The Right Oil For Your Car - Duration: 3:54.

one, two, three, four!

Rev up your engines!

It's time for the Scotty Kilmer Channel

today I'm going to talk about what oil you should use in your car, now I've been working on cars for the

last 50 years, things have changed both in terms of oil and the engines they go

in, so I'll give you the skinny on what you need to know, now check your oil cap,

even though this car is 24 years old, it says on the cap, use 10w30 oil, but of

course, there's millions of different kinds of oils out there, so which one are

you going to use, now in my case I just used conventional 1030 Castro oil, I like

Castro, and since I don't drive much, I change it once a year, because it does

wear out as you can see I'm charging up the battery, last year I only put 600

miles on the car, but if I was going to use a synthetic oil in this, one it would be

a waste of money, because you still got to change it once a year,

and two, I've talked to engineers and they tell me it's impossible, but I've seen it

too many times, guys will get an old car like this, and

it's 240,000 miles, they put in synthetic oil, then it will either leak more oil or

burn more oil, so I'm not switching an old car from using conventional oil high

mileage, to using synthetic oil, I just wouldn't do it, because I've seen

problems occur then, now let's go to a more modern car, this Toyota Matrix has

a cap that says use energy concerning 5w30 oil, now here you have a choice, you

can use either regular oil and change it say every 5,000 miles, or you can use

full synthetic oil, and you can push it up to eight or ten thousand miles then,

now this used to be my wife's car, and she drove it to school, so she put about

five thousand miles a year on it, so I just used normal oil and it changed

every 5,000 miles, but if you have a car like this and you drive a lot more

mileage, you could use synthetic oil and change it a lot less often, then you'd

get to decide what synthetic oil to use, well my theory with that is, go for the one

that's the lowest price, when I went to Autozone, the Mobil one was like 10 bucks

a quart, but this STP full synthetic one was only

five dollars a quart, so I use the STP what the heck, now in many really modern

cars, they use a 0w 20 oil, now that, you have to use a synthetic oil, because it's

only available in synthetic oil, so my advice to that is, hey go price around

find the one that has the best price and use that one

because you have to realize at least here in the United States, the government

has all kinds of regulations on motor oils these days, so any that are sold are

perfectly fine there aren't any crappy ones that are being able to be sold to the

public in the United States, now lately a lot of people then asked me about this

Mobil one annual protection oil that can go 20,000 miles or one year, well here's

the truth about that, first you have to go down and read the caveats, and one of

the caveats is, 20,000 miles or one year but please follow the recommendations in

your owners manual, because it may void your warranty if you go more than the

mileage they suggest, and truth be told you can only do 20,000 mile oil changes

if you do mainly highway driving, you really can't do that and stop and go

city driving, those big truckers they don't change their oils that often, but

the trucks are going 65 miles an hour for hours and hours on edge and there's

not much wear in an engine when you're going at a steady speed on a highway, so

me if I'm going to use synthetic oil, I'm going to find the one with the best

price, change you to every seven to ten thousand miles, so now you know what

you need to know about motor oils, buy the right one at the right price, don't

waste your money, but don't ruin your engine, and remember if your car has any problems just

visit the Scotty Kilmer channel, before it's too late!

Game-changers

Galaxias level completed in 22 seconds a new wrecker who in even some kind of creatures to guard the Rings

Like that Merc I would totally play that game I bet she could help us make a new game

No, she did say to visit hurts me ever need anything

Loreena Merc

I'm not worried. I'll take some atmospheric measurements mom dad is it okay if we go to Planet Lamarr?

Oh to see the game master. We want her to help us make our own game. That sounds like a galactic idea

Why would you do that?

Even more fun than playing sit sit sit, I'll teach you everything you need to know

You're ready player one and player two two now

I'm gonna give you this brand new game module plug it into shit. You'll get your own tool box and it will let

Stella can you please redirect some from your supply of course Loretta sending extra power to game module?

We are in business

Now we need like

floating rocks

Floating coming right up a treasure chest full of star radium

Yeah, I'm gonna program it so that when a player finds the treasure they win and the game

Okay

Seriously why not the game master said we could make the game however we want she did say that come on and one this way

We better turn off the game before it takes over the whole stellosphere, where's the emergency shutoff switch I

Didn't put one in did you know that?

Wasn't right?

There's only one way to stop you have to find the treasure and we

Just bring us at up any idea. Why our starship is suddenly so overgrown

Yes

Controls aren't responding

Stella any chance this game could be affecting our steering. Yes leo the game is overpowering my system

There's only one way we have to find the treasure and stop the fool house

What?

