Fun Listening & Speaking Activity | Describing Words Around the Home - Duration: 6:22.

Hello and welcome to today's lesson - Describing Nouns!

In this lesson, we are going to describe nouns

that you will find around the house.

This lesson will help you practice your listening and speaking skills.

These nouns are at a beginner level.

However, we encourage all learners to give it a try

because it's a great way to practice your speaking.

For this activity, Ioana is going to describe six different nouns to you.

You will have ten seconds to guess and say the answer.

Each of these nouns is something that you will find around the house.

Remember, this activity is to help you improve your listening and speaking skills.

This is why it's important that you speak.

Let's see an example before we start.

Ioana will describe a word to me, and I will guess the answer.

Here's the word.

You're ready for this?

Oh, I'm ready.

Okay. Here we go.

This is something you sit down on.

It has four legs and a back.

You will find these around the table or at a desk.

Do you know what I'm talking about?

I think the noun you are describing is a chair.

Now that you know how the activity is done, let's begin.

Ioana will describe a noun to you, and you will try to guess that now.

Remember to say your answers out loud.

And after we finish, I will go over the answers with you.

Ready? Let's get the clock up there.

You find many of these around the house.

At night, people turn them on because they give the light.

Sometimes, they're next to your bed and you use them to read.

Can you guess what this is?

This is something you will find in a dining room.

This is something with four legs. People eat there. People put their food on this.

Can you tell me what this is?

This is the place where you sleep.

On it, there are sheets. There are pillows. There are blankets.

Children love to jump up and down on this.

Many times people say, "I'm tired I'm going to..."

There are many of these around the home .

You open and close them and go from one room to the next.

You can also lock these if you don't want people to enter.

Open and close.

What is it?

This room in the house has a sink

where you brush your teeth or wash your face or wash your hands.

It has a shower where you wash yourself.

This is a piece of furniture you find in the living room.

You sit on this and people will watch TV or a movie.

This is big enough for two or three people sit on it.

They're very comfortable.

Hopefully, you're able to give an answer to all of those.

Feel free to do the activity again.

and go back to the start of the activity.

Now, before I reveal the answers to you, I'm going

Ito replay some of the key words that Ioana used to describe the nouns.

At night, people turn them on because they give light.

A lamp is something you turn on to light up a room.

That is the answer.

People eat there. People put their food on this.

A place where people sit and eat is at a table.

That's the answer we're looking for.

This is the place where you sleep.

On it, there are sheets. There are pillows. There are blankets.

The place where you sleep is on a bed.

You open and close them and go from one room to the next.

Something you open and close to go in and out of a room is a door.

This room in the house has a sink.

It has a shower.

The room that has a sink and a shower is the bathroom.

You sit on this and people will watch TV or a movie.

A sofa or couch is somewhere you sit to watch TV.

I hope you enjoyed this activity, but now it gets better because it's your turn.

We're going to switch roles, and you are now

going to describe the nouns to Ioana.

She will then try to guess the nouns that you are describing.

Make sure to speak up, be creative, and most importantly have fun.

U.S. nuclear envoy Joseph Yun to arrive in Seoul on Tuesday for 4-day visit - Duration: 0:52.

The U.S. special representative for North Korea nuclear issues, Joseph Yun, is set to

arrive in Seoul later today.

During his four day stay, he will meet with his counterpart, Lee Do-hoon, to further discuss

the North Korea situation and the results of the recent summit between Presidents Moon

Jae-in and Donald Trump.

It will be the envoys' second meeting in as many months, after Lee was appointed to his

post in September.

The U.S. envoy will also be attending peace and non-proliferation forums in Seoul and

Jeju.

He said last month, that if North Korea does not carry out any missile tests or nuclear

activity for 60 days, then direct talks with Pyongyang should be restarted.

