The lock I have for you today is a DOM, it´s cool!

It is a very nice lock

really it has a spectacular keyway

Here you can see it

with a lot of guards that stands out

and above all it is very very narrow, here at the top

when we compared it with Yale, for example

is not an easy lock to pick for me

I find it weird, and I struggled to get used to it

Balkan Food Review - Our first impressions trying Bosnian Food in Ljubljana, Slovenia - Duration: 14:44.

Alright guys.

So it is time for lunch.

We are still here in Ljubljana and today we've decided to have Balkan cuisine.

We found a restaurant called Sarajevo 84.

Apparently it specializes in Bosnian food and have we already mentioned that we're kicking

off our trip through the Balkans in about a week's time.

Hmmm.

Haha.

Now would be a good time to mention it.

It is a good way to announce it with Balkan food.

So I can't say I've ever had Balkan food before.

I don't really know what to expect but I've been like glancing over at other people's

plates and you know nearby tables and everything looks really good.

It looks like it is meat heavy.

Lots of bread.

So yeah, we've ordered I think like 5 different dishes and we'll see what arrives because

we didn't even know what the names meant.

We just kind of like pointed so it should be good.

Alright, so the wine is here and Sam is having the Rdeče Vino Blatina I believe.

Yeah.

Um, don't know anything about it I'm not going to pretend so let's just let's get right into

it.

It certainly smells good.

Oh.

How is it?

How would you describe this wine Mister wine connoisseur?

Well, the first thing that I should point out is that it has been chilled.

Oh, chilled red wine.

Which is unusual for red.

Yeah.

And that is has a very strong taste.

It is a dry wine but it has a it is just a very strong taste going down.

Oh, that will be interesting.

Yeah, and something that is fascinating is that we've come from a country in Slovakia

which was a beer drinking country.

Yeah.

To Slovenia which obviously uh is a wine drinking country because if you look here the wine

is considerably cheaper than beer.

And that was the exact opposite in Slovakia.

Alright, so cheers to that.

Cheers to a wine drinking country.

Gotta like that.

Okay, so this one I'm really excited for this is the one dish I really wanted to try.

It is basically beans and sausages served in a ceramic bowl.

It looks amazing.

I'm going to try it and pronounce the name here.

Let's see how it goes.

I believe it is prebranec s sudžukico.

Either way it is beans and sausage.

Please help us out guys.

We're clearly I need cutlery for this sausage.

We clearly are not language skills.

Our local language skills leave a lot to be deserved.

Look at that crispy sausage and I think we need some beans.

That is a nice like spicy flavorful sausage.

Beans it is almost like it has been stewing so everything is like super soft and creamy

and mushy.

It is just like I can't get over how thick the beans and sauce is.

It is almost stewy.

It is yeah that is one of the thickest bean sauces I've had in a very long time.

That is just so good.

It is very rich and flavorful.

We are loving Balkan cuisine.

And we've only tried one dish.

We definitely ordered way too much as per usual.

We believe this next one may be called čevapčiči or something similar.

It is basically grilled meat rolls in a flatbread.

Alright, time to take a bite of this and I like to eat with my hands so haha.

I'm probably not supposed to do it like this but oh well.

Anyways, yeah you can see that the sausage, the meat is stuffed right inside and yeah

the bread is by holding it in my hand I can tell that it is very spongy.

So these should be interesting.

I'll have a nice big bite.

Initially it reminds me of some of the kind of sausages that I had when we were in Istanbul,

Turkey.

I think it is called kofte or something like that.

It is kind of like minced meat but it had like shaped sausage.

It reminds me a lot of that.

And the bread is really good.

It is the perfect kind of spongy bread to go with the meat.

Yeah, really juicy, really flavorful.

It is delicious.

Yeah, I think my tip would be to sprinkle some more onions inside because the onions

give it even more juiciness.

Okay, in I go.

I'm going to use some cutlery here.

Haha.

Oh.

I'm sure only one of us is eating it the right way.

So it is a bit of a nice contrast happening there.

It is nice.

It is fairly juicy.

It just sops up the you know the grease from the sausages.

We've got ourselves some roasted red peppers and I believe this is called pečena paprika

maybe.

Let's hope I got that right.

And yeah, it looks like it has got some chunks of garlic there.

That looks really good.

That is really nicely presented I have to say.

Oh, that is garlic-y goodness my gosh.

That is good stuff.

We will have no shortage of bread to sop it up.

