OBS Studio 133 - How to use Graphics & Templates in OBS - Stream Graphics Tutorial & Twitch Panels! - Duration: 7:27.

Another important part to a good live stream is good visual graphics.

Whether it's an on-screen overlay to show your username or a little flair, or just the

avatar, banner, and information panels below the video player - graphics that connect with

your style and branding help polish off an overall great streaming experience.

Who.. what..

Orisa, where?

HUH?!

I just see a Rein...

Oh.

Cool.

DUDE will you just get a ModMic already?

It attaches to any headphone so you can use that good pair you like, but I'll actually

be able to understand your call-outs.

It also has a mute switch so I don't have to hear all those conversations with your

grandma.

We gotta get serious to get out of Plat.

Yes, just order one tonight.

Head on over to https://antlionaudio.com/ to learn more and check it out.

I'm EposVox, here to make tech easier and more fun, and welcome back to my OBS Studio

tutorial course.

I have many, many more videos on the software in the playlist linked in the description.

Check that before asking questions, and check the introduction video to learn how this course

works, if you get confused.

Using graphics in OBS Studio are super easy.

They can be added via an "Image" source.

They generally should be a PNG file for the best quality and to maintain transparency

for overlays.

You can make the graphics yourself using a program like GIMP, Paint.Net, or Photoshop

- or anything really - and import them.

Or, you can hire out!

There are lots of aspiring graphics artists that are willing to create stream graphics

for cheap or free to get their name out there.

A guy I've commissioned channel and stream art in the past from is Quinn or @SlenderSlay

on Twitter.

You can check out his portfolio at slenderslay.myportfolio.com and hit him up on Twitter for graphics work.

Whomever you commission will deliver your graphics in .PNG format for you to use in

OBS or Twitch.

Annoyingly, Twitch makes you change your channel graphics in very different places.

To upload an avatar and offline image, click your avatar in the bottom-left corner and

click "Settings."

You change your avatar, or profile picture, on the normal "Profile" tab, and your

offline image in the "Channel & Videos" tab.

Your banner needs changed by going to your actual Twitch channel page and clicking "Edit"

then "Change Cover Image."

You can also edit your panels and panel graphics below your stream video player.

On the OBS side of things, you can do a few different things, based on how you're wanting

to use graphics.

For most things, you're going to use an "Image" source.

To add an overlay showcasing your channel name, outlining your webcam, and so on.

Identifiers for your stream labels, backgrounds for non-widescreen views, and so on.

I utilize the "Image Slideshow" source for my "Stream Starting Soon", "Be Right

Back", and "Stream is Now Offline" graphics in OBS.

I've made a slide saying those things, and then a couple slides for some of my sponsors

and my top Patrons on Patreon.

I usually have music playing during these scenes, which combined with the active nature

of slide shows instead of still images, contributes a little to keeping viewers around during

these scenes.

If you're making your own graphics, they generally should be made in 16 by 9 aspect

ratio, generally at 1280x720 or 1920x1080 resolution to match your stream or recording

settings.

Just remember to save your original project files - the PSD in Photoshop, for example

- of your work.

That way when you need to make changes or updates, you can just edit the original file

instead of starting from scratch.

If you commissioned out, you can request the original PSD file or request an update from

whomever you commissioned it from.

I also wanted to reference you to this resource by NerdOrDie.

I don't know - they're someone.

But, this isn't sponsored or anything.

This is just something I stumbled upon from a subReddit or something like that.

But if you want basic graphics for under your Twitch panels, which I can actually show you....

Twitch.tv/eposvox - If you look below someone's Twitch channel here..

Where it says "About Me," "Specs," "Chat Rules," all that kind of stuff - You want a super

easy way to get that?

This site, which I will have linked in the video description - it's on NerdOrDie's website

so it's not an easy link for me to reference - But they have customizable panels here.

So you can customize the color of the icon for either preset colors or choose your own

rainbow.

You can choose the right side color, which I have left on the normal setting.

But you can customize it however you like.

You can choose the icon, and they do have many popular platforms and websites and games

and things like that.

So there's Battle.net, DeviantArt, Extra Life, Facebook, Twitch, and so on - you can add

a little icon there.

You cannot add custom ones, but hey.

You can change the test font, of course it will eventually just crop off there.

You can vertically align the test to your liking.

You can choose whether that padding at the bottom is there or not.

I do not like it because then I have to crop it off on Twitch, which is a little annoying.

You can choose the font family.

If you have a font that you already have on your system.

Bam, you just type in the font and it pulls it from your system.

Which is... a little weird, so you have to have the exact name of the font.

But it does work, I can pull up my VCR font there.

And then you give it a file name.

So we'll call it BattleNetJK and then you click Download and it gives you a PNG file

for you to upload.

And then over on the Twitch side of things.

You go below your video player, click.

Click where it says "Edit Panels," and then you can customize the image by choosing "Add

Image" and adding some text.

This is Markdown formatting.

At the very bottom, if you don't actually have any, then you click Plus and hit "Add

a text or image panel" and so on.

And, of course, there are the options for Twitch Extensions, which I haven't messed

a whole lot with.

Once you've customized these to your liking, with the different images and text formatting,

hit submit under each change.

So if I put a space there... hit Submit.

It's submits the change to go public, and then you turn off Edit Panels and review your

settings.

I hope this episode of my OBS Studio tutorial course has been helpful for you.

Monsanto Faces Blowback Over Cancer Cover Up - Duration: 15:25.

Monsanto Faces Blowback Over Cancer Cover-Up

by Edward Morgan

A release of internal emails has revealed that U.S. agrochemical giant Monsanto manipulated

studies of the companys herbicide, Roundup.

Experts believe the product causes cancer and the consequences for the company could

be dire.

Some companies reputations are so poor that the public already has low expectations

when it comes to their ethics and business practices.

That doesnt make it any less shocking when the accusations against them are confirmed

in black and white.

Agricultural chemicals giant Monsanto is under fire because the companys herbicide, Roundup

(active ingredient: glyphosate), is suspected of being carcinogenic.

Permission to sell the chemical in the European Union expires on December 15 with member states

set to decide on Wednesday whether to renew it for another 10 years.

And now, the longstanding dispute about glyphosate has been brought to a head by the release

of explosive documents.

Monsantos strategies for whitewashing glyphosate have been revealed in internal e-mails, presentations

and memos.

Even worse, these Monsanto Papers suggest that the company doesnt even seem to know

whether Roundup is harmless to peoples health.

You cannot say that Roundup is not a carcinogen, Monsanto toxicologist Donna Farmer wrote in

one of the emails.

We have not done the necessary testing on the formulation to make that statement.

The email, sent on Nov. 22, 2003, is one of more than 100 documents that a court in the

United States ordered Monsanto to provide as evidence after about 2,000 plaintiffs demanded

compensation from Monsanto in class-action suits.

They claim that Roundup has caused non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a form of lymph node cancer, in

them or members of their family.

The documents suggest the company concealed risks, making their publication a disaster

for the company.

The matter is also likely to be a topic of discussion at Bayer, the German chemical company

in the process of acquiring Monsanto.

The Monsanto Papers tell an alarming story of ghostwriting, scientific manipulation and

the withholding of information, says Michael Baum, a partner in the law firm of Baum, Hedlund,

Aristei & Goldman, which is bringing one of the US class actions.

According to Baum, Monsanto used the same strategies as the tobacco industry: creating

doubt, attacking people, doing ghostwriting.

Glyphosate is the worlds most used herbicide.

Companies like Monsanto, Syngenta and Bayer produce more than 800,000 metric tons of the

subtance every year and sell it around the world.

