Youtube daily report w Nov 12 2017

• From rude store clerks to tactless teachers, the Planet Dolan crew re-enact some of the

best true stories from our subreddit about the most unprofessional things we've ever

experienced, part 3.

I'm Nixxiom and I'm Doopie and today we'll both be narrating!

Number 10 was submitted by Solowolfbadass Andiemations

The worst experience Andiemations had was when she went with her mom to parent teacher

conferences.

When she walked into the classroom, the teacher immediately said, "Oh I didn't know your mom

was an immigrant."

Andie was so pissed off, but her mom told her, in Spanish, "What did he say, translate

for me".

She obliviously didn't translate, but instead went up to her teacher and slapped him across

the face and cursed him out in Spanish.

He said, "You're one of them.

If I could I would give you an F, but I can call immigration YOU LITTLE WHORE!"

He screamed it so loudly, everyone in the hallway heard what he had said and called

the principal.

Andie explained what happened, and the principal immediately fired him.

Number 9 was submitted by chubbybun_ Pandora When Pandora first started at her current

job, she needed help with a part of the business she didn't typically deal with.

So, she walked across the building to the person she needed to talk to and, when she

arrived at his cube, Pandora saw his dick in his hand and full-on porn on his computer

screen.

He tried to quickly close the tab and play it off like it didn't happen.

She was so grossed out she just mumbled out an excuse and walked away quickly.

He never looked her in the eye or talked to her since.

Number 8 was submitted by Lunerchild96 Melissa After Melissa had gotten out of classes for

the day, she went to a cafe near campus before going home because she was really hungry and

couldn't wait.

The cafe gave a student discount when an ID was shown, so she did.

The man working the register got angry and tore the ID in half.

He yelled at her, calling her a privileged cunt and telling her to leave or else he would

call the cops.

Melissa didn't understand what was happening because she had been to that cafe multiple

times and nobody ever said anything when she gave her ID.

She started crying and apologizing, then started to leave when the manager came out of the

back and stopped her.

She scolded the employee for cursing and trying to force her to leave.

A couple of people she went to school with happened to be there and comforted her while

glaring at the employee.

The manager told the man they accepted student IDs and that he had no right to refuse someone.

He was fired and told to leave for his inappropriate behavior, and Melissa got her lunch free of

charge.

Number 7 was submitted by aquamarine-thunder MKyleM

In sixth grade, MKyleM's science teacher bragged that he used to be a professional

gymnast and, since he would occasionally teach gym, did backflips for his class to prove

it.

One day, he decided to do a backflip inside the science classroom for some reason.

He didn't have enough room to complete the landing and his legs slammed into a counter

full of chemicals, spilling them everywhere.

The whole school needed to be evacuated because they were worried some of the fumes were toxic.

It happened on the second to the last day of school, and it was MKyleM's last year

there so he has no idea if the teacher was fired.

Number 6 was submitted by Slootydeathtech Cid

Cid works for a medical examiner's office, and one day he went out on a pretty routine

call.

An elderly, ill man died at home and it was their job to talk to the family, take photos,

and get the body back to the morgue.

They got to the house and Cid and his partner introduced themselves to the family, then

started their jobs.

Cid was talking to the cops within earshot of the rest of the family.

Cop #1 started talking about the position the body was found in mockingly, laughing

and making crude gestures.

The other laughed along.

The deceased man's daughter could see and hear everything clearly.

Cid told them that is was unprofessional, and cop #1 shrugged his shoulders and said,

"I think I would want to die too if I lived in a place this shitty!"

Then he left.

Cid was embarrassed about their actions, and the poor family was more traumatized.

He's dealt with plenty of shitty people but nothing quite that mean.

Number 5 was submitted by bubby56789 Danger Dolan

So Dolan had a co-worker at a doctor's office that would go into the bathroom and be in

there for about an hour, and then come out like nothing ever happened.

One day, Dolan went into the bathroom to see what was up.

Then the door slowly creaked open to completely expose his co-worker smuggling cocaine, which

had been going on for a long time.

The idiot had been sneaking drugs into the office in the bathroom for years, and no one

ever knew!

The man was fired on the spot, and the coke was confiscated.

Number 4 was submitted by Zebrawithabowtie Hellbent

The most unprofessional thing Hellbent ever experienced was when he was ten and was at

a dollar store with his dad.

They were at the checkout line behind a fat woman who was buying a bag of powdered doughnuts.

There was a problem with the cash register, so it had to buffer and the lady said it would

take about seven minutes to do its thing.

The fat woman complained a lot so the cashier openly said, "It's not my fault that you're

a big fat ass who can't go five minutes without doughnuts."

Hellbent and his dad, being the horrible people they are, laughed so hard that it hurt, and

the fat lady stormed out.

They still laugh about it.

Number 3 was submitted by LycanthropeLass Shima

Shima went to an interview at a company that sounded legit.

It was in a nice building in a nice part of town.

She was dressed professionally had her resume and references ready and walked in feeling

confident, but didn't expect what was waiting for her behind the door.

