- Okay, friends.
I know several of you have been waiting for this haul
because the other day I shared that shop with me video
and I bought like 16 pregnancy tests
and you're like Jamerrill, what's happening.
So, I'm gonna show you those.
We'll chat more about this in the video.
Gonna show you everything from Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree,
to thrift stores and Walmart.
So let's look at what I got.
Okay, so first, we're down here at the Hobby Lobby
side of the table.
And yes, I got myself,
this was a small letterboard, and what was so neat,
I'm showing you this in case you didn't know
because I didn't know that the letters come with it.
I was there with the board in my hand in Hobby Lobby
looking like where's the letter sets, but they come with it.
So it says the price on here, if you can see in there,
it'd be like $27 and I got it for 50% off.
Plan to put this underneath my kitchen cabinets
near our TV.
I'm excited to join this very late letterboard train.
Also, now this is a precious creative idea.
So my mama has a December birthday
and we realized, whenever we're going through the presents,
that we gave her her birthday and Christmas presents
for her birthday, so we needed to get something else
special for her for her Grandmother Christmas
and we're not seeing her until later,
towards the end of New Year's week.
All that to say, while looking in Hobby Lobby,
we saw this Prayer Changes Things board.
This says $21.99.
I don't remember, honestly, if this was a sale or not,
but it probably was.
My total Hobby Lobby receipt was like $41,
and there's some beads and things
that Naomi has already added to her stash
that we got as well.
Anyway, listen to this precious idea.
So obviously, it looks like a board
where you can put different prayers that you have prayed,
different reminders, different people
that you're praying for, like if you need to pray
for a boy named Johnny, you could write Johnny's name
and stick it up there, and when you need a reminder
and when you have your prayer time,
you can just look at the different names and needs.
Awesome idea.
And Naomi's additional idea to this
is that everyone in our family
is going to write Grandmother a special prayer.
So like Naomi will write a prayer,
something along the lines of
thank you, Jesus, for my grandmother.
I thank you that she has a wonderful day today
and she has a great time with her horse
and she has a safe five mile walk
and that her dog is doing well
and that you help her work out thing she's working out
and bless her with peace and sweet sleep
and you get the idea.
So this prayer would be written from Naomi
to Jesus for Grandmother
and that piece of paper, we're gonna stick here.
And then Grandmother can hang it up at home
and she can go through at any time
and read different prayers her family has prayed for her.
I just thought, Naomi, that is a fantastic spin
on this prayer board idea.
I love it, I love it, I love it.
And Grandmother is quite flamboyant,
so we got her a big, huge bow.
Amelia picked out this little bird cage
to go with her dollhouse.
Now her dollhouse is not on the table,
and if you remember from the video,
we did not get the huge Barbie Dream House, as she calls it,
that we were looking at.
She picked a $4 smaller dollhouse,
just one that can get dirty, fumble around with,
play with it in the car.
And she picked this bird cage and it says $3.99,
but we got it for half off,
so there's Amelia's little $1.99 bird cage.
Now these are treats for Mama.
This is for me, myself, and I.
So these earrings look beautiful.
They were not marked down in any way,
but I still thought, you know, $3.99 for two pairs,
$5.99 for this glitz and glam one,
and you'll be seeing these in upcoming videos.
Those are my little treat to myself.
And that is what we got at Hobby Lobby.
Okay.
So then, Dollar Tree.
I picked up calendars.
I saw them and I thought, you know what,
several of the kids would love to have
their own calendar and a calendar by their bed
so this is Gabriel, Liam, Amelia, and Naomi.
And we're gonna go through this evening
and write family birthdays, special events,
things to look forward to on their calendars.
I just thought that would be fun.
I also got this Maze Craze book.
You know me if you've been watching here for a while.
I love to keep a nice collection
of Dollar Tree workbooks and such.
I have a nice box full of them.
And so some of these look like they'd be more for Liam.
Some of them look like they might be for Amelia.
Some of them might be more for Gabriel.
We'll just have a maze book available.
This, you know, Daniel Joel Paw Patrol.
Yes, yes.
I think he's had this coloring book before,
but he will love working through it again.
And then Amelia, of course, still loves all things Frozen
so we found this basic geometry book
and it just looks like something that her and her daddy
can work through during our home school time.
Travis is our local mathematician.
Then Amelia also got this mirror.
She said I've always wanted a mirror like this
so this is another Amelia treat too.
And then, yes, okay ladies.
So I keep a big stash of Dollar Tree pregnancy tests.
If I get a positive on one of these,
then I will get a more expensive test,
but these were only a dollar.
So for $16, I've got a shelf full in my bathroom.
And no, I am not pregnant.
However, Benjamin has pulled back on his nighttime nursing
and usually, when I have babies that stop nursing at night,
he's 17 months old now, at some point along the way,
we're expecting another baby.
The earliest I've ever gotten pregnant
was between Gabriel and Liam,
and Gabriel was about 10 months old,
and then all the way up to three years.
So the child spacing is about 19-20 months
all the way up to three and a half years.
I am 39 this year, so that's my TMI video
and I will pop up some of my large family mom baby stories
and baby reveals and all of that here
and link those down in the description below.
