Bubsy's New Game is Good?! Holy S**t! (The Woolies Strike Back PS4 Review) - Duration: 6:37.
Hello, my friends, and welcome to a special Cygnus Destroyer video.
As you're probably already aware, Bubsy the Bobcat has returned to the gaming scene
for the first time in over twenty years.
I was beyond excited upon hearing this announcement & I anxiously awaited the day that I could
pick up a copy, but little did I realize that I would actually be supplied a download code
from the publishers themselves!
Yes, Accolade has given this un-apologetically genuine Bubsy fan the honor of reviewing their
latest project & I can't thank them enough or express how much that means to me, but
rest assured that this will not affect my judgment.
For better or worse, whether praised in the comments or bombarded with dislikes, I've
always been completely honest with you guys and this isn't going to be an exception to the rule.
The opinions I'm about to share would be the same even if I had paid the full retail
price, so with that out of the way, let's take a closer look at the highly anticipated
Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back for the PC & PS4.
The current installment in the long dead franchise of the 16-bit era rival to Sonic the Hedgehog
& Mario was brought to life by the team at Black Forest Games on the fittingly appropriate
date of Halloween 2017.
The Woolies Strike Back starts simply enough with a silent prologue that starkly contrasts
from the goofy, lighthearted nature of its predecessors, but the traditional tone quickly
kicks into gear on the title screen as our hero spouts his infamous catchphrase.
The voice samples have been one of the defining traits of the series from the start and they've
played an essential role in enhancing the charm for fans, but critics have understandably
found them to be a constant source of mind-numbing annoyance.
Black Forest Games took note of this and implemented a verbosity meter in the options menu for
the purpose of selecting how many one-liners the players are subjected to, with Silent
Bobcat putting a permanent mute on the polarizing protagonist and Bubsy, well...
you get the picture.
I naturally raised the slider to eleven to get the full experience and the spoken audio
admittedly became tedious from the sheer repetition over the course of my playthrough, but I give
the voice actor credit for turning in a performance that pays tribute to the source material & ups
the bar for humor from the earlier entries.
In regards to the remainder of the presentation, Black Forest decided to differentiate from
other revival platformers by opting out of the retro aesthetic in favor of a more modern
style a la Mighty No. 9, albeit without the glaring technical flaws.
On the PS4 version, the framerate runs at a steady 60fps without any observable lag
and the controls are the smoothest yet in a Bubsy title.
Pressing X or Triangle makes the notorious Accolade mascot jump or glide, respectively,
while Circle or Square sends him pouncing upon unsuspecting prey in the form of a spiraling
corkscrew maneuver that tears through obstructions with reckless abandon.
Unfortunately, the pounce suffers from a serious lack of control, which ultimately makes it
harder to hit certain foes along the path.
However, it's still an effective killing machine when properly mastered & it's especially
helpful when it comes to the boss battles, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
The bobcat's journey to reclaim his stolen treasure takes him across a diverse range
of locations such as forests, the desert, & the alien invaders' home turf.
In keeping with the tried & true archetypes established by the pioneers of the sidescrolling
genre, the aforementioned areas on the overworld map are broken down into sub-stages that follow
the classic point A to B linear layout, comprised of a blend of recycled & original elements
including the temporary shield power-ups, the ability to climb walls & the removal of
the flawed fall damage mechanic.
There are a number of bonus objectives based around collecting keys & t-shirts that flesh
out the simple premise, but these are entirely optional, netting only the customary bragging
rights & a sweet dip into a massive yarn filled vault for fulfilling them.
The bosses that appear after clearing a particular segment follow the same general structure,
but small tweaks are implemented to the formula that freshen this familiar trope.
The odds are heavily stacked against the snarky star of the show in that his one hit point
pails in comparison to the large health bars of these behemoth bosses, but thankfully Black
Forest installed a checkpoint system that kept track of the progress made between deaths,
so I was able to persevere after learning the patterns & I'd concluded my business
with the evil alien race in less than two & a half hours.
Yes, you heard me right.
Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back can be finished in less time than it takes to watch one of
the Lord of the Rings movies.
In fact, I ran through the majority of the adventure again so that I could unlock the
trophy for completing the levels without dying & my capture session was still wrapped up
within the span of an evening.
At a cost of $30 for the physical disc, it's hard to justify the insufficient amount of
content & I can totally understand why most consumers would be turned off by the hefty
price tag, but I would have gladly dropped my dough down in a heartbeat because this
is without a doubt the best Bubsy to date.
The graphics are perfect for this type of platformer, the controls are mostly tight,
the soundtrack is fantastic & the hilarious dialogue is knocked out of the park by the
stellar lead voice actor.
Accolade's newest endeavor may not soar to the meteoric heights of the magnificent
& incomparable Shovel Knight, but it did exceed my expectations & I would recommend it to
old school sidescrolling junkies with eccentric tastes.
