Youtube daily report w Nov 1 2017

I'm here to talk about Stranger Things

Before to talk about the series I'm going to talk about the Amino application, which is an application well

interesting, community, chat, chat ...

It is interesting because it explores various pop culture communities.

Look here, there are new things, there are movies and TV, video games, anime, arts, what not

missing here, from what I understand, are options of cool things, looks, comics, style

of life, books ...

And obviously I created a community for the Grumpy Nerd, here in Amino, whoever

access is just looking for the Nerd community I'm probably going to put the

link in the description of the video, and just enter.

You can put public chats, panels, shared folders, you can do a lot

of cool things.

But I'm here to talk about Stranger Things, and have a community of Stranger Things

very cool, full of information, full of legal stuff.

Look, it has the tools, it has the spoilers, it has the news, you can search the name

of actors, characters, monsters, places, can do a lot of cool things here

in this Stranger Things community.

And inside this community I created a chat to talk about the easter eggs of Stranger Things 2,

already have a little guy here, and the most cool, you can talk live, let's talk

with people, let's see who is available here to talk to me in this

live chat

The Velma is already appearing, the Velma has already entered, hi Velma, everything good, you always come

this way?

Hi, how are you?

Look, there's Luca, there's Everton ...

I'm going to talk to these people tomorrow, live at nine o'clock at night on day two

November, 9 pm, in this chat.

This chat is open to everyone, then to appear, to talk about Stranger Things,

easter eggs, curiosities, these things, episode by episode, I'll thrash every

episode because I'll be talking to you for an hour.

The links are in the description of this video, it's just you click and participate ...

This is it, people, you want to send a hi to anyone who is listening to you

Hello!

Participate, which is very cool.

Hi guys, join in.

That's it, so let's talk about Stranger Things tomorrow, a hug for everyone,

Thank you, this is it, I went!

And stay with the spoiler video of Stranger Things.

UHUL!!!

If you're here, you've already watched the entire second season of Stranger Things

and you're not worried about receiving SPOILERS.

And surely you have also watched the previous video of the channel, where I talk about

Stranger Things without giving a spoiler, and knows I liked the second season, but

I found it weaker than the first.

So let's now turn to the analysis of Stranger Things 2 with spoilers:

The first season was a success, even bigger than the brothers Duffer, the creators

and series directors could imagine.

And they needed to continue the mythology created in the first season, since history

had a very satisfying ending and really left open ends.

But it seems that their creative limit has been reached.

First they had the obvious idea that they had to do everything bigger, more scary and more

dark, that Jurassic Park thing, but I do not think I needed it.

What the audience loved were not the monsters or the world reversed, the audience loved the characters,

the story of each of them, teenage behavior in an environment of the 1980s.

Perhaps the brothers thought the characters were already developed enough, and

neglected that side and worried more about offering a bigger monster.

They separated the characters into groups, each character went to one side, and this

weakened the whole.

The main arc is about how Will has a connection with the inverted world, and then

of a bad advice from Bob, a new character that only serves to give that bad

advice, Will finds himself controlled by the monster, until the end of the season.

The boys' group no longer has the same unit as before.

They no longer play together, they barely talk.

With the introduction of the redhead Max, everything seems even more divided.

On the one hand Dustin and Lucas interested in discovering who the girl is, the other Mike

and Will, a sad one because of Eleven, another still with one foot in the inverted world.

Dustin is the only character who seems to have evolved the right way.

He never ceases to be a brat suitcase, in pursuit of knowledge, who errs like any

adolescent

Meanwhile the others were boring.

So annoying that Lucas's little sister is much more interesting than him.

Max, the redhead girl, is sort of thrown into the mess and does not do anything very important

the whole season.

She's there, always with a curious face, but that's it.

Her brother, Billy, is a character who was stuck in the plot to fill the role

Steve, who was the bad teenager of the city, but who was nice at the end of the first

season.

Billy is very the bad guy, but in the background the only thing he does is stuff the bag

Steve and Max.

I want to see what they're going to do with Steve's character, now that he's nice and not

You have more girlfriend, while he's going to face monsters his girlfriend is with another guy.

Poor Steve.

For a character who had a gigantic development in the first season, this second

it was thrown to demondogs.

Worse, he was so without having to do in the series that at some point decided

that he would do double with Dustin, who was also alone.

The two best characters this season.

Winona Ryder remains well in the role of mother worried about her son since the first season

is what she does, in this she still gets a little harder, especially in the episodes

final results.

Sheriff Hopper also continues in a role similar to that of the first season, but

here he has a bow with the Eleven that is interesting, the duel of interpretation between David Harbor

and Millie Bobby Brown delivers some of the best moments of the season but are completely

history.

The Eleven arc is completely independent of the main plot, is even independent

the plot of the first season.

She's living apart from everything in a cabin, only the sheriff knows she's

alive.

She has been practically an isolated year in this cabin, tranquilinha, until she discovers

a lot of secret and extremely secret information stored in the sheriff's hut - all

the information she needed was under her nose all the time.

Then she picks up the road in search of her mother, finds, then leaves for Chicago in search of another

girl who was stuck with her and also has powers, turns to Punk, stares at butterflies

that do not exist while the world ends in Hawkins, has five minutes and decides to leave

all and return to Hawkins.

This arc of the search for the truth of Eleven was clearly lost and practically unnecessary.

Is bad.

Does not explain how she gained her powers and makes it clear that the writers did not know

what to do with the character.

Have decided to leave out all the charisma won by her in the first season on a journey

basically useless, nothing she found on the trip did anything for her.

She found her mother but left her mother behind, found another girl with powers

and stay on it.

Eleven Punk.

Why an Eleven punk?

The seventh episode of Season 2 is the least Stranger Things episode ever.

But it might be the best X-Men movie ever.

It seems the guys had the brilliant idea of only using the impact of Eleven

in the end to save the day, like a good old cliché Deus Ex Machina, only that

did not generate the expected impact.

In fact, the solutions to the problems of this season are the least creative possible.

To overcome the monsters, what about the collective formula of the collective conscience, that

in which you just have to beat the main monster so the entire beehive will undo itself?

Oh, there's the arc where Nancy and Jonathan decide to tell the truth about Barbara's death,

and it is another weak and unnecessary bow.

Barb was a character who passed by the series and received a warmth from the audience,

but making a whole bow about it seems a stupid way to make the viewer look

to the other side.

Creativity was not the strong this season.

While the first one had the phone on the wall to communicate with Will,

had a hand-drawn map that even filled the spaces in the house, but did not.

had half the charm of the phone lights.

The monsters in computer graphics work, but they completely disagree with the premise of being

a series of the 1980s.

Why the hell did not they make dolls, rubber characters, practical special effects?

It would be much more honest with the context, it would be much cooler.

My conclusion is: Stranger Things 2 was cool, continued in the setting of the years

80, but the bad text diluted the strength of the main and most important element:

the unity of the brats.

Okay, the first season happened strange, they are not the same,

but it seems that only Lucas and Dustin keep the friendship ...

Eleven, Jonathan and Nancy are completely set aside

because the writers did not know the

what to do with them.

Steve was even worse off after finishing his dating with Nancy to continue

in the plot, became Dustin's helper.

Can you define the main character?

I'd bet on Sheriff Hopper.

He's the guy who holds the time all over, more than anything else.

And the end was still Eleven's father.

