Youtube daily report w Nov 7 2017

Garmin made installing a power meter and training with power easier than ever.

With Vector 3 and 3S, it's literally just like putting pedals on your bike.

Before you install your new pedals,

you'll need a pedal wrench and some bike grease.

Start by removing your old pedals and cleaning the crank face.

Put a small dab of grease on the pedal threads

and screw the pedal onto the crank.

Use the pedal wrench to make sure the pedal is secure,

then repeat the process for the other pedal.

Once both pedals are attached,

you'll need to adjust your gear to check chain clearance.

Make sure the chain is resting on the largest chain ring and the smallest rear cog.

Turn the right crank arm until the right pedal is next to the chain.

It should be more than 2 mm from the chain.

If the inside of the pedal is less than 2 mm from the chain,

remove the pedal and add one of the included washers

between the pedal spindle and the crank arm.

To keep the left and right clearance the same, add a washer to the left side as well.

To pair the power meters with your Edge, rotate the pedals to wake them up.

Then go to Sensors, Search All and follow the on-screen instructions to finish set up.

To pair with your Garmin Connect mobile, rotate the pedals to wake them up.

Then click Add Device in the app

and enter the ANT+ ID on the side of the pedal.

Once you're paired with Garmin Connect,

you can make sure your software is up to date in device settings.

Now you're ready to ride!

O LUXO CORROMPE? | DOES LUXURY CORRUPT? | CLAUDIA FEITOSA-SANTANA - Duration: 3:18.

O Diabo pode não vestir Prada, mas a ciência sabe: ele gosta de luxo.

A mera exposição a artigos de luxo pode modificar a forma como nós percebemos o mundo

Alterando o nosso raciocínio e as nossas decisões

No caso do poder e do dinheiro

UNLUCKY NUMBERS IN JAPAN by Sebastiano Serafini in Japan - Duration: 3:34.

hello everyone and welcome to a new fantastic video from Japan

today I'm in this beautiful temple

that we had randomly found it while I was doing a photoshoot

an today I wanted to talk about superstitions in japan

what is the connection with the temple.. well there isn't one, but i still would like to talk about this

for those who doesn't know me, my name is sebastiano serafini I upload new video everyday at 2 pm (italian time) from japan

and if you have any question for me, please ask, I might responde you with a video message

this is a video that no one has actually requested me to do, but since I've talked about this briefly on my 3rd channel "sebastiano serafini a katsu"

I've decided to do this video, why not

so let me start by saying that i've read on wikipedia that black cat it's considered lucky in Japan

but both my moa and cameraman told me that it's unlucky

so you really can't trust wiki on this

(wait ... somebody it's coming, but let's home I can keep on recording this video anyway...)

let me focus on numbers, the majority of these believe come from western countries, such as china

and the most unlucky numbers in japan are 4 and 9

number 9 cos its sound like the verb kurushimu which means suffering

and number 4 it's even worse cos it sounds like death

and same in chinese, same character but you pronunce it "SHI"

it isn't rare in japan to see many hotels and hospitals avoide using the number 4 for rooms or floor numbers, because many people are superstitious

and they might not want to sleep in such rooms'/floors

and speaking of hospitals, if you are a pregnant woman you would avoid room number 43

becuase you read it SHIZAN which means child-death

and as for car race there probably wont be car number 42

cos you would read it SHINI which literally means go to death

it's kind of similar for us italian with the number 17

becuase for us 17 means death

cos if you write it in roman number XVII and you change the order of the letters you can write VIXI that from the latin means death

another number that is unlucky it's number 13, but that is not a japanese orginal superstition

so there isn't a real connection for japanese when they think about friday the 13th

maybe it is different for americans

if anybody of you knows why number 13 is an unlucky number, could you write a comment below? thank you!

another this I wanted to add about number 4

if you want to give as present to a japanese places, glasses, etc make sure that your set doesn't include 4 pieces

you can give set of 3-5-6-7-8-10 etc... be careful to give set of 4 (or 9)

because it's a little unlucky for japanese

I hope this video was useful and that this temple

(please yuka show this temple)

and I hope you like this temple

and also I wanted to thank you, we are growing and I'm having so much fun making these videos

I try to put some opening, dress up a little and find good locations XD

so thank you and I will wait for you tomorrow at 2 pm (italian time) too

please keep subscribing to this channel, subscribe your friends and enemies too

and if you have question don't forget to ask me in the comment section below

see you tomorrow, bye byeeee

Garmin Cycling Dynamics: Platform Center Offset - Duration: 0:35.

Platform Center Offset or PCO is a measurement that shows

how force is distributed across the pedal platform during the pedal stroke.

Knowing this can help you find your optimal cleat position and determine your proper bike fit.

Certain factors, like fatigue, can affect how you're pedalling.

Toward the end of a long training ride or race, your form can fade.

By tracking your PCO, you can see when this starts to happen and make the necessary adjustments.

INTERVIEWING MÁRCIA JAMILLE - Duration: 12:44.

Hi, guys! How are you?

My name is Patricia Fagundes and today I have a very special guest, Márcia Jamille.

Hello, guys. Are you ok?

My name is Márcia Jamille, I'm the administrator of the Egyptian Archaeology website, I'm an archaeologist

specialized in Ancient Egypt...

and that's basically it, really! :')

What's your opinion about the Ancient Egyptians' way of thinking

in the religious scope and in the interpersonal relations one?

I think it's interesting, because even though there's the funerary subject

that you see in the media, mainly

in documentaries, magazines and such...

because of the tombs, of the artifacts, such as

funerary amulets, that were used for protecting the deceased

and this idea that they were extremely obsessed by death

they were actually very much in love with life!!!

We see that in the daily artifacts that were found inside houses, in trash cans

that we see the exchange of letters, especially love poems

ehm... exchange of messages between relatives

people spelling out their care and that's really cool.

And when we see their religious thinking, there's that fixed thing about the afterlife

however, there are many gods devoted to parties, to love

and when you start to research that deeper, you see that other side of the Ancient Egyptian people

the Egyptians weren't that fixed thing that we normally see in books or articles

they're much more than that.

You wrote a book that you sell in your website...

can you talk a bit about it? Do you plan to write another book?

Yes, I wrote a book, it's this one: "A Journey Through the Nile"

and it was published by my own website, in 2014.

And it's an extension of the Egyptian Archaeology, because there are some of its texts, but revised and all

and there's also some original ones.

It sells on the website, we have a virtual store

but, sporadically, you can find it at some bookstore around there

because it's an independent book.

And yes, I plan to publish a second book, which is one about Tutankhamun

in fact, it's already in the review phase and I hope to bring it to you soon.

Well, since you talked about Tutankhamun, I'll skip to the (ui) Tutankhamun question here on the list...

NO!!! (メಠ益ಠ)

He probably didn't have a crooked foot (‡▼益▼)

ALRIGHT?!!! (҂ `з´ )

What? (•ิ_•ิ)?

No... it was... just...

well... ( ̄ω ̄;)

nevermind! ╮( ̄~ ̄)

So, speaking of Tutankhamun, I saw that you have a tattoo in your arm with his name

and with Ankhesenamun's name too, right?!

Yeah...

Why did you decide to make this tattoo? Explain it a little to us.

BECAUSE I WANTED TO!!! (╬ Ò﹏Ó)

MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!

When I was little, I already wanted to be an archaeologist

however, when I was at school, watching a History class

I saw a documentary in which Tut-...

Pharaoh Tutankhamun showed up.

