play a game of necrons vs Imperial Knights and today I'm gonna play the
necron seraptek super heavy construct it's coming right up

can have a special battle report especially for you on New Year's Eve to
wish you a happy 2019 today we're going to see the necrons seraptek super heavy
construct out on the table hello Nick and hello nick neck hey don't I'm very well thank
you I'm getting really looking forward to this game so this time you brought
our Imperial Knights so we've played nice before we are
knowing that you're playing the seraptek I abort my serratus night or
Lancer as an equivalent for 12 versus forward toward karna bit of foil so
while it's vaguely similar to before but I've swapped that one unit out just just
we've got a little bit of balance Kangol yes indeed and you see my list I have
seen your list what do you think of my list
what do I think of your list I think my Knights are probably going to get
toasted especially knowing how you deploy your army these days and you've
learned a few tricks yeah so yeah Knight army and knowing in what you now play
like I think this could be an interesting game
okay so let's find out let's have a look at the armies and see what happens okay
so here we go here is my sciatic surge Cron's
got a so tech outsider detachment heading up the force is a cryptic with a
cloak he also has the bed of darkness and the warlord trait hyper logical
strategists and then have a squad of tester immortals eight immortals in the
chief selection elites I've got a truck stalker with a twin heavy goals cannon
that I've got two squads of maxed out destroyers six in each and a squad of
nine scarab swarms all in the fast attack slot and then in the heavy
support slots we have a to doomsday arks and of course the super-heavy auxilary
detachment and neck on sir optic heavy construct yeah that brings me in at
nineteen hundred and ninety two points with for CPS rights let's have a look at
the Imperial Knights okay so this is my modified Knight list from last time we
once played so I'm running two super heavy detachments so I'm running for six
command points here so leaving the furay is the serratus Knight Lancer with a
shock lance and he's warlord trait of Alliance Rider and then with him are two
Knight errants which are the guys with the thermal cannons on the middle here
and just down here that is one super heavy detached from the second one is
two armored your warg ladies which of the two little guys so they have the
thermal Spears and the the smaller choppy swords and then a knight gallant
which is this guy down here my old Inquisitor converted one so he's got
lots of Inquisitor iconography on him this guy is running with a fancy radical
oh he has the paragon gauntlet which means he's a little coordinate down here
is a little bit more powerful and then that sword is actually just another and
another wreath of chain soldier so that is my list it comes in at 1950 points
there are a couple of proxies in it just to burn some points up since the point
changes so instead of the heavy stuber's there are melted guns now so that is
about the only changes other than that what you see is what you get 106 power
level 1950 points okay excellent right let's work out what mission we're
playing and get started okay so here we go
we have deployed we have the necrons on one side Nick why have you deployed the
truck stalker on the top level of a building when you know it's a vehicle
and doesn't have the fly special role oh well let's get on with the game
and the Imperial Knights on the other we are playing the scouring dawn of war
deployments the objectives have been randomly selected and we ended up having
this objective here worth three points four point four points or points even
better four points on this one however this one over here is only one
point and the rest of them which is one under the bridge one down that end in
the middle one down this end in the middle one underneath this Knight here
they're all worth two points each so we have deployed the necrons did deploy
last so nick is going to get +1 to the dice roll so let's get some dice and see
who's gonna go first okay so the roll rough is here let's do it I've got a
100k I'm gonna have time to seize the initiative
okay so seize the initiative come on we need a net cron six come on it's got to
happen the star guards are down looking down on us come on six oh no oh no Nick

Knights turn one okay so the Knights have finished moving everything's moved
forward except for this guy just at the back here this guy here advanced move
managed to move twenty-two inches is a fourteen inch base move to d6 how about
that okay so we're in the shooting face yeah yeah so we're gonna do some
shooting I'm gonna kick off with the thumb cannon from this night shooting at
the big bad boy himself okay Raptor scarabs big bad
so he has d 6 shots means a firm cannon and I'm gonna get four shots four shots
four shots hitting on threes I have three hits
I'm strengthened annoying okay toughness eight eight three wind to go through and
our ap - oh okay so be a five plus and vulnerable save they kept one one goes
through the one goes through at D six damage
it's a - I mean - come on put that on pointer you know you get a roll of one
no don't know yeah absolutely but if you come on point immediately you always
roll fire see oh oh yeah three damage 25 wings left on this wrap tick is that all
we're doing the same thing with the second guy so exactly the same shots
from this guy's at thermal cam and going that way as well okay D six shots he has
three ships - of hits threes the wound we have to go through again so your Wang

that is another 300 kV so six damage so far six damage this Armiger that he's

so he has a thermal spear range 30 summer in ranges assault III shots gun
shots and it does hit yeah it does it is strength 8 - toughness toughness 6 a 3
wind he does what you want is for again okay - 4 so most so same D 6 damage so I
got my quality shielding on shooting so need to well a - one or two - ignore it
I rode a force okay stories like yesterday yeah three damage because I'm
concerned about quantum surely now I'm actually go fire the thermal sphere of