Farmers use the agent to clean the slate while preparing fields for the new sowing season,

or spray it on potato or rapeseed fields to kill the plants just before maturity, making

harvesting easier.

The popular agricultural chemical has been in use for more than 40 years and can now

be found almost everywhere: in the urine of humans and animals, in milk, in beer, in ice

cream, and above all in feed pellets from the United States and Brazil, which also end

up being fed to German cattle and pigs.

Glyphosate was long considered harmless to human health because it inhibits a metabolic

pathway that is essential for plants but does not occur in mammals.

But is the product really that harmless?

In March 2015, one of the worlds highest authorities raised doubts about the pesticide.

The International Agency for Cancer Research (IARC), a body under the umbrella of the World

Health Organization, classified glyphosate as probably carcinogenic to humans.

The decision triggered class action lawsuits in the USA.

Company Expected the Blowback

Monsanto reacted immediately.

The IARC assessment contradicts the decades of ongoing comprehensive safety reviews by

the leading regulatory authorities around the world, said Chief Technology Officer

Robb Fraley.

CEO Hugh Grant derided the study, calling it junk science.

But it turns out Monsanto expected the IARC decision.

Researchers at company headquarters in St. Louis knew from the outset that the panel

of experts would issue a cancer warning.

What we have long been concerned about has happened, Farmer, the toxicologist,

wrote in September 2014.

Glyphosate is on for an IARC review in March of 2015. A month later another Monsanto

scientist, William Heydens, expressed more specific concerns.

He wrote that Monsanto not only has a vulnerability in the area of epidemiology, but also potentially

in the areas of exposure, genetox and mechanism of action. Genetox is short for genotoxicity

and describes whether a substance causes damage to genetic material, which in turn can cause

cancer.

Epidemiological studies can be used to ascertain whether the occurrence of disease is associated

with certain substances, and help the IARC make its decision.

Studies in the United States, Canada and Sweden suggest that glyphosate increases the risk

of developing lymphatic cancer.

Graphic: Worldwide sales of glyphosate

DER SPIEGEL Graphic: Worldwide sales of glyphosate

According to one email, Monsanto conducted no such testing on the carcinogenicity

of Roundup.

Another one reads: We do not conduct any subchronic, chronic or teratogenicity studies

with our formulations. The latter would show whether Roundup can cause deformities,

as some studies suggest.

Rat embryos sprayed with diluted Roundup, for example, developed skeletal damage.

Monsanto didnt even trust its own experts.

This is how Farmer summed up an analysis by Monsanto consultant James Parry: Dr. Parry

concluded in his evaluation? that glyphosate is capable of producing genotoxicity. But

Farmer did not want this to be seen as a warning.

Instead, she wrote, further studies should be sent to him in order to move Dr. Parry

from his position.

Glyphosate appears not to be as harmless as the industry likes to claim, in part because

it also kills many microorganisms in addition to plants.

Although this is unlikely to directly affect humans and animals, it does apparently affect

the millions of bacteria in the intestinal flora known as the microbiome.

Leipzig-based veterinarian Monika Krger has observed that the prevalence of certain

microorganisms in the rumen changes when cattle feed on pellets containing glyphosate, and

that this affects the health of the animals.

However, the German Federal Institute for Risk Research (BfR), which is responsible

for the assessment of glyphosate in the EU, disagrees with her conclusions.

The Monsanto researchers also behaved irresponsibly when it comes to the question of Roundups

absorption into the body.

In their own animal experiments back in 2002, the companys experts discovered that between

5 and 10 percent of the substance penetrated the skin of rats.

The rate was much higher than expected and the result had the potential to blow

the Roundup risk evaluations, reads one e-mail.

As a consequence, the author of the email wrote: We decided thus to STOP the study.

Laboratory animals also absorbed more Roundup ingredients through the digestive tract than

had been hoped for.

Above all, the Monsanto papers show that the experts were very aware of a fact that is

often lost in the public debate: In addition to glyphosate, herbicides like Roundup contain

other dangerous chemicals that are necessary to enable the active ingredient to penetrate

hard plant walls, among other things.

These ingredients are often more harmful than the active ingredient on its own.

Different Verdicts

As a result of years of industry lobbying, many regulatory agencies assess the toxicity

of glyphosate in isolation, but not that of the mixtures that are sprayed.

The Environmental Protection Agency in the United States, the European Food Safety Authority

and the BfR all carry out so-called risk analyses.

In the studies evaluated for this purpose, researchers drip pure glyphosate into rat

feed.

Then they determine the amount of glyphosate at which no damage is inflicted on the animals.

Other studies determine the actual concentration of the substance in the environment.

The substance is deemed safe for use if the two values are far apart, as is the case with

glyphosate, which is which why it was deemed non-carcinogenic.

The hazard-related assessment that led to the IARC decision is different.

Researchers at the agency investigate whether a substance is dangerous in principle, irrespective

of the dose.

They also evaluate what happens when the complete mixtures, in this case Roundup, are sprayed.

Although it is difficult to effectively control the conditions in such epidemiological studies,

they are a more accurate reflection of reality and led to the IARC verdict: probably

carcinogenic.

The Monsanto experts came to a similar conclusion.

Glyphosate is OK, but the formulated product causes the damage, Monsanto researcher

Heydens wrote to Donna Farmer.

Monsanto did nothing to warn the public.

Instead, the company continued its massive lobbying campaign and did everything conceivable

to discredit researchers whose work was not in Monsantos interest.

The article you are reading originally appeared in German in issue 43/2017 (October 21st,

2017) of DER SPIEGEL.

FAQ: Everything You Need to Know about DER SPIEGEL

Six Decades of Quality Journalism: The History of DER SPIEGEL

Reprints: How To License SPIEGEL Articles One of the victims of their campaign was French

toxicologist Gilles-ric Sralini.

He did exactly what Monsanto should have done.

For two years, Sralini dripped Roundup into the drinking water of laboratory rats

and fed them glyphosate-laden, genetically modified corn.

What he found was alarming: Some of the animals developed kidney damage, while the females

developed breast cancer at remarkably high rates.

When the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology published the study in September 2012, all

hell broke loose in Sralinis life.

Hundreds of researchers protested and Sralini was accused of making false statements

and using animals for propaganda purposes. The journal withdrew the publication in November

2013.

It may have been a coincidence, but the magazine had appointed a former Monsanto employee to

its advisory board six months earlier.

The internal memos also confirm how Monsanto exerted pressure.

David Saltmiras, a Monsanto expert at the time, boasted that he had successfully

facilitated numerous third party letters to the editor. He described his actions as

being in our own best interest and as the last rites for Sralinis few remaining

shreds of credibility.

The methods of Sralinis work were indeed open to criticism, which made it easy for

the Monsanto expert.

But the same pattern occurred after the IARCs hazard assessment.

In that case, Monsanto even prepared a detailed preparedness and engagement plan to

challenge the conclusions reached by the IARC cancer experts.

The company hired a team of researchers and lobbying experts hoping to orchestrate

outcry, and discredit the IARC as an organization with a history of questionable and politically

charged rulings.

A storm of indignation did in fact break out after the IARC vote and the organizations

funding was called into question.

As recently as June, it was falsely reported that a member of the IARC had withheld information.

The Monsanto battle plan also called for three new papers on glyphosate. A critical review

of the IARC assessment appeared in 2016.

The internal documents show that Monsanto greatly influenced its content.

Two of the authors apparently received money directly from Monsanto.

Former employee John Acquavella was paid $20,700 (17,560) for consulting hours ? related

to the glyphosate expert epidemiology panel.

Monsanto denies the accusation that it sought to exert influence on the research.

But the company had no comment on the other allegations.