I thought, right?! That it'd be cool to be an archaeologist specialized in Ancient Egypt.

And because of this moment, this...

that it was the reason to get me on this path

I decided to make a tattoo when I was in my graduation and finished it by the time I had my masters degree.

Then, the first one was this one, which is Tutankhamun's first name, that is Nebkheperura

and this one is Benu, that is a mystical Egyptian bird that I like a lot.

They say, some scholars, not everybody agrees

that it inspired the Greek phoenix, but that's just speculation.

And here there's Tutankhamun's name and his wife's one.

Simple like that.

That's cute!!! ( *≧з≦)

I'm so romantic!!! ♡\(︶∀︶)/♡

In one of your videos you've announced a new series about the Egyptian gods.

Do you have any estimated date to start launching it?

And do you have a favorite god among the five bazillion gods in the pantheon?

So...

there are two myths on my website...

two mythologies. :')

One of them is when my second book will be released

it was supposed to launch sometime ago

but because of the hidden chambers, quotation marks, in Tutankhamun's tomb, it still hasn't come out.

The other myth is about that series about the Egyptian gods

that everybody's asking for and I still haven't released.

It was supposed to come out in October, now, but unfortunately

the artist that makes the- the illustrations in the channel, she's not present, traveling, will be away for a month.

This series will possibly begin this next month, in November.

We're really quite happy with it

with some very cool ideas.

During a live, with my readers

it was decided that the first deity to be introduced will be god Anubis.

God of the necropolis

I wanted to start with my favorite god, by since my readers asked for Anubis, it'll be Anubis.

But my favorite god, can you guess who it is?

Bastet? (•ิ_•ิ)?

No, wrong! ( ̄ω ̄)

Damn!!! σ( ̄、 ̄〃)

Benu?? (〃 ̄ω ̄〃ゞ

Benu isn't a deity! (^▽^ ;)

Benu is the Ka of god Ra.

Ahhh...

so Ra??? ┐('~`;)┌

No!!! (≧▽≦)

I'm doing very good! 👌🏻( ̄~ ̄;;;)

Nobody has ever found out my favorite deity

it's god Bes, the dwarf god.

Dude, I was never gonna try that, he'd be like, the last of the list.

:')

I really like him, he's a protector deity, especially of kids

and protectors of...

protetor of sleep...

of dreams!

(I almost didn't say it right. :') )

And my second favorite deity is goddess Hathor

that one I think many of my readers already know of.

What's your favorite theme in the area?

What area? (@_@' )

Fuc- from Egypt, I don't know... ╮( ̄ω ̄;)╭

From Egyptian Archaeology... ヽ(;; ̄ω ̄)ノ

It's because there are so many areas...

deities, religion, mummification, geez...

there are many areas, there ya go...

see...

you didn't know!!! ( ˘ 、 ˘ )

Ok, I'll stop...

it's Ancient Egypt... right.

What do you prefer in Egyptian Archaeology? What's the theme you like to study about the most?

Theeeeere!!! ╰(▔∀▔)╯

My favorite area is Funerary Archaeology

here in Brazil, some call it "Death Archaeology"

or "Funerary Practice Archaeology".

Unfortunately I didn't follow that path, I ended up going to Aquatic Environments Archaeology

which is also very cool.

That's where we talk about aquatic symbology, vessels

and the paper of the water in society, that sort of stuff.

But what I really like is this, Funerary Practice Archaeology.

I really like mummification and I hope, ONE DAY, record a special video about mummification

or even, who knows, write a book about mummification in Ancient Egypt

but I really like the social matter of death, how people dealt with it

the religious matter, the tomb organization, that sort of stuff.

I never told this in video, I'm almost sure I never did, but...

during my graduation I mummified a mouse!

DAMN!!! (〣O_O)

It was already dead, I didn't kill the poor thing, ok? ( ̄ヘ ̄)

I was a natural mummification

because there is the artificial mummification, that's the anthropic mummification, right? Done by people

and there's the natural mummification, which is done by the environment, by nature

so I used a space, took this dead mouse, left it there and kept watching it.

The problem is that I- I think I was in the second semester in the university and I wasn't very smart

relating to the fact that I had to take notes of data, right?!

because this is science, you must write down the data so that you can compare it later

I didn't do that, so...

I don't know where I took this animal from

I now don't know where it is, how long it took to be mummified

but I do remember his name...

his name was Bob! (⌒_⌒;)

I baptized it with a lot of care.

Miss ya Bob. o(TヘTo)

hashtagbob

#bobforever

What's funny about it? (‡▼益▼)

Bob is dead, you know?! ( ಥ益ಥ)

It's not cool to laugh about it!!! (╬ Ò﹏Ó)

Absurd!!!! (҂ `з´ )

If you had a time machine

and could choose a single moment in the Egyptian History

to see live, what would it be and why?

Whoooooa!!! That's tough, huh?! ∑(O_O;)

Hehe... <( ̄ω ̄)>

As an archaeologist, of course I'd choose to see the construction of the Great Pyramid, right?! In Giza.

My favorite pyramid is the step one, Djoser's pyramid.

but I'd choose the Great Pyramid, because at least I'd know for a fact how it was built.

We only have a few ideas

something here, another there, for example, what was scooped from the plateau

a text was found and it talked about the pyramid's construction

but we don't know how the blocks were moved.

There are some iconographies that give us some idea, but we're not 100% sure about it

just this idea in the air, which is the matter of the sleds

we know that to drag statues, for example, they used sleds and human strength

maybe this was how the stones were dragged.

Now, taken to their places with clay ramps, right, that were found in the site.

But, as a person that likes Ancient Egypt, I'd wanna go to the 18th dynasty

and watch the Opet procession of pharaoh ehm... Tutankhamun with his wife ‎Ankhesenamun

I'd really like to see that, because it's really interesting, there is iconographic record of that

that each had their ow- their own vessel

and they sailed in the nile, so that people could see it

so I'd like to be there in this moment.

Too bad I wouldn't be able to speak a thing in Ancient Egyptian, but, at least I'd be there watching.

It'd be like, watching a movie in German, you know?!

Not understanding anything. :')

If you were born back then, who would you like to be, or what would you like to do?

GEEZ, THAT'S HORRIBLE!!! \(º □ º l|l)/

Hey, Ancient Egypt weren't a very nice place to live at all, huh?

It was bread with stones, the beer looked like a messed up porridge...

nnn... nope! ( ̄. ̄;) (hahaha)

Make up was weird!

No... just for the fact that they didn't have air conditioning and internet, I'm out!

DAMN!!! ( : ౦ ‸ ౦ : )

To stay without internet, guys...

That's unbearable, right?!

Only listening to scribes' mumbo jumbo... no, thanks.

Anyway, but what was the question again?

Who'd you like to be or what would you like to do?

Nah...

OF COURSE I'D WANT TO BE A PHARAOH!!! :V

I wouldn't wanna choose any other profession... :')

What a horror being a peasant and suffering like hell by getting beaten because I didn't

pay the taxes...

Or even, having to be a soldier...

to run around nearly naked and have to fight another person

with the certainty of almost dying.

No... thanks!!!

I'd wanna be a pharaoh and stick to my palace, going over there in a small temple...

sweet... nice! 👍🏻

Telling people to stop some rebellions over there in Nubia, you know?!

If someone showed up and said...

"No... you can't be a pharaoh because everybody already chose this..."

"all reincarnations are pharaohs, right?"

There are already too many Tutankhamuns, many Cleopatras, so you're gonna have to be something else!

