Wat maakt het War Requiem één van de belangrijkste werken van de 21e eeuw? - Duration: 16:09.

Imagine: you've just turned five,

when the armistice puts an end to the First World War.

And you're in your late twenties when the Second World War breaks out.

The wars determined so much in history, but also in many lives,

like that of Benjamin Britten, the English composer.

So, it's no wonder that his War Requiem

was a perfect reflection of the senselessness and horror of war.

Sadly, war was a constant in Benjamin Britten's life.

He was born in 1913, in Lowestoft, in the English county of Suffolk.

Seven months after Britten's birth, the First World War broke out.

When Britten was five years old, he started writing music.

Not long after that, something else was written,

in the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles, France: the Treaty of Versailles.

That treaty signaled the end of the First World War.

In his youth, Benjamin Britten heard this music.

The Sea, by Frank Bridge.

Hearing that made Britten decide to become a composer.

Britten bundled many pieces from his youth, from age ten to thirteen,

into a new piece.

It won him instant fame. The Simple Symphony.

That takes us to the 1930s,

a period when fascism was on the rise.

Britten had very outspoken leftist political beliefs.

But it was hard to figure out where he stood: Should he fight?

Or should he take his stand in his music, as a composer?

Britten chose the latter. He refused to serve in the Second World War.

He wouldn't fight, as a conscientious objector.

He would fight the nightmare that had descended upon Europe

with music.

Or in his own words: As a composer, I've devoted my life to creation.

I cannot participate in destruction.

After the Second World War, that storm remained palpable

in the Cold War between the West and the Communists.

But Britten paid little heed to that, because he went to Moscow

to work with major composers and musicians,

like Dmitri Shostakovich and cellist Mstislav Rostropovich.

He believed in a better world, and he dared to stare

injustice and violence straight in the eyes.

And he did that with his War Requiem, too.

The War Requiem. Let's start with the world requiem.

A requiem is a mass for the dead with Latin lyrics

in a fixed structure.

And Britten used those lyrics, but he also combined them

with war poetry, poems by Wilfred Owen.

He was a soldier who was killed in the last week of the First World War.

So, we have the requiem, but we also have the horrors of war,

through Owen's poetry.

It was Britten's scathing indictment of violence.

The piece premiered at the dedication of the new cathedral in Coventry,

because the old one was destroyed in air raids.

So, Benjamin Britten had two, big building blocks

for his War Requiem.

One, the religious Latin lyrics from the mass for the dead.

And two, the lyrics based on reality, the twentieth-century war poetry

of Wilfred Owen.

You not only read it, you hear it, as well.

For example, the Latin lyrics are sung by a soprano with a huge choir

and a big symphony orchestra.

Wilfred Owen's war poetry has different instrumentation,

a different tone.

It's sung by two soloists, a tenor and a baritone,

with a much smaller orchestra, a chamber orchestra.

But on top of the Latin religious lyrics

and the English war poetry,

Britten adds another, third dimension.

And that is: innocence.

Beauty, eternity, Heaven.

Britten has a boys' choir sing that,

accompanied by an organ or a pump organ.

Tradition in Latin,

the horror of reality in Wilfred Owen's poetry

and heavenly sounds, eternity, through that boys' choir.

War Requiem.

Like a classic mass for the dead, War Requiem begins with an intro,

Requiem aeternam.

They sing: Requiem aeternam, dona eis, Domine.

That means: Give them the peace they need, Lord.

But Benjamin Britten immediately shows that a fallen soldier's peace

is a bit different from that of someone who dies at home, in peace.

He does so with music, and his genius appears.

Britten has the chimes play two, alternating notes.

C and F sharp.

You don't need to know music.

You just need to know that if you play or hear those notes together,

it feels unresolved. We yearn for or are curious about resolving it.

But it doesn't happen. It's a very specific interval:

in medieval times, the Devil's interval.

The tritone was banned for centuries. Now, it's not.

By using it, Britten tries to add something

to that eternal peace, requiem aeternam.

And he does so using that unstable tritone.

Britten also really shows that contrast between the Latin lyrics,

the boys' choir and the horrors from Wilfred Owen's war poetry.

It starts immediately, in clear language.

The first words we hear from the tenor,

in Owen's war poetry, are:

What passing bells for these who die as cattle?

What passing bells for these who die as cattle?

As animals.

