hey guys! Shawn here. Welcome to prayerlights. If you are new, this channel is

all about mommy lifestyle vlogs to help you raise

a Jesus loving child. Today's video is part 2 of Christmas games for groups.

My first Christmas games for groups video that I did last year really took

off. It went really well so I figured you all would like to see what I have done

for Christmas parties this year for some kids groups and for some youth groups.

Here are three of the games that I have played with the kids and youth this year.

If you are interested in Christmas games and you need some last-minute

ideas, keep watching.

Christmas game number one for groups is the wrapping paper and oven

mitt game. I will insert a video of how long it took me to actually wrap

up a gift. We did a 90's themed Christmas party for our youth and so I put a fanny

pack with a whole bunch of 90s stuff in it and wrapped it up.

I have a lot of fun wrapping it up but it took a while. I will insert

some footage of our youth actually playing the game. They would roll

dice and if they hit doubles then they had to pass the present on and the oven

mitts. Then the next person got to try unwrapping while the next person

in line got to roll. They had a lot of fun playing this game. I know you've

probably seen it because there's a video somewhere that went viral. It wasn't my

video but someone's awesome idea so we thought we would try it. We had

really great success so I highly recommend. The second game for groups at

Christmastime is similar to the last game that I just mentioned except

this one you wrap with saran wrap. I'm inserting a video of me wrapping up all the

gifts. This one we are doing with our children for their Christmas party so I

stuck a lot of things in there that the kids would really enjoy and then I

wrapped them up with saran wrap. I don't have footage of them unwrapping it

yet because we actually have not had the party. That's coming up and I'm really

hoping that they will enjoy it but it looks like a lot of fun. Here's a

video of me wrapping up the saran wrap which was a lot of fun. I only used one

roll of saran wrap.

The last Christmas group game I have for you involves chopsticks and mini

marshmallows. You're going to set the timer for one minute and

everybody will try and pick up as many tiny marshmallows as they can with their

chopsticks either using them the regular way you hold chopsticks or like this.

These aren't chopsticks these are actually skewers so don't use skewers

with pointy ends. Make sure that you have chopsticks which are safer. Thanks so

Today let's see some advice to improve searching on Google, and some easter egg in its

1. Exclude a word of the searching

Do you want to exclude a word of the search results?

For example, to avoid that the word changes the search results

To do it, you can add the word to exclude preceded by the minus symbol

As you can see, the word " Potter " was excluded by the searching

2. Search a definition

Instead, if you can write the word " define " followed by the interested sentence, you can find its definition

3. Search in a specific site

If you interest to search a word in a specific site, you can write the sentence proceded of the site domain

If you reverse the sentence with the site domain, the results doesn't change

4. Play to Tris

If you search the word "Tris", you can play Tris

5. Google Gravity

Instead, Searching "Google gravity", then click on first result, Google will be influenced by gravity

Don't you satisfied of the search results?

For example, you search a guide in pdf format and not interests nothing else

First the search query, you must only add the string "Filetype" followed by the format that you interest

10. Converter

Do you know that the Google search engine has an integrated converter?

For example, if you write the string "10 mb in gb", it returns the Gigabytes correspond at ten Megabytes

11. Calculator

Now, let's try to tell it the ten percent of two hundred

To do it, you just need to write the string "from Italian to French" after the word to be translated

Cat Christmas Dinner! Homemade Cat Xmas Dinner - Your Cat Can Join You For Xmas Dinner! - Duration: 3:02.