Then I'd say...

so... (¬ ¬)

I'm gonna be a scribe! ╮(︶︿︶)╭

Yeaaah, there's no other way, right?! ( ̄、 ̄〃)

So... ┐( ˘ 、 ˘ )┌ that's ok

Right... there's no other way, so, I wanna be a scribe!

But if they say I can't be a scribe

Then I'd say...

"Ahh, dude..."

"so I want to be a priest, or priestess, right?!"

Like a divine worshiper, see, how nice?

But I'd want to be a woman pharaoh, ok?

Don't wanna be a male pharaoh, no!

To show that women can also rule! (︶︹︺)

Like Hatshepsut. I wanna be in this level, ok?

To build a big and beautiful funerary temple...

to send some research expeditions, recognition expeditions...

there... bayum..

to take care of a stepson that will soon enough try to erase my image

bam... pam...

stuff like that, very cool!!!

:')

Ahh, that part about erasing your image we can leave aside, right?! ('~` ;)

Nah, after I'm dead, there's no problem at all!!! :x

A butterfly came into my room...

it's the ghost of Hatshepsut saying...

"Hey... the hell are you talking about me, you clown?" (‡▼益▼)

What was the most unexpected or funniest situation that happened to you

while you were working?

I was with a team getting in the- the woods

and I had to walk ahead of them, because I had the GPS

and my boss was beside me, on this day he was walking with me.

And he liked, sometimes, to try to make me get scared

I was horrible to get scared, I would never get scared

(that happened only once).

Then I was walking, and then he jumped in front of me and went like...

he put his arm in front of me and said I couldn't move forward and pointed and said...

"LOOK AT THAT!!!" ヽ(°〇°)ノ

Then I turned to him, already pissed off, and said...

THAT WON'T SCARE ME! STOP FOOLING AROUND, LET ME WORK IN PEACE!!! ٩(╬ʘ益ʘ╬)۶

And then he said...

"No.... over there, right there!!! ヽ(°ロ°")ノ

There was a frog like THIS BIG!!!\(〇_o)/

The frog was the size of a huge coconut

hidden.

If he hadn't warned me, I'd have stepped on a

GIGANTIC frog!!! ლ(°△°|||ლ)

Just to wrap it up...

Which came first...

the egg or the chicken???

HA HA HA!!!

That question was already answered!!! (︶▽︶)

The egg!!!

Because of the dinosaurs and the dinosaurs laid eggs.

Now if you ask me... which came first, the egg or the dinosaur?

Then it's complicated... ( ̄. ̄;)

And which came first, the egg or the dinosaur???

Ahhh, not funny...

ask that to a paleontologist, I'm not a paleontologist

I'm an archaeologist! (;⌣̀_⌣́)

<(*˘▽˘*)>

( ╥ω╥ )

I hope you've enjoyed this video.

Please share it with ALL your friends!

Don't forget to also subscribe to Márcia's channel, it's really interesting and I super recommend it!

Ok, now if you want to give a final message, to announce anything specific...

you can do it now.

To those people who have the dream of becoming an archeologist

or, who knows, an egyptologist

don't give up on the first challenges because the academic world is really complicated

it's painful...

there will be days that you'll think "What am I doing here?"

But it's that thing...

when you see a successful archaeologist

(you must know some, if you're in love with Archaeology)

or a successful egyptologist

you only see what's in front of you, but you don't see the battles they fought behind.

So, be patient, unfortunately

life isn't easy, you know? :')

Study a lot, prepare to write articles

remember you'll have a like in a lab

and sometimes it's a lonely life, but try not to reduce yourself to that.

Remember there are people around you, ok?

I say this from the bottom of my heart, because I know a lot of colleagues that simply forget they have a family

and live only for the academic world.

It's that thing...

Archaeology is cool, Ancient Egypt is cool, but remember there are living people beside you

don't stick around thinking only about the dead ones who...

died 500 years, 3.000 years ago...

You have a life!!! ( ◡‿◡ *)

AHH, but I said something really beautiful, guys! (*¯▽¯*)

Wow, now I'll write a self-help book!!! (* ̄ω ̄)

Ahh, by the way, guys. I don't have only one channel, no...

Besides Egyptian Archaeology, I have a personal channel and there's also Uncovering the Past

I gotta sell myself, right?! ┐(︶▽︶)┌

I wanna go to Korea!!! u.ú

And always remember...

be creative!!!

"Just Dance" - Ramble - Duration: 5:04.

Hello, I am Kaynil

and I am making this video just because I feel this is something important to me.

If you're overweight you're beautiful and it doesn't matter your shape,

what matters is your health

and if you're deciding to lose weight or just deciding to become more active,

it is important that you find something you like to do.

It's important you're enjoying the process.

To not see it as something terrible that you have to do, like a chore.

I consider myself a gamer, but there is a huge backlash about certain kind of games

because now that the gaming industry has become more open

and it is trying to attract more people, it is becoming a lot more broad.

What I have behind me is one of those games called 'Just Dance'.

This game is not very well received between gamers because it is in essence not really a 'game'.

What you're doing is following the instructions in the screen.

It's basically like an exercise routine.

And...

But the thing is, I like dancing and I like the convenience of this game.

So I just want to say don't stop yourself because other people are going to say

'that's no good that you support this kind of thing' but don't you pay attention to that.

If it is something that it is giving you result, if it is something you're enjoying,

go for it.

I wouldn't be this drenched. I wouldn't be doing this much exercise.

I am doing a lot more exercise in these last weeks that I have had probably in a good while

because I am doing something I enjoy.

I don't put it everyday but every time I put it,

I juice it until I am completely out of energy and it is quite enjoyable for me,

and I think for other people around my weight

It is kind of embarrassing trying to go to a gym or trying to go to any other public

place, because we have a huge shell of insecurities about our bodies and about other people, and

because we have experienced people voicing that kind of thing to us. So it is really

hard to overcome.

So things like this. Things like this game. This, like you tube videos, allows you to

do this kind of exercising in the comfort of your home, in the comfort of just being

by yourself or being around people wouldn't mind it or wouldn't judge you for it and this

is what we need. This is like what anyone who wants to get active again needs. Especially

when we're insecure about our own bodies.

So, if you don't like this kind of games that's cool but don't bash other people for liking

them or for doing this kind of thing and don't bash a person just because they're overweight

because you cannot know by the way they currently look if they have actually been doing exercise

if they have been struggling to try to lose that weight.

The best you can help someone is not by shaming them, because you're not telling them anything

new. You're not making them feel any better and you'e not making them feel any worse because,

you know, a lot of people you have been shaming have already heard it all in their own heads,

because we're the first ones to tell ourselves bad crap.

So if you have someone you want to help in anyway the first thing you have to do is to

respect that person. To understand them. To understand where that person stands. To understand

what that person wants to do and to be supportive.

Anyway, this is what I wanted to express, I felt like it was important and I didn't

want to let the thought pass.

I hope you are all doing well and I'll talk to you in another rant.

C'ya!

Tony Robbins: How to Define Yourself ( Tony Robbins Motivation ) - Duration: 16:01.

