Do Animals Mourn Their Dead? - Duration: 2:44.
Other animals are more like us than you might expect.
Some can recognize faces or use tools, and a puppy wagging its tail seems like it's
showing some sort of emotion.
Or maybe you've seen videos of elephants reacting strangely to dead herd members, almost
like they're mourning.
But it's hard for us to know what they're really doing, and why.
We can't know if or how animals understand death, but some anthropologists have come
up with a basic way to define grief: it's a change in behavior in living creatures that
knew the deceased.
And while this is one way to define grief in humans, it's also a useful guideline
for scientists who are trying to understand grief in nonhuman animals.
Now, these researchers are looking for behavioral changes that go beyond checking out or getting
rid of a corpse, such as an animal switching up its daily routine or showing what looks like distress.
Some animals are all business, and we haven't noticed any signs of grief from them.
Lions, for example, will casually eat their dead companions rather than pass up some easy calories.
And for animals like bees and naked mole rats that live in dense colonies, hygiene is a big concern.
These species tend to quickly dispose of dead bodies, or at least seal them away from the
living, to avoid exposure to decay and disease.
Crows and jays, part of a bird family called corvids, gather near dead flockmates in what
can almost look like a noisy wake.
But some ornithologists think that they might just be alerting other survivors and investigating
how their companion died, to learn about possible threats.
With so many different responses to death, it can be hard to tell which species might
go beyond pragmatism and experience grief.
But some of the likely suspects are mammals known for their intelligence.
Elephants have been documented to show strong reactions to the remains of their dead, while
ignoring the bodies of most other animals.
They may gently touch and investigate an elephant corpse, stay with it for days, or detach the
tusks and carry them up to a half a mile away.
There are even some cases where elephants covered their dead with dirt and plant matter.
And none of this is really normal behavior.
Elephants, apes, baboons, and dolphins have all been observed carrying dead infants for
days, even as they start to decay.
In fact, dolphins have been known to guard carcasses so aggressively that they've kept
researchers from getting close.
Captive chimpanzees have reacted to the death of a group member by becoming quiet and subdued,
or vocalizing frantically.
Which kind of seems like distress.
And monkeys and lemurs have also been observed making distinct sounds, and visiting a dead
body many times.
So sometimes the ways in which animals react to death remind us of, well, us.
And sometimes they don't.
It's tricky to study things like emotion and intelligence in other animals.
But it's not too surprising that humans aren't the only species who notice when
someone vanishes from our lives.

BREAKING: Tragic News About Ben Carson Just In – Stop Everything And Do This For Him Right Now. - Duration: 6:08.
BREAKING: Tragic News About Ben Carson Just In – Stop Everything And Do This For Him
Right Now.
Most of us already know the rags to riches story of renowned surgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson.
His background was given a thorough going over when he was running for President against
President Trump, and there was never so much as even a discrepancy found.
Carson didn't have anything to hide because he didn't have anything that he was ashamed
of.
Raised by a single mother in the bad part of town, with gang wars happening around him
every day, he will tell you that parts of his childhood were dark.
But the one single beacon, representing everything that was good and right hardworking was his
mother.
He credits her with everything that is good in his life because she refused to let him
become a statistic.
She made him work, and she made him read.
The working helped him succeed, and the reading helped him write.
Yesterday, Carson wrote something, just for her.
On Monday, Sonya Carson crossed over to the other side, and her son, know the world over
for not only his intelligence but his work ethic and his wisdom, wrote this for his mother.
If you have the time to read this, please remember his mother's legacy, and say a
prayer for the family who loved her.
"Today, November 6, 2017, we lost my dear mother, Sonya Carson.
Although she came from an impoverished background with very little formal education, she somehow
understood how success was achieved in our society.
If anyone had a reason to make excuses, it was her, but she absolutely refused to be
a victim and would not permit us to develop the victim mentality either.
Whenever we made an excuse, she quoted the poem "Yourself to Blame."
The poem is included in this post.
May she rest in peace.
Yourself to Blame by Mayme White Miller.
If things go bad for you, And make you a bit ashamed,
Often you will find out that, You have yourself to blame.
Swiftly we ran to mischief, And then the bad luck came,
Why do we fault others?
We have ourselves to blame.
Whatever happens to us, Here is what we say,
"Had it not been for so-and-so, Things wouldn't have gone that way.
And if you are short of friends, I'll tell you what to do,
Make an examination, You'll find the faults in you.
You are the captain of your ship, So agree with the same,
If you travel downward, You have yourself to blame.
We're all going to be remembered for something.
Maybe it's what we do, maybe it's what we say, or maybe it's who we raise.
If Sonya Carson was looking for something to hang her reputation on, I would say that
she did a lovely job with her son Ben and his understanding of personal responsibility.
She didn't have a lot to offer, monetarily, but there are things that don't cost money;
reading and memorizing what you read are two of them.
Another is taking the time to invest in your children.
Carson has fond memories of his mother because she spent time with him, and not just doing
whatever he wanted, she invested what was important in him, even if it made him mad,
or her uncomfortable.
She did the right thing for him, and it paid off.
Here are just a few of Ben Carson's credits from his Facebook bio.
In 2001, Dr. Carson was named by CNN and TIME Magazine as one of the nation's 20 foremost
physicians and scientists.
That same year, he was selected by the Library of Congress as one of 89 "Living Legends."
He is also the recipient of the 2006 Spingarn Medal which is the highest honor bestowed
by the NAACP.
In February, 2008, Dr. Carson was presented with the Ford's Theatre Lincoln Medal by
President Bush at the White House.
In May 2008, Dr. Carson was the inaugural recipient of a professorship dedicated in
his name when he became the Benjamin S. Carson, Sr., M.D. and Dr. Evelyn Spiro, R.N.
Professor of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins College of medicine.
In June, 2008, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest civilian
honor in the land.
Dr. Carson was recognized in November, 2008 by U.S. News & World Report and by Harvard's
Center for Public Leadership as one of "America's Best Leaders."
On February 7, 2009, the award-winning movie entitled "Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story,"
based on Dr. Carson's memoirs and starring Cuban Gooding Junior , premiered on TNT.
Dr. Carson holds more than 60 honorary doctorate degrees and has received literally hundreds
of awards and citations.
He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Institute of Medicine/National
Academy of Science, the Horatio Alger Society of Distinguished Americans, and many other
organizations.
He sits on the board of directors of numerous entities, including Kellogg Company, Costco
Wholesale Corporation, the Academy of Achievement, and is an Emeritus Fellow of the Yale Corporation,
the governing body of Yale University.
He was appointed in 2004 by President George W. Bush to serve on the President's Council
on Bioethics.
He is a highly regarded speaker who has addressed various audiences from schools and civic groups
to corporations, and has spoken twice during the President's National Prayer Breakfast,
in 1997 and again in 2013.
Dr. Carson's first four books, "Gifted Hands", "THINK BIG", "The Big Picture"
and "Take the Risk: Learning to Identify, Choose and Live with Acceptable Risk" (January,
2008), provide inspiration and insight for leading a successful life; a fifth book, "America
The Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made This Nation Great", was released in early 2012
and made the New York Times Bestseller List in 2013.
His sixth book, "One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America's Future" was released
on May 20, 2014 and has also made the New York Times Bestseller List.
Sonya Carson did her job well.
May she now rest in peace.
All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother – Abraham Lincoln.

