What The World Doesn't Know About Meghan McCain - Duration: 5:06.

Meghan McCain is the daughter of U.S. Senator John McCain.

Now an outspoken political pundit, Meghan rose to prominence during her dad's failed

2008 presidential bid.

She's been a blogger, author, radio host, and Fox News contributor before landing a

seat as a co-host on The View.

Let's take a look at what you don't know about this buzzy influencer.

Interning at SNL

After graduating from Columbia University in 2007, Meghan landed a coveted internship

at SNL.

She told Playboy she served as Lorne Michaels' assistant, which basically meant that she

quote, "Spent most of the day getting coffee and filling up the popcorn bucket."

But she wasn't all ga-ga over her experience.

She said,

"I think everybody should have a crappy internship so they realize what a b---- it is getting

other people's sh--- work done."

Presidential blogger

Fresh out of college, Meghan joined her dad's 2008 campaign along with photographer Heather

Brand and producer Shannon Bae.

Together they created the now-defunct McCain Blogette, which captured the lighter side

of the campaign.

McCain told the LA Times that she started the blog to help younger voters understand

campaigning, and to

"...strip away the mystery with a behind-the-scenes look at her family and closed-press events."

While the LA Times reported that McCain's blog became a lightning rod for criticism,

for better or worse, the blog catapulted Meghan onto the world stage.

Best-seller

In 2008, Meghan published the children's book, My Dad, John McCain, which made its way onto

The New York Times Best Sellers list.

In 2010, she released Dirty Sexy Politics, followed by 2012's America, You Sexy Bitch.

It's a collaboration with left-leaning comedian and actor, Michael Ian Black, which according

to the LA Times, came about because Black got

"...stoned on Ambien one night and tweeted [Meghan]: 'We should write a book together!'"

Handling the shamers

Meghan revealed to Forbes that she had to go to therapy to cope with people's reactions

to her body.

"I think people don't understand why I haven't lost a bunch of weight right now, because

all women in the media should lose a bunch of weight if they want to go on television

totalk about anything."

For instance, there was the time she tweeted a cleavage-baring pic, which resulted in her

being called a "slut," according to Us Weekly.

Right-wing blogger Dan Riehl called her "Meggie 'Big Mac' McCain" and remarked,

"This self-indulgent set of mega-breasts doesn't belong anywhere near a TV studio commenting

on anything."

But he wasn't the only one to pile on.

After accusing right-wing darling Ann Coulter of being

"Offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time."

in one of her Daily Beast columns, Meghan drew the ire of another conservative commentator,

Laura Ingraham.

According to CNN, Ingraham lashed out at Meghan on her radio show, calling the senator's daughter

"A Valley Girl gone awry and a plus-sized model."

Meghan attempted a "high road" approach by embracing her body, encouraging others to

do the same, and dropping the mic with:

"[Ingraham] responded in a form that was embarrassing to herself and to any woman listening to her

radio program who was not a size 0."

Daddy's girl

You'd be hard pressed to find a fiercer supporter of John McCain than his daughter.

In 2013, she revealed their deep bond, telling Elle,

"I've never had an instance where something I've said publicly has gotten in the way of

my relationship with my dad.

He gave an interview a year ago where he said 'I may not agree with her but I respect her

views.'"

When Senator McCain went public with his recent cancer diagnosis, it was Meghan who tweeted:

"My love for my father is boundless, and like any daughter I cannot and do not wish to be

in a world without him."

"He is my strength, my example, my refuge, my confidante, my teacher, my hero—my dad."

Anti-Trump

Though she hasn't shied away from her liberal leanings, Meghan is still a card-carrying

member of the GOP.

However, she refuses to board the Trump Train.

In March 2016, she wrote in Cosmo,

"Donald Trump has hijacked my party and turned it into something dark that I do not recognize."

Meghan has referred to Trump's many Twitter hiccups as, quote "self-inflicted wounds"

that are hindering the party's ability to pass its agenda.

Now that she's stepped away from the conservative-leaning Fox News, she may lean in further on her criticisms

of Trump.

Advocacy

A longtime supporter of gay marriage, McCain wrote a column for the Daily Beast in 2010

called "Memo to the GOP: Go Gay," in which she argued that

"Reaching out to the gay community…is vital to the future success of the party."

She also posed for the NoH8 campaign protesting California's Prop 8 amendment, which banned

same-sex marriage in the state constitution.

