WWE Superstar, Finn Balor, deserves a Universal Championship Match - WWE News - Duration: 4:34.

WWE Superstar, Finn Balor, deserves a Universal Championship Match - WWE News

Thanks to his impressive form since his return to action, Finn Balor should be granted a Universal Championship Match against the defending champion, Brock Lesnar, at the Royal Rumble.

In August 2016, and more specifically in WWE's biggest event of the summer, Summerslam, Finn Balor shocked the world and beat Seth Rollins to become the inaugural Universal Champion.

However, one day later, he was forced to relinquish his newly-acquired title, due to a shoulder injury that sidelined him for eight months. Since claiming the title, Brock Lesnar has successfully defended it by decimating every opponent he has faced.

For his part, Balor, who said he was waiting for a Universal Championship Match in order to take the title back, beat Bray Wyatt and was part of Raw Men's Team at Survivor Series, which prevailed over Smackdown Live's one.

Although he didn't have a decisive role in the match, Balor created a new rivalry with Samoe Joe and it seems the WWE prefers to promote this fight right now, with the two superstars facing each other on the Nov.

20 edition of Monday Night Raw. But, I don't think this bout can go any further than one or two more matches, so the question now is what is next for Balor, ahead of the 2018 Royal Rumble in January.

Given it still is too early for Lesnar's opponent to be revealed, I think Finn Balor would be the perfect option.

Certainly, he is a great talker on the microphone, while he is one of WWE Universe favourites, with the crowd always chanting his name.

In addition, he is impressive inside the ring, having worked very hard to become one of the best in-ring performers, while a match against the current champion would officially make him one of the top guys in the WWE.

Given that Lesnar has faced most of the RAW roster's top stars, like Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns, Balor probably is the best option right now and will have a great opportunity to become one of the company's faces.

However, WWE CEO, Vince McMahon, may have different plans, as, according to the rumours, Roman Reigns will challenge and beat Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34, which means the former UFC Champion will have successfully defended his title at the Royal Rumble in January.

That said, and if that's what the WWE is planning for the first pay-per-view of the year, then it may be wrong for Balor to face the "Beast", as a potential defeat to the current champion may lead to the Irish wrestler losing his momentum.

Overall, Finn Balor has been in great shape in the past few months and undoubtedly deserves a title opportunity to reclaim what he lost, due to injury.

But, if the WWE has different plans, then it would be better for him to have a Universal Championship Match after Wrestlemania 34, either against Lesnar or Reigns, in order to become a champion.

Until then, he will be able to face other top superstars, like Strowman for instance, and further enhance his in-ring performance.

How To Make Watermelon Head - Photoshop Manipulation Tutorial - Duration: 9:35.

Hello friends, welcome. I gonna show you how to make a watermelon head in Photoshop.

We'll use basic Photoshop tools at this manipulation tutorial. Let's get started.

I used two picture at this project.

One cutted watermelon and one man. I shared url of that images at description.

I'm using refine edge tool for a good selection.

Thus, the watermelon image will appear more compatible with other image.

Firstly, i'm selecting the man and delete it.

After, i'm filling deleted area with content-aware tool.

If i erase the hairs, a transparent area doesn't appear.

If you still don't subscribe, please subscribe and like the video.

You can comment if you want. I will definitely answer.

You can try different things instead of watermelon. Like a watch or a coin.

Thank you for watching my video. I hope this Photoshop manipulation tutorial helpful to you.

I recommend to watch my other Photoshop tutorials.

Please don't forget to like, subscribe and comment. Have a nice day.

Olympia Valance: 'I'm happy being single' - Duration: 15:32.

Olympia Valance: 'I'm happy being single'

It's been a whole year since we last caught up with Neighbours star Olympia Valance and the drama is as hot as ever on Ramsay Street.

Her character Paige has become a mother to son Gabe, but his dad Father Jack is off the scene.

After pairing her friend Elly with Mark, Paige fights her feelings, but she can't deny he's her crush.

If that wasn't enough, there's a murder mystery to deal with and missing sister Piper fights for her life, lost in the outback.

Poor Paige! "I think Paige is quite resilient," says Olympia.

"She's been through a lot in her life.

She's almost got married and had a baby in a shack.

Whatever happens, she'll be OK.".

Away from Ramsay Street, the rumour mill has been churning about Olympia's secret dates with One Direction heart-throb Niall Horan after she posted a picture ofthem on Instagram.

"We are quite close.

I see him when I come to London and he sees me when he's in Oz," Olympia explains.