Aortic Dissection - causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, pathology - Duration: 5:26.
An aortic dissection is where part of the tunica intima (which is the endothelial, or
the innermost layer of a blood vessel) of the aorta is ripped off.
What happens is a tear in the tunica intima of the aorta forms, and the high-pressured
blood flowing through the aorta begins to tunnel between the tunica intima and the tunica
media, separating the two layers.
This is widely accepted as an unideal situation.
Now as the high-pressured blood continues to shear more and more of the tunica intima
off the tunica media, blood starts to pool between the two layers, increasing the outside
diameter of the blood vessel.
The area where blood collects between the tunica intima and the media is called a false
lumen, and the true lumen is the regular lumen of the blood vessel.
Since high pressure is a cause of aortic dissection, it's no surprise that the aorta is the prime
target for this problem.
So what causes aortic dissections?
Well, chronic hypertension is the major cause, whether the hypertension is caused by stress
or from increased blood plasma volume like in pregnancy.
Blood vessel coarctation, which is the narrowing of a blood vessel, also can cause dissection.
Aortic dissections most often happen in the first 10 cm of the the aorta closest to the
heart.
In order for an aortic dissection to occur, an underlying condition usually has to exist
that weakens the aorta's wall.
Connective tissue disorders like Marfan's and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome can cause a dissection,
as well as a decreased blood flow to the vasa vasorum.
Aneurysms can be a cause of aortic dissection as well, and incidentally dissection can also
cause aneurysms because again, the dissection weakens the blood vessel wall.
In other words, weak walls can lead to outpouching of the blood vessel or a break in the tunica
intima, and both of these weaken the walls further.
Aortic dissections cause a whole wack load of other problems too.
A lot of complications are related to where the blood in the false lumen flows.
The blood could flow back up the aorta to the heart and enter the heart's pericardial
space, filling it with blood and causing pericardial tamponade, a really really bad and potentially
fatal situation.
The blood flowing through the false lumen could also puncture a hole through the tunica
media and tunica externa and bleed into the mediastinum, which would kill you really fast
cause that's a lot of blood leaving the vascular system quickly.
The tunneling blood could also puncture a hole in the tunica intima and return into
the true lumen which isn't great but hey all things considered, it could be worse.
Yet another possibility is the blood could continue to tunnel between the tunica intima
and the tunica media until it reaches another artery that branches off the aorta, like the
renal arteries or the subclavian arteries.
The blood in the false lumen can put pressure on these branching arteries decreasing blood
flow to the kidneys and arms, causing a whole new mess to deal with.
The main symptoms of aortic dissection are sharp chest pains that often radiate to the
back.
A person might also develop weak pulses in downstream arteries like the brachial or femoral
arteries or sometimes there may be differences in blood pressure between the left and right
arm.
An aortic dissection is an emergency, because it can lead to hypotension, or low blood pressure
as well as shock if there's rupture and significant blood loss.
On a chest X-ray, there's typically a widened aorta.
More sensitive imaging techniques that are commonly used include a transesophageal echocardiogram,
which is where an ultrasound probe is passed through the esophagus to obtain a clear picture
of the aorta.
There's also CT angiography and magnetic resonance angiography - both of which look
closely at the blood vessels.
An aortic dissection needs to be treated immediately.
Often this is done surgically, where a surgeon takes out as much of the dissected aorta as
possible and blocks the entry of blood into the wall of the aorta.
The aortic wall is then reconstructed with synthetic graft, and sometimes that graft
is propped open with a wire mesh stent.
Beyond surgery, blood pressure medications, like beta blockers may be given to reduce
blood pressure.
Alright … as a quick recap.
An aortic dissection is where blood tunnels between the tunica intima and the tunica media,
separating the two layers and creating a false lumen.
This a rare condition that is most often happens with a history of high blood pressure, connective
tissues disorders and aneurysms.
An aortic dissection can lead to emergency situations like cardiac tamponade and shock
and should be treated immediately.

