Hi friends! And welcome
to one more video from the Cool Hooby!
we are in Camboriu beach
SC, Brazil
this is a very famous beach
well known not only in Brazil
but also in the South America
Since this is a very rich beach there are a lot of videos
showing a lot of findinds in this beach like gold rings, necklaces and bracelets
but this beach is known of having a lot of pull tabs too...
so what I've done: I'got some hints from the colleagues that hunt here
got some instructions
I''ve also studied the beach area and planned the action, the hunting
I've broght my two detectors too
and let's go, let's see how it will be!
For those who do not know this is the sandshark
a PI detector
it works with Electro-Magnetic pulses
it is very simple to use folks
to turn on, signal preset and sensibility
where you ajust the PI signal intensity
volume on the right side
threshold, which is the backgroud noise
and below, at the right end
the final volume
and below the signal knob
below the threshold which is the background noise is the final volume for you
two operational modes, the normal one
which you define the tone
and vco mode, where the tone is already defined and ajusted
Tesoro ShandShark
Tesoro brand
it is an American brand, famos on the US
but not very known here
but it is very similar to the
SeaHunter Mark2, Garret's SeaHunter
which is a PI too
so let's see. In fact, if the beach is "dirty" than the
best recomended one to use here is the Excalibur, from the MineLab
which has discrimination
the PIs do not have it
but lets see what is gonabe

even the Excalibur would have problems by detecting them all
indeed...
lets see if it is another pull tab
if it is...
I'll go out of this place
where there is a lot of pull tabs, no way to hunt
if you find a lot of them
no way to continue, you need to give up
You need to look for another place
one more....
lets see if we can move to another place
need to get out from here
we will not be able to do nothing here....

where thera are a lot of them you can't stay
either you can
goes deeper in the sea,
but there were a lot of waves there...
or you seek for another place
therefore we came here
and I've found a signal and let's see what it is

this is something you'll find a lot too
but is different from what we have been found
a lot of can's pull tab there
and now we found a heavier object
that could mean
here we might have a better chance
to find something better!
people looking at me like I am an E.T.
but, the hint is to stay closer to the whater
if a lot of those curious people came I'll go to the whater.. this is my technique
a very high signal, very strong
I knew it would be a big thing
but just by curiosity I've decided to dig it

to preserve it

so the hunt with the sandshark is over ...
so folks, since the shandshark stop working...
for luck I got my other detector
the GoFind60, which is a VLF
lets try to use it on the dry sand. With the large number of volleyball courts
it might be a good strategy for hunt
so let´s go out and do a hunt
yes guys, we are here right in the beach center
where we will find the most beach umbrellas at day
where the Argentinians stay
just in the central avenue
but I came here thinking that it would be quiet
ikn order to..
do my detecting hunt at the dry sand
since this is the best place due to the number of sunshades
but no way jose
no rest here
look how is the movement now
really hard
if I start detecting on the dry sand I´ll became a turist attraction...
well folks
there were I would like to hunt
was really crowded as you could see
but I came down here
following the sea shore
following the line of the tide signals
and I found a interesting place here
which is much more calm, so I´ll go back
and let´s see
if we can find anything, let´s go then

I´ve placed the sensibility low and I´ll remove the iron
keep the good volume since I have headphones
let´s go start with it!
here folks is the first pull tab of the night
let´s continue
do not loose the faith!
guys
I´ve found around 15 pull tabs till now
so I´ve changed the settings of my detector
I´ve remove the aluminium
left only on the two last IDs
even that it means to loose some gold rings
but I needed to because of the pull tabs
but the GoFind is performing very good!
it is detecting good with good strong signals
the only problem is the amonth of pull tabs
so my strategy is to come back
a more faster than before
and I´ll try on that volleyball courts there
let´s try there
after this there was a unique pull tab that signed like silver ......!
well folks, it is starting to rain
after more than a hour and a half
coming from the beach center down south
pull tabs and garbarage
and here in the last hole
I´ve found this
looks liks silver
look like cool it is!
I was almost giving it up
after almost two hours...
the hint is on the sand type ;-)
our detecting hunt is comming to an end
to finish it I´ll make this volleball court
here in front of the apartment
I did 4 of them yesterday, but did not find anything interesting
only garbage..
this is the last missing one...

kind of a rusty but let´s clean it up and see how it will look like
well, here is the summary of the hunt
earring that I´ve found with my detectorist eye...
the silver ring, a aluminum buckle
a small bijou
and three current coins
I got a little surprise with the bijou first because of the litle shinny
And there is the relick mantle, my tribute to the great Cicero, Relic Explorer
well guys, for those who wants to start with the detectorim
I can give a hint of how much trash we find on the beach
look at this
lockers, bottle caps, etc...
keys, key lockers
almos 2 pound of metal trash
from my two last hunts
and.. .without counting the pull tabs
the amonth of pull tabs that we remove are enormous
therefore, fo those that want to start
it can give a proportion of the relation between
the amounth of interesting findings and
and amounth of garbarage of the same hunt
it gives a good idea
you need to like this hobby first of all
and for my "BIG" treasure chest
the enourmous treasure chest that I have
will go my silver ring
I did clear it with hot salty whater
as I saw some hints on the youtube
and on the google.. but I not clear it up as I was expecting