Oh, finally the government building has been closed, so I hope this takes the third

Season the sameness and make up some new strange things to see.

I'm tired of demongorgons.

That it has less of inverted world and more of

Although I'm sure that demondog in Will's refrigerator will be the bug that goes

wake up and reopen the portal, and start all over again.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT TO SEE AGAIN IN THE THIRD SEASON OF STRANGER THINGS?

Leave your reply in the comments and do not forget to sign up for more videos

of the Grumpy Nerd.

If you do not agree with the content of this video, okay, you're not my enemy, you

just have a different opinion.

And this is very important.

Everyone likes Stranger Things,

or everyone complains about Stranger Things,

Just do not let the discussion about it get toxic

and too heavy.

Series and movies may be the least important thing among the most important

world.

Is it really worth getting upset about?

A Closer Look At The First 'Alien' Asteroid "A/2017 U1" Passing Earth - Duration: 3:48.

Hi, I'm Heathcliff and this is Lions Ground.

I hope you have a fantastic day.

Liverpool John Moores University has detected a passing flying asteroid using the telescope

in the Canary Islands, actually it already passed Earth, the asteroid was first discovered

on October 18th with the PAN-STARRS telescope or the Haleakala Observatory in Hawaii, the

piece of stone swung past our sun and passed us around 26 October at a speed of 91.8 km

/ h or 57 miles per hour.

Where does this come from?

Researchers suspect that the asteroid came from the star Vega, the brightest star in

the constellation of Lyra.

Derived from Lyre, yep, referred to in the 1825 star map at the bottom as a music instrument

(based around the character of Orpheus, a famed musician with such extraordinary talent).

Lyra is visible in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

Northern hemisphere the constellation can be seen from April to December.

Southern hemisphere Lyra can be viewed low on the northern horizon in the winter months.

If the asteroid is from Lyra it is not certain because it is extremely difficult to tell

where an asteroid comes from, in this situation.

The official name is A / 2017 U1, and it's not a cliché gray giant stone but, in fact,

NASA astronomer Joseph Masiero says is actually red.

Comets fall into two categories, namely the periodic comets that fly on a regular basis

along the sun (like Halley comet) and comets that do hundreds or thousands of millions

of years around a the sun.

In addition, astronomers look at the eccentricity of the circuit.

That is the extent to which an orbit differs from a circle.

A circular circuit that is exactly circular has an eccentricity of 0.

A circular path with an eccentricity of 1 is a parabola.

Halley has an eccentricity of 0.967 and is thus located between a circle and a parabola.

However, the orbit of C / 2017 U1 has an eccentricity of 1.2, making it a hyperbola.

This means that the object comes from outside the solar system.

For more info about this discover.

Follow the link in the video description or click the label in the top right corner.

Thank you for watching.

I'll see in the next video.

Ember House 3.0 - Duration: 6:25.

Hello, I'm Ed Smith with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and the Living

With Fire Program.

I'm here today to talk about the Ember House 3.0 tutorial.

In this tutorial we're going to discuss how to properly assemble, dismantle and transport

the Ember House.

To access the Ember House, open the cover by releasing the buckles and untying the strings.

Next, untie the brace, remove the foam and the red towel which includes the roof section.

Within the extra parts container found within the garbage can, use the wrench and screwdriver

to secure the bottom and top of the brace.

Using the side handles, lift the Ember House into the upright position.

Use both sand bags on the brace to ensure stability of the structure.

To secure the roof, unscrew the four wingnuts, washers and bolts and remove the roof section

from the red towel cover.

On the underside the roof, notice the bracket diagram and "front" and "back" indicators

Line up the roof with the brackets on the structure.

Re-insert the the bolts, washers and wingnuts.

Notice the brown bolts and washers are placed on the brown section of the roof, orange bolts

and washers are placed on the orange section of the roof.

Within the garbage can, accessories include: an ornamental juniper, wood mulch boards,

rain gutters, a window box, the extra parts box, bean bag embers, a miscellaneous bag

of items, and a wood pile.

Place the wood mulch at the base of the structure.

Set the ornamental juniper between the mulch boards.

Next place the garbage can to the left of the house.

Ensure the garbage can lid is upside down with the glued newspapers facing up.

Secure the window box to the house using the attached Velcro.

With the word "back" on the rain gutters facing the rear of the house, attach the gutters

to the roof with the Velcro and secure it using the provided clips.

Finally, place the wood pile to the right of the house.

The Ember House is now ready for use!

To disassemble the Ember House, start by removing the rain gutters then unbolt and remove the

roof.

Return the bolts, washers and wingnuts to the roof brackets.

Ensure the gable end of the house is placed on the designated spot on the cover.

Using the screw driver and wrench, loosen the upper and lower brace bolts.

Insert the roof into the red towel cover and place it on the pre-designated spot on the

back of the house.

Set the foam over the roof and move the brace over the pre-designated section in the foam.

Secure the brace using the orange tie.

Following the numbered flaps on the carrying case and starting with the first flap, fit

the brackets through the holes of the cover.

Next, fold the flap labeled with the number 2 and secure flaps 1 and 2 with the buckle.

Next fold flaps 3 then 4, pull the handles through the case, tie the strings and secure

the buckles.

The items in the garbage can must be specifically arranged to properly fit.

First place the wood pile at the bottom of the can and add the extra parts case to the

center of the pile.

Next place the window box on one side of the garbage can with the dried flowers near the

top of the can and set the rain gutters on either side of the window box.

Then place the two wood mulch boards on the other side of the wood pile and the juniper

plant in the center.

Add the bean bag embers and miscellaneous bags in the garbage can and set the "Be

Ember Aware" Publication and diagram on top.

Use the handy diagram for assistance while packing the accessories.

The Ember House should be transported behind the front seat of an extended cab truck or

within an SUV.

If transported in the bed of a truck, place face down with the brackets facing up.

Please do not place any items on top of the Ember House.

To prevent heat damage to the front face of the Ember House, please don't store in a

hot, enclosed area for long periods of time.

For information on how you can borrow the Ember House, contact Jamie Roice-Gomes at

the following phone number or e-mail address and while you're talking to Jamie, ask her

for a copy of, "Be Ember Aware".

This publication tells you more about the ember threat to your home and what you can

do about it.

Thank you for watching.

Position, Displacement, and Distance - Nerdstudy Physics - Duration: 12:53.

Today, we'll learn about some fundamental concepts in physics.

See, one of the most important functions of physics is to describe how things move.

But in order to do that, we have to be able to describe where things are.

So, in this video we'll be exploring position, displacement, and distance.

If we want tell someone where the cookie jar is, it's not very helpful to say "Oh,

it's four meters to the left" if they don't know where we are and what we mean

by "left".

So the first thing we need to do is agree on a reference frame.

To do that, we need to choose a reference point as well as coordinate axes.

We call that reference point the origin, since it'll be the origin of our coordinate axes.

Alright, let's go ahead and choose one now.

In a 1-dimensional space, it's simple to define coordinate axes, because we need only

one.

And look, now we can talk about left and right.

We can also do this in 2D space.

Let's add an extra axis, like so, and now we've got up and down as well.

And in 3D, we would need a third axis, like so, and now we've got front and back.

Now that we've got a reference frame, it does make sense to say "Oh, it's four

meters to the left".

And that brings us to the most obvious thing we can do with a reference frame: describing

the positions of things!