Anyway, now that the bobcat's reputation has been redeemed, I've got to prepare for
my Sonic Forces review.
Be sure to come back for that, but until then, this is Matt a.k.a. Cygnus Destroyer signing out!

Mark Baranov Who you really are - Duration: 1:20.
Let me take you on a journey, exercise your right to submit and open yourself for yourself.
What I have learned is that most of us, and I was no different,
Don't know how to phrase the important questions in our lives.
Most of us, don't know what we want, let alone what we need.
We stumble through life without appreciating its magnificence and without asking the
Why - What & Who!
Why am I here?
What brings me joy?
Who's on first and What's on second?
The answers to these questions are different for each of us and ultimately not as important as the actual questions themselves.
You see, it's in the process of questioning yourself and validating each answer with your life experiences
That each of us is able to mould who we Are from the lump of clay that we were.
Invest the time each day to learn Who you Really Are.

I will confess something I am really ashamed of.
Honestly, I feel obliged to confessing it in the light of today's Gospel. I just cannot think of anything elser than this topic.
What is it about? It is about self-interest.
Yes. Self-interest is my weakness. Sometimes I have some business to do with other people.
I text them, call them, I get in touch. I seem to care, be interested how they are doing - It is nice to talk to you.
But deep down inside, I only want to get done with my business.
This is cancer of the soul and cancer of the relationship.
I am afraid most people feel it,
they are able to detect that I turn to them to do some business.
They feel this is not a genuine wish of spending time together but a blunt transaction.
Today Jesus warns us against it. Take a look at your conscience.
Have a look at how you communicate with your friends, especially ones whom you do not see regularly.
See if your soul is not infected with self-interest.

Loops and parseInt in JavaScript. Codingame: The Descent - Solved - Duration: 4:19.
Programming shouldn't be boring.
Let's solve a Codingame's puzzle today.
[Music playing]
Hi!
Let's play and solve a puzzle titled "The Descent "by Codingame.
I'm Anatol and you are watching the Good Parts of the FrontEnd development.
[Music playing]
The story tells: The Enterprise ship is in danger: drawn towards the surface of an unknown
planet, it is at risk of crashing against towering mountains.
Help Kirk and Spock destroy the mountains...
Save the Enterprise!
This puzzle teaches you the concept of loops and the ways of retrieving the maximum value
from a list of integers.
To win this game I need to destroy all the mountains starting from the highest one.
I need to print a mountain's position which might be from 0 to 7.
Let's keep the solution as simple as possible.
I need a loop.
During the iteration I store the position of the highest mountain and print it.
Then repeat the operation.
I use an unary plus operator as a shorthand for parseInt operator.
Let's dive in the code.
[Music playing]
Start the game to see how it works.
I've lost.
Ok.
Set all initial variables to zero In each cycle steps from 0 to 8 represent
the ship's flight Read the mountain's height and compare it
to the max value After the finishing of the cycle print the
position of the highest mountain
Let's try.
It works!
Now you can run this program against all the tests
That's pretty easy, isn't it?
Next time let's have a look at Power of Thor and conditions in JavaScript.

12 Struggles Only an Outgoing Introvert Would Understand - Duration: 6:44.
12 Struggles Only an Outgoing Introvert Would Understand
How can there be such a thing as an outgoing introvert?
That's absurd, right?
Introversion and extroversion are terms popularized by Carl Jung to describe the different ways
in which people direct their attention.
Introverted people focus their attention inward toward internal stimuli, whereas extroverted
people are more focused on the outer world and its stimuli.
Extroversion and introversion are on opposite ends of a continuum, not separate personality
categories.
People can belong right in the middle of this continuum or anywhere along it.
For this reason, you can't simply say that everyone fits into the category of extrovert
or introvert exclusively.
Many people have traits that fall into both the introverted and extroverted side of the
spectrum.
Some people have both characteristics in almost equal measure, so you could have someone who
is 55% introverted and 45% extroverted.
This would make someone an extroverted introvert or an outgoing introvert.
Ambivert is can also be used to describe people who fall in the middle, but the term extroverted
introvert shows where they fall, as in an introvert with strong extroverted
tendencies.
In this video, I'm going to share with you 12 struggles only an outgoing introvert will
understand.
If you find this information is helpful to you,
make sure to like this video and subscribe to this channel, so you won't miss any of
our interesting updates in the future!
1.
Making plans with someone to go out and regretting it when the time comes
… Or the other way around…
When you're an outgoing introvert, you might flip flop between introverted moods and extroverted
moods, which can be a nightmare when making plans
because there's simply no guarantee of how you'll feel on the big night.
2.
Needing both time to reflect and someone to talk to about your ideas
As an outgoing introvert, you still spend a lot of time inside your own head, so you
might react poorly to people when they want to engage in some idle chit-chat.
Later, when you want to bounce your reflections off them, you may regret being so abrupt earlier.