"We've known each other for a couple of years now.

He spends a lot of time in Australia with his cousins." Here, the actress, 24, chats to TV Life about Neighbours, beauty secrets and visions of a soap-free future… How is Paige dealing with motherhood alone? Paige is part of a broken family and Jack isn't coping with her relationship with Mark.

It's the happy family he always wanted and he finds it hard to watch that from afar.

Paige and Mark have had their hurdles, too.

They're finally together, but there was a love triangle with her friend Elly.

Mark's in trouble, too, isn't he? That's right.

Hamish has been found murdered and Mark is a suspect.

Paige and Gabe are the last thing on his mind at the moment.

He's really worried that he might go to jail.

He's keeping Paige in the dark andthat has a bad affect on their relationship.

Is there any more drama to come? Oh yes.

Paige's sister Piper is pushed off a boat and almost dies.

It's such a good episode.

We've been out to the location with the crew.

It's down the coast in Victoria.

It's so beautiful, despite Piper being on the verge of death.

Are you at all similar to Paige? After being here for four years, my character can morph into me sometimes.

I watch myself on screen, but I'm so not ready to have a child.

I'm happy being single and I don't want to get married yet.

Our lives aren't similar at all.

You've become an auntie again.

Doesn't that make you broody? It's such great news, but Holly is at a very different point in her life.

I'm only 24.

I've got too much to do before I take that step.

Is it true that you might leave Neighbours and head for Los Angeles? Of course I think about the future and challenging myself with something else.

If it were to happen, I'd love to film something that wasn't a soap.

But at this stage I'm loving my job.

I don't want to leave.

If and when the time comes, what would you like to happen to Paige? I'd like to have a happily ever after.

She's been pushed around by the men in her life.

The only true happiness she's felt is when she had her child.

It would be nice to see her with a man that could love and protect her, whether that's Mark or Jack or anyone! What are you up to in your personal life at the moment? I've just been on holiday.

I'm having a chill time right now as my job gets quite exhausting.

I've planned a few more holidays for the end of the year.

I'm resting up now but I hope next year will be a massive year for me. .

What beauty products do you swear by? MAC Face And Body Foundation. I carry it with me everywhere.

It's so light and gives me a natural look.

What are your go-to cosmetics? Lip gloss and moisturiser.

I always like my skin to look dewy and – I hate this word – moist.

I have a huge make-up kit.

It's ridiculous how much I travel with – hundreds of brushes, mascaras and lipsticks.

I use them all.

Do you wear make-up every day? I get a full face of make-up every day because I work in television.

If it's just a normal day, I'll put a bit of MAC Face And Body Foundation in my hands and apply it like a moisturiser.

When I'm on holiday, I hardly wear any make-up at all.

It feels so good.

What's your top beauty tip? I have a trick that I use if I get pimples.

I learnt it by watching drag make-up.

If you create little dots over them with an eyebrow pencil, they look like freckles instead.

Do you diet? I have to keep to a routine because I'm on TV.

I love feeling healthy.

I eat a well-balanced diet but I'm a huge foodie, too.I will treat myself now and then.

How do you stay in shape? I go to the gym.

There's a place called F45 in Australia.

There's one in London Bridge apparently.

I use the app to choose a time and smash out a 45-minute session. .

Is there a part of your body you would change? Probably my hands.

I have chubby fingers.

My sister Holly has beautiful, dainty fingers.

Mine are rough and stumpy.

Would you ever consider going under the knife and having cosmetic surgery? Maybe when I get old and wrinkly, but at this stage, no.

What's your signature fragrance? My go-to perfume is Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel.

Which women do you think are naturally beautiful? The most beautiful woman I know is my mother.

She's so beautiful on the outside, and even more beautiful on the inside.

She's the most generous, kind, giving person I know.

If I turn out like her, I'll be a very lucky lady.

If you had to describe your style, what would you say? If I'm on the red carpet, I like a daring and dramatic look.

I like to take risks.

My everyday style is classic.

Do you have a favourite shop that you turn to when it comes to buying clothes? I always get overwhelmed when I go into the high-street stores.

I bought a jumper from H&M while I was in Greece this year.

Instagram went wild for it.

It was £10!  .

What about designers? I really love what Gucci's doing at the moment.

I also love the classic style of Chanel.

The pieces I buy I will keep forever.

Who are your style icons? My number one is Olivia Palermo.

She finds the perfect balance between being original and creative while remaining effortlessly chic.

I also love Monica Rose, the stylist.

