Color Grading Using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere 🎥 - Duration: 6:51.

Hey guys

Today I'll tell you how quickly you can improve your videos using Photoshop

If you want to work with videos one of the first things to learn is how to solve color problems

And there come a simple solution the LUTS (Color Lookup Tables)

What are color instruction for your video that will speed up the process of color grading

and to create a LUT you can use photoshop, after all, it is much simpler to work with colors in still images!

For this, you will need Adobe Premiere and Photoshop as well as a JPEG frame of your video

Add the video that will edit the colors in the Premiere timeline

Choose a frame from the video that best represents the colors of the video

and click to export frame, and save the image

Open the image in Photoshop

Work Image Edition Naturally

Effects will not be saved in the LUT,

so forget anything other than color adjustment, saturation, contrast and this sort of thing.

Adjust colors, saturation, curves, whatever you find pertinent to your image and the context you want to pass

After finishing editing your frame, go to edit> export> color lookup table

Set the name of your LUT file extension and where it will be saved, use the CUBE extension

Now that you already have the color scheme you will use in your video, just go back to Premiere

In Premiere, create a new track called Adjustment Layer,

Put this bed on top of the video layer you want the LUT to have effect

Click Colors at the top of Premiere

On the right choose to add LUT, and then choose the LUT you created in Photoshop

Boom ..... Now your you video was color graded with Photoshop

You can still add edits if you want to leave the thing with your face

Let's see how it looks!!!

As we use an adjustment layer the same LUT can be applied to several different clips

Very simple and fast

Finish your issue ready! Your video is ready and with the color adjustments you so desire!

Leave your Like and subscribe to the Channel

iMeiden - Tower Light Fireworks (feat. Rachie) - Duration: 4:20.

Running with the wind

to a place atop a hill

Shining brightly

Were those fireworks that flared up overhead

In the end

I could only remember the lights in the show

Warm and glittering

Like a flower in the sky

I never could forget

all the colors sprinkling out in rainbow lines crossing by

to the edge of my sight as it goes up above

As I'm on my way

Coming home today

I'll be waiting there

On a lonely prayer

For the first time since that happy night

I'll see those bright shining lights

Flying straight through the sky

With the stars softly twinkling

Moonlight singing

Rockets flaring

Light beams narrowing

For the first time since that happy night

Those things will be in my sight

And I'll be there standing by

In a lonely town

I spend all my days in wait

For that something

From that day I saw those never ending flames

But the same

helpless days will do nothing but keep passing by

In my daily life

I'll continue living

for the things that I can do

But I'll always keep on reaching out for home

All alone

While I'm over in here looking up to the sky

As I'm on my way

Coming home today

I'll be waiting there

On a lonely prayer

Bringing back things that I've found since then

I'll have it all kept within

With it here to the end

With the stars softly twinkling

Moonlight singing

Rockets flaring

Light beams narrowing

Bringing back things that I've found since then

The colors shower and spin

I'll let it all out again

Making Friends - Jack Marshall Can't Do This - Webseries - Episode 17 - Duration: 6:39.

It's too quiet. After I was laid out in the cellar, everything just settled down.

There's no trespassers on camera.

No rearranging in my room. No bumps in the night.

I don't like it.

I'm still trying to crack this riddle I found, but I can't make heads or tails of it.

And, to be perfectly honest, I'm having to play offense and defense at the same time, so I need some help.

I mean, I guess I have Donni. But she's not actually here, so that's not the same thing.

Sorry, Donni. No offense.

House is at best a suspect.

And as for Morgan, I just need visual confirmation that he's been breaking into my house several times a week.

Oh, I'm also pretty sure that he's the one that's responsible for this headache

that I've been enjoying lately.

I need someone here that I can trust.

Which is why, as weird as this sounds, I'm interviewing for new friends.

But I really only have one possible candidate, so, let's hope that it works out.

Hey!

[O.S.] Hey, Jack.

Oh, please, come on in.

Thanks for coming Reverend.

Oh, call me Paul. This was on your step.

The weather calls for rain later so I didn't want it to get soaked.

Clergy and a postmaster. Do you fix broken windows as well?

Sorry, I don't, actually.

Oh, is this more tribute footage?

[O.S.] Uh, no, I do video blogs.

Oh, okay. Am I interrupting?

[O.S.] No, actually I was gonna see if you wanted to help.

Me?

[O.S.] Yeah, it gets kind of boring when it's just me all the time.

I can turn it off if you want.

No, no, no it's it's fine.

You know I was actually, I was thinking about the memorial.

You were?

Yeah, I was going to offer you the sanctuary at the school if you want it.

Wow, that's really nice, Paul. Thank you.

Um, I was thinking about doing it here, though.

Oh, of course.

I would love for you to speak, though.

Yeah, I mean, at your Aunt's Memorial?

Mmhmm, do like a sermon or whatever they're called.

Yeah, yeah, of course. I will.

I mean I'd love to. I mean, that'd be wonderful - -

Great. Sorry, I didn't actually invite you over to talk about the memorial, though.

Oh, you didn't?

No. How well do you know this house?

Um, well, I knew your aunt very well.

I mean, we were good friends.

I wasn't here often but probably more than most.

What can you tell me about it that I don't know.

Ah, you've heard the rumors.

Gold bars in the mattresses.

Rubies in the bathroom.

Diamonds in the cellar.

Are they true?

I don't think anybody knows the answers to that question.

Ah, well, I intend to find out.

Okay, well, your Aunt Josette, she actually had a lot of changes around here.

They were bringing in construction crews here all the time.

But none of the companies I recognized.

Oh, did she ever tell you any riddles?

Ones like about, I don't know, like a bow and arrow?

No, I don't, I don't think so. Why you think you think it's a clue?

I don't know.

See, Paul, I'm gonna be honest with you.

There is a race on right now to figure out what's inside this house

and I don't know who I'm up against.

I need an ally. Someone I can trust.

You think you can help me?

Yeah, I could help you. What do you, what do you need?

Oh, basically just don't break in and sneak around.

I have a very low bar for friendship.

