Youtube daily report w Nov 5 2017

As America gets ready for their upcoming Super Bowl parties (or Royal Rumble party, if that's

your thing), Cheez Whiz – the yellowish-orange, gooey, bland tasting "cheese" product

– will surely make an appearance at some of them.

But what is Cheez Whiz?

Why did get it invented?

And is there really cheese in Cheez Whiz?

James L. Kraft was born in 1874 in Stevensville, Ontario on a dairy farm.

When he was 28 years old, he immigrated to the United States, where he first chose Buffalo,

New York to settle in.

(Where a little over a half century later another common Super Bowl snack, the Buffalo

Wing, was born.)

Why he chose Buffalo (well over two hundred miles from his home in Ontario) over Detroit

(under fifty miles away from Stevenson) isn't known.

In fact, there seems to be no real record at all of why Kraft went to Buffalo.

But most important to this story, while there, he eventually invested in a small cheese company.

He quickly rose up through the company and was invited to move to Chicago to run the

cheese company's branch there.

After moving to Chicago, the company either went under or the heads of the company pushed

Kraft out (records are conflicting as to what exactly happened there).

Either way, Kraft was left stranded in Chicago, reportedly with little money (perhaps lending

credence to the "went under" theory) and no job.

Using his meager remaining funds, he bought a horse (named Paddy) and a carriage.

For the next few months before dawn every day, he would take Paddy and the carriage

down to the wholesale market on Chicago's Water Street and buy blocks of cheese in bulk.

He would then sell it to the shop owners around town at marked up prices.

His reasoning was that he was doing the hard part for them- finding and buying the cheese

and then bringing it directly to the shop owners- and that was worth the markup.

He was right.

Within five years, Kraft's business was successful enough that four of his brothers

from Canada were able to come to Chicago and help James build his new cheese company.

By 1914, they had incorporated as J.L. Kraft & Bros Company.

That same year, they opened their first cheese factory in Stockton, Illinois.

The next year, in 1915, they changed the cheese game.

While Kraft was the first to receive a US patent for processed cheese, he wasn't the

first to invent it.

Walter Gerber and Fritz Stettler of Switzerland in 1911 experimented with their native Emmentaler

cheese to see if they could increase the shelf life of cheese for export purposes.

Their experiments included shredding, heating the cheese up to various temperatures, and

mixing it with sodium citrate (still used as a food additive today) to produce a "homogenous

product which firmed upon cooling."

It is unclear if Kraft knew of these Swiss gentlemen, but, in 1916, he submitted for

US Patent 1186524, which was titled "Process of sterilizing cheese and an improved product

produced by such process."

In it, it describes a way, "to convert cheese of the Cheddar genus into such condition that

it may be kept indefinitely without spoiling, under conditions which would ordinarily cause

it to spoil, and to accomplish this result without substantially impairing the taste

of the cheese."

It goes on to explain the process of slicing, heating, and stirring cheddar cheese in great

detail, how it needed to be heated to 175 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes while being

whisked continuously.

The patent never mentions the addition of a sodium additive or "emulsifiers" (be

it sodium citrate like the Swiss or a more general sodium phosphate).

This likely is due to the fact that patents are, of course, public and whatever Kraft

added to the mix, he probably wanted to keep it a secret from the competition, a fairly

common practice in the food industry.

This was the birth of commercialized processed cheese.

Kraft's revolutionary new cheese product couldn't have come at a better time for

him, at least business-wise.

When the United States entered World War I in 1917, there was a need for food products

that would last and could be shipped long distances.

By packing his cheese into 3-1/2 and 7-3/4 ounce tins, Kraft was able to become the cheese

supplier to the US Army, earning himself a huge payday and a whole generation of soldiers

trying out his cheese.

Flash forward about twenty five years, to 1952.

Kraft Cheese, besides now having changed the name, was also now the number one cheese seller

in the United States.

(At the time, they were also selling other dairy products and even candy.)

America was in the middle of the post-war economic boom and at the beginning of the

"convenience culture," when products that made life easier were highly sought after,

which also gave rise to the TV Dinner.

Towards this end, just two years before this, in 1950, Kraft developed a revolutionary convenience-oriented

product, pre-sliced, pre-packaged cheese – the famous "Kraft Single."

It was around this time that Kraft Cheese was doing great business in Britain, thanks

to having sent processed cheese off to World War II with the allied soldiers.

This bring us to a popular English dish called Welsh rarebit, which is basically a hot, melted

cheddar cheese sauce poured over toasted bread – think an open-faced grilled cheese.

While delicious, the cheese sauce is actually rather labor-intensive to make, requiring

much time and careful stirring.

Kraft, trying to appease their British customers, asked their team of food scientists led by

Edwin Traisman (who would later help McDonald's flash fry their french fries) to come up with

a faster alternative for this cheese sauce.

After a year and half of experimentation, they did.

Cheez Whiz was introduced in Britain in 1952, and soon after across the United States.

Given its reputation, it might surprise you to learn that Cheez Wiz was, in fact, originally

made with quite a bit of real cheese.

However, very recently, this changed.

In 2013, Michael Moss, a writer for the National Post (a Canadian national newspaper), spoke

with Dean Southworth, a member of Traisman's team at Kraft in the 1950s that helped develop

Cheez Whiz.

Southworth, a huge fan of the original Cheez Whiz, said that the original was, "a nice

spreadable, with a nice flavor.

And it went well at night with crackers and a little martini.

It went down very, very nicely, if you wanted to be civilized."

However, in 2001, he settled down for a "civilized" evening of one of his favorite snacks- crackers,

martini, and Cheez Whiz that he had purchased from the store that day.