That 60-day marker is today, with the regime's last missile test coming on September 15th.

welcome back to my channel so today's video is a nail tutorial I do an owl

review or a nail tutorial every single Tuesday so you'll definitely want to

subscribe to my channel hit that notification valve so you don't miss any

videos and let's just going to get started so this week's tutorial is on

this really pretty Navy and copper glitter mani it was super super simple

I used nothing that cost over $2 and I think it turned out really really

gorgeous they're not really really pretty

I love you know glitter accent nails especially around this time of year to

me it seems really really festive and it just turned out really really nice so I

definitely think it turned out really really pretty

so yeah let's just go ahead and get started with the tutorial I think gonna

get started so I did use two coats of sinful colors and maybe I do it's just

really pretty Navy shade and it's really opaque with two coats just a nice even

layer you get that tip

I have this little container of glitter this is just craft glitter around the

Dollar Tree

and to gently tap the excess super-easy any pretty glitter Neos I'm just gonna

go ahead and do that with my other accent man

oops

typically we get like six different colors of glitter at the dollar store

it's really cheap and it just makes them really really pretty immunity really

really pretty really easy manicure it's really really stunning and if you wanted

you could you know do like little dots of topcoat do whatever kind of design

you want and definitely do that really nice glitter manicure I do like

kind of just that accent nails being it's really really cheap really really

easy and it gives a really really pretty effect so I'm just going to go ahead and

I'm just going to finish putting top coat on the rest of my nails and I'll be

right back to show you the finish okay everybody so I'm back and so this

is the finished product I did do a coat of top coat on the non glitter mani

nails what's really really great about this is like I just got done washing my

hands and the glitter will definitely stand up to hand-washing just you know

turned out really really pretty I love a nice glitter mani around this time of

year it's really really festive to me and I just think it turned out really

really nice so yeah if you are looking for a cheaper way to do with glitter

mani that does attacked a lot of impact I would definitely recommend going to

your local craft store or whatever like I said at Dollar Tree I got six

different shades of glitter for a dollar and you know it doesn't take very much

to do you know a couple of accent nails I just think that they turn out really

really nice you know obviously they're not completely cleaned up I personally

don't do that I wash my hands a lot so naturally the polish will just strip

away from the skin but I think it turned out really really pretty

I really like it so anyway you guys please let me know down below if you

How To Get A Rounder Butt / Bum - Duration: 2:26.

what up guys! It's Matt from Macro Lean and this video is primarily for the ladies!

Because i'm gonna be talking about how to build a better bum, a better booty, dat

ass... Cos come on girls you all know you want a better bum! A round a bum so the

guys are like whoa.... I mean not me obviously... I'm not the kind of guy who wants to

just sink my teeth into a perfect round peachy, yeah I mean obviously it's not me

so let's get on with the video shall we! First off to build a better bum you

need to be working your legs. If you're not working your legs what the hell are

you playing at? You know you should be doing squats, deadlifts, lunges but

you didn't watch this video to just find out that because you know that already. And if you

don't know that already, you just found something new out. But

those should be paramount, they should be mandatory in your workouts, in your leg

exercise routines. But there's a few more tips and tricks I've learned through

years of training a multitude of ladies, of females and these two tips can

help give you the extra round, extra firm

peachie rear. Dat bum! The first one is going to be a step up, a step up is a

kind of a variation of a lunge. Basically you're stepping up onto a step funnily

enough or a bench. This targets the glutes and the upper hamstrings. You can

do this using your bodyweight and when you're strong enough

I would then start to add weights. You can hold a kettlebell, you can hold

dumbbells by your side. You want to keep your core nice and tight, your back

straight and I aim for around ten to twelve reps per side. The step-up is a

great bum builder. The second of the booty building exercises is going to be

the reverse lunge. Again great for targeting the glutes the hamstrings. You

want to keep your core tight your back straight as always and I just find this

exercise is left out of a lot of programs. It helps build that bum it helps with

that firmness, that tightness that we all want. Obvs... so if you want to put in this

and the step-up you will be complementing building that firmer

round bum, but obviously guys to get lean you need to be addressing your energy

balance, your calories and your macronutrients. If you have your

nutrition dialed, in you're doing full body workouts and you're adding in

specific leg exercises to build that bum you will go that firm booty fo sho!

With less than 90 days to go until the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games,...

South Korea and countries around the world have pledged to ensure the Games are a peaceful

celebration of sport.

Given the heightened tensions on the Korean Peninsula, the so-called "Olympic Truce" comes

at a highly significant time.

Lee Ji-won has more.

The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution calling for the peaceful hosting of the 2018

PyeongChang Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Adopted by consensus on Monday, the resolution "Building a peaceful and better world through

sport and the Olympic Ideal" urges countries to "ensure the safe passage, access and participation

of athletes, officials and all other accredited persons taking part in the Olympic Winter

Games and Paralympic Winter Games".