Seriously? You have a prowler?

I'm afraid so.

Any idea who it is?

No, I'm just trying to find confirmation.

Have you called the police?

Mmm-hmm, no. I don't intend to.

I feel like the less they know the better. I think.

Okay, so no breaking and entering.

Okay, anything else?

This house is really old,

and I'm trying to get my hands on some blueprints

to see if I can see anything that sticks out.

But they've been lost along the way.

Now, the county clerk has a copy,

but it's outside my quarantine. So.

You know, it's strange. Arthur should have them. Have you asked him yet?

You know Arthur?

Yeah, I mean he's - -

He's a tool?

Well, we're all God's children.

Morgan is a good friend of his.

He's the handyman around here.

He's his friend?

Yeah, maybe you've seen him around?

I most certainly have.

I knew Arthur hired him but I didn't know that they were that close.

Yeah, now Arthur has a summer house here now,

so, he and Morgan are thick as thieves whenever he comes to visit.

Oh, see? You are such a big help already!

Okay...

In any case, I'll help you find those blueprints.

Great. -And I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks, Paul.

Yeah, if you need anything, call me anytime.

I will.

Okay.

Are you hungry?

Yeah.

Great. House made some stew. I think it's mutton.

I've never had a mutton before but it's worth a try.

Yeah, I'll give it a shot.

Cool. House!

I have a friend. I have one friend. Hey!

Paul's great and it's gonna be a huge help having him on my side.

And Morgan has entered this house for the last time.

Legitimately, at least.

Well, actually I don't know if I can fire him.

Can I fire him, Pete?

But I'm going to anyway.

Oh!

I wonder what this could be?

All the parts from Donni already came in.

"Because it's not Halloween without candy corn." -M

Reflections on the Japanese American Experience - Bruce T. Kaji - Duration: 2:29.

I have always felt that we were mistreated as Japanese Americans and that our cause has

not been known to the people in the United States.

The government took advantage of us.

They put us in camps.

They never compensated us and then told us to leave the camp and "go back to where you

came from" and gave you travel expenses, and that's it.

I says, "This is mistreatment of the citizens of this country, and yet we volunteered to

serve in the army.

We served in Europe, and I don't know what to tell you, but if it weren't for the 100th

and 442nd, I think we might've lost the war in Europe.

And as far as the Japanese Americans in the Pacific side, if you didn't have them, according

to statements by the government, it would've cost you more time and money to have won,

if you would've won."

I says, we were mistreated, and I think that the government should know about it.

We should let the citizens know about it.

The only way we can do it is ourselves.

We have to build a museum somewhere where people can see what happened and tell people

what we're all about.

And we're still lacking money.

We're lacking recognition, and we haven't received anything from the government.

I says we have to let the public know, and the only way I can think of is to start a

museum, start a public place where we can teach people as to what happened to us.

Nobody else is gonna do it for us.

We have to do it ourselves.

YouTube Channel Mistakes You Don't Want to Make | Channel Growth Exposed - Duration: 8:07.

what's going on guys it's Brian from BG media innovation and I got a great one

for you here today before we get started though go ahead and hit that subscribe

button that way you get notified when I release a new video and you can stay up

to date on the content because as you know being an online entrepreneur or

making any money online regardless of the niche or the method a big part of

that involves staying ahead of the competition so with that being said

let's just jump right in

hey guys I wanted to talk to you today about the sub 4 sub culture on YouTube

you know does it work whether or not you should do it you know and so on and so

forth now this is both something that I've learned from other people and

anecdotally as I've looked at my channel analytics over a time to see the impact

that it actually did you know we all try sub4sub at least the majority of people

I would assume it's something that you hear when you first search out you know

how to grow a YouTube channel some people tell you not to some people tell

you to you know and it makes sense to kind of grow your subscriber count with

from for whatever you know whatever way that you can basically so that you get

that social proof and you get those initial people in but you have to ask

yourself you know is it really worth it in the long run whether that long run is

you know a month or two months ten months and I actually have another video

that I I'm launching later in the week that I've already recorded because I

kind of want to get that idea out there and it's basically you know what is it's

a new youtuber hack that will help you out that will actually you can you can

kind of do to organically grow your channel a lot faster as opposed to doing

sub4sub because what I'm basically about to tell

you is that sub4sub does not work and and I'm gonna give you a reason why okay

so this is gonna be a brief one I just kind of want to talk to you about this

because this is something that I want you to avoid at all costs do not do

sub4sub if you don't know what sub4sub is it's pretty self-explanatory

obviously you know you subscribe to somebody else's channel and they

subscribe back now Amazon I want to say Amazon some on Amazon so much YouTube is

smart okay YouTube is basically owned by Google obviously we all know this

YouTube is smart all those channel hacks so to speak or tricks do not work and

they actually hurt your channel a lot more what sub4sub does is not only for

the obvious reasons that those people aren't legitimate viewers they're not

legitimate subbers and they're not gonna continue to watch your content and a lot

of them will unsubscribe that's obvious we all know that that's you know we

should all be able to basically understand that the real factor in this

and I'll get straight to it for you guys is you you're not thinking about what

actually goes into u2's YouTube's algorithm you know I want to grow my

youtube channel a lot where I think we're approaching

600 subscribers at the time of this video I hope to be you know in a couple

thousand within a month or two so I really think that that you know tagging

and everything plays a part into it but the key to YouTube's algorithm obviously

especially when you're first starting out is watch time its watch time in

session time those are the two most important things that you need to be

thinking about how do you keep you people more engaged and how do you keep

them watching your videos okay so watch time in session time are two to two of

the most important things that go into YouTube's algorithm now if you get a

bunch of people on your video but they go off say you know for example you send

your video out in a Facebook group you know that's a sub4sub Facebook group or

something which is something that I did myself what's gonna happen is they're

gonna come to your video they're gonna subscribe and then they're gonna leave

and their watch time is gonna be about you know five to ten seconds even if

it's like twenty seconds now what does that say to YouTube's algorithm that

basically says that everybody that comes to your video doesn't like it they're

not staying engaged they don't like your content your watch time then suffers

obviously and YouTube it basically sends the message to YouTube that you're not a