Several questions remain unanswered.

Why doesnt Monsanto publish the results of its own research?

And why doesnt the company simply pay for the Sralini study to be independently carried

out a second time, which could dispel all doubts?

A Future in Doubt for Roundup

Monsanto would do everything possible to protect its product, Roundup, says Daniel

Boese of the Avaaz civic organization.

The company deceived consumers and influenced expert opinions for years, he explains.

According to Boese, Monsanto destroys scientific safety mechanisms that the public actually

relies on, and its lobbying influence is enormous.

For instance, portions of the BfRs glyphosate report are taken from documents from the Glyphosate

Task Force, a Monsanto-led industry association.

The BfR rejects the accusation of plagiarism.

Europes politicians ought to take a closer look at the Monsanto papers before authorizing

glyphosate for another 10 years.

Italy, Austria and France already plan to vote against the extension.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel hasnt yet made up her mind.

We will do our utmost to ensure that you can continue to use this substance where necessary,

she told farmers at the German Farmers Day event in June.

But Merkel could find it difficult to keep this promise in a possible coalition government

with the pro-environment Greens.

In any case, Europes farmers would be well advised to consider the fate of Jack McCall,

whose widow Teri is one of the plaintiffs in the United States.

The California farmer had sprayed Roundup in his orchards for decades, where he was

often accompanied by a loyal companion: his dog Duke.

Duke died of lymphoma.

McCall died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma a few years later.

You're kidding me! I can't believe it, Leo !!

[ LAUGHTERS FROM PIRA INSIDE THE CAR ]

Dude, I can't believe it !!

[Alex and I first met over internet. In 2007 we met in person.

We traveled together for several Brazilian states, With no money, by hitchhiking.

We haven't seen each other for 5 years. ]

Are we hitchhiking in the rain?

Who knows?

Ahhh, almost stopped!

Sure they would pick up two people hidden behind a tree.

My phone will end up broken with so much rain.

Look, I'm all wet, there is no ceiling here!

- Dear!! - Damn, bro !!

When we used to travel together you loved to surprise others. Your turn!

Dude, my legs are shaking!

- Get in the fucking car! - I got it on video! [laughs]

Why it feels so hot now!

I can't believe you!

I thought you were somewhere in Europe!

But why did you pull over if I was not hitchhiking?

- When we were coming, I saw a person standing there. - Did you see him in the dark ??

- I did. - I haven't seen anyone!

Then Pira said: Stop the car, there's a hitchhiker!

I said: But he's not hitchhiking!

I better stop and ask, right? Maybe he is!

- First, I'm recording a video. - Oh, lord!

Then we stop recording.

Where is Pira to record this?

Alex is teaching me how to shave.

- It's hard, look at this! - I'm just watching, actually.

I want to see how you shave your chin

- Me too, there you go! - No! No!

I might cut you! No! You better do it yourself.

See if you like it?

You have to do it harder, isn't it?

Yes, usually I do it harder.

- Can you do it? - No, I can't!

Come on, if you cut me it's ok. Have you seen my arms?

Why did we cut ourselves as teenagers, can someone tell me?

- Because we were not traveling! - Oh, got it.

Looks great!

Looks beautiful!

Look, there's some hair growing here

You have to look closer

Soon you will have more beard than me!

Here comes the one who'll stop!

Not this time!

It's hard to hitchhike out of São Paulo !

Leo, enough! Otherwise this video will not fit on Youtube!

No one will watch it! "It will not fit on Youtube!"

One hour long, right? No one will watch it!

Decoding Spiritual Practice Don't Be Perfect, Be Human! - Duration: 2:31.

Decoding Spiritual Practice Dont Be Perfect, Be Human!

by Conscious Reminder

Those of you who are on an endeavor to connect with the divine would know all about the different

struggles of finally establishing that connection.

Youd be looking for the exact right Spiritual practice to follow, how and how much to meditate,

the best rituals which will nourish you from within and so on.

In this quest youd have come across and accepted a few and rejected the rest of the

visualizations, or mantras or anything else that could be constructive in allowing you

to be one with the Universe.

But there is one certain disadvantage in this search for perfection.

You see, we tend to be competitive and have this urge to excel at anything that we do

that more often than not, the whole practice becomes an attempt to be perfect and chasing

that idea of perfection instead of rejoicing in how you feel in the moment.

Spiritual practice are not about being the best at meditation or knowing the exact mantras

to help you tap in the vein of the universe.

It is about your personal journey which you should take at your own pace and cherish every

step on the way.

And what is the point of bearing yourself up about not having achieved that certain

perfection, when it doesnt even matter in the larger scheme of things.

This idea of perfection is related to your search for your higher self that is true.

But then, being human is synonymous with being imperfect.

That is how we are and that is how we function.

If we keep harking on this imagined idea of perfection, which we havent achieved yet

and therefore we dont know anything about, we are suppressing our essential humaneness.

So the one thing that you need to concentrate in your Spiritual practice is to allow yourself

to feel human, to be imperfect and yet glow in the light of

the Divine.

What if North Korea Didn't Exist? - Duration: 3:44.

Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, I'm Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey.

We're on Patreon now, stay tuned to the end to hear more about how you can help out

and make your voice heard!

North Korea has been at the centre of global politics for some time now, having become

more and more militarized since it split from the South after the allied victory in 1945.

But what if this split never happened?

Let's explore.

So get ready, it's time to answer the question: What if North Korea Didn't Exist?

Before explaining what would have happened without the divide, I should briefly discuss

what caused the split in the first place.

Since essentially all of Korea was ruled by Imperial Japan up until the end of the war,

it was split along the 38th parallel, with the US taking control of the South, while

the USSR took the North.

The huge difference in political beliefs between America and The Soviet Union caused a great

rift between the two parts of the country, leading to Cold War hostilities and the Korean

War.

However, in this video, I'll be following an alternate history where Korea was never

divided on the 38th parallel, with America gaining full temporary control, and thus greatly

limiting the influence of communism.

This has a number of implications on the world at large in the following decades.

In the near future, Korea would not be used as a pawn in the fight between the US and

the Soviet Union, and wouldn't have been ravaged by the Korean War.

This would obviously be very beneficial to both the citizens of Korea, and the United

States, since it was a war that many Americans opposed.

More recently, the tension between North Korea and, well, most other countries would be removed

without the split.

North Korea wouldn't be building nukes and threatening to use them on neighbouring countries.

This would, of course, be excellent, allowing for much healthier engagement between the

East and the West.

Nuclear weapons tend to make people a bit uncomfortable.

However, there's a good chance that if there wasn't this terrible dictatorship to hold

up as the boogeyman, the West would simply have focused on a different country full of

atrocities.

For example, the focus might instead have been on Sudan, and Omar al-Bashir's alleged

war crimes in Darfur.

It's useful for a government to have a terrible example to point to, as it helps the good

guys look better, and helps to defend their actions in the eyes of the citizens.

Not to mention that the Sudan situation is pretty crazy and really should be getting

more attention.

If the two Koreas had remained United, life in the Northern part of Korea would be far

better.

In previous decades, farmers were forced to give huge portions of their crops to the capital,

leaving many unable to provide for themselves, while the government's refusal to trade

with other countries caused still more famine.

Without the terrible economic mismanagement of the North Korean government, farmers would

be able to sustain themselves much better, and trade could fill in any gaps that might

be lacking.

The lack of trade with North Korea is currently hurting them greatly.

Many reports indicate that North Korea is sitting on trillions of dollars' worth of

mineral resources, with estimates going as high as 10 trillion dollars.

They are currently severely hamstrung, with numerous trade embargos limiting their trading

partners.

