Youtube daily report w Dec 6 2017

Do you want to know everything about

the lunch box that you can buy at the stations in Japan? NO? Seba will talk about it anyway

EKIBEN are these delicious lunch boxes

that you can enjoy while you are riding your shinkansen, are a MUST

every station has its special one

and if you try them all you can win a ticket to see SEBA on cosplay as himself in FALLEN

while FALLING ! ! !

you can instead eat SORABEN

which literally means SKY LUNCH BOX

you can instead eat SORABEN

which literally means SKY LUNCH BOX

and here we are EKIBEN

which is an OBENTO (LUNCH BOX)

that you can buy at the station

and each station in Japan has it's own

for example this is from HOKKAIDO, that one from FUKUI,

this one with meat is from FUKUSHIMA

this one with GYUTAN is from SENDAI

This one with ANAGO is from HIROSHIMA

and it's written they they are a couple, a couple of ANAGO

this is from OKAYAMA

this one if from KOBE, there are so many, and they are all so different

this one instead is from OSAKA

and as you might now Osaka it's famous for its teppanryori and kushiyaki

so there is for example a TAKOYAKI

another KYUTAN (beef tongue) from SENDAI

I can't decide with one I should buy

these kind of obento are very special and highend that why they are a bit expensive

these one are from NARA

and infact there are the sushi inside the leaf which are typical from NARA

this one instead is from FUKUI

there are so many and they are all so good

these EKIBEN are a specific kind of OBENTO which you eat on the train

so basically you buy them before get on the train

and than you will eat them on your high-speed train (shinkansen)

they are really really good, i really can't decide

but since I love fish I get i might take this one with SEA URCHIN

on this one with IKURA

but I'm not sure yet, cos even this on look very delicious

I DON'T KNOWWW

I actually like this one too that I've just eaten in Nara

oh well I'm gonna go for this one, KYUTAN salt-taste

we had just got this EKIBEN from SENDAI

and now I'm gonna take another one which I couldn't find downstairs from KYUSHU

i personally love ekiben and I really love eating on the train

I don't know why, I just like eating

we had chosen the most famous one

which is almost sold out for today

we had spent 20€ in lunch boxes

for our dinner

and I'm sure they are worth

if you didn't had enough time to buy on in in the station

don't worry

you can also buy obento on the train platform

however they won't taste as good

and they might be a little more expensive

also they aren't EKIBEN but just normal OBENTO

so... mehh

they train is coming

be careful not to cross the yellow line whil the train is coming

and wait until the train has stopped before getting on board

on we are now on the shinkansen and we are about to eat this ekiben

this one comes from KYUSHU, i'ts beef

it's smell very good and I'm sure I will taste great too

and we have this one as well which is

beef tongue, from sendai

here we go

I can't wait to try it, it looks very fresh

and it smells so good

which one would you prefer? this one from SENDAI

or this STEAK from KYUSHU?

let me know in the comments

the kyutan it's salty and has a very strong flavor

let's eat it with some rice

which is a must in every Obento, let's eat it

this is the beef steak

let's try this one too

gochisousama

let's throw it away

a mirror

male toilet

normal one

here where you can throw away cans and bottles

as long as you can wait in line for a long time

and if you are on the plane

How To Make A Christmas Stocking For Your Cat! DIY Christmas Stocking! Cat Christmas Present - Duration: 4:00.

Hi guys! Welcome back to the channel it is Claire and Rags and as you can see

we have our Christmas tree up which means it's nearly Christmas which means Christmas DIYs

Me and Rags are going to be showing you how to make these utterly

adorable a cat stockings and there's one for Rags and one for Godiva

These stockings are really easy to make and super super fun so if you want to learn

how to make these cat stockings then just carry on watching okay so for this

DIY you were gonna need some felt of various colors

A pair of scissors, either a hot glue gun or some fabric glue I'm going with my trusty hot glue gun

and anything that you want to decorate your stocking with I have some little

jingle bells, some sparkly pipe cleaners and some fun little pom poms alright the

first I'm gonna do is take our felt I've chosen this nice red one, coz it's very

Christmasy and fold it in half and then using your scissors cuts out a stocking shape