The room was full of people waiting to be interviewed, some had been there for over

two hours, and the staff that was supposed to be interviewed were….

something.

There was a woman walking around in an oversized man's t-shirt with no pants on.

Some sort of movie was blaring in the breakroom, which caused whoever was in the other room

to shout into a phone.

This then made whoever the hell was in the breakroom turn up the volume even more…so

it was just a shit show.

But the worst… the worst by far was this one dude, a man going in and out of the room

while slowly licking gummy bears off the palm of his hand while giggling.

He would stop and look at Shima and some of the other women before going in and out of

the door that went from the office to the hallway.

She was only there for a half hour before she booked it.

Number 2 was submitted by KalenaTheZodiac Gooby

An unprofessional experience Gooby had is when her and her family were in a fast food

restaurant.

While they were eating, they overheard a woman gossiping about some people and as curious

humans they listed in... until the woman and the other workers started having a cussing

party.

Gooby's dad got up and asked them politely to stop because he had children there, as

Gooby was 6 at the time her siblings were 3, 5, and 7.

They stopped for a few minutes, than started back up.

So her dad asked for the manager and they said, "Hell no, we don't wanna get fired.

Go sit down."

Her dad got angry and went to the manager's office, leaving Gooby and her siblings at

the table.

They heard them cussing, and they started repeating the words without realizing what

they were actually saying.

Her dad finally came back from talking to the manager and heard them cussing.

He said, "DON'T EVER SAY THOSE WORDS AGAIN"!

The workers looked and laughed, then one of them shouted, "You need to work on your parenting

skills."

Gooby's dad was more angered than ever, and clocked the man in the face before taking

off in their car.

They got 7 people fired that day.

30 Traits Of An Empath ~ Here's How To Figure Out If You Are One - Duration: 23:48.

30 Traits Of An Empath – Here's How To Figure Out If You Are One

What is an empath?

Being an empath is when you are affected by other people's energies, and have an innate ability to intuitively feel and

perceive others.

Your life is unconsciously influenced by others' desires, wishes, thoughts, and moods.

Being an empath is much more than being highly sensitive and it's not just limited to emotions.

Empaths can perceive physical sensitivities and spiritual urges, as well as just knowing the motivations and intentions

of other people.

You either are an empath or you aren't.

It's not a trait that is learned.

You are always open, so to speak, to process other people's feelings and energy, which means that you really feel,

and in many cases take on the emotions of others.

Many empaths experience things like chronic fatigue, environmental sensitivities, or unexplained aches and pains daily.

These are all things that are more likely to be contributed to outside influences and not so much yourself at all.

Essentially you are walking around in this world with all of the accumulated karma, emotions, and energy from others.

Empaths are often quiet achievers.

They can take a while to handle a compliment for they're more inclined to point out another's positive attributes.

They are highly expressive in all areas of emotional connection, and talk openly, and, at times quite frankly.

They may have few problems talking about their feelings if another cares to listen (regardless of how much they listen

to others).

However, they can be the exact opposite: reclusive and apparently unresponsive at the best of times.

They may even appear ignorant.

Some are very good at "blocking out" others and that's not always a bad thing,

at least for the learning empath struggling with a barrage of emotions from others, as well as their own feelings.

Empaths have a tendency to openly feel what is outside of them more so than what is inside of them.

This can cause empaths to ignore their own needs.

In general an empath is non-violent, non-aggressive and leans more towards being the peacemaker.

Any area filled with disharmony creates an uncomfortable feeling in an empath.

If they find themselves in the middle of a confrontation, they will endeavor to settle the situation as quickly as

possible, if not avoid it all together.

If any harsh words are expressed in defending themselves, they will likely resent their lack of self-control,

and have a preference to peacefully resolve the problem quickly.

Empaths are more inclined to pick up another's feelings and project it back without realizing its origin in the first

place.

Talking things out is a major factor in releasing emotions in the learning empath.

Empaths can develop an even stronger degree of understanding so that they can find peace in most situations.

The downside is that empaths may bottle up emotions and build barriers sky-high so as to not let others know of their

innermost thoughts and/or feelings.

This withholding of emotional expression can be a direct result of a traumatic experience,

an expressionless upbringing, or simply being told as a child, "Children are meant to be seen and not heard!"

Without a doubt, this emotional withholding can be detrimental to one's health,

for the longer one's thoughts and/or emotions aren't released, the more power they build.

The thoughts and/or emotions can eventually becoming explosive, if not crippling.

The need to express oneself honestly is a form of healing and a choice open to all.

To not do so can result in a breakdown of the person and result in mental/emotional instability or the creation of a

physical ailment, illness or disease.

Empaths are sensitive to TV, videos, movies, news and broadcasts.

Violence or emotional dramas depicting shocking scenes of physical or emotional pain inflicted on adults,

children or animals can bring an empath easily to tears.

At times, they may feel physically ill or choke back the tears.

Some empaths will struggle to comprehend any such cruelty, and may have grave difficulty in expressing themselves in

the face of another's ignorance, closed-mindedness and obvious lack of compassion.

They simply cannot justify the suffering they feel and see.

