like most Colombian towns it's situated around the church

but in particular this town is situated around

a lot of hostels and restaurants

are popping up to serve the tourists

270 steps later

you have Colombia

Panama

South America

Central America

so all these towns very isolated

none of them have cars because

there's no roads

when you arrive in a vehicle to Panama

you have an option to either put it on a boat or put it on a plane

this is the Darien Gap

the one disconnect in the pan-american highway

so the only thing better than an International hill climb is an

is an international dock jump

just to fill you in, on where i am right now

I'm in Capurgana

this morning I was in Trigana

we took a boat passing

17 kilometer long total egg hatching beaches

bird islands

we went to Sapzurro

we crossed the mountain into Panama

spent a couple of hours on the beach

now I arrived at Capurgana

and it's only lunchtime

I did it with 15252 bottle caps

all of their blouses come with two molas (embroidery)

that's bird island

they did the desafio challenge a couple beaches that way

there's a bunch of turtles hatching eggs

it's beautiful it's so much more relaxed

and not as commercial as

Santa Marta beach, Cartagena beach

definitely worth coming to check out for a couple days at least

making this happen

if there's something that's always been in your head thatkeeps coming back to you

but you have a fear to do it and

since I saw this island yesterday

I've been wanting to do it

at some point by embracing the fear not running away from it embracing it

feeling and going with it anyway fine that's the best way to to embrace your

instinct; the affective

instinct.

Animals

truly love.

We should,

and we could

perfectly learn

from them what true love means;

unconditional love.

If you give love to them,

you'll receive it back;

and you'll feel the love at its maximum.

They show love so purely,

that sometimes

it seems surreal.

Love animals.

Love them all,

not just a few.

Respect their lives,

because they

respect yours.

Allow yourself to love them

and respect them.

You'll be surprised

to see the love you gave

coming back to you

in a very honest

and beautiful way.

There are still problems in Peru, for example yesterday returning from work there was a shootout on my route and I had to hide.

Did You Miss Warrior Care Month?

It's All Month This November.

November most importantly has Thanksgiving but it also is Warrior Care Month.

The Military Health System stated: "The DoD, Military Services, and collaborating

organizations will use November to celebrate the strength and resilience – physically,

mentally, and spiritually – of our wounded, ill, and injured service members, as well

as their families and caregivers; raise awareness of the warrior care resources and programs

available today; and inspire year-round discourse regarding today's warrior care priorities."

Army Command Sgt.

Maj. Robert Luciano, Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Defense Health Agency, wrote:

Warrior Care Month helps raise awareness for available programs and resources, while also

inspiring dialogue and action.

As we honor warfighters this month, it's important to remember that warrior care extends

beyond November.

There must never be a day when we do not provide our wounded, ill, and injured service members

the best possible care and support.

We continue to be inspired by their strength and we are here to serve them as they transition

into a new chapter in their lives.

And the Office of Warrior Care Policy (WCP) adds :

Warrior Care Month is an important annual effort to increase awareness of the programs

and resources available to wounded, ill and injured service members, as well as their

families, caregivers and those who support them.

The WCP website has eight "Quick Links" that provides information on different topics

that are important all wounded warriors and their caregivers.

In addition, they have seven programs that they manage: The Disability Evaluation System,

Recovery Coordination Program, Military Caregiver Support, Education and Employment Initiative,

Operation Warfighter, Military Adaptive Sports Program, and a National Resource Directory.

The latter is a website that provides access to tens of thousands of services and resources

at the federal, state, and local levels that support recovery, rehabilitation and community

integration, for Service members, wounded warriors, veterans, and their families.

Resources range from homeless assistance to benefits and compensation to volunteer opportunities.

Secretary of Defense Mattis recently said that there is "no higher priority for this

Department than caring for those who have sacrificed so much."

That is a statement with which all of us can agree!

Acrylic Pouring: November Pouring Challenge! - Duration: 5:05.