The strongest force in the human personality is the need to remain

consistent but how we define ourselves I'm going to say that again

the strongest force in the human personality is the need to remain

consistent with how we define ourselves what does that mean we live in a world

of so much uncertainty now because change happens how often constantly

men's roles women's roles jobs environments businesses bam bam bam it's

all changing so we have a need as human beings for certainty we're not certain

about relationships businesses time we're not certain about a lot but one

thing at least were certain on us I know who I am if you don't know that you

freak out you have what's called an identity crisis we can't make any

decisions you're freaking out so we all define ourselves subconsciously so some

people see themselves as being extraordinary conservative how they're

gonna do something crazy they're gonna know hey hey I'm not that kind of person

what kind of person I don't know but I'm not that kind of person

then they're true if you think you're outrageous you move differently you talk

to me you do things differently there's no one right or wrong but most of us

have trapped ourselves in an old identity we've never updated who we are

today and so you go learn something a skill a talent or ability but your

identity is this is Who I am and so you never far surpass it I'll give you a

metaphor and this will make more sense if in this room we set the thermostat at

78 degrees and the temperature drops let's say 78 degrees is a metaphor for

your comfort zone not your goals your comfort zone which is known as your

identity and people have goals that are more than their identity that's why they

don't usually get their goals unless they expand their identity so 70 degrees

is how about your body weight not your goal but the one you're comfortable with

that you live regularly 70 degrees is how much intimate emotion you have in

your personal relationship 70 degrees is how much money you need to

make to feel comfortable not your ultimate goal but your comfort zone 70

degrees is the kind of relationship you need to have with God it's a 70 degrees

and let's say the temperature drops to 72 what happens

this thermostat in your brain goes hey hey hey I am a 78 degree or not 72 and

what happens heaters kick on the heaters kick on to give you some kind of drive

to change it to make it better to do something how many have ever experienced

the part of your life your body your finances somewhere where it dropped and

it wasn't good enough and you felt drive to change it how many have that

experience say I now if it's 72 degrees you're supposed to be at 78 you try to

change it it doesn't work and try something else doesn't work try

something as dozens work after a while nobody wants to have disappointment in

pain so what some people do is they lower the thermostat they go I'm not 78

agree I'm a 72 degree those 78 degree years have full themself I'm downsizing

and being smarter next thing you know they're at 68 then they're at 54 by the

way when they get to 54 who do these surround themselves with 78 degree

people who do they surround themselves with 50 degree people so they can feel

good about themselves in a regular basis isn't it true now you people are not

like that you're all overachievers so if you drop down to 78 degrees excuse me 72

degrees you don't settle you try something doesn't work do something else

do something else breakthrough get a simmer I learned something get a cut

whatever thinks I do it and by the way you stop when you get back to 70 degrees

people yes or no no you get to 80 85 90 95 98 99 degrees and also your brain

goes what are you doing who do you think you are you're not a 99 degree what are

you doing up here what are you doing and as soon as you realize you're outside

your comfort zone your brain clicks on and guess what happens the heater stop

and you lose your drive and now instead of selling you're shopping right now all

of a sudden you're in a position where if that's not enough the air

conditioners kick on and you begin to sabotage yourself to get you back to

where you think you deserve to be how many of you I know none of you have done

this but have we've seen other people sabotage themselves how many other

people do this cuff stuff I thought so right how many of you ever sabotage

yourself say hi can you raise your hand you lie about

other things too don't you come on how many have been in a relationship and

it's going really well and then you like say something why do they say that you

know what's gonna screw it up probably never done this say I so sabotage is

because you're outside your comfort zone you're behind your identity so the

reason I tell you this is today to get the most another stay one change

your state because the fastest way to change your identity is to do things you

don't normally do and your brand ago I don't do this I just did it it felt good

maybe I could do this who maybe have more does that make sense what gives you

the edge it's understanding why people do what they do doesn't understand why

you can have a powerful positive influence says everything human beings

do they do for one of two reasons we know what they are to avoid what or to

gain what now as overly simplistic as that is everything we do to avoid pain

or gain pleasure it's not quite true here's what I mean by that we avoid what

we associate pain - we don't avoid real pain we avoid what we associate pleasure

- because we're not dogs as human beings can we decide to make something that's

painful actually pleasurable is that possible yes or no can a hunger striker

go on a strike and feel the physical pain of hunger and convert that into

ecstatic feelings because they believe they're doing something that's morally

right yes or no so we have the power to change what things mean to us and

therefore what we feel in our body about them we are not just like dogs you know

a Nelson Mandela can be locked up for almost 27 years right and be in a

position where it wasn't painful when I met him the first time I said how did

you survive that and he looked at me with this really indignant look like how

dare you even use such a word I looked at him he said I didn't survive that he

said I prepared I thought whoa he said I knew one or two things would happen

either I would die and it would spark a revolution of change or I would live and

I have to be prepared to lead and to be a real leader I didn't to be prepared

for that I mean can you imagine man coming out and want to kill everybody

someone took a quarter of a century of your life he might be just a smidge

upset wouldn't you but instead he comes out and says you know what you guys have

put me in jail lead with me that's what human beings are capable of but that

means taking control of what equals pain and what equals pleasure most of us they

live like dogs we let other people train us what equals pains our pleasure so we

fit into their world we must take control that process and

leadership management salesmanship is all influence which is changing what

people link pain and pleasure to as long as someone things pain to something they

want to avoid it I think my pleasure to it they're gonna go for it let's take an

example what all the ladies in the room when all the women in the room please

raise their hands so we can see the women Wow keep your hands up

we're we might even have slightly more women than men in this room wow that's

amazing okay great so we have about 40 to p40

200 people here so let's let's take it as 2,100 out of 2,100 women I'd like to

do a survey how many women this room are wearing makeup this morning raise your

head if you're wearing makeup Wow should be a makeup salesman in this room right

okay all right how many you're not wearing makeup that'll be an easier

thing to measure okay keep me hands up 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 26 28 30

32 34 36 38 40 42 44 46 48 50 so half weighs 50 so let's say there's even a

hundred out of 20 100 women max there's 100 not wearing makeup

2,000 wearing makeup only 100 not now why is that it's because women love the

process of putting on the makeup how are you a good morning oh I'd love to do

this how many do it for that reason okay couple women on drugs there's usually a

few okay how many do not like to put on makeup but you like the result ie you

associate pleasure too if I wear makeup you know I feel more attractive other

people more attractive to me how many do it for pleasure regions say I how many

women in this room sometimes wake up and think how good men don't have to do this

