CURRENT FAVES // Olived, Olympus Pen, The Bold Type, etc! [CC] - Duration: 9:03.

hello everybody so today I am here to record a favorites video for you.

basically I just have a small collection of things that have just made my life

really happy, so I'm gonna talk about them. the first thing is a pair of

earrings and I'm gonna show cutaway to them. I am also wearing them in one of my

piercings right now, but they are a pair of Venus earrings. I got these at a shop in

Seattle called Moorea Seal. it's also an online shop and the shop itself is also

another favourite. I freaking love this store. it's- they actually just moved

to a new premises in Seattle and I haven't been to the new one yet, but the

old one was beautiful and I love the people who work there and they sell

incredible things made by a lot of... almost all local and or in the US, made

sustainably, ethically, etc. lots of great brands, super recommend checking out

their website. I love these earrings especially. I love them, they would make

me really happy, so that's why they're a favourite, I guess. they were also

really inexpensive for the size they are and the quality I believe. the second

thing I have is actually another piece of jewelry and that is my ring from the

Great Frog. this is a lion ring I bought this as kind of as a graduation gift to

myself earlier this year. The Great Frog, if you don't know,

is a silversmith-- I think they do gold, as well. it's like a jewellery producer in

London, off Carnaby Street is their original premises I think and then they

also have a shop in New York that I haven't been to yet. but I've always

loved their rings, for years and years, but they are quite expensive, so when I

was graduating, I bought this for myself as a little treat. and I love him, his name

is Godric, and I've been wearing him pretty much

every day. next thing I have is two pieces of clothing from a company and

they actually sent me these and they also have a discount code for you if you

want to purchase anything from them the website itself is called Olived, O-L-I-V-E-D.

and they're kind of a capsule wardrobe website that curates a small collection

of clothes for a certain amount of time, like a season or something, they curate

the small collection of clothes that are all made sustainably, ethically,

by... I don't think it's all the same brand, I think there are different brands, but

yeah it's just this like cool curated collection of sustainably ethically made

clothing, which is kind of my jam, as you know, so when they reached out I was like

that's on brand. I checked them out and found a couple pieces and they sent them

my way. a lot of the pieces can come apart and different pieces can create

different looks, things like that, so this is cool because you can keep that in

there. I also use these a lot for bulk grocery shopping, so it's it's a nice

thing to have. the first choice I have is this one this is just like a super plain

like shift, not shift, I get shift dress, um, kind of between bodycon and a

shift dress and its white with the zipper down the front, but this dress is

also reversible, so you can have it all black with a zip. it has comes with a

little tie, as well. it's a white tie so if you have the black dress it will be a

contrasting sash thing, yeah, and it's just this really cool dress. it actually

makes me feel a lot like Six from Battlestar Galactica or like what's her

name... Janine from Divergent for some reason it gives me those like sci-fi

badass woman villain vibes. I don't know. I haven't actually gotten to wear this

out yet properly, but I can't wait because I think it's just really cool

and I feel really badass in it. speaking of feeling badass the other thing that

they sent me, I'm obsessed with. this is going to be incredibly difficult to show you

in this video. this is a jumpsuit and if you know me at all

you know that I love a good jumpsuit. the cool thing about this jumpsuit is that

it actually comes apart so this is the top and, god, you can't really see this at

all. so this is kind of the top and it has cutouts in the side. I'll be doing

cutaway so you can actually see what it looks like. and then it has these wide

leg bottoms. it's made from 100% Cupro which I believe is like a vegan silky

suede-y material. It comes apart so you could just wear these really

amazing wide trousers or obviously it's buttoned on here and it's a full-on

jumpsuit with like kind of a bit of an open back situation. there's like a strap

but then it's an open back. this is... it's really hard to show this, you'll see in

the vide.o this makes me feel like a superhero, like, if I was a superhero,

I would be wearing a badass black jumpsuit. that would be that would be my

look. it's super comfortable, I would recommend going up a size up, or maybe like

if you're on the verge between sizes go with the higher one, because it is a

little tight in the bust area and I don't have much going on in the bust

area, so if I'm saying it's tight it's probably a little a little tight. I have three

more favorites, the first one is kind of a homey bit. I have moved recently and so

I just have a lot of new things around my room that are exciting. this I bought

earlier this summer at a shop in Seattle called Prism, that I think I talked about

in my last favorites video, but this is a boob planter. the brand I believe is

Group Partner and I've been eyeing them for probably a couple years now. I just

think they're so cool, but I never got around to buying one because they're a

bit pricey and also it's like ceramic and I move a lot so ceramic is not very

portable, but I'm obsessed. it's a really great talking piece, everyone who comes

in and sees it it's like, are those boobs? and I'm like, they sure are. I dig it. they come

painted, as well, but I kind of like the terra cotta finish and I think the terra

cotta finish is a bit cheaper, as well. the last physical favorite I have is my

camera. I bought my olympus pen e-pl8 because i was going to Santorini in

Greece and I was like I need a new camera.

this has got to look beautiful and going to Oia and I want pretty pictures,

so I pretty much bought it mostly for that. I wish I'd bought it sooner and

used it on all the traveling I did last year because I love the photos that I

take on this camera. I also bought a 45 millimeter lens which I super recommend

doing if you want that gorgeous depth of field and I used a lot for bookstagram

pictures. I just use this ton, as you probably if you follow me on Instagram.

