We all should know that the largest country in the world is Russia, followed by Canada,

the United States, and China – although some sources state that China is slightly

larger than the U.S.

In terms of population, China comes top, followed by India, the United States, Indonesia, and

Brazil.

India is expected to take the number one spot from China by 2022 according to the UN, while

Nigeria is set to catch up to the USA or even exceed it in terms of population by 2050.

A UN report tells us Nigeria is the fastest growing population worldwide, and one of the

reasons the world's population will be 8.6 billion by 2030; 9.8 billion by 2050 and 11.2

billion by 2100.

But today it's all about the little guys, in this episode of the Infographics Show,

Smallest country in the world.

We'll start with smallest by land mass, and that is Vatican City.

Sharing a 2-mile (3.2km) border with Italy, it is a country located within the city of

Rome.

It has a land mass of 0.44 km2 (0.17 sq. miles), or measures about 109 acres.

Worldometers puts the live population of this country at 795.

In order to put this into perspective, Vatican City is about one-eighth the size of New York's

Central Park.

You can literally run around the entire country in about 30 minutes, though the lack of sidewalks

will make it not so much fun.

So, how did this little place become a country?

The area is home to historic sites such as St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel,

and so it was designated the headquarters of the Catholic Church.

It became a nation after the signing of the Lateran Pacts in 1929.

But why bother making this small area an independent state?

It's a very long story, but the gist of it is that the Papal States which covered

much of modern day Italy was coveted by the then neighboring Kingdom of Italy.

So, the Italians conquered the Papal States during the mid-19th century and the Pope retreated

to the Vatican – this was a base built around a hill where St. Peter's Basilica stood.

The Pope stayed put, and was not keen on the idea of being a prisoner in a Kingdom which

he believed didn't exist.

To cut a long story short, Prime Minister Benito Mussolini came in and made some moves

to make everyone happy.

He gave the Holy See its sovereignty, as well as lots of money.

The Holy See, or Holy Chair, is the universal government of the Catholic Church.

The Pope for his part acknowledged the Kingdom of Italy, promised to stay out of politics,

and a deal was signed.

That's why we have today's smallest country in the world.

But does it actually function like a country?

Kind of, yes.

It is governed by an absolute monarchy, with the Head of State being the Pope.

He has full legislative, executive and judicial powers, and if he should die and there's

some downtime, then the College of Cardinals wields those powers.

It has its own courts that act under the authority of the Pope.

It has its own police force, known as the Gendarmerie Corps of Vatican City State.

They look like regular cops and often carry Glock 17 semi-automatic pistols.

If you read about the biggest cases they were involved in lately, the main one was the arrest

of one of Pope Francis' key advisers whose apartment was said to be used for illegal

drug use and orgies.

The country also has had the Swiss Guard since 1506, but this department is solely responsible

for keeping the Pope safe.

All Swiss Guard members are Swiss 19-30 year olds who must be at least 5 ft 9 (179.8cm).

They must also be Catholic, unmarried men, that have done some training with the Swiss

Army.

Vatican City does not have a military force, but is protected by Italy.

What do people do for a living?

Not surprisingly, just about everyone from the Pope down works in some capacity for the

Catholic Church.

Everyone is of Italian ethnicity (Vatican citizenship) except for those Swiss Guard

we just mentioned.

This could be one of the many cardinals that work in the country, or working in some kind

of administrative position.

An amusing story we found was the job of the person or people responsible for overlooking

the Pope's tweets.

This went to a group called the Pontifical Council for Social Communications.

According to Slate, positions such as this are not posted on job sites but people will

be found via word of mouth.

You can be a lay person and fill a position, but many of the lay people that work in Vatican

City don't actually live in the country.

While its population might be only 795, CIA Factbook puts its 2016 labor force at 4,822.

It functions like a country in other ways, too, such as minting its own euros, printing

its own stamps, and also issuing passports and license plates.

It has a flag, a national anthem, and even has its own media outlets.

It does not tax its citizens, however, and for money relies on things like admission

fees for places of interest, and souvenir sales.

Vatican City has small industries such as printing services, production of coins, worldwide

banking and financial activities, and the production of mosaics.

The Holy See also has properties and land all over the world.

Vatican City heavily relies on contributions, and those are substantial.

It's actually seen as a very wealthy place in the world.

According to media reports in 2014, it was so wealthy hundreds of millions of euros were

discovered in sectional accounts that were not on the country's balance sheet.

How do you get to live in this rich country?

Well, as it doesn't have birthright citizenship, the only way in is if you are chosen.

Even then it might be for a short stint, which can be renewable.

There are no schools here, but religious training is given in parts of Rome.

So, since you can't work or study, you're just going to have to settle with being a

tourist.

You'd probably have a better chance of finding a job in the world's smallest country in

terms of population.

This goes to the Pitcairn Islands in the southern Pacific Ocean.

It's estimated that the population there is around 50-plus people.

These folks have an interesting story, with most of them being ancestors of British HMS

Bounty mutineers that made the island their home in 1789.

They also settled their with Polynesian tribe members.

The 50-odd citizens speak English or Pitcairnese, live under a government, for the most part

are Protestant Seventh-day Adventists, and they spend the New Zealand dollar.