3.
People getting confused by your behavior
When people meet you in extroverted mode, it can be a bit of a shock when you turn on
them.
From their point of view, the person who seemed normal and talkative the night before has
suddenly disappeared without a trace.
It's nothing personal, you just can't bring yourself to communicate with anyone
when you go back into introvert mode, and others may not understand that.
4.
Being bad at responding and kicking yourself when it backfires on you
When a text, email, or phone call comes in during downtime, it is almost impossible to
respond.
It seems like the words won't form correctly, and anything you say is flat and even sounds
rude.
You avoid responding, only to find that the next time you do want to go out, the other
person doesn't contact you or respond.
The other person is completely justified too, and you know it.
5.
Going out and then spending two days alone not talking to anyone
As an outgoing introvert, you can be the life and soul of the party when you want to be.
Partying is something you do more rarely than some others, so you really like to go for
it.
But afterwards, you're so depleted from being in that outgoing state.
Even though you do it very well, it still takes a lot more energy and effort than it
seems to for others.
While they're meeting up again for lunch the next day, you'll spend the rest of the
weekend in hiding.
6.
It's hard to get you out but you have a great time when you go
Your really good friends know how to deal with you.
They let you know that you're going out on a certain day way in advance,
and they remind you every time they see you so that you don't 'forget' or find a
way to be busy that day.
Your friends know that it's a pain in the neck to get you out, but if they use the right
strategy and are persistent enough, the effort will be compensated by how fun
you are when you're out.
7.
Being chatty to be personable but needing cave time afterward
You're not one of these introverts who is like a deer caught in the headlights every
time anyone wants to have a conversation with you.
You're able to meet the demands of talking to people you don't know and networking
in large groups, even if it goes against the grain.
Keeping up this act of being perfectly comfortable when you're in fact very tense really takes
it out of you though, and you have to retreat to recharge afterwards.
8.
Being able to hold conversations in groups but much preferring one-on-one
As an outgoing introvert, you can hold your own in group conversations and you can assert
yourself quite comfortably, especially when the conversations get more
abstract, and where the insight your introverted reflective moments afford you fits nicely.
However, you take real pleasure in the depth of interaction that you can only achieve in
private conversation with a single individual.
9.
Getting angry at yourself for backing out of plans
Being an outgoing introvert, you're aware of the importance of having people to socialize
with when the mood takes you.
Consequently, when you back out of plans, you feel guilty and angry at yourself for
not feeling up to the task.
10.
Having inner battles over your introversion
It's a never-ending battle between your extroverted side (and the pressure from society
to be outgoing) and your introversion.
You can't understand why you can't rely on yourself to be up for social engagements
all the time.
11.
Having very few friends but plenty of acquaintances
Your real friends are a tiny minority of the people you know.
There are only very few people you really feel safe to share your inner world with.
12.
Seeing anyone a few times means you really like them
There are only a few people who can easily get repeat socializing dates with you, anyone
who belongs to that category is someone you really feel an affinity for.
Well, that's the 12 struggles only an outgoing introvert will understand.
Really cool information isn't it?

Adobe Premier Pro VS Adobe After Effects | Difference and Which One You Should Learn First - Duration: 3:08.
The question is very simple. What is the main difference between
Adobe premier pro and Adobe After Effects?
When should I use which one? This is your host James Prince
and welcome tho JP STREAM.
Before Jumping to the answer first we have to know two terms
One is video editing and another is compositing. This will clarify our most of the confusions.
This will clarify our most of the confusions.
Video editing is the manipulation and arrangement of video shots.
On the other hand Video compositing is the combining of visual elements
from separate sources into a single video,
often to create a illusion that all those parts are from a same scene.
Now we can talk about Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects.
Adobe Premier Pro is a video editing application
and Adobe After effects is a video compositing application
In adobe premier pro we basically trim different clips
then put them in a timeline sequentially, add
sound effects or narrative to the video.
But in After Effects we do visual effects
motion graphics and compositing like
putting a subject in a 3d environment.
Yeah! After Effects can edit video footage in much
the same way as Premiere, it is designed specifically to
work with video layering, compositing, effects and animation.
Premiere can also do
these things but After Effects has a slightly different
workflow that makes them easier.
also tends to have better quality effects in terms of compositing
After Effects is better at working with shorter timelines
and high-demand effects.
Premiere Pro is better at working with general editing projects,
especially long or complex edits.
If you want to edit an one hour long movie in after
effects, It will be a nightmare
On the other hand if you want to do VFX in premier,
it is impossible to get a perfect result but in after effect
this will be so much easier.
What should you learn first? Premier pro or after effects?
I will suggest, Learn Premier Pro first and
after a certen time when you will feel comfortable with Premier Pro
then add After Effects on your workflow.
Using this two application together will give you the best possible result!
Thanks for watching the video.

Good evening, Rick.
Rick: Okay.