Seriously that's what I said we better split up Callisto's. Let's find those Google homes

Well that was weird, but it worked

No flugel ha

You have an idea

How about you guys soon as we find that treasure the rest of us will keep looking

Game over I have regained control of the concierge waiting

Well that was a close one we're really sorry

Instead of it playing us you know I have an idea for a new game and when it's ready I wanna invite

There's a computer terminal quick

Shutdown restarting security system

It Pao it back on how very strange

Some of us more than others

Admirals

Think they understood me

I

Am sure they did I have no idea what captain Georgia said I believe he and lieutenant luminix might be trapped on the Falco

I'll understand thanks Merc. I'm glad you're coming with me

Asteroids seriously more asteroids

You served us well

Since you're trapped on board. We'll have to stop the Falco from getting too close to that star good luck

We'll be right here because we cannot go anywhere

Huh reporting for duty welcome aboard watch it defense roads are everywhere

It's harder than it looks

That was close

You hear that luminix all the recruits must be here

You're right Loretta, we work best as a team and we're here to help

Spaceguard is in trouble because of what we all did my dad or says clean up your mess

We do what we should have done before we work as a team

Loretta you go to the computer core here and shut off the security system got it

Mark it out. We'll go to the bridge and steer us away from the star

Mirandos Corona get to the engine

Well you're going down you want a piece of me

No wonder there are so many

I'm not sure

Cracking the code is taking way longer than I thought

those little

Bubble is before we even get close to the engine room then let's give them something else to bubble if I can just get these

gloves to do what I want salt as it was

- swatted throw he can't steer if they're off, and he better get to the pilot controls fast come on miles

I'm getting pretty good at this. Oh solid eyes you because you won't turn off. I'm doing you something

The command

Don't worry buddy this will all be over as soon as I stares away from that star

We move huh, what's that one called the Haruna Kitumba flopping squash, it is now watch out I do

Well I have an idea

So we do me again

Like maybe trip our

Blodger am I glad to see you

Brando done grab hold yes

Now we got shut down the edge the new lever stud, let's pull

It's good to be back Zeno

Now approaching the Falco hey, it's

Apparently someone and beat us here recruits yawn until we've told the Falco back to Earth's moon. Oh well in that case

Permission to escort you there team leader permission granted

We have never seen anything like it before

Unbelievable and because you did so

Unbelievably well someone very special would like to talk to you

That's commander Copernicus he's the head of the whole Tomorrowland Transit Authority

Engineering arts and math and so I haven't offered for you. What kind of offer mr.

commander what will we be doing the TTA's mission has always been to

Connect the universe must be kept safe from anything or anyone that might do it harm

Like who we have been getting reports that a company called nemesis the ones to protect the GTA

You do know we're just kids right you are kids you will connect and protect you will be

mission force one

So what do you say the bright future indeed

Let's get down

Come along you, too

Thanks guys, yeah everything to that. Okay shucks to the part

Where sleep our way with a galactic glows that took a lot of bravery?

Thanks, but now the Frost Emperor will be so fast and so strong they can steal whatever they want

I know we got the idea Lander back after he stole it back

We were just kind of wondering if the Spaceguard has had any luck tracking him down

I am afraid we have do not blame yourselves and rest assured. I will let you know if anything changes we appreciate that

Thank you good, bud. Where are you going? Sorry mom time to get moving?

We're almost at the tethoscape you have to get into your evening gap. What evening gowns. I'm supposed to wear my uniform

And I happen to think I look good next to your mom no matter what I have on

Mom's Dickey way more guests than I thought Oh a little smudge on my sleeve. Where is the stain remover?

Maybe I'll go run a brush through my hair

Blizz bird flu buh begin phase one of my frost tastic plan

Now where are those iced over little I'm gonna turn into a snow flurry just like commander sleet does

Press that button and open this cell

Good luck. Hey sounds like someone's having a party

Welcome one and all to the Tomorrowland Estela captain at the helm

Captain's whose shared mission has always been to connect the universe

As a result of one of these connections the Callisto family has been given a priceless gift. That's right

Iceland we have work to do

Or we could go now

So what kind of job do you have in mind you're killing us. We are stealing the Tomorrowland Transit

Thank you and make a difference

Starships

Hey, I know that symbol. We're going after him the stellosphere isn't following us like the others

Let's go back for know what they're galactech globe has the frost Empire will be bigger and stronger

What battery, I mean he can't outrun us when we're in galactic mode, right

The question is why isn't he in galactic mode after all he did the Callisto's are in pursuit?