Full Tour of our Self Built Camper Van - Campervan Tubi - Duration: 18:40.
Hello everyone.
Today, finally..
We're do a full walk through of Tubi.
A lot of people have been requesting us to do a tour.
So today we're going do a tour.
So let's open the door and take a look.
Tada!
First let's take a look at
the step to get in.
It was originally covered with plastic.
But we took it off
and placed this coil rubber mat.
And along the edges we attached rubber guards.
Afterwards
there is more space
Let me put my shoes in here.
My shoes fit perfectly.
Now let's step inside.
Take of my shoes.
It's warm in here.
When your inside Tubi
It's pretty warm.
For these windows on the sliding door.
We were going to hang the curtains on a wire.
Attached from here to here.
That was the original plan.
But if we used the wire
it would snag our heads as we came in.
So we used a system with magnets.
I sewed neodymium magnets by hand.
I sewed them on top and bottom.
When you don't need them you can just pull them off.
They fit really snuggly and securely.
This curtain
And all the rest you see here.
All of these curtains.
I bought a sewing maching
and I made them all.
It's my first time to use a sewing machine.
So there are little mistakes here and there.
But overall they turned out pretty good.
And now I'm going to show you
This.
Take a look.
I uploaded a photo on Instagram yesterday.
These pockets I also sewed together myself.
I used a heavy waterproof fabric.
And stow some of our gear.
Camera gear.
A small tripod.
This is the switch for the lights.
In here I have some bowls and plates in here.
You know what this is right?
Wet wipes.
Now let's look at the sink.
This is how we made it.
Following the regulations
The water tank and gray tank
Need to be at least 10 liters (ours are 15 liters).
We thought a lot about the best way to access this area.
So we decided on using neodymium magnets.
Open it like this.
You can see them.. here.
On each corner.
And it closes just like this.
It just automatically fits into place.
For more about the sink
If you click on the 'i'
you can see how we built it.
This water pump...
Let me show you.
You can see the water right?
Some people were asking how we have a water pump
without a house battery.
It's a rechargeable water pump.
So after it's been charged you can use it.
On our last camping trip
How many days was it?
4 days I think.
We didn't have any problems on just one charge.
You can also turn it out of the way.
The water feeds through this tube to the tank.
This is the water tank... and gray tank.
Let's go inside again.
This is the mini box I had so much trouble with.
I cut these tiles to fit and then stuck them on.
Inside the mini box I have salt, pepper and cooking oil.
In the remaining space
I also put toothpaste, mouth wash
Also have dish washing soap and foam cleanser.
There is a light up here
But we normally use this light we got online.
They are usually light up the sink
But we can turn them and light up the back as well.
And this hole was a mistake
but it fits our hand soap nicely.
And this is our counter
to meet the regulation requirements.
There is a hidden secret to this.
Sometimes when we prepare coffee or tea
We can do it here.
But normally we take out these counter tops.
Let me show you.
Mark is going to help me out.
This counter top detaches.
Tada!
This one also.
There are two parts.
Let's take this outside.
We like to spend time outside.
Stare at the stars.
Have some hot tea.
At those times
The counter converts to
this.
Tada!
They turn into to tables.
So with just this piece
We have a counter inside (regulation requirement)
We can place our burner there to boil water.
And outside we use them as tables.
Because we can use them outside like this
We don't need to carry a separate outdoor table.
Because we can just pull them from the counter.
See what's left after pulling the counter tops.
This is the toilet.
People were asking where the toilet went.
Suddenly there's a counter instead.
viewers were wondering.
Now you know.
A lot of subscribers were asking about it.
You had a toilet...
This is real life.
Put it on silent.
Where was I?
Anyhow...
We normally pull out the countertop
when we get to a campsite.
And use this space for the toilet.
We often get asked if the toilet smells.
It doesn't.
I was also really worried about it.
There is a chemical we use with the toilet.
We bought some in Japan.
And there's no smell.
If anything, the chemical makes it smell nicer.
Next to it you have a garbage bin.
Just in case it might smell
we used a lock-n-lock container
You know the Lock-N-Lock brand.
There completely sealed.
And over here you have
a tiny storage spot.
We put simple thing in here.
Here you have coffee and tea.
Some cups.
Up here to give a cozy feel
we placed string lights.
Now I'm in the back.
This is our bed space
as well as our work space.
All of these cushions were hand made.
We ordered the foam to size online.
Then I got some fabric to make covers.
This is canvas.
And then I sewed all of them myself.
I'll show you the bed later.
Let's look at he cabinet first.
It's a bit messy now.
This is the cabinet.
We have some snacks and instant food.
And
we also have the toilet chemicals I talked about earlier.
We used up the stuff we got in Japan.
So now we are using these packets.
Unlike the sliding door
The curtains here we made differently.
You can see the wire.
This window.
The rear window
this one and the one in front.
all use these wires.
So the curtain slides open and close along the wires.
They're connected by these turnbuckles.
So
If you want to tighten the wire just turn the turnbuckle.
Or if it's toot taught you can loosen it.
Next to the cabinet is a garbage bin.
Right here.
This is also Lock-n-Lock.
They're all sealed
They have this rubber seal.
So no smells leak out.
So I really like these.
So now I've show you this area.
Now I'll show you how we convert it.
And also the hidden storage areas.
Now this is the table mode.
With this set up
when it's raining outside
We can set up the burner
We can have some tea and talk.
inside the van.
Also
because I'm doing YouTube.
Sometime when we need to do some video work
we might be at a campground.
This way we can do some work.
Normally you wouldn't build a table this big.
For us
we need to fit two laptops.
So we made this table extension.
I'll usually set up on this corner.
And Mark puts his laptop here.
For a small campervan like ours
This table is pretty huge.
So now
This is table mode.
Before it was in bed mode.
And now
for those rainy days
or when we don't want to set up the seats outside
I'll show you a mode.
This board
is the back rest when we are in table mode.
Now let me show you a fun mode.
Give me the cushion please.
Oh it's cold with the door open.
Now this mode is...
You saw it on our Instagram right?
Just open the back hatch
take in the view
And rest on this rear bench.
This third mode is like an outdoor bench.
I actually made the back curtains a little too long.
So when it's opened up it droops down like a canopy
Get it?
Maybe not.
The fabric droops down.
It wasn't on purpose
But I made them a little to long
so it ended up like that.
With the curtains drooping down
You get the vibe of being at a café terrace.
On the cabinet we place
cups with coffee, tea... and sometimes beer.
And now
you've seen all the different modes of our camper.
But you might be wondering about storage.
Let's me show you.
If you lift here.
Just folds over.
Underneath we have some stuff.
We put some bags.. kitchen towels in here.
We just have to move the cushions to access it.
This is a secret compartment.
We put things we don't want to see
or don't use much in here.
This is the wheel well that we insulated.
We could have just covered it.
But it seemed like a waste of space so we made this.
And we made this cover for it.
And
This part you can lift up.
We have our grill and chairs and other stuff.
This area can be access by lifting the board.
But you can access it from the back as well.
So this space is really convenient
to get things in and out.
This last seat also has storage underneath.
But you have to lift the table to access it.
And it can be a pain to do that.
I know I shouldn't be so lazy.
So this is how we use it.
We were going to cover this part.
This whole are was going to be covered.
But we can easily get things out through this space.
So we left it open.
We always keep our drinking water here.
Many people have asked
if we are going to paint the exterior of Tubi.
We can't say yet, but we are considering it.
But if we do...
We want to do it ourselves.
If we decide to do it we'll let you know in a video.
Or on Instagram or Naver Blog.
Also, we want to install a roof rack.
We'd like to do it within the next month or so.

How to grow a lemon house from a bone (part-5) "Selection of seedlings and their wintering" - Duration: 17:27.
How to grow a lemon at home?
(part - 5)
"Selection of the best seedlings and their successful wintering"
- An interesting specimen, but not suitable for the rootstock! -
- Already at this point it is clear what seedling is genetically good Developed, for use in further stocks -
- We do watering as the aridity of the soil, it should be abundant, excess water must go out through the drainage holes! -
- Sprinkling of leaves is usually done at the end of the day, you can Spray every day, if everything happens in a hot period! -
- In the future, after the formation of the plant, young lemon leaves can be added to black tea, pre-powder them with sugar -
- This is the new seedling of lemon, which I had during the summer from a large bone of a large fruit, grew in a separate container -
- In the middle of November, snow fell, the seedling is in a room greenhouse. From the uniform artificial light began to grow lateral branches -
- Top of the largest lemon seedling, in the cold period year began to branch in itself, without my assault -
- So, the selection of the three best seedlings for experiments was made -
- In the cold period of the year, it is not necessary to spray plants frequently, especially when bad heating and not particularly hot in the apartment -
- As you can see, the youngest seedling has grown considerably, it was necessary remove from the room greenhouse, as it did not fit in height -