You will find empaths working with people, animals or nature with a true passion and dedication to help them.

They are often tireless teachers and/or caretakers for our environment and all within it.

Many volunteers are empathic and give up personal time to help others without pay and/or recognition.

Empaths may be excellent storytellers due to an endless imagination, inquisitive minds and ever-expanding knowledge.

They can be old romantics at heart and very gentle.

They may also be the "keepers" of ancestral knowledge and family history.

If not the obvious family historians, they may be the ones who listen to the stories passed down and possess the

majority of the family history.

Not surprisingly, they may have started or possess a family tree.

They have a broad interest in music to suit their many expressive temperaments,

and others can query how empaths can listen to one style of music, and within minutes,

change to something entirely different.

Lyrics within a song can have adverse, powerful effects on empaths, especially if it is relevant to a recent experience.

In these moments, it is advisable for empaths to listen to music without lyrics,

to avoid playing havoc with their emotions!

They are just as expressive with body language as with words, thoughts, and feelings.

Their creativity is often expressed through dance, acting, and bodily movements.

Empaths can project an incredible amount of energy portraying and/or releasing emotion.

Empaths can become lost in the music, to the point of being in a trance-like state;

they become one with the music through the expression of their physical bodies.

They describe this feeling as a time when all else around them is almost non-existent.

People of all walks of life and animals are attracted to the warmth and genuine compassion of empaths.

Regardless of whether others are aware of one being empathic, people are drawn to them as a metal object is to a magnet!

Even complete strangers find it easy to talk to empaths about the most personal things, and before they know it,

they have poured out their hearts and souls without intending to do so consciously.

It is as though on a sub-conscious level that person knows instinctively that empaths would listen with compassionate

understanding.

Then again, for empaths, it is always nice to actually be heard themselves!

Here are the listeners of life.

They can be outgoing, bubbly, enthusiastic and a joy to be in the presence of,

as well as highly humorous at the most unusual moments!

On the flip side, empaths can be weighted with mood swings that will have others around them want to jump overboard and

abandon ship!

The thoughts and feelings empaths receive from any and all in their life can be so overwhelming (if not understood)

that their moods can fluctuate with lightning speed.

One moment they may be delightfully happy and with a flick of the switch, miserable.

Abandoning an empath in the throes of alternating moods can create detrimental effects.

A simple return of empathic love–listening and caring compassionately without bias,

judgment and/or condemnation–can go an incredibly long way to an empath's instant recovery.

Many empaths don't understand what is occurring within them.

They literally have no idea that another person's emotions are now felt, as one's own and reflected outwardly.

They are confused as to how one moment all was well, and then the next, they feel so depressed, alone, etc.

The need to understand the possibilities of empath connection is a vital part of the empaths journey for themselves and

for those around them.

Empaths are often problem solvers, thinkers, and studiers of many things.

As far as empaths are concerned, where a problem is, so too is the answer.

They often will search until they find one – if only for peace of mind.

This can certainly prove beneficial for others in their relationships, in the workplace, or on the home front.

Where there is a will, there is a way and the empath will find it.

The empath can literally (likely without the knowledge of what's actually occurring) tap into Universal Knowledge and

be receptive to guidance in solving anything they put their head and hearts into.

Empaths often are vivid and/or lucid dreamers.

They can dream in detail and are inquisitive of dream content.

Often they feel as though the dreams are linked to their physical life somehow, and not just a mumble of nonsensical,

irrelevant, meaningless images.

This curiosity will lead many empathic dreamers to unravel some of the "mysterious" dream contents from an early age

and connect the interpretation to its relevance in their physical life.

If not, they may be led to dream interpretations through other means.

Empaths are daydreamers with difficulty keeping focused on the mundane.

If life isn't stimulating, off an empath will go into a detached state of mind.

They will go somewhere, anywhere, in a thought that appears detached from the physical reality,

yet is alive and active for they really are off and away.

If a tutor is lecturing with little to no emotional input, empaths will not be receptive to such teaching and can

(unintentionally) drift into a state of daydreaming.

Give the empath student the tutor who speaks with stimuli and emotion (through actual experience of any given subject)

and the empath is receptively alert.

Empaths are a captivated audience.

This same principle applies in acting.

An actor will either captivate the audience through expressing (in all aspects) emotions (as though they really did

experience the role they are portraying) or will loose them entirely.

Empaths make outstanding actors.

Empaths frequently experience déjà vu and synchronicities.

What may initially start as, "Oh, what a coincidence", will lead to the understanding of synchronicities as an aspect

of who they are.

These synchronicities will become a welcomed and continually expanding occurrence.

As an understanding of self grows, the synchronicities become more fluent and free flowing.

The synchronicities can promote a feeling of euphoria as empaths identify with them and appreciate the connection to

their empathic nature.

Empaths are most likely to have had varying paranormal experiences throughout their lives.

NDE's (Near death experiences) and or OBE's (Out of body experiences) can catapult an unaware empath into the awakening

period and provide the momentum for a journey of discovery.

Those who get caught up in life, in society's often dictating ways, in work etc.,

can become lost in a mechanical way of living that provides very little meaning.