Let's show them what the frost fleet is really made of

And worse it's connecting all the other ships my fleet is not only

Protected by Galactic it has forged it into one massive vessel

That I will call good thing the lactic suits go through galactic shields come on

There's so much energy, I don't know how close we can get

This droids seize them everyone

But that'll destroy the globe it's better than letting sleep keep it

And get us out of here

To cause trouble another day, I'm sure a

captain is only as good as her crew any award given to me also belongs to my family and

Connect. I hope that someday. I can be just like my mom an amazing cap

Potato chips CHALLENGE - Duration: 10:46.

Hey! Hey!

I love potato chips.

Oh yes you do.

Mommy loves potato chips too. She can sneak off with a bag.

Really?

Our whole family loves potato chips. But we haven't got any at home.

We're going to make our own.

We've heard that you can make your own potato chips in the microwave oven in five minutes!

Let's do it.

We have normal potatoes. Me and Alma are going to make chips with salt.

Me and Harry are going to make chips with olive oil and salt.

We'll see who makes the best potato chips. This is a challenge. Girls against boys.

We are going to win.

We will.

How thin do you cut?

Very thin. They wont taste nice if the slices are too thick.

We make them super thin.

You're cheating. You're too precise.

There's no time limit.

Oh come on.

We make them thin.

You're measuring. I told you my trick.

She stole my trick

It's two of us, we have teamwork.

They stole my trick. It's really important to make them thin.

That's a thick slice, good job Alma!

No, it was a mistake.

We're going to put our potato chips on plates.

Can you eat oil? I don't like oil.

Most potato chips that you buy are covered in oil. Let's put some salt on them.

Good, a bit more.

Our potato chips are covered in oil and salt.

Are we putting them in the oven?

We'll put them in the microwave oven. 2,5 minutes on each side.

2,5 minutes. 1,2,3,3,5. Here we go.

I'm going to put salt on my and mommy's potato chips.

Ouch, it's hot. I'm going to turn them over.

They have the other side up now but I didn't add any more salt. I think we had too much salt on the first side.

2,5 minutes.

They're hot.

Chips!

Good.

We're the winning team.

Look, what a sore winner.

Watch out.

What's happening with your potato chips? They have to cool down. Come on Harry!

I have to move them from the hot plate so they can dry on a cold surface.

They look crispy, interesting.

Harry, you need to cut your hair.

I want to cut my hair at home.

We can do a vlog of Harry's first visit to the hairdresser.

No, it's closed tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. We can go to the hair salon after that.

Harry knows their opening hours.

It's closed, closed, closed.

Is it closed because you don't want to go?

No.

Wow, they look nice.

We have our potato chips in different colored bowls. Let's try them.

This is yellow, oily crisps with sea salt.

This is potato chips with salt.

Yes, we used regular salt.

Here's a bowl. This one's for you.

We start with your potato chips.

And we start with yours. Here you go Harry.

Wow! Impressive.

Congratulations.

We try yours now.

You eat them all!

No, there's more here.

They're crispy. Nice.

What do you think Harry?

Do you like them?

No.

Ok, let's try our own.

Yuck, I have to throw up.

We can immediately admit that your potato chips are better.

We won!

We are good winners. We can admit that your potato chips with oil are better.

The ones without oil taste of fish. Can you taste it?

Alma is off. Try this at home guys, it only takes a few minutes.

Leave a comment and let us know what you prefer, with or without oil.

Alma is back. Harry is running around. He can't stay still.

Score!

We're going to answer the "Question of the day"

Hanna, Ellapella and Marva Khafaja is asking what our favorite snack is?

I like cheese balls

My favorite is cheese puffs.

I've already said that.

You said cheese balls. I like British..

Cheese balls.

No, British salt and vinegar crisps.

I like a Swedish brand of potato chips...

Sour cream and onion flavor.

We have another question that's been asked by a lot of people... And we might have missed some.

We recently complained about the fact that we can't search in the commentary section.

They're all asking what our favorite candy is?

Wine gum.

What's your favorite?

Sour candy and gummy bears.

What's that?

Dental floss.

My favorite is dark chocolate.

What's my favorite?

White chocolate, or pink chocolate.

Expensive white chocolate.

With nuts.

That's all from us today. Let us know what you think with a thumbs up or down.

I had a plan for this channel... - Duration: 5:36.

How do you create a channel about Great Danes - without having one in the first place?

Well, you don't start it until there's a dog in the making... or something like that

at least.

Hi!

My name is Anna-Maria Eriksson, and I'm supposed to get a Great Dane.

When I renamed my channel and quit all that stuff about dental braces and vlogging, I

had a plan and a hope that this channel would become magical.

Oh, boy did I fail!

So what happened?

Well.

Life.

And a non-secure job.

