Almost a Hero - Best team for beginners - Solo Vexx - English Subtitles - Duration: 8:26.

What's up guys!

I'm Narciso and in this Almost a Hero's video

I'm going to talking about the strategy of Solo Vexx

It'll work well

until stage 350 to 400

Starting a new game

Choosing a ring

I always liked lightning ring for this strategy

Starting

Not to suffer too much

I'm going to buy a auto tap

And let's leave it making gold

It'll start making gold

At the beginning of the game it's good to upgrade the ring

To have more damage and hit alone

If you have some runes

You can put runes in the ring

It's interesting to put a rune as soon as you can.

At the beginning it doesn't matter which rune you have

The important thing is to be using

Building the team

The first one is a defensor, Belly

The best team for this strategy until now

Second item is gold, so I'm choosing V

She'll give us enough gold

Third...

Then you can choose to go with Lenny

But in this case

I'm thinking of going with Sam to increase the defense of all the heroes.

Fourth position

Vexx or Hilt

I prefer Vexx in fourth position

because it will lower the cost of upgrading

I'll show you soon

And now, Hilt.

Put in some skill points in Belly to show you

What are the major upgrades that should be done

Let's go. Belly

The first item

is cost reduction in the max

So, each time Belly recive a hit

receive damage from the enemy

will decrease by up to 53%

This is enough, it will cost very little

to do the upgrade

The second importante hero

is V, to earn gold.

This one.

You can upgrade in max

Save some points and upgrade in the max

So she'll increase gold until 85%

And it's so much

Let her steal more gold

You can put at maximum

This item

increases the gold gain of treasure

So every time that a treasure appear, you earn more gold

you can put it at the maximum as well

The other points you can put

In the ultimate

or in the other passive skills

There you go studying and choosing.

Sam

He's good to help in defense

the all heroes

He has a interesting skill

That is Shiled' em All

This shield you can put at maximum

It will increase defense by 60%

according to the life of each hero

The second item

that is good you put in

To reduces cooldown of Shield'

of Shield' em All

So you can upgrade on max

It'll help to defense

and the cooldown is in 40s

In this case, Shield'em All has 80s

And you can upgrade some more points in

Shield' em All

These two items are important to defense

Now, the most important of this strategy,

is Vexx

Vexx is the main caracther

at the beginning.

You can evolve or kill faster

Her main item also is reduce cost

like Belly. But Belly need to receive damage

and she needs to kill enemies.

Every time that she kill an enemy, the cost will reduce

So if you put in max

It'll reduce in

80% each upgrade.

Then you will earn more gold with V

and you'll reduce the gold cost

with Belly and Vexx.

Consequently, the second item

for this strategy is, that she kills.

So if she needs to kill

You'll upgrade her ultimate.

When you upgrade her ultimate

You'll have other skills

Following the left tree

the last her skill.

It will increase the amount of hammer it will give to enemies

In this case, she'll give a lot of damage

with 6 times.

I'm going to make more points, to increase the last skill

so you see how many times she will hit the enemies

Putting in 4 more points

So she increased 4 more points.

She increased 10 times that she'll hit the enemies

But... She's alone, doesn't work well.

So she need a supporter.

The Hilt in this formation does not get much damage

It will be another support of Vexx.

I'll put some points so you have some idea.

The first item

is this.

It increase critical hit chance.

It will increase the critic, but only the critic will work?

No, only the critic does not work. What will help to works

is his last skill.

The more critical damage he gives, the more his enemies' defense goes down.

Then the other heroes will deal more damage

I'll upgrade in max this one.

Every time he gives a critic, will increase the damage of the other heroes by 22%

We can also increase the chance of critical

Maybe there will be no points remaining to increase

So I'm putting in the ultimate too

Putting the ultimate on max

It'll increase the damage

Then he will spin the sword like a madman for eight times

So let's improve on his ultimate.

In the last skill.

He'll hit more 2 times.

Let's increase. Then he will spin the sword 4 more times

And in the end it is increasing in 12 more spins of the sword

This is very important.

The combination of Vexx and Hilt

is very important at the beginning of the game.

Increasing some more hammering.

The idea what it is!

It is always important to increase the bonus points.

The idea is! Enable Hilt ultimate...

and soon after, the Vexx ultimate.

The Hilt will spin and the Vexx hammer.

In the meantime the ring is active.

Can add more defense,

gain gold.

It goes from the idea of each player.

That's the strategy. It works very well.

In this case I'm at max.

And I can go furthermore.

But this is just to teach you

how you can evolve

in this beginning

Earned points.

Go and increase the main skills.

Go training and testing new teams.

and that's it. Thank you so much for watching.

Enjoy the video and subscribe to the channel.

Bye!!!

How I Make Money Online

-------------------------------------------

Airbnb Hosts: Don't Confuse Hospitality with Generosity - Duration: 6:53.