(English) "Taking this opportunity, I would like to

assure you, once again, that we, the organizing committee, together with the Korean government

are committed to ensuring a safe and peaceful Olympic Games."

The "Olympic Truce", respected from seven days before the start of the Olympic Games

on February 9th, 2018,... and until seven days after the Paralympic Games end in mid-March,

also seeks to cease all conflicts during the sporting event.

It also urges countries to take the opportunity to foster and encourage concrete actions that

promote dialogue and reconciliation.

(English) "I firmly believe that PyeongChang 2018 Olympic

and Paralympic Winter Games will help spread the message of peace through one of the few

languages that has the power to unite people around the world, the graceful and universal

language of sport."

Though the Olympic Truce has been adopted every two years ahead of the summer and winter

Olympics since the early 1990s, this resolution comes at a significant time, given the heightened

tensions on the Korean Peninsula over North Korea's continued nuclear and missile provocations.

And with all 193 UN member states, including North Korea,... approving the resolution,

Lee Hee-beom, head of the organizing committee for the PyeongChang Games, said he hoped that

it will "lead to a chain reaction for the promotion of peace within the region and beyond"

as the first of three consecutive Olympic Games to be held in Northeast Asia.

The South Korean delegation, which includes Seoul's Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism,

Do Jong-hwan, and figure-skating gold medalist Kim Yuna, will join a number of promotional

activities in New York for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics through Tuesday.

Version based database migration with Liquibase - Duration: 10:47.

Hi,

I'm Thorben Janssen from thoughts-on-java.org and today, I want to talk about

version-based database migration with Liquibase.

Creating the database for your application

seems to be easy as long as you don't need to support multiple versions

or work in huge teams.

You just generate an SQL script from your database model

or in the worst case, export the required statements from your test database.

You can then execute it manually or use JPA to do that automatically.

This approach doesn't work as soon as you need to support multiple versions of your application.

And extracting the required changes from the test database

becomes a huge mess when the size of your team

and the number of changes increases.

You can avoid some of these problems when you create the database update script

while working on the next release,

and store them alongside your code in git

or whichever version control system you use.

Whenever someone gets the latest code changes,

he will also get the required database changes.

With the right tooling in place,

you will even be able to apply these changes automatically.

One tool that can help you with that is Liquibase.

Liquibase is an open source tool released under APL 2.0.

It provides you a set of tools to implement an automated,

version based database migration for your application.

Some of its benefits are the sequential execution of all required updates

to get to the most recent database version,

the automatic creation and execution of rollback operations for failed updates

and the database-independent definition of the update operations.

In this series of videos,

I will show you how to use all of these benefits in your application.

Let's start with the creation of your database

before I show you how to update it in the next video.

The database change log is an XML, JSON, YAML or SQL file

which describes all changes that need to be performed to update the database.

In most cases, you want to create 1 file for each release.

Each file consists of one or more change sets.

A changeSet describes a set of changes that Liquibase executes within one transaction.

You can add as many changes to a set as you like.

But to avoid any problems during a rollback,

you shouldn't define more than one logical change per set.

Each changeSet gets identified by the name of the author and an id.

Liquibase stores this information together with the name of the change log file

in the database changelog table

to keep track on the executed change sets.

Let's have a look at 3 changeSets that create a new database table,

a primary key,

and a foreign key constraint.

Liquibase allows you to do a lot more than that.

You can change existing tables,

define execution requirements,

provide rollback commands to handle errors

and load data.

But for now, let's focus on the creation of a new database.

I will show you the other features in one of the following videos.

Here you can see a changeSet that creates

the table author with the columns

id, firstname, lastname and version.

The createTable element has to define the name of the table you want to create.

On top of that, you can specify other attributes, like

the name of the database schema or the tablespace.

You also need to provide at least one column tag as a nested property.

In this example, I use

4 of these tags, to define the

4 database columns of the author table.

The attributes name and type are required to define a new column.

Liquibase also supports a set of additional attributes

which you can use to provide a default value,

specify the encoding or set a comment.

You can also use a constraints tag to define a primary key,

not null, unique, foreign key

or cascade constraint.

I use it in this example to create a not null constraint

for the id and version for the id and version columns.

As you can see, the definition of the changeSet is simple

and doesn't require any SQL.

As always, this can be a good

and a bad thing.

Liquibase will generate the SQL statements

for the database you want to use.