my instagram is just @kayleyhyde, you can tell what I've used this versus when

I've just used my phone camera. huge difference in quality and just

like, kind of tone of photo. I super love this, it's been great. I've been doing a

lot of photo shoots on the rooftop, which is fun. I love this camera. I think

it's really great. I haven't really done much video on it, so I can't speak to

that but for photos I think it's wonderful especially because you can

take pictures on here and send them straight to your phone. Which I know is not

a new thing but I'm impressed by it. All of my all my other technology is

kind of old. love this and my last favorite is a television show. um I was

gonna include books as well but I feel like if you watch other videos of mine

you know the kind of books I've been loving but a television show that came

out this summer that I won't shut up about on Twitter is The Bold Type. the

Bold Type aired on Freeform in this last summer and it just got renewed, so

I'm so excited. I think you got renewed for two additional seasons, which is

awesome, because it's such a different show from anything we have on television

right now, I feel like. it's a story of these three best friends who are kind of

in their mid-20s trying to get through life. they all work at-- I think it's meant

to be the-- it's inspired by the women of Cosmo, so they all work at this like

woman focused magazine and they work in different areas. one of them is the

social media manager, one of them is trying to get into like the fashion

stylist side, and the other one is a writer, so it's all very different

experiences. it's all...it's a very millennial show. they have this really

incredible boss that really kind of confronts the trope of the horrible like

chief CEO bitch character kind of like Miranda Priestly, she's nothing like that.

she's really wonderful. I just think it does so many good things for different

characters one of the main characters is queer. we have a lot of diverse

representation, it's just good and funny. It's a little extra sometimes but I

just love it and I talk about it a lot and I think about it a lot. I also finished

Stranger Things 2 last night so yeah I like that. I like Dustin a lot. and that

is all! sorry that the light has faded as this has happened. oh and also don't

forget that if you want to check out any of the pieces from Olived or I think the

brand of the clothes is Avesso, AVESSO, check them out

in the description below. I'll put a link and also a discount code if

you wanted buy anything, which is really wonderful.

I don't benefit, it's not in affiliate link.

it's just a link. let me know your recent favorites have been in the comments

below and let me know if you have any questions and I'll see you again very

soon.

How Women's Magazines Stack Up - Duration: 4:28.

Hello and welcome to wisdom included I'm Shelley Carney this is a collaborative

gathering place especially for women to share personal stories support and

advice wisdom included it's Thursday thrust and I'll be going

over changes we've seen in process methods and technology and whether they

improve our lives or just cause distraction women's magazines have been

popular for centuries as the main source of recipes makeup advice and fashion

updates today though consumers have hundreds of television channels a

million websites offering excellent beautifully presented stories as well as

blogs Pinterest boards and YouTube channels sharing everything from the

perfect paleo recipe to make up tutorials featuring the latest cosmetics

even an e-commerce editorial content is provided to urge shoppers to stay on

their site longer the association of magazine media reports print magazines

circulation is stable to slightly up and both print and digital magazine

readership is increasing for instance there were just 2000 print magazines in

1980 versus today's 10,000 this audience segmentation means it can be more

difficult than ever to capture the attention of consumers when it comes to

women's magazines and online articles that appeal to women both seem to center

on topics that studies indicate women want to follow including social issues

health care and education Redbook magazine was first published in May 1903

and over the years it was promoted as the largest Illustrated fiction magazine

in the world keeping pace with the changes in the world read book changed

focus in the 70s and 80s and now articles are primarily targeted towards

married women the magazine features stories about women dealing with modern

hardships aspiring for intellectual growth and encouraging other women to

work together for humanitarian causes the magazine profiles successful women

to provide inspirational testimonies and advice on life look at the stories on

the cover beauty secrets for 30 40 50 plus eat your way slimmin healthy

quick tricks for super pretty rooms get more time for what you love money tips

to make life much easier world's bestest cleaning tricks jeans that'll fit your

body perfectly do these teasers make you want to read

more the Internet and social media have enabled people like me to be content

creators yet even with the ability to create shape or choose their own media

experiences consumers still want content from trusted sources the commonality

between print digital and video content is the primary importance of knowing

their audiences and serving them with relevant useful compelling content Samir

"Mr. Magazine" Husni reminds us the question is not print versus digital

media it is audience first not digital or print first Redbook has over a

century in the magazine business so I know that these headlines are what

attracts women to purchase and read their magazine scientific research

indicates that paper or print media can be more impactful and memorable than

digital. Digital meanwhile offers its own huge advantages including instantaneous

access localization powerful personalization and targeting audio and

video and interaction with the consumer if you were to compare wisdom included

with Redbook magazine which would you choose and why this channel offers

comparable topics of social issues health care education and interviews

along with the ability to listen and respond to your opinions in the

description box below I've included a link to a brief survey you can answer to

let me know what you would like to see on the wisdom included channel how does

it compare to your favorite magazine how can it improve and speak to your needs

if you have suggestions for topics you'd like to see or other ways to improve

this channel please take a moment now and write your comments below and let's

start a conversation or follow the link to take the survey please take a moment

to subscribe and share my videos with family friends and colleagues I'll

continue to post new videos several times each week featuring personal

stories support and advice wisdom included

Hot Collectors Autominis #143 - FÉRIAS FRUSTRADAS - Duration: 7:10.

Olá Hot Collectors! are welcome to Hot Collectors Autominis ...

Take a video and the like ..... production wheel vignette!