So, let's take a look at an example.

Here is a 1-dimensional reference frame.

If I tell you that a particle is four meters to the left of the origin, you now know exactly

where it is: right there.

I want you to notice something though.

I had to give you two pieces of information in order to specify the position of the particle.

I had to say that it's four meters away from the origin, and that it's to the left

of the origin.

In other words, I had to tell you its distance as well as its direction relative to the origin.

Those two quantities, distance and direction, together specify the position.

Here's a good time to make a brief side trip into mathematics.

A mathematical quantity that's described by a magnitude and a direction is called a

vector.

Vectors are kind of like arrows: they have a certain size or length, and they point in

a certain direction.

If this concept isn't familiar to you, then we suggest that you watch our lesson on "Introduction

to Vectors", for more context to this lesson.

So what's this got to do with the position of a particle?

Well, when specifying the position of something, we need to mention how far it is, AKA the

distance, which is a magnitude, and the direction it's pointed in.

So since position consists of both the properties required to describe a vector, we can say

that position is a vector!

Now you're probably wondering: couldn't we choose to represent left with negative

numbers and right with positive numbers?

Of course we could.

Then the particle we mentioned before would be at position negative 4 meters.

In two dimensions, though, direction is not so easily specified.

For example, here's a particle located 1 meter south and 2 meters east of the origin.

We can't represent the direction by a single sign in this case.

But what we could do is declare that north and east are positive, and that south and

west are negative.

Then we could represent the position as a list of numbers: (2,-1).

In fact, this list of numbers is just the coordinates of a point on a plot.

Great!

So now we know how to talk about the position of things relative to the origin.

Now, what if an object moves?

That brings us to the concept of displacement.

Let's take a look at an example here.

A particle, initially located at negative 3 meters, moves to a new position at positive

4 meters.

We can ask, what's the final position of the particle relative to its initial position?

That's easy: it's 7 meters to the right of the position it started at.

It's easy to see this, but we can calculate it too.

Simply take the final position and subtract it by the initial position to give us 7 in

this example.

So, that gives us the displacement of 7 meters to the right.

Now, one thing we need to remember about displacement is that it doesn't matter how the particle

moves from one position to another.

We're only concerned with where it started, where it ended up, and the relative positions

of the two.

Here's another way to think about displacement.

It's simply the final position of the particle when we move the origin to its initial position.

So if we move the origin 3 meters to the left, we find that the final position of the particle

is 7 meters to the right of the new origin.

Good!

Now, let's go ahead and look at a 2D example.

Here's a particle that's 1 meter north and 3 meters west of the origin.

Its coordinates are (-3,1).

It moves to a new position: (5,-2).

What's its final position relative to its initial position?

It seems complicated, but let's break it down.

In the east-west direction, the particle starts at negative 3 meters and ends at positive

5 meters.

Again, like we mentioned, we can find the displacement of this by taking the final position

and subtracting it by the initial position.

5 minus (negative 3) equals 8: that's a displacement of 8 meters east.

Good.

And if we bring back the original graph and now focus only on the north-south direction,

we can do the same thing to get the displacement in this direction.

In this case, the particle starts at positive 1 and ends at negative 2.

So, subtracting the final position by the initial position, we have negative 2 minus

1 which equals to negative 3 and thus, it's been displaced 3 meters south.

Therefore, the total displacement is 3 meters south and 8 meters east.

Great!

So looking back to the original graph again, we could have derived the same idea by shifting

the origin to (-3, 1), the initial position of the particle, which would give us a final

position of (8, -3).

Now, hmm, is it a coincidence that this Coordinate looks so similar to the displacement?

Well, absolutely not!

Because really, the displacement of a particle is its final position after we move the origin

to its initial position.

So could we possibly just write (8, -3) as the displacement?

Well, turns out we actually can!

So, you might think that, in the original coordinate system, there's nothing at the

position (8,-3).

And you're right.

However, we just need to remember that this particular list of numbers is not the coordinates

of a particle.

Instead, it tells us how much the particle moved.

Now, do keep in mind, just like position, displacement is also a vector.

And how can we tell?

Well, it encodes a magnitude, the straight-line distance between the initial and final positions

of a particle, as well as the direction from one position to the other.

Awesome!

The last concept we'll focus on in this lesson is distance.

Now, there are two slightly different ways to use the word "distance".

We can speak of the straight-line distance directly between two points, or we can speak

of how far a particle has travelled.

Distance in the first sense is closely related to position and displacement.

Remember that those are vectors: they include both magnitude and direction.

When describing the magnitude of a displacement vector, we used the word distance to describe

the direct separation between the initial and final points of a particle in motion.

Distance in the sense of how far a particle has travelled is straightforward, too.

Just be careful to distinguish it from displacement.

Take, for example, a particle that travels in a circle.

It starts at one point and ends at the same point.

The distance travelled might be 3 meters, but the displacement is zero, because the

start and end points are the same.

Now you might remember that quantities with magnitude and direction are called vectors,

while quantities with magnitude alone are called scalars.

Now, position and displacement are clearly vectors.

What about distance?

Well, distance only has a magnitude.

That means that distance is a scalar!

Alright, so let's go ahead and test our understanding by doing some examples!

So, a particle begins at the origin, moves 8 meters to the right, then moves 3 meters

to the left.

What is the displacement between its initial and final positions?

Well, the first thing to remember is that displacement is a vector.

That means it must specify a magnitude and a direction.

So we automatically know that (a) and (b) are not options for our answer.

So how do we find the displacement?

Well, first we need to determine the initial and final position of the particle.

That's easy.

We know the particle started at the origin which is 0, moved 8 meters to the right and

backtracked 3 meters, ending up at 5 meters making that our final position.

Finally, all we need to do is subtract the final position by the initial position, which

is 5 minus 0, giving us a displacement of 5 meters to the right!

Therefore, 'c' is the correct answer here!

Great!

Now instead, what if we were asked to find the total distance that the particle travelled.

How would the answer change?

Well, the answer would be 'b' in this case, since now we're talking about the

total distance travelled.

When we want to find the total distance we have to consider both the movement to the

right and the movement to the left in our calculation.

So here we would just do 8 plus 3, giving us a total distance of 11 m.

And like we mentioned before as well, distance does not consider direction which is why 'd'

would not be the correct answer here.

Awesome!

Well, that's the end of this lesson on position, displacement, and distance.

Hopefully this will help you to think a little more precisely about how to describe where

things are.

So make sure to keep practicing some more problems to get a good grip on these concepts,

and we hope to see you in the next lesson.

Haters

I wish someone told me that the haters never leave

You think you'd be able to breathe After high school, but there's always someone

with envy You may not form enemies

But if you strive for greatness, you'll be sure to find a hater

Someone who feels what you've accomplished is greater

Than them, but they can't let you enjoy your win

There will always be people so insecure within That they want to tear you down

Don't convince yourself that they won't be around

When you get older Wish someone told me that success is in the

eye of the beholder And when they behold your success with hate

They stop their own self from being great Because their mental state

Is so focused on your fate That they can't keep straight

The things going on in their own life They hold the knife

To their own network, burn the bridge that is their own

When all that needed to be shown Was love, support, and mutual respect

Wish someone reminded me to take time to reflect To be sure that I'm not a hater toward someone

else Wish someone told me being a hater is bad

for your health So much negative energy

But also wish I was reminded that positivity Always wins

And in the end They will pay

Maybe not today Or tomorrow, but their time will soon come

When everyone Sees them for the hater they really are.