And decisions.

Life-altering decisions.

About 18 months or so back, when I made all of these changes to my channel I was on a

straight path of getting a Great Dane.

I started saving money for my purchase and had frequent talks with my breeder of choice.

Everything was basically going perfect.

And then 2017 happened.

And everything changed.

This year has been really rough on me, both in good ways and in really bad ways.

My job was getting tough.

Almost so tough that I thought I was gonna lose my mind in the process.

And I almost did.

Fortunately, my current colleagues are great and they totally understand me.

Some things changed at work and it did become a lot better.

And some other things changed as well for me this year.

I moved back to my "favorite" town of all time - Malmö.

But I did not end up here at once.

We first made the stupid decision to move to the "suburbs" or something like that.

That was really stupid and it did not take long until we started to look for a new place

to live.

About 7 or so months later - we finally moved into our new place and it's almost perfect.

It's cheap, close to copenhagen, train stations and the city of Malmö, but we have awful

reception here on our Blackberries...

Ok, enough about that stuff.

I'm guessing you'd really like to know what's gonna happen with this channel - and

doggie stuff.

Well.

I'm not getting a Great Dane.

Not yet anyway, and probably not for another 3+ years or so.

Not unless a miracle happens and I win like 3 million dollars or something.

Like right now.

Yeah.

Not gonna happen.

So, why am I not getting a Great Dane this year either?

I've waited over 20 years to get one already!

Well, that's because of two things.

I'm not "making money" at my current job, and I have finally made a life changing

decision.

I'm gonna be a programmer.

Hopefully a backend developer that will learn and work with many programming languages.

C#, .NET, C++, and many other things.

I hope I will dabble with PHP, CSS and HTML in my spare time.

And I want to help out with WordPress development and making games in Unity as well.

In January of 2018 I will start taking classes in programming and math, while I'll keep

working less hours at my current job.

When and if I get into a real education in this field I hope I'll be finished and have

my first job in 2020 or perhaps 2021.

It all depends on when and where I'll keep studying.

When I'm finished, I hope I'll be able to get a job where I can have flexible hours

and a place where Great Danes are welcome.

Getting a Great Dane is not something I will ever give up.

It will happen.

Just not now, this year...

Yeah...

It's sad.

So, what happens with the channel?

Well.

I have another channel, that I'll link to below.

It's my "vlog and gaming" channel with oh, yes.

5 subscribers as of now.

Yay me!

I have a lot of other stuff on my mind, and one day I'll start uploading more frequently

to that channel.

I'll talk about absolutely everything there.

Veganism and technology will probably be the main two topics.

If you like that stuff, I hope you'll subscribe to that channel, and that you'll come back

here when my baby is on the way.

In like 3 years or so.

I'll see you then or over at my other channel.

Thanks for watching!

You must be SERIOUS to Follow Jesus - Duration: 5:19.

If you want eternal life you have to be very serious about following Jesus

Christ. It is not just a matter of believing in Jesus. We have to follow Him.

We have to obey His words and go with Him until the very end. We have to repent

of all sin and of our own ways and make up our mind to follow Jesus Christ. We

have to obey Him, be baptized in water and we have to seek Him with all our

heart and he will speak to us. He will guide us and we can follow Him. I was

shocked when I realized that even though I had repented, been baptized in water,

and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, that I did not really know the

voice of the Lord. When I realized that Jesus said that:"My sheep hear My voice

and they follow Me," I had to be honest and I said:"Lord but I do not know Your

voice and I do not follow You. I follow my own mind I do as I think fit. I'm

going about my own life." I was shocked and I realized that I had to seek Jesus

I had to hear His voice and I had to listen to Him to be able to follow Him. I

sought Jesus with all my heart. I decided to not eat or drink. I said:"Lord, don't

send anybody else to speak to me. I do not want to hear from a man. I do not

want to hear from anybody else, I want to hear from Jesus." He did not speak to me

straightaway, but after I sought Him earnestly, He

started speaking to me. Many people ask me why Jesus does not speak to them and

they have asked Him to speak to them? Dear friend you need to be really

serious about following Jesus Christ. You need to seek His will.

