Rental Cars - Everything You Need to Know - Duration: 6:42.

Rev up your engines, today I'm going to talk about the secrets

of how to rent cars correctly, since I do a lot of traveling around the world

to learn more about cars, and my wife's retired and she like traveling period, I do a lot

of car rentals all over the place, I've had good experiences, bad experiences,

medium experiences, but I'm going to show you how you can have

the best experience possible and spend the least amount of money doing it,

and my first advice is, stay away from really cheap rental places, because when I moved

to Houston in 1979, I used to be a mechanic working at this place called, rent a heap

cheap, I'm not making this up, truth is stranger than fiction, the guy had a fleet of really

junky cars the average price he paid for these cars was about $300 but he was the only guy

in town that would rent you a car without a credit card,

he a $100 deposit that you had to give him cash when you rented a car, so you can image,

if the deposit on renting the car was $100, those cars weren't worth much,

he was actually lucky he wasn't being sued all the time because he sent cars out they

had bald tires and stuff, and I was a mechanic there and we had to fix

them with a tow truck, and if they broke down and had a flat, he's say now go over there

but if it has a nail in the tire, that's their fault and they have to pay to fix the tire,

so really you want to stay away from fly by night places, use regular rental car places,

and when you either go to one, or plan it ahead of time,

check prices in the area you're going to, because if you fly a lot like me, you'll find

that the airports generally rip you off, here's a perfect example, I recently went

to Boston, Logan airport, they wanted $800 to rent a car for 5 days, of that $800, $200

were taxes and airport consignment fees, so I got out my phone, checked around, turns

out that the same company budget rental car, would rent me the same car for half that,

instead of $800 is was $400, it was in Cambridge it wasn't at the airport, so what did I do,

I Ubered it, I found out that it costs me $16 to go from the airport to Cambridge which

was just across the bay in Boston and then I rented the car for $400 instead of $800

and it only cost me $15 to get there, always check the prices in the area you're

going to, you would be amazed, sometimes 5-8 miles away you're going to pay a ton less,

especially if you're starting at an airport, there's plenty of guys that will Uber you

to a car rental place, then when you do rent the car, I use my Chase

business card, because it covers the insurance, you have to check with your own card, but

I have a Chase Corporate card and it gives you very good coverage, don't even buy that

crap the try selling you at the place for $15-20 a day, you got a good credit card it

covers insurance on the car, and of course when it comes to gasoline, don't

buy the tank, one they say we charge $8 a hour to refill it if you don't, hey you can

always fill it up on the way back and realize if you buy the tank, hey you might bring it

back half full, then you got what 10 gallons that you paid for that you never get to use,

just bring it back full it's not that hard to do,

and if you're modern and have a good phone, use Google maps or any app that you like,

don't waste your money getting navigation for the car,

these things, half of them have better software than what they got in the car,

and speaking of phones, use your camera before you take off,

take a picture of the whole car, first the back,

then each side, then the front, because generally they give you some piece

of paper that says, oh the car is ok and doesn't have any dents on it, I've been screwed over

by those sometimes in the past, where they'd say, oh there's a crack in your

windshield now and there didn't used to be one and it wasn't on their list,

you take a picture with your phone with the date and the place,

and then they can't argue, especially with a good phone like this it's got a lot of clarity,

you can zoom in on the picture and show look, the windshield already had that crack, the

bumper already had paint off of it, you want proof and with proof, there's nothing they

can do about it, so a picture is worth a 1000 words, or a 1000

contacts or pieces of paper that that thing is written on, but it's not good if you don't

have the picture, so do that before you take off in that rental car,

now all these pain in the butt things aside, you can have fun with rental cars,

personally what do I do, I rent cars that I normally won't use, like I'll rent a Crysler

or I'll rent a Fiat, I'll rent something that I would never buy just to see how their doing

these days, I mean their all pretty new cars so they shouldn't

break and strand you somewhere you know, and I get to give more people information

that way to if I say, oh here's this new Fiat what's it like, and I get it and I drive it

around and I say, wow that transmission is horrible, slippin and sliding and you feel

every bump on the road, then you know, hey I certainly never want

to buy one of these cars, a lot of places now rent European luxury cars,

I certainly would never buy one their endless money pits as they age, but they are fun to

drive so, if you want to drive one around for a weekend that the heck why not,

now the last thing I'm going to talk about for rental cars are the keys,

normally these days their going to give you two sets of keys and I've had it where I've

lost one set because I'm always losing keys, so if they do give you two sets of keys and

it's one of those modern cars that has the keyless ignition system, they might charge

you $350-400 if you lose one key, so do like I do, give one of the keys to your

wife to put in her purse that's she's never going to lose, and then you got to drive around

with yours, so you have to find it to get around places,

because if you got two and you lose one, it might cost you, $350-400 because you lost

it, so make sure that second key is in a secure location and if it is one of those keyless

ignition system, hey don't throw it in the glove box, because then when you walk away

the car will still be able to start and someone could be able to come in, push the start button

and drive away, so put that in a secure place away from the car,

so now hopefully you learned a little bit from my experience with rental cars, so the

next time you rent one you can have a fun experience and not waste too much of your

money, so if you never want to miss another one of

my new car repair videos, remember to ring that bell!