The End.

"Soccer fan doesn't want to pay more for accessible seats" – CBCnews, May 14, 2015 - Duration: 3:21.

[music plays then ends]

[news anchor] In just a few weeks,

one of the biggest soccer franchises in the world is coming to Toronto,

and one of Manchester City's biggest fans

wants to sit with fellow supporters.

But because he needs a wheelchair to get around, he can't.

Daniel Stone is also being asked to pay more for those accessible seats.

Charlsie Agro joins us live now

with more on the CBC News Toronto exclusive.

Charlie- Charlsie rather, what's the issue here?

[Charlsie Agro] Well, Dwight, here's the thing –

like so many soccer fans in our city, Daniel Stone saw an advertisement

offering seats in the Man City section for as low as 60 dollars.

He needs three seats –

one for himself, his wife, who supports him, and his son.

But he learned that there's no accessible seating in that section,

and in order to sit in an accessible seat,

they cost as much as three times as much.

And, as you could imagine, he's fairly disappointed.

[soccer fans cheering and chanting]

Like so many from the UK, football is life for Daniel Stone.

The diehard Manchester City fan grew up watching his hometown team.

Even after he moved to Canada,

Stone would return at least once a year to take in a game.

These days, Stone watches from home.

His trips across the pond postponed indefinitely

after a brain injury made travel nearly impossible.

His speech also suffered – a tablet helps him talk.

[Daniel through tablet] This is the first time

that Manchester City have played in Toronto.

[Charlsie] When Stone went to buy tickets

to watch his favourite franchise in the designated supporter section,

where some sell for 60 dollars, he couldn't.

There's no accessible seating in that part of the stadium.

[Daniel] I would have to pay more.

[Charlsie] You'd have to pay more. [Daniel] Yes.

[Charlsie] The accessible seats he did find

are two sections over and cost more than 100 dollars each.

Stone needs three – one for himself, wife, and son.

[Daniel through tablet] The policy in England

is that a companion gets in for free.

In Toronto, a companion has to pay for a ticket.

This is different from, say, the movies,

where a companion is free.

[Charlsie] MLSE says its policy is to have companions pay for a seat

to any event at all of its venues.

It encourages anyone with accessibility needs

to reach out to fan services.

For Stone, the idea anyone with accessibility needs

would be asked to pay more, ever, is simply unfair.

[Daniel through tablet] I do not feel that this has been handled well.

[Charlsie] Now, after we reached out to MLSE,

the company says it would very much like for Mr. Stone to contact him.

MLSE says it plans to honour that 60 dollar per ticket price

for Mr. Stone and his family

in the closest section to that Man City area

where there is an accessible seat for him.

Mr. Stone says he will purchase three tickets to that game.

MLSE also says that one percent of all seats

here at the newly renovated BMO Field are accessible,

and that that does fall within provincial standards.

Reporting live from, not far from BMO Field,

I'm Charlsie Agro.

[woman] Great story. Thank you Charlsie. [music plays and stops]

[Dwight] All right Charlsie, thank you.

Good news for Mr. Stone there, but this is a bigger issue.

It's been ten years since Ontario passed the law

requiring the province to become fully accessible by 2025.

[co-anchor] Well, despite this move forward,

critics say the law hasn't lived up to its great potential.

And joining us to talk about the state of accessibility

in our province, specifically here in the GTA,

is disabilities advocate David Lepofsky.

Thanks for bringing with us tonight.

[David Lepofsky] Thanks for inviting me.

[woman] David, is it unusual to hear

about the kind of problems that Daniel Stone faced

when he was trying to get accessible seating?

[David] People with disabilities face too many barriers,

whether it's getting into buildings,

it's people with guide dogs being told they can't go into a restaurant,

or trying to find an accessible cab.

Just the basic things that everybody else takes for granted.

And when they say that they've got one percent of the seats are accessible,

do you know that up to 18 percent of the public

now have different kinds of disabilities?

And that number's gonna grow as people, people age.

So, that... that doesn't really, uh, take into account

the number of us that are out there and the growing number of people

with different disabilities that will be out there,

since everybody gets a disability if you live long enough.

[Dwight] And how are we doing, David,

when you look at the big picture?

[David] Well, we have made progress

since the law was passed ten years ago,

and the government of Ontario gets credit for passing it,

but they've dropped the ball.

The fact is that they're not moving quickly enough.

And that's not just what I and the disability advocates

that I... I'm associated with think.

The government appointed their own independent review,

they were required to do so,

to ask how we're doing and take our temperature.

It reported, and that report, released a couple of months ago,

says that this law, after ten years,

has not made a significant difference

in the lives of people with disabilities.

And it calls on the government, including the Premier herself,

to show strong, new leadership on accessibility

if we're to get back on schedule for full accessibility by 2025,

which is what the law requires.

[co-anchor] Well, we're gonna- about to face a really big test on that.

The Pan Am and Parapan Am Games

are going to be here less than two months time.

Is the GTA, in your opinion,

ready to handle this influx of people with varying degrees of accessibility?

Well, they're expecting a quarter of a million tourists.

That'll include a lot of people with disabilities.

They're expecting f- 1,600 para-athletes.

Inside the, the stadiums and the, and the Athletes' Village,

we're expecting they're gonna be state of the art accessible.

But people don't just live there, they venture outside.

And if you go outside that bubble,

it's gonna be really hard to find an accessible place to eat,

find accessible transit to get around,

and even to find a place to go to the bathroom.

And the government, to its- uh, uh, unfortunately,

has not done a good job of creating an accessibility legacy

in our tourism sector,

so that the billion people with disabilities around the world

will see us as a place

that they wanna come and spend their money in the future.

[Dwight] Yeah, and as a blind man living in the city,

you deal with this every day – David, thank you for joining us.

[David] Thank you.

[Dwight] Remember, if you have any stories

you want us to investigate, send us an email,

tonews@cbc.ca.

What is Garlic Good For Benefits and Medicinal Uses for Garlic - Duration: 4:21.

Garlic is usually used as a spice in foods, but people don't know that is can also be

good for your health.

The main ingredient in garlic is allicin, which has antibacterial, antivirus, antifungal,

and antioxidant properties, and are very good for keeping your body healthy.

Garlic is also full of vitamins and nutrients like vitamins B1, B6, and vitamin C, manganese

calcium, copper, selenium, and others.

Eating a little garlic every day can really help, and guard, your health.

Here are the top ten ways garlic can add to your health.

Improves Heart Health Garlic is a great food for heart health.

It helps blood flow, lowers cholesterol, and stops heart disease.

It also slows atherosclerosis, the hardening of the arteries, which can lead to heart attack

or stroke.

Eat one or two crushed garlic cloves every morning to help heart health and stop heart

disease.

Controls Hypertension Garlic can help lower blood pressure, mainly

systolic blood pressure.

Garlic works as a vasodilator, helping to widen blood vessels and let blood flow better.

People with high blood pressure should eat a few raw garlic cloves every day on an empty

stomach.

, if you do not like the taste of garlic, drink a cup of milk after eating it.

You can also take garlic supplements.

Reduces Arthritis Pain Garlic also eases pain and other signs of

rheumatoid arthritis.