You need to seek to be pleasing to Him. You need to seek His kingdom, not your

own ways. He will not speak to you about yourself. He will speak to you about His

kingdom. He will correct you and discipline you. He will tell you the

things in your life that are not right, that you need to change, to be pleasing

to Him. He will rebuke you. He will teach you, He will give you understanding of

the things that you do not understand about Him and about the kingdom of God,

things that you do not understand in the Bible. He will give you understanding, you

will understand those things if you seek Jesus with all your heart,

if you seek His kingdom. But you have to be serious. If you're not serious

Jesus will not answer you. You need to seek Jesus with all your heart and be

serious about following Him, about being pleasing to Him. nobody will get into

heaven easily. We have to strive hard, we have to press on in. We have to deny

ourselves and pick up our cross every day and go after Jesus. We must love Him, seek

Him follow Him and obey Him. We must be serious. Are you serious about Jesus

Christ, about the kingdom of heaven? If you're not serious you will not enter

His kingdom dear friend. seek Jesus with all your heart. He

rewards those who earnestly seek Him and show by the deeds that they are serious

about following Him ,those who obey and seek Him day and night, who wish to

follow Him. They will hear His voice. He will guide them and He will teach them,

and He will use them for His kingdom. May Jesus bless you.

Jesus Christ is alive and hell is real. I am here to introduce you to Jesus

Christ so that you can know Him and follow Him and have eternal life.

Subscribe to my channel to learn more about Jesus. May Jesus bless you.

UNLUCKY NUMBERS IN JAPAN by Sebastiano Serafini in Japan - Duration: 3:34.

hello everyone and welcome to a new fantastic video from Japan

today I'm in this beautiful temple

that we had randomly found it while I was doing a photoshoot

an today I wanted to talk about superstitions in japan

what is the connection with the temple.. well there isn't one, but i still would like to talk about this

for those who doesn't know me, my name is sebastiano serafini I upload new video everyday at 2 pm (italian time) from japan

and if you have any question for me, please ask, I might responde you with a video message

this is a video that no one has actually requested me to do, but since I've talked about this briefly on my 3rd channel "sebastiano serafini a katsu"

I've decided to do this video, why not

so let me start by saying that i've read on wikipedia that black cat it's considered lucky in Japan

but both my moa and cameraman told me that it's unlucky

so you really can't trust wiki on this

(wait ... somebody it's coming, but let's home I can keep on recording this video anyway...)

let me focus on numbers, the majority of these believe come from western countries, such as china

and the most unlucky numbers in japan are 4 and 9

number 9 cos its sound like the verb kurushimu which means suffering

and number 4 it's even worse cos it sounds like death

and same in chinese, same character but you pronunce it "SHI"

it isn't rare in japan to see many hotels and hospitals avoide using the number 4 for rooms or floor numbers, because many people are superstitious

and they might not want to sleep in such rooms'/floors

and speaking of hospitals, if you are a pregnant woman you would avoid room number 43

becuase you read it SHIZAN which means child-death

and as for car race there probably wont be car number 42

cos you would read it SHINI which literally means go to death

it's kind of similar for us italian with the number 17

becuase for us 17 means death

cos if you write it in roman number XVII and you change the order of the letters you can write VIXI that from the latin means death

another number that is unlucky it's number 13, but that is not a japanese orginal superstition

so there isn't a real connection for japanese when they think about friday the 13th

maybe it is different for americans

if anybody of you knows why number 13 is an unlucky number, could you write a comment below? thank you!

another this I wanted to add about number 4

if you want to give as present to a japanese places, glasses, etc make sure that your set doesn't include 4 pieces

you can give set of 3-5-6-7-8-10 etc... be careful to give set of 4 (or 9)

because it's a little unlucky for japanese

I hope this video was useful and that this temple

(please yuka show this temple)

and I hope you like this temple

and also I wanted to thank you, we are growing and I'm having so much fun making these videos

I try to put some opening, dress up a little and find good locations XD

so thank you and I will wait for you tomorrow at 2 pm (italian time) too

please keep subscribing to this channel, subscribe your friends and enemies too

and if you have question don't forget to ask me in the comment section below

see you tomorrow, bye byeeee

North Korea nuclear blast IMMINENT? Satellites detect major moves at Kim's nuke base - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 3:19.

North Korea nuclear blast IMMINENT?

Satellites detect major moves at Kim's nuke base

NORTH Korea appears is readying for another nuclear blast as satellites have detected

significant activity around Kim Jong-un's nuclear test site.

Unused tunnels have been opened up over the past month suggesting the rogue state is ready

for a new nuclear blast.

North Korea will be looking to send a message today as US President Donald Trump is just

35 miles from Kim's border meeting with his enemies in Seoul.

The rogue state has carried out six nuclear blasts in its history, the most recent on

September 3.

Watchdog group 38 North revealed new satellite imagery which proved "significant movement

of equipment" at the nuclear base.

War fears remain high as Kim refuses to give up its quest of nuclear-capable ICBMs.

Images dating from September 8 show gear around the tunnel used for the H-bomb test back in

the summer has been moved.

