Hi everyone mi name is Carolina,

and today we are gonna make a recipe with an ingredient

which I personally didn't like when I was a kid.

Sometimes we make the mistake saying we don't like some food without having even tried them.

In this case, Pumpkin or Auyama like we call it in Colombia.

My mother has always liked it,

and well, I used to say - "eww that's gross" I don't like it - without having even tried it.

Here In Germany, where I now live,

people frequently eat pumpkin during fall and winter as it is a seasonal food.

One can oftentimes find in restaurants and people cook it at home.

Today we're gonna make a delicious soup.

In this case, I'm gonna use a butternut squash pumpkin,

but if you don't have this one, it's ok, just use the one you can get.

Pumpkin is delicious and has a kind of a sweet flavour,

and it's ideal that you include it on your diet, why?

It is full of vitamins A, B and C

and important minerals like zinc, iron and potassium.

So please, let's make an effort to include this type of food in our weekly diet.

The ingredients for our pumpkin soup are:

Ginger, it may seem spicy to some people, so make sure not to add too much of it.

We're also gonna add turmeric,

I cook with it very often.

It's very beneficial, one of its properties is that it's anti-inflammatory.

We're also gonna use two white onions,

two long onion stems,

one carrot,

three garlic cloves,

and approximately one can of coconut milk.

Let's start with our recipe.

The good thing about this recipe is that we're not gonna use any kind of oil.

Cut all the ingredients in cubes, in this case I didn't cut them very small.

Put them all together in a pot,

add some water but don't cover all the veggies, just around 1-2 cups.

Put a lid on and make sure the veggies are cooking.

Mix them

This is gonna take around 20 minutes.

Mix the veggies.

Feel free to add more veggies to the soup.

Now that I have the consistence I need, I'm gonna use this hand mixer,

if you don't have one, use a blender,

just make sure to let the soup cool down a little so there are no accidents.

Blend the veggies,

This is the texture I like.

Now add the coconut milk,

keep blending,

add the turmeric, and mix,

Add a little bit more coconut milk,

add salt and pepper to taste,

you can also add a little bit of cumin.

Mix,

taste it,

looks like the soup is ready.

Our pumpkin soup is now ready

and as you can see I added some cilantro and also some black sesame seeds,

those have a lot of calcium.

FEARS that North Korea will launch a nuke has forced one of Kim Jong-un's top targets

to reinstate a special protocol not seen since the end of the Cold War.

Next month Hawaii will bring back the "attack warning" siren to prepare its citizens for

a nuclear strike that could reach the US state 20 minutes after being launched.

The system was last used during the height of the Cold War when the US and the Soviet

Union were prepared to plunge the world into nuclear war.

It will now be coupled with safety advice, which recommends people hide with supplies

to last them at least 48 hours following an armageddon-like blast.

Vern Miyagi, administrator of the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, said it is vital the island

paradise is ready for any threat from Pyongyang.

He added: "Hawaii is a likely target because we're closer to North Korea than most of

the continental United States.

"As we track the news and see tests, both missile launches and nuclear tests, it's

the elephant in the room.

"We can't ignore it.

People of Hawaii need to know what we are doing in preparation for this."

Luckily, top military officials believe 80% to 90% of citizens could survive an attack.

Hawaii's alertness appears to be well placed after the US deployed an "attack radar plane"

right under Kim's nose as fears mount that the North will carry out a fresh missile test.

The rogue state has been talking up the possibility of detonating a hydrogen bomb over the Pacific

Ocean.

An unannounced test of this kind would be the ultimate provocation and could spark World War 3.

What's the percentages?

How do I make money and what are all the different ways to get paid and when you look at the compensation plan?