She said,

"Marriage equality is not just a Democrat or Republican issue, it is a human one."

Previously a member of the board of directors of GLAAD, PageSix reported Meghan was awarded

the "Trevor Project NextGen's first Ally Award for her support of the LGBTQ community" in

2015.

In her acceptance speech, she acknowledged the long road ahead, saying,

"Marriage equality has passed, but people can still get fired…for being gay or being

trans.

That is not American, and that is not the America I believe in."

The Lean Startup - 5 Keys to a Successful Minimum Viable Product Launch - Duration: 5:20.

So you're planning to launch a product?

A Minimum Viable Product.

Excellent.

Here are FIVE things that you need to know.

And stick around to the end for your FREE Lean Startup Cheat Sheet

My name is Gary Straughan

This is Development That Pays

Just over a month ago, our adventure into Lean

- that's "Lean" as in "The Lean Startup"

reached an interesting stage.

I launched a product.

A Minimum Viable Product.

The "Course of Some Kind" crystalised into

"Scrum vs Kanban - the Mini-course".

Here are FIVE things that I learned along the way.

1: Launch before you're ready

Are you the kind of person that hears

"Done Is Better Than Perfect"

or "Shipping beats perfection"

And thinks:

Really?

Are you sure?

If so, you're in good company.

Hello.

My name is Gary.

I'm perfectionist.

October was hell for me.

My task was take existing material and to repurpose it into a mini-course.

That doesn't sound like a recipe for torment.

But the more I worked on the course, the less I liked it.

I wanted to rip it up and start again.

If this sounds like you, then take a note from Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn

"If You're Not Embarrassed By The First Version Of Your Product, You've Launched Too Late"

So pick and date.

And launch.

Before you're ready.

Bonus Tip:

Set things up so that the date can't be moved.

I wrote the launch into an episode of Development that Pays.

At that point, I was committed.

2: Remember that there are more moving parts than you think.

Your focus will the on the product.

That's only natural.

But a product won't launch itself.

I had my three videos.

I also had an email service capable of sending time-delayed emails.

Three videos.

Three emails.

Simples.

But it's probably not a great idea to send people direct to the video;

I'll need a page for each of them

And I'm going to need a form - so that people can sign up.

And the form is going to need page to "live on".

And….

I think you get the message.

3: Launch to a limited audience

Although it's important to launch before you're ready,

you don't have to be damn fool about it:

Not everyone has to see your "warts and all" version.

So launch… but make it a soft launch.

Wikipedia defines a soft launch as

a preview release of a product or service to a limited audience prior to the general

public.

In the case of the "Scrum vs Kanban the Mini Course", I "hid" the announcement

in a "regular" Development That Pays episode.

Only people that watched one particular episode to the 4 and half minute mark

got to see the link.

4 - Be ready to make running repairs

So launch day rolls around

You push the Big Green Button and breath a sigh of relief.

But don't relax too much!

To paraphrase a movie quote

Any time you launch a product

you got fifty ways you're gonna **** up.

If you think of twenty-five of them, then you're a genius... and you ain't no genius.

Well you may be you are a genius.

I am not.

A genius would not have

put out a video with TWO audio tracks.

A genius would not have forgotten to tell people

about the one day gap between lessons.

So expect things to go wrong….

And be at the ready to make running repairs.

5 - Remember that it's an experiment

It bares repeating:

Remember that it's an Experiment.

This one cuts two ways.

It's a reminder not to over-egg the pudding.

This is a Minimum Viable Product, not a Final Perfect Product.

It's also a reminder to measure.

Remember that your Minimum Viable Product is part of the Build Measure Learn loop.

And if you don't measure, you won't learn.

We'll get to cheat sheet in a moment,

But first a reminder of the five points:

1. Launch before you're ready 2. There are more moving parts that you think

3. Launch to a limited audience 4. Be ready to make running repairs

5. Remember that it's an experiment

If you're interested in the Lean Startup

I have a rather lovely cheat sheet for you

the Lean Startup Cheat Sheet.

Click the link, follow the instructions and it's all yours.

How To Deal With Depression - Duration: 3:12.

Depression has become a modern-day epidemic – like the plague or "Black Death" back

in the 1330s.

It claimed the lives of more than 60% of Europeans and Asians back then, but depression affects

more than 350 million people today.

WHOA.

That's more people with depression that people in attendance at the last fifteen Super

Bowls combined.