She uses lots of brands that people don't know about.

Have you had any fashion disasters you can tell us about? There was one in the UK on the red carpet.

You could see my boob tape.

It was a bit embarrassing but I didn't care too much.

It could have been much worse.

How do you pamper yourself when you get time off? I like to go to the Crown casino in Melbourne.

Me and my girlfriend go to the spa for a massage and a facial, have lunch at Nobu then watch a movie at the cinema.

What's your favourite hairstyle? An effortless beachy wave.

It's really, really hard to achieve.

My hairdresser in Melbourne, Lauren Mackellar, nails it.

I try to do it myself and it's impossible.

Neighbours is on at 1.45pm and 5.30pm, weekdays on Channel 5.

5 TOP PLACES IN JAPAN by Sebastiano Serafini - Duration: 5:24.

Hello everybody, I'm Sebastiano Serafini and welcome to my channel!

Today I'm filming in my house, for the first time,

you will see my house

that I'm going to show in another video.

If you're new to this channel, my name is Sebastiano Serafini

if you want to subscribe, do it and also if you don't want to, because I like it when you sign up against your will.

Today I would like to talk about different landscapes, in japanese Keshiki.

I wanted to do a ranking, after consulting with some Japanese people

and after spending a long afternoon talking about Kenshiki.

The question was: Which are our 5 favourite places in Japan?

those who have a breathtaking view.

Mount Fuji didn't make it in this chart

yes, there are a lot of beautiful places where you can see the mount Fuji,

but in our opinion there are 5 other beautiful places that deserve more.

In the 5th position we have Yakushima,

Yakushima is one of the okinawan islands,

I like more the ishigaki island,

but since Yakushima became more popular during these years,

well, to go to one of these islands is a little bit expensive, compared to the main okinawan island.

We like this island because there is nobody, so we like it...

and we putted this beautiful seaside in this position,

it's a really decent position and shima means island in japanese

so, other japanese lesson.

In 4th position we have Yoshino

Yoshino is a mountain on the Nara island

we putted Yoshino, because 1st thing there are a lot of beautiful and nice roe deer,

because of that they achieve the 4th position,

and also because during the time of the Kojo (autumn leaves)

this place changes color from red, yellow and orange

and it's very beautiful!

I recommend to go there in early december or at the end of november, because it's very beautiful!

and it's the right time to see the autumn leaves.

In 3rd position we have Nagasaki

it's another beautiful city,

it has one of the most beautiful night views (yakei in japanese), it's one of the 3 most beautiful in the world.

There is a ranking made by someone that says

that the nicest night views in the world are:

Trento, ah no it's only on 4th position,

they put Monaco, I was there last summer, beautiful place

and also the beautiful Hong Kong.

In 2nd position we have Furano,

I recommend you to go in summer, because it's a wonderful place in Hokkaido,

north of Japan.

Furano is really beautiful, there are a lot of lavender flowers and other wonderful flowers,

it's very colorful and it has wonderful landscapes.

And if you want to see some night view I recommend Otaru,

since there was a night view in third position, we decided to put Furano in second position.

In fist position

I didn't know what to put,

I absolutely wanted to put Kyoto, because

there are two reasons:

first one is that I wanted to put a place that only in Japan exists,

and something extremely Japanese.

Kyoto is officially in first position and above all places of we deicded to take...

there are temples all over Kyoto,

we decided to take the Kiyomizu-dera

it's a beautiful temple and I recommend it when the cherry trees blossom (Sakura),

because everything is pink and when it's windy you will see all petals floating in the air.

It's fantastic and I think it's the most beautiful place in Japan to visit.

I'm not sure that everyone agree with my ranking,

if you know other places that would deserve to enter in the ranking, let me know.

Sincerely I couldn't choose,

because all of these places are number one.

Last thing, I didn't put Hashima island,

but I'm giving her a consolation prize,

it's an abandoned island

and they took inspiration for the forbidden siren horror game

and they also filmed Attack of Titan

and also some Batman scenes, I don't know which one.

One day everyone did move from this island, I know the reason, but it's a little long, maybe I'm doing a separate video

let me know if you want the separate video of Hashima island.

I tried to shoot a MV there, but I had some problems with the authorizations,

it's also a little bit far.

Maybe if I'm going there I would do a video, but in the future,

because I want to show you also some things that I do with my cellphone.

Well, let me know what your thoughts are about this ranking,

let me know in the comments which place you would like to visit the most.