All right so what now we have two pieces that are stuck in shapes next thing you want

to do is stick them together or sew them together and where you prefer I'm gonna

go with my hot glue gun because I am terrible at sewing I really should learn

sometime soon so in order to do this separate two pieces and just glue along

the edges of one of the stockings

Okay so once that is stuck or sewn together this

is the fun bit take all the bits that you want to decorate your little

stocking with and just decorate it however you want

I will take some of this sparkly pipe cleaner and make a little R out of it

And there wehave our finished product! Our very cute personalized kitty cat

stocking for Christmas! Now good idea is to use from the offcuts from the felt

make a little loop and attach onto it so that you can hang it up

Ragsy seems to really approve of it! Thank you Ragsy!

and of course I've made one for Godiva too! Now you can either hang these on your

Christmas tree or on a mantelpiece whatever you have and you can put some

little Christmas treats in there for your cats to open up on Christmas Day

what do you think Ragsy? I hope you find that DIY fun and a festive. Now I

want to see the cat stockings you have made your furry friends. Share them on

our Twitter or Instagram at @relaxmycat - Ragsy will pick her favourite and

you could be in a chance to win a RelaxMyCat T-shirt! So get making

If you did like the video please hit that subscribe button and leave us a big thumbs up and

don't forget to tell other notifications to keep up to date with this channel

thanks again guys and Rags and I will see you in our next video! Bye!

First video game - cartridges [PT-EN-ES] - Duration: 5:55.

I will tell a story for you to come children.

Hello YouTube folks here your friend Powermafia continuing Atari series now exchanges

The exchanges usually lasted only one day because if it lasted another day or the weekend

to my mother to realize that you lent that game in wanted to see him back then

You went to a friend's house with a game by example enduro or something else let me get it

other normally one day or maximum the end of week later it returned.

But there is a boy there on the street who was the role of the area I have a video that is more in detail

in powermafia game channel I'll leave it in the description that I explain how it was.

But it was basically a pyramid system we lent the game to him and with that

game I would go to another person and get the other one game there I would get that other boy's game

I got a game from another boy I would change it changing and I do not know how I will know later

Where was your game and usually my mother always asked.

Where is that squirrel game Where is that postman game I do not know what you have

You ask for it back for boy.

I usually delayed to bring game back was complicated but I also

I do not have much to complain about because thanks to him I accessed several games I would take

to get or could not if not was his help like the game of Kangaroo

You control mommy Kangaroo I have to rescue her cub from the little monkeys game

cool i like it a lot i've been too addicted in this game i was not very well not all

the game You have one legal souvenir and another trading system was also the guys who

exchanged cartridges you took a cartridge and for a small fee you took the other

different game for your house that was the old of Lapa.

I'm going to take here the link of the description I explain exactly how the system was

change it cool and cute funny if you think of a cartridge be the boy who

make the other roll you picked up that the cartridge spoke up it would say it was already

within a 20 to 50 atari because the cartridges were running quite a bit.

I'll always remember the first stump that I took from the old man from Lapa he was a guy

that trocavacartucho in the neighborhood of Lapa I was small boy and with my mother to see two

or three cartridges and the old one from Lapa spoke a is the one here I will change, another is the one here I will not

change why this cartridge is bichado. I looked at so bichada bichada has no bug here

There is no bug there today game.

It was already for my mother I asked him he said that the cartridge is bichado I went with my

Mom there because my mom was a little farther away there he explained.

Cartridge bitchado this one that is with the mark of the bolt that somehow already

had an attempt to open the cartridge and the child is also fire open only

to see the chip inside just to see if the character was in there or to see

the chip to see how it was the electronic thing and also happened very this of own

cartridge that depending on the brand the electronic part her and go inside and you really had

that open the screw and make the repair to the cartridge is in the correct position but

The old man from Lapa did not want to know and he looked at the cartridge with disgust like that.

This cartridge is bichado was very funny good staff is that there I am closing the

my first videogame series I hope you liked the videos a hug

of your friend Power Mafia Stay with God

I Don't Know How To Learn Programming! - Duration: 7:06.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

Today, I'm going to be answering a question from Carl and Carl says that he can't choose

which source to learn programming from.

He said, "I found many resources to learn about web development like freeCodeCamp,"

which is a good resource, by the way, "Mozilla Developer Network, Codeacademy and etc.

My concern is that I'm having a hard time choosing which book or site I should focus

on because I keep on searching if there is a better resource for me to learn web development

that leads to craziness on what I should choose.

My question is how would I be able to pick and stay focused on a certain site or book

to learn web development?"

This is something that is kind of near and dear to my heart because so many people are

making this mistake today, Carl, not just you.

