesday.

That Wednesday.

When Wednesday?"

Well, when we say: "this Wednesday" or we say: "this Thursday", or we say: "this Monday",

what it usually means is this day has not happened in the week.

Generally you're not going to hear this Monday.

You go: "Why?"

I'm like, well, the week we use...

Okay.

The week starts on Sunday, but in North America and many English-speaking countries, the week

starts on a Monday.

So people won't say: "This Monday" because they're already in the day, but they would

say on a Monday: "This Tuesday".

I'm confused.

And I would say: "Is it Monday?" and you'd go: "Yeah."

I go: -"Has Tuesday happened yet?"

-"No."

And that's what they mean: "This Tuesday" meaning the Tuesday in this week.

So, anytime you hear an English speaker saying: "This Monday.

This Saturday.

This Friday", remember this is in the future.

It means: In this week it has not happened and that's the one we're talking about.

We're good?

A day in the week that has not happened.

And you go: "Okay, okay, I got that."

And I go: "Good.

I'm glad you got it, because now I'm going to throw a monkey wrench at you at talk about

next Wednesday."

And you're like: "What?

Next Wednesday - well, that must be this week as well."

Nope.

Not at all.

"Next Wednesday" means whatever week we're in, it's the following week.

Do you remember we were talking about, here: "The next blah-blah-blah"?

That's what this means.

When we talked about this Wednesday...

This week or this Wednesday, the example-right?-we're saying: "Here's the week - Monday to Sunday."

Okay?

Sorry, in university we use "A" for Sunday, so forgive me.

When we said this, it means: In this week, like this Monday or this Tuesday...

"This Tuesday" it means the week has...

We're here on Monday; Tuesday hasn't happened yet.

That's what that means.

So we're waiting til this day, here.

When we say: "next"...

"Next Monday" or "next Tuesday".

Yeah.

See?

We can say: "Next Monday".

It means we're standing right here.

Right here.

We're standing here and we're looking into the future for the next one.

So it doesn't mean, if we're here on Tuesday, we say: "next Tuesday", we mean the next Tuesday

that's coming.

You go: "What?"

I'm like: "Yeah."

Even if this is Wednesday, we're not referring back in time; we're referring to the future.

Just like we did here, we're going to go to the future to the very next Tuesday.

So, today...

For instance, today is Friday, so if I said: "E, I'll see you next Friday", he wouldn't

go: "But we're here, James."

I go: "You know what I'm talking about."

Look to the future - the following seven days, we'll meet up again.

Cool?

Yeah.

A little confused?

You should be.

Right now you shouldn't be because I've explained it.

You can always rewind and watch again.

But these are important because these happen time and again in the English language, and

I've watched very smart students, very intelligent people get confused by it because they're

like: "Well, you have 'days after' and 'next', and 'week', and you put them all in the same

sentence."

I'm like: "Yeah, and you have to learn it, and it's my job to help you."

So, we've done the past - given you some old ones that you...

You'll refer back to the past when you hear people say it.

When you hear "out-dated", what does that mean?

It's no longer useful.

Then we talk about "nowadays", and they don't mean now even though you hear "now".

It means in the present in a recent period of time.

"Latest" means the newest.

Then you hear, like...

You hear: "The week after next."

You know: "Oh, that's two weeks."

Then you hear: "The day after tomorrow", and that's two days.

Right?

And when you hear this...

And this is, you know...

We would say: "this", like: "This is close and that.

And there."

You know, "this" and "that" are talking about distance.

This is this week; it's happening right now.

Okay?

While, "next" is the following week.

Cool?

Got it down, basically?

Good.

We're going to go do our quiz, as you know.

I'm going to give you a little bit more information on time phrases or throw one more at you at

least, and we'll do a little homework.

Ready?

[Snaps]

Okay, so it is time for us to do one more time.

I've got a couple more things I want to give you about time, and hopefully your head is

not going around and around from the last one.

But first one is: "of late", "of late".

"I haven't seen him of late" - it means recently and it means a period of time around now.

So, if this is now, "of late" is like a planet going around here.

Not too far here, not to far there.

All right?

"I haven't had a cigarette of late" - in the last 5-10 minutes or two hours.

"These days".

This is interesting because "these days" means in the present; not the past.

"These days it's hard to get a house because they're too expensive", which is different,

of course, than the past where it was probably easier to get a house.

So when someone says: "these days" to you, they're meaning the difference between the

present and the past.

Contradic-...

It's, like, contradiction or they're opposite in some way.

So: "These days it's easier to get around the world; everyone can fly.

In contrast, 100 years ago you were on a boat - it was difficult to get around."

You know?

Or: "These days it's easy to communicate with people I know by way of cellphone."

It's true, because in the old days, we had the...

We would call it the rotary phone.

Oh, you don't know about that.

Okay.

You know Fred Flintstone?

Maybe not?

Prehistoric times.

Think before when man walked - we used to have to go into the kitchen, usually the kitchen,

there would be a phone on the wall.

I know you're going: "Teacher, not in my pocket?"

No.

Not in your pocket.

On the wall, and we'd walk up and there'd be little holes in a round disk, and you go...

And if you made one mistake, you had to start again.