Living in a Van: Why I Wake Up At 4am | Hobo Ahle - Duration: 10:15.

So I'm gonna do a real quick quick, as quick as I possibly can,

QA and it's gonna be on "why I wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning". So before I

start I do just kind of want to show you guys where you're posted up right here

because it's- it's something.

This is will basically, this is where y'all are sitting today.

So yeah why I wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning... it is definitely

something that I personally choose to do. I don't like have to. And yeah, I know,

anyone that knows what time I wake up and then on top of that hears that it's

a choice ... they think I'm insane. But honestly it has become like my favorite

thing ever like in life. And little side note: I know that there's kind of

like this general assumption I suppose... and of course not amongst everyone, just

there's you know, a large group of people are under the impression that if

you live in a van then you're kind of just I don't know I guess they think

that people are traveling all the time, and not working, and taking advantage of

the system or something I don't really know. But so then it's like well "why

would someone who lives in a vehicle need to have self discipline, and self

control, and be productive, and learn time management, and efficiency, and things

like that?" But it's like- So for the longest time when I first moved into a

vehicle I still had like a physical job where I had to be there at a certain

time and I had to work specific days. Over the course of a couple of years I

converted my lifestyle with the focus being to have more mobility. And so

that's when I really started to try and get like jobs online and see how I could

go about making that successful. Primarily because I wanted to pour more

of my energy into traveling or not necessarily be

like tied down to a specific location. So that definitely took some time and a lot

of effort to be able to transfer all of my work to being location independent.

And I have touched on the subject of like how to find jobs that are good for

traveling or good for this lifestyle and then I've also talked about top 10

websites to aid in actually finding said jobs. So I will be sure and link

those videos for you guys in case that's something that you need some help with.

But anyways, getting back to the point... I managed to create this lifestyle for

myself, which was my goal, but with it came this whole new territory that I had

no idea how to navigate, which was like working for yourself, or you know, setting

your own schedule... because I mean for me it's really easy when you're working for

someone and they're like "okay here's the task, I need you to get this done by 2:00pm"

It's like "alright, cool, got it." Or if you're working like a job but you know

you're working from 9:00 to 5:00... then from 9:00 till 5:00 you are doing work

things and then at 5:00 o'clock that's it, you check out, you're done. But then

working for myself and doing a lot of freelance stuff, that totally just threw

me into the realm of like you set your own schedule, you decide how much work

you do today, you decide IF you're going to work today... and so naturally that

relies heavily on like self discipline and self control. So basically the point

that I'm trying to get at is that regardless of living in vehicles or not

all of those things that I mentioned like productivity, time management,

whatever... those are all still really really important and those are skills

that I was like okay at, but after starting to work mainly through my

laptop those skills definitely needed some improvement. So for the past like I

don't know, at least year or so, I've really really really put a lot of effort

into focusing on how to just do life and I mean like in regards to those things you know what

I'm saying? So I've tried all kinds of things, basically if you guys saw in my

nighttime routine video how I use a planner and I even you know, wrote down

my routine to check it off, that's kind of part of the last year's worth of

experiments. And I mean I honestly don't have enough time to like try and go over

all of the stuff that I have attempted in an effort to be more productive or

whatever, but I will say that one of the things that I tried and that I

absolutely love is waking up early. So in all honesty, I do not know why I chose

4:00 in the morning. I know that like I feel like I wanted to be up before the

Sun that was like.... goals. 5 is like ok in my head, but like it's still kind of late.

And trust me I know that that sounds insane, like 5 o'clock in the morning is

not late like that's that it's early, but for me like in my head that just sounded

late. So I was like you know what? I think I think I'm just gonna go for 4, like

thug life. So I think we finally made it to "why I like waking up at 4 o'clock in

the morning" is because first of all nobody's awake. Like the birds aren't

even really awake okay, like that's something. So I mean really I just enjoy

the quiet time that's one of the reasons is because there's just there's not a

lot going on. And I really really like being awake like at least a couple of

hours before the Sun comes up. For two reasons because 1: that means I get to

see the Sun Rise every day like how cool is that?! And 2: as I mentioned, since

there's not really anyone else awake, it kind of just already starts me off with

this feeling of like "yeah dude, you're- you're getting stuff done" And not in the

sense that like I feel like because I wake up at 4 o'clock in the morning that

like "oh I'm so much better than everyone else cuz I'm up early" It's like no, that

doesn't make me a better person at all, if anything it honestly just makes me

crazy. But what I do mean is that like ok... so since I wake up at 4 o'clock in the

morning then I immediately start like ok I have a morning routine, I've got like

daytime routine, a workflow routine type of thing... so like it just- it just keeps

going and going and going and then by like 10:30 in the morning/ 11 in the

morning I'm like "oh I have done so much" like at that point I'm pretty much done

with all of the important things that I needed to get done that day, they're

usually finished by then. So really anything that I do after 11 o'clock in

the morning it's kind of like bonus points for me. So also by waking up at 4

o'clock in the morning I feel like it just kind of it adds hours to the day. That's

how I feel. I know, math. I know it doesn't, but it just really does feel like it. And

what I will do is in the very beginning of the day it's like it's so

nice because there's I mean it's not like anywhere is open for me to go, it's

like literally "okay what am I going to do?" So what I do, is just like all of the

stuff that's important to me personally. So like this is usually the time where

like I'll meditate, I'll study my Bible, or I'll do some yoga, stuff like that

just- or I'll just sit there... sometimes yeah, I will just sit there and I guess

that's kind of like meditating I don't know... I mean there's a lot of other stuff

that I do in the morning in that like darkest hours of the dawn, but you guys

will see that in a different video so I'm not just gonna like list everything.