Upon spreading the Whiz onto a cracker and taking a bite, he said he exclaimed to his

wife, "My God, this tastes like axle grease!"

Something had radically changed in this jar of Cheez Whiz from the last he had purchased.

Indeed, when he looked at the ingredients list, he saw as you'll still see today-

Cheez Whiz sold in the United States does not explicitly list cheese in the ingredients

anymore.

Rather, if you look, you'll see 27 other ingredients, including whey (a protein byproduct

of milk, the liquid left after the milk has been curdled and strained), corn syrup, and

milk protein concentrate (a cheaper alternative to higher-priced powdered milk).

When Moss and Southworth approached a Kraft spokeswoman about this in 2013, she told them

there was actually still cheese in the Whiz, though much less than there was before.

When asked just how much real cheese was still included in the product, she declined to comment.

She claimed the reason cheese wasn't listed on the ingredients anymore was because the

label already listed the necessary parts of processed cheese (i.e. milk, sodium phosphate,

cheese cultures), therefore no need for "cheese" to be explicitly stated.

At the end of the conversation, she explained, "We made adjustments in dairy sourcing that

resulted in less cheese being used.

However, with any reformulation, we work hard to ensure that the product continues to deliver

the taste that our consumers expect."

Mr. Southworth, of course, didn't care for the new taste.

In the end, the use of some of the ingredients of cheese, rather than cheese itself, has

some business benefits.

As Southworth said, "I imagine it's a marketing and profit thing.

If you don't have to use cheese, which has to be kept in storage for a certain length

of time in order to become usable… then you've eliminated the cost of storage, and

there is more to the profit center."

Camaleon Bassoons in Rehearsal: "The MASP Concert" - Duration: 15:30.

- You look terrible, Fu (Alexandre)

- I'm just filming, man

- But you look so ugly with the GoPro in the head.

(Fu) - People won't see my face...

(Filipe) - You look like a miner worker!

Let's follow the set list?

- What's the set list, Fu?

- It starts with Bach...

- Ok, Bach and them? Piazzola?

Alexey Chashnikov - Photographer, snooker champion and violinist in his free time

(Alexandre) - Let's rehearse people, for God's Sake! (Filipe) - Ok, Fu! Let's start

(Alexey) - Will you play too, Alexandre?

- Are you ready?

- Now let's play without repetition. At the concert, with repetition.

- The first Bach? - Yes, the first one

- I'll always count.

- Wait...

- It's in tuning, isn't it? it's not bad...

- The recorder is too close from me. - What?

(Fu)- Probably It's making my sound too loud...

(Filipe) - It's sounding good, Formiga

(Formiga) - It's not too bright?

(Filipe) - No. It sounds good!

(Filipe) - Will you start the rallentando that early?

(Fu) - What?

(Romeu) - We go with him...

(Fu) - One thing that bothers me is the bar 6, we do too much rallentando there.

- Bar 6?

- Yes

(Fu) - Bar 6 shouldn't be rallentando, it doesn't make sense.

(Formiga) - Ok, let's take from 52 until the end.

(Filipe) - No, he's talking about bar 6, on the top.

(Romeu) - Let's take from bar 4

- 4... Ok!

- Without rallentando...

- 5!

(Romeu) - Before we're playing this much louder, but now is too soft...

(Fu) - I'm trying to be not too loud...

(Arion) - I'm Afraid

(Romeu) - No! I think we should play the end loud. Again.

- Except for Arion, because he is playing the 3rd of the chord.

"Pinacoteca - 7 sounding paintings"

- Let's play...

- The beginning of Sion's piece.

(Formiga) - In the beginning, the tempo is too unstable to start to play

- It's hard to me to know when I should start to play...

...between bars 7 - 10

- Let's take from bar 7, before you entrance

(Arion) - No, from the begin, so I can find my entrance too

(Romeu) - But it was ok, I think.. (Formiga) - We need to find the swing

(Filipe) - Allright, let's take bar 7.

(Romeu) - Ok, bar 7!

(Formiga) - Ok! It's important to keep the swing, it makes easy to play together

(Filipe) - Yes, it's true...

(Fu) - Let's play "Ventania"?

(Romeu) - Ok, We can play it...

(Romeu) - And about "Crianças", do you think we need to rehearse it?

(Fu) - "Ventania" only...

(Filipe) - They have always played in different positions.

(Fu) - It's true!

(Romeu) - It's true! Arion should be on the left side.

(Romeu) - Arion sat there, and Formiga said nothing...

(Formiga) - I saw it, but..whatever..why? It sounds different?

(Arion) - It's so bad? (Filipe) - No, I don't see any problem...

(Romeu) - No guys, let's do our traditional position. (Arion) - Ok!

(Filipe) - It's no difference for me... (Romeu ) - No, let's play in the way that we always played.

(Formiga) - ok! (Romeu) - For Piazolla yes, we change the positions

(Fu) - Can I sit outside the stage?

(Romeu) - I would like to know if I can go home!

(Filipe) - Yes, give me you money and you can go ...I'll play flute.

(Fu) - This is terrible to play!

(Romeu) - Let's play " aos pés da Cruz"

(Formiga) - The "aos pés da Cruz" is.... (Romeu) - aos pés da Cruz it's good to rehearse too...

- Let's play, from the end of my cadence:

- This D sounds very ugly on contra...

- How about to rehearse Piazzola? Maybe just once...

- We need to check Piazzola...

(Formiga) - Or Maybe... (Fu) - Donna Lee? Bernstein?

(Formiga) - Yes, Bernstein!

(Formiga) - Let's do in the order, Bernstein and Donna Lee, then Filipe go out and we rehearse Piazzola

- One , two...