However, if the Koreas never split, and had better relations with other countries, there's

a good chance that these minerals would be a much needed economic boost.

And now we return to our question: What if North Korea Didn't Exist?

Well, the world would be quite different.

The most significant differences would, of course, be found in the northern part of Korea,

which would see a great deal more economic prosperity in the decades after the 2nd world

war.

Tensions in the area would be much relieved, and the Korean War likely would not have occurred.

While the North Korean boogeyman wouldn't be around to scare people, the West would

likely just pay more attention to other atrocities in the world; sadly, there is no shortage

to choose from.

And finally, before you say it, this video wouldn't exist.

Gosh I'm clever.

Loni Love Breaks Down Avoiding Extra Charges - Duration: 2:51.

Have you ever been upsold on something?

Cuz I'm not gonna lie.

Now that I live, you guys know I live in Bel Air now, which sounds so

bouji when I say it.

I feel like they should cue the theme music to Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

But now sometimes when we tell people where we live and they're coming to do

something at our house, they'll charge us way more because of the location.

They just try to sell you for way more,

because they're like, they must be whatever, so then we can charge them more.

My husband ain't having it.

>> [LAUGH] >> Well,

they do that cuz you're on television.

[CROSSTALK] I mean, they're like you're Lonnie Love?

Lonnie the broke love, that's who I am.

>> [LAUGH] >> I don't blame them.

I don't blame them.

>> My mom loves going thrift shopping, or flea markets, and she makes it

a point to pack her brokest looking bag, and she wears just broke looking sweats.

Cuz she thinks when you poor, it cheap.

When you rich, they chack.

>> [LAUGH] >> [CROSSTALK]

>> They chack.

>> One more time, they what?

>> Vietnamese people don't know how to say charge, so they say chack.

>> [LAUGH] >> Yeah, it's true.

>> Go ahead.

>> No, no, before I did this show, I really didn't wear a lot of wigs.

>> Yeah. >> And

I started to wear lots of wigs to protect my hair.

>> Yeah, heat protection.

>> Yes, protective styles.

And I didn't realize yo, wigs, it's really expensive.

>> Yes. [CROSSTALK]

>> Not all of them.

>> I know.

>> At Compton swap meet, I can get you some wigs now.

>> [APPLAUSE] >> [LAUGH]

>> But Loni,

I learned the difference though.

When you put heat on a synthetic wig- >> It melts, am I right?

>> Yes. >> And I learned that the hard way.

>> [LAUGH] >> You didn't learn that with Barbie?

>> I know.

>> I wasn't, no, I didn't.

>> [CROSSTALK] >> Ironing her Barbie's hair.

>> I was.

>> I'm gonna tell you the people that you have to watch out for,

is when you go to the beauty salon, right?

And you get your hair done, cuz they don't usually post prices, and

they're always ticking.

That's why I'm not afraid to ask.

The minute they- >> You gotta ask.

You gotta ask.

>> Because if they color, if they cut, if they add a special conditioner.

You walk up out of there, I mean, one time my hairdresser was looking at her bills,

going, okay my light bill is $23.

>> [LAUGH] >> My gas bill, 246, I'm like no, girl,

for real.

>> Yeah, that's crazy, but they will upcharge you, especially,

naturally if they that think you have it, they're going to charge you for it,

which is just wrong, it's wrong.

>> I say, make sure that you know, any type of service, ask them up front.

That way you're not surprised at the end.

>> True. >> [APPLAUSE]

>> That's it.

What The Cast Of NYPD Blue Looks Like Today - Duration: 7:32.

When it premiered on ABC in September of 1993, NYPD Blue made television history with its

gritty portrayal of the exploits of Manhattan's 15th police precinct.

Using documentary-style camerawork and a healthy dose of PG-13 material, creators Steven Bochco

and David Milch ushered network television into a bold new era of creative storytelling.

During its 12-season run, the show formed a solid ensemble of talented actors, many

of whom got their big break on the critically acclaimed series.

Let's look back at some of the most notable NYPD Blue cast members and discover what they've

been up to since turning in their badges.

David Caruso

Prior to busting perps as Detective John Kelly, David Caruso had a solid career, from playing

a cop in Rambo: First Blood, to playing a gang leader in Bochco's groundbreaking series

Hill Street Blues.

The success of NYPD Blue launched Caruso onto the A list — and he famously left the show

after the first season to star in forgettable films like Kiss of Death… which pretty much

described Caruso's attempts at big-screen stardom.

Caruso revitalized his career by returning to TV for 10 seasons of CSI: Miami.

As Lieutenant Horatio Caine, his penchant for puns and dark sunglasses achieved pretty

epic meme status.

"Friend said she came down to drink mojitos and catch some sun."

"Well it looks like… something… caught caught her."

Caruso has kept a low profile since CSI: Miami ended in 2012.

Steven Bochco later opened up about his tumultuous working relationship with Caruso, calling

the star's behavior on the NYPD Blue set "cancerous" and alleging he had outrageous demands, like

$100,000 per episode and a 38-ft trailer.

Dennis Franz

Though he's forever associated with cantankerous recovering alcoholic Detective Andy Sipowicz,

Franz previously played the equally irritable Lt. Norman Buntz on Hill Street Blues... and

its forgotten fish-out-of-water comedy spinoff Beverly Hills Buntz.

As Sipowicz, Franz scored four Emmys, and one memorable nude shower scene.

Following NYPD Blue's final season, Franz left showbiz to focus on a quiet life that

presumably doesn't involve smacking suspects with phone books.

He resurfaced at the 2016 Emmys, reuniting with former costar Jimmy Smits to the delight

of fans.

Maybe it's time for Netflix to greenlight Sipowicz: The Frickin' Golden Years.

Jimmy Smits

L.A. Law star Jimmy Smits joined the cast of NYPD Blue in season two as Sipowicz's partner

Bobby Simone, after Caruso's John Kelly resigned from the force.

Simone's tragic death from a heart condition made for one of the most moving episodes of

the series.

Smits, on the other hand, is alive and well, and recently appeared as Senator Donovan on

24: Legacy.

Smits also had memorable runs on shows like The West Wing, Sons of Anarchy and Dexter.

He also returned to the character he played in the Star Wars prequels, Senator Bail Organa,

for 2016's hit film Rogue One.

But the best role he's ever played?

Johnny Wilson, Conky Repairman, on Pee-Wee's playhouse:

"Johnny Wilson, authorized Conky repairman at your service, Miss?"

"Yvonne."

"Where's my..."

"Is that a wrench in your pocket?"

"Ah!

That's a wrench!

Thank you very much."

Kim Delaney

Actress Kim Delaney brought grit to the role of Detective Diane Russell, whose battles

with alcoholism and tumultuous relationships with fellow cops made for some juicy storylines.

The part earned Delaney an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress.

After leaving Blue, Delaney took the lead role on Steven Bochco's short-lived legal

drama Philly and had a brief run opposite David Caruso on CSI: Miami.

Following six seasons on the Lifetime series Army Wives, Delaney again reunited with Bochco

for a role on his TNT series Murder in the First.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar

Fans were surprised when Zack Morris himself, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, joined NYPD Blue in season

9 as a replacement for departed cast member Rick Schroder.

Gosselaar's Detective John Clark held his own opposite the cast and remained with the

show until it came to an end in 2005.

Who knew Gosselaar would prove to be the best actor among the Bayside bunch?

With roles on everything from Franklin and Bash to the FOX baseball series Pitch, Gosselaar

has remained a reliable presence on the small screen.

He also relived his giant cellphone-toting days in a Saved by the Bell reunion on The

Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Gordon Clapp

With his constant motormouth and awkward demeanor, Detective Greg Medavoy brought comic relief

to the 15th precinct.