The point is is that I feel like I really get time to myself and it's like

kind of exciting because I get to go to sleep knowing that like the first couple

of things I'm gonna do in the morning are all the stuff like my favorite

things. So then that makes my workday go better because I'm not distracted

thinking about like "okay well I have to get all this work done, but like I really

wish I could meditate right now or I really wish I could do this or that or

whatever it is." But it's like no, I don't gotta worry about it because I already did

that stuff. So yeah it just makes my whole workday pretty awesome. And here's

the thing, like I could totally- my bad... I could wake up at like 6 o'clock right?

But I've noticed that just like my personal like

biological clock, like my brain by like 3 p.m. is like- no matter what time I wake

up like even if I sleep in until like noon, my brain by 3 o'clock is like "pffftt are you

crazy? I'm not- I'm done!" So like after that time like I can definitely still do

stuff and I can like force myself to do things that require a lot of thought and

everything, but it's one of those things where it's like whatever task

I'm doing, if I do it at like 8 o'clock in the morning it'll probably get done

like that :snaps fingers: versus I could do that same task and do it at 3 o'clock in the

afternoon and what would normally take me 10 minutes is gonna take me like 30

to 45 minutes and then it keeps going like that. So it's like at a certain

point, for me three o'clock, it's just like not worth it to do that. In all

actuality it saves time if I were to just save it for the next day. So based

on that combined with like I know how much work I typically do in a day, like

how long it takes me, so like dividing all that up timewise in

order to have enough time to do all of the things that I need to get done that

day.... wow! I feel like I was explaining that horribly, hope you got that. Anyways,

with those two things waking up at 4 a.m. is just what works best for me. I

know that waking up that early is not ideal for like most human life forms and

I'm not necessarily suggesting that you should try it. I'm just letting you know

like why I do it because when I eventually show you guys my morning

routine and mention that I wake up that early some of you guys are gonna be

like "wow she's trippin", but no, there are very valid reasons as to why I do it. And

I guess that's really about it. So I hope that you guys enjoyed this video, I'll see you next time.

Why I Serve: Aviano Air Base - Duration: 0:58.

I

I came literally from working at, you know, fast food places. Grew up as a military

brat. Seeing how they live their lifestyle and always wondering what it'd be like. I graduated high school.

I was in college. And when I had my son I decided. I want my children to have that same sense of patriotism.

My dad drilled in me about going to the military. But Air Force was the way to go. He was very proud of me.

I'm the first female to join. Because they sacrificed a lot.

I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. It taught me to grow, you know, more as a person.

I really like the variety and meeting new people and traveling.

I can't imagine a better way to live. So that they could have the life that they deserve.

It looked fun. I serve to give back to my parents.

OVERLAPPING VOICES - BUILDING DRANATIC MUSIC

I continue to carry the torch for them.

Just wanted to be able to do more something else within myself. You can't find it anywhere else.

That's why I serve.

I love you.

The world we live in is hard.

It's really hard to live in it.

It's really hard.

And possibly the thing that would make it not worthwhile to experience is to go through

it thinking that no one loves you.

Not only is it not true, it's so dark, so dark to believe that.

But no one, no one.

no one deserves to believe that because it's just not true.

I love you.

The Twenty-NinthThis, the Twenty-Ninth Word, Word

is about the Immortality of Man's Spirit,

the Angels, and the Resurrection. In the Name of God, the

Merciful, the Compassionate. There in came down the

angels and the Spirit by the permission of their Sustainer.

(Qur'an, 97:4.) *Say: The Spirit [comes] by command of my

Sustainer. (Qur'an, 17:85.) [This treatise consists of an Introduction and two main Aims]

Introduction

It may be said that the existence of the angels and spirit beings is as definite as that of human

beings and animals. Indeed, as is explained in the First Step of the Fifteenth Word, reality undoubtedly

requires and wisdom certainly demands that like the earth the heavens have inhabitants, and

that its inhabitants are intelligent, and suitable for the heavens. In the tongue of the Shari'a,

those inhabitants, of which there are numerous kinds, are called angels and spirit beings.

Reality requires it to be thus. For despite the earth's smallness and insignificance in relation to

the heavens, its being filled with intelligent beings and from time to time being emptied and then

refilled with new ones suggests -indeed, states clearly- that the heavens too, with their majestic

constellations like adorned palaces, are filled with animate creatures, the light of the

light of existence, and conscious and intelligent creatures, the light of animate creatures.