Meanwhile, equipment has been shifted to the west side of the mountain which could be "associated

with new nuclear test preparations".

North Korea's nuclear site has been in the spotlight after at least 200 died in a collapse

following the blast – with the test site said to becoming a "wasteland".

The Research Association of Vision of North Korea revealed the area is now "heavily

contaminated" with radioactive material.

Underground wells have been drying up and 80% of trees planted in the area have died.

Babies are also being born with deformities, according to reports.

There are growing fears the whole mountain-range could possibility collapse and unleash a radioactive

cloud over the Korean Peninsula.

"While it is not possible to determine the exact purpose of these activities from imagery

alone, they could be associated with new nuclear test preparations at the west portal, further

maintenance on the west portal in general and/or the abandonment of the north portal,"

said North Korea experts at 38 North.

They added the tunnels on the south side of the site "have been sufficiently prepared

to accommodate a test at any time".

Kim has rubbished reports of a collapse, dismissing it as "misinformation" circulated by Japan.

Three US aircraft carriers have arrived in the Pacific ahead of major war games in a

show of force to North Korea.

Speaking with his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in, Trump said: "We will together

confront North Korea's actions and prevent the North Korean dictator from threatening

millions and millions of lives."

Tensions have reached breaking point this year as Kim and Trump engage in a fiery war

of words.

TAX RETURN BASICS / SINGLE FILING STATUS / NO DEPENDENTS / FORM 1040 PERSONAL RETURN / CPA STRENGTH - Duration: 13:48.

yo yo-yo CPA strength here with another video yeah it's gonna be my best video

yet yeah I always tried do everything better this is gonna be tax tips for if

first so you know a little something about your tax return this is going to

be you make four dollars a week your filing status is single and you have no

dependents so like a super simple basic thing you're like I don't even know what

to do okay I just got my w-2 it says I made twenty thousand eight hundred

dollars what do I do well you go I RS gov you can find everything you need

here on irs.gov all right poke around a little bit it's

touch the buttons what I do is I touch every single button everywhere I go they

just reformulated this so look I'm looking for it form 1040 that's what

you're gonna file they have a 1040a or 1040ez but it's just smaller versions so

I just do straight 1040 all 1040 for a personal tax return this is what you're

gonna have to file if you're a person so if you listen to this you're probably a

person okay I mean I'm being sarcastic yes you are well look this is the 1040

form that you would fill out you could fill it out by hand and mail it in if

you want I mean that's the easiest thing now now I wanted to show you there's

also a thing called a publication 17 and that's where you want to go to get the

tax table which we're gonna we're gonna I'm gonna show you later in the body of

the the video so yeah this is the pub 17 and I mean you just know this on GP like

I had no idea the pub 17 existed before I started doing tax taxes tax returns

but they do a new one every single year and it's like the the Bible for taxes I

mean it's straight from the horse's mouth from the IRS and it's got

hyperlinks to everything so when I'm when I was bored I would just read this

thing so I hope right everybody so here we have a 1040 this is for 2016 but what

are we're gonna focus on could happen for any year I just want you to know a

little more than the average person about the tax returns that they file

every single year and more than most people as anything so I'm

not gonna really worry about too much this top you just put your name social

security at dress on here now you have five filing statuses to choose from and

each one there's certain requirements or whatever but we're going with the basics

because how can you do a more advanced topic if you don't know the basics so

you know I love the basics we're sticking with the basics so we're single

that's the filing status because it's just me it's just myself that's the

exemptions I have so filing status single exemptions just myself just one

exemption I don't have any dependents I don't take care of anybody yeah so so we

have one exemption and our funds has two single this'll this'll come to fruition

on the second page now I wanted to make this basic so I figured hey let's take

someone who has a job a 40-hour a week job make ten dollars an hour which

honestly is pretty decent I mean real life I mean I've worked for $8 an hour

in my 30s you know and before I got a raise to $10 but anyways that's besides

point so if you make 400 ollars a week on your w-2 you're gonna get w-2 for 20

thousand eight hundred dollars see look right here on line seven

you take your attachment form w-2 so that's that's where it goes as first

little section here on the 1040 is your income and that's all the income that we

have all the information that we need to file a tax return is going to be on your