A regular on NYPD Blue throughout its entire run, Medavoy grew to be a fan favorite and

an Emmy winner.

Gordon Clapp continues to work in theater, earning a Tony nomination for Glengarry Glen

Ross on Broadway, and on shows like Damages and Elementary.

These days he has a recurring role as Chaplain Orlovsky on Chicago Fire.

Nicholas Turturro

John Turturro's younger brother made a name for himself on NYPD Blue, scoring an Emmy

nomination for his role as Detective James Martinez.

Martinez was a crucial part of the squad before being promoted to sergeant in season 7 and

saying goodbye to the 15th precinct.

Turturro returned to the "blue" brotherhood for his role as Sgt.

Renzulli on CBS' Blue Bloods, and his voice can be heard as the ghostly superhero Deadman

in the Justice League Dark animated movie.

"Batman's head of me?

Sweet!

Tell him I'm a fan of his too."

He also showed off his comedic chops in films like Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 and Bucky Larson:

Born to Be a Star.

James McDaniel

As Lieutenant Arthur Fancy, James McDaniel held the 15th Precinct together with his calm

yet commanding presence, eventually being promoted to captain.

McDaniel left the show after season eight, and while the precinct had other captains,

they don't hold a candle to McDaniel.

With a deep resume that includes theatrical productions and films like Malcolm X and TV

shows like Sleepy Hollow and The Good Wife, McDaniel has kept busy since hanging up his

gun and shield.

He also has the dubious distinction of having starred on Steven Bochco's infamous musical

police procedural Cop Rock.

And rock it did not.

Henry Simmons

Joining Blue in its seventh season as Medavoy's new partner Baldwin Jones, Henry Simmons was

one half of a formidable team, with Jones' intensity and Medavoy's persistence working

in tandem to get confessions out of "skels."

Simmons is currently part of the Marvel TV universe as Mack on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

You may have also caught him on shows like Ravenswood, and Man Up.

Bill Brochtrup

As P.A.A.

"Upstairs" John Irvin, Bill Brochtrup brought heart, diversity, and subtle humor to what

could have been a thankless, forgettable role.

Prior to Blue, Brochtrup was a regular on Steven Bochco shows like Total Security and

the doomed cop comedy Public Morals.

These days Brochtrup keeps busy in the theater world and brings the same sensitivity he brought

to John to his role as psychologist Dr. Bowman on TNT's Major Crimes.

Sharon Lawrence

ADA Sylvia Costas was on the receiving end of one of Sipowicz's most memorably profane

rants in the pilot episode of NYPD Blue, but she eventually fell for his gruff charms and

married the ol' lug.

Her murder during season six left Sipowicz to raise their infant son alone.

Actress Sharon Lawrence, who scored three Emmy Nominations for her role, left the series

in 1996 to costar with Leah Remini on the short-lived NBC sitcom Fired Up.

A TV vet, she's had memorable roles on shows like Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy,

and Shameless.

Charlotte Ross

Prior to NYPD Blue, Charlotte Ross cut her teeth in the soap opera world and starred

on the short-lived FOX musical drama The Heights.

She joined the cop drama in 2001, and made a splash when her character Detective Connie

McDowell appeared partially nude in a controversial 2004 episode.

The sweet-natured McDowell would eventually melt grumpy ol' Sipowicz's heart, and the

pair married and raised kids in the show's later seasons.

Ross has kept busy on television since Blue ended, with turns on shows like Glee and Nashville.

Arrow fans will recognize her as Felicity Smoak's brassy mom Donna on the hit CW superhero

show.

5 Ways Strength Training Makes Triathletes Faster Without Training Harder - Duration: 7:13.

- I feel funny just walking around with it.

Focusing on strength right now, why it's important

to all of us.

It's about swimming 20% faster, but--

Morning trainiacs, bit of a backwards day here.

We've got a technique session with Coach Pat

later this evening in the pool,

so that means that this morning,

I'm gonna get my swell on.

I still have my old weightlifting belt

from when I thought I was gonna be body building.

Got lifting chalk all over it, straps,

feel funny just walking around with it.

So, if you were to look at a lot of pro-triathletes,

some, not all, do strength work.

However, what we find is that as they go on

longer in their career, they look back and they say,

"Oh my God, I should have done more strength work,"

because it would've eliminated even just a little

injuries and a lot of the maintenance work

and any of the down time that they had to take

over the course of their career.

People like Dave Scott, Craig Alexander,

the best of the best are saying that they should have

spent more time on strength work.

By the way, go to triathlontaren.com/strengthroutine

if you want this strength routine.

So, here's five reasons that I came up with this morning

over tea in my PJs about why I'm focusing on

strength right now, why it's important to all of us.

The first reason is because in a race,

it can be even as short as a sprint race,

if our bodies are repeating anything 10, 15,

20,000 times with steps, with paddle strokes,

with strokes, there's a lot of small little turbulence

every time we land on the ground.

There's a little bit of turbulence that our body

has to take that shock.

If our body isn't strong enough to keep that

turbulence under control, keep that load under control,

towards the end of a race, our bodies are gonna break down.

Now, let's go get jacked up!

Well, the next reason is very much related

to that last reason to do strength training

and that's to avoid injury.

Now, all those little instabilities, as you're training,

they cause a lot of side to side movement.

So, as we're running, as we're swimming,

as we're cycling in a forward plain,

even though we're going forward, all that load

on an unstable, not strong structure is gonna cause

little bits of side movement, particularly I tend to get

a fair bit of instability in my back, which early on

caused back pain and doing a little bit of strength work

allowed my body to keep it upright,

keep it moving forward and avoiding those little

micro movements side to side.

Those are often what creates injury.

(cheery music)

The next reason that strength training is important

is for range of motion.

What we try to do in this strength routine

is load up our muscles with as much weight as possible

and getting our body in a situation where it has to

recruit all these muscle fibers that it doesn't recruit

just walking because that's easy for it

but we're going to deep muscle fibers,

teaching them how to activate.

Because we have more muscle fibers activated,

there's gonna be a bigger range of motion.

So, what that's gonna result in is

we're gonna, let's say running for instance,

instead of having hip impingement and being able to

get to there with a running stride,

you can all of a sudden lift our leg up much higher.

We can kick it back further.

We can stay in the air longer, less drag,

we run faster.

Do away with this now that I am not pretending to be

Ronnie Coleman anymore.

Light weight maybe.

The next reason is basically along the same lines

as the last one, but different purpose.

So, the more muscle fibers that we can recruit,

the better we're gonna be in a race.

We're gonna perform better while we're training.

Just think about it.

If you have to run whatever, doesn't matter what distance,

5K and you're using 70% of the muscle fibers

in your legs, do ya think you'd do better

if you had to run that same 5K and you're able to use

95% of the muscle fibers in your legs?

Just by nature, if we're loading our body up,

teaching all the muscle fibers to fire,

creating those neuromuscular connections that we can use

as much of our structure, our body as possible,

we're probably gonna be a fair bit faster, right?

Right, 15s, steppin' up.

(upbeat music)

The last reason that strength training is really beneficial

is for balance, body awareness.

The more different situations that we can put

our bodies and particularly with this routine

where a lot of it is single leg or balance

focused or stability focused, we are going to

build the body awareness to make those tiny little

instant micro adjustments throughout the course

of a race that are gonna keep us more upright,

keep us safer, keep us faster.

Oh, give you a bonus because I was like,

those were all really related.

Four and a 16th tips there.

An actual one is as we get older, especially men

but all of us, our testosterone production ends up

ramping down.

Loading really heavy weights onto your body,

that ends up kinda stimulating testosterone production,

which has uncountable benefits to your body.