And this bread is exactly the same as the one that is used for the sausages.

Except it was a complimentary basket.

I'm going to have to cut off a piece though.

Okay there we go.

So we got a nice big bite with bread to go with it.

Mmmm.

That is a lot more spicy than I was expecting.

Delayed onset with that spice.

And I grabbed an enormous piece of garlic so we're going to be having garlic wars all

day.

I can already tell that my breath is really garlic-y already.

Wow.

But it is good.

Nice and juicy.

Um but yeah this is definitely something that I think goes really nicely with bread.

I would recommend trying it with bread.

I'm not sure if that is how you're supposed to eat it but that is how I would eat it.

And this right here would be the Bosanske Pide which means which is the Bosnian pide.

The Bosnian bread.

And we ordered the one with cheese.

Oh yeah.

And this is very different from the Turkish one we've tried because the Turkish one is

shaped more actually it is shaped more like the serving plate.

Yeah.

Whereas this one is very much round.

Yeah.

.And these are also wow they're thick.

Like look at this.

Oh my gosh.

Alright, I'm just going to take a massive bite so hopefully we'll get some cheese.

Oh cool.

Mmmm.

That is really nice.

It is very um very oily and flaky on the outside.

You bite in and you get like tonnes of the cheese.

Oh.

And you can't tell by from me holding it but it is heavy in the hands.

Maybe let's keep it still so we can see the cheese.

True.

It is very dense.

Wow, look at that.

So this is um definitely some high calorie food.

We're going to need to do a lot of walking around to burn off these calories this afternoon.

Alright, like Sam was saying.

We got the cheese one but you can actually order different fillings.

On the menu they had potato, meat and also spinach.

I think spinach would also be pretty good but let's go with the cheese one right now.

I'd actually like to try them all.

That could be like a whole video just a taste test of the different ones.

It is very flaky.

It is like somewhere between bread and dough.

Yeah.

It is an interesting texture.

It kind of reminds me of something we were eating in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia with

these little like steamed spirals.

Like stuffed with potato or vegetables.

But yeah this is good.

Greasy fingers though.

Super greasy fingers.

We've been having to wipe our hands after eating it.

And to wash that all down some wine.

I still find it so strange to have chilled red wine.

And actually the other day when we were still in Slovakia someone served me white wine and

it wasn't chilled and I was like what is this?

I'm getting a bit snobby with wines these days.

But yeah, this food has been amazing.

Everything has been so tasty.

No complaints.

Now we just have to keep working on this because the portions were so big and we have so much

food still.

I also love having walnut bits.

I like the whipped cream because I feel like I don't know that is going to do something

Anyways, yeah fantastic meal and uh we ordered everything we ordered was good but we did

order too much.

We could have used a third person to help us out.

Alright, time for price point.

And before I even talk about the price it is really cool that they gave us spearmint

gum.

Very timely with our garlic breath.

Anyways, it came to 23 Euros just slightly over 23 Euros.

And that included five food items and two drinks so 7 things in total.

I think that was like outstanding value.

Yeah, I would agree.

It was really good food, really good quality.

Also, we're really full so that is a sign of a good meal.

We'd recommend coming here for sure.

And before I even talk about the price it is really cool that they gave us spearmint

Anyways, it came to 23 Euros just slightly over 23 Euros.

And that included five food items and two drinks so 7 things in total.

I think that was like outstanding value.

Yeah, I would agree.

It was really good food, really good quality.

Also, we're really full so that is a sign of a good meal.

7 DICAS SOBRE O MERCADO DE TRABALHO DA ARQUEOLOGIA - Duration: 8:10.

Hello! I am Cristiane Amarante, an archeologist,

and our subject today is: 7 tips

on the job market.

When I say that I'm an archaeologist, people

often ask me: So, where do

you work? Where can archeologists

work here in Brazil? What is

the job market for us?

Hmmm, here are the tips. The first tip:

the biggest job market is archeology

companies, which is called

contract archeology.

Why does it has that name? Because

contract archeology is linked to environmental

licensing. All major developments –

the construction of a highway,

the construction of a hydroelectric plant,

the construction of a solar power park,

a port extension, or even

a port that is going to be deployed in some area, all of that

need archaeological work

before the venture is implemented, before it

starts to run and starts to be built.

Why? Because there you

might have an archaeological site. And it has,

a lot! It happens a lot!