See you tommorrow always at 2pm (GMT+1) with another wonderful video

Thank you for beeing here and kisses

2 years with a Filson Bell Bomber Jacket: 100% wool, Made in USA workwear? - Duration: 6:42.

Are you familiar with Filson, the Carhartt for the 1% or maybe top 5%- maybe theres a

YouTube economist who breaks that down income levels and clothing brands.

Theyre an old brand established in 1897 and bought out by Bedrock manufacturing in 2012

buy a guy who saw a potential in marketing and thought rich farmhands, fishermen, and

lumberjacks would love this shit probably.

While ? of their stuff is made in a country known only as imported, some is made here

in the USA (with imported materials).

Which is the good Filson Unless you think a $125 imported flannel shirt from filson

is better than a $20 imported flannel shirt from Walmart.

Now you may not know that approximately 70% of what I do in life is pretend shop on the

internet for stuff I dont need and because of that I got Filson curious a few years ago.

I decided a Mackinaw cruiser was something I needed in life and bought one that was too

big off eBay.

Oops!

But through Reddit I learned Filson has a big sale a sale twice a year which I bought

the Filson Bell Bomber about 2 years ago in super extreme limited edition Harris Tweed

wool.

I paid $125 for it when it generally retails for $350 which I assume is the sort of workwear

aimed at those poor family farmers lobbying for the end of the estate tax.

The Bell bomber is a staple of the Filson catalog it comes in many different fabrics

but the gist is its a short cut jacket that sits above the hips with a lot of pockets.

And while the Harris Tweed version isnt currently made you can still find the regular wool ones,

which to me looks like a black and gray version of this one.

Lets assume the fabric feel and weave, construction, and wool thickness is similar between the

regular wool bell bomber and this one.

Or dont.

Its the best I could tell staring at product photos for 20 minutes- a real good use of

time.

Lets look at the construction first.

And youre like so were doing fashion reviews now huh?

If youre familiar with the dense weave of a mackinaw cruiser that truly can take a beating

well this is its cousin that shops at OG whole foods before internet walmart bought it out.

The mackinaw cruisers wool is pretty abrasion resistant, but this is more made from woven

wool multicolored pretty yarn.

And you might say oh a rug!

Occasionally I have had keys poke through but not damage the pocket, because it isnt

dense.

The jacket itself isnt blanket lined, and has a thin rayon liner that has a basic duty

to keep the itches down and not provide warmth.

The wool exterior is a bit amorphous and not rigid, and keeps you warm in non windy above

freezing temperatures.

Think high 30s-50s F , in dry weather.

The wool is technically known as medium scratchy so the collar isnt line and can rub you the

wrong way if your neck is exposed under the collar.

But whats great about is, I can wear it in cold rooms indoors, at my semi fancy place

of work, and also outdoors the place jackets are designed for.

The wool has a lot of different colors in it, so you might wear it with a lot of things.

It looks greyish brown but theres yellow and red or whatever left over wool thread Harris

Tweed found on the factory floor... probably.

My favorite part is the pockets, which arent lined either.

Great for a bunch of wadded receipts, knives, flashlights, and whatever.

Since this is made from a wool yarn, I would not recommend overloading the pockets, because

wool can sometimes tear if stressed.

Im talking pounds of stuff rather than normal pocket stuff.

The side pockets extend around the side of the waist and can look lumpy sometimes.

The pockets have snaps, which work well.

Well one thing I dont like is there arent any vertical hand pockets.

So bring gloves if you dont want cold hands.

The Bell bomber is a basic style though, and there are versions made from heavier fabric,

some with blanket lining, some with the denser mackinaw style wool, and more but fit and

basic shape remains similar.

And every year they seem to discontinue a fabric, to reintroduce it later.

The zipper on the jacket is a heavy duty brass gold colored beast which is probably the most

durable work friendly part of the jacket.

You can also zip up from the bottom without having to zip downward...

I guess it would help if you have to get a tool off you belt or your hunting knife.

As far as the fit goes Im 6ft about 180lbs with a gut that I suck in for these videos

theres enough room in this jacket without being constricting or overly large.

Its not quite as baggy as a Carhartt medium coat..

I think this is considered Filsons Seattle fit, which is a bit slimmer than their Alaska

fit.

Complaints?

I wish the wool was a denser weave, but as it stands its not a chore coat or work coat.

I purchased this on sale not knowing exactly what to expect and one day I will probably

get a better fitting mackinaw cruiser, because I have no self control.

I wear this jacket daily in the winter.

It doesnt have a hood, so you might need a scarf or hat if your one of those people.

