Star Citizen Sued By Crytek(CryEngine) And This Is Why - Duration: 11:09.

Another setback, the creators of Star Citizens is being sued by Crytek.
The allegations are great.
The two companies behind the Star Citizen game.
Cloud Imperium Games (CIG), Roberts Space Industries (RSI) are accused by Crytek of
breach of contract and copyright violation.
What is Star Citizen?
Star Citizen is a gigantic epic space adventure, trading, and dogfighting video game led by
Chris Roberts.
The game is still under development.
Unlike other games, Star Citizen is 100% crowdfunded and therefore completely independent.
To give you an example.
Call of Duty has Activision as publisher.
While Star Citizen publishes itself.
With the advantage that Chris Roberts has all the freedom of the world.
Nobody tells him what to do.
Star Citizen currently has a total of $174 million in crowdfunding.
It grows as I speak.
Who is Crytek?
Crytek is a powerful company from Frankfurt, Germany.
This company developed the game engine "CryEngine", a software framework designed for the creation
and development of video games.
The collaboration In 2012, CIG and RSI agreed with Crytek.
I quote: "To make that game a reality, Defendants sought
to use the CryEngine video game development platform as its foundation.
Crytek and Defendants agreed to preliminary license terms, and Crytek invested significant
time and expense in creating impressive demonstrations and proofs-of-concept that were used to persuade
the public to contribute financially to a "crowdfunding" campaign to support the development
of the video game.
As a direct result of Crytek's efforts, the crowdfunding campaign for Star Citizen was
a monumental success, raising over 150 million dollars a record for video game crowdfunding
projects.
" The "Game License Agreement" between the parties
is only meant for the game "Star Citizen".
CIG and RSI promised to use the CryEngine game development platform exclusively and
to promote CryEngine in the game such as during the in-game loading screen known as "splash
screen" Crytek says that CIG and RSI failed to keep
their promises and that they were developing a separate game using CryEngine without permission
their permission.
I quote: "Defendants Are Developing a Separate Game Using CryEngine Without Permission
Section 2.1.2 of the GLA contained a promise by Defendants to use CryEngine for the development
of only one video game.
During the negotiation of the terms of the GLA, Crytek made it clear that the game license
would not cover anything more."
They are talking about "Squadron 42," a single-player video game involving space combat, which would
be sold separately from Star Citizen.
CIG and RSI made Squadron 42 official on December 16, 2015.
Further public announcement stating that it is a stand-alone video game separately from
Star Citizen.
This is not covered in the Game License Agreement.
February 5, 2016, The development of this separate game continued while there was still
no license for it.
So far, Crytek has not paid for the Squadron 42 game.
I Quote: "Crytek has not been compensated for Defendants'
unlicensed use of Crytek technology in the Squadron 42 game, and has been substantially
harmed by being deprived of that compensation, which would ordinarily include a substantial
up-front payment as well as a substantial royalty on game sales."
On September 24, 2016, "Gamers Nexus" gave an interview with the man behind Star Citizen
"Chris Roberts", a painful interview to watch for CryTek.
"We do not call it CryEngine anymore, we call it StarEngine"
Shortly after the interview, the Crytek trademarks and copyright notices were removed from Star
Citizen, which is a breach of the contract, according to CryTek.
The 24th of September 2016, Amazon Lumberyard video game engine replaced the CryEngine.
Another breach of contract by Star Citizen.
"Crytek has been substantially damaged, and has failed to receive the balance of its full,
usual license fee," claims Crytek.
The reason for the exclusive use of the Cryengine is that the source code can never be disclosed.
On May 6, 2015, Star Citizen began posting a series of videos online titled "Bugsmashers"
where literally and figuratively confidential information is displayed which is also a breach
of contract.
August 26, 2017, Chris Roberts announced that they would work together with Faceware Technologies.
This company ensures that the facial expressions and speech of the character are copied from
the face of the player through webcam.
To achieve this, Faceware Technologies had access to information of CryEngine.
According to the agreement, no information is allowed to be disclosed with third parties.
