Former Interim Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee Donna Brazile has had an

interesting week.

First, she released an excerpt of her new book: Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-Ins

and Breadowns that Put Donald Trump in the White House to Politico, blasting the Hillary

Clinton campaign for putting a financial stranglehold on the DNC that all but ensured her primary

victory as early as 2015.

This news set off an explosion of Democratic infighting that exposed the deep fissures

between moderates and progressives within the party.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) and Senator Elizabeth Warren each came out stating they thought

the DNC primary was slanted against Hillary's only serious primary challenger Bernie Sanders.

Make no mistake, however, Brazile isn't any kind of hero- this is the same woman who

was accused of and openly admitted to leaking debate questions to Hillary Clinton during

her race against now-president Trump.

Brazile just proved her lack of moral fiber again in an interview on ABC's "This Week,"

talking about her DNC-shattering claims.

She started off by bizarrely stating that she found "no evidence, none whatsoever"

that the Democratic primaries were rigged, directly contradicting her own book that stated

the DNC was "rigging the system" in favor of Clinton.

But then it gets even weirder.

Brazile proved how out of touch and insensitive the Democrats really are with this bizarre

statement about getting hacked during the election:

"This was worse than Hurricane Katrina in terms of the emotional toll."

Wow.

Just wow.

Can you imagine if a Republican said something like that?

Brazile literally said that John Podesta's email leaks were more emotionally taxing than

a humanitarian crisis that led to the deaths

of 1,833 people.

Totally insane.

Hi. This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV.

I'm going to show you how to quickly create the look of woodcut portraits from photos.

This is an update of tutorials I've in the past.

This version is quicker and more flexible.

I provided this wood texture that you can download, so you can follow along.

Its link is in my video's description or project files below.

You can find hundreds of fantastic, high-resolution wood textures at Storyblocks.com.

Open a photo of someone or some thing that you'd like to use for this project.

I downloaded this photo and the other again, from Storyblocks.

The first step is to make a selection around our subject, so we can separate it from its background.

For this example, I'll make a selection just around his face,

since that's what I'd like the portrait to be.

I'll zoom into his face by pressing the "z" key on my keyboard to open the Zoom Tool and

drag it over the face.

I'll open the Quick Selection Tool to make the selection.

If you're using this tool, as well, drag it over your subject's head to select it.

If you want to remove areas outside your subject, press Alt or Option as you drag over those areas.

To check the selection, press "Q" to make it into a quick mask.

Press "Q" again to revert it back into a selection.

Press Ctrl or Cmd + J to cut it out and copy it.

To place your subject onto the wood texture, press "v" to open your Move Tool and drag

your subject onto the tab of the wood texture.

Without releasing your mouse or pen, drag it down and release.

Drag it to the middle.

To resize it, open your Transform Tool by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + T. If you don't see

the Transform's entire bounding box, press Ctrl or Cmd + 0.

Go to a corner and when you see a diagonal, double-arrow,

press and hold Alt or Option + Shift as you drag it in or out.

To re-position it, go inside the bounding box and drag it.

Then, press Enter or Return.

Click the Adjustment layer icon and click "Black White".

Presently, the Adjustment layer is affecting all the layers below it, however, we want

to restrict it to just our subject.

To do this, either click the Clipping Mask icon or press Ctrl + Alt + G on Windows or

Cmd + Option + G on a Mac.

We'll convert our black and white subject into a Smart Object, so we can continue to

add filters to it non-destructively and be able to adjust those filters at any time.

To do this, Shift-click our subject to make it active, as well, and click the icon at the upper, right.

Click "Convert to Smart Object".

Go to Filter and Filter Gallery.

Open the "Sketch" folder and click "Photocopy".

Make the Detail: 11 and the Darkness:46.

Go to Select and "Color Range".

Choose "Shadows".

Make the Fuzziness: 0% and the Range: 90.

Click the Layer Mask icon to make a layer mask of the selection next to your subject.

If you want to remove unwanted spots on your subject, first, we'll invert our foreground

and background colors by press "x" on our keyboard.

Now, black is our foreground color.

Open your Pencil Tool and Pencil Picker.

We'll adjust the size in a moment.

Make the Hardness and Opacity, both: 100%.

To adjust your the Size of your Pencil, first, make sure your CapLock key is off

and then, press the left or right Bracket key on your keyboard.

Brush over the unwanted spots to mask them out.

Change the Blend Mode to Soft Light.

Click the "fx" icon and click "Bevel Emboss".