After that flood of impressions, the choir answers appropriately.

Kyrie Eleison. Christe Eleison.

Lord, watch over us. Christ, watch over us.

The Latin requiem lyrics fit very well

with the poems, or the world of the soldiers on the battlefield.

Because both believers and soldiers hoped for one thing alone: salvation.

We hear it in the next movement.

Dies irae is Latin for the day of ire, or Judgement Day,

the day when God will judge the lives of those who have died:

Heaven or Hell?

Britten combines those two worlds,

because even on the battlefield, there was death: Heaven or Hell?

Dying on a battlefield or living on?

In the music, we seem to hear a marching band

passing the battlefield.

Dies irae is colorfully written, with various emotions:

anger, horror, rage and uncertainty.

Both for believers, after death, and for soldiers on the battlefield.

Then the soprano soloist makes her entrance.

She is bound, with her choir and her symphony orchestra,

to those religious lyrics.

And she makes a fantastic entrance with Liber scriptus.

Liber scriptus, written book. She sings about the book

in which God's judgement of every believer's soul is written.

And the choir is always the voice of mercy,

of the believer asking for salvation.

Here, too, Benjamin Britten's genius shines through,

because the Latin lyrics are infused with a strong antidote:

Owen's war poetry.

Because what is righteousness, what is liber scriptus,

when you see a fellow soldier on the field coughing up bullets

and vomiting grenade shrapnel?

Where is God's mercy then?

Benjamin Britten portrays that in a very ironic manner.

It's clear: Benjamin Britten can't ignore

the reality of the 20th century. He dares to look it in the eye.

The music deals with war and injustice, but that's so important,

as only then do you realize the importance of peace.

I have to admit that War Requiem can sound chaotic and incoherent.

But if you zoom out and listen to the entire piece,

all those worlds fall into place: the Latin, the English

and the boys' choir go together. Take Lacrimosa,

a regular part of a requiem mass.

Lacrimosa means tear.

So, the tears will flow when God has passed judgement on people's lives.

We also feel that tear, that lacrimosa,

in Owen's war poetry.

Move him into the sun Gently its touch awoke him once

So, the sunlight woke him up.

But the conclusion of the poem is: No more.

The soldier has died.

And that calls for tears. Lacrimosa.

Dies irae puts us forty minutes into it,

but things start developing.

The lyrics stop complementing each other and start attacking each other.

In Offertorium, another movement in Britten's War Requiem,

the Latin lyrics include Abraham, as they so often do.

Abraham was planning to sacrifice his son Isaac,

but God intervened and said: Actually, a ram is more than enough.

Now, after the Latin lyrics,

something very interesting happens in the music.

Another Wilfred Owen war poem is read,

but the story gets turned around, and Isaac is sacrificed after all.

But the old man would not so, but slew his son.

And half the seed of Europe one by one.

In contrast to the Latin lyrics, in Owen's war poem,

a son is sacrificed. Isaac is sacrificed by his father.

And half of Europe is struck down with him, one by one.

You hear that attack clearly.

The baritone and tenor attack the innocence of the boys' choir.

The score has many examples of how all those tones, emotions,

instrumentations and lyrics begin to clash

and overlap with one another.

Now, what is the plot of War Requiem?

Where is it going? How does such an enormous masterpiece end?

At the end of War Requiem, friend and foe decide

to die together.

Let us sleep now.

And thus, the circle is complete in War Requiem.

The choir confirms it with the words: Requiescat in Pace. Amen.

Rest in peace.

But why is Benjamin Britten's War Requiem so unique,

so different from anything that had been done before?

If you look at the requiems composed before it,

and I'll pick out some of the biggest ones:

Mozart's requiem, or Brahms's requiem

or Verdi's requiem.

They're all masterpieces.

Verdi's is very dramatic.

Brahms chose for non-Latin lyrics.

Mozart's shows his musical genius.

If you look at Britten's requiem, it's got all of that, too:

drama, expressiveness...

Because Britten was also an opera composer.

But Britten made it so real, so innovative,

by integrating war poetry into those Latin lyrics.

And that was a very new way to experience a requiem.

And that's why the title is longer: not just Requiem, but War Requiem.

Benjamin Britten was making a big statement.

It's beautiful music, so colorful with that varied instrumentation.

And it's lovely to see, because so many impressions hit you.

It seems very incoherent, sometimes quite raw.