The Switch BEFORE the Nintendo Switch? - Duration: 13:57.
Ah, yes my children, gather around and let me tell you a story of something only 90's
kids will remember.
Okay, maybe not only 90's kids, but let us travel in our minds to a simpler time, a time
when the era of big hair and cocaine fueled businessmen was ending.
flannel was just becoming a thing and America was just starting to get back into fart jokes.
It was the year 1989, and I was still living in my dads balls, still yet to blossom into
the beautiful smart guy you see before you.
but more importantly, it was the year things changed forever as Nintendo was getting ready
to launch it's newest and most innovative project yet, the Gameboy.
This is the Nintendo Gameboy, a simple piece of plastic roughly in the shape of a brick
boasting a stunning, non-backlit, 2,6 inch screen and a color palet of... greenish gray?
It has two action buttons, start and select, and a d-pad.
Seems pretty simple right?
WRONG!
See, this was a different time, people didn't have fancy smart phones, heck, the super nintendo
wasn't even out!
Most people didn't even know what heck the internet was yet!
They were dark days indeed, which certainly didn't help in seeing this little guy's
screen, but I digress.
It's hard to imagine that something so simple was set to change the world as we know it,
so let me give you a little background.
Before the Gameboy was released, there was no such thing as a handheld console like we
know today.
The best you could get is a single game dedicated device.
like tiger electronics handheld games! you remember "football" right?
Big hit in 1987.
Or for those super nerds out there, there was always the classic game and watch platforms.
But along with these boasting only one game, they were also kinda crappy!
There were only about six positions your character could move in, and the sound, UGH THE SOUND!
These tiger-type games were catching on in the 80's but after the launch of the gameboy
they became a huge market!
I'm sure you remember at least some of these bad boys, maybe they were cool in the mid
80's but after the miraculous high-tech marvel that was the gameboy you looked like a scrub
bringing one of those to school!
However, the GameBoy offered something totally new, multiple portable games which came in
the form of cartridges!
Something which became popular with the old atari models, NES, and sega master system.
Now you could truly game on the go!
You could be the gamer you always wanted to be and never stop hitting those buttons!
Well, I guess until it got dark in the car, or your batteries died.
Wait, what's a battery you say?
Well they're those little cylinders your dad puts in the TV remote so he can watch cable,
C'mon, you know!
Those little things he's always yelling at your mom about 'cause she steals them for
her toys?
Yeah, we used to use these to power things like boom-boxes, or walkie talkies.
And the gameboy took four!
Thankfully with the ancient power of these magical alkaline energy pills the new hand-held
device could last up to 30 hours!
From day 1 the gameboy filled a market with virtually no competition and it sold like
crazy!
Everyone had them, girls, boys, even grandparents!
With games like mario land and tetris at launch how could it not sell?
The world was wild about this console!
One thing that Nintendo has in the bag is simplicity...well, generally.
We may not always agree on everything, Nintendo and I, but I can respect their decisions when
it comes to marketing.
The gameboy is old yes, but the design, well the design is classic!
It has everything you need to have fun, two buttons and a d-pad.
Anything more and you get into a realm of convolution.
Nintendo believes in opening access to gaming to not only Quote unquote gamers, but also
to the public at large.
It's good for them cause money, but it's also good for the market because it brings in people
(and also money) that wouldn't have even bothered to try a video game.
Simplicity in game play is also a good thing to a certain degree, less buttons mean less
functions, which keeps games intuitive!
An Intuitive game means anyone can pick them up and have a good time.
Which means you can show someone your gameboy and they can try it out and not be automatically
turned off by obtuse control or harsh difficulty.
Now I'm not saying games shouldn't be challenging, but challenge and difficulty are different
things, and "hard" is a term thrown around a little too much these days.
A game that increases challenge fairly and is coupled with intuitive controls is all
you need.
Thankfully the gameboy had a lot of that!
So not only could you bring your games on the go but you could share games on the go,
this thing essentially sold itself!
But you can't talk about the gameboy without talking about tetris.
All that crap about intuitive control and challenging gameplay is what tetris is all
about.
It's not a confusing game, just make those lines people!
But what tetris created was a gateway into a larger gaming world for audiences that had
never even stepped foot through the door before.
Go ahead, go ask your mom or your grandpa what kind of video games they like, betcha
one of them answers tetris!
This may sound funny to you but tetris comes with a challenge, try putting the game on
the hardest difficulty, I guarantee you'll lose!
Bundling tetris as a pack in with the gameboy was a total genius move by nintendo.
A system that could be enjoyed by everyone universally, and a game that could be enjoyed
by everyone universally, a match made in handheld heaven.
However, all was not well for these 14 ounce bricks of fun.
You see, this was the age of the console wars and things were just heating up!
At the time Nintendo was heading the pack, their success with the NES had overshadowed
the failing atari and outsold the sega master system substantially, but the sega genisis
also launched in 1989 ushering in the new era of 16 bit gaming.
The gameboy, like it's counterpart the NES, was only an 8-bit system with no real color
to speak of.
But we found out that it didn't really matter in the end.
Even atari tried to take on the success of the gameboy with their respective handhelds,
the 8 bit sega game gear and the atari lynx.
The lynx boasted the first handheld color display and it was backlit!
The game gear followed that same path but also had the brand-new IP: Sonic The Hedgehog,
to back it up.
How could the gameboy compete with attitude and innovation like that, as well as new 16
bit consoles?!
The answer is price.
Both the lynx and the game-gear were priced well over $100 US while the gameboy was only
$89.95.
it had a larger library of games, and remember those battery thingies your mom needs so bad?
Those are expensive!
Nintendo's competitors each took six double As and they lasted only 5-6 hours before needing
more.
That's a significant difference in gaming time.
This taught the gaming world a new lesson, that price is valued over quality.
We would eventually see that lesson rear its ugly head again in the mid 2000's with the
xbox 360 and the ps3.
The latter being a significantly better console, but at double the price-point
of the former.
It wasn't until sony was able to drop their prices that their console started to compete.
Even the psp and playstation vita, which are both arguably better consoles than their competitor's,
were simply not able to maintain a competitive price point or library of games.
Nintendo has proved over and over that it's handheld business model cannot be beat.
These are just some of the many, MANY companies and consoles that tried to compete with the
superpower that is the nintendo handheld market, and every single one of them has failed.
So coolio, we could game on the go and the Gameboy model was super business savvy, but
what about this changing the world stuff I mentioned in the beginning?
Well, let me paint a picture for you.
By the time the 90's came around there wasn't a whole lot of what we see today as standard
tech devices.
Computers weren't a common thing in a household, heck, color TV was still catching on.
Phones were tied to the walls and had buttons, and there was no netflix!
Do you know what it was like trying to watch dragonball Z on cable?
If you missed an episode you were never going to see it again!
Never!
We were getting there, but nintendo and the gameboy were trying to advance in ways we
didn't quite understand yet.
The link cable in particular is an extremely early example of mobile connectivity.
With it you could hook your gameboy up to your friend's system and play two player wherever
you wanted.
There was also the gameboy camera and printer, a mobile digital camera which allowed you
to take, edit, and print out selfies!
This simply hadn't been done yet, and cell phones where miles away from being what they
are today, I mean, LOOK AT THIS!
There was also the factor of customization.
By 1995 nintendo had released multiple color variations of the original gameboy.
the smaller gameboy pocket was on its way, as well as the gameboy color which dropped
in 1998.
The idea of not only having a hand-held gaming system, but having one that matched your American-ass
individuality was something new as well!
Until that point special edition consoles where virtually unheard of.
However this personalization tactic worked so well nintendo continues to utilize it in
their home consoles and handhelds to this day!
But if you take a second to look around you, everything is personalized now, especially
mobile phones.
In fact, there are companies around the world that solely create things like grips, and
cell phone cases to make your products that much more, "you".
Even Nintendo has tried to cash in harder with interchangeable 3DS plates and customizable
home themes on their DS line of systems.
It's crazy how something so unimportant as a color option could have such a global effect
on sales!
Even Apple, Dell, and HP PC's and laptops have attempted this genius move!
Personally, I had a green gameboy color and pokemon red was- basically my first game.
I don't count you wario land!
You sucked and I hate you!
Get out of here!
My best friend growing up, and one of the founding members of Treesicle, Tyler, had
a teal GBC and pokemon blue to go with it.
We used to battle and trade, bring our systems to school and on vacations, everyone was doing
it man!
It was a total phenomenon!
It also didn't hurt the gameboy's success to have the
greatest handheld games of all time as exclusives.
Pokemon and gameboy have always gone hand in hand.
The main reason for this, is the game's creator Satoshi Tajiri was adamant that pokemon needed
to be an active and communal experience.
The core gameplay of trading and battling was inspired by his love for catching bugs
as child.
Tajiri-san wanted to make sure that kids were able to get the same experiences he had virtually
with his game, and it worked!
We used to have pokemon parties and competitions over the gameboy link cable at friend's houses
and even at school.
They were good times...
But there are people out there who have made lifelong friends, or even ended up marrying
each other because pokemon brought them together!
That's another success of mobile gaming: connectivity.
Being able to stay connected to not only your game, but also its community on the go was
a huge change in gaming culture.
Instead of sitting down, playing on your genesis alone in your mom's basement, you could go
out with your gameboy!
Seeing another person with the device instantly connected you in a way that was previously
unimagined, there was an instant silent communication of "hey, I'm into that too!"
Nowadays the mobile gaming market generates more money than console and pc gaming COMBINED.
And it all started with this little guy.
The concept of putting a game on a cell phone was adapted early on, but without the gameboy
would we have had things like snake, or mobile tetris?
Without the gameboy would tetris have even become the 30.6 million seller that it is
today?
The answer is probably not.
But thankfully that's not the way history decided to turn and instead we've had amazing
mobile games flooding the market for almost 30 years!
With advancements on the gameboy's technology we now have fully backlit HD 60fps gaming
that's literally in the palm of your hands.
You can even talk to a friend and play zelda on your phone at the same time.
Throughout it's incredibly long lifetime the Nintendo gameboy and its counterpart the gameboy
color sold 118 million units worldwide, an amazing feat for any gaming console.
It ushered in a new era of technology and its lineage is by far the best selling and
most dominant handheld line of gaming systems to this day.
And the new nintendo switch has taken a brand-new direction of a handheld console hybrid, planting
its feet in a brand-new market once again.
However, (more importantly) what the gameboy proved is that we want things on the go.
At least in America, we tend to be busy, and we also travel a lot.
The advent of being able to electronically entertain ourselves wherever we were was a
serious game changer.
It brought about a whole new generation of technology.
I mean think about it, the gameboy is basically a low-quality NES shrunk way down and powered
by batteries.
And smart phones are just lower quality computers shrunk down and powered by batteries.
In fact, as time and technology has progressed we've continually been making things better,
smaller, and more mobile to suit our needs as consumers and active people.
You could argue that the pocket calculator may have been the first example of mass handheld
success, but it wasn't until the Gameboy that the concept reached the masses and became
a staple of modern day life.
So next time you're sending a fire tweet, or sharing a picture of your avocado toast
on instagram, make sure to take a second and thank the gameboy, because without it, you
might've had to actually call someone and tell them about your toast instead, and, who
wants to actually talk to people?
So that's it, the advent of the gameboy helped usher in a new era of mobile gaming,
mobile platforms, and personalization of tech devices.
It's pretty crazy to think of something so small and so well.. derpy, having such an
amazing impact on society and particularly gaming culture.
So, what's your favorite handheld?
Make sure to let me know in the comments below, my all-time favorite has got to be that old
green GBC of mine, it holds some serious memories man.
But right now, I've been using the Switch quite a bit!
Also, make sure to let us know what you thought of this video, we're trying something a little