[Laughs] Sorry.

It's true.

I wish I was joking.

You'd be like: "Damn it!"

Start again.

So, yeah.

Yeah, and you couldn't leave the kitchen because the cord...

You probably don't know what a cord is either.

The thing that held the phone, you could only walk so far and then you'd get yanked back.

So, you couldn't go too far.

Ah, yeah, these days everything has changed.

Anyway, we've done that one, so: "these days" and "of late".

Let us do our quick, little quiz.

I got a little quiz for ya.

Of course.

I have got four sentences, and four time words or time phrases.

Which one belongs where?

Let's figure it out, shall we?

"Nobody uses a slide rule anymore.

That technology is __________."

Now, I know the first thing you're going to say is: "What is a slide rule?"

And I'm going to tell you what a slide rule is.

I don't know because I've never seen one.

You guys use calculators today.

Right?

So, what is a slide rule?

Hmm.

"That technology is" - yeah, "obsolete".

It is not used by anyone anymore.

Nobody uses a slide rule, unless you go to maybe Oxford in the 1960s.

All right?

So: "obsolete".

Now, what about this one?

"__________, kids like to wear their pants really low, and have a lot of tattoos."

What would that be?

Well, we're talking about the kids today.

Right?

And we're talking about the kids now, so we would say: "Now...

Nowaday".

Ah, I just noticed something.

Sorry.

Forgive me.

Nowadays I make some mistakes; not like the old days.

And I got to put a period, here.

And while I'm at it, let me just check...

Ah.

You hadn't heard the news - James forgot the question mark.

Anyway: "Nowadays, kids like to wear their pants really low, and have a lot of tattoos."

That means today.

Right?

How about we do this one, C?

"Did you hear the _________ news?"

What would that one be?

Well, there's only two left, and I would say, judging from the lines, this one would have

to be "latest".

You're like: "Oh, James, you're so smart.

You made the other one too long.

We know the answer."

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know the answer is this one.

And if you have to wait for me to put the answer down - please, stop...

Start the video again and pretend this never happened.

Okay?

Because there's only one left.

And you're like: "Oh, wait.

Give me time.

I'm so confused.

This is difficult.

I mean, I don't know which one I haven't written down yet."

There we go: "two weeks from now", yes.

Okay?

And that was the difficult one we did before.

Right?

We talked about, you know, time period - a time period from this period, so it's two

weeks from whenever we're speaking.

Right?

Two weeks from Friday.

So, anyway, that's the quiz.

You did well, especially you people who were able to look at the line difference and get

the answer - very smart.

I don't know if your English is good, but you are smart.

Okay.

So, as always, homework.

I want you to write six sentences using two of the time phrases.

Now, I gave you two for the past, two for the present, two for the future, so pick two

and just write out some sentences, and mix and match them.

See how well you understand them.

And then, you know, go to...

I've told you before: Go make comments, because I have noticed a lot of people when someone

actually does the homework - a lot of people make comments and you make friends.

It's really cool.

I've watched people say: "I'm from Algeria, and I saw yours, and here's a mistake.

And let me help you."

I'm like: "Really?"

No, really, it does happen.

But yeah, do your homework, see how well you do.

You can do...

After the quiz, make a comment; people will really love to help you there.

Or even after this video, and get your sentences done.

I'm trying to think of what else I have to do.

Oh, I have to say thank you.

Thank you, once again, it's always a pleasure having you watch the videos and tell us...

Or let me know what you want to have on the next video.

And get to subscribe.

Why?

Because when you subscribe, I get the ability to give you the latest and greatest thing

we've done.

See?

"Latest".

Press the link - you'll see a button around here somewhere or, you know, swipe - whatever

you got to do.

Don't forget to hit the bell because the bell is when you get the latest video that we have

out.

Okay?

Great.

Anyway, go to www.eng as in English, vid as in video to do the quiz - the big quiz and

really test yourself; see how good you are.

Got to go, but I know I'll see you around.

Right?

These days...

R. Kelly's Sex Tape Trial: Recap of Kelly's Child Pornography Case | Heavy.com - Duration: 9:23.

Screengrabs of Surviving R.

GettyR.

You can read more about his alleged victims here.

Following its two-episode premiere Thursday night, the six-part Surviving R.

Kelly documentary resumes Saturday night with the final two episodes of the series – All the Missing Girls" and "Black Girls Matter." Check out the conclusion of the documentary tonight at 8 p.m.

Dominique Gardner & R. Kelly: Daughter Sobs After Being Reunited With Family | Heavy.com

Kelly documentary covers Kelly's life, including his childhood, his rise to fame, and his sex scandals.

10,000 Calories of Carbs - 60 Minute Challenge for The New Year *ft. whole Pannetone* | Freak Eating - Duration: 18:34.