Hello my YouTube friends its richard founder of short-term rental university

and Airbnb super host on today's video we're gonna talk about a place where I

think a lot of people are losing money and since we as hosts are here to being

profit let's just cut it out look I recognize that what I'm about to say is

gonna be controversial and a lot of people are gonna have comments so go

ahead and comment I want to hear what you want to say and let's get into this

debate that's the whole point of learning I want to hear about different

people's opinions and I think we all benefit from it and here's the

controversial thing what I'm realizing when I look at the Facebook group and I

speak to people in the meetups is we don't really understand what hospitality

means we confuse hospitality with like generosity and that's okay occasionally

but that doesn't have to be something that we do every single time because at

the end of the day we're running a business here and the way that a

business succeeds in the long run is by being profitable and just as a reminder

I think we all know this but like profitability comes from your revenue

how much you make on Airbnb per night the number of nights minus your expenses

and the expense component is something that we don't spend a lot of time on

just realize that these expenses are the chips and the snacks and the crackers

that you go and get it's the spending more money on a certain type of coffee

and I'm a certain type of beer and leaving wine out it's on spending more

than you need to on toilet paper sheets towels whatever right like there is a

bare minimum that we need to do and then we have to be above that so we're not at

like that you know bare minimum level we're all

super oh so we're above that but above here let's calculate the return on

investment is that really good worthwhile investment from your business

so let me show you what I'm talking about so let me go ahead and draw this

here we're gonna call this the STR you satisfaction quotient how do you like

that Charles all right cool so look here's a basic line and it's gonna be

like the the bare minimum expectation based on what they've read in the

reviews and how much you're paying and like that's the bare minimum value now

anything below that we're gonna go ahead and put that in read that gets people

really angry like you can't be down there that's just a fail alright so you

want to be at that black line or better now we don't want to just be at that

black line we as super hosts we actually want to be

on top of that line we want to be ahead of that line right we want to delight

our guests and so that's this line here okay I think that that's a really good

place to be in terms of getting five-star reviews and making people

happy and delighting them and so on and so forth and the way you can achieve

that is actually through caring and hospitality that is like free so you can

put a handwritten no you can use a chalkboard you can have a map you can

engage them to do certain things you can leave like magazines that you have you

can have a guide that tells them where to go there's all sorts of things that

you can introduce your guests to that don't actually cost any money and you

can even do things that are inexpensive and meaningful so if you want to have

you know one or two snacks or something like that or I don't know microbrew beer

or anything like it's okay to spend a little bit of money but what I'm seeing

a lot in the Facebook group and in the meetups are people that are just

spending an awful lot of money above that line like going way overboard

spending way too much money on on basic necessities from you know maybe paper

towels or toilet paper or that and I must have 600 count sheets and I iron

everything and at the end of the day people don't really notice they may

appreciate it they may think it's super great but it's not gonna influence their

buy decision you don't want to be there right they're not going to influence

their buy decision it may not influence the night knightly rate like you're not

gonna get any more money for it and it may not even influence your five-star

review so like there's no point in doing it by doing all of that by spending all

that money and your time right like going to get to specialty cheese and the

wine and so on not only spending time and money but you're not getting any

reward and so like the thing that you want to try and do is be in that sweet

spot here in the green above the bare minimum substantially doing things that

delight your guests and make them happy and make them want to come back and

write about your stuff in your review spending a modest amount of money

keeping the eyes on the expenses and avoid everything above that because at

the end of the day we're all running a business here and we just can't waste

money unnecessarily it's just not a good idea and it's

sustainable and so while it sounds really great and you feel like you're

doing all this wonderful things for your guests you may not be doing the best

thing for yourself and to do really right by your guests you need to be in

business for a long period of time to delight hundreds if not thousands of

guests over a significant period of time so the green is the sweet spot all right

so I'm clearly not that good at that but I wanted to try and illustrate it I hope

it made some sense when we did that like at the meetups people's eyes literally

lit up and here's the point we're in this to be profitable many of us want to

expand on to you know our second or third properties and the best way to do

that is by keeping an eye on our expenses especially if you charge a low

nightly rate like if you're at $100 or below those expenses are critical to

your success and I see a lot of people spending unnecessarily to outfit like

there are air B&B properties the way that they like to live and you don't

need to do that right so like if you like a twenty dollar bottle of Pinot

Noir you don't need to do that if you like 600 thread-count sheets in your

place you don't need to outfit your Airbnb rentals like that you need to

think about what you do to exceed the bare minimum significantly but not like

go overboard spending money and throwing money at this stuff does not translate

into hospitality into five-star reviews or even into appreciation what really

improves your ratings and your five-star reviews and stuff like that is knowing

your guests making sure that they're comfortable exceeding their expectations

and you can do that without throwing a lot of money out the door so I hope you

found that helpful one thing I'd encourage you to do is like leave a

comment tell us where you changed something and you saved a lot of money

Movies Canceled Because Of A Really Dumb Decision - Duration: 4:16.

It takes a lot of hard work and good luck to get a movie made, but all of that can be

ruined in an instant with just one bad decision.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how good the story is or how famous the stars are, because a

single moment of stupidity can wash it all away.

Here's a look at some promising movies that were cancelled because of a really dumb decision.

At the Mountains of Madness

The masterwork of horror and science-fiction author H.P.

Lovecraft, At the Mountains of Madness has long been a passion project for horror auteur

Guillermo del Toro.

And del Toro seems like the perfect fit for the tale of a group of scientists who discover

ancient, terrifyingly powerful entities in Antarctica.

Unfortunately, despite James Cameron producing and interest from Tom Cruise, del Toro couldn't

get funding from Universal because he told them it would be R-rated, meaning the teens

who usually flock to horror movies wouldn't be able to see it.

The project was cancelled, and del Toro later said he "should have lied" to executives and

told them that At the Mountains of Madness would be PG-13.

Halo

There were a lot of dumb decisions that led to the demise of the proposed Halo movie,

mostly because Microsoft apparently had no idea how Hollywood works.

They demanded a huge cut of profits and forced studios to jump through hoops to even have

a chance to read the script.

Plus, they wouldn't let Sony bid on the film at all — because Sony's PlayStation is one

of the Microsoft Xbox's chief video game console competitors.

Despite all that nonsense, Fox and Universal were both still interested and teamed up.