(Filipe) - The beginning we weren't together...

(Formiga) - Do you want to rehearse the beginning? (Filipe) - Yes, because it was not good...

(Alexey) It was out of tune! "C- C - C"

- your C was out of tune!

(Filipe) - Tune in!! (Fu) - Where? Which C?

(Arion) - Over there... (Fu) In the end??

(Formiga) - Where? (Fu) - Letter "M"

(Filipe) - "M"...of monkey

(Formiga) I play "E"

(Alexey) - No, it was in another place... (Romeu ) - It was before the flute?

(Alexey) - yes, before the flute

(Formiga) - In the beginning there are some Cs (Filipe) - It's in the beginning ...

(Romeu) - Let's play from the beginning (Fu) - Ok!

(Fu) - Can I start? - Yes

And when everything seemed fine...

Alexey tried to sabotage us kicking our recorder. Lucky of us the recorder is made of plastic!

(Fu) - He kicked the recorder! (Romeu) - No, almost!

(Romeu) - It could have been much worst!

(Formiga) - The recorder could have ended off the stage.

(Fu)- Mamma mia...

(Fu) - Don't touch it Alexey...

(Alexey) - I'm sorry!

- What else, guys? - Donna lee

- Let's cancel it...

- Man, I can't play this... never

- I can't!

- It's too difficult...

(Arion) - The recording was good Alexandre? (Fu) - Yes, I think so...

(Romeu) - How do we sound, Alexey? (Alexey) - What?

(Romeu) - How do we sound?

(Alexey) - Sorry...I didn't hear you...

- Alexey, are you violinist or not??

- That makes sense...he only hears the higher frequencies....

IELTS Grammar Future Tenses WILL/ BE GOING TO - Duration: 6:15.

e-fluentenglish.com Welcome, I'm Cleona. In this video we're going to look at the

difference between two future tenses in English. will / be going to

Do you know the difference? Can you tell me what you will do tomorrow or next week or

what you are going to do tomorrow or next week? What's the difference?

Think about it. On the left, you have five reasons why you should use the future

tense with WILL. 1. to make decisions that are made at the time of speaking.

(Imagine I'm speaking now. I've just made a decision, so I use WILL.)

2. to state a fact about the future. (A fact = you are sure about it.)

3. to make a promise. 4. to make a prediction.

5. with words like 'I think', 'I guess', 'I hope'

'probably', 'possibly' = WILL. On the right side you can see two

examples of when you use BE GOING TO. For example, 'I am going to ...', 'He is going to ...',

'We are going to ...'. So, you have to conjugate the verb BE.

1. a future event that has been planned before the time of speaking. (I planned it last night I

planned it last Friday, and I'm speaking now. So, I already had this plan.)

2. to make a future prediction based on

facts and evidence.

(This means that you've looked carefully at the facts and you've considered what

you think is going to happen in the future. You make a prediction, but it has

a foundation. You've looked at the evidence.) ** Stop the video.

Listen to my explanations again and try to get a picture in your head, try to visualise

when you use WILL and when you use BE GOING TO to talk about the future.

Let's look at some sample sentences. I'm going to read them out loud.

You can practise my pronunciation, copy my pronunciation, put in the word WILL or BE GOING TO.

Which one sounds right? Then go through the reasons why you use one or the other.

I'll put the link in the description below this video.

You can continue doing the examples. 1. My brother ................ 45 in October.

Which sounds correct? 'My brother will be 45 in October' or

'My brother is going to be 45 in October'? Look at the rules. We follow the rules, but also what sounds right.

What have you heard people saying? 2. The phone is ringing and I'm

in the shower Don't worry Mark I ............. for you.

(In this example, the verb is ANSWER. Do I say 'I will answer it for you'? or

'I'm going to answer for you.' If it's a telephone mmm I would put in 'it'.

Which one sounds correct and which rule am I using? Your turn! Go to the description

below the video, get the link with lots more examples. You can write your answers

in the comments box below. Thanks for listening. In the IELTS Speaking Test,

the examiner will be listening to how you use the future tense. In the Speaking

Test, you will have to use the present / past / future tenses .

Practise! Check out my e-Course Video Packs for IELTS speaking.

This is MC8 IELTS Speaking (Part 1) See you next time!

2018 Porsche Cayenne S Fahrbericht / Der Porsche für alle Fälle (ENGLISH Subtitles) - Autophorie - Duration: 14:00.

Hello and a warm welcome to a new Autophorie Review

We showed you the car serval times already but we were never allowed to drive

But now it's time to drive the all-new Porsche Cayenne

And here it is the third generation of the Porsche Cayenne (internally called E3)

Fun fact: as the Cayenne first appeared in 2002

Even inside the Porsche brand people weren't sure about what to think about the first ever SUV

However the Cayenne is essential to the brand now

The Cayenne combines three cars in one

Therefore also the design has changed (a bit)

First of all the Cayenne should be a sportscar as Porsche is a sportscar manufacturer promising dynamic

His second ability should be driving offroad

And the third ability should be about traveling long distance like a sedan

Let's start with the front fascia where the hood / nose leans toward the ground

That indicates the sporty character of the Cayenne and let's it appear lighter

Yet the front fascia is a high profile with a wide and big grille

Standard with the all-new Cayenne are LED-headlamps

Yet these are the optional Matrix-LED headlights

The all-new Cayenne is longer, a bit wider and lower than its predecessor

That gives the car a sportier look and relieves him of a heavy-SUV-Look

There is the slight declining roofline yet not too much

As a standard the all-new Cayenne comes with bigger wheels at the rear than the front, 19inch is standard