The Style is Inner Bevel, the Technique is Smooth

and the Depth is 100%.

The Direction is Down and the Size: 4 pixels.

The Angle is 120 degrees and the Altitude is 30 degrees.

The Highlight Mode is Linear Dodge, the color is white and the Opacity is 35%.

The Shadow Mode is Linear Burn, the color is black and its opacity is also 35%.

To make our portrait easier to see, make a copy of the layer and reduce its opacity to 30%.

Lastly, we'll increase the overall contrast of our woodcut.

Click the Adjustment layer icon and click Levels.

In the Input Shadow field, type in 26 and in the Input Highlight field, type in 242.

Travel Professor explores Religious Tourism - Duration: 8:46.

Religious tourism, sometimes referred to as spiritual tourism or faith tourism, is

the type of tourism where people travel individually or in groups for pilgrimage or

missionary purposes. The visit often is to a religious or a holy site. Tourism

has two components to this. One is spiritual and the other is leisure.

And religious tourism has become big business. There's lots of dollars in it.

We can see here in Corfu there is the sale of iconography art as tourist souvenirs

so you can come, see the church and buy the merchandise.

In this video, I show a few of the religious sites and practices I have undertaken including churches in

Corfu, Greece and Munich, Germany and temples in Kunming, China. I released some

birds in Cambodia for good luck and I also have a Chinese fortune teller

interpret my Chinese fortune sticks or Kau Chim.

One of the things about religious tourism is getting the right balance. So for some, it's a tourist

attraction - many many tourists going through as a spectacle, but for other people it's a sacred

place of worship where they come to meet or speak with their God or just to have

some inner peace. But getting that balance, it can be quite tricky for churches and

temples and mosques. The revenues that tourists may pay on entrance, of course,

goes to some of the upkeep and maintenance costs but

at the trade-off of having people troupe through the place of worship.

So in almost every society we have this quest for the meaning of life and even here, I'm in

Phnom Penh Cambodia, and by the riverside, by the Mekong, we can see people such as

here, trying to read fortunes, predict luck, some card game and incense so this

there's a fair few along here, presumably interpreting people's fortunes and

giving them some sort of enlightenment or hope for the future.

Some birds. I'm not sure the purpose of them.

OK, so I found out that the birds are for good luck, or Happy New Year, something like this. Someone purchases them and you let them free and

then you get some good luck. So again this is related to some spirituality or some ideas like this.

Ok, so I'm going to get some good luck. I've just got

two little sparrows for $1 and hopefully

the best luck I'm going to get is that they don't shit on

me. Alright. Muy (One), Pi (Two), Bey (Three)

Something that tourists find interesting in China

with respect to religious tourism is the Taoist temples.

Behind me is Miaozan Temple, which is a combination of different halls

depicting the Gods and in

front there's also these two towers, the twin towers of Miaozan Temple.

Here and here.

So but, so tourists like to come and look at different gods and see how Taoism is

played out.

Ok. Look at this style.

What are you thinking? Thai? Right? Well, actually this temple was

newly built as a gift from the King of Thailand. Inside is a statue of Sakyamuni.

I'm here in Kunming, Yuantong Temple. It's the largest Buddhist temple in Kunming. It's

been here for over at 1,000 years. It brings up a very interesting point about

religious tourism or pilgrimage. Sometimes it's called historical tourism.

It's related to obviously to the history. You can think of going to the Hajj,

one of the five pillars of Islam, having to go to see Mecca once, once in the life

but there's many other pilgrimages also, from different religions. Like I said, I'm

here in Yuantong in Kunming in the province of Yunnan, China. Behind me are the

temple gates it's a beautiful architecture.

In the centre of the temple is a large square pool and behind that is an octagonal

pavilion and you can see the criss-crossing of the paths leading to...

The architecture very cool.

Yuantong temple was first built in the late 8th and the early 9th century

in the Tang Dynasty but the current design was from the Qing dynasty.

Many of the temples in China follow a Feng Shui design. Feng Shui, literally, wind-

water in English, is the Chinese philosophical system of harmonizing

everyone with the surrounding environment.

So I've just come out of Yuantong temple and I see a Chinese fortune

teller so, of course, I have to stop and have my fortune told. I had to grab a

passerby whose English was pretty good to be a translator because the fortune

teller couldn't speak English, I can't speak Mandarin.

So I told him my date of birth and my birth year and believe it or not he

interpreted it in his little book there and he said that I am handsome. Now he

also should have said I am gullible as well because I totally believed him.