Like man and the jinn, those creatures are spectators of the palace of the world, and ponderers

over the book of the universe, and heralds of this realm of dominicality. With their universal and

comprehensive worship, they represent the glorification of the large and universal beings in the universe.

The nature of the universe surely points to their existence. For since it is embellished

and decked out with uncountable numbers of finely adorned works of art and

meaningful decorations and wise embroideries, it self-evidently requires the gazes of

thoughtful admirers and wondering, appreciative lovers; it demands their existence.

Yes, just as beauty requires a lover, so is food is given to the hungry. Thus, the sustenance of spirits and

nourishment of hearts in this boundless beauty of art looks to the angels and spirit beings; it points to them.

For while this infinite adornment requires an infinite duty of contemplation

and worship, man and the jinn can perform only a millionth of that infinite

duty, that wise supervision, that extensive worship. This means that

boundless varieties of angels and spirit beings are necessary to perform those

duties, and to fill and inhabit the mighty mosque of the world with their ranks.

Indeed, a species of the spirit beings and angels is present in every

aspect, in every sphere, of the universe, each charged with a duty of

worship. It may be said according to both the narrations of Hadiths and

the wisdom in the order of the world that from lifeless planets and stars

to raindrops, all are ships or vehicles for a kind of angel. The angels

mount these vehicles with Divine permission and travel observing the

Manifest World; they represent their praise and glorification.

It also may be said that certain sorts of living bodies act as aeroplanes for different kinds of spirits. From the birds of Paradise, called the Green Birds in a

Hadith which says: "The spirits of the people of Paradise enter into Green Birds in the Intermediate Realm and travel around Paradise in them," (Muslim, Imara,

121; Tirmidhi, Tafsir Sura Al-i 'Imran, 19; Fada'il al-Jihad, 13; Ibn Maja, Jana'iz, 4; Darimi, Jihad, 18; Musnad, i, 266; vi, 386.) to flies, each is a vehicle for a sort of spirit.

The spirits enter into them at a Divine command, and through the faculties and senses of those living bodies like the

eyes and ears, observe the miracles of creation in the corporeal world. They perform the particular glorification of each.

Just as reality necessitates it to be thus, so does wisdom. For, with an intense activity,

the All-Wise Maker continuously creates subtle life and luminous intelligent beings

from dense earth, which has little connection with spirit, and from turbid water, which

has small relation with the light of life. He surely then creates certain sorts of intelligent

beings from the seas of light and even from the oceans of darkness, from the air,

electricity, and other subtle matter suitable for spirit and appropriate for life.

And surely these creatures are exceedingly numerous.

Hey

Do you be the guts to when you smile you're eating everything I mean it good tell me

You'll have to put it that way do you?

Too much just like chitlins, you know. Yeah, but we don't have to be talking about them that

Baby mangoes, oh, whoa

I've never been a fan of mangoes

Let me tell you is Annabelle talking about let me taste give me a song there. Mango has something I'll let you know

Imma, see if you're trying to try to push war for the car Oh karma baby guys. I'm gonna see ain't no good

I'm gonna tell them - we're gonna tell you very good

That mango is so spicy

That's the spice know that you know what I think that's uh, I think that was some ginger

That was some ginger, oh no the house dictum a sardine

You got some little bit on the side of your lip, baby

Hmm. I'll stick the bursar name. I love this. This is where I like my old mill

Probably got too much sweetness into your club

Some of them I put some fresh nuts on there mmm, but I only get three of those subtle don't like nuts

And I figured she was probably gonna be the one to eat the most of them

Babies yeah, you're right

I

Don't know if I put grapes and the other one but man are you not eating a good spirit see how what he could hear

Right, maybe the big ones I don't know I never tried to look for it I

Really like it with apples in it most nutritious part of the yeah

Man he's right man. How do you remember that?

That was so long ago

And my body did with some time a brain is still with him good man. You have a memory out of this world

she was actually a young black girl and

She was a Miss black America nothing like that, I think oh my goodness

About 3540 years and yeah, they're long term

but that young lady she was beautiful and

One of the things that she used to do

She would bring her lunch and

her lunch was a can of sardines every

single jail and

She said that it helped her skin and all

Three she had beautiful skin

Omega-3, hmm

She ate them every single day and she was not shy

Not good, either. It was about opening up a can of sardines have the whole lunchroom smelling of sardines and eating them

She didn't Carol if she had she was on a mission

I'd like me with the food see that the downtown right? Yeah on your first job here

You take pig feet to work. Mm-hmm. Tell the camera babies about that. You told them the last time yeah, but

That had to be so embarrassing and it had to smell terrible

A check then you eat downtown? Yeah

Lucky if you able to uh

Good to work. If you have bus fare, that was one thing that I was very fortunate about

My job that I had at the babies of first bank job

As long as I got to work I was covered

Because they say there's no free lunches

Maybe

In the sense of the way that they're talking about it but literally lunch free we had free lunches

It was amazing the entire base you had you they had breakfast in there for you

coffee

tea

They had some cafeteria ladies that took care of you hand and foot you didn't pay a dime. It was amazing. It really was

now that I think of back on those days for

That's when you were struggling struggling struggling and you just you know

You weren't making a whole lot of money because banks are

notorious for not being big ayyyy

Depends on your position. Yeah

Good money

Was happy to have what what I had you know

Back in those days bankers had respect now a lot of men is a bunch of scumbags

Bankers like the shoes come these scumbags. You you see TV you watch TV. You read the paper coming right like you don't know

What's happening? You see these people getting indicted and in stealing and going on come on

They were probably doing the same thing back. Then it just wasn't it

Was going to jail just like they're going to jail an issue right so we know about it more now

That's the thing. We know about it more

Oh, I mean they don't even still know me, you know, they'd be still in hunting me and others, you know

Maybe still it'd be well, you know, that's the way it works. Sometimes you work with people in banks

They round the money, you know how many times people stole?