Its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties help bring down swelling that comes with arthritis.

It also has diallyl disulfide that helps lessen enzymes that hurt cartilage.

To soothe pain from arthritis in swelling and aching joints, use garlic in your diet

all the time.

It is best to eat it on an empty stomach.

Boosts Immunity Garlic has a lot of vitamins C and B6, and

the minerals manganese calcium and magnesium.

These nutrients help the immune system work better.

They also help the body take in minerals.

Garlic also has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties.

These help the body guard itself from germs and fight infections.

Treats Cough and Cold Because garlic kills bad bacteria and viruses,

it is a great cure for cough and cold.

It can also make sure that upper respiratory infections don't hit as bad.

Fights Fungal Infection Garlic also helps the body kill fungi and

fight fungal infections that cause ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch.

It also helps fight candida.

Combats Allergies Because garlic kills viruses and brings down

swelling, it can help the body fight different types of allergies.

It can also lessen swelling in the airway caused by allergic rhinitis.

Cures Toothache Garlic can also help cure toothaches, because

it kills bacteria and eases pain.

Just put a piece of crushed garlic clove or some garlic oil on the aching tooth and the

gum around it to make it feel better.

But remember that garlic can be bothersome to the gums, so be careful how you do it.

Aids Digestion Garlic keeps the stomach running smoothly,

which helps with digestion.

It also helps the stomach make gastric juices which help digestion.

Inhibits Cancer Garlic can stop the body from getting cancer,

mainly in the digestive system and lungs.

It can also stop tumors from getting bigger, and can make some tumors get smaller.

This is because it has allyl sulfur that can slow cancerous cells from growing.

Eating garlic all the time is important for people who have had cancer in their family,

to lower the risk of them getting many types of cancer.

For people trying to guard against cancer, garlic supplements don't work as well as

raw or cooked garlic.

November 2017 Update #DHSTV with Hank Jongen Department of Human Services - Duration: 3:29.

This month: Child Dental Benefits Schedule, claiming ABSTUDY and travelling overseas.

G'day, I'm Hank Jongen, here to tell you what's happening with the department in November.

As the year is coming to an end I'd like to remind families about the

Child Dental Benefits Schedule. This covers part of or the full costs of

a range of dental services for children aged 2 to 17 years of age. If eligible,

you can get up to $1000 over 2 calendar years. Before booking a

visit to the dentist, you can check your eligibility and the remaining benefit

cap amount for your child by accessing your Medicare online account through

myGov or by calling the Medicare general enquiries line. ABSTUDY helps Indigenous

Australians with the costs of studying or doing an Australian Apprenticeship.

It's important to get claims for next year submitted early. This is especially

important for students moving away from home to study, that's so payments can be

finalised and travel can be organised as early as possible. Claiming before

December will help students get ABSTUDY before school starts. This year, we've

made claiming easier with a verbal declaration. This means when you claim

over the phone, most people won't need to return a Customer Declaration Form

you'll only need to return it if your information isn't correct or you need to

advise of changes. We'll also let you know if you need to provide any

additional supporting documents for your claim. As we're approaching the end of

the year, a lot of people are thinking about holidays. If you're planning to

travel overseas, it's important to check how this may affect your health care,

child support arrangements and Centrelink payments.

You can tell us about your travel using your Centrelink online account through

myGov, and we'll be able to give you tailored information about how your

travel could affect your payment. While overseas, you'll also need to let

the department know about any changes to your circumstances that would normally

affect your payment or concession card, just as you would if you were in

Australia. There are rules covering how travelling outside Australia may affect

your payment or concession card. These depend on the payment or concession card

that you get. You can find out more on the website. Thanks for watching, and as

always, don't forget to like or follow us on social media and subscribe to our

channel to keep up to date. I'll see you next month, goodbye for now.

Representing Vectors in Rectangular and Polar Form - Nerdstudy Physics - Duration: 7:36.

In this video, we're going to learn how to represents vectors in the Rectangular and

Polar form.

So, let's get straight to it!

Alright, to start off, I want to remind you of what vectors are: mathematical quantities

that involve both magnitude and direction.

A good example of a vector quantity is something like "the grocery store is one kilometer

east of here".

As we can see, this involves the distance, which is the magnitude, as well as the direction.

If this isn't familiar to you, we encourage you to check out our "Introduction to Vectors"

lesson first before moving on with this one.

Alright, so let's get a little bit more abstract.

Say we draw some arrows like this.

Now couldn't we consider these to be vectors too?

They have magnitudes - represented by their lengths - and they point in certain directions.

So yes, they are in fact vectors!

Actually, arrows are a really good way to represent vectors geometrically.

If we wanted to represent wind speed and direction, for example, we could draw an arrow pointing

in the direction of the wind.

We could draw it longer if the wind is stronger and shorter if the wind is lighter.

But we can get even more abstract than that.

Let's set up some coordinate axes, and draw a random arrow somewhere.

Now let's put the tail of the arrow where the axes intersect, also known as the origin.

See how the tip of the arrow ends at a certain point?

That point can be described by coordinates, right?

So couldn't we represent the arrow itself by the coordinates of that point?

Yes, we can!

In fact, we can represent any vector by listing its coordinates!

It works the other way, too.

For any set of coordinates, say (4,2), we can draw an arrow that ends at that point.

So vectors and coordinates on a plot actually correspond to each other.

When a vector is represented by its coordinates, we call that its rectangular representation

or rectangular form.

By the way, this works in 3 dimensions, too!

On a side note, what about the coordinates (0,0)?

We can't really draw an arrow from a point to itself.

Nonetheless, (0,0) is still considered a vector as well.

It has zero length and an undefined direction.

In mathematics, we call this the zero vector.

Now, in two dimensions, we can represent vectors in another way.

Instead of giving its coordinates, we could specify its magnitude and its angle from a

given axis.

We usually choose the positive 'x' axis and measure angles counterclockwise from it,

like this.

So an arrow with length 3 and angle 30 degrees would look like this.

When we represent a vector with a magnitude and an angle, we call that its polar representation

or Polar Form.

Some people write a vector in polar notation like this, with an angle sign preceding the

angle.

But others often write it in a list, which looks very similar to the rectangular representation,

so be careful!

Alright, before we move on, let's test ourselves with an example.

Which one of these arrows corresponds to a vector with a magnitude of 5 and an angle

of 120 degrees?

Well, the answer is 'b'.

And how do we know this?

First of all, 120 degrees puts the vector in the second quadrant, which immediately

eliminates the options 'a' and 'd'.

And secondly, between these two, does 'c' look like it has a magnitude of 5?

Of course not, it looks more like its magnitude is 1.

Therefore, that leaves us 'b' as our final answer!

Awesome!

So let's move right along.

So, you might be wondering, is it possible to convert between a vector's rectangular

and polar representations?

Well certainly!

Let's first look at an example of how to convert a vector from the rectangular form

to the polar form.

Consider the vector (2,2).

We can actually think of this diagram as a right-angled triangle, like so.

In doing so, the magnitude of the vector becomes the length of the hypotenuse of this triangle.

So, we can actually use the Pythagorean theorem to calculate it.

Let's bring up the formula for it, just to refresh our memory.

Plugging in the respectives values gives us the following.

2 squared plus 2 squared equals 8.

And square rooting both sides gives us a final 'c' value or magnitude of square root

of 8 or about 2.83.