But then they made the final dumb decision in this whole dumb process when Universal

hired up and comer Neill Blomkamp to direct.

Blomkamp was a fan of the game with a distinct artistic vision.

The problem is, only Universal wanted him.

Both Fox and Microsoft reportedly hated what he was doing, wanting instead to make what

the director called a "generic, boring film — something like G.I.

Joe or some crap like that."

Ultimately, the only thing that came of it was some test footage that teases the great

Halo movie that could have been.

And Blomkamp?

He went on to make District 9 instead.

Great job, Microsoft!

Uncle Tom's Fairy Tales

In 1968, Richard Pryor wrote and starred in an extremely dark, socially conscious movie

with the intentionally controversial title Uncle Tom's Fairy Tales.

Pryor supposedly became so obsessed with making the film, his wife reportedly "destroyed the

negative of the then still unfinished movie in a fit a rage."

Nearly four decades later, another print of the film emerged thanks to director Penelope

Spheeris, but so far it hasn't been released either for legal reasons.

Pyongyang

Based on Guy Delisle's intense graphic novel about the struggles of living under the totalitarian

regime in North Korea, Pyongyang was supposed to start shooting in early 2015 with Steve

Carell in the lead role and Gore Verbinksi as director.

Then Sony decided to release The Interview in 2014.

That reportedly led to the infamous hack of the Sony servers in retaliation, not to mention

bomb threats against theaters that screened The Interview.

New Regency decided Pyongyang wasn't worth the hassle and canceled the film entirely.

The Beatles' version of The Lord of the Rings

J.R.R.

Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings books rank among the most beloved novels of all time.

First published as three separate volumes in 1954, it took until 2001 for Peter Jackson's

epic, live-action adaptation to hit movie theaters.

But there was an earlier version proposed in the 1960s — and it would have starred

The Beatles.

Yeah.

Those Beatles.

Besides doing a brand new double-album soundtrack, the Beatles were set to star in the live action

adaptation, with Paul McCartney as Frodo, Ringo Starr as Samwise, George Harrison as

Gandalf, and John Lennon as Gollum.

Unfortunately, Tolkien wasn't a Beatles fan, and he decided to nix the idea.

Otherwise both music and cinematic history would have been completely different… and

much, much weirder.

This Video Is NOT COOL (and neither am I) - Duration: 9:42.

I am definitely not someone who is just effortlessly cool.

Or glamorous. That's just not me.

Hey everyone, Dana here! The other day I was listening to this podcast that I really, really love.

It is called The Bittersweet Life and it's a podcast by two Americans who have both spent

time living abroad in Rome.

Of course I will link to the podcast down in the description box below.

They talk about life abroad but also so many other little spin off topics, like this episode

in particular, in which they were talking about, like, absurdly glamorous events, and

what made those events so glamorous in their mind.

And these were usually events that they had often just kind of stumbled into.

Listening to this episode made me think of two of my own stories that I would like to

share today.

The first one fits pretty well with the stories that they shared on the podcast, and

that was kissing Mr. German Man on the train platform in Munich.

At this time I had only been living in Europe for a few months, I was living in Prague at

the time, visiting Munich for a week, and just living in Europe in and of itself seemed

like a pretty glamorous thing.

Now, I will preface all of this by saying once again: I am not a glamorous person.

I am awkward and I like corny jokes.

I really love "dad jokes."

I like doing, you know, thumbs up.

And, yeah...I'm just not just like, you know, glamorous.

And I'm okay with that. That's not who I am. And that's totally cool. But anyway!

Stefan and I had been hanging out for a few days in Munich, and, oh my God, I was just

head over heels for him.

I fell so hard so quickly, right away.

And at the end of my time in Munich, he brought me to the underground platform and waited

with me for my train to pull up.

The train comes in, and as it rushes into the underground area the wind is just blowing

all over the place, my hair is blowing all over the place.

He pulls me into him and he kisses me all dramatically, dips me down like in the movies

-- or at least that's what I remember in my memory -- dips me down, and then brings

me back up and then he, like, drew me off of his arm, helping me rush onto the train at

the very last moment.

The train doors shut and as the train pulls away, he waves out his arm and says:

"I'll see you in Prague." I'll see you in Prague. I'll see you in Prague.

But the podcast also made me think of a more recent experience that I've had too.

This one did not feel so glamorous as it did cool.

Just oh, so cool.

Now, remember a few seconds ago when I assured you of how not glamorous I am? The same thing

applies to being cool as well.

However, the other day I found myself smack dab in the middle of just the

coolest of cool moments.

Not because of anything that I did to make it cool...except for my sweater!

Oh, maybe...yes...I did buy that sweater; hold on, wait, let me go get my sweater,

help set the mood. It was this one.

I was wearing this oversized -- let me see if I can get it on, oh it's hot in here -- this

oversized sweater-cardigan thing when it happened.

And this sweater is basically the coolest thing that I own.

That and my cut-off jean shorts.

Okay, so, what happened?

A couple weeks ago we had this incredibly warm perfect weekend here in Germany right

in the middle of October.

The summer had returned to Germany for one last hurrah, it was 25 degrees Celsius, and

it was just gorgeous.

I was hanging out with a friend of mine, very cool guy -- at least, I think he's cool.

I wonder now what he'll say when he watches this video -- and some of his equally very

cool friends, when they suggested we go up onto the roof of their apartment building,

apparently something they did all the time, which to me already immediately sounded like

such a cool thing to do.

Like a scene straight out of the movies; we were going to go up on the roof.

But I had no idea just how movie-esque things were about to get.