With so many people suffering from depression and anxiety, you'd think it was nearly insurmountable

– an impossible obstacle to overcome.

It simply isn't.

There are dumb-simple ways to cure depression so you don't have to feel like the Black

Death has taken over your mind:

1.

Your diet is everything.

Nutrients like B12, magnesium, folate, and healthy Omega 3fats can make your brain a

happy one.

If you aren't regularly consuming fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes,

sprouts, and healthy oils like hemp or flaxseed, then your brain literally starts to starve

– and get depressed.

Change your diet and you can feel happier than you would even taking Prozac.

2.

"Depression" is over prescribed.

If you just went through a divorce, lost a loved one in death, or were fired from job,

you're going to feel sad for a minute.

That's totally normal, if not a necessary part of growing as a human being.

Psychologists are too quick to call people depressed nowadays when they are just sad.

Sadness and grief are natural, normal states of mind that pass on their own with time,

talking things out with friends, and concentrating on the things you love.

Don't let one of life's little hiccups drive you to take anti-depressants that might

alter your brain chemistry and cause you to be addicted to them for ten years or more.

3.

Spend time outdoors.

Nature is incredibly nurturing to our minds and emotions.

The colors of nature – primarily greens and blues, are calming and lower anxiety.

The sounds of nature mimic our own biorhythms (think bird song and babbling brooks) unlike

unnatural sounds like jet engines flying overhead, traffic, or jack-hammers pounding the pavement

outside your window.

Getting away for a single weekend to a remote place in nature – a beach, a tropical forest,

a river lined with tress, can restore even the most fried adrenals, and depressed individual.

When you're going through a tough time, slow down, look on the bright side, and find

happiness in the little things until the emotional pain of loss resides.

Just Add These Three Ingredients To Your Shampoo And Say Goodbye To Hair Loss Forever - Duration: 2:38.

Your hair plays a big part in the first impression that you give people.

When it's dry and lifeless, you look sloppy.

Worrying about your hair isn't exclusive to women now a days.

Men have started looking for ways to improve their appearance and health.

Regardless of the size, color and type of your hair, one thing is certain: making it

look good isn't easy.

There are several factors that can influence your hair's health and and beauty, such as:

- Sun; - Environmental pollution;

- Lack of vitamins; - Use of chemicals;

- Genetics.

Currently on the market you can find several products to treat your hair.

Some of them may actually help, but most of these products are full of chemical substances,

that could harm your health.

In today's video, we're going to teach you a great recipe that'll help stop your hair

from falling out, make it shinier, healthier and more resistant, in a natural way.

The necessary ingredients are:

Shampoo with a neutral pH Baby shampoos are normally good for this,

because they don't have many of the harmful substances.

Rosemary essential oil This is great to improve shine and strengthen

your hair.

It also treats hair that is turning white really early.

Vitamin E Vitamin E has a great antioxidant action, which is good for damaged strands.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

- 10 drops of rosemary essential oil; - Shampoo with a neutral pH;

- 2 vitamin E capsules; - Half a squeezed lemon.

Instructions

Pour all the ingredients into the shampoo bottle.

Once that is done, put on the lid on and shake it until it's evenly mixed.

Then, all you have to do is wet your hair and use the shampoo.

Coat your hair in it, from the roots to the tips.

Massage your scalp and let it sit on your hair for 10 minutes.

Last, rinse your hair with warm water.

Due to the lemon, only use this remedy at night, and avoid sun exposure the next day.

Just to be safe, before using this shampoo, do an allergy test: apply a small amount on

your skin and wait a few minutes.

If you don't notice any irritation, you can use it with no problem.

I'm so jet lagged... - Duration: 3:02.

Hey everyone! Dana here and I am so jet lagged.

We just got back to Germany from Florida on Saturday, today is Monday, and while on the

trip I took so many amazing video clips and I vlogged about the beach and my thoughts

about returning to Florida for the first time in a little over three years, and all the

while, all while I was doing that I was totally ambitiously thinking like, oh yes, I will

get back to Germany on Saturday and I will have plenty of time to edit that footage for

the Wednesday video.

Yeah, no.

From Saturday to Sunday we honestly slept about seventeen hours.

We were so tired on Saturday from all of the traveling that I kid you not, we fell asleep

at 6 p.m. and I could not manage to wake up until 1 p.m. the next day.

Like, it's not like I was just laying in bed relaxing. No.