I was half expecting him to say, Confucius say "Man who runs behind car

gets exhausted" or Confucius say "Man who runs in front of car gets tired" but

there was no such joke.

He also said that I think I make good decisions but they turn out not to be so

such great decisions and my family truly believed that when I said that I was

taking a family holiday to Kunming.

Not content with just having my fortune told off my date of birth, I thought I'll have

a go at the Kau Chim. The Kau Chim, for those that are unaware, is where you

shake the bamboo pot or Chim Tong and three bamboo sticks come out. On

those three bamboo sticks, are written a number and those numbers relate to some

Chinese poetry or verse which the interpreter then looks up and interprets

for you.

Those sticks are sometimes called Chinese fortune sticks or Chi Chi sticks

when translated into English. The practice dates back to the Jin

Dynasty in about the 3rd century AD

Sometimes called "lottery poetry", it's very common in many Taoists temples so

now you know. When you see it around - Kau Chim.

Back when I was more able I'd run around this area.

Ever since then I haven't really been able to, but I KNOW there are javelinas in this

area and am I asking for too much just to see one?

I started working with borrowed energy halfway through this walk, so now I'm just sitting here.

Taking a break before I head back to the apartment!

I took that walk.

It's beautiful today.

I felt not-great before, but I know that my time walking or my time being able to be a

little more mobile is probably coming to an end, logically, so, uh

I know I would be regretful later if I didn't spend days like this where I even have a little

bit of energy at least doing the little that you saw.

But I'm really proud of what I did.

I'm really happy about that.

I have depleted a lot of my energy but there is one thing I need to talk about.

We have reached goal for my EzLiteCruiser so we're going to be ordering that the second

the money clears and everything works out.

Annie said it might take about a month to deliver, so, as soon as possible is gonna

be best.

When you order they offer a free gift, and I was gonna get the headrest because very

often my neck isn't able to comfortably hold me up if I'm flaring or whatever.

And I specifically wanted the Slim Deluxe version of the wheelchair I'm getting because

it has a reclining option.

So, without that headrest I wouldn't really be able to use the reclining option as well,

so seeing as they had taken the headrest off as a possible "free item" upon ordering, really

made me sad.

Randy actually contacted EzLiteCruiser last night and they said that they're just gonna

put one in with my order anyway!

So that's really great!

That's really great.

Last Jedi Rain Scene & Rey's Force Vision Theory (Possible Spoilers) - Duration: 3:44.

Rey's force vision is one of the most perplexing scenes from the Force Awakens

and the rain scene in particular is quite intriguing. In this video I'm going

to break this scene down as much as possible and throw my speculations in.

There may be potential spoilers in this video for The Last Jedi. Let's start with

the script from the movie, it says: We push in on Rey as rain begins and day

turns to night as she looks up we tilt up to see we're looking up at a warrior

he is stabbed by a fiery lightsaber he screams and falls to the ground. We

follow him revealing Rey again now in a nighttime battlefield. She gets to her

feet frightened by what she sees. We pivot around her to reveal Kylo Ren and

the six other Knights of Ren who flank him. At first glance this appears to be

one continuous scene but I think it is actually two separate scenes. The warrior

attacking Rey I believe may be in the future. Kylo Ren steps in from behind to

stop this attack. Take note here that Kylo Ren is wearing his robes and has

the cloak over his helmet. When the warrior falls to the ground and Rey

begins to stand up the scene has switched to what I believe is the past.

Kylo Ren and the six Knights of Ren are standing in a battle field, notice he's

wearing his helmet uncloaked and he begins to walk forward but he's not

actually walking directly towards Rey he's going to walk past her.

I think the force is showing her a glimpse of this battlefield through the

lightsaber just like the other scenes with Luke and R2D2. Could the warrior

scene be someone who was sent to kill Rey or Luke and Kylo Ren shows up

stopping the attack? In the new teaser trailer from the Last Jedi Rey is in the

rain with her lightsaber I noticed something else look closely at this clip.