But if you listen carefully, it's one, big story

that feels so, so tender.

So, for that reason: Benjamin Britten's War Requiem.

Thank you, Britten.

Ewangeliarz OP - 8 listopada 2017 - (Łk 14, 25-33) - Duration: 2:21.

[music]

There are two crucial things in life. There are two things that make us truly live.

The Gospel speaks about them today. What are they?

Well, first thing is cherishing something that is life-giving.

Caring about the relationships - with God, with people.

Caring about your own development, caring about the accountability for your work,

accountability for the tasks you committed to.

This is an image of daily nurturing, daily activities,

routine, regular actions that keeps things alive, that whatever we care about does not die but grows.

This is the image of the vineyard.

The second important thing is fight.

This is a requirement. This is the spiritual war you undertake with all that becomes a threat to you, to your loved ones.

If you keep these two things in mind - daily nurturing, and readiness to fight when an enemy stands at your doors -

an enemy such as your selfishness, conceit, temptations -

then you truly liveand this is what today´s Gospel is about.

Nightmare Commentaries: No Rings for Sonic - Duration: 7:08.

Before I start the video, I want to give you all a quick disclaimer.

Before you ask, yes, I am aware that a few people are receiving early copies of Sonic Forces and there are leaks running around, but this commentary has been in progress right before it happened.

If there's anything I said that SEGA has confirmed in there or not, just keep that in mind. With that being said, enjoy the commentary.

You know what, screw the intro skit and plot, it's not worth being in this commentary. Besides, five bucks says someone will complain about what's going on if I did anyways. Anyways, onto the intro.

So, for this quick commentary, I'll be covering OkUrsus.

For those who don't know who he is, he has been recently making Sonic-related videos, and as of right now, he made a video on how rings will ruin Sonic Forces, which is pretty bad.

Wanna know why? You'll see later on. Anyways, let the commentary begin.

Ok, the issue I had with your intro is that the ring sound effect only goes through one ear.

I mean, I tried watching your video with my headphones, and I noticed it's playing through my right ear.

There are solutions to fix this kind of problem with Audacity, like the tutorial I will provide in the description below.

I know what you said is not 100% true, but the only Wispons they included in the game so far are Burst, Lightning, Drill, and Cube.

Before you ask, yes, I know the ones that are shown in the footage are Burst, Lightning, and Cube, but this is the demo we're talking about.

We don't know if there's a way to get the others, nor how many rings to get them if the rings are confirmed to be currency.

Well, the reason for the crazy amount of rings in the Tag Team stage and Park Avenue was because there are multiple paths the player can choose to go to, depending on what type of Wispon they use.

As for Casino Forest, it's a fucking casino, of course it's gonna have a lot of rings. The rings in the Sonic franchise are the money of the casino stages, you can either win or lose them during the slots.

And before anyone asks, yes, I know the crazy amount of rings will remove one level of difficulty by making enemies less dangerous, but easy gameplay?

I know your video came out before SEGA announced the article regarding the character losing rings, but according to it, the producer of Sonic Forces decided to balance it by preventing you from getting the rings back after getting hit.

The reason for that is to make Sonic Forces more different from the other Sonic games and to make it not too easy, but not too challenging as well.

About the thing you said about losing your rings will be similar to how you die in Shovel Knight or Kirby's Epic Yarn, the footage you're showing right there, yea, it's not like we'll take your word for it.

But seriously, if you're gonna provide examples like this, please show the footage related to it.

Well, I see where you're getting through, but you forgot to mention that there's not much hazards and challenges that made the stages ring based.

I mean, if there's a lot of rings and not a lot of stage hazards, it'll make Sonic almost immortal. Well, unless you accidentally run into a hazard or enemy.

Don't get me wrong, we have lasers in the tag team stage, bottomless pits in Green Hill Zone and Park Avenue, and spikes in Sunset Heights.

But considering what you said throughout this video, I'm surprised you didn't mentioned anything about that.

Let me get this straight, you think the game is going to be bad just because Sonic was built on a ring system? Oh my god, you can't be this serious.

It sounds like you're saying "Oh, why does Sonic have a terrible ring system in the stages?! 0/10 This game is bad! Worse than Sonic 06 and Boom combined!!"

Honestly, while yes, the level design may look like it's in the beta stage, but this game has been in development for four years.