I was in banking for over 35 years and some stories that I can tell you about banking and

Tell them another time, that's a whole story

There's a whole story another story

another story

Yeah, because guys I'm sorry you guys keep seeing of looking out the window and stuff. We're looking at the I know what's happened

They don't know that no karma babies

They watch some other videos they would know

I don't know

I can't fuck

When when I go to edit sometimes it's okay. Sometimes it's not so

Guys, they know we're in highway

Cash check highway Chronicles man. That was really a nice little snack. Um, I'm cool, but I'm not stopped

Well, that's because you just hit that was just a little can of sardines that's not enough to really fill you up

There's $2 for a full set. Whoa

Got a fast-food thing you could have got a happy meal for a dollar

That's what the text

Because you getting the expensive sardines they got some $0.99 sardines - you just want to have you

Like the two liras they got the small ones with too late

the other big bigger an

Account big ol big ol fat ugly cow, you know, you were a young tender cow, you know, that meat is tender, you know

I don't know. I just don't know about you. Sometimes that sometimes I've wonder I want to buy myself some time. Oh

Yeah

Well as well, uh, I got some horses over I think I'll go give me some horses

[E cc] 💎Get Ready With Me 💎Daily Make-up 데일리 메이크업 (말많음주의) #GRWM in LA - Duration: 24:04.

So hot

Good morning guys

Today is August 13th, Monday

and it's 10 in the morning

Today we have a separate One Million workshop in downtown

I have a class tomorrow

so I'm planning to film a short vlog at day time

and I'll be doing a 'get ready with me' with you guys

I've got no strength

I'll do it comfortably

I'll put on some moisturizing cream

The weather here is very dry compared to Korea

so I feel like my makeup quickly gets cakey

Who is it this morning?

So I apply once more

Shusshh

Pat a lot so your skin can absorb moisture as much as it can

And then sunscreen... isn't here

Lazy

I'll be right back

This is Banana Boat for kids

Coco recommended it to me so I got it when we went shopping together

It has a thin consistency

and it's mild and gentle

As you can see I have a lot of freckles

so sunscreen is a must

I look like a ghost

but it's okay

It's not made for base facial makeup

It doesn't get too white if you let it absorb

I think most sunscreens

cover your naked face

My makeup puff is not here with me

My eyebrow palette was also outside of course

I'm a newbie beauty YouTuber, Nana

My voice is back

I have 2 kinds of foundation

Ink foundation from The Face Shop

and Mac waterproof which I use everyday

Yesterday I used Mac waterproof

because I thought I'd sweat a lot from the workshop

But it's too heavy for everyday makeup

I'll be using Ink foundation for today

After getting a tan

I felt like my face was whiter than my body

So I purchased something else from CVS

It's L'oreal

True Match Lumi

I'm not sure if I am a cool tone or a warm tone

But I can go either way

and suit both of them

So I got a natural tone for now

This is N4

N is for natural tone

and it's probably level 4

I'll be mixing them up today

I didn't know when I got it

but thankfully it has a thin consistency, not thick

It works well with this one

As you probably know, this one is very thin

And now the other one on top

around half the amount

Just like this

and I'll be mixing these up

Just mix and mix and mix

I always spray mist onto my puff

and then use it

because it lets the foundation stick and blend very well with my skin

Spray mist on the puff

The more you pat, better lasting makeup you get

I tried applying with my hands,

with a brush,

with a puff and all

I like the puff the most

I like using a brush as well

It's also nice to apply with a brush and then finish off with a puff

But I do not have much time right now

This is from Missha

Water in Mushroom Sponge

This one is cheap and it's good

I washed this twice or thrice

Most of the others break off easily when washing and cleansing

but this one does not break off too easily

and let's you have a very natural looking skin

Apply on your neck but only the center

Your neck will look too white if you apply it all over

so just in the center~er~er~er~er

If you just set it like this

you can see a consistent skin tone

I have two foundations mixed and applied

but you can see that my face is one tone brighter than my body

So for the next step

after a slight tone up

I'll apply this once more

Just a little bit

on to my shading regions

I'm done my base makeup

Actually I still have a concealer left

but I usually leave that for the last

Eye makeup first

These are the brushes I use

There's not too much to it

I get it from Olive Young

or whenever I spot any

I also have a Missha

You can easily spot these ones at Olive Young

This is from ELF

This one I don't know where it's from

and.. that's it

I've been using this Too Cool For School brow palette for 2 years

Glamrock Brow Express

Is this still out there?