Or layer an American Giant hoody underneath it.The only problem Ive had is one of the

armpits the rayon liner has come un-threaded.

I have not repaired it yet, because it hasnt been a problem.

Its a nice looking utility jacket for cool weather, but not hard use.

I don't have any real fashion sense so it works well with slacks and a dress shirt or

jeans.

If I had to place a value on it I'd say $250 maximum.

I like it, but theres not too much to it.

The buttons on the sleeve cuffs are not functional which would be worth another $150 to me if

they fixed that issue.

And thats what I based my whole decision on.

If you believe that and like this review, put prefer every day carry reviews over fashion

show, subscribe to this channel give this video a thumbs up, comment and go buy a Carhartt

if you want a jacket you can work in and not look like a prick.

Thanks for watching!

week it just it's just awesome it's just nice to take a step back from my regular

life my lifting my work I haven't really sticking stuff back from YouTube but now

I have in a way and I it's been so so nice to me cuz just because I was kind

of just slog you know slogging along there slogging along doing day by day I

don't know it's just you kind of have to get away for I want to say you have to

get away for a week and let that second week is like really golden you know I'm

just really hmm I'm thinking a little different about things I don't I don't

know I don't know too much different but I'm just really like man I'm really

excited that I built my business up and I'm thinking about all the things I'm

gonna do like oh I said oh Christmas car and get everybody up to date on the

QuickBooks and then I'm going to do some 1099s next year then I'm gonna have the

best year all like I'm so excited about my uh my business and getting back to it

and growing it some more I'm excited that I've given my body a little bit of

rest and you know I'm excited to get back in the rhythm of lifting I think I

really think I should go back I really should go to five days a week lifting

and two days outside in the Sun like playing basketball or getting some

cardio here I'm really waiting things

what am i you know missing from this vacation I'm missing uh-oh like I I

really missed starting my day out or or at some part of the day I'm just getting

it putting my headphones on I'm just getting a nice sweat like that's what I

mean that's what I feel like I missed right now and I just had an indoor

workout here but I didn't get the I don't really got a full sweat that's

another thing too I was I have Moyes and LA Fitness and I'm thinking there's the

only Fitness around here too so I think I want to go there tomorrow I'm here I'm

here house-sitting for on vacation for let's see it's Sunday so I have Monday

Tuesday like all to myself private this is like an air B&B

basically don't Oh criminy they're gonna watch well I'm watching the dog so I

feel like they said I'm doing them a favor oh and the fish in the betta fish

so it's not an alpha fish hey you guys I hope you guys are having the best time

at Disneyland take pictures for uncle Dorne gosh I just adore a little miss

Lilly I hope she's having just the best time yeah yeah I'm house-sitting for my

for my family friend my friend my family I gotta make a board for that that

friends that are like family hmm I'll get back to you guys on that but they

went to where do they go uh I'm excited for I'm really excited for they went to

at Walt Disney World in Orlando I'm in Tampa right here and and yeah I I was

with them for Thanksgiving so that was just a few days ago so I just stayed

here and I'm watching the house and I mean yeah you can't beat this like this

vacation life so I feel like I've gotten away from my office

even though I have some even though I have something to to do tomorrow anyways

this is getting kinda this is getting kind of long here what I wanted I guess

what I wanted to say is I'm looking at I kind of before this vacation looked at

vacation as like oh you don't need it like I need to make money like I don't

need to go on vacation I need to make money uh you know and I just think that

it was nice it's a very nice break and I think if you go over a 52 week schedule

that's what I'm trying I'm not trying to play just for today tonight or tomorrow

I'm trying to play for five years ten years you know that's what's worked for

me because when I first went to Community College I was planning on CPA

and it took me seven years now I was like the best thing I've ever done and

so yeah I took kind of a risk you out on law a long chess game and so what I'm

saying is if you take a vacation I want to say two weeks because that

first week I'm kind of like oh like in like in the rigid you know like thinking

about work I should be at work and and it's somewhere in the second

week I'm just like like man yeah it's my life like what I want to do with my life

yeah like the second week so I I personally feel as an entrepreneur and I

think I'm mister goals and everything and that's why this vacation was hard

for me to go on and I kind of have I had to make myself go on this vacation

I almost didn't go a couple times I just wanted to I thought about how much how

much I could get done at work especially over the holidays he's everyone be their