As for the angle, we can find that using trigonometry.

Since we know all three sides of this triangle, we can choose any of the trigonometric functions

to solve for the angle.

For instance, the sides opposite to and adjacent to the angle are both 2.

Now, looking at the acronym SOHCAHTOA, we see that tangent is the function that involves

opposite over adjacent!

So the tangent of this angle, which we can just represent as 'theta' for now, is

2 divided by 2, which equals 1.

So, all we need to do is take the inverse of that to give us a final answer of 45 degrees

for this angle.

So now we've found the equivalent of (2,2) in polar form.

The magnitude is root 8, and the angle is 45 degrees.

Awesome!

But what if we want to go the other way around, from the polar representation to the coordinate

representation?

Well, that's a matter of simple trigonometry as well.

In fact, for a vector with magnitude 'r' and angle theta, the 'x' coordinate is

'r' times cosine of theta and the 'y' coordinate is 'r' times sin of theta.

So these are the formulas that give us the conversion!

All we would need to do to solve for them is just plug them into our calculators to

give us the coordinate values.

Pretty simple, right?

Alright, so we've reached the end of this lesson!

We looked at how to represent vectors mathematically, in both rectangular form and in polar form,

and learned how to convert between the two.

So make sure to keep practicing and we will see you in the next lesson!

was, after all, the day Paul Manafort was indicted).

"A couple of you got it," she joked.

"This story has been floating around the internet for a while, and it's important

to keep in mind that the numbers are not exact, and I'm also not encouraging any drinking,"

she joked.

"So file that away — it's mostly for my parents.

But I think you'll enjoy it."

"Suppose that every day, 10 people — for our purposes, we'll say reporters — go

out for beer, and the bill for all 10 comes to $100," Sanders said.

"If these 10 reporters paid their tab every night the way we pay our taxes, it would go

something like this: first four, the poorest, would pay nothing.

The fifth would pay $1.

The sixth would pay $3.

The seventh would pay $7.

The eighth would pay $12.

The ninth would pay $18.

The tenth, the richest, would pay $59.

So that's what they decided to do."

However, as Huckabee Sanders explained, things all changed one day when the bartender made

a proposition.

Watch it here:

those who are looking for a good argument of why we give the richest Americans tax cuts,

this is a pretty solid answer: It creates more opportunities for Americans.

One decade on from the Great Recession, the recovery still isn't complete.

We need more jobs, and tax policy is the best way to ensure those get created.

The bar analogy may be simple, but it's a great way to explain to angry liberals who

don't like reading economics books just how this whole tax policy thing works.

What do you think should be in the Trump tax plan?

Samhain Is Coming – 3 Sacred Signs We Are Getting Closer - Duration: 5:42.

Samhain Is Coming 3 Sacred Signs We Are Getting Closer

By consciousreminder

Our ancestors didnt need a calendar to tell them Samhain was getting close they

could read the signs.

People have been reading signs in the wider world for at least as long as weve been

human. This requires no great psychic skills anyone can do it, if you pay close attention

over a long period of time. Many things that happen regularly happen in a particular order,

and while correlation is not causation its good enough for predictive purposes.

Weve lost much of the wisdom and lore of our pre-Christian ancestors, and in any case

we live in a very different world. But even in here in urban and suburban North America,

there are signs that let us know its getting close to Samhain.

For any readers who are new to Paganism, Samhain is pronounced SOW-en its an Old

Irish word meaning summers end. Its not pronounced SAM-hane and there never

was a Samhane Lord of the Dead thats a early modern literary error that was sensationalized

by evangelical scaremongers.

In contemporary Paganism, its the final harvest festival, celebrated on October 31.

Its a time to remember our ancestors and a time to contemplate death and what comes

afterward.

Some of the signs we can look for that Samhain is getting close are deep, serious, and spiritual

as well.

Now here are three serious signs Samhain is getting close.

1. The Dark Half is growing.

The days have been shorter than the nights since the Autumn Equinox two weeks ago. Now

the change is evident: the sun is low enough to be in your eyes on your drive home, its

rising further and further south every day, and the temperatures are dropping. My evening

prayers, which were said in bright sunlight just a few weeks ago, are now said in shadows.

Before long theyll be done in artificial light. Summers End is getting close, even

here in Texas.

In an agricultural society this would be a signal that work is slowing down. Instead,

were gearing up for the holiday season. But our reading of the signs reminds us there

will eventually come a time when our work is no more. What is hidden away causes fear

and anxiety lets bring Death out into the open and explore the great transition

we will all someday make.

2. The Veil Between the Worlds grows thin.

Samhain is the season when the world of the living and the world of the Gods and ancestors

draw near, and sometimes overlap. The Veil between them becomes thin and porous, and

even those of us who arent particularly skilled at such things can hear, see, and

experience the Otherworld.

Are your dreams more vivid and more meaningful, even if theyre as elusive as always come

morning? Is your intuition sharper, your inexplicable feelings you should do this or must not do

that stronger? Are your meditations clearer and your sense of the presence of the land

spirits more certain? Samhain is getting close.

Perhaps you have trouble seeing these signs. Thats not surprising you probably have

trouble recognizing subtle changes in weather, vegetation, and animal behavior too. We arent

taught these things any more, and those of us are particularly adept at them are told

were imagining things or that it doesnt make any difference.

Pay attention to your dreams and intuitions. Take notes and review them from time to time.

Things that happen regularly usually happen in a particular order and in particular patterns.

You wont become skilled in a week or a month or maybe even a year, but with diligent

practice, eventually youll be able to read these signs as well as you can read the more

obvious and silly ones.

3. Our ancestors draw near.

Perhaps after death we live on in the Otherworld. Perhaps were reincarnated into another

body. Perhaps the essence of who we are merges into the Universe, just as our bodies return

to the Earth from whence they came. I have my favorite theories, but in the end, we dont

know.

But this we do know: that which is remembered lives.

At Samhain we remember our ancestors. We remember our grandmothers and grandfathers, our ancestors

we knew in life or that we know from the stories told about them. We remember our ancestors

of spirit, the teachers and friends who influenced our lives even though we do not share their

blood. We remember, as best we can, those ancestors we never knew but whose deeds form

a foundation on which we build our lives.

We remember and they draw near, and we experience their presence once again.

Samhain is coming. The calendar says so and so do the signs. May your observances and

celebrations be powerful and blessed.

Learn How Your Face Can Reveal What Part of Your Body Is Sick, a - Duration: 4:41.

Learn How Your Face Can Reveal What Part of Your Body Is Sick, and What to Do About It

Ancient Chinese healers didnt rely on sophisticated machines in order to detect diseases in

fact, they learned how to read the face and recognize the signs of any disease and condition.

For example, they believed that any kind of skin problem (redness, dry skin, acne) is

directly caused by some kind of problem in your organs, as all organs in the body are

interconnected.

Although it has been lost at some point throughout history, face mapping was an important tool

for detection of numerous health problems in ancient times.

Face mapping is a technique which relies on the position of acne on the face to detect

health problems in the body.

Its a safe and non-invasive method that can identify diseases and help you treat them

accordingly.

The technique works on the premise that all organs are interconnected in the body, and

that a thorough look at the face can help the doctor diagnose anything.