How to avoid being brainwashed by the mainstream media Actively choose your news from independent ou - Duration: 4:51.
How to avoid being brainwashed by the mainstream media Actively choose your news from independent
outlets
Many people in this country dont even realize just how much control the mainstream media
has over American society.
With the exception of Fox News and a handful of other outlets, the majority of the mainstream
media consists of liberal networks pushing a hard left ideology that is inconsistent
with Americas founding.
As a result, many Americans who are not aware of the biases and misinformation they are
being exposed to on a daily basis are becoming brainwashed, in a sense, to think a certain
way, to act a certain way, and even to say certain things.
Indeed, the mainstream media today is better at controlling the people than they are at
delivering factual information.
Most Americans that have been brainwashed by the mainstream media dont even know
that it has happened to them.
They go on with their lives as they always have, thinking that they are intelligent,
independent thinkers when in reality they are just regurgitating the rhetoric that they
heard on CNN or MSNBC.
One of the oldest propaganda techniques in the book is the idea that if you tell a lie
often enough, eventually the people will start to believe it that is exactly how the
mainstream media operates today, and how they have successfully won over the minds of so
many.
Given how mind-numbing the mainstream media can be, it is important to know what you can
do to ensure that you dont become a victim of the lies and the propaganda being shot
out across the airwaves and plastered on the front pages of national newspapers.
Writing for the Waking Times, contributor Patrick Henningsen recently published an article
titled, Free Your Mind From Mainstream Media Brainwashing. In it, Henningsen writes,
Whether we care to admit it or not, there are varying degrees of brainwashing and behavioral
conditioning with films and TV.
Thats why they call it programming. He then asks readers to think about how often
they find themselves using quotes from popular films or television shows, or even trying
to copy a certain hairstyle that they saw from someone on the screen.
(Related: Experts are now revealing the tricks that the mainstream media uses to brainwash
and control the masses.)
The first step in liberation from the machine is to become a more active consumer of information
and content, as opposed to being a passive sieve, Henningsen explains, using the word
machine as a metaphor for the mainstream media.
To defeat the linear, force-feeding tube of information and social condition by Hollywood
and mainstream media, simply read more, he continues.
Read whatever you can get your hands on Your knowledge retention rate will be higher,
and the experience of reading will hone your mental focus, self-reflection and clarity
of thought.
Henningsen puts emphasis on the idea that the American people need to teach themselves
how to learn, encouraging his readers to intentionally strike up conversations with people who are
a bit more experienced and knowledgeable in order to avoid becoming victims to the lies
and propaganda.
This is one of the fastest ways to increase your knowledge base and gain valuable insight,
he explains.
It is worth noting that in addition to the mainstream media, thousands of colleges and
universities across the country have also developed a reputation for brainwashing students
to think and believe one thing and one thing only.
Just this past week, a professor at Occidental College was in the news for arguing that men
must denounce their masculinity and encourage other men to do the same.
Yet another professor at Eastern Connecticut State University a few years back was caught
telling his creative writing class that racist Republicans would close down colleges if they
were to gain power in Washington D.C.
This sort of liberal brainwashing goes on in both the mainstream media and in the college
classroom, and unless the American people are equipped with the knowledge on how to
avoid becoming just another parrot that repeats everything they are told, this ideological
mind control will only continue.

Massage Mindset Minute 025: Attracting Money, Part 1 - Duration: 1:23.
Hey Cath Cox here with another Massage Mindset Minute.
Before we dive into some specific techniques for creating more money in our lives, we first
need to examine our thoughts and beliefs that are keeping it from manifesting.
Every time we have a new opportunity and we say, "I don't have enough money," then we're
actually just creating resistance rather than creating possibility.
So if you really are on a tight budget perhaps you don't have the discretionary income to
take advantage of some opportunities when they arise.
But a better way to frame that is to say and think that, "Right now I'm using my money
to pay bills (right?), pay rent, put my kids through school, fix my car...", whatever it
is.
But we really cut that flow of abundance off every time we say anything that is lack-based.
In the next video, I'll start with some really common sense techniques for actually making
more money.
Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to get the very latest Massage Mindset Minute
delivered to your inbox.
Wishing you abundance!