good channel that people don't engage with your content so that's something to

keep in mind okay that's the reason that you don't want to do sub4sub not because

you don't want you you know that the viewers or anything like that obviously

we all know that and that they're not real subs but it's more so that you

don't want them coming to your video watching about ten seconds of it and

then leaving that's bad for your channel that's bad for your videos okay that's

something to keep in mind instead you want to check out my other video that's

linked in the description on you know how you can kind of I hate the word hack

or tip or trick or anything like that but this will basically you know kind of

elevate your videos slightly in YouTube's algorithm as best as possible

when you're first starting out your channel and you know you can basically

use that to your advantage and use what you know about YouTube's algorithm to

your advantage to basically grow at the most optimal rate that you can okay so

that's something to keep in mind check that out other than that you're gonna

want to basically you know figure out what your you want to go into and I'm

not gonna go into it for a second because I want to I want to keep my um

my Adsense earnings kind of covert until I do my my my next

and add reveal because if you don't know about this channel one of my playlists

is actually my you to add revenue journey and so I want to document that

in time but basically what you're gonna do is you're gonna go to your creator

studio and you're gonna check out your analytics and you're gonna figure out

what time people are dropping off you're gonna check out your your average viewer

watch time and you're gonna figure out like maybe that's two minutes maybe

that's four minutes what you're gonna do then is you're gonna figure out what

time they drop off at so if it's a your average of you time is you know three

minutes what you're gonna do then is right before that you're gonna want to

put you know a plug into your video about subscribing and you're gonna want

one of those pop-ups and I'll actually make a video about that relatively soon

to kind of show you guys how to do that but that's something to keep in mind too

you want to keep people engaged if they're not you know potentially engaged

with this video you want them to be engaged with another one of your videos

and another tip just you know randomly that's something that I haven't

implemented yet but I plan on doing that is branding your thumbnails branding

your YouTube thumbnails kind of with a and I've caught it you can kind of see

here I kind of do like the let's go into my videos really fast I've been kinda

starting to see me do it because you kind of see like the half pictures with

like the the red and the black but this is a bad example don't listen to this

one I plan on kind of branding them a little bit better maybe it's like a bar

down the side maybe it's like kind of an image in the corner but you want to put

a stamp on your YouTube thumbnail so that when people are watching your video

let's click on this one for example and they see all these suggested videos on

the side or you know below if they're on mobile what you want them to you want

them to be able to distinguish and recognize the difference between other

people's videos and your videos so that they can stay engage with your content

because if you can keep them engaged from video to video on your content then

I don't know why this is up this is my two buddy that also be linked in the

description to you guys want to check that out that makes a huge difference if

you tagging but that that's really gonna help your session time if you if like

say somebody's watching this video and they're like you know all the way up to

seven minutes and then they they get distracted because we all know that

YouTube's a very distracting place and they say oh I want to I want to know how

you know Brian made a thousand dollars on Amazon

minutes and they click this one that also sends good signals to YouTube that

also helps YouTube's algorithm rank you higher because not just your watch time

on that video but your average their the person's average session time that they

stay engaged with your channel goes up as well so this is something execute

thumbs can't speak today those are some things to keep in mind for you guys I

just wanted to kind of bring that to you because I want you to understand that

you should not you should not do some for sub it's gonna hurt your channel us

you know in the short term but especially in the long term okay so if

you liked that video please like the video it really helps the channel grow

comment and subscribe and I will see you guys tomorrow

Pain Don't Hurt - Endzeit - 19 - Now Pro Games - Duration: 24:20.

I'm glad you tuned in again. Welcome back to the Endzeit.

Have no fear, we are not so desperate, that we have to declare a Katamari Damacy as a Hidden Gem.

But it's about the studio that's behind that great game.

And this is not directly Namco.

The actual studio behind it is called NOW PRODUCTION.

They also did a Splatterhouse for big children,

and Splatterhouse for little children.

Rolling Thunder 2 and 3.

Almost every PC-Engine port of a Namco game.

Or Klonoa for the GBA.

Most of the time really good games.

Today we will have a look at a few a Games from them, that are not so well known.

The first Game from NOW PRO we will have a closer eye on is in Japan known as Tabemon.

In the west it is called The Munchables.

And it's basically the successor of Katamari and Pac Man.

It's really a fine Game, and a shame that it's not known better.

License Trash is approaching fast!

Also published by Activison. God have mercy on our soul!

Fortunately NOW PRO had here also a finger in the pie.

Transformers Prime for the Wii U is a well made Action Game.

And the last game for today is called Ikusagami,

published by Genki, and it's a Muso/Dynasty Warrior clone,

with a touch of Pikmin.

Allow me to tell you this much,

From a technical standpoint this one of the most impressive PS2 Games i know.

Then let's get started! \( ◠‿◠ )/

Our first Now Production game for today is even published by Namco.

But it's a shame that almost nobody remembered it today.

Also back then, it made no big bang when it was released for the Wii.

Crazy Shit! The intro shows rougly where the journey with the Munchables will take us.

In Japan it's is known as Tabemon.

And like Pokemon, It's a mixture of two words.

But with the difference that there are no Pocket Monster.

Tabe means EAT, so we are dealing with Eat-Monsters.

Disgusting, evil Aliens have taken all fruits, vegetable, sweets, all eatable,

obsessed and awakened to life. And now it's your job to take the law in your own hands.

To take back your home with your biggest weapon. You're appetite!

But thats easier said then done.

Cause you can only eat enemies that are lower or equal to your own level.

But you easily gain levels if you swallow more enemies, and you grow bigger and bigger.

Mmmhh? This formula sounds familiar?

Yep, this may be possible.

Tabemon is not the reinvention of the wheel.

But it's a beautiful mashup of two well known Namco games.

Who was Namcos biggest eater before Tabemon?

That's easy. Of coure it's Pac Man,

and if you eat more and more, and you grow bigger and bigger,

and you can only enemies kill that have the same level like you?

Of course, we now this exactly from Katamari Damacy.