I've also heard some mamas say,
cause you know, large family moms,
we talk about stuff like this all the time,
think there can be trouble if it evaporates too long.
I think you sometimes can get a false positive with these.
I've heard different tales.
I think it's the test with the blue lines
that you want instead of red.
Maybe I have that backwards, but anyway, Dollar Tree tests.
I've gotten lots of positives on them over the years
and that's cool.
Okay.
Thrift store.
Not the betta.
betta, Bubba the betta, not yet.
At the thrift store, I got this three-pack of trays.
These are gonna go through the dishwasher with some bleach.
I've been collecting extra water bottles
because we have a ton of evening activities this winter
with tap and with jazz and with basketball
and with Tae Kwon Do.
Kids are always needing water bottles.
So this one Wonder Woman one, 99 cents.
This was a nice big one for 99 cents.
99 cents.
This was like a quarter.
And then, adding to my coffee cup collection
because I love to just break my cups slowly,
I can do all things
for I can do everything through Christ
who gives me strength.
Philippians 4:13.
This was a whole dollar.
Says the same thing on the other side
So kids will drink milk out of it.
I'll drink coffee out of it.
It'll be all good.
And then the thing I'm super happy with is
this grubby old pack of trays.
I have not wiped them off yet or cleaned them up,
but they did come with a tray holder
and you can see in my last haul video
I did a price comparison.
One of these trays at Walmart was just under $9.
And so this whole pack of four with the holder
was only $9.99, and once I clean them up, it'll be perfect.
These are helpful.
Like whenever we have a lot of kids doing school,
I could have Zion spread out in here
and he might be taking up over half of the table.
And there may be, maybe Naomi will be in here,
maybe Gabriel, I might have a kid or two
at the kitchen counter, but then also,
when kids come through and Travis and I work with them,
there's just so many different times
where they might need a little table
to set up at the bench or the futon or whatever.
So I have wanted these for a while.
Sometimes it seems like we're all doing school
in the kitchen and that people are balancing books
on the bench.
It's like no, we need a table.
So again, I know we'll use that.
Okay, the betta.
So we had a family member send us a family gift card
and this betta is what we got as our family treat.
Now, I will tell you, this is a $60 betta now, okay,
so this betta better be happy.
But sad thing that happened is
I took this little one gallon tank out.
It's plastic and it's already cracked.
So this week, I will be going back and exchanging it.
You know that bettas live in these small little bowls
or containers.
Bubba will be fine in here until we get the tank exchanged.
It's probably gonna be day after tomorrow.
Naomi's already fed him his food this morning.
So I'll do the price breakdown
in case you're thinking of going down this betta road.
Also, growing up, I had two bettas.
I had them for several years.
They are a nice, tranquil pet.
Obviously, you don't put them together in the same bowl
because they're also a Japanese fighting fish,
as they are called.
But they are a nice little pet
and I just really thought the kids
would enjoy having him on the counter.
So the betta was about $10 and his food,
I think was $6 and some change.
Now this floating betta log
ended up costing more than the tank.
This was $15.
I never had these for my bettas growing up,
but it looks like a little accessory that bettas enjoy
so I thought we would try it.
These marbles were only like $2.79.
Same thing with the blue plant.
Now they had the two gallon aquariums marked 50% off.
They were only $12.99 and the one gallon was $14.99,
but I decided, for space saving measures,
to just stick with the one gallon
'cause it's already gonna be more room
than most bettas have.
And then I also got this water conditioner
which was like another $7.
And there we go.
It ended up being $57 and some change for Bubba.
Hey, Bubba.
Over at Walmart.
So, I got these magnetic fake eyelashes
and I'm telling ya, I need to watch more tutorials.
I think our good friend, Sarah, over on Our Tribe of Many,
I saw by one of her titles, she mentioned magnetic eyelashes
so I need to go see if Sarah is teaching us how to do this
or, if you all know any tutorials, I'm excited to try them,
but yeah, I was struggling with it.
Facebook knows I've been talking about magnetic eyelashes
so they are showing me all the magnetic eyelash ads.
That's what I got.
Another treat for myself and can't get 'em on
so let me know what to do.
And a Wet Brush.
We switched to using this Wet Brush brand a few years ago.
Naomi has very thick, naturally curly hair.
Amelia has curly hair.
I have curly hair.
So we invest in these Wet Brushes.
These are almost $10, but I swear by 'em.
I really like using them.
And then, this was something else we needed in our life,
a wrapping paper organizer.
And so, since I don't have a lot of organizing room
in this house, I'm going to,
right now, we have our wrapping paper
kind of just taking up the top shelf in our coat closet.
Gonna put all the wrapping paper in here
and then it'll just live back
in my office/multipurpose room.
And so, tomorrow, I'm gonna film a cook with me,
clean with me, organize with me all day type video
and I will clean these and show you
just how they look all freshened up.
But again, this is my supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Very excited to find those.
Here's the rest of the look.
Just a whole bunch of fun, little hauls
at the end of our wonderful shopping day.
I will see you tomorrow, friends,
with another brand new video.
Bye-bye.