So, I've come over here because I've heard all about the Greece disaster and the opportunities
in buying property in Greece.
So, what do you think they are?
I mean, big picture, everybody has heard about "Greece has dragged the EU down" and "Greece
is bad because Greece has done this and Greece has done this."
Now, I've been here long enough to see a totally different position.
And I have to say, I've seen absolute fantastic opportunity in property.
What do you think the opportunity is in property right now?
Chris: Rick, it's different me saying anything.
You've been here for a full week and you see that the city is completely different to what
people might think or what the media are conveying out to...internationally.
So, the opportunity in property is things are...is precisely in the fact that things
are at the rock bottom at the moment, property is at the rock bottom, people are unable to
buy, no bank loans, property taxes introduced very recently.
Rick: But you know, that's really quite funny.
Let me stop you there for two seconds.
First of all, when I had a guy the other day that [inaudible 00:01:43], right?
We met that guy at his property, and he actually said about a stage which is exciting, which
is the cost of rebuild is now more expensive than the purchase price.
We can actually buy the properties now in Greece for less money than what it would cost
to build the property.
That's super exciting.
And I love the fact that you guys brought up property tax, which is great, because...just
for the benefit, everybody, Greece didn't have a property tax, right?
And you know how we all pay different types of taxes in different countries.
I mean, the U.S., you pay some, like, city tax and school tax, in Australia you pay land
tax and every country has got tax, right?
Okay, hang on, you got to love this, right?
Because it just introduced a property tax in Greece, and when you guys hear how much
it is, and what I love about the fact, as Chris tells, as soon as you introduced it,
everybody said, "We're gonna dump our properties, sell our properties," because they've never
actually had a property tax before [inaudible 00:02:34]
Chris: There was no property tax whatsoever, and now there has been property tax introduced,
are you guys ready?
Is six cents for every thousand euros.
Rick: Okay, six cents for every thousand.
So if I've got a hundred thousand-euro property, what's my property per you?
Chris: Yeah, it's gonna be 600.
Rick: 600 bucks a year?
Chris: Yeah.
Rick: 50 bucks a month?
You guys have got a property tax of 50 bucks a month...
Chris: Well, a little...we do it differently.
Rick: It's just really quite funny, because it is actually peanuts, you realize that?
So it's absolutely peanuts, and of course somebody's going, "Oh my god, we've got property
tax of..."
I mean, I recall the other day just, "I've got property tax of 400 a year, I'm gonna
sell my property and lose €500,000 or whatever, to avoid paying the 400 a year."
I mean, it's great that you guys are so upset you've never had it before, everybody is,
like, reacting.
Actually, while I'm thinking about, I think the greatest opportunity I've seen in Greece,
everybody, is because what Greek people have never seen before, you started auctions a
couple of days ago?
Chris: Yeah, e-auctions on the 27th of June.
Rick: Yeah.
I mean, you never had auctions, now all of a sudden, guys, this is exciting, right?
The government is dumping all this property with auctions, but the Greeks won't buy it
because they don't trust auctions, they've never seen them before, right?
So, mate, the opportunity here, I just reckon, is just drooling.
I mean, you got...people go, "I've now got a property tax on my property of 600 a year
which I never have to have, so I better dump my property."
Now you got so many properties for sale, so many properties for sale.
Did you say to me that 52.8%, or was it 58.2% of all the property mortgages are in debt
or not being paid?
Chris: Okay, we've got 52.8% non-performing loans all together.
Rick: Yeah, I understand.
You have all the mortgages, pay mortgages, all sorts of short-term debt, retail debt,
52.8% isn't being paid, and I think what the most exciting thing was to come over here
and create a system, like drag all the solicitors in a room and create a system where you can
actually just pick up and assume all those unpaid debts from people who no longer wanna
pay them.
Chris: Yeah.
Rick: Oh man, is that exciting or what?
Chris: It's really exciting.
And what happens also is that people with portfolios end up paying lots in property
taxes.
But as I said, they were used differently.
Anyway, the habits have changed completely and people want to get rid of the properties.
Rick: Yeah now, it's just 85% of great people traditionally own a home.
Chris: Precisely, yes.
Rick: Now, it's is interesting, guys, because you have people in Germany is like 25% or
especially in, like, Holland, you know?
Some countries have a low range.
Australia's about 68%, and here you got a 85% home ownership rate.
So, when this whole thing collapsed, compared to where property prices were, what percentage
do you feel that the property prices have dropped from where they were to where they
are now?
Chris: Okay, we've got three tiers, we've got the grade A properties where they experienced
a drop by 30% in the grade A areas, then you've got the grade B areas where the properties
are now half price, 50%, and obviously you've got other areas where the prices have dropped
by 60% or 70%.
Rick: It's funny how you say we've got like three tiers.
[inaudible 00:05:59] wait, you got three tiers.