Generally, the whole style from Tabemon is very, very much based on Katamari.

And by that i don't mean only the visual style. Also the music could just be from a not published Katamari.

Gameplay and leveldesign-wise it doesn't stop there, and also offers even more then Katamari.

Cause every of the 7, or was it 9 Levels, which each is split in 3 Stages,

is very rich in variety. And also each world has a special gimmick.

For a example, in this ghost mansion you have to find different keys like in Biohazard/Resident Evil.

And explore the whole level for secret passages.

Like the secret exit in this well, where another key is hidden.

Or before that in the underwater stage, you can only advance if you submerge with a heavy object.

Like an anchor. Till you finally reach the bottom of the sea.

Or check out the sweets factory.

It is a labyrinth with many switches , and platform elements.

They put a lot of effort into it.

What's interesting about the release back in 2009 for the Wii is,

in the same year did Keita Takahashi, the creator from Katamari Damacy made his own new game.

Noby Noby Boy for the PS3.

Which was hyped back then, as the true spiritual successor of Katamari.

But let's be honest, Noby Noby Boy wasn't a good game.

A game like Tabemon shows once more, you don't need a big name like Kojima to make a fantastic game

The Boss fights push the survival of the fittest gameplay to the top.

Just like here with our buddy Broco-Lee. You always start at Level 100,

but of course, the bosses are much bigger, and you can't swallow them wholely.

You have to tackle them at the right spot, and they start to loose there leaves and fruits.

If you eat the parts you grow bigger, till you can after all swallow the whole boss.

Pure genius!

To all you Wii-Haters with a Motion-Controll-Phobia, don't panic.

You can use any Classic Controller.

3 Buttons Arcade gameplay. Splendid.

The only thing bad i have to say about Tabemon,

is after the credits i realized that in 2017 and all the years before that,

was not a single game what points in this corner.

And by that, i don't mean that i want to stag up things an want to become bigger and bigger.

No! I mean these ridiculous funny and colorful games from Japan!

Space Channel 5, Parodius, PC-Genjin/Bonk

Games that shine from start to finish. Indie and Arcade Games can't achieve that.

With the focus to loot-boxes and random generated levels they destroy things i like.

For that reason:

TABEMON! GET IT! GREAT GAME!

Wicked! As far as i know this may be the only Now Production Game with it's own logo.

Well ... published by Activision. May god help us ヽ(゚Д゚)ノ.

It may look like the biggest piece of license crap,

but if a good developer stays behind that this could be actual good.

And you may know by now that i have a sweet spot for license game that are better than the first glance.

It's all about Transformers Prime for the Wuu and Wii.

And by the way, that's the first game i grabbing via HDMI.

As so often, i don't have much background knowledge about the franchise itself.

But the production value is not too shabby.

This feels like watching a Saturday morning cartoon.

Of course this is not for what we are here today,

all we want is a plain simple fan Action Game without much frills.

And in this department Transformers Prime does a good job.

At the core it is a 3D Brawler.

I don't want to go out on a limb, but gameplay wise it reminds me a little on God Hand.

You can do a little of exploring in a level, here and there is a item hidden.

But most of the time you smash enemies.

Every few stages there is a racing level for a change.

Which looks very promising at first glance. Fast paced, and you can shoot things like in Chase HQ.

But ...

I have to warn you, what they really messed up here are the controls.

On the Wii U you can only steer with the Gamepad's 3 axis motion controls.

The good thing is it's not too hard, but it feels like a waste of potential.

In every other normal level you have also the ability to transform into a vehicle.

It's the same as a dash move, and it works really well.

I haven't played Transformers Devastation from Platinum Games yet,

it was released after this,

but i reckon that they have this in common.

If i compare it with all the others Platinum Games that i know really well,

this plays more on the leisurely side.

If i relate it to the action and combos.

Don't get me wrong, i don't mean that negatively.

Firstly there are a lot of Transformers you can play, with different combos, and weapons.

If i have to compare this with a 16-Bit Mega Drive Game,

this would be something like Dick Tracy or Moonwalker.

Games that were mocked from the start, but didn't make too much wrong.

Here and there you can't overlook that there is some room fore improvement.

This canyon levels looks very familiar like the other before.

The level design and the enemies are new, but they just use the same assets at night.

There is noway you can't overlook the recycling.

The half-baked 4 Player Versus Mode doesn't excuse this either.

It is nice that you can unlock all the Decepticons, and also fly around with Star Scream.

Sadly there is only a 2 Player couch-co-op split screen mode available.

Gameplay wise we don't reach Power Stone regions.

The boss fights feel unusual for game like this.

Cause the Decepticons have almost the same move set like you.

It feels more like a Street Fighter or Tekken, in which you to counter and block a lot.

And use the mistakes of your enemies against them.

Nevertheless, or maybe because of that,

sometimes you don't want to get back into the complexity of a Vanquish or Ninja Gaiden.

Especially in between times it is a nice little solid game.

Especially for guys like us, who know "EVERYTHING" already ヽ(´~`;)

I can tell you already that much, Ikusagami as a game can step up to this quite nice intro.

It's hard to believe, but Ikusagami was published exclusively in Europe as Demon Chaos by Konami.

Now Production tries here vor the first time to make a Dynasty Warriors clone.

One against many! And by many i mean MANY!

I haven't the slightest clue how the achieved this on PS2

Even on the current generation of consoles, like PS4 or Xbox-One,

i don't know of a single Action Game where happens more stuff!

To put it simple,

It is beyond amazing what tricks they use to perform magic like this on the screen.

You don't slay through groups of 100 or 200 enemies like usual.

The body count counter don't lie!

Here you have slain in 20 seconds over a 1000 enemies! And there are still a lot of them standing foes around.

Capcom promoted Dead Rising 3 or 4 that you can fight against 20000 Zombies at the same time.

Her you can fight against 65.000!

That's INSANE! And this runs on a old flea-bitten PS2.

You just have look at all the ant-like red dots on the map.

It's very convenient that you can zoom out with one of the shoulder buttons.