Do you see the red light reflecting in the scene? That appears to be the light from

Kylo Ren's lightsaber and the scene is being played in reverse. This is the

scene played in the correct way. Could this scene be her vision? Rey is looking

downwards at someone or something on the ground then she lowers her lightsaber

and looks up at someone else. The person who was standing in front of her is

actually Kylo Ren. I think the vision is somewhat prophetic like her vision in

the snowy forest we see Rey running into Kylo Ren with his lightsaber. In the

future we know that happens at the end of the Force Awakens but he wasn't

wearing his helmet in those scenes and she didn't run into him in this exact

way, but the vision is revealing to her that they will have an encounter in the

future. I also think Kylo Ren has had similar visions. I wonder if he saw Rey

wielding his grandfather's lightsaber in a vision of his own and that is why

he says in the force awakens novel "It is you." He also shows a very keen interest

in the girl before he meets her face-to-face. What do you think of these

scenes? I hope we will have some answers from the visions in the Last Jedi.

Speculation surrounding Mourinhos future has been rife in recent weeks. The 54-year-old has been linked with a move to PSG and has admitted he does not believe he will finish his career at Old Trafford.

But according to The Mirror, the Portuguese boss believes he deserves a rise on his £12m-a-year salary. His representative, super-agent Jorge Mendes has New Year talks planned with vice chairman Ed Woodward.

Uniteds finances are healthy under Mourinhos stewardship. After winning the Europa League, League Cup and Community Shield last season, the boss has enjoyed a strong start to his time in Manchester.

But if I told you that's not as simple as you think, how are you impressed?

Let me show you some curiosities about Google! Nowadays, Google has not a testing organization.

They have a concept of test called "Engineering Productivity" where exists within a "Focus area"

(That's how Google calls its software products). Eng Prod is made of:

a "Product Team", a "Service Team" and "Embedded Engineers".

A "Product Team" that builds and maintains code analyzers, IDEs, test case management systems

code review schedulers, bug databases...

The idea is to make the tools more productive. A "Service Team" that provides

expertise to Google product teams, including tools, documentation,

testing, release management... They try to resolve product-specific functional issues that Google

product teams might face. And "Embedded Engineers" that test a software on a device during a specific time.

Some of these engineers might be with the same product teams for years, other test

through teams wherever they are needed most. Google encourages all its engineers to change product teams often

to stay fresh, engaged and objective. They try to make

the experience of a engineer the best way possible. So, this means that testers

reports to Eng Prod managers,

Identifying themselves with a product team, like "Search", "Gmail", or "Chrome".

They are part of both teams and works really together.

It provides a forum for testers to share information.

Good testing ideas migrate easily within Eng Prod giving all tester,

accessing to the best technology

within the company. Yes, that's right! The job of the tester is to enable developers to test. This strategy puts

developers and testers on equal footing. The better they would be tests, the better the product would be.

Good job for developers! The thing is:

A developer can't test the product! Google's answer to resolve this is to split the role.

They solve the problem by having some types of testing roles at Google to solve very different

testing problems. The "Software Engineer". They create design documentation, design data structures and overall

architectures and spend time writing and reviewing code, including test driven design,

unit test and participate on the construction of small, medium and large

tests. The "Software Engineering in Test". They review designs and look closely at code quality and risk.

They refactor code to make it more testable. They are more concerned with increasing quality and

test coverage than add new features or

increasing performance. In other words, the "Software Engineer in Test" write code that allows

"Software Engineer" to test their features. The "Test Engineer" is the exact reverse of the "Software Engineer in Test". They put

testing first and development second. Many Google "Test Engineers" spend a good deal of their time

writing code in the form of automation

scripts and code that drives usage scenarios and even mimics a user. They also organize the testing work of

the "Software Engineer and "Software Engineer in Test", interpreting test results and drive test execution.

Ok, but the big question is: What about the user? User focused testing is the job of the Google

"Test Engineer". The next task is to understand how the features works together

to satisfy the needs of the user. For Google the quality of its

products is very important. So, next question we can ask ourselves:

How does one decide if what you built is high quality without testing it? The thing is: "Quality is not

equal to test". The solution is to do that testing and development go hand in hand. In development, it's

tested and codified together. The goal is to merge development and testing so that you can't do one without the other.

Build a little and then test it!

Build some more and test so more! "Quality is a development issue, not a testing issue".

Are a Badass at Making Money!" First of all, this chick -- what's her name? -- Jen Sincerro --

She's speaking my language because I'm a badass. I don't know about you. You

know, badasses tend to know each other. But, I love this -- at making money -- and the

whole deal is she's addressing the idea of mindset in this book. I just started

reading it. I'm into a couple of chapters and it's awesome. This chick talks or she

writes like I would imagine she sounds, kind of like I do and so I am loving

this. It's a great read. I recommend it to anybody and a lot of the principles

really relate to a practice that I do which is NLP and that is neuro

linguistic programming. You can find out more about that if you're interested.