Everyone is sort of looking for this golden goose line one-stop shop for learning to become

a software developer, and that doesn't exist out there.

Not really.

I mean there are some good programs.

I've done courses for a company which I highly recommend called Pluralsight and they've got

a bunch of courses.

I've done courses there and there is a bunch of courses that will teach you a bunch of

things and there's learning paths.

There's treehouse.com.

There's, like you said, free Codeacademy, which is really a good resource or freeCodeCamp

which a lot of people have recommended.

They have paths and there's coding boot camps and what not.

What I find honestly is that what you need is that none of these resources are going

to be complete in themselves.

It's not like you're going to take one of these resources and just follow some step-by-step

process that's going to take you all the way from point A to bam, you're certified, you're

a developer and you can start writing code.

Now, some of these things will take you close to that if you follow them, but it might take

you like two years or three years.

Maybe that's not the time frame that you want to do this in, right?

Even still, is it really going to guarantee that you're going to learn everything that

you need to know?

Especially, how could they think about it this way?

There's a lot of different paths you could go in the software development world, so many

different technologies and choices.

How could they create specific learning plans that are going to take you specifically through

each one of those paths?

Now, some of them do a decent job of trying, but, ultimately, you have to realize this.

It's your responsibility for your education.

Even if you're taking going to college, even if you're going to a coding boot camp if you're

learning on your own, it doesn't matter how you're learning and whatever you're learning

in life.

You have to be ultimately the person responsible for your own education.

This is a really, really important concept to understand.

You can't just say—I think a lot of people, a lot of millennials catch a lot of this shit

today because some of them have the attitude, not all of them but some of them have the

attitude of, "Hey, I signed up for college.

I followed the program.

I did what I was supposed to do.

Where's my job?"

It doesn't work that way.

Life doesn't work that way.

Nothing works that way.

If it did—there are some things that work that way.

Maybe dental school works that way, I don't know.

I haven't been to dental school, but maybe when you come out, you pop out as a dentist

and then you can just be a dentist.

That's probably true, right?

Maybe.

The highly rewarding things in life, although dentistry is pretty reward—I guess you can

make a lot of money, but aside from that one contradiction, it's actually a lot of work

though.

The highly rewarding things in life are not easy.

You got to figure the shit out of yourself, for example, being an entrepreneur.

Really, really hard but really, really rewarding if you get it right.

There's no guide books.

There's nothing that's going to tell you exactly how to build the business from A to Z and

exactly the steps that you need to take.

Most things in life are like that.

What you got to do is you got to be really good at taking—figuring out first of all,

what's your goal?

I talk about this a lot.

I've done a lot of videos on this, but it's so important is that so many people are trying

to learn software development or learn anything is they don't have a defined goal.

They don't know what exactly they are trying to learn and trying to become.

Without that, it becomes really difficult to know what you need.

That's why you're looking.

You're like, "Just tell me.

Just give me some steps I can follow or some course I can take and at the end, I'll pop

out and be able to write code."

It doesn't work that way.

Instead, what you got to do is you got to have the goal and then you got to say, "What

is it going to take for me to get this goal?"

Then you take some pieces from here.

You go to freeCodeCamp and you take some pieces from there.

You go to Pluralsight like I mentioned before and you watch some of my courses because that—my

courses, that's right.

No.

You watch some courses on there.

You grab some books and you grab the pieces of information that you need and you don't

necessarily have to read books to cover to cover.

You don't have to necessarily watch the courses from beginning to end, except for

my courses.

You know what I'm saying?

But you don't have to do all that stuff and you don't have to complete everything

on freeCodeCamp.

Instead, what you got to do is you got to pull the pieces that you need and assemble

your own education.

That's going to be better than any education that someone else is going to assemble for

you.

A college is not going to prepare you with a four-year program for entering the job force.

It's just not going to happen today, I'll tell you this.

So many people believe that this is true.

A code camp is not going to prepare you by itself.

It's going to require some external work on your own.

You're going to have to go and grab some books and read some stuff, and do some tutorials

and do some projects on your own.

You really need to figure this out from the perspective of not which is the best resource

because it doesn't matter.

You don't even have to find the best resource.

You could use shitty resources and get a great result, as long as you're the one who is the

curator of the pieces of information that you need.

I've gotten a lot of good information from crappy resources because I'm like, "Oh.

Well, this is a golden gem here.