I really could not force my eyes open until 1 p.m. the following day.

That was definitely the longest I've ever slept.

And so I'm just filming this now because there's no way that I can manage to edit that amazing

Florida footage by Wednesday.

I really want to give that video the editing attention that it deserves, and right now

I just still feel totally disoriented, and I'm hungry but I have zero appetite whatsoever.

It's really a confusing feeling.

I feel hungry on the one hand, but even just the thought of food turns my stomach.

And according to what I found online, jet lag symptoms can include disorientation -- check -- loss

of appetite -- check -- disturbed sleeping — either too much or too little sleeping — for me

it's too much, mild depression, mood changes, headaches and nausea, and so yeah, I would

say other than the headaches, which I don't seem to have, I've been experiencing all

of those other things, so I'm just not ready to dive right into the editing yet, but I

did just want to make this little short video to give a post-trip update.

So my question for you is: Have you experienced jet lag, when was it the worst, what do you

do to combat jet lag, and has anyone out there noticed that it's getting worse with age?

Like, I feel like I was much less susceptible to jet lag when I was 22, just throwing that out there.

Please let me know in the comments below.

Thanks so much for watching!

Hopefully I will be back with a "normal" video soon.

Until next time, auf Wiedersehen.

Most BIZARRE Airplane Designs That Actually WORKED! - Duration: 12:38.

From wingless jets to helicopters you can wear on your feet, here are 11 of the most

bizarre looking airplanes that actually existed!

11. The Pregnant Guppy

There was no way that this thing could fly. "Unreal" exclaimed the surprised control

room, as this colossal airplane managed to lift off the ground. Pregnant Guppy had a

very abnormal built compared to a Boeing. This airplane was so massive that if a Boeing

stood near it would look like a tiny David next to Goliath. Right over the aircraft's

cockpit, a bulbous addition was made spanning over the plane's body – as if a blue whale

had got wings. An upper fuselage of 6 meters in diameter

was added, giving the aircraft a "triple-bubble" appearance. The purpose of this extra bulge

was to create extra space for accommodating large cargo in the aircraft. The entire rear

section was detachable. In 1963, the Pregnant Guppy started doing cargo flights for NASA

in the 1960's. As the space program increased, it was clear that the Pregnant Guppy couldn't

carry everything, which led to the creation of the Super Guppy! The Pregnant Guppy was

taken out of service in 1979.

10. Hybrid Airship P-791

Despite what it looks like, this isn't a hot-air balloon! It's an inflated airplane

designed for low flying missions. Lockheed Martin, the company behind its creation, has

combined the features from an airship with that of an airplane to form the Hybrid Airship.

It gains its high speed from the propellers like an airplane and can stay afloat maintaining

its altitude for about two weeks as if it were a balloon. It was first designed as part

of the US Army's Long Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle (LEMV) but lost to Northrop Grumman's

HAV-3 design. It was modified for civil use and aircraft production and in the past has

either been made for science, public utility or driven solely to show off for extra money.

However, this aircraft has a unique way of reaching out to the public. The company with

this airship aims to reach the isolated locations on the globe where infrastructure is non-existent

or to help the underprivileged. The incentive, in addition to being noble, can potentially

be quite useful in disaster-prone areas where disaster response and relief might take awhile

to reach the masses.

9. NASA AD-1

Often in science, you'd find areas where robust analysis and mathematical techniques

fall short to help solve a complex engineering problem. Aerodynamics a few decades ago was

a daunting engineering field that was a huge challenge for engineers. Topics such as the

dynamics of pointy objects splitting through the air and airplane configuration was a subject

of great interest and uncertainty. The variables involved were too many, the complexity left

engineers with only one path- Make a customized aircraft and study it. The scientists at NASA

in pursuit of technological development, initiated an experimental program in 1979. This high

risk project developed the AD-1 aircraft (Ames-Dryden 1). The AD-1 was an unusually strange looking

airplane with a spike on its front tip. It was long and narrow and weighed 2,145 pounds.

Studies on the behavior of this aircraft for varying design conditions led to many important

research findings. The aircraft was flown 79 times and it was established through this

experiment that an aircraft wing could be hinged up to 60 degrees. The airplanes with

wings fixed at higher angles were unstable during flight.

AD-1 today serves as a documented case study in engineering classes and is often used by

many authors as an experimental benchmark for explaining some complex topics in flight.