I am gearing up to do the November pouring challenge on a 2 foot by 8 inch

canvas with... the rules are purple which I have is violet these are all Pebeo

studio acrylics this is iridescent green blue. You have to use a metallic blue I didn't

have metallic, so iridescent... a yellow which that's light azo yellow, and then

two other colors of your choice. I chose a red and this is a real

pretty green blue, darker for contrast. So, I thought (before I saw the official

rules for this challenge) I thought that you had to do a flip and drag but

without your hands. and that's what really turned me on

to the idea. I was watching Debbie at acrylic pouring, and the woman's not

using her hands! so that's what I'm gonna try... that's my November pouring challenge.

so we're gonna get this set up and we'll see how that goes

okay yes it's floating now now I'm going to do it without my hands just like Miss

Debbie I'm gonna give it something other than just straight across okay now I'm

gonna go back... oh that might mix up the colors okay but they is still paint in there

there we go. I don't think that's exactly you know how you do

a flip and drag. I'm going to cover up these lighter areas.

I'm going to do a little torching first...

I don't know ... it kinda looks like a glob of a mess

humm.. it is not my most favorite painting in the world

but, I've done the November Pouring Challenge! I'm going to fix it and do

things that break the rules here, so I officially stop my November pouring

challenge efforts. I'm gonna break the rules maybe

okay well I think I can make it into something better, and I had fun doing it.

Grace and Peace

You know, in the face of so many thieves of faith

In the face of so much distortion of the Gospel

In the face of so much lack of love

Jesus looks at the crowd and feels compassion for them.

He feels compassion for all those people.

I'll take a trip back in time and tell you a quick story.

A love story between Hosea and Gomer.

God was angry because the people abandoned him.

And God spoke to Hosea: go and marry a prostitute woman.

And Hosea married Gomer. And they were happy. Gomer was happy, she left the prostitution.

And she walked with Hosea. Their love seemed beautiful.

And they were having children, until a daughter named Jezreel was born.

Jezreel means ... some scholars say it means: the seed of God.

But when the seed of God is planted in each one of us ... satan is angry. He comes against us.

Gomer began to act differently. She began to turn away from the Word.

She started and she left, she left, she ran away, she went away. She became an adulteress. She fell into prostitution again.

But Hosea did not give up on her. Hosea did not give up Gomer.

And God has compassion. And God allows and Hosea goes after Gomer. And he goes after her.

He was married to Gomer. HE WAS MARRIED TO GOMER. Gomer was his.

But when he gets there, her master, the person who was taking care of the "business" says: - "you won't take her" ... saying in my words

"-You will have to pay for her". He was married to Gomer, and he will have to pay for her.

And he paid and brought Gomer back.

I wanted you to keep that in mind, because the Old Testament is very beautiful. It makes us know God better.

And he makes us realize that every word there leads us to Jesus Christ.

I'm going to stop this story here and I'm going to read ... if you want a theme for this preaching, it could be: "I chose you."

I'm going to John now and I'll read some verses here. We are in John, chapter 15 and verses 12 through 15.

Before I say this, I would like to talk about the historical context of these verses.

The Passover had already passed. Jesus was talking to His disciples in a more intimate conversation...

and He was revealing what the Kingdom of Heaven is.

The disciples were confused. They did not understand who Jesus was and who God was.

Who was Jesus and who was God !!! The differences. They were confused.

And much less understood about the Holy Spirit, for He had not yet come upon them, because Jesus had not yet died.

So Jesus was explaining to them His purpose here on earth.

But look how beautiful and how deep. Look what Jesus is talking about.

And you will understand what all this has to do with Thanksgiving. Why we must be grateful.

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends."

You know, it reminds me of Peter when he said: "I'm ready to die for you Lord!"

And Jesus says: - "Peter, before the rooster crows, you will deny me 3 times."

Are we really ready to die for a friend !? To die for Jesus!!!

"You are my friends if you do what I command."

Look how beautiful! "You are my friends if you do what I command." See what a revelation!

"I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business."

"Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."

Look at that contingency for us to become friends of Jesus.

When we know Jesus. When we learn from Jesus, we become friends of Jesus.

Whoever is close to a friend knows their problems. Help. And Jesus is calling us to be His friend! To be His friend!