family and I could just work and not be bothered so I had to push myself I'm

thinking over a you know what I'm gonna go I'm gonna play even more chess I'm

thinking over a five-year period no vacations over a five-year period how my

income I I really think my because I'm going to start doing I'm gonna start

going just just even harder than I ever have

for fifty weeks like crazy hard out of the year fifty weeks out of the year and

then I'm just gonna go on vacation for two weeks and buy my by vacation I mean

I still do what I need to do I still work a little bit my vacation is

probably different than somebody else's vacation but that's okay

get out of that I'll get out of it get out of an office and get out of my

normal schedule for me I can't just drop everything I feel like I'll make more

money with take in the next five years I feel like I'll make more money taking a

two-week break every year versus not taking any vacations at all so what's

that ten weeks like I'm saying I'll make more money vacationing for ten weeks

instead of working for ten weeks I'm gonna make more money going on vacation

which is kind of a minder thing but I feel so rejuvenated right now that yeah

that's just what I'm thinking and also I was thinking of God was lifting I was

thinking about this video I was thinking that oh I know there's gonna be some

people saying I can't go on a two-week vacation I can't afford that well then

do something different with your life I mean that's that's that's all I'm saying

like do something different why is it the money on vacation

you know I haven't spent much money on this vacation I'm having a great

vacation but I understand like you have bills so then you know you might not be

making money I'm just saying if you're living if you're living like that and a

lot of people don't really enjoy their day-to-day like a lot of people to go to

go to a job they do not like I go to a job that I love my I love my everyday so

that it was hard for me to go on vacation but I feel like maybe two weeks

is a little ambitious but maybe a long weekend with the people the people you

some people you care about you know if you don't care about anybody

along weekend by yourself along just something different you know maybe I

really feel this two weeks is great though you know so I I don't know if you

haven't been on vacation while then I think you're really I think you're

really missing out I feel like I'm kind of evolving a little bit I kind of just

want to get I kind of just want to get this out that's a new thought obviously

because I'm on vacation and I'm and I'm just and today I was thinking a little

bit like I was doing a little bit of work for my computer because wherever

there's Wi-Fi can it can work but I was doing a little bit of work and I was

thinking just how ready I am to get back to my life like my my business my

lifting my my eating just just my lifestyle I'm so ready for my lifestyle

and I did not have this much passion for my lifestyle nine days ago I was just

kind of like sometimes I would get a little depressed by it but I'm like gosh

I love my life I love my life but I kind of have to go

on vacation to see that and that's just an observation for me and you're nothing

a direction of this channel is going to go is why it's just a motivational

hard-working entrepreneurship anyways this is go

vacation to make more money CPA strength and I'm out dude

Holiday Card Series 2017 - Day 15 - Focal Point Color - Duration: 6:26.

(holiday instrumental)

- [Kristina] Hi everyone, Kristina here.

Welcome to Day 15 of the Holiday Card Series for 2017.

Today I'm using a limited edition stamp set

from Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp.

This is called Friends Forever, and what they've done

is they've taken some amazing images

from previous exclusive stamp sets from Lawn Fawn

that were sold with Simon

and they combined them into one stamp set.

So if you've ever been sad that you missed out

on the chance to set some Lawn Fawn stamp sets

that were exclusive,

some of those images could be in this stamp set

and it's a limited quantities type of situation,

so if you want any of these images

or if you want the stamp set,

you might want to grab it as soon as you can.

So I started out by cutting and scoring some cardstock.

The cardstock I'm using today is Desert Storm from Neenah,

and this is the 100-pound version,

and I just scored that to create a top-folding card.

I then stamped the little mouse image

and the greeting "Merry Christmouse,"

instead of "Christmas," and I stamped that

in some Chestnut Roan Colorbox chalk ink

and what I'm doing, my plan is, is that I'm going to

color that one mouse that's perfectly straight

right above the greeting,

I'm going to color that one as usual.

It's going to kind of a white mouse

with a red and green present,

and then the rest of the mice will be a brown shade.

So they're going to sort of kind of fade in background.

Be sure to use some pretty bold lines

to fade completely in the background,

but by coloring them in all brown shades,

they'll kind of fade to the back

and then that allows the one mouse that's colored completely

to sort of be the focal point.

So I'm sort of calling this focal-point coloring

because by using the same tones,

kind of monochromatic tones elsewhere on the card,

it really helps that focal point stand out.

So as far as coloring all of the brown mice,

I decided to do that with a blender pen from Tombow.

This is one of their dual-brush pens

and this is just the clear color,

and I'm picking up some of that

same Colorbox Chestnut Roan ink from a block.