However our test car has the optional very good looking 21inch wheels

Maybe you recognized it already by yourself maybe not

The Cayenne features very less plastics around the body, just in the lower department to protect the car from scratches and stones when driving off road

Therefore the clean look stays undisturbed

The wide hunches that make a Porsche a Porsche stay with the Cayenne

But the big difference to its predecessor is the big light band around the back that connects the taillights

And the Porsche label is in between behind glass

By looking at the Cayenne S label you may already know which car we're driving today

And connected to the Cayenne S are these four tailpipes

The trunk can fit 770 liters of luggage up to 1,710 liters

However the Cayenne Turbo fits around 30 liters less of luggage inside the trunk

The base price of the Cayenne is around 74.000 EUR (Germany)

The Cayenne S like ours starts at around 91.000 EUR (Germany)

And of course the is the Cayenne Turbo with a base price of around 138.000 EUR (Germany)

For all of you that are not interested in either one of those three engines

You may calm a bit and wait for at least two more engine options

Let's start with the engine of the Cayenne S which you may already know from other reviews

It is the 2.9-Liter V6 Biturbo with 440hp and 550Newtonmeters of torque

And that engine puts the Cayenne right there in the sport segment of SUV models

All engines are mated to an 8-speed-automatic gearbox

Why not the PDK? Because the Cayenne is likely used for towing up to 3.5 tonnes

Also the Cayenne is more likely to be used offroad, therefore the automatic is more tough than a PDK

All Cayenne models have up to 240mm ground clearance

And with that can wade through water up to 525 mm and the ramp angle is over 21 degrees

Later on we take a close look at the new off road modes in the PCM

Yet I wanted to add the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control

Which works by an 48-Volt-System only applied in the Cayennes ordered with the optional PDCC

Up to 0.8g lateral acceleration the Cayenne can stay smoothly in balance

Therefore the anti-roll-bar is cut in half

With that the Cayenne diminishes rolling

To sum up the all-new Cayenne is more dynamic than ever

To all those people that think the Cayenne is not a real Porsche

The all-new Cayenne not only features the lighter battery of the 911 GT3 (which saves 10kgs)

Not only do we have the mixed tire size but also the active rear steering as an option

Up to 80kph the active rear steering reduces the the turning cycle by more than 0.5 meters

And above that increases high speed stability

Now we want to show you the all-new Cayenne from the inside

Yes it looks a bit like the panamera Interieur but it is not

Yet there are differences that are special and unique to the Porsche Cayenne

For starters the grab handle around the center console are and will always be unique to the Cayenne

Compared to the Panamera the center console itself differs in the design shape towards the big screen

The general design in the all-new Cayenne is all very clean and in our case very black

The leather seats in our case are perforated and the design shapes through horizontal lines

Also the dashboard is completely wrapped in leather and there is also leather-wrapping in the doors

Other materials are the high-gloss finish in the dashboard and the center console

And there are different options of trim strips like this aluminium one that looks kind of carbon-like

So all in all the Interieur is very plain, functional and elegant

Above the center console awaits the 12.3 inch touchscreen which controls more or less everything

For instance there's wifi on board, we did an entire video just on the new PCM

New to the Cayenne is the enhanced voice control (online connected) that not only understands standard controls

But also commands like "I'm too hot' that applies to the air conditioning

Behind the steering wheel there is a analog rev counter and two 7 inch screens

Not only by voice but also by some commanding buttons on the steering wheel can the Cayenne be operated

Or the (touch based) center console

Shortly noted at this point, the word "E-Power" which is not enlightened in our case

And that hints an upcoming Plug-in Hybrid Version of the all-new Cayenne

Let's start with the rear compartment of the all-new Cayenne

by looking at my driver position (1.80m height) there is absolutely no issue at that

Also above my head there is more than enough space and a nice view through the optional panoramic roof

Yet there are also comfort features in the rear which are not only heated seats or the 4-Zone-air conditioning

But also ventilated rear seats

And those two can also charge up the smartphones via two USB ports

Now I want to show you the assistance since there may not be enough markings on the road every time

On the left side of the steering wheel the ACC can be controlled

With that also the distance can be controlled or changed

Already available is the traffic jam assist and later on in early 2018 the road works assist will be added

In one of the 7 inch screens the night assist can be displayed

That infrared based system may recognize animals or people even better or earlier than yourself with the Matrix-LED lighting

Now let's change into the off road mode

As you can see there are five different modes to choose from

As standard with Porsche we can also change from Normal into Sport or Sport Plus

Also the damping can be adjusted in the center console or the touchscreen

Starting with "onroad" we may also change the ride height (with the optional air suspension) independently

With "Gravel" the center diff is set to 50% also the rear differential is set to 50%

With "Mud" the center differential is on full lock while the rear diff is still by 50%

With the mode "Sand" it stays the same

And in the mode "Rocks" the Cayenne rises to the highest ground clearance while both differentials are on full lock

The beauty of the optional air suspension are the 3 chambers

With the 3 chambers there is a huge spread between comfort and sport

In the current "normal" mode we're as comfortable as with the Panamera if not even better because of the longer travel of the suspension

Yet the whole Cayenne can be changed by the Mode to Sport Plus in an instant

In that case only one chamber is in use and whole body is stiffer on the road

And by that as well the characteristics of the car

The active anti-roll bar does not only apply to the dynamic use case but also the higher comfort level with less roll

The body roll is subjectively almost gone

Because the 0.8g lateral acceleration are not as easy to achieve on public roads

Up until 0.8g the body is always level

With that in mind cornering is easy and makes yourself confident with every turn

Even the rear passengers may not even recognize it that much

To sum up daddy in the driver seat may enjoy the ride while the kids in the back not even notice it

In General you may recognize the higher seating position but from the driving feel you may not

Because the driving dynamics are not casual to the SUV segment but more of the typical sedan segment

We've already seen the all-new Cayenne drive at high lateral acceleration in the Tech-Video

Long travel saloon car, sports car, all-terrain vehicle

But what of all applies to the all-new Cayenne? Utterly everything

It is a superb combination of all Porsche goodness

Therefore the all-new Cayenne is not just the leader of its segment but maybe also the best all-in-one Porsche currently on sale

If you may still not believe us feel free to watch the Tech-Video of the all-new Cayenne Turbo and watch it on the racetrack

And, how do you like the all-new Porsche Cayenne?