All "signs of guidance" are ignored to shift out of this state of "doing".

A path to being whole again becomes evident and a search for more meaning in one's life begins.

These types of experiences appear dramatic, can be life-altering indeed,

and are most assuredly just as intensely memorable in years to come.

They are the voice of guidance encouraging us to pursue our journey in awareness.

Sometimes, some of us require that extra assistance!

For some empaths, the lack of outside understanding towards paranormal events they experience,

may lead to suppressing such abilities.

(Most of these abilities are very natural and not a coincidence.) Empaths may unknowingly adopt the positive or

negative attitude of others as their own.

(This, however, can be overcome.) Empaths may need to follow interests in the paranormal and the unexplained with

curiosity so as to explain and accept their life circumstances.

Here are 30 of the most common traits:

1.

Knowing: Empaths just know stuff, without being told.

It's a knowing that goes way beyond intuition or gut feelings, even though that is how many would describe the knowing.

The more attuned they are the stronger this gift becomes.

2.

Being in public places can be overwhelming: Places like shopping malls,

supermarkets or stadiums where there are lots of people around can fill the empath with turbulently vexed emotions that

are coming from others.

3.

Feeling others emotions and taking them on as your own: This is a huge one for empaths.

To some they will feel emotions off those near by and with others they will feel emotions from those a vast distance

away, or both.

The more adept empath will know if someone is having bad thoughts about them, even from great distance.

4.

Watching violence, cruelty or tragedy on the TV is unbearable: The more attuned an empath becomes the worse it is and

may make it so they eventually have to stop watching TV and reading newspapers altogether.

5.

You know when someone is not being honest: If a friend or a loved one is telling you lies you know it (although many

empaths try not to focus on this because knowing a loved one is lying can be painful).

Or if someone is saying one thing but feeling/thinking another, you know.

6.

Picking up physical symptoms off another: An empath will almost always develop the ailments off another (colds,

eye infections, body aches and pains) especially those they're closest to, somewhat like sympathy pains.

7.

Digestive disorders and lower back problems: The solar plexus chakra is based in the centre of the abdomen and it's

known as the seat of emotions.

This is where empaths feel the incoming emotion of another, which can weaken the area and eventually lead to anything

from stomach ulcers to IBS (too many other conditions to list here).

Lower back problems can develop from being ungrounded (amongst other things) and one,

who has no knowledge of them being an empath, will almost always be ungrounded.

8.

Always looking out for the underdog: Anyone whose suffering, in emotional pain or being bullied draws an empath's

attention and compassion.

9.

Others will want to offload their problems on you, even strangers: An empath can become a dumping ground for everyone

else's issues and problems, which, if they're not careful can end up as their own.

10.

Constant fatigue: Empaths often get drained of energy, either from energy vampires or just taking on too much from

others, which even sleep will not cure.

Many get diagnosed with ME.

11.

Addictive personality: Alcohol, drugs, sex, are to name but a few addictions that empaths turn to,

to block out the emotions of others.

It is a form of self protection in order to hide from someone or something.

12.

Drawn to healing, holistic therapies and all things metaphysical: Although many empaths would love to heal others they

can end up turning away from being healers (even though they have a natural ability for it),

after they've studied and qualified, because they take on too much from the one they are trying to heal.

Especially if they are unaware of their empathy.

Anything of a supernatural nature is of interest to empaths and they don't surprise or get shocked easily.

Even at the revelation of what many others would consider unthinkable, for example,

empaths would have known the world was round when others believed it was flat.

13.

Creative: From singing, dancing, acting, drawing or writing an empath will have a strong creative streak and a vivid

imagination.

14.

Love of nature and animals: Being outdoors in nature is a must for empaths and pets are an essential part of their life.

15.

Need for solitude: An empath will go stir-crazy if they don't get quiet time.

This is even obvious in empathic children.

16.

Gets bored or distracted easily if not stimulated: Work, school and home life has to be kept interesting for an empath

or they switch off from it and end up daydreaming or doodling.

17.

Finds it impossible to do things they don't enjoy: As above.

Feels like they are living a lie by doing so.

To force an empath to do something they dislike through guilt or labelling them as idle will only serve in making them

unhappy.

It's for this reason many empaths get labelled as being lazy.

18.

Strives for the truth: This becomes more prevalent when an empath discovers his/her gifts and birthright.

Anything untruthful feels plain wrong.

19.

Always looking for the answers and knowledge: To have unanswered questions can be frustrating for an empath and they

will endeavour to find an explanation.

If they have a knowing about something they will look for confirmation.

The downside to this is an information overload.

20.

Likes adventure, freedom and travel: Empaths are free spirits.

21.

Abhors clutter: It makes an empath feel weighed down and blocks the flow of energy.

22.

Loves to daydream: An empath can stare into space for hours, in a world of their own and blissfully happy.

23.

Finds routine, rules or control, imprisoning: Anything that takes away their freedom is debilitating to an empath even

poisoning.

24.

Prone to carry weight without necessarily overeating: The excess weight is a form of protection to stop the negative

incoming energies having as much impact.