I just smushed that inkpad on the block

and I'm just dabbing one little dot

on the tip of this marker

and then bringing it over to my project

and sort of smearing and smudging that color on.

Now when you do this, you want to be pretty stingy

with what color you pick up with your marker

'cause it will go a really long way if you're not careful,

and when you're done coloring, you can just scribble out

onto some paper and it sort of uses up all of that color

that's in the marker and then it just leaves you

with a nice clean marker.

The tip of the marker will be stained

but no color should be coming out.

So now I'm going on to the main focal point coloring

and I'm just using some

Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils for this

and I'm starting out by coloring the body of the mouse

in all white, and I want to make sure

there's a nice white coating, and then I'm gonna go in

and color in the pink on the ears of the mouse

and I'm also going to add a little bit of a pink cheek.

So I think it's always really cute

that the characters have a little bit of a blush;

it gives him a little bit more character.

So I'm gonna bring in that white over that pink area

just to blend it out a little bit.

Then I'm gonna bring in a red colored pencil

and I'm going to color the ribbon on the gift

and I'm going to make sure I do the bow at the top

and also the ribbon coming down.

And then switch to a nice lime-green shade

and I'm coloring the actual body of the gift, the box area,

and I'm just making sure that I get all of that on there.

So I'm actually gonna go back

and add a little bit of shading around the mouse

because it looked just a little bit too flat for me,

so I'm just bring in a really light-brown shade

and I'm going to add a little bit of shading

exactly where I had it on all of the brown mice,

so kind of like his backside and under the present

and then on the ears.

And I'll come back in with that white and go over that area,

and that kind of softens out that color.

So I'm pretty much done with the mouse image.

I'm just going to add a little bit of a shadow underneath,

and I'm using a brown instead of a black

which is what I would normally use for a shadow

just because there is quite a lot of brown going on.

So I have these three pens from Sakura

that they sent to me; they're all Gelly Roll.

They're actually three different sizes

of white Gelly Roll pens.

So this is really kind of fun, these are brand-new,

to have multiple sizes,

and you can get these at Simon Says Stamp

or at other places where you would buy Gelly Roll pens.

I really like that there are three different sizes.

I'm using the 0.5, which is the smallest fine point.

And then I took a sparkle pen,

this is a clear sparkle pen

from Crafter's Companion's Spectrum Noir,

just added it on the red.

And I'm gonna take off this Post-It tape.

I just put that up at the top

so that I could stamp off the corner area or at the fold

and it would not go into the back of the card.

I then took some white embroidery floss

and wrapped that around the card

just for a little bit of interest.

I thought it kind of mimicked the present idea

of all of these mice holding gifts.

This is the card for today.

This is actually part of a Blog Hop

celebrating the stamp set release.

So if you would like to see more inspiration

all using that stamp set, please head over to my blog,

or if you're at my blog, just scroll down

and you can hop along to all of the other

inspiration blog posts.

Thanks for watching today,

and I will catch you guys on Wednesday

for Day 16 of the Holiday Card Series.

In the democracy committee we have a motto

which is: Without you, no democracy?

and it means that everyone can be involved and influence

This means that we can assure the quality of our democracy

That they raise the issue

I say that every vote counts

thats why it is important that your vote

For everyone has a vote and you should use it

That's why it is important to vote

for us to have a democratic society

If you do not vote, and a party wins

which you think is wrong, you have not made your choice

You could have affected

In order to influence society, I would answer that question

It is much the tax would say

How the tax should be divided

The same opportunities wherever you come from

The school is very important for me right now

That all young people have the same opportunities

to get a picture of what the politics is

The importance of that they actual vote

We just have to take care of all their drive

and all their ideas

Talk more ideas and thoughts from a bigger perspective

That we do not talk in these politicians terms

Rewarding to explain to them

and give them opportunities

How To Avoid Traps When Asking For A Raise? - Duration: 6:09.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I got a question from Francisco Quintero.

I think that's a made-up name because that's too cool of a name.

I don't know, Francisco.

I'll go with it.

Maybe it's your stage name.

I like it.

He says, "Does my commitment deserve a salary raise?"

That's the question.

He says, "There have been a couple of weekends I've had to do some work, no big deal, nothing

that would take me a whole day to do, but those days start to add and it seems to be

something that is going to continue down the road.

Should I ask for a salary raise that would compensate my extra effort?"

He says, "Additional info: I understand sometimes we should show some level of commitment with

the project/company and I have no problem doing it from time to time, but with this

project it starts to feel different, more demanding."