In this Hot Collector program we will show a double-special car the Wagon Queen Family Truckster

Yeeeeees !!! It is the car of the film National Lampoon´s

Vacation a session Classic later also a Chase Greenlight

You will be a Chase huh guys? You know what a Chase? I guess I know but let's talk better

about it then crowd filled tire bored and lets get down to

The galley carts

Griswolds Wagon Queen Family Truckster is based on 1979 LTD County Square Station Wagon

and it was customized by anyone Unless the legendary George Barris yes

it even if you do not know he created the Batmobile also it was that way

series 1966 of the thumbnails here most cherished by our

collectors recently ... The film National Lampoon's Vacation

1983 and tells the story of a family American coming out of the car on vacation

East Coast to the West Coast to go a theme park

ahhh ... but the story does not end there ... in the way they meet a cousin and

Also not less popular and aunt Edna ended up taking her to Phoenix only

It happens so much in this one guys that when they arrived at many park

confusion will happen and finally they will be surprised one bit

nice then guys is this you want

learn more about National Lampoon's Vacation goes there on the internet searching on Google

watching this film, my ... you will not regret one bit film is

Excellent is a good thing in a afternoon session a great comedy and

then you will understand a little what is this car that we are

showing here ... Furthermore let's talk a little bit

about what Chase is a miniature and you may have no idea that is

Chase so let's enjoy talking a little about it

Chase are limited versions that factories distributed between cars

Regular is the neat trick normally

manufacturers do what it is ... there is in these miniatures is ... the most common

collectible miniatures and so it encourages hoarding because

these miniatures are harder to be found

Chase Greenlight he is called as Greenmachine and can be chassis and green wheel;

green body and green tires or green parts such miniature

are you seeing. When buying the guys around the thumbnails

Greenlight be smart and suddenly you might be experiencing one Chase nor

realized ... So come on guys let's the third with respect to this miniature

so she has metal chassis, tires rubber and here are the hubcaps, you see

In the black color you can then view ... Headlights

front see only they are acrylic, as

you can watch and is part of back're seeing

They have painted headlights there we also have a detail of

Car plates're seeing O ... The sign is written Vacation right to the name of

movie maybe you can not see well right ... we also leverages and

see more details here as the bumper the car for example and back

purposely also the board is Pie right ... it's not loaded decal

not wrong ... The board is the same port

Another detail galley door

bags are already on top of the car on the roof see only

these bags are all in green because here it is a miniature

Greenmachine, but these bags here they are colored

It is a pull .... ... is a business that is really cool guys

made very realistic're seeing are ... several different formats right ... got well

cool the interior trim only see interior trim guys see banks

They are brown in color and details in color cream a beige anyway ... right one nude!

if you are a little cooler then you can talk that way you are

more detail to this kind of thing and then we have the steering wheel guys that

We have and it means straight but actually it has four beams are then so

Detailed good steering wheel is not pizza as the Hot Wheels but not

we can detect details internal which is rare thumbnails Greenlight

because they are really see detail that brings the handle

then there door but could not there and find mirrors

rear view so it's only a small detail that

He has beaten right I not have a rearview something that does not

it is very common good now let's talk about the side

side ta ... seeing has brown color details in beige

It may not be possible view but these details are already

They are there because there are those plates wood are placed on the side of

car can see that the hood we have this detail that I just

speaking as though it is a miniature chase, one they Greenmachine

They put these side in green also so if you find

Miniature that here with these features it is a Chase're

Normal it is that characteristic of wood

another detail also very interesting that lateral galley

see this crown here that O is the Ford Crown then also there a little treat

they put to identify the model the car since we're talking

a custom miniature then the name that I said is Wagon Queen Family

Truckster this name is difficult to speak right

good guys here is this theme that I regard as perfect

the spectacular film a great comedy you will not

sorry if you're watching and you You will see that it is miniature

identical really the car that Griswolds use in the film right ... griswolds is the

family that runs inside the car and you can be sure that the

get this miniature you will get more perfect theme for all

times.

Hey Hot Collectors program this week is ending, but let us mark commitment to

Friday more release and news. Until then!!!!

not finalized.

Who are interested in the machine itself to twist cone

pipes, leave a link in the description.

In this pipe is not a bit screw the beginning, and turned

tube a little flat, so you need to be redone.

Need more tuck beginning, before twisting,

then there will be exactly.

At the torch will be here Cone piece, two-piece, more

is welded rods, at the end of the ball on the spot

interface will be decorative element junction hide

and give a more attractive view from above

with studs, then a piece of tubes, thin-walled, on

If

It needs to change a light bulb , Remove, change light bulb,

Sounds We Miss And Don't Miss | ft. Jessica Flores | ASL - Duration: 17:31.

[INTRO: PENCIL WRITING]

[POKEMON GAME SOUND]

Hello!

As you can see, I'm not alone today.

Who is with me?

Who are you?!

JESSICA: I'm Jessica Flores.

RIKKI: You might know her.

She's also a deaf YouTuber.

Very funny.

You have to watch her channel.

Okay, I have a question for you.

Since you're deaf, how did you drive here?

JESSICA: I don't know!

RIKKI: My mind is blown.

JESSICA: It's all magic.

RIKKI: Oh, wait! She has a video about this!

You have a video on this topic.

Go watch that, okay?

Anyway, there's a reason we're here together.

Today, we're going to be discussing sounds we do and don't miss.

So deaf people, we will get comments from people saying that they couldn't,

wouldn't want to be deaf because how could they listen to music,

birds chirping, water/ocean waves, whatever else.

This video isn't going to be about discussing "important" sounds in life,

but regularly "everyday" things in our lives that we may or may not, will not miss.

Nothing like emergency things, well, maybe,

if they really scare you and you hate them.

You know what? Whatever.

We'll just keep this going.

Because you are my guest, you start.

JESSICA: So, it's hard for me to say what sounds- it's [sign], right?

RIKKI: Yeah, [sign].

JESSICA: -I miss because I don't really remember-

RIKKI: Right, you can't miss what you never knew,

JESSICA: Yes. RIKKI: Never had, never heard.

JESSICA: That is true. But I have a lot of sounds that I don't miss.