Hi guys! Welcome back to the channel it's Claire and Rags and do you want to make

your cat to their very own Christmas dinner to enjoy on Christmas Day? Well

Rags and I have a very special recipe for you to make your cat a nutritious and

delicious Christmas dinner so if you want to make sure that your cat joins in

on the Christmas festivities just carry on watching okay so it's so super easy

to make I'll cat their very own Christmas dinner. All you're going to

need is half a cup of cooked turkey, 1 tablespoon of finely grated carrots 3

tablespoons of a diced green beans, the water out of a tuna can now make sure it

is spring water and not brine or oil, and a small handful of your cat's favorite dry food

OK - so all I really need to do is add all these ingredients into a food processor

now this is obviously a great way to use some leftovers from your

Christmas dinner but what I'm going to be doing is making this for Ragsy on

Christmas Day so she can have a Christmas dinner with us as well ok so

all you need to do now is just blend that for between 15 and 30 seconds until

it is a nice mixed up puree

Ok so once your mix is a nice and pureed what you want to do to make it super

extra Christmassy is get yourself a Christmas cookie cutter. I have a

Christmas tree because why not? Now take your mixture and with spoon and cut it

in to the cookie cutter

Okay and then you put that in the fridge to set for a couple of hours okay so

this has been in the fridge for about two and a half hours and it set really

well now this is quite a big portion this will do Ragsy about five meals I

reckon so you can keep this in the fridge in an airtight container for

about a week. Let's see what Ragsy thinks, shall we?

Why this elbow is a TIME person of the year - Duration: 2:41.

TIME magazine named "The Silence Breakers" Person of the Year for 2017.

These are the women and men who shared their stories of assault, harassment and hostility

and publicly named their alleged abusers in Hollywood, the media, and politics.

But if you look closer, there's something else on the cover.

A hint that there are many more who don't — or can't — break that silence.

So while 2017 was a landmark year for talking about sexual assault, harassment, and rape,

a majority of the women and men who've felt violated don't speak out at all.

For every 1,000 rapes, it's estimated that only 310 are reported — that's just under

one third.

In fact, it's believed that rape is the most underreported crime.

Of those reported, only a fraction lead to arrest.

And only a fraction of those arrests lead to prosecution.

And only a fraction of those prosecuted are incarcerated.

And, when it comes to harassment,

Well, a U.S. government report found that when men and women were sexually harassed

at work, the least common response was to formally report it.

Only 30% of people did.

That means that for every three that reported, another 7 remained silent.

Another study cited in that EEOC report found that of the people who reported harassment

at work, 75% faced some sort of retaliation for doing so.

Which explains why so few people report their harassment: Fear.

In fact, fear is the number one reason people don't report.

Fear of retaliation for speaking out.

And this is why the Silence Breakers are a big deal.

2017 certainly feels like a year in which many, many, more people are speaking up in

spite of that fear.

But there's just so much more we don't know.

Even the statistics cited in this video — by their own admission — overrepresent the

experiences of straight white women, and probably don't accurately reflect the experiences

of women of color, men, lesbians, gays, or transgender people.

Which is to say that the stories of the few silence breakers that have come forward are

really just the tip of the elbow for all the people remaining silent.

The Cover Letter Is Useless In 2018 - Three Steps To Stand Out - Duration: 3:57.

Is this 1990?

No! - crumple it up!

Alright so, yeah, that's exactly how we feel about the cover letter, so in this video i'll

show you three things you need to be doing instead of wasting all your time on a cover

letter.

what do you think about that?

. Good.

#1 locate the hiring manager.

so you might be thing to yourself how on earth could i get to the hiring manager if the hiring

manager is not listed on the job description.

you gotta get out of your comfort zone on this one if you want to get ahead of the competition

and there's a couple ways you can do this.

If you are applying for a small company, this should be really easy.

You could either find them on LinkedIn pretty quickly or you can call the company directly.

Ask the secretary on the phone who the hiring manager is and nine times out of ten, they'll

tell you who it is and they'll even give you the hiring manager's email.

If it's a large company or a medium size, mid-to large size company, you may not be

able to do that that quickly because there's so many employees.

Go on LinkedIn and do a search for people in that particular group in the department.

Find one or two that you can target, and send a LinkedIn message directly to them, and sometimes

the people's LinkedIn profiles they also have their email is that's the case also send them

a direct email.

Ask them kindly to share who the hiring manager is and let them know that you are trying to

apply for the job and you just want to send your resume directly to them.