I've looked at hundreds of compensation plans

And I've looked at all the percentages most companies in this industry payout forty to fifty six percent

And it's so refreshing to be part of a business that does everything

virtually through iCloud

Technology not having the huge overhead being able to take that same money instead of paying it to pay off your office

You're paying it out to the field. I mean ultimately it's the affiliates

We drive this business, and you know our mission has been commissioned. We want to pay our affiliates out the most money possible

It's been amazing to be able to create that and pay out more money to the field and attract more and more

professionals in this space

My success in network marketing has been primarily as an affiliate so when I founded my daily choice

I built this company as if I was an affiliate looking for a network marketing company

This is a company that is built for affiliates built by and affiliate

1) EASY METHOD: Divide Decimal Numbers - Duration: 3:10.

Hey guys – today we're going to learn how to divide decimal numbers.

In this video, one number will be a whole number and the other number will be a decimal

number.

This is the first video out of two that I'm going to post on this topic.

You should be comfortable with dividing and should understand decimals before watching

this video.

Ok – let's try our question for today.

72 divided by 0.9.

We are going to complete this question in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: We need to change the decimal number to a whole number.

We do this by multiplying it by 10.

0.9 x 10 = 9.

We have now made our whole number.

What we have done here is made the question a lot easier to work with.

We have to make some changes later to make sure the answer is right, but that will be

in the final step.

Step 2: 72 divided by 9 equals 8.

This can't be the answer to the original question so we need to modify this answer

a little bit to get the right one.

Step 3: Multiply the answer by 10.

I know what you're thinking…why do we multiply it by 10 because we multiplied it

by 10 earlier?

To make this easier to understand, rewrite the whole thing as a fraction.

If you rewrite 72 divided by 9 as a fraction, you get 72/0.9.

Now times the denominator by 10 – for the fraction to be equivalent, you must do the

same to the top as you do the bottom.

So, it becomes 720 divided by 9.

That means the final answer is 80.

This might seem a bit strange to you – how can 72 divided by 0.9 be bigger?

Usually when you divide the answer it becomes smaller – well that's not always the case

with decimals.

Let me make it easier for you to understand with a money example.

If today you earned £72 and I gave you that £72, 90p at a time, how many lots of 90p

would I need to give you.

It's going to take quite a while for me to keep giving you 90p all the way until I

reach £72 isn't it?

If I gave you this in £1 coins, I'd give you 72 of them.

But giving you this in lots of 90p would take even longer to reach £72.

I'd give you 80 lots of 90p to make £72.

Bit confusing at first, but trust me – a few more trials at this and you'll be absolutely

fine.

1) EASY METHOD: Convert a Recurring Decimal to a Fraction - Duration: 2:38.

Hey guys – today we're going to learn how to convert a recurring decimal to a fraction,

without a calculator.

To be able to understand this, you'll need to know some basic algebra and you'll need

to be comfortable multiplying numbers by 10, 100 and so on.

Ok, let's try our question for today.

Convert 0.43 recurring to a fraction without a calculator.

There is a simple method to this, but you must follow it step by step and it'll work

for you, I promise.

Step 1.

Write out some standard equations.

I want you to write out x = 0.43 recurring, then 10x = 4.3 recurring followed by 100 x

which will be 43.3 recurring.

This step is going to give us the tools we need to answer the question.

Notice 100x and 10x – After the decimal point, they only have the recurring 3.

Their decimal columns match.

Step 2: To answer this we are going to pick 100x – 10x because their decimal columns

matched up.

100x – 10x = 90x.

Substitute the values above into that equation and we get 43.3 recurring minus 4.3 recurring.

This gives us 39.

That will give us 90x = 39.

Now we have the easy part – find x.

90x = 30, which means x = 39/90.

Simplify that further and we get x = 13/30.

We know 13/30 must be the answer because earlier we made x 0.43 recurring.

1) EASY METHOD: Multiply Decimal Numbers - Duration: 2:17.

Hey guys – today we're going to learn how to multiply decimal numbers.

In this video only one of the numbers we are multiplying will be a decimal number.

To be able to understand this better, it would be better if you had good multiplication skills

already.