Copyright violation You get the typical Apple - Windows, or Facebook
story.
"Better well stolen than bad invented" According to the document, Star Citizen has
made a copy of CryEngine.
I Quote: "Defendants have reproduced, displayed, and
distributed unauthorized copies of the CryEngine computer program to which they had access.
Such unauthorized copies exceed the permissible license terms and therefore constitute unlawful
reproduction, display, and distribution of the CryEngine computer program."
Conclusion In a publication by Techspot, you can read
that the companies behind Star Citizen have responded.
"We are aware of the Crytek complaint having been filed in the US District Court.
CIG hasn't used the CryEngine for quite some time since we switched to Amazon's
Lumberyard.
This is a meritless lawsuit that we will defend vigorously against, including recovering from
Crytek any costs incurred in this matter."
Despite being a big fan of Star Citizen.
It indicates that the creators of Star Citizen do what they want to do.
A written agreement has been agreed and every party must stick to that.
So if CryTek wins the case it "can" have dangerous consequences for "Star Citizen".
Because this is Crowdfunding based they run the risk that the investors withdraw.
This means the end of the story.
If I am an investor of something and I see that the company does not follow the rules,
I pull my hands back.
Players are also getting impatient.
The game is still in Alpha mode and everyone is waiting for Alpha 3.0.
Each time deadlines are shifted.
But on the other hand, players cannot complain because they know what they are signing for.
In general, you see that Chris Roberts pursue his dream in one straight red line.
This means that he sometimes has to make hard decisions and sometimes against agreements.
Let's hope that his decision is not a deadly decision.
But perhaps he use "notice of default" as a reason to limit the damage.

While liberals continue to make as many laughable waves as possible in their ignorant and useless
attempts to bring down President Trump, they seem to be succeeding only in exposing the
corruption within their own preferred democratic party.
The irony alone is a beautiful victory for the right, but to give us just a bit more
reason to celebrate, many that the left accidentally exposes are being charged with the crimes
they have tried to hide for many years.
The King of Socialism, Bernie Sanders, has recently found himself in a rather compromising
situation brought on by the financial fraud that his wife , Jane, was found guilty of
during an FBI investigation into her receiving a loan to the tune of TEN MILLION DOLLARS
while she was running the Burlington College.
The FBI investigation turned up documents that showed Jane Sanders to have falsified
paperwork to obtain money fraudulently for the now defunct liberal arts college.
The icing on the cake is that a Grand Jury has taken the evidence and accusations seriously
enough to move in and slam the Sanders couple hard for their crimes.
This is going to probably end any hope for Bernie to ever run for President again, let
alone against Trump in 2020 as he has expressed he would like to do.
According to Prissy Holly :
Nothing kills a political aspiration boner quicker than a federal investigation, and
for Bernie Sanders, that's exactly what's happening.
Over the past six weeks FBI agents have launched a full-scale investigation into the couple's
illegal antics over the years, and the information they've found was so damning that it's
evoked a response from a Grand Jury that's now making their move to make the couple pay
dearly for their crimes.
According to Judicial Watch:
Amid a deepening federal investigation of Jane Sanders, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders'
wife, Judicial Watch has obtained records that paint a rather disturbing personal portrait
of a heartless spouse—and longtime political advisor—of the Democratic Socialist candidate
for president of the United States.
During the Obama administration, the FBI began investigating Jane for falsifying documents
to obtain a $10 million loan to expand a now-defunct liberal arts college in a town where her husband
once served as mayor while she was the school's president.
Fox News reports that any political future Sanders had for 2020 is rapidly deteriorating,
as these FBI agents have unearthed massive evidence of Sanders' involvement with bank
fraud.
And unfortunately for Sanders and his shady wife, Trump's Justice Department isn't
playing around.
The Justice Department official spearheading the investigation is being handled at the
discretion of Christina E. Nolan, who was sworn into office last week after being appointed
by President Trump.
According to Fox News, this is not only a huge blow to Bernie's political aspirations,
but could affect his daughter's race as the mayor of Burlington, Vermont.