🎵Taylor Swift …Ready For It blind commentary - Duration: 9:48.
what is going on everybody my name is Billy and it's time for another video in
today's video I'm going to be watching a music video I don't really want my
channel to be all music videos or music related I want to do other stuff as well
but at the moment I just really want to watch things with music in them and um
this one is a new song by Taylor Swift her new song is called ready for it I
don't know what is she ready for is she going somewhere what's happening I don't
even know it is exciting people me I am a fan of Taylor Swift I did react to her
last video I believed it was called look what you made me do by Taylor Swift and
I wasn't really the biggest fan of that song it just wasn't my cup of tea that
video has been taken down due to copyright so um hopefully this one
doesn't get copyrighted but yeah guys that is why I'm gonna have to cut
through some of this anyway original link will be in the description below
and with no further ado let's get into this all right people let's get into
this in three two one play
oh okay we have the beat
oh my gosh those eyes
oh I got chills people oh my gosh
Oh I got shivers down my spine people
oh 👌
gosh she looks great
oh she's naked oh ok
this beat though👌
oh god it is intense
this is beyond me
it's so cool
it's like the movie Tron
we have a horse okay
oh damn
I'm getting it wow the visuals they are amazing
okay so she knows she's gonna be with this person
oh my goodness Wow look at this this is amazing a work of art
the visuals the visual just the visuals👌👍
Wow damn she's been hit no Taylor
what happened to you
oh my gosh that face at the end my goodness that was amazing I Tyler
you surprised me when that oh wow people oh my goodness the visuals I can't find
the words it's insane and my gosh you know I felt like I was watching a sci-fi
like trailer for a movie it was just so sci-fi II and I like that me I'm a fan
of sci-fi and that was really awesome I like this better than the last one that
I saw of Taylor um in my personal opinion anyway the song was really
catchy I'm guessing it's about like loving
someone and you know you're gonna love them what I've also got in this video I
got that Taylor means business like she ain't gonna let no man bring her down
like I'm guessing that she has had some unsuccessful relationships with all the
guys and now she's just like no no touch I am my own woman that's what I'm
kind of getting from this like I don't know for sure but no man is gonna mess
with her that that's kind of what I'm getting this music video made me feel
excited I hype hot when I was watching this like my gosh as I said I had chills
for most of this I love the beat and the whole the whole atmosphere of this video
it was just oh I don't know how to say it but my goodness people I my heart was
pumping really quickly through it it was it was thrilling it was just a thrill to
watch this in my opinion anyway that's just me and how I've received it but um
yeah I gotta say this video was very interesting at some parts she was like
this robot like very advanced version of her like when she looked into the box
she saw herself but it wasn't exactly her it had the same kind of appearance
but it was different and Chane shakes of different kinds and that
was really interesting I don't know what to make of that it's like a metaphor for
like how digital life is getting maybe out of nerd but things are getting more
digital in time and we rely on technology so much we are becoming
basically robots in a way like you see people with the with the headphones and
the burns all over the place it's it's the modern society that we are living in
and that's what I'm guessing that it's trying to show or maybe this just came
to me just now maybe it's a way of saying that we are starting to lose
ourselves I don't know if I'm right but maybe it's saying that we are becoming
so digital and advanced in time that we lose our sense of who we are at
belonging because in the video this Taylor that was all electricity and just
robotic was not her like it was there like bad version of her in a way maybe
maybe that's it I don't know mine is blowing right now I don't know but um
yeah maybe it is a metaphor saying that we are losing ourselves because of
Technology and eventually our personalities and who we are are just
not going to be for all out this was a really great music video I really did
enjoy this like the whole the whole idea and visuals plate it was socially based
in a more modern time but I feel that we are almost there in technology we are
we're so far with technology that it's scary like my goodness me I'm old
fashioned I'm not good with a whole technical side of things like I'm good
at a certain degree but not too good when it comes to technology but that's
the thing with society today we have to learn to adapt to what we have back in
my school there were no flat-screen TVs there
tablets that there was nothing of the sort and I'm talking about long way back
like not high school because technology started yet advanced then but when I was
in primary there was none of that so yeah these days we have to learn to
adapt or you know we're just gonna be lost because that's that's the way
technology is going these days who really cares about what I think but you
know I I speak my mind and I feel that technology is moving a bit too fast but
yeah guys I hope you guys enjoyed this video I know this was a bit choppy as I
said I can't really play the full song but yeah I will leave a link in the
description but large who that um full song if you guys want to listen to it
but yeah Tayla is really like she's changing her way when it comes to how
music and I kind of like that I like I like that she's so different advanced
may I say I owe people it's refreshing to see something entirely different like
that and yeah it reminded me of a movie I saw gent like Tron and also ghost
in the shell' if anyone has seen that movie yeah Wow well it's really good to
see an artist do something different with the music like maybe it's something
easy but maybe visuals but trying to be creative and I kind of like the creative
aspect of that and yeah I just love music videos that can be really out
there and very creative to me personally that's just me but yeah that's that's
top on my list up yep yep I think I'm gonna leave it here um I hope you all
have a wonderful fantastic day and my name is Billy
is now out take care guys bye

She didn't have a lot to offer, monetarily, but there are things that don't cost money;
reading and memorizing what you read are two of them.

Why I'm So Excited About The Brand New Norwegian Bliss - Duration: 8:39.
Several brand-new cruise ships will be entering service in 2018 and the one I'm most excited about is the Norwegian Bliss.
With the recent expansion of the Panama Canal, it's now much easier for cruise lines to position mega cruise ships on the west coast of the United States.
I'm a California boy, so I'm really excited to see that Norwegian's newest ship is going to be coming to Los Angeles.
NCL specifically designed the Norwegian Bliss for cruises in Alaska...
But the Alaska cruising season is only a little more than three months long...
So, for the rest of the year she'll be doing some Pacific coast cruises, Mexican Riviera cruises...
And shuttling back and forth through the Panama Canal to be able to do some Caribbean cruises, too.
I've become such a fan of Norwegian Cruise Line in recent years!
The last four cruises I've done with NCL have been fantastic.
And I really like the design of their latest ships.
So, I can't wait to get onboard the new Norwegian Bliss... and I'm booked on one of her very first cruises.
In fact, it'll be the very first time that she'll cruise through the Panama Canal.
Our cruise will start in Miami, and end in Los Angeles.
So, for me, I'll be flying out from LA to Miami...
And the Norwegian Bliss is going to bring me back home.
I like that idea!
In this video, I'm going to try to show you why I'm so excited about the Norwegian Bliss.
Just remember that at the point I'm making this video, the Norwegian Bliss is still under construction...
So, actual photos and videos of her completed features don't exist yet.
So, in this video I'm going to use artist's renderings and animations supplied by Norwegian Cruise Line...
As well as a few pictures from sister ships to illustrate my points.
Let me start by showing you a rendering of the cabin that my wife and I will be staying in.
At first glance, it probably looks pretty much like a standard balcony cabin, but...
Actually, there's something special about the type of cabin that we've booked...
And it's better than just a regular balcony cabin.
It's what's known as a "spa mini suite"... and "spa" is the most important word in that phrase.
By booking a spa cabin, we'll have complete access to one of the best features on the Norwegian Bliss:
The thermal suite, in the spa.
Norwegian's been building nice thermal suites in the spas of their ships ever since the Jewel-class more than 10 years ago...
And they've been getting better and better with each new ship!
The thermal suite on the Norwegian Bliss looks like it's going to be the most beautiful and most comfortable yet.
Here's a video that I shot in the thermal suite on the Norwegian Escape, last year.
We enjoyed spending time in this warm thermal pool every day... and that was only a seven day cruise.
Our Panama Canal cruise on the Norwegian Bliss will be 14 days...
And relaxing in the thermal suite is going to be one of my favorite daily activities, I'm sure.
Notice those big picture windows on the left side of this rendering...
And the heated tile loungers lined up to give you a great view out those windows.
Can you imagine watching the ship go through one of the locks of the Panama Canal from here? I can!
But from what I can tell in examining the deck plans for the Norwegian Bliss...
There's one key difference regarding that view out the picture windows of the thermal suite.
On the last three Norwegian ships, the thermal suite was at the front of the ship.
But from what I can tell on Norwegian Bliss, it's going to be at the back end of the ship.
So, the view out those windows will be of what's behind the ship.
And it looks like the reason they moved the spa to the back of the ship...
Was to make way for something the other ships don't have...
An observation lounge with a spectacular view forward.
It'll take up the entire front end of deck 15.
I'm sure the idea behind this larger observation area was for Alaska cruises...
To provide a warm indoor area where people could comfortably enjoy the view.
But I think it'll be great for Panama Canal cruises, too, because...
It'll be a comfortable air-conditioned place to avoid the heat without missing the views.
Another great place for viewing the Panama Canal (or Alaska) on Norwegian Bliss...
Is a two-story observation lounge on deck 17 and 18 forward called "the Horizon Lounge".
But the Horizon Lounge is for the exclusive use of guests staying within "The Haven"...
NCL's exclusive, un-crowded, and pricey VIP area of the ship.
We've stayed within The Haven on three of our previous NCL cruises and absolutely loved it.
But the word has gotten out about The Haven in recent years.
Demand for cabins within the Haven has increased and the prices are quite a bit higher now than they were for a while there.
And since our Panama Canal cruise is 14 days, the price for even the least expensive room in The Haven was completely out of reach for us.
So, that's why we'll be in a spa cabin, not a Haven suite, for this cruise.
Something I'm really looking forward to trying out on the Norwegian Bliss is the go-kart track.
This is certainly something you wouldn't expect to find on a cruise ship, but there will indeed be one on Norwegian Bliss.
In addition to my wife, one of my sisters will be on this cruise with us.
I'm looking forward to racing both of them on the go-karts on Norwegian Bliss.
Along the same lines... the Bliss will continue NCL's tradition of offering the best water slides at sea on their newest ships.
If somebody in your family likes water slides, you shouldn't be cruising with any of the other cruise lines.
Norwegian is definitely the cruise line with the best water slides!
I've made a lot of money off of advertising revenue from YouTube videos about water slides on cruise ships.
Three of my YouTube videos about cruise ship water slides have gone viral with more than a million views.
One of them has had over 93 million views!
So, I am going to plant myself at the Norwegian Bliss' waterslides with my video camera...
And see if I can get lightning to strike a fourth time!
Looking back over all 42 cruises I've ever done...
I'd have to say that some of the best food experiences I've ever had have been on Norwegian.
On most cruises, my wife and I just eat our meals in the buffet, but...
On NCL, we find ourselves eating dinner in the specialty restaurants much more often than we do on other cruise lines...
Because the restaurants on NCL are so good!
There's a Brazilian steakhouse that I've totally loved on my previous NCL cruises.
Cagney's... A regular American-style steakhouse.
La Cucina... the Italian restaurant.
Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville... with a pretty great plate of nachos!
Plus, the Bliss will have several new restaurants that we haven't seen on our previous NCL cruises.
There's a Texas smokehouse called "Q". I'm really excited about that one!
Los Lobos... a new Mexican restaurant. I've seen the menu and it looks great!
Another restaurant I look forward to returning to on NCL is the Manhattan Room.
No extra charge... It's basically just one of their main dining rooms. But I like that they have a band that plays there.
And the food has always been good on my visits during previous NCL cruises.
Another thing I really like about dining on the newer NCL ships is that there's outdoor seating along what they call "The Waterfront".
Having the option to eat outside on a warm evening... especially if you time your meal for sunset... really makes it special!
Well, this video's really just scratched the surface of what's so special about the Norwegian Bliss.
Look for many more videos about the Norwegian Bliss on my YouTube channel, after we return.
And a comprehensive review of our cruise on my web site at JimZim.net somewhere around the beginning of June 2018.
I'm Jim Zim. Here are links to some videos from my previous NCL cruises that I think you'd like.
Thanks for watching!