We climb up the ladder to the roof and what do I think to bring up there with me?

A bottle of water.

I go up onto a roof and I bring with me: some water.

Because, you know...hydration is very important.

We get up there and do you know what everyone else has brought up onto the roof with them?

Everything else besides water.

I sit down and I look around, and I realize: oh look at that, I'm sitting on a chair!

They brought chairs onto the roof.

Chairs, plural, as in, like, four or five of them.

Also blankets, multiple ones.

And these beautiful, huge decorative throw pillows that don't just provide a comfy

place to sit when I get sick of, you know, sitting on a chair on the roof, but also these

pillows are colorful and beautiful and they really help to set the mood.

And I brought water.

Some people also brought wine. But not with a bottle. There was no bottle. Just in glasses.

There were multiple glasses up on the roof this evening. And sodas. And beer.

And of course my water.

But wait, can we get back to the glasses of wine for a second?

There was no bottle.

So that means that they carried the wine glass with the wine in it

up the ladder and onto the roof.

See that's what I'm talking about -- this cool thing.

Like, I'm not that effortlessly cool to carry a glass of wine up a ladder and onto a roof. No. No!

On top of all of that someone then put some music on with their phone, but they did not

just play the music from their phone, no; they had brought with them this little speaker

system thing so that the sound quality would be top notch.

But there's more.

We had gone up fairy early in the evening, but then, once it started to get darker, that

same person who had brought the little speaker thing, pulled this small battery powered light

out of their bag and set it up in the, like, kind of corner of our area.

It was tinted red, so that it provided just the perfect touch of light without messing

up the ambiance. In fact, it added to the ambiance.

So there I found myself, up on a roof with quality music playing in the background, and

blankets, and decorative throw pillows, and chairs, and drinks in delicate little wine

glasses, and mood lighting, and of course my water, don't want to forget about my

water, and my big oversized sweater, and just when I was thinking, like, wow, did I just

fall out of a movie scene here?

A shooting star passed by overhead.

There was then a shooting star!

It was so cool.

Definitely not the kind of moment that I feel like would come naturally for me to put together myself.

If I found myself up on a roof, I would be sitting there with my water, and I would see

the shooting star, and it would still be cool...but not as cool.

So my question for you is: Do you think that people actually ever see themselves as cool,

or other people see them as cool, but they don't actually see themselves as cool?

Does anyone out there, do you see yourself as cool?

And also: what is a cool or glamorous moment that you've experienced?

Please let me know in the comments below.

Thanks so much for watching.

Until next time, auf Wiedersehen!

What is the most cool or glamorous....moment.

I am proving how uncool I am -- I just used "one last hurrah," and I even did, like, the arm thing.

Wasn't even sparkling water. It was still water.

Where Do These Famous Celebrity Feuds Stand Now? - Duration: 5:07.

While everyone loves some good drama now and again, some celebrities take their petty fights

way too far.

Whether they're trading blows with colleagues or romantic rivals, these stars can't help

but turn their small battles into years-long wars.

Kim Cattrall vs. Sarah Jessica Parker

They may have played BFFs on TV, but in real life, they were anything but close.

Sex and the City stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall have had their fair share

of drama over the years—and it all seemed to center around money.

In 2004, Cattrall lobbied for the show's main cast to earn 1 million dollars per episode.

And it never happened, which may have caused some resentment on Cattrall's part since Parker,

who was also an executive producer, was earning more than her co-stars.

Parker and Cattrall supported each other publicly, denying claims that they were enemies.

In 2016, Parker denied any cat-fighting between her and Cattrall, describing the cast to Howard

Stern, saying:

"This is a family of people who needed each other, relied upon each other, and loved each

other."

But the stars of the franchise certainly pointed fingers when production on the third spin-off

movie was halted in 2017, reportedly due to Cattrall allegedly demanding that execs greenlight

her other projects.

While Parker avoided calling Cattrall out to the press, Cattrall told Piers Morgan how

she felt about Parker, saying:

"I think she could have been nicer."

Co-star Willie Garson, who played Stanford Blatch, also waded into the mess in October

2017, sarcastically shading Cattrall on Twitter, writing, "Dear fans, because I'm 'toxic',

I'm going to negotiate a contract for 6 months, not come to terms, then say I never wanted

to do it anyway."

Tyrese Gibson vs. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

The Fast & the Furious fam had appeared to be tight-knit, so when Tyrese Gibson called

out co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, fans were understandably surprised.

The drama began with the news that Johnson, who played Hobbs, would star in a Fast spin-off

with Jason Statham, which reportedly pushed the release of the franchises' ninth film

to April 2020.

In an Instagram post, in early October 2017, Gibson shared Fast 9's release date, accusing

Johnson of making the franchise all about him.

He later shared an old photo of the Fast & Furious gang (minus Johnson), writing, "Diversity,

love...One Race, Fast Family…Until Dwayne showed up...I guess this whole time he had

a problem cause he wasn't the ONLY ONE on the movie poster."

While Johnson hasn't addressed the feud directly, he appeared to hint at the drama, posting:

"Big dogs eat.

Little crying puppies stay on the porch."

Sounds like this battle is far from over.

Jay-Z vs. Kanye West

Rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West used to be best buds.

However, something clearly seemed amiss in 2014 when Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, were

no-shows at West's wedding to Kim Kardashian.

Two years later, West bashed Jay-Z for "Trying to act like…

Steve [Jobs]" and launching the streaming service, Tidal, even though West had initially

supported the endeavor.

Things escalated when West went on a rant during a concert in October 2016, complaining

about how his daughter, North, had never had a playdate with Jay-Z's kid, Blue Ivy.