They reported: The ongoing probe and the potential for a
grand jury review might be enough to impede Bernie Sanders' and Driscoll's political
plans.
Politico reported last month that Sanders was angling toward a more mainstream candidacy
heading into the 2020 presidential election and reaching out to key Democrats to solidify
his support among the party machine.
Driscoll, the stepdaughter of the senator, announced Monday her plans to run for her
stepfather's first political job: mayor of Burlington, Vt.
A spokesperson for Bernie Sanders did not respond to Fox News' request for a comment.
Driscoll declined to comment.
Now the question is, what did Bernie and his wife do with this $10 million dollar loan
if the school is defunct?
Frank Lea from Freedom Daily had a pretty good hypothesis on where the cash went.
He reported:
What a liberal sack of potatoes she is.
Where did the money go if the school is defunct?
I know they don't pay teachers that much money, so where did Jane and Bernie squalor
the money?
Did they buy any new homes or expensive cars during this time?
Is it in their bank account?
Can we file a right to know information on their purchases after the time they received
the bully loan?
It looks like this time the D.C. circle jerk isn't going to protect Bernie and his crooked
wife since it's Trump's Justice Department leading the investigation.
How epic would it be for these crooked morons to spend the rest of their lives behind bars
for fraud?
What's even more hilarious is that liberals are already hurting for viable candidates
to run against Trump in 2020, and having Bernie out of the race would be a massive blow to
their plans of unseating Trump in the next election.
When those pointing fingers are the ones found to be truly guilty of crimes like this, it
is a good day for America.
Let's hope the FBI and the DOJ follow through with what appears to be a cut and dry case,
and they provide the proper punishment to Sanders as the law dictates.
It is time to stick to the old adage that no one is above the law.

hi there today I want to share my tips on IELTS writing which I've accumulated
by taking the test myself and also helping to prepare my students who come
to study in the UK now let get started
these days of the IELTS exam can be paper-based but can be computer-based
and before booking your test think what can you do more quickly write by hand or
type on a keyboard and book your exam accordingly most people still take a
paper-based exam and if you write fewer than 150 words for task
one or below 250 words for task two you will be penalized but you don't have
time to count words during the exam do you that's why you need to practice at
home download IELTS writing answer sheet you can do it in the corner of the
screen or video description below and use it to write your essays at home soon
by just looking at your essays you will know how many words you have there
without counting either words or lines make sure you don't start your essay by
copying the question let me show you an example
however these words will be excluded from
the word count because they are taken directly from the question what you need to do is paraphrase
many candidates think that in order to get a
high score they need to use complicated words and grammar structures and write
long sentences that will help but only if you do it right if you make mistakes
that's actually gonna harm your score to get band 7 you need to produce
frequent error free sentences so it's better to write most simply but
correctly make sure you write in a formal style and avoid any slang words
or contractions that's an easy tip let's go to the next one in IELTS
writing you should be extremely careful and only write what is relevant for the
topic for example in IELTS speaking you can go slightly off-topic and that's
fine but not in IELTS writing so keep it to the point each task includes several
parts you need to cover in the answer in our example you need to cover three
parts arguments supporting the statement basically why those who are more should
pay more contradicting arguments why everyone should pay the same and your
opinion so make sure you cover all those parts equally I know that planning an essay
takes time and many people simply hate planning I used to be one of them but
that's the only way to make sure that the structure of your essay is correct
and the information you write is relevant do you want to get a high score
in writing then it's a must for you do you know that a conclusion in task two
weights more in your mark than other parts of the essay so leave enough time to
write it properly and if you're running out of time and you can't finish essay
two then five minutes before the end stop whatever you're writing go
straight to the conclusion and make a nice one
studying model answers of good essays helps a lot that's actually one of the
best ways to improve your score so find model answers and study them I have a
video with a model answer for task two and I'm gonna link it at the end of
this video by saying that you need to study model answers I don't mean you
should learn them word by word and repeat during the exam IELTS examiners are
trained to spot memorised answers and you are gonna get zero points for those
however you can still use phrases you learned or words that's
a great thing to do but don't learn whole essays what do you find most challenging

single day we're only about 11 days out so that's super exciting but you might
still be wondering what do I want for Christmas and if you are still wondering
that I have a product that once you see it I think you're gonna decide that you
want it for Christmas so this was actually something I got for Christmas