Okay, so I've done some videos—I think I did a video on should you work overtime.

You should check out that video definitely so you're not taken advantage of or I think

it was called like Should I Work Extra Hours for my Employer or something like that.

I don't know.

Hopefully we could find the video.

In this case, so I'm going to give you sort of a different advice.

You should ask for a raise, yes, always, because you're doing such a good job.

It has nothing to do with you working overtime.

Now, if you're going to work a lot of overtime—see, I'm against working a lot of overtime.

I don't want you to—here's the thing.

This is a trap that you could go down.

Let's say that you go to your boss and you're like, "Dude, here—" don't call him dude,

but you say like, "Here's the deal.

I'm working a lot more hours.

When I signed up for this job—it's cool, it's cool, I like it.

I love the company.

You're an awesome guy.

That's a nice shirt.

But here's the thing, so you have me coming in on weekends now.

I'm okay with that.

That's cool, but I'm doing more work, so you need to pay me more."

He says, "I don't know.

Let me talk—" and then finally he gives you some money, he throws you some money.

Then what happens now is you're stuck because you've made the case for getting a raise,

your basis for getting a raise is that you're coming in on weekends.

Guess what you're going to be doing for the whole fuckin' rest of your life at that job.

You're going to be coming in for weekends because that's what you're being paid to do

now.

You see what I'm saying?

So, yes get a raise but do not make it because you're coming in on weekends.

It's no good.

It's no good.

You don't want to be trapped in that.

You see what I'm saying?

That's a bargain that you don't want to sign.

Instead, you go to your boss and you say, "Hey look, I've taken on more responsibility"

it doesn't mean on weekends, right?

Or you say, "Hey, I provide a lot of value for this company" and you show the value,

and you have a folder.

I always say have a kudos folder.

I did this video, I think, a while back on creating weekly reports.

If you can't find the video or—the whole point of it is that you can have a bunch of

stuff that you work on and you save this up in your kudos folder or whatever, and all

these things, so that when you go in for a raise which actually, I will tell you, that

in my other book though, in The Complete Software Developer's Career Guide, I'm just going to

plug all my books here, in that book I do tell you exactly how to get a raise, exactly

how to do it, step by step how to do it.

What it is is that what oy want to do is you want to show a lot of accomplishments, you

want to show your value.

You never want to come in and you never want to be like, "I had a new kid and I need more

money" or "My rent went up."

Your boss doesn't' give a shit about you.

Honestly.

Fine.

Maybe your boss does, but the business doesn't, the business doesn't.

What you've got to have is you've got to have a reason why you're creating more value, why

it's worth it.

That's the position that you have to come from.

Again, yes, should you get a raise?

Of course!

Should you ask for the raise on the basis that you're coming in on weekends?

No.

Let's not get into that trap.

Instead, what you want to do is you want to figure out why are you more valuable to the

company, what value are you creating right now that they should be paying you for, and

make a really good argument and case for it.

Keep on doing it.

Always ask for the raise.

Always ask for the raise.

Why not?

Why not?

The worst that could happen is you get turned down and then you just keep on trying.

I mean no one ever gets something—like your boss isn't going to be like, "Hey, I think

I'm just going to give you a raise."

Maybe in a review or something, but it's not going to—you're not going to get what you

don't ask for, so I'm always asking for stuff.

I'm asking people for crazy shit.

Sometimes people just give me stuff, but I'm always asking.

I'm always asking.

I'm out there asking.

Be asking.

Grant Cardone has a good—he says—I love what he says.

He's like, "You've got to find out who has your money, who has my money.

Who's got your money?"

I like that because then you're asking it.

That's my money.

You've got it.

I want it.

That's kind of the attitude that you've got to have with this, but don't fall into that

trap.

Don't fall into traps of working weekends all the time as well.

Once you start this—you've got to really have boundaries and say, "I work 40 hours

a week."

It doesn't mean you never come in, it doesn't mean you never help your employee when there's

a pinch on a project or whatever, but you've got to have those boundaries, otherwise you're

going to be—you've got to play it forward and think about if you want to live your whole

life this way.

Because once you start to erode those boundaries and you let people start to take advantage

of you, whether they need to or not, then you start to lose that ground and it's really

hard to gain that ground back.

Gaining that ground back is really, really difficult.

Think about things.

Play it forward.

I wish you the best.

I hope you get a raise.

Let me know.

Send me an email.

I want to hear about your raise.

All right, by the way, you can send me an email if you want me to answer your question.