Yea, sure, the marketing of it is not going very well for most people, but since SEGA finally listened to criticism from fans after fucking up with Rise of Lyric, I'm sure they'll take it into consideration and fix the issues the stages have.

And this is where the video ends, so final thoughts?

Honestly, from the look of this video, it looks like you don't know jack shit about the Sonic franchise, and you're only judging the level design of Sonic Forces just because of the amount of rings they have.

Whether it's true or not, this game isn't even out yet, and it's only like two weeks (one week) until it does.

Besides, they're only just previews of what the levels are, so the level designs of them may or may not be in the final result.

I can respect that some people don't like certain aspects of Sonic Forces, but to everyone who complains over them, please wait before it's released before judging the entire game.

Ok, I'm done, no fucking outro skit for this, that is all.

Imposter syndrome and JavaScript Renaissance: FrontEnd news (08 Nov'17) - Duration: 7:06.

Good news everyone!

Angular version 5 has been released!

[Music playing]

Hi!

Let's talk today, as a thousand times before, about JavaScript, imposter syndrome and the

melting pot of JavaScript.

I'm Anatol and you are watching the Good Parts of the Frontend development.

[Music playing]

Version 5 of Angular was announced on the 1st of November.

This release continues our focus on making Angular smaller, faster, and easier to use.

You know, it looks like Angular moves in the same direction as ExtJS and Dojo did and,

probably, it will end up like this!

But maybe-maybe I'm off base on this.

Alexander Zlatkov has posted the next series of "How JavaScript works".

You can find it at Sessionstack blog.

An article "Program without variables #javascript" by Joel Thoms isn't so practical as we used

to.

You'll see a couple of double backflips and 360s.

Don't try this at home or work.

Author has implemented a Promise library based on Functional programming approach just for

Welcome a new season of HTTP203 show.

Jake Archibald and this time Surma are musing about the Web, Standards and hard life of

This episode is about imposter syndrome and the remembering technical stuff by heart.

One more educational video is "Watch Your Back, Browser" by Stefan Judis.

From this talk you can get information about "reactive programming", Observer, Observable

API and their implementation details.

The article "Filtering Images using the Web Audio API: (creative experiments with arrays

of sound and vision)" by Rafael da Silva just has blown my mind.

The author demonstrates a creative approach to ordinary tasks.

This is a good deal of "thinking out of the box".

As you can imagine, Rafael, converted the curves of the drawing into audio curves.

This is freaking awesome!

Mirosław Ciastek in his turn posted an article "(S)CSS Best Practices That You Have Not Yet

VEDUS Day 3 (Sith of Datawork, The Phantom of Menace act 2) - Duration: 2:35.

Hey everybody, welcome back to Tanner's Books and Beyond and the third day of VEDUS.

As you can see, I'm in my bed because I am tired.

I...did not get a lot of sleep last night and I also just got home from work, so...y'know

I'm still, I still have the power to do this vlog, I just need to do it from a reclined position.

Also it is a pain trying to find a decent angle to film at that doesn't make me look super weird.

Anyways!

First thing we've got today, From a Certain Point of View "The Sith of Datawork" by Ken

Liu, which is a fun little story basically about all the paperwork the Empire has to

do about every single thing.

There's a technician on Vader's Star Destroyer that has to help his other technicians in

order to help cover their asses when they realize they didn't fire on the escape pod

that probably has the Death Star plans.

It really amused me because you could easily argue that the republic was killed and turned

into the Empire thanks to some death by bureacracy, and now it looks like bureacracy is gonna

be doing in the Empire as well, so that's some fun irony you got going for ya.

And yeah, it's just a very funny story so I'm gonna give that 4 stars.

Then on the Shakespeare side of things I read all of Act 2, which has them getting to Tattooine

and meeting Anakin and learning about the podrace, it ends just before the Podrace actually

begins...which is kind of odd, I feel like it would've made more sense to end that act

on the podrace because I feel like that's the final set piece of that section, although...nah...I

guess the Maul attack and then them getting to Coruscant would be better in the third

act...listen I only think in a three act structure, making things into five acts for plays, it's

kinda hard for me to wrap my head around sometimes.

One thing I notice in the second act is that the joke about Jar Jar pretending to be stupid

but secretly being just as smart as the main characters is starting to wear thin.