Do you agree with us of the combination of the three characteristics

Did you find any flaws we may have overlooked?

Please let us know what you think about the all-new Cayenne in the comment section down below

5 PHRASAL VERBS you NEED to use!...OR NOT! | LEARN ENGLISH - Duration: 5:03.

Guys, in one of my first classes in college here in the United

States, the professor said:

"avoid using phrasal verbs"

and my reaction was:

I spent my whole life hearing

from English teachers that I should memorize all phrasal verbs and then

this American professor told me not to use them.

It turns out that, apparently, a speech full of phrasal verbs is considered

an informal speech, so many people think that if you

are writing a more formal text, like an academic essay,

you should avoid using phrasal verbs.

But the good news is that many phrasal

verbs have synonyms that come from Latin and

this is great news, especially for those of us who have

a Latin-based tongue as our native language.

So today I'll teach

you 5 very used phrasal verbs and their respective synonyms.

And then you decide if you want to use the phrasal verbs and sound more like a

native speaker or if you want to use the Latin-based synonyms and sound more

intelectual or fancier.

Today's first phrasal verb is to fill out, which means "preencher" or

"completar", like complete a form or fill out a file card...

But in this context,

you may very well use the Latin-based synonym, which is the

verb "to complete."

Today's second phrasal verb

is to make something up.

Make up can mean many things, including

"maquiagem," but to make something up means "inventar algo."

And, again, you can use the phrasal verb or you can use the

Latin-based and easier synonym, which is to invent.

Today's third phrasal verb and perhaps the

most useful one in this list is to find out.

To find out means "descobrir"

and guess what? You can also use the verb

to discover in English as a synonym.

This phrasal verb goes to the ones with a hangover, which is to throw up.

I'm sure many of you already know that this phrasal verb means

"vomitar," but why not use the Latin-based

verb in English to vomit?

And the last one in today's list is

to get rid of. It's also very used and it means "se livrar," "eliminar."

And in English, instead of to get rid of, you may very well use the word,

the verb to eliminate, which is a little bit more formal, but it's easier for

us, so, all these Latin-based verbs can sound a little bit

more formal to a native, but for us, in fact, it's

easier, so it's a bit ironic that something more complicated to a

native can be easier for us, but that's what happens.

Well guys, those were the 5 phrasal verbs for today and their respective more formal

synonyms and, at the same time, easier for us Brazilians.

Is There Any Cheese in Cheez Whiz? (And the Story of Kraft) - Duration: 8:06.

Ivanka Trump Says Sexual Harassment Can't Be Tolerated, Never Once Mentions Her Father's Behavior - Duration: 2:13.

On Friday morning, Ivanka Trump was in Tokyo, Japan where she gave a speech to a mostly

empty room about the problems of sexual harassment.

She said, "It can not be tolerated."

Which is absolutely true, I'm not here to demean anything that Ivanka Trump said.

There is clearly a very real and very rampant problem of sexual harassment and sexual assault

here in the United States.

It needs to be addressed, and no, it can not be tolerated in any form.

That's what Ivanka Trump was trying to say.

That's a good message to have.

If you're not a complete and total hypocrite covering up all of the sexual assault and

sexual harassment allegations that have been made against your father, which is exactly

what Ivanka Trump is doing.

See, it's one thing to go out there and say that, I don't know, bullying is bad, but then

ignore the fact that your husband is a serial bully-er and uses racial slurs against people

on Twitter.

Just like it's a bad idea to go out there and sound all sanctimonious and self-righteous

about the issue of sexual harassment, ignoring the fact that your father is caught on tape

revealing how he likes to sexually assault and sexually harass women in the United States.

That is what Ivanka Trump did and the bullying thing is what Melania Trump's doing.

You can have all the best talking points, you can have the best intentions, but if you

refuse to acknowledge that the man you married or the man that fathered you is guilty of

the very things you're speaking out against then you have no credibility, you have no

moral high ground, you have no room to talk.

You want to stop sexual harassment?

You want to stop bullying?

Go talk to your dad, go talk to your husband, because some of the worst cases of both of

those in this country today, seem to be coming from him.

North Korea Says Trump Is "Incurably Mentally Deranged" And Should Be Medicated - Duration: 2:52.

North Korea's state-controlled media outlets this week have decided to finally fire back

against Donald Trump after his constant basically name calling against Kim Jong-un, calling

him little rocket man and the like, so this week the state-run media outlets in North

Korea decided to hit back at Donald Trump by saying that he is incurably mentally deranged

and obviously needs to be on medication.

They've talked about his bellicose and often violent rhetoric and essentially what they're

saying, I hate to admit it, is not that far from the truth.

Now usually I don't like to put any stock into anything that a dictatorial regime that

murders its own people has to say, but in this particular instance, yeah they got it

100% right because they're echoing basically what a lot of mental health experts here in

the United States have said about the president.

Here's the problem though.

We know that Donald Trump is a guy that cannot handle any kind of criticism.