but how many of you put it on anyway because you think if I don't put on a

makeup someone's gonna say what happened to your face don't you do it to avoid

pain ladies out there to avoid pain how many do for both these reasons I see a

show hands now how many men in the room were

wearing makeup how many men in the room wearing makeup

one man thank you sir very much why aren't men wearing makeup is because men

are so naturally beautiful yeah I'm beautiful babe no I don't think

so but it's because we associate something different for a man wearing

makeup in a woman that's all and for a man it will usually equal pain in this

culture okay well it's for a woman equals pleasure everything we do drop us

down anywhere you want your notes just write down this what I linked pain to

and what I linked pleasure to shapes my destiny what I linked pain to and what I

linked pleasure to shapes my destiny what I like pain to what I linked

pleasure to shapes my destiny no what does this mean well lots of things shape

our destiny and I don't know what your spiritual beliefs alright I certainly

believe in God and I believe that there are choices that are there but I think

God gives you choices and I believe your decisions are what shape your destiny

how many believe that you make choices and they shape your destiny say now if

that's true and I don't know that it is but if that's true your decision shape

your destiny what shapes your decisions and the answer is whenever you're gonna

do something it's what you associate if you think it's massive pain to do that

and this is gonna be pleasurable it's not hard to figure out that your

decision-making shapes your destiny but what shapes your decision-making what

you link pain and pleasure to that's your whole life so what's interesting is

we all have learned ways to get out of pain and into pleasure

some people do drugs some people drink alcohol

some people find a way to take care of their family or their kids or society

some people achieved overcome that pain some people eat everybody's got

different ways and whatever ways you've learned as ways to get out of pain and

the pleasure is shaping your destiny right now say I'm here to tell you that

Mother Teresa god rest her soul and Donald Trump are

driven by the same force you say Robbins you sounded somewhat intelligent up

until now you try to tell me those two people that are both alive that they

were both driven by the same force that's insane

Donald Trump clearly is driven by economics and she's driven by changing

the world true but they're driven by what they've learned a link pain and

pleasure to see Donald's learned a link pleasure to being number one build

the best building you know building a brand having money etc etc and being

number two is equal to death that'll give you some motivation right mother

Teresa is equally driven I had the privilege of meeting her before she

passed on I don't know if you remember but she at one time had a heart attack

when she was down in San Diego California I lived there and I flew in

the night afterwards and I know when the top heart surgeons in the country and I

went to go see her to see if she was gonna get that kind of care and when I

went to see her she was already out of the hospital in the middle of the night

the nuns had taken her out without the doctors knowing he imagined being the

hospital that lost mother Teresa and she left a note that basically said I'm busy

not exactly but she said listen thank you so very much don't worry about me

I'm okay now I can't sit in this hospital bed people need me and so she

said I'm going across the border to Tijuana in Mexico and if you want to

help me don't send me flowers send me a mobile medical unit which is like a

giant ambulance with special stuff so she can get up to people that don't get

health services so I read about the thing in the paper it was on the news

that night and Scripps hospitals talking about well we're gonna have a board

meeting to talk about this and four days later still nothing had happened so I

called a friend of mine Martin Sheen the actor and I said Martin I know you love

them on the trees and he's a friend of mine it's now about you and I going

together let's buy this mobile medical unit and that's not called a press

conference it's not doing for any reason let's just deliver it to her if we're

lucky we'll meet her and if we don't we'll have done a good thing so Martin

agreed we went negotiated we bought the thing we drove it ourselves crossed the

border went down there and we meet mother Teresa now remember I told you

state is what influences people so much I mean this woman her state of love was

so much you just felt permeated but plus you changed sticker she's about that

tall like how you doing how are you got this picture she and I waving like this

you know so I'm talking to her and I'm a believer in the idea of modeling

modeling is the concept that success leaves clues that if someone is

successful again and again and again they are not lucky they're doing

something right and if you sow the same seeds you'll reap the same one rewards

doesn't matter your gender your age your color your background your history

that matters if you so you're gonna read previous oh the right scenes so I've

spent most of my life modeling this seminar comes from modeling the best

influencers that I know and putting into a package that we can all use so I

thought man Mother Teresa she's a saint I'm with a saint I could model a st.

sessom mother Tracy you might ask if I ask you a few questions

she said no let me find Johnny I said I'd like to know what gives you ecstasy

in life what gives you absolute total ecstasy and then the second time I said

ecstasy my ecstasy a nun all right I was like well what like juices you and I

want juices you and she start god I thought she's choking to death I was

about to give her mouth-to-mouth I know I thought maybe I should wait and

I realized she was laughing she had this cackle laughter she said you can use the

word ecstasy with me I said really I said all right well what gives you

ecstasy I'll never forget she paused she looked at me she said Tony what gives me

ecstasy is to see a person die with a smile on their face

and I thought not number one on my list

but in that moment can you see why she went to 76 countries the last year of

her life when her heart was terrible see she wasn't always this way time she was

50 years old she was a schoolteacher she was a nun but she taught the richest

kids in India and she wasn't helping people that were dying she had an

experience that changed her life changed what meant pain and pleasure the man was

dying she was in the city of joy as that's called is not a beautiful place

as man was dying he saw she was not he tripped into her and fell in her arms

and she couldn't drop him and him sister sister please help me please help me she

want someone else to help but she couldn't so she took him to hospital try

to drop him off he said please they won't help me please stay with me

and he begged her and after a while she realized that they didn't help him

because he was a vote in that country a lower caste took him another hospital by

the third Hospital nobody helped him so she took him home and he died in her

arms heavy in one moment she changed what equals pain in what equals pleasure

it used to be being around a dying person was alternate pain now not

helping a dying person was the greatest pain of her life he tried to leave the

feeling she got in a train and went away from the city but you can't leave what's

inside you so she promised God that as long as she lived no one within the

range of her influence would ever die again without dignity and love she keep

a word because it became her standard my friends not her desire and she lived

How to Teach Your Child Prayer | Prayer Tutorial Part 3 - Duration: 2:50.

Hey guys! Shawn here. If you are new, welcome to my channel, PrayerLights,

where I do Christian mommy vlogs to help you raise a Jesus loving child.

Today's 2-minute tip is on how to teach your child to pray. So if you are looking

for three tips, keep watching. Practice prayer, find the creativity, and

understand the why. These are my three tips to help you teach your child how to

pray. 1) Practice Prayer. Practice prayer yourself. Model how you want your child

to pray and that is how your child will pray. If you pray at meal times then

your child will pray at meal times. If they see you praying at church, then your

child will model that behavior as well. My son and i have a habit of when

something comes on the radio or if we pass an accident on the road, and we're

in the car, then we say a prayer, with our eyes open, of course, for the situation,

for the people involved at the accident. I have modeled that prayer for my child.

Remember to find the creativity. So find some creative ways to pray to teach your

child how to pray based on their age group level. So for Preschoolers you

might be interested in prayer cubes. For early elementary students you might just

be interested in regular setting a regular routine at meal time. And for

older children, might be interested in learning how to pray with color or

learning how to pray with prayer beads. There's a variety of creative ways to

pray. If you are interested in exploring some different ways to pray, then check

out my creative prayer playlist that i will link in the description box down

below or in a card up above for some creative ways to pray. And my last tip

for teaching your child how to pray is to understand the why. Teach them to

understand why you pray. why? why do we pray? It's a conversation with God not

just to God but with God. Not just for things but for conversation with God.

Children can learn not just to ask for stuff for themselves but to intercede to pray

on behalf of other people. There are all different types

of prayer, ways to hold a conversation with God.

Practice prayer, find creativity, and understand the why are my three tips for

teaching your child how to pray. You may also have some really great ideas for

teaching your child. Please leave those in the comment section down below so

that all of us can learn from your ways as well. Thanks so much for watching this

video. If you are new to my channel please hit the subscribe button so that

you get notified when I post new videos which I do every week. I will see you

in my next video. I think I hear my baby crying. I'll talk to you later. Bye!

Tony Robbins: Getting STUCK in the Negatives and How to Get Unstuck - Duration: 14:29.