Trump Tells Americans to "Stand Strong" in Wake of Texas Church Shooting - Duration: 3:43.
Trump
Tells Americans to Stand Strong in Wake of Texas Church Shooting.
POLITICS Trump Tells Americans to Stand Strong
in Wake of Texas Church Shooting Presidet Trump Responds to Texas Shooting
BY DAVIS.
On Sunday afternoon, America was once again horrified by yet another mass shooting this
time in a church in the small town of Sutherland Springs, Texas.
As of Monday morning, there were at least 26 dead, and over a dozen more wounded.
In Japan, President Donald Trump addressed the atrocity during a media appearance, The
Daily Caller reported.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families in todays horrible attack,
Trump said while he was at the U.S. embassy in Japan.
In dark times, and these are dark times, such as these, Americans do what they do best:
they pull together, he added.
Thats quite a powerful message, one that is fitting for the time. Rather than jumping
into a discussion about gun control like his predecessor, Trump is choosing to grieve with
America.
We join hands, we lock arms, and through the tears and through the sadness, we stand
strong, Trump said during his remarks.
All Americans pray to God to help the wounded and the families of the victims, he added.
This latest mass shooting truly was a horror. It is officially the deadliest shooting in
a church in modern American history, and is one of the deadliest mass shootings of all
time in this country.
As of Monday morning, no motive for this shooting had been established, though police had released
the identity of the shooter and were combing through every single aspect of his life.
This is a national tragedy, one that will undoubtedly shock this nation and lead to
some serious discussion about public safety.
If Americans cant even go to church without having to worry about a gunman coming in and
killing them, then we as a society have become truly lost.
CNN noted that in later remarks Trump stated that this was a mental health problem
not a guns situation, claiming that the shooter was a very deranged individual.
This is a mental health problem at the highest level. Its a very, very sad event,
he stated.
This is the second high-profile mass shooting to occur under President Trumps administration,
and the first national crisis to occur while he is overseas.
So far Trump has responded well to this. Hopefully in the days ahead Trump will continue to comfort
a nation in mourning even while he is an ocean away.

President Donald Trump Spotted In Dog's Ear Cyst - Duration: 2:32.
A dog owner took a picture of a cyst in her dogs ear, only to realize that the cyst looks
like Donald trump's face and blonde hair.
Ive heard of people seeing religious figures in strange places, but Donald trump?
That's definitely a first.
More on this today on IO.
What is good, My name is charlotte and this is inform overload, where we talk about viral
trending content.
And whats trending right now, is this cyst that looks like Donald trump.
Before I get into this video, I just wanna remind you to smash that like and subscribe
for more trending news commentary.
25 year old Jade Robinson noticed that her beagle, named chief, was under the weather.
She waited until Chief was asleep before she took a picture of the inside of its ear so
she could send it to a vet.
Apparently this beagle does not like it when the insides of his ears are touched.
But when she showed the picture to a friend, the friend pointed out the resemblance between
the ear cyst and The US president's profile.
The ear cyst was likely caused by bacteria from dirt ending up in the beagles ears.
According to the owner, beagles are always scraping up the ground sniffing for smells,
and that results in his ears picking up a lot of dirt.
Jade decided to share the photo on Facebook to show her friends, but now its all over
the internet because her friend reposted it on twitter.
Its been shared tens of thousands of times.
When I first saw this story I was like ugh we should stay away from that one, but now
every major news outlet has covered it, including the BBC.
So why does everyone care about an ear cyst that looks like Donald trump?
Truthfully, I have no idea.
Probably because it really really looks like Donald trump.
Man look at that combover.
Ms robinson is using the viral story to raise money for a vet examination so her beagle
can get that nasty cyst taken care of.
She set up a crowdfunding page, and at the time this video was filmed, shes raised 360
pounds of the 450 pounds needed.
Looks like that pup isn't going to have a Donald trump cyst for very much longer,
and I think we can all agree that's a good thing.
They should take a video of the cyst popping and put it on youtube.
10 million view video right there.
Ok lets stop talking about this cyst.
This is not the weird side of youtube.