RIKKI: I can imagine. This wind…

JESSICA: So, I have hearing aids. If I put them in…

So, I have hearing aids and there's a lot of sounds I really don't like.

RIKKI: And you live in a very busy city: San Francisco.

JESSICA: Yeah, so, I think I'd be discussing more about what sounds I don't miss.

RIKKI: That's completely fine.

JESSICA: Something I would miss, uhm…

RIKKI: Maybe it's something you'll miss in the future or presently, whatever.

It doesn't matter.

JESSICA: True, because my hearing has been deteriorating for years.

Something I miss would be my family's catchphrases.

RIKKI: Like jokes and stuff.

JESSICA: My family are really funny people.

They have a saying- My grandma, for example,

she would say, "YAHOOOOOOOOO!"

RIKKI: Someone here is gonna be like, "WTF was that?"

JESSICA: And I feel like I would miss that, you know?

But I'm happy that I've heard it before.

I accept that if I can't hear it at all in the future.

I don't miss crows. They sound…

RIKKI: Like nails on a chalkboard. JESSICA: Yes!

RIKKI: That's the next one. JESSICA: Yes!

JESSICA: I have that. But crows' screeching sounds like- RIKKI: It's very loud.

JESSICA: Yeah, but they sound like they're being choked to death.

It's really scary! I don't like it!

RIKKI: I miss cat meows.

Currently, I can hear my boy cat, Zane, a little bit.

He has a deeper voice which I hear better, his meows and growls.

But he has to be close, I have to be holding him.

I can't hear him if he's way over there on the floor.

JESSICA: She's gonna have to hold her cat right up to her ear.

RIKKI: But my girl cat, Libby, I can't really hear her as her voice is more high pitched.

If I hold her, she has to be so close-

JESSICA: That's the cat. RIKKI: Yes, this is the cat. Just pretend.

If she's this close and she meows, I can hear it, but that's a lot of work.

And then she's very angry.

She's like, "Put me down! I don't want to be held!"

I don't miss… well, this is going to be depressing,

but if you know, if you watch my videos, I grew up with a lot of abuse.

So a lot of- I can't spell this word even in English-

physical and verbal abuse, so I still hear a little of it, depending

but most of the time, I don't, so I'm kind of wishing that

[the rest of] my hearing would just go away completely.

This ear has almost nothing and this one only has a little bit.

So I'm waiting for that 'cos I don't want to hear that anymore.

There's a lot of PTSD with that.

So I don't and wouldn't miss that.

JESSICA: That's a good one.

RIKKI: Future things said here will be a little happier, I promise.

JESSICA: Something I miss would be laughter.

Especially from my younger sister.

Like, my youngest sister.

She has a very cute laugh.

Something else I don't miss would be…

RIKKI: The nails on a chalkboard.

JESSICA: Yeah. RIKKI: I don't know the sign for that.

JESSICA: Yeah. That hurts my ears so much.

If my hearing aids are out, it's fine, but if they're in, it's horrible.

It hurts!

RIKKI: I probably wouldn't hear that.

I don't think I would.

JESSICA: It sounds awful.

RIKKI: I can imagine.

I mean, I've heard it when watching movies and shows with earphones in,

but I don't think I've heard it in real life.

JESSICA: I think I've only heard it while wearing hearing aids.

Ah, you don't want to hear that noise. It's awful.

RIKKI: Now, we have more technology so we don't have to worry about that.

JESSICA: Yes! I don't know why that sound exists.

It's time to go.

End chalkboards now!

Your turn.

RIKKI: Really, I think that was the only sound I'd really miss, but sometimes music.

Now hold on!

JESSICA: Hold it! Stop right there! Wait a minute.

RIKKI: A little while ago, I made a video about this topic,

on other ways that deaf people listen to music,

but when it comes to listening to it the "normal" way,

there are a few singers I would probably miss.

Like my favourite singers' voices.

For example, two: Brian Joo-

JESSICA: I've never heard of him.

RIKKI: KPOP, or more R&B.

And then a Taiwanese singer named Aaron Yan.

There are some other songs I'd miss.

But I'm not focused on listening to music right now.

I still listen to it sometimes.

A long time ago, I was listening to it everyday, all the time.

But now, I'm just like, "Eh. Okay."

It's not a serious thing, but for now.

Something I don't miss. Uhm…

JESSICA: What is it?!

RIKKI: I'm in my house all the time.

I don't remember sounds.

What are those?!

Alarms. I can't quite get the sign for that.

My alarm is one of those you put under the bed.

JESSICA: The vibrations are frightening.

RIKKI: I have it on silent so that it's only vibrations.

But sometimes when you turn it off, it makes a noise very similar to the nails on a chalkboard.

I hate it. It's scary and I hate it.

Every time I turn it off and I hear it for even one second, I'm like, "NO!"

JESSICA: "No! Stop that!" RIKKI: Okay, no, it's not that serious.

But I hate it.

I wait for the day that I never have to hear it again.

That's the only high pitched noise I can hear.

I don't think it's the same sound as a carbon monoxide alarm or a kitchen timer.

I don't think it's the same kind of sound.

JESSICA: I'm the same.

There's not a lot of sounds I would miss that would be like, "Oh, poor me!"

because I feel like I've learned to adapt and accept who I am, being deaf.

RIKKI: A lot that I do now is just being by myself.

I think the only-

maybe the third thing I miss is when I'm traveling to YouTube events, all, eh, not all.

Okay. Most of my YouTube friends are hearing, but pretty much all the friends at these events are hearing.

There's no other deaf creator there.

There needs to be!

JESSICA: There needs to be! RIKKI: We're working on that.