[Applause]

see it as it is see it better than it is

make it the way you want it let me give

you five steps to really utilizing the

power of positive thinking even I always

said this is about negative thinking and

let me show you how to use negative

thinking in an assignment how to make

negative thinking something that's

useful for you so step number one decide

to develop the habit right now the habit

of focusing on what's right in your role

instead of what's wrong the habit of

focusing on what you do have and said

what you don't have in a situation and

then basic as that is and as well as you

know it you've got to make it a habit

because those habits form the chain of

your ultimate character will you become

and how you end up living your life

we've got to condition ourselves because

if we don't we'll go back to the

automatic state that most people live in

in today's society the way to develop

the habit is to go on a mental diet I

did this several years ago as positive

as I was I was going through

unbelievable pain at the time I'd have

some major disappointment some

frustrations I felt like I'd given it

all but turned me around and one day I

picked up this book called a seven-day

mental diet it was a little tiny little

booklet and all the booklet really did

was for about 12 of the 14 pages it

challenged me to really see if I could

really truly for seven days live my life

without one negative font and it kept

saying throughout the book now don't

just say yeah I can do it don't just say

I'm going to do it think for a while

before you commit to this don't actually

commit unless you're really going to do

it for seven straight days no matter

what it doesn't mean you don't have a

negative thought it just means that if

you have a negative thought you don't

speak it you set it aside you forget

about it or you replace it you say

something negative you go erase what I

really mean is this or you say that's

not what I mean here's what I mean is

this and you immediately focus on

something good not that nothing negative

ever comes out it's that you immediately

do not allow yourself to hold a negative

feeling a negative thought for seven

straight days day and night even when it

gets tough even with somebody disappoint

you even when you get frustrated even

when you give your all and still turns

up lousy listen if all he did was rant

rave on the state and you didn't listen

anything else I said but you took on the

seven day challenge you can't believe

what it'll do to your life now I got to

tell you when I first read the book I

thought wait a second being positive

isn't going to change my life I got to

be able to real problems are

those real challenges that are out there

I don't just be positive something says

how's it going to go I'm doing great and

I go why you know I don't know but I

just feel good I don't wanna be that way

I want to be real I want to be on top of

things but you know what I thought wait

a second I can be positive about

solutions

I can still notice that there's some

challenges out there without being

negative about it I can look at the

challenges and say okay here's what's

good about this here's how we can use

this here's how we can turn this thing

around and continue to focus on that so

I took on the challenge for seven days

changed my life

now by the way one of the keys is you

have to have seven straight days of

being absolutely positive not one

negative thought not one negative

expression that you hold on to gotta let

go of it immediately if you do not do

this if you're three days into it you do

well then you have a bunch of negativity

you got to start over and you know what

after you go about four five six days in

a row doing really well something major

negative is going to happen how's that

person positive programming but what it

is is the test is the out committed you

really are I say something after seven

days you feel like a different person

people around you respond to you like

you're different as well all you want to

do is establish the habit of noticing

what you do have instead of what you

don't have noticing what's great about a

situation versus what's not great

focusing on solution instead of problems

that's what changes your life

here's key number two instead of judging

yourself and others decide remember

these are decisions decide right now to

become curious instead of judgmental

remember when you find fault in other

people when you start noticing

constantly how they've wronged you how

this person is not good enough or

they're too egotistical they're too

proud if they don't really care about

people soon as you start judging other

people you just got to remember

something if you start judging other

people you can also start judging

yourself intensely if you're angry at

other people is a very good chance

you're angry at yourself as well maybe

proceed more in judge less maybe instead

of finding fault with other people

without really thinking about what

they've gone through to be where they

are this day maybe get really curious

about what's making this person be in

the state they're in or what's the

motivation behind this person's anger

for example lot of times I think

something's being negative or angry or

frustrated with them but we never

bothered to find out what's really going

on I know myself I was a party recently

I fell prey to this there was a woman

who came to the party everybody behind

her back them with how unbelievable

egotistical this woman how

she was you know when I sat next to her

at dinner time I got a chance to really

find out who she was I got curious about

her I'm gonna find about all the pain

she's been through in her life when I

realized was this woman was just barely

hanging on to her life she doesn't even

know that people care but she was so

afraid of being rejected that she put

out this ego because she didn't want

someone to reject her so she figured she

rejected them first and I got a chance

to really know and she was a wonderful

person I play something else we got to

be careful of that ties in with this are

far being judgmental out of our fear of

having heroes in our society today

we seem to try and consume them and

destroy them as quick as we can we try

to find something that's wrong with our

heroes because boy we don't want another

Jim Jones another Jim Baker remember we

got a judge less perceive more we got to

get curious instead of living in a

society where we're so afraid so afraid

to believe in anything or anyone that we

believe in nothing at all and we lose

our power our power of positive thinking

we try to protect ourselves and things

we maybe not even need to protect

ourselves from or we live in a society

where we try and destroy our heroes

where we take something like Barbara

Walters incredible broadcaster a woman

of incredible integrity who gets nailed

by one person in the book and it's in

every newspaper across the land how she

probably stomped on people to get where

she was that's absurd

our Martin Luther King after he's passed

on somebody comes back and stomps all

over his career his reputation is that

the society want to live in any person

who takes Glee and watching another

person's pain will experience plenty of

pain themselves remember the quote he

was without sin let him cast the first

stone the bottom line is if you go

looking for brown you're going to find

it anywhere you look for in others or

yourself free yourself from the disease

of making others wrong and you'll free

yourself from the disease and making

yourself wrong you have a lot more

energy to create solution instead of

problems it's part of the power of

positive thinking instead of falling for

the destructive power of negative

thinking if you want to get curious just

ask yourself what do I like about this

person wonder what's going on with this

person that would make them feel this

way how could I help this person as you

guys these kinds of questions you may

learn something about how human being is

operate about their motivations maybe

even some things about how to support

yourself as you try to support others

remember get curious instead of

judgmental here is key number three if

you really want to develop the power

our thinking as a habit as a lifestyle

or the strategy for success then decide

right now to find something to

appreciate from any seemingly negative

person or situation and develop the

habit of giving compliments see if you

really want to have some more positive

feelings in your life you gotta keep

focusing on what's right you got to get

curious and most importantly you got to

find something to appreciate even in the

tough times because in reality is we've

talked about so often before the

toughest times in your life sometimes

provide you with the real resources to

change your life so what we've got to do

is find something to appreciate not some

day when things work out we gotta

appreciate where we are right now and

this is something I talk to my daughter

Jolie about today because she's in an

experience today where I thought well

gosh she's not being very positive I'm

going to talk about positive thinking

cuz she came in to see me and she's

feeling really sad she's feeling really

damn feeling really frustrated and her

problem is

her problem is she tried out and won the

right to be amongst three girls who

dance in the electric light parade at

Disneyland that was about three or four

months ago she has been going there

after school every day driving from San

Diego up to Anaheim burning herself into

the ground getting up and going to

school to be a straight-a student still

I'm trying to visit with her family and

her boyfriend and she found herself

maxing out nothing about her problem a

problem is that she gets to be at

Disneyland and fulfill a childhood

fantasy a problem is that she had loves

her family and wants to be with them as

well her problem is she loves to be at

school and really do that her problem is

she has so much abundance that she has

to figure out how to get on one day and

she can't do it she's physically burning

out that's her problem you know what she

says gosh I want to be home I want to be

with you guys and all these things I

want I don't want to miss out on all