It's a beautiful place, but when in 2015 the island sent message to the British press

that they needed people to emigrate there and that land was totally free, they got only

one interested reply according to The Telegraph.

New Zealand is 3,000 miles away.

There is only one general store that opens three times a week, and you must order food

three months in advance if you want supplies from New Zealand.

You might be stranded in the middle of nowhere, but according to the person responsible for

bringing in more residents, "Once you are there, you are as connected as anywhere else.

The island has electricity and the internet now."

The bluest waters you've ever seen, she said, adding that seeing the stars from this

island is magnificent.

Xmas Placeholders & table setting - Segnaposto e tavola di Natale:15 days of Christmas 2017 Day 15 - Duration: 5:31.

>> Hi and welcome to the last installment of my serie 15 days of Christmas

Yep, we reached the end of the series, time literally flew by

and as I did in the previous years too

the last video is always dedicated to the Christmas table

a great tradition and every year I show you

how I set mine

and this year I'll also show you how to make some D.I.Y. place holders

in the shape of a wreath like these ones

with the name of the guest

and I'll also show you my Christmas table

if you like the place holders idea and you are curious to see my table set

then keep on watching and here is what you'll need for the place holders

The template for the guests labels that you can download for free on my blog

printed on kraft cardstock,

some hot glue,

some red beads,

some fake pine or some rosemary,

scissors,

cutting pliers

and some iron wire.

You will also need some tiny red bows.

After we downloaded the template and we printed it on kraft cardstock

let's cut out the labels

Perfect, now let's thread the beads on the iron wire

in order to create a wreath with the diameter of around 6 cm, like so.

Then let's secure the wreath by twisting the wire like so.

Let's move on by cutting some fake pine to the right size

then let's hot glue them on the wreath

in order to cover the iron wire on top.

Now let's hot glue a ribbon in the middle

and as last step let's add the label always using the hot glue.

Now let's do the same in order to create as many place holders as we need

here are the place holders ready to go on the Christmas table

Now I'll show you some clips of my table set

as you can see here are the place holders

and the colors are the ones I love the most at Christmas time, white and red

with some shabby accents, in the center I placed

the center piece I created in a previous video

et voilà, my table is ready to host my guests

What Is Life Like In The Smallest Country In The World? - Duration: 6:50.

We all should know that the largest country in the world is Russia, followed by Canada,

the United States, and China – although some sources state that China is slightly

larger than the U.S.

In terms of population, China comes top, followed by India, the United States, Indonesia, and

Brazil.

India is expected to take the number one spot from China by 2022 according to the UN, while

Nigeria is set to catch up to the USA or even exceed it in terms of population by 2050.

A UN report tells us Nigeria is the fastest growing population worldwide, and one of the

reasons the world's population will be 8.6 billion by 2030; 9.8 billion by 2050 and 11.2

billion by 2100.

But today it's all about the little guys, in this episode of the Infographics Show,

Smallest country in the world.

We'll start with smallest by land mass, and that is Vatican City.

Sharing a 2-mile (3.2km) border with Italy, it is a country located within the city of

Rome.

It has a land mass of 0.44 km2 (0.17 sq. miles), or measures about 109 acres.

Worldometers puts the live population of this country at 795.

In order to put this into perspective, Vatican City is about one-eighth the size of New York's

Central Park.

You can literally run around the entire country in about 30 minutes, though the lack of sidewalks

will make it not so much fun.

So, how did this little place become a country?

The area is home to historic sites such as St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel,

and so it was designated the headquarters of the Catholic Church.

It became a nation after the signing of the Lateran Pacts in 1929.

But why bother making this small area an independent state?

It's a very long story, but the gist of it is that the Papal States which covered

much of modern day Italy was coveted by the then neighboring Kingdom of Italy.

So, the Italians conquered the Papal States during the mid-19th century and the Pope retreated

to the Vatican – this was a base built around a hill where St. Peter's Basilica stood.

The Pope stayed put, and was not keen on the idea of being a prisoner in a Kingdom which

he believed didn't exist.

To cut a long story short, Prime Minister Benito Mussolini came in and made some moves

to make everyone happy.

He gave the Holy See its sovereignty, as well as lots of money.

The Holy See, or Holy Chair, is the universal government of the Catholic Church.

The Pope for his part acknowledged the Kingdom of Italy, promised to stay out of politics,

and a deal was signed.

That's why we have today's smallest country in the world.

But does it actually function like a country?

Kind of, yes.

It is governed by an absolute monarchy, with the Head of State being the Pope.

He has full legislative, executive and judicial powers, and if he should die and there's

some downtime, then the College of Cardinals wields those powers.

It has its own courts that act under the authority of the Pope.

It has its own police force, known as the Gendarmerie Corps of Vatican City State.

They look like regular cops and often carry Glock 17 semi-automatic pistols.

If you read about the biggest cases they were involved in lately, the main one was the arrest

of one of Pope Francis' key advisers whose apartment was said to be used for illegal

drug use and orgies.

The country also has had the Swiss Guard since 1506, but this department is solely responsible

for keeping the Pope safe.