If you came here expecting new diets, and crazy life goals you came to the wrong

place I do promise you tons of calories

carbohydrates and coffee this is freaky eating and welcome to 2019 but first I

dedicate this video to the memory of Nick Hyde longtime fan of the channel

who recently passed away I wish your family my condolences

especially your brother Adam who brought this to my attention thank you for

watching and supporting everything I've done up here what's up everybody welcome

to a special new year challenge but there's no way I'm gonna get through

this without a cup of coffee now let's see if we can rail through 10,000

calories in one hour to ring in the New Year and with no fanfare no BS no Stalin

it's time to get right in we're gonna start off with the panettone which is an

Italian sweet bread usually used to commemorate major holidays as was

actually said to me by Josh Hockett fellow competitive eater and fitness man

so Thank You Josh this would not have been possible without you and to be

honest I've actually never eaten and panettone before so we're gonna find out

what this is all about

kind of what it looks like it looks like a looks like a giant cupcake crazy

it's got fruits nuts smells not too sweet I've always thought of this is

like an Italian fruitcake but I've never actually had one this is a actually a

very special brand of panettone it's not the one down but I would find on my

local store so let's dig into it this thing is two and a quarter pounds and

right along with everything else on the table I'm gonna give myself an hour on

this here fancy timer so here we go not to sleep

promise' more like bread and pancake

Joshua Hockett is a real fitness and nutrition expert both by education and

by spending year is working in the field I have his Instagram link below he's got

an interest in food challenges and I appreciate his interest in leading me in

new directions

mostly bread was very small like fruit pieces in there I'm like a fruit cake

was like mostly fruit enough in the past he's helped me to set up a special

Christmas challenge it was a 13 pound feast so I got that link down below if

you want to check it out panettone which I've never eaten before is a seasonal

Italian dessert bread made with nuts and candied fruits a good cross-section now

and it's pretty awesome just to eat maybe an inner portion just

a little flake in there it's raisins in here orange pieces they're really good

whatever is it good we did it this particular brand uses ingredients that

are sourced from Italy the panettone as an item dates back to the 1880s and is

appropriate for any holiday or celebration it seems to be most popular

at Christmas it isn't too sweet but it comes across as a soft flaky sweet bread

that pairs well with black coffee it's been a long time since I filmed a long

video at home with me speaking on camera looking at the camera

so hopefully the awkwardness fades away pretty quickly I'm gonna be doing more

of these into a nineteen it's not super sleep but after a while you've had

enough the panettone you see here is actually 2.2 pounds not too 1/4 but it

was legitimately 3,600 calories worth of food

seriously the recent Santa was probably too much peanut butter cut for one day

but sometimes you got to go big before you can go home

altogether the food on the table is about five and a half pounds worth

unfortunately none of it is easy to eat I ran out of coffee early but thankfully

I had two bottles of green tea handy the same kind of green tea that I want to

drink two gallons of but I'm not drinking two gallons today though on

that one cuz I should nothing in the box here

just use it to prop stuff up para that was my first time eating a panettone it

was most excellent definitely two and a quarter pounds is a bit much for one

sitting let's move on that was the main actual the main attraction here that's

actually the single biggest item was the panettone at two and a quarter pounds it