#2 email the hiring manager.

Now if you've gotten as far as getting the hiring manager's email, you are doing better

than 90% of people who are blindly applying through an application system.

So, what do you do at this point?

In your email you want to have your resume attached, and in the body of the email you

want to have a short 4-5 sentence intro and a theme of why you are going to crush it,

why you are perfect for the role.

Right, this is not about how you want the job so bad, this is selling yourself in that

short couple sentences of why they should even take the couple seconds to click on your

resume and give you a shot as an external candidate.

#3 friend them on LinkedIn.

After you've sent the hiring manager an email what you want to do is two things.

The first thing is send the hiring manager a message on LinkedIn and let them know you

just emailed them with your resume and you are looking forward to hearing from them and

put the body of the email that you sent in your LinkedIn message.

Let them know why you are going to crush it and why they should be opening the email you

sent earlier in the first place.

The second thing you need to be doing is about thirty minutes later, after you send them

a LinkedIn message, send them a friend request.

What you've done is you've created three separate events that should get you noticed more so

than any other applicant and increase your chances for success.

But a 2015 study of global population trends conducted by the United Nations showed that

by 2022, India will be so packed with people that it'll knock China out of the top spot

— and the country's population is growing so fast that researchers aren't necessarily

sure that this hasn't already happened.

These days, scientists aren't as freaked out as they once were about overcrowding the earth—

"Our single greatest problem is the population explosion"

— but there's no question that we'll have packed a lot more people onto the planet by

the dawn of the twenty-second century: 11.2 billion, to be exact, which is a whopping

9.6 billion more than were here in the year 1900.

So, better claim your space now.

Aloha Mars

People haven't been to the Moon since the 1970s, but that's okay.

We have another goal in mind now: walking on Mars.

In 2011, ten space agencies from all over the world met to discuss plans to visit the

Red Planet, with a goal of setting human feet on Martian soil by the mid-2030s.

Ultimately, that fourth rock from the sun is considered the likeliest place for a human

colony, ideally as an outpost for earthlings — but it'll also be a good backup plan in

the event of our current planet becoming uninhabitable.

But we're doing okay, right?

Maybe not.

See ya, sea ice

According to some data models, the earth is on pace to lose virtually all Arctic sea ice

by 2037.

As of 2009, there were 4.6 million square kilometers of sea ice still in existence;

if it continues disappearing, in another twenty years we'll have less than one million square

kilometers left, much of which will be thinner than what we have today, and could end up

vanishing under the right conditions.

The study in question doesn't say when we might expect the Arctic to lose ice completely,

but the general consensus is that if that happens, we're all pretty much doomed.

"I'm on thin ice!"

The ozone zone

"Recently, scientists discovered a weak spot in the ozone layer over Antarctica, the icy

continent at the South Pole."

We don't hear much about it now, but in the '70s and '80s, the hole in Earth's ozone layer

was considered one of the biggest threats to our civilization.

If it got any bigger, we feared, the Sun's ultraviolet rays would come through it unimpeded

and quickly roast us alive.

Thankfully, steps were taken to reduce the use of chemicals causing the ozone depletion,

and the ozone layer has been slowly but surely healing itself.

Still, it's a slow process; it won't be until 2075 that the most damaged part of the layer

over the Antarctic will fully heal.

Weasels out

Aside from nuclear bombs, few things are worse for the environment than invasive species,

which show up in places they're not native to, prey on the local wildlife, spread exotic

diseases, and generally mess up the natural order of things.

But if New Zealand's plans work out, invasive species like rats, weasels, possums and ferrets

will be eradicated from the island by 2050.

"Ice this weasel."

"AHH!"

Getting rid of these animals will cost the country over $6.2 billion, but that's a small

price to pay for saving the 25 million native birds — including beloved national symbol

the kiwi — who are eaten by these predators every year.

And kiwis aren't the only birds in danger.

The way of the dodo

According to a 2011 study on climate change, extreme temperature fluctuations might just

spell the apocalypse for bird populations worldwide.