All Swiss Guard members are Swiss 19-30 year olds who must be at least 5 ft 9 (179.8cm).

They must also be Catholic, unmarried men, that have done some training with the Swiss

Army.

Vatican City does not have a military force, but is protected by Italy.

What do people do for a living?

Not surprisingly, just about everyone from the Pope down works in some capacity for the

Catholic Church.

Everyone is of Italian ethnicity (Vatican citizenship) except for those Swiss Guard

we just mentioned.

This could be one of the many cardinals that work in the country, or working in some kind

of administrative position.

An amusing story we found was the job of the person or people responsible for overlooking

the Pope's tweets.

This went to a group called the Pontifical Council for Social Communications.

According to Slate, positions such as this are not posted on job sites but people will

be found via word of mouth.

You can be a lay person and fill a position, but many of the lay people that work in Vatican

City don't actually live in the country.

While its population might be only 795, CIA Factbook puts its 2016 labor force at 4,822.

It functions like a country in other ways, too, such as minting its own euros, printing

its own stamps, and also issuing passports and license plates.

It has a flag, a national anthem, and even has its own media outlets.

It does not tax its citizens, however, and for money relies on things like admission

fees for places of interest, and souvenir sales.

Vatican City has small industries such as printing services, production of coins, worldwide

banking and financial activities, and the production of mosaics.

The Holy See also has properties and land all over the world.

Vatican City heavily relies on contributions, and those are substantial.

It's actually seen as a very wealthy place in the world.

According to media reports in 2014, it was so wealthy hundreds of millions of euros were

discovered in sectional accounts that were not on the country's balance sheet.

How do you get to live in this rich country?

Well, as it doesn't have birthright citizenship, the only way in is if you are chosen.

Even then it might be for a short stint, which can be renewable.

There are no schools here, but religious training is given in parts of Rome.

So, since you can't work or study, you're just going to have to settle with being a

tourist.

You'd probably have a better chance of finding a job in the world's smallest country in

terms of population.

This goes to the Pitcairn Islands in the southern Pacific Ocean.

It's estimated that the population there is around 50-plus people.

These folks have an interesting story, with most of them being ancestors of British HMS

Bounty mutineers that made the island their home in 1789.

They also settled their with Polynesian tribe members.

The 50-odd citizens speak English or Pitcairnese, live under a government, for the most part

are Protestant Seventh-day Adventists, and they spend the New Zealand dollar.

It's a beautiful place, but when in 2015 the island sent message to the British press

that they needed people to emigrate there and that land was totally free, they got only

one interested reply according to The Telegraph.

New Zealand is 3,000 miles away.

There is only one general store that opens three times a week, and you must order food

three months in advance if you want supplies from New Zealand.

You might be stranded in the middle of nowhere, but according to the person responsible for

bringing in more residents, "Once you are there, you are as connected as anywhere else.

The island has electricity and the internet now."

The bluest waters you've ever seen, she said, adding that seeing the stars from this

island is magnificent.

Game shows have entertained and thrilled audiences since the early days of television.

It's irresistible to watch regular folks use their skills and smarts to win cash and prizes.

Making a game show is a huge endeavor involving lots of people and moving parts to create

all that TV magic day in and day out.

Here's a look behind "Door Number One" to see how they pull it off.

Smoke and mirrors

A game show is an exciting, fast-paced, brilliantly-colored spectacle that lets viewers escape their lives

for 30 minutes.

But it's all just an illusion, of course, and in ways that might surprise you.

Camera angles, lighting tricks, and other image-manipulation techniques are used to

make things look a lot grander than they really are, for one thing.

A game show set, like the one used for Jeopardy!, is, according to one former contestant, only

about half the size of a school gym.

The studio audience that thunderously claps and cheers consists of, on average, about

100 people.

That seemingly massive wheel on Wheel of Fortune?

It's really only 6 feet across — just two inches taller than Pat Sajak.

Not just a guessing game

In 2008, a The Price is Right superfan named Terry Kniess was asked to bid on a backyard

smoker/grill combo, and he got it exactly right before making it into the show's final

round.

His potential prizes included a pool table, a trailer and a karaoke machine; Kniess bid

$23,743.

Then host Drew Carey revealed the actual total ...

"Actual retail price: $23,743.

You got it right on the nose."

"What?"

Per the rules of the game, Kneiss won both showcases, a value of $56,437.

So how did he do it?

Homework.

According to an Esquire profile, for four months, Kneiss and his wife, Linda, recorded

The Price is Right every day and reviewed the tapes.

They quickly noticed that the show tended to reuse products as well as prices.

The "actual retail price" was always revealed, and Terry just memorized every item's value

as best he could.

That, combined with "743," the couple's lucky number, did the trick.

Google to the rescue

Who Wants to be a Millionaire's famous "Phone-a-Friend" option, while it lasted, was an amusing way

for puzzled contestants to stay in the game by calling up a friend at home who just might

know the answer.

But let's be real: 30 seconds is plenty of time for that friend to just Google the solution.

If one Redditor is to be believed, the producers were just fine with that.

A user named "Toastwaver" who claims he was picked as a lifeline for a contestant on Millionaire

says the official preparation documents from the show's producers included

"no mention about Googling.