was about 3600 calories so we're gonna move on see some of the other things

here it's a new item her she is with Reese's Pieces inside there's no way

this is a bad thing you can see the pieces like through the chocolate

it's like Reese's Pieces enrolled in Hershey's took an awesome thing and made

it even better

Snickers salty and sweet I've never seen before

actually I'm guessing it's like a very standard snicker bar but it's got some

salted caramel in there oh no I'm doing the way on that one it's too similar to

a Snickers bar for me to even care I

don't know how many calories are in this we're gonna have to look it up online

it's a garage Ferrero Rocher so giant chocolate it's a bit harder to open in

the small ones get around this products been around for a couple years but never

actually had one before Wow Oh little plastic tablets have no idea oh well

fortunately a broke that's kind of like an ornament like Christmas tree ornament

so you have an outer shell and with two small Ferrero Rocher is inside

same stuff actually excuse me little crispy pieces like chocolate

crispy pieces and hazelnut pieces inside of chocolate the same chocolate as that

but consider that being in the ball form it's like an outer shell form cannot

imagine a crunch bar

tell these guys better waste

here you get that hazelnut filling which you don't have on the outer shell this

is more genius Reese's stuffed with the recent pizzas giant half pound cups it's

just over 2,000 calories in that box and again how you go wrong with this get an

out little chore yeah there you go look at that thing

obviously the proportions always off on these is just the chocolate also has too

thick too much peanut butter inside but you have the addition of the Reese's

Pieces which I think will make it better

getting some serious dry mouth over here

that's a beauty right there

the other solution I can build you

want to come be on time to the Etica

those giant Reese's peanut butter cups were so dry probably because they're

about a year old it's tough to eat this much candy

I also got a crazy phone call from a supervisor while filming I took the call

only because I needed something to distract me from a difficulty of

chopping through so much candy sugar when it's just pure sugar can be a beast

now I know the old fashioned donut was pretty random but it was a nice way to

add a couple hundred calories and to get a break from all the chocolate okay

it's an old old-fashioned doing it it's nice to break up the texture here in the

chocolate getting a bit much eating this much sugar was rough for challenging

hence this was a true challenge the giant chocolate sound

can't tell how much time is left or has passed

this is a peanut butter cup Santa so chocolate on the outside peanut butter

on the inside but no Reese's Pieces unfortunately wow that thing is plain

thick his head first proportionate on this one away off wage miss chocolate

the giant Hershey's kiss has survived but it will be part of my next mega

calorie video eating 10,000 calories in one hour is doable but the particular

mix of foods you go for is crucial

whoa the grin for oval shape has about 800 calories hold down all the calories

they

suddenly very hard to eat this

well I've eaten Santa now so I'm just eating the chimney think it's so dry

because an old chocolate I think got it last Christmas not even sure my makeup

the hour

it doesn't even taste like chocolate anymore

pretty soon I've got some special themed videos coming up for the Super Bowl and

for Valentine's Day but before that in January I will have some mega spicy

challenges and some snack packs going online

and I think that's as far as we're gonna get because we're almost at a time on

the sand clock yeah there's no way I'm gonna get through into our pound of

Hershey's that was far more miserable I thought it would be look like fun at the

outset less fun is telling on so I do want some dessert though it's about at a

time but I've got some ice cream sandwiches

know what better way to cap off tennis sugar and with even more sugar

actually makes it better if you count the ice-cream sandwich at the end which

was 180 calories I reached about 97 hundred calories very close to my goal

of 10,000 but no cigar well I guess a diet starts Monday but if you count the

giant Hershey's kiss that I couldn't get to this would have been a twelve

thousand calorie challenge of course you know Happy New Year thank you everyone

who watched this video hit that like button if you enjoyed it and subscribe

today so you don't miss out on new food videos and mega calorie challenges that

are coming in 2019 till we eat again stay in school don't do drugs and eat

like a freak

Kendall Jenner Raw Story: Kris Teases Big Revelation | Heavy.com - Duration: 7:13.

Kendall Jenner Raw Story: Kris Teases Big Revelation | Heavy.com

Kendall Jenner will reveal a "raw story" on her Twitter page on Sunday, January 6, 2019, Kris Jenner says.

But Kendall's mom didn't give any clues about what it will be, other than to express how proud she is of her daughter.

That has the rumor mill churning.

Kris Jenner made the announcement on her Instagram page on January 5, 2019, and she included a video that shows Kendall referring to the revelation – again, without revealing what it will be about.

Kendall Jenner did provide a clue that, whatever it is or was, she has been dealing with the issue since she was 14.

Here's what you need to know:.

Kris Jenner Says She's Proud of Kendall for Being Brave & Vulnerable.

       .

In the Instagram post, Kris expressed her pride in Kendall.

"I'm so proud of my darling @KendallJenner for being so brave and vulnerable" she wrote.

"Seeing you share your most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you've become.

Make sure to watch Kendall's Twitter on Sunday night to find out what I'm talking about and be prepared to be moved.

#bethechange #shareyourstory #changetheconversation #proudmom #finallyasolution #authenticity #mydaughterinspiresme #getready.".

Kris made the same announcement on her Twitter page.

In the video that accompanied that post, Kendall, wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt, says, "When I was 14, I couldn't reach as many people as I can now.

Now that I'm 22 and I have this whole thing behind me, I can speak to so many people and just be like, 'I can help you.

And it's OK. And I experienced it.

I'm very normal. And I understand it.

I can connect with you.' I'm going to try and help." The video fades to a black screen with the words "Connect With Kendall." The video concludes with the date: January 6, 2019.

When will the announcement unfold? No time was given for the "raw story" announcement.

The video was watched more than 1.5 million times in four hours.

Kendall Jenner has a massive social media following with 101 million Instagram followers and 27 million Twitter followers.

That means that she will have a large audience for her announcement.

Her most recent Twitter post on January 5, 2019 dated to New Year's and read, "happy new year! i hope it's so so wonderful to you ".

On Instagram, her most recent post on January 5 was also a New Year's post in which she highlighted that she was wearing the color green.

She's also posted a lot of modeling shots of herself lately and a picture of her reclining in a private jet.

What could the raw story be about? It's anyone's guess, although Kendall has been open in the past about her struggles with anxiety, including panic attacks.

"I have such debilitating anxiety because of everything going on that I literally wake up in the middle of the night with full-on panic attacks," Kendall once told Harper's Bazaar.

In that interview, she also described "how OCD I can get over the littlest things.

If something isn't going the way I planned, I freak out.

Some days I just want to go live on a farm and not talk to anyone and just exist in the middle of nowhere.".

In February 2018, she also discussed her anxiety, attributing it in part to traumatic incidents in her life, including when her sister Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris, ABC News reports.

She revealed that she was also a victim of a robbery.

On the family's show, she recounted how she had tried "acupuncture, meditation and sound bathing" to deal with the anxiety issue.

She has also dealt with acne issues, revealing those issues started around age 13.

"never let that sh*t stop you! " she wrote after being criticized for hitting a red carpet with visible acne.

Let's Learn Chinese - How to Apologize in Chinese (feat. FAN BINGBING) ) - Duration: 7:07.

Hey guys, Cinnabarhorse here with another video on learning Chinese

Today our topic is going to be

Learning how to apologize in Chinese

Which is something, if you've just come to China

You'll probably be doing that a lot

Because you're not really familiar with the culture too much

Our source material for today, it's gonna be a letter

Written by the queen of Chinese entertainment herself

Fan Bingbing

Don't know if you guys are familiar with Fanbingbing

She's a huge celebrity in China, I mean everyone knows her

And recently, about

Well last year now, in 2018

She mysteriously disappeared!