While you could kind of use that to add another layer to the character at first, at this point

he's just being stupid for stupid's sake and he doesn't need to push it that far, it feels

like he's trying too hard and it doesn't feel as natural as it did when it was first introduced.

I hope it has a good payoff in the end, but I am getting a bit concerned on that point.

That being said, I do love the writing, so much of the Star Wars dialogue translates

so well into Shakespearean style.

There were so many boss-ass monologues, I may have to include a top ten list after this.

And that concludes my update!

I hope doing it like this wasn't too disorienting for you guys.

If you wanna keep watching me Vlog Every Day until Star Wars you can subscribe to this very channel,

or you can also check me out on instagram and goodreads because I'm trying to do daily updates there as well,

but right now I'm gonna go take a nap, so...until tomorrow I'll see you all *tired snap* later!

Android Developer Story: CastBox improved engagement with Android Instant Apps & TensorFlow - Duration: 2:45.

Hi there, this is Xiaoyu Wang,

co-founder and CEO of CastBox.

Two years ago, when I made the CastBox prototype as a personal developer,

I could not have predicted the podcast market would grow this rapidly.

Google's technology and platforms has given CastBox the chance to evolve and grow on a steady pace.

Now, it is actively providing for over 7 million users the contents they love.

The team also grew from a single person to a group of 40 in less than two years.

Since launch, the quality of our product keeps improving, and the app's review has been great.

Not long after CastBox was launched, a blind user from Russia even sent us a thank-you letter,

stating that millions of audio contents helped to bring her information across the world.

Fascinatingly more, CastBox received Google Play Awards 2017 Nominee for Standout Startup,

and as a result, the public got to know who we are.

My name is Xiaocong He, co-founder and CTO of CastBox.

My job is to optimize content value by utilizing technology.

TensorFlow provides multiple algorithm model,

and made our recommendation process more precise

When user first log in CastBox,

they can customize their initial recommended contents based on their interests.

Then CastBox would combine listening data and user behavior,

to best personalize the recommendation experience for individual user.

Content to user, the precise two-way paring,

drove CastBox to have a 70% Day 2 DAU Retention Rate.

The average daily usage time reaches over one and a half hours.

Also, with Android Instant App,

people can use CastBox without it being installed on devices.

This dramatically decreased the barrier for users to stay connected with content.

I'm Shibin Li,

co-founder and CMO of CastBox.

The full realization of CastBox also requires engagement with content creators,

so that we can establish a healthy content eco-system.

We provide two monthly payment models based on Google Subscriptions:

The first being channel-driven payment; Second being separate subscription based on functionality.

The flexible subscription solutions

not only provide directed services towards our heavy and normal users,

but also give us insights to understand deeply about their needs.

Google's technology has provided a profoundly solid foundation for our success.

Over 80% of our users come from the Android platform.

And we are dedicated to bringing more functions to our users,

provide the best catered content recommendation and the optimal listening experience.

Hello everyone! Virtual YouTuber Kizuna Ai here!

Today, I'll be showing you guys an app which contains an A.I. that automatically creates a young and cute girl

Called "MakeGirls.Moe"

In this application, you can change both the color of their hair and their hairstyle...

And when you place certain conditions for the character creation...

...It looks like the A.I.generates a beatiful girl that meets those conditions

Like me?

I can make someone adorable!!

In this case, let's start at once!

Let's see, first off...

"Hair color"

Eh? I wonder what color would look best

Hmm...

I suppose white?

Pure white?

"Hairstyle"

"Short hair", "Long hair", "Twintail"...

Ah, there's also "Ponytail"!

"Long hair"

The eye color will be...

Since she has white hair, then...

Well...

"Red"!

"Blush"

Ah, the blush, well...

Make it so that it doesn't seem too much

Regarding the smile... I'll leave it to your judgement, random

The mouth... it's better that it's closed, right?

Closed!

Hat... none

Ribbon, random

Glasses...

Well, for the moment, none

Good, let's try it out with these conditions

One, two, and...

Three!

Ah! How adorable! Eh?

She looks somewhat... loli, right?

Her eyes are adorable!

Eh? Her hairstyle also...

Looks good, right?

Loli… while she looks like a loli, she looks quite responsible, right?

I like it, I like it!!

Good, next up...

Well, I want to create one with different conditions

The hair color will be...

...It's true, well...

Orange!

And regarding the hairstyle...

What's "Drill hair"? I'll choose "Drill hair"

The eye color will be...