In other words, it was understood that using the 30-second window to Google the question

would be acceptable."

White lies

Part of the fun of Cash Cab is the sneak attack: Contestants get into a seemingly normal cab

and then get hit with the flashing lights.

They're delighted, they play the game, they win.

What a lovely surprise.

Yeah, it's a bit more complicated than that.

Producers can't just grab anybody off the street — it could be a tremendous waste

of time and money, after all, if they're not willing to go along with the game.

Former contestants told Mental Floss that production coordinators for the show approach

potential contestants in well-populated spots, like New York City's Union Square.

Instead of saying they worked for Cash Cab, they said they were in search of participants

for some other fictional reality show.

A former contestant told TV.com that a production coordinator approached him at the Union Square

Barnes & Noble about a travel show.

A few weeks later he got a call from the coordinator of the fake show telling him he'd been picked.

He was given a time and place to get picked up by a driver, and it turned out to be the

Cash Cab.

Car complications

While The Price is Right often awards exotic and fabulous vacations, there's nothing more

exciting than when a contestant wins a ...

"BRAND NEW CAR!"

In an interview with AV Club, former contestant Andrea Schwartz revealed that winning a car

on the popular daytime show is more complicated than you might think.

For instance,

"You don't just drive off the backlot with the car like I thought the entire time I was

growing up."

Here's what really happened: The show connected her with a Mazda dealer near the show's Los

Angeles-area studio, who then shipped her a car to a dealer near where she lived in

Nevada.

Regardless of where you live, the show requires contestants to pay California state income

tax on their prize right then and there.

So to get her not-quite-free car, Schwartz had to fork over some of her savings along

with $1200 she'd won minutes before playing Plinko.

So it's more like a "heavily-discounted new car," which is still nothing to sneeze at.

Secret Service Has Now Spent Over $150k On Golf Cart Rentals At Trump Properties - Duration: 4:06.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend when Donald Trump decided to play golf damn near every

day, the Secret Service was forced to spend $7,500 over that weekend renting golf carts

so that they could keep up with the President on the golf course and protect him should

the need arise.

Keep in mind, these were Trump-owned golf courses.

He owns those golf carts.

He owns the company.

He didn't have to charge them a dime to rent those golf carts, but he did because he gets

that money put back in his pocket.

In this last year, since Donald Trump became President, all the way until the end of November

-- we haven't even approached December yet -- the Administration, the Secret Service,

has spent $150,000 renting golf carts from Trump-owned properties here in the United

States.

One hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Do you know what the salary for the Secretary of State here in the United States is?

A little bit under $150,000 a year.

We have spent more on golf carts for the Secret Service than we do on our Secretary of State,

and many other governmental positions.

That's how insane things are in this country right now and, again, the most important thing

about this is not necessarily that we're spending the money, it's that we don't have to.

Trump owns those golf carts.

He doesn't have to charge them a dime.

This is insanity, folks.

Donald Trump swore up and down on the campaign trail that if he was elected President, he

probably never see his beloved golf courses or properties again because he'd be so damn

busy doing his job he wouldn't have time for golf.

Guess what?

In one year, this man has already golfed more than Barack Obama did in eight years, yet

every time Obama went golfing, FOX News treated it as if it was a massive scandal.

They're giving this Trump golfing story a big ho-hum, doesn't matter.

Well, it does, especially considering the fact that back in September, the agency ran

out of money because they were spending so damn much on golf carts.

I don't know how better to explain it, other than to say that this is insanity.

The bar for the President of the United States has now been set so low, it's just sitting

on the ground.

We have to demand more.

We have to demand better.

We have to expect better.

We cannot waste over $100,000 per year just so the Secret Service can rent golf carts

from Trump himself to protect Trump himself.

If the Secret Service people are as fed up as the rest of us, I would love to see them

step down.

I love to see them resign and move on and leave Donald Trump all on his own, because

he doesn't know how to handle his job as President.

He thinks it's all nothing but play time, as if he's some kind of toddler going to preschool.

You actually have to do some work.

You can't bankrupt the Secret Service just because you want to play golf.

You can't spend more at your own properties, money that you get back in your own pocket,

than we do on government officials.

That is a gross misuse of federal money.

Again, that federal money?

That came out of our taxes.

We're the ones paying for the Secret Service to rent golf carts from Donald Trump so that

they can protect Donald Trump.

This story may not seem like it's a big deal but, when you think about it, when you look

at what's actually happening, this is truly a disgusting story that more people need to

be aware of.

Even better yet, he's disregarded liberal complaints as irrelevant and is making sure

to stay focused on the important things.

Proving just that, he had Secret Service escort him to the hospital last night – and what

he did there has left the nation completely stunned.

After boarding Marine One, the President was taken to Walter Reed National Military Medical

Center near Washington, D.C., for a very special reason.Although many people were left in the

dark up until the last minute, Trump would eventually break the news just before departing.

According to American News 24/7, "The reason?

To visit wounded U.S. soldiers ahead of the holiday season."

But, that's not all.

President Trump is visiting wounded U.S. soldiers on Thursday at Walter Reed National Military

Medical Center just outside Washington, D.C.