No one really knows where she went

A couple months later, that was in June or July

So a couple months later, she mysteriously resurfaced

And when she resurfaced, there was a letter that she wrote on Weibo

Weibo is the Chinese version of Twitter

So today we're gonna be reading through that apology letter

And we're gonna talk about some of the vocabulary within it

So here we go

Ahem

Recently I have endured an unprecedented amount of pain

Undergoing deep self-reflection and introspection.

I feel ashamed and guilty for what I did

And here, I offer my sincere apology to everyone.

For a long period of time, I did not uphold the responsibility of safeguarding the interests of my country

And our society against my personal interests.

In the movie Unbreakable Spirit and other projects

I feel ashamed that I committed tax evasion by taking advantage of "split contracts."

Throughout these days of my cooperation with the taxation authorities' investigation of my accounts as well as my company's

I have realized that, as a public figure, I should've observed the law, setting a good example for society and the industry.

I shouldn't have lost my ability to govern myself in the face of economic interests

Leading myself to break the law

Here I sincerely apologize to society,

Friends who care about me, the public and the taxation authorities.

I completely accept the penalties given by the taxation authorities after their thorough investigation.

I will follow the final order given by the taxation authorities

And will do my best to raise funds to pay back the taxes and fines.

I have been an art lover since I was a child

And I'm also fortunate to have been part of the rise of the film and television industries.

Thanks to guidance from veterans as well as love from the audience

Together with my own hard work

I have achieved a bit of success in my career

As an actor, I take pride in showcasing our country's culture on the global stage

And I do my best to be in the forefront of this

My success owes to the support from my country and the people.

Without the great policies of the Communist Party and the country

Without the love of the people, there would be no Fan Bingbing.

Today I'm facing enormous fears and worries over the mistakes I made!

I have failed the upbringing my country gave me

And failed society's support and trust, and the love of my devoted fans!

I offer my sincere apology here once again! Please forgive me, everyone!

I believe that, after this incident

I will uphold the law and respect orders, as well as taking my responsibilities.

While I will continue to produce great work for everyone

I will keep a close eye on my company's management to ensure that my company abides by the law

Building it into a great company that is cultured and has high integrity,

In order to spread positive energy to society!

Again, I apologize to society and my devoted fans,

As well as to my friends and family who care about me.

I sincerely say: I am sorry!

All right guys, there it is! Fan Bingbing's apology letter, read in Mandarin Chinese

I hope you guys enjoyed that, and I hope you were able to keep up and follow along with me

For those of you who are more beginners

I wanna tell you real quick how to apologize in a simple way in Chinese

There's two ways that most people will apologize in Mandarin

The first way is by saying Duibuqi

Saying Duibuqi is a very sincere way of apologizing in Chinese

And the most common time when you would use this is when you really want to apologize

Just like Fan Bingbing said: Sincerely tell everyone, Duibuqi

So maybe if you work at a company in China

And you have a very important presentation coming up

But you forget your Powerpoint! Oh god, that's terrible, right?

So you would say to your boss or to whoever you're presenting it to

You would say, ah sorry, I forgot to bring my PPT

So you're very sorry, you're very sincere

Or maybe if you're breaking up with a girl, you might say

Sorry, we're not right for each other

Sorry, we're just not right for each other

So those are two ways where you can use the word Duibuqi

The other way, the second way to say I'm sorry in Chinese is to say Buhaoyisi

And what does this mean? It means more like saying, My bad in Chinese

It's not that sincere, it could just be a small, insignificant thing that happened

So for example, you're on the subway and you step on someone's foot

You would say to that person, you would say Oh, Buhaoyisi!

Or maybe you're in a shopping mall and you have your pushcart

And you accidentally hit someone with your pushcart

Again, you would say Buhaoyisi

So for insignificant, common, and trivial things that would happen in China

That's when you would say Buhaoyisi

John Legend Condemns R. Kelly In New Docuseries | Heavy.com - Duration: 5:50.

News24 - Louis van Gaal explains Klopp's Liverpool will see off Man City in title battle - Duration: 5:27.

Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is backing Jurgen Klopp to beat Pep Guardiola to the Premier League –after hailing the Liverpool boss as a superior coach to his Manchester City rival

Van Gaal, 67, reckons the Reds will take the title off the champions, despite seeing their lead at the top slashed to four points by the 2-1 defeat at the Etihad on Thursday night

The Dutchman believes City possess better players – but insists that Klopp is giving Guardiola a masterclass in coaching

Van Gaal is a seven-time title winner in Holland, Spain and Germany, who bossed United to fourth and fifth-placed finishes in his two seasons at Old Trafford

He said: "Klopp has turned Liverpool into an absolute fighting machine – both attacking and defending

"So, if I was to put my money on one club for the league, it would be Liverpool

"Liverpool's team is not based on the highest quality when it comes to their players

In fact, the highest quality players are at City.  "But, at the same time, that is the weakness in Guardiola

He only coaches his teams in an attacking way. Always.  "The moment his team have to defend, they look terrible