I'm just going to pull this out, use what I need here, and I'm going to use it."

I read hundreds of books, almost a hundred books a year and I pulled pieces from the

books.

Some of the books are total crap, but there's one gem in it and I pulled that piece out

and I used that piece.

I'm always focused on trying to create my own plan.

What is it that I'm trying to learn.

What is it that I'm trying to achieve in life and how can I grab pieces from everywhere

that I need and put together my own plan that's superior to any because I don't expect anyone

to do it for me.

I don't expect there to be a golden path that I'm going to walk down the yellow brick

road and come to—actually, I do.

If I go down the yellow brick road.

Where do you get to?

You get to the Wizard of Oz.

What is the Wizard of Oz?

He's a fraud.

He's a phony.

It's a fake dream.

That doesn't exist.

Instead, you got to piece together the pieces for yourself, but it all starts with, again,

this mindset.

You got to think about you being responsible for your own education.

All right.

I hope that helps you.

Whatever Happened To The Man With The Golden Voice - Duration: 4:49.

For a brief moment, Ted Williams captivated America as "The Man With the Golden Voice."

One minute he was homeless, the next minute he was famous, and his rags-to-riches tale

was the feel good story of 2011.

But not all fairytales have happy endings.

So, whatever happened to The Man with the Golden Voice?

The 'golden voice' goes viral

Williams' overnight fame dates back to a video posted by The Columbus Dispatch in 2011.

At the time, Williams was homeless and asking for help on the streets of Ohio, aided by

a sign that read "I have a God-given gift of voice."

"When you're listening to nothing but the best of oldies, you're listening to Mantic

98.9.

Thank you so much, god bless you."

His remarkable sound went viral.

A $375,000 dollar book deal and offers from Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, MSNBC, the Cleveland

Cavaliers, and many other opportunities soon followed.

Williams, whose former radio career was sidelined by years of addiction to drugs and alcohol,

had suddenly been given a second chance at life.

"Kraft homestyle macaroni and cheese.

Cheesy noodles topped with golden brown breadcrumbs.

You know you love it!"

He struggled to stay sober

About a week after he became famous, Williams admitted to talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw

that he was still drinking and agreed to enter a treatment facility.

A spokesperson for The Dr. Phil Show told CNN that Williams' decision was fueled in

part by a physical altercation with one of his daughters.

Williams lasted just 12 days in the facility before leaving voluntarily.

About four months later, Williams returned to rehab, committing to a 90-day program.

After entering treatment, the Cleveland Cavaliers opted not to pursue a working relationship

with him, and other gigs were also put on hold.

Tell-all

Williams appeared on the Today show in May 2012 to discuss the release of his book, A

Golden Voice: How Faith, Hard Work, and Humility Brought Me from the Streets to Salvation.

The memoir revealed some startling information, including that Williams was a delinquent parent

and had even played "a role in prostituting his girlfriend so he could get money for drugs."

Despite his struggles, Williams said he was maintaining his sobriety and had surrounded

himself with better people this time around, admitting, "[I take it] one day at a time."

'I own nothing'

In October 2014, nearly four years after his life-changing video, The Columbus Dispatch

sat down with Williams for a lengthy interview.

Williams revealed that despite all the opportunities that came with viral fame, he was struggling

to make ends meet due to people taking advantage of him.

"A lot of things that I signed early on in 2011, I probably shouldn't have signed.

A lot of people that were involved in my life then shouldn't have been."

One of those people was his former manager, Alfred Battle.

In 2016, Battle again tried to convince Williams to work with him on an unspecified project

in Africa.

Luckily, Williams said no, as Battle was arrested at the Newark airport for trying to smuggle

a half million dollars worth of heroin into the country from Ethiopia.

Williams for president?

Of all the wild stories to come out of Williams' rise to fame, none was as surprising as the

time he announced he would be running for president of the United States.

According to USA Today, Williams made the announcement in June 2015 while appearing

on Scott Spears' Now radio program.

"I was created to create change.

I want to do it big.

Looking at all the other people running, I said why not change things on the highest

level."

Alas, his bid for the White House concluded by the end of that summer.

He told NBC News, "I wanted to focus on other things.

I wanted to inspire and encourage."

Williams comes full circle

Five years after the video that made him famous, The Columbus Dispatch profiled Williams again

to see how he had been doing.

This time, the news was good!