"We'll be over there for a while, but we're just going to wish them a merry Christmas,"

Trump told reporters as he left the White House.

[Source: The Hill] Calling the soldiers "some of the bravest

people anywhere in the world," Trump decided to use his time at the medical center for

something even more spectacular.

As it turns out, Trump presented the Purple Heart to an injured soldier and an American

hero.

Today, @POTUS @realDonaldTrump presented the Purple Heart to an American Hero, at the Walter

Reed National Military Medical Center.

Come to find out, the man honored that day was First Lieutenant Victor Prato.

He was injured in Afghanistan in 2017 during a vehicle-borne IED blast and rollover incident

left him with "multiple soft tissue injuries."

This isn't the first time Trump has done something like this.

In fact, another similar incident took place just after he was sworn in as President.

Just after his inauguration, Trump disappeared in just that fashion, only to reappear a short

time later at Andrews Air Force Base — to greet the body of a fallen Navy SEAL.

He did it again Thursday afternoon, just 24 hours after a public press conference cheering

the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act — and he only answered one question before he boarded

Marine One.

Don't Forget Where You Came From - Duration: 4:12.

I'd like to share with you some of the best advice that I've received as a

Christian. So I was at a conference a few months ago, and I met this guy who's a

well-known evangelist, and I asked him, what's the best advice that you would

give to somebody like me who's starting in evangelism, that you wish you would

have received when you began. And what he told me just rocked me and blew my mind.

Instead of directly answering my question, he started telling me the story

about the man in John chapter 5, the man at the Pool of Bethesda. He's the most

helpless case there. For 38 years the man has been an invalid, and he's just been

neglected and just forgotten by the people. Priests walked by him every day.

And when Jesus comes to the man, He asks him "do you want to be made well?" I think

we know the answer to that one. But then Jesus says something that just seems odd

really. He tells the man to "rise, take up his mat, and walk." Now the rising and the

walking makes a whole lot of sense, but why take up the mat? It's just this

constant reminder of 38 years of neglect, abandonment, shame, failure. But that's

precisely the point. What Jesus is actually telling the man is to not

forget where he came from. And I remember when he told me that it hit me hard.

His counsel reminds me of the story of two separate people in the Gospels.

Their lives contrast in a unique way, but they actually converge at the feet

of Jesus. The first is Simon the leper, a religious

leader by trade who contracts leprosy. And this is the scary part because, to

the Jews, if you contract leprosy, that means that you're cursed by God. So

imagine being a religious leader who's cursed by God. He was an outcast,

he couldn't be amongst his people, couldn't even be touched by anyone, he had to live

separately. But Jesus heals the man, and restores his life and his ministry. Mary

Magdalene, her story is somewhat similar. She also was an outcast, but because of a

lifestyle of sexual sin, and this is something that separates her from the

people, but Jesus finds her as well, heals her, in one place we're told that seven

demons were cast out of her. This woman is healed of

her sordid past and she's set free. Simon invites Jesus to his house for a meal, and

Jesus is the guest of honor, but the focus changes when someone shows up to

the house and steals the show, and her name is Mary. She comes to the house

uninvited where this feast is happening and she begins to weep at the feet of

Jesus. She wets his feet with her tears, she dries them with her hair, and then

pours his oil all over the head and feet of Jesus. The whole house is fragrant

with this offering. Simon says if He knew who this was, He would not let this woman

touch him like this, and the disciples say that she's basically wasting this.

It's a waste of money to give her all for Jesus. She feels terrible, and Jesus

says leave her alone. But here's why I think this matters. In that day the

custom was when you had a guest that you were supposed to do these things for

Jesus. To wash His feet and to anoint Him with oil. For whatever reason, Simon

didn't seem to see the need to do this for Jesus. I believe it's because Simon

forgot where he came from, he forgot what Jesus delivered him from. But the

opposite, I believe, is true for Mary she remembered where she came from and

that's why she gave everything she had for Jesus.

I don't know where you find yourself today, maybe it's the story of Mary that

resonates with you, that you've been giving your all for Jesus, and no one

seems to appreciate or understand it around you. Maybe your's is the story of

Simon the leper, that you just lost sight of how precious it is to sit at the feet

of Jesus and give Him all that you've got. Regardless, here's the

beautiful thing, the answer to both situations, to have them, and to keep them,

is to not forget where you came from.

TOP 10 GORDON RAMSAY BURGER MOMENTS - Duration: 11:28.

If you're a fan of burgers AND of Gordon Ramsay, boy, do we have a video for you!

Here are some of his best burger moments, everything from his favorite recipes to his

trademark secrets on what exactly goes into the perfect patty, and as always, we'll

take a trip down to kitchens from Hell.

Before we jump into what's sure to be a delicious video, don't forget to hit subscribe

Gordon Ramsay's Perfect Burger Tutorial In this tutorial, we get a lovely view of

mother nature, a sick looking pool as well as some

step by step directions to making the Master Chef's

personal favourite "Perfect Burger".

"A busy grill is a delicious grill", he says as

he starts us up his own and seasons the homemade

patties with salt and pepper, drizzled with a

bit of oil – remember to combine the patty with

one egg, making sure they don't fall apart.