But guys, can I just tell you from experience, don't jump in on this stuff that's dropped
70%, because what you have in mind is the garbage property.
We have looked at some of that today, didn't we?
I mean, we even went to vandalize some buildings and we couldn't because they're already vandalized.
I mean, we couldn't find a non-graffitied building, I couldn't even put my initials
out there.
So, they're the properties we don't buy because they have dropped 70%, but it's garbage stuff.
And I learned this years ago, Doug [SP], [inaudible 00:06:29] there in Dallas 25 years ago, 27
years ago.
But they always say that the A grade, the Rolls Royce stuff, that fruit at the top of
the tree.
Not that it's dropped 30%, but the way that we can buy this is so exciting, we just pick
up the loans.
Chris: Absolutely, this is where the opportunity is.
We all know by now that the opportunity is on the terms you buy property.
The price is one thing, is the same for everybody, let's say, but the terms you can acquire property
or take control over the property is what really makes the opportunity here.
Rick: Yeah, because it's funny, some people go, you buy in price, right?
Now, I've had a look at what we could buy for €5 or €7, and I mean, it's cheap,
but you wouldn't wanna live there without a gun.
Or we bought another property for like €80,000, I think we could end up having like €250
per month for like 15 years or something, and rent it for €500 a month.
So it's like...you look at properties like that, which is better quality.
So, it's how you buy it and the way in which you pay for it, rather than the price.
What do you think is the hardest thing for people who are outsiders to get their head
around buying in Greece?
Or get involved in Greece?
Chris: First of all, it's the impression, the picture the people abroad have about Greece.
They think that it's a dead place, they think that the whole city is run down, they think
that there is nothing moving.
Which is...okay, as I said, is completely different me saying anything, you've been
here for long enough to share what the city is like, what the locations, the areas can
be like, and what the opportunity altogether can be like.
Because the banks are not lending, so we've got the following facts.
If you had a great credit score, maybe somebody in the family might have a couple of missed
payments, you're out.
Even if you had great credit score but now you've got different family circumstances,
and you've got two kids or your wife has lost her job, you are out.
So, people go and see properties, and what all the sellers have told us, is that people
are coming to see properties but they are actually dreaming the properties.
More dreaming the properties rather than being there to buy the properties.
Rick: They're dreaming of the opportunity rather than knowing how to take advantage
of the opportunity?
Chris: Yeah.
Rick: I'll tell you a couple of things I've learned since I've been here, which I think
is so exciting, right?
Like, we all hear about how, you know, Germany and the banks, right?
Germany has been saving Greece's ass, pouring all this money into Greece, Greece owes all
this money, and then the funny thing about it is all the massive infrastructure that's
being done, but it's all German.
Chris It's all German.
Rick: [inaudible 00:09:18] system but it has to be seen as German trains, right?
Chris: Indeed, that's the trade-off.
Rick: And then you have an airport, you need an airport, but it has to be run and owned
and built by the Germans.
It's like the Germans go, "All right, we're lending you billions of dollars as long as
all the work for all the infrastructure is German."
Right?
I reckon that's really quite funny, right?
Chris: And the maintenance thereafter, so long...
Rick: Yeah, that's it.
I just think it's funny how they go, "Oh, we spent all this money to Germany..."
It's like all the Germans go, "We spend all this money to Greece, the Greeks aren't paying
it back," but it all went to German companies that were contracted by Germany to do all
the work because...
Yeah, so everything in the whole place is kind of German, right?
You know, talking of, they've had two shots that every 60 years they come down here and
try and take over the place, right?
So, it's funny to see how that sort of works.
And also just to see how the perception of what reality is, compared to what reality
is.
You know, what people think is gonna happen.
You know, what you got?
Capital controls here for now two years, right?
Chris: Yeah, capital controls in place since July 15.
Rick: Okay.
So, let me ask you, when they did that by the way, I'm gonna guess that was an overnight
decision, there was no warning about that, they just went ahead and do it.
Chris: Absolutely.
You never get a warning for capital controls, Cyprus, nothing.
Rick: So here's the deal.
And guys, just so you know, when Cyprus had capital controls, that was for four years,
right?
Chris: That was for four years.
Rick: Okay, so we got capital controls.
Now, what does that actually mean to the man in the streets?
Just so people listening to the podcast know what that means, what does it mean?
Chris: Okay, people can withdraw up to €420 a week.
That's per, like, card you've got.
If you've got different accounts, you can do €420 from each account.
Or you can withdraw €840 every two weeks.
Rick: So, let's say you wanted to go and take your family to America for a month, and you
need about €5,000 to do that, you can't take that money out?
Chris: You can, because credit cards and e-transfers are fine, there is no limit, so you can do
that all day long.
Rick: All right.
But it's just if you just wanted to sort of...what if you wanna go and buy, like, a car for €15,000,
can you do that?
Chris: Yeah, you can.
Rick: All right.
But you just can't get the cash out?