He had landed a Pepsi commercial and had even begun starring in his own weekday radio program,

The Golden Voice Show, in Columbus.

The best part: it was on WVKO-AM, which was the same radio station where Williams began

his career in the '80s.

According to Christian Today, Williams said during one of his shows, "I'm almost like

a poster child for redemption."

He gives back

In 2016, Williams was featured in one of Oprah's Where Are They Now?

segments.

While recapping the story of his rise, fall, and rise again, Williams became emotional

about his desire to leave a legacy of which both his fans and family could be proud.

To that end, he has been working with homeless charities, even returning to Friends of the

Homeless, a shelter that he once relied on when he was down and out.

"I was right there at the head of the line, waiting for my handout.

So this is where I have a lot of loyalties now.

It's just exciting to meet the people and to embrace them with hugs and all of that

stuff, because they know that I was just five years ago in the same situation that they

were."

Williams has even larger charitable aspirations, however.

He wants to open up a homeless laundromat, so that those who are in the position he once

was have a shot at getting back to work, just like he did.

Sail Video Blog 11: Paxos Island. Sailing, Cycling, Walking and Diving for Treasure.. sort of! - Duration: 6:26.

The Beaufort scale tonight is a force 9. It's 55 miles per hour winds.

Okay it's 4 o'clock

in the morning. I think we're through the worst of it now.

One of the buildings I was using as a transit switch its lights out at about

half past three which completely confused me so I had a bit of a panic.

The anchor chain seems to have held

The wind's changed direction a bit so the swell's not so bad. So I think we're gonna

be all right. So I think a cup of tea and get my sleeping bag.

I'll stay on deck for now. Might as well see the rest of the night out on deck.

Everybody sleep alright last night? No! It was really stormy and I could hear the

wave.. really big waves splashing on my cabin.

So the next day the weather calmed a bit so he could go around the corner and we went into a

little inlet called Gaios on the same island of Paxos. It's really pretty.

We went stern to. We had a few problems getting the anchor down and we had to

sort of do it again because it wasn't holding again. We were really relieved we

didn't go there the night before because it wouldn't have been good the night

before; it was better to stay where we were. But it was a lovely town and we got

the bikes out. My oldest daughter went cycling with dad.

We've come to a new place and we're looking around to see if there are any good shops or cafes.

And now we're going along the sea because over there is a dead end and a place where the ferries

come in and out. And it's quite a nice path.. like a winding path.

I was a really nice place to stay for a few days. We went for a walk in the olive

groves right to the top of the hill and the kids loved that. We just talk as we

do it; it was good to get our legs working and good to spend time with them.

Yeah we even found a handbag at the bottom of the sea so my middle son dove

down to try and retrieve it and we couldn't wait to see what was inside - we

thought there might be some money and some treasure but when we opened it up

it turned out that was just a whole bunch of shells. The other thing about that

place in Gaios - it was a town quay so we we only really expected to pay about 10 euros

but the authorities came around and we got charged about 35 euros. It was really

expensive and it's not something we can afford to pay every night because

we're on a budget. Yeah we're leaving Paxos and going to Parga again.

Paxos was really quaint. There were lovely squares and

little alleyways we are cycling down.

We had a few traumas like the washing machine flooded the boat.

Right just got the washing machine going

and oh yeah and our anchor wouldn't bike as well - that was pretty bad - and we got charged loads

of money it was like 35 euros for one night which we can't afford to pay that.

So luckily she didn't come round the next night so we've got two nights for 35 euros

which was a bit better. So we had a lovely walk up the hill and

a lovely two days actually - two days of good home schooling as well

kids have really enjoyed it haven't you kids? No!

We're going to Parga which is over there somewhere.

The kids are more confident on the boat - they want to move around the boat a

bit more so we've kind of got the lifejackets out and the

lifelines so they can clip on they can move about the boat quite comfortably.

As we've been going along I've been trying to fix the kiddie netting on which

just makes it extra safe really on the boat. We're still trying to work out what

safety measures we're gonna use really. Yeah that's probably a whole blog in itself.

When we anchor down we've got dinghy that gets us to shore and back

and the dinghy has been repaired. There was quite a few things wrong with it.

Some of those things repair but not everything could be repaired so it still

leaks quite a bit; we have to keep pumping it out. It's not the most

reliable dinghy at the moment - it'll be nice one day maybe to replace it. We're also

you know, just adjusting - this is a whole new life and it's different for

everybody - we've all got to adjust and even though you know you could describe

it as paradise in some ways it's still you know a whole new life they

need to adjust to.