Liverpool have a team that can defend much better.  "That's because Klopp has trained them to be a fighting force, whether they have the ball or not

That's exactly what is lacking in Guardiola's team now.  "City have fabulous football ideas and a sparkling way of playing – but not the right fighting spirit

"Don't get me wrong, I still love to watch the way City play. But the way Klopp makes Liverpool play is absolutely fantastic

"  City blew the title race wide open by ending Liverpool's unbeaten start to the season

And now the Merseysiders face the first test of their resolve, with a trip to Wolves in the FA Cup tomorrow, followed by a Premier League visit to Brighton next weekend

City have home games against Rotherham and Burton in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup semi-finals, respectively, before resuming their title defence against Wolves at the Etihad on Monday week

But Van Gaal felt the thrill-a-minute clash at the Etihad illustrated the strengths of Klopp's team and the weaknesses that Guardiola has to address

He said: "The match proved to me that City cannot defend.  "When Liverpool equalised, there were enough City defenders around the box to prevent it

"But most of the time, in the Premier League, City don't have to defend because they outplay most opponents

"When they face a strong side like Liverpool, you can see that the City players are not able to defend properly

They look erratic.  "Liverpool deserve applause because most teams cannot force Man City into a situation where they have to defend

"Liverpool did push them at one point in the second half and then we could see that City were in trouble

Just look at Roberto Firmino, he hardly touched the ball, but his amount of running for the team was incredible

"Klopp also has Sadio Mane and even Mo Salah running their socks off in all matches

"Those three help the others to defend and they also have the energy to counter-attack and create things when they win the ball back

"Having said that, I am glad that City beat Liverpool because it has made this title race even more sensational

"The excitement is huge right now. Three teams can still become champions – because we can't rule Tottenham out

"But, if you ask me which of the title chasers has the best team, I will say Klopp

"Liverpool's players have a bigger desire to win the title and that will help them win the league

For me, Liverpool just want it more than the Man City players."

Arsenal player ratings as Gunners ease past Blackpool in the FA Cup - Duration: 4:39.

Arsenal booked themselves an FA Cup fourth round place with a comfortable win over League One Blackpool at Bloomfield Road

Young midfielder Joe Willock scored twice in the first half for Unai Emery's much-changed side, as they eased past the Tangerines

Teenage forward Eddie Nketiah missed two early opportunities before Willock handed the Gunners the lead, the 19-year-old reacting quickest after Aaron Ramsey's free-kick hit the post

And Willock added a second eight minutes before the break, tapping in from close range

Alex Iwobi added a third late in the second period, the Nigerian international netting from four yards after Ramsey had been denied by Blackpool's substitute keeper Christopher Mafoumbi

Arsenal lost skipper Laurent Koscielny in the warm up but never looked threatened by Terry McPhillips' side

Here are the Arsenal player ratings from Seasiders' Way. Petr Cech - 6  Solid when called upon, notably with one fine early stop

Carl Jenkinson - 6  Called into the side late following Laurent Koscielny's injury

Played a part in the second goal and got forward to good effect, but looked rusty defensively

Stephan Lichtsteiner - 5  A serial winner at Juventus, he must have felt a world away from the Allianz Stadium at a scarcely-populated Bloomfield Road

Only moves in slow motion these days, but that was enough here (albeit thanks to Sokratis)

Sokratis - 7  A good display from the Greek international, who kept things simple

Had to cover the errors of teammates on more than one occasion to ensure a clean sheet

Sead Kolasinac - 5  Didn't get forward as much as we're used to seeing when he plays wing-back - playing in a four suits him far less - and was booked for a foul on Delfouneso

Mohamed Elneny - 6  Against limited opposition, he did the basics well and ensured Arsenal's defence was protected

Aaron Ramsey - 7  Busy performance from the Welshman, who looked a cut above without ever really needing to get out of second gear, all while Arsenal fans sung for him to stay

Ainsley Maitland Niles - 6  Shown his versatility since returning from injury and operated on the right wing here; an intelligent player, he made good runs to trouble the Blackpool defence early on, but faded as the game wore on

Joe Willock - 8  Two goals and a very good display from the 19-year-old. Showed smart reactions to net both his goals and made a number of fine off-the-ball runs, operating in an advanced midfield role

Alex Iwobi - 8 MOTM  Played with threat and purpose on Arsenal's left side, causing Blackpool problems with his running power and ability to beat a man; the Tangerines struggled to contain him, he showed willingness to dig in defensively, got his goal, and, all things considered, was the best player on the pitch

Eddie Nketiah - 5  A sharp mover in the penalty area but his finishing badly let him down; an opportunity missed

SUBS: Lacazette 6 (Nketiah 64'), Medley N/A (Kolasinac 83'), Saka N/A (Iwobi 86')  Blackpool XI: Howard (Mafoumbi 69'); Nottingham, O'Conner, Daniels, Bola; Taylor (Pritchard 62'), Spearing, Guy; Delfouneso, Gnanduillet (Davies 83'), Feeney  Attendance: 8,955

The Most Iconic Men of Omega | SwissWatchExpo - Duration: 5:43.