He also blasted Jay-Z and Beyoncé for not reaching out after Kardashian was robbed at

gunpoint in Paris.

In response, Jay-Z slammed West on his 2017 album, 4:44, calling his former friend, quote,

"insane."

Jay-Z also told Tidal's Rap Radar podcast that he was upset West had brought his wife

and child into their fight, saying:

"We've gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it's a problem

with me."

Clearly, this beef is still on the menu.

Taylor Swift vs. Kim Kardashian

Taylor Swift's battle with Kanye West sparked an entirely new feud with his wife, Kim Kardashian.

After Swift condemned West's "Famous" track, Kardashian accused her of playing the victim,

claiming Swift knew about the song prior to its release.

In July 2016, Kardashian released footage of a phone call between West and Swift, alleging

that the songstress can be heard approving of the track.

Though Swift does seem to be in on at least part of the song's controversial content,

Swift suggested that the context of that leaked conversation was incomplete, saying, "You

don't get to control someone's emotional response to being called 'that bitch' in front of the

entire world."

After some time away from the spotlight, Swift reemerged in 2017.

In her first single off her album Reputation, titled "Look What You Made Me Do," Swift took

not-so-subtle aim at her enemies and even embraced the snake emoji assigned to her by

Kardashian's camp.

Status of this feud: ongoing.

Blac Chyna vs. Rob Kardashian

Lovers' quarrels can get ugly—fast, but Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna took fighting

between exes to an extreme.

In July 2017, Kardashian shared sexually explicit photos of the mother of his daughter, Dream,

on social media, accusing her of cheating on him, doing drugs, and only having a child

with him to "spite" her ex, rapper Tyga—who'd famously dated Kardashian's younger sister,

Kylie Jenner.

In response, Chyna hired celebrity lawyer Lisa Bloom and filed for a restraining order

against Kardashian, alleging his posts were revenge porn and domestic abuse, according

to CNN.

Since then, both Chyna and Kardashian have attacked each other online and in the press,

accusing one another of domestic violence.

While it's doubtful they'll make up, let's hope they can figure out a way to be civil,

if only for their daughter.

Suneung: The stars behind the scenes - Duration: 2:37.

The big day is finally here.

After a one-week delay due to the earthquake in Pohang, high school seniors across the

country are once again mentally preparing themselves for the national college exam.

But the students aren't going into this alone.

It's Korean tradition for family and friends to come together to give all the support they

can.

Lee Jeong-yeon has this story.

One of the most important days for Korean students is upon us.

The day of the Suneung, or national college entrance exam.

The students are of course the stars of the show, but behind every great movie is an amazing

cast of supporting characters that make the stars shine.

(stand-up) It's a cold winter morning here at Bongeun-sa,

but more than 300 people are already gathered at the temple, mostly mothers praying for

their kids to ace the one-a-year test that could possibly decide the course of their

entire career.

Everyone at this temple has their child's test ID with them during prayers.

It's no mystery who they're praying for so hard here today.

(Korean) "The only thing we can do for them now is

pray.

We can't study for them or take the test for them.

So we want to give them all the energy we can get.

I'm sure all mothers feel the same way."

Some students have also come to pray with their mothers.

(Korean) "My kid has practically been preparing for

this test for 12 years.

When the test was postponed due to the earthquake it was… a really big struggle for both of

us.

But now it's finally happening so I'm here to pray for the best of him."

(English) "I'm really grateful for her, but I'm also

a little bit worried because she'd have to pray for almost seven or eight hours but her

body isn't well.

I also want her to... consider her health when she's praying."

Friends and relatives also do what they can to wish the students good luck.

And they often do this through gift sets of 'dduk ,' a sticky Korean ricecake that symbolizes

"passing the test" as the Korean word for "stick" also refers to "getting accepted."

To say the whole academic life of a Korean student leads up to this one day would not

be an overstatement.

So around this time of year in Korea, everyone comes together as one big cheerleading team,

and it is this kind of energy from friends and loved ones that help the high school seniors

go out with a bang.

ONBOARD DUCATI DIAVEL: my story - what was my first bike - Duration: 5:24.

I'd like you to know more about me.

Regarding the motorcycles mostly.

Since I remember, there was always some motorcycle in the background.

And my first motorcycle...

check this out...

I got as a gift.

My dad was really generous and many years ago when I was a kid

he got for me a Honda XR70.

This was a bike with semi-automatic clutch and therefore no clutch lever.

However, it had 3 gears.

I'm not from a generation that rode old bikes like WSK, Junak and the rest.

I on the other hand started "in the mud".

And I was into it a lot!

From the beginning I really liked the style of motocross itself.

And these motorcycles.

What was the best was the sound of that 4-stroke Honda XR70!!!

It was sounding better than larger motorcycles that...

... that my dad was owning.

Well, till today I remember how he was laughing about it!

I don't know how old I was but maybe 7...

8? I don't remember if I was at school yet or not.

7, 8, 9, maybe 10...

The next challenge after the Honda - since it was brought to me as well,

was a KTM.

In terms of physical size it was really tiny.

It was a KTM SX65.

This time it was a 2-stroke motorcycle.

And it was a challenge indeed.

I remember many stories with it.

Including an interesting flight through the handlebar in some forest in the north.

This, yeah, I remember this very clearly.

I also remember that many falls resulted in throttle getting stuck.

I really don't know how this was happening.

But the throttle was stuck while fully opened... :D

It was causing lots of noise and smoke.

Plenty of stuff flying around as well!

Then when I was 13 and I could get a moped licence

a Yamaha DT50 appeared in front of me.