it's a brace it's a very extremely sensitive three knit so the only other
government I've got in range is a twin Ikaros weapon this is stuff but flyer so
you've got stuff the fires right your destroyers have to fly this choice have
to fly special role in daisies I have one to hit rollers made against targets
that can fly so we'll pick on the nearest unit or destroyers then which I
guess is that one one in the middle oh yeah sir
so I'm gonna be hitting on to use with these heavy photo shots saves three hits
straight to seven say three wound yep toughness 5-3 win day P minus one minus
one okay so I'm gonna go for the cover save so so three plus two wins two
damage to damage each one dead and that's it that's it yeah I'm dead so
mobility straight into the scarab let's get straight into the combat hit let's
not mess around they've got mins around scaring the
cirrhotic scaring the sir optic he's already badly wounded an ex yeah
once these scarabs are gone he's gonna be vulnerable yeah oh he's quite tasty
in combat we'll see we'll see when we get to the combat base okay here we go
them so how many attacks does it say bad boys yes it comes with four base attacks
longer youth Titanic feat I think is probably does have Titanic feat does
nice thing well they all Knights have Titanic feet feet which means I get
three attacks for every single one so I get three six
I'll get more dice threes which is annoying of the news yeah plus three so

okay yet no same-same each one is d3 damage I could okay so the first one is
one damage yep two damage 2001 base yep two bases you
point one bases give with two bases that's gonna be a third base base yep
it's quite a nine-hole face and that's out of the pot so four bases in total
and a wound rolled over onto another one okay okay so the scarabs attacking back
on this massive light so we're going to need fours
okay so that was fourteen fours now I need five somos Tesoro fires yes
strength three what toughen scene eight eight okay we need vibes we have one two

okay that sums up in the Imperial Knights turn one okay so this ratchet
will gets one wound back from living metal and the Doomsday art will also and
we're going to move in oh we've got up here today for the destroyer and anaphor
plushies not up because there's no cryptic like recent range there is equip
second range is there yeah under there you shot the one with the cryptic next
to it okay so it's back up excellent alright let's move on then to the
necrons turn one okay so necron turn one not much
movement the scarabs just fell back from the assault and these guys just moved
away from this advancing blob of knights and we are in the shooting phase so
first of all I'm gonna shoot the Tri ox talker into this big guy here so let's
see what we can do you need furries we get both but it's
out strength 9 toughness 8 yep furries to both miss I say they both miss hardly
be one that said well destroy a mob a stalker isn't there to kill anything
he's just there to help everything else does he not need he just need to hit
would help I was he just needs to target ok yeah so that's that done so this
shoot some doomsday arcs first of all this one at this night right here we go
so we get d6 amount of shots won't get to where we come and point that have any
key moments I only got 4 come on plans or something yeah I don't I don't need

term one okay an interesting turn so gonna move in now to the Imperial
Knights turn - okay so Imperial Knights turn - we've got some movement
this guy dancing - inches getting into close quarters with the cirrhotic no
scarabs in front of him this time and these two armatures have moved up
here as well pretty quick movement on those guys 14-inch move which is quite
quite cool yeah and this guy once again I'm going to full tilt this guy I am so
that he could advance and then charge that's the plan this guy's gonna sit
back on this objectives on yeah I've got some points at the end of the game yeah
and but that's the one worth four points to engage as I can't assault these pesky
Ark set us up on these rooftops have to try and shoot them and watch you thermal
quantum field everything and what I'll try and destroy everything else without
being killed so that's the yeah the general hanging with the game so that's
what we're gonna try this guy's firm cannon shoot the Destroyers I think the
very first thermal cannon on the destroy units
first up yong-sik shots - is pretty lousy two shots only one hits it does
wound yeah - four - four so I get 6 plus save then cover here nope
d3 don't add these six damage six in the pot yeah one two it back down again the
same money not down on so I think we're gonna find this guy throwing spear into
those that saying destroy destroy squad - yeah they D three shots for him two
shots it's twice way twice 61 is 3/4 again
- for Serbia 6 + from the cover save we don't guess any any and these are d6
damage each so the first one knocks one down yep and the second one no it's
another one take two more to see joy down and we'll do the same from the
other focus fire technique a well you've got three left if I didn't get three
shots out yeah and three wounds that means copy there throw my bets today
we'll see what we get so d3 shots I was ending the too late
they both hit yep hello they favor to wound miserable I've got to melty guns
in there they so the to melty guns will find that that go out there I was