He can't, and now that we have North Korean state media coming out and saying these kinds

of things, that he has some kind of mental disorder that can't be cured, but he certainly

needs to be medicated, how is Donald Trump going to react to that?

We already know he's having a bad week, okay?

We know that he's got a very short temper, and we know that the last time he lobbed some

missiles over at a country it actually helped his approval rating, which this week stands

at about 33%, so this is dangerous.

This is not a good thing that North Korea is out there saying these things.

They're echoing what the rest of the people in the world are saying as well, but Donald

Trump already wants to go nuke North Korea, and now they're just poking the bear at this

point.

As I've said before, if you go over there and drop some bombs, or missiles, or god forbid

a nuclear weapon, you are going to kill hundreds of thousands, if not more, completely innocent

people who are essentially political prisoners in their own country.

Donald Trump does not know how to act in a diplomatic way, and neither does Kim Jong-un,

but somebody, some kind of grownup, needs to step in and take control and make sure

that we do not on our side or their side end up killing millions of innocent people who

got caught in the crosshairs in a war of words between two absolute morons.

How Meditation Can Manage Chronic Pain and Stress | Daniel Goleman - Duration: 4:08.

One of the stunning findings that showed up in long-term meditators—and these other

scientists were quite skeptical about [it], but Richard Davidson my co-author and his

group went ahead and tried it—they had people who had done 1,000 to 10,000 lifetime hours

of meditation come in and simply do a retreat for one day in the lab.

And they did a measure of the genes for inflammation, and they found that there was a down-regulation

of inflammatory genes from one day of meditation.

What this means is that inflammation, which is a cause, it's a risk factor for a wide

range of diseases, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, cardiovascular disease, you name it, inflammation

almost always plays a role in disease.

And what this says is that intensive retreats in meditation, even for a day, help you lower

the level of those genes.

We don't yet know if this is clinically important; that's another study that needs

to be done.

But we do know that it's so remarkable that people in genomic science were amazed that

a simple mental exercise could have such a profound impact on this array of genes.

Pretty eye-opening.

There was a remarkable finding when it comes to how the Olympic level meditators experience

pain.

Ordinarily if you bring someone into the lab and you tell them "We're going to give

you a burn in ten seconds, it won't cause blisters on your skin but you're going to

feel it, it's going to hurt," the moment you tell them that the emotional circuitry

for feeling pain goes ballistic.

It's as though they're feeling the pain already.

And then you get them the touch of the hot test tube—whatever it is, and it stays ballistic,

and then for ten seconds more it stays ballistic; they don't recover emotionally.

The "Olympic-level" meditators had quite a different response.

You tell them "You're going to feel this pain in ten seconds," their emotional centers

don't do anything.

They're completely equanimous.

The pain comes and they feel it, you see it register physiologically, but there's no

emotional reaction, and there's no emotional reaction afterward, so in other words, they're

totally equanimous, they're unflappable.

Even though they experience the pain physiologically they don't have the emotional reaction.

And what we find is that calming the emotional reaction is one of the most powerful benefits

of meditation.

And I'm not talking about the Olympic level, I'm talking about beginners.

There's a wonderful method called Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction; it was developed by a friend

of ours John Kabat-Zinn years ago.

And it's for people in hospitals, people in clinics—although anyone could benefit—but

one of the strongest findings on this has been that it helps with people who have chronic

pain.

And I'm talking about pain that medication is not going to help you with, there's nothing

medicine knows what to do about this except give you horrible narcotics that are addictive.

And here is a very positive alternative, because what happens when you do MBSR if you have

chronic pain is: the emotional component changes.

You shift your relationship to the pain.

It no longer is "My pain, oh my God I can't stand it," instead it's "Oh, there's

that sensation again."

So the physiology of the pain continues, but the emotional component, which is really where

the hurt is, disappears or is much reduced because you no longer have that same relationship

to the pain that we do ordinarily.

Ma nouvelle couleur de cheveux avec ARCTIC FOX | Marion Cameleon - Duration: 4:22.

Hi everyone I hope you're doing well so today I am about

to change my hair color. It's been a long time that I have

this one and I need to change

plus now it has faded a lot

so it's the perfect timing!

I will do it in 2 rounds

First of all put an old shirt that you don't care about

and then go wash your hair

Oh, and I made this makeup on snapchat so

if you didn't watched it yet it's no longer available lol

but you can add me on snapchat anyways

I made some tutorials and always translate everything in english

First of all I wash my hair with the

Pro color shampoo from Directions

don't put any conditioner or detangling cream

because the color will not stain if you do

Then you need to detangle your hair

so this step is

horrible as there are nothing to help us

doing that lol I hate this part

At the end I always lose all my hair

Now use a hairdryer to dry your hair

they need to be completely dry

For the first color I mix 3 colors together

Aquamarine, Purple Rain and the diluter

all from Arctic Fox

I start with the diluter and I put quite a lot

I add Aquamarine and

Purple Rain

I mix the colors well it's very important

to get an uniform shade

Wearing gloves is optional but I highly recommend

wearing some as the color can stain on the skin

I start on the roots at the bottom of my hair separation

I stop by the middle of the length

Do some massages on the color

to improve the penetration of the pigments

on the hair fiber

I tried to detangle but don't do that

I thought it would have helped to make an ombre effect

And let it work for 30 min with a beautiful cap on

Once the 30 minutes are over

I wash and dry my hair

And for the second color I mix the diluter

with some Virgin Pink

The color is pretty pink

and I wanted something more greyish so

I added some Sterling in the mix

I also added a drop of Aquamarine but it turned Purple!