Right, just get to the point Woody!

How this legendary hip hop producer humanized a machine - Duration: 10:24.

What you're looking at is an MPC 3000. It sits in a room amongst the most iconic

relics of our country's musical history, and that room is on the fourth floor of

the National Museum of African-American History in our nation's capitol. that MPC

was owned by J Dilla, who composed some of the most revered beats in hip-hop

history. Technology has just taken a giant leap forward. Hello I'm Roger Linn,

and this is the MPC 60 MIDI production Center created by myself and Akai

professional. The MPC is this compact machine that's a holding station for all

types of samples which you can play with 16 touch sensitive pads. The very first

model shipped in 1988 for just a few thousand dollars and it was Akai and

Roger Linn's elaboration on the Linn drum machine. The concept though of taking

samples of prerecorded sound and composing with them existed long before

the late 1980s, but those machines were limited by their price and portability.

The MPC was a different beast because it really put you in the driver's seat in

terms of a sonic texture that you wanted to have. That's Brian "Raydar" Ellis,

and that's his MPC Renaissance. You know really just make a mess of it.

It's a fully customizable machine where as you look at maybe like the Linn drum

or the Roland tr-808 which were specifically drum machines, the sounds

came pre-loaded and you couldn't change them. In short, the MPC 60 was the

musical brain of the studio. By 1994 when Akai introduced the MPC 3000 it was the

tool of choice for many of the top hip-hop producers in the game including,

J Dilla. I think the thing with Dilla that

inspired so many producers is that he was able to use such a wide vocabulary

of technique. J Dilla was a producer out of Detroit in the mid-90s through his

early death in 2006 from a rare blood disease. He passed away just three days

after releasing one of his most fascinating and beloved albums, Donuts. He

worked with an astounding list of iconic artists and pulled off the majority of

his sound with just a few simple instruments, machines, and digital samplers, one of

them being the MPC. He knew how to get into every piece of the MPC and use it

to a musical advantage. So let's talk about J Dilla's drum style first. He

figured out how to humanize the drum machine by avoiding certain things that

he could have done to make it more robotic, make it more stiff. For instance

the MPC has this incredibly useful tool called quantization. What quantizing does

is it takes your performance, let's say I'm playing my drum pattern, and when I'm

playing it, sometimes it's a little ahead it's a little bit time. If your kick

drums are off by a little bit, quantization snaps them in place. And so

a lot of producers they use quantize, not as a crutch, but just they just weren't

thinking about not using it and so Dilla was like yeah I'm just gonna turn this

off. The result is a discography full of incredibly off-kilter drums.

This loose strumming style was incredibly influential. When Red Bull

Music Academy interviewed Questlove he said J Dilla's drumming technique

single-handedly changed how he played. Whereas this part is normal sounding. It sounded like

the kick drum was played by like a drunk three-year-old. I was like "are you

allowed to do that?" So like that to me was the most liberating moment. Dilla

was known for his signature low-end texture and his drums accounted for a

lot of that sound. Here's just a regular sampled kick, here's what that same kick

with the high-end cutout sounds like. You'll hear that kick in a lot of Dilla

beats, like on The Pharcyde's "Runnin".

The other half of Dilla's Low end came from his bass lines. He had a way of kind

of getting the fuzz in the pump out of a bass line.

The MPC gave Dilla the flexibility to create and manipulate his bass in a lot

of different ways. J Dilla didn't just you know drop out of nowhere and just

know how to do everything all at once, he was listening to a lot of the the

legends. In fact, producers like Large Professor, they used this technique a lot

to get extra mileage out of the sample. So right now I got this loop this is Gap

Mangione "Diana in the Autumn Wind."

In order to get a verse section what producers would do is they would filter

out the high-end and they just leave this base space in here for the rapper

to rap and then when the chorus came back around they bring all the

frequencies back, so you have a verse section and of course section

two-for-one sale.

One of my favorite Dilla baselines though actually came from his moog

synthesizer which was custom made by Robert Moog himself. Just focus on how

much his bass line rattles the low end of the song and meanders in and around

the beat. He's very meticulous about you know what was going to kind of ooze and

lay back a little bit. You listen to his Moog bass and it couldn't care less if it got

there on time, but somehow it does. He internalized every possible technique

used in hip hop and expanded upon it, and he did so with just an intense love and

curiosity of sounds, and a lot of patience. If we look back at E=MC2

we've got an incredible sub bass-y low end and example from an

incredibly off-the-wall song by Giorgio Moroder. Something that that makes this

record stand out is the "equals" how he extended it, because if you just listen

it kind of only goes for a few beats, and he was able to extend it as far as

he wanted.