Cover each inch of the patty with the seasoning, turning and rolling it around in seasoning.

Laying the patty about two thirds of the way up

into the grill – the hottest spot, remember not

to move it around too much, or else you'll break

it.

Now none of us want that, do we?

From there, lid down on your outdoor grill as you slice

open your burger bun and season them in order to

get them ready for a light toasting.

This is good for the burger since it stops it from getting

soggy and sad – no one likes a soggy burger.

Season your onions and alongside the buns, place

them on the grill – don't forget to turn your

bun!

They're best toasted both sides – and...FLIP, the burger onto the other side.

You're getting closer!!

While the second side of the patty cooks, lightly brush a little bit

of butter onto them and quickly place some cheese

onto it!

Ramsay likes rich cheddar, but you do you – unless you like cheddar too.

Once off the grill, buns seasoned and lettuce and tomato

added, place the patty down onto the tomato, cover it with your delicious caramelized onions

and BAM – you have right there, a perfect burger

that will be the envy of your neighbours, friends and enemies alike.

Another Perfect Burger Tutorial!

If the first Burger didn't tickle your tastebuds, here's another one of Gordon

Ramsay's Perfect Burgers - don't worry about the

fact that there are one too many - Perfect, just

like burgers, come in all shapes and sizes.

Now this one comes with freshly seasoned ground meat

patties and a whole lotta intensity, amplified with ratios and numbers that you should probably

pay attention to in case the opportunity to impress him ever arises.

Both, with your perfectly measured out patty and your ability

to memorize these ratios, blend salt, pepper,

chilli flakes and an egg yolk with the ground meat – a balance of 70:20:20 ratio of Chuck

steak, short rib fat mixed with a touch of onion

and garlic powder.

The secret here is not to over do it – the same way cooking it to

perfection is to NOT overcook it.

Toast those buns - you know they're best and least soggy

when toasted.

Sear it well and this time, pop it into the oven for a good 8 minutes, letting

it soak in the juices once out.

These juices can serve as a sauce and make sure to soak the

patty in it before you place it between the buns

and, like a true Master Chef, serve it to perfection.

A Trip to Kitchen Nightmares In this little trip to Kitchen Nightmares,

we see Gordon Ramsay power through his frustration with a usual uncooperative chef who he has

to sit down and school, in under thirty seconds,

the art of making the perfect burger.

You've seen two examples above, but, like we said,

perfect comes in different shapes and sizes – so

here's one more, what he calls the secret to a

good menu.

This recipe calls for chopped beef, salt n' pepper, dijon mustard, Worcestershire

sauce, finely chopped onion, three egg yolks (get more and more out of breath running with

this) and make sure...to mix…. it all together really well.

This combo, which would be Leela's Famous Burger, is what people came for in

the first place – and what they got was the

Master Chef touch.

We could see the chef side of him slipping through – but then it was all sucked

back in - it's Kitchen Nightmares after all,

anything else would be too good to be true.

A Little More Kitchen Nightmares You've had it good for a tad bit too long.

While all burgers are perfect, there is so, so

much potential for things to go wrong – here is

one of the best ways, or rather, worst ways, in

which it can all go downhill in no time.

By now, you're probably a pro at figuring out how

to put together the perfect burger, right?

And remember how they come in all shapes and sizes?

Well this one's a doozy – after serving up raw burgers

from this hellish kitchen, we see them serve Chef Ramsay a burger big enough to fit into

the mouth of a cow – not even cutting it in

half makes it edible by human standards.

You can see everything wrong with it – soggy bun, unseasoned

patty dripping meat juice and bland commentary that leaves you feeling bad for anyone that

spent $39 on it.

You know what goes into a good burger – a quick checklist to catch up:

Toasted Bun, Mustard on Bun, Grilled Onions, Seasoned

Burger Patty, Lettuce, Tomato and an ear for any

criticism, especially when you're testing it out

for Gordon Ramsay.

The only thing this Cowboy Burger gets right is the fact that it calls

itself a burger.

And, maybe, the fact that it's made of meat.

Smoky BBQ Pork Sliders Remember how all burgers are beautiful?

Here's a little, quite literally, diversion from your

traditional burger.

The size of your palm and almost bite sized, the sauce is key to these

sliders, as we see here how to achieve the perfect BBQ sauce, and therefore, a Ramsay

approved BBQ Pork Slider.

Finely chopped onion and garlic seasoned with salt, pepper and

brown sugar is a good place to start caramelizing

your onions, a very important flavor when dealing

with BBQ sauce.

Toss in some smoked paprika for a kick of spice and, believe it or not, pre-made

Worcestershire sauce and tomato ketchup - the basics in every kitchen!

Cook it up until it's as thick as you like your sauces to be before

getting to the good stuff: unsmoked back bacon that you fry to crispy perfection alongside

finely chopped shallots reminding us of one important lesson: YOU DON'T SEASON YOUR PATTY

AFTER YOU'VE COOKED IT.

Okay, now that we've gone over that, you combine the crispy bacon

with bite-sized seasoned pork patties and fry

them like you learned only a little bit earlier, add the essentials - lettuce, tomato, patty

- and top it off with barbecue sauce...