If global temperatures rise by just a few degrees Celsius, researchers say anywhere

from 600 to 900 species of birds will go extinct — most of them from tropical zones, where

the temperature stays pretty much the same all year round.

If those places suddenly get too hot or too cold, the birds that lack the ability to adapt

or migrate to a more hospitable climate won't survive.

Or, they'll get their revenge.

Right now, robot uprisings are pure science fiction, since none of the AI systems we've

created are as smart as we are.

But according to Ben Ross, an expert at MYOB Technology, artificial intelligence is on

pace to match human intelligence by 2040 — and by 2060, it'll surpass us, which means we'd

better give our robots a solid moral foundation in addition to smarts.

"Must kll all…"

In a TED talk, Ross told fellow AI creators that they should

"...make sure we guide its pathway forward — ensuring a great outcome instead of bad."

In other words, it's up to us whether our super-intelligent, super-powerful AI ends

up looking like Wall-E, or something much more sinister.

done anything for myself today yet and I just feel like I got it I got actually

like exercise has changed my life and you know the past five years so exercise

has to go I have to exercise every day I'm sure what I'm doing that was five

days in the weight room two days outside get some fresh air

anyways we're gonna go to a holiday park in a little bit and I'm gonna film

during the workout of Holiday Park maybe after the workout at Holiday Park and I

know I'm gonna feel great I'm just gonna walk I'm gonna walk on the little park

exercise than it is to just going I love going today I really didn't you know I

didn't feel totally like it today but I still just went and yeah I'm totally

glad I am plus I needed to make a video to not not only just to make a video but

I was like well welcome back to video on let me make the you know this video is

gonna be on exercise the past I've only been exercising for right after like so

Martin for in almost four and a half years I've so like not even totally five

years yet and have I just been like living trying to live the juicy life or

you know be jacked and oh my god is gonna be forever yeah I just started

with exercise I'm so glad I started with the exercise that's one of the main

things like it has just changed my life hey I can't imagine going through a day

without getting this nice sweat and I mean getting you know I just keep on

looking at myself and I'm I'm changing I can see my body changing I was

overweight I have been about 315 pounds before I don't know I just estimate

because I was topping the public scales and they go to 300 I was like boom and I

was still getting fat I didn't care for months after that but I have to I have

to have my exercise every day before I started exercising five years ago I was

285 pounds just fat unhappy yeah all that stuff

okay I gotta make some moves here what this motherfucker oh my god so nice so

nice so it was nice and let me in do you believe that they but I don't know I

don't believe that at all thank you bro oh my god someone was nice and let me in

boys looking kind of juicy though huh so yeah before I started exercise and I

still can't believe that guy let me in now you're like see there's nice people

folder there are nice people in folder i'm here i'm nice oh my god

so I'm gonna make some turning moves it's what your boys got the little car

your boys making moves over here but I can tell they can't ow juicy I am from

from vlogging can't they your boys Juicy J double OC wide juicy

hahaha no I'm just fucking around right oh my god her am i no but uh my life is

gotten so much better since I start exerting and thing was how it's an hour

to myself every day that's what I get i detached I actually you know I like to

detach and I left my phone in my car and just walked around the walking Park and

thought about things for for 45 minutes and it was great it was really really

really nice so it's changed my confidence I feel better about myself

I'm getting more out of my day I'm seeing people

I'm just feeling more confident I think I'm projecting a different aura and I'm

also getting compliments from girls and guys you know that oh you're looking

good your body is looking nice you're looking Jack playing all kinds of

positive comments and I used to be told that I was fat all the time you know

when I was a kid really I really haven't been called fat since like forty

thirteen fourteen years old but man that like six to fourteen those eight years

were pretty traumatic so I'm just I'm trying to make up for those now and have

a lot of fun because those were not fun here's for your boy anyways so to hear

those positive compliments it's like you know I wasn't getting those before I was