8. Alexander Lippisch's Aerodyne

This oddly shaped aircraft continues to baffle the aeronautical community who wonder how

this bizarre creation managed to get off the ground!! The Aerodyne looks like it is missing

parts, and looks like the complete opposite of what we expect from something that is supposed

to fly! Around the time of World Wars, there was enormous demand for aircraft and governments

were willing to invest whatever it took. Engineers and designers were constantly churning out

new designs which lead to some strange-looking and creative aircraft!

The Aerodyne was one of the many inventions of German Aircraft designer Alexander Lippisch

who made many groundbreaking contributions to his field. He helped develop the science

behind flying wings, delta wings and rocket-powered interceptors!

Similar to a helicopter, this wingless rotor-powered machine concept was designed to take off and

land only vertically. The revolutionary nature of its design meant it could be steered and

flown either by hovering or moving forward. This design, despite of how unusual it was,

did manage to fly before the Western German government lost interest in the project in

1972. However, many of Lippsich's Aerodyne principles were applied to a plane that is

still in operation today: the Harrier Jump Jet.

And now for a flying princess!! But first be sure to subscribe if you haven't already!!

If you're already subscribed thank you and welcome back!!

7. Saunders-Roe Princess

Imagine what it would have been like watching a large-sized ferry flying up in the skies.

The Saunders-Roe Princess was exactly that, a seaborne plane with a boat-like shape and

an all-metal body. It was developed as a larger and more luxurious model of flying boats.

It could carry up to 100 passengers and was meant to serve the transatlantic route between

the UK and New York. This seaplane spanned similar to a modern-day Air Bus. The plane

with its double decked luxury cabins was intended primarily for first class passengers.Between

1952 and 1954, the first prototype princess made 47 test flights.

This sea princess, however, could not convince its airline investors to make it a commercial

hit. It's only financial backer, the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC), realizing

that the Princess would soon become obsolete, stopped its funding immediately. The Princess

program was eventually canceled by the UK government for its inadequate support confining

its only two prototypes to just museum showpieces.

6. Nemeth Parasol

This airplane is another example of a very strange aircraft that actually flew! The Nemeth

Parasol, was considered by many to be inspired by UFO's. Designed by inventor Steven Nemeth,

the prototype was built by university students at Miami University. It had a circular wing

design and an elongated fuselage that assisted it in shorter takeoffs and landings. Two ailerons

were added to help the plane land at slower speeds.

A newspaper declared that the airplane was so small that it could land in your backyard

and fit in your garage. The round wing on its top led people to start calling it the

parachute plane or umbrella plane when it was tested in 1934. The round saucer-like

wings were 15 feet long and people also called it the saucer plane.

According to Nemeth, people who had never flown could learn how to control this plane

in half an hour. During testing the plane reached 135 mph and landed at just 25 mph

and could even gently parachute to the ground. It was extremely stable and it is a shame

that there were no further improvements or tests. We should try to bring this one back!!

It would be very convenient to avoid traffic jams and we could finally be living like the

Jetsons!

5. Sikorsky X-Wing

There's no limit to human imagination. This vehicle was designed by combining the best

features of a helicopter as well as a jet plane. Known as a "heli-plane", the aircraft

had the ability to take off vertically like a chopper and could maneuver by emulating

an airplane. This combination helped the aircraft achieve great speeds without requiring a large

runway distance. X-wing had the capacity to board two crew members and could attain a

cruise speed of 160 mph. The Navy and DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency)

joined forces for the development of this craft. However, in 1988, the program funding

was canceled due to some design flaws that were serious enough to make the investors

withdraw the project contract. The idea of X-wing was then dropped despite the fact that

the aircraft did fly in the testing phase. It was just a little bit too advanced for

its time! But it should be making a comeback soon, don't you think?

4. Proteus 281

This eccentric aircraft most certainly deserves to be on the list of most bizarre planes.

The aircraft Proteus is currently in service and is owned by Scaled Composites, a company

that specializes in unconventional aircrafts. This one looks like some kind of insect! Initially

designed by Burt Rutan –Proteus had its maiden flight in the late 1990's.

Proteus has a very unique design. The aircraft has four super skinny wings, spanned in pairs.