God says that whoever receives His Son ceases to be just a creature. Now He calls us sons and daughters.

Do we want the position of servants or friends? Because He wants to give us the position of friends... and sons and daughters.

In John chapter 16 verse 7: "But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away...

...Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you... (the Holy Spirit of God); ...but if I go, I will send him to you."

And in verses 12 and 13: "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear."

"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth...

...He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."

God is still speaking! He reveals each day his goodness, through the Holy Spirit who dwells within us.

Jesus was there, arms wide on the cross, ready to die for us... He was there.

And in one last breath, He surrenders his Spirit and says, "It is finished." ... "It is finished."

And on the third day, John and Peter ran to the tomb.

Because Mary Magdalene, Mary His mother, and yet another Mary had informed them that the Master was not there.

And John, the disciple whom He loved most, ran ahead and there was no one in the tomb.

And they ran back to tell the others, but Mary Magdalene was there ...

Maria Madalena! 7 demons expelled from her body! She was there! The Word says that Jesus drove out 7 demons from her body.

And she became His follower. One of Jesus' greatest followers.

But Maria Madadelena saw the angel! He saw the angel! And she did not realize that this "angel" was Jesus.

Jesus is sometimes so close to us, so close to us, but the distance from the Gospel ...

... the weakness of faith, the problems of life, do not let us see Jesus on our side.

do not let us see Jesus on our side.

But Jesus looks at Mary and He says: "- Maaary !!!"

What does the Word say? What does the Word say?: "My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me"

Jesus said: "Mary!" Jesus called our name and, at that moment, we saw Jesus! The sheep hear His voice.

and the same Word says: "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit ...

(and see what fruit it is!) ...fruit that will last..." (Look at this goal that Jesus chose us!)

...and so that WHATEVER YOU ASK IN MY NAME the Father will give you."

What a great love this is! The fruit. We will hear the voice of Jesus. Let us not refuse to receive His calling.

Because Jesus will call, just as he called Mary. And in that moment, our eyes will open ...

And we will look at Him, we will see Him, and we will shout: "- RABONI", that means "Master", which is what Mary said to Him.

And at that moment, Jesus showed ... He showed Himself to Mary.

This is how He shows Himself to us all. He shows himself to us all.

You remember that I started to preach talking about Hosea! And remember that I said that everything in the Old Testament points to Jesus!

So then...Who is the prostitute? Do we realize who the prostitute is?

WE are. The adulterers, the sinners... we are. We are! Everything was all right, but we moved away from Christ.

And everything was going well with Adam and Eve in Paradise, but we turned away from Christ.

Hosea represents God. He did not give up on us. We belong to God. We belong to the Great I Am. Why did He have to pay for our freedom !!!

He did not have to pay for our freedom. But He went there, died on the cross ...

... and paid the price for us to quit adultery, quit prostitution, to quit the world, and to surrender ouselves to Jesus Christ.

And so we are here today to thank Him for in this Thanksgiving day.

How can we not thank this God who is so merciful, who has not given up on us !!!

The world wants to captivate us, but Jesus ... His compassion remains, church! It remains!

Look! Look! I'm going to read only two verses from Psalms and I'm going to finish ...

"You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy." Psalms 30:11.

And in Psalms 33 verse 1: "Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; ¶ it is fitting for the upright to praise him."

But look! Jesus today is in glory. He's looking at the crowd here. He keeps looking at the crowd here!

He looks today, before so many souls away from the Bible, so many souls who do not know the truth ...

AND HE HAS COMPASSION FOR US.

Be grateful to Jesus. Let's be grateful. Let us all give thanks, forever.

And He is so beautiful that He says: "Rejoice in the Lord always." I will say it again: Rejoice! "

And if it's been hard, it's been difficult, let us be of good cheer, because Jesus overcame the world; He came in the flesh;

He reigns today; in Glory. But He knows what we've gone through, because He went through all that.

Because He is BEAUTIFIL !!! REALLY BEAUTIFIL, HE IS. And Glory we surrender to our God.

definitely worth coming to check out for a couple days at least