exercising and really and I haven't worked out every single day since I

started five years ago or anything I think I just started out doing push-ups

I have a video on how I started I know I said I was gonna do a summary video

freak I should do a summary video on me someday I will someday soon I got so

many video ideas and then people asking for videos so

we'll never run out of videos so I can do daily forever so I'll eventually get

to one anyways but the exercise the exercise has been so key to everything

and now I got I got I got I gotta get an exercise in for 45 minutes to an hour

hour and 15 minutes every day I I just I love it that much and I don't care if

that can just be walking like I didn't really go too hard today I just walked

around the track I briskly walked I just I just want to get some fresh air and

that was the main thing and not lift weights because I'll lift weights every

single day oh my god I know you crazy motherfuckers will want we're Willard

we'll see where I go home so I'm going to end the vlog here Oh

Veganism's Eternal September & Vegan Gatekeeper Syndrome - Duration: 9:00.

hey there modern vegans and vegan curious it's Margaret and welcome back

to modvegan. today on modvegan we're gonna talk about vegan gatekeeper

syndrome I think this is a huge issue in the vegan community and it's something

that we all need to be on the watch for it's something that really affects the

efficiency of the vegan movement the effectiveness of the movement and it

helps really get in the way of bringing new people into veganism when I talk

about veganism on this channel I am talking about the end of animal

agriculture I'm not talking so much about veganism as an ethical movement I

think that's important as well but I am talking about ending animal agriculture

for me the main goal of veganism is ending the use of animals in food

entertainment and our clothing that is what really matters to me and that's

what I think we really want to be focused on as vegans sometimes people

who have been vegan for a long time people who are part of that first wave

of veganism and the second wave of veganism really are getting in the way

of the next wave of the movement and it's it's very reminiscent to me and a

lot of ways of the early days of the internet back in the old days of the

internet before many of you were probably even born back when there was

Usenet people used to joke about September and all the newbies who would

get access to the Internet when they went to University and people said when

AOL first came out that it was like an eternal September because here were all

these newbies coming and they were destroying the internet they were making

everything awful these people didn't know how to behave they were just making

everything a giant mess and they wish they would go away and sometimes I feel

we get this eternal September moment in the vegan movement as well there are new

vegans all the time who don't seem to be the right kind of vegans maybe they're

vegan for their health or maybe they're vegan just because they're lazy and they

don't want to cook meat maybe they prefer plant-based food options and

aren't that interested in the ethical aspects of veganism they just don't want

to eat animals or maybe they're interested in the ethical aspects of

veganism but they find a lot of it really challenging sometimes they slip

up and people just get frustrated with them and this happens all the time there

are some areas that you'll see this more than others

there are some people who are leaders in the vegan movement who are the worst

kind of gatekeepers they are the biggest people who just want to make veganism

perfect and don't want these newbies getting in the way and destroying

everything I think this is the problem it's something that we need to address

and it's what I want to talk with you guys about here today

vegan gatekeepers we all know them we probably have all met them if you've

been vegan for so much as a few minutes you probably have already encountered

one because there are a lot of people who really want to make sure that

veganism is done right and while I can appreciate their motivations and I can

appreciate why they are so convicted of this I do think it is a problem I think

being a vegan gatekeeper is not a benefit to the movement and I think it

really helps prevent us from moving forward I've been talking in recent

weeks about that technology adoption curve and how veganism is changing from

being an ethical belief system only to being one that is really about ending

animal agriculture removing animal agriculture from our food system moving

towards sustainable more productive and profitable production of food I think

that's really the way that we are heading these days and we are moving

away from animals as a basis for our agriculture it's just not working and as

more and more companies adopt plant-based foods they are going to be

shifting our buying habits as a whole population not just the ethical vegans

they're going to be moving our whole population in a different direction what

does this mean for veganism as a movement well I think it creates a lot

of challenges it's gonna upset the people in the whole food plant-based

community because they're gonna wonder what all this is about lab-created meat

they're gonna be very offended by this because it's not pure veganism as they

see it maybe it's not healthy enough for them you're gonna see people in the