two years ago and there's two items I'm going to be discussing today and it was
something that I discovered on Pinterest I had never heard of it and then I saw
this random pin about it and I was like that looks really cool and so I started
like doing a little bit of research on it and basically I found a whole another
type of crochet so you've got crochet you've gotten it and then you have this
whole other thing called Tunisian crochet and that actually has lots of
names like Tunisian crochet Tunisian knitting royal princess knitting lots of
different names and it's really cool to read up on how I got all the different
news but that's kind of besides the point
so basically what it is the best thing that I like to describe it like if you
were to combine crochet and knitting together you'd basically get Tunisian
crochet so now a quick word this is not the Nook I don't know if you've seen
that I did try the nut and now is marking it as a way to knit with a
crochet hook however I wasn't too thrilled with the nut it was very
challenging to use and I felt like if you're gonna learn to Nook you might as
well just learn to knit but what I really like about Tunisian crochet is if
you already know how to crochet it's really easy to pick up because you still
use a hook just the difference is instead of working each stitch
individually across like you do in crochet you work multiple stitches
across and back like you do in knitting but anyways let's talk about the two
products I'm going to be showing you so I got these two items for Christmas I
basically told my family that hey I want to learn to Tunisian crochet so that
means I want Tunisian crochet hooks which are generally longer so you can
hold multiple loops on the hot I also wanted a how-to book so I was
really proud of my dad he did an awesome job researching and figuring out what to
get me and these are the items that I got for Christmas that year first of all
I got this Denice set of interchangeable crochet hooks I'll give you a look at
those in a moment and I also got this get hooked on Tunisian crochet and it's
a really good how-to on Tunisian crochet it has some of really cool projects in
there so if you're not familiar with Tunisian crochet pause this video go
watch a video of some in Tunisian crochet and then come back because
that'll make a little more sense and I'm talking through things but for Tunisian
crochet as I was saying earlier you pick up multiple loops and stitches on the
hook at the same time so that means if your work is long you need a hook to be
born so what's really cool about this kit here is it comes with lots of
different size hooks but it also has these pieces here that allow you to make
your hook longer so it comes with instructions and it comes with their
little card here but what you get is you get a set of
these hooks you have these long cord pieces that can attach into the ends of
the hook you get these button end pieces and you get these connectors so I'll go
ahead and pull out a hook they go from size F I'll play to end and then they
have these two that are 17 and 19 and those one sorta have a letter with them
because once you get up into those sizes there's some discrepancies between
brands of what size it actually is but let's take this size J hook for instance
so for the most part it looks like a normal crochet hook it is an inline
crochet hook you can see right here that it kind of has that point there it has a
nice thumb grip so it's really comfortable to work with but the end is
what makes this special you might have noticed that all the crochet hooks are
the same way and so this end is what makes it special and what you can do is
to make your hook long enough for your project you take one of these cord
pieces which also they're flexible by the way which is really cool and I'll
show you how I use that with a project and you just insert it into the end of
your crochet hook twist to snap it in place and now you've got an extended
crochet hook and then you can use the extender pieces here if you want to make
it even longer this connects onto the ends of the cords listed on you can add
another extension piece so you can make it as long as you need it to be for your
project which is really nice I really like that because it's also a lot better
for storage because if you don't have interchangeable hooks with a flexible
cord you end up with a solid metal or plastic cut that's really long and so
those are obviously a lot harder to store it's like trying to store knitting
needles if you've ever tried that it's a lot more challenging than just doing
crochet hooks so I really like how you can pop these pieces in and out and I
really like that you can extend them and combine them at all different ways with
these same pieces so I got just this short gun right near here and you might
be wondering since it's flexible does that impact how it is when you Tunisian
crochet and the answer is no because you really hang on to up here this just
allows your loops to slide all the way down here so that way all your loops
aren't right up here and getting bunched up or you have too many and you can't do
any more stitches one other thing that comes with this kit which is really nice
is these end buttons and this piece also attaches on the end just pop it on there
whist it and so now as the loop slide down the hook they'll hit this and they
won't slide off so that's really nice too so now you have a little bit of an
idea and I promised that once you actually start Tunisian crochet the way
this kit works will the more you learn about Tunisian crochet the more appeal
this kit will have because like I said it's a lot easier for storage it's super
customizable because you have all kinds of different length cords so you can