JESSICA: It's time.

RIKKI: We have disabled creators at these events, but I'm the only deaf one.

I mean, yes, please invite me.

I want to go, but you come with me!

Take us both.

Sometimes, if I'm going to VidCon, my LA friends, even the hearing ones,

some of them sign, so that's fine.

But if I'm going to DC or Florida for Playlist, nobody signs.

Well, DC, yes, but not at the event, so I end up feeling pretty lonely.

If there's a party, I need to be drunk, I don't really care.

JESSICA: It's hard.

RIKKI: If we're sitting and having a chill dinner and everyone's having a conversation,

sometimes, I miss being able to understand it even though

I don't really remember being able to understand a lot to begin with.

Normally, I can sort of hear the conversation, but I can't understand it.

It depends on the person.

JESSICA: Yeah, I feel the same.

I feel like I miss really connecting with other people.

Now, it's really hard to really connect with people because they don't know ASL

or they're always moving their heads when talking.

RIKKI: Like you're both sitting here and then the other just looks off into the other direction.

JESSICA: WHY?!

But yeah. I don't know if I ever really understood group conversations.

RIKKI: Sometimes, I get bits and pieces.

I don't want to make a whole conversation about this right now,

but if I put in earphones and learn a YouTuber's voice,

it can be a little easier sometimes, but that's a whole video for later.

JESSICA: It's weird that it's easier to understand someone when you spend time with them.

RIKKI: And you learn, sometimes their voice, but- yeah.

JESSICA: Lip reading is easier if you know the person.

RIKKI: Well, that's all I have to say on this topic.

If you have any sounds that you miss or don't miss, leave a comment below.

JESSICA: We want to know.

RIKKI: Create a discussion.

There will be a video on her channel.

The link will be somewhere around here.

So go subscribe to Jessica and we'll see you later.

BOTH: Bye!

UT/TT Poll: Most Texas Voters say Confederate memorials shouldn't move - Duration: 0:59.

You know, you can't really get around the fact that the largest single response

was that people wanted to leave them as they are. But you know we are in the

South, this is an issue that has been very politically polarized and taps

into a lot of political undercurrents. And they're political undercurrents

that have broken through to the surface since Donald Trump was elected.

I think what's ultimately interesting about this is that it's hard to imagine this

conversation being quite so inflammatory two, three, even five years ago as it is

now. But I think the election of Donald Trump, the stream of nationalism that

he's brought to the surface, the sense of talking openly about white nationalist

theories of history has made this issue much more live than I think it would

have been otherwise.

What is Adulting? (and Other Post-College Thoughts) - Duration: 7:07.

- Are we recording all this?

(laughter) - Yeah we are.

- What are we talking about?

What is this YouTube thing? (laughs)

(electronic music)

We're at William and Mary's Homecoming.

It's like really so awesome,

but also really weird at the same time.

I think what's cool about being at homecoming

is realizing that it's like where you start,

and that anything that you do after college

would be a new beginning.

It's kind of like you're

almost a baby in the adult world.

- I'm like, maybe a two year old

in the the adult world,

and just having tantrums and stuff.

I'm like, "I don't understand how any of this works."

- I'm like, "Mom, whaa."

I literally get these panicking feeling

and my heart starts beating really fast.

And I'm like, "Don't start judging me for

what I'm about to tell you."

I think when you're little,

you think of being in college

and then the life after as being one stream-less line.

And what college doesn't prepare you for

is how who cares about your education sometimes,

when you finish college.

It's really as quickly as you can gain

that practical experience I think.

That's kind of been my experience.

- It's interesting because for me,

high school and then college

were very much definite goals

that I was moving towards.

And it was a scary thing because I'm like,

"What comes after?"

With college, I didn't have a job lined up right afterward

and I was gonna move back in with my parents

and I was like, "Ah".

There was no definite after and

it was much more scary.

And that's kind of really what,

post-college and adulthood really is,

is you don't have the definite goals anymore.

I think one of the problems we have,

feeling like everyone

is supposed to be on the same timeline,

like it felt when we were in high school definitely

and then a bit in college too.

But with people getting engaged,

and people getting married,

people having kids,

people getting various masters and doctorate degrees,

- Buying a house.

- Buying a house.

They're all these sort of adult goals.

They're not as easy to come by

and they rely on other people,

and so it becomes more convoluted and harder,

and you can't base your life or worth

on being able to reach those goals anymore,

or when you reach them.

It's not a good way to live

and I think that you can learn that relatively,

sometimes relatively quickly.

Other times it takes the hard way of being super depressed.

Like, "Why are all my friends getting engaged

and having babies, and ah!"

- (laughs) I think what I noticed is that

I don't think I'm ever going to

completely learn to stop comparing myself,

as long as social media exists,

because as soon as I see a friend

or even an acquaintance

that I haven't seen or looked at photos or heard about,

I feel like their engagement pops up almost immediately,

and you're like, "What?"

I think it's the constant thing of like,

it's okay.

What have I achieved in my life?

And I think what's hard is the same thing

that you're saying is,

I was very high achieving in high school,

super motivated and felt like I had,

I'm very goal oriented.

And it's been hard

in the fact that my

life since college has been,

certain points I'm getting ahead

and then in other ways,

I feel like I'm falling behind.

Because I think it's also good as a motivation,

not settling for anything.

I think being a very high achiever all my life,

it's been weird to be in places

where I know I haven't achieved

what I've been wanting to achieve,

but what's hard for me,

is I don't know what I want to achieve. (laughing)

The thing you've got to keep challenging yourself

but then realizing it's not a bad thing

to have to start over,

or go back to square one and refocus.