From SwissWatchExpo…

Spotlight On: The Iconic Men of Omega.

The most influential men to wear an Omega timepiece.

Throughout its 170 years of watchmaking history, Omega has graced the wrists of many important

men, on and off the planet.

Best known for their history of underwater and space exploration, Omega watches have

incredibly stunning design and technical expertise worthy of attention — but it sure didn't

hurt to be associated with men of influence.

From JFK and Elvis, to James Bond and Prince William, here are the most iconic men to ever

wear an Omega watch.

In 1969, the Apollo 11 mission achieved the first manned lunar landing.

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin became the second of the astronauts to step on the moon, all while

wearing his Omega Speedmaster reference 105.012 - thus making it the first watch to traverse

the surface of the moon.

This historic event earned the Omega Speedmaster Professional the name "MoonWatch" and

made it one of the most significant watches of the 21st century.

Until today, Omega remains the official watch of NASA.

Jacques-Yves Cousteau, the most famous underwater explorer of modern times, also contributed

to the making of an Omega.

The French oceanographer, diver, inventor and filmmaker led hundreds of marine expeditions,

paving the way for future explorers.

Together with oil research firm Comex, he helped design the Omega Seamaster PloProf

short for Plongeuer Professionnel or Professional Diver in French.

The massive 45mm watch was the first watch to be able to withstand depths of 600m before

the Rolex SeaDweller was launched.

The watch remains extremely popular among professional divers, both for its capabilities

and its history.

Elvis Presley was the most popular name in the music scene, when he was drafted to serve

in the United States Army in 1958.

Despite having the opportunity to entertain troops and live in special housing, he chose

instead to serve as a regular soldier, earning the respect of many.

He wore an Omega Constellation with dauphine hands and a black dial during his service.

Elvis later gifted the watch to his longtime friend Charlie Hodge, and was eventually auctioned

off by Antiquorum in 2012.

It came with a letter written by Hodge stating its authenticity.

John F. Kennedy wore an Omega Ultra Thin ref.

OT3980, when he took his oath of office as President of the United States.

The rectangular gold watch on a black leather strap, was gifted to him by then Florida senator

Grant Stockdale.

On its caseback was the dedication "President of the United States John F. Kennedy from

his friend Grant."

Interestingly, Stockdale gave the watch to JFK months before his win in November.

It is now in the Omega Museum in Bienne, Switzerland.

British royalty Prince William is often seen wearing an Omega as his everyday watch: the

Omega Seamaster 300m mid-size, with the emblematic blue dial and bezel.

The watch has real sentimental value to the Prince.

It is said to be a present from his late mother, Lady Diana.

Fitted with a metal strap and a rotating bezel, he wears the sporty watch even with suits.

It's also the same watch that he wore during his wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011.

And last but not the least is James Bond.

While he's a fictional character, the British spy has made his mark in pop culture, all

while showcasing the abilities of his choice watch: the Omega Seamaster.

In 1995, Omega won the bid to be the official watch of Agent 007; and Bond has worn no other

watch since then.

The Omega Seamaster 300 Spectre was the latest of Bond's watches; worn by Daniel Craig

in the 2015 movie Spectre.

With a 20-year partnership, there will certainly be many more.

Omega watches are the perfect combination of comfort and elegance – no wonder it has

accompanied influential men in important undertakings.

Which one was your favorite?

Clickfunnels Autoresponders - How to Connect to any Autoresponder - Duration: 11:19.

Well, hello and welcome

to another episode I have I

had a issue earlier this week that

had to do with my domain and

changing the names and

Trying to figure out how to sync click funnels and my autoresponder

And I had a major meltdown. It was like for three days. I just couldn't do anything

I was stuck. I was frustrated

I tried to talk to the lady. I text the lady on Sendlane my autoresponder and she was like

"I don't know what you doing wrong." And I'm like "You need to help me."

She's like, we'll talk to clickfunnels and I'm like, well, what help are you? Okay, so that's my issue. That's what was going on

This week during my journey. So we're gonna go into more detail. I'ma show you how

To actually set up your domain and set up your autoresponder and all of that other stuff with clickfunnels

But I'm also going to show you how to do everything step-by-step so you don't get into the same funk that I did also

I'm great on the frugal. I want to make sure that I save money

so if I save money you save money, so I also I'm gonna show you how to pick your

domain provider

And all that good jazz, so stick with me

I gotta take a shower because I just watched walk the dog and I stink, but I'll be back. Peace

Okay guys as promised

I was going to talk to you about things that you need to set up

Before you can tell, before you can link your autoresponder to your clickfunnels

So I did not do these things in order and it cost me about three days. And so

For all of the newbies everybody who is just starting out

I wanted to make sure that you understand what you're doing and what you need to have in place before you

Can hook up click funnels to your autoresponder or else is going to take you three days and you could possibly get

Frustrated and possibly quit and I don't want you to quit. I want to make sure that you

can do this because you can do this and give you all the information and tools you need to make a

informed and

Decisive decision. So I'm going to go through all the lists first and then on subsequent videos

I'm gonna tell you how to do all of these things so it doesn't get too long

Okay. So the first thing you need to do is get a domain

so a domain is basically your web address. It is the address to your

Website or your capture page. Okay

And so if you have a physical like you have physical address

Your web address tells the computer or the Internet where

Your stuff is. Where your website is. Where your sales funnel is.