ethical movement who are frustrated because they are used to being this

put-upon minority they're used to being us against the world kind of thing and

losing that identity is extremely frustrating and threatening and it's not

terribly surprising when we look at other movements this is pretty typical

as I said even with early users of the internet they have

this phenomenon as well where they felt like they were being overtaken by all

these people who didn't know what they were doing and were ruining everything

and I think the vegan movement sometimes has the same attitude towards this what

can we do to help change this well I think veganism is going it's gone from

its first wave you know the tofu makers and soy milk makers in the 1960s who you

know lived on foods because they had you like they went to the store there was

nothing for them to eat except for Whole Foods and so that's what they mostly ate

then you have the second wake of the veganism with a lot of these new

companies that we're creating and are still creating a lot of plant-based

foods using thing products like seitan like wheat gluten things that are based on

tofu all these kinds of products and this kind of meat cognates and milk

cognates like silk soy milk and things like that and we're moving now I think

into the third wave of veganism which is going to be about completely replacing

animal agriculture with more sustainable options with removing animals from the

supply chain and from the production of food from the production of clothing

from our entertainment as we move towards more efficient more fun more

profitable enterprises that are completely different but it kind of

strips a lot of the identity away from the vegan movement it makes it less

about being a perfect pure person and about changing the food system and I

think that is very threatening to a lot of people what can we do to change that

well I think if you're a new vegan keep doing what you're doing and don't allow

people to make you feel like just because you're vegan because it's more

efficient that it's a terrible thing that you need to be first and foremost

an ethical vegan like I think that that it has its place it's very important but

we also need to be focused on the prize which is removing animal agriculture

from the system it's something that I want to make this channel completely

about this channel is about ending animal agriculture for the bennet of

humans for the benefit of the planet and for the benefit of the animals I think

that we need to be consistent and our messaging around this I think we need to

make it clear to people that are our foremost goal is removing animals from

our agriculture and clothing and entertain

systems that it is not really about being pure and being perfect we need to

let go of the sense that we are perfect special snowflakes just because we eat

differently than everyone else we need to be willing to share our ideas with

everyone else and we need to be able to put up with some of the foibles of

others because what we may perceive as a failing could actually end up becoming a

huge opportunity down the road things like plant-based meat especially

lab-created meat will have created milk things like that that are that are new

technology I think we should be embracing them and we also have to let

go of some of our heroes I think a lot of the people who are early leaders in

the vegan movement even if I think of somebody like Gary Yourofsky who

recently left left social media some of the people that were our early leaders

they're not going to be the people who are going to take us to the promised

land of a world without animals I think that some of the people who are early

leaders of the vegan movement are not going to be the saviors that are gonna

take us to the promised land sometimes those first leaders are not

the ones who are going to be able to take us there it happened with Moses in

the Bible and it's happening with a lot of our leaders in the vegan movement as

well a lot of the people who were instrumental in in veganism as an

ethical movement may not be part of the next step and I don't think that's

always true I think that there's definitely a place for a lot of

wonderful ethical action I have told you guys as well but I'm very impressed with

groups like direct action everywhere that are helping to make people feel

empowered helping to make people excited about ending animal agriculture about

changing the way that we view animals in our system and I think we need to all be

maybe a little bit less critical of each other be a little less critical of the

way of people engage in activism and kind of be like you know what go ahead

and do your thing and we can all work together because it's about working

together it's about changing the world and let's never number one more than

anything else let's never lose sight of the fact that our number one goal should

be ending animal agriculture what do you guys think about this please let me know

Will society ever collapse ? - Duration: 6:05.

First, the fact is that nowadays, there are less wars than before

and the tiny amount of nowadays' wars make less and less deaths than before, and last less and less.

So why would society collapse as things are going better and better ?

It'd be strange.

Secondly, on an ecological and natural point of view, things are really not that bad.

Of course nature is not going that well, but it's not that negative.