This shade is SO PIGMENTED OMG

The application is easier than the first color

I apply it on the tips with my hands and do

some massages too

I add some too on the blue color to create an ombre effect

So I washed and dried my hair

I didn't styled them I only want to show you the colors

Both side are more equilibrated

this side is still a bit more purple

but I think next time it will be okay

I hope you like this new color

See you on wednesday for a new video!

Antifa Plans November 4th Protests Across The Country To Take Down Trump - Duration: 1:45.

You may have seen social media alerts about the doomsday November 4 protests.

It seems ANTIFA has big plans to end the Trump administration.

The Blaze reports:

An "Antifa" group plans to have a continuous demonstration in major cities across the United

States until their one demand about President Donald Trump is met – they want him to be

driven from office.

What kind of demonstration are they planning?

According to plans that they have publicized on social media, "Refuse Fascism" is kicking

the protests in almost two dozen cities on November 4.

They intend to protest until their demands are met.

In their minds, Trump and Pence must go!

Protests are planned in these 21 cities.

Akron Atlanta

Austin Boston

Chicago Cincinnati

Cleveland Falmouth, MA

Honolulu Indianapolis

Los Angeles Miami

Minneapolis New York City

Philadelphia Pittsfield

Portland Salem

San Francisco Seattle

Tucson Fox News describes the protests as ANTIFA

apocalypse:

The gatherings are being described as a kind of "Antifa apocalypse" on right-wing media,

according to The Washington Post.

Several sites are expressing particular alarm about the loosely-defined left-leaning group,

which preaches a version of ferocious anti-government chaos that often uses "domestic terrorist

violence," according to a recent FBI report.

We've seen these kinds of protests before and we will probably see them again.

It won't take long before ANTIFA figures out they can't derail the Trump Train.

Day Vs. Night | Which is Faster? - Duration: 4:34.

- Night riding is loads of fun, and it can feel really

fast when you're flying through the woods.

But just how fast is it?

Modern lights can be super bright and make it almost

feel like daylight, so let's put them to the test.

I've got a downhill trail, it's a few minutes long,

and I'm going to ride it in the light as fast as I can,

and repeat it at night with lights on,

to see how fast I can go.

(techno music beat)

So the track I'm riding today, and tonight,

is actually an old downhill track.

There's a few rocky steepish bits, fairly fast,

but nothing too crazy.

I'm riding my Canyon Spectral which is 140 mil travel,

it'll be absolutely fine.

I've done a practice run so now it's time to give the

full gas in the daylight and see how fast I can go.

Right, run one, let's go.

(fast trance music beat)

Well, there you go, run done in the light,

felt normal obviously, so it's time to go set up my lights.

Okay, so, to my lighting setup.

I've got two lights.

One for my handlebars, and one for my head,

and that really is the ideal setup.

I've got a bigger one to go one to go on the bars,

this is the Exposure Sixpack, it's super powerful,

it's got 3,600 lumens, but actually bumps up to 4,750,

using this reflex technology.

So, it's got an accelerometer in this and senses

so it knows when you're riding downhill and gives you

that maximum power when you really need it, and then

backs off when you don't.

So if you're standing around chatting it bumps it down

just to save the battery.

Then I've got this Exposure Diablo that's gonna go on top

of my helmet, and you really do need that so you're

looking around corners quite often more than you think,

and your bars maybe not pointing in the right direction.

So two lights, I should have loads of power.

(techno music)

So that was a load of fun, I've got to say riding in the

dark as fast as I could was pretty scary,

although the lights are super bright,

still there's a lot of shadows and actually

the blind brows are the scariest bit,

I was second guessing myself,

I know that trail really well,

but I was coming over those brows thinking

is this a big drop, or is there a werewolf or something

on the back of there?

So it was actually, it was good fun.

Um, but what about the times?

The times are really close.

I did a 2:35 in the daylight and I did a 2:39 in the dark,

so in my book, that's actually really close.

So there you go, lights are brilliant,

definitely for those more mellow rides,

it feels like you can see everything.

And it always felt like I'm going fast tonight,

and actually, maybe I am.

I can't believe how bright these things are.

New Chapter: Moving to Serbia | فصل جديد: الانتقال إلى صربيا - Duration: 5:14.

Hello Everyone ,

Welcome to a new video!

My name is Linda

Today I wanted to talk about

Why I didn't make video's last year?

I know that a lot of you guys where waiting for a new lookbook

But unfortunately I had a lot of circumstances

that I wanted to share with you.

And mostly why I decided to get back to Youtube

I believe that a lot of you know

(Especially those who follow me on: Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook)

that I moved last year in September (13th).

You can find most of the pictures posted on Instagram

My first job was a customer service support in a call center

I am aware that a lot of you will be shocked

or you'll ask me : "What did you study?"

I got my bachelor's degree in "Computer science applied to management" at the Higher Institute of Management in Tunis

Still it is not easy to get your dream job from the first second you move

Like being Software engineer !

I needed sometime to achieve what I came for.

After 5 months of job applications

I found my current job.

Which is : QA Engineer!

In other terms Quality Assurance Engineer

In a French compagny

...

I have to say that I really didn't expect it

As I got something I always wanted to.

I have been always dreaming to be living and working in Serbia.

Even if I didn't have a Master's degree.

Hopefully I will finish my studies ..

But right know, I am focusing on my career.

Maybe I will one day decide to switch path

like MBA

or maybe just regular master studies.

It is a fact that here nobody asks about your degree.

If you really know how to do the job

you won't be asked to prouve what are your studies.

And that is something that gave me the chance to

get into the working life.

Of course it wasn't an easy journey!

You have to get through different interviews, tests and trainings..

But thank god, I have successfully fought to get where I am now.

The first 5 months that I have spent here

were kinda hard.

Even though people were really nice and friendly

I can't say otherwise!