- And honestly, it's not even like

really, truly starting over

because you're not starting from absolute scratch.

You're starting

- That's true. - from a place

like you may go back

to a starting point,

but you're still starting

with all the knowledge and things that you learned

and had to grapple with,

with whatever set you back

or has made you have to start over.

And that I think is really important,

having all that information makes you make better decisions,

or different decisions in the future.

It will lead you on different paths.

- It's not like you're reborn as a baby.

(laughter)

That's really starting over.

- I guess I'd kind of like to end with like, lessons.

Like, "What's the big takeaway?"

- And have like a list of three.

Three!

And then two.

- One.

(laughter)

- I think one

starting here from college is that you need

patience is the biggest thing

that I'm having to keep reminding myself.

Learning to be patient with yourself.

And knowing that everything you're doing

will lead to something.

Like a goal.

Period.

I'm having to learn like everyday

when I'm like "why am I not there yet?"

And everyone's like "oh you're fine.

You have plenty of time"

And I'm like "but I wanna be there."

- I guess also like,

settling into yourself.

I think it's very easy to leave college

and not really know who you are.

Like, think that you know who you are,

but really living on your own,

getting a job.

It's definitely really important to

kind of accept who you are.

Figure it out.

And you're going to

and you have to accept who that is.

I think it is also very easy to like,

start to realize who you are and be like,

"No, no, no, that's not me."

And like, deny that person.

- I think it's kinda tied with patience

and accepting who you are,

with those things that

the situation you're in now

is not forever.

That you can go through seasons of your life.

Even 20 years from now,

you could change careers.

You have to learn from this experience

and know it's for now.

You got through peaks and you go through valleys.

And you have to just like,

keep trudging through both of them.

Hopefully trudging in the peaks is not trudging,

it's like skippin'.

(laughter)

Dancing through.

- So patience, accepting who you are,

and like powering through the peaks and valleys.

Oh man, I'm so tired.

This is not my normal video.

Energy level.

I'm usually much more "rah".

- I do feel a little delirious.

(laughter)

- Yay.

Thank you, thank you for vlogging with me.

For having a slightly delirious conversation

in a hotel bathroom.

- They're kind of the best kind

of conversations, though.

When you're delirious.

- I don't think I actually told anyone.

We didn't tell anyone who you were.

So. - Oh!

- This is Alanna.

My friend Alanna.

We went to William and Mary together.

She's been in some other videos before.

I'll make sure there are some cards

so you can see them.

And I'm Kaitlyn.

I didn't say that either.

(laughter) I hope that if

you're on this channel,

you know who I am.

And if this is the first video you're watching,

I'm very sorry.

(laughter)

- I'm not!

(laughter)

- Yeah, I hope this video made you smile.

Maybe it's a little--

There are sort of some depressing topics in it.

But we're being positive.

- It's uplifting. - Thinking about the--

Yeah, uplifting,

thinking about the future.

So hopefully it gave you some smiles, some hope,

and I will see you guys next Thursday.

Bye.

Donald Trump Blames Son-In-Law Jared Kushner For Mueller Investigation - Duration: 3:25.

Donald Trump has been fuming for the last few days, ever since the indictments by Bob

Mueller were officially announced.

Once he found out that it was Manafort and Gates, and then found out about the plea deal

by George Papadopoulos, Donald Trump became even angrier than usual.

According to sources within the White House and including a call that Trump made himself

earlier this week to Steve Bannon, Donald Trump knows exactly who is to blame for this

entire investigation.

According to Trump himself, the person at fault here for all of the problems within

the Trump administration is his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Donald Trump believes that the horrible advice Jared Kushner has given him as a White House

Advisor is what has led to the entire Bob Mueller investigation.

According to him, Kushner was the one who told him to fire Michael Flynn as National

Security Advisor.

He's the one who told him to fire James Comey.

He's the one who was present at that Don Junior meeting back in June of 2016 with the Russians.

Everything in Trump's world that is going bad right now lays squarely on the shoulders

of Jared Kushner.

Sam Nunberg, who is a former Donald Trump campaign advisor who was fired, also says

that it's Jared Kushner's horrible advice that got Donald Trump into all of these problems.

Bannon has said it.

Gorka has said it.

Everybody agrees that Jared Kushner is the root of all the problems.

Now, here's what's great, and I hope Jared Kushner somehow pays attention to this.

Everyone's already blaming you, which means they're prepared to throw you under the bus

should anything happen to any one of them, which means you right now have all the leverage

in the world.

Rather than waiting to be thrown under the bus, how about you go volunteer to talk to

Bob Mueller?

Tell him what you know, perhaps in exchange for some kind of immunity on your part.

You hold all the cards right now, Mr. Kushner, and you already see how the rest of the team

is going to treat you going forward.

They're going to blame it all on you.

They're going to make sure that you're the one who goes down for it, so why don't you

take them down before they have the chance to do the same to you?

Is it going to injure your marriage?

Maybe.

Unfortunately, that's just a byproduct of marrying into a corrupt family.

But it might keep you out of prison, because right now it's really starting to look like

either you or whoever you decide to roll on first is probably going to spend at least

a few years behind bars.

Why don't you get the jump on them, stop being the fall guy for the entire administration,

and start taking some of these people down by turning over whatever you have to Special

Prosecutor Bob Mueller?

The Weeknd Didn't Trust Justin Bieber | Daily Celebrity News | Splash TV - Duration: 1:04.

So it kinda sounds like The Weeknd saw the writing on the wall.

Yep, according to new reports, the "Earned It" singer didn't have a problem with

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber reconnecting after she underwent a kidney transplant in

June.

And at the time, The Weeknd didn't care.