of hits both have wounded ap minus four minus four one saves once again you need
five up in Vaughn we don't guess any damage d6h 26 damage five damage okay
we're down to 15 wins on this wrapped it we've got some more guns coming in so
we'll have you smelt a government that thus erratic and the icarus cannon at
the roots three destroyers that are left okay with Icarus cannon first it's on
Tuesday our flight keyword and three wind three moons at minus one minus one
and we are still in cover there so be threes one one goes through two damage
to the damage okay and the melting on at the cirrhotic hits and it will top us
eight toughness 80s wind wind hey so all the shooting that I think he's all my

did manage to do two wounds with that and then I shot the two destroyer units
into one armature managed to take it down the Doomsday arcs shot into the
other one I managed to kill that just leaving the skeptic to shoot who shot
into of this guy here and I did only a couple of damage I made some radio ing
was again for that guy made about three out of four available saves needed so
you've done in total we have five damage across the destroyers are disruptive
yeah so five damage I wounded him slightly however just two nights left
you guys left as we move in to turn three for the nights
okay so we're in turn three for the nights their mission their only mission
is to kill to the cirrhotic understandably - so David Lee he's on
sixteen wounds yeah I can't kill a third of your army
cuz you're up on the building so what we're gonna do is try and kill him
more moral high-ground victory okay let's see what happens so we're gonna
fire everything I can possibly think of which isn't a lot so we'll start with
this guy here then he will fire a thermal cannon and he smelt a gun into
the cirrhotic right here yeah the melty gun on his own hits and does wound 18-4
okay so if I press and vulnerable save let's see if I can actually make one I
don't of course they do they yeah Farrell Cannon has these hit shots I
answer to every single bit over to two shots or three damage okay two shots and
they both miss oh do you know what I've only got one come on point that but I

well it's for necrons necrons need to beat Imperial Knights somehow anyhow
okay let's see what we can do in the assault okay so six wounds left means I
need fives to hit so let's do this we're using the big weapon big claws and we
get to through I'm gonna survive famine hair
let's see okay so we need to choose both get through and the six is it isn't not
with that one love that yeah so two wins two wins I have no say youth against
that because our insureds are only against ranged weapon okay - four so no
save at all right no okay so we do three four five five damage not too bad

damage yeah so I lose half wins 12 wins five left five okay then we're done so
what about five to hit game I get one string 14 toughness eight plus eight say

turn three okay so necrons turn three first of all let's get some wounds back
have moved ecliptic in the previous turn within range of the sir optic so it's d3

so we've got three destroyers over this side
the table meaning fives or two is back up and then we've got two dead from the
other side of the table needing fours both are back up yeah okay so neck on
turned three and at the beginning of this clip I forgot to turn my microphone
on basically I fell back with both the sceptic and the scarab swarms are then
shot into the two nights I managed to get the night that was in close combat
with the strap tick down to four wounds and then I managed to destroy the other
night completely by then elected to charge the other night a Nick proceeded
to do overwatch and that's where we're going to join it now with the live
action I get one all right one over what shot a vow has to win soap range again
gonna need this I need this Oh so at the pot come on no gd6 pick the
highest to damage okay save yourself range we are definitely n okay so I'm
down to five wins so we'll need five sewing get one five and then we need
five to gain to no force force wind oh yeah strength sixteen on this way
okay so we definitely wound no save so too flat see so much damage for wounds
now the question is if exploding here enough all the way to keep killing
you're still gonna take him around victory of you if it happens it doesn't
it doesn't have become that's it the Imperial Knights are dead what have
I lost Nick Nick what I lost I lost four destroyers and four scarabs these Roy's
will come back on the next time okay so there you go that's what's the game Nick
one awesome game I really enjoyed that well that makes 50% of
two of us here that enjoyed that I think the 50% is on my right-hand side
yes slightly one side too wasn't it what did we get two three turns I think so
yeah every ten yeah there were some deliberate things that I did to make it
a bit more fun and you said yeah I'm having any fun I'm just gonna kill you
exactly players at watch yeah no I did it for you that chrome fires as well
honest yeah I did I wanted I wanted to give you a good video for the end of the
year exactly so there's new kiddo come along and South being a tough night army
and just to you know make make your highlights really you know big big
highlights real of the year that was that's exactly why did I did enjoyed
that man I really enjoyed that why I really really didn't enjoy was the flat
so I couldn't roll more than a three or a two for damage you're rolling was bad
you roamed pretty much every available save you ever needed yeah I had a couple
of good ones actually not enough no and every damage role every d6 variable of
yours was always at least the fall yeah it's pretty good yeah so even in your
overwatch 365 watch yeah 17:16 damage every time yeah I was kind of kind of
struggling but cakes are oh yeah it's all it's all good fun yeah throughout
funding Nick always that yeah yeah yeah and what do you think of the skeptic
model because let's first I've seen it in the flesh
first time I've seen it larger than I thought I think it comes across smaller
on on TV you know I thought the TV's most about the 5 pounds not taking away
but no a lot bigger than I thought yeah scary and we've we've discussed about
