Measuring quality: sensitive crystallisation

Hi everyone, I'm Alessandro Zilli

Head of Research and Development at 32 Via dei birrai

and I wanted to say a couple of words about sensitive crystallisation.

Crystallisation is an analysis method using images

which was developed in the Thirties by Dr Pfeiffer

and it is used to measure the quality of the foodstuffs

or products we are examining.

We use sensitive crystallisation because

when determining the quality of a product

analysing just the vitamins, mineral salts, fats and dissolved sugars is not enough.

We need more information, something we call the "life force".

All food we eat has a life force

which is generated by different factors.

The images produced during sensitive crystallisation analysis give us this information.

Everyone talks about the quality of food

but when determining the quality of products, hardly anyone is able to measure the actual quality.

Here at 32 we use this picture analysis method

because it gives us invaluable information

which helps us understand if we need

to make changes to our production process or our choice of raw materials

to ensure we maintain the quality standards of our products.

Reformation: Why Should I Care? Serving God - Duration: 3:31.

Just about every party I've ever gone to,

every social event where I interact with other people,

they ask me this question,

what do you do for work?

And maybe it's because we're so wrapped up in our identity

and what we do that I kind of avoid that question

when I talk to people,

I kind of wait until the end of the conversation

before I bring it up,

just to see if they'll bring it up,

and invariably, every single time they do.

There was a deeper question that they asked

during the time of the reformation.

They wanted to know what is Godly work?

What is valuable work?

Can I be a stay-at-home mom and be serving God?

Can I be a lawyer and serve God?

Can I be a police officer and serve God?

Can I milk cows and be serving God?

Or is the only way to really, truly be serving God

is to work directly in the church as a pastor

or a priest or a monk or a nun?

And so, they were battling with this

and they came from that time, a renewed sense of vocation

a renewed sense that is summarized in this

Collassians, chapter three, whatever you do,

whether in word or deed, do it all in the name

of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God

the Father through him.

God is saying no matter what you do, you can serve me.

So, the gist of vocation is this,

God has given you specific gifts,

God has given you specific abilities,

and it does not matter if you're a pastor

or a teacher or a farmer

or a factory worker.

You choose the abilities and the calling

that God has given you and the way that you serve God

is by serving other people.

I think one of my favorite understandings of this

is in the movie, Chariots of Fire,

one of my favorite movies and one of my favorite scenes,

Eric Liddell is training to either be a missionary

or he's gonna go to the Olympics

and he's at this kind of position and he doesn't know

what to do, and his sister comes to him

and wanted him really to be a missionary,

but this is what he says,

I believe God made me for a purpose,

but he also made me fast and when I run

I feel His pleasure.

I don't know what God has made you to do,

but I know God made you for a purpose.

He may have made you to be a stay-at-home mom

or a father or a teacher or a doctor or a baker

or someone who drives truck.

It does not matter.

The way you serve God is not dreaming about other jobs.

The way that you serve God is taking the gifts

God has given you, doing the best that you can,

and loving Him by serving the people.

Let's pray.

Heavenly Father, we each have unique gifts,

we each have a unique calling,

and we pray that we are able to find those gifts

and appreciate the gifts you've given us.

We don't want jealous hearts

that seek after other's abilities,

but instead, cultivate the things you've given us

and do our very best through faith in Christ

to serve you every single day of our life,

every single morning and every single night.

That's what we do for work,

we serve other people, Amen.

Heart Palpitations Causes and Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome - Duration: 5:48.

This is Dr. Lam, founder of DrLam.com and the Adrenal Fatigue Center.

A very frequent question that I'm exposed to, among adrenal fatigue sufferers is,

why would they have palpitations in the heart, as well as, the sensation of the heart pounding.

This is often exaggerated during exercise or even at rest from time to time.

The causes of palpitations are many.

Most frequently, we think of it as a cardiac event.

Indeed it is.

But there are many, many reasons that cause the heart to palpitate abnormally.

Now remember, when the heart is beating normally, you don't feel it.

It is an automatic event.

So the fact that you can even feel the heart either beating harder, pounding, or irregular

or dropping beat, means that there is an abnormal sequencing that is going on.