Dee-licious!

Throwback to Hotel Hell Hotel Hell, if you are not familiar, covers

Chef Ramsay's trips to unsuccessful hotels and

documents how he completely flips the place.

Sometimes, like we see here at the Hotel Chester, he also cooks.

And if we know anything about Chef Ramsay, we know that he loves his burgers, and anyone

that loves burgers probably loves to serve up some good burgers.

In this case, to keep the hungry guests well fed as

they wait on better service without walking out.

Burgers bring people together, as we'll see

right here, when the dinner guests and the chefs

in the kitchen peacefully sit through the rest

of dinner service.

Usually it's tough since the hotel's owner got into a life altering motor

accident.

We see after dinner, Gordon shares a poignant moment with the chef, the wife of

the owner, who is doing all that she can to keep

the place afloat as well as take care of the needs

of her husband and her kids.

Now taking it upon himself to see this place through, Gordon

and the family work on fixing the menu, the rooms

and the décor, probably taking a break for a

meal of sliders that brought them together in

the first place.

Gordon Ramsay's Burger and Chips with a Healthy Twist All of you sitting at home and

thinking about counting your calories and carb intake – this

burger is a breath of fresh air.

Curated when Chef Ramsay was cooking up a storm for

firefighters, consisting of a relatively quick, cheap meal for guys that like their food big.

If that's you, well, we've got you covered.

These healthy, homemade beef burgers with beetroot

relish and potato wedges consist of the right amount of energy needed by active individuals

on a budget.

This is something you can quickly shop for and cook up for yourself, while still

having space for dessert!

You know how this goes: prep your meat with salt and pepper, add some Tabasco

sauce and cayenne pepper: REMEMBER NOT TO TOUCH

YOUR EYES OR FACE RIGHT ABOUT NOW.

Cut up potatoes into wedges and toss them into salted,

boiling water.

Season them as soon as they're out and shove them into the oven before getting

to your beetroot relish, made out of beets, olive oil and a splash of vinegar, topped

up with capers for that extra zest and then blend.

You know the drill now: Toast bun, season bun,

lettuce, tomatoes, patty, relish and you're all

ready to have your healthy, delicious burger.

What is a Bad Burger?

You've had it good for way too long.

We figured we'd put in a little reminder that not everyone

is a friend of a burger, which is why it is so

important for YOU to be good to every burger you come across, or at least take it upon

yourself to know the difference between a good

burger and bad burger, or at least a burger worth your time and one that you shouldn't

even look at – and when the time is right, to

prove yourself to be the burger expert.

In this clip from Kitchen Nightmares (are you even surprised?),

we see how… shady the chef is in the first place, "They're gonna love it anyway."

Too much confidence, right off the bat.

Not good, not good at ALL.

We see this staff lower its standards at a point of

desperation, switching out the bun for a slice of sourdough.

It's not a burger then, my friend - it's a sandwich.

Lesson 1.

The disappointment, as well as the long wait that lead to this reckless-shoddy-combination-of-everything

burger, but as a sandwich is just terrible!

Pre-frozen fries, pre-frozen ground beef, unseasoned, unsalted and below average - no

wonder this poor patron couldn't keep it in.

If it wasn't tears, one bite of that would

have definitely lead to barf.

We see none of the patrons happy, and especially not a happy Masterchef.

Buffalo Burgers from Scotland In this clip, Gordon Ramsay is cooking up

Buffalo Burgers in the great outdoors for friends and family.

This is iconic because it's burgers made out of buffalo meat and Scotland's

first ever Buffalo Mozzarella.

Exchange minced meat with buffalo minced meat, and then

everything else is the same – as per your preference.

Tightly minced red onion, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, Tabasco, salt

and pepper all blended in well make this baby good to go, topped with a wedge of mozzarella.

Chop up some tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, top

it up with olive oil and lemon juice.

The flavors all come together perfectly, creating

a beautiful symphony out of the many flavors

that you experience in something as enticing as

this – so good that Gordon even asks for a

percentage, before unleashing this divine combination to a large group of friends whose

nice day got even better.

Master Chef in the Kitchen Here we see Ramsay cook up a bunch of different

burgers on an awesome grill in his newly renovated restaurant.

All of us who are familiar with his work in burgers see familiar

sights.

The juicy burgers, the creamy relishes being made from scratch, salads being tossed,

tomatoes and lettuce being chopped up fine or

crushed to fit the size of the bun – always toasted and seasoned.

The sauces, as we know, he makes himself, followed by the all too

familiar wooden skewer down the middle, helping keep these babies together as well as making

our lives so much easier by making these delicious treats bite-sized - one bite at

a time one burger at a time.

What's so trendy and forward about this is the name of his own

place, "Burgr" - the G and R highlighted – evidently stand for Gordon Ramsay.

I wish my name somehow could be fit into "burger".

That's the dream, isn't it?

Ostrich Burgers!

Now, we've come across pork patties, beef and

ham patties and even buffalo patties.

Chef Ramsay entices us yet again with another

delectable burger creation: Ostrich Burgers.

This free range meat is low in fat and cholesterol, high in iron and tender to the

touch – all in all sounding like the perfect base as a great alternative to red meat.