This is how I appeared on the streets.

Till that time I was only allowed to ride on private roads.

It was a great thing that helped me commute a lot.

Not necessarily a sports bike hunter

but really cool for a young guy.

Just when I reached 16 years old

I could get an A1 licence for 125 cc motorcycles.

That's when I started riding a Honda Varadero 125.

And that was my choice!

That was something as it was a full-size bike!

The Honda was black, had a 4-stroke engine and...

... limited to a speed of 85 km/h.

It didn't bother me too much in morning traffic in Warsaw.

From time to time I managed to ride my dad's KTM.

It was an EXC 450.

4-stroke engine that could give me the preformance that I liked.

And brutal roar of the engine.

Then the story is much more up to date.

After short episodes with a BMW R 1150 RT

that I was borrowing from daddy

I got onto my deam motorcycle.

Beautiful, deep-sounding, quick and cherry-colored machine

that I have till this day - a Suzuki DL 1000.

It's being taken care of by Michał Szrama from Warsaw

who is the only person that I trust

and who repaired the thread that I broke in the slot for draining engine oil.

He was the only one to agree to try to fix it and he did it in his service.

He was always helpful and absolutely everyone who...

... who I recommended him to,

was super happy with my recommendation.

Good service is extremely important.

That is not just a slogan.

If you have someone you can trust, consider yourself very lucky!

It's the same regarding a motorcycle, a car and everyday life!

So I'm really happy that I could share this story with you.

New chapters are written every other year.

I did not mention the motorcycles that

the dealers were giving to me for test rides.

It was many of them, however...

the only very special to me is and will be my first Suzi!

Morning Conversations with Jim Self and Roxane Burnett - Are you on Edge? - Duration: 11:23.

Jim let's continue the conversation. Last week we talked about the Third Chakra,

power, resistance, control, control and judgment and gave a couple examples of-

current examples of how a person who's been living in a box created

their own world. It starts to shake apart. Yep. And so let's continue that with kind

of living on the edge or-- That's good, yeah that's a good way to describe it. So

I used last week the example of an earthquake and if you ever had the

experience of an earthquake you are out of control. There's no place to go. You

you have no place to go, period. It's just you're out of control. And so right now

with this Shift and again it's a spiritual Shift. The underlying, the

underpinning of everything is a spiritual transition to the fifth

dimension and that doesn't make any sense to the average person on the

street. What they know though, is something within their status quo has

been shaken. They can't put their finger on it

they just know the Earth is moving in a manner of speaking. And when that begins

to happen people begin to be uncomfortable. And so again that

reactionary nature of the third dimension goes into play: I'm unsure,

I'm unsafe, I don't know what to do and-- what you're watching in the world

is this whole level of nationalism, of mine versus yours, I have to get, take

care of me, my family. Us versus them. And so it's an us-versus-them quite often.

Yeah, so and there is this really flashpoint

in a lot of personalities: I'm not sure, I'm afraid, I don't want you to take mine,

and so you're seeing this happen all over the world and it's being

complicated in so many ways by, like the war in Syria or in Lebanon, and the

refugees, or Puerto Rico having devastation and not knowing what to do

and many of the people in Puerto Rico have the right to come to Florida, to the

United States. And so you begin to see the, these levels where people... You get

new neighbors. And we can talk about this next week, and a way to remedy this but

basically, I don't know you and what do you want from me, you look different than me,

and you look different, you're not the same color, you have a funny thing on

your head, what does that all mean to me? And this is the transition. This is

what's happening. You can't take your baggage with you. The universe

understands that in this transition, so what it's doing, totally from a place of

being very benevolent and kind, is it's giving you room to let all that stuff

bubble up to the surface and leave. But what we do when it comes to the surface,

my uncertainty, my doubt about you, how dare you, we grab a hold of it and then

define the circumstances by our fears and our lack and our uncertainty. Our

reactionary nature comes to the surface. So you're watching this on edge, how

people communicate with one another. And so the reason this is really important

topic I think, is because whether you think so or not you're on edge. There is

an edge. Now you can be very competent, very capable, you play in Mastering

Alchemy, you understand certainty and present time, observation, choosing from a

very grounded kind of higher perspective and at the next level down there is a

transition in the fabric of this Shift. It's really very much like growing up

your whole life in summer and all of a sudden fall begins. It's like: what does

this mean, and the leaves are turning colors and that's never happened, and the

temperature is changing that's never happened. Transition. But if your

status quo is a very limited point of reference, no allowance for interesting

opportunities versus "I'm afraid of." Well you know also, if a person pays attention

to the media, pays attention to the current events, it's demonstrating that

reaction. It's demonstrating being on edge and instantly responding. React--

reacting to a situation and so seeing that demonstrated could have the

tendency of a person who's otherwise saying, doing the same thing, reacting in

a situation, or even just subtly having a thought, seeing someone different and

going, "Mmhmm." Yeah. Just that subtle. Yeah and the the news

media, the politics-- what's happening is there's lots of divides in them. It's

like you, you look at politics in the United States and I just use the

Republican Party, it's not one party anymore, as an example. It's many

coalition's and divisions of thought that is labeled under this umbrella

Republican Party. Not good, bad, just how it is. And then you get the media

basically in a contest between one another and beating up one another.

Well that average person doesn't have a sense of truth as a sense of imbalance.