Without that you can't cover much of your surroundings. The english title Demon Chaos is very fitting.

All hell breaks loose!

2000, 3000 kills. Will anyone offers more?

What's neat about Ikusagami, it don't rely completely on the chaos action.

It also tries to mix in a tactical element.

Now Productions borrows the tactical concept from another game.

In a way it resembles Pikmin.

In the battle field you have to rely on yourself, the opposite of Pikmin.

The allied armies are used to tear down doors,

or crystals witch spawn demons indefinitely like gates in Gauntlet.

You can't destroy such crystals or gates alone at all. You have to depend here on the allies.

One very important key gameplay element are these pillars.

For example, i just created a fire pillar here.

With one of these your friendlies are destroying any obstacle much faster.

Also you can fill up your special energy gauge here.

To be honest i didn't get this system at all with my JP version, so i checked out the PAL version.

Sadly it was 50hz only,

I tried to patch the PAL version to 60hz, but after that all the cutscenes had green artifacts (¬д¬)

Stay with the Japanese!

Just like the the big Koei role model,

there are tons of new weapons hidden in chests and breakable vases in every stage.

To be precise, there are 99 weapons you can get.

You don't have to fight all the way with your sword. There axes, hammer, or dual wielding weapons.

With these you also have new special moves, and your stats changes as well.

There is much to get long-term motivation-wise.

The biggest flaw is,

so innovativ and cool the Pikmin strategy part sounds like, it is not well implemented in the later stages.

The game flow suffers a lot.

It's because of your units. You can press L2 so they case you,

you can also give them simple commands, so they go to the next crystal,

but they are so incredible slow! Just look at them ...

This is no fun at all. You could slaughter 2000 foes instead.

Most of the levels are wide open for a strategic approach.

Here you have to take care of a back attack, while your troops guarding a general.

But in the end it doesn't work as you planned,

in the end you have to make the dirty work too, and guard everything by yourself.

A pity.

What also sucks is the AI. You can't expect that 2000 enemies attack individually at once.

But you can ask more for a mid or boss monster.

The boss here just attacks my units while i hit him defenseless in the back, till he dies.

This could be more fun.

Unfortunately, I can not give you a real buy recommendation for Ikusagami.

The combos are to monotonous,

the bosses are dumb as a brick,

and the Pikmin strategy element works not as well has you would wished for.

Even so, it is still damn impressive what Now Production here as a not so well know developer

marvelous made on an underpowered almost 20 years old console.

Who is tired of all the Dynasty Warriors Games, with all their Anime spinoffs,

will find something fun here.

Until the next time:

Top 10 Secret Superhero Powers You Didn't Know About - Duration: 10:23.

Hey guys!

Welcome back to top 10 nerd.

It's collab week, and we've got a very special guest joining us today-

Alright, I think it's time we get into this list.

the Top 10 secret superhero powers

you didn't know about.

10 The Hulk - Resistance to Telepaths Let's start this list off with the Hulk!

Hulk smash!

The hulk is known for being resistant to many things.

He's one of a small handful of superheroes who could actually survive a nuclear attack.

But aside from deadly radiation, what else can Bruce Banner's more brutal half endure?

Telepaths.

The Hulk is resistant to psychic probing from even the likes of Charles Xavier.

He's literal impenetrable on all fronts.

Not too shabby, you big green monster.

No mind control for you!

9 Iron Man - Suit Storage Another one on this list that many of you

may already be aware of - Tony Stark is capable of storing his Iron Man suit in his body.

For those of you who didn't know and are now trying to figure out the logistics of

how something like that is possible, here's how that works.

Tony has had many different variations of his suit over the years, and this ability

didn't kick in until he had developed his Extremis Armour.

Controlled by his thoughts, the suit is directly implanted in his body and stored in the hollow

portions of his bone, and is connected to his central nervous system.

It gets a bit more scientific than that, to be fair, and it's an ability that carried

over into later suits as well.

8 Wolverine - Lie Detection While it makes perfect sense that Wolverine

would have advanced superhuman abilities, like heightened smell and hearing, it may

be a surprise to a lot of you that he's capable of using those senses to detect when

someone is lying.

It's a little like Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock - he's able to notice the subtle

differences, like a change in heart beat.

The smell of sweat on a person's skin.

Or any other physical signs of panic.

7 Superman - Super math Getting into some Pre-Crisis fun times here,

it's no secret that the man of steel had a lot of strange powers that formed during

the silver age.

Super ventriloquism, super weaving, and of course, super mathematics.

Just tossing the word super in front of verbs eh?

Anyway, super math was essentially just him being real good with numbers.

He once counted how many beans were in a jar without using his x-ray vision.

Aside from pulling random numbers out of his butt, it's actually nothing that regular

mathematicians couldn't calculate off handedly.

6 Wonder Woman - can talk to animals Wonder Woman is a hero of many abilities.

But some of those powers in the past have been a tad superficial, to put it nicely.

From time to time, Diana has pulled an Aquaman and communicated with animals.

This even translated into the original Wonder Woman television show.

USE LINK EDITORS.

And, in the comics, it most memorably appears when Wonder Woman has a chat with some dinosaurs,

asking them kindly not to eat anyone.

5 The Flash - Speed Read

The Speed Force is a mighty entity, and it gives the members of the scarlet speedster

family the opportunity to pull off some pretty cool tricks.

In the Flash Volume 3 issue number 2, Barry Allen puts one of those cool abilities to

the test by re-constructing a building after speeding over to the library and speed reading

a ton of books on architecture.

Speed reading is something Bart Allen has shown us he's capable of too - and he actually

retains what he reads, while Barry Allen just keeps it in his short term memory.

4 Green Lantern - Soul Storage Getting into some dark territory here, let's

talk a little about the Green Lantern.

While this isn't something we've seen Hal Jordan or Kyle Rayner pull off, another

member of the Green Lantern corp has whipped this trick out.

When the world of Bolovax Vik was destroyed, the Green Lantern assigned to that sector,

Kilowog, stored all 16 billion of the souls who were almost lost during the destruction.

Talk about an immense use of will power!