There are so many songs that showed J Dilla's ability to flip a sample, but

there's one that gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

A lot of people think sampling is easy because they're like oh they're just

listening to the melody on top and they're not thinking about what the

instruments below that lead melody are doing and how they're playing a role in

the beat. The first 40 seconds of "Don't Cry" is just a few long loops of The

Escorts "I can't stand (to see you cry)" - he barely did anything with them. He's

basically saying "this is all I have to work with"

at 40 seconds though he says "now look what I can do with this MPC."

Instead of chopping to the melody, he chopped up a handful of kicks and snares

throughout the entire song regardless of the melody on top of it, and like little

puzzle pieces, he resequenced those kicks and snares to

create this entirely new dreamlike song.

I think Dilla was just like super funky a lot of that had to do with you know

him being willing to not care if the record speeds up or slows down as long

as it feels good you know and just throwing that care out the window and

just being like "forget quantize man, it does what I say it does" and just rocking like that.

Akai has released a steady stream of MPC since

the MPC 60 and 3000, they've gotten glassier, more high-tech, more portable,

and more integrated into digital audio workstations than ever before. But those

16 pads and scroll knob have persisted, and that tactile design has even

influenced the design of countless other pieces of audio software. In the

instruction manual for the MPC 3000, Roger Linn gives an introduction, and in

that introduction he asks the people that use the MPC to treat it like an

instrument - it's like the modern-day piano or violin. And even though a lot of

people say J Dilla never read the manual for the MPC 3000, he still internalized

that same idea. He used his MPC like Jimi Hendrix played his guitar, or John

Coltrane played the saxophone - it was an extension of himself.

That's probably why out of all the MPC's used by countless hip-hop producers and

beat makers over the years, J Dilla's is in a museum.

Hey thanks so much for watching the video, I want to give a special thanks to

Brian "Raydar" Ellis. In addition to being a professor at Berkeley, he is also an emcee and

producer and I've linked his work below in the description. You will also find

all of my sources and a lot of amazing links to further reading about J Dilla

if you want to learn more about him. I didn't make a Spotify playlist and

that's because one of the greatest ones about J Dilla already exists. I've linked

to that one in the description below it's like 16 hours long it's amazing.

Mongrel any animal resulting from the crossing of different breeds or varieties, especially

We have no idea what breed the mongrel is, but he looks like both a pit bull and a Doberman

pincher.

The hybrid mongrel was a mixture of several types of breeds of dog.

Although he wasn't a pure-breed, the neighborhood mongrel was both feared and loved by all of

the children.

Found malnourished on the street, the young mongrel terrier was taken to the nearest veterinarian

for treatment.

Each mongrel hound in the pack was rabid and needed to be put down before they bit someone

Californians Stunned To Learn That LA Paid Over $1.3 Billion DOLLARS In The Last 2 years To… - Duration: 3:14.

Californians stunned to learn that la paid over

1.3 billion dollars dollars in the last two years - at the risk of sounding like a broken record

I am going to say something Ivy said dozens of times in the past welfare

Fraud is a real problem

And the latest numbers from LA prove it if you listen to your typical liberal talk about it you d think

Welfare fraud barely exists you d probably think the greatest recipients of benefits are Bible Belt

conservatives or American servicemen being in denial requires a lot of mental footwork

but it s difficult to deny cold hard math and

The numbers are in LA paid out well over a billion dollars to people who weren t supposed to receive benefits

Because among other things they really GLE immigrants, but there s actually good news behind all this

Fox News reports

illegal immigrant families received nearly one point three billion dollars dollars in Los Angeles County welfare money during

2015 and 2016

Nearly one quarter of the amount spent on the county s entire needy population

Robert rector a Heritage Foundation senior fellow who has written extensively

And illegal immigration said the costs represent the tip of the iceberg dot he said the costs of education police and fire

medical and subsidized housing can total

$24,000 dollars per year in government spending per family much more than would be paid in taxes

Let s be a little bit cynical fad is we could talk all day about the dangers of letting people break US law

But that s. Not even the most important issue

No the most important

Is this are the people whom you re letting in the country contributing if your country were a business would you be in the black?