Chris: Precisely.
Let's bring things back to the right dimension, what capital controls practically mean.
So you've got €420 to withdraw, and if the month has got like four-and-a-half weeks,
we end up with an amount of €1,800 or something.
So, how many people in Greece now earn €1,800?
So...
Rick: Oh, it comes out right.
I mean, the average guy in Greece, and I know it's hard to say the average guys, but what
do Greek people earn?
I mean, let's say you go to someone who's a clerk in a bank or something, right?
I mean, what is the average kind of...
Chris: Net take home income is €1,200.
Rick: How often?
Chris: Every month, let's say.
Rick: You're telling me that people here in Greece are working and walking out of here
with €1,200 a month after tax?
Chris: Yeah.
This is what the average salary is like at the moment.
Rick: Wow.
Yes, I think that's less, we're talking less than €300 a week.
Wow, that's really quite fascinating, isn't it?
Chris: Yeah.
People can get on with it because 85% own their own house, and then you get help from
the family, and they combine their circumstances really to adjust to what's going on.
Rick: Well, let's talk a little about your background.
You used to do property, or you do do property.
What type of property traditionally have you transacted in Greece yourself?
Chris: Okay.
I'm into property 19 years now, since 1999, and the typical transactions that I've done
range from build to sell, build to rent, title split, lease options over the years, buy,
refab, refinance, buy, refab, sell, pretty much all sorts of transactions.
Rick: Okay.
So, when you're not doing that...
Chris: Flats and houses, back to your original question.
Rick: Okay, flats and houses.
Now, one of the things I've noticed, you've got a lot of commercial stock here for sale.
Now, obviously that's hard to shift, so I'm gonna say that's a little bit for the...because
of the downturn of the market, right?
You said something that was very interesting, and everybody has a perception that Greece
is down on its knees.
The one thing I've noticed the time I've been here, going through all the shopping centers,
the restaurants, everything else, it's like nothing's in need of repair, it's like there's
enough money in the economy that everything looks like it should look.
It doesn't look like it's a beaten down place, it doesn't look like someone's gonna be flip-flopping,
beating the place around the ears kind of thing, right?
It actually looks like no one would ever know, from just being a part of the Greek economy,
that the Greek economy actually has any problems at all.
Chris: As you said, is the perception.
I've got the luxury, let's say, to be in and out all the time.
So, if you see things from a different perspective, you get to see the same trail across BBC,
ABC, all sorts of channels, which is back in 2015 when the capital controls were originally
imposed and they are stuck there.
There is nothing looking like what the media are giving out.
But yeah, you have to be here to see what it's like.
And you know what, if it is like this today, it can get only better.
Because if the economy is at the rock bottom and you see what you see, that the there is
enough money, the country is running, people are going to work in the morning, they're
taking the kids to school, and things are moving, it can get only better.
The another reason that the opportunity is right here, right now.
Rick: Well, look, there's a couple of things.
First of all, I know that when the capital controls disappear, everything will go through
the roof.
Now, you've already had capital controls for about two years, maybe two or three years.
I mean, you're not gonna have capital controls for the next 20 years, right?
So therefore, the opportunities you get in here...I mean, you and I have been buying
a whole bucket load of properties up for those like to fill up the sample bag, the Christmas
bag, you know?
Because capital controls one day have to disappear, and the fact is really we're just picking
up all the loans as you hit the 52% of loans that people don't wanna make payments on anymore,
we've just been picking those up because other people don't want them.
What have you found as you've tried to get other people involved in property, in Greece?
From where those...where do you think people struggle?
Chris: Okay.
Is there are mindset roadblocks, number one, because everybody says that property is a
bad thing.
Number one.
Number two, as soon as the capital controls are lifted, then people will feel differently,
especially people from abroad.
And number three, the major component is that as soon as the banks start lending again,
the prices will sky-rocket.
Rick: They will, won't they?
Chris: Yeah.
Rick: I understand that.
Guys, I'll tell you what, if you wanna speak about Greece and get more information on Greece,
just go to rickotton.co.uk/go.
That's rickotton.co.uk/go, and listen, plug in for 15 minutes, and if you wanna ask some
questions about Greece, what we're doing in Greece, I'd love to have a bit of a chat to
get you guys up to speed.
Chris Dyce and myself here, we're talking about buying properties, which of course [inaudible
00:16:58] we've sat in so many coffee shops, and I just think I was a bit excited by the
amount of people who sort of queued up.
And the funny thing is, when we actually thought we didn't wanna buy any more properties because...right?
You know, we didn't wanna buy any more properties, it was like 44-degree heat, and I'm thinking,
oh look, I've had enough.
And that lady was like...well, she came and she's like, "When are you gonna buy the property?"
And you looked at me and I looked at you like, "Do we really have to?
We're kind of...we've got our boots full right now, which is..."
Chris: That was a nice one, that was a nice one.