This is the largest job

market in Brazil. It is believed that

more than 95% of

archeologists in Brazil work

with contract archeology. So, this is

tip number 1. Now we go to

tip number 2. Tip number 2

is the Academy. What is the Academy? It's

the university. They are teachers

who teach in universities, in undergraduate

courses (faculties)

and masters and doctorates of Archeology.

So people study, have to have a degree,

at least a master's degree to teach at a public university;

in the private ones today there is also this

requirement, and preferably

have a doctorate too, for your CV to be better

and for you to have a better experience as a

researcher. After all,

the person in addition to teaching, she will

continue to do research, and will

teach students, young men and women,

to be archaeologists. So

the other job market that exists is the Academy.

People often talk more about these

two job markets. But that's not all that

archaeologists are surviving of.

There are a few smaller branches

which also offer jobs

for people to practice

the profession of archaeologists.

The third tip is: archeology museums.

Well, it should be obvious to anyone

and any public or private institution

that maintains a museum of archeology

to have archaeologists working on their

technical reserves, continuing

research projects, and

taking care of the collections that go to

these museums. After all, they are archeology

museums. Unfortunately, not every

archeology museum in Brazil has an

archaeologist there to look after the collection.

However, there are some of them who have,

yes, this vacancy, who make an entry test

when they are public, or in the case of the private ones,

hire archaeologists to work in

these museums. Some of them

are linked to the University; then, in this

case, those who teach at the University

end up working in the museum. Fourth tip:

public agencies. There is

IPHAN, which is the National

Historical and Artistic Heritage

Institute. IPHAN

has at least one

office in each state. In these

state offices there are

also vacancies for archaeologists.

What does an IPHAN archaeologist do? He

oversees the

archeology surveys that are developed

in the states. So, both

the research developed by archeology

companies and the research developed

by the people connected to the Academy,

to the universities.

Does it end there? No. There are, besides IPHAN,

public organisations that are also state

and municipal. But these

very rarely have archaeologists.

The rule that exists for the IPHAN

of inspection

should also exist for these corresponding

agencies in the states and municipalities.

But unfortunately this still doesn't happen;

but we, who are from the field, can fight to

make it compulsory. After all,

two, three, four archaeologists for

a whole state are too little

to oversee everything. If there were other archaeologists

closer, the supervision

of this work would be better. Although

IPHAN is a serious agency that

pays close attention to everything that is happening – this oversight

is very rigid – the more people

who are performing that work, the better

it would be. In addition to this job market, what

other exists? A small one

in Brazil, but that is important,

which are the foundations, associations,

institutes and NGOs (Non-Governmental

Organizations). When I think about it, I see three

examples in my mind that are great: one is

FUMDHAM, which is the American Man Foundation in

Piauí, linked to Serra da Capivara, which was organized by

Niède Guidon;

another, which is the IAB, the Brazilian Institute of

Archeology, which is also well-known

in Rio de Janeiro, and another

that is the Kariri Man Foundation,

which is located in Ceará; they have diverse

sites of pottery, of rock painting,

have a very interesting work. So these three

examples come to mind;

but they are not the only ones in Brazil.

And who is still in the training phase? There goes

my sixth tip, which is the

internships and volunteering. So in any of

these organisations that I've quoted,

these institutions I've quoted, you may be

a trainee or volunteer

preparing to become an archaeologist in the future.

So that is the sixth tip.

And what is my seventh tip? The seventh tip

is that you, if you have an entrepreneurial spirit,

you can create your own job. How?

Several Archeology students

there at the University, or postgraduate,

are already organizing their archeology companies;

it's an option. Or you

can organize your Institute,

your Non-Governmental Organization, your

Foundation, your Association linked to

some archaeological site or a region that

you want to preserve very much, have an interest

in it, but there's no institution that

researches this site. So, if you

have an entrepreneurial spirit, you can create your own

job. Of course, everything I've mentioned

can grow a lot, but

it's up to you, me, the other people

who are studying

and doing archeology in Brazil.

Balkan Food Review - Our first impressions trying Bosnian Food in Ljubljana, Slovenia - Duration: 14:44.

Alright guys.

So it is time for lunch.

We are still here in Ljubljana and today we've decided to have Balkan cuisine.

We found a restaurant called Sarajevo 84.

Apparently it specializes in Bosnian food and have we already mentioned that we're kicking

off our trip through the Balkans in about a week's time.

Hmmm.

Haha.

Now would be a good time to mention it.

It is a good way to announce it with Balkan food.