this great time we have together I want

to be with you guys I said behind look

what you're doing she goes yeah well I

don't want to miss out on Disneyland

either I don't want to miss out on my

career and what I'm doing what's going

on what's the problem the problem is

she's finding out what's negative in

both situations she's focusing on what

she doesn't have instead of what she

does have now I could be negative about

that and say gosh be more positive but

you know what reality I realized being

negative in this situation may not be

bad what do I mean I don't mean being

negative I mean being intelligent

I mean being critical in your thinking

seeing what you don't have is sometimes

useful to this is what I promised you

and

the power of negative thinking here's

how negative things can be useful I sat

down with her and I said honey I said

let's look at the advantages and

disadvantages of bulb let's not just be

positive let's get it the whole thing is

positive let's know that no matter what

you choose you've won

you have what most people dream about

but for a moment let's be a little bit

critical what do you love about

Disneyland what's great about it what is

it giving you and let's ask the question

that maybe we don't ask three times

we're just being purely positive what

isn't it giving you what are you afraid

about what are you missing by being

there what's great about being at home

or what's great about those things

what's not great about that be honest if

you were there what might happen that's

not good what might you miss out on and

you know what by getting her to use both

positive and negative thinking or to be

more accurate positive thinking and some

critical thinking looking at what isn't

there for the moment what she is missing

out on and allowing that pain and

motivator she was able to clarify what's

most important in her life and what's

the best way to do that and she came up

with a plan that totally empowered her

after a couple hours of conversation and

fun she looks better than she has in

about six months because she's finally

resolved with most important and

sometimes just being positive keeping a

stiff upper lip isn't enough sometimes

you got to stop and say I am positive

and on approaches from a positive way

I'm going to stay in a positive state

but I ask some questions some people may

think of as negative which is what isn't

working because if you're not willing

look at what isn't working you can get

yourself in trouble so when I say number

three is develop the habit of noticing

something you can appreciate out of the

situation even something that seems to

be negative what I mean by that is find

out what's working but also appreciate

what isn't working

appreciated enough that maybe it creates

enough pain for you don't want to make a

change hey being purely positive all the

time is not the ultimate solution being

clearly positive ninety-eight percent of

the time to me is the solution

remember our steps number one you're

going to focus on how it really is and

that's what we did today Joe and I sat

down and said what Fiat really is not to

not just be positive let's stop for a

second how is it really what's good what

isn't good

what's great what isn't great in this

context everything is great but

comparatively what's great what's not

both situations now how do you really

want it and you decide to actually want

it now what are we going

to make that happen you gotta take

actions have changed their life

probably will affect the direction of

her life maybe even her career and she

feels joyous and excited because she

went through the steps that's the

balance between positive negative

thinking but one thing you got to

remember you can spend most of your time

being positive once you see how it is

that's it

decide what you want and make it happen

don't keep going back and saying oh yeah

but it's not working

see balance doesn't mean you spend 50%

of your time positive 50% is down

negative remember balance on a human

scale is a little different negative

experiences are dense and it doesn't

take a lot of those focuses of negative

to weigh a lot in your life make sure

your focus is primarily positive but at

times at special times that you

designate you're going to say hey what

isn't working and allow that pain to

drive you to do something that's very

positive that'll change your life

here's key number 4 decide not to be

perfect say what I said decide not to be

perfect one way to make sure you're

negative is always trying to be perfect

you know what you're always going to

notice you're not because you're this

thing called a human being when I talk

to my daughter Joanne this girl works so

hard to be perfect everybody seems the

lever Jesus straight-a students you want

to be the very best at schools you want

to be the very best at homes you want to

be the very best Disney chose to be the

best at everything and I'm trying to be

the best constantly in the past she

always noticed what wasn't perfect and

that created pain so you can't do that

you're gonna screw up you're gonna be

negative things are going to happen

where you don't follow through on what

you know you're going to make poor

decisions you're going to say things you

shouldn't say do things you shouldn't do

mess up like you shouldn't mess up but

you know what when that happens instead

of being negative and beating yourself

up in sand boy here's another example

means sabotaging myself decide what you

do want and say you know I'm not perfect

but I am good and what makes me good

what makes me great what can make me

excellent as soon as I notice I'm not on

track I correct it and I get better your

goal each day is to get better not to be

perfect and that's all anyone can ask of

you if every day you really try and

contribute more be more and do more than

you were slightly the day before that

all anybody can ask and if you know

you're going to screw up and you don't

make it a catastrophe it's easier to

bounce right back up see the only way

you fail is if you quit but if you learn

something and you expand from it and you

make some new decision

enhance your life and the people you

care about then there is no failure

don't try to be perfect because you'll

never is the green there's a vinyl one

tee number five decide to develop the

habit of using the f-word space make

sure that you're in the position of

utilizing the tool that really positive

thinking is about positive thinking I've

said it over and over again really is

just a power to believe and as you

believe those are done unto you as you

believe so it's created you need to make

certain that you create that certainty

inside yourself and you know what you

and I both know there going to be times

when it looks grim and the only power

you really have is that power to have

faith to step forth and say I'm going to

put myself on the line I'm gonna have

the courage to overcome my fears and to

take action even though it may not work

out even though I may put out my love

and it may not be reciprocated I'm still

gonna put myself on the line because if

I don't that's the only way I can fail

see without faith nothing exists and

remember one more thing no matter how

bad it seems this dual pass that you've

made it this far you've been through

tough times times you didn't think you

could pull it off and you've made it if

you've made it through all the

challenges of your past and your life

still works you still seem to be

somewhat happy you're still standing as

they say and gosh darn it you're

successful and you can make it through

this too it's the thing that will pull

you through faith is still the power

it's your ultimate power

Where Is Steven Seagal Today - Duration: 10:43.

He's a mystical, stone-faced martial arts expert with a ponytail, and in the '90s, he

was kind of a god.

Steven Seagal ruled the box office for years with huge hits with dangerous names, like

Hard to Kill, Above the Law, and Under Siege.

But tastes change, and Seagal faded from movie star prominence.

Here's a look at what he's been up to since vanishing from the spotlight.

"This is unexpected.

I think the only thing unexpected is I'm still alive."

Still making movies

Seagal's contract with Warner Bros. ended in 1997 with the release of the environmentally-themed

thriller Fire Down Below.

But he still makes action movies today, and he still puts them out at a rapid clip…

except they mostly just go directly to DVD now.

"I've decided that I'm gonna stick around for a while."

"I've also decided, if you don't like it, that's tough s---."

Among those projects: The Patriot, Exit Wounds, Half Past Dead, Out for a Kill, Into the Sun,

Submerged, Black Dawn, Attack Force, Urban Justice, Kill Switch, and Driven to Kill.

In all, Seagal has churned out more than 30 movies in less than 20 years.

In 2016 alone, he starred in seven films which either saw minimal theatrical release, or

never made it there at all.

Looks like Seagal may no longer be The Perfect Weapon.

"Hey, looks like that guy has the hiccups, somebody get that guy a glass of water."

The ratings for these films don't help much, either.

Two Seagal films — The Foreigner and Contract to Kill — earned a score of 0 percent on

Rotten Tomatoes.

That means that not a single critic that saw either film liked them.

The AV Club criticized Contract to Kill specifically, writing that Seagal, quote,

"...gives the kind of performance traditionally associated with stars who died during filming.

And yet, Seagal is in almost every scene."

37 of his direct-to-DVD movies since 2001 haven't even been seen by enough people to

be rated yet, while 2002's Half Past Dead only managed to eke out a 3 percent, despite

its amazing title.

"Is that the best you got, boy?"

Still, Seagal is moving forward in his career by reaching into the past.

In the works is Under Siege 3, completing his popular trilogy.

Also in development: Above the Law 2, a sequel to Seagal's 1988 debut film.

Lawman

Starting in the late '80s, Seagal took a side job as a police consultant in Jefferson Parish,

Louisiana, alongside mega-fan, sheriff Harry Lee.

Lee asked the action star to train his force in martial arts and marksmanship, and eventually

enlisted Seagal as a reserve deputy.