I'll make a video about it, to understand why there's still hope.

Those facts given, we can still hypothesize that a collapse will happen.

But this kind of dark predictions were already made in the past (and proven wrong).

In 1968, Paul Elrich wrote a book called "the Population Bomb"

assessing that the population growth in the 1970s and 1980s

would create lots of starvation, and great wars based on it

millions of dead people. But it just never happened.

Then, scare-mongering is sometimes (if not often) wrong.

Once again, I'll talk about it in a video about nature.

Jared Diamond wrote the book "Collapse"

where he depicts societies collapses that occured in the past.

He explains the factors that led to these collapse,

such as dependence on neighbors, human impact on nature, etc. (check description)

He suggests that when these 5 factors are gathered, we are in deep shit.

But ! A book called "questioning collapse" as an answer to this book.

In this book, scientists explain that indeed societies collapsed in the past because of these factors.

But it doesn't mean that societies that societies necessarily fall when those factors are encountered.

"Questioning collapse" authors explain that, when living hard times,

a society's survival is more a rule than an exception.

Therefore, collapses are more an exception than a rule.

One on the things that could make us think that collapse is unavoidable is population growth.

That was Thomas Malthus's prediction.

He suggested that agricultural overproduction would make population grow to a point where

there would not be enough food and ressources for all the world's population.

But !

When the "Population Bomb" and starvation wars never happened in the 1970s-80s

it was because food overproduction indeed creates population overgrowth.

But overpopulation means more people.Therefore it means that more brains can think about solutions to prevent people from starving.

Hence a balance between overpopulation and food/resources.

It seems that it is what is happening (and what happened in the past)

It can make us think that society will never collapse.

But we must remain careful.

Have you ever been watching the news and

you see a crime that is so terrible, so

bad, that it just makes you

burn with anger?

Perhaps the murder of innocent people.

A corrupt politician who uses his power to

exploit others.

Rape. Human trafficking. Child abuse. You

know there have been times when I've

seen stories that have just made my

blood boil. I just wish that I could

unleash my anger and get rid of that

evil, it's so bad. You know it's at

this point that some people ask the

question: Where is God? What is God

doing? Why doesn't God do something?

If God is good, if God is just, what is he

doing? You know we need to be very

careful with this line of thinking.

Because if that was God's mode of

operation that wherever he saw evil he

just instantly destroyed it. Sent down

lightning bolts. Then how long would it

be before he detected some evil in you

or in me? You see God's standard for evil

is much higher than our standard. We see

murder as evil, but God sees even a

hateful thought towards another as being

evil. Because he is holy and perfect any

offence against his commandments is an

offense against God. Rather we should

celebrate God's patience. He is slow to

anger and abounding in love

Romans chapter 3 says:

God was very patient and he

did not fully carry

out the full penalty for sin according

to the Old Covenantm but rather he waited

until the very right time. And that time

was when his son was upon the cross,

carrying all of our evil. And at that

time the father unleashed all of his

anger, all of his punishment, upon his own

son and he destroyed evil fully and

completely in him. Because of him you are

forgiven. It said that at the cross God's

love and his justice come together.

That's good news that can give us peace.

In 2011, Consumers Digest predicted that �Smart� Meters �represents little more than a boondoggle

that is being foisted on consumers by the politically influential companies�: �Why

Smart Meters Might Be a Dumb Idea.�

So it�s not all that surprising that so far � hundreds of thousands of �Smart�

Meters have been recalled and/or replaced throughout North America due to various reasons

including fires, explosions, general failure, and measurement errors. There are utility

companies who are already making plans to replace hundreds of thousands more.

All over the world, concerned citizens, elected officials, and organizations have been fighting

to keep �Smart� Meters out of their communities due to health, safety, privacy, and cybersecurity

concerns. When they haven�t been able to completely stop utilities, they fight for

the right to �opt out� of �Smart Meters� being installed on their homes and businesses.