So, think that gets us to a total of five, roundabout.

And seven hours later, we are back

at the pool.

That was an excellent technique session there

with the Patster.

There's a video that I did that I'll link to

up here, it's about swimming 20% faster but by

having 20% longer stroke where I analyze Trout

from our swim group's stroke because he's just

so far out there and he comes so far back.

Pat gave me a little bit of tips to keep in mind

for how to lengthen out that stroke.

Smart man, that Pat, smart man.

Alright, later trainiacs, let's go.

Datsuzoku - You Are Creative - Duration: 4:17.

Hello, welcome to "counselling & words" and to my word of today which is the

Japanese word "datsuzoku".

By chance I came across the Japanese word "datsuzoku",

which is one of the seven principles of Zen Buddhism. The meaning of the word is

escape from routine, or break from routine. If you break down the word in

its associated characters, you get the following: the first part means to remove,

to get rid of; and the second part means behaviour,

security, routine, worldly things. "Datsuzoku" means remove worldly things, free

yourself from routine. Usually we follow given patterns and tracks. We are used to

knowing what will happen tomorrow, what we are going to eat tonight, or what are

we going to do next year. Life is planned and everyone around us lives like that. I

guess it's the normal thing to do. The years go by and at some point we may

stop and think "was that it?" As long as we remain in our routine, we are at peace.

Everything is alright but where is the adventure? Where is the healthy

excitement? Where is the experience that sharpens our senses? Where and when are

we really challenged? I'm sure that all people know it, that feeling that things

can happen to us, that put us on alert and throw us unexpectedly out of

everyday life. All of a sudden the day doesn't turn out the way we thought it

would. All of a sudden we have to change our plans and go another way. Simple

things like the breakdown of our car, or the washing

machine, a train strike, an accident, an exam you didn't pass, an illness. Suddenly

everything you normally take for granted, becomes vitally important. How you cope

with a problem; how you are forced to focus on a solution; how you can get help

immediately. You have to activate your resources quickly and determined. These

are all the resources you need for a creative solution; and these resources

were there all along! But it was the interruption of everyday life that

brought them to your attention. In my opinion we are too easily scared and

insecure if unexpected things are happening. But knowing that we can cope

with them and sometimes even achieve something better, might help us to react

more confidently the next time when we get under stress. The Zen lesson here is:

An interruptive break is an important part of any breakthrough design! Well,

that was about my Japanese word "datsuzoku" free yourself from routine. Thanks

a lot for watching, I hope you enjoyed the talk. If so, give my video a thumbs up,

subscribe to my channel, and I'll see you very soon with a new word, Bye bye!

Top 10 Craziest Handmade Prison Weapons - Duration: 6:36.

Top 10 Craziest Handmade Prison Weapons How's it going YouTube?

I'm Landon Dowlatsingh and welcome back to another most amazing top 10 video.

Let's face it, inmates have a lot of time on their hands and prisons can be very violent.

A lot of inmates feel like they have to create weapons in order to survive.

So here are the top 10 craziest handmade prison weapons.

Let's get this violent list started in at number 10 with Can Tops.

This is probably one of the most common prison weapon because it is so easy to get a hold

of.

So when you remove the top of a tin can, the edges of the lid are jagged and pretty sharp

right?

Well this is exactly what prisoners are looking for.

The violent and dangerous inmates will take these tins can lids and use them to hurt others.

The inmates purchase canned food from the commissary and keep the can lids to use as

weapons.

How hasn't the prison system caught onto this and why haven't they done anything

about it?

Things get more crafty in at number 9 with Matchstick Sword.

An inmate in a Welsh prison built a whole bunch of Final Fantasy weapons out of match

sticks.

The guards were surprised to find that this inmate had such a big arsenal of replica weapons

made entirely out of match sticks and glue.

Despite looking like simple props, these weapons were actually sharpened to the point that

they could cause some pretty serious harm.

Lock In A Sock makes its debut in at number 8.

This is both an extremely easy weapon to make and also a deadly one.

Inmates put a padlock inside of a long sock and swing it around like a mace.

This is an easy weapon to make because prisoners always have socks and many prisoners have

locker rooms that require a padlock.

This homemade weapon can easily crack someone's skull open and maybe even cause brain damage.

And now in at number 7 we have a Crucifix Shiv.

A shiv is slang for any sharp or pointed object that can be used as a knife.

Toothbrushes are most commonly used as a shiv because they are widely accessible and they

can easily be filed down to create a sharp point.

However, an inmate in a prison over in German made the ultimate shiv and concealed it in

a wooden crucifix so that the guards would never find it.

Just look at this thing, it looks like it can do some serious damage.

Chair Leg Nunchucks fight their way into number 6.

This weapon is actually so much more dangerous than it looks.

An inmate was able to fight off a dozen armed guards and escape using these nunchucks that

he made out of two chair legs and a bed sheet.

He must've channeled his inner Bruce Lee because that seems like an impossible situation

I mean he broke through a window, squeezed through an escape hatch and climbed over two

razor wire walls.

Toilet Paper Shank stabs its way into number 5.

Is this real life right now, take a look at this shank.

This weapon was confiscated from an inmate at a maximum correctional facility.

The weapon is made entirely out of toilet paper and it only took the inmate four hours

to come up with a plan to make this.

This weapon has the potential to cause serious injury or even death.

Oh and apparently it can be placed into the toilet to soften and then flushed so that

the guards would never be able to find it.

Up next in at number 4 we have Spears.

You'd be surprised but spears are actually a popular weapon in prisons because they are

easy to make.

All you need is a handle which can be made from the metal post of a bed and a sharp end

which can be made from sharpened steel.

Actually in 1985 a bunch of inmates at San Quentin prison in California studied the prison

guards routines and one day when an officer walked by one of the cells, the inmate thrusted

his handmade spear through the bars which stabbed the guard straight through his heart,

killing him instantly.

Crossbow shoots its way into number 3.

An inmate who was in solitary confinement in Manitoba, Canada, spent his time alone

in the dark constructing an incredibly complex crossbow.

He used 10 toothbrushes, tongs, string, a lighter and darts made out of tinfoil and

cotton swabs.

He also used a pen casing, wire coat hanger, electrical components, rubber gloves and some

Kleenex.

How did he get his hands on all of these items while in the hole?

Apparently, his darts could be fired as far as 40 feet.

The guards confiscated this weapon and put it on display.

I wonder if they tested it out first and had a crossbow fight, that would've been epic.

Number 2 brings us to Bedpost Shotgun.

This makeshift shotgun was made from iron bedposts, gunpowder and match heads.

It was constructed inside of a German prison and in order to fire this weapon, it needed

AA batteries and a broken light bulb.

Is this real-life right now?

It's so crazy what people can make in prison with limited resources.

Apparently, these inmates used this bedpost shotgun to take a guard hostage, shoot through

bullet proof glass, escape jail and steal a car.

Whoa, someone needs to make a movie based on these events this insane.

Exploding into our number 1 spot is a Bomb.

Convicted murderer Peter Saunders was spending his time locked behind bars at a maximum-security

facility and he decided to use his time wisely.

No, he wasn't interested in laying low or trying to rehabilitate himself.

He spent all of his time constructing a fire bomb that was made out of a battery, electrical

wires and ground up match heads and put them all in a magic marker.

He took things to the next level when he put his bomb inside of a hallowed-out book and

mailed it to a Federal judge who presided over his case.

Luckily the bomb was discovered and disarmed before it made it to the judge and now Peter

Saunders might be facing an additional 50 years behind bars.

Well there you guys have it…

Even though we want to believe that we're all created equal, we're certainly born

with different circumstances.