I've started using this since 2 years ago

The last colour here, the darkest colour

I'll start by drawing the outline

I'll use this

Like this

I'm filling out by following my shape

For my eyebrows...

If there is a brow shape that I want to do

I often change my brow shape

Right now

I have it sharpened thinly

But when the straight brows were a thing

I shaped my brows straightly

Check if they are balanced well

I think they are

I still got to do the inner parts

I personally think they are the most important part when drawing brows

Eyebrow shapes change the impression of people

I'll be using a soft brush

This is probably from Missha

I'll use this lighter colour in the middle

Grab the inner part of the brush like this

and rub it gently

towards the outer brow

I haven't told you my makeup theme

I am going to do my daily makeup that I always do

Use the spoolie now

You can see a difference

whether the front brows are filled in or not

I personally like a angled front than a rounded front

Looks more defined

but then

when doing a lovely makeup

I had it rounded nowadays

Looking good~

I'll be moving onto eyeshadows

This I got from Missha

Brush cleaner

When opened,

there is a sponge like this

With a used brush, swishswishswish

gently

Why is this popping out

This actually has this round thing

but I've used it all so I turned it upside down

When tested on your hand, there is nothing coming out

The brush is from Missha that looks something like this

This is one of my favourites these days

Nature Republic Pro Touch Colour Master Shadow Palette

I looooveee this

I really like this a lot

The colour comes out really nicely

The colour comes out very well even I use a little bit

There's not much dusting and smudging

I think most eye shadows work the same for under eye smudging so...

Eddie gave me this for a gift

Thank you Eddie~

I've been using it ever since

Makeup shop artists also use this

Mix this beige colour that I often use and the one under with pearls

and apply as a base

For the next colour, I'm thinking of mixing these two

This and that

Mix it slightly

All the colours here get prettier when mixed

Start from the outer hole and bring it in forward

A bit wider

I'll do my under lid slightly as well

using the same brush

like this

My face length from here to here is actually long

My face is a bit long

But

There's a huge difference when filling the under and not

When filled out, my face balances better

My eye looks bigger as well

When I don't have it filled in

something looks off

I'll now mix these two

and apply it on my double eyelid line

gently towards the outside

spreading it out like this

Lastly, with the dark brown here

you first have to take a bit off on your hand

because it may smudge easily

I usually don't connect these two parts together

because it makes me look too agressive

Fill it in like this

and with the remainder I'm going to work on my underlid once more

Don't do it too horizontally

but think of it as opening your eye

and gently apply

Then you can express it very naturally

Just half of the eye

It's easy to become a panda if you do it all the way

so just apply it at the ends

I curl my eye lashes before putting eyeliner on

My makeup teacher told me that I have eyes that's hard to curl lashes

I'm not too sure if that's the reason why

but when I do my eyeliner before curling my lases

my liner cracks off

So I curl my eyelashes before

This is from Shiseido

You probably know

Tadaa~

It's curled

I actually do not have too much lashes

So it stresses me out

I can hardly see them

Now I'll be drawing my eyeliner

Kill Black

I got it from Olive Young last time

It's by Clio, Clio Black

I start from the outer edge

I get my wing ready first

then towards the inner eye

and then fill in the gaps

Now the front

I got it on at once today!

Concealer time

Too Cool For School's Artclass Intonaco Master #2 in beige

Cheeks

Mid forehead

Nasolabial folds

Chin

Spread it out horizontally

Like this on the T-zone

I usually don't focus on this part but my forehead and my chin

I have some pimples here right now

so once more over here

Twice and then apply with your finger tip

I had this before coming back to Korea and it's still here

Too Cool For School's Art Class by Rodin Shading

You probably know because it's really famous

Use a big fluffy brush

gently apply on the brush then shake it off

and apply on the shading regions

Round and round

and this line gently

Use the middle colour with this brush

but I'm almost done with this colour

so I mix these two colours nowadays

I'll start with the inner region of my eye

I'm only going to do a slight contour today

So just apply it lightly

My nose is on the long side

so this is a way to make my nose look shorter

Apply the bottom like this

and apply under the nose with the remaining shadow

Then my nose looks shorter

Under the lips

when you shade the part

you will be able to get fuller lips

I now have a contoured face

For blush, I'll use

"saemmul single blusher Be02 flash beige" by The Same

It is a beige color that has a little bit of highlighter in it

When I apply this, my face looks glossy

glossy? I don't know how to word it but

It gives a sexy look

because beige is a color that can be sexy

so this blush can also give a healthy look to your face

I also think it looks good with a gold makeup look

Even if I didn't do special eye makeup,

only with this blush, I can give a sexy look

For mascara, I use a yellow one from maybelline

I like maybelline because comparing it to the price, it works very well

It does not smudge so I like it

Oh it is the purple one not the yellow one

It stays on for a long time and

It also removes well

So I think it is not bad

I am done with the mascara

I bought a clear makeup bag from Victoria's Secret

because I had hard times finding my makeup products

I like it because I am able to see where the products are

Last but not least,

This is from Stila

Coco gave this to me

There are a lot of makeup products that Coco gave me

Mostly the products that she bought but didn't like

But those products looked good on me

I apply this on the starting point of my eyes

If I apply this slightly,

I can have a bling bling look on my eyes

But this product kind of hurts my eye

Last but not least, lipstick!