Even proponents who originally gushed about �Smart� Meters seem to have changed their

tune. One example is Sara Jerome of Water Online:

From her 2015 article, �Tapping Into the Power of Smart Meters�:

The capabilities of smart water and electric meters are astounding, going far beyond what

consumers may normally associate with this technology. GreenTechMedia recently documented

just how powerful these devices can be.

From her June 2017, �Report Finds That Costs Still Make Smart Meter Tech A Tough Sell�:

�The cost of installing a smart meter is a] heavy lift no matter what the size of the

utility,� George Hawkins, DC Water�s chief executive officer and general manager, told

Bloomberg BNA.

Bummer.

Now back to the hundreds of thousands that have been replaced and/or recalled already

as well as the plans to replace more. This isn�t a complete list and it only includes

examples from North America. Problems are going on everywhere with these �Smart�

Meters. Certainly there are people profiting from them but it doesn�t seem to be the

consumers.

�Remote disconnect switch failure resulted in a recall of over 10,000 �smart� meters

in Lakeland, Florida where 6 house fires occurred.�

�More Fires, More Smart Meter Recalls for Sensus: Utilities pull 105,000 meters in Canada,

70,000 in Oregon; Sensus says it�s not at fault�

�Smart� meter-caused house fires in Pennsylvania

NV Energy has responded to 70 �consumed meters,� since it first started installing

them in 2010.

�Big rig crash into pole leads to power surge in Discovery Bay� � Besides the

exploding SmartMeters, one resident told us smoke and some flame was shooting out of the

outlets inside her home.

PG&E also had to replace 1,600 defective smart meters that inflated customers� electric

bills. Customers were given �scanty� refunds:

The coordinated propaganda campaign between the CPUC, PG&E and marketing firms that resulted

in the smart meter deployment couldn�t tolerate news such as the fact that 500,000 smart meters

were at risk for overcharging in hot weather.

Officials at the Public Service Company of Oklahoma say they will replace around 25,000

smart meters in the Tulsa metro area. Recently the manufacturer of these smart meters notified

The City of Santa Fe�s decision to replace its Firefly water-meter readers, installed

$6 million for the equipment and installation of 36,000 meters, and an additional $2 million

for service, software maintenance and cell tower space for signal transmission over the

10-year contract.

meters communicated with a central office using signals sent on power lines, a system

that Duke Kentucky said had technical limitations.

The system had a ten year warranty and now more than 6000 of those smart meters no longer

give out a signal. The parish CFO Ross Gonzales estimates by the end of the year more than

half of the registers will no longer transmit a signal.

Attorney Generals in Michigan, Illinois and Connecticut, rejected smart meter programs

citing �exorbitant costs to consumers with no proven benefits after testing a pilot program

with 10,000 customers.�

The minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has disclosed how God used a friend to bless him with N200 million after he prayed and fasted for three months, The Cable reports.

The money was used for his litigation fees to reclaim his mandate in the 2007 Rivers gubernatorial election, and to take care of personal necessities.

NAIJ. com gathers that the minister shared the testimony on Sunday, December 10, at a thanksgiving service in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.

Amaechi had headed to court after the Peoples Democratic Party presented his cousin, Celestine Omehia at the election, even after he had won the party's primary election. After the 6 month legal battle, the Supreme Court eventually sacked Omehia and installed Amaechi.

The minister stated: "We were so broke, we could not pay legal fees or children's school fees. My wife prayed every day and night. I was fasting and praying for three months.

"I told God, 'I have a friend who has money, please make him remember me. "I called my friend and he told me he has been looking for me. I told him I was in Ghana and he asked for my account.

He sent me two hundred million naira. This is just to tell you that I believed God and he answered me.

"We must all go back to God in faith and prayers. Those who want to leave can go. I have come to understand that God passes us through these challenges to prove himself.".

In a related development, NAIJ. com previously reported that Rotimi Amaechi, the former governor of Rivers state, stated that the prayers said on his behalf by priests and other Christians helped him to stand against his adversaries.