They were very supportive, because they knew I was coming from Tunisia

even though I knew how to speak in Serbian..

Still I miss Tunisia!

It's been a year and a half since I didn't come to visit my country.

Something that actually breaks my heart.

I feel like I can't talk to people openly

as I did back when I was in Tunis...

All the friends I left, family

basically everything

It is true that I am half-serbian

and I lived a period here

during summertime.

But it is very different!

Because during winter it becomes very depressive

Snowing most of the time.

On the other hand, in Tunisia it is always sunny even during winter.

Here in Serbia, from December

till the end of March

it is very dark outside.

There is no sun!

always cold..

And it makes me miss the warmth , coziness

You want to go to the beach, but no sea in here..

But I can't be always complaining, as there are also good things in here!

Everybody is minding their business.

Nobody tries to interfere in your private life.

and as you know we do have this kind of social bad habit in Tunisia

But whatever happens

I will always miss my home.

I'm very glad to say that I am coming back (inshallah) during December

to visit my family and be on small vacation.

I have to admit that I have mostly missed

the sea and .. my FAMILY

something that can't be replaced by any means.

A lot of people have been asking me

How did I find the job here?

Clearly what made it easier is that I have the nationality

But if you also what to know more and find jobs in Serbia as well

There is a website called : Infostud

a serbian website.

That is the equivalent of Monster job .

where you can find all the jobs in Serbia (and/ or the balkans)

There are few in English, as it is needed for outsourcing.

And even in French

If you are interested , I will leave in the description box down bellow all the links needed.

If you would like me to know more about Serbia

Don't hesitate to ask me in the comments!

I will answer to all you questions :)

I will try to make other videos concerning this topic

showing you places in Belgrade

and take you with me for a tour!

Those where all the updates for the last year

I hope you enjoyed the video

Don't forget to hit the "Like" button

See you soon, and subscribe for more!

Bye Bye !

What Is Functional Threshold Power? | How To Calculate Your FTP - Duration: 5:19.

(techno music)

- If you've spent a little time doing triathlon or cycling,

you'll probably have heard the term "FTP."

But what on earth is it?

Well, in cycling terms, these three letter stand for

"functional threshold power."

And knowing your own FTP is a pretty powerful tool

for determining your training zones,

measuring your improvement,

and setting your rate intensities.

Simply put, your FTP is the highest average power

you can sustain for an hour.

But you will be pleased to hear

you don't have to do a 60-minute time trial to get your FTP;

there is a shorter test, the 20-minute FTP test.

And the nice thing about this test,

and probably the only nice thing,

is that anyone can do this, more or less anywhere.

There's no need to go into

a special laboratory to be tested;

you can easily do this yourself in your own time,

meaning you can retest regularly from time to time.

All you need for the test is a bike

and a means of measuring the power,

and that can be a power metre on your bike,

a smart trainer or a static gym bike with integrated power.

And from my experience, having a power metre on your bike

is perhaps the ideal, because it not only allows you

to do the test anywhere, it also allows you

to utilise your power metre and your new FTP data

on every ride.

Before anything, we need to make sure we do a good warmup

with a couple of hard efforts to really prepare the legs.

And this isn't the sort of thing

we can warm up for in five minutes, either.

You should allow yourself a good 15 minutes or so

to really make sure you're ready to nail the test.

The test itself requires you to ride

as hard as is sustainable for 20 minutes.

Now, there are a few different FTP test variations,

but the 20-minute test is a proven test

used by many of the pros,

and relates well to the style of riding we do in triathlon.

Now most importantly, make sure you record the effort.

Trust me; you do not want to lose this data.

You can even set a new lap on your bike computer,

or even a new ride,

just to make analysis of that data easier post-ride.

Now I've performed a fair few of these tests over the years,

both well paced and poorly paced,

and understandably it's easy to get overexcited

and fly out the blocks, or alternatively,

you could be a little overwhelmed by the idea of the test,

and start out a touch too easy

leaving a tonne of energy in the tank for the end.

Instead, you should aim for a consistent effort

throughout the 20 minutes, with an average power

identical from the first and second half.

Well, this is all very well,

but what should you be aiming for?

If you've done an FTP test before,

you may be able to gauge your current level off that

whilst factoring in your training to date.

And if you feel like you've moved on,

you may be able to start at 10 to 15 watts higher

than your average power from last time.

And then after 10 minutes, you can make a call

as to whether you maintain that or you push on.

But if this test is completely new to you,

well, you may need to go by fairly little.

It does take a bit of practise

and not everyone nails it first time.

However, if you're used to using heart rate or speed,

you could go by those numbers whilst recording your power

in the background.

Wherever you chose to do the test,

you want to make sure it's easily repeatable

for future tests.

And for that reason, many opt to do this

in a controlled environment on the indoor trainer

where there's very little disruption.

Or if you're like me, you may feel better out on the road,

and feel like you produce a higher power.

And whilst you tend to feel like you can produce

a higher power on the hills,

I would normally suggest trying to do this

on a relatively flat or rolling road,

so then your zones line up with the type of roads

that you're more frequently training and racing on.

Once you've completed your 20-minute effort,

the number you want to be looking at is your average power.

Now currently, that is only for 20 minutes,

so we want to translate that to your 60-minute FTP.

And to do that you want to take 95% of that average power

and you can do that by multiplying it by 0.95,

or you can input it into a number of online calculators.

And once you have your new FTP,

you can then calculate your training zones.

And again, you can do this

with a number of online calculators,

or even some training software will do this for you.

So there we go, that is what an FTP test is,

and how to do one.

And if you're planning on doing an FTP test,

best of luck, let us know how you get on
