G'day parceros!
in here the eiffel tower
it's a replica from the one in Paris
G'day parceros!
I'm eating a delicious coconut ice cream
and I'm in Sapzurro
the farthest north western reaches of Colombia
like most Colombian towns it's situated around the church
but in particular this town is situated around
dock
looks like aguila is the beer of choice
so this town has definitely jumped on the tourist bandwagon
a lot of hostels and restaurants
are popping up to serve the tourists
270 steps later
you have Colombia
Panama
South America
Central America
so all these towns very isolated
none of them have cars because
there's no roads
when you arrive in a vehicle to Panama
you have an option to either put it on a boat or put it on a plane
this is the Darien Gap
the one disconnect in the pan-american highway
so the only thing better than an International hill climb is an
is an international dock jump
just to fill you in, on where i am right now
I'm in Capurgana
this morning I was in Trigana
we took a boat passing
17 kilometer long total egg hatching beaches
bird islands
we went to Sapzurro
we crossed the mountain into Panama
spent a couple of hours on the beach
now I arrived at Capurgana
and it's only lunchtime
What is the most special thing that tourists take when they come?
the most special thing that tourists take is the travel experience
always in a worldwide level
we´re focusing on the travel experience
the gastronomy experience
the trips and all the plans
a piña colada please
so i'ts one of those all-inclusive places where
really you just take it easy
drink, eat
enjoy the view
hi Fernando -Samuel
I'm going to interpret a song honouring our colombian land
it goes like this
what's up -what's up my friend
Samuel -Samuel? they call me baby god
we're from Medellín, Itagüi
we live here almost 20 years ago
and since I arrived I started recycling
the floor that I have in the house
what I have as floor
are jars full of water
tv screens
or glass bottles
when I started recycling caps, I started with this aluminium caps
the idea is to make figures with them
in here is the kitchen
yeah
and over here is a room
that's what i've sell since I live here
some is embroidery
in here is the eiffel tower
it's a replica from the one in Paris
and organizing those bottles I realized that they couldn't be thrown away
look how nicely they fit
it's a shame this two were
disorganized by someone
Capurgana land of the chili
the biggest work o've done is the face of the Chavo
I did it with 15252 bottle caps
i'ts over there look
this little lamp in a coconut
with the little balls inside the bottles of whisky
all of their blouses come with two molas (embroidery)
one in the front and the other in the back
that guy is thinking big
with recycling in his house
now we get a penalty kick
we go for a little swim to that Island out there
alright aboyt halfway
check out this ...
alright I'm on dry land
oh ho mr. Crabb
you are lucky there's a buffete breakfast back at the hotel
and over here
how's that go again?
got a flag
flag what happened to the flag?
it's in a sorry state
we gotta restore the colombian flag
alright let's do this
can we get my permanent residency now or what?
alrigh so you might be wondering why did I leave the comfort
of an all-inclusive beachfront hotel to
swim into an island through a channel
I don't know I read recently that your fears
should be your compass your North Star
whatever you fear to do
is probably the thing that you should do
I do have the swimming skills, I don't have the skin for it
but I knew that I could do this although that it was scary
I did it anyway
I really recommend coming out
Trigana
Capurgana
Sapzurro
La Miel
if your time is limited and you can only go to one
head to Capurgana from there you can
do a lot of things like come on to the islands
that's bird island
they did the desafio challenge a couple beaches that way
there's a bunch of turtles hatching eggs
it's beautiful it's so much more relaxed
and not as commercial as
Santa Marta beach, Cartagena beach
definitely worth coming to check out for a couple days at least
thanks to Nautilus hotel group for
making this happen
if there's something that's always been in your head thatkeeps coming back to you
but you have a fear to do it and
since I saw this island yesterday
I've been wanting to do it
at some point by embracing the fear not running away from it embracing it
feeling and going with it anyway fine that's the best way to to embrace your
fears because once you embrace your fears the only thing left to embrace
are your dreams
so that's where I'm gonna leave it today
I'm getting on a plane back to Medellín very soon
embrace your fears
embrace your dreams
embrace a life afar.