See, he knew Justin was just concerned, and as a friend, he was checking in with Selena.

But eventually The Weeknd became a little wary.

A source told Us Weekly that Justin and Selena's relationship began as a platonic one, but

old feelings resurfaced.

Sure, The Weeknd trusted Selena – but he really didn't trust Justin.

And maybe that's why they split.

They were together for 10 months and now they've gone their separate ways… and it looks like

Justin is slowly working his way back into Selena's life.

So was The Weeknd right to be skeptical?

Sure sounds like it.

Strengthen Your Mind Like a Navy SEAL | David Goggins - Duration: 8:56.

I'm a big believer in doing things that make you uncomfortable.

So, we live in a world where we want to be as comfortable as we can.

And we wonder why we have no growth.

We wonder why—when the smallest thing in our life gets difficult—we wonder why we

cower and we run away.

I mean, our whole life is set up that way.

Our whole life is set up in the path of least resistance.

We don't want to suffer.

We don't want to feel discomfort.

So the whole time we're living our lives in a very comfortable area.

There's no growth in that.

So for me I realized that.

The reason I became 297 pounds is because that was comfortable.

What was very uncomfortable was running.

What was very uncomfortable was being on a diet.

What was very uncomfortable was trying to face things that I didn't want to face.

And I also realized when I was really big: I had no growth.

Why?

Because I was living comfortable.

So I realized for me to find growth I had to face all these different things that made

me very, very uncomfortable.

One thing I faced was running.

I absolutely hated running.

But I knew for me to grow I had to do this thing every single day.

I wanted to start callus-ing my mind.

I wanted to start becoming a better person.

And how do you become a better person?

How do you gain mental toughness?

How do you become the person you want to be?

It's by constantly facing the things that you don't want to face.

If you constantly run away from things that you don't want to face, how is there growth?

How is there mental toughness?

I can give you a class all day long about self-talk, visualization, "eat an elephant

one bite at a time", but if you're never putting yourself in a situation to actually

practice these things you're never going to grow.

We're all going through a battle in our mind.

A warrior is not a person that carries a gun.

The biggest war you ever go through is right between your own ears.

It's in your mind.

We're all going through a war in our mind and we have to callus our mind to fight that

war and to win that war.

So one example I can give you about callus-ing your mind, about doing things that make you

uncomfortable.

There's a book out there called 'Lone Survivor' and there's a guy named Marcus Luttrell.

He was on an operation where a bunch of guys died, and I knew all the guys that died.

And I know Marcus Luttrell very well.

This story touched my heart.

And I basically went out there and found a foundation to raise money for it.

It's called the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

You give 100 percent tuition for—let's say your dad died in the war.

He was a special operator.

If that guy had a kid, you get 100 percent tuition to go to college.

A great foundation, great people working at the foundation.

"I'm going to do this."

So I Googled the ten hardest races in the world.

And at this time of my life I was not a runner.

I maybe ran ten miles the whole year.

I was into bodybuilding, I was into weight training, and that's what I did.

So I Googled the ten hardest races in the world and what came up number one was this

race called the Badwater 135.

It's a 135-mile race through Death Valley in the summertime.

So I wanted to get in this race.

I thought it was actually a stage race—I thought it was a race where you ran like 20

miles, set up a camp, and then ran 20 miles the next day.

I didn't know people ran 100 miles, 135 miles at one time.

I didn't know it was even possible.

I had never even run a marathon.

So I called the race director up, his name was Chris Kostman, and I called him up on

a Wednesday.

And this is in November.

He said, "David, to qualify for my race you have to do 100 miles."

And I said, "100 miles in a calendar year?"

I didn't know what was going on.

He said, "No, 100 miles in 24 hours or less."

And I thought that was humanly impossible.

He said, "So you've got to do that in 24 hours or less for me to consider you in

my race."

He goes, "There's a race on Saturday."

And I called him up on Wednesday.

That was four days for me to get ready for this race.

And I ran ten miles the whole year.

And so he said, "If you qualify, if you do 100 miles in 24 hours or less, I might

consider you in my race."

So four days later I'm out there in San Diego and the race was called the San Diego

One Day, where you run around a one-mile track for 24 hours to see how many miles you can

get.

And so I go out there, I didn't know what I was doing: I had my Myoplex and Ritz crackers.

And I had a blue lawn chair.

That's all I had.

And I was going to see my crew person every single mile.

And I was going to drink Myoplex and have a Ritz cracker.

I had no water.

I had nothing.

Went out there, got to mile 20, wasn't feeling too bad.

Around mile 30 I started feeling my shins starting to get extremely sore and I started

to develop stress fractures, shin splints.

I started feeling the metatarsals in my feet starting to break at around mile 50.

By mile 70 I was totally destroyed.

And I sat down in the blue lawn chair and I was destroyed.

And when a bigger person sits down—I don't know exactly how much I weighed but I was

extremely big, I was a power lifter, I lifted a lot of weights and I was not an endurance

athlete by any means.

So I sat down on this blue lawn chair, looked at my crew person, and I literally couldn't

stand up.

I was destroyed.

And I couldn't go to the bathroom.

Well I couldn't stand up to go to the bathroom.

So I sat there and I went to the bathroom on myself.

I was destroyed.

And I was discolored.

I was pale.

I was dizzy, lightheaded.

I was in the worst shape of my entire life.

I had been in three Hell Weeks, Ranger School, all these different training programs, and

this was the worst situation I've been in in my entire life.

I thought I was literally dying.

And all I could think about was, "How can I get out of this chair.

I have 30 miles to go."

And after everything I had gone through, I realized that the human mind, if you can put

it in a very quiet, calm place and get it to calm down and not be so spastic, that you

could possibly make this work out for you.