make your project as long or as short as you want they're these nice sturdy
plastic inline hooks so that's always very nice and they have a good weight to
them I feel like you know sometimes you have a hook that's too light it feels a
little awkward they have but they have a nice balance to them so I really like
that so that's what comes in your kit I would definitely recommend this if you
already know how to crochet and you want to learn how to Tunisian crochet this
kit is really awesome because it gives you the advantage of lots of hook sizes
all at once and it's also really super portable and the other thing is as I
mentioned before if you're not familiar with Tunisian crochet but it's something
you might interested in if you already know how to
crochet it you can pick it up really easily and it's because you use a lot of
the same techniques where you use the crochet hook to pick up different loops
you just do it in different fashions in different ways to create different
designs so know how do you learn how to actually use a kit like this that's
where this book comes in now I've shared in some of my other crochet videos that
when I was first learning to crochet I tried chicken books up in the library
and it was an absolute flop I could not find a book to make crochet makes sense
to me I tried looking on YouTube videos and I could not get it until somebody
showed me in person so I can't guarantee that this will work for everybody and I
also can't guarantee that it will work if you don't already know how to crochet
however since I do know how to crochet when I buy this book this book was so
good it's really nice the beginning pages they talk a little bit just about
Tunisian crochet itself so you can kind of get an idea of you know what the art
actually is and some of the origins and history of it and it also talks about
different kinds of hooks in here so this information will help this kit makes
sense and they actually show this exact kit in here so it's kind of funny too so
lots of good information especially if you've never picked up a crochet hook in
your life but even if you have picked up a push I had before and you do know how
to crochet to some extent it'll make it even easier and I'll give you a really
good foundation for what you're actually bringing the stitches last of all before
you get to the actual patterns there's tons of pages showing all kinds
of different stitches and what's really cool about Tunisian crochet is you can
mimic a lot of knit stitches but you still use crochet techniques super
simple you just hook and pull through so I really like the way this book teaches
it it also has some nice patterns for some different projects throughout there
and you know I haven't made a ton of the projects in here but there's some really
cute beginner ideas and it can help you understand how the stitches actually
work for a real project once you know how to make the stitches themselves so
anyways that's what I've got for today this is
the Denice set of interchangeable Tunisian crochet hooks and this is get
hooked on Tunisian crochet by Cheryl thighs really good book I really would
recommend both of these products I actually was looking at Amazon because
I'll have links for these in the description below and they have a
coloured kit it's so cool-looking like this one these are all white and they're
pretty you know nice and pristine but they have a colored kit where all the
hooks are really fun colors they're like some pastels and some brighter colors so
super pretty super fun and this book is also available on Amazon so you can
order both of these together just in time for Christmas as a gift for
yourself as a gift for somebody else or you can just put the idea in someone
else's ear that hey this is something I'm like for Christmas one last thing I
will show you just to kind of encourage you to get interested in Tunisian
crochet is something that I made out of Tunisian crochet
I made this awesome basket being kind of this like basket weave design on it that
I incorporated so it was really neat I actually made up this pattern by myself
but I was able to do some of the patterns and techniques from in this
book to be able to make it work although I was able to work this project kind of
going around and there's a different method when you work in the round with
Tunisian crochet there's actually some different kinds of hooks you can use and
I did not have the proper tools to do that but I was able to work around the
square base of this project and the loops from the stitches for each row
were able to stay on because this cord was able to curve around the bottom and
stay where I needed to be so that was really cool neat application
reason why I really like the flexibility of these ones versus a solid Tunisian
crochet hook so I hope that that piques your interest and that if you haven't
looked into Tunisian crochet before that you would and maybe if you are
considering starting with Tunisian crochet I would definitely recommend
these two products were starting such a huge help I am so impressed with my dad
because he's not crafty but he picked these out he looked at reviews and did
his research really well so I was very impressed by that but I've really
enjoyed learning Tunisian crochet it's cool because it's very similar to
crochet yet also vastly different and so it opens a whole new world of textures
and patterns and take week and of course you can combine
Tunisian crochet with a crochet project or a knit project and so it's really
cool all the ways you can use it and of course the book has lots of patterns if
you're struggling with ideas or you just want to practice your stitches but

Today I will tell you how to take right dimension for a few the same size doors in the line...