Janet Street-Porter and Gordon Ramsay make quite

the cute duo verbally sparring about their

abilities to smash through an Ostrich egg, one

of the biggest eggs in the world.

It's nice to see a lighter side of Gordon Ramsay with his

own friends, especially when his friend serves up some really delicious ostrich burgers and

extremely popular with kids and adults alike from her food truck, Janet's Ostrich Mobile.

After actually stepping on and then breaking the egg all over the floor, the two share

quips about the health benefits of ostrich oil over

a giant boiled egg, dipping long bread sticks

into the yolk – delicious…

A Unique Burger: The Sportsman's Paradise Burger

What makes this entry so unique is the fact that it's been made by a young girl on the

hit show, Masterchef Junior.

Gordon has been seen to be terribly sweet to his chefs on the show

– and that's only because all of these kids

have shown massive potential – much more than

their adult counterparts.

Right from the toasted and sauced buns to the relish, Avery here seems

to have put together a perfect burger.

But what does the Master Chef have to say about it?

Well, right from the moment he sees the burger, he's pulled in by intrigue – as are we.

The "Sportsman's Paradise Burger" is an

invention right out of a book – and she brings to

it her own twist, with a Jazzy coleslaw and creole

spread, and sticking to her roots by adding some sweet southern potato chips as a side

dish.

The pork and venison combined make way for a perfect combination of juicy and

crispness, amplified by the tomato that brings out the tart flavor hidden in the slaw.

All that was a little bit off about this burger

was the somewhat soggy bun.

We all know how to fix that next time, now don't we?

The tax bill that Republicans passed this week

was more confusing than Janet and Jermaine getting back together.

President Trump is celebrating the single biggest

legislative victory of his first year in office.

The GOP tax plan passing the House and Senate Wednesday.

The American public has to be pretty confused.

They've got one side saying that this is going to be a huge gift,

and the other side saying it's a disaster.

This bill is like your coworker's casserole.

Nobody knows what's in it, and nobody asked for it!

Now, it's okay to be this reckless with your life,

but Republicans are out here

gambling with the lives of millions.

And they forced a vote faster than my mom popped me

for answering "Robyn!" with "What?!"

They want us to vote on this thing in about an hour.

An hour.

I spent more than an hour

making a decision about the refrigerator

that we recently bought.

Oh, you fancy, Elizabeth, with your new refrigerator?

What are you, a king?

Lord knows, after this tax bill,

the only fridge we'll be able to afford

is a block of ice in a shoebox.

Especially if we have brilliant economists

like Trump's daughter-wife on the job.

The rest of the world realized that cutting taxes

enabled them to be competitive.

And their rates dropped dramatically below ours.

If you think about it, small businesses

will have the lowest taxes since 1931.

1931?

You must be referring to the golden age

when children died of polio, and also the Great Depression!

But we cannot go back to the days

We can't do that.

And because the Republicans

have made this intentionally confusing,

everyone's understanding of this bill is about as secure

as the gavel Paul Ryan hammered it home with!

But here's what we do know.

Remember the Devil, right? All right.

Well, today's Republicans are just rebranding

his infamous trickle-down economics plan.

It reduces the corporate rate

from 35% all the way down to 20%.

Businesses are going to do just what we say:

reinvest in their workers,

reinvest in their factories,

pay people more money, higher wages.

I mean, higher wages sound great,

but hearing that private businesses

"will do just what we say" from a liar like Paul Ryan

is as reassuring as Steve Harvey saying,

"Hey, that's a nice suit."

(laughter and groaning)

Plus... plus...

CEOs are clicking "not interested"

on the Facebook invite to share the wealth.

I'm looking at a list of CEOs who said,

"We don't plan to reinvest."

What they're planning to do is to do stock buybacks,

to line the pockets of shareholders.

(woman) "The Wall Street Journal" asked a group of them

if they'd pump more money into their businesses

in front of Trump's very own economic adviser...

(man) If the tax reform bill goes through,

do you plan to increase

your company's investment, capital investment?

Just a show of hands.

If the tax reform goes through.

Well, damn! Don't everybody jump at once.

That crowd was like Waka Flocka: No Hands.

But super-rich corporations aren't the only ones

getting taken care of.

Super-rich people are finally catching a break, too.

The top five percent of income earners

in this country

are going to receive over 60% of the benefits

of this bill in 10 years' time.

And, in fact, next year are gonna receive double

the share of benefits from this bill

as working class families.

Dang! The middle class is about to be

like a fake friend when you get into a fight,

'cause it's about to disappear.

And for their next trick,

Republicans are making Obamacare vanish.

This is not just about taxes.

Republican Congress is doing something

it has failed to achieve for the last seven years:

gutting Obamacare.

These sneaky bastards!

Americans preferred Obamacare by a two-to-one margin,

but Republicans just slid in their de facto healthcare repeal

like A.S.A.P. Rocky in his favorite pair of slippers.

I mean, are those the only pair of shoes he has?

Unfortunately, many Americans

might only also be down to a pair of shoes

after losing their healthcare.

found that the number of people with health insurance

would decrease by 4 million in 2019

and 13 million over the next decade.