This is my lipstick pouch

What lipstick should I wear today?

Today's makeup look will look good with any color

This is my favorite lip product from Nars

I have two of them

I love YSL

I have 3 of the guiter addition

I got 3 of them from YSL

But it was when I didn't do youtube

So I didn't have a chance to show you guys

I showed it once in my Instagram live

For today,

I will wear this one

It is the YSL guitar addition

in #12

I will also use #7 together with #12

First,

I will use #12 which is slightly darker

I line my lips with a lip gloss as well

Just like this

The colour is really pretty

Was this always this pretty?

It is pretty right?

And then,

I will apply this once again

Makeup is done!

Now I will do my hair!

I am done getting ready!

I wore a black shirt today

How did you like my daily makeup?

I did what I normally do all the time

I have more fun events planned in L.A.

so stay tuned and see you in my next video~

Byyyeee~~

Small Stamp Set Bold Design - Altenew! - Duration: 5:54.

hi it's Therese and I'm here for Altenew and today I'm going to be using a

small stamp set and creating a bold design it's really easy to do with this

gorgeous set which is called floral elements and because they are solid

images there are lots of options I decided to use some nice sort of

spring'y colors today and make a bright cheerful birthday card but this would

look just as fabulous stamped out in black as a sort of silhouette image I

have three different colors here that I'm just stamping the three larger

images with and it's the fresh lemon turquoise and olive then normally when

I'm stamping out a pattern I like to stamp it on a larger piece of cardstock

than what I need and I'm doing that here because I can cut it down when I know

which portion I want to use the other thing that I do is usually stamp the

largest image first and then fill in the gaps with the smaller images but these

three images are very similar in size so what I thought would be easier to do

would was actually stamp them out and build my pattern as I go that way I can

sort of move the stamps around and filling gaps because I'm using the same

color for each stamp each time it means I'm saving time I'm not having to clean

my stamps in between as I'm building my pattern and this actually stamped out

really quickly I also make sure that I stamped some of the images so they're

going to be off the edge of the card stock it makes it look like it's a

design paper that you've cut and it was meant to be like that so now I'm just

sort of working out if I've stamped a large enough area and I'm pretty happy

with that so I'm just using a pencil to mark my panel and then I'll cut it down

my final sort of flower image is two other flowers in this set these are

really tiny filler flowers and I'm using both sizes here

to stamp out this little filler flower in the rubellite so it's a nice bright

hot pink now this set is fabulous because it even has a coordinating set

of dies and that's amazing for a mini stamp set that just opens up so many

more options I love it my final stamp here I'm actually using the center or

the stamen sort of stamp and stamping out some black dots on all of the yellow

and the blue flowers okay so I've cut a 50 this is from their bold numerals die

set and I've cut in some jet black cardstock and also in some white fun

foam now I like to leave the fun foam die cuts within the actual panel like

that I've cut it out off just to keep them in a good shape and then I can

add my liquid glue and I'm using the matte medium and then I can just add

the jet black die-cut card stock on top now I do set that aside to dry

and I don't like to leave it too long because sometimes the ink doh the ink

the glue can squish out the sides and that can dry at least if I've pushed it out

early enough I can sort of get those edges off easier and I'm just using a

prismacolor pencil the matching color to repair one of my mis-stamped

filler flowers right so my sentiment I'm going to take from the happy dreams

stamp set I've already lined up the stamp set on my Misti I did think about

just stamping it on a block but I didn't want to start again at least with the Misti I

can restamp if I need to and I thought this is a fun sentiment to have with the

word 50 I always use stamp shammy oh it's

actually a car chamois, I cut it down, to clean my stamps I've converted

over from baby wipes and I find I agree with everybody else, a lot less fibers on

the stamps and much easier and more economical. on the back of my panel I've

added some scraps of fun foam some be creative tape and then all that's left

to do is attach my jet-black 50 everyone's going to know how old this

person is this birthday no secrets here I like to use the matte medium here

because it gives me a little bit of wriggle room that doesn't sound right?

wriggle room yeah that's right, so I don't have to be quite so precise and

just let that dry and I'm done have a great day bye

These Students Know More Than Politicians - Duration: 4:18.

Are you smarter than a politician?

Anybody?

The answer is yes if you were among the

millions of students who,

thanks to the charity run by this high school teacher,

get to watch my videos in class.

It should only take you a couple of minutes.

Actually, not all the videos are mine but

the charity's called Stossel In The Classroom

because I offer free videos to

any teacher who wants video teaching aids

for courses in economics, government,

critical thinking, and current events.

Watching and discussing the videos gives

kids new perspective on things.

But the people that accept welfare, over time

they lose the incentive to work.

Every year we hold an essay contest.

Winners get money plus a free trip for them

and their teacher to visit us here

in New York City.

This year's contest invited students to

write about price gouging,

a practice hated by the media and most politicians.

Jeff Sessions and the President of the United States

will not tolerate gouging.