3 Venom - Can Possess inanimate objects - agent venom

The Venom Symbiote has done some pretty neat stuff since it's first appearance in the

amazing spiderman 252 from 1984 when it tried to bond with spiderman as his black suit when

his was destroyed.

Venom has gone from villain to anti-hero, and during his time as Agent Venom aka Flash

Thompson, there's a moment when he's eluded by some criminals.

Who get away in a car.

So naturally he's like YEP I'M GONNA BOND WITH A CAR AND FUCK THESE GUYS UP.

Check it out in 2013's Venom #36.

2 Aquaman - Super Eyes Poor Aquaman.

He gets so much flack for just being him.

So what he can communicate with aquatic life?

Or that he chooses to wear bright orange scales as his costume?

He's still an incredibly impressive superhero, despite all the unnecessary bullying by fans.

Why's that?

Well, aside from his unreliable strength, speed and healing abilities, Aquaman has a

few tricks up his sleeves.

Or scales?

He's got tricks!

Like impeccable vision.

Humans are capable of visibility approximately 165-230 feet under water.

Being part atlantean, Aquaman has visibility up to about 36,000 feet.

And he's also capable of night vision.

1 Superman - He Can

Create Miniature Supermen Getting back to that whole terrible Superman

silver age powers tidbit that we mentioned before, in at this number we have an example

of one of Clark Kent's silly powers that likely won't be returning to panels or the

big screen anytime soon.

Back in 1958 in Superman number 125, the man of steel discovers what he calls a midget

space ship, and immediately deducts that it's owner must be from a tiny race of aliens.

The ship blows up, and gives Superman the ability to shoot tiny rays from his finger

tips.

Which he then realizes are actually tiny replicas of….himself.

Talk about narcissism in it's most direct form.

And for whatever reason, aside from his invulnerability, he's incapable of all his other powers,

and has to send out his miniature self to do all the crap he'd normally be able to

do but can't.

Everyone then goes around saying how cute it is and he gets all defensive and insecure

about it.

Long story short, he loses the power when the tiny manifestation sacrifices himself

to save Superman by jumping on top of a kryponite meteor.

Which kind of comes out of nowhere.

And then he gets all his powers back and everything fine except his mini alien self is most likely

dead.

But deus ex machina, right?

Awesome!

There we have it guys!

What was your favourite secret superhero power?

Which ones surprised you?

A comprehensive introduction into the Roon music cataloguing and streaming program - Duration: 24:53.

The Roon system for cataloguing and playing music seems to be a difficult to understand

concept to many.

Others, including me, consider it to be the best streaming software around.

Let's see if I can shine some light on it.

Roon, basically, is a music player for Windows, Apple and Linux Computers.

It differs from other solutions in a number fields though, which we will discuss throughout

this video.

Let's start with the simplest of setups - a stand alone setup - and end up with a

big multi room, multi user system with central server and a different quality of audio in

every room varying from ghetto blaster level to the highest of high-end.

Roon has a super fast user interface and a metadata service and presentation that equals

of succeeds the vinyl album cover experience.

But let's start at the beginning with the simplest setup: on a laptop that contains

your music and is connected to your stereo using the headphone output.

It could of course also be a desktop, but let's settle for the laptop right now.

We immediately come across the first point where it differs from other programs: it has

relatively high system demands for an audio player: the processor needs to be an Intel

Core i3 Ivy Bridge or better.

Which means the laptop should have been produced mid 2013 or later.

Then it needs 4 gigabytes of RAM, an SSD boot drive and a screen resolution of 1440 by 900.

It might run Windows 7 or later, Mac OS 10.8 or later or recent x86 Linux 64 bit versions.

The laptop also needs to be connected to the web over wifi or network cable.

Let's be honest, these are relatively steep specs for a music player but not really for

a modern laptop.

What you now need to do is go to roonlabs.com, register and download the correct version

for your hardware.

If you want to do a test run with Roon, try the promo code below here.

You can also find it in the show notes.

If still valid, you will be granted a two month trial period.

Otherwise you could test drive Roon for a 2 week period.

You could also subscribe right away.

When producing this video prices were 119 euros annual or 499 euros for a Lifetime membership.

The membership allows you to use the Roon Core - the part that does the indexing and

metadata - on one computer but you can playback over unlimited "endpoints" or rooms if

you would prefer that name.

I'll get back to this.

Then you install the software, enter the provided user name and access code and follow the instructions

on the screen.

You will be asked where your music is - if you use iTunes you could use the iTunes information

- and what audio output you want to use.

That, for now, is the sound card in your laptop.

The Roon user interface will show up and Roon will start indexing your music map.

If you use iTunes or any other music program, don't fear it won't be usable anymore.

Roon just makes its own index of your music on the SSD and will not make any changes to

the music folder.

So you could use iTunes or for instance JRiver, Foobar, MusicBee, Audirvana Amarra or any

other program along with Roon.

Even at the same time as long as you don't want to use the same sound card for both programs

simultaneously.

Roon also contacts the RoonLabs server over the internet to check for updates and check

your user account.

It then starts searching if more information on the albums and musicians is available.

It does that at an easy pace in the background so you can keep using your computer and internet

connection for other things too.

It also means that the first time it can take up to some days before Roon is ready indexing

and updating the metadata.

Roon presents itself with the user interface on the screen of the laptop.

It is the most intuitive interface I know - although this of course is personal.

See the review of Roon for more details, the link is in the show notes.

If the laptop is close to the stereo and not close to your listening position, you might

use a smartphone or tablet to control Roon on the laptop.

Android version 4.4 and iOS version 8.0 or later are required.

Windows Tablets, like the Surface 3 and Surface 3 Pro are also supported.

The Roon Knowledge Base has more specific info.

You can use as many tablets and smartphones as you like for controlling the laptop and

depending on the hardware you might even be able to control the volume or use the smart

device for playback itself.

If you have a compatible device for playback elsewhere in the house, you could also control

that from the laptop or smart device.

For instance, a Sonos speaker, Airplay speaker, Squeezebox or Roon Ready device elsewhere

in the house can be sent music to from your laptop.