The tail stabilizers were constructed on the rear wings rather than the aircraft's tail,

which is highly unusual. It is meant for high altitude and can go over 50,000 ft. and stay

there for over 18 hours. The aircraft can even carry a payload of 2000 lbs for shorter

flights. It was initially designed for both manned and unmanned aerial missions. However,

its later use has just been restricted to unmanned missions only, which include telecommunication

transmission, commercial imaging, and aerial photography, etc. which means probably spying

as well! It has a number of world records for altitude and has been used in significant

research projects and missions.

3. Vought V-173

Aircraft Designers can try crazy ideas when it comes to innovation or sometimes out of

necessity. The Vought V-173 was designed by keeping in consideration the needs during

WWII. Known as the "Flying Pancake" or the "Fighting Flapjack" (I mean, what

else are you supposed to call it!) the U.S Navy created it as an experimental aircraft.

The Navy needed aircrafts that could be launched from shorter runways. That's when the engineers

came up with an idea for the flying flapjack. This easy-to-fly aircraft had a circular shape

like a UFO and propellers placed at its wing tips that enabled it to land and takeoff at

remarkably low speeds. It was powered by a 1600 hp to provide the necessary thrust to

the four-bladed props. Although the project was super practical, it was dropped when the

Navy decided to switch to turbo-jet engines instead.

2. WhiteKnightTwo (WK2)

You might've heard of conjoined twins, or conjoined strawberries, but probably never

about a conjoined airplane! The Scaled Composites' design for White Knight Two, has conjoined

two fuselages to form one airplane. It is designed with a dual body configuration with

a specific attachment area in the center, to carry SpaceShipTwo up to an altitude of

50,000 feet for safe air launch. The aircraft has four engines and one main

wing on top that is entirely made up of carbon composite. The plane is controlled by pilots

from its right cockpit only. The first WhiteKnightTwo has successfully completed its 4 ½ year test

flight program. The aircraft in its 2008's test flight rose to a maximum altitude of

70,000 ft. Its all–carbon composite body and open architecture design allow for great

versatility in terms of weight and payload volume. It can also operate as a zero-g aircraft

for passenger training or microgravity flights. Virgin Galactic has ordered 2 WK2 vehicles

and WK2 with SpaceShipTwo make up Virgin Galactic's fleet of suborbital space planes.

Good news is that this aircraft is expected to hit the commercial arena pretty soon! Aviation

enthusiasts are definitely up for a treat.

1. De Lackner HZ-1 Aerocycle

This one is a downright odd design. During the cold war, the US Army began developing

personal helicopter devices for American infantrymen. The helicopter propellers would be located

under the pilot's feet, rather than above his head.

More like a primitive version of a monocopter, the aerocycle was a one-man platform designed

to also help soldiers for surveillance missions. This 15-foot aerial vehicle had the capacity

to reach a top speed of 70 mph, making it the fastest flying machine in 1955. There

were four weights attached to its core body to stabilize it. Amazingly, it worked!!

Despite its flight success, the aerocycle could not be brought to production use. The

machine with its single rotor was excessively loud and clumsy. Its noisy presence could

be heard miles away and its open structure was overly exposed, making it vulnerable to

enemy attack. The unusual design made it more at risk to frequent crashes and extremely

challenging to operate. Two decades later, as the technology made progress, the US army

lost interest in aerocycle designs. The project was eventually abandoned and the aerocycle

prototypes were dumped in history museums. Army hoverboards will have to wait.

Things You Didn't Know About Kacy Catanzaro - Duration: 4:51.

Kacy Catanzaro is a superstar competitor who inspired generations of future female athletes

when she became the first woman to finish the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course

and qualify for the final.

But there's a lot more to her than her jaw-dropping strength and athleticism on the course.

Here's what Catanzaro's life is like when she's not competing on TV.

Gymnastics star

Catanzaro had great training to prepare her to become a Warrior.

She told Esquire magazine that she started gymnastics when she was just four or five

years old and dropped everything else to pursue the sport.

In her college years, Catanzaro went on to join the Division One gymnastics team at Towson

University.

After college, she set her sights on Ninja Warrior, and she believes that her training

as a gymnast helped her succeed.

She told ESPN,

"When you get to the competition, most people don't know how their body will react to the

pressure.

But I do.

I've competed literally hundreds of times in gymnastics and trained how to do what I

need to do at just the right time."

It's the climb

We all have songs that motivate us, and it turns out that Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" is

on Catanzaro's playlist.

During a 2014 interview with Esquire, she confessed to being a fan of the Cyrus tune,

and not just because it's a song about kicking butt.

She explained,

"It's like, 'Endure the journey that you take to reach your top moment.