For the rich kids of Dubai, they are living a life that is unheard of for most people

around the world.

From driving the finest cars and eating the best gourmet food to having access to some

of the most expensive garments in the world, and overall living better than royalty, these

kids are living in a world that most us can only dream about.

We're giving shout outs for some of the best viewer comments!

Dubai is the largest city in the United Arab Emirates.

Think of New York City, but even more glitzy and glamourous.

Right now, Dubai is one of the hottest cities to be in.

Anyone who is anyone can be found in Dubai.

Especially royalty!

We're not talking about a one-horse town that might work for a nice vacation here and

there.

We're talking about Dubai being the hub and hottest destination for some of the most

important people in the world!

Thanks to Instagram, we're now getting a glimpse of what life is like for a group known

as the "Rich Kids of X."

This brand has become one of the biggest inspirations for books, television shows, and more.

The rich kids in Dubai definitely do not disappoint.

If anything, they set the bar higher when it comes to living a luxurious and rich life.

We can imagine that even the Kardashians are looking at these kids and feeling like they're

living on the other side of the railroad tracks.

The craziest thing is that these kids will likely never know what it's like to live

on a budget, let alone having to do their shopping at Walmart!

For a city with such a highly regarded reputation for the wealthy, it's no surprise that Dubai

is home to the largest shopping mall in the world.

From the finest threads of clothing to some of the most expensive jewelry in the world,

the rich kids of Dubai make sure that they are dressed in style.

Sure, many people might go to the mall for that super-duper mall food or just window

shop and dream.

But the rich kids will go to the mall with a purpose and it's their favorite hangout

after school.

You won't find them wearing anything older than last season.

When it comes to belonging to a rich family, it's all about image and reputation.

Part of what makes you stand out is what you are wearing.

From designer handbags that cost tens of thousands of dollars to the finest shoes you can put

on your feet.

These rich kids spare no expense in their style.

You will find million-dollar suits on the gentleman and maybe even major designers dressing

up the ladies personally.

When you have an unlimited amount of funds at your disposal, you can even have one of

a kind items being custom made to perfectly fit you!

Also, did we mention that these kids get special helpers to help them carry all their shopping

bags around?

To these businesses, it's worth the investment!

What brings humanity together is food.

We love food and we survive on food.

While some people are barely getting by with a meal, the rich kids of Dubai have the culinary

world in the palm of their hands.

Dubai is known for having some of the most amazing restaurants in the world.

Chefs want to set up shop here because of the amazing clientele and a population that

appreciates some of the finer ingredients in life.

These rich kids only enjoy the finest ingredients in their meals, and are dropping hundreds,

if not thousands on everything from appetizers and main dishes to drinks and desserts.

Dubai is known for being home to some of the most decadent desserts in the world, which

are usually served with tea.

One popular thing to do is to enjoy something sweet with tea on a rooftop.

What better way to look over and enjoy "your kingdom" than to tantalize your palette

and appetite while sitting high in the sky?

The rooftop thing is a favorite activity.

But if you're afraid of heights, then this might be a thing that you might prefer to

enjoy on the ground floor in a fancy state room.

When it comes to traveling, you really come to appreciate what you have when you don't

have a car to get around, or you can't afford a plane ticket to get across the country.

Even if you have a vehicle or take a bus, most of us are at the mercy of traffic patterns

and the rest of the city's population.

When you're a rich kid in Dubai, you never have to worry about traveling in coach ever

again.

There are times that even traveling in first class can feel like your style is being cramped.

That's why, when a Lamborghini or Ferrari won't do, it's no surprise that you'll

often find these kids using private jets and even helicopters to get across town.

Imagine looking at the traffic alert, seeing there were traffic jams, and asking your butler

to prepare the helicopter!

Imagine arriving at school in a helicopter!

At least you could avoid getting a tardy slip and tell your principle that you are so dedicated

to your studies that you'll do anything to get to school For these kids, access to

such things as helicopters and private planes is totally normal and just a part of life..

If only we all could be that lucky!

Speaking of school, the rich kids of Dubai don't get a free pass when it comes to putting

in the time and effort at school.

Because they live in a part of the world where education isn't accessible to everyone,

these rich kids really appreciate that they can even go to school.

Of course, with all the money at their disposal, they will often be seen in exclusive private

schools where they study among their fellow rich kids.

No public school here!

By attending these exclusive private schools, they have a better chance at going to college,

and even getting grandfathered into their parents' corporations.

Hence, the cycle of vast wealth continues.

Sure, it might be a bit unfair to have these rich kids automatically get a bump up in the

world because of who they are and who their family is, but…it's just a thing that

happens.

Some of these rich kids have parents who worked hard in life after coming from nothing - they

want to make sure that their kids have everything they need so they don't have to struggle

as much.

But with the social circle at school, you must have some toys to show off and to make

you look really popular…like cars!

If there is anything that brings all the rich kids together is their love for cars.

Sometimes it turns into a competition of who has the most expensive car.

Because most of the cars that are brought into Dubai have to be shipped overseas, there

are additional charges attached to them.

But these kids don't bat an eye at the price, and are more than willing to pay.

For real, some of these parents make so much money that a car with a 7-digit price tag

doesn't make them break a sweat.

Since these kids are driving, and it's all about presentation and social life, their

parents are willing to break out the credit cards and pay.

This is because what the kids are driving is a direct reflection on how much money their

parents are making.

Think of it as parental peer-pressure!

From Audi and BMW to Jaguar, Tesla and Mercedes, driving the most expensive cars is a must

for these rich kids in order to get socially accepted.

Plus, it's all about living the finest life you can!

Of course, the ability to purchase these prized cars, nice clothes and the ability to go to

the finest schools wouldn't happen without their family.

Whether it's because of rich parents, or their fortunes come from old money, family

is still a big deal for these rich kids.

They have to appear at family outings and functions as well as socialize with aunts,

uncles, cousins, in laws, you get the idea.

But when in a rich family, there comes incredible expectations for education, behavior, and

more.

Sure, they can get some of the most exotic animals for pets, and you can say that makes

them spoiled.

Because these rich kids are spending money that is technically not theirs, they still

have to behave a certain way and follow rather strict rules.

Gee, doesn't that sound like how most families function?

If anything, the stakes are higher when it comes to dealing with family because the fortune

could be taken away.

Unsurprisingly, this results in a lot of manipulation in families.

Of course, this doesn't apply to all families for these rich kids.

But considering there is a lot at stake for family drama and misbehavior, you can imagine

there's a lot of pressure to fall in line.

When you have an unlimited amount of money at your disposal thanks to your family, plus,

you have networking connections that stretch all over the world, you can bet that the rich

kids have traveled…a lot.

Between utilizing private jets and helicopters, private cars, etc. these kids have a much

easier way to travel that make the average person's traveling experience look like

a grueling headache.

Rich kids and their families can get access to some of the most amazing locations, private

resorts, and can explore certain parts of the world with little to no issue.

Family vacations are elevated to rock star status.

A trip to a Disney theme park means private tours, VIP access where you can get to the

front of the line, and exclusive privacy in accommodations.

In short, money talks, and it can create a lot of convenience for travel.

For us average joes, we have to wait in lines, sit in a cramped coach seat on the plane,

and try to find cheap eats to save some money.

For the rich kids of Dubai, money is a non-issue and they can fully experience vacations with

the world at their fingertips.

Perhaps one of the most famous rich kids of Dubai is Crown Prince, Hamdan bin Mohammed

Al Maktoum.

He has over 5.6 million followers on Instagram.

He's like a major celebrity who is known all over the world.