Rick: And the old story, the less you want it, the more the other person wants to do
it.
One other thing too that's going on here which I'm gonna get involved in...
Chris: Can I add something to this?
Guys, it was a hilarious moment where Rick goes like, "Chris Dyce, can you look a little
bit more interested about the property?"
Rick: Yeah, well that was it, you probably had that look of like, "Oh, we've got another
one.
Another one, look, jeez, you've got to stop, you know?
Stop the fight."
It's like the word got out, there must have been a memo that said there's only Rick and
Chris, those are the only two guys left buying property in Greece, and this memo must have
gone out, the posted note must've been stuck on a toilet wall somewhere, right?
And everybody is like coming to us, we're like, "Oh, no more, no more."
The other thing you've got here, which is great, is the €250,000 that you're gonna
invest in Greece, and that gives you entry into the EU.
So you buy one property for €250,000, which, by the way is about €600,000 property three
years ago, then you have €250,000, and then you've got access to the EU.
I think just all the other countries are collapsing.
Chris: Is the least expensive investment reserve [SP] across the EU at the minute.
Rick: Yeah.
Now, I was saying, well, Spain had a bundle a little while go that was €500,000, and
if it's all jumped and settled, let's make it 250, that's kind of like everybody saw
they're racing each other to the bottom.
Mate, thanks for coming in and chatting to us.
Chris: Pleasure.
Pleasure.
Thank you for coming over.
Rick: I'll tell you what, I feel like a big kid that's been locked in the chocolate shop
by his mommy late at night, mom's gone home and forgotten about me, and I've now gotta
survive through a chocolate diet for the next six hours, it's just great.
Thanks, everybody, for coming to the podcast.
I'll tell you what, I'm with Chris Dyce, we'll speak to you all next week.

No More! Spoken Word Poetry - Duration: 3:59.
In this relatively short lifespan of mine I remember losing my mind at least four times
So sit back
Close your eyes and open your mind because this might rhyme
somebody might start crying
And somebody might be just like me and only want to find a way to reach out to those lost souls who were born in
The flock, but they strayed away
Partially due to certain situations involving people who lack the proper spiritual qualifications, and it concluded in my alienation
So now I'm living like an alien and a nation of blind natives dreaming I'm asleep
And I can't wake up and I hate it
It's been deeply debated
Whether my lack of motivation is simply misstated or even exaggerated because sometimes people confuse
laziness and craziness for faith
focus and a fiery conviction
But the only thing I know I know for sure is that I don't even know what I'm supposed to know no more, I mean
How do you know you haven't been part of a cult?
when ever since the start it's been indoctrinated and inculcated into my mind and in my heart and
As life kept happening to me
Tragedies kept happening to me, but I'm constantly made to feel and believe. It's all my fault I
Remember a lot like Lot's wife turning into a pillar of salt
and the donkey who could talk and a serpent who did the same and the
Angels at the gates of the garden and the way the sword turned and the flames and names of books like Leviticus and Deuteronomy
And Nahum and Habbakuk and how to check a reference or the conversation stoppers in the Reasoning book
and how I learned to look up information on my own at an early age and even though my
imagination was often sparked by the words and the pictures on the page I
Can't lie to you and say that I never noticed inconsistencies
And sometimes heard utter nonsense uttered from the stage
Look, I don't want to disrespect nobody's beliefs because I would hate to be like that snake and make you shake your faith
but wait I
Remember Jesus didn't play by man's rules either and his followers were persecuted, so they still died being believers
I don't believe the truth should leave a doubt in my mind
Because when the blind are leading the blind they don't want to believe me when I say I could see
Is it that they can't?
Or maybe I can't and I just think I can I don't know
The only thing I know I know for sure is that I don't even know what I'm supposed to know no more
and right now
I don't even want to know I
Just want to grow I feel like I want to try really hard to find God in my sleep
And I will confess all of my secrets and hope between me myself
And I we could trust him to keep it's just this deep is the abyss and almost as
Life-changing as the flood and I remember the sacrifices of the ancient prophets and the way Jesus Christ gave his life in his blood
but
most of my personal trials and tribulations used to come courtesy of my wife and my blood and
My upbringing and may or may not be the only reason I'm spiritually singing the blues because I already know what the congregation would say
I just wish a few of you could walk a mile in my shoes
Before you criticize and abuse especially brother to brother when I come to you and confess
I'm confused and you seem amused so my dignity is bruised and you say to lose my ego
But every time I try I can't find my true amigos and when we go door
to door, I feel like I've said this to somebody somewhere sometime before and it's not that I don't want to say it anymore I
Just want to know if this is a game
because if it is I
Don't want play no more

[music]

Top Things To Do in La Jolla, California - Sea Lions, Seals, Kayaking - Duration: 10:28.
Good morning! Hi! We're on our way to La Jolla today. Candy lives in San Diego
and La Jolla's only like what, 20 minutes?