25.

Excellent listener: An empath won't talk about themselves much unless it's to someone they really trust.

They love to learn and know about others and genuinely care.

26.

Intolerance to narcissism: Although kind and often very tolerant of others,

empaths do not like to be around overly egotistical people, who put themselves first and refuse to consider another's

feelings or points of view other than their own.

27.

The ability to feel the days of the week: An empath will get the 'Friday Feeling' if they work Fridays or not.

They pick up on how the collective are feeling.

The first couple of days of a long, bank holiday weekend (Easter for example) can feel, to them,

like the world is smiling, calm and relaxed.

Sunday evenings, Mondays and Tuesdays, of a working week, have a very heavy feeling.

28.

Will not choose to buy antiques, vintage or second-hand: Anything that's been pre-owned carries the energy of the

previous owner.

An empath will even prefer to have a brand new car or house (if they are in the financial situation to do so) with no

residual energy.

29.

Sense the energy of food: Many empaths don't like to eat meat or poultry because they can feel the vibrations of the

animal (especially if the animal suffered), even if they like the taste.

30.

Can appear moody, shy, aloof, disconnected: Depending on how an empath is feeling will depend on what face they show to

the world.

They can be prone to mood swings and if they've taken on too much negative will appear quiet and unsociable,

even miserable.

An empath detests having to pretend to be happy when they're sad, this only adds to their load (makes working in the

service industry, when it's service with a smile, very challenging) and can make them feel like scuttling under a stone.

If you can say yes to most or all of the above then you are most definitely an empath.

Empaths are having a particularly difficult time at the present time,

picking up on all the negative emotions that are being emanated into the world from the populace.

The Jump that Changed Figure Skating Forever | Olympics on the Record - Duration: 6:11.

Winning gold. That's the aim.

But to secure immortality, you need something more.

And for an elite core of Olympians,

that means not just winning,

but securing the naming rights as well.

When a young American named Dick Fosbury

won a gold medal by going backwards over the high jump,

his revolutionary technique was known forever more as...

the Fosbury Flop.

And this is Olga Korbut.

She wowed the crowd with an amazing feet of daring.

Forever more, this was called the Korbut Flip.

In ice skating, Norway's Axel Paulsen

predated the Olympic Games,

but he left an important legacy that bears his name...

..the jump off the front skate, invented in 1882,

still known as the Axel.

The Nelly.

The full throttle reverse into your neighbour's car...

Jan! You promised you weren't going to mention that.

In the early part of the 20th century,

ice dancing was dominated by Sweden's Ulrich Salchow.

Does the name sound familiar?

Salchow won Olympic Gold at the London 1908 Olympic Games,

held in the summer

because the Winter Games hadn't been invented yet.

A master of the Axel,

Salchow created his own version of the jump,

springing off the back foot and landing on one skate.

This became known as the Salchow.

And when his fellow skaters observed the clever new trick,

they couldn't wait to give it a go.

Men, women, everyone was doing the Salchow.

Since then, these jumps have taken on a life of their own,

a dazzling and sometimes dangerous

demonstration of sport pushing the boundaries.

Not content with only the one Salchow,

skaters found ways to take it to another level.

They wanted to do it twice. The Double Salchow.

The first man to do it in competition

was Sweden's Gillis Grafstrom.

The Double Salchow

was the peak of achievement for the ambitious

ice dancer, but for some, two turns were not enough.

In a move that threatened the laws

of both biology and physics,

plans were afoot for an attempt on the Triple Salchow -

three complete turns in the air.

Ronald Robertson was the first to land the triple,

at the Cortina d'Ampezzo 1956 Olympic Winter Games.

Thereafter, the Triple Axel and the Triple Salchow

became fixtures of all the skating competitions.

Here's a real beauty

from American Brian Boitano at the 1988 Olympic

Winter Games in Calgary.

That helped win Boitano a gold medal,

but the result might have been different

had Kurt Browning been successful

with this outrageous attempt at a new move -

the Quadruple Salchow,

eventually known as "the quad".

Further failures followed four years later.

Michael Slipchuk was another

who slipped up while attempting to climb Quad Mountain.

Petr Barna of Czechoslovakia

took on a quad toe-loop at the Albertville 1992 Games.

A respectable effort,

but the two-footed landing slightly let him down.

Maybe fans seeking quad action

were looking in the wrong competition.

That same year, a young French

gymnast turned skater named Surya Bonaly

was aiming to dazzle

at her home Olympics.

Pretty amazing,

but everyone's a critic when it comes to figure skating,

and most felt the move was under-rotated.

Bonaly finished fifth.

American Michael Weiss landed

several quad jumps in competition.

But fitting a successful quad

into a full Olympic programme is harder than you think.

Russian rival Ilia Kulik made it look simple with this

outstanding quadruple execution.

The gold medal was his.

The quad was increasingly seen as the key to Olympic success.

Easier said than done.

At Salt Lake City 2002, Chinese figure skaters Shen Xue and

Zhao Hongbo were in the bronze-medal position

going into the free skate.