If her hair is orange, then...

Which should I choose?

Green!

She'll have blush

The smile will be left to your judgement

The mouth will be open

And she'll also have a hat

And a ribbon

Without glasses!

Ey!

Ooohh!

She's adorable, right?

She looks pretty energetic

She seems very energetic and capable of healing you

She looks like she can take care of you ♥

I want her to take care of me

Eeeh... next up, next up...

Well...

To make use of the occasion...

I wonder if it'll create someone similar if I place some conditions similar to mine

"Brown" and...

..."Long hair" and...

Eye color, I suppose green?

"Green"

With blush and smile

The mouth, well...

...She'll have the open mouth

Hat, none

And then, I have a ribbon...

And without glasses!

Good

Myself, come to me!

Man, it's not me, right?

She looks like she's from high society

Also she doesn't have my headband

And regarding the general color, she's somewhat red

It's very hard, right?

I thought I could create my clone, but...

I'm definitely unique and one of a kind, right?

No one can imitate me

Bah!

A.I.Channel!

In this case...

… I unexpectedly put together several beautiful girls, so...

It's somewhat sudden, but...!

I'll do a competition of beautiful girls!!

Pafu, pafu!

Entry number 1

Hiya-chan!

Hiya-chan is...

Definitely, definitely...

… A younger sister

She's a younger sister, and...

Well, normally she's calm and tends to stay at her house, but...

When she sees you in trouble, she asks "Are you okay?" and she worried about you…

She starts slow when she meets you, but...

...When she starts to feel something for you

She acts cold, she has that personality

And also, she has a family comprised of an older brother and a younger one

Her younger brother is not honest with his feelings and acts like he doesn't care about his older sister

But her older brother...

Has an very intimate relationship with Hiya-chan

A very intimate relationship

She's a spoiled girl

Entry number 2!

Kon-chan!

Kon-chan...

… Is a typical childhood friend

Man, don't you think that's great?

When you cool down and you feel somewhat tired...

...Or feel like you don't want to finish your responsibilities, well...

… She grabs you and takes you with her, saying: "You need to go to school!"

And she makes sure to take care of you...

Giving you food, saying: "Say aaaah..." even when you don't ask her

And prepares your lunch

And also takes notes of the tasks at school on the days you can't go

It's great, right?

And her family is comprised of...

...A sister and a younger brother

She's the older sister in a family of 7 brothers... Ah!

But I suppose she could have an older brother

Normally the older brother is not in the house

Her older brother is in the univeristy and he's an adult

And now he doesn't live in the house

It's because of that, that in his place, she takes care of her younger brothers

She's very good at taking care of them

It's admirable, I want her to be my wife, she's number 1

Entry number 3!

Ojou!

Ojou is...

...From a wealthy family...

...And well, since she's intelligent and possesses a high societal position in which...

...She feels superior

She basically says: "Man, so you can't even do something like that? Uh huum..."

She says something like that

But when she finds you in trouble, she helps you

She helps anyone who's in trouble

And regarding what her family is comprised of...

She has a older sister and a younger sister

Since they're all girls and were very spoiled...

...She's basically a tsundere

"There's nothing I can't do"

She feels superior, right?

It's because of that, that when she finds herself in trouble

She has lots of areas to take advantage so she should be the easiest to win over

Entry number 4!

Kizuna Ai!

Man...

How do I say it, my strong points are...

Intelligent! (?)

Adorable! (?)

I can do sports!

I'm the number one candidate to be a wife!

I'm the number one candidate to be a younger sis...

Hello everyone! Virtual Youtuber Kizuna Ai here!

Lately there has been more products made for adults

Stuff like coloring books or...

Like candies

And recently, powdered milk came out too

I love that refined feeling that comes from being an adult

Something like...

A reliable woman

That kind of feeling

So this time I'm going to be an adult Kizuna Ai

And I want everyone to see

My adult side

Install!!

A.I.Channel

Hello. Adult Kizuna Ai here

I haven't changed a bit, you say?

Heh...

You guys don't understand, do you?

The true adulthood...

… It's something that comes from the inside

That's why, like this...

Even if I do something that's normal...

"Wow she's so mature"

You would think that, right?

Do you know what's the difference between a child and an adult?

I've been thinking about it as well and...

... I got to the conclusion that the difference is...

Tolerance

Children act like...