That not be of the solid wood doors.That be for doors from plastic laminate or plywood/MDF with veneer on.
I talk about woodworking materials which must be edge-banding...
We add all the spaces between the doors...
the spaces are 1/8 of the inch (3.2 mm)
Right here are 5 doors
So you need ten stripes of the veneer or plastic laminate for this ...
for dimensioning, always use the material you will lay on the edge...
Every kind of edgeband have different thickness...
that is black melamine and white maple...
You can see the difference of thickness.
Maple have 10 mm the melamine have 6 mm
That is big difference
the total length of the cabinet minus the all spaces between the doors and minus the size of edgeband what we need for all the doors..
... the number what we get you need to divide for the number of the doors
When you cut the doors for that dimension and apply edgeband should be ideal.
That is very important for prefinished materials. You cut the material edgebanding it and nothing else you can do if the size of the door is wrong...
I always check my calculations because every one can makes mistakes
for check my calculations I use scraps
That scraps are different than this door.I just want to show you my way.
That can be much narrower scraps.
For Example.That size of my doors
Now I add as many stripes of edgeband as I need for the doors.
And all the spacers what I need.(1/8 of the inch /3.2mm)
I use pieces of 1/8" aluminum
At the end I need space between door and end panel so I add the spacer
Total I need 5 spacers of 1/8 of the inch(3.2 mm) and 10 pieces of edgeband
That the easiest way to check your calculation up.
It is cheaper to use a waste to check calculations than to cut the doors twice.
Everyone who cut of the edge-banding strips knows that is not easy and messy operation...
Sometimes even the table saw blade are done after that job.

Another setback, the creators of Star Citizens is being sued by Crytek.
The allegations are great.
The two companies behind the Star Citizen game.
Cloud Imperium Games (CIG), Roberts Space Industries (RSI) are accused by Crytek of
breach of contract and copyright violation.
What is Star Citizen?
Star Citizen is a gigantic epic space adventure, trading, and dogfighting video game led by
Chris Roberts.
The game is still under development.
Unlike other games, Star Citizen is 100% crowdfunded and therefore completely independent.
To give you an example.
Call of Duty has Activision as publisher.
While Star Citizen publishes itself.
With the advantage that Chris Roberts has all the freedom of the world.
Nobody tells him what to do.
Star Citizen currently has a total of $174 million in crowdfunding.
It grows as I speak.
Who is Crytek?
Crytek is a powerful company from Frankfurt, Germany.
This company developed the game engine "CryEngine", a software framework designed for the creation
and development of video games.
The collaboration In 2012, CIG and RSI agreed with Crytek.
I quote: "To make that game a reality, Defendants sought
to use the CryEngine video game development platform as its foundation.
Crytek and Defendants agreed to preliminary license terms, and Crytek invested significant
time and expense in creating impressive demonstrations and proofs-of-concept that were used to persuade
the public to contribute financially to a "crowdfunding" campaign to support the development
of the video game.
As a direct result of Crytek's efforts, the crowdfunding campaign for Star Citizen was
a monumental success, raising over 150 million dollars a record for video game crowdfunding
projects.