Something really special was needed to win gold,

and they had a plan - the throw Quadruple Salchow,

something never before achieved in Olympic competition.

Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo of China

are attempting to make history,

a thrown Quad Salchow, and here it comes.

Yes... No!

It was a failure, but a glorious failure.

Two skaters who won't die wondering.

They gave it everything they had

and richly deserved their bronze medal.

2002 became the year of the quad

and lighting up the men's event

was Timothy Goebel of the United States.

His execution of this

double quad sequence in his free skate

was close to perfection.

But while Goebel's Salchow scores were outstanding,

his overall display was judged

some way short of eventual winner

Alexei Yagudin of Russia.

Speed, technique, and a pretty good quad too.

A fitting tribute to Ulrich Salchow,

the man whose invention has spawned

so many glorious - and painful - moments of Olympic history.

Better meetings for better outcomes - the hidden costs of unproductive meetings - Duration: 1:50.

We all go to meetings we think are never- ending, boring, pointless and unproductive

But really these meetings have a downside more important than your aching butt-cheeks

- they're very expensive!

Hello again! Michi from agile attitude and thanks for tuning in.

Today, we won't talk about how to improve your meetings,

but rather why you really should improve them

According to a recent Atlassian study, we're all spending around 31 hours a month in meetings.

At an average salary of $39 dollars per hour, that's a whopping $1209 per person!

Think about that for a second. At an average of 5 people per meeting, that's $6045 per month you're leaving in your meeting room!

So let's assume half of your meetings don't have feasible outcomes.

That's a loss of over $600 per person or $3,000 a month!

Multiply that by 12 months, and the cost quickly adds up to $36,000 per year!

And that's not including the additional cost associated

with unmotivated staff, unhappy customers, ("You what? Are you for real? Is this... Seriously?!)

... and whatever you pay your therapist... or bartender... to cope with both

Of course you could just stop doing meetings all together and hope that communication and

collaborative decision-making "just happen"

Unfortunately... they won't.

But all is not lost. For a fraction of the money you waste on ineffective meetings,

you can not only ensure your meetings become more productive,

but upskill your staff with essential collaboration, communication and planning skills,

which will increase your productivity in and out of the boardroom

Give us a shout today - you can call email or drop us a message on Facebook

and chat about how we can help you kick your productivity up a gear!

BREAKING: NFL Issues Horrifying Veterans Day Announcement, This Is Nasty. - Duration: 3:24.

BREAKING: NFL Issues Horrifying Veterans Day Announcement, This Is Nasty.

Ahead of Veterans Day, Americans think of the brave souls who put everything on the

line for the freedom of all, and ways to celebrate them.

The National Football League came forward with their Veterans Day announcement, and

patriots around the country are not happy.

The protests across the NFL stem from Colin Kaepernick's kneeling during the national

anthem for racial injustice and police brutality.

His stance, all but forgotten and seen as a cry for attention, was left in the dust

— until recently.

Now, according to The Washington Times, the NFL announced this Saturday that there would

be "no change" to their kneeling policy despite threats of a Veterans Day boycott

over Sunday's games.

In light of the events, a Facebook page sprung up called "Boycott the NFL."

They have over 227,000 followers and have a stern message for the NFL.

They asked supporters to turn off the games on Sunday in order to stand "in solidarity

with veterans around the country."

At the same time, a group called 2nd Vote suggested that fans "stiff-arm the NFL"

by protesting Sunday's games.

"We're sending the National Football League, its corporate sponsors, and the television

networks a message this Veterans Day weekend!" 2nd Vote wrote.

"Americans are sick of the disrespectful National Anthem protests that the NFL has

not only allowed to continue, but has institutionalized in pregame ceremonies.

Their message touched many Americans, and users said they would protest the games.

In fact, 22,000 said that they will not be watching the football games this Sunday.

This did not discourage the NFL from conducting business as usual.

The NFL and the NFLPA released a joint statement claiming that there would be no change to

the current anthem policy.

As of right now, the policy reads that players "should" stand for the national anthem.

However, as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell noted, they don't have to stand.

There are no consequences for failing to stand.

The real issue Americans are grappling with is this — why is this even a discussion?

Players should want to respect the veterans who made it possible for them to stand on

that turf.

Instead, the players are kneeling and sending a muddied message that lost all of its meaning.

Some said they were kneeling to fight against racism, others said they wanted to protest

President Donald Trump.

What, exactly, is the point?

The NFL protests have become too watered down.

Many Americans wonder how it is effective to kneel during the national anthem on Veterans

Day, and disrespecting the people who fought for our freedom.

Most would argue that it isn't effective at all.

Goodell has a meeting scheduled with NFLPA executive director, DeMaurice Smith, during

next week's league meeting.

He claims that they will be discussing "important social issues," which begs the question:

what NFL social issue is more important than this one?

Despite the fact that there will be some players who still protest, others have swallowed their

pride.

About half a dozen Seattle Seahawks players — who typically kneel — stood for the

flag Thursday when a call of support for the military on Veterans Day rang out.

What do you think about this?

UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE #3 | Dolan True Stories - Duration: 10:13.