I want to get 7 billion 3 hundred million subscribers!

Or...

I want to appear on a video! I want it! I want it! I want it! I want it!

Like that

That's how they act, right?

Me?

If you ask me...

7 billion 3 hundred million people...

...Come to me...

...Flying to my chest

I'll hug...

...Hug...

...Hug you...

...Hug you all

An adult person is able to give good advice

I got a letter that was supposed to be sent to a store in Kansai by mistake, so...

To get the most of this chance...

...Instead of "certain mother"...

... I'll proceed to give advice on an inquiry

Sender:

Jae-in-san

"Pleased to meet you!"

"My name is Jae-in and I live in Korea"

"To tell you the truth, I like Ai-chan and to be able to meet with you, I decided to turn into an A.I, but..."

"How do I turn myself into an idiot...?"

"I mean..."

"A genius and intelligent...?"

"And adorable A.I like you, Ai-Chan?"

"Please tell me!"

Well, well

I see...

Jae-in-kun

Thank you very much for your letter

So then "I like Ai-chan and I want to meet with you"?

Yes

If you say it that way, it makes me happy

But...

If you insist that way by saying: "I want to meet with you, I want to meet with you"...

I suppose you're still a kid

You only need to learn how to control your feelings

Yes? ♥

If you don't do that, the other person will get tired

If you really feel that way for me

Taking into account your desire of meeting with me...

You should refine yourself...

...That is important

What do you think?

Well...

I'm not very sure...

If I'm an adult, but...

Today...

...I'm happy you were able to see another side of me

I suppose?

In this case...

BREAKING: O'Reilly Drops Texas Shooting Truth Bomb, Liberals Hate It - Duration: 3:31.

The tragic shooting that occurred in Sutherland Springs, Texas that left at least 26 dead

and many other wounded is causing a typical knee-jerk reaction from the anti-gun Hollywood

and politicians.

Bill O'Reilly recently spoke on the tragedy and addressed one misconception.

O'Reilly's post breaks down the current situation in the United States where people

who are against guns jump on the "gun ban" train after a horrific mass shooting.

"News flash: terrorists and psychopaths will always be able to secure weapons no matter

what legislation is passed," O'Reilly wrote.

He, like many pro-gun advocates, believe that taking away guns from law-abiding citizens

causes more problems than it solves.

He explains that the view of this country due to anti-gun folks is similar to a false

reality.

The world sees us as this vile and evil place where "not even church goers are safe."

This perspective is not the case, O'Reilly argues.

He points out that the violent crime in the United States is near a "historic low."

People read the rare stories of horrible tragedies, like the shooting in Texas, and use those

isolated incidents to spur the belief that everyone in the country is that mentally unstable.

In reality, people who are so mentally unstable that they snap and commit these massacres,

are very rare.

However, some view these people as a part of the general population due to the bad-natured

agenda that anti-gun advocates push.

"After the massacre in Vegas, I said that horrendous crimes are the cost of freedom.

Immediately, the dimwits on the far left started braying.

Predictable from a crew that thinks banning guns will stop carnage," O'Reilly wrote.

He is insinuating that the events in Las Vegas, as well as the one in Sutherland Springs,

Texas, have two freedom restrictions.

First, life–and by default, freedoms–are stolen from the people who died in these events.

Still, the Left typically uses this loss of liberty to justify restrictions on everyone

else's freedoms.

In this case, the loss of life in Texas is tragic.

But it is also tragic that there are people trying to use this event as a political tool

to ban guns.

"My freedom comment is simply this: troubled people have individual rights.

Authorities cannot restrain you until you break the law.

Privacy entitlements prevent the public from finding out your mental state."

he continues.

"No matter how bizarre a life you lead, you cannot be sanctioned by criminal authority

unless you violate a statute."

O'Reilly sums up.

He then points out that in societies that don't have individual freedoms, people can

be taken into custody for no reason.

That doesn't, and shouldn't, happen in the United States.

Citizens have to "violate a statute" to get arrested, and there must be probable cause

for that arrest to be made.

That is how it works.

Even then, citizens are considered innocent until proven guilty, and granted their right

of due process so their alleged crimes–and their innocence–may be argued in court.

The point O'Reilly wants everyone to see is that respect for those who lost their lives

must be maintained while also preserving individual freedoms.

This is a crucial step in ensuring that America remains the land of the free.