And so all of a sudden the "Me, too - oh I that must be it, I am going to agree with

that, that's how I think, too." And the division begins to become more grounded

in, "This is my new truth." And there is only one truth in my-- with a little

key, because I don't do "truth", is: you're in transition. Change is the only

constant in the universe and this is a really big change. So if you start

grabbing ahold of it and defining it as truth you're going to find in your next

breath it's an uncertainty, because that change is

just very much moving from a universe of summer to a universe of fall. And it is

very much, is shaking people's foundations. And and we're not suggesting

don't pay attention to what's out there, but pay attention to it from your own

space. Like a level one tool: put up your Rose and watch the news, watch what's

going on from your side of the Rose so that you can observe it from a place of

neutrality and not get sucked into all of that drama. And, and see it as theater

and and at the same time ask, "Ok it's in front of me, where do I do the same thing?"

Yeah and there's another little piece to this and we've been playing this game

where we will watch CNN or MSNBC some of the

some of the very liberal points of reference. And then I'll turn it and

listen to a Lou Dobbs or a Fox News and and it's astonishing because the exact

same quote has two very different universes. And my objective is: I'm in

actually in disagreement with both ends of the spectrum because they're too

exclusive, they're too-- they exclude too many possibilities. And so it's like:

can I be neutral and just watch this without realizing how the heck can you

even get to that place. But the reality is, great portions of people are in each

one of these divides and the thing about it is they have no, no capacity to

understand the other one. Well, that's, they have the capacity but it's like you

and I. We'll sit and say, "How can somebody think like that, how can they be so

unkind, so sarcastic without uplifting, nurturing somebody?"

Well it goes back to what we talked about last week. That First Chakra, third

dimension is in survival. Right. And so that's black and white, that's: I have to

protect myself no matter what. I can't be in a

place of neutrality, I can't be open to other possibilities because that

threatens my survival. Right. So going back to the tools of Mastering Alchemy,

that's because of who we are, if you can get grounded, stay in the center of your

head, stay on your side of the Rose, this is me and that Shakespeare's theatre to

entertain me. And you can begin to choose. I want to observe. I don't want to engage,

I want to observe. That level of observation in neutral and in balance is

going to become the stepping stones, or at least the guiding process to where do

I put my foot next without being pulled by the magnetics of they're bad and they're

good and this is true and that's not true. So this transition is a journey.

It's a, it's a transition. You're moving from point A to point B. See if you can

stay out of the sides, that "them and us" because soon as you go to "this is true"

you're in conflict with, and arguing with, and on the edge of somebody else's

argument and truth right in front of you. And it's in, it's even more than that.

See if you can stay out of the black and white without isolating yourself, without

withdrawing and rejecting what's out there. Yeah. We could keep going

all day on this. So you see there's the positive side to this: there is some

really remarkable stepping stones that are being laid in front of you. But when

you're defending and protecting and arguing with, and agreeing with, and

opposing, you don't see this fabulous landscape that's being laid out right in

front of you of well-being and opportunity. So let's, let's talk

next week about how do you begin to neutralize all of that tension, and it's

done with one word. It's absolutely one word. The most important word on the

whole planet is an alignment of energy and we'll talk about that next week. Very

good. Good, this was good. Mm-hmm. Enjoy.

How To Deal With Failure? - Duration: 11:15.

[Music] Hey guys welcome to the show today

Satish Gaire here from Dallas Texas and we actually.. whats so funny

what's so funny what's so funny

[Nikesh] I just got something in my chest and I couldn't

stop laughing.

[Satish] that's funny. So guys welcome to the show

that's my that's my co-host Nikesh Chapagain up there

Nikesh go ahead and you know talk about whatever your you know your past

girlfriends what do you want to talk about

Whoa Whoa.. I don't know I don't know if I can

say that you know these days people get sued for posting pictures of their

girlfriends on Facebook so a little careful

[Satish] got it got it.. So we want to talk

about failure today and why failing too many times is

actually a good thing and why failure is actually you know why

everyone should go through that before you know before attempting something big

or you know pretty much anything in life so I want to let Nikesh start off

Nikesh why is failure important in your terms [Nikesh] Okay so to kind of explain more

into that I want to use a quote and the quote is that in my successes [Satish] did you write this quote? [Nikesh] there are failures I don't know I let's just say I wrote it okay I guess

someone is out there going to be the... repeat the quote one more time yeah so its success in my

successes there are failures and that pretty much means that to get anywhere

to become successful to get an amount of success you're gonna go through failures

right and we can say this in our personal level because we didn't wake up

with a bank full of money or some one day we didn't wake up with you know

clients outside our door knocking asking you know here take my money all right

give me your services we went through failure to get there

so that's pretty much what the quote means right and [Satish] this quote if you really

think about it say it one more time and let people realize what it actually okay

[Nikesh] I'm gonna say really slow and maybe sexy sexy I don't know we'll see how it it

just say so can you say in French I don't I don't know French okay okay maybe

German okay go ahead so what the quote is is that in my

successes there are failures now think about it guys in your

successes there's failure so it's actually it's think about this way

it's like it's impossible to be successful without having some failure

exactly that's what the point of the whole quote is and like he said he

doesn't know who wrote it so we'll go ahead and credit it to Nikesh right

there I'll take the credit I don't mind okay so guys don't don't start create

memes or any you know those are those things call it the people post on

Facebook with their quote yeah what's called I don't know I just call them

motivational pictures well there's no pictures if you create those with that

quote you have to quote him okay and make sure to you know credit me as well from

you got it from YouTube my youtube channel now let's go ahead and talk

about like you know rejection and failure you know they're pretty much you

know I want to go and talk to others they're side by side by side they're

pretty much the same thing and that rejection is actually in failure the

reason I want you to accept it is because think of it this work I think of

it in a number game now getting you know let's say you got rejected 10 times

15 times on the 20th time no one will be able to reject you.. If you fail

15 times the 20th time you won't there's no way you can fail because you have

learned all the ways you can you know that things won't work out like what's

this what's that what's that quote from Thomas Edison that's something about

I've learned I don't know 100 ways it won't work there's a quote right? [Nikesh] yeah I

think well I don't know about that quote but I want to give another quote while

he was thinking that thought or something else odd this is used in

sports a lot they say you're not measured by how many times you fall yeah

but how many times you get back you get back I you get back up so having more

failures means that you're pretty much close to success close to being a super

head superstar so with that in mind you know I want to talk to you guys about

you know how we were you know about 3-4 years ago so we were

(Story telling time)