Empaths can become lost in the music, to the point of being in a trance-like state;

they become one with the music through the expression of their physical bodies.

The Freedom of Seeds | Slow Food Mexico Heirloom Beans | The Recipe Hunters - Duration: 7:52.

We are children of farmers.

Since we were kids we planted corn and beans.

My school vacations were comprised of sun and land.

The school break coincided with

the planting season in the field.

At some point in our lives,

we left our community to work in other careers

because culturally, life on the farm is perceived

as poor and without dignity.

We left as youthful spirits to try to do something distinct

to improve our situation, and make our lives...

better.

But with our intention to leave farming behind

we realized that maybe...

the life we are searching for isn't better

than the life that we left behind.

Here when a new family was formed,

your parents gave you their seeds

They gave us their corn and beans,

that nutritional base, so that you could

survive, make it on your own, and have food.

At some point, the large companies,

made it so that we lost our agroecological ways of farming

They told the farmer, "your seed isn't good,

buy this seed, this is the good one

but look, for the seed to function really well,

I'll sell you this fertilizer,

Buy it!"

"Oh and you also want to control weeds,

and not work too much,

I'll sell you this weed-killer."

"Oh but now you want to harvest and work less,

I'll sell you this machine."

"And now you want to package your goods,

so that they don't go bad,

I'll sell you this venom to preserve them."

Seeds don't have owners.

We should have our own seeds

and not depend on someone

that comes to sell them to us and then says,

"I'm the owner of the seeds and you can't plant them anymore"

Because the seeds have always been free

and should continue being free.

We were quickly losing our eco-friendly ways and

I believe that what we did was recuperate the methods

that our grandparents & ancestors had already known.

We love our land, we love our corn, we love our beans

and we realized that we people

were doing something bad

and degrading and hurting what we loved most.

So we said, "No, we must change."

We must return to the land, return to the farm

but also show that you can have a life full of dignity

as a farmer.

Even more so, be producers of something so simple

yet so important in Mexico, as corn and beans.

We are now full time producers

and live completely off of what we grow.

Better yet, we want to sell and are selling here

in our community.

I don't want to sell outside

because my community needs to eat healthy,

not only the people from the cities

who have many resources to buy healthy food.

My name is Abel Rodríguez Ribera.

I'm from Tepetlixpa in Mexico State

and we are members of the cooperative called

Casa Tlalmamatla SC of RL.

My wife. How do I describe her? How do I envision her?

She is the spirit of this business.

She's the heart of this business.

She's the innovator.

This project would not exist without her.

There's a saying "behind every man exists a women"

No. Not here.

Here, she is in front.

Without her, this would not function.

My name is Emma Villanueva Buendía.

I'm 50 years old.

and I live in Tepetlixpa in the State of Mexico.

I'm a producer of corn and beans.

I make [traditional food products] from what we grow.

When we plant seeds,

we are depositing faith and hope.

We can't think about how much money we will harvest,

but only about how good it will taste.

These recipes are learned from "word to ear."

Which means, when you live in a community,

your mom, your grandparents, all of the community

cooks, works, or does it this way

so you learn from watching or from listening.

I studied nursing.

I am a nurse.

I worked as [a nurse]

and when I would come home dressed in all white,

pants, shoes, everything white

I would arrive, look for my mom, and find her

making tamales or tlacoyos

with a fire,

and all the smoke

and I'd say, "oh mommy,

why do you have to complicate life!?"

And now look who complicates life...

It's me

because I'm the one who makes the tamales, tlacoyos,

and all the tortillas.

My mom is now 89 years old.

And yes, I lived by her side,

I learned from her,

and believe I'm a part of her

and I like that.

I like feeling that I am a part of her.

For me, the most valuable thing about Slow Food

is the vision that they gave us.

We were given the chance to meet small and large producers

from Europe and Italy in particular

and we felt that we were identified as one of them

with a shared vision.

So we thought...

Borders don't exist.

Borders are a stupid human concept.

Because at the end of the day,

we live on the other side of the ocean

and are able to share ideas with people that we have never even seen before.

The important lesson here is

proving that there is a way.

That it's possible to eliminate the stereotype

that a small farmer...

lives poorly.

Through small projects and simple modifications

you can make a successful business

by changing one focus.

The production of this material has been made possible thanks to the contribution from the Ford Foundation.

Rock Stars Who Have Gorgeous Daughters - Duration: 6:34.

Male rock stars always seem to end up with the most beautiful women, so it makes sense

that a number of these guys have become fathers to some pretty stunning daughters.

Some of these ladies have followed in the footsteps of their famous dads and pursued

music, while others have branched off on different career paths.

Here are a few rockers with gorgeous daughters you may not know about.

Gavin Rossdale

The journey to fatherhood wasn't easy for Bush singer and guitarist Gavin Rossdale.

In fact, he didn't learn Daisy Lowe was his daughter until she was 14—and after he agreed

to do a paternity test.

As the story goes, Daisy is the result of a one-night-stand with friend Pearl Lowe,

who claims Gavin was difficult to pin down for the DNA test.