You might not get there right now but when you do, remember what you did to get there."

Warrior's best friend

Catanzaro has a major love for animals, but there was one in particular who really stole

her heart — her beloved dog, Mr. Mogley.

However, in 2017, when she revealed that he had passed away, she chose to honor his memory

by helping other animals, and joined forces with the national animal welfare organization

Best Friends Animal Society.

Together, Catanzaro and the organization created t-shirts with Mr. Mogley's likeness, and 100

percent of all the proceeds from this shirt went towards helping the organization and

its projects.

Thanks to the ex

Catanzaro credits a lot of her success to her now ex-boyfriend and former coach, Brent

Steffensen.

When the two were still just exchanging training and diet tips, Steffensen was offered a job

in San Antonio to test out Alpha Warrior's obstacle course, and he recommended Catanzaro

as well.

The pair began working together — and that's how their romance first started.

In 2014, she told Esquire magazine,

"He moved from L.A. and I moved from New Jersey.

We met in Texas and then about two months later we started dating.

That was almost a year and a half ago, February 2013."

An additional obstacle

At five feet tall, Catanzaro often speaks about her height and how it's been a disadvantage

to her.

She told Esquire that her size made it harder to compete on American Ninja Warrior, saying,

"Being so short is definitely a disadvantage.

In Dallas, there was part of the course where the guys could swing and with one arm reach

the next obstacle.

I had to wind up, swing, and actually let go and catch the next one with both hands.

My body was like mush at the end."

"I've been small my whole life and I've never let that hold me back before and I'm definitely

not gonna start now."

On the bright side

Perhaps one of the greatest things about Catanzaro is that she always looks on the bright side

of things, and her social media is a treasure trove of motivational messages.

Not long after conquering the American Ninja Warrior course in 2014, Catanzaro revealed

to Vulture that while she wanted to push her own boundaries, she also wanted to inspire

other women to do the same.

She said,

"I want to do these things to prove to myself, but like I've said before, I also wanted to

make these big steps for everyone, for all the women out there and for everybody else

that thinks that they can't do something or that they have an excuse."

"Kacy is the reason why I started American Ninja Warrior."

"That's right, ladies, woo!"

American pride

Catanzaro has a lot of love and respect for those who serve in the United States military

— her current boyfriend, Dave Reid, is one of them — and she has taken to Instagram

to praise veterans.

In a Memorial Day post, she wrote about how we should be grateful "for the men and women

who gave it all and have died while serving in this country's armed forces."

She also thanked those currently serving, saying that "the words never seem like enough"

and that they "deserve the greatest of thanks."

Catanzaro also praised Reid, who seven years ago was injured in Afghanistan by stepping

through a doorway that was rigged with an I.E.D.

From warrior to wrestler

Unfortunately, in 2017, Catanzaro retired from Ninja Warrior — but this also spurred

her transition into wrestling.

"No one has been a more inspirational figure to women, men, and the entire Ninja community.

Mighty Kacy will be missed."

World Wrestling Entertainment announced that Catanzaro was joining the company during a

taping for the Mae Young Classic.

Catanzaro spoke to USA Today in August 2017 about how she used to watch wrestling as a

kid, and how she was excited to take on the new challenge.

After multiple offers to join WWE, she was finally ready to accept.

She said,

"For a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be brought to me a handful of times — I knew

that it was rare, and I was getting older.

I want to be somewhere where I can make the biggest impact I can."

How To Deal With The Increasing Energy Shifts - Duration: 7:42.

How To Deal With The Increasing Energy Shifts

Have you ever tried reading a map?

It is not always clear which is the best route to take.

It can be confusing and unclear.

Navigating your path does not have to be filled with stress.

Your path to bliss can be discovered with ease.

Let this energy guide you.

Let go of all those puppet strings you are so desperately attempting to control to the

point of exhaustion.

Your arms are achy and tired.

Its not working.

The harder you struggle to force things the more you deplete yourself.

Detach from the drama.

Preserve your precious energy.

Surrender.

Trust.

Allow.

When you dont know what to do, dont do anything at all is the general advice

to eliminate doubt and avoid taking a wrong turn.

With the increasing energy, shifts, people leaving both quietly or with a bang.

Changes, loss of a job, loss of a home, relationships devolving or evolving it has been quite the

challenge not to hide under the covers and stay in bed.

Fear is a liar!

It will never tell you the truth.