DIET AND LIFESTYLE FACE MAPPING

The face can show any kind of problem you might be facing. Heres what the location

of acne signifies:

ACNE ON THE CHEEKS

Smoking Touching your face frequently

Bacterial buildup

ACNE ON THE T-ZONE

Stress Alcohol abuse

Too much coffee Poor circulation

ACNE ON THE CHIN, JAW OR NECKLINE

Excessive consumption of starch Candida infection

Hormonal problems

Excessive consumption of processed sugar

FACE MAPPING BY ORGAN

Although this list is helpful for determining the broad causes of acne, their exact location

is the better way of detecting a disease.

Locate the specific organ related to a specific zone on your face and you will easily discover

what youre suffering from.

LIVER THE AREA BETWEEN THE EYEBROWS

If you consume a lot of meat, the stomach will work overtime to digest it.

This will leave the organ without rest and overworked, which will result in skin problems

such as acne.

In order to resolve the problem, start eating a healthy diet focused on raw fruit and vegetables,

and make sure to spend more time outside in the fresh air as well.

BLADDER AND SMALL INTESTINE FOREHEAD

If you have acne on your forehead, youre probably consuming far too much processed

and fatty food as well as foods low in fiber.

Alcohol abuse and stress can also be the reason which leads to poor digestion, toxic buildup,

and dehydration.

To resolve the problem, you need to drink 10-12 glasses of water every day and stay

away from alcohol and processed food.

KIDNEYS EYE AREA AND EYEBROWS

Acne in this part of the face is probably caused by malnutrition and dehydration.

Alcohol abuse, smoking, poor circulation and weakened heart can also be the cause.

The solution is to avoid caffeine and alcohol and drink plenty of water every day.

KIDNEYS AND LUNGS CHEEKS

Poor dental hygiene is the most frequent reason for acne on the cheeks. In order to treat

the problem, floss and brush your teeth regularly, and avoid foods and drinks rich in sugar.

LUNGS UPPER PART OF THE CHEEKS

Acne in the upper part of the cheeks is a sign of increased air pollution.

Avoid going outside when the air is polluted and stop smoking as soon as possible to improve

your condition.

HEART NOSE

The nose is directly related to the heart if you have acne on it, avoid consuming

too much salt, eat a healthier diet and start exercising more often.

STOMACH MOUTH, AND CHIN

Acne on the mouth and chin are usually caused by alcohol abuse and consumption of fatty

and sugary foods. Avoid consuming these foods and add some fermented foods to your diet

to treat the problem.

HORMONES NECK AND JAW

Acne on these areas is usually caused by hormonal imbalance. In order to regulate your hormones,

control your salt and caffeine intake and eat a healthy diet.

Secret CIA Classified Report Shows They Found Hitler In 1954 - Government Conspiracy - Duration: 2:17.

Stop what you're doing, according to a declassified CIA file, a man who claimed to be hitler,

and also matched hitlers description, was photographed living in Colombia in 1954.

This evidence could mean that hitler did not commit suicide in Germany, but escaped persecution.

I'm going to tell you everything you need to know, here for you on IO.

Welcome back to inform overload, your youtube source for trending news, I'm charlotte

dobre.

If this is your first time here, please take a minute to hit that thumbs up and subscribe.

A declassified file says that The CIA was informed about a man claiming to be adolf

hitler, who lived in a community of ex Nazis in the 50s.

A man named Phillip Citroen told the CIA in 1954 that he had met a man who claimed to

be the fuhrer living in Tunja.

They met at a place called Recidencies Coloniales, which was apparently overpopulated with former

Nazis.

These former Nazis would address this man as the fuhrer, and afforded him the nazi salute.

This is a picture of the two of them together, and Citroen gave the photo to the CIA to support

his claims.

The man on the right bares a striking resemblance to adolf hitler.

But by the time the CIA did anything about it, this man had apparently fled to argentina.

At the time, the cia wrote down the information in an informal memo, but little was done about

it because they didn't believe the story.

Eventually, the case was dropped.

There are many rumors of hitler escaping Germany after the war ended and going to south America.

In fact, thousands of Nazis are believed to have fled to south America, especially argentina,,

because president Juan Peron was a rumoured nazi sympathizer.

They were given fake passports with new identities, that allowed them to assume new lives in settlements.

The official story of hitlers death is, that hitler shot himself in the head in his bunker

in berlin.

His wife ava killed herself with cyanide.

Their bodies were brought to a garden outside where they were covered in petrol and burned.

Many investigators have tried to prove that adolf hitler and eva used body doubles to

fake their suicides, and they escaped.

Perhaps we will never know what really happened to adolf hitler, but I have to admit, this

man in the photo looks a lot like him.

Do you think this man could be adolf hitler?

Homemade Rosemary Wreath ~ Gifts from the Garden ~ The Holidays are Coming ~ Noreen's Kitchen - Duration: 15:02.

Today we're going to share with you how to make this beautiful rosemary wreath so come and join me

And I'll show you how we made this beautiful rosemary wreath

I'm gonna go over. What supplies you're gonna need first, and of course you're gonna need your greens

Whether they are store-bought or trimmed off of your trees

At Christmastime, I like to go around the neighborhood and maybe I'll put some rosemary and Magnolia

but I'll also take trimmings off of

blue fur blue spruce pine trees

Juniper bushes, I have two holly bushes in my front yard that I like to trim up

This is a great opportunity to cut those things back

But then give those trimmings a second life Holly and Magnolia make an amazing Christmas wreath

So you know what else - I have a Lowe's not too far from where I live

And they have in they have these banks of shrubbery that that

That are Rupp by the road around their parking lot

You know what go over there and trim me off some if you like what they have

Nobody is going to complain that you're trimming their bushes for free and and everybody benefits from that so you need your greens always put

cut more than you think you're going to need and you're going to need a wire wreath form this is a

twelve inch or ten inch wire wreath form and

This is

this is a twelve inch wire wreath form this is the smallest that I could find my Michaels I

Would have preferred a smaller one twelve inch means that is twelve inches in diameter in the center not on the outside

So you're gonna need a wire wreath form you can also fashion a wire from a coat hanger if that's your preference

Your need some paddle wire. I have two examples here. It comes in just the

regular

Silver color or in this green color and that's what we're gonna use today

And then we're going to cover our wire form with some Spanish moss now

Spanish moss grows all over the place here

And I went ahead and I bought a bag

Because most of you are not gonna have access to fresh Spanish moss unless you live in the south

So it comes in a bag it's about four dollars. It just says moss, but it's Spanish moss, okay?