So I can't say I've ever had Balkan food before.

I don't really know what to expect but I've been like glancing over at other people's

plates and you know nearby tables and everything looks really good.

It looks like it is meat heavy.

Lots of bread.

So yeah, we've ordered I think like 5 different dishes and we'll see what arrives because

we didn't even know what the names meant.

We just kind of like pointed so it should be good.

Alright, so the wine is here and Sam is having the Rdeče Vino Blatina I believe.

Yeah.

Um, don't know anything about it I'm not going to pretend so let's just let's get right into

it.

It certainly smells good.

How is it?

How would you describe this wine Mister wine connoisseur?

Well, the first thing that I should point out is that it has been chilled.

Oh, chilled red wine.

Which is unusual for red.

Yeah.

And that is has a very strong taste.

It is a dry wine but it has a it is just a very strong taste going down.

Oh, that will be interesting.

Yeah, and something that is fascinating is that we've come from a country in Slovakia

which was a beer drinking country.

Yeah.

To Slovenia which obviously uh is a wine drinking country because if you look here the wine

is considerably cheaper than beer.

And that was the exact opposite in Slovakia.

Okay, so this one I'm really excited for this is the one dish I really wanted to try.

It is basically beans and sausages served in a ceramic bowl.

It looks amazing.

I'm going to try it and pronounce the name here.

Either way it is beans and sausage.

Anyways, yeah you can see that the sausage, the meat is stuffed right inside and yeah

the bread is by holding it in my hand I can tell that it is very spongy.

So these should be interesting.

Initially it reminds me of some of the kind of sausages that I had when we were in Istanbul,

And the bread is really good.

It is the perfect kind of spongy bread to go with the meat.

Yeah, really juicy, really flavorful.

Yeah, I think my tip would be to sprinkle some more onions inside because the onions

give it even more juiciness.

Um but yeah this is definitely something that I think goes really nicely with bread.

I would recommend trying it with bread.

I'm not sure if that is how you're supposed to eat it but that is how I would eat it.

And this right here would be the Bosanske Pide which means which is the Bosnian pide.

And we ordered the one with cheese.

Oh yeah.

And this is very different from the Turkish one we've tried because the Turkish one is

shaped more actually it is shaped more like the serving plate.

Whereas this one is very much round.

Yeah.

.And these are also wow they're thick.

Like look at this.

Oh my gosh.

Alright, I'm just going to take a massive bite so hopefully we'll get some cheese.

Oh cool.

Mmmm.

That is really nice.

It is very um very oily and flaky on the outside.

You bite in and you get like tonnes of the cheese.

Oh.

And you can't tell by from me holding it but it is heavy in the hands.

Maybe let's keep it still so we can see the cheese.

It is very dense.

Wow, look at that.

So this is um definitely some high calorie food.

We're going to need to do a lot of walking around to burn off these calories this afternoon.

Alright, like Sam was saying.

We got the cheese one but you can actually order different fillings.

On the menu they had potato, meat and also spinach.

I think spinach would also be pretty good but let's go with the cheese one right now.

I'd actually like to try them all.

That could be like a whole video just a taste test of the different ones.

It is very flaky.

It is like somewhere between bread and dough.

Yeah.

It is an interesting texture.

It kind of reminds me of something we were eating in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia with

these little like steamed spirals.

Like stuffed with potato or vegetables.

Super greasy fingers.

We've been having to wipe our hands after eating it.

And to wash that all down some wine.

I still find it so strange to have chilled red wine.

And actually the other day when we were still in Slovakia someone served me white wine and

it wasn't chilled and I was like what is this?

Warm white wine.

Hahaha.

I'm getting a bit snobby with wines these days.

But yeah, this food has been amazing.

Everything has been so tasty.

No complaints.

Now we just have to keep working on this because the portions were so big and we have so much

food still.

So it is basically a cored apple that has been stuffed with nuts, some whipped cream

on top.

Anyways, yeah fantastic meal and uh we ordered everything we ordered was good but we did

order too much.

We could have used a third person to help us out.

Alright, time for price point.

And before I even talk about the price it is really cool that they gave us spearmint

gum.

Very timely with our garlic breath.

Anyways, it came to 23 Euros just slightly over 23 Euros.

And that included five food items and two drinks so 7 things in total.

I think that was like outstanding value.

Yeah, I would agree.

It was really good food, really good quality.

Also, we're really full so that is a sign of a good meal.

We'd recommend coming here for sure.