w-2 and then to know how to do it the IRS website so the IRS website and your

w-2 is the only things you're gonna need well and of course to know what know

what to do so 20,000 is a very basic tax return so 20,000 $800 is how much we

made that year now I'm not gonna bother with any of this stuff these are above

page front page deductions just gross didn't

these are pretty rare if you just had a w-2 one little job that's all you did

very basic you're not gonna have any adjustments here so really adjusted

gross income is mostly just gross income so that's the same thing that's the

first page now I want you to notice just see drastic growth in AGI it adjusted

gross income is such a big number excuse me I'm gonna push up in my chair

sorry about that guys the adjusted gross income is the bottom

of the the bottom of the first page of the 1040 top of the second page the same

for the same number so it's really a huge number you know you're gonna think

it's a big number they put it twice for a reason all right so now we have twenty

thousand eight hundred we're gonna subtract our deduction now we're not

gonna we're not gonna itemize we're just gonna stand reduction what is it single

sixty three hundred okay yeah we're single filing status so minus sixty

three hundred leaves us with fourteen thousand five hundred exemptions well

how many exemptions did we have just one just just just me just you one person

one forty four thousand fifty so that leaves us with the taxable taxable

income of ten thousand four hundred and fifty you know like okay so yeah so now

we're going to go to that tax table and the pub 17 lets cut over to that yeah so

how do we know the tax well we go to the pub 17 we go to the tax table hyperlink

over here this is the text this is the tax table that you get so yeah I mean

just read it line line 43 your taxable income in what filing status you are so

we're single would we have ten thousand four hundred and fifty so let's look for

see it has a fifty dollar fifty usually a range here at least but less than so

mm no worked worth 10,000 so let's go down to 10,000 here ah 10,000 450 right

here look at that so 10,000 450 to 10,000 foot so that's us right here this

range that's us right here so we owe what is that one thousand one hundred

and eight dollars one thousand one hundred eight dollars is the tax we go

alright so we're back now we figured out how to get the 11 oh wait I think I

didn't say that was the first slot lever no wait there's different ones it's for

the different filing statuses I forgot to go over that but just just know

because really you'll be doing a tax program or you know if you're a tax

program we'll probably do this for you but you could look in the tax table

anyways so you owe your tax tax liability you owe the government 1108 at

this point now these are above line credits where your tax liability can't

go lower than zero so you can have negative liability so you could only

zero out non refundable credits this is what they call those here's tigers or

self-employment tax see we've already figured everything out we don't have

that but that's a huge one this is fifteen percent on the back end this is

really why I tell you to get an S Corp I shouldn't even have gone over that I'm

trying to make this fast now you're like dude what I 11 thousand

I love Oh eleven hundred and eight dollars this year no you don't look on

your w-2 and it's federal withholdings and actually I mean nothing's a secret

here you can you can look on you know like I said you make four hundred ollars

a year so you're gross your gross wages is twenty thousand eight hundred for the

year fifty two weeks four hundred four hundred a year but

that's not what you take home because you take home you - your taxes taxes

being Medicare and Social Security that's seven point six five percent so

if you make four hundred dollars that's about thirty dollars coming out of your

paycheck now I've I've said that the government

took out a one thousand one hundred eight dollars in federal withholdings

every week which is really not gonna happen in real life but for our purposes

here because I want to show you you know your tax liabilities 1108 but it depends