This process is commonly experienced the more advanced the person is in adrenal fatigue

and for good reasons.

Now let's take a step back.

When a person has adrenal fatigue, the body's ability to manufacture cortisol to overcome

stress-related demands are reduced.

When this happens over a period of time and the body is unable to compensate, then eventually

the body feels that it is in danger or survival.

When this happens, the body then activates the flight or fight response and commonly,

the hormones responsible for this is norepinephrine as well as epinephrine.

Epinephrine is also commonly called adrenaline.

When these two hormones are released, first the noradrenaline comes off in the brain and

it stays around in the brain as a neurotransmitter causing us to be alert.

It also goes to the peripheral circulation.

It goes to the heart and causes a pounding sensation.

It's for a good reason.

It's designed to help the body prepare for running away in the time of stress.

Remember also there's another hormone called epinephrine and this is released from the

adrenal glands under the direction of the HPA hormonal axis.

When epinephrine comes out, it goes to the muscles, helps the gut, helps the heart beat

in order to carry out the physical running away activities.

When you want to run away from stress, as our ancestors had to in the old times, your

heart has to beat fast.

When your heart has to beat fast, sometimes it is not used to it and you can have palpitations.

This is a very common event.

There are many structural cardiac problems that can also cause palpitations.

You have to be careful.

The first thing you have to do, if you do experience this type of event, is to see a regular doctor

and make sure that your heart doesn't have any problems such as congestive heart failure,

node problems, and other structural problems that can be the reason.

Metabolic problems, as well as, anemia can also be problematic as well as thyroid imbalances.

If your body is all checked out and your doctor tells you that everything is fine and you

feel palpitations especially during exercise, then it's important to think outside the

box and see what are the possible other reasons.

When your heart is normal, then you have to look for causes that are giving the command

signal to the heart for it to palpitate.

Oftentimes you will find, if you are in a very stressful situation, that there may be adrenal

fatigue involved.

Adrenal fatigue is not recognized by conventional medicine as yet because it is quite convoluted.

A class of symptoms oftentimes can defy medical logic.

But if you really understand the physiology of how the adrenal is responsible for controlling

stress and how it can relate to the heart and causes palpitations, then you will be

able to slowly trace through the situation.

Palpitations, if it is from an adrenal perspective, is actually a warning sign.

It is the body's warning to you that the heart is under pressure to perform certain

functions.

This is part, in partial, of the exercise, so to say, that the body goes through.

You should not be overly concerned once everything has been checked up by your cardiologist.

But take the time to really understand adrenal fatigue and you will find there's good reason

for the heart to behave the way it does.

Take some time, do it slow, and learn because ultimately, that's going to help you understand.

Once you understand, you will not be held hostage by these palpitations when it's

not cardiac related.

Eating out is convenient, not to mention sometimes better tasting, but putting your nutrition

in another chef's hands often leads to more added fat, salt and calories.

Sit down on Sunday and meal plan for the week so you have all the ingredients you need for

your healthy meals and won't be tempted by take-out.

Switch hands Put that fork in your non-dominant hand and

you're likely to eat more slowly—which could also result in eating less.

Turn down the heat Keep your thermostat at about 61 to 63 degrees

Fahrenheit and you may encourage fat burning.

showing people who spent two hours a day for six weeks in a 63-degree room burned more

energy than those who spent time in warmer temps.

Take smaller bites Scarfing down a meal in three huge bites quickly

relieves hunger, but it might also cause you to eat more.

According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, people who took large bites of

food consumed 52 percent more calories in one sitting than those who took small bites.

Eat a big breakfast Studies show that big breakfast eaters are

more likely to lose weight and reduce their waistline circumference than those who eat

a large dinner.

"The benefits go beyond pounds and inches.

People who eat like a king in the morning have better blood sugar control, healthier

hunger hormone regulation, more energy for work and workouts, and sharper cognitive function,

Feast your eyes on fruits and veggies England's University of Leeds found that people

eat fewer calories (and make better choices) after seeing shots of nutritious food.

Fill your Instagram feed with images of wholesome salads, fruits and heart-healthy meals and

scroll through regularly to program your cravings towards nourishing nibbles.