It limits you in every single way.

You are good enough!

You are strong enough!

You do have something of value to share!

Your opinion matters!

We all need to hear what you have to say.

Along with that fear there is also a quiet tap on the shoulder from Spirit.

Nudging you.

Guiding you.

How about this?

I wonder what that feels like?

That would be a cool place to live.

That class is so interesting, I want to know more.

They come so quietly we tend to sometimes ignore them.

And that is our own GPS attempting to steer us in the right direction.

One breadcrumb, one idea, one curious investigation at a time.

In order to fully take advantage of this guidance we must consciously be aware of it and listen

for it.

Be aware of what sparks your curiosity.

What looks interesting?

What sounds fun?

The road to your new life is disguised as fun.

We disregard it because we tell ourselves we have serious work to do.

I can not waste time right now messing around coloring, taking classes, fill in the blank.

I have to figure out what my next move is!

Filled with sudden desperation to solve this enormous mystery right this very moment.

Panic.

Fear.

Withdrawal.

Smother it with food, alcohol, tv.

Twisting yourself into knots to try and please everyone around you to keep the status quo.

To prevent change.

To make them happy so they will like you.

Conforming.

Making yourself smaller.

Silencing your voice, your wants your needs so that they wont leave you.

All the while you become further and further disconnected further and further confused

further and further depressed and filled with thoughts of giving up.

That is when the dark takes over.

Yes!

We got her!

We got him!

We managed to steer her away from her light.

He gave up!

Stop the insanity.

Relax.

You have not wasted any time because you learned something.

Everything has been for your greatest good no matter how messed up it felt like when

it unfolded.

Even now looking back you can think of a few times that life seemed to blow up in your

face and now you see what a huge gift that was for you as it was the catalyst for a blessing

right around the corner.

And that happened when you were asleep!

What glory awaits you now that you are conscious and aware?!

How exciting!

Anything is possible!

All you have to do is create!

Let go.

Stop trying to control anything.

Drive your own car.

Stay in your own lane.

Dont go trying to drive someone else s car.

Thats when you crash.

And Im sure you are quite familiar with crashing, am I right?

We all are.

Let everyone else worry about their own road.

You stay on yours.

Nothing else matters but your happiness.

Point blank period.

Relax, listen, investigate.

What lights you up?

What makes your heart sing?

What looks cool?

What sounds interesting?

Go there with an open mind.

Dont talk yourself out of anything.

The mind will try to sabotage your investigation telling you all the ways you will fail because

of stuff that went down in the past.

All that exists is this very moment.

Just now.

Nothing else.

Allow yourself to be guided to your next breadcrumb.

Take a chance!

Take many chances!

Do not label anything as stupid or ridiculous.

You cannot know for sure this is not going to lead you to your next discovery.

If you feel drawn to get a reading or a healing, do it!

Wisdom and guidance will come in all forms.

Do not limit the way you are willing to receive your next breadcrumb.

Stay open and alert.

Constantly observing the synchronicities that arrive at your doorstep.

A conversation with your sister.

A text message.

A book you read that has the most amazing idea!

It can come to you in a myriad of ways.

Be prepared to receive it however it may come to you.

It may even come from a child.

It will feel as if its dawning on you for the first time when you hear it.

Observe.

What is meant for you is unstoppable and you cannot mess this up.

The fastest way to feel good is to be good to yourself.

You are transforming.

Any pain from what is unfolding around you is the meagerness of your old life leaving

you forever.

Let it go.

Allow it to leave.

You cant stop a baby being born.

All you can do is try and get as comfortable with what is transpiring as you possibly can.

Labor pains.

As you birth your dreams.

Just the way you would treat a beloved child is the way to treat yourself during this transition.

Rest.

Go to bed early.

Walk in nature.

Breathe.

Take long hot baths.

Eat nutritious foods.

Drink lots of water.

Exercise to move that energy out of your body.

Any kind of exercise.

When your body tells you it needs to sleep, listen to it.

Each day will be different.

We are not in 3d anymore.

What worked back then is not what is required now.

This is new.

The old world was set up to keep you programmed like a robot.

The same thing every day.

The same formula day in and day out.

Now we are being called to respond differently.

Not react.

Respond.

Softly.

With ease.

In an elevated way.

Let us be our own cheerleader, caretaker, best friend and advocate.

After all, its our life.

We should be the one to decide what that life looks like and with whom we share our light

with.