Yeah, it's about 20 minutes from where I am.
We're excited to check out all the stuff La Jolla has to offer. We went there one time last year
and just like went to view the sunset which was gorgeous.
So gonna do that again and look at the sea lions and seals because they're my favorite. They're so cute.
They kinda remind me of Kuma, my corgi. Just cause of the way they lay down.
We'll probably see them up close too when we go kayaking.
That's what I wanna do!
Staff: Hey, how's it going guys?
Hey how are you?
I like these neon signs. It's like the new thing.
We're at Parakeet Cafe and I got like a nice healthy breakfast and they got birds all over the wall!
OMG they give you these little cute complimentary pins.
I'm putting mine on my backpack.
It's just so cute and I can't believe that it's like complimentary.
So we're in this little hut kinda place.
Like a look-out point to the water.
and everyone is taking turns to take pictures by the cliff over here because the waves are gorgeous.
Whoa! There it is!
I can't get over how awesome those waves are!
I know, it's so beautiful.
I could literally sit here all day just watching these waves. It's so cool.
That's what everyone's doing too. Just watch the waves all day.
Everybody watching, taking pictures.
That guy's excited.
Yup, mhmm.
We're gonna try to find the Scripps Park.
The Lorax tree.
There it is!
Here it is - the Dr. Seuss tree behind us.
So this was what the inspiration was for Dr. Seuss, right?
Yeah, Lorax. The trees in Lorax, the movie... the inspiration was from these trees that are in La Jolla.
Look at our beautiful view!
I got the Bloody Mary with the black salt and Candy got the.. what?
It's like a Hawaiian version of the Moscow Mule.
Yeah...
OMG I'm just like so happy we have this cool view!
Just got done at Duke's La Jolla.
The view was awesome.
I think we got the best seat in the house.
We really did. We sure did, Candy. We go the best seat in the house.
That's how cool we are. Hahaha.
So, we're at the Legends Gallery. Dr Seuss' art is displayed here and it's for sale too.
Go see this place. It's really cool. You'll see all his cool art and sculptures.
Yeah, stuff that never made it into the children's books so it's more like adult type of art
They have some adult and some children's.
And Tammy thank you for being so helpful and informative. We learned a lot.
Yes, thank you!
There's La Valencia hotel. I like that hotel. I like the lounge area there.
Hello!
Crystal's like 'I want natural gelato'.
It just sounds so refreshing right now.
Is that the same as organic?
This girl in front of us... I guess she comes here all the time was like, 'OMG you're gonna love it. Try everything!'
So I got the pistachio and mocha and it comes in this cute cup and they give you a lot.
And Candy got strawberry and pumpkin.
Really good.
We're gonna go to Jim's Sea Cave now. It's like a gift shop or something and
then you go through the store and there's like this tunnel or underground
stairs to go underneath to the cave.
Oh this is it. This thing, right?
Oh, here it is. The cave store!
Are you excited about this Candy?
Mhmm. It looks cool.
That's what going underneath that thing!
Followin you, sista.
Goin down!
Oh wow, oh we hear the waves down there. So cool.
It sounds kinda scary...
I know.
We're very close...
Here it is... the cave.
Got done with the cave store going underneath the tunnel.
Yeah, when you come back out, you should definitely explore a little bit around the store.
Because there's like this really cool spot on the cliff.
Is that the cave we went into?
I don't know which cave it is but it's gotta be like one of those caves.
Cause that's where the store is up there, so it's gotta be one of those caves down here.
Going back to the car to drive to our kayak tour.
Candy has to drink some Dramamine because she gets a little sea sick, so just in case.
Yeah I don't want to go out to sea and then come right back because it's happened before.
Look how cool we look! I love these helmets.
Who wants to bet one of our sunglasses is gonna get lost?
Yeah, it might happen but we're gonna go for it.
So it's me and Candy's first time kayaking. We'll see how it goes.
Oh we don't actually wear shoes?
Can we wear our water shoes?
Yeah yeah, that's totally fine. I just don't recommend flip flops or anything.
Cool man
Are you ready for this?
I'm ready!
Let's see if we can go past this.
I know... can we go past those waves?
Alright, so we ended our kayaking journey a little early. Candy here is sea sick.
Yeah, I got a little sea sick, so....
So, we had to turn around but as you can see, the waves are very, very choppy today.
Not good for someone who usually gets seasick.
Yeah, so we went out there about halfway through and I came back.
And they said that we couldn't go into the caves anyway since it was dangerous with these winds.
So gonna head back out now. My shorts are all wet hahaha.
You didn't lose your sunglasses.
I have my sunglasses tho.
We're at the Children's Pool with all the seals behind us. They are the cutest things!
Whoa, are those all surfers out there?
Wow, yes!
Damn!
Welcome to Windansea!
If you wanna see a bunch of surfers, this is the place to go.