Ok, our question for today is 16 x 0.4 We are going to complete this question in

3 easy steps.

Just sit back and watch this and pause the video from time to time if you need to.

Step 1: Change 0.4 to a whole number.

To do that, we do 0.4 x 10 which will make 4.

The reason we do that is because it's much easy for us to work with a whole number.

You're probably thinking that what we've just done is going to change the final answer

– you're right, but we're going to undo what we've just done later.

Step 2: We now have 16 x 4.

The answer to that is 64.

Now, the answer to 16 x 0.4 can't possibly be 64.

0.4 is 40%, so the question is like asking what is 40% of 16.

No way that can be 64.

This brings us on to step 3.

We now need to undo the change from earlier.

Earlier, we multiplied 0.4 by 10.

What is the opposite of timesing by 10?

Of course, it is to divide by 10.

So, we do 64 / 10 = 6.4.

That means the answer is 6.4 Check out the next video where we will multiply

Hey guys – today we're going to convert a recurring decimal to a fraction.

This video is the second video on this topic, so if you haven't done so already, watch

the other video.

Ok, let's try our question for today.

Convert 5.2 recurring to a fraction without a calculator.

Step 1: We follow our method from the other video.

Write out the equations for x, 10x and 100x.

We are going to minus one from another.

Can you see that they all end in .2 recurring?

That means we can pick any 2, but the easiest to select will definitely be x and 10x.

Step 2: 10x – x = 9x.

Let's now plug in our values above.

52.2 recurring minus 5.2 recurring.

That gives us 47.

So 9x = 47 Let's now find x.

This means x = 47/9.

Hi everyone mi name is Carolina,

and today we are gonna make a recipe with an ingredient

which I personally didn't like when I was a kid.

Sometimes we make the mistake saying we don't like some food without having even tried them.

In this case, Pumpkin or Auyama like we call it in Colombia.

My mother has always liked it,

and well, I used to say - "eww that's gross" I don't like it - without having even tried it.

Here In Germany, where I now live,

people frequently eat pumpkin during fall and winter as it is a seasonal food.

One can oftentimes find in restaurants and people cook it at home.

Today we're gonna make a delicious soup.

In this case, I'm gonna use a butternut squash pumpkin,

but if you don't have this one, it's ok, just use the one you can get.

Pumpkin is delicious and has a kind of a sweet flavour,

and it's ideal that you include it on your diet, why?

It is full of vitamins A, B and C

and important minerals like zinc, iron and potassium.

So please, let's make an effort to include this type of food in our weekly diet.

The ingredients for our pumpkin soup are:

Ginger, it may seem spicy to some people, so make sure not to add too much of it.

We're also gonna add turmeric,

I cook with it very often.

It's very beneficial, one of its properties is that it's anti-inflammatory.

We're also gonna use two white onions,

two long onion stems,

one carrot,

three garlic cloves,

and approximately one can of coconut milk.

Let's start with our recipe.

The good thing about this recipe is that we're not gonna use any kind of oil.

Cut all the ingredients in cubes, in this case I didn't cut them very small.

Put them all together in a pot,

add some water but don't cover all the veggies, just around 1-2 cups.

Put a lid on and make sure the veggies are cooking.

Mix them

This is gonna take around 20 minutes.

Mix the veggies.

Feel free to add more veggies to the soup.

Now that I have the consistence I need, I'm gonna use this hand mixer,

if you don't have one, use a blender,

just make sure to let the soup cool down a little so there are no accidents.

Blend the veggies,

This is the texture I like.

Now add the coconut milk,

keep blending,

add the turmeric, and mix,

Add a little bit more coconut milk,

add salt and pepper to taste,

you can also add a little bit of cumin.

Mix,

taste it,

looks like the soup is ready.

Our pumpkin soup is now ready

and as you can see I added some cilantro and also some black sesame seeds,

those have a lot of calcium.
