but on the Nordschleife! <> Yes, exactly, in the legendary GREEN HELL.
And not with any bikes.
but with the ultimate naked fight iron from the island, from Triumph.
Here we have the Street Triple 765 RS
and over there, the Speed Triple 1050 R.
So the two top bikes from Triumph.
"Top" especially because of both of them has got everything on board you would need.
Not only to survive in the green hell,
but for nearly any road
on this planet.
First, the horny little three-cylinder
This delivers 123 hp at 11,700 rpm. <> Yes, it really needs some rev
Yeah, the announcement alone 11,700 revolutions. <> 5-digit revs
which is then already Supersport level. And Supersport is this engine,
because that is from 2019 the official engine for all the Moto2 pros.
How much power the engine do by 2019
now we do not know, but here we have the 123 horsepower and 77 Newton meters
That's neat for 765 cubic.
You feel the difference to the "old" 675 engine
you have more midrange power here.
It's got a little bit more punch.
At 10,800 revolutions is this top Newton meters level.
You also realize,
that you can drive a little lazy switching.
The chassis is high end.
Rear Öhlins STX 40 suspension, fully adjustable
The fork comes from Showa
Also fully adjustable. Compression and rebound damping are adjustable as usual above.
A characteristic of the fork so that the preload of the spring
is set below.
Otherwise it is up here where you often get there difficulties with the tool. Great idea.
Super idea is also the anchor.

One can choose the contrast of the display in two different stages.

Speed Triple
R !!!
The Triumph veteran. Massive three-cylinder.
140 hp at 9,500 rpm. <> A British wrecking ball!
112 Newton meters at 7,800 revolutions.
Swedish Gold at front and back.
Öhlins TTX shock fully adjustable
Öhlins fork fully adjustable. "Fully adjustable" always means in compression and rebound damping and spring preload.
Mono blocks from Brembo.
Mega anchor.
No automatic switch.
That's a bit unfortunate.
This should be putted onto the wishlist in Hinckley. <> Yes, but you can upgrade it by aftermarket parts.
But there is much more hot stuff, for example the single-sided swingarm.
The outstanding rim.
That's cool gimmicks.
Feature of Speedie still ar
the two top mounted exhausts at the rear. This is cult.
And also the double head lights at the front.
That's a trademark of the Triumph fighters
up from the beginning.
And either you love this independent style or you buy a Japanese bike...?!
But we come once to the interior values. Have you ever said something to the engine performance?
Yes, still did it!
Ouch, I was still in full Nordschleife delirium.
Because we ride this two massive fighters "through hell"
Exactly on the Nordschleife, for the Roadster Magazine. <> 22 Kilometers, about 70 turns. Up, down, right, left, blind corners.
We just had one day because of bad weather conditions on day two.
But still did 500 kilometers through Green Hell.
That was so much fun and we will definitely go back. So, but first let's take a look at the dashboard here.
Even the Speedie not only has got ride-by-wire, a slipper clutch, traction control,
disconnectable ABS and various driving modes.
Although I must say that there is no reason to turn off the ABS system completely.
Both bikes has got an Race mode with an nearly perfect adjusted ABS system
so that I don't know any reason to turn it completely off.
It works smooth and very late.
And if it regulates then, it realy makes sense.
OK, there is this option but if you don't want to make a stunt show
don't touch it.
It's also true that if you're in the mode race- or driver-specific and by disabling the ignition and turn it on again
You must manually turn on one of these both modes again. <> Right, I was just a little annoying.
but it make sense.
Now let's look at the dashboard of the Speed Triple.
Everything here is a little bit more simple. But also all on board.
You can change the drive modes easily between Rain, Road,
Track and Rider.
Here you can also configure the settings again even in the "rider" mode.
There is also a lap timer. That's it.
But now we can even say something about the ride.
How was it? '' I was initially very focused on the track.
Now I'm certainly not the slowest, though I'm not like ... but also not the slowest!
On the Streetie I could relax
and focus all my concentration on the track.
Because the Streetie easily forgive a lot more and it is much easier to drive than the Speed Triple.
It is more agile. It is...
... did I still tell you, that it is much easier to drive?!!
Right!
I have started on the Streetie and it went really all quite easily by hand and then we swapped
But when I got on board of the Speedie, I realized that
you must fully concentrated on what you do. I will not say that it is difficult to drive or unwieldy.
But the Streetie just makes everything easier.
So now you could say "who needs the Speed Triple then?"
The Speedie is a tank.
The ultimate wrecking ball.
And if you're focussed by 100% on your ride
then this bike is ... hell yeah!
And then my colleague could try as hard as he can to escape
he's got no chance. The Speed Triple is enthroned on a massive torque mountain.
Really cool!
because what gushes out of him ?? What is he talking so much???
So a significant plus for the Speed Triple is also the intake sound when you open the throttle.
wouuuup ... that's a massive sound.
For me personally, the Speedie's more of this all-day bike,
in order to go to work, ride on the home track and go on a vacation with it. And also for the full attack.
But as faster the ride is, the more you have to focus yourself.
However the Streetie is all time more easy and chilled, also at highspeed.
In my view, it therefore does not exist: this is the right thing for you, for him, for whatever.
You have to consider what kind of rider you are. What kind of ridingstyle would you like to.
What kind of rider are you??
Hm, what kind of rider I am? In my fantasy I'm the kind of rider with a very huge garage
with a lot of bikes
But just in your fantasy?!
OK, so if I thing about a guy - or a girl
that
rides sporty and likes to go on track just a few times a year
and just wanna have fun.
Then, he or she should take the Streetie.
If you love this massive torque and power cruising, choose the Speed Triple.

we did all this fun with bikes, that we didn't tuned up