But as much as illegal immigration might hurt the economy

There is a light at the end of Tunnel and a tents there because of Trump and only Trump

Do the math even if you were to build a wall and deport every illegal immigrant

You still won't he be on a financially sound basis for a long long time?

walls cost money

deportations cost money lots of it your best bet is to discourage people from coming here illegally in the first place and

That is exactly what Trump has done dot the trump presidency s hardline immigration policies though

Maybe curtailing the population seeking welfare payments in recent months

The same stats show Los Angeles County is expected to dole out 200 million dollars less this year than in

2016 and several thousand fewer families are collecting benefits

there you have it without even a fully-functional wall Trump is putting the country on sound financial footing and

All he had to do was say he D enforce the law the law

Cosmos cannot hold it.

Windcharger can hold it!

Seaspray cannot hold it.

Powerglide can hold it.

The slingshot goes to Wheelie.

There is also a second way that he can hold the slingshot.

VLOGMAS #4 - SHOPPING HAUL #3 - Look Book, w/ENG SUB - Duration: 6:54.

Hi everyone, I'm Martyna!

And I want to welcome you in my first video in December! (yeah, it's not, I know it now :D)

*dog's barking* MARLEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!

Hey everyone, I'm Martyna!

And I want to welcome you in my first video in December! (yeah, it's not, I know it now :D)

This is why I have my reindeer's horns!

I have them on my not only because it's December,

but also my first Vlogmas but also because

it's a shopping HAUL!

And I'd have to show them to you anyway! :D

I bought them just for videos, I want to recored all videos in December like this :D

This is how December is going to be on my channel!

I will even change my profile picture :D

Hope you like it, hahaha :D

But ok, let's be serious!

I really want to show you what I bought.

I didn't buy too many things,

but of course I made a look book

try-on shopping haul!

And I'm very happy about it, because I just love to make those videos!

So yeah, I bought everything, when I wanted! :D

Alrighty, let's start!

... seriously this time!

I bought few things I really needed, like a mouse to my laptop.

I'm not going to show it to you, it's nothing exciting :D

But look at this! I needed this TINY tripod :D

I think it's the sweetest tripod in the world :D

But honestly, I really needed something to hold my camera (here in Greece).

You don't wanna know who my actual "tripod" looks like!

It costs only 0,99 euro, so even if it breaks down, it's not a big lose.

OF COURSE, I also bought my horns, for 1,50 euro.

They were more expensive than my tripod... :D

I bought two more things.

But we need a backstory to one of them!

When you come to my house

you would have no idea that I love Greece so much.

Or that I've even been here or live here...

It's kinda logical that I would like to have something to memorize all my trips!

Ehmm.. No. :D You can't find even one thing :D

I don't even have pictures hanged on the wall :D

NOOOTHING!

But I don't have them because,

when I'm going back to Poland

I never buy antyhing for myself.

I'm buying gifts for my folks and my friends.

But even then, I always choose something useful.

Like food, drinks, cosmetics, etc.

I don't like baubles or any kind of decorations...

BUT!

Now I have time, to think about home decore :D

I want some changes in my room

I want to make it nicer for me and of course for my videos!

So I was thinking thinking and thinking, and

And finally I have an idea in my head!

So I started to collect stuff I need for it!

Few days ago I visited a store, which I called "AliExpress in real life"

and I found two really good looking baubles!

Moreover they are also symbolic!

It's a symbol of Christmas and New Year in Greece.

Anddd... it's a pomegranate!

Pomegranate is a symbol of multiplicity, plurality.

In this time you can see them everywhere.

Of coruse, it's also time when pomegranates are blooming this time in a year.

I can eat them all the time, they are so tasty!

I boguth two of them.

I really like them, because they have beautiful color,

in this one you can see the seeds,

and this one is closed.

I didn't pay much for them.

Open one was for 2,50 euro and closed for 2 euro.

I was shopping in Jumbo,

and as I said before, it's an AliExpress in real life.

I was talking about it in my two previous videos.

In "Daily Vlog" from 23/11.

and in my video about "5 unusual facts about Greece".

Hope you will check out both of them!

And now it's a time for my favorite TRY ON!

Give it a thumbs up and leave a comment if you like it!

And I will be very, very, very pleased if you subscribe to my channel.

That's all! Keep on watching! Bye!