In 2015, Daisy, who's now a model, told the Guardian the paternity drama gave her mixed

emotions.

"I was so happy the day I found out Gavin was my dad.

I'd always looked up to him.

But it was still a s---show to get over it.

There's no handbook."

Phil Collins

She doesn't make too much of a fuss about it, but acclaimed actress Lily Collins is

the daughter of iconic '80s singer-songwriter and producer Phil Collins.

Lily insists that her famous connections didn't help her career, telling the Daily Mail,

"My dad never made a call on my behalf to anyone–not to a producer, a director or

a casting agent."

Fun fact: Phil's hit song, "You'll Be in My Heart," from the Disney's Tarzan, was written

for Lily, who grew up loving Disney.

"It was written as a lullaby to me when I was younger.

We grew up watching Disney shows and movies together, so that was his way of kind of being

able to do it for his kids."

Rod Stewart

Kimberly Stewart has made plenty of headlines, but few know about Rod Stewart's other daughters,

Ruby and Renee, seen here as kids in 2003.

Ruby began her career as a model in 2005, walking in London Fashion Week for Karen Walker.

After a brief stint in the fashion world, she branched out into music, following in

the footsteps of her father.

Today, she's part of the country-rock band The Sisterhood.

As for Renee, she's now a working model, she's signed to the Chadwick agency as of the making

of this video.

Lionel Richie

The former Commodores singer has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, and won

five Grammys and 16 American Music Awards.

Over time, the family name also grew synonymous with Lionel Richie's daughter, Nicole, who

took reality TV by storm with her pal Paris Hilton in The Simple Life.

In recent years, yet another Richie has stormed the Hollywood scene: Nicole's little sister

Sofia.

She stirred up a buzz when she was spotted with pop star Justin Bieber in Japan in August

2016, just days before her 18th birthday.

At one point, Sofia told Entertainment Tonight she wanted to be a singer.

For now, she's establishing a career as a model.

Billy Joel

The Piano Man's daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, is making her mark on the music industry,

as well.

The daughter of Billy Joel's ex-wife, model Christie Brinkley, Alexa has released a number

of singles over the years and an EP in 2006.

Alexa made headlines in 2009 when, after a bad breakup, she called 911 and reportedly

told the operator she took some pills, and wanted to end her life.

She was rushed to the hospital, but fortunately, the pills ended up being homeopathic, so they

were essentially impossible to overdose on.

"I wasn't trying to hurt myself.

I wasn't trying to off myself.

I was panicked.

I was not thinking clearly at all."

In recent years, Alexa has made headlines more in tune with her mom's profession than

her dad's.

She appeared in the star-making Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 2017.

Keith Richards

With his famously hedonistic lifestyle, you might be surprised that Rolling Stones guitarist

Keith Richards has been awfully strict with his two youngest daughters, models Theodora

and Alexandra Richards.

Theodora told the Sunday Times that the famous rocker didn't allow singing at the dinner

table, and the girls couldn't wear lipstick until they were 16, saying,

"When it came to boyfriends, he was usually great, but there were ones who were too scared

to talk to him or just too eager.

When I was 16, I'll never forget the time he said to one of them, 'Cut it out, or I'll

cut it off.'"

Bono

Born Paul David Hewson , U2's Bono is not only a rocker but a world-class philanthropist,

and his two daughters, Jordan and Eve Hewson, have begun forging their own paths.

According to Fortune, Jordan is a businesswoman and an entrepreneur in the tech field.

And Eve is making her mark in Hollywood, with roles in the TV series The Knick and in films

such as Bridge of Spies and Paper Year.

Gene Simmons

Sophie Simmons, daughter of KISS singer Gene Simmons, has been working to generate buzz

in the world of modeling and music.

When a 24-year-old Sophie stripped down to her bra and underwear for a lingerie ad campaign

in 2016, the Daily Mail reports her curves caused such a controversy about potential

Photoshopping that she addressed the issue in a since-deleted Instagram post, saying,

"Once you thought I was too fat, then too thin, now you think I'm fake…

I worked really hard for this body and I love it, that's all that matters."

In 2012, Sophie tried out for X Factor but was cut after auditions.

But she was persistent, and it paid off in 2015, when Sophie released a cover of Sixpence

None The Richer's "Kiss Me" on the record label that signed KISS decades ago.

Mick Jagger

The Rolling Stones frontman has eight kids with five different women, including daughter

Georgia May Jagger, whose mother is model and actress Jerry Hall.

Georgia is making a name for herself through modeling gigs with Hudson Jeans and Tommy

Hilfiger.

In 2010, she described Mick Jagger's parenting style to Harper's Bazaar.

"He always wanted me to do my best.

I'm quite dyslexic in school.

My dad let me figure out what I wanted to do on my own.

My parents never really lecture me."

As for her head-turning style, she says she sometimes raids her parents' closets, but,

only for the, quote, "'60s and '70s stuff."

"My most treasured items are probably some of my mom's clothes from Studio 54.

I've got a pair of sort of mirrored hot pants that she used to wear when she was my age,

and yeah, they're probably my favorite."