"How bad are you really?"

So I calmed myself down and I had to make this enormous thing small.

I had 30 more miles to run and my body was in the worst shape in my entire life.

The worst pain I ever felt in my life.

So I broke this 30 miles thing down.

I broke it down to small chunks.

I calmed my mind down.

I had to get water, had to get potassium, had to get sodium.

I had to stop being so dizzy, because I had to be able to stand up.

So my dizziness went away after about an hour.

I was able to stand up now.

And I was going around this track at, like, a 30-something-minute mile.

And I'll never forget my crew person saying, "Hey."

I got to mile 81.

They said, "You're not going to make the time."

I had 24 hours and I was going so slow, taking so much time.

This is when I realized that the human mind, once everything gets connected, once the mind

knows you're not going to quit something, it's going to try to find more.

It's going to try to give you more.

Once it realizes you're not going to take the path of least resistance—you're going

to stay here until it's done—my mind and my body and my spirit became one for the first

time ever.

For the first time ever it became one.

And I went to a level that I never thought was humanly possible for myself or anybody

else.

And in that shape that I was in, I was able to run 19 miles.

And I ran 19 miles and did 100 miles—I actually did one more mile—I did 101 miles in 18

hours and 56 minutes.

I'd overcome so many obstacles in my life, and this was the final crucible for me.

And I got through it, and at the end of this race was such clarity to me.

And it was just the most amazing thing I ever did in my life.

And it was just the most amazing thing I ever did in my life.

7 Crazy Ways to get Moons without Using the Capture Ability in Super Mario Odyssey! - Duration: 6:36.

Before we start this just a quick note on spoilers, this video contains no major spoilers

for odyssey but it obviously contains gameplay footage and the location of a couple of moons.

So with that being said, I'm in love with Mario's movement in odyssey.

It is incredible what is possible in this game.

Mario is able to jump, dive and bounce to almost every location imaginable.

While we have cappies fantastic capturing ability for the first time in a mario game,

in my opinion we don't need it.

So I like to play games in unintended ways and during my first playthrough I tried to

use mario's insane movement instead of cappy-capture as often as possible, and this is surprisingly

often possible.

In this video I want to take a look on my favorite 7 capture skips in the game.

So are you ready, let's do this!

So here Mario is in a dangerous room filled with toxic waves.

If our plumber touches one of these waves he, uhm, he loses ten coins which he really

wants to avoid because there is this awesome costume on sale.

The intended way to beat this stage is by capturing this little frog and to jump from

platform to platform.

But this is not only really slow and annoying, it is also completely skippable by a little

bit of insane movement.

Let's take a look.

It took me awhile to get this, and it is definitely not easy but totally worth it as it skips

being a frog.

By the way as far as I know the game is already beatable to 100% frogless but we will see

more of this in a moment.

But first let's take a look at this moon.

Here Mario is supposed to capture this uproot in order to climb this enormous tree.

This is definitely the second best way to get this moon, but if mario is up for a challenge

he can actually do this instead.

This is not only a lot slower than doing it with the uproot but it is a lot harder and

there is literally no benefit of doing it this way.

. . I love it.

So here our plumber is supposed to capture a wiggler and to wiggle from platform to platform.

But who wants to wiggle when jumping feels so great.

Luckily this is completely optional once again as it is surprisingly easy to make it through

this section without wiggler.

It's actually really easy as well, I like this section because it showcases how incredible

mobile mario is without being completely crazy.

I actually spent quite some time trying to skip the last switches since they waste a

ton of frames, but as far as i can tell it is required to push them.

Next up is a really easy and quick skip.

So this moon is called ride the jet-stream and mario has to ride this Gushen towards

the moon here in order to collect it.

But if mario doesn't feel especially octopus today he is also able to reach the moon this

way instead.

So that's actually slower than riding the gushen, but I think it is hilarious that there

is a moon called ride the jet-stream which has an interesting second option to collect

in this game, since, uhm, we already had something like this before.

Okay back to frogs or no frogs to be precise.

In this room mario is once again supposed to transform into an amphibian and to to make

use of it's insane jumping ability.

But mario's jumping abilities are already insane.

Mario needs no frog to jump high.

Enjoy.

This is one of the coolest looking movement sequences in the game I know about and actually

a ton of fun to pull of, sadly this room is in the cap kingdom which means we will probably

never see it in a 124 moons speedrun but at least the 503 moons category will probably

run it.

So before we had to my favorite capture skip in the game let's take a look at a really

easy one anyone can pull off.

In the wood kingdom there is this section where mario is supposed to transform into

an uproot once again in order to raise these platforms and to collect this moon.

Luckily this uproot transformation is completely optional since it is possible to wall-jump

up there with ease.

I actually believe that it is possible to collect every moon in the game without using

uproots, with the exception of one fight.

Okay now let's take a look at my favorite skip.

So in this room mario is supposed to transform into a moe-eye which allows him to see all

the invisible platforms hidden here.

Than our statue possessing plumber is supposed to ride the platform towards the end in order

to collect this moon.

As you might have already guessed it is possible to ride this platform without capturing to

capture the moe-eye.

. . But that's not what we are going to do because that's boring, we are going to

skip the platform as well.

Enjoy!

So that was the last skip I wanted to show you.

I'm really interested in finding out what the minimum amount of captures required to

beat this game is.

Maybe it's possible to beat it with less than 10 captures!

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this little video, if you enjoyed it don't forget to leave

me a thumbs up and maybe you feel especially un-captured today and want to hit the subscribe

button as well.

I hope that you have a wonderful day and to see you soon, goodbye!