Depending on the playback device this can be in the original resolution but if necessary

high-res files will be downsampled automatically.

Or, in plain english, you don't have to bother with anything.

Just point where you want the music to be played and it will.

Regardless.

You might get an idea of how versatile this is by looking at what I have connected to

my Roon system.

Several Apple Airplay compatible devices, an Elac Discovery offering three outputs,

an iMac running Roon remote control software, a Raspberry Pi running Kodi - which I don't

use for music by the way - a Sonos Connect, the RoonReady SOtM sMS-200 Ultra grouped together

with the RaspTouch, A Yamaha active speaker and a Yamaha streamer and two Raspberry Pi's

running RoPieee RoonBridge software.

Each of these can be sent a unique music stream or be combined if they use the same streaming

technique.

So all Airplay devices can be grouped, all Sonos devices can be grouped and all RoonReady

devices can be grouped.

But you can't group an Airplay device with a Sonos device and so on.

But lets step one step back.

Up till now we presumed you would use a laptop.

But what if you own a desktop computer?

Or if your significant other doesn't like the laptop lying around in the living?

Well, you now know you could place the laptop in the study or even in the attic as long

as there is a network connection.

It can feed the audio over the network to compatible 'Endpoints', as mentioned earlier.

You might also use a desktop computer in stead of the laptop to run the Roon Core on.

Perhaps now is the right time to talk about the individual parts the Roon software is

made of.

Let's take my automatic espresso machine as metaphor.

it is made up of a water reservoir, a boiler, a coffee grinder, a pressure group and a waste

basket for the used coffee grounds.

All these parts are in one place: the espresso machine.

But there are people that use a separate grinder, then manually put the right amount of ground

into the portafilter, mount it in the holder of the espresso machine and pull a lever to

manually generate pressure that forces the water through the coffee ground.

Then the coffee is ready and only the portafilter needs to be emptied in a waste bin.

In other words: a full automatic espresso machine contains all the parts needed while

the manual machine has several functions divided over several appliances.

Now, with an espresso machine this is easily understood, since there are all kinds of easily

identifiable functions to be seen.

With software - and Roon software in particular - its functions can also be in different places

and that might - to some - be less easily identifiable.

As I said before, it is the 'core' that indexes the music, completes the metadata

and sends the music bits to whatever is defined as the audio output as instructed by the user

interface.

A license allow you to use only one installation of the Roon Core at one time.

Now if you have a holiday house in the south of France and you want to have a second music

computer there, you can use the same license but when you do, the Roon Core at home is

temporarily disengaged.

In our example of the laptop not only the core was running on it but also the user interface

and the audio interfacing or the 'Control app' and 'Outputs' in the Roon lingo.

But if you prefer to control Roon from an app on a smart device, like a tablet, you

could have downloaded the Core-only installation program - called Roon Server - to only install

the core software on the laptop.

On a laptop that doesn't make sense but if you have a computer that will never be

used for music reproduction but can run the Roon Core, it might.

And if you're like me, you could use the tiny Intel NUC computer and run the special

version of the Roon core, named ROON Rock, on it.

I made a three part video on how to set it up, the link is in the show notes.

Whatever you choose, the result will be the same.

Only the number of streams that can be processed and sent might vary depending on the computer

used.

But that's only relevant for people that want to simultaneously use many streams.

My 6th Gen i3 NUC can handle at least 15 streams, then I ran out of endpoints.

It is the Roon Core that needs all the processing power and fast SSD drive and only for fast

searches and selections, ultrafast data provision to the Control app, conversion when needed

for endpoints that support only lower sampling rates and all kinds of DSP functionality that

can optionally be used.

Reading the music bits from the storage device appears to be not critical at all.

A USB 2 drive will almost always be sufficient.

I use a USB3 drive connected to the Intel NUC computer the Roon Core is running on.

An internal drive obviously will work too.

But if you like, you can store the music on another computer and share that to the computer

running the Core.

Or use a NAS.

Roon uses a very robust network approach but keep in mind that a network connection can

be disrupted by other users, for instance when they start watching videos.

Using a hard disk directly attached to the computer running the Roon Core is the safest

and the cheapest option.

In the laptop example, the core, the control app and the output software were automatically

installed.

But if you install Roon on a second computer, using the same Roon installation software,

it will detect the Roon Core on the network and ask you if you want to install the control

app only or have its own core installed -which would need its own payed subscription.

Since it doesn't make sense to have a second Roon Core running, you just install the control

app and no extra subscription is needed.

If you choose this option, the audio output software - also called bridge - is installed

too.

On this second computer you can play music from the Roon core computer but you can also

connect to other rooms and send music there.

As said, these 'rooms' are called endpoints in Roon lingo.

Every device that is able to play music sent to it by Roon, is called an Endpoint.

To make things easier to understand, lets divide the endpoints into three groups: computer

outputs, RoonReady and others.

The computer speakers or audio equipment connected to the computer will automatically be available

when the complete Roon installation, the Roon Core or the Roon Control app is installed.

If you do want to use a computer as an endpoint but it doesn't run the core and you need

not control it from the computer, you can install the Roon Bridge software.

The computer will then present itself to Roon as an Endpoint only.

So the Roon Bridge software effectively makes that computer a Roon Ready device.

Roon Ready devices use the Roon Advanced Audio Protocol that is far more advanced than what

the competition uses.

It is very robust, contains metadata to be displayed on the endpoint and has bidirectional

control signals.

It is also unlimited as where the audio format, sampling rate and depth is concerned.

If that's abracadabra for you, simply remember it currently is the most advanced protocol

that will play almost any file that contains music.

Even more important is that - since RoonLabs doesn't produce audio equipment - there

are many brands that support the Roon Protocol, from the Bluesound streamers at about 500

euros to a Brinkmann DAC costing almost 20 grand.

From the Raspberry Pi with the appropriate free software to the dCS DAC's costing tens

of thousands.

See the roonlabs.com site for a comprehensive list.

It is important to know that - given the computer Roon Core is running on works as it is intended

- the sound quality is defined by the endpoint chosen and not the Roon software.