So you need to get a domain that is my that is majorly

important. If you do not get a domain all the rest of the steps are going to be useless

Luckily though clickfunnels has a system where they will give you your first free domain

So if you didn't already set up your hero funnel

You can already get a domain for free and you can use that for your sales funnels or your capture page. Okay, so

free yay. Love free. Okay, so click funnels will give it to you for free. So that's your domain

It should be already taken care of

The next thing you have to do is get a custom email address. Now click funnels has something called actionetics it cost more money

But it will they will give you custom email addresses or you can go and find other

Email addresses that will hook up in link to click funnels

And that's what I did and so I will talk to you about that one the next step

after I talk about domains, we'll talk about how to

Set up your custom email address how to find them and everything like that

The problem is you cannot use an AOL Gmail

Outlook MSN yahoo!

Account because it looks spammy. So once you send emails once you start your email marketing

campaign. Once you start sending emails to your subscribers or your clients the actual email

places will think that it is spam and you won't get recognized and they will send those emails back

So you have to get a custom email address. So that's the second thing that you need to setup. Ok, after that

what is gonna take a little while also setting the

domain set up is gonna take a little while on the back end you can get the domain but for

Whatever host site that you use to get your domain, it's gonna take them a little while to get stuff rolling

That's why you want to get this first after that

You need to set up the connection between your private email

Address and click funnels and that's going to take a little while too, a few hours

So you need to go ahead and set that up after you get your custom email address so you don't wait waste so much time

Okay. Now you cannot get your private email address until you get your domain.

Okay until your domain is actually set up. Your custom email address will not be able to link to it

So you need to actually get the domain when they, when your host says ok. Yes, you can go ahead

You're all set up then you can get your custom email address and then after that you want to immediately set up your private email

address to actually connect to clickfunnels and that way

You can save some time. So the next thing you need to do is create a list in your autoresponder

and once you have your domain or setup

Then you can automatically create your list and your email address you automatically create your list

so these two steps can happen at the same time so that all works out and

I will show you how to do that and I'm with Sendlane but there are many different

autoresponders that will send out automatic emails, you know Aweber Get Response Sendlane, whatever you're in

MailChimp

all of these

Autoresponders basically work the same way and in order to set up your clickfunnels account

You have to have your list set up an autoresponder first, okay

After that, then you need to set up the autoresponder

Integration and click funnels, which is a pretty easy step

It took me a long time to figure it out in Sendane because I was typing in something wrong and

me and Sendlane's

Customer service rep. We're not figuring out how to do it. Luckily. I figured out how to do it. So

Luckily me reading and trying to find out more information. Got me to figure it out

But if you don't have the patience like I do I'll show you how to do it even

With SendLane because I think Sendlane is the hardest one to setup. Okay?

and last but not least if you have done the steps backwards like I have or

Someone has shared a whole click funnel with you and all you had to do was change and edit the click funnel

So you already have your actual

funnel or sales page already set up or you've already started with setting up the funnel

Now you need to make sure that your domain and your funnels match

Okay

So you need to make sure that you setup the domain

and your capture page together so that when people actually type in your domain name into the

web address

Search bar

Then it will send them to your actual capture page

because if you don't then they'll just be out in the white void of the word wide web which is

Not what you want when you're trying to make money

so you want to send them you need to make sure that your domain and your

Clickfunnels actually match up and meet

So that is a major step

That you have to do and this is all that you need to do to make sure that you set up your autoresponder

Correctly to make sure that your autoresponder and clicks links not click links click funnels

Excuse me, make sure that those actually are

connected because if they don't connect then you'll have problems getting emails, sending emails to your subscriber list, and

also, you won't have people going where they need to go and

Since this is a step-by-step process. We need to make sure you do the steps in the process

Or you won't see the success that you need to and there's nothing worse than having technical difficulties, you know

just ask you know Obama when the

Actual what was that called? The the insurance the Obamacare came out?

You know, there's only you only get one time to make a first impression. And so when people come to your

Sales funnel and it doesn't look right or it's off or it's not giving you the information that you need

Because it's not set up correctly

Then people are gonna think hmm. You're not business oriented. You don't know what you're doing

I'm not working with you and that is not something that you want people to think about

Okay, so this is what you need to do to set it up correctly in the next videos

I will tell you how you need to set it up step by step

It also gives you some frugal techniques and some things that I did in looking at all of the different

websites and everything else. The domain

hosting and the email address and everything like that

basically thinking about your business, especially if you're just starting out and finances are a

issue

You need to make sure that you actually think about all the different, all these different things and what the costs are

So those are some things that I'll go into and future videos

So if I provided you any value in this video

please like and subscribe to my channel where I'm giving free fresh new daily videos and I

Want to make sure that you are know what's going on and are ready to roll as I'm rolling

also if

You want to find out more information about

clickfunnels and how to set up a click funnel account and maybe about

autoresponders and Sendlane. I'm gonna leave links to those in the description below so

Until next time good people be blessed. Take care, and I'll see you on the other side