" The "Game License Agreement" between the parties
is only meant for the game "Star Citizen".
CIG and RSI promised to use the CryEngine game development platform exclusively and
to promote CryEngine in the game such as during the in-game loading screen known as "splash
screen" Crytek says that CIG and RSI failed to keep
their promises and that they were developing a separate game using CryEngine without permission
their permission.
I quote: "Defendants Are Developing a Separate Game Using CryEngine Without Permission
Section 2.1.2 of the GLA contained a promise by Defendants to use CryEngine for the development
of only one video game.
During the negotiation of the terms of the GLA, Crytek made it clear that the game license
would not cover anything more."
They are talking about "Squadron 42," a single-player video game involving space combat, which would
be sold separately from Star Citizen.
CIG and RSI made Squadron 42 official on December 16, 2015.
Further public announcement stating that it is a stand-alone video game separately from
Star Citizen.
This is not covered in the Game License Agreement.
February 5, 2016, The development of this separate game continued while there was still
no license for it.
So far, Crytek has not paid for the Squadron 42 game.
I Quote: "Crytek has not been compensated for Defendants'
unlicensed use of Crytek technology in the Squadron 42 game, and has been substantially
harmed by being deprived of that compensation, which would ordinarily include a substantial
up-front payment as well as a substantial royalty on game sales."
On September 24, 2016, "Gamers Nexus" gave an interview with the man behind Star Citizen
"Chris Roberts", a painful interview to watch for CryTek.
"We do not call it CryEngine anymore, we call it StarEngine"
Shortly after the interview, the Crytek trademarks and copyright notices were removed from Star
Citizen, which is a breach of the contract, according to CryTek.
The 24th of September 2016, Amazon Lumberyard video game engine replaced the CryEngine.
Another breach of contract by Star Citizen.
"Crytek has been substantially damaged, and has failed to receive the balance of its full,
usual license fee," claims Crytek.
The reason for the exclusive use of the Cryengine is that the source code can never be disclosed.
On May 6, 2015, Star Citizen began posting a series of videos online titled "Bugsmashers"
where literally and figuratively confidential information is displayed which is also a breach
of contract.
August 26, 2017, Chris Roberts announced that they would work together with Faceware Technologies.
This company ensures that the facial expressions and speech of the character are copied from
the face of the player through webcam.
To achieve this, Faceware Technologies had access to information of CryEngine.
According to the agreement, no information is allowed to be disclosed with third parties.

"Better well stolen than bad invented" According to the document, Star Citizen has
made a copy of CryEngine.
I Quote: "Defendants have reproduced, displayed, and
distributed unauthorized copies of the CryEngine computer program to which they had access.
Such unauthorized copies exceed the permissible license terms and therefore constitute unlawful
reproduction, display, and distribution of the CryEngine computer program."
Conclusion In a publication by Techspot, you can read
that the companies behind Star Citizen have responded.
"We are aware of the Crytek complaint having been filed in the US District Court.
CIG hasn't used the CryEngine for quite some time since we switched to Amazon's
Lumberyard.
This is a meritless lawsuit that we will defend vigorously against, including recovering from
Crytek any costs incurred in this matter."
Despite being a big fan of Star Citizen.
It indicates that the creators of Star Citizen do what they want to do.
A written agreement has been agreed and every party must stick to that.
So if CryTek wins the case it "can" have dangerous consequences for "Star Citizen".
Because this is Crowdfunding based they run the risk that the investors withdraw.
This means the end of the story.
If I am an investor of something and I see that the company does not follow the rules,
I pull my hands back.
Players are also getting impatient.
The game is still in Alpha mode and everyone is waiting for Alpha 3.0.
Each time deadlines are shifted.
But on the other hand, players cannot complain because they know what they are signing for.
In general, you see that Chris Roberts pursue his dream in one straight red line.
This means that he sometimes has to make hard decisions and sometimes against agreements.
Let's hope that his decision is not a deadly decision.
But perhaps he use "notice of default" as a reason to limit the damage.