[Satish] yeah so we were making you know cold calls

you know every day like in 9 a.m. we would be here we didn't have salespeople

back in the days for 3-4 years where our salespeople yeah which I mean

if you're starting a business anything that's that's who you are right you're

your own sales team in the beginning right and at that point I remember it

very very clearly we would make calls all day long and we know you remember

okay yeah we called when we call people up some people would be like you

know you know "shut the fuck up" or something crazy right yeah I mean I got

cussed out so many times people told me they would buy me "I can buy you" or "don't

call me again" or sometimes you know we would go

through the whole pitch and we still get a no you know they would want to listen to us

but the ultimate answer's no and that's not what we want to hear right and you

have to learn that you know those each of those failures who actually set you

up for success now think about it so we went through you know getting rejected

calls pretty much every single day yeah but here's the thing okay so every time

we got rejected we learned something from that call and we used it to improve

our next call so for example you know our early early days calls when we were

cold calling you know we would call people up and you know we'd be like hey

can I talk to blah blah blah you know we kind of changed our introduction okay we

started to using you know what elevator pitch kind of style my voice something

happened I need to I need to drink your water I'll add on to it and kind of

going back to what Satish said it's not uh you know you do learn from it but in

the beginning it's it's difficult right we we see we get NOs we get hung up you

know going back to that cold call example people cuss us out whatever it

may be we never took it well I can't say we never because in the beginning we

were sad right we we were disappointed that we weren't getting the answers we

wanted or you know the type of responses we wanted but after you know what would

you say maybe 50 or 60 calls yeah we kind of we're like okay you say no to us

we're gonna figure out a way for you to say yes to us yes

and you know after 50 calls you can go back and look at it and you know we're

using cold calls as an example but this kind of goes in anything right you can fail

to like ride a horse or something like that right you know the failure we're

not just you know focusing on cold calling this could be applied to

relationships you know but Nikesh it does not mean that you should go ask

well I guess it will work out so Nikesh if you went if well if we went out right

to the mall Frisco, Texas mall right here if we

went out and asked every girl we saw on a date with us one of them will say yes

tonight yeah I think eventually eventually yeah

well me I might get more than one yes maybe like 50 or 60 but you you'll get

one yes for sure for sure right so if I go to the mall and that here's the same

principle guys you know relationship, business, life, okay

failures do not define you now think about it this way have you ever heard

someone talk about okay let's say you know have you ever hurt someone once you

get famous once you get that success have you have heard anyone talk about

hey this guy used to work at you know used to fail at this no one talks about

people's failure they will only remember your successes so once you have that one

big hit no one cares about you your failures okay yeah so no one will even

remember those failures so take failures and make him your best friends yep

you learn more through failing like he said then you do your successes and once

you're at the top you know that you got there because of learning from your

failures not from you know you might success and be like okay I did this and

this right but then when you fail you see so many things that you did wrong so

many things that you can redo or do a different way to get you know a better

result and like you said you learn from your successes and no one's gonna really

remember what you failed at you know you you might not be a good coffee maker but

eventually you know the skills you learn from coffee failing to make coffee might

help you somewhere else down the road exactly so that those are really good

points and any closing thoughts last thing is just don't let off a

or bring you down I know it looks like it's the end of the world but it's not

you know it's not shines again tomorrow right there are so many people you know

if it's a cold calling example so many people we can call just like you know

what they say about girls there's a lot of fish in the sea just like that

there's a lot of opportunity man Nikesh will always find you you'll find that

out Nikesh will always find a way to tie up anything with you know we do this

past you know fifty girlfriends or you know girls so yeah I learned from my

failures yeah that makes sense now final closing thoughts for me is again

number one accept your failures okay embrace them they are your best friend

okay and think of failure rejection as a number game okay like I said the more

you fail the better you get at it so if you feel like hey I'm not so good with

copywriting you know MLM marketing recruiting people whatever it is okay or

getting a girlfriend think of it this way okay the more you

do it the master you become okay so for example last example I'll give you so

initially when I was writing copy for my sales pages I sucked at it but you know

what I thought in my mind is okay I'm though I'm the but I'm the best

person who knows about my product myself so exactly I II did not want to hire a

copywriter initially so I wanted to make sure that I could write a copy then I'll

give my copy to a copywriter to improve grammar or flow okay and I kept doing it

doing initially my copy sucked and people actually said oh your copy sucked

okay and I asked him why tell me yeah you know when people tell you you know

it sucks astín why that's actually going to get

you some feedback and when they say something nasty don't take it personally

don't take it personally take it as a you know feedback that you can help to

improve okay exactly so with that now you know that's all we

have for today so I hope you enjoyed this session if you liked it go ahead

and hit that like button and comment this with any questions or your story

right so tell us about how you are overcame

rejection or what your fear is what your failure is really fun to help you out

exactly thank you guys. Ciao! Ciao!