on how much you've already given them on your federal withholdings through the

whole year that determines see your total payments how much you've paid

through the year here and here's here's refundable credits but anyways you've

paid one thousand one hundred eight dollars through the year that's about

twenty a week - for thirty weeks of taxes so you bring home three hundred

and fifty so you know you have a job for four hundred you have twenty dollars a

week in federal income tax withheld and then 30 in Social Security Medicare so

you're taking home 350 every week this is what it would look look like come tax

time you would actually zero out because they say hey you owe us you we figured

everything out and you owe us one thousand one hundred eight dollars and

you're like oh okay that's cool but hey guess what I've given you one one

thousand one hundred eight dollars through the year so I I have zero I

don't owe you anything and you don't owe me anything

so that is that is the tax return this is a very very basic very basic tutorial

or whatever I don't know if is a tutorial I just I just want you to know

something about this which you know from this is my going into my seventh tax

season I realized that well III probably a little skewed because I get the tax

returns I do are obviously people who don't do it themselves so but it seems

like people don't know anything so they wouldn't they wouldn't know if I'm doing

a good job on their tax return or not like they don't know anything so how

they could check it is beyond me so I would like to see you

just know some of the basics and that way you know if you go some by all means

if you have a simple one like simple like this you're single you just have

one W two just try it yourself you know I will just try yourself

and if that seems too daunting you know go to go to a professional tax preparer

and you know but at least you can have an idea of what the tax returns gonna

come out to and which is more than anybody else and let's see you know I've

worked for H&R Block for something like this for a very simple simple tax return

if it's your first year they might do it for free

they might charge 40 50 bucks for this now as a small tax preparer which I am I

mean I have my own business I I I go through a tax software company called

pro series and I do a paid by a return thing so this would cost me thirty

dollars to print this out for a client so I have to charge someone at least

thirty dollars and you know so if you go to a smaller place I would say this

return could be I mean 75 to 100 dollars you know just because they have to make

some money anyways gosh I've talked way too long oh my god I have I have some

alerts from new after that's app new from Africa prison show that's my

favorite YouTube channel so I'm sorry I'm gonna have to go anyways if you have

questions please leave them down below if you want to see me do a different

scenario

trying to make videos that help people that's what I'm trying to do here that

is my main objective in making these videos is helping the most amount of

people because it makes me feel really good to help people

and you know what I'm gonna see you guys tomorrow you guys have a great but

whatever if you're because I have fans from across the world like when I when I

upload at 8 a.m. I got I got this guy saying oh he watches my video before he

goes to bed at midnight so I'm like oh my god

so whenever you're listening to this watching this just man let's let's enjoy

this life all right until tomorrow deuces

English at work - Episode 44: Computer Crisis - Duration: 5:36.

(Banging on computer) It's frozen.

Nothing will work…

Yeah and all my football scores…

I mean company accounts… have disappeared.

Can anyone get their computers to work?

Or is just me?

Welcome back to the offices of Tip Top Trading where, as you can hear,

there appears to be a bit of computer trouble.

Everyone's work seems to have disappeared.

This is serious so who can sort it out?

Leave it to me I'll sort it out.

(Pressing computer keys) You just need to switch it off… and on again … like that.

(Computer noises) Hold on, let's check…

Denise!

All my documents have gone now!

Oh, sorry, I was just trying to help.

You'll just have to call I.T.

Support, look, here's their number.

'It' Support?

No Anna not 'it' but I.T.

Support – information technology – sometimes called Computer Support.

Most big companies have them.

These are the people who sort out your computer problems

and get everything working again.

But be careful, they might ask some tricky questions.

OK, thanks.

But what should I say to them?

Tell them: "I am having problems with my computer", then say "the screen

keeps freezing" and "I seem to have lost some documents".

Tell them "I have turned the computer off and on but that

hasn't fixed it".

Finally, ask if they can help – please!

Well, I'll give it a try.

Here goes.

(Dials number and it rings) I.T., Dave speaking, how can I help?

Oh hello Dave – I'm having some computer problems – in fact everyone is

here.

Right.

What system are you using?

What system?

Yeah, what are you using?

PC, laptop, Windows XP?

Tell him it's Windows 7.

Erm… it's Windows 7 on a PC.

Good, good, this should be easy.

Were you using many applications when it crashed?

Applications?

Did you have lots of things open – documents, spreadsheets, videos, other

software?

Well, I suppose I did.

Right, well…

Anna isn't it?

Yes.

Right, well Anna, try pressing control, alt, delete, at the same time – after

that try opening Windows again.

OK.

(Shouting over to Tom) Tom, could you open the windows please.

What eh?

The windows?!

Yes.

Dave says so.

No, no, no.

Open Windows 7 on your computer.

Oh, silly me!

(Taps on keyboard) No, the screen just freezes.

I'm a bit worried because I think I've lost some documents.

Hmmm.

In that case the only thing to do is reboot it.

Reboot it?

You mean kick it?!

No!

Reboot means turn it on and off again.

Oh I see.

No Dave, I have already tried turning it off and on again but that

hasn't fixed it.

What am I going to do?

Don't panic!

I'll come and have a look.

You're on the 2nd floor right?

Oh dear.

This is a bit worrying but I'm sure Dave, the IT man, will get

things sorted.

Remember if you have important documents, it's best to

back them up on a memory stick just in case you have a problem like this.

Let's remind ourselves of the phrases we might use if we have to call

computer support: I am having problems with my computer

The screen keeps freezing I seem to have lost some documents

I have turned the computer off and on but that hasn't fixed it

Can you help, please?

(Lift doors open) Oh hi.

Is Anna here?

She's over there.

(Under the desk) So Anna, I'm just going to unplug the screen and put the

wire back in here…

OK Tom but are you OK down there?

Mind your head.

Excuse me, are you Anna?

I've come to fix your… computer.

Oh, hello… you must be…

Dave.

I really like your hair.

(Hits head on table) Ow!

Thanks.

You look rather lovely.

I'd better take a look at your computer.

Don't worry, it's OK, I think I've fixed it!

Looks like Tom has a rival.

Is Anna going to fall for the charms of Dave, the

IT man, or is he just going to upgrade her software?

This could get very interesting – but there's still work to

be done – so join us again soon for English at Work.

Bye.