Al Maktoum has butlers, maids, helpers for his shopping, and he's always surrounded

by a team of people that are ready to serve his beck and call.

Also known as "Fazza", he is certainly royalty on social media and Instagram.

He doesn't hold anything back when it comes showing off his lavish lifestyle.

Sure, he's not an A-list Hollywood celebrity, but he is just as treasured.

Not only do rich kids, like him, have access to some of the most incredible shopping experiences

in the world, but their city is beautiful.

Dubai provides the perfect backdrop for amazing photoshoots that can make anyone look like

they're modeling for a major magazine - like Vogue or Harper's Bazaar.

Rich kids are definitely living the celebrity life.

In fact, they are likely living better lives than some of the most sought-after actors

and musicians in the world.

Most of these rich kids also have yachts of their own, where they can host social gatherings

and parties.

It's that extra touch that can make or break someone's social status!

Speaking of social status, there is no better way to elevate a rich kid's social status

than enjoying the nightlife!

For Dubai kids, even if they aren't old enough to consume adult beverages, they can

still enjoy VIP status with front of the line privileges, exclusive rooms to themselves,

and even private entertainment.

Of course, this all comes with a hefty price tag.

But, these nightclubs and restaurants also seek endorsements and free publicity from

these rich kids through to social media.

So, sometimes these kids will be treated to some amazing freebies that the average consumer

won't get to enjoy.

But it's all worth it when the kids give that place their five stars.

Then, their followers and fans will want to be just like their favorite rich kid and go

to the same place!

When you're a rich kid in Dubai, you've reached the equivalent of celebrity status

AND royalty.

Ah, the high life!

My Team for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon w/Monkiez! - Duration: 7:37.

So it's finally here, well, it was here about a week ago.

But Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon are finally out.

We're returning to the Alola region with new legendaries, new ultra beasts and an all

new expanded Pokedex.

With all these changes of course, comes a new team.

Now you could be that guy that uses the same team you used in Sun and Moon, or best team

or something but no, I'm different… and I never beat Sun and Moon either, I actually

didnt make it past aether paradise so I was going into these games as if it was my first

time ever playing in the Alola Region.

The games seemed to be relatively easy, and I was actually able to become the champion

this time so hey… thats cool.

For my team I had a two goals.

For one, I didn't want to make this an Alola Pokemon only Team as a lot of the new Alola

Pokemon are kinda boring in my opinion, and since they added all these Pokemon into the

dex, why not right?

My second goal for the team was to balance out the typings so my team wasn't specifically

weak to any single typing.

And of course I will be giving you my Team in the order in which I caught the Pokemon,

a lot of the Pokemon I used I caught early game so my team will be completed before I

finish the Second Island Grand Trial.

Well, with that being said, let's get started.

Much like every Pokemon journey, the player's journey begins with your first Pokemon the

starter, and for my starter I decided to go with Rowlet.

I decided to go with the nickname Hanzo since his final evolution is an archer and it just

sounds cool.

Now I understand Rowlet is probably the hardest starter to play the games with but I'm not

going for the best starter, what do I look like Eryizo?

But anyway, Rowlet the coolest of the bunch was my starter.

I really liked him due to him being the only of the three with a dual typing at the beginning

of the game being grass and flying.I also really liked his final evolutions unique Ghost/Grass

Typing, only three other Pokemon have that combination.

All in all, Deciueye is just a really cool Pokemon with a great typing and and a really

strong moveset.

So I finally made it to the first obstactle in the game, the Trainer School.

So I didn't really want to go into the trainer school with just Rowlet so I decided to catch

the first pokemon I ran into in the patch of grass next to the school, and low and behold

the first encounter was a Zorua.

After catching Zorua I went with the nickname Ana, because you know, she just looks like

an Ana.

Throughout a good portion of the games, Ana wasn't that much of a help but that was

until the Aether Paradise.

In the aether paradise so many trainers were using Psychic Type Pokemon, combined with

my newly evolved Zororark's speed, we got easy kills.

Ana also helped taking on the Mimikyu Trial and gave me easy KO's against the Gastlys,

Haunters and Gengars.

Her moveset wasn't really that great, but she was able to help me with a good portion

of the game which is what really counted.

So remember what I said about me wanting to be different?

Yeah…

I also had trouble facing Ilma's Smeargle MY GOD I HATED THAT THING.

But in order to resist it's normal type moves I decided to catch a magnemite.

I also really needed an electric type to help take on the upcoming araquanid trial, I knew

my rowlet would only be able to deal netural damage to it.

As my only options at the time were Pichu and Magnemite, I decided to go with Magnemite.

After carrying me through the water trial and taking a ton of hits from the Totem Lurantis

he finally evolved into an ever so strong magneton.

Magneton with his Super High special attack easily became the best member on my team.

He was able to take hits and deal massive amounts of damage.

At the Geothermal Power Plant he finally was able to evolve into a Magnezone, and he just

got stronger from there on after.

So before the first trial I had already caught 3 of my final 6 team members, and right after

I caught magnemite I ran into my fourth team member, Abra.

The story behind me catching him wasn't really that interesting.

I ran into Abra in the same place where I caught magnemite, and he just randomly appeared.

From past experiences with abra I knew he'd try to teleport away so immediately I threw

a ball at it, and what do you know I caught it first try, hell yeah.

I decided to go with the name Roshi for him as it was my go to name for Alakazam.

For a good portion of the games I had a Kadabra as nobody really wanted to trade with me to

evolve it.

He had a pretty mediocre moveset with confusion, disable, recover and kensis.

I was finally able to get the ™ for psychic and after evolving it into an Alakazam he

was one shotting poison and fighting types all over the place.

At this point in the game I was at the Lurantis trial, and I kept losing and losing and losing.

No matter how many hits magneton would tank her solar blade and the fire type moves used

by her Ally pokemon always ended up killing me.

I decided to go back to Wela Volcano Park and catch a cubone, and I named him rightfully

after the Fire Trial Captain, Kiawe.

getting Kiawe to evolve into a marowak was a pain.

To evolve him into a marowak I had to have him at level 28 at night, and being that my

Cubone was only at level 16 when I caught him, it took a lot of grinding.

After finally evolving him into the Alolan Marowak, my prayers were answered, I finally

had a counter to the totem lurantis… eeeeeexcept for when her ally Kecleon used ancient Power,

that just 2 shot him.

Marowak went on to being one of my least used Team Members and that kinda saddens me as

alolan marowaks concept was super cool.

His movepool was just extremely shallow and he was super slow, he couldn't live long

enough to kill anything.

For my final Pokemon I wanted to use something strong, but out of the ordinary.

I noticed that not a lot of people were using this Pokemon, so I wanted to show him some

love.

My last Pokemon on the team is Mudsdale.

I caught Mudsdale as a Mudbray in Paniola Ranch, and I named him Calvin after… a good

friend of mine…

Calvin who started out as one of my weakest, easily killed Team members, slowly grew to

my strongest, bulkiest team member.

Mudsdale was kind of a diamond in the ruff for me.

His ability was Stamina, which boosted his defense after being hit with an attack.

This was extremely useful as it was hard for opponents to ko him as his defense would just

keep going higher and higher.

This ability paired with his base 125 attack and his base 100 HP make him a tank, one of

the best tanks in the game.

He was easily able to sweep through the electric trial, and helped me through the all of the

Po Town events as he was able to take many hits and dish out lots of damage at the same

time.

So thats was my team that I used in Pokemon Ultra sun and Ultra Moon that is going to

be it for today's video I hope you guys did enjoy, if you did make sure you leave

a like, comment and subscribe if youre new, and let me know in the comments what team

you used in your playthrough of the games.

Well with that being said I'll see you guys later, peace.