This is clean and dry if you live in the south and have Spanish moss hanging off your trees

Go ahead and use it just pull it off

give it a good rinse in a bucket of water lay it out in the Sun and let it dry out if

If you're worried about bugs in the Spanish moss stick it in a 150 degree oven for about an hour

And then let it cool completely. It'll kill any bugs that may be in it, so

That's the supplies you're gonna need they're few and simple and the wow factor is gonna be off the charts here

Now for those of you who may not know I was a florist for a long time. I actually own my own flower shop

So I know my way around a wreath

no pun intended, so

In order to make the moss workable if you've purchased it

It's not fresh, then you want to make it you want to moisten it a little so you're just gonna

I have a bowl of water. It's not warm water. It's just water

It's just a bowl of water when I worked in the first flower shop

I ever worked in which is where I got a lot of my training

These are all those little tricks and tips now Spanish moss

Isn't going to absorb like a sponge, but you do want to make sure you squeeze it out getting it

Wet is really just helping you

Not get Spanish moss everywhere

Okay, so all you're gonna want to do is

You're gonna want to kind of stick it on there okay, you get your paddle wire

All right and

Then you're just gonna wrap it and don't worry because this is not

This isn't really gonna be seen a whole lot so

But it's gonna cover up our

our

Wire frame so get your end, this is my end. I'm just gonna kind of tuck it in here and then

you can take your

Your paddle wire and the other thing too is the moss is gonna hide the paddle wire nicely

So you're gonna do that all the way around I'm gonna go finish mine, and I'll be back when I'm done, okay

I've gone ahead and started putting some of the magnolia leaves on but you can see I have totally wired

That Spanish moss onto the ring, and it is still gonna fluff off a little

but this helps you to keep it on that wire form I did neglect to tell you the convex side should go down so the

The arch on the roof should be on up when you set it on the table to work on your wreath

Okay, you can see that. I took the Magnolia off because once I got playing with it I decided

I really didn't care for it that much so we're just gonna do rosemary today

What you have to do is you need to cut your rosemary and you need to make it into bundles, okay, okay?

What you want to do to make these bundles is you want to gather a few stems of rosemary?

Just like this

It doesn't have to be

Perfect or nee the beauty part about this is this supposed to be a natural wreath, and it's supposed to have

That type of a look to it. It's supposed to look as if you found it laying on the forest floor

But we all know you didn't so it's okay

And kind of share it the bottoms take your paddle wire

And just kind of wrap it

Wrap it fairly tight because remember these are fresh

And as they dry they're going to shrink and when they shrink they're gonna come just detached a little bit

from the wire, so you want to make sure the wire is super tight okay, and

Then you just put it in your pile now. I think I have enough bundles to go around the inside of my race

And this is how we start doing that

You can just take a bundle and wire it to the wreath. I know this seems

Pretty easy and it is pretty easy

And it's gonna take you a minute or two to get used to

how the paddle wire wire feels in your hand

Take this next bundle and overlap it with the stems from the last bundle, so you really kind of

Can't see so much where you wired those together, okay?

And then just kind of

Actually you need to bring the wire down here just a little bit

Then you put your next bundle

Wire it in and remember what wrap it up pretty taut

Around there then kind of stretch your wire out down to the next place grab yourself another bundle

And wrap again

Then come down here

Grab yourself another bundle now. This is just a branch. I didn't wire this cuz I didn't feel like I needed to just

Kind of position this to where it looks the best now we may go around this a second time with another group of bundles of

Rosemary just so it looks

Really beautiful and full

So I'm gonna finish this round and then I'll be back, and I'll show you what we're gonna do next I

Finished going around one full time with my bundles now

I think it needs to be fuller, so I'm gonna continue going around now the tricky part

Here is when you go around a second time you

Are going to want to kind of wind your wire so that you're not mashing down?

the

Layer below, so what you're gonna want to do is make sure that your wire is

Is position so that you're not mashing down the layer above and you may have to kind of weave it in

But it's no big deal. It's pretty simple and now it's just a matter of personal preference

for you as to how full you want to make your rosemary wreath and

You can continue on until you reach that particular point

and if you feel like that one was kind of happy hazard you can go ahead and and give it a little a

Little wire and and it'll kind of hold it in place for you, and you won't be able to see it

It'll be beautiful

But you won't be able to see that you kind of wrapped it up like that so what I'm gonna do is

I'm gonna continue to UM to add a few more bundles here and there and

I'll be back and I'll show you how we're gonna finish this off

Hey now I have completed

My rosemary wreath, and this is what it looks like on the back

You can see all the wrapping wires

But the best part is after you get

Enough wire on here. You can just fill in

Wherever you want to by getting a heavy stem and kind of sticking it in there because there's enough wire in there to support it

So that's one thing that is kind of nice about

when you get to a certain point I

Like the way this looks. It's very symmetrical and the rosemary is kind of in a big swirl, and that's how I want it now

You can finish this off any way you like you can leave. It. Just as it is but today

I think I'm gonna just do a little bow and

I'm gonna come in here

with my ribbon and

You can even you know do this in and hang it like that with the bow. I'm not going to hang it like that

for

My kitchen because I'm gonna hang this on the inside of my kitchen doors

A finished rosemary wreath, um this is going to if you hang this outside in the cold weather

It's going to last a good long time

You might want to spray it with some fresh water from time to time like every other day or so it'll keep it fresh longer

If you're going to use this as just a decorative wreath

That's about all you have to do to make it last if you're gonna like use it for the Christmas season or or just about

Anything now this is also a great wreath that you can give as a culinary gift to the kuelen Airy lever or the kuelen area

in your life

This once, it's dry the rosemary leaves can be used in cooking so that's a nice thing just make sure that it's not

Sprayed with pesticides or anything and it is all natural and you tell them this is going to shit so at some point

they may want to disassemble and

Take the needles off of the branches and store them in a bag or a jar or something

I wanted to tell you a couple of interesting facts about rosemary

Course rosemary is native to the Mediterranean and the strongly scented plant symbolizes remembrance love friendship and fidelity

Mythology about it dates back to the ancient Egyptians where it was often found in tombs and later

It was strongly figured or featured in the mythologies of both the ancient Greeks and the Romans and legends

Associating it with the virgin mary persists to this day

rosemary isn't

Inspired by the ancient Greek belief that rosemary enhanced memory it has been used in weddings since that time as a symbol for fidelity

brides

frequently wore it and wreaths around their heads as anne of cleves is said to have done when she married King Henry the eighth and

Some couples also made bouquets of rosemary to give to wedding guests as reminders of their love and promises of loyalty to each other

The same association was evoked at funerals where mourners frequently tossed rosemary into the grave and loving remembrance of the deceased in

literature during the great Renaissance Puli writes such as William Shakespeare and Ben Johnson

Used rosemary symbolism to communicate the desire for remembrance love and fidelity in their work in Hamlet, Ophelia

Powerfully uses rosemary to plead with her brother to remember their family and avenge their father's murder

Ben Johnson plays allude to its use during New Year

celebrations when it is offered as a gift to guests to wish them happiness an

ancient legend linked rosemary with the Virgin Mary

It was believed that she threw her cloak over a rosemary bush

And that is why it's flowers are blue this association caused people to link rosemary with good fortune and protection for example

Rosemary placed under the pillow was said to protect against evil spirits and bad dreams

in French hospitals

They burned rosemary to prevent infection in ancient Rome in the home

Rosemary was draped on household statues because it's to symbolize stability and later during the Middle Ages

Newlywed couples would plant a sprig of rosemary in their garden if it grew it was declared a good omen for the couple

Thriving rosemary gardens symbolized the strength and power of a woman of the house, so I thought that was fun

Fun facts for you today as we leave after we've made this rosemary leaf - wreath together

I think it's an appropriate gift for not only the keulen arian or the holidays, but also think about it as as a

wedding gift

Perhaps if you have someone getting married in the summer or spring it might be nice to give a potted rosemary plant as a gift

to them simply because of the high

Symbolism that it evokes with regard to love fidelity and remembrance so I hope that this was fun and enjoyable for you

And I hope that if you want to give making a rosemary the try

That you will and that you learned how to do that today, so I hope you try it

I hope you love it and until next time. I'll see ya