Gouging becomes an issue every hurricane season,

because after storms, some merchants

raise prices.

They're taking advantage of us.

That leads politicians to pass laws that say:

During a state of emergency,

you cannot substantially raise prices

whether it's a hotel room, fuel,

commodities such as water, generators,

you cannot raise prices substantially

and that's what these bad people are doing.

Fortunately, our students get to hear a

Nobel Prize winning economist

give the other side of the argument.

The gougers deserve a medal.

The gougers are heroes,

said Milton Friedman

because they take risks to bring in goods

that people desperately need.

After Hurricane Katrina,

one so-called gouger was John Shepperson.

Watching news reports about Katrina,

he learned that people desperately needed things.

My wife just got out of the hospital.

She's very sick, and we need a generator.

So John bought 19 generators,

put them in a rented U-Haul,

and drove it 600 miles to

part of Mississippi which had no

electricity.

Five million people in this region are without power.

John offered to sell his generators

for twice what he paid for them.

People were eager to buy.

People were excited. We had a product they needed.

But Mississippi police wouldn't let John sell them.

They called that price gouging.

Instead, they confiscated his generators

and locked John up in this jail.

So did the public benefit?

No.

What do we need? Come on guys.

Generators, water, food.

Somebody needs to bring these products

to people

when there are disasters and emergencies,

and this is gonna be one person

that's not going to be there that

they took out of the equation.

Students who entered our video essay contest

expanded on that point.

In modern day, you see countries like Venezuela

suffer from the fact that their

governments continue to place price controls

on all items.

17 year-old Annelise Kofod

of Raleigh, North Carolina submitted this video

and won our high school award.

34 the 50 US states have laws against price gouging.

As I did more and more research,

I was like, okay maybe price gouging

isn't such a bad thing.

Erika Lewis of Towson University won the

college-level category.

Sellers are able to earn more profit and buyers are

capable of getting the supplies they desperately need.

Actually the price gougers are the moral ones.

17 year old Maggie Hroncich of Grove City,

Pennsylvania

won her high school essay contest.

If you just look at the economics,

the most people are helped

if you keep the government out of it.

When people hear price gouging,

they think, oh gouging

this awful thing that you'd think of,

but it really is kind of just another name

for supply and demand.

Wisdom from students helped to look at

all sides of the issue

by teachers who use our videos.

Next year's essay contest will be announced soon.

I'm the Co-Host of the "That's So Retrograde" Podcast (ft. Steph Simbari) - Coolest Jobs in America - Duration: 3:25.

Hi, my name is Steph Simbari and I am the co-host

of the

That's So Retrograde podcast.

That's

So

Retrograde is a show about health and wellness, and it explores how to live your best life and how to

have fun while doing it.

When my partner and I started the podcast, we felt like there was all this incredible information out

there, but we weren't connecting with the way that it was being delivered to us.

And, so, we wanted to explore it in our way and then share it from the voice of someone that would be just

like us.

We needed it, so we made it.

At first we were like, "we're gonna do a show on Astrology" but we both realize that we didn't really

know anything about Astrology.

We were just fans of it.

So, we were like, "how can we position ourselves to be curious, but not experts.

And, that;s kind of like the area our show lives in."

We recorded 11 episodes before we ever released one.

So, it was trial and error and it was an experiment.

But again, the through-line was, like, we wanted to be there.

We had the support of a studio that was, like, ready to record this podcast with us.

And it's been a constant evolution and learning experience ever since then.

I hope it never stops being that way.

Everyone wants to know how to be healthy, and everyone wants to know how to be happy, and we want to know

how to be healthy and happy, too.

And, so what we do is we have conversations with people in those spaces who can give, like, concrete,

real world and write from the perspective of someone who's truly doing it and living it and making

money off of it.

One of our most listened-to episodes is these people called No Tox Life.

They make toxic-free deoderants and soaps and sprays.

I found them at the Farmers Market.

It ended up being, like, the episode that took us the top and got us on, like, New and Noteworthy on

iTunes.

It was just, like, no one would think that.

You know, everyone's like, you need to get a big celebrity to come in and, like, really bump your

numbers.

Because, like, this lady talking about toxic-free deodorant was the thing connected with people.

If you're gonna have a partner in the relationship, that you have with that person is the most

important thing above all else and knowing how to take care of yourself, and take care of each other,

is the way in which something can thrive.

So Elizabeth and I, we go to relationship counseling with our Astrologer.

We've had to create a structure in which we can respect each other and have differences in an argument

and then, by understanding each other, we work through those things to be stronger.

The best life hack I think that I've realized so far is that you just have to start and try and learn as

you go.

And then, over time, you kind of start to feel like, you know what you're doing, but then like those

your curveball and you're like wasn't expecting that and then you just adapt.

If you're open, you will be fine.

Creating my livelihood based on the feeling of peace and calm within myself, I think that's how I

define success.

Also, having tons of cash.

The fulfillment that I get is knowing that the conversations that we're having our helping people

learn how to take care of themselves.

And they're helping us do the same

thing

Since it first aired in 2016, the show has boasted a star-studded cast which featured the likes of Claire Foy , Matt Smith , Vanessa Kirby and John Lithgow