That allows you to create database-independent update scripts

but puts you also at the risk of executing unexpected statements.

You should therefore always test the generated SQL statements.

I will show you how to export

and run the SQL statements at the end of this video.

If you didn't define the primary key when you created the table,

you can add the constraint with an addPrimaryKey tag.

I use it here to add the primary key constraint

to the id column of the book table.

These two attributes are mandatory

and you can provide additional ones to provide the name of the constraint,

schema, catalog or tablespace.

And you can add a foreign key constraint

with an addForeignKeyConstraint tag.

You then need to provide the name of the constraint,

the baseColumnNames and baseTableName,

that define the column and table to which you want to add the constraint,

and the referencedColumnNames and referenceTableName,

that define the column and

table to which the foreign key points to.

OK, you now understand the basic tags you can use to

create the initial database for your application.

But don't worry, you don't need to write this file yourself

if you already have an existing database.

You might want to add Liquibase to an existing application

or you use a tool to model and export your table model.

In these situations, it's much easier to let Liquibase

generate the required statements.

You can do that by providing the connection information

and the generateChangeLog command to the Liquibase command line client.

Here you can see an example for my local PostgreSQL database.

I tell the Liquibase client to use PostgreSQL's JDBC driver

to connect to the recipes schema of my local database,

to generate a changeLog that creates an identical database

and to write it to the db.changelog-1.0.xml file

in the myFiles directory.

You can see the generated changeLog here.

As you can see, Liquibase used my current username as the author

and added " generated" as a postfix

and it also generated a prefix for the id.

If you already have a database,

generating the changeLog is a lot easier and faster than writing it yourself.

But as always, don't forget to review the generated changeSets

so that you can be sure that they meet your expectations.

Before you execute the changeLog,

you should always export and review the generated SQL statements.

Some database administrators also need the script for their internal documentation

or they plainly reject to perform any changes they didn't review themselves.

In all these situations,

you can use Liquibase's command line client to generate the required SQL statements

and write them to a file.

Here you can see example in which I tell Liquibase

to connect to my local PostgreSQL database,

determine the required updates

and generate the SQL statements.

After you've created and checked the changeLog yourself

or used the command line client to create it,

you can choose between multiple options to execute it.

I use the command line client in this video

but you can also use a maven plugin to create the database

as part of your build or deployment process

or you can use a Servlet, Spring or CDI Listener to automatically create

or update the database at application startup.

Based on the changeLog, Liquibase create the tables

and sequence in the test_liquibase schema.

And as you can see here,

Liquibase documented the execution of all changeSets

in the databasechangelog table.

It will use this information for future runs of the update process

to determine which changeSets need to be executed.

BTS is on a roll as the music video for their 2014 track Danger has just reached 100 million views on YouTube!.

Danger was released as the title track of their first studio album Dark & Wild and the music video for the song was released on August 19, 2014. The 100 million views milestone was achieved at around 4:55 p.m. KST on November 13.

This is BTSs ninth music video to reach the milestone, joining Dope, Fire, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Boy in Luv, Save Me, Not Today, Spring Day, and most recently, DNA.

Hello and welcome to today's lesson - Describing Nouns!

In this lesson, we are going to describe nouns

that you will find around the house.

This lesson will help you practice your listening and speaking skills.

These nouns are at a beginner level.

However, we encourage all learners to give it a try

because it's a great way to practice your speaking.

For this activity, Ioana is going to describe six different nouns to you.

You will have ten seconds to guess and say the answer.

Each of these nouns is something that you will find around the house.

Remember, this activity is to help you improve your listening and speaking skills.

This is why it's important that you speak.

Let's see an example before we start.

Ioana will describe a word to me, and I will guess the answer.

Here's the word.

Okay. Here we go.

This is something you sit down on.

It has four legs and a back.

You will find these around the table or at a desk.

Do you know what I'm talking about?

I think the noun you are describing is a chair.

Now that you know how the activity is done, let's begin.

Ioana will describe a noun to you, and you will try to guess that now.

Remember to say your answers out loud.

This room in the house has a sink

where you brush your teeth or wash your face or wash your hands.

It has a shower where you wash yourself.

This is a piece of furniture you find in the living room.

You sit on this and people will watch TV or a movie.

This is big enough for two or three people sit on it.

They're very comfortable.

Hopefully, you're able to give an answer to all of those.