Overcoming These 12 Barriers Will Drastically Ease Your Spiritual Journey - Duration: 4:42.
Overcoming These 12 Barriers Will Drastically Ease Your Spiritual Journey
by Conscious Reminder
Every spiritual journey has its own kinds of barriers and we need to overcome those
barriers in order to achieve spiritual bliss and peace.
Here we list 12 spiritual barriers that you may have to overcome in your spiritual journey;
take note:
1.
Defining yourself:
We tend to define ourselves but we forget that in the process of defining ourselves
we limit ourselves.
We end up setting goals for ourselves that are smaller.
We can achieve so much more if we resist from defining ourselves in completion and letting
universe decide what it wants for us.
2.
Letting your job become your life:
We end up thinking that what we do and possess defines us.
But this isnt true.
We have much more potential than our jobs and our identities are much bigger than the
professions that we take up for ourselves.
Dont think, you are your job.
3.
Heavily criticizing yourself:
Analyzing yourself is good and self evaluation is an important process but we should not
analyze ourselves to a point where we begin to dislike ourselves.
This isnt fair.
Dont be too critical of yourself.
4.
Being anxious:
Well, dont worry.
Be calm and deal with one problem at a time.
Being anxious and worried will not take you anywhere,
5.
Letting your ego have the final say:
Dont things so personally that you start talking from your ego instead of your mind.
People say all sorts of things and if you will take everything seriously, it will be
very difficult for you to live your life happily and maintain your peace of mind.
So dont take things on a personal level.
Let people say whatever they want to say.
Only concentrate on criticism that makes you a better person.
6.
Guilt:
Guilt is very bad for your spiritual health.
Guilt shows that there are decisions you made that you regret and this regret sort of lurks
around and affects you personally.
Guilt will render you uncomfortable and uneasy; so dont feel guilty about the things that
are way in the past.
Just begin to make wiser decisions so that you dont feel guilty about the decisions
you take from now.
7.
Delaying and procrastinating:
If you have an attitude of delaying things for tomorrow, it is not good for your productivity.
Just give up on your procrastination and try to do as many things as possible rather than
postponing them.
8.
Being around people who arent good for you:
Choose the people whom you want to be around.
You have to be in good company because people around you have a direct influence on you
and you can only be happy if people around you are good.
9.
Seeking validation:
Dont seek validation from anyone outside of you.
Concentrate on yourself and learn to appreciate yourself rather than seek approval from the
people around you.
10.
Thinking about the past too much:
Dont think about things that have happened in the past.
You arent in the capacity to change things that have already happened to you.
All that you can change is the way you take the things that have happened to you.
So, remember the lessons that you learnt from the events that happened in your life and
move on.
You are more than your past.
11.
Being attached to things:
It is very bad for your spiritual journey if you attach yourself to material things.
We initiate a spiritual journey so that we can become more detached from the things
that are around us.
So learn to be more detached from things.

Not valuing you time enough:
Time is the most important asset that all of us and if you dont value time, it wont
value you.
You need to learn to respect your time and the time of the people around you as well.
Time that is once gone wont ever come back.
So spend it wisely.

2BB School for the Blind - Duration: 3:41.
I like this one. This feels soft.
This feels like a pair of shorts.
So we have St. Josephs School for the Blind sitting over here, we're chatting with them today
just around getting jobs, being visually impaired, and really just trying to have a little bit of fun
with these four kids, we're pumped up and can't wait for you to meet all of them!
My name is Zyshon, Z-Y-S-H-O-N, I'm 19, I'm in the 12th grade
hobbies: I love watching anime and horror movies. What's your favorite horror movie?
Oh man, that's like asking somebody, what's your favorite type of energy drink?
We watched Paranormal Activity here the other night and I almost died I was so scared.
Aww that scared you? Cmon! That's not scary? I've seen way scarier than that!
So we're gonna have you guys feel a bunch of stuff, I'm gonna hand this to you
it's in this bag.
Fuzzy. I mean not fuzzy, like it's like really smooth, feels a lot more like- what is it?
Not like silk but like... a lot of bamboo in there. Yea it's really stretchy. I like it!
I just passed out a bunch of fabric for these kids from St. Josephs because
I want them to actually take a tour, not with their eyes, but with their hands
so that they can have the same experience Brad and I did when we were searching for
Two Blind Brothers fabric
the other one, do we have a feel bracelet? What? A bracelet?
it's a leather double-wrap bracelet and it actually has a braille word written on it.
Feel. Feel, that's right. I cannot tell you how cool these kids are
they may be blind, but that is something that is such a secondary piece to their entire lives.
Me, I'm thinking about a whole bunch of stuff, like game designing
I want to try and make games that are really accessible to the blind and visually impaired.
I was thinking about making music beats. Oh that'd be cool. Like Dr. Dre does.
Have you heard of AIRA yet? Ooh I got something to show you.
AIRA is a new technology that allows somebody whose blind or visually impaired to connect to
a visual orientation specialist. Describe what you're seeing right now.
There's one of those eye doctor tests on the wall with a big T at the top, and then it says
W-O-B-L-I-N-D-B-R-other at the bottom. The specialist is seeing through the camera
and can tell you what's in front of you. Another person I saw on your right
yep, one more. What does he look like? He has a purple shirt on and khaki pants
Is he handsome? We are only allowed to give information regarding-
That's a no! That's a no! It took here approximately 3 second to answer that question.
she's like, ooh we don't disclose. I could tell she went like this, like she
looked away from the camera and she's like "nope, I ain't doing it!"
Bye everybody, thank you so much for coming, this was such a delight
just finished up with a couple blind students who came over to chat with Two Blind Brothers
Brad and I, so we can try to impart a little bit of wisdom, a little bit of inspiration
but more than anything just kid of have a great time, so it was a really fun day and
it was great to meet all of them. Thanks guys!

[ENG SUB] Stray Kids EP4 - To Show Our Stories, We Made This | Minho's Team GLOW Making - Duration: 2:34.
CB: We have prepared a song called GLOW
CB: This song tells about how our team practices from dawn
CB: we'll show how in hard times we pushed each other on
CB: to show even in the dark that we shine
CB: with the meaning that even though its dark (hard) we will shine through
CB: through this we wrote the song GLOW
JYP: the song's title is GLOW with the meaning that 'You Shine'
CB: yes
JYP: all three of you wrote the lyrics together?
(Minho's team who all contributed in writing and producing the lyrics)
CB: Since its about our stories
CB: I think that instead of me writing the lyrics myself, it would be better if we all helped to write the lyrics.
CB: Since we all have our own separate stories
CB: Since it will be fun to do it while relaxed
CB: In the intro, like we're tired but we still go through
(Changbin who wants to write the lyrics based on the member's stories)
CB: Because we practice everyday, I want to show how much effort we put in
CB: I wanted to make it based on our stories
(a song about the stories of us who for our dream, practiced every day)
(Minho who has been given the first challenge to rap for the mission)
CB: Do it more powerful
CB: more power more power!
CB: pay attention to the beat!
MH: To be honest, my self esteem has fallen a little bit
MH: I'm really nervous
MH: Its also the first time I'm going to be rapping
MH: I couldn't get a feel for it
MH: Also because the dongsaengs in our team seemed to be doing well
CB: I was watching Minho hyung put a lot of effort in
CB: It was scary to think that there might be a chance that he's eliminated
CB: I felt really pitiful because I was really thankful because he was doing well
(Minho who is continuously practicing on his own)
(he suddenly came out of the waiting room...)
(Minho continued to practice his part quietly in the hallway)
MH: rather than anyone else,
MH: The one that is in the most danger seems to be me
MH: I don't want to harm the members so I tried really hard
MH: for us to look like one
MH: To make it that this time there won't be a member that will be eliminated
MH: I wanted to go by it safely like that
MH: it would be good if we all went on to do the next mission together