In 2009, Seagal's side gig became the basis for a reality show on A&E called Steven Seagal:

Lawman, a strange riff on Cops that usually entailed Steven Seagal hanging out in a police

car observing the actual officers from a safe distance.

During filming in 2011, Seagal drove a SWAT tank used to raid the home of Jesus Llovera,

an Arizona man suspected of holding cockfights.

Llovera sued for $100,000 in damages; he also wanted Seagal to write a letter to his kids

to apologize for killing their puppy.

Llovera ultimately pled guilty to the cockfighting charges.

After a change of attorney and a failure to submit paperwork, a judge dismissed the lawsuit

against Seagal.

Seagal reportedly resigned from the force after he found himself the subject of an internal

affairs investigation that sought to uncover the truth about, quote, "allegations of sex

trafficking and sexual assault."

That wasn't the end of his crime-busting career, however.

Seagal took his cop act to TV with his 2011 action series True Justice, which he created

and starred in as Elijah Kane, head of an elite undercover Seattle task force.

"This does not make sense.

It just doesn't make sense."

The show ran for a total of 26 episodes.

He missed his comeback

Seagal is reportedly good friends with fellow martial arts movie star Jackie Chan, so while

Rush Hour 3 was entering production in 2007, Chan is rumored to have suggested that Seagal

play the film's villain.

He didn't end up in the role, and the rewritten part went to Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada.

That wasn't Seagal's only big miss.

Sylvester Stallone's 2010 hit The Expendables showed that there was still a big audience

out there for '80s-style action heroes.

But conspicuously absent from the movie's long list of aging-but-able action stars is

Seagal.

Stallone reportedly offered Seagal a spot in the ensemble, but he turned it down.

The reason: Seagal reportedly hates one of the movie's producers, Avi Lerner, with whom

he worked on several of his direct-to-video features.

He's an entrepreneur

Seagal's interests go far beyond just kicking criminals in their justice buckets.

There's a far gentler side to Seagal that most never get to see.

For instance, he owns a California estate where 200 acres are set aside to grow Cabernet

grapes, which are sold to wineries.

In 2007, he sold his 995-acre lavender farm in northern California where he grew and processed

plants for Diamond Lotus Essentials, a line of "therapeutic oils," which sound like they

may just come in handy after a savage Seagal beatdown.

"Boring"

And in 2005, this happened.

"Hey there… we want to tell you about Steven Segal's new energy drink.

It's called Lightning Bolt.

It's 100% natural and it's just great."

Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt was a line of canned energy drinks which was proudly

marketed as the first of its kind to contain "Tibetan Goji Berries" and "Asian Cordyceps."

Flavors included Cherry Charge, Root Beer Rush, and — this is 100 percent real, a

flavor called "Asian Experience"… whatever that means.

"Everybody, just see that?"

He even teamed up with a Cold Steel, a California knife manufacturer, to create the "Steven

Seagal Series" of knives and swords.

A katana sword with sheath costs a mere $1099.99, while a shorter "Steven Seagal Helmet Breaker"

is a bargain at $499.99.

Romantic rollercoaster

Seagal has been married four times.

His third and most prominent marriage was with another icon of pop-culture nostalgia,

model and actress Kelly LeBrock, most famous for being the dream woman created by teen

scientists in Weird Science.

Seagal and LeBrock divorced in 1996 after he reportedly impregnated their nanny.

In 2009, he married his personal assistant, Erdenetuya Batsukh, to whom he's still married

today… but that's not without its troubles either.

Remember when Seagal resigned from the force?

In 2010, another of Seagal's former personal assistants, Kayden Nguyen, sued Seagal for

$1 million, alleging he sexually harassed and abused her.

Those allegations were corroborated by two other female ex-employees who alleged similar

treatment by the actor.

The suit was dropped later in the year.

He gets around

Seagal lives a very full life outside of making movies and hanging out with cops.

He also spends a lot of time traveling around the world to visit his friends who live far

away.

Incongruously, he's spent time both with Buddhist spiritual leaders… and Russian president

Vladimir Putin.

Seagal also gained citizenship in Serbia in January 2016 when he offered to set up a martial

arts studio there.

Seagal isn't welcome everywhere, however.

When he told a Russian state-run newspaper that he supported Putin's controversial intervention

in Crimea, Seagal was dropped from a gig performing at a blues festival in Estonia.

After Putin personally granted Seagal a Russian passport in 2016, the actor was banned from

entering Ukraine on the grounds that his actions, quote, "...contradicted the interests of maintaining

Ukraine's security."

And with moves like this, who could blame them?

The national anthem

Seagal wears his politics on his very tight sleeves, and he made his voice heard during

a September 2017 appearance on Good Morning Britain, accepting host Piers Morgan's invitation

to weigh in on professional athletes protesting racial injustice in America by opting to kneel

during the national anthem.

From Seagal's point of view, it's all very simple.

"I don't agree they should hold the United States of America and the world hostage"

"people are tuning in to watch a football game and imposing their political views."

"I think it's outrageous, I think it's a joke.

It's disgusting."

As patriotic as his words may have seemed from a particular point of view, they were

delivered via remote feed... from Moscow, of course.

The weird Russian video

Seagal is no longer the athletic martial arts master of yesterday.

That's why some were a little skeptical of a viral video of Seagal demonstrating aikido

at the 2015 International Youth Sambo Tournament, held in the Russian city of Saratov.

"Steven Seagal!"

When cornered by TMZ, Seagal laughed off accusations that the fighting in the viral video was fake.

"I've been doing martial arts all my life, how could it be fake?"

After the TMZ reporter suggested that the guys up against Seagal flopped a little too

hard, Seagal explained that,

"...when you're about to break someone's arm or wrist, usually they like to go with it

so it doesn't snap."

Then again, this is a man who can turn a dishtowel into a deadly weapon, so anything is possible.

Seagal vs. Foreman

It's been years since action thriller fans were actually wowed by a new Steven Seagal

fight scene, but boxer George Foreman might just be the one to get Seagal back into fighting

shape.

The fighter, who knows a thing or two about climbing back in the ring, challenged Seagal

to a fight in October of 2017, tweeting an offer to go ten rounds with his would-be opponent

in a no-holds-barred Vegas match, during which he'd stick to boxing, but Seagal could, quote,

"use whatever."

Seagal didn't immediately respond to Foreman's challenge, but that didn't stop it from making

headlines.

It's not so hard to understand why people would want to watch these once-mighty fighters

wail on each other; if you've ever struggled to make your way through a recent Seagal movie

or burned yourself on a Foreman Grill, the idea of either guy being punched for your

enjoyment must be pretty tempting.

"Today I got up I stepped onto the grill and it clamped down on my foot that's it.

I don't see what's so hard to believe about that."

Interview: Prof. Kim Hyun-wook - Duration: 8:48.

For a closer analysis of the historic summit held at the Cheongwadae today we turn to Professor

Kim Hyun-wook of Korea National Diplomatic Academy who joins us in the studio

Welcome.

Good to be here

Certainly a positive atmosphere today.

What stood out was Trump highlighting that Seoul is more than just

an ally but an important partner.

North Korea

was

of course

the main topic of interest.

How deep did the two leaders get to dwell into the subject.

Trump seemed quite fixated on Trade.

Tying weapons purchase to improving what he sees as a flawed deal.

Curiosity brims as to what he will be able to cover during his meeting

with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

What

kind of outcome

can

we expect?

Consistency hasn't been a

strong suit

for Trump.

Can we expect

something out of

the blue in

his speech at the national assembly?