Of course, cables, power supply and other audiophile tweaks can have their influence

but it is highly unlikely the Roon Core computer has any influence on the sound.

Unless it is directly connected to your stereo using analogue or digital outputs or USB.

Then there can be large differences between computers due to imperfections in the clock

signals en power lines.

Here it is the computer hardware - again, not the Roon software - that depends the audio

quality.

But if you use the network to send audio to the endpoint, it will be that endpoint that

defines the quality and not the computer the Core is running on.

Again, provided it runs the Core software as intended.

It might be clear that an endpoint made of a Raspberry Pi with SPDIF board, fed from

the standard wall wart power supply, will not provide a clean digital signal.

Polluted and /or distorted digital signals are more difficult to convert to analogue

signals.

I frequently get nasty remarks from people that think that - for instance - an SPDIF

signal is a digital signal.

It's not, it is an analogue representation of a digital signal and distortion of that

analogue signal will change the timing of the bits on the receiving side.

In audio technology, repairing those timing errors appear to be far more difficult than

basic electronics suggest.

Since there effectively is no time for repair.

If you want to know how digital signals can be distorted, see Connecting your DAC number

2; how digital can go wrong.

The link is in the show notes.

If you already have a digital to analogue converter to use with your current streamer

or to improve your cd-player, you can use a so called networked audio adaptor.

That can be a raspberry Pi running RoonBridge software or - if you want better quality - products

like the Sonore microRendu or SOtM sMS-200 family of devices.

You could also use a device that combines the digital to analogue conversion with RoonBridge

hard- and software.

A good example is the Bluesound line of streamers that can use their own software but can also

function as Roon Endpoint.

The streamer only will set you back 549 euros.

The Auralic Aries Mini is only 499 euros and also works with their own software or function

as Roon endpoint.

They both have analogue line outputs that can be connected directly to the CD or AUX

input of your amp.

They also have digital outputs that can be connected to the SPDIF inputs of an amp with

digital inputs or to a digital to analogue converter.

More upmarket you could go for products by Audio Alchemy, Audionet, Auralic, Ayre, Bel

canto, Brinkman, Cocktail Audio, Elac, IQaudiO, Krell NAD, Oppo, SOtM, PS-Audio and many others.

Roonlabs wants to be the software for as many brands as possible.

therefore they have contacted and negotiated with many brands for RoonReady support in

their devices.

For rapid acceptation they wanted to get as many brands as possible on board.

With Squeezebox this was impossible since it is in production no more.

But luckily Logitech has kept the software as open source so that RoonLabs could build

their own support.

Therefore all Squeezeboxes work fine with Roon, as do Raspberry Pi computers running

Squeezebox emulation software.

Where the original Squeezebox was limited to 48 kHz sampling, newer models support up

to 96 kHz while an open source tweak is supposedly abel to open it up for 192 kHz.

The emulators on Raspberry Pi do it all without further trouble.

The big players in the low end of the market are Apple with Airplay and Sonos.

There brands were not interested in supporting Roon so Roon developed their own interfacing

with products of both brands.

Apple's Airplay still remains limited to 48 kHz, despite the rumour Apple would introduce

higher sampling rates.

And also Sonos remains limited to a maximum of 48 kHz sampling frequency.

If your stereo has some class, the low sampling rates might be a limiting factor if you own

high res audio files or are subscribed to a streaming service that offers high resolution

audio.

Apart from the lower audio quality the music will simply play since Roon knows the limits

of the endpoints and converts the music on the fly to a lower sampling rate.

That is also true for those RoonReady endpoints that support only lower sampling rates.

If you want to play DSD files on an endpoint, again Roon will automatically convert them

to what that endpoint can handle.

The only thing to take into account is that converting from DSD to PCM or vice versa does

take a fair amount of computing power and might limit the number of streams you can

send out simultaneously.

So if you want to send tens of streams, keep that in the back of your mind and make sure

the computer the Roon Core is running on, is sufficiently powerful.

When Bluesound added RoonReady to all their players - including the series that already

was discontinued at that time - some people thought that when they bought a Bluesound

player, it would offer all the Roon functionality.

You now know that it needs the Roon Core installed on a computer plus a subscription.

The Bluesound player can only function as an 'endpoint' in an existing Roon setup.

But, hey, you got that functionality for free.

And if you want to upgrade, it is already able to work with Roon.

Th Elac Discovery is a different story all together, for it does contain a 'light'

version of Roon, called Roon Essentials.

So this is a small and silent computer running the Roon Essentials Core and it comes with

a lifetime subscription - lifetime meaning the lifetime of the Elac Discovery.

If it dies or is passed on to another, the license also dies or is passed on with the

Discovery to the new owner.

The Discovery also has three endpoints integrated: two separate analogue stereo outputs and a

separate digital output on RCA and TOSlink.

Since it is a 'light' version of Roon, it does have some limitations: it is limited

to indexing a maximum of 30.000 tracks, to send out a maximum of 8 program streams, does

not support the Squeezebox, has no separate composer screen and some other small differences

that makes it less interesting for the streaming fanatic.

But for the average music lover it is a very affordable way of having most of the nice

things of Roon, including a dedicated computer and player in a small housing for only 1100

euro.

You find links to the review and update review in the show notes.

So there is some kind of program called a Roon Core that indexes the music collection,

completes the metadata and sends music to a local output and/or to endpoints over the

network.

This program is often combined with a user interface where you can read the metadata

and instruct the core to send music to one or more endpoints.

It needs to run on a computer and that computer can also be used as control and endpoint but

not necessarily.

You could use your normal computer for it or run it on a dedicated computer, like an

Intel NUC.

You always need a subscription costing 119 euros per year or 499 euros for a lifetime

subscription unless you go for the - slightly limited but very affordable - one box solution

called Elac Discovery, that comes with a lifetime subscription coupled to all the hardware you

need.

If you are only slightly interested, use the promocode in the show notes for a two month

It is also very hard to go back from Roon to other software so be aware of that if you

consider to do a trial.
